- 2:01Speaker 1: I'm Brian.
- 2:01Speaker 7: I'm Nora.
- 2:02Speaker 2: I'm Phillip.
- 2:02Speaker 1: And we're coming to you live via digital recording from
- 2:05Speaker 1: New York City. Or it may or may not be
- 2:08Speaker 1: somewhere in Canada. One or the other. That is the
- 2:11Speaker 1: Oddity Studios. We are back for another not exclusive club episode.
- 2:20Speaker 1: We've decided because this is a big new release, so
- 2:23Speaker 1: we could throw it out there and use this to
- 2:26Speaker 1: let people know that we have a horror club and
- 2:28Speaker 1: you should come and join is essentially where we're going
- 2:31Speaker 1: with this. So this is for everyone to enjoy or
- 2:34Speaker 1: be annoyed by, whichever. You may disagree with a lot
- 2:37Speaker 1: of what we say. Who knows, but. If you like
- 2:39Speaker 1: listening to us or disagreeing with us, come join the
- 2:42Speaker 1: Patreon Horror Club and then you can have this every
- 2:45Speaker 1: time we do one of these. See, that's why we're here.
- 2:49Speaker 1: And like we normally do at the intro of all
- 2:52Speaker 1: these Horror Club episodes, have you seen anything creepy lately?
- 2:58Speaker 7: I have. I saw a movie called Resurrection, and it
- 3:02Speaker 7: came out last year. It's Rebecca Hall and Tim Roth
- 3:07Speaker 7: are the main two.
- 3:08Speaker 1: I've heard about this. Yeah, I have not seen it.
- 3:12Speaker 7: It was so good. It kind of starts off as
- 3:15Speaker 7: a basic thriller of this woman left this guy 20
- 3:19Speaker 7: years ago, moved to another place, and he finds her,
- 3:21Speaker 7: and then it's like... you're kind of figuring out what
- 3:24Speaker 7: happened between them, but then it just really goes off
- 3:27Speaker 7: the rails towards the end. And it's like very gory
- 3:31Speaker 7: and upsetting, but their performances are like so incredible that I.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Keep hearing about this, like almost, um, like monologue that
- 3:40Speaker 1: she gives to the camera. That's like amazing.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:43Speaker 7: There's like, I think it's like eight minutes and it's
- 3:46Speaker 7: one shot and it just stays on her as she
- 3:48Speaker 7: tells the story about how they met and what happened
- 3:50Speaker 7: and everything. And as I'm watching it, like, her eyes
- 3:53Speaker 7: start welling up. And at the exact time a tear
- 3:56Speaker 7: fell from her eye, a single tear fell from my eye.
- 3:59Speaker 7: And I was like, oh, my God.
- 4:01Speaker 1: She is that good.
- 4:02Speaker 7: Because it was so just, like, her acting and the
- 4:05Speaker 7: things she was saying. And it was just like, oh,
- 4:08Speaker 7: my God.
- 4:09Speaker 2: I refuse to watch movies that give me the feels.
- 4:13Speaker 1: I'll have none of that.
- 4:15Speaker 7: I haven't seen.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Prefer to be dead inside, thank you.
- 4:18Speaker 7: I know she's in that movie, The Night House, but
- 4:19Speaker 7: I haven't seen that one yet, although I've had it
- 4:21Speaker 7: recommended to me. But just from this, I'm like, oh,
- 4:24Speaker 7: she's an incredible actress.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Yeah. Like, holy cow. And he is really good. And
- 4:27Speaker 1: Tim Roth, I mean, has always been amazing from day one. Yeah.
- 4:31Speaker 7: He plays it very, like, casual, but it's like the
- 4:35Speaker 7: undercurrent of the things he's doing. You're just like, whoa,
- 4:38Speaker 7: I don't know. So, yeah, highly recommend that one. It
- 4:41Speaker 7: was very impactful, I.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Guess I will say.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Nice. Mm-hmm.
- 4:46Speaker 2: I might give it a shot, but you'll hear about
- 4:49Speaker 2: it if it makes me cry.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I've got a couple. I'll do a normal one, and
- 4:59Speaker 1: I've got a ridiculous one I can throw in. If
- 5:01Speaker 1: you've got one, I can throw in afterwards. This one
- 5:05Speaker 1: I almost want to get out of the way now.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Because if you are a normal Patreon subscriber type of person,
- 5:13Speaker 1: you also get to help pick movies that we're going
- 5:15Speaker 1: to talk about on the Horror Club. And I'm hoping
- 5:18Speaker 1: no one picks this one. Because I kind of don't
- 5:21Speaker 1: want to have to watch it again. So I figure
- 5:24Speaker 1: if I get it out of the way now, nobody
- 5:26Speaker 1: will have to assign it to us. But I have
- 5:28Speaker 1: been because I'm just into horror movies forever. But there's
- 5:33Speaker 1: so many roads, I've just kind of barely headed down.
