- 0:14Welcome to this very special Halloween episode.
- 0:19This spooky, freaky and scary episode of The
- 0:24Psychic Explorer. Muahahahahahaha! Welcome back,
- 0:36everybody. Yes, it is Halloween. It is certainly
- 0:39spooky and I hope you are ready for a spooktacular
- 0:43episode. First of all, I just want to say a massive
- 0:46thank you to everyone who commented on the last
- 0:50episode. Jono was superb and every single comment
- 0:55I got about it was absolutely fantastic. So just
- 0:58want to say a massive thank you very much. And
- 1:01speaking of Jono, as if by magic he has reappeared
- 1:05for today's episode where we discuss your ghost
- 1:10stories. Yes, that is your spooky ghost stories.
- 1:15So let's get into it. Angelo, it's... Angelo,
- 1:18who's Angelo? I mean Jono. You can call me what
- 1:21you like, just be polite. What are you? Jono,
- 1:26thank you so much for coming back and recording
- 1:29this second episode which is going to be a very
- 1:31special one. Thank you so, so much. Thank you
- 1:34for having me. My broomstick has been busy because
- 1:38it is Halloween and, you know, been doing the
- 1:40rounds. Well, I've got my cauldron out and there
- 1:43are some bats hanging about the place. So, you
- 1:45know, we can... Don't call her a bat. She's a
- 1:47lovely lady. My wonderful listeners have sent
- 1:55me some of their very spooky stories. And before
- 1:59we get started, just a massive thank you to everyone
- 2:02who sent me your stories. If they are not featured
- 2:05in this episode, they will be featured in another
- 2:08one later in the year. So don't get on your social
- 2:12media and start accusing me of not using your
- 2:14stories when I beg them from you. But they are
- 2:17coming. These stories have sort of cherry -picked
- 2:20the spookiest ones for today's episode, Jono.
- 2:22So I hope you are ready to be scared out of your
- 2:25pants. I'm going to turn the lights down, man.
- 2:28Oh. Set the ambience. You know what? I wish this
- 2:32was visualized because Jono has obviously got
- 2:35some sort of Philips Hue smart bulb. Yes, I have.
- 2:38How did you guess? He's turned it from this lovely
- 2:41hue of purple to this dark. Oh, now it's red.
- 2:45Oh. It's like a bonfire. I'm just missing a handbag
- 2:54and some high heels now. That's not spooky, that's
- 2:57just a disco. Yeah, he's got a disco going. Blimey,
- 3:01where's your litter bowl? No, but generally,
- 3:07thank you so much to everyone who has sent in
- 3:09their stories. I just think they are... Wonderful,
- 3:12thank you, thank you so much. Jono, you are a
- 3:15paranormal investigator and in our last episode
- 3:17which went out a couple of weeks ago, we were
- 3:20talking about the very spooky stuff that you
- 3:22have come into contact with. So before we get
- 3:25started, Jono, do you have any spooky stories
- 3:29that you would like to share with the dear listeners?
- 3:33I've got one or two, Matt, but I'll just tease
- 3:36you with this little one. So a number of years
- 3:40ago, I was very, very fortunate to investigate
- 3:45a very well -known shopping mall in the Norfolk
- 3:49area and on this particular investigation we
- 3:54separated into various groups. My group went
- 3:59down to the loading bays in the basement of the
- 4:02mall. It was behind a very well -known order
- 4:06by catalogue outlet, the Big A. It felt ominous
- 4:11down in this particular area. We were standing
- 4:14by a lift and we decided that we wanted to do
- 4:18a bit of calling out to see what was there. You
- 4:21know, I said to the facilitator, would it be
- 4:23okay if we did some calling out? He said, yeah,
- 4:25that'll be absolutely fine. So I said, look,
- 4:27it does feel a bit threatening down here. I really
- 4:30recommend that we do some protection. We stood
- 4:34in a circle, we held hands and I started to do
- 4:38protection. So whenever you're doing any kind
- 4:40of paranormal investigation you should always
- 4:42protect yourself because you don't want attacks,
- 4:45you don't want people following you home. So
- 4:47I started doing the protection and all of a sudden
- 4:55an unknown force shoved me. and it shoved me
- 5:04so hard, I actually came out of the circle. Obviously
- 5:08we were just standing there, came flying out
- 5:10of the circle, which obviously made us incredibly
- 5:14frightened. It felt really quite threatening.
- 5:18We managed to regroup and then the facilitator
- 5:23started to become quite unwell. To cut a long
- 5:27story short, he then was attacked. by a banshee.
- 5:35This particular banshee was generally only seen
- 5:39at a particular time of year on a particular
- 5:42moon cycle and I later heard that it took them
- 5:47about three or four hours to clear him of this
- 5:51attachment that he'd gotten and he was really
- 5:54unwell. Banshee attacks in a Norfolk shopping
- 6:03mall. Blimey, who would have thought? Now, all
- 6:05right, so I feel like I'm going to go back to
- 6:08the last episode here, but what is Banshee? What
- 6:11is that? Yeah, so a Banshee, I think it goes
- 6:15back to like Irish folklore. So these were like
- 6:19wailing women who I think had lost their husbands,
- 6:24but... If you would imagine a banshee if you
- 6:27if you're psychic and you were seeing this in
- 6:29your mind's eye You would see a smaller lady
- 6:32very kind of shouty screamy I mean in my experience
- 6:39not of good intentions So yeah, it's something
- 6:43that would feel a bit Threatening but probably
- 6:46not of this world probably never been human.
- 6:49I would I would suggest Well, thank you, Jono.
- 6:54Spooky, that's a good one to get the old shivers
- 6:57going, first of all. Right, let's listen to our
- 7:01first story, which has been sent in by Sajid.
- 7:06Here we go. We had a new lady resident that moved
- 7:11into the home that I work in. And being an activities
- 7:15coordinator... I went to introduce myself to
- 7:18her in a room, tell her who I am. I thought I
- 7:21could maybe do a little art session with her,
- 7:24and that way I get to know her and everything.
- 7:26Anyway, I started doing a picture. She said to
- 7:29me, I have never in my life quite met anyone
- 7:32like you. And I said to her, well, I don't think
- 7:35you would. People like me, like Sajid, only come
- 7:38once in a blue moon. And then she said to me,
- 7:42you do know there is a lady standing behind you.
