- 0:21Sean McAllister: We reveal why, what it is, and where you can see it too.
- 0:26Dayna Roselli: And it's been 30 years since the classic film casino was released.
- 0:30Dayna Roselli: A lot of it was shot right here in Las Vegas, and you can now celebrate and give back at a special event at Oscar Steakhouse over at the Plaza.
- 0:38Sean McAllister: That and more coming up now on Vegas Revealed.
- 0:42SPEAKER_02: Vegas Revealed, presented by Galindo Law, starts now.
- 0:47Sean McAllister: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 295.
- 0:51Sean McAllister: Sean McAllister and Dana Roselli here with you.
- 0:54Sean McAllister: Hi.
- 0:55Dayna Roselli: Hi.
- 0:55Dayna Roselli: You know, before we get into everything, I wanted to mention the other night I went to Esther's Kitchen in downtown Las Vegas on a Sunday night.
- 1:02Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 1:03Dayna Roselli: And I could not believe, Sean, how packed it was.
- 1:06Dayna Roselli: The whole restaurant was full the entire time we were there from 6 p.m.
- 1:10Dayna Roselli: until like 10 o'clock.
- 1:11Sean McAllister: On a Sunday night.
- 1:12Dayna Roselli: And I had no idea this was a hop and place on a Sunday evening.
- 1:16Dayna Roselli: But again, when we talk about, obviously, I know we talk a lot about, oh, Vegas is slow, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:23Dayna Roselli: It's not slow.
- 1:24Dayna Roselli: It's packed.
- 1:25Dayna Roselli: I have friends that just tried to make a reservation at Mother Wolf at Fountain Blue.
- 1:29Dayna Roselli: Um, we're actually recording this very early.
- 1:31Dayna Roselli: So two weeks out on a Saturday, they wanted to make a reservation and it's booked.
- 1:37Dayna Roselli: So it's just crazy to me.
- 1:39Dayna Roselli: Um, just continually.
- 1:41Dayna Roselli: I just don't see it, and I don't know.
- 1:43Dayna Roselli: I know there's times that it's slow.
- 1:45Dayna Roselli: But anyway, I was very happy to see a downtown restaurant thriving on a Sunday night.
- 1:51Sean McAllister: Man, that's that's great.
- 1:52Sean McAllister: Maybe people go there for their Sunday supper and have it as like their their place.
- 1:58Dayna Roselli: Big groups were there, lots of friends.
- 2:01Dayna Roselli: A lot of friend groups.
- 2:02Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it was interesting.
- 2:03Dayna Roselli: I actually ran into John Castlamedes.
- 2:05Dayna Roselli: He was walking by, I was like, Oh, there's all these like familiar faces there too.
- 2:08Dayna Roselli: It was fun.
- 2:09Sean McAllister: The spot to be.
- 2:10Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 2:10Sean McAllister: I was actually I met up with a couple friends from college recently who were in town.
- 2:16Sean McAllister: Um, and they they kind of made a comment about how busy Vegas was too.
- 2:21Sean McAllister: They were like, gosh, we weren't expecting it to be like this, but isn't Vegas still busy even when it's slow?
- 2:28Sean McAllister: So yeah, it is because there's still a lot of people coming in even when we are slow.
- 2:34Sean McAllister: Right.
- 2:34Dayna Roselli: That's the point, right?
- 2:36Sean McAllister: That's the point.
- 2:37Dayna Roselli: Well, listen, we love to tell you about new things.
- 2:39Dayna Roselli: Just a reminder the Vegas Near Me app is a great app to have if you're coming to visit us in Las Vegas or if you live here.
- 2:46Dayna Roselli: They've been really trying to um put themselves out there a little more on social media and push some of the things that they offer.
- 2:51Dayna Roselli: And it just reminded me like, you know, if you want to go to the mall, they've got like a list of every store, they've got the hours, the maps, they have great parking information before you head out to park.
- 3:02Sean McAllister: I actually just used the app to find the coffee shop inside of Mandalay Bay.
- 3:07Sean McAllister: Good.
- 3:08Sean McAllister: Because you can look up the name of the place that you're looking for, and then click on place maps, and it'll show you exactly where inside of the casino that you need to go.
