- 2:23Speaker 1: happened seventeen times in the history of Meat Eater trivia,
- 2:26Speaker 1: which is eighteen percent of all games. Ten of those
- 2:30Speaker 1: seventeen near perfect games were done by Brody. Brody, is
- 2:34Speaker 1: there one that sticks out in your mind as a
- 2:36Speaker 1: figure It's happened ten times? Now?
- 2:40Speaker 3: Not really, man, No, I mean, did I lose to anyone?
- 2:45Speaker 4: Who?
- 2:47Speaker 5: Are those winning nines? Are those? Well?
- 2:50Speaker 1: I think two of them were tiebreaker nines that happened.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Imagine a perfect game then that would be irritating.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Okay, I think if I asked that question Randall, he'd
- 2:59Speaker 1: know the exact act question that he got wrong. Yeah.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Now here's our Infrequently Asked Question segment. If you have
- 3:10Speaker 1: a trivia related question for our crew, send it to
- 3:13Speaker 1: Trivia at the Meat Eater dot com with the subject
- 3:15Speaker 1: line I f a Q. Eric Moore wants to know
- 3:19Speaker 1: who does Steve most like to beat at trivia? Same
- 3:22Speaker 1: question for Randall, Yanni callan Brody. Now, we don't have
- 3:25Speaker 1: Steve here to answer, but I feel like we can
- 3:27Speaker 1: answer for him. I think it would be Brodie. Okay,
- 3:30Speaker 1: they're in agreement. Steve most likes to be.
- 3:33Speaker 5: Steve talk about never heard of him?
- 3:36Speaker 1: Now, Brody, who do you enjoy beating most at trivia?
- 3:39Speaker 5: Everyone?
- 3:39Speaker 1: Okay, and come on, give us a better answer than that.
- 3:44Speaker 5: Everyone.
- 3:44Speaker 1: He likes to beat you all equally when it comes
- 3:47Speaker 1: to trivia, Yanni, who do you who do you get
- 3:49Speaker 1: the most pleasure out of winning against in trivia?
- 3:54Speaker 6: Take no pleasure? Okay, I take a little pleasure.
- 4:00Speaker 5: Terrible answers?
- 4:01Speaker 6: Knowing, I guess I'll give us a good answer.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Who do you like beating at trivia?
- 4:05Speaker 6: I think great against anybody only time.
- 4:11Speaker 7: Only time I want to win is when I see
- 4:16Speaker 7: like Steve getting all riled up and super like obsessive.
- 4:21Speaker 7: Then it's like something something needs to happen and it
- 4:25Speaker 7: can't be winning.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Randall, can you give us a satisfying answer? Who do
- 4:29Speaker 1: you like to beat? Immediate to trivia? Uh?
- 4:32Speaker 8: I don't know that there's a person I enjoy beating.
- 4:35Speaker 8: I just love winning. So I just I love winning
- 4:39Speaker 8: and I hate losing to Brody.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Yeah, they all said, Chris, Okay, very good. There's some
- 4:46Speaker 1: housekeeping to get to. In a previous game of trivia,
- 4:49Speaker 1: Yanni brought up a horror movie that he watched called Triangle.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Phil disagreed, saying it wasn't a horror movie at all. Well,
- 4:56Speaker 1: Phil has an update for us on this front.
- 4:58Speaker 9: Take it away, Phil, Yeah, well, if you watch the
- 5:00Speaker 9: YouTube version, I kind of slipped it in there if
- 5:03Speaker 9: you're an audio only listener. Yeah, Jans was talking about
- 5:05Speaker 9: a movie. He's thinking it his channel flipping somehow. That's
- 5:08Speaker 9: the thing people still do in twenty twenty four, I guess.
- 5:11Speaker 5: And he's in the hotel room.
- 5:13Speaker 6: Okay, yeah, yeah, that's.
- 5:14Speaker 1: The best place to do it these days.
- 5:15Speaker 9: And he said, I was watching a movie called Triangle
- 5:18Speaker 9: I think came up and people were getting killed on
- 5:20Speaker 9: a boat. And then I very smugly butted in with
- 5:23Speaker 9: the tone of like, oh, Yannis, you and a innocent adult.
- 5:27Speaker 9: It's that movie's called the Triangle of Sadness and it's
- 5:30Speaker 9: not a horror movie. Turns out there's a there's another
- 5:34Speaker 9: movie with Triangle in the title where people are killed
- 5:36Speaker 9: on a boat. And yeah, and you, honest was right.
- 5:38Speaker 9: There's a movie called Triangles. I just want to apologize
- 5:40Speaker 9: to Giannis for acting.
- 5:44Speaker 1: So there's the movie Triangle and the movie Triangle of Sadness.
- 5:47Speaker 1: It was Phil's best YouTube added ever. He put both
- 5:50Speaker 1: movie posters side by side, and both of them are
- 5:53Speaker 1: set on a boat, which.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Is nicely done.
- 5:55Speaker 6: Phil, I can tell you and my I think my
- 5:59Speaker 6: late years at forty five, now, those kind of movies
- 6:03Speaker 6: don't interest me one bit.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Did they ever interest you?
- 6:07Speaker 6: I mean, yeah, there was a Yeah, there's a period. Yeah,
- 6:09Speaker 6: I don't know. It's like it's fun to get scared
- 6:11Speaker 6: and fun to get see people get messed up or something.
- 6:15Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Not anymore. He takes no pleasure in winning meat Eater
- 6:18Speaker 1: trivia or watching people get killed on TV.
