- 0:15SPEAKER_01: What is going on, bogglers?
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: It's your boy MJ coming at you with another episode of the The Fantasy Fumble with my co-host here, Joe the Birdman.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: Joe, how the hell are you doing today, brother?
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: I'm doing pretty well, man.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: It's been up and down this football season.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: Injury apocalypse is here, and uh my teams are all over the place, man.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: I got a couple that are 0-3, but I also got a couple that are 3-0, and there's still a lot of time left.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: You know, and that's the thing I do miss, is right, like uh having multiple teams to manage.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: But one thing I I learned about fancy, always go with your gut, and most of the time your teams that 90% of the time end up doing good are the ones that you picked, you know, as your primaries, and the guys that you alternated are just end up being lesser or are not as good.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: It that seems to be the the case for me, not sure it's the case for everybody, but regardless, let's go ahead and get down to the news and notes.
- 1:14SPEAKER_01: But first, a word from our sponsors.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: Hey there.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: My name is Manny James Gonzalez with PRB, and I'm a real estate agent here in Central Florida.
- 1:23SPEAKER_01: I'm a U.S.
- 1:23SPEAKER_01: Navy veteran, military relocation pro, and big supporter of 2A and veterans' rights.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: My specialty is VA transactions, also experience in multiparts of real estate.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: I've been living in Florida for over 20 years, and I can tell you we still believe in freedom down here.
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: One of the greatest job markets, excellent economy, and no state income tax.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: When it comes to an agent, you want one that's gonna be honest, not afraid of a fight, and most importantly, you're willing to do the things that some agents are willing to do.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: And what's that, Manny?
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: Too straight, Dan.
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: If you ever consider buying in Central Florida, you need somebody you can trust, and I got your six.
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: I'm Manny James Gonzalez, find land for the free and home for the brave.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: Welcome back, ballers.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: Now let's get into some news and notes.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: Now, as we've discussed in many past seasons, James Connor is injured.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: Hopefully prepared with Trey Benson because he's out for the season.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: And running back Tyrone Tracy is expected to miss two to four weeks with a dislocated shoulder.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans is also expected to miss at least two weeks, could be three or four with a hamstring injury.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: And CeeDee Lamb is unlikely to play in week four against the Packers due to an ankle injury.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: And there have been some reports about him possibly going on IR, but we got to wait and see.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: And uh after that Giants game last week, they announced that Jackson Dart is gonna be the starter in week four.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: So good move by the Giants, man.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: Uh, it's clear that this is not gonna be uh Russell Wilson's last hoorah, and Russell's gonna keep trying to chuck it up.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: I'd rather have Jameis Winston out there, to be honest, you know.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: So I think they're gonna trade him, or if they can't find a trade party, just release him outright.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: Um, because obviously, you know, Russell Wilson's still looking to start, and I think obviously Cincinnati could be a place like all, but it could even be another team, like let's say the Raiders take a crack at him.
- 3:47SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: Like, you know, yeah, strongly doubt it, but you know, there's a there's always a wild, wild card in there.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you know, Jameis, I agree with that.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: He's always more fun for fantasy purposes, and Cincy, that would be interesting.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: I mean, Jake Browning did pretty well last season, but you know, you always need depth, so that's that's an interesting thought.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: Well, he got his ass kicked this game, and the last game he threw three touchdowns, but he also threw three interceptions, so that's that's where you know, so his results haven't been that great, too, to be honest.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: And their schedule is difficult all season, so they play in the AFC North, right?
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's all you got really gotta say.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: Well, given all the circumstances that we just discussed, we're gonna get into some trade targets that you should look for going into week four.
- 4:45SPEAKER_01: Welcome back, ballers.
- 4:49SPEAKER_01: All right, now for our trade targets we're gonna talk about today.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: I mean Joe have this new segment.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: We thought it'd be a great idea to kind of talk about some players that you could possibly buy low on now or pay asking price for, right?
- 5:03SPEAKER_01: Because these are guys that I think are gonna be great in the long run, or they have, you know, they're gonna have a really solid season.
- 5:09SPEAKER_01: You can kind of see it early and bits and flurries.