- 3:18Dayna Roselli: I love that.
- 3:19Sean McAllister: It was a huge help.
- 3:20Dayna Roselli: Yeah, they have deals.
- 3:21Dayna Roselli: You can book an Uber, uh, you can book show tickets.
- 3:24Dayna Roselli: So it's great.
- 3:24Dayna Roselli: Vegas Near Me, go in, find it on your phone.
- 3:28Dayna Roselli: The app's available on both phones, whether you have an Android or you have an iPhone, and download it for free.
- 3:35Dayna Roselli: You don't need to put in a username, your email, any of that stuff.
- 3:38Dayna Roselli: So definitely have it handy.
- 3:39Sean McAllister: And you know what you may find on Vegas Near Me now, a new addition, uh Symphony Park in downtown Las Vegas.
- 3:47Sean McAllister: That's the area where you find the Smith Center, the World Market Center, uh, the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health.
- 3:54Sean McAllister: They have a new non-smoking, non-gaming hotel that recently opened down there.
- 4:00Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and we're talking brand new, like built beautiful.
- 4:03Sean McAllister: From the ground up, yeah.
- 4:04Dayna Roselli: Yeah, we went over there just to check it out.
- 4:06Dayna Roselli: They were having like a celebration.
- 4:07Dayna Roselli: It had been open for a little while, like a month or so, but they had a party.
- 4:11Dayna Roselli: Um, it's called the AC Las Vegas Symphony Park, and it's the only dual-branded hotel in Las Vegas.
- 4:19Dayna Roselli: And like you mentioned, Sean, it's the first non-gaming property in Symphony Park.
- 4:25Dayna Roselli: Um, but they yeah, they dual brand.
- 4:27Dayna Roselli: So it's like Marriott and Weston, Element by Weston, and then AC Hotel by Marriott.
- 4:32Dayna Roselli: And so they've come together to open, which when we walked in the doors, I thought was a just a stunning, comfortable hotel and environment.
- 4:41Sean McAllister: Oh, and it, I mean, brand new.
- 4:43Sean McAllister: It was very sleek, very but comfortable at the same time.
- 4:47Sean McAllister: There were lots of lounge spaces where you could just kind of hang out.
- 4:51Sean McAllister: Um, but they have restaurants, they have bars in there, a cute pool area, too.
- 4:57Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh, it was adorable.
- 4:58Dayna Roselli: I was like, I would come out and hang here.
- 5:00Dayna Roselli: So before we get too in deep, let's hear um from Michelle Wheeler.
- 5:04Dayna Roselli: She's the CEO and president of Jackson Shaw Company.
- 5:07Dayna Roselli: She was in town for the celebration, and we chatted with her to get the lowdown about this new spot.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: This hotel has been a long time in the making.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: We started this in 2017.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: COVID actually derailed it for a little bit.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: And so, you know, we're tonight is a night to really celebrate years and years of work by a team of professionals that really stuck with it and had the fortitude to say, we are going to make this happen.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: This is a non-gaming, non-smoking hotel.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: It's the first AC in Symphony Park, it's the first non-gaming hotel in Symphony Park, and it's the world's largest.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: We have terrace areas, we have 18,000 square feet of meeting room space, we're centrally located between multiple icons, the Smith Center, the World Market Center.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: We're a non-gaming, non-smoking, we're ready to house any events.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: We're just really excited to be part of this area.
- 6:02Dayna Roselli: Seems like people have been asking for non-smoking properties more and more money.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but you know, we built our first one in Las Vegas in 2004.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: So we were on the forefront of non-gaming, non-smoking.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: So we wanted to be just part of the community, and that's people really responded well to that in terms of their group travel business.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: We're two blocks from Fremont.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: We're right across the street.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: If you want to go see a show at the Performing Arts Center, um, you can go to the Center for Brain Health, you can go to the Cleveland Clinic, we're close to UNLV, walk across to the World Market Center.
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: It's just a great location.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: I think what we're really excited about is all of the energy that's happening here with the new condo project, with the new art museum that's coming, with the children's museum.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: I mean, we just like to be part of this community.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: Um, and the city of Las Vegas really was cutting edge on making sure that they wanted to do something to this area.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: I mean, there's not another piece of vacant land here now.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: So if you look, it's really been transformative.
