- 0:00Speaker 1: Three things you need to know every Friday.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Friends, we made it to Friday. What a week it's been.
- 0:06Speaker 2: My goodness, Ricky Sanchez is right here with those three things.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Speaking of the week that it's been, National Waste Services
- 0:12Speaker 3: made an announcement for trash pickup. They haven't been able
- 0:14Speaker 3: to pick up trash in National since before the storm
- 0:17Speaker 3: hits because of hazardous roads and the aftermath of the
- 0:20Speaker 3: storm with all the trees down and the ice and everything.
- 0:23Speaker 3: So today we'll resume regular pickup with trash. Tomorrow is
- 0:27Speaker 3: going to be Monday and Tuesday routes. Sunday will be
- 0:30Speaker 3: Wednesday routes. Monday will be Thursday routes where cycling pickups
- 0:34Speaker 3: are on hold until your next typical scheduled day. Convenience
- 0:38Speaker 3: centers are open for you to drop your trash. Their
- 0:40Speaker 3: hours are from eight am to three thirty pm today
- 0:43Speaker 3: through Monday. I will put this up on one oh
- 0:46Speaker 3: seven five the River's Instagram page in our story so
- 0:49Speaker 3: that you have all of the actual days listed. It
- 0:51Speaker 3: is up on their instagram as well. They've been very
- 0:54Speaker 3: good about posting every day about whether or not they
- 0:56Speaker 3: were going to pick up trash. Finally, a little since
- 1:00Speaker 3: normalcy that they are picking up trash again. More artists
- 1:04Speaker 3: have been added as performers for this weekend's Grammys. Lady
- 1:07Speaker 3: Gaga and Tyler the Creator were just added. They have
- 1:11Speaker 3: multiple nominations this year, so this is gonna be really good, okay,
- 1:16Speaker 3: because previously announced the performers are Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber,
- 1:20Speaker 3: all of the Best New Artists category, and a bunch more.
- 1:24Speaker 3: The Grammys are this Sunday at seven pm our time.
- 1:26Speaker 3: I'm personally very excited. I know Kevin you're gonna be
- 1:29Speaker 3: watching as well.
- 1:30Speaker 2: I'm very excited about Yeah, it sounds like it's gonna
- 1:32Speaker 2: be a great show, and.
- 1:33Speaker 4: It'll be the end of drug January, so I'm really
- 1:35Speaker 4: looking forward to it.
- 1:36Speaker 3: That's what he's looking forward to more than anything. But
- 1:38Speaker 3: it does look like it's shaping out to be a really,
- 1:40Speaker 3: really good show. I think it's like one of the
- 1:42Speaker 3: few times in the last few years that I've been
- 1:44Speaker 3: genuinely excited to watch the Grammys. Las Vegas shared their
- 1:48Speaker 3: predictions for the most popular wedding dates of the year.
- 1:51Speaker 3: These dates are all based on decades of data that
- 1:54Speaker 3: they have because a lot of people go to Vegas
- 1:56Speaker 3: to get married, so they include so called magic with
- 2:01Speaker 3: repeating numbers. They have palodromes, all that good stuff. Holidays
- 2:05Speaker 3: are a big one, so pretty much every holiday except
- 2:08Speaker 3: for Christmas is gonna be a big one. Valentine's Day,
- 2:11Speaker 3: fourth of July, Halloween, even I was shocked to see that.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Other big ones are June second because it's a palindrome,
- 2:17Speaker 3: so it's six to twenty six, okay, so you could
- 2:20Speaker 3: do it backwards where it's still six to twenty six.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Kind of wild. June twenty six. For the same reason.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Anything that's like an interesting like shape up of numbers,
- 2:32Speaker 3: it's kind of funny because it's almost kind of like
- 2:33Speaker 3: gambling at this point, like Vegas is obviously attached to gambling,
- 2:38Speaker 3: and you pick your numbers very superstitiously. Same idea here
- 2:41Speaker 3: when it comes to weddings, which is kind of wild.
- 2:44Speaker 3: I'm rick Sanchez, and those are the three things you
- 2:46Speaker 3: need to know.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Ricky is Zach and Mano. In the morning on.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Doing our first caller of the day, we got our
- 2:54Speaker 3: friend Kim and Beth Page on the line. Good morning, Kim. Hello,
- 2:58Speaker 3: you were just telling us really quickly that you just
- 3:00Speaker 3: got power back where you are.
- 3:02Speaker 5: Yes, we got it yesterday, but I feel guilty because
- 3:06Speaker 5: no one across the street from us as it back.
- 3:08Speaker 5: Yet it's just our side of the street. I'm up
- 3:10Speaker 5: on the ridge, and some of the neighbors that got
- 3:13Speaker 5: back yesterday last night we were like, oh no, because
- 3:16Speaker 5: across the street it's bad.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:19Speaker 5: I actually stayed with a neighbor with a wood stove
- 3:22Speaker 5: the whole time mine was out. I had to walk
- 3:23Speaker 5: across three acres to get there several times to day
- 3:26Speaker 5: and come back and feed my pets that were still
- 3:29Speaker 5: in my thirty degree house. And yeah, that was terrible.
- 3:32Speaker 5: Everybody was, you know, the elderly, the pets, the kids
- 3:35Speaker 5: up here bad.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Oh, Kim, I'm so happy that you have some power
- 3:39Speaker 3: and some hope then, because hopefully everybody across the street
- 3:41Speaker 3: starts to get some power too.
