- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hello, guys. Welcome to an Almost Famous breaking news episode.
- 0:11Speaker 2: We just heard that Taylor Frankie Paul will not be
- 0:15Speaker 2: coming back to The Secret Lives of Women Wives. She
- 0:18Speaker 2: just announced this on her Instagram this afternoon. Now, is
- 0:22Speaker 2: this official resignation? I don't know if it's official resignation,
- 0:27Speaker 2: but she won't be coming back as of now. because
- 0:31Speaker 2: she has no desire to move forward with Mormon Wives
- 0:35Speaker 2: after shocking cast exit. She's referring to the fact that
- 0:40Speaker 2: her co-star, Michaela Matthews, announced her exit from Mormon Wives
- 0:45Speaker 2: earlier this week, and that her other cast members, Macy
- 0:49Speaker 2: and Layla, have both showed interest in possibly leaving the show.
- 0:56Speaker 2: And then we all know that Whitney... announced that this
- 1:00Speaker 2: past season that aired just a week or two ago
- 1:02Speaker 2: would be her last. So hello, Ben. How are you
- 1:08Speaker 2: feeling about this?
- 1:12Speaker 3: Hi, Ashley. You know, this is interesting.
- 1:17Speaker 4: I think the question is, we've just been talking about
- 1:22Speaker 4: if the Secret Lives of Mormon Wise will continue with
- 1:25Speaker 4: the departure of so many and I guess the rumored
- 1:28Speaker 4: departure of so many of their main cast members. And
- 1:33Speaker 4: if you read through the tea leaves, we kind of
- 1:35Speaker 4: assumed it was because of the controversy surrounding Taylor Frank Paul.
- 1:41Speaker 3: On the show.
- 1:45Speaker 4: My big question is, do you think this brings some
- 1:47Speaker 4: of those people back in?
- 1:49Speaker 2: I guess that is a good question. She's saying she's
- 1:51Speaker 2: leaving because they're leaving, but does that mean now that
- 1:54Speaker 2: if she leaves that they're staying? Because if we all leave,
- 1:58Speaker 2: then the show is basically over. I don't know that
- 2:01Speaker 2: it's the kind of show that is going to go.
- 2:05Speaker 2: It was founded on this thing called Mom Talk, which
- 2:08Speaker 2: is a group of friends or frenemies. And they all
- 2:11Speaker 2: did TikToks together. They were all Mormon. They were all
- 2:14Speaker 2: young moms. And now it seems like no one wants
- 2:17Speaker 2: to be part of the show. So should it be
- 2:19Speaker 2: the end of the show or should it just be
- 2:20Speaker 2: the end of Taylor, Frankie, Paul on the show? We
- 2:24Speaker 2: have got to talk about her statement here because she
- 2:27Speaker 2: blames the cast as to being the reason that she's
- 2:30Speaker 2: not coming back. She says, quote, they're bullying her. Today
- 2:37Speaker 2: we had an interview with Latia Gar, who is close.
- 2:40Speaker 2: You guys should definitely listen to it. It's a good,
- 2:42Speaker 2: juicy interview. But she said that a lot of the girl,
- 2:46Speaker 2: like just the drama behind the scenes of this group
- 2:48Speaker 2: is even worse than the drama that you see on screen.
- 2:51Speaker 2: So perhaps there is something else going on behind the scenes.
- 2:56Speaker 2: But from our understanding, Taylor is saying that her cast
- 3:00Speaker 2: is bullying her because they don't want to film with her. Recently,
- 3:06Speaker 2: Michaela said that because of her Morals and values. She
- 3:11Speaker 2: doesn't want to continue filming a show alongside Taylor. And
- 3:16Speaker 2: now Taylor's saying that this is bullying.
- 3:21Speaker 3: I mean, what do you think, Ashley?
- 3:22Speaker 2: I don't think it's bullying.
- 3:25Speaker 3: How would you describe it?
