- 0:36[SPEAKER_05]: It's a survivor trader podcast in that order.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome to two chunks.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_03]: I'm Jordan.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'm Dose, I'm Dose, I'm Dose, I'm Dose, you guys ever say your own name wrong?
- 1:05[SPEAKER_01]: No, I always say my name wrong, we can get to that when it's my turn.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_04]: Go ahead.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_01]: I'm Dose, today's punchline comes from the Halsion Days of 2019, before the famine, before the pandemic, before all the bad stuff happened when the world was still good.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_01]: The punchline is anywhere, as long as it's a hip joint.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_04]: And where does the pelvis want to hang out?
- 1:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was going to say where does the female like to go?
- 1:39[SPEAKER_01]: Ooh, too specific.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_01]: Where do skeletons go for a fun night out anywhere, as long as it's a hip joint ad?
- 1:46[SPEAKER_04]: Still works, but not as good.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_04]: I'm Carter, and I think we've talked about this on the podcast phonetically.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_04]: We don't naturally pronounce my name correctly.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_04]: If we were to spell, however, when pronounces my name, it would be C-A-R-D as in Doug.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_04]: He-R-U-R. Nick, you are, you are, yes.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_01]: Carter Carter.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_04]: C-A-R. Because to actually hear the T-U-H-R. To hear the T, if we were to say my name, is a way, it feels like a waste of time.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: To hear the T-R-D, you gotta tune into untucked.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: Especially when every part of your Boston for a weekend.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, gotta.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_02]: Gotta.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_02]: C-A-D. And whose host was that?
- 2:25[SPEAKER_02]: I'm engaged, engaged, engaged, engaged, he is joined us.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_03]: I'm still Jordan, regular style.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_03]: That's how I like to say.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_03]: I have pulled up a list of the Survivor 50 cast sort of by A, choose some fun facts.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_03]: I'm older than Q, that doesn't seem possible.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_01]: How many articles of clothing have you invented?
- 2:45[SPEAKER_01]: Zero.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: Zero articles.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_01]: How many?
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: He was ahead of you.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_03]: I am about 12 days older than Q. I am about two months younger than Savannah.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_03]: That's sort of right where I land.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_03]: in this cast.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_03]: I would be one of the younger people on this cast, which makes me feel good, because sometimes I feel older than younger.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_03]: So it's nice to know that I would be, you know, in that spot, but I am older than you, which doesn't seem right.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_03]: Our oldest cast member is Mike our next oldest care to take a guess.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: Mike is 54.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_03]: Surrey is our next oldest cast member, also 54.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_03]: Roughly the exact same time, Mike was born in June, Surrey was born in July.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_03]: After that is what we see, Mike is June 28th, 1970.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_03]: Right there, right there.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_03]: Chrissy is the next youngest, also 54.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_03]: So we got 354 year olds.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_03]: After that, we've got Coach Colby and then Jenna.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_03]: So that kind of rounds out our oldest contestants here.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_03]: Can you, in that area to take a guess?
- 3:46[SPEAKER_04]: Don't they seem so old?
- 3:47[SPEAKER_04]: Like if they appear old,
- 3:49[SPEAKER_04]: They seem so, well, it's like, certainly not the same, but to some lesser extremity, like, watching professional sports.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_00]: For sure, especially the really act.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_04]: This is playing, Ovech can just playing hockey right now.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_04]: How old is he gauge?
- 4:02[SPEAKER_04]: Like, 45?
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's pre-es out there for sure.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_04]: So, it feels ancient.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_04]: On Survivor, though, he's a middle of a pack.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_04]: Sure.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_04]: If he's on the island.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_04]: We have all the people in different parts.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_03]: Our exact middle here are 12 and 13 out of 24.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_03]: So, our 12 and 13, the case of four-year gap.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_03]: between our 12 and 13, would you care to guess who are exact two middle at 35 years old and 39 years old, who are two middle-aged, contestants of the season are?
- 4:29[SPEAKER_03]: 35 and one of whose Kyle?
- 4:31[SPEAKER_00]: I would guess Aubrey isn't there.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_04]: No, have we already said Aussie?
- 4:36[SPEAKER_04]: We have not said Aussie.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_04]: I think Aussie's 39.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_04]: Wrong.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_04]: I think Older.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_04]: Aussie's 43?
- 4:41[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that whole tribe
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: They don't have anyone in their 20s, I would guess.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: And I would bet they have like three or yeah, they have three people who are older than 40.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_03]: Aubrey, Aubrey is Laura Camilla.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_03]: Genevieve.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_03]: Or Camilla, Genevieve and Camilla both land in the younger half, Genevieve 34, Camilla's 31.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_03]: Who's 35?
- 5:07[SPEAKER_03]: That would be Angelina is 35, born in 1989.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_03]: So that leaves our 39 year old in the middle on the older half of the middle.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_03]: Care to guess.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_03]: We've got 139, we have 239 year olds.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_03]: One is Aubrey.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_03]: One is slightly younger than Aubrey.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_03]: One month exactly, almost younger than Aubrey.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_03]: Who's our, who's our middle baby?
- 5:24[SPEAKER_03]: Who's the youngest of the olds?
- 5:25[SPEAKER_01]: I have a. Yeah, Brazil.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: 39.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: It's Christian.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: You make it.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's Dr. Christian.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: You make it.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's Dr. Christian.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_01]: You make it.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_03]: It's Dr. Christian.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_03]: You make it.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_03]: It's Dr. Christian.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_03]: You make it.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_03]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_03]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_01]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_01]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_01]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_04]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_03]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_04]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_04]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_04]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_04]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_04]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_04]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_03]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_04]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_04]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_04]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_01]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_04]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_04]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_04]: Dr. Christian.
- 5:44[UNKNOWN]: Dr. Christian
- 5:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the comfortable spot for me.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're, are do you think they'll fly you in?
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: I hope to replace you if you may have had to go home on accident from the first episode.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, probably.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: Christian adopted a new nickname in the very first episode.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, Spock?
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know anything about Star Trek, so I couldn't tell you which one he was.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: Spock?
- 6:03[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, me neither, bro.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know anything about Star Trek.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_04]: You don't know enough about the top two people on Star Trek.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: No, I truly could not tell you whose buck is.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: I know that Patrick Stewart is on the show.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's pretty different though.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_01]: We'll chat and start track the next generation.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_01]: Very good start track.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, once again, I'd like to reiterate my first point that I don't know what you some kind of job or something.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: What are you trying to prove you guys?
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, what's my socials?