- 5:13SPEAKER_01: So um one of the guys I really like that I wasn't that big on coming into the off uh to the season is Devontae Adams.
- 5:22SPEAKER_01: So I didn't realize that the Rams are gonna be throwing the ball to them that much, right?
- 5:26SPEAKER_01: Because when they had Cooper Cup or Puka and Puka, they were only throwing it to one guy, right?
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: It was either Cooper Cup, which he was a guy, or it was Puka when Puka came in.
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: So I I never thought Mass Saver can sustain that level of success, but honestly, I think that although Puka is the more productive receiver right now, Devontae Adams uh has more targets than Puka.
- 5:50SPEAKER_01: So I could see him, you know, being somebody that you can pay right now.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: Like, obviously, it's not gonna be cheap.
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: You're gonna pay wide receiver two numbers, maybe three, right?
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: Depending on the situation for the guy, but he's definitely somebody I would go after with like uh you know two flex type players, right?
- 6:06SPEAKER_01: Like it depending on what the person needs, whether that's a quarterback, running back, or a wide receiver tight end.
- 6:11SPEAKER_01: You come in with a strong offer, you should be able to come in and uh kind of upgrade at that position.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I'm I I agree with what you're saying about asking price.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: Right now, you can pay asking price for these players and then really have a lot of upside for the rest of the season.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: And I think Devontae's I was not high on Devontae either.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: I knew he'd be a red zone target, but um, I didn't think he'd be getting the targets that he's getting, and that's a pleasant surprise.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: And Puka, you know, he still hasn't scored a touchdown, but he's the number one wide receiver in the league.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: More than enough to go around on the Randy offense.
- 6:47SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: Now, the first guy I'm gonna talk about, it's probably too late um to get the the value that you would have gotten in week three.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: But if there's someone in your league with three to four solid running backs, I would try to get Trey Benson.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: I just have a feeling he could finish inside the top 10 for the rest of the season because people have been talking about him for years.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: We've seen what he can do, and now it's his time to shine for the rest of the season, not just a few games.
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: You're gonna get him the rest of the season.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: He's gonna be the uh workhorse running back over there.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: And the Cardinals and Seahawks games should be very high scoring this week, so the price could go way up in week five.
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: That that is a good good pick, Joe.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: I definitely like him a lot too.
- 7:34SPEAKER_01: Um, I don't know about top ten, right?
- 7:37SPEAKER_01: Like, I haven't looked at it that deep, you know.
- 7:39SPEAKER_01: But Trey Benson does have the skills, you know.
- 7:41SPEAKER_01: I I think he's a great player.
- 7:43SPEAKER_01: So I'm just saying it's possible.
- 7:45SPEAKER_01: It's possible.
- 7:46SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, I can see him.
- 7:47SPEAKER_01: He's the workload, it was him obviously taking some of James Connor's snaps, but now what the Mercardo's gonna take his snaps?
- 7:55SPEAKER_01: I doubt it.
- 7:55SPEAKER_01: I think they're gonna run him out there uh all three downs, like you were saying, right?
- 8:00SPEAKER_01: That's what I think, yeah.
- 8:01SPEAKER_01: His role was the pass catch him back, and now that the pass catch him back is promoted, who's gonna do his job but him, you know?
- 8:08SPEAKER_01: So that's that makes sense.
- 8:11SPEAKER_01: Uh that's a good call.
- 8:12SPEAKER_01: All right, Joe.
- 8:13SPEAKER_01: Now for my next trade target that I want to talk about, it's a guy by the name of Ted McMillan, uh, wide receiver Carolina Panthers.
- 8:21SPEAKER_01: He has been uh look great in preseason, look great in practice.
- 8:25SPEAKER_01: He looks good in the game.
- 8:26SPEAKER_01: He's just not getting schemed open that much, you're not giving him as many opportunities.
- 8:31SPEAKER_01: Um, I think with the offense, though, it's event eventually gonna settle down uh because they do have a decent O-line, it's eventually gonna settle down, and Bryce Young is gonna start making those throws.
- 8:42SPEAKER_01: And Ted McMillan is a freak of nature.
- 8:44SPEAKER_01: I think he's gonna definitely um be scoring in you know wide receiver 10 range, right?
