- 1:08Speaker 2: the Word of God, verse by verse, chapter by chapter,
- 1:13Speaker 2: and today we're going to enter into Jeremiah chapter fifteen.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Praise God, we get to embark in another chapter now,
- 1:23Speaker 2: verse one through verse ten. This is a heavy passage, right.
- 1:27Speaker 2: God makes it clear that Judas rebellion has reached the
- 1:31Speaker 2: point where even the prayers of Moses and Samuel, two
- 1:36Speaker 2: of the Israel's most greatest intercessors, would not reverse the
- 1:41Speaker 2: judgment that was about to hit the nation. But there's
- 1:46Speaker 2: another layer of this passage. Jeremiah himself is hurting, he's crying,
- 1:55Speaker 2: and he's carrying the burden of delivering a message that
- 2:00Speaker 2: the people didn't want to hear. He's watching his nation
- 2:06Speaker 2: suffer and he's feeling the weight of being God's messenger. Now,
- 2:15Speaker 2: this passage teaches us about consequences, leadership, obedience, and the
- 2:21Speaker 2: emotional cost of standing for God's truth. So it's gonna
- 2:28Speaker 2: be a good chapter. Grab your seat belts, hold on
- 2:33Speaker 2: to something, grab your bibles, you know, pass your highlighters,
- 2:37Speaker 2: and follow along, and let's go before Father in prayer,
- 2:43Speaker 2: Heavenly Father, we ask Lord that you will just touch
- 2:46Speaker 2: this broadcast today, that you will breathe on it. Father God,
- 2:50Speaker 2: we ask, Oh Lord, that it'll go out to the masses.
- 2:54Speaker 2: We asked Father God for your rim a word, Oh God,
- 2:56Speaker 2: touch somebody today, Oh Lord, with your word spirit. We
- 3:00Speaker 2: invite you win, Oh God, to be a part of this,
- 3:03Speaker 2: and not only that, to lead this, that you will
- 3:07Speaker 2: be glorified, magnified and exalted. And we asked this in
- 3:12Speaker 2: Jesus' name. Amen. Now, also, there's something else we want
- 3:18Speaker 2: you to do. We want you to log on to
- 3:23Speaker 2: the like chat. We want you to meet us right

- 3:55Speaker 2: what's up. I want to sell this up to my
- 3:58Speaker 2: sister who logged in yesterday. Caira. Hopefully I'm pronouncing your
- 4:04Speaker 2: name right, ka r a's Kyra. I believe we want
- 4:11Speaker 2: to shout you out. It was very encouraging and amazing
- 4:17Speaker 2: to have you there. And as a matter of fact,
- 4:20Speaker 2: you are the new trivia champion. So you just beat
- 4:24Speaker 2: out Zone three and misses his hop who's been battling
- 4:27Speaker 2: back and forth, and it's nice to have some fresh
- 4:31Speaker 2: blood in the life chat of course, shout out to
- 4:35Speaker 2: Zonne and shout out to missus his hop. Amen. Amen.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Very encouraging, all right, So let's get to the word
- 4:47Speaker 2: as I broke it down. In the beginning, Jeremiah was
- 4:50Speaker 2: interceding for the nation. They were suffering a severe drought
- 4:56Speaker 2: and he wanted some reprieve, some relief. He wanted some
- 5:01Speaker 2: relief from the judgment. The ground was dry. Even the
- 5:06Speaker 2: deers would have babies and walk away because there is
- 5:10Speaker 2: no grass to graze on. And this is the response
- 5:16Speaker 2: to the intercession in the prayers of Jeremiah, because God
- 5:22Speaker 2: kept telling him not to pray for the good of
- 5:25Speaker 2: the nation. Now, we don't ever want to get to
- 5:28Speaker 2: this point. Amen in her walk with the Lord, so
- 5:37Speaker 2: verse one fifteen. And the Lord said to me, even
- 5:43Speaker 2: if Moses and Samuel stood before me, my mind would
- 5:48Speaker 2: not be favorable towards this. People cast him out of
- 5:54Speaker 2: my sight. Wow. Let them go forth, Man, cast them
- 6:02Speaker 2: out of my sight.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Wow.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Now this is incredibly, incredibly powerful, a powerful statement. Now,
- 6:14Speaker 2: Moses was the great deliverer and intercessor for Israel. Moses
- 6:20Speaker 2: was the one who led them through the Red Sea
- 6:23Speaker 2: and God delivered them from Egypt. Samuel was also a
- 6:28Speaker 2: prayer warrior in an intercessor for the nation. There was
- 6:32Speaker 2: a time when Israel wanted a king. They rejected God
- 6:36Speaker 2: from being their king, their direct king, and so they
- 6:40Speaker 2: wanted a physical king that they could see. And when
- 6:44Speaker 2: they realized that they sinned against the Lord asking for
- 6:48Speaker 2: a king, they asked Samuel, do not cease to pray
- 6:55Speaker 2: for us? And Samuel said, I would not sin.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Right.