- 7:49And I was like, what lady? And then I turned
- 7:53around, looked behind me, and I don't know what
- 7:57it was, but I just suddenly went into this standstill,
- 8:01like I completely froze. Now, I don't suffer
- 8:04from seizures, but it felt like I was having
- 8:06a seizure. I was just staring really still. I
- 8:09don't know what happened. I just, everything
- 8:11went into a standstill. That lasted about 10
- 8:14seconds. And then suddenly I realized that I'm
- 8:18staring at this woman that's like from the 19th
- 8:21century, like from the 1800s. She had a black
- 8:25scarf around her head. I can't remember what
- 8:28top she was wearing. All I remember was she had
- 8:30a black dress on and a cream colored apron, black
- 8:34boots. She had like a cane that was like a little
- 8:37boat peep cane, like a shepherd's cane, you know,
- 8:41made out of wood, like a walking stick. And then
- 8:45she had one foot forward, one foot back. She
- 8:49didn't look scary. She just looked like one of
- 8:52those typical nostalgic women you see in these,
- 8:56you know, sort of sepia photos. And she just
- 9:00looked very proud, but innocent. But obviously,
- 9:07when I realized this woman is standing in front
- 9:10of me, a few steps away from me, and I realised
- 9:13what I'm looking at. Naturally, obviously, I
- 9:16got scared, then suddenly I was like... And I
- 9:19turned around, like, in a shock. And I felt bad
- 9:23because I screamed out so loudly that my lady
- 9:25resident, I got scared that I might have frightened
- 9:27her. And I was like, oh, I do apologise. I didn't
- 9:30mean to scream like that. My lady resident just
- 9:33looked at me, very chilled out, very cold -blooded,
- 9:37very calm. and just nodded her head forward,
- 9:40as if appearing to say, yes. And then she looked
- 9:46at me again and went, you do know she's still
- 9:49behind you? I was like, oh my god, please, please
- 9:53don't tell me she's still behind me. And I slowly,
- 9:56slowly turned my head back. And then, well, whatever
- 10:00it was, I saw this lady from the past seem to
- 10:02have disappeared. It left me in a shock. And
- 10:08I'm still in shock till today. I finished the
- 10:12session. I said, you know, bye -bye to my lady
- 10:14resident. I said, I'll see you very, very soon.
- 10:17But I came down with my jaw open, and everyone
- 10:20just sort of said to me, Saji, all right. You
- 10:22look like you've gone pale. And I just basically
- 10:24explained, you're not going to believe this,
- 10:27but our lovely new lady resident has just made
- 10:29me see a ghost, a soul of somebody from the past.
- 10:33And the thing is, maybe I might have imagined
- 10:35it, but... I go, no, not like the way I've just
- 10:39experienced this because I went to a standstill
- 10:41and I froze and then suddenly I realised this
- 10:46woman is standing in front of me and everyone
- 10:49actually believed and said, you know what, we
- 10:51would say you're probably telling the truth because
- 10:53this is a very, very old building and apparently
- 10:55other people have claimed to have seen souls
- 10:57walking around. So... Well, yeah. Well, that
- 11:01was it. I mean, I haven't seen this lady ever
- 11:03since. Whoever it was from the 1800s or, you
- 11:07know, whatever period she was from. But that
- 11:08was quite an experience. Quite an experience
- 11:14and what a dramatic performance from Sajid. Thank
- 11:18you so much, Sajid. That was fantastic. Shono,
- 11:23what do you think? Bloody hell, Matt. Oh, very
- 11:27good, very good. For those not in the know. There's
- 11:34a very good podcast called Uncanny, which I have
- 11:39to admit, I've sort of inspired this idea of
- 11:41this episode, but that is a reference. Very good,
- 11:44Jono, well done. What a story. Wasn't it good?
- 11:49It was good. And I'm gonna ask you, psychically,
- 11:52as Sajid is telling us this story, are you seeing
- 11:55this in your mind? Is it playing out as he's
- 11:58telling us that story? Because for me it was.
- 12:01Yeah. And I'm getting from him that that was,
- 12:05I want to say, a farmer's wife. So, yes, there
- 12:10is more information which did come with it. However,
- 12:14I can't say it. Because he works in a care home.
- 12:18I'm not gonna name where this care home is I'm
- 12:21not on air anyway, but yeah from what I understand
- 12:25the area is known For farming is it interesting?
- 12:31Yes, I'm seeing a farmer's wife a working woman,
- 12:35but working for her husband But they kind of
- 12:38he does the majority of the work. She helps him
- 12:41out with this Yeah, that is that is a really
- 12:44really good story Have you ever seen an apparition?
- 12:48I mean, I saw the face of an apparition in the
- 12:53first ghost hunt I did. But since then, the only
- 12:58things I've seen have been psychically. So when
- 13:01we've been ghost hunting, I've seen these things
- 13:03psychically. I've never actually seen a manifestation.
- 13:06Not that I recall anyway. So for him to see that,
- 13:09I mean, I'm jealous, quite frankly, because that's
- 13:12what we all want to see. We want to see... you
- 13:14know, that physical with our own eyes, don't
- 13:17we? Yeah. I thought that what was really interesting
- 13:20about Sajid's story was that somebody else seemed
- 13:24to be the conduit for him to be able to see this
- 13:27apparition. Like this woman, his resident he
- 13:30was talking to, told him that it was behind him
- 13:34and he turned around and had this moment and
- 13:38yeah, I had this experience. I wonder, have you...
- 13:41How common is that, that someone else is a conduit
- 13:44for someone else's experience? I would say that
- 13:50his resident was probably very sensitive herself,
- 13:57but also I wonder if maybe she was somebody that
- 14:01had been suffering with... maybe dementia or
- 14:05something like that and though although maybe
- 14:07not sort of full of her normal what we would
- 14:10know faculties if that's the right right word
- 14:13she's probably more connected with the spirit
- 14:16world and because she's able to see this woman
- 14:21I mean at the end of the day if this lady if
- 14:23this farmer's wife lady wants to be seen she'll
- 14:27make it known And that's why I think he mentioned
- 14:32that he was, you know, in a standstill. It's
- 14:35almost like a fright, isn't it? She's kind of
- 14:38frightened him, and that's kind of what's made
- 14:41him pause and in shock, maybe. I would want to
- 14:46ask him, though, a bit more about that. So as
- 14:49a paranormal investigator, it's great that we've
- 14:52got this first -hand account of seeing an apparition.
- 14:58But I'd want to know what else did he feel? Did
- 15:02the temperature of the room change? Was there
- 15:04anybody else there that witnessed this? Has he
- 15:08seen it since? Has anybody else reported this
- 15:11particular lady? So I'd have a few questions
- 15:14for him. But on the face of it, I would say,
- 15:17yeah, I believe him because psychically I'm tuning
- 15:19into that energy and I'm seeing, I believe, what
- 15:24he experienced. Okay, are you ready for story
- 15:30number two? This one comes in from Kerry. It
- 15:37happened in my family home. We had just bought
- 15:41it. This is back in 2000. And it was an old,
- 15:47old, old, old, old, old house. It was converted
- 15:49to stables. So the manor house was next to it,
- 15:53which is now turned into flats. And the stables
- 15:57have been turned into a house, which was now
- 15:58our house. So it had been lived in by the previous
- 16:02occupiers for a very, very, very long time. So
- 16:06when we moved in, it was... in massive, massive
- 16:10need of a massive facelift. So my parents obviously
- 16:12got to work with sort of changing bits up and
- 16:15making things better. So anyway, their bedroom
- 16:19was on the ground floor and it's a bit of a weird
- 16:23building. Where their bedroom was, there was
- 16:26like a loft above it, which is where the dove
- 16:29cot is and this big clock. To get into this loft,
- 16:36It's quite tricky. You have to push this piece
- 16:39of wood up and over, and then you have to pull
- 16:43this lever to get the stairs to come down. So
- 16:46it's not something that could just happen. And
- 16:49that's the most important part of the story.