- 8:49SPEAKER_01: Overall, I think he could end up over there, 10 to 15 range, so that's actually pretty good because he's getting you what 15 to 20 points a game at that point.
- 8:57SPEAKER_01: Um, and from what I've been seeing, the reason why I picked two running two wide receivers is because this is one of the years, uh, first years in a long time that I can say it's a lot, uh, a lot less wide receiver talent out there than there typically was, right?
- 9:11SPEAKER_01: There's a big drop-off between talent with the top guys and the next tier guys, and then the middle of a pack guy.
- 9:17SPEAKER_01: So it's slim pickings for sure.
- 9:19SPEAKER_01: So if you get these guys, they're target hogs, they're gonna absolutely elevate your team, and you're not gonna pay too much for them.
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you've been high on Ted McMillan all season.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: I wasn't nearly as high on him, but he is a big strong player.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: We were waiting for him to get comfortable in the offense, and he did.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: I did not expect that uh that game to go that direction.
- 9:40SPEAKER_01: Actually, they didn't have to throw it last game.
- 9:43SPEAKER_01: They just stomped a mud hole in their ass.
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but they they they look good.
- 9:49SPEAKER_00: Uh and the second guy I'm gonna talk about, he's not a trade target, but a waiver ad that I think I I kind of like it for the next few weeks, and that's Kate Otten.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: I think we all remember the dominance he had last October and November when Godwin and Evans were out, and it's possible Godwin plays this week, but he could be limited.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: And we know Evans is out for a few weeks.
- 10:13SPEAKER_00: So if Godwin misses this week, I mean I would grab Kate Otten, just put him on your bench, and if Godwin misses this week, I'd be pretty comfortable starting him.
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: And I could see him finishing as the second best pass catcher behind Igbuka.
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: So, you know, if you're struggling at tight end, which everybody is, unless you've got you know one of the top three or four guys, I would pick him up and just you know, see see uh what your options are going into the weekend.
- 10:42SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: Now let's get into our hot matchups.
- 10:56SPEAKER_01: Oh child is so high in here.
- 10:58SPEAKER_01: Oh child.
- 11:05SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, oh my lord.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: Oh boy.
- 11:12SPEAKER_01: All right, let's get to the hot matchups today.
- 11:16SPEAKER_01: All right, I'll leave this up, Joe.
- 11:18SPEAKER_01: Um hot matchup.
- 11:20SPEAKER_01: Of course, you guys are getting tired of me talking about these fucking teams, and you probably will, and I'm sorry, but it's the truth.
- 11:28SPEAKER_01: I said, you know, I told you last week it was gonna be a farm burn uh barn burner.
- 11:33SPEAKER_01: Um and this week it's gonna be another one, Philly versus Tampa Bay.
- 11:39SPEAKER_01: It's in Tampa, Tampa has an explosive offense, actually a really good defense too.
- 11:44SPEAKER_01: And uh Philly, same thing, explosive offense, good defense.
- 11:48SPEAKER_01: But Tampa always seems to have Philly's number.
- 11:50SPEAKER_01: Now I looked at their all I actually had an argument with the Bucs fan the other day because I'm in Florida as well, and I I'm surrounded by Bucks fans.
- 11:58SPEAKER_01: There's a few in the league, yeah.
- 12:01SPEAKER_01: And and they always talk trash.
- 12:03SPEAKER_01: I I looked up the all-time record, and um and Philly played uh Philly lost to the Buccaneers, I think, um two more times and they lost to us.
- 12:17SPEAKER_01: So the record is like 15 to 13, like all time, and then the Buccaneers have a two-game lead on us.
- 12:22SPEAKER_01: So I'm I'm hoping if Philly's kind of take another one on there because we'll be one away from breaking that tie and and uh um proving to the Bucks that we're the better franchise.
- 12:33SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's just what it is.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I I think that will be a shootout, but there is a chance it goes the other way because they do have good defenses, like you said.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: That's always the gamble.
