- 0:04Speaker 2: No Mark Simon Shaw Day. Another beautiful day. It's gonna
- 0:12Speaker 2: be in the eighties today, Summer day today. All right,
- 0:16Speaker 2: a lot to get to. We'll get to the met Gala,
- 0:19Speaker 2: We'll get to President Trump, We'll get to Iran, We'll
- 0:21Speaker 2: get to crazy Mom, Donnie Them, news about h Ron DeSantis,
- 0:28Speaker 2: and a whole lot more coming up. Here's the latest,
- 0:30Speaker 2: don Rudy Giuliani. It's good news, not great news, but
- 0:33Speaker 2: it's good news. He was in a coma, he was
- 0:36Speaker 2: on a ventilator. He was even given his last writes
- 0:39Speaker 2: by a priest. But he came out of the coma yesterday.
- 0:42Speaker 2: He came off the ventilator yesterday. He has turned a
- 0:46Speaker 2: corner and hopefully is on his way to a full recovery.
- 0:51Speaker 2: We'll keep you posted, but that's very good news for yesterday.
- 0:56Speaker 2: John Sterling, the great Yankee announcer who everybody just stunned
- 1:01Speaker 2: by his death yesterday morning him. There was a beautiful
- 1:05Speaker 2: night last night at Yankee Stadium. Tributes everywhere. It was
- 1:09Speaker 2: really well done. The Yankee Caps every one of them
- 1:12Speaker 2: had Sterling's initials on them for the night, and crowd
- 1:18Speaker 2: just stood and cheered for him. It was quite an
- 1:20Speaker 2: emotional night. The great John Sterling boo game over, World
- 1:24Speaker 2: Series over, Yankees win the Yankees whom Yeah, now there's
- 1:33Speaker 2: a video I don't want to play. It's too it's
- 1:35Speaker 2: Michael Kay really teared up, just started crying talking about
- 1:39Speaker 2: John Sterling and it was very emotional. But during the
- 1:41Speaker 2: game last night, Judge hits a home run and Michael
- 1:45Speaker 2: Kay pays tribute to Sterling and the pitch high dry
- 1:51Speaker 2: light centerfield going down to barist Pennis, Come is gone.
- 1:58Speaker 1: How do you judge, Judgey?
- 2:00Speaker 2: A blast?
- 2:01Speaker 1: Here comes the Judge.
- 2:04Speaker 2: All great John Sterling catchphrases. So Hey, the latest in Iran.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Things are good. Don't worry, don't panic, don't let the
- 2:11Speaker 2: media frighten you. The straits of horn Moose totally under
- 2:15Speaker 2: our control. We have complete control of the Strait of
- 2:18Speaker 2: horm Moose. And they've tried to move a few boats
- 2:20Speaker 2: through there. Other countries, a lot of countries have boats
- 2:23Speaker 2: that have been waiting in port, just backed up, waiting
- 2:27Speaker 2: there for weeks, trying to get out. We moved a
- 2:29Speaker 2: couplet of a couple of them moved through. They were fired upon,
- 2:35Speaker 2: but not successfully, no real damage. And then what they
- 2:38Speaker 2: call the mosquito boats came out of the coast of Iran.
- 2:42Speaker 2: These are these little boats with explosives on them, little
- 2:46Speaker 2: suicide boats, and some of them not nobody on them.
- 2:52Speaker 2: They're totally remote controlled. So they tried to take out
- 2:55Speaker 2: the ships. They were blown out of the water. Six
- 2:57Speaker 2: of them just immediately blown out of the water. It's
- 3:01Speaker 2: believe there's hundreds of those along the shore. We'll could
- 3:04Speaker 2: go in and clean them all out, but it's not necessary.
- 3:07Speaker 2: The straight oh Hoorn Moose is that we actually have
- 3:09Speaker 2: opened a channel in it on the other side, you know,
- 3:12Speaker 2: the straight two sides. One side is Iran, the other
- 3:15Speaker 2: side is Uae and as you go down the coast
- 3:18Speaker 2: other countries, so that other side is not a ran.