- 3:27Speaker 4: Like, kind of walk us through from a fan's perspective
- 3:32Speaker 4: when you know the rumors have.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Been out there that the cast... is considering leaving.
- 3:40Speaker 4: That you know they've been publicly criticizing Paul. Now they're filming,
- 3:46Speaker 4: they're getting ready to film a new season. Paul's stepping
- 3:49Speaker 4: away because she feels like, okay, this is the exact quote.
- 3:54Speaker 4: It's a pleasure to remove myself so they can continue
- 3:57Speaker 4: because I've almost convinced myself I'm deserving of all this
- 4:01Speaker 4: pain to a certain degree. Absolutely, this is consequences of
- 4:05Speaker 4: my actions. My question has been, she continues on. My
- 4:09Speaker 4: question has been how much suffering and scrutiny is going
- 4:13Speaker 4: to be enough? I'm just relieved to be out.
- 4:17Speaker 2: It's just how much benefit of the doubt can you
- 4:19Speaker 2: give someone? I feel like I've wanted to support her.
- 4:24Speaker 2: I felt like she was like somebody to be, to
- 4:26Speaker 2: sympathize with. But now I just am like, girl, you,
- 4:31Speaker 2: and I know I haven't been easy on her by
- 4:34Speaker 2: any means, but it's just like, girl, why is it
- 4:36Speaker 2: always everybody's ganging up on you? Like maybe there is
- 4:39Speaker 2: something wrong about how you deal with people because it
- 4:43Speaker 2: can't possibly be that all these people are against, all
- 4:47Speaker 2: these people aren't seeing the truth. Like maybe we step
- 4:51Speaker 2: back and we realize that you're kind of the problem
- 4:57Speaker 2: or you're at least a big portion of the problems.
- 5:00Speaker 2: They're currently wrapping on season six. This show is in
- 5:04Speaker 2: production mode so much. I can't even believe it. So
- 5:09Speaker 2: I guess that this means that the girls are filming
- 5:12Speaker 2: with her currently and they're just saying that they will
- 5:14Speaker 2: not be filming with her again. They're recording their confessionals now.
- 5:19Speaker 2: So it's like the, it's the last chapter of production.
- 5:24Speaker 4: I think we have to look at it from like
- 5:27Speaker 4: two different things, right? One is, the Dakota Tate situation
- 5:34Speaker 4: with the kids.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:35Speaker 4: And I think it gets, I think the reason I'm
- 5:38Speaker 4: hesitant to say it's her fault.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:41Speaker 2: That's where I'm like, I don't know if you're all
- 5:43Speaker 2: the problem.
- 5:43Speaker 4: That's why I'm hesitant to say it's her fault because
- 5:47Speaker 4: I think Dakota is a huge source of the issues
- 5:51Speaker 4: in that scenario.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:55Speaker 4: I think together there are two people struggling to, two
- 6:00Speaker 4: people who are not good for each other and not
- 6:04Speaker 4: really good right now, personally in a relationship. And I,
- 6:10Speaker 4: and so I look at that and it's okay. Separate issue. Um,
- 6:14Speaker 4: I think that's a really tricky situation with two people.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Very, not very good.
- 6:20Speaker 4: When you look at the secret lives of Mormon wives, um, I,
- 6:24Speaker 4: I think there's probably many things going to it. I
- 6:26Speaker 4: would assume that the cast one, uh, was a little
- 6:31Speaker 4: envious of Paul's shot to fame. Then with the bachelor
- 6:35Speaker 4: added to it, they, you know, not only were envious
- 6:39Speaker 4: of that, they were also saying, Hey, this is a
- 6:41Speaker 4: big opportunity for this person, like her or not, if
- 6:43Speaker 4: they're friends with her or not, I don't know behind
- 6:45Speaker 4: the scenes, if they actually are, you're like, this is
- 6:47Speaker 4: a huge opportunity for her. She's going to skyrocket to popularity. Um,
- 6:54Speaker 4: and then it comes crashing down. So then they look
- 6:56Speaker 4: at it and they go, okay, If you're living in
- 6:59Speaker 4: a place of jealousy, you're probably looking at it going.