- 6:23Speaker 7: So what was it? A slasher movie? Like lots of
- 6:26Speaker 7: blood and gore and stuff like that.
- 6:28Speaker 6: I only watch it for thirty seconds and then I
- 6:31Speaker 6: was I was on, you know. But there was just
- 6:34Speaker 6: a dude in wearing like a cloth mask, very small
- 6:37Speaker 6: holes cut out of it, which I'm like, he can't
- 6:40Speaker 6: be running around with that thing on. And that brought it.
- 6:44Speaker 6: I brought it.
- 6:44Speaker 7: I brought it up.
- 6:45Speaker 6: It was interesting because he had an over and over
- 6:48Speaker 6: under and when he fired once, then you heard the.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Sound racking a shotgun.
- 6:57Speaker 6: Before he shot again.
- 6:58Speaker 1: It's like in The Walking Dead never have to reload
- 7:01Speaker 1: their shotguns ever. They can. They can like shoot fifty
- 7:04Speaker 1: straight shells and uh yeah, never see him reload.
- 7:07Speaker 10: That would be nice for duck hun work.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Well.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Now, the Shelby index for today's round is a four,
- 7:12Speaker 1: so our winner should get eight correct answers. And with
- 7:15Speaker 1: that we're onto the game of trivia. Play the drop, Phil.
- 7:20Speaker 11: Look, I need to know what I stand to win everything?
- 7:25Speaker 8: How's that?
- 7:26Speaker 7: Just?
- 7:27Speaker 2: Tend to win everything? Was that?
- 7:38Speaker 1: Max?
- 7:38Speaker 2: You didn't interrupt?
- 7:39Speaker 1: No, No, that was cal.
- 7:42Speaker 12: I didn't.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Okay. Question one, the topic is biology, and this is
- 7:49Speaker 1: multiple choice. Which of these animals does not have a banculum?
- 7:53Speaker 1: Is it black bear, raccoon, Golden retriever or Canada moose?
- 8:01Speaker 1: Which of these animals does not have a baculum? Black bear, raccoon,
- 8:07Speaker 1: Golden retriever, Canada moose, Kla, Janni, Seth and Brodie. You
- 8:13Speaker 1: pure confident, Randall as well? Three of those animals have
- 8:19Speaker 1: a vaculum. One does not.
- 8:21Speaker 7: I once squared off on a small game veterinarian.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Okay, look forward to mm hmm a.
- 8:30Speaker 5: Small game veterinarian.
- 8:32Speaker 7: Yes, and he was like, that's not what it's called.
- 8:35Speaker 1: What did he want to call it?
- 8:38Speaker 5: That only worked on squirrels and rabbits and ship like that.
- 8:43Speaker 7: I say small, uh you know, not small animal, not
- 8:48Speaker 7: large animal.
- 8:49Speaker 1: The world could use this one small game vettic.
- 8:52Speaker 2: Yeah, busy in the fall.
- 8:56Speaker 5: We always used to.
- 8:57Speaker 7: Say, and take a hell of a vet to bring
- 8:58Speaker 7: that one back on the shoot stuff.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Christine, are we ready go ahead and reveal your answers?
- 9:05Speaker 1: We have Max saying golden retriever, Christine saying.
- 9:09Speaker 10: Moves only one.
- 9:11Speaker 1: The rest of the moves they got it. The correct
- 9:14Speaker 1: answer is Canada moose. I'm sorry Max, so specific with.
- 9:19Speaker 5: What kind of moves?
- 9:20Speaker 1: Just said like throw you off a little all It
- 9:22Speaker 1: threw me off. So. A baculum is a penis bone.
- 9:26Speaker 1: They are found in most primates, rodents, hedgehogs, bears, dogs, walruses, seals, otters, weasels,
- 9:33Speaker 1: and bats. In two thousand and seven, a four and
- 9:35Speaker 1: a half foot fossilized vaculum from an extinct species of
- 9:39Speaker 1: walrus was sold for eight thousand dollars. The seller claimed
- 9:43Speaker 1: it was the largest in the world. Question two. The
- 9:46Speaker 1: topic is fishing. This is our listener question of the week,
- 9:49Speaker 1: which was won by Thomas.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Wilms were this great question.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Thomas is going to get a board game signed by
- 9:55Speaker 1: the crew if you want a chance to win our
- 9:57Speaker 1: listener question of the Week and send your question to
- 9:59Speaker 1: Trivia at the meadeater dot com. The topic is fishing.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Name two of the five states with the most registered
- 10:07Speaker 1: boats in twenty twenty two. Topic is fishing. Name two
- 10:15Speaker 1: of the five states with the most registered boats in
- 10:20Speaker 1: twenty twenty two. Max, do we have this one? Right?
- 10:30Speaker 10: I sure, hope so.
- 10:32Speaker 13: And it's so funny because I was trapping with Seth
- 10:36Speaker 13: a couple of weeks ago and he taught me what
- 10:40Speaker 13: that was.
- 10:41Speaker 8: M I should have Yeah, Okay, gave him the old
- 10:45Speaker 8: vaculum lesson.
- 10:47Speaker 12: Yeah, she showed We showed Max vaculums off of pine Martins, coyotes,
- 10:55Speaker 12: Pine Martin, box sock and raccoons. It's like smaller than
- 10:59Speaker 12: a toothpick.
- 11:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:00Speaker 1: People would pay a lot of money for a lesson
- 11:02Speaker 1: like that. Seth Man's just got it for free.
- 11:05Speaker 6: You show something.
- 11:07Speaker 8: We can show different vaculums.