- 7:00Speaker 2: He considered it a sin against God if he were
- 7:04Speaker 2: to stop praying for the nation. Now, these are some
- 7:09Speaker 2: of the most powerful intercessorers for the nation, and God
- 7:14Speaker 2: says that they're intercession would not change the judgment that
- 7:19Speaker 2: Judy had brought upon itself. Now, if we pay attention,
- 7:24Speaker 2: we need to observe the fact that there comes a
- 7:27Speaker 2: point when persistent rebellion produces consequences. Now we all know
- 7:34Speaker 2: and understand the mercy of God, the love of God,
- 7:37Speaker 2: the patience of God. And God even gives warning after warning.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Think one second, is there an area in our lives?
- 7:49Speaker 2: Is there an area in your life my life where
- 7:53Speaker 2: God has warned us repeatedly? Has he told us to
- 7:59Speaker 2: stop doing such and such, stop going to such a place,
- 8:04Speaker 2: stop saying this, stop acting this way, stop this, or
- 8:07Speaker 2: stop that, or start. Maybe some of us need to start.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Maybe you need to find out a home church to
- 8:14Speaker 2: go to. Maybe you need to start praying or reading
- 8:17Speaker 2: your word consistently. Well, Grace does not eliminate consequences when
- 8:28Speaker 2: people continually refuse to repent. Even if we do repent,
- 8:36Speaker 2: sometimes God doesn't remove the consequences. So it is not
- 8:41Speaker 2: worth it. Belove it to resist the mighty hand of God. Amen,
- 8:49Speaker 2: And to resist his love alright verse two, And it
- 8:56Speaker 2: will and it shall be. If they say to you,
- 9:00Speaker 2: where should we go, then you shall tell them, Thus
- 9:04Speaker 2: says the Lord, such as are for death to death,
- 9:10Speaker 2: and such as are for the sword to the sword,
- 9:14Speaker 2: such as are for the famine to the famine, and
- 9:19Speaker 2: such as are for captivity to captivity. Now this is
- 9:25Speaker 2: a devastating answer to their question.
- 9:28Speaker 6: Right.
- 9:33Speaker 2: God tells Jeremiah that when the people ask where they
- 9:38Speaker 2: should go, the answer will be death, the sword, famine,
- 9:42Speaker 2: and captivity. These are consequences. These are devastating consequences. Now,
- 9:51Speaker 2: God also says that he will appoint four kinds of
- 9:56Speaker 2: different judgments against the nation, that he is going to
- 10:01Speaker 2: bring the sword. Right, in today's interpretation of that, it
- 10:07Speaker 2: would be an ar fifteen or a nine millimeter like
- 10:12Speaker 2: some people are gonna straight get taken out. And then
- 10:17Speaker 2: you have dogs, birds from heaven, beasts of the earth.
- 10:24Speaker 2: The imagery is severe because the situation is severe. Judah's
- 10:30Speaker 2: rebellion wasn't a single mistake. It was a pattern that
- 10:35Speaker 2: was repeated time and time again. And we can also
- 10:38Speaker 2: remember in the last episode how it says and by
- 10:42Speaker 2: the way, I apologize for the audio in our last episode,
- 10:45Speaker 2: I'm learning a new microphone here, trying to get better
- 10:49Speaker 2: crispy sound, and it just malfunctioned yesterday, so hopefully you
- 10:55Speaker 2: heard it. But the point yesterday was that they love
- 10:59Speaker 2: to straighten their hearts. It wasn't like an accident. It
- 11:03Speaker 2: wasn't like an oops, or it wasn't like, oh, I
- 11:06Speaker 2: didn't realize it. It was like, no, they loved it.
- 11:09Speaker 2: They enjoyed it. We have to be careful because sin
- 11:12Speaker 2: is fun for a season, and we could allow our
- 11:17Speaker 2: affections to stray from God. And we can love our
- 11:21Speaker 2: sin and have idols in our hearts and love things
- 11:27Speaker 2: people places more than our love for God. So that
- 11:30Speaker 2: is definitely something we need to guard against. But Judah,
- 11:33Speaker 2: they love going astray in their hearts. And this is
- 11:39Speaker 2: one of the judgments. This is one of the reasons
- 11:42Speaker 2: why the judgment has come upon the nation in versity.
- 11:51Speaker 2: And I will point over them four forms of destruction,
- 11:55Speaker 2: says the Lord the sword, to slay, the dogs, to drag,
- 12:00Speaker 2: the birds of heaven, of the heavens, and the beasts
- 12:04Speaker 2: of the earth, to devour and to destroy it. That's
- 12:07Speaker 2: what we're just saying. Verse four. I will hand them
- 12:11Speaker 2: over to trouble to all the kingdoms of the earth
- 12:15Speaker 2: because of Manessa, the son of Hezekiah, king of Judah,
- 12:22Speaker 2: for what he did in Jerusalem. Now, this judgment is
- 12:27Speaker 2: gonna straight hit the king that was a king, and
- 12:31Speaker 2: in his reign is where the rebellion hit. It was
- 12:36Speaker 2: his reign where they were brought into exile and brought
- 12:41Speaker 2: into Babylon. Now, there was a movie called Jeremiah. They
- 12:46Speaker 2: did a little movie about this, and they did a
- 12:50Speaker 2: pretty good depiction of what happened in the Bible. And
- 12:54Speaker 2: I can't think of it. I mean, the name of
- 12:57Speaker 2: the movie I believe is Jeremiah, but I can't think
- 12:59Speaker 2: of like who produced it or whatever, because I'm pretty
- 13:02Speaker 2: sure there's other films out there. But this one was
- 13:05Speaker 2: a really good enactment of what happened. And in the movie,
- 13:12Speaker 2: it was severe. It was like it showed this king
- 13:17Speaker 2: trying to flee from Babylon and he gets caught and
- 13:21Speaker 2: captured and his sons, like you know, his family members
- 13:25Speaker 2: and stuff are caught with him, and he was dragged
- 13:29Speaker 2: back to Babylon, and the Babylonian king came out to
- 13:36Speaker 2: confront him, and then right in front of him. He
- 13:41Speaker 2: kills his sons.