- 7:01Speaker 3: It's what she deserves. It's what we all thought was
- 7:04Speaker 3: going to happen.
- 7:05Speaker 4: If they're looking at it from less jealousy and more
- 7:08Speaker 4: just almost like a fan's perspective, they're saying, how in
- 7:13Speaker 4: the world could you let this happen, Taylor? Taylor, once again,
- 7:16Speaker 4: you had something handed to you.
- 7:19Speaker 3: And you.
- 7:21Speaker 4: Messed it up. And they maybe said that to her.
- 7:23Speaker 4: You know, I know in this last season they confronted
- 7:25Speaker 4: her on a couple of these topics and she got
- 7:27Speaker 4: defensive and even made the statement at one point, as
- 7:29Speaker 4: we've mentioned, that I'm not going to break up this guy.
- 7:32Speaker 3: I'll have my lawyer do it. And they're going, Taylor,
- 7:34Speaker 3: that's not right. That's crazy.
- 7:37Speaker 4: Just wild and weird and you should be held accountable
- 7:40Speaker 4: for the actions that you've taken and if that's what
- 7:44Speaker 4: taylor's speaking about when she feels like she's being ganged
- 7:46Speaker 4: up on i would say taylor you're not being ganged
- 7:48Speaker 4: up on they're just holding you accountable as the group
- 7:51Speaker 4: closest to you right now and everybody is seeing this
- 7:54Speaker 4: behavior and saying hey it's not good And you're the
- 7:58Speaker 4: one saying, Hey, everybody's getting up on it. No, you,
- 8:01Speaker 4: you know, these are the consequences of actions. If I
- 8:04Speaker 4: hurt a bunch of people in my path forward in life,
- 8:06Speaker 4: people are going to call me out.
- 8:08Speaker 2: And they should. Very well put. Yeah. It's, it's definitely
- 8:11Speaker 2: her having a problem with taking accountability. I'm not saying
- 8:15Speaker 2: they're best friends. They're probably not. And yeah, there's probably
- 8:17Speaker 2: a lot of jealousy. No, there was a bit of
- 8:19Speaker 2: a storyline about jealousy on the show. Um, towards her.
- 8:25Speaker 2: There's always the, is she the founder of mom talk show?
- 8:30Speaker 2: She likes to put it in her bio. I also
- 8:34Speaker 2: feel like the girls need to be grateful toward her
- 8:37Speaker 2: because they probably wouldn't be in the financial situations that
- 8:40Speaker 2: they are today if it weren't for her. Let's read
- 8:45Speaker 2: her actual statement. She says, my gratitude goes to all
- 8:49Speaker 2: the networks that support me through this, which I'm here
- 8:52Speaker 2: for ABC, Hulu, and gave me the chance to return. However,
- 8:57Speaker 2: I don't desire to move forward like this. I originally
- 9:01Speaker 2: was willing to be removed to let them all continue
- 9:05Speaker 2: with less stress, and I'm back at that point. Some
- 9:08Speaker 2: girls know what I've been through, and then to turn
- 9:13Speaker 2: and collectively pile on with their statements, knowing that there
- 9:16Speaker 2: has been ongoing abuse through the system the last eight
- 9:20Speaker 2: months on top. What does that mean? Do you know
- 9:25Speaker 2: what that means? Lead the way of pay? Probably asking
- 9:27Speaker 2: for more money from the show, I'm guessing. My voice
- 9:49Speaker 2: was the only one that can make it happen. And
- 9:52Speaker 2: then they would work from what I demanded. Okay. So
- 9:55Speaker 2: basically she was the one that could ask for pay
- 9:57Speaker 2: raises for everybody. Perhaps.