- 5:36Speaker 1: one of which we've gotten into a little on the
- 5:38Speaker 1: Horror Club, Jalo stuff. So I keep coming across movies,
- 5:43Speaker 1: and I'm like, oh, this looks like it's part of
- 5:45Speaker 1: that genre. Let's pick this up. And I got one
- 5:48Speaker 1: last year, and it was really good, and I'm fine
- 5:50Speaker 1: with putting that one on the list. I won't go
- 5:51Speaker 1: into that one now. I'm hoping someone chooses that one.
- 5:54Speaker 1: But then I pick this one up, and I'm like,
- 5:55Speaker 1: all right, I think I've heard the title before, because, again,
- 5:58Speaker 1: they have crazy titles. But I was just like, don't
- 6:01Speaker 1: know anything about it. Let's go ahead and watch this.
- 6:04Speaker 1: I watched The Pajama Girl Case. pajama girl pajama with
- 6:08Speaker 1: a y by the way p-y-j-a-m-a is that not how
- 6:13Speaker 1: you spell pajama i don't know i don't spell pajamas
- 6:16Speaker 1: much but it's so like after even pretty early on
- 6:24Speaker 1: i was like you know i'm not really having fun
- 6:26Speaker 1: i know it's like what year is it the 70s
- 6:32Speaker 1: i'm assuming yeah 77 so i know it's the 70s
- 6:34Speaker 1: in italy but Good God, this is misogynist.
- 6:37Speaker 2: I was going to say, when you said 70s in Italy, I.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Was just like, hold on tight. I mean, on the
- 6:43Speaker 1: one hand, this girl is getting herself into trouble because
- 6:46Speaker 1: for being 1977, she is a freewheeling gal. She is
- 6:51Speaker 1: having at least three affairs that I know of in
- 6:53Speaker 1: the beginning of this movie. So I'm like, I'm supposed
- 6:56Speaker 1: to be sex positive to make a reference from later.
- 6:59Speaker 1: But I mean, really, I'm just like, girl, please settle
- 7:02Speaker 1: it down. I think one of these guys is married.
- 7:05Speaker 7: Come on.
- 7:05Speaker 1: You're going to get yourself in trouble, which kind of happens.
- 7:08Speaker 1: So I'm like, just that's too much. Again, I don't
- 7:11Speaker 1: care if you're a girl or a guy. Quit having
- 7:13Speaker 1: just leave it alone. Just to people that are screwing around.
- 7:16Speaker 1: I don't get it. I'm like, that seems like way
- 7:18Speaker 1: too much trouble to me. I don't know. No, I've
- 7:21Speaker 1: always kind of been of that mode. I've always been
- 7:23Speaker 1: super monogamistic anyway. But but now I'm just like when
- 7:28Speaker 1: people have like affairs and shit, I'm like, really?
- 7:30Speaker 2: Really?
- 7:31Speaker 1: I can't imagine putting up with one person, let alone
- 7:34Speaker 1: putting up with another and having to go through the
- 7:36Speaker 1: theatrics of hiding.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Just logistically.
- 7:39Speaker 1: I know. Just like, this is exhausting. And I morally
- 7:43Speaker 1: have issues with it, but mostly it's exhausting. Please stop
- 7:46Speaker 1: screwing around on each other. So that's just kind of
- 7:49Speaker 1: my feeling in general. So I already kind of disagree
- 7:51Speaker 1: with her, but then every guy in her life is
- 7:53Speaker 1: an asshole. And then we get to... This is mostly
- 7:59Speaker 1: why I wanted to throw it out there. I want
- 8:00Speaker 1: to see if you guys think this is a good idea.
- 8:03Speaker 1: For this case. Because it's also like an old cop.
- 8:06Speaker 1: They always work in an old cop. A lot of
- 8:09Speaker 1: times he's American for some reason. I don't know. But
- 8:11Speaker 1: there's this old guy that comes out of retirement to
- 8:13Speaker 1: help solve this pajama girl case.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Apparently this is based on a true story.
- 8:18Speaker 1: I'm hoping this part I'm about... Watching it, I didn't
- 8:22Speaker 1: even realize that. So I just brought it up and went,
- 8:24Speaker 1: oh god, did this really happen in Italy? So... They
- 8:28Speaker 1: find this girl on the beach. I'm not ruining anything.
