- 0:02Speaker 1: On scoring leaves Australia. This is the Wider Panalty Show.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Good evening and welcome to the Rita Panicky Show. I'm Danikiti,
- 0:12Speaker 2: Giorgio filling In coming up tonight, Albow announcers, an anti
- 0:16Speaker 2: Semitism envoy, but it's a little.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Too late for that.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Nurses fight back against hospital policy that allows biological men
- 0:25Speaker 2: to use their change rooms. Stephanie Bastian will join us
- 0:29Speaker 2: for more. All the Laters from the US with Josh Hammer,
- 0:33Speaker 2: including Biden's upcoming Big Boy Conference and Darren Grimes ways
- 0:39Speaker 2: in on the new British Prime Minister and his even
- 0:43Speaker 2: woker cabinet, plus Lefty's losing it with a very special
- 0:47Speaker 2: message from Whoopee Goldberg on Biden's decline.
- 0:52Speaker 4: I don't care if he's Coolfta's pants. I don't care
- 0:58Speaker 4: if he can't put a sentence together.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Joy Now is the Herald Sons senior writer Patrick Carly
- 1:05Speaker 2: and Patrick thanks for joining us. Young labor branches are
- 1:09Speaker 2: revolting against the treatment of rogue senator Fatima payment by
- 1:13Speaker 2: the alban Easy government. Now The Australian is reporting that
- 1:17Speaker 2: the Prime Minister's foundational faction, the New South Wales.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Young Labor Left will actually.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Host Senator Payment as a special guest in a forum
- 1:25Speaker 2: next week to Remote to promote the cause of Palestine,
- 1:29Speaker 2: despite of course her resignation from the party. Now, I
- 1:32Speaker 2: am definitely not a supporter of Senator payment, but ge
- 1:35Speaker 2: Labor are in a world of pain over this.
- 1:39Speaker 5: Well, I think that's the right way of putting it.
- 1:41Speaker 5: It is a world of pain. And I think this
- 1:43Speaker 5: is just the start when you've seen all these pro
- 1:45Speaker 5: Palestine sort of forces coalescing and it sounds like it
- 1:48Speaker 5: was quite planned in the last few weeks and it's
- 1:51Speaker 5: all sort of coming to a head.
- 1:52Speaker 6: Now you have the.
- 1:53Speaker 5: Young ALP activists who are pushing payment and pushing what
- 1:57Speaker 5: she's saying. And the problem for a government is that
- 2:03Speaker 5: you cannot They've got conflicting priorities here. They've got to
- 2:06Speaker 5: govern for the national interest and at the same time
- 2:09Speaker 5: they're trying to pander to those pro Palestine elements in
- 2:13Speaker 5: those seats in Sydney and Melbourne and elsewhere that really
- 2:17Speaker 5: could swing dramatically. And this is fascinating. This is a
- 2:21Speaker 5: real moment in Australian politics and the next election as
- 2:24Speaker 5: to see as to seeing how far and how significant
- 2:28Speaker 5: this will be in determining results.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Well, absolutely, you know, particularly in the event of a
- 2:35Speaker 2: minority government. What does that mean? And I really believe
- 2:39Speaker 2: that Fatima payment is going to have a lot of
- 2:41Speaker 2: influence and the policies that we're going to see coming
- 2:43Speaker 2: up now. Anthony Albanesi has appointed lawyer and business executive
- 2:48Speaker 2: Jillian Siegel as Australia's inaugural Anti Semitism Special Envoy.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Here is what the Prime Minister had to say earlier.
- 2:57Speaker 7: I have spoken with members of the Jewish community who
- 3:00Speaker 7: have not felt safe members of the Jewish community. His
- 3:04Speaker 7: children are worried about wearing their school uniform in our
- 3:09Speaker 7: capital cities.
- 3:11Speaker 3: That's not acceptable, Patrick.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Since October seven, Australia's social cohesion really has descended into chaos.
- 3:18Speaker 2: We no anti Semitism is rife. The Prime Ministerlian ministers
- 3:21Speaker 2: have been largely silent as to not upset voters in
- 3:25Speaker 2: key seats with high Muslim populations. I'm hopeful that this
- 3:28Speaker 2: envoy will change that. But why now it's just a
- 3:31Speaker 2: little too late.
- 3:34Speaker 5: Well, look, it's certainly too late, and hopefully it's not
- 3:37Speaker 5: too little. I mean what we saw Elbow saying that
- 3:40Speaker 5: he should have been saying that on October fifteen last year,
- 3:43Speaker 5: eight months ago. The anti Semitism has been unchecked in
- 3:49Speaker 5: pockets of Australia since that time, and he hasn't come
- 3:52Speaker 5: down hard in sort of saying well, hang on, this
- 3:54Speaker 5: is not who we are, this is what we're about.
- 3:57Speaker 5: I think this is a welcome development with the special end.
- 4:00Speaker 5: I like thought she had to say earlier today she
- 4:02Speaker 5: talked about anti Semitism being an age old hatred. She
- 4:06Speaker 5: talked about it having no place in a freedom, in
- 4:09Speaker 5: a free society, and she talked about the need to
- 4:11Speaker 5: be vigilant. And we have not been vigilant in stenting
- 4:15Speaker 5: this since October last year. And look it is too late,
- 4:18Speaker 5: but hopefully it makes a difference.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Look fingers crossed it does now, how is this for
- 4:23Speaker 2: a cash grab? Woolworths has announced it will restock Australian
- 4:28Speaker 2: flags and it stores ahead of the Paris Olympic Games
- 4:30Speaker 2: because quote, the Australian flag is the official flag of
- 4:33Speaker 2: the Australian Olympic Committee and of our team competing in Paris.
- 4:38Speaker 2: So Patrick, the Australian flag is an Australian flag when
- 4:43Speaker 2: it's not Australia Day.
- 4:47Speaker 5: Well, when there's a buck in it, I think really,
- 4:50Speaker 5: you know they're sponsoring the Olympics. As you said, they
- 4:54Speaker 5: want people to go to woolies and look, I think
- 4:57Speaker 5: most people will be very cynical about this. This this
- 5:00Speaker 5: is a cash grab. As some of the conservative politicians
- 5:03Speaker 5: have been saying, you can't have it both ways. You
- 5:05Speaker 5: can't virtue signal and say that Australia is divisive and
- 5:10Speaker 5: by inference as is the Australian flag and then sort
- 5:14Speaker 5: of proudly call yourselves proudly Australian retailer and suddenly say
- 5:20Speaker 5: we've got these flags and we want you to be
- 5:22Speaker 5: patriotic because you might buy our flags. I mean, I
- 5:25Speaker 5: think most Australians see through this for what it is,
- 5:28Speaker 5: the big er lay back on Australia by basically saying
- 5:32Speaker 5: Australia is divisive.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Yeah, they only want the Australian flags and when they
- 5:37Speaker 2: know they can make a bit of money out of it,
- 5:39Speaker 2: they're an absolute disgrace for words that always have been
- 5:42Speaker 2: Now Green Senator Marine Feruki, you know, the one who
- 5:45Speaker 2: couldn't quite bring herself to say whether Hamas should be
- 5:50Speaker 2: disbanded and remember.
- 5:51Speaker 5: This HMAS need to be dismantled.
- 5:54Speaker 8: It has nothing to do with Palestinian statehood and Palestinian self.
- 5:58Speaker 3: The question was this must have dismantled. The Palestinians need
- 6:03Speaker 3: to decide.
- 6:03Speaker 5: If they choose AMUS.
- 6:05Speaker 3: That's okay, David, that is such. What can I say,
- 6:08Speaker 3: like should it be dismantled?
- 6:12Speaker 8: Hamas is an organization that exists in the region that
- 6:16Speaker 8: we are talking about.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Surely you're able to say whether you'd like to see
- 6:19Speaker 3: them gone. I mean, it's not up to meet. It's
- 6:23Speaker 3: an absolute disgrace.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Well, Marina Ferruki is set to reap an eight hundred
- 6:28Speaker 2: and fifty thousand dollars windfall from an upcoming property sale
- 6:32Speaker 2: from her multimillion dollar housing portfolio.