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: I did play two sports in high school.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I played none, but did watch a lot of start track.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_03]: I watch no Star Trek, but control as Moses has taught me everything I need to know about the good, the good Spockman.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_03]: Chris Pine is there sometimes.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_03]: Sure, yeah.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_03]: The new movie.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_03]: Before we jump in, before we jump in, before we jump in, before we jump in to full discussion, it's time for my come up ends.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_03]: I do have a decision to make.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_03]: If you listen to our our draft episode, we each drafted a winner pick in addition to our teams.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_03]: My winner pick was also on my team.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_03]: So I am double bound, which is.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_03]: You know, kind of fun.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_03]: But I have lost Kyle to a pretty horrific Achilles injury.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, man.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_03]: Huge bummer.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_03]: I just want to say if I may utilize Kyle for just a moment, I really still feel like up to the point that he was
- 7:34[SPEAKER_03]: ejected from the game for his injury man.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_03]: He was doing such a good job.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_03]: He was building so much relationship and he was like really downplaying his threat level and really overplaying his like charm and charisma and I think he was in a good spot.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm not just bummed for me, but I'm just bummed I feel like we've been kind of robbed of seeing a really great player doing his thing and that's always devastating.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_03]: Seems like he's doing fine now, which I'm happy to happy to report.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure if you've seen on social, he did have a big post about like his entire recovery journey all the reason.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, no way, I don't even have a salute boss, yeah.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he did really impressive.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I mean, clearly a major injury.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was the right call to a judge from the game, but man, that sucks.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_00]: It's also like an athlete and an injury.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_03]: Like, people don't really injury.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, like, right.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: In the NFL, you know, four players tear their Achilles a season.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like a year-long recovery.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's dead.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: He, same kind of thing happens in Star Trek, but gauge would only know about that.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_03]: They called the, they, he sparked himself as what they call it.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: He got, he got sparked, which is, he was thinking about space too hard in his Achilles.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_03]: It sucks.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_03]: It sucks.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_03]: The thing about Kyle is, I think he is an amazing survivor player and I'm happy I chose him as my winner pick because I feel like you deserve the credit.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_03]: But it is time for me to pick someone else.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_03]: And what I have here in my in my brain is I've been at war today trying to make my decision.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_03]: And ultimately, I have, there's, there's two wolves in every man when it comes to deciding their survivor pick and the wolf that wins is the one that you feed and I've decided to feed the wolf that makes me feel good.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_03]: So my winner pick is not just someone that I think could win it, it's somebody that I think at the end of the day, I've decided I want to see when this.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_03]: In my opinion, there are six main characters so far, after the first episode, there have been six people set up as our main characters.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_03]: Kyle would have been one of them.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_03]: He's now gone.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_03]: In my opinion, who we have worked with.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_01]: Well, wait, hang on.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_01]: Who are the other five?
- 9:39[SPEAKER_03]: Who are we talking about to get there?
- 9:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he's kind of like, I just got so excited.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_03]: The beginning of the sentence leads to the next part, most of the time.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_01]: I just got so excited.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_01]: I wanted to know where it was going.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_03]: So in my opinion, the main characters that we have had set up so far are Colby,
- 9:54[SPEAKER_03]: Genevieve.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_03]: I think we have had Mike White and a little bit Savannah shockingly.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_03]: And then the other two main characters.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_03]: Guess how I did, guys.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_03]: I won.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_03]: Or by the way, I have some tea on that moment.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_03]: But the other two main characters, I think are Aussie and Suri pretty clearly.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_03]: They have been set up as our six sort of main narrators and main characters.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_03]: Also, I think Christian and Devons, but they, it's debatable whether they're like,
- 10:25[SPEAKER_03]: Reliable narrators versus like main characters here.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_04]: They're sort of like rose and crancing killed.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_03]: That's right.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_04]: What happens?
- 10:31[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and with with with a three-hour premiere.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_04]: Even saying six is hard.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_03]: I agree.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_04]: That's just who I production has done a good job of giving us access to the largest cast we've ever had.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_05]: you know.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_03]: I love all six of these people, all of these players.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_03]: I think that every one of them has a pretty good chance of winning.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_03]: I did find out, Genevieve didn't learn fire her first season because she played too much Baldur's Gate 3.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_03]: This time I did find out the same problem except Expedition 33.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_03]: So we know she's at least got good taste.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_01]: Um, the celebs are just like us for just like us.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_01]: I have just I need for real.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_03]: That I want a winner pick that I want to win the game.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_03]: I am taking Surrey as my winner pick.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_03]: Love it.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_03]: I just admit a point where like,
- 11:17[SPEAKER_03]: Just give it to her.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_03]: Just let her go.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_04]: You wanted Kyle to win, too.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_03]: I did.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_04]: No, I didn't really do much of a change of her.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, no, no.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I love Kyle.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_03]: But I just, man, at this point, it's like, what a legacy she has and she came.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_03]: I think I was a little like, is she gonna come to play or is she gonna come like Big Brother?
- 11:34[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_03]: Turns out she came to play.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_03]: And she showed us in this episode, if you say her name, you better be confident.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_01]: If, if I'm Suri's elementary school teacher, I'm remembering, oh, it's actually better for her.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_01]: If I separate her from her friend, Miss Felicia, then let her be the student.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_01]: I know she can be.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see if they further.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_01]: 100% big brother Serri showed up and was like I am not having fun.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_01]: I'd rather just chill in the background with my friend Miss Felicia.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_01]: But this performance from Serri, I'm glad that we're here now because I want to talk about this.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_01]: The most like in a season where people are either like I'm double coach, I'm doubling down on everything that I am.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a man of honor, even though not really or Ozzy.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_01]: I'm nothing I was before.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_03]: I'm an Oscar.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_03]: Oscar.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_04]: So reach with my wife and abs or a great representation of my question.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, yes, I will say that moment from both Aussie and Colby where you see them like Colby's having a good time.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: He's smiling and laughing.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_00]: I've never seen him smile on surface.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_03]: He's never been happy before.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_00]: Well, like it's up when he said he wasn't a he said I know Hershey Bar.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, let's.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_01]: but Surrey firmly fits into that first category of like I'm doubling down on everything I am because Surrey's entire move of like, oh, she was gonna put my name down.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_01]: Can you believe that?
- 12:54[SPEAKER_01]: You would never do something like that.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_01]: Would you, I didn't think so.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_01]: That would be crazy.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: She's unbelievable.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_00]: I can't believe it worked.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_00]: And also, I fully believe that Surrey wanted to work with Jenna.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_00]: Like, yeah, I think so too.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: There's no incentive for her to have gone out swinging agenda.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: No, Jenna did say, and I do think, at least some of these exit interviews have some value, that Christian basically planted the idea that they should get sure out first, and then just set her loose on the drive.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, fair enough.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_03]: Fair enough, fair enough.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_00]: Don't want to speak to the fucking thing I know.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_03]: So a spot to speak of out of gameplay, tea.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_03]: I did hear what's her name from this most recent season.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_03]: There were three of Sophie.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_03]: So Sophie, purple Sophie, from this most recent season was on Rob Hizepodcast this week.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_03]: She said,
- 13:48[SPEAKER_03]: that Savannah was planning on going in and lying about her performance in her season.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_03]: She was going to go in and say that she got like fifth and that her and Rizzo had already talked about it and had agreed that they were going to lie about how they both did and say that they both got out earlier than they had that they were going to maintain that lie and basically say like somebody you know caught what they were doing and separated them and then got them out but alumni found out that she had won
- 14:13[SPEAKER_03]: And that a tweet about it made its way back to Purple Sophie who called Savannah as she was on her way to the airport right before they confiscated her phone and was able to sell Savannah right before she got on the plane game saving move hit eject on your plan do not lie about where you came in in the season.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_03]: So that was Savannah's backup plan which is like guess how good I am.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_03]: I pretty good.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_04]: It's so funny and survivor that and we even get it with returning players that they do like these cosplay moves because as I got you existed before to where you want to have a lie, but that kind of lie makes no sense.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_04]: No, that's not worth it.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_04]: Valiable about saying you didn't do well, no one's going to do so.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_04]: It's not like we're getting so painstakingly, but there's 24 people to be like, well, you're not playing with stupid people.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_00]: If you're on a side with seri, don't lie about something stupid like that.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_00]: Like, also, you know, I really like Savannah as a, as a contestant, she's great for TV.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think that she's a really bad liar.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_00]: You know, she came back with her resort and was like, I didn't, I just had to go home.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_03]: Nothing happened to me.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_00]: Joe of all people is like, it's like, oh, this guy thinks now.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, Joe's got ideas now.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_03]: All of a sudden, Joe's got thoughts.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_00]: Just been like a year getting grailed on the internet for like not seeing through Kiling, Camille's truly brilliant plan.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_03]: Dude, his explanation of, I got a wedgie on national TV is so accurate, too.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_03]: Like, that is basically, yeah.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_03]: We watched it with my mom, who didn't finish that season.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_03]: And she was like, did he really?