- 6:58Sean McAllister: I mean, what a great addition to Symphony Park because that is an area that has been in the process of being built up over the last few years.
- 7:08Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 7:08Sean McAllister: The Smith Center was the first big draw, but there weren't really restaurants.
- 7:13Sean McAllister: And then Vicks opened down there.
- 7:15Sean McAllister: That was the first kind of restaurant where you could go and have a meal and then just stroll over to see a show.
- 7:22Sean McAllister: And it's great to see the residential stuff, the hotel now opening down there.
- 7:27Sean McAllister: Um, it's exciting to see.
- 7:29Dayna Roselli: And don't forget that outlet mall.
- 7:30Dayna Roselli: It's a really good outlet mall.
- 7:31Dayna Roselli: And people love their outlet malls.
- 7:32Dayna Roselli: We've got tons of great brands over there and restaurants too.
- 7:37Dayna Roselli: So that's right there as well.
- 7:39Dayna Roselli: There's a lot to do in that area, you know.
- 7:41Dayna Roselli: You forget.
- 7:41Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's a five-story development, 441 guest rooms, so plenty of space.
- 7:47Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 7:48Dayna Roselli: I liked the vibe.
- 7:49Dayna Roselli: I really did.
- 7:50Sean McAllister: It was it was good.
- 7:51Sean McAllister: I look forward to going back and uh spending a little time there, even if it's just a hangout at the lounge.
- 7:57Sean McAllister: Right.
- 7:58Sean McAllister: I'm all for it.
- 7:58Dayna Roselli: I know that was good.
- 8:00Dayna Roselli: Hey, right over the bridge, kind of from that, is Oscar's Steakhouse at the plaza, and they're doing something special.
- 8:06Dayna Roselli: Um, if you want to give back, you want to be entertained, you want to hear some stories, have a good meal, all that, you can get your seat and celebrate the 30th anniversary of the film Casino, which came out because we were like, wait, has it been 30 years in November of 1995?
- 8:28Dayna Roselli: 1995.
- 8:29Dayna Roselli: So that actually this month.
- 8:31Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 8:32Dayna Roselli: November 22nd.
- 8:33Sean McAllister: Look at even more nostalgia coming back to the forefront right now with a movie casino.
- 8:39Sean McAllister: Obviously, here in Las Vegas, we love it because there are so many familiar faces, including our former mayor, Oscar Goodman, who appeared in the film and so many spots around town, some spots that are no longer here, but you know, some houses, all that kind of stuff.
- 8:56Sean McAllister: People love seeing them in person after being up there on the big screen.
- 9:00Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I guess they filmed, you know, several of some of the really memorable scenes in the movie there.
- 9:07Dayna Roselli: So how cool would that be to go there and visit with Oscar Goodman and be in one of, you know, in the area where they film some of these scenes and then have a great dinner, and it's gonna feel like a very old school night.
- 9:20Dayna Roselli: So here's what they're doing.
- 9:21Dayna Roselli: They're doing it, you know.
- 9:22Dayna Roselli: I we've talked, I think, in the past about, you know, his his dinner series, Oscar's dinner series.
- 9:27Dayna Roselli: Well, they're gonna celebrate um the Space 2.0 Capital campaign.
- 9:31Dayna Roselli: They're raising funds.
- 9:32Dayna Roselli: Um, you may know or may not know of Mark Chinook.
- 9:35Dayna Roselli: He is um, well, the voice of the Vegas Golden Knights games gets the crowd rallied up, gets gets folks to crank the siren.
- 9:44Dayna Roselli: Um, he also is now a wrestling, WWE wrestling ring announcer, right?
- 9:51Sean McAllister: Yeah, yeah.
- 9:51Sean McAllister: He's uh kind of recently started on with the WWE.
- 9:55Sean McAllister: He's done a lot of uh boxing, uh hosted a lot of boxing events.
- 10:00Sean McAllister: Um he's he's all over the he's been on Broadway.
- 10:03Sean McAllister: He's done, he's done it all.
- 10:05Dayna Roselli: He's done it all.
- 10:05Dayna Roselli: He opened the space years ago.