- 3:43Speaker 5: I'm praying for them. I know a lot of people
- 3:45Speaker 5: in Nashville don't have it. I get it, and it's
- 3:47Speaker 5: just yeah. My another neighbor went and got gas for me,
- 3:50Speaker 5: and a gas can walked it up a five hundred
- 3:52Speaker 5: and fifty foot hill to get it to me so
- 3:54Speaker 5: I could warm up in my car. Neighbors are fantastic.
- 3:58Speaker 3: That's a big for this this winter storm is neighbors
- 4:03Speaker 3: and we've been talking about it a lot on air
- 4:04Speaker 3: of like, help your neighbors if you can, because you
- 4:07Speaker 3: might be the only person that can get to them
- 4:09Speaker 3: right now.
- 4:09Speaker 5: Yes, she invited everybody in the neighborhood that has the
- 4:12Speaker 5: wood stove, and we have one person with a generator
- 4:15Speaker 5: across the street.
- 4:16Speaker 4: So that was I that's really sweet. Yeah, everybody pitching in.
- 4:19Speaker 5: Yes, thirty I did not realize how cold thirty degrees
- 4:22Speaker 5: was in a house till I slept in it that
- 4:24Speaker 5: first night Sunday. I thought I would die. Yeah, I
- 4:27Speaker 5: was under one hundred blanke its couldn't move. You wake
- 4:30Speaker 5: up me up, froth bite on your nose. You're like,
- 4:31Speaker 5: I can't live, Like, I don't know how people do it.
- 4:34Speaker 5: I don't know how people do it.
- 4:36Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, Kim, I'm so happy for you. I
- 4:39Speaker 3: really do feel like this is a turning point that
- 4:41Speaker 3: a lot more people are going to start to get power.
- 4:42Speaker 3: I really hope so at least fingers crossed, because this
- 4:45Speaker 3: is just all absolute insanity.
- 4:47Speaker 5: We all have electricity guilt because we're enjoying it. We're
- 4:49Speaker 5: so happy, and then we're like, oh no, so many
- 4:51Speaker 5: people don't sure, and yeah, it's you just start giving
- 4:55Speaker 5: up hope. After a while, it's like three four days
- 4:57Speaker 5: and the people that have to go to week I
- 4:58Speaker 5: am so sorry for them. It's terrible, Kim.
- 5:02Speaker 3: We all are. We're all thinking about everybody, and we're
- 5:05Speaker 3: you know, trying to give a little bit of sense
- 5:07Speaker 3: of normalcy here on one O seven five of the River.
- 5:09Speaker 3: So that's why we started doing our giveaways again and
- 5:11Speaker 3: stuff like that to kind of give people something to
- 5:14Speaker 3: look forward to. And with that being said, you are
- 5:16Speaker 3: the first caller of the day, so you're gonna takets
- 5:19Speaker 3: to see Laurence Spencer Smith at the Ryman next week.
- 5:22Speaker 6: Yay, yay.
- 5:23Speaker 2: That is exciting, very forward to You need something like
- 5:26Speaker 2: that coming up right now, something to you know, get
- 5:28Speaker 2: excited about.
- 5:29Speaker 5: And they'll have a lot I'm sure, Yes.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Yes, yes, Kim. Thank you so much for hanging out
- 5:35Speaker 3: with us. Oh you're so welcome. Hang on the line, Okay,
- 5:39Speaker 3: we got to get some info from you real quick,
- 5:42Speaker 3: and we'll see you at the show.
- 5:43Speaker 5: Perfect. Yay, Thank you.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach and Manow in the morning.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Happy Friday, friends, it's the River Ricky, Zach and Mano.
- 5:53Speaker 2: In the morning every Friday about this time, we run down,
- 5:55Speaker 2: you know, things happening in and around town of cornucopia
- 5:59Speaker 2: of Nashville's many cornacopia this day, it's a lot of businesses,
- 6:04Speaker 2: local stuff that places that are given back.
- 6:07Speaker 4: You know, a lot of.
- 6:07Speaker 2: People still need help in the aftermath of these storms.
- 6:10Speaker 2: So we have a pretty solid list for you.
- 6:12Speaker 7: Yeah, I thought this one was actually really cool. So
- 6:14Speaker 7: Sanctuary Salons here in Nashville is doing complimentary blowouts for
- 6:18Speaker 7: those without power. And I know that it seems like
- 6:21Speaker 7: something so small, but you would feel so much better
- 6:23Speaker 7: having nice, clean hair a blowout like you need this.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Every woman listening right now knows how much of a
- 6:29Speaker 3: difference it makes when you get your hair done or
- 6:32Speaker 3: when you can wash your hair after you cant for
- 6:34Speaker 3: a while. So that's huge.
- 6:35Speaker 7: So that is that Sanctuary Salons in Nashville. Look them
- 6:39Speaker 7: up if you want to go get your free blowout. Also,
- 6:42Speaker 7: the og of Hot Chicken in Nashville, Prince Is Hot
- 6:45Speaker 7: Chicken is doing free meals all week and long, so
- 6:48Speaker 7: if you just follow their Instagram, they'll give you all
- 6:49Speaker 7: of the updates on when and where they're doing it
- 6:51Speaker 7: this weekend.
- 6:52Speaker 8: But the og Prince is Hot Chicken.
- 6:54Speaker 7: It's given out free meals all week and long, so
- 6:56Speaker 7: our friends that still need food, there's more people like
- 6:59Speaker 7: ed Lee's Barbecue.
- 7:00Speaker 8: You they're giving up free.