- 10:00Speaker 4: She's the largest name, so if she fights for something
- 10:04Speaker 4: and puts her foot in the ground, the show will
- 10:07Speaker 4: have to follow.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Okay. I'm grateful I never followed through with their requests
- 10:13Speaker 2: or demands, I think is what she meant. And I'm
- 10:15Speaker 2: grateful I kept the same pay out of fairness and integrity. Oh,
- 10:19Speaker 2: she's saying that she didn't take more than the rest
- 10:21Speaker 2: of the cast.
- 10:23Speaker 3: You're kidding.
- 10:24Speaker 4: We're just getting into like the weeds there of a situation.
- 10:27Speaker 4: I mean, it's, you know, I'm sure she's grateful for
- 10:31Speaker 4: the show. Don't bite the hand that feeds you was
- 10:34Speaker 4: always said to me on my time on television, be
- 10:37Speaker 4: grateful for the opportunity.
- 10:39Speaker 3: And I agree.
- 10:40Speaker 4: I would not have been on TV if it wasn't
- 10:42Speaker 4: for a, like, random casting and a reality television show
- 10:50Speaker 4: that said, hey, we think you could be a fit
- 10:52Speaker 4: for this. And I said, okay, great. And my life
- 10:55Speaker 4: forever changed. That's why I'm always grateful for the opportunity.
- 10:58Speaker 4: It doesn't mean, though, Ashley, within that opportunity that I'm
- 11:03Speaker 4: grateful for and that I want to support, that there
- 11:06Speaker 4: still can't be a level of accountability held towards the
- 11:10Speaker 4: show and to the other contestants. when it comes to
- 11:13Speaker 4: the casting, the storylines, um, who they're bringing in and out,
- 11:17Speaker 4: who they're hiring and not hiring, who they fire. You
- 11:21Speaker 4: can still hold a company accountable and still be grateful
- 11:23Speaker 4: for the opportunity.
- 11:25Speaker 2: I think she is, uh, grateful to the networks and
- 11:28Speaker 2: for the opportunities. She just apparently hates her co-stars.
- 11:31Speaker 4: But at the same time, and I, and I don't
- 11:33Speaker 4: know enough to know the details. I know that she
- 11:35Speaker 4: recently just changed her Instagram within the last few minutes
- 11:38Speaker 4: to say that her assistant's going to.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Be handling it.
- 11:42Speaker 4: Um, I just think there's enough here where when enough
- 11:47Speaker 4: people speak out in concern and also in angst, you
- 11:53Speaker 4: have to start taking notice and saying, okay, how are
- 11:55Speaker 4: my behaviors affecting the people around me? I gave her
- 11:59Speaker 4: the benefit of the doubt for a long time until
- 12:01Speaker 4: we saw this season and we see the way that
- 12:03Speaker 4: she handled the bachelorette relationship and said, hey, not really
- 12:07Speaker 4: a thing. It makes me think she's not taking any
- 12:09Speaker 4: of this seriously. She doesn't realize... How much this is
- 12:13Speaker 4: hurting herself and a crew that films the show and
- 12:18Speaker 4: past contestants that want to support the show. People's livelihoods
- 12:22Speaker 4: depend on it. That she thinks this is another like
- 12:25Speaker 4: piece of the game. So that part upsets me in
- 12:30Speaker 4: the sense of like, Taylor, hey, what did you think
- 12:31Speaker 4: you were signing up for? But then also, I just
- 12:35Speaker 4: don't think she's always been the victim.
- 12:38Speaker 2: She's always pretending she's the victim.
- 12:40Speaker 4: But that's my point is at some point you have
- 12:42Speaker 4: to take notice that maybe there's ownership in this and
- 12:46Speaker 4: change that needs to be made. That you're not always
- 12:49Speaker 4: the victim in every bad scenario. That people want to
- 12:53Speaker 4: like you, but you've hurt some people in the process here.
- 12:56Speaker 4: And when you turn it back on them every time,
- 12:59Speaker 4: they're going to just end up saying, hey, not healthy.