- 8:30Speaker 1: It's the first scene. Which, okay, while I'm nitpicking, because
- 8:33Speaker 1: we're hopefully not going to do this movie, there's a
- 8:35Speaker 1: girl walking on the beach in the beginning, like a
- 8:37Speaker 1: little girl, and it's sunny out. Okay, so if you
- 8:40Speaker 1: have an umbrella of some sort, that's the parasol idea
- 8:43Speaker 1: to keep sun off of you. She's got one of
- 8:45Speaker 1: those completely clear plastic umbrellas.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Oh.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Just annoys the fuck out of me. I'm just like,
- 8:53Speaker 1: what are you accomplishing, child? I know you're a small child,
- 8:56Speaker 1: but somebody smack her upside the head and explain this
- 8:59Speaker 1: is not doing anything for you. Okay, that rant aside.
- 9:04Speaker 1: So then there's a dead body on the beach and
- 9:06Speaker 1: they're like, oh, her face is all jacked up. It's
- 9:09Speaker 1: mostly just skull and burned up and messed up, but
- 9:12Speaker 1: her body is still normal. So, yeah, gross. So, gross. Gross.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Here's their idea. We don't know who she, I guess
- 9:19Speaker 1: they hadn't figured out, I don't know, fingerprints or dental
- 9:22Speaker 1: records or anything in this world of 77 Italy. So
- 9:27Speaker 1: we don't know how to identify who it is because
- 9:29Speaker 1: her face is all jacked up. We're going to get
- 9:33Speaker 1: a clear box and put her on display in the
- 9:37Speaker 1: middle of what town hall, some giant like civic building.
- 9:42Speaker 1: And like, Well, she's got these yellow pajamas that she
- 9:46Speaker 1: was wearing at the time. Well, that might cover up
- 9:48Speaker 1: some sort of identifying mark that someone might recognize. So
- 9:51Speaker 1: we're going to lay her nude with her jacked up
- 9:55Speaker 1: skull face in the middle of town and let the
- 9:59Speaker 1: entirety of town parade past her and decide if they
- 10:02Speaker 1: know who she is oh no is that not disturbing
- 10:06Speaker 1: on a lot.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Of levels I mean come on Italy.
- 10:10Speaker 1: And that's maybe the most interesting thing about them It
- 10:13Speaker 1: does by the end do some like structuring stuff that
- 10:16Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, for the time, this was probably kind
- 10:19Speaker 1: of groundbreaking ish, but it does not make it worth
- 10:22Speaker 1: all the bullshit that goes on in between. So yeah,
- 10:27Speaker 1: that is like the beginning, the focal point of what
- 10:30Speaker 1: they decide to do with this case. I'm using air
- 10:32Speaker 1: quotes case. We're, we're going to try to identify who
- 10:36Speaker 1: she is by putting her naked body on display with
- 10:40Speaker 1: her jacked up face. They don't even cover up the face.
- 10:42Speaker 1: You just parade right past her all of the things.
- 10:47Speaker 7: Oh, I hope that didn't really happen in real life.
- 10:49Speaker 1: That's the part I was just like, it just occurred
- 10:51Speaker 1: to me when I got, I was like, oh shit,
- 10:52Speaker 1: did that part happen? I hope not.
- 10:54Speaker 2: I was reading about the case on Wikipedia and I didn't.
- 10:57Speaker 1: If you know more about the real world case, you
- 10:59Speaker 1: can write in and let us know, but it doesn't
- 11:01Speaker 1: make me like the movie anymore. Yikes. Everybody's just kind
- 11:06Speaker 1: of a jerk. I don't like it. So the pajama
- 11:10Speaker 1: girl case, don't assign us that. I'd just probably fuel
- 11:14Speaker 1: the fire on that one, but whatever. Give us some
- 11:17Speaker 1: other ones. There's plenty of other ones I want to watch.
- 11:20Speaker 1: This one was just a misfire, if you ask me.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Oh, my God. It says, after the initial investigation failed
- 11:28Speaker 2: to identify her, the body was taken to Sydney where
- 11:30Speaker 2: it was put on public exhibition. She was preserved in
- 11:35Speaker 2: a bath of formalin for this purpose at the Sydney
- 11:38Speaker 2: University Medical School.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Yeah, they do show that.
- 11:41Speaker 2: But then it doesn't go, it doesn't say anything about
- 11:44Speaker 2: being put in a glass box or anything.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that was another weird confusing one because
- 11:50Speaker 1: they're showing the big buildings. I'm like, isn't that in Australia?