- 15:49[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, no, mom.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, he did not get an actual wedgie.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_01]: His heart did.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_01]: He got a heart wedgie.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_01]: His heart did.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_01]: His heart got its undies pulled all the way up, and saw his heart's butt cheeks on TV.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_03]: They're pink because we were spanking them.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_01]: They're like bad spank his heart's bare ass on TV, like a baby.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so with that change in winter pick.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_00]: I have three cardazazzy.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_00]: Jordan has three.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_00]: Doge has Genevieve.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like everybody is feeling probably pretty good about they're wearing the same winter pick.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_01]: Which is to me, but okay.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_01]: Well, tell me about this though, because that'll basically mean like if to rewinds, then She just gets gauge one more point than she gets Jordan right.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_00]: And you're feeling about a gen of Eve at this point.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like Kyle was her number one.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_00]: Even though I don't know if it was explicitly said, but it feels like that was what we were communicated It well, I mean she had a big moment after he was ejected of like man, I kind of have to go back to the drawing board now
- 16:52[SPEAKER_03]: Does it make you feel any particular way to know that she has once again confirmed that she did not practice fire coming in like I know that fire doesn't fire's not the end all beyond of winning the game, but like Does it make you feeling a particular way about like man she really she really didn't like double down on any of her weaknesses last time it seems like
- 17:12[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think her weakness is last time.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_01]: Like the one that was in her control was fire.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_01]: The one that was out of the kind of tough spot she got put in out of her control is that she just sort of chose the wrong side of the alliance.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_01]: Like she just got on the opposite side of some pretty important votes and her side got picked off.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_01]: Um, you can argue that that's because she went in and was like, I'm not here to make friends.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not even going to want to be part of the names.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just trying to vote him out.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_01]: That's sort of just a big part of it.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_01]: But I think that the crux of it is her side just got picked off first.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_01]: Just the numbers fell a certain one.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_03]: Just losing Kyle, make you feel like you're hearing echoes of familiar song again for Genevieve.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_01]: Or that is what makes me nervous.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_01]: Because like, she is doing the same thing.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_01]: She did last time establishing, like, trying quickly to say, who's on my team and who is not on my team?
- 17:59[SPEAKER_01]: Who is us and who is them?
- 18:00[SPEAKER_01]: Let's make sure us is getting all of them out.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_01]: And, man, I really hope she didn't pick poorly for the second.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_01]: See, sure.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_00]: I think that Kyle was the perfect person for her to make an alliance with.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_00]: She has a lot in common with Camilla, I feel.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_00]: But Kyle was immediately basically hedging his bets, making sure that everyone thought well of Kyle to be fair he's the muscle on that tribe.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not like they were likely to boat him out early anyways.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that really works for Genevieve
- 18:37[SPEAKER_00]: Was the complete opposite of more rights right?
- 18:41[SPEAKER_00]: So I wouldn't be shocked if, you know, Genevieve right now, I think is is fine in her tribe, but a tribe swap might be really I can't think of anybody who might be like singularly harmed more than Genevieve.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_01]: She's not quick to get to know people and build alliances in the way that she needs to be.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_01]: She's very quick to be like, are we working together?
- 19:02[SPEAKER_01]: But like, doesn't appear to take it past that?
- 19:05[SPEAKER_01]: very quickly so I listen it's a guess yeah and I think she's she's good socially if she has enough runway like her plane can fly really high but it takes a while to take off and I think any of these setbacks we have not actually seen that I think what I would say is it seems like she could be good so surely yeah sure I agree and I agree and I think she could
- 19:30[SPEAKER_00]: That interaction with Aubrey was so weird.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_00]: No, I love this.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_03]: I loved it because I love that.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'd be like to take it.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_03]: We need Aubrey's energy to look at Genevieve and be like, yeah, Aubrey was the Aubrey was the pre-season betting favorite to win this season.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_02]: Really?
- 19:50[SPEAKER_00]: She had like 42% of better is voting for her to win.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's interesting.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_00]: I think,
- 19:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think I love Aubrey.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_00]: I do too, and I'm just curious to see where it goes, because I would imagine that moment is designed to show us that there's let to foreshadow some impending conflict.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_03]: And that's really interesting, if we get so there's going to be conflict.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_03]: Look, every one of those people that I love to watch play and would would probably take a pass on hanging out with just because I feel like she would stress me out.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_01]: But all the reasons
- 20:30[SPEAKER_03]: who on this cast is the top of your list of like I love to watch you play and I would give anything how do you kind of coach a little bit cute a little bit Angelina Mike White Sari I mean Sari is like well sure Mike White I know you're trying to get on my look I would love to be on my look no Sari is like the embodiment of she's she's the she's the perfect cross-section of like amazing player would love to hang so like yeah seriously a lot of this cast I would be I love so much
- 20:59[SPEAKER_04]: what I would call like thoughtful intellect.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_04]: I think a lot of times, incredibly cerebral people can feel like they don't have any social skills.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_04]: You know, and doing extent, we can look at Christian and say he's awkward in a very charming way.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_04]: But you also shouldn't be for Christian stuff.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_04]: We're talking about being a dad, which melt my entire heart and audience.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_04]: Sure.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_04]: even before that an incredibly thoughtful person.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_04]: I think I could get lost in his lemurized for 10 straight hours.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_04]: Sure.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_04]: At dinner.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_04]: And we've continued to say we're not ready yet.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_04]: And it's for AM and you haven't even gotten an appetizer.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_04]: Are you hungry?
- 21:40[SPEAKER_04]: We remember we are.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_04]: Let's go to Wendy's.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, Christian, it way up there.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think for me, Charlie's pretty high up the list right now.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_00]: That's his cool.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_00]: Ozzy, I was not thrilled about on South Pacific when he like had his little like followers and then got really mad at Cochrane for not going along along.
- 22:03[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_00]: But Aussie as Oscar seems super cool.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, do I want to hang out with Aussie?
- 22:08[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_00]: Do I want to hang out with Aussie?
- 22:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_00]: If I hung out with Oscar, I might be swayed to get a little loopy or something.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I think Aussie is the champion.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_04]: I loved our conversation to start the episode of Talking About People that are deciding to have a bit of a...