- 13:43Speaker 3: He just.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Plunges them with the sword right, takes his sons out.
- 13:49Speaker 2: And then right after that he said, this will be
- 13:50Speaker 2: the last thing you see. Right after that, he gouges
- 13:54Speaker 2: his eyes out, and so this guy is blind. And
- 13:58Speaker 2: then I believe even after that, he keeps him alife,
- 14:00Speaker 2: like he keeps them in chains or he's like chained
- 14:03Speaker 2: to his table eating scraps. Like this was severe. And
- 14:10Speaker 2: I don't know, I just think of that movie and
- 14:14Speaker 2: it's it's biblically accurate. We'll read about it later on
- 14:18Speaker 2: in the book. But this king had it was we
- 14:24Speaker 2: do not want to trifle with our relationship with God. Amen?
- 14:31Speaker 2: All right?
- 14:32Speaker 5: Were we?
- 14:36Speaker 2: Verse five and six? For who will have pity on you,
- 14:43Speaker 2: old Jerusalem? Or who will bemoan you? Or who will
- 14:51Speaker 2: turn aside to ask how you were doing? You have
- 14:56Speaker 2: forsaken me, says a Lord. You have gone back. Therefore
- 15:01Speaker 2: I will stretch out my hand against you to destroy you.
- 15:07Speaker 2: I am weary of relenting. I am weary of relenting.
- 15:14Speaker 2: That's interesting. Now, who would pity you? Now? God asks
- 15:19Speaker 2: who will have compassion on Jerusalem? He says, you have
- 15:24Speaker 2: forsaken me? That's the heart of the problem right there.
- 15:30Speaker 2: That people didn't simply experience judgment. They first walked away
- 15:36Speaker 2: from their God. Right, God says they have kept going backwards.
- 15:42Speaker 2: That phrase is powerful. Instead of moving forward with God,
- 15:47Speaker 2: they were moving backwards. They were moving away from him. Now,
- 15:53Speaker 2: spiritual decline doesn't usually happen at once. It is usually
- 15:57Speaker 2: a gradual thing, a small compromise here and there. We
- 16:06Speaker 2: can ignore conviction when God tells us to do this
- 16:11Speaker 2: and do that, and we like that, We want to
- 16:14Speaker 2: ignore it because we want to do our own thing.
- 16:17Speaker 2: Or God warns us and we ignore the warning, one
- 16:29Speaker 2: decision to choose ourselves over God. Then eventually we look
- 16:36Speaker 2: up and realize we're much further away than we intended
- 16:42Speaker 2: to be. So we have to be careful of these
- 16:47Speaker 2: small choices, these small decisions. And I want to point
- 16:54Speaker 2: out how he says here and at the end of
- 17:01Speaker 2: verse six that I'm weary of relenting like God. We
- 17:06Speaker 2: know God to be merciful and long suffering and patient,
- 17:10Speaker 2: but he got to the point where he got tired
- 17:12Speaker 2: of being patient. He got tired of relenting like God.
- 17:23Speaker 2: It just shows us that God is a person. Right,
- 17:27Speaker 2: there's a personal side to God. This is a relationship.
- 17:31Speaker 2: It's almost like if your wife or husband says, you
- 17:34Speaker 2: know what, I'm tired of this marriage. I'm tired of
- 17:38Speaker 2: dealing with you. You mistreating me in this relationship. I'm
- 17:43Speaker 2: weary of it. And man, we have to start thinking
- 17:48Speaker 2: of God in a relationship way, in the way of
- 17:51Speaker 2: a relationship. Verse nine and seven, I mean seventh through nine.
- 17:57Speaker 5: And I will.
- 18:01Speaker 2: Window. I will window them with a windowing fan in
- 18:09Speaker 2: the gates of the land. I will breathe, I will
- 18:13Speaker 2: excuse me. I will bereathe them of children. I will
- 18:18Speaker 2: destroy my people. Since they do not return from their ways.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Their widows will be increased to me more than the
- 18:29Speaker 2: sand of the sea. I will bring against them, against
- 18:34Speaker 2: the mother of the young man, a plunderer. At noonday,
- 18:41Speaker 2: I will cause anguish and terror to fall on them. Suddenly,
- 18:47Speaker 2: anguish and terror. That's that's very interesting. Amen. In verse nine,
- 18:56Speaker 2: she languishes, who has born seven, She has breathed her last,
- 19:06Speaker 2: her son has gone down while it was yet day.