- 3:21Speaker 2: We've opened a channel along that side where we can
- 3:23Speaker 2: move ships in and out. Nobody is ready to go yet,
- 3:27Speaker 2: and there's mostly the insurance companies that hold it up.
- 3:29Speaker 2: There are ships that would go and which feel safe
- 3:32Speaker 2: with the US Navy guarding them, but the insurance company
- 3:35Speaker 2: won't give the go ahead. And one of those tankers
- 3:37Speaker 2: millions of dollars the cargo on it also millions of dollars,
- 3:41Speaker 2: so they're not going to go without the insurance. So
- 3:43Speaker 2: it's really Alloyd's a London problem right now. But the
- 3:49Speaker 2: other thing that might happen. Iran did fire on the
- 3:54Speaker 2: UAE yesterday. The missile is not really doing much damage.
- 3:59Speaker 2: They the most part were shot down. Almost all of
- 4:02Speaker 2: them were shot down, and one started when the debris
- 4:06Speaker 2: landing cost a small fire in the United Arab Emirates.
- 4:10Speaker 2: But fifteen missiles were fired at the UAE, every one
- 4:13Speaker 2: of them intercepted, taken down. Four drones were fired by Iran,
- 4:19Speaker 2: all of those taken out, but the one caused a
- 4:21Speaker 2: fire at an oil facility. Now here's what's going to
- 4:24Speaker 2: happen from what we're hearing is others might join this fight.
- 4:28Speaker 2: The UAE cutter may also declare war on Iran and
- 4:33Speaker 2: join the fight officially. That would be interesting. And we
- 4:38Speaker 2: are creating right now a dome over the Strait of
- 4:42Speaker 2: Hormuz an actual, you know, like Israel has the Iron Dome.
- 4:45Speaker 2: We'll create a dome that would if anything comes into
- 4:51Speaker 2: the water, anything from the side, anything from the Iranian coast,
- 4:54Speaker 2: a boat, a drone, anything, we could shoot it down immediately.
- 4:57Speaker 2: So that's the latest on Iran price of gas. Yeah,
- 5:01Speaker 2: it's gone up a little, but a lot of that.
- 5:05Speaker 2: You know, it's not as high as you think. If
- 5:07Speaker 2: you're in New York, it seems very high. If you're
- 5:10Speaker 2: in California, it's right through the roof. It's like hitting
- 5:13Speaker 2: it's going to hit ten dollars a gallon. But that's
- 5:17Speaker 2: nothing to do with this war. In New York, it's
- 5:20Speaker 2: Kathy Hokeel taxes. In California, it's an absolute mess. It's
- 5:27Speaker 2: state taxes are adding like five dollars to a gallon,
- 5:31Speaker 2: but it's more than that. California is pretty much running
- 5:35Speaker 2: out of gas. They have for two reasons. One because
- 5:39Speaker 2: of all their crazy green stuff. They never allowed pipelines
- 5:43Speaker 2: to be built to California. You know, we produce more
- 5:46Speaker 2: gas than we could ever use. We produced twice as
- 5:49Speaker 2: much gas as we use every day. We produce more
- 5:51Speaker 2: gas than anybody in the world, fourteen million barrels a day.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Saudi Arabia only produces eight million barrels a day, so
- 5:59Speaker 2: we use about half half the gas we produce. The
- 6:01Speaker 2: other half we sell around the world. We could give
- 6:03Speaker 2: California all the gas they need, but they never allowed
- 6:06Speaker 2: the pipelines to be built to get it there, and
- 6:09Speaker 2: as far as their own refineries and facilities, because they're
- 6:14Speaker 2: all there green nonsense, they shut them down years ago,
- 6:17Speaker 2: so they decided to outsource. Sounds kind of crazy. You
- 6:21Speaker 2: got your own gas and oil, which you could easily
- 6:23Speaker 2: get out of the ground, why would you want to
- 6:26Speaker 2: go all over the world and pay a fortune for
- 6:28Speaker 2: the shipping. But because of these slow permitting all their
- 6:33Speaker 2: green nonsense, they don't have most of their refineries working,
- 6:37Speaker 2: so they're having a huge gas shortage. That's driving the
- 6:39Speaker 2: price up too, and it's getting to the point where
- 6:43Speaker 2: they're gonna have a problem in a few weeks. It
- 6:45Speaker 2: could actually actually run out of oil because when I
- 6:47Speaker 2: say they were importing, they were reporting from places that
- 6:51Speaker 2: are the places they were importing for can't get their
- 6:53Speaker 2: gas anymore. So it's going to be a bit of
- 6:56Speaker 2: a mess. President Trump on Iran.