- 6:35Speaker 3: Now, Patrick, the irony in all of.
- 6:37Speaker 2: This is that she recently described the housing system in
- 6:40Speaker 2: Australia as one that sees millions screwed over while banks
- 6:44Speaker 2: and property developers make an absolute killing off the misery
- 6:48Speaker 2: of others, but clearly not for her.
- 6:53Speaker 5: Well, basically, I think she has three or four investment
- 6:56Speaker 5: properties in Australia and she's been very strong in saying,
- 7:00Speaker 5: you know, these people are making money off the misery
- 7:03Speaker 5: of others. She's one of them, and she's been sort
- 7:06Speaker 5: of waving about this very high mind and sort of
- 7:08Speaker 5: rhetoric about how we must do more. Well she's been profiting.
- 7:11Speaker 5: And look, this is a fascinating story. It comes off
- 7:15Speaker 5: the back of the Hamas inability to condemn Hamas the
- 7:19Speaker 5: other day she's not having a good week issue.
- 7:21Speaker 2: I don't think she's been having a good week for
- 7:23Speaker 2: a long time. In fact, I think the Greens have
- 7:25Speaker 2: had a shocker of a year, or at least since
- 7:28Speaker 2: October seven.
- 7:29Speaker 3: Now, France's far.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Right leader Marine la Penn has joined forces with the
- 7:34Speaker 2: Hungarian Prime Minister Victor Aubarn in a new far right
- 7:38Speaker 2: alliance in the European Parliament. The Patriots for Europe has
- 7:41Speaker 2: become the third largest force in the European Parliament. Patrick
- 7:46Speaker 2: of course, this comes after the Penn's party came third
- 7:49Speaker 2: in the France election, and now we're seeing these chaotic
- 7:52Speaker 2: images coming out of France where the far left have
- 7:55Speaker 2: really plunged it into absolute chaos.
- 8:00Speaker 3: But what do you think this new alliance means?
- 8:05Speaker 5: Well, look, I think it's perhaps it's an early chapter
- 8:08Speaker 5: in the change that you're sort of been waiting for
- 8:11Speaker 5: for a long time. It's been run by very leftis
- 8:13Speaker 5: center policies for a long time. That is upset a
- 8:16Speaker 5: lot of ordinary Europeans across many countries, not just France
- 8:19Speaker 5: and Hungary. I think there's twelve countries represented in this
- 8:23Speaker 5: in this block basically, and they talk about retaking institutions,
- 8:28Speaker 5: they talk about retaking the borders. I mean a lot
- 8:31Speaker 5: of Europeans have been very upset about immigration rates, about
- 8:35Speaker 5: cost of living, about energy policy, and so on. And
- 8:38Speaker 5: this is the penduluance of swinging back, if you like.
- 8:42Speaker 5: And we have to wait to see whether it swings
- 8:44Speaker 5: back too far. But it's certainly it's overdue, isn't it.
- 8:48Speaker 3: Oh, it's definitely overdue.
- 8:50Speaker 2: But you know, the scenes we're seeing right now across
- 8:52Speaker 2: France are just frightening, really, and it's you.
- 8:56Speaker 3: Know, it could be could it be happening here next?
- 8:59Speaker 3: We just simply don't know.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Now to the US, where Donald Trump is distancing himself
- 9:04Speaker 2: from the so called Project twenty twenty five aimed at
- 9:08Speaker 2: overhauling the federal government. Now it's been authored by some
- 9:11Speaker 2: of his former staffers and members of the Heritage Foundation.
- 9:16Speaker 2: But Patrick, why do you think that Trump is trying
- 9:19Speaker 2: really hard to distance himself from this.
- 9:24Speaker 5: Well, you look at Trump at the moment, he's been
- 9:26Speaker 5: quieter in the last for the last week and a
- 9:28Speaker 5: half than he has been for years. There's a good
- 9:30Speaker 5: reason for that. He doesn't want to take the attention
- 9:32Speaker 5: away from Joe Biden and the Democrats eating themselves up
- 9:36Speaker 5: by trying whether the conundrum of whether they keep an
- 9:39Speaker 5: unelectable candidate as their candidate. Look, I think he's being
- 9:43Speaker 5: very dishonest in distancing himself from this. Some of his
- 9:48Speaker 5: closest colleagues were heavily involved in it, and I think
- 9:51Speaker 5: it stands to alienate potentially some of those right wing
- 9:54Speaker 5: sort of voters who are more moderate. Talks about banning
- 9:57Speaker 5: the abortion pill, it talks about handling the education system.
- 10:01Speaker 5: It would scare some of the right of sender voters.
- 10:04Speaker 5: And he doesn't need to do that at the moment.
- 10:06Speaker 5: He doesn't need to do anything at all. He'd rather
- 10:08Speaker 5: have all the attention on Joe Biden and whether he
- 10:12Speaker 5: can finish a sentence or not.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Well, that's sort of been Joe Biden's doing all the
- 10:17Speaker 2: media for himself at the moment. Or Donald Trump has
- 10:19Speaker 2: to do is sit back and watch the circus unfold
- 10:22Speaker 2: right in front of his eyes. He doesn't even have
- 10:24Speaker 2: to try. So you raise a good point. Now, we
- 10:27Speaker 2: saw over night that Russia launched its largest missile attack
- 10:30Speaker 2: on Ukraine in months, striking a children's hospital in Kiev
- 10:33Speaker 2: as well as other sites across the country. Patrick, we
- 10:36Speaker 2: know dozens have been killed and injured in this. Is
- 10:39Speaker 2: it now time to step up more support for Ukraine
- 10:43Speaker 2: among Western nations?
- 10:47Speaker 5: Absolutely? Look, I think poor Ukraine has sort of got
- 10:49Speaker 5: lost a bid in the whole Gaza story, hasn't it.
- 10:52Speaker 5: Certainly for the since October. It's a democracy. It was
- 10:57Speaker 5: fighting the Nazis in World War Two and then the
- 10:59Speaker 5: Russian ever since, on and off. It is a democratic
- 11:03Speaker 5: country that believes in freedoms. Vladimir Putin is not going
- 11:08Speaker 5: to stop. He's an imperialist. He's not going to stop
- 11:11Speaker 5: until he has Ukraine. There's going to be a winner
- 11:14Speaker 5: and there's going to be a loser. And this is
- 11:16Speaker 5: the biggest battle that Ukraine has ever faced. It needs
- 11:20Speaker 5: all the Western support that it can get to fight
- 11:23Speaker 5: the good fight.
- 11:25Speaker 2: It certainly does, and you're right, it's almost been forgotten,
- 11:27Speaker 2: which is sad. Amongst the Middle East conflict. But it's
- 11:31Speaker 2: clear Putin will stop at nothing, and that is the
- 11:34Speaker 2: frightening part. Patrick Carlyon, good to speak with you, Thanks
- 11:37Speaker 2: for joining us. A group of nurses in the UK
- 11:40Speaker 2: who are suing their employer for sexual harassment and sex
- 11:43Speaker 2: discrimination because of a policy which allows trans women to
- 11:47Speaker 2: use their women's changing rooms have spoken publicly for the
- 11:51Speaker 2: first time.
- 11:52Speaker 9: There's nothing in place at the minute to protect women.
- 11:55Speaker 9: It's literally a SELFI D situation where any person can
- 12:01Speaker 9: just say the idea is a woman and go in.
- 12:05Speaker 3: Good on them for speaking out.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Many would be too scared too, because you'd get a
- 12:09Speaker 2: strike across your name and assume to be a transfobe
- 12:13Speaker 2: for questioning why biological men with male general tools are
- 12:17Speaker 2: allowed to whip their kits off in female change rooms
- 12:21Speaker 2: under the guise of being trans. Joinning me now is
- 12:24Speaker 2: Stephanie Bastian from Women's Forum Australia. Stephanie, thanks for joining us.
- 12:29Speaker 2: This perverse ideology has infiltrated multiple institutions, now the NHS.
- 12:36Speaker 3: And good on these nurses for speaking out.
- 12:42Speaker 10: Well.