- 13:01Speaker 3: I'm getting out of this.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Yeah, that brings me to the fact that if we
- 13:07Speaker 2: use what she did on Bachelor as a demonstration as
- 13:12Speaker 2: to how she handles relationships, she doesn't take them very seriously, right?
- 13:18Speaker 2: So if we're going to use that example, because she
- 13:21Speaker 2: goes home and cheats on her fiancé basically twice, I
- 13:25Speaker 2: think that that shows that we can't trust her in
- 13:29Speaker 2: these friendships that she has with these girls on the show.
- 13:32Speaker 4: No, I think you represent yourself on these shows in
- 13:36Speaker 4: a similar way that mirrors your real life.
- 13:39Speaker 3: I would assume so. I don't know her.
- 13:41Speaker 4: And it's hard, Ashley, because I want to back her.
- 13:45Speaker 4: And I know so many of the women that were
- 13:48Speaker 4: leads on the franchise wanted to back her. And then
- 13:51Speaker 4: it just became hard because there was a disconnect or
- 13:56Speaker 4: this kind of like, vision that maybe Taylor was a
- 13:59Speaker 4: little more important than everybody else that's ever been.
- 14:01Speaker 3: On the show.
- 14:02Speaker 4: And I don't know if that's true or not, but
- 14:03Speaker 4: based on resumes, I would argue that there's some that
- 14:06Speaker 4: have done far bigger things than Taylor Frankie Paul, um,
- 14:11Speaker 4: more consistently.
- 14:12Speaker 3: She also never addressed in.
- 14:13Speaker 4: This, you know, we've recently had headlines that alleges that
- 14:16Speaker 4: Taylor Frankie Paul failed some drug tests. Um, and she
- 14:21Speaker 4: doesn't at all broach that subject within this, you know,
- 14:27Speaker 4: statement where she says either they're not true or they're
- 14:30Speaker 4: true and it was a mishap or whatever she just
- 14:33Speaker 4: doesn't talk about.
- 14:34Speaker 2: It no she doesn't acknowledge them there she does go
- 14:38Speaker 2: on to talk about cyberbullying in her insta story she
- 14:40Speaker 2: says that she's being cyberbullied and that her friends aren't
- 14:44Speaker 2: caring about her kids basically like all the girls are
- 14:47Speaker 2: saying like oh i don't want any i don't want
- 14:49Speaker 2: to I don't want to associate myself with this show
- 14:52Speaker 2: and this person because it doesn't align with my morals
- 14:55Speaker 2: and values because there are kids involved. And she's like,
- 14:58Speaker 2: this is not about the kids. Stop trying to make
- 15:02Speaker 2: it seem like you're using the kids as a front
- 15:05Speaker 2: is basically what she was saying.
- 15:18Speaker 3: Some of these messages are are concerning.
- 15:21Speaker 4: I don't know who's in her camp that she's listening
- 15:25Speaker 4: to that could hold her accountability or hold her accountable
- 15:29Speaker 4: with some like kindness and softness and that she would
- 15:33Speaker 4: actually respond to. I don't know how Taylor works or
- 15:36Speaker 4: if it just got to the point where people feel like.
- 15:38Speaker 3: They just need to be blunt and direct.
- 15:40Speaker 4: Maybe that's the case, but somebody needs who loves her
- 15:44Speaker 4: and who has access to her needs to see her. Um,
- 15:49Speaker 4: because within all of these posts, one of them speaks
- 15:53Speaker 4: to the, the darkness that these other people, I'm assuming
- 15:57Speaker 4: what she's talking about is this group of people that
- 16:00Speaker 4: she's filming the secret lives of Mormon wise with how
- 16:03Speaker 4: their lives are not going well either. And she finds
- 16:07Speaker 4: that she says, it's, um, it's wild. I think that
- 16:12Speaker 4: this group is bullying me while at the same time
- 16:15Speaker 4: they have their own stuff at home. And that could
- 16:18Speaker 4: be true, but we all have our stuff.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Like, we do.