- 6:59Speaker 1: They have no name, they have no air force, they
- 7:02Speaker 1: have no anti aircraft equipment, they have no radar, they
- 7:06Speaker 1: have no nothing, they have no leaders.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Actually, yeah, it's a mess. I mean, they've got a
- 7:10Speaker 2: few little those what they call them. They call them
- 7:13Speaker 2: mosquito boats because they're little and They just annoying and
- 7:16Speaker 2: they don't do much damage. Secretary Scott Bessen.
- 7:19Speaker 1: We have absolute control of the strait. We have blockaded
- 7:22Speaker 1: the ship going into or out of Iranian ports. Their
- 7:26Speaker 1: economy is in free fall. And everyone says they have
- 7:30Speaker 1: the high tolerance for paying well, their soldiers will not
- 7:34Speaker 1: have a high tolerance for not getting paid.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the other problem. They're totally with the straighth
- 7:38Speaker 2: hor moves shut. There's no revenue. This is a weeks now,
- 7:42Speaker 2: seven weeks of no revenue coming into Iran. It's just
- 7:45Speaker 2: a matter of a couple of weeks before they totally
- 7:47Speaker 2: run out of money. Nobody can pay for anything there.
- 7:51Speaker 2: They can't make their payroll. So it's going to be
- 7:53Speaker 2: a disaster for them. Hey, when I say that they
- 7:56Speaker 2: sent those little mosquito boats out off the coast hit
- 8:00Speaker 2: the ships that were coming, it was six of them. Now,
- 8:04Speaker 2: what's significant is it used to always be twenty or
- 8:07Speaker 2: thirty of them, sometimes forty. It was always twenty or
- 8:10Speaker 2: thirty when they did that, or sometimes forty. This time
- 8:13Speaker 2: it was only six, So that tells you how depleted
- 8:17Speaker 2: they are. Oh hey, let's get to the met gala.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Last night. What an event. Oh jeez, it was. Now
- 8:25Speaker 2: the MET Gala through the years has changed a lot.
- 8:29Speaker 2: It used to be the most elegant, formal, unbelievable ball
- 8:36Speaker 2: you ever saw. It been going on since nineteen forty eight,
- 8:41Speaker 2: and back in the eighties and nineties. I think that
- 8:43Speaker 2: was really the peak. It was so I used to
- 8:45Speaker 2: go to that all the time. It was all you
- 8:47Speaker 2: would know everybody in the room. They were all famous names.
- 8:51Speaker 2: If you went now, I mean, you'd recognize Beyonce and
- 8:54Speaker 2: but half the names you wouldn't know who the hell
- 8:56Speaker 2: they are. And the costumes. It's just really like a
- 8:59Speaker 2: trick or treat galla. It's like Halloween. It's just outrageous,
- 9:03Speaker 2: crazy stuff. It's all music stars, but it's not the
- 9:07Speaker 2: old Met Gala. For all those years, he'd go and
- 9:11Speaker 2: there would be Jackie Kennedy, had be William F. Buckley,
- 9:14Speaker 2: who would be Henry Cravis and Henry Kissinger and Barbara Walters.