- 12:42Speaker 11: Good evening, Danaka, and thank you for having me on tonight. Absolutely,
- 12:46Speaker 11: but despite the fact that the public pressure on people
- 12:49Speaker 11: to keep quiet, they still implemented these policies by self.
- 12:53Speaker 11: One of the nurses said that she found out about
- 12:55Speaker 11: the policy midway undressing when this man walked into the
- 12:59Speaker 11: change rooms.
- 13:00Speaker 3: That's not good enough. I think that people who are
- 13:03Speaker 3: making these decisions are cowards.
- 13:05Speaker 11: The fact that they haven't communicated these decisions with the
- 13:07Speaker 11: nurses demonstrates that, and they should be held accountable. I'm
- 13:11Speaker 11: so pleased these nurses are suing because if having a
- 13:15Speaker 11: man looking at you on dressing unwanted is not a
- 13:18Speaker 11: case of sexual harassment, I don't know what is.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Well.
- 13:20Speaker 2: This is a thing because one of the nurses in
- 13:23Speaker 2: the lawsuit claims she was allegedly approached by the transgender
- 13:27Speaker 2: colleague while alone in a dressing room and then was
- 13:30Speaker 2: repeatedly asked to undress while the colleague was only wearing
- 13:33Speaker 2: boxer shorts with genitalia visible. That, in my opinion, constitutes
- 13:39Speaker 2: sexual harassment. I think the nurses raise a good point.
- 13:42Speaker 2: That's like a self ID check system. Now anyone can
- 13:45Speaker 2: just say yep, i'm this, I'm this, and then suddenly
- 13:47Speaker 2: you're allowed into any bathroom. Now, a twelve year old
- 13:50Speaker 2: schoolboy has been investigated. Would you believe by counter extremism
- 13:55Speaker 2: officers after he declared that there are only two genders
- 13:59Speaker 2: and that he's against non binary and trans Now, this
- 14:03Speaker 2: child in the UK made a video about it and
- 14:06Speaker 2: posted it online and has now been referred by his
- 14:09Speaker 2: school to prevent the Home Office program that attempts to
- 14:12Speaker 2: stop people becoming terrorists. At Stepanie, they actually think he
- 14:16Speaker 2: could be at risk of being radicalized here by the
- 14:20Speaker 2: far right. This is where society is at. You stand
- 14:24Speaker 2: up against this ideology, now suddenly you're on a pathway
- 14:27Speaker 2: of extremism.
- 14:32Speaker 3: These people are dangerous radicals.
- 14:33Speaker 11: They are totally out of touch with mainstream the people,
- 14:37Speaker 11: full stop. I mean the fact that they have referred
- 14:40Speaker 11: a twelve year old boy to counter terrorism just shows
- 14:44Speaker 11: how dangerous they are. These people should not be looking
- 14:48Speaker 11: after children. They have no place and they should be
- 14:50Speaker 11: suspended and investigated immediately. I mean, it is so extreme,
- 14:56Speaker 11: and I think that they realize that their bad ideas
- 14:59Speaker 11: are unpalatable and so they are finding ways to target now,
- 15:02Speaker 11: particularly children, in order to force their agenda. I mean,
- 15:05Speaker 11: this boy is talking about biological facts. This is almost
- 15:10Speaker 11: a case of I would say homophobia by declaring that
- 15:13Speaker 11: he is a gay young man. It is an absolute
- 15:17Speaker 11: disgrace and requires a big investigation. It's just astonishing that
- 15:22Speaker 11: this is where society is headed. Suddenly you have an
- 15:26Speaker 11: opinion about something and you're either done for hate speech
- 15:29Speaker 11: or now an extremist.
- 15:31Speaker 3: Where is society going? Seriously? Now?
- 15:34Speaker 2: JK Rowling has launched a fresh attack on the new
- 15:37Speaker 2: UK Prime Minister Kiir Starmer for appointing two women and
- 15:42Speaker 2: a qualities ministers now one of them thinks that trans
- 15:45Speaker 2: women with penises can use female toilets, and another who
- 15:49Speaker 2: said there are different legal definitions for a woman. The
- 15:53Speaker 2: author has labeled these comments nonsensical.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Which they are.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Stephanie, Thank goodness the UK has people JK Rowling actually
- 16:01Speaker 2: standing up for women's rights. When you've got a prime
- 16:03Speaker 2: minister appointing two ministers to make things easier for a
- 16:07Speaker 2: small number of men who wish to use women's changing.
- 16:10Speaker 3: Rooms, unbelievable.
- 16:14Speaker 11: I mean, he's walked back from his commitment to reduce government,
- 16:18Speaker 11: but somehow he's appointed not one but two women who't
- 16:23Speaker 11: who do not support or recognize biological women's rights. I'm
- 16:27Speaker 11: really really concerned about the direction the UK will go
- 16:32Speaker 11: under this new government. They were certainly moving in the
- 16:35Speaker 11: right direction under the Conservatives. There was a lot going
- 16:38Speaker 11: on in terms of understanding gender ideology and in terms
- 16:42Speaker 11: of protecting women's rights, and I think that that is
- 16:45Speaker 11: really going to decline under this government. I just hope
- 16:49Speaker 11: cases such as the NHS one prevail because I don't
- 16:54Speaker 11: think this government is going to do much for women.
- 16:56Speaker 11: In fact, I think there's going to be further right
- 16:59Speaker 11: stripped away.
- 17:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I completely agree with you.
- 17:02Speaker 2: It's certainly heading into this socialism direction in the UK,
- 17:05Speaker 2: and goodness knows what could come out of that. Thank
- 17:09Speaker 2: you very much, Stephanie Bastian for joining us. Still to
- 17:12Speaker 2: come Lefties Losing It featuring Whoopie Goldberg seeking to a
- 17:16Speaker 2: new low in her support for Joe Biden and Josh
- 17:20Speaker 2: Hammer reacts to the embarrassing lens Biden's aides have to
- 17:24Speaker 2: go to just to make sure the President makes it
- 17:26Speaker 2: onto a stage.
- 17:27Speaker 12: Okay, now it's time.
- 17:38Speaker 3: For lefties losing it. Let's start with.
- 17:41Speaker 2: A totally unhinged, borderline uncomfortable rant from the president of
- 17:46Speaker 2: the National Education Association, the largest teachers union.
- 17:50Speaker 3: In the United States.
- 17:52Speaker 8: We will keep going forward because we are the NIA.
- 17:58Speaker 1: We are the NI.
- 17:59Speaker 3: Yeah, we are the anyway. And that's what we do
- 18:06Speaker 3: and what you need to do, Becky Pringle is.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Be locked up far far away from children, that's for sure.
- 18:15Speaker 3: Now where have I seen a tirade like this before?
- 18:18Speaker 3: Blood alone moves the wheels of history never gets old.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Dwight Shreut now to one of the alleged stars of
- 18:28Speaker 2: the Marble series She Hulk, a feminist Disney remake.
- 18:32Speaker 3: Yep, we know Disney know how to pick him well.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Actress Tatiana Maslani has blasted a parental rights law which
- 18:41Speaker 2: requires schools get consent from parents to change their child's
- 18:46Speaker 2: name or pronouns.
- 18:47Speaker 9: It should not be the control of the parents whether
- 18:50Speaker 9: a child's howard, child identifies, how a child knows themselves
- 18:55Speaker 9: to be.
- 18:55Speaker 3: That isn't their parents place. It's an overreach. It's an
- 18:59Speaker 3: over each on the part of the provincial government to
- 19:02Speaker 3: legislate that. It's absurd. No, what is absurd? Is you, Tatiana?
- 19:09Speaker 2: Now speaking of derangement, Oh, the old gender benders. We
- 19:13Speaker 2: love nothing more than when they keep coming up with
- 19:17Speaker 2: brand new, lucrative ways to describe themselves.
- 19:22Speaker 13: You except that you're a male with other Yeah, every transperson,
- 19:25Speaker 13: every trans woman. I mean like it's like, yeah, I'm
- 19:28Speaker 13: a male woman, why can't you be a male woman?