- 16:51To get in there is bloody difficult. It's really
- 16:54difficult with the hatch and everything else.
- 16:58Q, middle of the night, she slept on the left
- 17:01-hand side of the bed, which was just basically...
- 17:04below this hatch, and my dad slept on the right
- 17:07-hand side of the bed. And in the middle of the
- 17:09night, suddenly, without warning, the ladder
- 17:15from the loft came steaming down and basically
- 17:19nearly impaled my mum. There is literally no
- 17:23way that this can be explained away. My dad obviously
- 17:27will try to, and both of them are quite like,
- 17:30no, these things don't exist. After that then
- 17:34happened, doors were slamming all the time. So
- 17:37my friends used to call it the ghost house, because
- 17:39you'd walk along the corridor and literally the
- 17:41door was just slamming your face. And again,
- 17:44it's not like the wind did it or anything like
- 17:45that. It would slam, slam in your face. My brother
- 17:51was four years younger than I am. And we moved
- 17:53there when I was nine. And he used to talk to
- 17:56something. And he also got really, really weird
- 17:59dreams when we moved there as well. My mom attributes
- 18:03that to the twin towers. He used to get nightmares,
- 18:06but I don't think so. I think there was something
- 18:08weird going on. I'm like, I would literally,
- 18:12I'd hear like a scream and I'd run to his room
- 18:14and he'd like sit up and start speaking in tongues,
- 18:17very exorcist style. It was really, really freaky.
- 18:21These weird things kept on happening for quite
- 18:23some time until the renovations in the house
- 18:26were done. But the house has been very quiet
- 18:29in the last, I don't know, 15 years or so. I
- 18:32think whoever or whatever was not very happy
- 18:36kind of made peace with us being there. What
- 18:40do you think? That is... speechless, really.
- 18:45So my thought on this is that obviously it's
- 18:50physically having whatever this ladder has shot
- 18:54down... almost impaled Kerry's poor mum in the
- 18:58middle of the night. But the way that Kerry described
- 19:02it, this loft ladder had to be physically manoeuvred
- 19:06and unlatched in order for it to come down. That
- 19:12is a physical mechanism. If there's anything
- 19:15like a loft ladder in my loft hatch, you've got
- 19:19to pull it down. It doesn't just come down, it's
- 19:22going to come down with some force. Ever heard
- 19:24of something like that? No, but I mean, I mean,
- 19:27that's a good example of poltergeist activity.
- 19:33We've got doors slamming in your face. We've
- 19:36got the loft ladder being, you know, pulled down,
- 19:41but also in a threatening way, isn't it? These
- 19:44are threatening behaviors, I would suggest, in
- 19:48that, you know, the ladder nearly impales her
- 19:53mum. the doors slamming in the face. I don't
- 19:57know about you, I'm picking up on three spirits
- 20:01here. So I want to say that there's two parts
- 20:07to this. So in the loft space, I'm picking up
- 20:11on adolescent males. And I'd say one is older
- 20:14than the other, but certainly probably in terms
- 20:19of age, again, difficult to place. 14 and 19
- 20:24something like that and I think it's them that
- 20:28have been playing again it feels like a kind
- 20:31of a farming kind of vibe to this or certainly
- 20:36working of the land I wanted to say with that
- 20:38one with this door with these doors slamming
- 20:42that to me is I want to say a male energy but
- 20:48it feels a little bit sinister The fact that
- 20:50her brother was talking in tongues is a bit spooky,
- 20:55if you ask me. But I feel as if that's more linking
- 20:59in to this other sinister male energy. What are
- 21:03your thoughts on that? So you're tapping into
- 21:07it. I don't think that's how I work. I love this
- 21:13because we're sat here where we are in our respective
- 21:18homes. and you're able to tap into energy. For
- 21:22me, I can see it in my mind's eye. I can see
- 21:26it all playing out. But I am seeing it more from
- 21:30the point of view of Kerry and more from the
- 21:32point of view of an adolescent being scared.
- 21:37I'm not necessarily tapping into the energies
- 21:39per se. Because the doors that I'm seeing with
- 21:44this place are... I might be completely wrong
- 21:47here, but they feel as if they would be like
- 21:49the traditional old, almost like you have like
- 21:52those kind of, it's like a tongue and groove
- 21:54and then you've got like a big bar across the
- 21:56top and then a diagonal one that comes across.
- 22:00Latch and brace doors, latch and brace. Exactly
- 22:03that, yes, with like a latch that... moves up
- 22:05and down like the black iron and I'm knocking
- 22:08by the way because that's what I've got in my
- 22:09cottage is it ah yeah because that's what I see
- 22:12with this property I don't know whether whether
- 22:14that's right but it's that's what I would associate
- 22:17with this so that's a really interesting story
- 22:21but interesting though that once the renovation
- 22:24stopped So did the activity. You get this a lot
- 22:28don't you with paranormal activity whereby if
- 22:31you're doing any kind of renovation that upsets
- 22:34the equilibrium of the home, of the space, it
- 22:38causes upset or angst with the former custodians
- 22:45of that property. That's exactly what I was going
- 22:48to say. If anyone who watches Uncanny will know,
- 22:52has listened to Uncanny, will know that renovations
- 22:54do tend to prompt more paranormal activity. Now
- 22:59Kieran O 'Keefe, the resident sceptic on Uncanny,
- 23:02will blame it on mould. He'll blame it on mould,
- 23:06he'll blame it on... inflation, he'll blame it
- 23:11on, you know, feces in the water, anything other
- 23:15than paranormal. Either one's got evidence there,
- 23:20still won't, no. Okay, I wonder what Kerry thinks
- 23:23of that, I wonder what, if Kerry could... let
- 23:26me know what she thinks of Jono's diagnosis of
- 23:30a poltergeist, whether that changes things. But
- 23:32yeah, interesting. But what she doesn't mention
- 23:34in her story is whether or not her... Well, she
- 23:40didn't go into too much detail about... How often?
- 23:43Did it happen at a certain time of day? Did it
- 23:46happen at a certain temperature? You know, what
- 23:49was the weather like when this was happening?