- 11:53Speaker 1: So I guess it was supposed to be in Australia,
- 11:56Speaker 1: but the Italians shooting it and then it's all dubbed
- 11:58Speaker 1: in overly bad English. So I'm just like, I don't
- 12:01Speaker 1: know what country we're in right now. So, and again,
- 12:04Speaker 1: the cop's American, I think. So like none of it
- 12:06Speaker 1: made any sense where you were or what was going
- 12:09Speaker 1: on or. Crazy movies.
- 12:15Speaker 8: Fun.
- 12:16Speaker 2: There's actually been several movies based on this. Ooh, and
- 12:19Speaker 2: a play.
- 12:20Speaker 7: What was the name of the woman?
- 12:26Speaker 2: Linda Agostini.
- 12:28Speaker 3: Aw.
- 12:29Speaker 1: R.I.P. Linda.
- 12:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:31Speaker 7: Sorry about your body.
- 12:33Speaker 2: I'm sorry all that happened to you, and I'm sorry
- 12:35Speaker 2: that we're sitting here trudging it all back up again.
- 12:40Speaker 1: I just said the movie was lame. Yeah. So have
- 12:44Speaker 1: you seen anything?
- 12:46Speaker 2: I recently rewatched Return of the Living Dead Part 2,
- 12:52Speaker 2: which creeped me the hell out as a kid. And
- 12:54Speaker 2: now I just thought, what an enormous waste of time.
- 12:58Speaker 1: I mean, I like the second one, but the second
- 13:01Speaker 1: one is just like, at least the first still skates
- 13:04Speaker 1: the line of horror and comedy. It's still mostly comedy,
- 13:07Speaker 1: but there's plenty of horrific stuff in that first one.
- 13:10Speaker 1: The second one is just full on silly ass zombies.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Just straight silly.
- 13:13Speaker 3: It is.
- 13:14Speaker 1: And don't hear me out. Again, I think it's a
- 13:16Speaker 1: lot of fun, but it is a goofy comedy if.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Ever there was. It was, oh boy, it was tough
- 13:21Speaker 2: to get through.
- 13:22Speaker 1: And my favorite use of actors, because they use the
- 13:26Speaker 1: same actors in the sequel. They're playing different characters. Yeah.
- 13:30Speaker 1: They don't address it. They even make reference to lines
- 13:33Speaker 1: from the first one. Do they not? They're saying lines
- 13:37Speaker 1: from the first one that those same characters said. almost
- 13:40Speaker 1: knowingly to the audience of like hey get it it's
- 13:43Speaker 1: us hey guys we're back.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Well what was really weird about that was after i
- 13:47Speaker 2: finished that i immediately started watching the day of the
- 13:51Speaker 2: dead remake which i didn't even know there was a
- 13:54Speaker 2: day oh.
- 13:54Speaker 1: It's rough i don't know if i finished that one
- 13:56Speaker 1: it is.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Well i was just confused because i was like ving
- 14:00Speaker 2: rames is in both of them.
- 14:01Speaker 8: But not two different characters i had that issue too
- 14:05Speaker 8: because it's mina suvari i think yeah Which is a
- 14:08Speaker 8: weird move for her, too, because I'm like, this is
- 14:11Speaker 8: if ever there was like a.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Series of movies that takes a drop. Yeah. It's like
- 14:18Speaker 1: the night remake. If you like that one, most people
- 14:21Speaker 1: are pretty OK with that one. A lot of people.
- 14:23Speaker 1: I love the day remake. It's a very different movie,
- 14:26Speaker 1: but I love it for what it is. And then
- 14:28Speaker 1: you get to that day, which is, again, a pretty
- 14:31Speaker 1: loose remake, much like the Dawn one.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, at least the Dawn, at least they were like, well,
- 14:36Speaker 2: let's put this one in a mall.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll still end up in a mall. That's mostly
- 14:41Speaker 1: the similarities.
- 14:42Speaker 2: And then in the Day remake, they were like, oh,
- 14:44Speaker 2: I think they're... Military, kind of. And there were military
- 14:46Speaker 2: guys in the original, so let's put them in here,
- 14:49Speaker 2: sort of.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll put them in here, kind of. Yeah, it's rough.
- 14:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:53Speaker 1: I kind of... I still don't know if I got
- 14:56Speaker 1: all the way through it. It was bad. Well, my
- 15:02Speaker 1: only other sort of tie-in, and I'll only bring this up,
- 15:05Speaker 1: and if you follow my nonsense on Facebook, which rarely
- 15:10Speaker 1: do I post anything that I'm actually doing because I
- 15:12Speaker 1: don't do anything outside of the show, but since I
- 15:15Speaker 1: went to visit a legend, I got to see the
- 15:20Speaker 1: actual cocaine bear. Oh, yes.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Pablo Escobar?
