- 3:24Welcome, Welcome, Welcome to season two y'all of The Crew Podcast. Of
- 3:31course, I am the visionary Angela Thomas Smith. I am the visionary of
- 3:37the Crew Podcast, and I am stepping in tonight on behalf of Natalie Harvey.
- 3:45Let's Chat with Nat is normally the show that would be airing on tonight,
- 3:49but she had a family emergency, so I will be sitting in for
- 3:54her on tonight. So I am waiting for my guests to show up so
- 3:59that y'all know I am on a keik where I am definitely trying to bring
- 4:04awareness to social injustice. So I am one of the co founders of the
- 4:12Free Texas campaign, So I am trying to help shed some light on what
- 4:19is going on in the state of Texas, things that have been happening in
- 4:23the state of Texas for now three to four decades. So I am trying
- 4:29to expose some of these things. I have been doing some research, writing
- 4:32papers, and contacting different members of the judicial system as well as those that
- 4:42are in position within the government that can help address these issues. So I
- 4:46definitely have been I've been on my grind, y'all been on my grind trying
- 4:51to bring awareness to some of the injustice that has taking place in TDCJ.
- 4:59So just on today, y'all, I received another phone call from one of
- 5:04the inemics telling me that another inmate sound dead. This time the ambulance the
- 5:14EMT workers would not remove the body because the body had already already turned blue,
- 5:21so they would not remove the body. So the body is still there
- 5:25in the facility. They can't say that the person died on the way to
- 5:29the hospital this time, or died in the ambulance. Because they died there
- 5:32in the facility, the EMT workers would not remove it. So, y'all,
- 5:36if y'all don't hear about this in the news, if you in the
- 5:40state of Texas and you don't hear about this in the news, then y'all
- 5:43know that there's definitely a cover up going on inside of tdc J. And
- 5:50I need you guys to be on the huge and help me to help bring
- 5:56awareness to what's going on inside of TDCJ. Y'all, I hear these cases
- 6:00on a regular basis, and I get these phone calls, I get these
- 6:05e messages, and it is a constant. It is something constant. I'm
- 6:11waiting to get this phone call from one of the guys because he sent me
- 6:15an email and he told me he has some amazing news to tell me because
- 6:18what he's about to tell me, he says, is going to uncover a
- 6:21lot of things that has been going on at TDCJ. And he just thanked
- 6:28me for what all I have been doing. And y'all, I feel like
- 6:31I'm not doing enough because to me, I don't see change yet, but
- 6:36it's coming. I'm definitely gonna keep sharing these individual story, gonna keep being
- 6:43an outlet, keep being a platform for them to keep sharing their story and
- 6:48to keep bringing awareness to what's going on, because I feel like the state
- 6:54of Texas has truly let these individuals down because and if you go in some
- 7:00of these other states and you talk about some of the crimes that they are
- 7:06falsely accused some of these individuals with now some of them granted they did do
- 7:11their crimes. Like I talked to an individual on yesterday. You know,
- 7:15he was eighteen years old. He said he made a decision to get in
- 7:18a car with three other individuals. At first, he didn't I don't know
- 7:24if he knew what they were going to do, but the fact that they
- 7:28ended up robbing someone, someone ended up getting killed. And the sad part
- 7:38about it is he wasn't even the person that pulled the trigger, but he
- 7:44was the one that got the rough end of the deal. Like he's the
- 7:50youngest one you talk about. He was just I think he said, thirteen
- 7:56days of turning eighteen, he had just he's only been he's only been eighteen
- 8:01thirteen days and this happens, and he get the stiffest case. Out of
- 8:05all of them, the person that actually that actually pulled the trigger, I
- 8:13think, now, don't quote me on this. When he come on here
- 8:15and tell his story, y'all, he gonna tell his story. But one
- 8:18of the individuals did no time. One of the individuals I think has gotten
- 8:24out and him and the other individual is still in prison. But y'all,
- 8:31it's just sad. Like I'm working with a family right now. Mister Roberto
- 8:37Dela Cruz, y'all, this man is seventy years old, and he has
- 8:45a document from his judge that was the judge in the case, and he
- 8:52said how they found this man guilty. And we are definitely trying to bring
- 8:58awareness to his case. I am going to have his daughters and his sister
- 9:05on my podcast over on the WBNN this Wednesday night, So I definitely want
- 9:11y'all to tune in, because this man is seventy years old, y'all.