- 9:18Speaker 2: It was that type of thing, all tuxedos and every
- 9:21Speaker 2: women just wore gowns. Elegant, beautiful gowns, but not crazy
- 9:24Speaker 2: ridiculous get ups. It used to be years ago. It
- 9:28Speaker 2: started nineteen forty eight. It was in the Waldorf for years.
- 9:31Speaker 2: It was in the Rainbow Room. A couple of years
- 9:33Speaker 2: it was Diana riland remember the great Diana Veeland. She
- 9:36Speaker 2: took over in nineteen seventy two, and then it was
- 9:41Speaker 2: just the classiest, most elegant thing, you know. And through
- 9:44Speaker 2: the years they had other chairs like Jackie o' nassas
- 9:46Speaker 2: with his chair and William F. Buckley's wife, Pat Buckley,
- 9:50Speaker 2: who was one of the real society women, one of
- 9:53Speaker 2: the real top you know, old school society women. She
- 9:57Speaker 2: was the chairman of it for about twenty years, and
- 10:01Speaker 2: then Anna wind Tower took over and everything changed, It
- 10:04Speaker 2: really changed. She started just inviting, you know, like all
- 10:09Speaker 2: of a sudden, it was Andy Warhol and Bianca Jagger
- 10:11Speaker 2: and Elton John and Liza Minelle. Okay, that was okay,
- 10:14Speaker 2: but back then you knew who they were. Everybody knew
- 10:17Speaker 2: who they were. And then I think the problem is
- 10:22Speaker 2: with all these great elegant society people, they're all dead,
- 10:25Speaker 2: and all the big business billionaires on it, they're all
- 10:28Speaker 2: ninety eight years old. They're not going to this, So
- 10:30Speaker 2: you can't blame Anna win Tower. She kind of veered
- 10:33Speaker 2: off into hip hop and rappers and crazy music stars
- 10:38Speaker 2: and Kardashians and that kind of stuff. It's not what
- 10:41Speaker 2: you really want, but but that's all you had left.
- 10:45Speaker 2: And it was smart financially. You know, they set a
- 10:48Speaker 2: record last night. They brought in forty two million in
- 10:50Speaker 2: one night. You know, it used to be five hundred
- 10:53Speaker 2: for a ticket, one thousand for a ticket, twenty five
- 10:56Speaker 2: fifty thousand for a table. Now it's one hundred thousand
- 10:59Speaker 2: for a ticket. Tables start at three hundred and fifty thousand,
- 11:04Speaker 2: and these people pay it. So it may not be
- 11:08Speaker 2: the most elegant crowd in the world, but you're gonna
- 11:10Speaker 2: make a lot of money off them. Share was there
- 11:13Speaker 2: last night, one of the few people you'd actually recognized,
- 11:16Speaker 2: but it's one of the few from the old days.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Madonna was there from them back in the nineties, and
- 11:24Speaker 2: they have all these crazy things there. You come up
- 11:26Speaker 2: the stairs and there's Anna Wintower to greet everybody. Everybody
- 11:30Speaker 2: comes up the stairs, there she is. You stop and
- 11:33Speaker 2: you say hello or you talk. You're allowed twenty seconds.
- 11:36Speaker 2: And they're very very firm about this. When you stop
- 11:39Speaker 2: to talk to it, you have twenty seconds and that's it.
- 11:42Speaker 2: And if it's at twenty seconds, somebody will slap you
- 11:46Speaker 2: in the back and move you on. You're not allowed
- 11:49Speaker 2: to sit with your partner, which is terrible. A lot
- 11:51Speaker 2: people hate when they do their husband and wife. They
- 11:53Speaker 2: separate you. If you're there with a date, you have
- 11:55Speaker 2: to sit at separate tables. It's kind of silly, but
- 11:59Speaker 2: that's what they do. The food is very good, but
- 12:02Speaker 2: there's no garlic or onions allowed in the kitchen. No
- 12:06Speaker 2: garlic and onions anywhere in the food. That's because Anna
- 12:09Speaker 2: Winterwer doesn't want anybody to have a breath problem. Also,
- 12:13Speaker 2: they're not allowed to use parsley or chives. No parsley
- 12:17Speaker 2: or chives because she says they could stick in your teeth.