- 15:24Speaker 3: Yes.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Yes. Yes. Because I was having a weird day and
- 15:29Speaker 1: I was just like, you know, if things were going
- 15:32Speaker 1: right in my life, I'd head on down there and
- 15:34Speaker 1: go see the actual cocaine bear hanging out in the
- 15:38Speaker 1: lobby of the theater and go see the movie. And
- 15:41Speaker 1: then I was, again, in a weird mood. I was like,
- 15:42Speaker 1: fuck it, I'm just going. So I just, up in
- 15:45Speaker 1: that morning, started driving on over there. And yeah, I
- 15:48Speaker 1: got to the Kentucky Theater where they had the bear
- 15:50Speaker 1: in the lobby. They had your little banner so you
- 15:52Speaker 1: could do your photo op with him and I'm not
- 15:57Speaker 1: usually into taxidermy, as I said when I posted the photos.
- 15:59Speaker 1: I was like, not normally a thing I'm into, surprisingly
- 16:02Speaker 1: for some people. But, yeah, just because it's such a
- 16:07Speaker 1: ridiculously legendary story now. Right. And then immediately somebody's like, well,
- 16:12Speaker 1: it's probably not the bear. I think they can't prove
- 16:15Speaker 1: that that's what killed him. And I was like, do
- 16:17Speaker 1: you also, do you walk by little kids and pop
- 16:20Speaker 1: their balloons before you shove people in wheelchairs downstairs? What
- 16:24Speaker 1: are you doing? Just, I'm just going to take a
- 16:26Speaker 1: picture of a bear wearing a hat. It's funny. All right.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Leave me alone. So of course somebody immediately, it's the
- 16:32Speaker 1: internet for you, but yeah. So if you haven't seen
- 16:35Speaker 1: cocaine bear, which I've now had several, again, I'm using
- 16:39Speaker 1: my quotes. Normal people go, you saw Cocaine Bear? What
- 16:43Speaker 1: do you think? And I'm like, you know, if you
- 16:46Speaker 1: think you're going to like a movie called Cocaine Bear,
- 16:50Speaker 1: it's fine. You're going to have a good time. If
- 16:52Speaker 1: you think that sounds like something that you don't want
- 16:54Speaker 1: to see, you're right. You probably don't want to see it.
- 16:58Speaker 2: I feel it's a lot like Snakes on a Plane.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Yeah, it is. You get what you expect out of it.
- 17:04Speaker 1: I kind of thought about that at the time.
- 17:07Speaker 2: If you walk in thinking, well, this is going to
- 17:08Speaker 2: be the next Citizen Kane, you're probably... You're way off.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaking of Elizabeth Banks. She is the director of that.
- 17:17Speaker 1: And truthfully does a good job. She's made a few weird... Again,
- 17:21Speaker 1: I can never remember. What did she do that was stupid?
- 17:24Speaker 1: Because she did something stupid. And I think the one
- 17:26Speaker 1: that I'm like.
- 17:26Speaker 2: I don't know. She probably punched a zoo animal.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Well, the one that I think got her... Didn't get
- 17:33Speaker 1: her full on cancelled. I guess thankfully. Because it's just
- 17:36Speaker 1: a dumb comment. But again this is one of those.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Stop making dumb comments on the internet. Because she made
- 17:41Speaker 1: her last movie. Or what was one of her last movies.
- 17:44Speaker 1: And then got all up in arms. That like it
- 17:47Speaker 1: wasn't supported. And then she went online and was like.
- 17:49Speaker 1: You know people just don't want to support a female
- 17:51Speaker 1: fronted project. And a female director. And then everybody was like.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Except the movie you made was Charlie's Angels and it
- 17:59Speaker 1: looked like crap. So like, don't blame it on that
- 18:03Speaker 1: if you're going to make a crappy movie. Like, go
- 18:05Speaker 1: make a good movie and then hopefully people will support
- 18:08Speaker 1: you because you made a good movie, but you made
- 18:11Speaker 1: Charlie's Angels.
- 18:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Which even I haven't watched that Charlie's Angels. I looked
- 18:16Speaker 1: at it and went, no, no, I don't care. So,
- 18:21Speaker 1: but yeah, if you've seen... Any of the trailers, it's that.