- 11:10Speaker 5: Yeah, shadow box full of vaculums.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Again, you need to have two states on your whiteboard.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Name two of the five states with the most registered
- 11:20Speaker 1: boats in twenty twenty two. I feel like, you know.
- 11:23Speaker 8: Those big posters that have like different fish sort of
- 11:26Speaker 8: arranged by size in the Latin name. I think we could.
- 11:30Speaker 8: We could do a nice vaculum.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Yeah, but in the.
- 11:33Speaker 7: Store, from what I have seen, the badger takes the
- 11:39Speaker 7: cake as far as like a giant vaculum for the
- 11:43Speaker 7: size of the animal. Yes, Is that consistent with what
- 11:46Speaker 7: you have seen?
- 11:47Speaker 2: I haven't seen a badger one.
- 11:49Speaker 7: Oh. Yeah.
- 11:50Speaker 12: If Randall would let us come over there and trap
- 11:52Speaker 12: his property.
- 11:53Speaker 8: There's just there's not a fence that would keep neighboring
- 11:57Speaker 8: dogs away from your bait.
- 11:59Speaker 6: Check it every morning early.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Is everybody ready, go ahead and reveal your answers. We
- 12:06Speaker 1: have Max saying Minnesota and Florida, Christine saying Michigan and Florida. Corinne.
- 12:12Speaker 1: What do we got there? Kuranna in California, Florida and California.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Randall sang Florida, in California, cal sang Michigan, Minnesota, Yanni
- 12:24Speaker 1: saying Michigan, Minnesota, Seth saying Wisconsin, Minnesota, Brody saying Florida, California.
- 12:31Speaker 1: The five states are Florida, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, and California.
- 12:39Speaker 1: The room did pretty well there.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Ohio, nice, nice.
- 12:41Speaker 5: Nice, Yeah.
- 12:42Speaker 7: Ohio's top five population in the US, So that makes
- 12:47Speaker 7: sense and they're right on here.
- 12:49Speaker 1: According to Statista, there are one million registered boats in Florida,
- 12:55Speaker 1: eight hundred and twenty thousand in Minnesota, eight hundred and
- 12:58Speaker 1: nine thousand in Michigan, undred and fifty two thousand in Ohio,
- 13:02Speaker 1: and six hundred and twenty six thousand in California. Rounding
- 13:05Speaker 1: out the top ten are Wisconsin, Texas, New York, North Carolina,
- 13:09Speaker 1: and South Carolina. Question three, the topic is public Lands
- 13:15Speaker 1: Catmine National Park holds an annual competition that celebrates the
- 13:20Speaker 1: plumpness of these animals.
- 13:26Speaker 7: Of Yon.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Catmine National Park holds an annual competition that celebrates the
- 13:32Speaker 1: plumpness of these animals.
- 13:34Speaker 5: How cute?
- 13:35Speaker 10: How exact do you want it?
- 13:37Speaker 1: If you thought the answer was like a labrador, you'd
- 13:43Speaker 1: say black lab instead of labrador. That's the specificity I
- 13:47Speaker 1: would need you to go to.
- 13:48Speaker 5: Yeah, there's an argument ruin here.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Way Wow, Okay, that krinn is racking her brain.
- 14:00Speaker 10: I just can't think of the name of it.
- 14:02Speaker 8: This is from the sixth Meat Eater vertical Internet Culture
- 14:06Speaker 8: and memes.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Public Lands public Lands cat Buy National Park holds an
- 14:11Speaker 1: annual competition that celebrates the plumpness of these animals.
- 14:18Speaker 5: Boy, they get some fat ones too.
- 14:20Speaker 3: Tell you believe they call them chonky chonk Ofsaurus Brody.
- 14:27Speaker 1: I gather you don't like what this National park does.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Huh oh?
- 14:30Speaker 5: Why why do you get that impression?
- 14:34Speaker 1: I don't, Yeah, exactly, Okay, I.
- 14:38Speaker 5: Got a problem with it.
- 14:40Speaker 1: I kind of dot on you go ahead, cal floor
- 14:43Speaker 1: is yours? Why don't well, without giving anything away, why
- 14:45Speaker 1: don't you like?
- 14:45Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 14:45Speaker 7: I just think, like to our earlier conversation, the whole
- 14:49Speaker 7: garden the gate thing, this would be a good thing
- 14:52Speaker 7: to be proactive on where it's like, we don't need
- 14:55Speaker 7: the whole world coming up with backstoris and family story
- 15:00Speaker 7: and the anthropomorphizing of these animals, because it's going to
- 15:05Speaker 7: come around and be like, well, why the hell would
- 15:06Speaker 7: you ever want to shoot one of those?
- 15:09Speaker 1: Does everybody having?
- 15:09Speaker 7: It's a chonkasus.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Karin was listening very closely. Karin, did you figure out
- 15:15Speaker 1: the answer the second?
- 15:16Speaker 10: Your answer?
- 15:17Speaker 6: The answer is I just can't think of this one animal.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Oh okay, did you say you're going for funny answer?
- 15:22Speaker 6: No, I'm going for an answer that's wrong.
- 15:25Speaker 5: Okay, I'll go everybody ready diagram. Go ahead and reveal
- 15:29Speaker 5: your answers.
- 15:30Speaker 1: We have Max saying brown bear, Christine saying brown bear,
- 15:33Speaker 1: Karin saying ground squirrel, Randall saying brown bear. The rest
- 15:36Speaker 1: of the room said brown bear. They got it. The
- 15:39Speaker 1: correct answer is brown bears. The event was first held
- 15:43Speaker 1: in twenty fourteen, which was referred to as Fat Bear Tuesday.