- 9:15He's been incarcerated for twenty six years, wrongfully incarcerated for twenty six years.
- 9:20He had an alibi because he is a legal immigrant and he was working under
- 9:26someone else's name. These people refuse to acknowledge that, and they are holding
- 9:31a innocent man in prison over twenty six years, and we are he filed
- 9:39eleven oh seven, he's done all that. Come to find out that the
- 9:43eleven oh seven that he filed set in a office for eleven years. And
- 9:50they say that it was a mix up in communication. The reason why I
- 9:56didn't get processed. Well, he was among nine, nine hundred and ninety
- 10:01nine other individuals that had to go through the same thing. But what did
- 10:05they do about it? Still to this day, we don't know what they
- 10:07did about it. But y'all, that's what they do in the state of
- 10:09Texas. These people give you these outlandish cases. They give you these outlandish
- 10:16charges, these outlandish time that you gonna be in prison, and yet you
- 10:33I don't know what's going on. But my guess was trying to call me,
- 10:37calling from the prison, and y'all know, I don't it for some
- 10:41reason, it wouldn't allow me to accept the free call. See they called
- 10:46free, but it would not allow me to accept the free call. It
- 10:48hung up. So maybe he'll call back. I don't know. But anyway,
- 10:54this man is seventy years old. He did not commit the crime.
- 11:01Evidence, I mean, they have a tape of him at work, you
- 11:07know, But they refused to accept this in as evidence. Not only that
- 11:15they had acts for a ballistics they were gonna pay for a a expert with
- 11:28an expert witness to test some things. They would not allow them to have
- 11:31expert witnesses. They used their own expert witness, which said that they couldn't
- 11:37be sure that what I mean, it was just it was just crazy.
- 11:41It was It's just a crazy situation, just a crazy situation, like I
- 11:48I just don't understand, I truly don't. And then they say that the
- 11:54the guy that actually did the killing mit suis side and they wanted to get
- 12:03the gun tested that he committed suicide with, and they said that they couldn't
- 12:09be one hundred percent sure that that was the gun. But they're charging this
- 12:13man with murder off of what somebody said and not what the evidence say.
- 12:20Because if you look at all the evidence, and it don't take no experts
- 12:24to look at this stuff, because I'm not no legal analysts. I'm not
- 12:28no no, no, no lawyer, I'm not no nothing to do with
- 12:33nothing legal, but just reading all and just understand all and just getting the
- 12:39graps of what's going on. I mean, It does not take a rocket
- 12:43scientist to understand a lot of the stuff that these people are doing, and
- 12:50it takes people like Cornell and other people that do legal work to tell you
- 13:05about what's going on. So again, y'all, I don't know why the
- 13:11people intenses won't speak up up and say something like, I'm trying to rally
- 13:16people together, y'all, I'm not stopping. I don't know who they think
- 13:18they're dealing with, but they got the right one because I ain't stopping and
- 13:22I'm in this, and I'm gonna be reaching out to different people that I
- 13:26know will rally with me, and we're gonna do this because it don't make
- 13:31no sense. Like I've heard this this seventy year old man cry twice twice.
- 13:37I've talked to him on the phone and he's cried twice because he's wrongfully
- 13:45incarcerated. Now he's not the only person. Now, there's thousands of people
- 13:48that are inside of TDCJ. They have been wrongfully and overly incarcerated. They've
- 13:56exaggerated these individuals cases. But now we start to find out why. We're
- 14:01starting to find out why they're doing that. Because I'm telling you, if
- 14:05you knew why a lot of this stuff is going on. It's all about
- 14:09money. Follow the money trail. Just like the person that's over the maintenance.
- 14:13Yeah, I'm about to expose his his little get up over there too.
- 14:16I'm about to expose it. So y'all about to be reading about that.