- 16:23Speaker 4: It doesn't, just because, Ashley, you're maybe not going through
- 16:27Speaker 4: the best season of life and whoever knows what's going
- 16:30Speaker 4: on with you, it doesn't mean that I'm still not
- 16:32Speaker 4: going to listen to you to speak into me or
- 16:34Speaker 4: to hold me accountable. I assume that everybody has pains
- 16:39Speaker 4: that they're working through in whatever capacity, and that doesn't
- 16:43Speaker 4: discredit me. Pain doesn't discredit a human from being able
- 16:47Speaker 4: to speak into me. So it just sounds like she's
- 16:50Speaker 4: on defense mode right now. Like she's ultra defensive.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Well, she's been on ultra defense mode for months now.
- 16:56Speaker 3: I know.
- 16:56Speaker 4: Very hurt. It seems like she's very hurt. She's ultra defensive.
- 17:01Speaker 4: She's not really listening to anybody. She's not taking accountability
- 17:06Speaker 4: for the decision she's made in the midst of The
- 17:09Speaker 4: Bachelorette and then obviously filming Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
- 17:13Speaker 4: That's concerning because there are definitely some behaviors. I mean,
- 17:17Speaker 4: take everything else that's alleged out of it. We saw
- 17:21Speaker 4: that she cheated on the guy that she picked for
- 17:24Speaker 4: The Bachelorette and didn't really have a problem with it.
- 17:27Speaker 4: Actually kind of like push it aside like that in
- 17:30Speaker 4: itself is a an issue.
- 17:32Speaker 2: I don't know that the network knew that she was
- 17:38Speaker 2: going to write this. To me, when I said at
- 17:40Speaker 2: the beginning of the show that like, is it or
- 17:43Speaker 2: is it not an official departure? I feel like she
- 17:47Speaker 2: just randomly did her Taylor thing where she got on
- 17:50Speaker 2: her Instagram and she said something that was not approved
- 17:55Speaker 2: by production. I feel like this is her in some
- 17:59Speaker 2: way trying to figure out what they may really want.
- 18:04Speaker 2: It's like, do you want them or do you want me?
- 18:07Speaker 2: Or do you want me to kind of light this
- 18:11Speaker 2: thing up and fire. Because she's saying thank you to
- 18:14Speaker 2: the networks as if she's like talking about this as
- 18:17Speaker 2: a TV show. She's not saying like, thank you to
- 18:20Speaker 2: my friends and family for supporting me throughout my television career.
- 18:24Speaker 2: I'm going to step back. I'm not going to be
- 18:26Speaker 2: part of reality TV for some time. It sounds more
- 18:30Speaker 2: of like, hey, this show is the cast of the
- 18:37Speaker 2: show is bullying me out. So do you want me
- 18:39Speaker 2: or them? Or am I being dramatic? It just doesn't
- 18:43Speaker 2: sound like she's taking a step back from the spotlight
- 18:45Speaker 2: with this departure notice.
- 18:47Speaker 4: Well, I hope she is because the one thing I
- 18:49Speaker 4: was going to take from this, and this has been
- 18:53Speaker 4: so like messy and confusing since we started talking about
- 18:56Speaker 4: it months ago. I tried to follow the storylines and
- 19:00Speaker 4: it's all mixed up and then we get new people
- 19:03Speaker 4: added in and then we get the cheating added in
- 19:05Speaker 4: and It's just gotten to be where it's like everything
- 19:08Speaker 4: that comes out is like shockingly bad. Honestly, it's just like,
- 19:14Speaker 4: it's just shockingly, confusingly weird and bad. And then we
- 19:17Speaker 4: get the video release and I'm like, what in the world?
- 19:20Speaker 4: Like how did this, how did this person get cast
- 19:24Speaker 4: and who's helping her is my question.
- 19:26Speaker 2: How is this person living this life is my question.