- 10:07Dayna Roselli: It's a very successful spot.
- 10:08Dayna Roselli: Um, there's a lot of different programming in there, special events, shows.
- 10:12Dayna Roselli: They have a podcast studio.
- 10:14Dayna Roselli: Um, and it's wonderful.
- 10:16Dayna Roselli: They have Monday's dark there every Monday where the industry, you know, performers come out and put on shows for charity.
- 10:22Dayna Roselli: He raises money for different charities all the time.
- 10:24Dayna Roselli: Well, now he's wants to extend the space 2.0 is something that we've talked about in the past, but um, it's gonna help and be a place for a lot of people in the industry.
- 10:37Dayna Roselli: Um, and we're talking like first responders, uh, people who work at the hotel casinos, locals.
- 10:43Dayna Roselli: So they're raising money for that.
- 10:45Dayna Roselli: And to do that, they're doing a bunch of different events.
- 10:47Dayna Roselli: This is one of them.
- 10:48Dayna Roselli: Now, the ticket's 500 bucks plus tax, but you are a giving back, like I said, you're getting a full dinner, and then you are getting entertainment and drinks, and Oscar's gonna speak and tell stories, and it just sounds like a fabulous night.
- 11:07Sean McAllister: Well, and this is not just an in and out kind of a deal.
- 11:11Sean McAllister: They have the cocktail reception starting at six, dinner at seven, and then the entertainment is starting at nine.
- 11:19Sean McAllister: So you're getting uh an entire evening of food, beverage, and entertainment for the cost of that ticket that you know is gonna go back and help the Las Vegas community and the people who live here and make uh Las Vegas work.
- 11:35Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 11:35Dayna Roselli: So true.
- 11:36Dayna Roselli: It's November 12th, and Oscar is gonna share some of his legendary stories of the alleged mobsters who inspired the movie Casino, as well as his own personal experience with filming his scene, and hosting the movie's iconic actor.
- 11:51Dayna Roselli: So, you know, a lot of times we hear stories from him, but this is all gonna center around casino.
- 11:56Dayna Roselli: You know, 30 years later he's gonna reveal some of these stories, and he's such a great storyteller.
- 12:00Sean McAllister: Oh, he's incredible.
- 12:01Sean McAllister: And I love how he always says the alleged mob, the alleged mafia, the alleged gangster.
- 12:09Sean McAllister: That's those that's his lawyer roots coming out right there.
- 12:12Sean McAllister: That's for sure.
- 12:13Sean McAllister: Um, but this is going to be limited to only 140 guests.
- 12:18Sean McAllister: So this is going to be an in-demand ticket.
- 12:21Sean McAllister: Uh, if you have any desire to go to this, we recommend uh getting your tickets now.
- 12:27Sean McAllister: You can go to thespacelv.com.
- 12:33Sean McAllister: Again, uh the tickets are five hundred dollars per person.
- 12:36Sean McAllister: I think once tickets uh fees are added in, it's like thirty bucks more per ticket.
- 12:42Sean McAllister: Um, but it's gonna be a great night with Oscar Goodman.
- 12:46Sean McAllister: Always you're gonna come away with it with your own stories to tell.
- 12:50Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 12:50Sean McAllister: Anytime Oscar's in the room, that's what happens.
- 12:53Dayna Roselli: Well, and the price includes, I mentioned the meal and drink, but it does include drinks too.
- 12:57Dayna Roselli: So it includes the meal, the drinks, and the entertainment.
- 13:00Sean McAllister: Yeah, your whole evening is covered for that cost.
- 13:02Dayna Roselli: So there we go.
- 13:04Dayna Roselli: That'll be fun.
- 13:05Dayna Roselli: Hey, something we did in the TV show recently that we just we had to like pause and like do our own research because we were so taken by this beautiful diamond ring that was recovered from the Titanic rec site that is now on display at the Luxor.
- 13:21Dayna Roselli: And we were like, hold on, we we need to like, wow, this is incredible.
- 13:26Sean McAllister: And then we like watched this video where we learned more, and they recovered this ring that was in like there was almost like a a locked leather bag, almost like you you would see an old school doctor carrying, and people with valuables on the Titanic would go to this dude who had these lock bags on the ship, and they would, you know, record their valuables with him.