- 14:18I'm about to expose how he how they give them a stifling every month
- 14:24to handle different emergencies and different stuff, and how he got connections with the
- 14:30person that works at the facility where they go and buy these equipment, and
- 14:37how at the end of the life of the equipment that they use, they
- 14:39supposed to discard it, but instead of them discarding it, they take it
- 14:43out the back door and they take it home with them. Yeah, a
- 14:46lot of that going on in your prison system. So a lot of this
- 14:50stuff that they writing off and a lot of stuff that they getting money for,
- 14:52y'all. I'm telling you, it's about money. A lot of this
- 14:56stuff is about money. They don't want to let these prisoners go because they
- 15:00are running industries. They are running billion dollar companies off of these people that
- 15:05are in this prison system. And these people are getting not a dime off
- 15:11of because they pay their prison is nothing. They getting plenty, They making
- 15:18millions of dollars off of them. Look up what kind of companies they have
- 15:22in TDCJ. Look up what kind of companies. Just look up your state,
- 15:26whatever state you and go in your state and look at what kind of
- 15:31companies are ran by the prison in your state, and you'll see. Y'all
- 15:35can jump off, y'all can run, y'all can hide, but we're not
- 15:39gonna We're not gonna be able to hide from the truth. The truth is
- 15:43gonna continue to be exposed, whether y'all want to hear it or not.
- 15:48The truth is the truth, and it will make you free. It ain't
- 15:50gonna set you free, it'll make you free. So if you want to
- 15:54be made free, huh, hear the truth, and you're gonna hear the
- 15:58truth because I'm gonna keep now the state of Texas need to be ashamed of
- 16:03theirself. But I got brother I got brother Partnell along here tonight, y'all,
- 16:07and he's gonna be on here, touching on a little bit of stuff,
- 16:11bringing some light to some of the stuff that I've been just raveling on
- 16:15about. Because he know, he know all to get up. He know
- 16:18when somebody know did thirty over thirty years inside of a facility. They know
- 16:26what's going on. And he's not the only person I'm talking about, y'all.
- 16:30Every day I'm coming, I'm coming across people that's been in the prison
- 16:33system twenty five plus years, y'all, twenty five plus years I'm talking about.
- 16:37I even got somebody somebody say, I think that man says he this
- 16:44man been locked up thirty five years. I want to say. Somebody said
- 16:47something about somebody been locked up forty years. Y'all. Come on, now,
- 16:51that's just just too much. And then you've given them, you're giving
- 16:53them a hundred, one hundred and fifty years, one hundred and seventy years,
- 16:57and then they got to do they have to do half of that before
- 17:00you can even talk about giving them parole. Come on, y'all, what
- 17:07what what life does these people? What what life they gonna have? And
- 17:11we ain't gonna even talk about the ones that y'all know falsely put in prison,
- 17:15the ones that y'all know locked up because of a diet, y'all locked
- 17:18up because he says, she say, y'all, gonta locked up because your
- 17:22officers non planet of a then y'all know, locked up because the judge say
- 17:27he didn't like this, and he told you to come back with this,
- 17:30and you know, yeah, all kind of stuff. Y'all known this.
- 17:33We can go own and own about the corruption in the state of Texas.
- 17:37But y'all, what we're gonna do about it? How are we gonna get
- 17:40people to recognize what is going on in the judicial system, and how these
- 17:45people are covering it up, and how the news media won't cover it,
- 17:49and and how everybody keep running from it. Y'all. I need I need
- 17:55some ideas. If you're tuned in and you're hearing me, and if you
- 18:00can catching this as a replay, yeah, we need to. We need
- 18:03some ideas on how we can bring shed some light on Texas. I mean
- 18:08we need we need the spotlight on them. I'm talking about the flashing lights
- 18:14like when you go to Hollywood and you see the lights people. We need
- 18:15them kind of lights on Texas. I need our eyes on taxes. So
- 18:21where y'all at to help me? Okay, connorw I'm gonna move on that
- 18:25the way because I'm gonna keep on go ahead, h what we call the
- 19:04prison so we can win lot of thaks k he was a clown. He
- 19:22did not commit the clown still the mangle. Alright, But even what I
- 19:41see things you say rather than the train, I warn't only people to say
- 19:48that they can't you know, people what our sister? Well, how I'm
- 20:19not? And then how is it that they keep allowing this and they keep
- 20:25keeping the can down the road and they keeping allowing this to happen? Okay?