- 19:10Speaker 2: She has been ashamed and confounded, and the remnant of them,
- 19:16Speaker 2: I will deliver to the sword before their enemies, says
- 19:22Speaker 2: the Lord. All right, this is powerfos. Let's break this
- 19:29Speaker 2: down and then we're going to bring it home with
- 19:31Speaker 2: one more verse. Now, the consequences came personal at this point.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Right now, God describes scattering his people and destroying their hope.
- 19:49Speaker 2: At this moment, even mothers and families experienced devastating loss.
- 19:57Speaker 2: It is hard. You know, we always talk about the
- 19:59Speaker 2: crying mother, especially when something happens in the in the hood,
- 20:03Speaker 2: right when something happens, when one of the homies get
- 20:07Speaker 2: taken out, especially if they're involved in gang banging, selling
- 20:13Speaker 2: drugs or you know, illegal activity like that. You know,
- 20:16Speaker 2: we want to lament a homie and the mother. You know,
- 20:20Speaker 2: the mother has unconditional love. The mother will always cry
- 20:25Speaker 2: out for their baby, right, and so in this instance,
- 20:37Speaker 2: it says the mother will experience devastating loss. Now, what
- 20:48Speaker 2: this is saying is it shows how widespread the judgment
- 20:52Speaker 2: is going to be. The nation at once became a
- 20:58Speaker 2: strong nation would now become vulnerable. Does that sound familiar?
- 21:04Speaker 2: Does that sound like the United States? This reminds us
- 21:10Speaker 2: that sin doesn't stay isolated. Our choices can affect families, communities,
- 21:15Speaker 2: and even generations behind us. We always say, you know,
- 21:20Speaker 2: I've heard people say I'm only hurting myself, or I'm
- 21:23Speaker 2: only gonna be the one that will suffer, and things
- 21:26Speaker 2: like that. But no, the truth is sin will pass
- 21:32Speaker 2: through to your children, into your family, and sometimes the
- 21:36Speaker 2: children will take where the parents left off and go
- 21:39Speaker 2: even further and be even worse. Hey, man, we need
- 21:48Speaker 2: to pray for our children, all right. Verse ten, woe
- 21:53Speaker 2: is me, my mother, that you have borne me a
- 21:58Speaker 2: man of strife in it, man of contention to the
- 22:03Speaker 2: whole earth. I have neither lent for interest, nor have
- 22:11Speaker 2: men lent to me for interest. Every one of them
- 22:17Speaker 2: curses me, every one of them curses me. Now Jeremiah says,
- 22:29Speaker 2: woe is me, my mother, that you have born me? Now,
- 22:34Speaker 2: why is Jeremiah?
- 22:35Speaker 1: Now?
- 22:36Speaker 2: These are the words of Jeremiah and his response to
- 22:39Speaker 2: this heavy burden, this heavy judgment that he has to
- 22:43Speaker 2: pronounce upon the nation. Now, at this point, Jeremiah is exhausted.
- 22:53Speaker 2: He didn't create Judah's rebellion, but he's suffering because he
- 22:58Speaker 2: is the messenger delivered bring God's warning to the people. Now,
- 23:03Speaker 2: some of us we have to bear the burden of
- 23:07Speaker 2: our community. We may not be the ones, we're the
- 23:10Speaker 2: ones who are trying to live right, trying to live
- 23:12Speaker 2: a righteous life before the Lord. We're the ones who
- 23:16Speaker 2: are trying to do this thing. But then the Lord
- 23:20Speaker 2: may send us out to go and warn and speak
- 23:23Speaker 2: to the people. He has to deliver this heavy, heavy
- 23:33Speaker 2: message to the people who do not want to hear it,
- 23:37Speaker 2: and then they turn against them to the point where
- 23:40Speaker 2: they don't want him. Often you see people turn against
- 23:46Speaker 2: the messenger of God, and they don't realize how much
- 23:51Speaker 2: of an act of love it is for people to
- 23:53Speaker 2: put themselves in their heart under Harm's way to try
- 23:58Speaker 2: to reach them. Right, he's caught between his calling and
- 24:06Speaker 2: the people that he's trying to reach. Now, this is important.
- 24:09Speaker 2: Sometimes doing the right thing doesn't make everything else okay.
- 24:15Speaker 2: It doesn't mean that people are gonna like you. I
- 24:17Speaker 2: can remember when I opened up Club His Hop. It
- 24:20Speaker 2: was a victory and a breakthrough for our ministry. And
- 24:24Speaker 2: you would think that people would cheer you on, they
- 24:27Speaker 2: would encourage you when you give your life to God
- 24:31Speaker 2: and you embark on the call of God. But a
- 24:35Speaker 2: lot of people were upset and there was a lot
- 24:41Speaker 2: of opposition in that ministry. But that's a story for
- 24:49Speaker 2: another podcast. Right, Sometimes obedience will make us unpopular. We
- 24:56Speaker 2: have to be ready for that. Sometimes standing for God's
- 25:00Speaker 2: truth means standing alone, standing by ourselves. Jeremiah right here,
- 25:05Speaker 2: it teaches us, don't measure your obedience by people's approval,
- 25:13Speaker 2: measure it by God's word. Let God's word be the
- 25:18Speaker 2: final authority. The joy of the Lord is our strength.