- 15:47Speaker 1: It was so popular that the park decided to make
- 15:50Speaker 1: it an annual week long competition the following year. The
- 15:53Speaker 1: twenty twenty three winner was Grazer, a seven hundred pound
- 15:57Speaker 1: female who's eighteen years old. Her competition in the final
- 16:01Speaker 1: round was Chunk, who came eighty five thousand votes short
- 16:05Speaker 1: of beating Grazer, the record.
- 16:07Speaker 5: A record number.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Of ballots, more than one point four million, were cast
- 16:11Speaker 1: in the twenty twenty three Fat Bear Tournament.
- 16:15Speaker 7: What's that animal call?
- 16:16Speaker 10: That's like high altitude, like alpine.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Garmotar mix, Pica.
- 16:23Speaker 10: Pa, that's about pike.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Yeah, fat pika competition. You could start that correct.
- 16:30Speaker 7: Very very cute.
- 16:31Speaker 1: You gotta name them, like Cal said, create a backstory. Now, Cal,
- 16:35Speaker 1: I think this competition is fun. It's like celebrating the
- 16:37Speaker 1: bear and sake salmon, specifically showing how much weight they
- 16:41Speaker 1: can put on by by time they are about to.
- 16:45Speaker 7: Not argue the fun factor and it is cool, but
- 16:50Speaker 7: it just really hammers home, like the whole Park animal syndrome.
- 16:55Speaker 14: Sure, the disneyfication of yeah, And it's just like, I
- 16:59Speaker 14: don't know that the fun facts that are like real
- 17:03Speaker 14: facts about the bears and why they're putting on the
- 17:05Speaker 14: weight and the salmon and all that are hammering home
- 17:09Speaker 14: as much as the.
- 17:10Speaker 1: One point four million people voting. Maybe don't think of
- 17:13Speaker 1: all that stuff.
- 17:15Speaker 8: I would just like to point out that I wouldn't
- 17:17Speaker 8: ordinarily throw one of my competitors under the bus for
- 17:20Speaker 8: using her phone.
- 17:21Speaker 2: But krinn is Karns.
- 17:24Speaker 8: She's using the whiteboard that has shed its frame, and
- 17:27Speaker 8: she is currently shopping for replacement dry race whiteboards.
- 17:30Speaker 2: On Amazon.
- 17:32Speaker 5: Now Spencer, which.
- 17:33Speaker 2: I don't know if this is not ergonomic enough, but
- 17:35Speaker 2: she seems.
- 17:36Speaker 8: To be sufficiently displeased by her whiteboard that it's this
- 17:41Speaker 8: is the last straw.
- 17:43Speaker 1: You can shout for those white boards.
- 17:44Speaker 5: Brody's about to ask you would have accepted.
- 17:48Speaker 13: I think we'll take because that's what That's why I asked,
- 17:51Speaker 13: because I was going to put that.
- 17:52Speaker 1: I think we'll take grizzly. If you said grizzly at home,
- 17:54Speaker 1: no one in the room did.
- 17:55Speaker 6: I thought that, isn't it that all brown bears bears
- 18:01Speaker 6: a grizzlies? And I think that these that live in
- 18:03Speaker 6: this part are not.
- 18:05Speaker 1: It had gotten complicated in here if someone wrote down grizzly.
- 18:09Speaker 1: But if you're playing at home, you said grizzly, I
- 18:11Speaker 1: was hoping you question for the topic is conservation. This
- 18:16Speaker 1: next great question comes to us via Mike Scheffer. The
- 18:20Speaker 1: five largest man made lakes in the United States are
- 18:23Speaker 1: built on these two rivers. The five largest man made
- 18:30Speaker 1: lakes in the United States are built on these two rivers.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Corin are the whiteboards ordered? Okay, what happens soon?
- 18:44Speaker 2: It looks like we have some good options.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Though our whiteboards have broken down. They are on their
- 18:49Speaker 1: final legs. I think we're gonna have to get some
- 18:52Speaker 1: glue and duct tape out to make them last until
- 18:54Speaker 1: the new ones arrive, and then these will show up
- 18:57Speaker 1: in the auction House of Odities someday whenever that makes
- 19:00Speaker 1: its return, maybe in twenty twenty four, you can have
- 19:03Speaker 1: the actual whiteboards that our competitors use in the room.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Here's a question again, It's question four. Topic is conservation.
- 19:11Speaker 1: The five largest man made lakes in the United States
- 19:14Speaker 1: are built on these two rivers. Seth is confident. Seth,
- 19:19Speaker 1: you got this one right. I got one of them right, Okay,
- 19:23Speaker 1: one of them. One of them knows no half points
- 19:28Speaker 1: in trivia. Unless you're my wife. She will reward herself
- 19:31Speaker 1: half points. And I don't argue. But if you only
- 19:35Speaker 1: get one of these in the room, you just get
- 19:37Speaker 1: it wrong.
- 19:39Speaker 7: Man, I don't feel good.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Okay, two rivers. Ye to tell me the two rivers.
- 19:46Speaker 1: It's everybody ready. Brody, go ahead and reveal your answers.
- 19:53Speaker 1: We have Max saying Missouri, Columbia, Christine saying Yellowstone, Mississippi.
- 19:58Speaker 1: Carine without an answer, Randall sang Missouri Colorado. Cal sang Missouri, Mississippi.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Yanni saying Colorado, Missouri, Seth saying Missouri, Colorado, Brody saying Missouri, Colorado.