- 20:29So for example, okay, prisoners keep coming up dead. How do
- 20:34they keep allowing folks to keep dying on their watch? And nobody is making
- 20:38a fuss about it. Nobody is making a big deal about the drugs that's
- 20:41within the prison system, the suicide rate that's was in the prison system,
- 20:45all of these issues that's in the prison. And then when you bring it
- 20:48to somebody's attention, So who is when you bring it to their attention,
- 20:52who's holding these people accountable? Who's holding the people accounting when you when you
- 20:56report a grievances when you make THEEF, they tell you the fire grievanses.
- 21:00Okay, the grievances are file. Okay, Who's making sure that the person
- 21:03that is in charge of the grimaces is doing what they're supposed to do,
- 21:07because I've had your unbuzzman send me back a live tell me that he's done
- 21:12something, and I've talked to just like with the Senate. See, we
- 21:15can we can. We can go down the list of things that I've done
- 21:18and how I've caught these people in life, and how I caught them going
- 21:23back on the things that they say they're supposed to do. Okay, they
- 21:26got these these these things in in in in order and and that they're supposed
- 21:30to be doing, but they're not doing it. So how do you explain
- 21:33a G two getting stabbed to death by G four That they're not even supposed
- 21:40to be in the same They're not supposed to be in the same facility,
- 21:42they're not supposed to be in the same area. So how do you explain
- 21:45that? How can that be explained? I don't care about the the understaff
- 21:51and the overcrowdedess. It that's that's that's not the inmate's fault. That that
- 21:56that that goes back to the warden and who's over the water. It is
- 22:00the warden's job to make sure that that business ran. It is his job
- 22:04to make sure that staff. Is his job to make sure that all those
- 22:07that everybody within that prison is doing their job. As the warden, that
- 22:11is his job to make sure that everybody under him is doing their job.
- 22:18H m hm h m. So when you complain and you ask them to
- 22:48run the tapes back, I've asked for them to run the tapes back and
- 22:52to see things for themselves. I've asked for this. I just like i'm
- 22:56I'm I'm about to write another letter and it's and and talk about the death
- 23:00that has happened over in mother receive a phone call today another inmate found dead.
- 23:11They ate would not allow the MLNCES, would not take the body because
- 23:15they said the band had started turning blue. Why because if offer had been
- 23:18doing their job, if they had been doing patrols, if they had been
- 23:22doing security chicks, if they had have been doing their job, they would
- 23:23have found it. Because if the man don't turn blue, if he's starting
- 23:27to rigamart, that mean that man had been back there for hours. I
- 23:30mean he been there for hours. So when was the last time that you
- 23:34did your job? When was the last time that you patrolled? When was
- 23:37the last time that you did this? And this is not the first case.
- 23:40This is not the first incident. But then you report it, you
- 23:42don't hear nothing back. I reported I have. If people are following me,
- 23:47they can go over to the Free Texas campaign blog. They can look
- 23:49at these things on the blog. They can see stores of the food,
- 23:55they can see stores of what has been going on over the last three to
- 23:59four month, as far as the suicides, as far as the K two
- 24:03deaths, and a lot of things. But yet have we heard about these
- 24:07things in the public. No, you contact the news media. I've contacted
- 24:11ka ks at twelve. I've contacted different media within that area, and nobody
- 24:18will respond. Nobody will talk about the story. Nobody would bring it to
- 24:22light. I've contacted different people. I've contacted Congressman called O Sherman, I've
- 24:29contacted pumps Woman Sheila Jackson Lee, I've contacted Jacks Mincockett, Monica de la
- 24:37Cruz, Ron Reynolds, I've I've contacted every last one of them. I
- 24:47have a case in in the with the Office of Inspector General. I'm about
- 24:51to write another letter tonight, but this is what's going on, and they
- 24:56keep telling they keep kicking the thinking about to down the road. You can't
- 25:02kick get it up front of the rug. I mean the rug is it's
- 25:04the rug is not flat no more. The rug is becoming a hill because
- 25:08it's it's mounted with everything that you keep putting up under it. So what
- 25:14are you gonna handle the issues that you keep putting under the rug? Yeah?
- 25:26Okay, uh m hm thay. And because now he's too busily worrying
- 26:11about Donald Trump in the in the border. He down there walking up,
- 26:14rolling around in his wheelchair with Donald Trump. He down there with Donald Trump.