- 7:01Speaker 7: Pork sandwiches and Wi Fi And they said that they're
- 7:03Speaker 7: going to do this until everybody has power back, so
- 7:07Speaker 7: indefinitely until everybody has power back, can go get a
- 7:09Speaker 7: free pork sandwich from ed Lee's Barbecue at all of
- 7:12Speaker 7: their locations. Also, Resting Burrito Face is giving up free meals. Girl,
- 7:17Speaker 7: I love a burrito.
- 7:18Speaker 3: That's your favorite. It really is my favorite love burritos,
- 7:21Speaker 3: so it's.
- 7:22Speaker 7: Called Resting Burrito Face. They're giving up free meals as well.
- 7:25Speaker 3: Second Harvest at the Nashville Farmers Market they're giving away
- 7:28Speaker 3: a thousand hot meals at lunchtime today. Hot Meals also
- 7:33Speaker 3: at Canvas Lounge off of Fatherland in East Nashville, happening
- 7:36Speaker 3: from twelve to three today. Really amazing stuff. Daily lunch
- 7:40Speaker 3: and dinner at Madison Community co Op is also happening.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Lunch is at one pm, Dinner is five thirty to
- 7:46Speaker 3: eight thirty pm, And Barrel Proof and loves Albi. They're
- 7:50Speaker 3: offering free meals starting at twelve pm. They also want
- 7:54Speaker 3: everyone to know that their dog friendly, they have Wi Fi,
- 7:57Speaker 3: they have just a place for you to warm up,
- 8:00Speaker 3: charge your stuff, whatever you need. They've reached out on
- 8:03Speaker 3: their Instagram to just let everybody know that like they
- 8:05Speaker 3: are open and they're willing to help.
- 8:07Speaker 4: I'd love that.
- 8:08Speaker 3: And just a reminder support small today and this weekend.
- 8:13Speaker 3: A lot of people are just really hurting after this storm.
- 8:16Speaker 3: A lot of restaurants how to close down, a lot
- 8:17Speaker 3: of shops how to close down. So there's a lot
- 8:19Speaker 3: of people missing out on money because of this storm
- 8:22Speaker 3: who really need it, because the small businesses here in
- 8:25Speaker 3: Nashville are already struggling with the rent prices getting hiked
- 8:29Speaker 3: and all the changes happening here. So support small this
- 8:32Speaker 3: weekend if you're going out absolutelyportant.
- 8:34Speaker 4: Yeah, thank you for that, both of you guys.
- 8:37Speaker 2: If you you know, kind of miss something there, we
- 8:39Speaker 2: will post this later as a podcast.
- 8:40Speaker 4: You can always find our show every day as a podcast.
- 8:42Speaker 4: If you want a.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Reference back to anything that they just mentioned, it'll be
- 8:45Speaker 2: up there wherever you get your podcasts or tricky Zach
- 8:47Speaker 2: and Mannow, thank you guys for that. It's great to
- 8:49Speaker 2: see the community stepping up.
- 8:50Speaker 3: The three things you need to know just after.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Seven o'clock here on this Friday morning. Thank you so
- 8:55Speaker 2: much for starting.
- 8:56Speaker 4: Your Friday with us. Ricky's got those three things.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Brown's Diner is doing an parking lot cookout today. Yesterday
- 9:02Speaker 3: they served burgers, hot dogs, and fries to the community
- 9:05Speaker 3: for free in their parking lot and they're gonna do
- 9:07Speaker 3: it again today. If you still don't have power or
- 9:10Speaker 3: you need a hot meal, you can stop on over
- 9:12Speaker 3: at Browns from ten am till three pm for some
- 9:14Speaker 3: free food and community donations are very much appreciated, and
- 9:18Speaker 3: they're all going right to the staff who haven't been
- 9:20Speaker 3: able to work all week since they've been out of
- 9:22Speaker 3: power and with this storm. So please donate something, even
- 9:26Speaker 3: if it's just a little amount, it's gonna go a
- 9:27Speaker 3: long way for the people who are here to help
- 9:30Speaker 3: you and they're serving you. So this is really amazing stuff.
- 9:32Speaker 3: We're really excited to hear about Brown's Diner stepping up
- 9:34Speaker 3: for the community. Hillary Tough made an announcement at her
- 9:38Speaker 3: show last night in La She's going on a world tour,
- 9:42Speaker 3: so Last night was the last stop of her four
- 9:44Speaker 3: city mini tour, where she announced the world tour was
- 9:48Speaker 3: quote loading. So we have no dates, we have no cities.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Nothing's been fully announced just yet. We just know that
- 9:54Speaker 3: it's coming. I expect an announcement today at some point.
- 9:58Speaker 3: So if that happens, we will post it on one
- 10:01Speaker 3: oh seven five the River's Instagram page so that you
- 10:03Speaker 3: can see it and you can start planning, marking down
- 10:05Speaker 3: your calendar of when you can see her. And you
- 10:08Speaker 3: can swap jewelry from your ex for new jewelry. At
- 10:11Speaker 3: Jcpenny this Valentine's Day, they're doing an event called the
- 10:15Speaker 3: Jcpenny Exchange Get It Exchange, where shoppers can trade in
- 10:20Speaker 3: their jewelry from an X for a new piece. So
- 10:23Speaker 3: they're giving customers a half carrot lab grown diamond necklace,
- 10:26Speaker 3: which is really nice. The exchange jewelry that they're going
- 10:30Speaker 3: to be collecting will all be donated to the nonprofit
- 10:33Speaker 3: Good three sixty, which you'll give them some second life,
- 10:37Speaker 3: So somebody is going to get the pieces that you
- 10:39Speaker 3: donate and you get something new that's not attached to
- 10:42Speaker 3: your really crappy X. That's very cool that they's a
- 10:45Speaker 3: win win all around. We love to see it, Amrique Sanchez.