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: Like, you know, I was thinking about over the weekend when I was watching uh Cleveland and Green Bay, you know, I was thinking, man, that would have been a good cold call because those defenses are so rock solid, but at the same time, you see what they can do on offense uh uh in Green Bay, so you you don't really want to bet against them.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: But I have a feeling with the Bucks and Philly that could go either way, but if I had to put my money on something, it would be a shootout for my first hot matchup, or my only hot matchup.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: We're fucking we each do one.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: Uh I have the Colts and the Rams.
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: Both teams, it's it's similar to the situation you just described with Philly and Tampa.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: Both teams have top 10 defenses, but I have a feeling this game will stay competitive the entire time the entire time, creating a lot of points.
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: The Colts have been a very pleasant surprise this year.
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: Jonathan Taylor is back to being the best running back in the NFL, which has been awesome to watch.
- 13:46SPEAKER_00: You called that.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: I mean, you didn't say he was going to be the best, but you said he'd be getting back to form, and I certainly didn't expect that level of dominance, and I was not nearly as high on him.
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: Um, and the Rams are really good against the run, but good luck drop uh stopping JT.
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: And I think we've seen enough of Michael Pittman to say he's a lineup lock, which is very surprising to me because I I didn't even think about drafting him.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: Uh, but he's averaging 16 points a game and he's looked great in two out of three games.
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: And the one that that he looked just okay, I think he had eight or ten points.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: And um although Tyler Warren and Daniel Jones struggled a bit a little bit last week, it was mostly up to due to being up uh two scores against the Titans for like the duration of the game.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: So Jones is a top five quarterback and Warren is a top 10 tight end, and I'd start both of them too.
- 14:37SPEAKER_00: And then on the other side of the field, you got the Rams, they've been great.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: Um, the Colts have the best running back in the league, but the Rams had the best wide receiver in the league.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: Puka's averaging over 100 yards and like 25 fantasy points a game.
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: And as we discussed earlier, Devonta has been rock solid too.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: And I believe the the strong Colts secondary were will have their hands full and they won't be able to stop him.
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: And Kyron may have some difficulty against the run, but he's still a solid flex play every week.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: And again, this game should be close from start to finish.
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: So I think the entire offense will be involved for both teams.
- 15:15SPEAKER_00: Now let's get into our cold calls.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna lead things off with the Titans and the Texans.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: He's he's a good player, but the Titans are just so bad.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: And I actually thought Ridley could be like a flex play all year long, uh, but he should be dropped.
- 15:45SPEAKER_00: And there's a guy I've I've heard being discussed as a waiver ad.
- 15:49SPEAKER_00: Uh, I am an early like, yeah, he's a hot waiver ad, but without those two touchdowns, he wouldn't even be on the radar.
- 15:56SPEAKER_00: So yeah, if you're looking for like a dart throw, or if you're in a double flex league, I guess you could pick him up.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: I picked him up in a couple leagues uh in week three, but um, I really didn't expect him to score another touchdown and put up 15.
- 16:09SPEAKER_00: I just don't think that's gonna be something that's consistent.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: There's just nobody I'm starting on that offense, including Aomaior or Aomanor, uh however you say his name.
- 16:20SPEAKER_00: Um, the only person I would start at flex would possibly be Pollard if I didn't have a better option.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: Just the Titans' offense is really bad.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: And um the Texans have a top five defense.
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: They're good against the pass and the run.
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: So I don't want anything to do with the Titans.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: And uh the Titans' defense is almost as bad as their offense, so it's possible we see another big game from Nico Collins, who looked great last week and finished with over 100 yards, but sadly that's where it ends with the Texans.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: The rest of the team has been terrible.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: I thought we could see something from Jaden Higgins, but he's done nothing.
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: Uh I picked him up in like every league at like later rounds of the draft, and he's done nothing.
- 17:04SPEAKER_01: I like them too as a sleeper pick, though.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: So it's just a big guy, he's a big, strong guy, he's built like Tet McMillan.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: I thought maybe he's another rookie that you could keep your eye on, but Stroud has been terrible, and I guess you could play.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we've been and we've been discussing that since day one.
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: That's but that was their problem last year, too.
- 17:21SPEAKER_00: That's why we're always nervous about what can the run game do.