- 22:23[SPEAKER_04]: a reaper survivor identity shift in someone doubling down and it so happens now with Jordan's pick for for champions and me being Aussie 75% of us are picking the strongest duo you could argue first three hours of footage to win the game and it's just because there is a
- 22:46[SPEAKER_04]: While Sari can be, you know, the black widow and make these backstabby things late in the game, there is something genuine that it feels about her wanting to actually pair up with Ozzy.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_04]: And to hear them in post, I think it's fun.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think it's needed, but I do love having access to just what these contestants are saying about the show that they were on.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_04]: And we know that Ozzy and Sari.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_04]: And in my mind, I was kind of like, I-
- 23:10[SPEAKER_04]: I'm sure they could have been great friends if they had only spent two days on an island together, but something makes me think they're both gonna be here for a while for the way that they're talking about each other.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_00]: And it's about time.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's about time that they're like, we're so good at opposite things.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_00]: We should collapse.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_04]: I feel great about my pick, by the way.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'm sure.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_04]: This is unreal.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_04]: And what's tough is so many of the same advantages, by the way.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_04]: Ozzy-like players are the ones that go home with all these advantages sometimes.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_04]: So we'll look at the see how often this is.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, Ozzy-like players do go home with advantages, but I feel like with the new era, there has been a shift in, it's a bunch of smart players that think,
- 23:51[SPEAKER_03]: they need to get rid of physical players, which actually proves they're not very smart play.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_03]: Like it's this whole weird dynamic.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_03]: I still haven't really figured out how much of the new era baggage, all the old school players have brought with them, like if they've hijacked themselves out about like, it's a new game, it's a different game or if they've come in and been like, that's all bullshit, it's just survival, or let's go play survivor.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that's the real answer.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_04]: And we've certainly seen an influence with Genevieve giving
- 24:18[SPEAKER_04]: thick-headed Aussie a immunity idol for sure.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_04]: Up the new underestimate some kind of old maybe.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah 100%.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'll say the only thing that I'm worried about for Aussie is I think Aussie should be really hoping that they send D-hom before they connect because I think that D is like, I mean, oh, it's a script.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_00]: Different tribe.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_00]: different trial for now.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I'm saying like for Aussie should at night be like.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_03]: I hope that I don't be there at the merge.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_03]: Please don't.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_03]: He needs to know that Aussie will come out if D's like you want to see my long ass toes and then Aussie needs to know that he's got to protect Oscar by shutting that down because you are absolutely right we know that Aussie is easily swayed by a pretty girl who can talk fast and he slowly starts being like
- 25:18[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna start really focusing on providing for the trauma.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_03]: I'm gonna get fish.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_03]: I think maybe my best thing to do is just to go fishing for D.I.V.T.G.J.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_03]: service fish.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_04]: I'm just gonna get fish.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_04]: I, we talked about cow being out of the episode.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_04]: Jenna is as well.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_04]: Jenna is, so I'm also down to five tribe members of my team.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_04]: And this was a, there is something so solidifying and strong about Suri,
- 25:48[SPEAKER_04]: being targeted in the first episode in surviving completely.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that kind of feels like we're just using the, what is it, is it, when you use the resistance to air of the like driver in front of you?
- 26:04[SPEAKER_04]: What is it, when they're swinging in the stream?
- 26:06[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we're in the slipstream.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_04]: We're in the slipstream of Jenna for a little bit.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_04]: And so he has just launched herself.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_04]: and so I feel really good about that ultimately.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_04]: Well, point, point totals, though.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_04]: I am collectively in second place.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I'm in a tie for second.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_04]: No, I'm alone in a second place.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_00]: And we have another three way tie for first place.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_04]: Three way take for first.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_04]: We have fire making so exciting.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_04]: It is so fun to watch with these added.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_04]: point totals.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_04]: I was afraid for three male.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_04]: We didn't get any yet.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_03]: Devon's Jim to the camera got me a point.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_00]: Did you see what he did?
- 26:45[SPEAKER_00]: Don't let him in the lead if Colby didn't lose his vote.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_01]: Holy Colby come on playing reverse Jenga.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_03]: And in that same point in that same thought process, I believe if Savannah had had the surprise advantage given to her, I would have been second place.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_00]: And then we decided to TBD this boomerang idol.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, to see who ends up with it.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's the best way to do that.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure there will be
- 27:15[SPEAKER_00]: at least one more that pops up.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because Rick Devon is probably gonna find an idol soon.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_03]: I thought he did.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_03]: They got me with that head and right away.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_00]: He did.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so good.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_03]: I thought he did.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_03]: But I'm so thrilled.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, this season is off to such a great start.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_03]: First episode is amazing.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_03]: I would say if you're not a survivor person,
- 27:37[SPEAKER_03]: But you've been curious.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_03]: It's honestly not a bad season to start with.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: It gives you another survivor person on your hearing.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_01]: I say this.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_01]: What have you been doing?
- 27:44[SPEAKER_03]: Why have you been listening to me many times?
- 27:46[SPEAKER_03]: But are you really good?
- 27:47[SPEAKER_03]: If you've got friends that want to get into survivor and I really feel like 50 is a decent jumping in point.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_03]: They're giving a lot of context behind who everybody is.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like you're catching up pretty well and able to like.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_03]: Enjoy.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_01]: You'll have a similar experience with Carter starting the challenge.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_01]: Carter started the challenge as season 40, which was battle over the arrows, which is very much similar to the way casting work for Survivor this season, a bunch of players, throughout the show's history.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's, you're right.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_01]: This is a good jumping on point.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_01]: You get to know a lot of the, a lot of the big faces right away.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, for sure.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Carter and I both started at season 40 of the challenge and then watched every in backwards.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, worth it.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_03]: worth it.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_03]: Well, we've got our winner picks locked in.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_03]: We've got our teams ready for next episode, which as this episode releases will be the next day.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_03]: So if you don't know, when it comes on, it's Wednesday nights.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_03]: And I'd encourage you to watch because it's a good time, but other than that, we'll, we'll keep you posted next week as we talk a little more survivor about for now.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_03]: Do you think we've got a head to shout announcements and say, say,
- 28:55[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, bye.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_03]: Bye, Gage.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, bye.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_03]: Bye.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_03]: Part of the show, that's what it's called when you see a joke flying around your head.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_03]: You swat out at like a fly?
- 29:27[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's my kid.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_03]: It's shoutin' out.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry to shout out to Megan Aspen.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_03]: Shout out to Gage, jumpin' in with us.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_03]: He is, thanks, man.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_03]: DMGM for us over on Imagine Dungeons where he has created this incredible story inside of a world that has also got his thumbprint's all over it.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_03]: He's really done a great job with not only side characters, but story beats and pacing.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_03]: It's a hard job, especially when you've got,
- 29:53[SPEAKER_03]: five goofballs that are neighbors trying to do rail at all times and yeah he keeps us focused and keeps us headed in the right direction and he he pivots with us and let's us adopt NPCs in a really beautiful way he's really so good we did find out we did find out in our group text with him yesterday that one of the central NPCs was intended to be a mini boss in like the first three or four sessions we play and we didn't decide
- 30:22[SPEAKER_03]: He's been with us ever since.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_03]: It's true.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, he rolls with it.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_03]: He does such a great job.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_03]: And if you're not going to listen for any other reason, listen because Gage is really great at what he does.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_03]: And he's got good survivor takes.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_03]: We enjoy talking to him about survivor.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_03]: He'll be jumping in with us throughout the season to give updates on points, but also chat with us about how the season's going.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_03]: And so far so good.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_03]: So I think it's going to be some good reality TV discussion as we have after shout-in-answered for you as well, spoiler alert.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_03]: Get in it.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_03]: Get in it.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_03]: Jump on nobody else.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_01]: Get in it.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_03]: Get in it.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_03]: Download it on your phone and get in it.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_03]: Go over to Patreon.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_03]: Jump in a discord.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_03]: How long have we had discord for years?