- 19:29Speaker 2: I can't, I, when I have a dramatic moment in
- 19:32Speaker 2: my life, It is all consuming, and I hate being
- 19:35Speaker 2: in that headspace. How do you let yourself be in
- 19:38Speaker 2: this headspace so long?
- 19:42Speaker 4: Well, that's what I'm saying is I think you would
- 19:43Speaker 4: have people that would rally around you and help pull
- 19:46Speaker 4: you out of it, even with some tough love. And
- 19:48Speaker 4: I'm wondering where those people are. are at in Taylor's
- 19:51Speaker 4: life right now. She tough love. It feels like somebody
- 19:54Speaker 4: should sit her down and be like, okay, Taylor, you're
- 19:57Speaker 4: a human. I, I want my life. Here are the
- 20:01Speaker 4: things that have happened in the last year. What things
- 20:04Speaker 4: do you feel like have been blown out of proportion?
- 20:10Speaker 4: that have been not true? What things do you take
- 20:13Speaker 4: accountability for? Do you own and say, yes, I messed
- 20:16Speaker 4: up and I don't want to do that again. And
- 20:17Speaker 4: this is a behavior that I'm trying to stop. Let's
- 20:20Speaker 4: get a look at life, figure out how to take
- 20:23Speaker 4: a step forward. Part of AA is reconciling with people
- 20:30Speaker 4: you've hurt.
- 20:30Speaker 3: So let's start.
- 20:32Speaker 4: I just say that because AA is a pretty good
- 20:34Speaker 4: path to rebuilding relationships and kind of starting anew.
- 20:38Speaker 3: There's always.
- 20:39Speaker 4: that opportunity for people to start anew in life and
- 20:42Speaker 4: to start a new story. There is grace there. And
- 20:46Speaker 4: I hope to God, literally, that that can be offered
- 20:50Speaker 4: to her and that's told to her. But part of
- 20:52Speaker 4: that is reconciling with the people you've hurt along your path.
- 20:56Speaker 4: And so maybe some steps are who do you need
- 20:58Speaker 4: to reconcile with? Doesn't mean you need to invite them
- 21:01Speaker 4: back into your life. Goodness, there's some people right here
- 21:03Speaker 4: in front of us that I don't think she should
- 21:06Speaker 4: ever be around again. but she can reconcile or forgive.
- 21:10Speaker 4: And then, Taylor, how do we step forward? I say
- 21:14Speaker 4: all this, say the one thing, Ashley, that I was
- 21:16Speaker 4: going to leave this conversation saying good for her is
- 21:20Speaker 4: that she has publicly now stated, if she means it
- 21:24Speaker 4: or not, or who she's actually sending it to or not,
- 21:26Speaker 4: that she is stepping away, which means that she has
- 21:29Speaker 4: no more commitments on her plate for an X amount
- 21:35Speaker 4: of time That is what we've been asking or hoping
- 21:38Speaker 4: for for her for a long time now, that she
- 21:42Speaker 4: would be free of media, free of cameras, free of storylines,
- 21:46Speaker 4: of press, that it gives her time to work on herself.
- 21:49Speaker 4: And I hope that that's actually what she's saying, that
- 21:52Speaker 4: she is stepping away.
- 22:05Speaker 2: She doesn't acknowledge her fans in the message, which again
- 22:09Speaker 2: makes me feel like she's not necessarily leaving the fans.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Because it sounds so network-y that I feel like she
- 22:17Speaker 2: might be on Instagram. But listen, I agree. I hope
- 22:21Speaker 2: that this means that she's actually going to step away
- 22:24Speaker 2: and take some very, very quiet time out of any
- 22:28Speaker 2: sort of public eye.
- 22:30Speaker 4: At some point, whatever it is, She has to admit
- 22:35Speaker 4: that she has caused pain. Like there is an admittance
- 22:39Speaker 4: of behavior or admittance of substance or admittance.
- 22:45Speaker 3: Of decisions.