- 17:25SPEAKER_00: And Mixon, although he had his hands full, he looked good last year.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: We thought he could maybe do it again, but he's not around, so that run game is non-existent.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: You could play Dalton Schultz or Christian Kirk and just hope for eight to ten points if you're desperate, but I would stay away from this whole game, both sides of the ball.
- 17:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, for sure.
- 17:46SPEAKER_01: I'm not a fan.
- 17:48SPEAKER_01: Now, for my uh cold call of week or uh cold matchup, sorry, cold call, cold matchup.
- 17:55SPEAKER_01: So it's the Monday night game.
- 17:57SPEAKER_01: I can't believe they flexed this shit to prime time, Miami Dolphins versus the New York Jets, right?
- 18:05SPEAKER_01: The NFL has the ability to flex games outside of primetime and put the good ones there, but for some reason they left this turd of a matchup that I'm gonna absolutely miss because I have no shares of those two terrible offenses, and uh I'm damn sure not gonna pay the subscription fee required to pop possibly watch this on a whole different platform.
- 18:28SPEAKER_01: So, NFL, get your shit together because that is so bad.
- 18:33SPEAKER_01: And if you have Brees Hall, sell now.
- 18:37SPEAKER_01: If you have Quinshawn Junkins for the Browns, sell now because it's not gonna get any better than this, guys.
- 18:43SPEAKER_01: This is the peak, and now the valley is coming.
- 18:47SPEAKER_00: I think Quinshawn could do something.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: Um I'm actually solid, I'm actually confident that he could at least be like a solid flex player, like an RB3, um, and possibly even work his way up to an RB2, just because there's not a lot else going on in the offense, you know.
- 19:05SPEAKER_01: I just think he's gonna have a lot of inconsistent games because the Browns are that terrible, right?
- 19:10SPEAKER_01: Like their quarterback, you know, situation, they have a bunch of options and they can't figure it out.
- 19:15SPEAKER_01: You know, Joe Flacco is definitely not it, right?
- 19:18SPEAKER_01: But uh at the end of the day, unless they make that change at that quarterback, I would sell Quinn Sean anyways, because at the end of the day, like people can value him in what he's supposed to be, but there's no way you're gonna get that consistent production when you need him all season long.
- 19:34SPEAKER_01: So right now, if you could get a decent value as a wide receiver three, you know, trade or uh upgrade at quarterback, you know, obviously take it because that's that's as good as it's gonna get, honestly, with him.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: But I agree about Brees.
- 19:49SPEAKER_00: I think that's someone that and you know what?
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: Maybe I'm a hater because I I avoid him every year.
- 19:57SPEAKER_00: Um he's had some monster games, he's had some good seasons, but at the same time, it's peaks and valleys, and when you start to see a couple valleys or or that slope just getting uh less and less, I don't know, man.
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: I wouldn't start him with confidence, that's for sure.
- 20:15SPEAKER_01: I've been the biggest Breeze supporter, man, the last few years.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: You have.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: I'm a hater, you're a supporter, and we both agree on this, which means it's probably time to trade him.
- 20:23SPEAKER_01: If he's on another team with a good offensive line, absolutely.
- 20:27SPEAKER_01: With a good offense, I mean Brees Hall is gonna be a good back, but not here.
- 20:33SPEAKER_00: And the thing is, like, I I still like Justin Fields for a season-long quarterback, like as your backup, or you know, someone that you could start uh from uh at certain times, but you know, he's gonna he's gotta be a little more consistent for you to start him.
- 20:51SPEAKER_00: You know, when when you see him come out and he does great and puts up a lot of yards, you get excited.
- 20:57SPEAKER_00: I always get excited.
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: I do think he's a good player.
- 21:00SPEAKER_00: Um, he's just got a solid floor because of the running.
- 21:04SPEAKER_00: And once he's healthy, I would say you should pick him up, start him at certain weeks, and keep him on your bench for others.
- 21:11SPEAKER_00: But that's a suspect offense.
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: The Dolphins are a suspect offense.
- 21:16SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's another thing with the Dolphins wide receivers.
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: You never know what you're gonna get.
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: It just depends on the game script.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: And you know, last week with my hot matchup, I know it's your cold call this week, but my hot matchup last week was the Bills and the Dolphins because I just had a feeling they would be garbage time.