- 10:48Speaker 3: And those are the three things you need to know.
- 10:50Speaker 2: I think that my wife has a few things from
- 10:52Speaker 2: her past that I'd be happy to see.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Oh that you would be happy to see it.
- 10:56Speaker 4: I don't know, we'll see Recky. Thank you.
- 10:59Speaker 2: I hope you're right it learn because right after the song,
- 11:01Speaker 2: it's time for Zack's Facts next on the River.
- 11:06Speaker 3: Last is in Sessions Zack's.
- 11:08Speaker 8: Facts on one not gonna lie. This one kind of
- 11:12Speaker 8: blew my mind.
- 11:12Speaker 7: Kevin sent it to me on Instagram set shout out
- 11:14Speaker 7: to you, mister Kevin Mano. But the average person spends
- 11:17Speaker 7: over one year of their life with their eyes closed
- 11:20Speaker 7: just from blinking.
- 11:22Speaker 4: That's wild too, Like that's how.
- 11:24Speaker 7: Often we blink. That your eyes are closed for a
- 11:26Speaker 7: whole year of your life.
- 11:27Speaker 2: I mean, it happened so quick that we don't even
- 11:29Speaker 2: like register it most of the time.
- 11:30Speaker 4: You don't, you know, realize that we are blinking. But
- 11:32Speaker 4: they all add up.
- 11:33Speaker 8: I'm trying to keep our eyes wide open.
- 11:35Speaker 4: You never blink again.
- 11:36Speaker 9: Yep.
- 11:36Speaker 4: It's a terrible idea.
- 11:38Speaker 8: And there's your fact of the day.
- 11:39Speaker 4: Thanks zact Ricky is Zach and Mano in the morning.
- 11:43Speaker 3: On the river all of this ice and everything. We
- 11:47Speaker 3: did get some snow last weekend, and it looks like
- 11:50Speaker 3: we're gonna get a little bit of snow in Middle
- 11:52Speaker 3: Tennessee again this weekend. Not sure if it's enough to sled,
- 11:55Speaker 3: but just in case it is, did you use an
- 11:58Speaker 3: alternative sled last year? Weekend?
- 12:00Speaker 2: People get real creative out there, So if you have
- 12:03Speaker 2: anything that's not a sled that.
- 12:05Speaker 4: You used as a sled, we want to know about.
- 12:07Speaker 2: It's six one, five, seven, three seven, nine one oh seven.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Like Ricky said, more snow possibly coming, So help some
- 12:14Speaker 2: people out. If they don't have a sled, they and
- 12:15Speaker 2: they can be really hard to find once it starts snowing.
- 12:18Speaker 2: They're just kind of sold out everywhere. Six one, five, seven,
- 12:20Speaker 2: three seven, nine one oh seven. Your alternative sleds let
- 12:23Speaker 2: us know.
- 12:25Speaker 1: The river, Ricky, Zach and Mennow in the morning.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Easton in Nolansville is on the line right now. We're
- 12:31Speaker 2: asking for alternative sled ideas. There could potentially be some
- 12:35Speaker 2: more snow on the way this weekend.
- 12:37Speaker 4: Uh So, Easton, do you have one for us?
- 12:39Speaker 6: Last year we use a blow up kayak really smart.
- 12:46Speaker 6: It was fast, but it would also feel good on
- 12:49Speaker 6: your on your bomb.
- 12:51Speaker 3: That's such a solid point. Sled's hurt sometimes when it
- 12:54Speaker 3: gets bumpy and you hit like those big bumps are rocks.
- 12:57Speaker 3: It's like not fun on the sled that way. So
- 13:00Speaker 3: this is a good alternative.
- 13:01Speaker 6: At my friend's house, Kate, and he doesn't. We've made
- 13:05Speaker 6: a ramp with uh like you having like the servers.
- 13:10Speaker 8: Oh yeah, that.
- 13:11Speaker 6: Was made out on the bush so we could jump
- 13:13Speaker 6: it and we jump and got so muddy.
- 13:16Speaker 3: Eas Sid, please be careful when you're doing that. I
- 13:18Speaker 3: know I sound like such a mom right now, but
- 13:20Speaker 3: it sounds like a lot of fun. But please be careful.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Okay, Oh good, guess we're that helmet.
- 13:28Speaker 4: Thank you, mom, thank you for calling in.
- 13:31Speaker 3: We hope you have a great day.
- 13:32Speaker 6: Guys too.
- 13:35Speaker 2: I have a really good one that I would like
- 13:37Speaker 2: to share with everybody. Zach, do you have any.
- 13:39Speaker 7: Yeah, of course, I do an upside down folding table.
- 13:42Speaker 7: Like you take the folding table and you turn it
- 13:43Speaker 7: upside down and you slid.
- 13:45Speaker 3: I just pictured some final destination type stuff happening with
- 13:49Speaker 3: those pieces that are sticking out legs.
- 13:51Speaker 4: Hold the legs.
- 13:53Speaker 3: I don't know that.
- 13:54Speaker 1: I like that. I don't know.
- 13:55Speaker 3: I like that. Kevin, what's your idea.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Take a trash bag and put it over like a
- 13:59Speaker 2: couch cushion or something, because it's, you know, nice and
- 14:01Speaker 2: soft for your butt, but the trash bag makes it
- 14:04Speaker 2: nice and slick.