- 20:12Speaker 1: The two rivers are Colorado and Missouri. The largest man
- 20:18Speaker 1: made lake is Lake Mead on the Colorado River in
- 20:21Speaker 1: Arizona and Nevada, followed by Lake Powell on the Colorado
- 20:25Speaker 1: River in Arizona in Utah. The next three lakes are
- 20:28Speaker 1: located on the Missouri River. They are Lake Chicagawea in
- 20:31Speaker 1: North Dakota, Lake Owahe in North Dakota and South Dakota,
- 20:35Speaker 1: and Fort Peck in Montana.
- 20:38Speaker 10: Phil that's a half point for me. You know, if you.
- 20:41Speaker 1: Guys had to tell me the five biggest man made lakes,
- 20:45Speaker 1: how many of those do you think you would have gotten?
- 20:48Speaker 10: Chicago, Wahi Peck, everything on Missouri.
- 20:51Speaker 7: That would have been a good way for me to
- 20:53Speaker 7: think about that question instead of thinking.
- 20:54Speaker 3: I wonder if Powell or Mead or in danger of
- 20:58Speaker 3: losing their stat It says top two.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Mm shrinking probably stay in the top five though. Question five,
- 21:05Speaker 1: the topic is cooking This Argentinian green sauce, which is
- 21:10Speaker 1: often served with grilled meat, uses ingredients such as parsley, cilantro, oregano, garlic,
- 21:17Speaker 1: and olive oil. Brody knows this one, Max and Cal
- 21:22Speaker 1: and Corinne and Christine all look confident as well. That
- 21:26Speaker 1: leaves Seth and Yanni who have yet to pick up
- 21:28Speaker 1: their whiteboards. The topic is cooking this Argentinian green sauce,
- 21:33Speaker 1: which is often served with grilled meat, uses ingredients such
- 21:38Speaker 1: as parsley, cilantro, oregano, garlic, and olive oil.
- 21:43Speaker 3: It's an unpopular opinion product. But I've always felt like
- 21:46Speaker 3: this stuff is overrated.
- 21:48Speaker 1: I think you've made this before a little overrate. I
- 21:52Speaker 1: think it's underrated. Under it Okay, this would be called
- 21:57Speaker 1: meat eater first take YouTube. Boys can wear suits like
- 22:00Speaker 1: Steve likes and sit on opposite sides of the table
- 22:03Speaker 1: and debate each other. That's an observation Steve is made
- 22:07Speaker 1: when sports is on at the gym. He says that
- 22:09Speaker 1: these guys in suits sit on opposite sides of the
- 22:12Speaker 1: table and just debate each other all the time. He's
- 22:14Speaker 1: not wrong. It's Randall's favorite TV.
- 22:16Speaker 2: To watch Printing Money.
- 22:18Speaker 7: Yeah, exactly, laughing all the way to the bank.
- 22:21Speaker 1: This Argentinian green sauce, which is often served with grilled meat,
- 22:26Speaker 1: uses ingredients such as parsley, cilantro, oregano, garlic, and olive oil.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Cal Have you in fact cooked this for seth before?
- 22:35Speaker 7: It's a strong, strong possibility, although it's not like a
- 22:39Speaker 7: go to thing for me because of the oil.
- 22:42Speaker 6: What you got, Yanni, I'll tell you that it is present.
- 22:47Speaker 1: And you not know the answer. You know the answer,
- 22:50Speaker 1: you forgot you didn't know what about twenty seconds?
- 22:52Speaker 6: No, it took a second for me to uh huh
- 22:54Speaker 6: remember the name of it, but it's present in the
- 22:57Speaker 6: Meat Eater cookbook.
- 23:00Speaker 10: Now we're just giving away hands.
- 23:01Speaker 6: And it is the salt in there is wrong. The
- 23:08Speaker 6: salt in there is wrong. Really yeah, so uh I
- 23:11Speaker 6: love this, so keep going so you have to use
- 23:14Speaker 6: I can't remember now what it is, but it's like
- 23:16Speaker 6: a quarter if you're gonna make it.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Who should I file my complaint with when I made
- 23:20Speaker 1: This's a pretty big mistake? Who should I file my
- 23:23Speaker 1: complaint with? When I make this?
- 23:24Speaker 2: And it sounds like a pre Randall publish.
- 23:26Speaker 5: Great way to promote the fact that we got a
- 23:28Speaker 5: new cook outdoor cookboo.
- 23:32Speaker 1: All right, is everybody ready go ahead and reveal your answers.
- 23:36Speaker 1: We have Max saying Jimmy Cherry, Christine saying pesto, Karen
- 23:41Speaker 1: and Randall and Cal and Yanni and uh, Seth and
- 23:47Speaker 1: Brody saying Jimmy Cherry. They got it to answer. I
- 23:51Speaker 1: don't know if any I can tell you who the
- 23:54Speaker 1: and that was Seth. Seth was the most wrong. We'll
- 23:58Speaker 1: give it to him anyway.
- 24:00Speaker 12: Looking at my answers just so we can laugh.
- 24:04Speaker 1: How although it's less popular There's also red Chimmy churry,
- 24:08Speaker 1: which is made with paprika and dried chili's. Green chimmy
- 24:12Speaker 1: chury is also used in pasta's, as a mari and
- 24:15Speaker 1: as a marinade. To learn how to make it, go
- 24:18Speaker 1: to the meadeater dot com and read Danielle Pruitt's recipe
- 24:20Speaker 1: called Venison Tongue Chimmy Churry. Steve said Danielle's recipe created
- 24:25Speaker 1: the best tongue he's ever had.