- 31:03[SPEAKER_03]: 10 years, 50 years.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_04]: Highest retention rate of any organization in history.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_03]: That's true.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_03]: Easy.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_03]: That's actually true.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't even have to look it up to know that's true.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_03]: So, actually, I'm going to Google right now.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_03]: Highest.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_03]: Highest.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_01]: retention, make sure it's right in history so that it's ever in history.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_03]: In history in quotes so Google actually of all time ever.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I had the end.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_01]: We don't have the eye over view.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_03]: Hold on.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_03]: No, when I say minus I note.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, no, it's still two chunks.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, two chunks.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_03]: Wow.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because whole Carter.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_03]: I think I brought my keyboard for that joke.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_03]: Let's head back to the show.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_03]: We're back to the show.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_03]: Time to talk about traders.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_03]: Season four finale, it's over.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_01]: He did it.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_01]: The time for the talk is done.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_03]: The time for the talk is done.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_03]: Can you give me your never gonna have a girlfriend after this but as Alan coming?
- 32:06[SPEAKER_01]: Dear Rob, you're never going to have a girlfriend after this.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_01]: You see, it was almost right, but it was still not almost right.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's still not.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_01]: You're never going to have a girlfriend after this.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Mars took up in there.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_01]: What a fool.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_03]: I'm a fool.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_03]: What a fantastic second place.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_03]: You call it my better second place because the first place did go spoiler alert.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_03]: Why are you listening?
- 32:31[SPEAKER_03]: It did go to our big boy, our big beautiful boy, our big handsome, beautiful boy, Rob Roush.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_04]: Come on, Rob.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_04]: At the end of our last episode, our sign-off was what was he going to wear?
- 32:44[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_04]: I got pretty close.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_04]: Now you did.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_04]: You really did.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_04]: Rob the white.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_04]: Did make it appear.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_04]: Rob wasn't the law white.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_01]: That was right.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_03]: That is.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_03]: He, the way that he, I got to say, we've been dancing around it.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_03]: We haven't really gone right at it.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_03]: We've been dancing around it all trade or season.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_03]: We all would let him kiss us.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_03]: That's the thing.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_03]: And the way that he says at the end, I'm a trader, I have been the whole time.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_03]: No, really, I am a trader.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_03]: I was like, I forgive him, I forgive him, yeah, I forgive him.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_03]: He's too charming.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_04]: He's too powerful.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_04]: 100%.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_04]: This man.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_04]: It was just a person.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_04]: It was an incredible end.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_04]: And I haven't even had enough time for it to fully resonate.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_04]: But this was one of the better seasons of a reality competition show that I've seen in the last great.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_04]: Much less.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_04]: To me, what is clearly the best season of traitors we've ever had, easily.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_04]: No, no real contest.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_04]: And it was just, it was incredible.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, there's just one of the some of the first things that you want to do, especially if you feel like you
- 33:52[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, can see yourself in situations like this, you know, one of the, one of the great fun questions of anyone who watches a lot of reality competitions is like, which one do you think you'd be the best at?
- 34:03[SPEAKER_04]: Right?
- 34:03[SPEAKER_04]: Because we're always kind of trying to be like, how would I handle this situation?
- 34:08[SPEAKER_04]: Um, and so to see, just Rob just do it perfectly.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_04]: It's pretty incredible.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_04]: I can't really believe that he was, he was able to pull that off.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_03]: And it really was perfect, wasn't it?
- 34:19[SPEAKER_03]: They're really weren't any missteps for Rob, other than I would argue, like, his overreaction at the challenge, but it didn't really come back to bite him at all.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_04]: So, and that really seemed like an overreaction.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_04]: It's the audience being nitpicky at some point, too, and just kind of going off of the straws that people were grabbing out around the round table.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_04]: For sure.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_04]: He shouldn't have dropped his fork, I think that's it.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_01]: This was the right way.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_01]: He shouldn't have dropped his fork for a crunch.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_03]: I called exactly how I thought the ending was going to play out to.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_03]: I thought I felt like Rob's happy to get to a winning solo was getting out Mark because Mark was going to be the last.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_03]: person capable of swaying Mara.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_03]: That's what I think was that if Mark was there, they were in trouble because Mark is earnest enough that he would be able to see through everything and get Mara, but because they murdered Mark, it was just free and clear and I never really felt like Mara was going to go with Tara or Johnny.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_03]: I never really felt like that was going to happen.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_03]: But the surprise backstab of Eric at the end, can we talk about that in like,
- 35:17[SPEAKER_01]: There wasn't even more than that charge.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_01]: I cannot believe Rob's pinky promise to her was, I promise I'm gonna help you get Eric out.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_01]: What?
- 35:28[SPEAKER_01]: She led the charge, like the moment that Eric throws his little green bean bag in the fire.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_01]: And then Mara throws hers and it's red and I don't like goodness.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_03]: It's red, too, and Eric just knows.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_04]: Also, by pros, I wish that the fire at the end would just stay in the round table room.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_04]: It makes the most sense.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, just have it be the through line the whole time.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_04]: We've done it outside before.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_04]: Part of me thought maybe it was raining, and that's what it had been right inside.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_04]: Good about it.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_04]: But I like it a lot in here.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, that was crazy.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_04]: That was so good.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_03]: And Eric felt so betrayed.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't blame him.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_01]: He got played.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_01]: He got robbed.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_01]: He got completely played and like, I don't know, I surely he's aware that like the reason Rob picked him to be a co-trater was for that moment.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, too, because like to all the group of his head, like Mario 100% of all the people left Eric is the guy that like, yeah, I'm looking out to him for sure.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_01]: That's the easiest path to victory for me.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_04]: I was thinking about how we've already had a couple of moments where
- 36:28[SPEAKER_04]: We've said, like, we called certain things.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_04]: And that usually feels like it has one of two scenarios.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_04]: Sometimes you call stuff because it's predictable.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_04]: And so then when it happens, you roll your eyes.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_04]: And then sometimes your call is what would make some of the best story.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_04]: And then when it happens, you stand up.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_04]: And so I think,
- 36:47[SPEAKER_04]: There was a moment, several episodes ago, even when we were talking about this, that it felt like, man, they sure did make sure that we saw more talk about.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe when there was 10 people left, what it would look like to be, if it was her and Rob, she's a completely kill you if it's just the two of us, and I find out here in Trader.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_04]: And then that's what I had thought about too.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_04]: So Jordan, Y'all are proud.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_04]: Y'all watch what happens live.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_04]: Y'all try and occasionally, right?
- 37:14[SPEAKER_04]: So it depends on,
- 37:15[SPEAKER_04]: who the guests are and things like that.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_04]: There was one where I think it was Dylan Afron was on.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_04]: I can't remember who else was.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_04]: But they're talking about traders.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_04]: It was near the beginning of traders.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_04]: And they had like a secret trader come out and he had to guess who it was.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_04]: And he kind of got it right because it was Mora.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_04]: And so Mora's on the show.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_04]: And so those moments are always really fascinating to me.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, this is life, but it's also not.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_04]: And so I'm kind of like, you can't help a try and read.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_04]: People do a great job.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know who's on the team of production for the survivors of the world and the traders that have so much media and such long junkets that they have to be in front of people for them to keep their mouths shut, right?
- 37:54[SPEAKER_04]: Who knows what they're signing and who's terrifying them?
- 37:58[SPEAKER_04]: But she seemed,
- 38:02[SPEAKER_04]: So Blasay about it.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_04]: She was just like, you know, and at that point, she's obviously still on the show.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_04]: Sure.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_04]: She would be on the show for so long.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_04]: Part of me was like, man, does she get to the, is she go to it?