- 13:54Sean McAllister: He would store them in the bag and keep that locked in a safe space on the ship.
- 13:59Sean McAllister: Right.
- 13:59Sean McAllister: Well, one of those bags was recovered back in 1987 from the wreck site, and uh this beautiful diamond ring is one of the items that was inside the bag.
- 14:13Dayna Roselli: It's incredible.
- 14:14Dayna Roselli: This ring features three old European-cut diamonds, including a two-carat pear-shaped center stone framed by two one-carat rounds.
- 14:24Dayna Roselli: It's gorgeous.
- 14:25Dayna Roselli: Um, before we go any further, let's hear, because there was this little video that they sent us.
- 14:29Dayna Roselli: It's only about 40 seconds, but I feel like it's a great explainer of all of this.
- 14:34Dayna Roselli: And it is um, you're gonna hear from uh Thomasina Ray.
- 14:39Dayna Roselli: She's the president and director of collections.
- 14:41Dayna Roselli: Let's play that.
- 14:42SPEAKER_02: We're very excited to bring this fabulous diamond ring to Las Vegas.
- 14:46SPEAKER_02: It's four carats of diamonds.
- 14:48SPEAKER_02: It was discovered in the Gladstone bag and recovered in 1987.
- 14:54SPEAKER_02: It was a way to protect your valuables and keep them safe on a ship where you weren't sure who was coming and going.
- 15:01SPEAKER_02: So passengers often deposited their most valuable items with the ship's purser.
- 15:06SPEAKER_02: This diamond ring was clearly very important to somebody.
- 15:09SPEAKER_02: It could have been an engagement ring, and we are so excited to bring it to Las Vegas where everyone can enjoy the shine and the sparkle of this piece from Titanic that looks almost brand new.
- 15:22Sean McAllister: So after we watched what you just listened to, we just started asking a lot of questions and going down a Google rabbit hole of, well, what about this?
- 15:33Sean McAllister: What about that?
- 15:33Sean McAllister: I know Dana, you were wondering like how the ring stayed in such good condition.
- 15:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah, like if it was sitting in water, I would understand.
- 15:41Dayna Roselli: But I was like, isn't salt water?
- 15:42Dayna Roselli: You know, the ocean, like, wouldn't the salt eat away?
- 15:44Dayna Roselli: And then you did a Google search.
- 15:46Sean McAllister: Yeah, and these dinings are set in platinum, which apparently is not heavily affected by salt water.
- 15:55Sean McAllister: Interesting.
- 15:56Sean McAllister: It doesn't really tarnish.
- 15:57Sean McAllister: I mean, it gets a little dull, but you can polish that right up.
- 16:01Dayna Roselli: Wow.
- 16:01Dayna Roselli: And it they did.
- 16:02Dayna Roselli: It's stunning.
- 16:04Dayna Roselli: Now, this is on display in Las Vegas for the first time in a decade, so it's a big deal.
- 16:08Dayna Roselli: And it's over at the Luxor.
- 16:09Dayna Roselli: You can get tickets at TitanicLosvegas.com.
- 16:12Dayna Roselli: Um, it's Titanic the Artifact Exhibition.
- 16:15Dayna Roselli: It's located right there at the hotel casino and it's open daily from 11 to 6 p.m.
- 16:21Dayna Roselli: Final admissions 5 p.m.
- 16:23Dayna Roselli: So if you want to get more information, and if you want to see this, it'll be on our YouTube page because we put it in a recent TV show, and I think it should be up already.
- 16:32Dayna Roselli: But we were just, yeah, amazed.
- 16:34Dayna Roselli: And then there's other pieces of jewelry too that they have on display, but it's it's crazy.
- 16:38Sean McAllister: Yeah, that that uh exhibit, the Titanic exhibit, is definitely something to check out.
- 16:45Sean McAllister: They have a recreation of that grand staircase in there, so you can go in and get your get your picture on the stairs, you know, the famous stairs where Leo and Kate from the movie.
- 16:58Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 16:59Dayna Roselli: When we were just sitting there and when we were talking about the jewelry and stuff, we're like, it's so weird.