- 14:04Speaker 3: I don't know, not a bad idea. I also will
- 14:07Speaker 3: say that I did see a video circulating that I
- 14:10Speaker 3: believe was in East Nashville where this happened. But people
- 14:13Speaker 3: were taking a canoe down a hills filled with ice
- 14:17Speaker 3: and snow.
- 14:18Speaker 7: I'm so in, But my only fear about the canoe
- 14:20Speaker 7: is like, because you have to sit in it, like
- 14:22Speaker 7: if it flips over, you're stuck in it.
- 14:23Speaker 8: Like I'm I would be scared of tring hap sizes.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, a lot of people were also using blow
- 14:29Speaker 3: up mattresses last weekend. I saw a video with blow
- 14:31Speaker 3: up mattresses.
- 14:32Speaker 7: I have a big old unicorn inflatable like pool thing
- 14:36Speaker 7: that is brilliant. You can just fill in, fill up
- 14:38Speaker 7: the pool floaty and slide down and it's a big
- 14:41Speaker 7: old unicorn.
- 14:42Speaker 3: I feel like it's gonna pop, But you tried until
- 14:44Speaker 3: it pops.
- 14:45Speaker 4: Why not? I think we used a laundry basket when
- 14:47Speaker 4: I was a kid.
- 14:48Speaker 3: There's a lot of laundry basket.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Do you want to join the conversation? Six one five, seven,
- 14:53Speaker 2: three seven nine one oh seven?
- 14:55Speaker 1: Uh?
- 14:55Speaker 4: Why was that face? Because the way I said conversation conversation.
- 15:00Speaker 4: Let us know your alternative clubs.
- 15:01Speaker 3: Ricky is Zach and manno in the morning on the river,
- 15:06Speaker 3: Brady and Auburn Town, welcome to one O seven five
- 15:08Speaker 3: the river. Tell us an alternative sled to use in
- 15:11Speaker 3: the snow. What's up?
- 15:15Speaker 1: Let me put y'all on some games. So we're all
- 15:17Speaker 1: from about fifty percent of the people have a full.
- 15:20Speaker 9: Wheeler and they have a cow draw and a cowtraw
- 15:24Speaker 9: is a way.
- 15:24Speaker 8: To go a couch.
- 15:25Speaker 4: What a cow trough?
- 15:27Speaker 1: A cow trough, that's right.
- 15:28Speaker 5: A beating trough up whatever it's us.
- 15:30Speaker 9: Usually you can get the long ones and you can.
- 15:33Speaker 5: Get four people in it, and you get a rope
- 15:35Speaker 5: and they usual they.
- 15:36Speaker 4: Have holes on the ends of the draw and you die.
- 15:38Speaker 3: It to your full wheel or whatever.
- 15:39Speaker 6: Sometimes you don't even need a full wheeler and the
- 15:42Speaker 6: bomb all the.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Time, Dy, I'm not gonna lie a lot of fun.
- 15:45Speaker 4: That looks so fun.
- 15:45Speaker 3: I'm totally.
- 15:46Speaker 7: And I remember, like when I was in high school,
- 15:48Speaker 7: we would take like the hood of the car and
- 15:51Speaker 7: take it off and sit on the hood of the
- 15:52Speaker 7: car and have someone else pull us with a different car.
- 15:55Speaker 4: It was so fun.
- 15:56Speaker 3: It seems like everybody's got their own version of this
- 15:59Speaker 3: because I'm from in Jersey. I grew up on a
- 16:01Speaker 3: lake and we used to take a go kart on
- 16:04Speaker 3: the lake and tie up an inner tube to the
- 16:06Speaker 3: back of it. Yeah, and just drive around on the
- 16:08Speaker 3: lake and just whip the tube all over the place.
- 16:12Speaker 3: It was a lot of fun.
- 16:13Speaker 4: How did any of you survive your childhood? This is
- 16:16Speaker 4: all insane.
- 16:18Speaker 3: We survived and we have a lot of great stories
- 16:20Speaker 3: to tell.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Now, I will say, Brady, I am, I guess such
- 16:23Speaker 2: a city boy.
- 16:23Speaker 4: I've never priced cow troughs before.
- 16:26Speaker 2: But I just looked it up and they're not that expensive.
- 16:28Speaker 2: I mean, you could get a pretty decent one for
- 16:30Speaker 2: like one hundred and twenty bucks at home depot.
- 16:31Speaker 3: No, they're not too bad, and.
- 16:33Speaker 1: If you get one new, you kind of minimize the
- 16:36Speaker 1: cowcraf on.
- 16:37Speaker 3: Yeah, Brady, good tips. Thank you so much for calling in.
- 16:43Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 16:45Speaker 3: I love that so much.
- 16:46Speaker 8: Did you guys ever use baking sheets.
- 16:49Speaker 4: That's a popular one. I don't think I ever did,
- 16:50Speaker 4: but yeah, that's a popular one.
- 16:51Speaker 7: I remember when we couldn't find anything, was always a
- 16:53Speaker 7: baking sheet that we would use.
- 16:55Speaker 8: My mother did not love it, but I had fun.
- 16:57Speaker 3: It was the lids to the garbage cans most Yeah, Ricky,
- 17:01Speaker 3: did you say you guys would drive a truck on
- 17:03Speaker 3: ice pond and we would, well, we would take out
- 17:05Speaker 3: either the four wheelers or the goat cart and put
- 17:08Speaker 3: it out onto the lake, not the pond, the lake
- 17:11Speaker 3: when it would freeze over, and we would just attach
- 17:13Speaker 3: an inner tube to the back. And there was an
- 17:15Speaker 3: adult driving the goat cart, but it was the kids
- 17:17Speaker 3: in the back. And it was a lot of fun.