- 26:19He ken't talking about and he not worrying about what's going on in this
- 26:23prison system. You friends with Donald Trump, You hanging with Donald Trump,
- 26:26You're a racist just like him. So he don't care nothing about what's going
- 26:30on within TDCJ in the prison system. Because guess what, you somebody that
- 26:33he don't care for, you in the in the Hispanics, or somebody that
- 26:37he don't care for. He trying to keep the Hispanics out, and he
- 26:41want to keep you right there where you at. So guess what he walked
- 26:45he rolling around down there on the border with Trump. That's what he doing.
- 26:52It was on the news. That's what he's doing. He's not thinking
- 26:53about doing nothing but holding up on vetot and bills that would help set some
- 27:00of these people free. He got the power to do a lot, but
- 27:02he won't. It's been proven. We talk about corruption. He's head of
- 27:07the correct him, your your your your, your attorney general, and your
- 27:15lieutenant governor. All of them corrupt. They app they are that they walk
- 27:22that they talk about in these and when they talk about the corruption, they
- 27:27are the three that they talk about, and they call them the gop app
- 27:33h Abbots, Patrick and Paxton. Those are the three and they're doing just
- 27:41what they're doing. They are corrupt. They're doing what they've been doing for
- 27:44the last find to be four to five decades, because it's goin to go
- 27:48into another ten years that they've been doing this. H M. So,
- 28:18how do how do we get a federal drudge. We can't even get your
- 28:22low. We can't even get your your state, your your your state representatives
- 28:26involved. We we can't get to state representative. I've wrote several levels to
- 28:30state representatives and everything always come back. They don't have sufficient ever evidence,
- 28:37but they evidently not pulling on tapes. They don't want the body cams in
- 28:41the prison because they too much would be exposed because there was a law there
- 28:45was there was a representative car Sherman had put it on and wanted it on
- 28:51the thing where they will have all the officers would have to wear body cams.
- 28:56Well, you're governor, ve told it. It got knocked down because
- 29:00they don't want people to know what's going on inside of the prison because they
- 29:04were exposed too much. And they will put this that the officers don't want
- 29:08people to see what they own. Okay, but wicked police for me,
- 29:32so we can put that uh nation would show that the yah multiple class actions.
- 29:57Now they would have right, they can they can film actually just thinking
- 30:11about that yourself. Thank yeah, and how do you and how did they
- 30:27know about knowing that? Okay? And they have to just take coptation the
- 30:45game. It's just take work back and that need today. I see I've
- 31:00had Sette saying that she received backlash for speaking out and now her phone is
- 31:07being restricted. She she has a loved one that's incarcerated in another state.
- 31:15But because she's doing what I'm doing, speaking out and being a voice for
- 31:18those that are incarcerated, she is received backlash. So a lot of these
- 31:22people are worrying about backlash. They they're worrying about their their loved ones receiving
- 31:27backlash inside of the prison system. So a lot of these people are not
- 31:32speaking out. Well, what is your suggestion for that? And and how
- 31:36do we remedy the backlash? Because that's it's happening a lot. I've been
- 31:41witness see that. Every time I make a complaint, every time I raised
- 31:47my voice, somebody from that prison system will let me know what it's taking
- 31:52place, what is going on, what is happening, what is happening,
- 31:56how they did them or what else? So, how how do we remedy
- 31:59that? How can we get people to to to bring that to life?
- 32:05How do we bring up inside of tdc J. Because they say that that
- 32:09it's not supposed to be no backlash, but yet I hear I even hear
- 32:15the inmates talk about the backlash. Yeah okay, oh mhm, shout from
- 32:58because yea, they wasn't making shoes to get the plan. They wouldn't well
- 33:19come the case action. They get back to the bottom the roll board,
- 33:31keep to hand down the road, because about we'll come together. Support man,
- 33:45you can take to the whole one everybody else because about something? So
- 33:54what Wow, well we working, were working it. It's just so much
- 34:15and it just it just breaks my heart that all these people are wrongfully overly
- 34:20incarcerated. But yet the people that are putting these people in prison, they're
- 34:24going on with their daily lives. They're they're able to enjoy their lives.