- 23:51Who else? Did anybody outside of the family,
- 23:54did friends also experience these things whilst
- 23:57they were there or was it only in the middle
- 23:59of the night when everybody was in bed? So...
- 24:01Well, no, she did say friends said that it was
- 24:03a ghost house because... doors were closed and
- 24:07stamped. Of course. But did they witness it or
- 24:10is it just because of what the family have told
- 24:13her or told them? See, this is good. You're not
- 24:17just saying, yes, it definitely is. There could
- 24:19be other alternatives. There could be other options.
- 24:22We just don't know, I suppose, do we? I'll let
- 24:24you into a little story here. So a couple of
- 24:27years ago, I was invited to go on a public event,
- 24:32paranormal investigation. and I paid my money
- 24:36went along to this location because I was interested
- 24:39really just to see how other groups investigate
- 24:42you know and we went along to this location I'll
- 24:46be honest with you I wasn't feeling really anything
- 24:49in this building so I was surprised that they
- 24:52were investigating it and during the investigation
- 24:56there was a chap that was walking around taking
- 24:59photographs Now in this particular building,
- 25:03the architraves were painted in very high gloss
- 25:07paint. The gentleman was going around saying,
- 25:09look at this, look at this spirit mist that I've
- 25:13got. I've got these orbs, I've got this mist,
- 25:15et cetera, et cetera. Everybody was agreeing.
- 25:18Came round to me and I was like... you do realise
- 25:21that is just a reflection of the flash in the
- 25:25archidrave. So go and take a photograph of another
- 25:28one, and he did, and exactly that. Most of these
- 25:33things can be explained away and we need to test
- 25:35those things. We can't just accept that it's
- 25:37paranormal when it might not be. What's the point?
- 25:40You're setting yourself up for a failure without
- 25:42really testing. You want to be producing reliable
- 25:47results. Absolutely, I couldn't agree more. But
- 25:53let's take a break from these spooky stories
- 25:55at the moment. We've got three more on the other
- 25:57side, so join us in a moment. So in true uncanny
- 26:12style, are you team believer or are you team
- 26:15skeptic? Let me know. You can find me at Instagram,
- 26:19threads, Facebook, TikTok at the .psychic .explorer.
- 26:23I'd love to hear your explanations for these
- 26:26stories, whether they be psychic, paranormal,
- 26:29or do you think you have an explanation for these
- 26:32spooky going on? Let me know. Are you ready to
- 26:46return to more tales of intrigue, more tales
- 26:50of terror? Let's get back to your stories. Welcome
- 26:57back to this very special episode of The Psychic
- 27:01Explorer, where myself and Jono Angelo are listening
- 27:05to your spooky stories for this Halloween. How
- 27:10are you finding it so far, Jono? Are you enjoying
- 27:12the stories that have come through? I'll be honest
- 27:14with you, Matt. I'm scared. I've locked the doors,
- 27:19the windows are closed, I'm under my duvet. Where's
- 27:23your broomstick? Where's my broomstick? It's
- 27:26resting. Good, okay. Next to the cauldron. Well,
- 27:30make sure you have it, just for some protection.
- 27:33This next story is from Charlie. Now, I'll let
- 27:37you in on a little secret here. Charlie is actually
- 27:39my cousin, so this is actually someone that I
- 27:42know. She's going to talk about two properties.
- 27:45The first property is her family home in London,
- 27:49where I have been to many a time, spent many
- 27:53a new year and celebrations there. The second
- 27:56is their family home in France. I've also been
- 28:00there, spent many a restful week there. So any
- 28:04questions I hopefully will be able to answer.
- 28:07Let's listen to Charlie's story. I've always
- 28:20been a huge believer in supernatural and I had
- 28:24a couple of experiences myself growing up and
- 28:28as a teenager. First story was in London and
- 28:36the back bedroom of the house in London was always
- 28:39a bit creepy and we would never want to walk.
- 28:43past the door on the landing so we'd always swing
- 28:46around the banister, me and my brother, so that
- 28:48we could get down the stairs without having to
- 28:50go past that bit of landing. They just gave us
- 28:52the creeps and that became my bedroom when me
- 28:56and Dom stopped sharing and for a few weeks I
- 29:01can just remember I would lie in bed and suddenly
- 29:04feel absolutely terrified and know that there
- 29:08was someone behind me. and I would never ever
- 29:16ever want to roll over and look because I'd be
- 29:18so scared I'd just get complete goosebumps and
- 29:21freeze up in the bed and for some reason I just
- 29:24knew it was a woman brushing her hair and I never
- 29:28saw anything or heard anything but I'd get that
- 29:31same feeling every night just a frozen feeling
- 29:34and I'd know someone was there brushing their
- 29:36hair and it would really creep me out. and then
- 29:43in that room as well I used to listen to Harry
- 29:46Potter story tapes every night to get to sleep
- 29:49and every night you'd put it on and then at a
- 29:51certain point it was a cassette tape it would
- 29:54just click and it would stop and you'd press
- 29:57play and then it would stop and you'd press play
- 29:59and it would stop. We got a new player and then
- 30:04the same thing kept happening and then eventually
- 30:06we changed to CDs and on that player it would
- 30:09stop as well. And as I got older after a few
- 30:13years it just all seemed to calm down and that
- 30:16room no longer felt scary but about five, six
- 30:21years ago maybe my cousin and his girlfriend
- 30:24stayed in that house and she's very sensitive
- 30:27to like poltergeist and stuff than she had experienced
- 30:30when she was a kid and we were sat in the living
- 30:32room and she said to me I'm just gonna have to
- 30:35go upstairs and close the door on that bedroom
- 30:38because that door is open a fraction and it's
- 30:40giving me the heebie -jeebies and I can just
- 30:43feel some energy coming down the stair from that
- 30:46bedroom and I really don't like it. And she went
- 30:49up and had to close the door. But none of us
- 30:52really know why or what happened or the history
- 30:55of that house. The second story was in France.
- 31:02Me and Dom used to hear feet running up and down
- 31:04the stairs, like in clogs. And one night we both
- 31:07woke up in the night and we thought our parents
- 31:08were having a party downstairs. We could sort
- 31:10of hear bar sounds and chatting and drinks. We
- 31:21went down and there was no one there. And everyone
- 31:26was in bed. and then one evening everyone went
- 31:33out for a fireworks display and I stayed at home
- 31:36and I was lying in bed reading and just all of
- 31:39a sudden out of nowhere I felt a really big rough
- 31:42hand sweep across my face and sort of tuck my
- 31:46hair behind my ear and I could feel all the calluses
- 31:49on the fingers and could just feel every bit
- 31:51of this hand on my face and I was terrified.