- 18:26Speaker 1: It's a bear. They do take, again, it's a very
- 18:31Speaker 1: loosely based on the actual story because there's a lot
- 18:35Speaker 1: of stuff that comes into play by the end that
- 18:37Speaker 1: I won't ruin for you because somebody out there is
- 18:39Speaker 1: still waiting to see Cocaine Bear. But yeah, within the
- 18:43Speaker 1: concept of this crazy drug deal, throwing bags of cocaine
- 18:49Speaker 1: out of a plane was how this drug deal was going.
- 18:52Speaker 1: I don't know how this works. I obviously don't smuggle
- 18:54Speaker 1: enough coke to get this quite right. But that's what
- 18:57Speaker 1: they were doing back in the day when this supposed
- 18:59Speaker 1: true story happened. And then at some point, Bear wanders along,
- 19:04Speaker 1: finds some cocaine, decides to eat it, and has ingested
- 19:08Speaker 1: a large amount of cocaine. And then this story then
- 19:11Speaker 1: goes on a killing spree. So, again, I worked it
- 19:14Speaker 1: into this episode because it's essentially a slasher movie. Like,
- 19:18Speaker 1: it is a Jason, Michael Myers, like, it is just...
- 19:23Speaker 1: So much horror, but in the form of instead switch
- 19:28Speaker 1: it out with a crazy ass bear. So there are
- 19:31Speaker 1: several scenes that play out like you're in the woods
- 19:33Speaker 1: with Jason and you're about to get killed. And then
- 19:37Speaker 1: the other thing I don't think I knew going in,
- 19:39Speaker 1: I knew it was going to be a comedy more
- 19:41Speaker 1: or less, but it is gory as hell.
- 19:45Speaker 7: Oh, okay.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Ms. Banks does not skimp on the gory grossness. I'm
- 19:50Speaker 1: not saying all of it looks great. They do work
- 19:52Speaker 1: in a little... I mean, the bear is mostly CG
- 19:55Speaker 1: the whole time.
- 19:56Speaker 2: Oh, sure.
- 19:56Speaker 1: So that is, you know, again, you have to sort
- 19:59Speaker 1: of let that go. You're going to see Cocaine Bear.
- 20:02Speaker 1: But even the gore, some of it I think is
- 20:04Speaker 1: a little... whatever but it's still so over the top
- 20:08Speaker 1: level of ridiculous grossness things that happen that you're just
- 20:13Speaker 1: i was laughing maybe a little too much for the
- 20:15Speaker 1: people around me i don't know but yeah i found
- 20:19Speaker 1: the level of horror that was being done to the
- 20:22Speaker 1: humans and this was very funny so it's it's a
- 20:26Speaker 1: horror movie in its own special way so but yeah
- 20:30Speaker 1: that was my special tie-in was the actual Original legendary
- 20:34Speaker 1: cocaine bear was there, in theory. Not if you believe
- 20:38Speaker 1: what people say on the internet.
- 20:40Speaker 2: I read a quote from the medical examiner who, I guess,
- 20:46Speaker 2: did the autopsy of the original cocaine bear. And he
- 20:49Speaker 2: was like, yeah, for the amount of cocaine that this
- 20:51Speaker 2: bear ate, he's like, nothing. Could have survived that. And
- 20:55Speaker 2: he was like, it probably died within about three.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Minutes of eating it. I mean, based on the movie,
- 21:02Speaker 1: I'm just like, yeah, none of this. That's why I
- 21:04Speaker 1: said loosely based is even putting it mildly. Because I'm like,
- 21:08Speaker 1: there's no way you couldn't just immediately your heart explode.
- 21:11Speaker 1: You know, it's just.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Well, I want to think that in the movie, and
- 21:15Speaker 2: it's up to you if you want to tell me
- 21:18Speaker 2: if I'm right or wrong about this. But I'd like
- 21:19Speaker 2: to think that in the movie, the bear finds the cocaine,
- 21:22Speaker 2: eats a little bit, and then for the rest of
- 21:24Speaker 2: the movie, he's just like dipping a claw into it.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Snacking on it.
- 21:26Speaker 2: He's just doing a bump the whole time.
- 21:28Speaker 1: That's the thing. The bear in the movie... continues to
- 21:32Speaker 1: find more cocaine oh that's great so not only is
- 21:35Speaker 1: it ingested at the beginning and goes off killing people
- 21:38Speaker 1: but likes cocaine and keeps finding it and is like
- 21:42Speaker 1: oh yes that's my thing and like goes to get
- 21:44Speaker 1: more bags of cocaine which are scattered all about the
- 21:47Speaker 1: forest so lots of cocaine lots of killing people so
- 21:52Speaker 1: yeah if all that sounds like fun you'll.