- 24:28Speaker 6: Listen. I think for hundreds of recipes that are in
- 24:31Speaker 6: that book to have so far one miscalculation.
- 24:36Speaker 1: There you go, Jimmy churry. If you want to spell
- 24:39Speaker 1: that correctly, c H I am I c H you
- 24:44Speaker 1: are r I.
- 24:45Speaker 5: No, did I missed an R fell.
- 24:48Speaker 1: We're halfway through the game of trivia. Give us a
- 24:50Speaker 1: scoreboard update.
- 24:52Speaker 9: Max, Couran and Christine I'll have three points, Seth and
- 24:55Speaker 9: Cal have four, and it's a three way tie for
- 24:58Speaker 9: first place. Brody On and Randall all have a perfect game.
- 25:01Speaker 6: Golden retriever.
- 25:03Speaker 2: My goodness, you're a dog guy too.
- 25:05Speaker 1: I know question six, Big dog guy, Big Question six.
- 25:20Speaker 1: The topic is hunting. This next great question comes to
- 25:23Speaker 1: his vade via j Thompson. This shore bird is often
- 25:27Speaker 1: associated with the prank, where an unsuspecting person is given
- 25:31Speaker 1: an impossible nighttime hunting task. Max is the winner. This
- 25:36Speaker 1: was a race. Didn't even need to finish the question.
- 25:40Speaker 1: This shore bird is often associated with the prank, where
- 25:44Speaker 1: an unsuspecting person is given an impossible nighttime hunting task.
- 25:51Speaker 10: We used to do this so much.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Okay, well, don't give away too many hints, because I
- 25:54Speaker 1: see a few of your competitors are currently stumped.
- 25:57Speaker 10: I know hopefully, so I know this. I'm just shot
- 26:00Speaker 10: clock ten seconds here a.
- 26:01Speaker 7: Loss for the don't know Randall. This is one of
- 26:06Speaker 7: those things that when you're a little kid, you're like, oh,
- 26:09Speaker 7: there's some mystery to it, but then once you then.
- 26:12Speaker 10: Like, yeah, shot clock.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Here we go. Seth and Brodie seem confident. Cal you
- 26:20Speaker 1: have this one, right, I assume, I assume to Randall,
- 26:25Speaker 1: have you written anything down yet?
- 26:27Speaker 2: No, I'm I'm I'm drawing a blank. I'm gonna go
- 26:29Speaker 2: with the shock.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Let's go.
- 26:32Speaker 5: Here we go.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Here's the question again, this shore bird. This shore bird
- 26:49Speaker 1: is often associated with the unsuspecting person is given an
- 26:54Speaker 1: impossible nighttime hunting task, waiting on Yanni, and do you
- 26:59Speaker 1: boys give up yet it?
- 27:01Speaker 2: I don't know if I'm going to get it.
- 27:03Speaker 1: I just they give up. Go ahead and reveal your answers.
- 27:06Speaker 1: We have saying snipe, Christine without an answer, Karen saying
- 27:11Speaker 1: dodo question mark puffin? Question mark? What if one of
- 27:14Speaker 1: those was a correct answer? Krin? What would I to
- 27:16Speaker 1: do with that.
- 27:18Speaker 2: Answer?
- 27:19Speaker 5: The fewest question mark?
- 27:20Speaker 1: I was gonna say.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Snipe to say, then what happened? I just couldn't. I
- 27:24Speaker 2: didn't think of the word.
- 27:25Speaker 1: Cal says snipe.
- 27:26Speaker 2: If I had come up with the answer, it would
- 27:28Speaker 2: have been snipe.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Yanni says. Seth says snipe, Brody says snipe. They got it.
- 27:32Speaker 1: The correct answer is snipe. The snipe hunt prank dates
- 27:37Speaker 1: back to the eighteen forties. It's a practical joke where
- 27:40Speaker 1: someone is told to go outdoors a night and make
- 27:43Speaker 1: silly noises to attract the mythical snipe, which they're supposed
- 27:46Speaker 1: to catch with a bag. According to the Encyclopedia of
- 27:49Speaker 1: American Folklore, the hazing ritual got popular thanks to Boy
- 27:53Speaker 1: Scouts in the early twentieth century. Has anybody ever been
- 27:57Speaker 1: on a snipe on the fake one or the real one.
- 27:59Speaker 8: All I could a picture in my head was the
- 28:01Speaker 8: person with the bag.
- 28:02Speaker 2: I could picture like a.
- 28:03Speaker 8: Drawing of that sh from a Max.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Did you hate somebody to go snipehunting? Definitely hate you
- 28:10Speaker 1: went snipe honting.
- 28:11Speaker 13: Yeah, we're little kids, and we had pots and pans
- 28:14Speaker 13: and walking up and down the shoreline, and then I
- 28:18Speaker 13: believe someone went on a dock and then fell into
- 28:20Speaker 13: the water and there was no more.
- 28:24Speaker 6: My cousins. It took me snipe hunting. Did it in
- 28:26Speaker 6: the mountains of Colorado? No bag, no shore, no crazy noises.
- 28:35Speaker 6: And I took it very seriously, as did Max.
- 28:39Speaker 1: He was swinging pots and pants around out there.
- 28:41Speaker 2: You guys turned out fine.
- 28:43Speaker 3: Hey, cal have you ever shot a Wilson snipe with
- 28:45Speaker 3: like size to goose shot?
- 28:47Speaker 5: Yeah? Did it just.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Disappeared when that happened, Like you're out hunting geese and ducks.