- 19:32Speaker 13: Like that's that's what y'all don't understand. Like, yeah, I'm
- 19:36Speaker 13: not I'm not saying I'm a woman.
- 19:39Speaker 14: I never said that.
- 19:41Speaker 13: I'm just saying I'm a male woman. Just treatute like
- 19:43Speaker 13: a woman.
- 19:44Speaker 3: A male woman. Cute. It's kind of cute, isn't it.
- 19:48Speaker 3: A new splasher, man is a man and a woman
- 19:51Speaker 3: is a woman. Now, if you.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Are looking for gender neutral terms to call your family members,
- 19:58Speaker 2: good new whose this sees the help you've been waiting for?
- 20:03Speaker 14: Here, darling? Are there gender neutral alternatives to terms like
- 20:07Speaker 14: niece and nephew and aren't and uncle?
- 20:09Speaker 4: Yes?
- 20:09Speaker 14: There are gender neutral term to replace nisa nephew is nibbling.
- 20:14Speaker 14: It takes sibling and uses the end from niss and nephew.
- 20:17Speaker 14: It was actually coined in nineteen fifty one by Yellinglish
- 20:19Speaker 14: Samuel Martin. And similarly, we have pibbling parent sibling, the
- 20:24Speaker 14: pe from parent and sibling pibbling to replace aunt and uncle.
- 20:28Speaker 2: I mean, can you imagine, please let me introduce you
- 20:32Speaker 2: to my nibbling and my pibbling, Oh nibbling. Could you
- 20:36Speaker 2: please stop nibbling and pass the peas? Please and stop nibbling.
- 20:41Speaker 3: You're on our last nerve.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Now over to our friends at the view. What would
- 20:47Speaker 2: electies losing it be without Whoopee Goldberg While she's back
- 20:52Speaker 2: out there fighting the good fight for Joe Biden, and
- 20:57Speaker 2: she's given the president.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Quite the glow endorsement.
- 21:02Speaker 4: I don't care if he's pooped his pants. I don't
- 21:08Speaker 4: care if he can't put a sentence together.
- 21:12Speaker 3: Show me he can't do the job, and.
- 21:14Speaker 4: Then I'll say, Okay, maybe it's time to go lucky Joe.
- 21:18Speaker 3: What a great advertisement.
- 21:21Speaker 2: And look, at this point, Whoopee should have just really
- 21:25Speaker 2: stopped talking, but she went on and we heard more
- 21:29Speaker 2: about her own.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Bowel issues.
- 21:33Speaker 4: I have poopy days all the time, all the I
- 21:37Speaker 4: step in so much pool, you can't even imagine.
- 21:41Speaker 2: Well, that explains why puppy Goldberg is so full of
- 21:47Speaker 2: you know what, what else would we expect from the
- 21:51Speaker 2: same woman who thought Jill Biden was a real doctor.
- 21:55Speaker 3: Remember when she said this.
- 21:57Speaker 4: I'm hoping doctor Jill becomes a general because because Joe
- 22:03Speaker 4: Biden's white.
- 22:04Speaker 3: Because she's you know, he would never do. But she Yeah,
- 22:06Speaker 3: she's a hell of a doctor.
- 22:08Speaker 4: She's an amazing doctor.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Ah.
- 22:11Speaker 2: They never learned, do they now? From one loan to another.
- 22:16Speaker 2: MSNBC host Joy Reid has had a mentally deranged melkdown
- 22:22Speaker 2: over Donald Trump.
- 22:24Speaker 8: If it's Bidenita Cooma, I'm gonna vote for Bidina Coma.
- 22:27Speaker 8: I don't even really particularly like the guy. A lot
- 22:29Speaker 8: of his palsy don't like him. He's not Donald Trump, right, Yeah,
- 22:33Speaker 8: Hitler White House were keeping him out, keeping Project twenty
- 22:36Speaker 8: twenty five out. That's all I care about, up and
- 22:38Speaker 8: down the ballot, from the root to the Tudor school board,
- 22:40Speaker 8: all the way up to White House and everything in between, Governors,
- 22:43Speaker 8: members of Congress. I'm just gonna vote all the way
- 22:45Speaker 8: down to keep these people out.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Ah. This woman is clearly broken.
- 22:50Speaker 2: I mean I've been wondering, how fuck can someone like
- 22:55Speaker 2: Joy read spiral down?
- 22:57Speaker 3: What's her limit?
- 22:58Speaker 2: I thought maybe she was a already there, but no,
- 23:01Speaker 2: she just keeps spiraling her arrangements, knows no bounds. Joe
- 23:07Speaker 2: Biden has called into his friends over at MSNBC in
- 23:11Speaker 2: a desperate attempt to prove all is well, but ended
- 23:16Speaker 2: up sounding like a drunk incoherent mess.
- 23:21Speaker 6: Read and I've been out on the road so much,
- 23:22Speaker 6: all over the country. And while Trump is riding around
- 23:25Speaker 6: in his golf cart, filling out his golf cart before
- 23:28Speaker 6: a golf cart before you even hits the ball, he
- 23:32Speaker 6: hadn't been anywhere in ten days. I'man all over the country.
- 23:36Speaker 3: Yes, all is well. He then really went off the rails.
- 23:41Speaker 6: Come on, give me a break, Come with me. Why
- 23:45Speaker 6: why I'm getting so frustrated by the elite. Now I'm
- 23:49Speaker 6: not talking about you guys, but by the elite in
- 23:52Speaker 6: the party who they know so much more. But then
- 23:55Speaker 6: in these days, I don't think I should run against
- 23:58Speaker 6: me announce the president challenge a Manda connage.
- 24:02Speaker 2: You did, Hunter Biden help him write his interview notes
- 24:06Speaker 2: today And just in case we needed more evidence, the
- 24:09Speaker 2: White House is babying the leader.
- 24:11Speaker 3: Of the free world.
- 24:12Speaker 2: They announced the President will hold a big boy press conference.
- 24:17Speaker 15: After that, the President will hold a press conference.
- 24:19Speaker 9: I guess a big boy press conference we're calling it,
- 24:23Speaker 9: and take some questions from you all.
- 24:24Speaker 16: This week, President Biden will speak to national labor leaders
- 24:28Speaker 16: of afl CIO hosts the Needle Summit to show the
- 24:32Speaker 16: unprecedented strength of our alliance. Holda press conference, a big
- 24:36Speaker 16: boy press conference.
- 24:37Speaker 3: Yes, he's a big boy.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Now will they teach him to potty trade next? I'm
- 24:42Speaker 2: sure doctor Jill will be on standby to help Jo.
- 24:45Speaker 17: You did such a great job. You answered every question.
- 24:49Speaker 2: Do you want speaking of who is actually running for president?
- 24:54Speaker 3: It's stage mom, doctor Jill.
- 24:57Speaker 17: For all the talk out there about this rate, Joe
- 25:00Speaker 17: has made it clear that he's all in and just
- 25:06Speaker 17: as always as he has supported my career, I'm all into.
- 25:14Speaker 3: Hi, bet you are, doctor Jill.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Let's bring a newswak Senior editor at Large and article
- 25:20Speaker 2: three projects Senya Counsel Josh Haba. Josh, what exactly is
- 25:25Speaker 2: a big boy press conference? I mean, how much longer
- 25:28Speaker 2: can the White House keep training him like a toddler?
- 25:33Speaker 17: Yeah?