- 31:55I screamed, I ran out the house and I sat in
- 31:58the pouring rain. staring at all the windows
- 32:01to see if I could see anything until my parents
- 32:03got back about an hour later and they just found
- 32:06me soaked, sat outside. Okay, thank you so much
- 32:21Charlie for sharing your stories. I love that
- 32:25because I can so relate. I know exactly where
- 32:27she is when she talks about these things in both
- 32:30the London house and the France house. There's
- 32:33a lot to unpack there, isn't there? I mean, if
- 32:36we think about the London house, that back bedroom...
- 32:44I mean, to me, if I'm linking it in... It almost
- 32:51feels as if... This is a motherly figure. This
- 32:56lady, I don't know if she was able to see this
- 33:00lady, but I get like this grey hair, almost grey
- 33:05wiry hair actually with this lady. And the reason
- 33:09why the tape player or the Harry Potter keeps
- 33:12stopping is because it's your bedtime. You're
- 33:15not listening to it anymore. Go to bed, go to
- 33:17sleep. That's the feeling that I'm getting with
- 33:19this. So it's like a protection from her. and
- 33:23I would also, probably she might have felt like
- 33:26a grandmother as well, so maybe she was in that
- 33:31sort of an age bracket, but I sort of feel as
- 33:34if it would have been somebody that passed in
- 33:36the house previously. Interesting though, did
- 33:39she say it was a cousin that came to stay over?
- 33:42A cousin and his girlfriend. I also feel as if
- 33:51in that room there was some sort of portal or
- 33:55some sort of doorway to the spirit world which
- 33:58is possibly why it felt quite cold in there.
- 34:03It's interesting isn't it that she was able to
- 34:06feel that vibration coming from that room and
- 34:10so much so that she had to go up and close the
- 34:12door. Often from my experience if you have got
- 34:15a doorway between worlds, it can cause the temperature
- 34:20to be different. You can feel the fluctuations.
- 34:23It can also feel a bit heavy. So, yeah, that
- 34:27room feels cold to me. I've slept in that room.
- 34:30I have to admit, I'm probably a bit too drunk
- 34:32to notice anything. When I was staying in there.
- 34:37But what I found really lovely about this is
- 34:40that she knew she was rough brushing her hair.
- 34:42And I think that's really interesting that...
- 34:45Whereas you are clear cognizant, Jono, you know
- 34:49things. She didn't see it. She didn't feel it.
- 34:52She just knew this person was there brushing
- 34:56her hair. So maybe she's clear cognizant as well.
- 35:00What about the France house? Yeah, so France.
- 35:05I mean, can you imagine laying in bed and a calloused
- 35:09hand goes across your face? Terrifying. Terrifying.
- 35:12I would absolutely keep it clean. I would be
- 35:15very scared. But I don't know what to say really
- 35:18about that calloused hand other than that it
- 35:20feels like a heavyset man. Again that feels a
- 35:24bit sinister. I wonder if Charlie is a bit sensitive
- 35:28to spirit and you know when you are somebody
- 35:33who is psychic or has some sort of sensitivity
- 35:37you can be seen as almost like a lighthouse in
- 35:41the mist. You know, you're like a beacon to them
- 35:45and they, you know, they can be attract to those
- 35:49types of people because they're like, you can
- 35:51feel me, you can see me. So I wonder if that's
- 35:53why she's had, you know, experienced quite a
- 35:56bit of activity. But yeah, to me that feels like
- 35:58a heavy set chap, laborer, I would say. But it
- 36:04feels like that place used to be a pub or a village
- 36:06bar or that sort of a feel to... I don't obviously
- 36:09know what the building looks like in France.
- 36:13Do you know any history of it? I do know the
- 36:15history of it. It's not a bar, it's not a pub.
- 36:18It's far too remote to be anything like that.
- 36:21Directly behind the property there is an old,
- 36:25I think it was even Benedictine monastery. I
- 36:28think the house goes back like four, maybe even
- 36:30500 years. And... There used to be the bishop
- 36:34that came when he came to visit he would stay
- 36:37in that house and there's even In the kitchen
- 36:41of the house. There is like an arrow slot window
- 36:44it's very narrow, but very tall and When the
- 36:48plague had hit the area in the Middle Ages the
- 36:51priest or the bishop would be in the house And
- 36:53he would do blessings through that arrow slot
- 36:56window to bless and to give communion to the
- 37:01local people who lived on the land through that
- 37:04window when there were plague. I mean, I'm still
- 37:06guessing that that place was a place where people
- 37:10gathered and drank alcohol and celebrated. Possibly.
- 37:14I mean, it's got a very long history. That's
- 37:16really interesting. What I will say is that as
- 37:20far as the sounds of the bar and there being
- 37:23a party downstairs, I also lived in France for
- 37:27a bit and not at this house, somewhere else,
- 37:30a completely different part of the country. And
- 37:34we lived in this very old farmhouse. It was this
- 37:37very ramshackle place. We were literally camping
- 37:40in it. And when my mum came to visit us, she
- 37:43walked in and she looked at the fireplace and
- 37:46she said, you know, you've got a man here. I
- 37:49said, what do you mean you've got a man here?
- 37:50This is before any of this opened up for me.
- 37:54And she says, you've got a man sat in the corner
- 37:56and he's just watching and he's just seeing how
- 37:58things are and just keeping an eye on things.
- 38:01He says, okay, fine, whatever. But throughout
- 38:05our time there, we would, because the house wasn't
- 38:09really habitable, so we would live in a caravan
- 38:11outside. He would walk in and I'd be cooking
- 38:15or something and I could swear I could hear the
- 38:18distant tinkling of music. or like a party and
- 38:22it's just literally just this sort of real faint
- 38:26sound of an old record player and people talking
- 38:29in the distance so when she said when shardy
- 38:32said that about the house in france i thought
- 38:33um i've heard that i've heard that too let's
- 38:37move on to the fourth story and this is from
- 38:41someone that we both know very well let's have
- 38:44a listen When I was about five, we moved to a
- 38:53very old house. It had no heating system in it.
- 38:58It had all the old maid spells around the place
- 39:02and lots of fireplaces. And I remember going
- 39:06to my room and when the curtains were put up,
- 39:09because they're the old sash windows, in the
- 39:11night the curtains would blow up. And I'd lie
- 39:14there, sort of just my little eyes peeking out
- 39:16of the top of my duvet. Over the years, they
- 39:22spent some time doing it up, but there was the
- 39:26cellars and the attic as those old houses did
- 39:29have. I'm one of four siblings and my parents
- 39:35decided it'd be a good place for all of us to
- 39:39do some of the rooms up in the attic. They could
- 39:41be our playrooms as such. Went up there and we
- 39:44tried to open one. It was all sort of barred
- 39:47up and we had to get a chap in to open it. And
- 39:50in that room, because these would have all been
- 39:53maid's rooms, in that room was still an old metal
- 39:57single bed and an old dilapidated wardrobe. And
- 40:01as we looked in, a rat ran across. The other
- 40:10two rooms weren't too bad. My parents turned
- 40:12one of them into a playroom for me and all my
- 40:15brothers, and in it they put some sort of cushions
- 40:19and a big scale electrics, which we spent hours
- 40:22playing on, each of us with a different coloured
- 40:24car. And I think it was probably good for our
- 40:30parents because we were up in the top of the
- 40:32house not bothering them. Anyway, being a slightly
- 40:35dramatic little girl. I decided that I was going
- 40:41to run away. I don't think there was any particular
- 40:44reason behind it, but I was going to run away.
