FIAM - Gone Before Her: The Funeral Director Who Left Before She Did
Welcome to Fraud in a Moment - This 7-minute story shares the scamming of an unsuspecting senior who spent $11,400 pre-planning her funeral — white lilies, Psalms, a brushed silver casket — so her children wouldn't have to. She put the contract in a filing cabinet she never told them about. When she passed, her daughter found a padlocked building and a disconnected phone. An unlicensed funeral director was operating a scam he had run twice before in other cities.