- 25:34Speaker 15: You know, your guest is as good as mine. I
- 25:36Speaker 15: have no idea what a big boy press conference is
- 25:38Speaker 15: supposed to be, but I'm happy that you played that
- 25:40Speaker 15: clip of doctor Jill Biden congratulating Joe Biden after the
- 25:45Speaker 15: debate for actually answering every question. Look, what you're seeing
- 25:49Speaker 15: is not just the infantilization of the American presidency. It's
- 25:53Speaker 15: actually much worse than just infantilizing the purported leader of
- 25:56Speaker 15: the free world. What you've seen now, Axio, some other
- 26:00Speaker 15: American political alets have started to report. You're now seeing
- 26:03Speaker 15: the media cop up to an omit the fact that
- 26:06Speaker 15: Biden's handlers, even inside the White House for the past
- 26:09Speaker 15: year and a half, two years at least, maybe even
- 26:12Speaker 15: longer than that, have prevented information that the commander in
- 26:16Speaker 15: chief ought to know from getting to him. He is
- 26:18Speaker 15: not the one making the decisions here. And that ought
- 26:21Speaker 15: to trouble every single person, not just in America, but
- 26:24Speaker 15: frankly all over the world. And it just deeply ironic
- 26:28Speaker 15: even above that, because this is the Democratic Party, they're
- 26:32Speaker 15: making a whole stink of the fact that Donald Trump
- 26:34Speaker 15: allegedly represents a mortal threat to American democracy. They call
- 26:38Speaker 15: themselves the Party of Democracy. I mean, don't look at
- 26:41Speaker 15: the fact that they're prosecuting and trying to incarcerate the
- 26:43Speaker 15: political opposition. But even holding that massive thing aside for
- 26:47Speaker 15: a second, how's a democratic to not even know who
- 26:50Speaker 15: was running the country. How is it democratic to now
- 26:53Speaker 15: openly talk of trying to do a coup at the
- 26:55Speaker 15: convention and top all the guy that your own primary
- 26:57Speaker 15: voters just voted for. That would be the end tips
- 27:00Speaker 15: of democracy eleas as I understood. So there's more wrong
- 27:03Speaker 15: here than I possibly could get to in our conversation.
- 27:07Speaker 15: But these clips, at a bare minimum, ought to be
- 27:09Speaker 15: deeply disturbing.
- 27:10Speaker 3: Well, they are dig platostobic.
- 27:12Speaker 2: And you know, I've got to ask the question, who
- 27:14Speaker 2: is actually running for president?
- 27:16Speaker 3: Is it Joe or Jill?
- 27:19Speaker 15: So I think that it's lady macbeth, Jill Biden, I mean,
- 27:24Speaker 15: Lady Mick Biden. I guess if you will. I mean,
- 27:26Speaker 15: she is the one who's calling the shots here. And
- 27:29Speaker 15: you know, I've been speculating that for a while, that
- 27:31Speaker 15: she really is the woman behind the curtain, so to speak,
- 27:34Speaker 15: and now the media here in the United States seems
- 27:36Speaker 15: to be picking up on that. I have no idea
- 27:38Speaker 15: what she wants. I mean, Look, Joe Biden has been
- 27:41Speaker 15: in Washington, D C. For a half century. He first
- 27:45Speaker 15: got to the US Senate in nineteen seventy four. He's
- 27:47Speaker 15: run for president three or four times. The first time
- 27:50Speaker 15: was before I was even born, back in nineteen eighty eight.
- 27:53Speaker 15: What war could you want? I mean, you've had the
- 27:55Speaker 15: reigns of power, and you know, even holding aside this
- 27:58Speaker 15: Lady Macbeth just zeal for or power. If you are
- 28:01Speaker 15: a wife, shouldn't you have some sense of humiliation and
- 28:05Speaker 15: shame when your husband gets out there and just completely
- 28:09Speaker 15: embarrasses himself in front of the entire world the way
- 28:12Speaker 15: that he did on that CNN presidential debate. Even if
- 28:15Speaker 15: Joe Biden is not an American patriot, and I have
- 28:18Speaker 15: good reasons for suspecting that she probably is not a
- 28:20Speaker 15: staunch patriot. Even if you're not, surely you care as
- 28:24Speaker 15: a wife to your to your spouse who the most
- 28:27Speaker 15: recent reports showed the mate Parkinson's disease medical experts now
- 28:30Speaker 15: coming into the White House. It's a mess. It's an
- 28:32Speaker 15: absolute mess. But yes, Joe Biden is definitely not calling
- 28:35Speaker 15: the shots. He's definitely not the one who's who's receiving
- 28:38Speaker 15: the class wide information every morning in the President's daily brief.
- 28:41Speaker 15: He's not the one who's making the life or death
- 28:43Speaker 15: decisions with the with the nuclear football. And again, as
- 28:47Speaker 15: an American myself, I gravely fear for this country, and
- 28:51Speaker 15: everyone around the world ought to care because America obviously
- 28:54Speaker 15: is still a superpower, at least at least nominally speaking.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Absolutely, it's extremely concerning when theater of the free world
- 29:01Speaker 2: has been reduced to a baby and is no longer
- 29:04Speaker 2: calling the shots. And now it's been revealed that for
- 29:07Speaker 2: his events, President Biden's staff has actually prepare a short
- 29:11Speaker 2: document with large print and photos that include his precise
- 29:15Speaker 2: path to a podium, but not.
- 29:17Speaker 3: That he ever gets it right. But how tragic.
- 29:20Speaker 2: I mean, the guy can't even walk into a straight
- 29:22Speaker 2: line to the podium without some direction.
- 29:28Speaker 15: But here's here's the irony of ol okay, So Axios,
- 29:31Speaker 15: I'm happy you fly to Axios. Axios is a liberal
- 29:34Speaker 15: Google funded outlet here that is in the tank for democrats,
- 29:38Speaker 15: and Axios, like many of the liberal corporate media here
- 29:41Speaker 15: in America, has now gone all in over the past
- 29:43Speaker 15: week and a half trying to shunt by his side
- 29:46Speaker 15: Axios for the For the two years prior to that,
- 29:48Speaker 15: two and a half years, every single time one of us,
- 29:51Speaker 15: like myself, had the temerity, had the hood spot to
- 29:54Speaker 15: get up there and say, oh, Joe Biden's not fully there.
- 29:57Speaker 15: Have you seen his mental and physical decline, they would say,
- 30:00Speaker 15: shut up, you deplorable right wing maga kuka, and they
- 30:03Speaker 15: just said it over and over again, and now they're
- 30:05Speaker 15: flipping on a switch and they're basically just racing The
- 30:08Speaker 15: New York Times, CNN, USA Today, Axos. They're just racing
- 30:12Speaker 15: to see who can be the first on any given
- 30:14Speaker 15: day ending and why to produce the latest bombshell story. Sorry, media,
- 30:19Speaker 15: it's only a bombshell to you because you deliberately buried
- 30:21Speaker 15: your head in the sand trying to cover for your
- 30:23Speaker 15: precious for the past few years. This was not a
- 30:25Speaker 15: bombshell to any of us. We all saw this coming there.
- 30:28Speaker 15: So the whole thing again, it would be simply farcical
- 30:32Speaker 15: if it were not so utterly dangerous. I mean, my
- 30:34Speaker 15: number one thought when I was watching that CNN presidential
- 30:37Speaker 15: debate that the thought I had over and over again
- 30:39Speaker 15: was oh my god. I mean, what conversations are they
- 30:42Speaker 15: having right now in Beijing. I mean, you know that
- 30:44Speaker 15: she Jimping is on the phone with the People's Liberation Army.
- 30:48Speaker 15: They're probably saying, let's go invade Taiwan, probably the day
- 30:51Speaker 15: after tomorrow. So it would be merely pathetic if it
- 30:54Speaker 15: weren't so actually dangerous.
- 30:55Speaker 2: A spot on in the White House is more concerned
- 30:57Speaker 2: of whether or not the president could walk in a
- 30:59Speaker 2: straight line to podium.
- 31:00Speaker 3: Meanwhile, there's actually big global.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Issues out there and that's completely.
- 31:04Speaker 3: Being ignored now.
- 31:05Speaker 2: A former Obama advisor, Van Jones, has suggested that Vice
- 31:09Speaker 2: President Krmala Harris is effectively being positioned as the party's
- 31:13Speaker 2: de facto nominee, regardless of President Joe Biden's official status
- 31:18Speaker 2: in the race.
- 31:18Speaker 3: I mean, talk about desperation.
- 31:20Speaker 2: Krmala Harris has been one of the most unelectable people
- 31:24Speaker 2: in Democrat history, and yet she's the de facto.
