  When I close my eyes and think about my childhood, I picture

  you in a suit with a wide Jerry Garcia style tie, walking
• 0:25
  through the back door from your long commute home from work just
• 0:29
  in time to eat dinner at our small white oak dining table
• 0:32
  that's at 40. The stories that table could
• 0:35
  tell. I also think of you in the
• 0:38
  stands at every one of my sports games, driving me to practices,
• 0:42
  always with the snacks and the sports drinks in hand.

  I think about the dinner Mom pulled together nightly after a
• 0:49
  day on her feet teaching 5th graders, many of whom probably
• 0:52
  ate TV dinners and didn't have parents who would enroll them in
• 0:56
  sports of their own. Looking back on my childhood, I
• 0:59
  think about how Mom was always conscious about the food she had
• 1:03
  in the house. She talked about eating healthy
• 1:05
  foods, veggies, foods with nutrients.

  She said eating healthy was important because it made our
• 1:11
  body feel good, our brain work better, it was good for us.

  I also think about the infamously desired lunchable
• 1:20
  you'd pack for our lunches. Only on birthdays, of course,
• 1:24
  and the mini cheesecake bites with the Jelly toppings that mom
• 1:27
  bought at Costco every so often and hid in the freezer in the
• 1:30
  basement. I think about how those were
• 1:33
  special treats. Fast forward to this time in our
• 1:36
  lives. You and mom are now 75 and you
• 1:40
  have 4 grandkids. Your love for them is
• 1:44
  indescribable. But Can you believe that three
• 1:48
  of your 4 grandchildren have chronic illness?
• 1:51
  Your oldest granddaughter, bright as can be while battling
• 1:55
  dyslexia and ADHD at just six years old.
• 1:59
  Your middle grandchild, born healthy but after receiving her
• 2:03
  childhood vaccinations, now has an autism diagnosis, living in
• 2:08
  an almost silent world. And of course, your beloved
• 2:13
  youngest grandchild, who we came within inches from losing at the
• 2:17
  age of 1 1/2 after getting his MMR vaccine.

  I think about how before he received the vaccine, he had
• 2:25
  just started walking. He was wrestling with his
• 2:28
  sisters, climbing on the couch. He was talking, energetic.
• 2:33
  His eyes sparkled when he smiled at us.
• 2:37
  He was our sweet, wild baby boy. And then he got his MMR vaccine.
• 2:45
  And then he started coming home from daycare, and he would lay
• 2:49
  on the floor in the kitchen when we cooked dinner.

  And then his daycare teachers told us he had stopped
• 2:54
  interacting. And then he stopped playing with
• 2:57
  his sisters. He stopped climbing on the
• 3:00
  couch. He stopped walking, he stopped
• 3:03
  talking, he stopped eating. He stopped making eye contact.
• 3:08
  He stopped just about everything.

  I remember, as if I could touch the moment in time, his lifeless
• 3:16
  body resting on my chest as we took him to the pediatrician and
• 3:20
  then back to the emergency room. I remember how scared he looked.
• 3:25
  I remember I felt like I was holding my newborn baby, not my
• 3:29
  rambunctious toddler. Where did he go?
• 3:34
  I remember the oxygen in his nose and over his mouth, the Ivs
• 3:39
  in his tiny little hands. I remember his neck limb as a
• 3:44
  noodle, his legs like those of a paraplegic, too numb from what
• 3:49
  was taking over his body to even feel the excruciating pain of
• 3:53
  the Spinal Tap. I remember standing outside of
• 3:57
  the MRI machine wondering if he would live through the night.

  I remember the first night in the pediatric ICU, he was laying
• 4:06
  lifeless, struggling to breathe. He couldn't move anything except
• 4:11
  his eyes. I distinctly remember him
• 4:14
  looking at me and I could feel him thinking, Mom, what's
• 4:19
  happening to my body? I remember the month of living
• 4:26
  in the hospital, our little room with a makeshift couch bed, the
• 4:31
  around the clock doctor visits, the medication, the therapy, our
• 4:37
  new daily routine. I remember wondering every
• 4:41
  single day is he ever going to recover fully?
• 4:46
  I remember the doctors rounding regularly and I would ask them
• 4:50
  and they said we honestly don't know, Only time will tell.

  Countless doctor's appointments, acupuncture, red light therapy,
• 5:00
  searching, searching and more searching for ways to bring him
• 5:05
  back to life. I know you remember it too, Dad.

  I think back on how you raised us, our values, and how you
• 5:15
  taught us to treat our bodies. I've come to learn that the
• 5:20
  meals you fed us when we were children, they're not the same
• 5:23
  anymore. If I were to put the same dinner
• 5:26
  on the table that you did back on those busy work nights, those
• 5:31
  same foods are now filled with chemicals.
• 5:35
  We are living in a much different country than the one
• 5:37
  you raised us in, Dad. I am not a Trumper, but I am a
• 5:43
  mother. The person you raised me to be.
• 5:46
  Someone who seeks the truth and endeavors to provide a healthy
• 5:50
  life for our children. I know you love us.
• 5:53
  You see how hard we work to put healthy food on the table, How
• 5:58
  we research in the dark hours of the night when the house is
• 6:01
  quiet. What food we can give our kids
• 6:03
  that's not jam packed with chemicals.
• 6:06
  How to reverse these damning effects of vaccination that have
• 6:09
  turned our lives literally upside down.

  The truth is, there is only one candidate that has aligned
• 6:16
  themselves with stopping this. There is only one candidate

  who's going to give our kids a chance at a healthy existence.