- 40:47I decided that I would just hide behind the door,
- 40:51the stairway up to the attic rooms. I heard the
- 40:56calls of family. Where's Nicola? Where's Nicola?
- 40:58She's disappeared. She's disappeared. So I could
- 41:00hear them all scattering around. You go and look
- 41:02in the garden. You go here. I'll go there. And
- 41:04as one of my brothers, whose room was next door
- 41:07to the doorway to the attic, saw the doorway
- 41:10slightly open, he closed it shut. And suddenly,
- 41:16there I was in the stairwell. up to the attic,
- 41:20all on my own, with the door locked and shut.
- 41:24And it was very dark. And I stood there and I
- 41:27thought, oh, it's not such a good idea. My little
- 41:29knees started to shake. And as I stood there,
- 41:32I just felt that chill up my back. And I was
- 41:34just hoping at any time the door would open,
- 41:37because these stairs sort of went upwards and
- 41:39then they curved round before you got to the
- 41:41main rooms of the attic. And as I was standing
- 41:45there thinking, oh, wish I hadn't done this,
- 41:47suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned
- 41:52around. It was quite dark. And there was nobody,
- 41:54nobody there at all. Then sort of the light turned
- 41:57on. There was a light up the top of the stairs
- 41:59that once you got there, you could flick on.
- 42:02So I thought, OK, right. I went up there. And
- 42:08all I could hear was, in our playroom, I could
- 42:11hear the cars going round and round on the Scale
- 42:14Electric's track. And as I went in and opened
- 42:23the door, there they were. There was two cars
- 42:26racing around on this track, all on their own,
- 42:30with the sort of hand pieces on the side. And
- 42:34when I looked at one of the big cushions my mother
- 42:36had made, there was an indent on it where obviously
- 42:38like a bottom would have sat. And there was these
- 42:43cars and literally then one just flicked off
- 42:45and somersaulted and landed in the middle of
- 42:48the scare electrics track. At which point I screamed
- 42:53very loudly and stomped around so loudly, ran
- 42:57down the stairs, suddenly the door flung open
- 43:00by one of my other brothers saying, we've got
- 43:02her, she's here. And as I came out, I was telling
- 43:05my story with little whimpers, more likely trying
- 43:09to avoid being told off for playing a silly trick
- 43:11like that. I was trying to tell them all about
- 43:13what had just happened to me and no one believed
- 43:17me. But I did go up many more times. It never
- 43:21happened again. But every time I played scale
- 43:26electrics after that, I always felt, always knew
- 43:30somebody was playing with me. There goes the
- 43:49weasel, indeed. That chills me. Scary house,
- 43:56that. I'm not sure if I should be charmed or
- 43:59terrified by a ghost playing with toys. Again,
- 44:03linking into that energy, what I was seeing were
- 44:07two little boys. Two little boys. Actually, I've
- 44:11just noticed that you're wearing a prison -issue
- 44:14stripy top. Well, I would prefer to call it a
- 44:17Breton French top. These two little boys were
- 44:24wearing a top exactly the same, white and black,
- 44:29horizontal lines, but sitting on the, they're
- 44:34really young though, playing with the Skellex
- 44:38trick and it's like one of them comes down the
- 44:40stairs to tap her on the shoulder and then as
- 44:45As he runs back up the light goes on and then
- 44:49I'll see she then goes up to hear the Or to see
- 44:53this girl extra card going around and round around
- 44:55so Yeah, I mean, it's a long time ago, isn't
- 44:59it? So difficult and you wouldn't really be able
- 45:02to say so Nicola. Did you test the ambient temperature?
- 45:05You know, what was the weather like all of those
- 45:08things and she was five. So pretty young exactly.
- 45:11Yeah So probably about 75 years ago. Oh, she's
- 45:16going to kill you. So for those that don't know,
- 45:19Nicola is the woman that runs the circle that
- 45:22both me and Jono go to. She also appears in episode
- 45:2512 where she talks about circles. But she will
- 45:27have your guts for gutters for that comment,
- 45:29Jono. I know, that's why I like teasing her because
- 45:31she really is a lovely lady. But yeah, I mean,
- 45:36can you imagine as a five -year -old child being
- 45:38locked in that scenario whereby You can't get
- 45:43out. You're in the stairwell of a dark, creepy
- 45:49attic. She knows there's rats up there because
- 45:52one's run across the floor. So I guess that would
- 45:56be a lesson or that was a lesson too. Don't pretend
- 46:00to run away and tell fibs or whatever because
- 46:04that could be the consequence of your actions.
- 46:08Have you ever encountered or heard of a spirit
- 46:11interacting with something as physical as a scale
- 46:15of electrics like that? I know electricity is
- 46:17supposed to draw or supposed to attract entities
- 46:21or things. Have you ever heard of that? I've
- 46:24heard of it. I don't think I've witnessed it
- 46:30myself. Although actually having said that, no
- 46:33it was a couple of years ago actually, I was
- 46:36working from home so this was really close to,
- 46:39must have been close to Covid times maybe, I
- 46:41was working from home and I had to nip to the
- 46:45shops and I hadn't left the house for a couple
- 46:46of days for one reason or another and when I
- 46:50walked back in it felt incredibly heavy, didn't
- 46:54think any more of it. That night went to bed,
- 46:56I was on my own, laying in bed, and as you know,
- 47:00I've got Philips Hue in my home, and the lights
- 47:03in my kitchen were flickering, they were flashing
- 47:08on and off. Now, I thought, okay, maybe it's
- 47:16just like static simmering, but this was like
- 47:19proper, you know, I want your attention kind
- 47:22of flashing. The problem was I'd actually forgotten
- 47:27and left my pint of water in the kitchen So I
- 47:31turned all the lights on from my phone got out
- 47:34of bed In my birthday suit walked into the kitchen
- 47:39and I was like you need to go now because I could
- 47:42obviously feel that there was something here
- 47:45Grab a drink close the door got back into bed
- 47:48well that happened a few times actually and when
- 47:55I had somebody over to help me with it. I think
- 47:57it was Jules actually. It was a girl who'd committed
- 48:03suicide in the 80s and she loved Madonna music.