- 21:30SPEAKER_00: It turned out to be a competitive game the whole way through.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: We did say that's always a possibility, but um that those wide receivers are also someone where you start them and you hold your breath because you have no idea what you're gonna get.
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: A chan all day.
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: Tyreek and Waddle, it's a week to week basis, and you're never comfortable.
- 21:53SPEAKER_00: Now let's get into our shit calls of the week.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: My shit call is regarding Wanda Robinson.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: I was high on I was really high on Wanda, and I told our viewers to add him from waivers or make a lowball trade for him, and that I would start him against the Chiefs.
- 22:18SPEAKER_00: That game turned out to be a disaster, and I'm sorry if anyone started him over a better player, but it was just a bad game all around.
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: I'm still confident in him for the rest of the season.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: And keep in mind that Jackson Dart is now the starting quarterback.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: So hopefully that works out better for him.
- 22:34SPEAKER_00: I mean, his connection with Russell Wilson looked awesome.
- 22:37SPEAKER_00: But we know Russell Williams, Russell Wilson's another one of those guys that's peaks and valleys, unreliable.
- 22:43SPEAKER_00: So hopefully Jackson Dart is a more reliable guy that makes you start one day with confidence.
- 22:48SPEAKER_00: But I apologize for last week.
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: That was a bad call to start him against the Chiefs.
- 22:53SPEAKER_01: Hear that.
- 22:56SPEAKER_01: Now for my shit call, you know, it's not so much about what I said, but more about what I did not do.
- 23:05SPEAKER_01: What I did not do this year is talk about David Montgomery.
- 23:11SPEAKER_01: I've been a big David Montgomery supporter.
- 23:14SPEAKER_01: I was on, I was telling people about Montgomery as soon as he went from Chicago to Detroit, and people were like, hey, he's not gonna be that great.
- 23:22SPEAKER_01: I was like, no, sit back and watch.
- 23:24SPEAKER_01: And you know what?
- 23:24SPEAKER_01: I thought it would be the I actually thought like those people this year.
- 23:28SPEAKER_01: I said, David Montgomery is not gonna get that many touches.
- 23:32SPEAKER_01: Gibbs is gonna coast and take everything over this year.
- 23:35SPEAKER_01: And sure enough, I was wrong.
- 23:37SPEAKER_01: You know, David Montgomery is the guy, as advertised right before he got injured last year.
- 23:42SPEAKER_01: Uh, he's the guy that almost hit a thousand, you know, like all-purpose yard season, right?
- 23:47SPEAKER_01: Like he's a he's a reliable back, he he can eventually break away like every once in a while.
- 23:54SPEAKER_01: Not common, but you know, I I think that you did last week, yeah.
- 23:59SPEAKER_01: He 151 yards and two touchdowns, right?
- 24:02SPEAKER_01: Like, that's fucking amazing.
- 24:04SPEAKER_01: And so my shit call was I wasn't on a David Montgomery hype train this year.
- 24:09SPEAKER_01: So, David Montgomery, my sincerest apologies, sir, for underestimating you, but I've I've always been a fan.
- 24:17SPEAKER_00: You've been a huge fan, and I have too, and I feel the same way, man.
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: I the reason I picked Gibbs as the number one overall running back, that's what I said.
- 24:27SPEAKER_00: Our rankings, I said it's it's because they're gonna phase out of the usage with Montgomery.
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: Boy, he looked awesome, he's been good.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: It's not just last week, he's been good, and yeah, he's that guy.
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: So not sure why we doubted Sonic and Knuckles because they are a duo and they kick ass together.
- 24:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, in one of my leagues, I have I do have Sonic, so that's that that is a good one.
- 24:53SPEAKER_00: I mean, I have Sonic in like four leagues, and I still think he's we have yet to see the best from him, but not he had a great game, yeah.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, well both they both did, they both did hell yeah.
- 25:11SPEAKER_01: I didn't hit record.
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: Yes, you did.
- 25:13SPEAKER_01: I just repeated that.
- 25:17SPEAKER_01: All right, all right, all right.
- 25:18SPEAKER_01: Here we go.