- 28:53Speaker 7: And you're right, yeah, exactly, You're like, it's the only thing,
- 28:58Speaker 7: the only thing that came by today.
- 29:00Speaker 1: As Brody said, it's a real bird, the Wilson's.
- 29:03Speaker 7: And I think they do taste good though i've eaten.
- 29:05Speaker 5: Yeah, they're like wood.
- 29:06Speaker 2: They've never eaten one.
- 29:07Speaker 10: I learned that they migrate. They do migrade, Yeah, which
- 29:11Speaker 10: is cool. Tony Pearson taught me that.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Question seven. The topic is fishing. This is an audio question.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Phil is going to play you thirty seconds of a
- 29:19Speaker 1: tune called the Fishing Hole. You need to tell me
- 29:22Speaker 1: what nineteen sixties television series. This was the theme song
- 29:26Speaker 1: for Take It Away. Phil. Well, now, no, no, no, hold on,
- 29:33Speaker 1: You're supposed to start at forty seven seconds.
- 29:57Speaker 12: Love the song, love the tune, have no idea?
- 30:00Speaker 1: Yeah, again, you need to tell me what nineteen sixties
- 30:04Speaker 1: television series that was the theme for.
- 30:09Speaker 10: Is this TV series like a fishing show?
- 30:12Speaker 1: I can give you any The tune was called the
- 30:15Speaker 1: Fishing so much fishing in.
- 30:17Speaker 8: My mind, I didn't realize there was anything other than
- 30:19Speaker 8: the whistling.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Yeah during the opening credits you only hear.
- 30:24Speaker 9: Spencer wanted me to play Yeah.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Yeah, No. I was like really thrown off when it
- 30:28Speaker 2: uh huh.
- 30:28Speaker 7: Was going on over there, Brodie you fall asleep.
- 30:30Speaker 2: But the lyrics are nice though.
- 30:33Speaker 9: Yeah, Brody is off camera right now, but he's doing
- 30:36Speaker 9: the board in front of the face move.
- 30:38Speaker 10: I don't think that's he's hid.
- 30:41Speaker 8: I just can't believe that my face turned colors that quickly.
- 30:44Speaker 8: On the Snipe Hunt, I'm no, I'm I can't play pokes.
- 30:48Speaker 7: I've seen it before once strand Will gets rocked off
- 30:51Speaker 7: his game. It's not pretty again.
- 30:53Speaker 1: You need to tell me what nineteen sixties television series
- 30:57Speaker 1: that was the theme song for.
- 31:00Speaker 7: Are we ready?
- 31:00Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 31:01Speaker 10: I don't think.
- 31:01Speaker 13: I don't think we are, except Randall.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Brody do we give up yet?
- 31:08Speaker 2: If I have to, let's up. Let's run the snipe
- 31:15Speaker 2: clock on this.
- 31:16Speaker 10: I'm fine with that.
- 31:17Speaker 7: Yeah, let's count down.
- 31:19Speaker 2: Everybody read so much fun when.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Ahead and your answers we have saying three stooges, Christine
- 31:28Speaker 1: saying leave it to beaver Krinn without an answer, Randall
- 31:31Speaker 1: saying the Andy Griffith Show, Cal sag Andy Griffith Show,
- 31:35Speaker 1: Yohanny sang Andy Griffith Show, Seth saying gone fishing. Brody's saying, what's.
- 31:41Speaker 5: Just people that were on it?
- 31:43Speaker 3: To try and remember every Donnaz who was indeed Richie
- 31:47Speaker 3: Cunningham he was on it too.
- 31:48Speaker 1: The correct answer was the Andy Griffith Show. The Andy
- 31:52Speaker 1: Griffith Show lasted for eight seasons from nineteen sixty to
- 31:56Speaker 1: nineteen sixty eight. It's famous opening credits show Andy and
- 32:00Speaker 1: Opie walking to a river while carrying fishing rods. When
- 32:03Speaker 1: Griffith left the series, the spin off Mayberry RFD was born,
- 32:07Speaker 1: which only lasted three seasons. Johanni, did you ever watch
- 32:12Speaker 1: that show? It ended well before you were around, but
- 32:15Speaker 1: I imagine it was still relevant when you were watching
- 32:17Speaker 1: TV as a kid.
- 32:18Speaker 6: Oh yeah, I'm watching reruns of that. But I did
- 32:21Speaker 6: not have the answer until someone said that they could
- 32:24Speaker 6: only remember it because all they remembered was just the
- 32:27Speaker 6: whistling alone. But then Cass started actually whistling it. I
- 32:32Speaker 6: was like, oh, that's from that show.
- 32:34Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, a lot of hours of Nicked Night have
- 32:38Speaker 1: been dedicated to the night of the show.
- 32:41Speaker 7: Yeah, that was a big yeah question.
- 32:43Speaker 1: Ay, the topic is hunting. This next great question comes
- 32:45Speaker 1: to us via bou Burnett. This company, which was founded
- 32:50Speaker 1: in nineteen twenty two, is best known for its baseball
- 32:53Speaker 1: bats and our tree arrows. Seth, Max, Annie, I wouldn't
- 33:01Speaker 1: cow Okay not Max, take it back, Seth cal Randall Yannie.
- 33:05Speaker 1: They all look confident. This company, which was founded in
- 33:08Speaker 1: nineteen twenty two, is best known for its baseball bats
- 33:11Speaker 1: and archery arrows.
- 33:14Speaker 10: Oh now, I got it, okay.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Max, Max is confident again.
- 33:18Speaker 10: Should have said something else, though, Phil, Did.
- 33:21Speaker 1: You ever watch the Andy Griffiths show?