- 34:28They're able to see their loved ones, they able to make milestones, there,
- 34:30able to create memories. Yet you have people, individuals that have lost
- 34:37their lives behind prison walls, that shouldn't even been in prison. And then
- 34:42you have individuals that have been dramatized from being in prison. Because I hear
- 34:49these stories of these youths, they they they've had to deal with stuff that
- 34:52they didn't never had to experience before. Some of them, this was they
- 34:57first they were they was their first case. So the trauma that these people
- 35:01have experienced, and then not being not having the proper food, not having
- 35:08the proper medical care, not having the proper mental health services, just different
- 35:15stuff. But then they they I just don't get it. I don't get
- 35:22it. I don't I don't understand how the parole board can constantly give setouts
- 35:29and then not give a remedy, not give a a a action plan.
- 35:35If you're gonna set me off five years, then give me an action plan
- 35:38to work on so that when I come up again in five years, we
- 35:44don't have to go through this again. Then I can get parole. Then
- 35:46you won't have to keep giving setouts, Then the prison won't have to be
- 35:50overflowing, and then you won't have to keep getting these reports of people losing
- 35:54their lives. I mean, it's it's sad, and and and it's sad
- 36:00that you know, the people in Texas are not speaking up, not even
- 36:07in Texas. But it's like I care more about what's going on in that
- 36:09prison system than the people in Texas. And it's sad. I don't know
- 36:15how they can allow their family members to be incarcerated, wrongfully incarcerated because of
- 36:22a black mark a dot, and fabricated evidence, and and people getting on
- 36:29the stand in line, and you going by hearsay instead of going by the
- 36:31evidence when the evidence will will prove that these people are innocent. Jury haamination
- 36:42and and and and given all white jeurys, How you gonna give me an
- 36:46all white jeury when I'm black or Hispanic. That's not a jury of my
- 36:52peers that's not a jury of my peers. A jury of my peers is
- 36:57someone that looked like me. I'm black. And then not only am I
- 37:00black, I'm a woman. So if you're gonna give me a jury of
- 37:02my peers, and you need to give me some black women. So I'm
- 37:08And that's just that's just what, just a tid bit of what has been
- 37:14going on within these prison system and not just in in in Texas that it's
- 37:17going on in Colorado, it's going on in California. It's going on in
- 37:22different places, and it's sad, but they can. I just, man,
- 37:31I don't get it. I just don't get it. And then we
- 37:36talk about the amount of money that come through this prison system. This is
- 37:40a trillion dollar industry, y'all. It used to be a billion dollar dollar
- 37:45industry. Now it's a trillion dollar industry. Look at all of the different
- 37:52companies talking about brand names. We're talking about brand names, y'all, brand
- 38:00names, brand names. You're talking about Starbucks, You're talking about Walmart,
- 38:07We're talking about Victoria's Secret, We're talking about the mattress companies. These are
- 38:12people that are making money through these different companies within the prison systems, not
- 38:19just in Texas but all over y'all. And they're getting ready to build thirty
- 38:23one more prison systems within the United States. One of the largest ones is
- 38:29gonna be in Alabama. It's gonna be a billion dollar industry, billion gonna
- 38:37be a billion It's gonna cost them two billion dollars to build, if I'm
- 38:42not mistaken. And then they wanted to build two facilities. And then you're
- 38:45talking about they got a company out of India that's gonna be building the facility.
- 38:51And then they talking about it's gonna be ran by robots. And then
- 38:55twenty twenty nine, Georgia get ready because they coming to build a billion dollar
- 39:01oney already been approved. Y'all, these things already proved. How many of
- 39:06y'all knew this, How many of y'all knew that thirty one knew prison system
- 39:10was getting ready to be brought up. But how many schools are their building,
- 39:17how many community centers are they building, how many homeless shelters are they
- 39:23building? How are they they trying to remedy some of theseulf But they can
- 39:29bring all these immigrants there and give our millions and meegings and means of meetings
- 39:31and too when you got people already over here starting to look at all the
- 39:37tent cities we got in the different cities, all of the tent villses and
- 39:42now the campgrounds where people are living in tents. But we can afford to
- 39:47send billions and biggins of dollars to other people out of the country when we're
- 39:53struggling here ourselves. But yet we can overly and roam incarce rate. Man,
- 40:01these people know what they're doing, y'all. It's time flavery to truly
- 40:07end. It's time for them to get rid of the thirteenth Amendment. If
- 40:10y'all gonna, if you make them work, if you're gonna, if you
- 40:14force labor on them like they've been paying them, pay them what you pay
- 40:16the people that really go and work these jobs. Because we know what y'all
- 40:20did, just like y'all did in Alabama. If Texas could do what they
- 40:22did in Alabama, they would do it. But they coming close. They
- 40:28come and close because from my understanding, they let the They got inmates that
- 40:35drive trucks that can go out and do deliveries. Hmm. They got CDLs
- 40:45and get paid absolutely nothing. Yeah, and then you man, I'm telling
- 40:52you it goes on and on. But I understand if you got a governor
- 40:57that's getting fifty five fifty five thousand dollars in camp hunt campaign funds or whatever
- 41:04they're getting in kickbacks or whatever he getting, it's been documented. Trust me.