- 21:54Speaker 7: Be fine it's a marathon not a sprint.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Yeah yeah And I did, like, knowing, again, passing by
- 22:02Speaker 1: the actual bear, I kind of knew how the real
- 22:05Speaker 1: world version turned out. And logically how any version of
- 22:09Speaker 1: this would turn out. But then we're midway into this,
- 22:11Speaker 1: and I'm like, they're starting to take a turn with, like,
- 22:14Speaker 1: the bear part of the story. And I'm like, I
- 22:16Speaker 1: don't know that we can end it like that. Like, so,
- 22:19Speaker 1: it comes out all right. So, yeah, it's not as
- 22:22Speaker 1: grim as what I passed by in the lobby, which
- 22:25Speaker 1: was pretty morbid, really, if I think about it now.
- 22:28Speaker 2: Yeah, it's pretty sad.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Did it stop me from buying accessories? Do I now
- 22:35Speaker 1: have a cocaine bear mug and a hat? And there's
- 22:39Speaker 1: a refrigerator magnet if you go in the other room
- 22:42Speaker 1: that looks like Smokey the Bear and says, don't do drugs.
- 22:45Speaker 1: And I was like, well, obviously I need all these things.
- 22:48Speaker 1: I'm an idiot. What do I do? I always buy
- 22:50Speaker 1: more crap. So, yeah, I stocked up on my cocaine
- 22:54Speaker 1: bear accessories.
- 22:55Speaker 7: That sounds like a fun little trip.
- 23:00Speaker 1: It got me through the weekend.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 23:02Speaker 1: There you go. So, that was my tie-in, hanging out
- 23:07Speaker 1: with Cocaine Bear.
- 23:10Speaker 2: You know, so many people I've heard use the phrase
- 23:13Speaker 2: that it got me through the weekend, referring to cocaine.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. I do things a little different than most people.
- 23:20Speaker 1: I know you're not surprised by that, but.
- 23:24Speaker 3: All right.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Are we ready to get into the movie?
- 23:28Speaker 2: I think so.
- 23:28Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 23:30Speaker 3: It's for you.
- 23:49Speaker 8: Strange that you and I have never spoken on the phone.
- 23:56Speaker 2: This is long overdue.
- 24:09Speaker 9: What is this place?
- 24:10Speaker 7: A shrine.
- 24:11Speaker 3: Did you miss me?
- 24:17Speaker 1: He's gonna keep coming after us.
- 24:20Speaker 9: Maybe he gets to win this time.
- 24:25Speaker 1: We've gotta lure him in.
- 24:28Speaker 2: And then we execute him.
- 24:46Speaker 3: Scream i hear you're a horror fan.
- 24:52Speaker 7: It's been said.
- 24:57Speaker 10: Woke up underwater searching at the call I couldn't get
- 25:01Speaker 10: any farther from the daylight Was I still dreaming still
- 25:06Speaker 10: to a machine Or choking and screaming with my.
- 25:10Speaker 9: Hands tied Calling and calling but nobody comes Falling and
- 25:16Speaker 9: falling no air in my lungs Getting so comfortably numb
- 25:21Speaker 9: Don't know how I opened up my eyes But.
- 25:22Speaker 7: I just.
- 25:57Speaker 1: We have once again gone out on the town. We
- 26:00Speaker 1: left the house amongst the people. I can go into
- 26:04Speaker 1: my neighbor. That was interesting too. So this horror club
- 26:10Speaker 1: out on the town feature is Scream 6. It did
- 26:13Speaker 1: actually get a number this time.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Where's the little goat?
- 26:17Speaker 1: I didn't know if we wanted that every time i
- 26:19Speaker 1: thought it might make people want to kill us so
- 26:22Speaker 1: if you want to request it for a special episode
- 26:25Speaker 1: like an annual event you know we can bring out
- 26:27Speaker 1: the goat but i thought we might get ourselves in
- 26:30Speaker 1: trouble if it were in every episode thing we might
- 26:34Speaker 1: kill each other at that point so the year is
- 26:37Speaker 1: 2023 the director that's this year it is i know
- 26:42Speaker 1: Let me see if I can get these. I pulled
- 26:44Speaker 1: this from last year because it just seemed like we
- 26:46Speaker 1: were doing this.