- 12:21Speaker 2: You don't want anything sticking teeth. This is how seriously
- 12:25Speaker 2: they take themselves. Now you see all these celebrities come in,
- 12:29Speaker 2: the car pulls up, they get out, or they the
- 12:31Speaker 2: next one comes up there. How do they work that
- 12:33Speaker 2: out so it's not a traffic jam. They're all given
- 12:36Speaker 2: scheduled arrival times. You have to come at exactly your
- 12:41Speaker 2: arrival time. Her time is seven twelve, her time is
- 12:45Speaker 2: seven fourteen. They're all scheduled and you got to be
- 12:48Speaker 2: if you screw up your arrival time, you're never invited back.
- 12:52Speaker 2: There are a lot of people banned from this event
- 12:53Speaker 2: because they did something wrong that Tim Gunn I think
- 12:57Speaker 2: is banned. Donald Trump is banned from the not like
- 13:02Speaker 2: he was going to go, but he's banned from the event.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Oh.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Also you see some of these get ups, like the
- 13:08Speaker 2: Madonna one was this the thing with this the dress
- 13:12Speaker 2: had a train that went for like ten feet behind her,
- 13:14Speaker 2: so she had ten assistants to carry the train. And
- 13:20Speaker 2: then you saw Kardashian had that. I mean it was
- 13:24Speaker 2: the weirdest get up. I mean some of them you're
- 13:27Speaker 2: like in saran wrap, You're like in bubble wrap, you'd
- 13:29Speaker 2: like So they also have what are called bathroom assistance.
- 13:33Speaker 2: There's a bunch of them, because if you're in one
- 13:35Speaker 2: of those get ups, how do you go to the bathroom?
- 13:37Speaker 2: How do you like open it? It's a whole project
- 13:41Speaker 2: to do that. So they have dozens of bathroom assistants
- 13:45Speaker 2: to help these women get out of that costume for
- 13:47Speaker 2: a second. They if they have to. I know, it
- 13:50Speaker 2: sounds insane. Hey, that terrible stabbing in Long Island, two
- 13:55Speaker 2: people stabbed by this illegal this illegal alien his name
- 14:01Speaker 2: is Ronnie Ya. Hear Alva ringa rivera here illegally from
- 14:07Speaker 2: al salvad Or, twenty two years old. He killed his roommate,
- 14:10Speaker 2: then he killed the coworker. Two separate, ugly, vicious stabbing
- 14:14Speaker 2: a Texas an illegal alien here committing this horrible crime. Now,
- 14:20Speaker 2: it was all over the news. If you picked up
- 14:22Speaker 2: the New York Post, it was on the front page.
- 14:24Speaker 2: If you went to a lot of news sites, right
- 14:26Speaker 2: up there in front. It was a big story happened
- 14:28Speaker 2: in Long Island, and the actual official Long Island newspaper,
- 14:33Speaker 2: although nobody reads it anymore, Newsday buried the story. You know,
- 14:37Speaker 2: Newsday is the most liberal, slanted, partisan newspaper. They didn't
- 14:42Speaker 2: want a story about an illegal stabbing anybody. But people
- 14:46Speaker 2: started to notice they weren't covering it, and then all
- 14:48Speaker 2: of a sudden they covered it. But it's buried in there.
- 14:51Speaker 2: If you go to the website, you got to go
- 14:52Speaker 2: to the search bar and type the name of the
- 14:54Speaker 2: guy in. They really did a good job hiding it.
- 14:57Speaker 2: So if you're if you're looking for news, you want
- 14:59Speaker 2: to know what's going on, don't look to news Day. Hey,
- 15:02Speaker 2: we'll take some calls next eight hundred three two one
- 15:06Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number eight hundred three two
- 15:09Speaker 2: one zero seven ten