- 41:08Doctor Candice Matthews has owned it. We saw the document, so trust
- 41:15and believe it's gonna be a lot of exposure because she loved exposing corruption in
- 41:19the state of Texas. He's not the only person, but he's not the
- 41:28only person that's getting money. He's not the only person that's getting kicked back.
- 41:30And I feel like that is a complete that's that's a conflict of interest.
- 41:35How can he be the governor of the state of Texas and he getting
- 41:39money fifty five thousand dollars. Man, I took a stream shot of it,
- 41:44So that ain't nothing that nobody told me, ain't something that ate up,
- 41:47ain't no fake news. See Fox and all the other city See we
- 41:51don't got the whole get up and all that on how they built a lot
- 41:53of stuff and how they don't stole a lot of stuff. Just like the
- 41:57NFL halftime show. When did that come about? It didn't come about until
- 42:02after Living Color. Until after Living Color, did they they have time show?
- 42:08Yeah, come on, y'all. Yah, they steal everything from us
- 42:13and then they make us. Look, yeah, y'all gotta go back,
- 42:16and y'all got to check out what what they did. They built Fox,
- 42:21They built the Fox Network up to be a black network. And then what
- 42:28they do, come with the fake news, They come with the lies,
- 42:30they come with the propaganda, they come with all that. But then everything
- 42:36over their own Fox used to be black. They did that why because they
- 42:38wanted to get They wanted to grab us in, to bring us in.
- 42:43And then they do what. They start with the propaganda, they start with
- 42:45the lies, they start with the untruth. Y'all. I'm telling y'all,
- 42:50I'm sick of these people. I'm sick of these people. Y'all got to
- 42:53stop. Let me come on here, because I'm telling you every time I
- 42:57come on this, this, this this is my mission. I'm on this
- 43:00if it ain't about every lac Chasse a dream book tour. Huh over in
- 43:09wrong in cars already, y'all. That's that's and the Crew podcast. Those
- 43:15are my three missions. Huh, those are my three missions for twenty twenty
- 43:20four, God is to expose some of this corruption that's going on in the
- 43:24state of Texas in judicial system. I'm telling you it makes no sense.
- 43:32And your husband get paid nineteen dollars a month, nineteen dollars a month,
- 43:37like really, and he probably going a job that if he was in the
- 43:39rear the world, he probably would be making. He probably it would be
- 43:46making eighteen hundred a nineteen thousand a month something like that. Man, please,
- 43:59probably making nice team hundred a month. Twenty two. Man, please,
- 44:05they killing me with that nineteen But what can you do with that?
- 44:09And then they dropping on man and and sharing with me and comment and and
- 44:35and make sure that we have content. But I try to make sure that
- 44:37if if we are supposed to be on that I come on and make sure
- 44:45that someone is own. So again, y'all, let's keep Natalie in prayer.
- 44:49I don't know what's going on. We are some believers over here.
- 44:52We pray, and we just want to make sure that we keep her lifted
- 44:58in prayer. Tomorrow. Who would be on tomorrow? Let me see who's
- 45:02on tomorrow? Yeah, I know, of course I am doing. Chanette
- 45:07is on tomorrow. Yeah. Hold on it's March. I'm sorry. Yeah,
- 45:19Channette is on tomorrow, y'all. I was looking at the wrong calendar.