- 17:03Dayna Roselli: Like the ring, like this was someone's it really is fascinating, isn't it?
- 17:10Dayna Roselli: Oh, it's a shipwreck, and they recovered so many years later, and there's this ring, and it's like, what's the story?
- 17:17Dayna Roselli: Who whose was this?
- 17:18Dayna Roselli: And like, I don't know, it's just so interesting.
- 17:21Sean McAllister: It it really is.
- 17:22Sean McAllister: I mean, knowing where that ring came from, who it was for.
- 17:27Dayna Roselli: Yeah, who was it going to be for?
- 17:29Dayna Roselli: Was it engaged in the wheel?
- 17:29Sean McAllister: What was it going to be for?
- 17:30Sean McAllister: That could have been oh no.
- 17:33Sean McAllister: Oh, I just got sad.
- 17:34Dayna Roselli: Me too.
- 17:35Sean McAllister: Oh, the engagement that never was.
- 17:39Sean McAllister: Well, we're just hypothesizing here.
- 17:41Dayna Roselli: Yeah, we have no idea.
- 17:43Dayna Roselli: But or maybe it was just, I don't know, someone was carrying it across.
- 17:47Dayna Roselli: I don't know, they were moving, taking all their valuables with them.
- 17:50Dayna Roselli: We don't know.
- 17:51Dayna Roselli: There's a it was quite an eclectic crowd on the Titanic, right?
- 17:56Sean McAllister: It was, yes, it was.
- 17:58Sean McAllister: But that's a great exhibit.
- 17:59Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it really is.
- 18:00Dayna Roselli: So if you want to get over there, I mean, we have things in Vegas that, see, are outside of the norm that you would think that we would have.
- 18:06Dayna Roselli: We have some really cool museums, exhibits, and a lot of them located right on the strip.
- 18:12Sean McAllister: All right, let's get to our tips.
- 18:19Sean McAllister: All right, we're gonna kick off our tips with a dim sum brunch.
- 18:26Dayna Roselli: I was like, ooh, what?
- 18:28Dayna Roselli: That sounds good.
- 18:30Sean McAllister: That does sound good.
- 18:31Dayna Roselli: Then I saw it was at Genting Palace at Resorts World, and I told you I went there once and I was blown away.
- 18:39Dayna Roselli: The food was so good.
- 18:40Dayna Roselli: I went with a couple friends, and I don't know why I haven't been back because I think because you and I, we always talk about this.
- 18:46Dayna Roselli: We never just go out and like choose, like, we're gonna go out to eat.
- 18:50Sean McAllister: It's always like it's always I want to eat at home because I've been out so much exact at all these different things that we are going to for work for the show and the podcast, and then when it comes time to have free time, it's like, oh, I kind of just want to stay in.
- 19:07Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 19:08Dayna Roselli: Or else, like my friend that was visiting, like she did book a res uh, you know, reservation at Esther's Kitchen.
- 19:13Dayna Roselli: Like, I feel like a lot of times locals or if people come into town that lived here, we kind of navigate toward more of a locals restaurant.
- 19:21Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 19:22Dayna Roselli: But anyway, Genting Palace is amazing and it is such a good restaurant.
- 19:26Dayna Roselli: So I was excited to see this.
- 19:27Dayna Roselli: So they're starting it um every Saturday from 11 to 3 p.m.
- 19:31Dayna Roselli: The brunch combines some authentic flavors with, of course, their great service, and that it really is a luxurious restaurant.
- 19:37Dayna Roselli: It's beautiful.
- 19:38Dayna Roselli: Um, but I love the dim sum brunch because it offers a communal style menu designed for sharing, and so they'll have a curated selection of classic and elevated dim sum dishes.
- 19:51Dayna Roselli: And I guess you can kind of pick from the menu, but this window of time is when they're doing this special seating.
- 19:57Dayna Roselli: And I think it's a great idea.
- 19:59Dayna Roselli: Get more people through through that restaurant and have a different kind of Saturday brunch experience.
- 20:03Sean McAllister: This is great.
- 20:04Sean McAllister: The executive chef over there is Billy Chang, who specializes in um Cantonese cuisine.