- 17:18Speaker 8: See that's much more dangerous than mine.
- 17:20Speaker 3: No fun. Fact, only a little bit of ice, like
- 17:23Speaker 3: an inch of ice, can hold a lot of weight.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Guys, I don't think I want to test that theory,
- 17:27Speaker 2: but I say it's science.
- 17:29Speaker 3: But also I want to say, do not try this
- 17:31Speaker 3: on your own. You need like seven inches of ice
- 17:33Speaker 3: to actually take those things out there.
- 17:34Speaker 4: Don't do any of these things whatever over here. Don't
- 17:39Speaker 4: even try McGall tickets. We've got them.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Next Ricky, Zach and Mennow.
- 17:45Speaker 3: In the morning, we're playing Kevin Mano's game of the
- 17:47Speaker 3: Day on one O seven five the River. It's called
- 17:49Speaker 3: sure Thing. I think it's the easiest game that we
- 17:52Speaker 3: have ever played.
- 17:53Speaker 4: Without a doubt.
- 17:54Speaker 3: For tickets to see Miguel at the Ryeman on February eleventh.
- 17:57Speaker 4: And Holly in Manchester is on the line right now. Morning, Holly,
- 18:00Speaker 4: how you doing.
- 18:01Speaker 9: Good morning, I'm doing Wow. How are you guys?
- 18:03Speaker 4: We're okay, We're okay.
- 18:04Speaker 2: We've been checking in with people all week to see
- 18:06Speaker 2: how they made it through the storms.
- 18:07Speaker 4: Did you guys lose power or anything?
- 18:09Speaker 9: We didn't. We didn't lose power. I don't think we
- 18:12Speaker 9: got as much here as you guys did in Nashville.
- 18:15Speaker 9: So okay, good, good, grateful for that.
- 18:18Speaker 4: Happy to hear that.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Because of the storms, we've been playing the easiest game
- 18:22Speaker 2: we've ever played over here, because nobody needs extra stress.
- 18:25Speaker 2: It's called sure Thing. I'm gonna ask you some questions.
- 18:27Speaker 2: You get three out of five of them, right, these
- 18:29Speaker 2: mcguel tickets or yours?
- 18:30Speaker 4: Okay, okay, awesome, all right, Holly in Manchester. Your game
- 18:33Speaker 4: starts right now.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Okay, Holly, what was your first concert?
- 18:42Speaker 9: My first concert with new Kids on the Block?
- 18:45Speaker 3: Oh no, on the board and good choice.
- 18:49Speaker 4: That's awesome.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Thanks.
- 18:52Speaker 4: Do you remember who opened for them or anything? Because
- 18:53Speaker 4: that is so cool.
- 18:54Speaker 6: I do not.
- 18:55Speaker 9: I don't remember who opened for them. If I would
- 18:58Speaker 9: have had my picket, it would have been Debbie Gibson.
- 19:01Speaker 9: I'm really dating myself.
- 19:02Speaker 3: Here, right. That's a throwback for sure, Hollie.
- 19:07Speaker 4: Question too, here we go.
- 19:09Speaker 2: If you had to teach a class on something, what
- 19:12Speaker 2: would it be?
- 19:13Speaker 4: What do you know a lot about? Hollys? Okay, that's
- 19:20Speaker 4: a great answer.
- 19:21Speaker 7: Two points, Holly, you just need one more, Holly, What
- 19:25Speaker 7: did you want to be.
- 19:26Speaker 4: When you were a kid?
- 19:30Speaker 9: I wanted to be a nurse in a prenatal unit.
- 19:36Speaker 4: Are we going to take that? Judges, We're gonna do.
- 19:42Speaker 9: Awesome. I'm so excited.
- 19:45Speaker 3: Congratulations, Allie, you killed the game. He did a great job.
- 19:48Speaker 9: Awesome. I appreciate you got some much.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Hang on the line. Okay, we gotta get your info.
- 19:53Speaker 4: Okay, we'll never.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Play a game that easy again, knows but yeah, hopefully
- 19:57Speaker 2: we don't.
- 19:57Speaker 3: We're not in a situation like we don't have to
- 19:59Speaker 3: deal with this again. Three things you need.
- 20:02Speaker 2: To know well, he love just after eight o'clock here
- 20:05Speaker 2: on this Friday. We're very happy it's Friday.
- 20:07Speaker 4: Very happy you're starting and with us. Ricky's got those
- 20:09Speaker 4: three things.