- 31:30Speaker 15: Look, Kamala Harris is a bad politician. I mean, she
- 31:33Speaker 15: did not win a single primary vote in the twenty
- 31:35Speaker 15: twenty Democratic Party primary. She was out well before Iowa,
- 31:38Speaker 15: which voted first that year in the caucuses. She was
- 31:42Speaker 15: explicitly tapped to be the vice president solely for identity
- 31:45Speaker 15: politics reasons. And you know, if that's really the Democrats
- 31:49Speaker 15: best shop, then that says a lot about the current
- 31:51Speaker 15: state of their party. But she really is the only
- 31:54Speaker 15: viable alternative at this point to Joe Biden for multiple reasons.
- 31:58Speaker 15: The one reason is what I just said that ThisDay
- 32:00Speaker 15: Party in twenty twenty two, as selected Katanji Brown Jackson
- 32:05Speaker 15: to be their new Supreme Court justice explicitly because she
- 32:08Speaker 15: was a black woman. So the notion that they would
- 32:10Speaker 15: somehow skip over Kamala Harris to go pick Gavin Newsom
- 32:14Speaker 15: or Gretchen Whitmoer or anyone who is not a specifically
- 32:16Speaker 15: black or maybe Hispanic woman, the notion that they would
- 32:19Speaker 15: do that is ludicrous. If that's not who this party is.
- 32:22Speaker 15: They are an intersectional identity politics worshiping cult to their
- 32:25Speaker 15: core in the year twenty twenty four. But the second
- 32:28Speaker 15: reason why it can't be anyone other than Kamala Harris
- 32:31Speaker 15: is because in America, our campaign financial laws are somewhat complicated.
- 32:35Speaker 15: But essentially, if you donate to the Biden Harris campaign,
- 32:39Speaker 15: and right now that campaign has over two hundred million
- 32:41Speaker 15: dollars sitting in its bank accounts, you can't just then
- 32:44Speaker 15: transfer that money to a different entity. That money either
- 32:47Speaker 15: sits there there or it might go back to the donors,
- 32:50Speaker 15: or maybe it goes to the DNC, the Democratic National Committee. Frankly,
- 32:53Speaker 15: it's actually an open question as to whether that money
- 32:55Speaker 15: would even stay there if Joe Biden drops out, because
- 32:58Speaker 15: say it's Harris Whitmer, it's a different entity. So it's
- 33:01Speaker 15: legally untested as it is, but if they want any
- 33:04Speaker 15: chance of keeping that two hundred plus million dollars, it
- 33:06Speaker 15: would have to be common law. But again, the fact
- 33:08Speaker 15: that this is the choice that Democrats are facing, I think,
- 33:11Speaker 15: says everything he needs to know about the current state
- 33:12Speaker 15: of their party.
- 33:13Speaker 2: Jay Spakes Volumes, doesn't it? That's incredible to hear. Now, Look,
- 33:18Speaker 2: Donald Trump looks likely to announce his vice president just
- 33:21Speaker 2: before or during the Republican National Convention next week.
- 33:24Speaker 3: Who do you think he might go with?
- 33:28Speaker 15: Well, I'll tell you who I think he should go with,
- 33:31Speaker 15: and he happens to be one of the front runners.
- 33:32Speaker 15: So my answer is basically the same both ways. I
- 33:35Speaker 15: think that he should go with JD. Evans, who is
- 33:37Speaker 15: the young, precocious, thirty nine year old sender from Ohio.
- 33:40Speaker 15: And I'll explain to you why. You know, a lot
- 33:42Speaker 15: of people when they start playing the vice presidential sweepstakes game,
- 33:46Speaker 15: they start doing a little checklist. Okay, who fits a
- 33:49Speaker 15: certain demographic box.
- 33:50Speaker 3: You know.
- 33:50Speaker 15: That's why you hear a lot of talk about Tim
- 33:52Speaker 15: Scott because he's a black man in the US Senate,
- 33:54Speaker 15: or maybe Ben Carson, who is the black former hut director.
- 33:58Speaker 15: And then you see some people talk about who is
- 34:00Speaker 15: in a certain key state. Okay, maybe Glenn Youngkin in Virginia.
- 34:04Speaker 15: To me, jd Vance is the best pick for at
- 34:06Speaker 15: least two very important reasons. One is, if you get
- 34:09Speaker 15: down to brass tacks, the way that you win a
- 34:11Speaker 15: presidential election in the United States is via the electoral college.
- 34:14Speaker 15: It is a race to two hundred and seventy electoral votes.
- 34:17Speaker 15: Right now, Donald Trump has a commanding lead, and essentially
- 34:20Speaker 15: what we call the sun Belt down here. That's Nevada, Arizona,
- 34:24Speaker 15: North Carolina, Georgia, all of the warmer weather states where
- 34:27Speaker 15: it's still sometimes within the margin of era, not always,
- 34:30Speaker 15: but where it is still sometimes within the margin of
- 34:32Speaker 15: era in the polling is the Rust Belt. So Wisconsin, Pennsylvania,
- 34:36Speaker 15: and Michigan specifically, Trump's going to have to win at
- 34:38Speaker 15: least one of those three. Now he's in good shape
- 34:41Speaker 15: right now, frankly in all three, especially Pennsylvania. But that's
- 34:44Speaker 15: really where you want to double down.
- 34:45Speaker 3: That happens to.
- 34:46Speaker 15: Be jd Vance's core base right there. He is a
- 34:49Speaker 15: guy from Ohio who wrote a famous book called Hillbilly Elegy.
- 34:52Speaker 15: He speaks to white working class voters in the Roust
- 34:54Speaker 15: Belt better than anyone currently on Trump's list. And the
- 34:57Speaker 15: other reason why I think he's the best pick right
- 34:59Speaker 15: now is because, as I mentioned, he's a very young guy.
- 35:02Speaker 15: He's thirty nine years old. He speaks to the discontent
- 35:04Speaker 15: that millennials and Gen Z have, to the boomers who
- 35:08Speaker 15: have spent like drunken sailors who have been trying to
- 35:10Speaker 15: march all around the world, invading countries to no avail
- 35:12Speaker 15: and so forth. And at a time when Democrats are
- 35:15Speaker 15: currently hemorrhaging youth support as it is, I think Jdvans
- 35:18Speaker 15: can only solidify that exodus of young voters from the
- 35:21Speaker 15: Democrats to the Republican Party.
- 35:23Speaker 2: Well, it's going to be very interesting. We'll be watching
- 35:25Speaker 2: that announcement very closely. Now, just before we let you go,
- 35:29Speaker 2: woke activist Gropes are opposing a sex trafficking bill in California,
- 35:34Speaker 2: complaining that it will would you believe it harm the
- 35:36Speaker 2: LGBTQ community and people of color, listen to this.
- 35:41Speaker 10: Studies have shown that LGBTQ people, particularly gay and transgendered individuals,
- 35:46Speaker 10: are more likely to be charged with sex offenses compared
- 35:48Speaker 10: to their heterosexual counterparts. For instance, LGBTQ individuals are nine
- 35:53Speaker 10: times more likely to be charged with sodomy.
- 35:55Speaker 3: Measures like SB.
- 35:56Speaker 10: Fourteen fourteen lead to higher rates of incarceration, longer sentences,
- 36:00Speaker 10: and increase difficulties in fighting, housing, and employment tabe.
- 36:03Speaker 2: We can hardly be surprised, Josh. This is a sort
- 36:06Speaker 2: of response we get from the woke activists.
- 36:09Speaker 3: What on earth is going on here?
- 36:12Speaker 15: So look, I mean, if you're trying to pass a
- 36:14Speaker 15: bill that is a child safety bill, probably the number
- 36:18Speaker 15: one thing that is happening in America and in all
- 36:20Speaker 15: Western nations across the world for that matter, that is
- 36:23Speaker 15: the antithesis of child safety is genital mutilation and chemical
- 36:27Speaker 15: castration that comes about via so called gender affirming care,
- 36:30Speaker 15: which is currently one of the greatest things that the
- 36:34Speaker 15: LGBT Rainbow movement has going for it. I mean, they
- 36:36Speaker 15: very much adore these so called gender affirming surgeries. Again,
- 36:40Speaker 15: I refer to it usually as chemical castration or gentle mutilation.