- 25:24Speaker 2: But I can imagine this heavy, heavy burden on the
- 25:30Speaker 2: heart of Jeremiah. But basically he had to oversee the
- 25:33Speaker 2: destruction of his nation, of his kinsmen. And I don't
- 25:42Speaker 2: believe that he won that one convert. I don't think
- 25:46Speaker 2: he had one disciple.
- 25:48Speaker 4: It looks like you lost another one.
- 25:50Speaker 2: I don't think he saw one person turn from their
- 25:54Speaker 2: wicked ways. The people were prideful, arrogant, and persistent, and
- 26:01Speaker 2: they persecuted Jeremiah, they sent him, they locked them up
- 26:04Speaker 2: in jail. And so Jeremiah is expressing his heart towards God.
- 26:10Speaker 2: And it's okay for us to express our heart towards God.
- 26:16Speaker 2: God actually prefers it instead of gossiping or complaining or
- 26:22Speaker 2: anything else. Let's go be for God and be brutally honest,
- 26:27Speaker 2: and know that we can express our hearts and our
- 26:31Speaker 2: thoughts before him. Amen.
- 26:36Speaker 7: All right, family, it's time for a break. You are
- 26:40Speaker 7: listening to the light of Las Vegas. This is the
- 26:44Speaker 7: Hiss Hop Radio Show.
- 27:06Speaker 6: I be praying like I'm throwing handstead of folded hands,
- 27:08Speaker 6: folded chairs.
- 27:09Speaker 5: After mis McMahon, how I'm going in. What you wrestling there?
- 27:12Speaker 5: And take me in. I lend the help in hand

- 29:08Speaker 5: That's all I know. I know, I know, I know.
- 29:11Speaker 5: Let's change the plot. God through the script like directors know.
- 29:14Speaker 5: I'm not ludicrous. I started fast and like I'm furious.
- 29:17Speaker 6: I ain't lying to you either, started purring like a
- 29:19Speaker 6: lying on a zebra, started reading.
- 29:21Speaker 5: Like I'm curious. I used to question God like Sirian.
- 29:24Speaker 5: Now I'm serious. He said, we don't do the blasphem
- 29:26Speaker 5: me if his woe ain't gonna need the blast. God,
- 29:28Speaker 5: I've been fighting my battles.
- 29:29Speaker 8: This casualation's cavalry, this that moment's hoping to flow.
- 29:32Speaker 5: God transformed me.
- 29:33Speaker 6: I can't decarn on my mind changed.
- 29:35Speaker 5: I can't think nor of my faith. For the line delusional,
- 29:37Speaker 5: I don't be rational, just.
- 29:39Speaker 8: That radical, just that resist that practical biblical.
- 29:43Speaker 5: I can't be typical, should be criminal.
- 29:45Speaker 3: I'm talking like minimum sickness to give God, minimum praying
- 29:47Speaker 3: and what he's paid one minimum wage to raise don't
- 29:50Speaker 3: pay when he raised on the third day.
- 29:53Speaker 5: Now can we talk about the cross kyrie as hard
- 29:56Speaker 5: for the time with.
- 29:57Speaker 6: Decernment or seram churches turner secre say's for certain in
- 30:00Speaker 6: your favorite survey, I'll be seeing surf insists.
- 30:03Speaker 5: Like a nurse.
- 30:04Speaker 6: Is this prophet or property is so contradict they can
- 30:06Speaker 6: make them coexist and see susist the wear I how much.
- 30:08Speaker 5: Did they come from the screen tables getting sick?
- 30:10Speaker 6: I'll be getting hit the house could have winner Christ
- 30:11Speaker 6: and now I won't really get it.
- 30:12Speaker 5: In Jesus for the wind.
- 30:15Speaker 8: Beware of full profits who come to you in sheep's clothing,
- 30:20Speaker 8: but inward lead they are ravenous wolves. So what he's
- 30:24Speaker 8: saying that the most dangerous were to the ears of
- 30:27Speaker 8: real believers are the voices of a worse I told stories.
- 30:30Speaker 5: They full of it. I hear preaching line from the
- 30:33Speaker 5: screen of my iPhone. I said, Jesson, little word you
- 30:35Speaker 5: say preach. I see python. That's the snake. That's a wool,
- 30:38Speaker 5: not an iPhone. Glitch. Wait wait, wait, Now imagine this.
- 30:52Speaker 2: If a man had one hundred sheet and one of
- 30:54Speaker 2: them went a strade, when.
- 30:55Speaker 8: Did he leading ninety nine on the hill to go
- 30:56Speaker 8: find a one.
- 30:57Speaker 3: He's gonna make sure the other ninety nine safe, but
- 30:58Speaker 3: he gonna find that one.