- 20:10Speaker 3: There are still a lot of people in Middle Tennessee
- 20:13Speaker 3: without power right now, most of whom are now on
- 20:16Speaker 3: day six without power, which is insane. So the latest
- 20:20Speaker 3: tally shows that nes is reporting seventy two, three hundred
- 20:24Speaker 3: and forty five customers without power. Middle Tennessee Electric is
- 20:27Speaker 3: down to two two people without power, Dixon Electric shows
- 20:32Speaker 3: eleven hundred customers without power, and Tri County Electric reports
- 20:35Speaker 3: twenty nine hundred and ninety nine without power. Please keep
- 20:39Speaker 3: checking on your neighbors who don't have power. If you
- 20:41Speaker 3: need places to stay warm, there are still warming shelters
- 20:44Speaker 3: throughout Middle Tennessee that are open, and a lot of
- 20:47Speaker 3: places are offering free food, places for you to charge
- 20:50Speaker 3: up your electronics to get some Wi Fi. You can
- 20:54Speaker 3: see a lot of those updates over on one of
- 20:56Speaker 3: seventy five of the River's Instagram page. We're also obviously
- 20:58Speaker 3: going to keep you updated here on one of seven
- 21:01Speaker 3: five of the River, but it's very easy to just
- 21:03Speaker 3: keep those updates flowing on the River's Instagram page, And
- 21:06Speaker 3: this is your reminder to call your representatives and tell
- 21:09Speaker 3: them the kind of impacts that this storm had on
- 21:11Speaker 3: you and your neighbors, because we need to be better
- 21:14Speaker 3: prepared for winter weather here in Middle Tennessee. Because this
- 21:16Speaker 3: is absolutely insane at this point. So just your reminder
- 21:19Speaker 3: call your representatives when you get a chance. Jury Duty
- 21:23Speaker 3: is back for season two with a new setting. So
- 21:26Speaker 3: the premise of Jury Duty, if you don't know, it's
- 21:28Speaker 3: a show filmed where everyone on set knew that the
- 21:32Speaker 3: jury duty that they were at was fake, except for
- 21:35Speaker 3: one person who really thought they were spending a typical
- 21:39Speaker 3: stint as someone on jury duty. It was really a
- 21:42Speaker 3: big hit when it came out. This time, they had
- 21:45Speaker 3: to switch up the scenery. Obviously, you can't do jury
- 21:47Speaker 3: duty again. People are going to catch on. So they
- 21:50Speaker 3: went on a corporate retreat Jury Duty presents company retreat
- 21:56Speaker 3: set at an off site event for a family owned
- 21:58Speaker 3: hot sauce company. So they recently hired Anthony is his
- 22:02Speaker 3: name as a temp and he's in for a wild ride.
- 22:05Speaker 3: So this was filmed a year ago or so, and
- 22:08Speaker 3: the first fuse episodes of the season are going to
- 22:11Speaker 3: come out March twentieth. They're gonna get three episode on
- 22:14Speaker 3: episodes on March thirtieth or twentieth. The next two episodes
- 22:17Speaker 3: are on March twenty seventh. The final three are on
- 22:20Speaker 3: April third.
- 22:21Speaker 8: I hope when they.
- 22:21Speaker 3: Break it up like that, though it doesn't make any
- 22:24Speaker 3: sense to me. Just give us everything or do it weekly.
- 22:27Speaker 3: This is ridiculous, but you get your first taste March twentieth,
- 22:31Speaker 3: and Lego they have a new Golden Retriever set that
- 22:34Speaker 3: is available for pre order. Golden Retrievers are one of
- 22:37Speaker 3: the most popular dog breeds in the US, and they
- 22:39Speaker 3: have been for years. So Lego Icon's Golden Retriever puppy
- 22:43Speaker 3: is an adorable little pup wearing a blue collar with
- 22:46Speaker 3: a gold tag. After you put it together and you
- 22:48Speaker 3: assemble it, you can pose it in different positions, including
- 22:51Speaker 3: the shake stamp.
- 22:53Speaker 8: It's so cute.
- 22:54Speaker 3: It's got over two thousand pieces, but it can be
- 22:57Speaker 3: pre ordered now for their February first release this weekend.
- 23:00Speaker 3: You just gotta go to Lego's website. It'll cost you
- 23:02Speaker 3: about one hundred and forty dollars. I'm Rick Sanchez, and
- 23:05Speaker 3: those are the three things you need to know, prikis
- 23:07Speaker 3: Zach and Meno in the Morning on one yeahther Around.
- 23:11Speaker 3: Welcome to the Leftovers on one oh seven five the River.
- 23:14Speaker 3: This is where each of us gets thirty seconds to
- 23:16Speaker 3: tell you either a story or a topic, whatever it
- 23:21Speaker 3: might be that just didn't make the show this week.
- 23:23Speaker 3: I always kick it off. I'm ready to start. I'm
- 23:25Speaker 3: gonna tell you the trend that men are finally hopping
- 23:29Speaker 3: on that women have been doing for decades.
- 23:30Speaker 4: You've got thirty seconds to present.
- 23:32Speaker 5: Go.
- 23:33Speaker 3: So they're embracing skincare, grooming, and even get Ready with
- 23:37Speaker 3: Me routines.
- 23:38Speaker 4: Oh I know.
- 23:40Speaker 3: The funniest and best part of all of this, though,
- 23:41Speaker 3: is that they're insisting that it's not beauty culture. They're
- 23:45Speaker 3: trying to, you know, say, it's not beauty culture, it's
- 23:47Speaker 3: not what women do. But it's the exact same thing.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Because viral videos are happening all over the place of
- 23:52Speaker 3: get Ready with Me routines like the one from heatd
- 23:55Speaker 3: Rivalries Hudson Williams. He has a five step Korean skincare
- 23:58Speaker 3: routine that has millions of views right now and a
- 24:02Speaker 3: lot of men following his lead. So the trend is
- 24:05Speaker 3: driven by social media and influencers and obviously guys being
- 24:08Speaker 3: a little more comfortable with wanting to look good, even
- 24:10Speaker 3: though they're not actually saying it's beauty culture.
- 24:13Speaker 4: But I'm okay with that.
- 24:15Speaker 3: Here they are.
- 24:15Speaker 2: I have different face washes, I have different lotions for
- 24:17Speaker 2: different times of the day and things, and all these products.
- 24:20Speaker 4: I wouldn't call it beauty. I call it skincare.