- 33:22Speaker 2: Oh?
- 33:23Speaker 1: Yeah, you love Nick?
- 33:24Speaker 9: And I had a dad who sat me down in
- 33:26Speaker 9: front of the TV and made me watch like Colombo
- 33:28Speaker 9: and Andy Griffith Show, all of his favorite shows.
- 33:31Speaker 1: And he was young. And do you do you dislike
- 33:34Speaker 1: him for that?
- 33:34Speaker 5: Or do you?
- 33:35Speaker 9: Oh? No, I definitely appreciate it.
- 33:36Speaker 1: Okay, Yeah, hit a lot.
- 33:37Speaker 8: Of home runs.
- 33:38Speaker 5: They'd call you a slugger. You remember that.
- 33:40Speaker 1: Yeah, they don't call you that anymore.
- 33:43Speaker 7: I don't know if they do.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Okay, everyone Cal's requesting to start calling him slugger, he says.
- 33:49Speaker 9: Better than vaculum boy.
- 33:50Speaker 6: Yeah, vaculum boy and sluggers.
- 33:53Speaker 7: Off for thinking about baseball bats? Yeah?
- 33:56Speaker 1: Is everybody ready?
- 33:58Speaker 10: Should have said that?
- 34:00Speaker 5: Everybody read w'd be a good hint?
- 34:01Speaker 1: Follow up on Brody? Are you ready?
- 34:03Speaker 11: Oh?
- 34:04Speaker 5: I'm men, Braddy, I just can't think.
- 34:06Speaker 1: Go ahead and reveal your answers. We have Max saying
- 34:09Speaker 1: easton Karinn, sang easton Karinn without an answer, kill me.
- 34:12Speaker 1: We have Randall, Cal, Yanni and Seth saying easton Brody
- 34:17Speaker 1: without an answer. The correct answer is Easton Brody.
- 34:22Speaker 3: Yeah, my son's gonna kill me for the bat, one man.
- 34:25Speaker 1: When Easton was founded in the nineteen twenties, it was
- 34:28Speaker 1: just making bows and arrows. The company stayed that way
- 34:31Speaker 1: until nineteen sixty four, when it created a ski pole
- 34:34Speaker 1: that became the brand's first non archery product. Five years
- 34:38Speaker 1: after that, they made their first aluminum bat. In twelve
- 34:40Speaker 1: years after that, they made their first hockey stick. Easton
- 34:43Speaker 1: has also dabbled in cycling gear, golf chafts, and drumsticks. Phil,
- 34:48Speaker 1: we have two questions left. Give us a scoreboard update.
- 34:51Speaker 6: Nick timp poles too, don't they.
- 34:53Speaker 1: I think they make a little of everything. It seems like.
- 34:57Speaker 9: Karen and Christine are out of the game. But Max
- 35:00Speaker 9: with five points, Seth and Brody was six and it's
- 35:04Speaker 9: a three way type for first they've got seven points.
- 35:06Speaker 9: It's Cali Giannis and Ramble.
- 35:10Speaker 7: Question nine, Which one did you miss?
- 35:12Speaker 6: I've missed a bunch.
- 35:14Speaker 1: I think you've missed one. We can do a review
- 35:19Speaker 1: of answers here. The first one was Canada Moose. Then
- 35:22Speaker 1: we had the Five States Florida, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, California.
- 35:27Speaker 1: Then we had brown Bears, for the Fat Bear contest,
- 35:31Speaker 1: then Colorado and Missouri for the largest man made lakes.
- 35:35Speaker 1: The cooking question was Jimmy Churry. The hunting answer was snipe.
- 35:40Speaker 1: Then we had the Andy Griffith Show, and the last
- 35:43Speaker 1: question was Easton.
- 35:44Speaker 6: Oh, I guess you're right. I just missed snipe.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Good job, Phil.
- 35:49Speaker 6: I knew that I went on a snipe as a
- 35:51Speaker 6: kid and that it was a joke, but the shore
- 35:53Speaker 6: bird thing threw me off. I did not think of that.
- 35:58Speaker 1: Question. Nine the top is biology. Encyclopedia Britannica defines this
- 36:04Speaker 1: five letter word as quote accumulated excrement of birds, bats,
- 36:09Speaker 1: and seals valued as fertilizer. Brody had this one before
- 36:15Speaker 1: I even finish reading the question. Encyclopedia Britannica defines this
- 36:19Speaker 1: five letter one good input.
- 36:24Speaker 5: Can you get it, Spencer?
- 36:26Speaker 1: I get it. Accumulated excrement of birds, bats and seals
- 36:31Speaker 1: valued as fertilizer. Randal do you know this one?
- 36:36Speaker 2: I do?
- 36:37Speaker 1: Randall and Brody have it right? Seth, you know this
- 36:39Speaker 1: one as well? Maybe you accumulated excrement of birds, bats
- 36:48Speaker 1: and seals valued as fertilizer. It's a five letter word,
- 36:52Speaker 1: five letter feeling.
- 36:56Speaker 9: Pretty good about a tiebreaker this game.
- 36:58Speaker 1: Okay, that'd be fun. He's weird now on an eleven
- 37:00Speaker 1: week drought with no tiebreakers.
- 37:04Speaker 10: I wish I was competing for that tiebreaker.
- 37:07Speaker 1: Don't give up, Max, I gave up long time after
- 37:10Speaker 1: the first. In general, UH, is everybody ready? Who's gonna
- 37:15Speaker 1: come up with an answer?
- 37:17Speaker 10: Nothing?