- 20:10Sean McAllister: So you know that this is authentic and delicious.
- 20:13Sean McAllister: I know you said that this brunch looked delicious at a restaurant you already know is delicious.
- 20:19Dayna Roselli: I mean, when the food came and they lifted up, it was like so fresh.
- 20:22Dayna Roselli: It just was it was really good and the flavorful.
- 20:26Sean McAllister: I love it.
- 20:26Sean McAllister: As part of this brunch experience, you also uh have a selection of curated teas and cocktails.
- 20:33Sean McAllister: And of course, you're sitting in a very opulent atmosphere over there at Genting Palace as well.
- 20:40Sean McAllister: Again, over at Resorts World.
- 20:42Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so I'm I'm glad they're doing that.
- 20:44Dayna Roselli: Um, a lot of new things coming and a lot of different experiences, and we notice Saturday brunches are becoming popular, more popular lately.
- 20:51Dayna Roselli: Yeah, they are, and I feel like what the deal is.
- 20:53Sean McAllister: Well I don't know.
- 20:54Sean McAllister: Maybe this is the time of year.
- 20:57Dayna Roselli: Or maybe like Sundays are just feeling more like it really is because I feel like you know, the world's been a bit crazy lately, and I feel like for everyone, and a lot of people have said this year has kind of been exhausting.
- 21:09Dayna Roselli: Or I wonder if Sunday is just really becoming more of a day of rest for people.
- 21:13Sean McAllister: And like our time to recharge a little bit.
- 21:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah, like I don't want to go out to brunch.
- 21:17Dayna Roselli: Or also football season.
- 21:19Dayna Roselli: Maybe but they figure people are watching football on Sunday.
- 21:21Sean McAllister: All day.
- 21:22Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so that could probably be starting at 10 a.m.
- 21:24Sean McAllister: on the West Coast.
- 21:25Dayna Roselli: Who's doing like I keep watching all the game scores, or I glance up and watch parts of games, and I'm like, it's kind of hard to tell who's really leading the pack this year when it comes to football.
- 21:34Dayna Roselli: I feel like like some unexpected losses were thrown in there, like the Bills lost one, or maybe two, maybe one.
- 21:41Sean McAllister: Uh yeah, the the Bills did lose uh two in a row.
- 21:45Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so and I was like, oh, and then Kansas City uh lost a couple at the beginning, and then Indianapolis Colts are like doing fantastic.
- 21:55Dayna Roselli: That's interesting.
- 21:56Dayna Roselli: Good for them.
- 21:56Dayna Roselli: Yeah, the Raiders, we won one or two.
- 22:01Dayna Roselli: I think we won two.
- 22:02Sean McAllister: Yeah, the the Colts are really doing good.
- 22:06Sean McAllister: They're like kind of top in the league right now.
- 22:08Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 22:08Dayna Roselli: I like that for them.
- 22:10Sean McAllister: I like that for them too.
- 22:12Sean McAllister: Like I never hear anybody say, hey, how about them Indianapolis Colts?
- 22:16Dayna Roselli: Never.
- 22:17Dayna Roselli: So I like that.
- 22:18Dayna Roselli: I'm all about the I don't know if it's considered underdog, but I like that.
- 22:21Sean McAllister: Yeah, let's go.
- 22:22Dayna Roselli: I never hear I'm a Colts fan.
- 22:24Dayna Roselli: Why don't we ever hear that?
- 22:26Sean McAllister: I don't know.
- 22:26Sean McAllister: Maybe because we're like removed from that chunk of the country.
- 22:30Sean McAllister: I don't know.
- 22:31Sean McAllister: I think the Colts probably do have a pretty good fan base.
- 22:34Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 22:35Dayna Roselli: Hey, send us a text if you're a Colts fan.
- 22:37Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 22:37Dayna Roselli: We want to know.
- 22:38Dayna Roselli: We want to get behind.
- 22:39Sean McAllister: We want to know where all of our Indianapolis fans are at.
- 22:43Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 22:44Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 22:45Dayna Roselli: Well, I think that's it for the show.
- 22:47Dayna Roselli: We will be back next week with another Vegas Revealed podcast.
- 22:51Dayna Roselli: We hope you enjoyed 295.