- 24:23Speaker 3: Part of beauty culture.
- 24:25Speaker 8: Skincare, cuture is the massive umbrella.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, skincare, grooming, all of that is part of
- 24:31Speaker 3: beauty culture.
- 24:32Speaker 4: If you're doing it to look good.
- 24:33Speaker 2: If you want to call me beautiful, go ahead.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Kevin, you are divine and gorgeous. Beautiful. Look at that
- 24:43Speaker 3: face just blowing, Zach. Are you ready?
- 24:47Speaker 8: I'm ready get away from I'm ready, okay.
- 24:50Speaker 7: So I want to talk about the Super Bowl coming
- 24:52Speaker 7: up next Sunday, and so apparently, according to finance Buzz,
- 24:55Speaker 7: if you're hosting a party for ten people for the
- 24:58Speaker 7: Big Game, it'll cost you on average one hundred and
- 25:00Speaker 7: sixty seven dollars, which is seven point two percent more
- 25:03Speaker 7: expensive than last year. They're saying chicken wings alone will
- 25:06Speaker 7: set you back thirty nine dollars for enough to feed
- 25:09Speaker 7: ten people, and then of course you're gonna pay more.
- 25:11Speaker 8: For a beer and chips too.
- 25:12Speaker 7: But then my mind started going, like what do you
- 25:14Speaker 7: expect when you go to like a Super Bowl party? Like,
- 25:16Speaker 7: what is the one food you're looking forward too?
- 25:19Speaker 2: Okay, so mind's buffalo chicken dip, ny cauliflower wings.
- 25:24Speaker 4: I'm a vegetarian.
- 25:26Speaker 3: I don't expect that anywhere.
- 25:28Speaker 8: I mean, you can.
- 25:28Speaker 4: Still have keeso, yeah, for sure, for sure.
- 25:31Speaker 3: All right, keV, it's your turn. What do you got
- 25:33Speaker 3: for us?
- 25:33Speaker 2: I have a list of disgusting habits that people secretly
- 25:36Speaker 2: think are one hundred percent normal. I'm gonna run if
- 25:38Speaker 2: you buy you guys and see if you do them right.
- 25:41Speaker 2: Smelling your armpits to see if you stink. Yeah, I
- 25:43Speaker 2: do that all time, all the time.
- 25:46Speaker 4: This is a gross one to me.
- 25:47Speaker 2: But licking your wrists and then smelling it to see
- 25:49Speaker 2: if your bread stinks, I've never done.
- 25:52Speaker 8: I've never heard of that.
- 25:53Speaker 4: I've heard it.
- 25:53Speaker 8: Like breathing into your hands.
- 25:55Speaker 4: This is totally normal to me.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Eating over the sink like a raccoon when you don't
- 25:59Speaker 2: want to wash a plate.
- 26:00Speaker 4: Oh yeah, all the time.
- 26:01Speaker 3: I'll put things on literal pieces of napkins and paper towels,
- 26:04Speaker 3: so I don't have to watch every.
- 26:06Speaker 2: Day licking chip dust off your fingers all the time
- 26:10Speaker 2: and licking the ice cream lid.
- 26:14Speaker 3: I don't think I've ever done that.
- 26:15Speaker 4: Like, I never even thought about that.
- 26:16Speaker 3: I was gonna say, I can't say I haven't thought
- 26:18Speaker 3: about it, but I don't think I've actually done it.
- 26:20Speaker 4: There were more over here, but they're so disgusting. I'm
- 26:22Speaker 4: just not even gonna I.
- 26:23Speaker 3: Don't want to know if we've done them.
- 26:26Speaker 4: That concludes The Left.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Nashville's number one hip music station. January has been the
- 26:32Speaker 3: longest month to ever exist in the history of humanity.
- 26:35Speaker 8: It literally feels like it's been at least a decade.
- 26:37Speaker 3: It feels that way every year, but this year especially
- 26:40Speaker 3: feels long, and I think everybody can relate to that.
- 26:43Speaker 3: Today's daily double tap on one of seven five of
- 26:45Speaker 3: the River is all about that.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Basically, just a woman sitting in her car coming to
- 26:49Speaker 2: the realization that the exact thing that Ricky just said,
- 26:52Speaker 2: here we go here.
- 26:53Speaker 3: It's still January. It's still January. Oh my god.
- 27:05Speaker 2: The end there's her kind of like burying her face
- 27:08Speaker 2: into a sweatshirt, and screaming.
- 27:09Speaker 7: I feel that video on a spiritual level because I
- 27:12Speaker 7: feel like I do that.
- 27:12Speaker 8: Every day, Like, how is it still January? What's happening?
- 27:16Speaker 3: Screaming feels good too, it does.
- 27:17Speaker 8: You gotta let it out.
- 27:18Speaker 3: We gotta scream sometimes, Like.
- 27:21Speaker 4: Do some quick math.
- 27:22Speaker 2: Here, thirty nine hours left in January, so it's a
- 27:25Speaker 2: winding down and maybe because we're all doing dry January
- 27:29Speaker 2: over here, it feels a little extra long to us.
- 27:31Speaker 4: But you know, I don't know.
- 27:32Speaker 3: The snowstorm didn't help. There's a lot news.
- 27:36Speaker 4: Yeah, there's just there's so much everything.
- 27:39Speaker 3: Not everything can fit in one month.
- 27:41Speaker 4: Yeah, my god.
- 27:42Speaker 2: So if you want to scream into a sweatshirt today,
- 27:44Speaker 2: you are not alone.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach and Mannow in the morning.