- 38:12[SPEAKER_04]: Like, does she get to the end?
- 38:14[SPEAKER_04]: Right.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_04]: And that's why she's so upset.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_04]: She's just like, so bummed at herself.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_04]: But seeing her shock,
- 38:21[SPEAKER_04]: was so good, and even the cut, even the cut to Alan.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_04]: It's that interesting to wear.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_04]: I think of moments in school where I'm not in trouble, but my friend is, and I'm just there, and I'm like, I can't leave, I can't do it.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_03]: I was like fully pretzeled on the couch at one point during Mara's reaction.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_03]: Just watching through my fingers going,
- 38:50[SPEAKER_03]: Because it was so uncomfortable at the end of it.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_03]: I love it.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_04]: And they were a great sport, though.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my goodness.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_04]: If anyone has the right to be the most pissed at Rob by the end of this, maybe it's Candace or Lisa, they would claim that and they continued to.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_04]: They would, of course, they would claim.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_04]: In a fun way.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_04]: But Mara, for sure.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_04]: But she did so good with it.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_04]: She was just like, you know what?
- 39:15[SPEAKER_03]: Mara, you're right.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_03]: Mara is very cool.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_03]: Um, I think what I haven't seen her love island season.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_03]: So I didn't know her before this.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_03]: I think what I learned is that like Mara is unbelievably cool.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_03]: Her vibe the entire season was like she wants to have a good time.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_03]: She wants to make friends.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_03]: She wants to win the game.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_03]: And then at the reunion, she was like, yeah, I'm over it.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_03]: Like, yeah, he played well.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_03]: That's that's the name of the game.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_03]: And I think when somebody can be a good sport.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_03]: when they are legitimately cool.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_03]: I do hate, I hope that her whole, like, I'm so stupid, people think I'm stupid.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_03]: I hope that that's something that she has been working through because she's stupid is not how it describes her.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_03]: She is certainly gullible, but that doesn't make someone stupid.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_04]: Also immediately everyone else will be like, we can feel justice much.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_04]: You just felt the longest, but we still have that now.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_04]: Dude, she's just how good of a game Rob played.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_04]: She was, yeah, what an amazing TV.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_04]: What a great partner for Rob.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_04]: Like, she was also a testament to why she has her own show
- 40:10[SPEAKER_04]: after sunset right she's doing the love island show oh is she after love island yeah she's been doing that for a few years on the way the British iteration of it okay of UK but she has the talk show after like what area about area nomatics yeah thanks it had yeah thanks it's great she's great she's so great
- 40:31[SPEAKER_03]: Um, I also, I did see, I've seen some Rob stuff start to pop up now.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_03]: A lot of his like postseason press is coming out.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_03]: Um, he did like a GQ interview on his land and he's just there in a cowboy hat.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_03]: And I mean, he's just, he's just out there, you know, creating, creating beautiful dreams for everybody.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_03]: But he is asked like, who, who from the cast would you want to hang out with right now?
- 40:54[SPEAKER_03]: And he's like, honestly, most of them,
- 40:56[SPEAKER_03]: He was like, I thought the cast was really fun.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_03]: I think we all made real friendships.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_03]: He was like, but if I'd to pick one, probably Ron.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_03]: And I was like, yeah, dude.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_04]: That's my, Ron would probably echo that immediately.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_04]: Based on what I've seen, it seems like Ron would echo that.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_04]: Because we all watched the reunion.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_04]: What do you see time talking about that, too?
- 41:13[SPEAKER_04]: Sure.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_04]: Sure.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_04]: I thought it was polite how much they didn't talk to Ron.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_04]: and like ask him about his experience, ultimately because of how much he would later come out and say like how uncomfortable in general it was for him.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, I also enjoy this.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, also it's a huge cast and stuff.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_04]: And I think all of the, there were two sides, which was so great for the show.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_04]: There was a team Candice and a team Rob.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_04]: And we talked about this, the game players, and even like personalities in sports are on Rob's side.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_04]: Everybody who's watching this as a game.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_04]: In the way that Rob approaches this,
- 41:46[SPEAKER_04]: is saying, I'm on Team Robb.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_04]: And then of course the problems of the world that maybe perhaps it was their first season likely not because we've been getting big Bravo named since day one on this show basically.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_04]: But to see the respect that kind of came back to Robb from some of these Bravo accounts with how he just like read Candace.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_04]: And she was like it would be like, I can't remember exactly what she said.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_04]: It's just like, and that would be your downfall, and he was like, well, actually, it was yours, right?
- 42:14[SPEAKER_04]: Because, yeah, because I won, you're going out.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, you lost.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_03]: Just, I gotta tell you everybody, good.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_03]: The Bravo personality that comes out of this.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_03]: So high for me is Lisa Rina Lisa yeah, Lisa came into this for union and she was just like by the way Still Lisa never gonna change Rob I love you.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_03]: You're the best him and Lisa were hanging out the other day I saw a picture of them Walking out of some place together and she was in overalls like he usually wears and he had an ice out pin on so Rob's our Woke King turns out.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Bob's cool as hell, please
- 42:46[SPEAKER_03]: Um, he's our Alabama pumpkin who turns out to be part of the woke mob, so look out of the ally in Alabama.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he sure does.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_03]: Um, but yeah, Lisa, Lisa comes out of this looking so cool.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_03]: Um, I think that she took the loss in stride, better than Candice.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_03]: Which I think Candice is, by the way, I think Candice is like, turning it up.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_01]: She's playing it up.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_01]: I think she's playing it up for TV.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, yes.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_01]: And also, I think like, Lisa takes the loss in stride because like, you lost a game on TV, but more than that, like, you were on to her losing out on to her, her losing out on $200,000, she's like, me being like, oh, man, I forgot my quarter in the Aldi shopping cart.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, well.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_04]: Also, what of absolute housewife flags?
- 43:28[SPEAKER_04]: Like, we entered the arena of in terms of reunions.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_04]: Like, Portia was the first person out.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_04]: And she ate, she owned.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_03]: She was so funny and also what I understand to be her reputation, she fulfilled here, which is also her reads were wrong.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_03]: At the reunion, she was loudly incorrect about so many things.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody's just like, no, ridiculous.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_04]: And people just laugh when she brings her Ziploc bag of squashed lipstick.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_04]: And I got to say, at least it then says, well, it already, it went bankrupt.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_03]: It was like, it was over.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, Porsche did not Porsche was like, wait, really?