- 48:08So I think we played a Madonna track for her
- 48:10and we helped her to cross over. But yeah, so
- 48:14personal experience, yeah. playing with the electric,
- 48:17wanting my attention, flickering the lights.
- 48:20But anything else? No, I've not noticed anything
- 48:22else or experienced anything else myself, but
- 48:24I've certainly heard of it. There's still time,
- 48:26there's still time. Okay, I've left the best
- 48:32till last. I have to admit, I've really enjoyed
- 48:35compiling these stories and putting the sound
- 48:37effects to them, so I hope you, dear listeners,
- 48:39have appreciated all my hard work. But this particular
- 48:42one, I have listened to Graham's story Over and
- 48:47over, every time I hear it, it just gives me
- 48:49a chill. Listen to this. Hey, Matt. So here is
- 49:01a spooky story from me that actually happened
- 49:05years ago when I was working in a holiday park.
- 49:11So I worked as a blue coat for Ponton's in Ireland.
- 49:16It was the year 2008. When I started working,
- 49:23previous employees would tell me the story of
- 49:25a little girl that drowned in the swimming pool
- 49:27like in years gone by and that like this believed
- 49:32that like she has been seen and around the park
- 49:35and things like that. I never kind of believed
- 49:38it and I kind of was like, I think they were
- 49:40just trying to like the new employees out but
- 49:42throughout the year of working there little things
- 49:45would happen and it always say like oh that's
- 49:48the little girl like we'd be backstage getting
- 49:50ready for a show and like a prop would just fall
- 49:53off the shelf and stuff like that things would
- 49:57knock over or like the lights would just come
- 50:00on without anyone after powering them up and
- 50:02stuff like that and it always used the excuse
- 50:04of oh that's the little girl So it kind of like
- 50:08played on my mind over time, but there was one
- 50:10particular day and it was actually coming up
- 50:12to Halloween and myself and one of the other
- 50:16Bluecoat entertainers, we had just finished a
- 50:20daytime activity and after the activity we'd
- 50:23clear the room and we'd like clear up all the
- 50:27stuff we use in that activity and we'd lock all
- 50:29the doors in the venue. And that particular day
- 50:34we had an hour until our next activity. So we
- 50:37said, look, should we go get like a bite to eat
- 50:40and bring it back into the venue and we can sit
- 50:41in the venue and eat it because it was quiet
- 50:43and there was no other people in there. So we
- 50:46went and got our food, came back, locked the
- 50:48door again and sat down. And about 10 minutes
- 50:52into eating, a little girl like literally appeared
- 50:56from under a table with a towel wrapped around
- 50:59her in swimming wear. and we were like both kind
- 51:04of going we locked this venue like 20 minutes
- 51:07ago there should be no one still in and we checked
- 51:09all the toilets and everything before we locked
- 51:11it so we knew the room was empty so we were like
- 51:13how did she get in but As we were saying, like,
- 51:18oh, where are your grown -ups? The girl never
- 51:20spoke to us. She kind of just glanced and glared
- 51:23at us, and was kind of a bit freaky. And the
- 51:26venue was in an L shape, and we were at the top.
- 51:30And the girl just ran, and she was running towards
- 51:32the entrance, which was behind a corridor. So
- 51:36as we were walking down, because we knew the
- 51:38door was locked, so she should be standing at
- 51:41the door, we got to the door and there was no
- 51:43one to be seen. So we walked around the venue
- 51:49again we went to the toilets which were near
- 51:51the main door like there was literally nobody
- 51:53in there so we both of us were kind of freaked
- 51:57out and we were like oh my god what's going on
- 51:59and when we were telling The general manager
- 52:04of the park, what had happened, and we asked
- 52:06to look at CCTV footage because we were a bit
- 52:09concerned, where did this little girl go? And
- 52:11she wasn't familiar. Like, I didn't normally
- 52:14get to know the kids and stuff from, like, the
- 52:16evening entertainment and daytime clubs, and
- 52:18we didn't recognise her. And when we looked at
- 52:22the camera, you just see myself and my other
- 52:25entertainer friend standing, looking at an empty
- 52:29room. and everyone still to this day believes
- 52:36it's the little girl that drowned. Now we don't
- 52:38know did we have this vision in our head where
- 52:41we were we just tired or deluded but to this
- 52:44day we're both still convinced it was a little
- 52:46girl she stared at us she ran and she was nowhere
- 52:49to be seen. So that is the first time I think
- 52:52I've ever experienced seeing either a ghost or
- 52:57something that was a vision of a ghost. Creepy.
- 53:13Isn't it? Isn't that utterly creepy? The Kieran
- 53:18O 'Keefe in me is like the power of suggestion.
- 53:21You've worked there for some time now. Everything
- 53:24that's bizarre is put down to this alleged drowned
- 53:29girl. You know, props being knocked over and
- 53:33lights coming on, all of that. So the power of
- 53:36suggestion is quite strong. But also the believer
- 53:39in me is like, how would you both see that? And
- 53:42that's it. There wasn't just one person there.
- 53:44There's a witness. So the two people have seen
- 53:46exactly the same thing. They've obviously gone
- 53:49to check where this little girl has allegedly
- 53:52ran to or run to. And it's a locked door. There's
- 53:56nowhere for her to have gone. So what other explanation
- 54:00could it be? Interesting that she didn't appear
- 54:03on the CCTV footage. That's what trips me up.
- 54:07It's seen this little girl run across the room
- 54:09to the exit. Not being able to get out because
- 54:12it's locked and looking back on CCTV and just
- 54:16seeing if it was me me and my friend Staring
- 54:19at an empty room knowing that in that moment.
- 54:22I'm seeing something visually I believe not being
- 54:25there on camera that just freaked me out when
- 54:28you watch these program Paranormal activity caught
- 54:31on camera that sort of thing. There's a program
- 54:34I think on discovery plus that is you know people's
- 54:38stories and They sometimes show CCTV footage.