- 31:01Speaker 7: You are listening to the Light of Las Vegas. This
- 31:05Speaker 7: is the His Hop Radio show.
- 31:24Speaker 2: All right, y'all, All right, y'all. This is your brother.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Mis is His Hop and I am back. You are
- 31:28Speaker 2: listening to the His Hot Radio podcast, presenting verse by verse.
- 31:33Speaker 2: We're in the Book of Jeremiah. I want to give
- 31:36Speaker 2: a quick shout out to our brother's Zone three and
- 31:39Speaker 2: our sister Kira and Misses His Hop and everybody else
- 31:44Speaker 2: who's dropped in from time to time. Quincy and Western
- 31:49Speaker 2: Tech and all you guys, Corinth, everyone who has came
- 31:53Speaker 2: through to the live chats, we appreciate y'all. This is
- 31:57Speaker 2: where we build up each other, is faith. This is
- 32:01Speaker 2: where we help hold each other accountable. You know, the
- 32:04Speaker 2: Bible tells us that the road to life is narrow,
- 32:08Speaker 2: and there are a few who find it. So this
- 32:12Speaker 2: app is for the few, because we don't have to
- 32:15Speaker 2: do this alone. We can encourage each other. We can
- 32:18Speaker 2: post questions, we could post prayer request, we could pray
- 32:24Speaker 2: for each other, we can do conference calls after the podcast.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Like there's a lot that we could do to help
- 32:30Speaker 2: each other on this road. But we also want to
- 32:34Speaker 2: encourage you to get plugged in with your home church.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Hopefully you do have one. Hopefully you have someone that
- 32:40Speaker 2: can an accountability partner, someone that can pray with us,
- 32:45Speaker 2: because one thing I've learned about the Book of Jeremiah
- 32:50Speaker 2: is that the evil dictates of our hearts can really
- 32:54Speaker 2: get us in trouble, and we need the word of
- 32:57Speaker 2: God to cleanse our hearts. We have thoughts, we have imaginations,
- 33:01Speaker 2: we have temptations. We get bombarded all the time, and
- 33:05Speaker 2: so we don't have a prayer life and if we
- 33:07Speaker 2: don't hide Guy's word in our hearts, we're vulnerable. And
- 33:11Speaker 2: if we don't have someone we can call and say, hey,
- 33:14Speaker 2: pray with me, then you know, we're basically missing out
- 33:20Speaker 2: on the armor and the weapons we need to fight
- 33:24Speaker 2: in this warfare that we are in. And so that's
- 33:28Speaker 2: what this segment is about. The Accountability Partner segment, we
- 33:31Speaker 2: give you daily challenges to get in contact, to call
- 33:34Speaker 2: your accountability partner, text them, email them or something like
- 33:38Speaker 2: that and have honest conversations with them, right. And we
- 33:42Speaker 2: also like to post them in a live chat where
- 33:45Speaker 2: you can fall back and kind of rigid and go
- 33:48Speaker 2: through the exercises. And also on the app it self,
- 33:51Speaker 2: hit that top left menu and hit that drop down,
- 33:56Speaker 2: click on podcasts and click on yours truly his out
- 33:59Speaker 2: radio podcast. By the way, if you miss the podcast,
- 34:03Speaker 2: that's where you can go to the archive or the
- 34:05Speaker 2: replay and you can catch it later. Our brother is
- 34:09Speaker 2: own three. He hits up the replay when he's not
- 34:11Speaker 2: able to meet us every day at eleven, so that's
- 34:15Speaker 2: another option for you. But once you go to the podcast,
- 34:19Speaker 2: go down to the link that says accountability Partner, answer
- 34:23Speaker 2: those questions. Go through those questions and answer them for
- 34:26Speaker 2: yourself and just kind of see where you're at. But
- 34:29Speaker 2: the only way it works is if we have integrity
- 34:31Speaker 2: and we have to be honest with ourselves, right because
- 34:34Speaker 2: I believe the worst form of deception is self deception,
- 34:38Speaker 2: when we deceive ourselves, and the best way we can
- 34:41Speaker 2: guard against it is by having Guy's word in our heart.
- 34:46Speaker 2: And that's what the accountability partner is for, is to say,
- 34:48Speaker 2: you know what, you got some funky stuff in your
- 34:51Speaker 2: heart here, you need to replace it with Guy's word.
- 34:56Speaker 2: So here is today's challenge. Ask your accountability part is
- 35:00Speaker 2: there an area where I'm compromising because I'm afraid of
- 35:06Speaker 2: people's opinions. That's a good one. Then identify one specific
- 35:14Speaker 2: situation where you need to choose obedience over man's approval,
- 35:22Speaker 2: and then pray about it together. There's always power in agreement.