- 36:45Speaker 15: So it kind of goes out saying that if you
- 36:47Speaker 15: are part of this woke LGBT mafia, then you are
- 36:50Speaker 15: going to oppose a bill in the name of child safety.
- 36:53Speaker 15: But you know, The silver lining is when I see
- 36:55Speaker 15: a story like this, the people who come out in
- 36:58Speaker 15: opposition to a common sense legislation like this, they're only
- 37:01Speaker 15: ultimately making a fool of themselves. And if you are
- 37:04Speaker 15: kind of a sensible, moderate, middle of the road person
- 37:07Speaker 15: out there still trying to decide where to put your
- 37:09Speaker 15: political loyalties, you see a video like that and you say, wow,
- 37:13Speaker 15: I want nothing to do with.
- 37:14Speaker 2: Them your spot on. I think many people can share
- 37:18Speaker 2: that view. Josh Hammer, thank you for joining us. Still
- 37:21Speaker 2: to come, Nigel Farages reform UK are accused of building
- 37:25Speaker 2: fake AI generated candidates more with Darren Grimes.
- 37:29Speaker 3: Next welcome back.
- 37:40Speaker 2: Joining me now is gb News host Darren Grimes.
- 37:43Speaker 3: Darren, thanks for joining us.
- 37:45Speaker 2: Let's start with the new UK Prime Minister Kia Stamer,
- 37:48Speaker 2: who is set to meet with Joe Biden at the
- 37:50Speaker 2: White House for their first face to face meeting. Look,
- 37:54Speaker 2: I've got to say, hopefully Joe Biden stays awake long
- 37:56Speaker 2: enough to actually.
- 37:57Speaker 3: Greet the upm. But what can we expect from these talks?
- 38:02Speaker 1: Well, look, I think you may be onto something there. Right,
- 38:05Speaker 1: It'll be nothing short of a miracle if secure Starmer
- 38:08Speaker 1: with all the charisma of an automated voice from one
- 38:11Speaker 1: of those big corporates telling you that your call is
- 38:14Speaker 1: important to them, driving you absolutely spare. It'll be a
- 38:18Speaker 1: miracle if that man doesn't send this ailing president.
- 38:20Speaker 3: Straight to sleep.
- 38:21Speaker 1: So you're absolutely spot on. But look, I think what's
- 38:25Speaker 1: crucial here is that Sekre Starmer wants to immediately start
- 38:29Speaker 1: discussions on issues like Ukraine, on demanding a ceasefire in Israel.
- 38:35Speaker 1: He has big populations with Muslim votes and that's a
- 38:39Speaker 1: real key issue to a lot of his voter base. Now,
- 38:43Speaker 1: to me, and I'm sure many viewers agree with this,
- 38:46Speaker 1: I wouldn't mind seeing a little bit of tension with
- 38:49Speaker 1: this new Prime minister on issues we face here at
- 38:52Speaker 1: home right, domestic issues which are many mass migration. You've
- 38:57Speaker 1: got a legal migration of the kind that Australia once saw,
- 39:02Speaker 1: chronic housing shortages, healthcare waiting lists, swallen class sizes in
- 39:08Speaker 1: part thanks to that mass migration that I speak of.
- 39:11Speaker 1: And yet this war that shows as in Ukraine, especially
- 39:15Speaker 1: showing all signs of ceasing that we've pumped billions into
- 39:20Speaker 1: in arms and cash, that's viewed as more important to
- 39:24Speaker 1: the incoming Prime minister than domestic issues. And let's not
- 39:29Speaker 1: forget right that Ukraine is a nation that was dismissed
- 39:32Speaker 1: by natal has been a little bit too.
- 39:33Speaker 3: Corrupt for them.
- 39:35Speaker 1: So I'm not sure many of the British people are
- 39:37Speaker 1: going to have that much sympathy for this Prime minister
- 39:40Speaker 1: focusing resolutely and doggedly on these issues as far as
- 39:45Speaker 1: foreign policy is concerned. Over the many pressing issues that
- 39:49Speaker 1: we face in this country domestically, we've got serious issues here.
- 39:53Speaker 1: It cannot be overstated.
- 39:56Speaker 3: Now, that's a good point, and I've got to say
- 39:58Speaker 3: the UK looks like it for quite a ride.
- 40:01Speaker 2: Keir Starmer says he wants to reduce the number of
- 40:04Speaker 2: people going into prison.
- 40:05Speaker 3: He says there's too many in the system.
- 40:07Speaker 2: So Darren not only will he resume processing asylum applications
- 40:11Speaker 2: for illegal arrivals, it looks like he's going to let
- 40:14Speaker 2: criminals out soon.
- 40:17Speaker 1: Yeah. You couldn't make it up, really, could you doubt
- 40:19Speaker 1: I'm alone in thinking that this is all gone to
- 40:21Speaker 1: bite the nation royally in the backside, right, I mean,
- 40:24Speaker 1: the new Labor Prisons Minister has said that only a
- 40:27Speaker 1: third of the Britain of the British prison population should
- 40:31Speaker 1: actually be behind bars. Now he's made laudable moves in
- 40:35Speaker 1: his own career in his key cutting business, which is
- 40:39Speaker 1: quite a large business here in Britain, at hiring former offenders. Now,
- 40:44Speaker 1: that sort of thing, I think is an initiative we
- 40:47Speaker 1: can get behind. We are all forgiven for giving sinners right,
- 40:51Speaker 1: none of us are beyond redemption, if you go back
- 40:55Speaker 1: many a moon. We used to believe that. But I
- 40:58Speaker 1: think that's quite different, though quite different to suggesting that
- 41:02Speaker 1: criminals ought to be not to not be banged up
- 41:07Speaker 1: at all by approving automatic release of convicts less than
- 41:11Speaker 1: halfway through the sentence to actually free up prison population. Right,
- 41:16Speaker 1: we already live in a country in which criminals don't
- 41:19Speaker 1: fear repercussions for theft, for vandalism, for burglaries, the sort
- 41:23Speaker 1: of sites you would see in San Francisco. They're very
- 41:26Speaker 1: much coming to London. We're having to lock up basic
- 41:29Speaker 1: goods and food stuffs to avoid them being ransacked from supermarkets. Now,
- 41:34Speaker 1: these things happen without investigation in many cases, and it
- 41:38Speaker 1: doesn't take a genius right to figure out that if
- 41:41Speaker 1: criminality goes unpunished, then more people will be tempted to
- 41:47Speaker 1: take it up as their own tax free profession. So
- 41:50Speaker 1: I just wonder how many people would have voted for
- 41:53Speaker 1: the Labor Party had they placed this get out of
- 41:57Speaker 1: jail free card quite literally into their manifestal. And of course,
- 42:02Speaker 1: on illegal migration, granting amnesty to those that have arrived
- 42:06Speaker 1: here illegally, that is utter madness. How do we know
- 42:10Speaker 1: these people don't wish us harm? Why are they here?
- 42:13Speaker 1: We don't want them here? And I'm afraid it's quite
- 42:16Speaker 1: as simple as that for the British public.
- 42:19Speaker 2: Well, look, it sounds like a complete recipe for disaster,
- 42:22Speaker 2: doesn't it, And it's just going to keep spiraling out.
- 42:24Speaker 3: Of control From here.
- 42:25Speaker 2: I want to go through Kia Starmer's new cabinet. It
- 42:28Speaker 2: looks like a complete psycho circus. You've got the new
- 42:32Speaker 2: Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice Shabana ma Muda,
- 42:37Speaker 2: pro Palestine activists with a history of anti Israel pro
- 42:41Speaker 2: Gazas sentiments. You've got the UK's new Foreign Secretary David Lammy,
- 42:45Speaker 2: who well, I mean he thinks that men can grow
- 42:48Speaker 2: a cervix.
- 42:49Speaker 18: I don't know if it's transphobic, but it's not accurate, nick,
- 42:54Speaker 18: I mean, obviously it's probably the case only that transfim
- 42:59Speaker 18: in don't have over it's but a cervix, I understand,
- 43:02Speaker 18: is something that you can have following various procedures and
- 43:06Speaker 18: hormone treatment and all the rest of it.