- 44:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_03]: Bob the drag queen delivered one of my favorite moments of the reunion, which is where I feel like what we're talking about with Ron.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_03]: Where everybody was, I feel like respectfully not coming at Ron at the reunion.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_03]: But Bob pulling no punches was just like, Ron, just respectfully, I want to say it felt like you didn't want to build relationships with us.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_03]: Pretty, I'm saying Bob, oh my goodness, Monet, yeah.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_03]: I was just watching the podcast with Rob with Boston and Bob the drag queen together.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_03]: Monet is willing to look at Ron and say like look at the end of the day, just felt like you didn't want to have relationship with us.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_03]: And I feel like that is such a valid question to ask and give Ron a chance to respond a little bit.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_03]: And I feel like in the way that it could have been a respectful thing to not talk to Ron, I also was a little worried that it was going to be a continuation of the things that made him feel separate and uttered as a season.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_03]: And I think I appreciate that Monet gave him a chance to chime in there and like have something to say because if there's one thing I know about Monet, it's that Monet is the furthest thing from a bully.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_03]: Like Monet is such a kind and fun person.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_03]: And so like I think Monet looking at Ron and being like, hey, I want to hear your answer to this.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_03]: It's not just like a set you up for a softball.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_03]: I want to know what you have to say about this and Ron, you know, I have no doubt in my mind that Ron has since the season has been airing, has probably made some better relationships with some of these people
- 45:38[SPEAKER_03]: You know, we've got Mark Palace and we've got Jam Jam and we've got Eric, we've got Monet, we've got these people that are like, seem to be genuinely cool, well-rounded, like kind people.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm sure that that has paid off for Ron relationally post season would be my pleasure.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_01]: I hope so.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_01]: I love Ron.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_01]: I want Ron as one of the people like when I see Ron on TV or when I see Ron succeeding, it's like, oh my close personal friend Ron.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, doing a great job.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_01]: And I want nothing but the best that every day could possibly bring my little personal friend Ron.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_04]: On the topic of my day to it, I felt like there was a moment where the cast
- 46:15[SPEAKER_04]: joined Monet in kind of a bit of an advocacy to get more more drag queens on the show.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, dude.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, which makes the most sense.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_04]: And what a perfect, you know, it's going to be hard to cast a drag queen that's not confident, right?
- 46:30[SPEAKER_04]: That's some of the points.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_04]: For sure, for Monet would be a chain on the traders.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, for sure.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_01]: You think Tricksie and Kat, you could come in and do the whole day in terror.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know each other things.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_03]: I would commit a crime to get Tricksie and Kat on the show on the same season.
- 46:47[SPEAKER_03]: There's so many that would be good.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_03]: I think jinx would be great.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_01]: I think oh my goodness.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_01]: My God, yes.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_01]: There is very little that I think Jinxman soon would not wear.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_01]: That's true.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_04]: I do feel like Jinxman.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_04]: I do think like Jinx would just wear, she would just be Betty Davis for the traitor.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_03]: That's fair.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_04]: He hired time and that's fine.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_03]: A shout out to an early exit character.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm a huge Rob Sesternino fan.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_03]: We've talked about it a little bit outside of the traders and his reality TV appearances.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_03]: He is a the founder of one of the largest reality
- 47:22[SPEAKER_03]: Um, network's ever Rob has a podcast.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_03]: He is talking about somebody that's in it for the love of the game.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_03]: Rob says, you know, loves games.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_03]: He loves games.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_03]: He loves reality TV.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_03]: He loves Bravo shows.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_03]: He loves competition shows.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_03]: Of course he has a soft spot for survivor because that's where he started, but he loves big brother.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_03]: He loves the trader.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_03]: He loves all of these shows.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_03]: I think it was a special moment, and I don't even know if Rob Roush has said he doesn't really watch reality TV.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if he knows how special it was that Rob Sesterne was the one at the end.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_03]: It was like, I just want to give the flowers to 100% Rob R for coming on to the show and delivering what is a
- 47:59[SPEAKER_03]: Dominating and like, yes, series defining performance as a trader, and like, I hope that Rob are understands that he has set in the way that Surrey did for her type of gameplay.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_03]: Rob R has now set the new blueprint for that type of gameplay for the 100%.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_01]: Like I think like looking at the season holistically, there's a moment in Big Brother when it's the second season when Dr. Will plays and invents the like blindsided procedure.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_01]: Like establishes the meta of how that game is played.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_03]: It's like Boston Rob inventing voting blocks basically.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_01]: in 100% and I think that Rob R has invented the meta for how to play traders and like everybody who comes after him will be either it's like the the the Mount Fuji in Japan where's like all Japanese art really has Mount Fuji in it.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_01]: Brandon Sanderson talks about Tolkien the same way.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_01]: All fantasy has Tolkien in it.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_01]: You're always in his shadow.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_01]: Rob R is the Mount Fuji of traders are like every trader that plays after this will either say I'm going to play Rob's game or some kind of play a different game than Rob.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_01]: And so like Rob either way is defining the future of playing as a trader for his game.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_04]: He's going to be a ghost in that castle for a long time.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we've got Boston Robb and Bama Robb.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_04]: Like it's like we've got, yeah, because we're saying the same thing about, like how people would talk about Boston Robb, on the phone.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_04]: In his show.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_03]: Before the season started, I remember us talking, I can't remember if it was on the bottom, but one of the things that we said, when we were talking about this upcoming season of the traders is, we really felt like what the traders needs is their own Boston Robb.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_03]: They really needed somebody to point you and go, oh, they cracked it.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, the traders can win this game if they come to play because that's what it felt like the last couple seasons it was like all the people that come to play are bad and what we learned was like, no, no, no, they came to play the wrong game.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, the meta had not been cracked wide open yet and I feel like Rob has and does it's like what you're saying I know I'm just rephrasing what you said, but I'm just sort of processing it.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_03]: I think that What Rob has done is not just show you this is the path to victory, but what Rob has shown is like there is a path to victory Yeah, and I can find a different one The path what he refined is like I want to win will be friends after and that's the that's the mindset Yes, I think what every winning trader game will have in common
- 50:30[SPEAKER_03]: even if their gameplay looks nothing like, you have to come in and say, we'll be friends after.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, in the path for victory, I think if I'm about to be on traders and I want to try and have a playstyle of someone who did very well, the past of victory for Rob is not something that's like episodic and from point A to point Z.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_04]: Because if you want to play like him, it is the ideals of how he played.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_04]: I believed him, and I still do, when he told Candace at the reunion,
- 51:00[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, hundred percent.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think he was likely to be just me, but you change.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so it's it's just exactly These roots of all of it, which are I don't think he would have stolen it from Eric if Mara hadn't said We got to get Eric out.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_03]: I think he was like all right as long as it's me out.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_03]: I'll do it.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, listen well be open
- 51:19[SPEAKER_04]: Always treat it as a game.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_04]: Always be flexible.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_04]: Don't have a singular vision of the future.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_04]: You have to be able to move stuff around.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_04]: But the great thing about Rob, though, is he does get to have, he will never be replicated.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_04]: Because there are just certain things about his character.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that no one will get to walk in and have.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_04]: It felt like he could, he got to a point.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_04]: The moment I will never forget, I think the top moment for me, and a truly incredible season,
- 51:50[SPEAKER_04]: Readmines when he got the dagger when the dagger moment was maybe that was crazy It was unbelievable and he looked at that he looked at the he looked at the rot whileer of the episode Natalie who is the most competitive
- 52:03[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, even her silhouette is intimidating.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, she's ten.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_04]: And made her look like she got in trouble in case she had to wait her face, but it's like, you know what, I don't, I've never even acknowledged before that Natalie has felt cold, but she seems freezing.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_04]: She seems cold, she's just taking something from her, and that he literally did.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_04]: And that was another thing that helped him win the game.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, he used all of it.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_04]: Oh my god.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_01]: Just a perfect play and I do believe him Carter's like you said like he I think he was truly just thinking next step what's my next step like I don't believe he he came with the end in mind of I'm going to win this game but infinite paths to get there and just what's my best next step right now.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, man.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_01]: I misattributed that quote earlier.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_01]: That's a Terry Pratchik quote that Brandon Sanders and has said out loud.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_01]: So it's sort of like my own Scott and the Wayne Gredsky quote.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, and I'm just adding to the end of it this time.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_04]: I have one more comment, it's awful to mention him, but in this case it's to slight him.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_04]: But so Rob see being able to be like, because Jordan, you were talking about how he is just a, he gobbles up reality television, companies have a reality television and such a celebrator of that.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_04]: And he wouldn't even claim that as much as rap, a poor claims that he's such a housewives fan.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_04]: And here's the difference between,
- 53:30[SPEAKER_04]: whatever Rob see hasn't probably what's borderline many differences.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_04]: She's that like
- 53:35[SPEAKER_04]: Rap a poor who I was in on in the show that it was like, hey, this is, this is okay for the show.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_04]: But then he got to this and he wanted to cause plays a housewife so bad that it was the wrong kind of uncomfortable.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_04]: It was like, you don't, what a nasty person.