- 35:27Speaker 2: Amen Hala Lujan. Also, I want to let you know
- 35:32Speaker 2: that his Hot Radio is a monitored and a reporting
- 35:37Speaker 2: radio station. That means we don't just play music over
- 35:40Speaker 2: the internet. We do have three different charts that we
- 35:43Speaker 2: report too, and the app itself is a chart. Once
- 35:47Speaker 2: your favorite song plays hit that thumbs up button next
- 35:50Speaker 2: to it. You can give it five stars. And if
- 35:53Speaker 2: you are an artist you would like to submit your music,
- 35:56Speaker 2: go to our website his hot nation dot com. Hit
- 35:59Speaker 2: that submission tab, fill out the info, and also check
- 36:03Speaker 2: out a promo package is very affordable and it would
- 36:07Speaker 2: be helpful to help you get that exposure that you're
- 36:11Speaker 2: looking for. Man, all right, it is time for today's
- 36:26Speaker 2: trivia question, our trivia champ. Now, my wife keeps challenging
- 36:36Speaker 2: me to make these questions harder. So she said the
- 36:38Speaker 2: question the other day was weak as well, according to her,
- 36:43Speaker 2: But I don't know. I think we're up in the game.
- 36:49Speaker 2: But we'll take another stab at it today. So the
- 36:54Speaker 2: question is in Jeremiah fifteen one God names two specific,
- 37:00Speaker 2: specific biblical figures whose presence before him would still not
- 37:06Speaker 2: change his decision concerning Judah. Who were the two men?
- 37:17Speaker 2: Who were the two men the first the suppost to
- 37:21Speaker 2: answer is a trivia champ for today, and we will
- 37:25Speaker 2: announce the winner on tomorrow's episode. All right, our next
- 37:35Speaker 2: segment is our community shout out. This is where we
- 37:39Speaker 2: give updates about our activities, our whereabouts and the things
- 37:44Speaker 2: that you guys can get involved in wed like to
- 37:48Speaker 2: invite you to come out to our events to volunteer.
- 37:51Speaker 2: Sometimes I will bless you if you just want to
- 37:54Speaker 2: serve others. Amen. And we have a lot of spots
- 38:01Speaker 2: in the community where we can plug you in. If
- 38:04Speaker 2: it's not our event, we could definitely get you plugged
- 38:07Speaker 2: into feeding the homeless or different things like that, helping
- 38:12Speaker 2: the community. You know, whatever God has placed in your
- 38:16Speaker 2: heart in your life to do. But this Saturday, we
- 38:21Speaker 2: have a back to school event at our church, Fresh
- 38:25Speaker 2: Wing Community Church off a gallon and Rancho, So we
- 38:30Speaker 2: need y'all to show up for that. If you have supplies,
- 38:35Speaker 2: if you I mean not have sapalmo. Yeah, you can
- 38:38Speaker 2: always donate if you want to. But if you're a child,
- 38:42Speaker 2: if you have a child, they need school supplies and
- 38:44Speaker 2: there's an opportunity to get some this weekend. And also
- 38:50Speaker 2: we will be at the Resort World. I will be
- 38:52Speaker 2: DJing on the ones and Tuesa, August twenty ninth. That
- 38:58Speaker 2: event is going to go down and that is more
- 39:00Speaker 2: like a business mixer event, but all are invited. You
- 39:07Speaker 2: need to come out. Maybe you have a business idea,
- 39:10Speaker 2: maybe you are in business and you would like to
- 39:12Speaker 2: make some connections. This would be a great event to
- 39:16Speaker 2: come out and check that out as well. But before
- 39:25Speaker 2: we move on, I do want to ask for your
- 39:29Speaker 2: prayers my wife, not my wife, my mother. She's in Michigan.
- 39:35Speaker 2: There's a whole story concerning her. But I've been on
- 39:40Speaker 2: the phone with my siblings a lot yesterday because she
- 39:45Speaker 2: is actually on life support and we have to make
- 39:50Speaker 2: the decision this morning whether or not keep her on
- 39:55Speaker 2: life support. Now, I pray that God will do a miracle,
- 40:01Speaker 2: and we prayed that we would have one or two
- 40:04Speaker 2: days just to see if God will improve her situation
- 40:08Speaker 2: before we have to make the decision. So if we
- 40:13Speaker 2: can do this before we end out this podcast, so
- 40:20Speaker 2: we get pray together for my mom for God to
- 40:23Speaker 2: do a miraculous work before our time is up. Now
- 40:29Speaker 2: I'm in Vegas, they're in Michigan. They're like three hours
- 40:32Speaker 2: ahead of us. So my brother probably already got the
- 40:35Speaker 2: news because we wanted to see if she could improve overnight.
- 40:40Speaker 2: So this time of me doing this podcast, we haven't
- 40:45Speaker 2: made the decision yet, so I want to pray before
- 40:49Speaker 2: the Lord. So I'm gonna go ahead and get our
- 40:55Speaker 2: closing comments and some life application real quick so that
- 41:05Speaker 2: we can get to that prayer. So here's our life application.
- 41:09Speaker 2: Jeremiah fifteen one through ten gives us several lessons. God
- 41:15Speaker 2: his patient, but his patience has a limit. Now, do
- 41:21Speaker 2: not continuously reject God's correction while assuming everything will always
- 41:26Speaker 2: be okay. Those deck of cars can come crashing down
- 41:31Speaker 2: at any moment. Also, we learn that sin has consequences.
- 41:37Speaker 2: Forgiveness doesn't mean we never experience the consequences of our choices.