- 22:47Speaker 4: Once we get an admittance, like, hey, I have done
- 22:50Speaker 4: this and I recognize it, then I think we're on
- 22:54Speaker 4: a path forward. But saying it's not me, it's everybody else.
- 22:59Speaker 2: It's literally never been her. That's the problem. It's never
- 23:02Speaker 2: been her. Well, I mean, there's been a few times
- 23:05Speaker 2: where she's been like, where she's admitted that she's always
- 23:08Speaker 2: working on herself and that she's not great and she
- 23:11Speaker 2: feels bad about this or that. She does admit fault
- 23:15Speaker 2: in some ways. But I do feel like when it
- 23:18Speaker 2: comes to TV stuff, it's almost like she's always blaming
- 23:22Speaker 2: the people around her. I do feel like sometimes I
- 23:26Speaker 2: talk about Taylor from this place of feeling honestly quite whole.
- 23:32Speaker 2: I feel like I was brought up in a really happy, comfortable,
- 23:37Speaker 2: stable family. And I'm hoping that I'm giving that to
- 23:41Speaker 2: my kids right now. And it's easy for me to say, like,
- 23:45Speaker 2: why don't you just snap out of this? Be more accountable. Like,
- 23:50Speaker 2: pick yourself up off this, just this, I don't know,
- 23:58Speaker 2: like drama-centric life that you're living and try to like,
- 24:05Speaker 2: just forget about it and say that this isn't important.
- 24:09Speaker 2: I can make money another way or like, you know,
- 24:11Speaker 2: just take a beat and then come back and do
- 24:14Speaker 2: your influencing. You can be an influencer and live a happy,
- 24:18Speaker 2: relatively normal life. But I do think that she needs
- 24:22Speaker 2: to take a beat, but I think her career will
- 24:24Speaker 2: definitely be there if she wants to do it. So
- 24:26Speaker 2: I just feel like sometimes I'm really hard on Taylor and,
- 24:30Speaker 2: on this podcast. Not that I've ever been hard on
- 24:32Speaker 2: her in person or like on the internet, but like
- 24:34Speaker 2: I am sometimes hard on her on this podcast. And
- 24:38Speaker 2: I do feel guilty about it. It's probably easier said
- 24:40Speaker 2: than done, but I just feel like she does. She
- 24:45Speaker 2: does seem to feel very comfortable living in like this
- 24:49Speaker 2: victim role. And I want better for her. I want
- 24:54Speaker 2: her to see how wonderful life can be if she
- 24:56Speaker 2: doesn't live in the drama and just feed off it.
- 24:59Speaker 2: And that's like, it's like she's probably addicted to, you know,
- 25:03Speaker 2: she is addicted to drama. She's addicted to this reality
- 25:07Speaker 2: TV chaos. And if she does have ADD, let's just
- 25:13Speaker 2: say that she has ADD, a lot of people with
- 25:17Speaker 2: ADD will kind of like obsess and like feed off something.
- 25:22Speaker 2: They're very addiction prone. So whether it's the addiction to
- 25:26Speaker 2: the fame and the chaos or men even, It's something
- 25:31Speaker 2: that I'd hope that she could break down in therapy.
- 25:34Speaker 3: Well, the headlines can summarize like this.
- 25:36Speaker 4: Taylor Frankie Paul, at least to what we know right now,
- 25:39Speaker 4: according to her social media, is stepping away from the
- 25:43Speaker 4: secret lives of Mormon wives. And her hope is that
- 25:46Speaker 4: they can continue filming because she feels like she is
- 25:50Speaker 4: a roadblock to everybody else going off on doing the show.
- 25:53Speaker 4: We'll see if the show continues or not. We'll see
- 25:56Speaker 4: if Taylor Frankie Paul comes back or not, or who
- 25:58Speaker 4: says yes and who says no. This is breaking news,
- 26:02Speaker 4: so it's all happening within the last hour. We'll follow