- 53:52[SPEAKER_04]: He got an entire past of reality TV to go to go.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_03]: Oh my god, shut up.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, the clip thing, you know, and it was just,
- 54:01[SPEAKER_03]: and didn't he say he straight-up stole that and there is nothing more pathetic than going whatever, you know, not this but just be like clip it and it not landing and then be like, but but but but but I took it directly from somebody else who did it and it was funny when they did it.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, dude.
- 54:20[SPEAKER_03]: They're not you.
- 54:20[SPEAKER_03]: It hit shot up man.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_01]: No, you're basing the best thing about him being on this show is that I feel like the entire nation has come together to say what a terrible person He's yeah, there's a couple other people I think I'll see the nation rally against as well, but I'll start a trap aboard
- 54:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, all every avalanche starts with a single snowflake, and maybe reinforce that snowflake.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe the best thing that ever happened to our country is that Rappaport was on traders for, and people were like, enough isn't enough of these loud dumbasses.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_03]: And then we start to move in the right direction.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you, Peacock.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you, Alan, and thank you, Rob.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you traders for for a great season of reality TV.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_03]: We'll be covering, covering.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_03]: like we're real.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_03]: We'll be talking about it for 50 for the rest of the season.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_03]: We're really excited about it to end wonderful handing off of the baton.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_04]: What a special overlap.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_03]: To end with in 24 hours the beginning.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, it's just wonderful.
- 55:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_03]: To end today's episode at like for each festival say our name and what what now we what's on our wishlist now for
- 55:25[SPEAKER_03]: No names or celebrities, whatever, who cares?
- 55:27[SPEAKER_03]: Like what's on our wish list for Trader's five?
- 55:29[SPEAKER_01]: We know, what are we calling Trader's five?
- 55:31[SPEAKER_01]: Are we calling Trader's five the NBC one or the next peacock one?
- 55:34[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not aware if there's a difference.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_03]: I'm having a hard time discerning.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_03]: If Trader's five is the all newbies or if Trader's NBC and Trader's peacock are going to be two different things, I can't be different.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_03]: I hope they're different because I really love the like all-star game vibes of yeah celebrity traders um I really enjoy that so hopefully they're different but if they're you know just the next game play only not I mean I guess casting too but it feels like they made that decision it's we're gonna be regular folks again after they had absolute stinky season two in season three yeah well season one was when people like there was regular people on that they already feel made the call for they knew it was filmed for and we're like whoa this is amazing oops
- 56:13[SPEAKER_03]: Well, they would have, the call to make it open casting would have happened after they filmed for, so that can't be right.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_03]: But maybe, I don't know, well, four has been done filming for almost a year.
- 56:23[SPEAKER_03]: And they just, yeah, I started helping cast the cast.
- 56:25[SPEAKER_03]: They made that call.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_03]: But anyway, for two chunks, I'm Jordan.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_03]: And I think, I think now, what I would like to see is a trader recruit, a trader, what do you call it?
- 56:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, when they like pick a trader because they're down one, yeah, I'd like to see a trader recruit come in and earn the win.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, like steal it away, get the other traders out and take over the game completely change directions, really dominate that turret.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_03]: I'd like to see a trader recruit come in and like take it and run with it.
- 57:01[SPEAKER_03]: I think that would be really fun.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_03]: We've seen faithfuls when a couple times.
- 57:05[SPEAKER_03]: So I think I'm ready for another a different version of a traders win.
- 57:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think the show's much more interesting when a trader wins or at least a kind of win.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_01]: or at least could win.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_01]: I just I really root for the traders.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's the much more interesting version of the story of the season.
- 57:24[SPEAKER_01]: The secret trader twist.
- 57:26[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_01]: Ultimately, completely wasted on Fdonna Kelsey.
- 57:30[SPEAKER_01]: And I would really love to see a secret trader come in and be a real threat to our turret traders and have them on the back foot scrambling.
- 57:37[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, somebody out there is killing all the wrong people and we're going to get caught.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to get pinned for whatever whoever they are killing.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_03]: Donna Kelsey coming out at the reunion had me be like, why is she with the trade?
- 57:48[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
- 57:49[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
- 57:49[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
- 57:50[SPEAKER_03]: It was a trade if that's right.
- 57:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 57:53[SPEAKER_01]: She was there.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_01]: So Andy Cohen could ask the question does Taylor watch.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 57:59[SPEAKER_01]: That is the reason.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_04]: I'm Carter and I would like to say, I still think there is a new layer.
- 58:05[SPEAKER_04]: to using shields as a trader.
- 58:08[SPEAKER_04]: I think most of the use of these things is happening in the preamble to who should get it, having the conversations around it.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_04]: And then we just go with the knowledge of who has it, so let's not try and kill them.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_04]: There were some situations and Rob didn't need to, to where he was the only one in the turret that knew who had a shield.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_04]: So I think in the murder of it all, if I know that I'm the only one who knows something like this and one of these people that has the shield is my ally on the faithful side, I will try and convince other traders to kill that person so that when breakfast comes and nobody is gone and everybody is there, I now have the knowledge, like you, that feels like such a lock.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_04]: They're like, well, all of us who knew that I have the shield are not traders, right?
- 58:51[SPEAKER_04]: Does that make sense?
- 58:53[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, I get that and because I know I could the person with the shield has to know that you know for this to work.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, for sure.
- 59:00[SPEAKER_03]: No, that's good.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_04]: That would happen all the time with the dagger six.
- 59:03[SPEAKER_03]: What could be interesting.
- 59:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, similarly.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_03]: I think is in it because we've talked about how cool it would be to have like two duos of competing traders that don't share the turret together and each get to murder or alternate but if they were secretly competing for shields to use so that the other traders can't murder their allies right could be interesting yeah there's ways to use it love.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_03]: Mm.
- 59:31[SPEAKER_03]: Good season.
- 59:33[SPEAKER_03]: Looking forward to the next thing they've got for us.
- 59:35[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure it'll be great.
- 59:36[SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, the international traders, like the traders, UK traders, Australia, I think, is one of the other big ones.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_03]: They're only newbies.
- 59:44[SPEAKER_03]: They're not celebrities, and they're really great.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_03]: So, yeah, even if season five is all normies, I think it'll still be an awesome season.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe maybe even better than a couple of the ones we've gotten so far.
- 59:54[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, good time to catch up on some
- 59:59[SPEAKER_01]: The time for the talk is done.
- 1:00:01[SPEAKER_03]: That's true because the pack has never.
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_01]: It's there will be no more words.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, right because the other pack has to done.
- 1:00:11[SPEAKER_01]: Now it's time to vote.
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, yeah.
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I'm a vote.