- 45:22But she's still on tomorrow, So I'm definitely gonna be tuned in tomorrow
- 45:28to her show. Like I said, she's gonna have I think she said
- 45:30that guy got oh my god, it's gonna be four hundred and I met
- 45:36someone yesterday who will sentenced to life with four hundred and eighty years. Oh
- 45:40my god. And then she's finna have somebody on her show too that has
- 45:51a lot of time as well. So y'all try to tune in tomorrow and
- 45:58see what is going on on her show. Well, Cornell is calling back.
- 46:02Let's see if he has something he wanted to before we close out.
- 46:08Let's see if you want to say something before we close out. One thank
- 46:13you for using secure us. They start the conversation. Now, Well,
- 46:16you come back just in time because we was getting ready to close out the
- 46:20show. So in closing, would you like to share anything as we close?
- 46:29Thank you people from you people, people whoever wanted I wanted to commit.
- 46:52Uh, so let we have to thank you roam when you have m
- 47:01okay, well, listen your name and the hope. O ye you know,
- 47:16like you understanding, of course, we don't thank you for much flash,
- 47:30because we thank you well, thank you for sapping by and being a
- 47:37voice for those that are behind the walls of t d c J. Y'all.
- 47:44Every Monday I try to bring somebody on from within t d c J.
- 47:50They may be in different facilities, but every Monday I try to bring
- 47:52somebody on. I dedicate Mondays to them. From a twelve noon till about
- 47:59three of clock, I'm interviewing individuals that want to come on and share their
- 48:02story. Yes, some of them are innocent, some of them did what
- 48:07they did, but the amount time that they've given them in process and getting
- 48:16the conviction, those are the things that we're concerned about. You know,
- 48:22Yeah, they may have done the time, but they may have done the
- 48:24crime, but does the time fit the crime. That's what we need.
- 48:30That's what we're looking at, because you know, people make mistakes. You
- 48:37you, every last one of us have made a mistakes. And there are
- 48:40some people that are free that need to be incarcerated, but yet they are
- 48:45free. But we have thousands of thousands of individuals that have been wrongfully and
- 48:52overly incarcerated. The time for the State of Texas to be held accountable for
- 48:58that that they have done. Too many years have gone by, and there's
- 49:01too many people well that have been wrongfully incarcerated, and then they keep kicking
- 49:07the can down the road and keep giving them setouts. Y'all, it's time
- 49:10for change, and it's time for this judicial system. It's time to come
- 49:15up to the twenty first century. We are no longer in nineteen fifty two.
- 49:20It's time to come to twenty twenty four because this world has evolved and
- 49:25it's time for you to recognize that. No longer are we going to sit
- 49:30and be quiet. Right. I am the change that I desired to see
- 49:35in this world. I want you to be that change too. So if
- 49:37there's something that tonight, I want you all to definitely join me, join
- 49:44me back here on tomorrow as I will be bringing y'all some amazing queens as
- 49:50I celebrate Women's History Month. And then tomorrow night back here at eight pm,
- 49:54you would have Shannette. She's gonna be on Chanette Johnson, let's talk
- 50:00about it. She will be on tomorrow night with her special guests. So
- 50:06y'all please share this out in your circle of influence, and if you would
- 50:13like to join me and support the Free Texas campaign, just reach out to
- 50:16me and see how we can connect, how we can work together. If
- 50:21you are in the state of Texas and you would like to partner with me,
- 50:24you would like to work with me, please reach out because I do
- 50:28need some voices. I need some people that will be boots on the ground,
- 50:31as Cornell would say, in the state of Texas for me when I
- 50:38can't be there. I do plan on getting there soon. I will be
- 50:43there in May for our event. And if I can get there earlier,
- 50:46well, I can make some noise while I'm down there. Y'all. Best
- 50:50believe I will be trying to do that, because I don't mind knocking on
- 50:53doors and I don't mind allowing my voice to speak, because I've been quiet
- 50:58for too long, and God gave me this forice. He gave me another
- 51:01chance, so he woke me up this morning, y'all, so I'm on
- 51:06it. I appreciate you, guys, and y'all please share this out of
- 51:09your circle of influence. If you know somebody that is incarcerated in the state
- 51:17of Texas, please share it. With their family and get their family's attention
- 51:23and get them connected with me. Y'all. Y'all. Okay, well,
- 51:27I'm out of here, y'all. I love y'all, I appreciate y'all,