- 43:08Speaker 3: And we can't forget this iconic Lammy moment.
- 43:11Speaker 18: It feels like neighborhood policing has vanished.
- 43:14Speaker 6: It's not around you.
- 43:16Speaker 18: We haven't seen a police while I've been here, and
- 43:18Speaker 18: I've been here for a little while now.
- 43:20Speaker 2: Darren, look a bunch of complete weirdos by the sounds.
- 43:25Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely, I mean a miss mood just as Secretary.
- 43:29Speaker 1: You know, she tried pandering to the extremists within the
- 43:34Speaker 1: United Kingdom with those more extreme elements, at least within
- 43:38Speaker 1: the British mainstream, I guess you could argue, and that
- 43:43Speaker 1: hasn't worked out because the sheer levels of intimidation and
- 43:46Speaker 1: threats that she was met with during the general election
- 43:49Speaker 1: just show that pandering to these hate marches and the
- 43:52Speaker 1: hate marchers that have marched on our streets every weekend
- 43:56Speaker 1: since October seventh doesn't get you anywhere. They don't want
- 43:59Speaker 1: to reason. They actually would quite like to overthrow the
- 44:02Speaker 1: system of the United Kingdom, so you've got to stand
- 44:04Speaker 1: resolutely against them, and hopefully misbemoved might see that now
- 44:09Speaker 1: after that general election experience in which he did receive
- 44:12Speaker 1: really quite abhorrent intimidation. But on David Lammy, I mean,
- 44:15Speaker 1: there is no redemption for this man. He really is
- 44:18Speaker 1: a plank. I mean, I honestly don't know how this
- 44:21Speaker 1: man managed to get a university degree. It is quite extraordinary.
- 44:25Speaker 1: I'm often told by the left right that I am
- 44:28Speaker 1: uneducated because I don't actually have a degree. But when
- 44:32Speaker 1: people like that within the Labor Shadow Cabinet in the
- 44:36Speaker 1: now Cabinet are spouting out these nonsense banalities, well you
- 44:44Speaker 1: sort of think a degree clearly in all that helpful
- 44:47Speaker 1: in modern Britain is it? And I'm afraid to say,
- 44:51Speaker 1: in many respects, these are diversity and inclusion hires that
- 44:57Speaker 1: are going to not serve the British public one iota.
- 45:02Speaker 1: And it's the same old Labor Party folks. They keep
- 45:06Speaker 1: saying they've changed. They really haven't. You should be there
- 45:08Speaker 1: on talent and I tell you what, David Lammy, well
- 45:12Speaker 1: he ain't got much of that.
- 45:14Speaker 2: Well clearly, I mean, as you said, the guy is
- 45:16Speaker 2: a complete plank. Now, look the rice to replace Raschie
- 45:20Speaker 2: Sounac as Tory later is unificially underway.
- 45:24Speaker 3: Who's in the running here?
- 45:25Speaker 1: Yeah, So the Tories believed to actually be preparing their
- 45:29Speaker 1: bids include the former Immigration Minister Robert Jenrick, the former
- 45:33Speaker 1: Home Secretary Pretty Petail. There's a security minister, Tom tougan
- 45:37Speaker 1: Hat and the former Business secretary Kemmy Badknock. Now, according
- 45:41Speaker 1: to the betting markets, Kemmy Badknock actually currently stands the
- 45:45Speaker 1: greatest chance. But the makeup of the Parliamentary Party it's
- 45:50Speaker 1: changed so significantly by the sheer numbers of loss, so
- 45:54Speaker 1: it's very difficult to actually predict which direction the party
- 45:57Speaker 1: will move in, whether that be you know what, an
- 46:00Speaker 1: attempt to return to some attempt at half baked centrist conservatism.
- 46:05Speaker 1: You know, I'm thinking more Malcolm Turnbull than Tony Abbott,
- 46:09Speaker 1: or whether or not they try and go and actually
- 46:13Speaker 1: give conservatism a chance which has won elections for the party.
- 46:18Speaker 1: Might I say many times in the past you could
- 46:20Speaker 1: argue in twenty nineteen bolstering the Nation state telling people
- 46:25Speaker 1: that you would lower immigration, which they didn't, which is
- 46:28Speaker 1: why they lost, by the way, But telling people that
- 46:30Speaker 1: you're bos at the nation state, quite a conservative, small
- 46:33Speaker 1: c conservative message, but they didn't succeed in that mission.
- 46:38Speaker 1: So I say, give conservatism a go and you might
- 46:41Speaker 1: win some elections. But suwella Bravman, the former Home Secretary
- 46:45Speaker 1: who's been a key figure on the right of the party,
- 46:48Speaker 1: is said to be losing support to the former Immigration
- 46:52Speaker 1: Minister Robert Jenrick for being two right wing, for speaking
- 46:56Speaker 1: out pretty plainly dare I say, in quite an ozzie
- 46:59Speaker 1: thing on issues like LGBT, the new trans madness, puberty blockers,
- 47:06Speaker 1: hormone treatments, you name it. She's been speaking out on
- 47:09Speaker 1: this as well as immigration, and some members of the
- 47:12Speaker 1: party are saying she's two right wing. Well I'm sorry,
- 47:16Speaker 1: where has Where did was she soon that get you right?
- 47:19Speaker 1: Where did this trying to be everything to everyone actually
- 47:23Speaker 1: get you? What did that achieve? So I'm hoping, I'm
- 47:27Speaker 1: really hoping that the party wakes up to that otherwise,
- 47:32Speaker 1: So tell you what, Nigel Farage is going to be
- 47:34Speaker 1: laughing all the way to the ballot box.
- 47:36Speaker 2: Well, speaking of Nigel Farage and Reform UK, they've come
- 47:40Speaker 2: under pressure to provide evidence that it's candidates that the
- 47:43Speaker 2: general election were all real people.
- 47:46Speaker 3: What's that about?
- 47:49Speaker 1: This is an absurdity. So this guy that we've got
- 47:53Speaker 1: on screen there right now, he was actually on the
- 47:57Speaker 1: channel I work for called gb News in this country,
- 48:00Speaker 1: So he is real.
- 48:01Speaker 3: He does exists, I promise.
- 48:03Speaker 1: Apparently he had edited his tie to look more in
- 48:06Speaker 1: keeping with the Reform UK Light blue, which is fair enough.
- 48:12Speaker 1: But you know, all of the hysteria, especially on Twitter
- 48:17Speaker 1: or x, has been absolutely hysterical. And it's from those
- 48:21Speaker 1: And I tell you what this is. It's really quite simple.
- 48:24Speaker 1: It's from those who seek to destroy and denegrate the
- 48:28Speaker 1: four million votes that Reform One as a fledgling new party.
- 48:32Speaker 1: Four weeks worth of campaigning is all Nigel Farage actually
- 48:35Speaker 1: undertook and they won four million votes and five seats
- 48:39Speaker 1: in the House of Commons under our pretty damn destroyed
- 48:44Speaker 1: electoral system. But he did that right, And they try
- 48:48Speaker 1: to dismiss that electoral success by saying, oh, well, a
- 48:53Speaker 1: lot of your people standing your party weren't real. You
- 48:57Speaker 1: must be swayed by put in bots, Nigerian bots I've heard,
- 49:02Speaker 1: or what a ponchant for putinesque, you know, anti Ukraine sentiment.
- 49:07Speaker 1: It's all just a lord of nonsense to try and
- 49:10Speaker 1: diminish the party's success, because the party actually came second
- 49:16Speaker 1: in a hell of a lot of Labor Party constituencies
- 49:20Speaker 1: that are in the so called Red Wall, that is,
- 49:22Speaker 1: the working class parts of England. So I think actually
- 49:28Speaker 1: this is all part of the left freaking out at
- 49:31Speaker 1: reform success and wanting to actually seek to destroy in
- 49:36Speaker 1: any way it can.
- 49:37Speaker 2: That's very very clear. Darren Grimes, good to speak with you,
- 49:40Speaker 2: Thank you very much for joining us tonight, and that's
- 49:43Speaker 2: it from me. Up next is Newsnight, good Night.