- 41:46Speaker 2: We can rob the bank and ask God to forgive us,
- 41:48Speaker 2: but that doesn't mean that we're not going to go
- 41:50Speaker 2: to prison. Right, we could be forgiven, we still have
- 41:55Speaker 2: to deal with our consequences. Intercession matters, but repentance matters
- 42:02Speaker 2: even more. We should pray for people, but people must
- 42:07Speaker 2: ultimately respond to God, and they need to repent. Obedience
- 42:13Speaker 2: can be lonely. Jeremiah didn't have a popular standing with
- 42:19Speaker 2: the people, right, he was very unpopular, and God understands
- 42:26Speaker 2: when his servant is hurting. Jeremiah's emotional pain wasn't hidden
- 42:31Speaker 2: from God. So God understands, and I believe that we
- 42:38Speaker 2: need to take our situations to him. Amen. Are you
- 42:46Speaker 2: willing to obey God even when obedience makes you unpopular. Amen. Now,
- 43:02Speaker 2: God's mercy should never become an excuse for our rebellion. Right,
- 43:07Speaker 2: Judah had been warned repeatedly, but had and they also
- 43:13Speaker 2: had opportunities to repent, and they had profits that were
- 43:20Speaker 2: speaking to them, but they continued moving backwards instead of
- 43:25Speaker 2: moving forward. And Jeremiah shows us another side of obedience.
- 43:30Speaker 2: Sometimes being faithful is painful. Sometimes a person delivering the
- 43:36Speaker 2: message is hurting too. If you're doing what God has
- 43:43Speaker 2: called you to do and you're not receiving applause, don't
- 43:46Speaker 2: automatically assume you're doing something wrong. Amen. As a matter
- 43:52Speaker 2: of fact, that's a sign that you're doing something right.
- 44:00Speaker 2: May not have been popular, but Jeremiah was faithful, and
- 44:03Speaker 2: that's what God is looking He's looking for good and
- 44:07Speaker 2: faithful servants, and that's what he's asking from us. Don't
- 44:12Speaker 2: compromise the truth just to gain acceptance. Don't abandon your
- 44:17Speaker 2: calling because people criticize you. And don't confuse popularity for
- 44:22Speaker 2: what God approves. Just because it may be popular doesn't
- 44:30Speaker 2: mean that God approves of it. Amen. We need to
- 44:34Speaker 2: stay faithful, we need to stay humble, We need to
- 44:36Speaker 2: stay in God's word, all right, let's pray out for today, Father,
- 44:43Speaker 2: Heavenlie Father, I bring up my mother once again, Karen Walker. Well,
- 44:50Speaker 2: he asked, Father, God, that your will will be done
- 44:55Speaker 2: in her life. The doctor's family members are saying that
- 45:01Speaker 2: her quality of life is just not there, that it
- 45:05Speaker 2: would be a merciful thing and a humane thing to
- 45:10Speaker 2: do is to pull the plug in to allow her
- 45:14Speaker 2: to pass away. But Father, we want to know first
- 45:19Speaker 2: of all that she is right with you.
- 45:21Speaker 4: God.
- 45:21Speaker 2: We asked that you'll give her the opportunity, give her
- 45:24Speaker 2: a right mind. Send somebody bold with the Gospel, or God,
- 45:29Speaker 2: send somebody bold enough to preach to her, even if
- 45:33Speaker 2: it seems like she cannot hear. Oh God, give her
- 45:41Speaker 2: another opportunity before she meets you, Father God, face to face.
- 45:48Speaker 2: Even though I didn't have a relationship with her, Father,
- 45:51Speaker 2: I love her. You've given me a love for her.
- 45:53Speaker 2: I forgive her, and Father, we want to usher her
- 45:57Speaker 2: into your presence. So we come against the stratages. We
- 46:01Speaker 2: come against the lives of Satan. I applied the blood
- 46:04Speaker 2: of Jesus upon her soul. Oh God, give her another opportunity,
- 46:09Speaker 2: O God Lord, to return if she has already slipped
- 46:13Speaker 2: into eternity. Let her return and cry out for you,
- 46:15Speaker 2: O God and Father. I'm asking for total and complete healing,
- 46:21Speaker 2: O God, that she will have a good quality of life. God,
- 46:24Speaker 2: restore her mind, her emotions, her body, her youth, Allow
- 46:31Speaker 2: old God to experience her family in a way that
- 46:34Speaker 2: she has never before. God, and we come against these
- 46:38Speaker 2: foul and wicked spirits, O God, send your angels. O Lord.
- 46:42Speaker 2: We pray Father God to do warfare. And Lord, I'm
- 46:47Speaker 2: asking for a miraculous healing and a miracle that when
- 46:51Speaker 2: all see, they will have to believe that there is
- 46:54Speaker 2: a true and living God, that they will know it
- 46:56Speaker 2: was you. Father and Father, we asked ultimately for your
- 47:02Speaker 2: will to be done, and we asked this in Jesus' name.
- 47:09Speaker 2: Hey man, thank you for your agreement.
- 47:13Speaker 7: You are listening to the Light of Las Vegas. This
- 47:17Speaker 7: is the Hiss Hop Radio Show.