- 54:42One that springs to my mind is a security guard
- 54:45and somebody, the door opens, somebody walks
- 54:48in, he welcomes them in, it's like almost like
- 54:50it's a worker. He talks to them for a little
- 54:53while. The person allegedly walks in, there's
- 54:55nothing on CCTV and then the security guard walks
- 54:59down and there's nobody there and he's obviously
- 55:01freaked out. So yeah, what a story. You said
- 55:05something a moment ago about the power of suggestion,
- 55:08and this brings me to the term priming. So if
- 55:12you've been told already that something is here,
- 55:15this little girl is here, you see things, you
- 55:20hear things, and you start associating it, as
- 55:22you said. And I wanted to do a little experiment
- 55:25with you, if that's all right. Of course. If
- 55:28you're open to a little audio experiment here,
- 55:31and anyone listening can take part in this. I'm
- 55:33going to play you something and I want you to
- 55:37just think of the word green needle, okay? What
- 55:42do you hear when I play you this? I heard green
- 55:51needle or word or something that sounded very
- 55:53similar to that. Okay. I'm going to say the word
- 55:57brainstorm and play this to you. I heard brainstorm,
- 56:10Matt. It's exactly the same piece of audio. I'm
- 56:15going to play it just a couple of times, and
- 56:17each time it loops, tell your brain, either green
- 56:22needle or brainstorm, whatever order you want,
- 56:25and I guarantee you will hear it. I'll let it
- 56:27play three times. See the more I hear that the
- 56:47more I hear brainstorm So did but did you tell
- 56:49yourself that or did you tell did you say no
- 56:52because on the third time? I heard it I was saying
- 56:55to myself green needle and I still heard brainstorm
- 56:58interesting. Okay, but this is the thing isn't
- 57:00it the brain the brain wants to form patterns,
- 57:05it wants to try and understand things. So when
- 57:08we're presented with a photograph of, let's say,
- 57:12a ghost in a window of an old house, but when
- 57:14you really look at it, it's not really, it's
- 57:16just a shadow, it's just the way the light falls.
- 57:18We call that pareidolia. So it's where the brain
- 57:21is trying to make it fit. So over the months
- 57:26or years that Graham, was it Graham? Graham the
- 57:29listener, yeah. Graham had worked as a blue coat
- 57:33at Pontins. It's been kind of put into his mind
- 57:38that there is this ghost, there is this little
- 57:42girl. So the chances are much of what has happened
- 57:47there is possibly coincidence. But you can't
- 57:52explain it to people seeing the same thing Having
- 57:57the same experience. Mm -hmm. I would trust what
- 58:00he's saying There's no need to explain it away.
- 58:04It is what it is the final point is one sort
- 58:07of explore on this one is that Four out of five
- 58:11of these stories and actually if you take Charlie's
- 58:14story As two separate stories then actually five
- 58:18out of six stories happened in old houses. Have
- 58:23you ever come across a new build that's been
- 58:25haunted? Yep, several in fact. Jules and I do
- 58:32a lot of clearance work together so we would
- 58:35be called to attend an alleged haunting somewhere.
- 58:40One that we did very recently. We went to a new
- 58:45build townhouse. In that particular case the
- 58:48little girl was frightened to go to bed because
- 58:53when she got into bed she was seeing an old man
- 58:57in the doorway. The interesting thing is that
- 59:02when Jules came to pick me up before we went
- 59:05to this place, as soon as she picked me up we
- 59:08started talking about what it was that we were
- 59:10going to because I didn't really want to know
- 59:12anything about it. I had blood running down the
- 59:16side of my face, down my cheek. I could feel
- 59:19hot red blood running down my cheek. And when
- 59:24we went to this house, which was only a couple
- 59:26of years old, if that, what I was seeing was
- 59:30a little girl running through a field. I think
- 59:36she was chasing a cat off the top of my head.
- 59:38She was chasing a cat and she ran into the road
- 59:41and got hit by a car. And the father, who was
- 59:46the man, the little girl who really lived in
- 59:48the house, was looking for his little girl, basically.
- 59:54And the girl that lived in the house reminded
- 59:57him she looked like his little girl that had
- 1:00:00died in this accident. when we managed to get
- 1:00:05him to see her, she obviously came forward for
- 1:00:07him, he was then able to cross over. So yeah,
- 1:00:10that house was only a couple of years old, but
- 1:00:12that's something that's happened on the land
- 1:00:14close by. And because the little girl that really
- 1:00:18lived at that house reminded the spirit gentleman
- 1:00:21of his lost daughter, who he obviously wasn't
- 1:00:24able to cross over because he was still looking
- 1:00:26for her, that's what potentially was causing
- 1:00:30that manifestation. Thank you so much, Jono.
- 1:00:35You have been fantastic. I've really enjoyed
- 1:00:38your analysis on these stories. So just thank
- 1:00:40you so, so much. I really appreciate your input
- 1:00:43and your analysis. You're very welcome any time.
- 1:00:47You are the Kieran O 'Keefe to my Evelyn Hollows.
- 1:00:52All right, calm down. Or would you rather be
- 1:00:55the other way around? Right, one question before
- 1:00:59I let you go. Out of all of today's stories,
- 1:01:02you've got Sajid at the care home. You've got
- 1:01:06Charlie at London and in France. You've got Kerry
- 1:01:09with the poltergeist loft ladder. You've got
- 1:01:11Nicola with the skeletonet trips in the loft.
- 1:01:15And you've also got Graham with the drowned girl
- 1:01:18who didn't get caught on CTT. But I don't think
- 1:01:21I miss anyone. Am I missing anyone? I don't think
- 1:01:23so. No, that's it, isn't it? Yeah, I think so.
- 1:01:26Which of those would you want as a spooky bedtime?
- 1:01:29Halloween story I think I would go with Graham
- 1:01:35and that drowned girl yeah that to me that was
- 1:01:39that yeah that was spooky I think you're right
- 1:01:42I think for me that is the spookiest Jono I will
- 1:01:45let you say your goodbyes at this point before
- 1:01:47I witter on to my listeners so thank you so much
- 1:01:50Jono until next time Matthew and a massive thank
- 1:01:54you to everyone who has sent their story in as
- 1:01:57well This episode could not be made without your
- 1:02:00input, so thank you so, so much. If you have
- 1:02:03liked what you have heard today, then you're
- 1:02:05going to love the Winter Solstice episodes in
- 1:02:08December. I said in the last episode that I am
- 1:02:12going on an actual paranormal investigation.
- 1:02:15Jono will be there, and Jono has mentioned his
- 1:02:18friend Jules quite a few times throughout this
- 1:02:21episode in the last one, and she will be the
- 1:02:23one who will be... leading, I guess, this investigation
- 1:02:26which I'll be recording and will have Jules on
- 1:02:29afterwards to see how she felt it went. So I'm
- 1:02:32really looking forward to that and that will
- 1:02:34be coming out in December. There will also be
- 1:02:36more ghost stories as well. You sent in quite
- 1:02:40a few. I'm really grateful for you lovely listeners
- 1:02:42who have sent in your stories. I saved the scary
- 1:02:45ones for today's episode. I hope you've enjoyed
- 1:02:47them. There are also some really lovely stories,
- 1:02:52some not necessarily scary, but encounters which
- 1:02:56sort of show a different side of experiencing
- 1:02:59these ghosty spirits or whatever you want to
- 1:03:03call them. So look forward to that. And don't
- 1:03:06forget, if you have any stories of your own,
- 1:03:08please get in touch. You can find me at the .psychic
- 1:03:11.explorer. Instagram, Facebook, threads and TikTok
- 1:03:15if I dare even start that account. But yes, you
- 1:03:19can find me there. In the meantime, look after
- 1:03:22yourself guys. Lots of love. Take care. Bye.