- 26:47Speaker 3: Let's see.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Matt Bettinelli? Ole pin. This dude made it hard for me.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Just stick with Gillette. I can do Gillette. And Tyler Gillette. So,
- 26:59Speaker 1: AKA Radio Silence has brought us this movie and the
- 27:02Speaker 1: plot according to IMDb, which does not put a whole
- 27:06Speaker 1: lot of work in this one. Any sequel that starts
- 27:08Speaker 1: with In the next installment, which is how this begins,
- 27:13Speaker 1: in the next installment, the survivors of the Ghostface killings
- 27:16Speaker 1: leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter in New
- 27:20Speaker 1: York City. And that's all they put. So not wrong,
- 27:24Speaker 1: but they didn't really throw a lot of extra in there.
- 27:26Speaker 1: It's pretty basic, slow as you can get into this movie.
- 27:31Speaker 1: So spoiler alert, we're going to run the hell out
- 27:33Speaker 1: of this. Every Scream movie that's ever come before it.
- 27:36Speaker 1: And we're on the end and the reveal and the
- 27:39Speaker 1: killer and whatever. So just know that now you've been warned.
- 27:45Speaker 1: So where do we want to begin? With where we
- 27:50Speaker 1: do it every Scream movie, you get a cold open
- 27:53Speaker 1: killing every time.
- 27:55Speaker 7: Samara Weaving. I.
- 27:59Speaker 1: I'm always kind of thrilled when she shows up, but especially, like,
- 28:02Speaker 1: she's got history with these guys. So, like, I only
- 28:05Speaker 1: later was like, oh, that's why they brought her in
- 28:07Speaker 1: as the Drew, as the special guest. At this point,
- 28:11Speaker 1: you get, it's like kind of a big deal. It
- 28:13Speaker 1: was sort of a twist thing for the Drew the
- 28:15Speaker 1: first time around. But now, because we all know it,
- 28:18Speaker 1: it's almost like stunt casting of like, okay, who can
- 28:20Speaker 1: we bring in to be the first kill?
- 28:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:24Speaker 1: So.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Eventually it's going to be like when Batman and Robin
- 28:28Speaker 2: are climbing up the wall and Dick Clark leans out
- 28:31Speaker 2: the window.
- 28:32Speaker 1: So the opening scene is going to be Sammy Davis Jr.
- 28:34Speaker 1: at some point. Oh, I hope so. Which now, I mean,
- 28:37Speaker 1: as we've seen, Skeet shows up and he's been dead
- 28:40Speaker 1: for years. Not the real Skeet. Just within the context
- 28:43Speaker 1: of the movie, we still have a young version of Skeet.
- 28:45Speaker 1: I guess we could have a Batman era, you know,
- 28:48Speaker 1: Sammy Davis Jr. getting taken out in a bar somewhere.
- 28:51Speaker 2: What's your favorite scary movie, babe?
- 28:55Speaker 1: I just see him hanging out in that bar picking
- 28:57Speaker 1: up girls.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Well, obviously.
- 28:59Speaker 1: I don't need no Tinder. Shit. Look at me. I'm
- 29:02Speaker 1: Sammy Davis Jr. Girls will be all over. So that aside.
- 29:09Speaker 2: I was intrigued that they revealed the killer or what
- 29:13Speaker 2: we thought was going to be the killer so damn early.
- 29:15Speaker 1: That was my thing. I was like, okay, we know
- 29:17Speaker 1: we're getting the cold open kill, but then the fact
- 29:21Speaker 1: that immediately takes his mask off. I was like, okay,
- 29:24Speaker 1: rules are changing. New city, new rules. So yeah, we've
- 29:29Speaker 1: never had that before. So that's an interesting little twist
- 29:33Speaker 1: that we've never had it be a different version. Like
- 29:37Speaker 1: it's always our main killer more or less from the beginning.
- 29:40Speaker 1: beginning through we've never had a fake out kill which
- 29:44Speaker 1: with that I was almost like in a way as
- 29:47Speaker 1: soon as they got rid of those two I was
- 29:49Speaker 1: sort of like well that's sort of a shame because
- 29:52Speaker 1: we had almost an entire movie that could have happened
- 29:54Speaker 1: there that we now bypassed.
- 29:58Speaker 2: Well, I like the idea, too. When I started to realize, okay,
- 30:02Speaker 2: these guys aren't going to... Well, like when the other
- 30:06Speaker 2: ghost face is calling.
- 30:07Speaker 1: When the phone call comes, yeah. I like the.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Idea of there being a world where somebody's like, well,
- 30:13Speaker 2: I'm going to be the next ghost face, and somebody
- 30:15Speaker 2: else is like, no, I'm going to be the next
- 30:17Speaker 2: ghost face.
- 30:18Speaker 1: I'll show you. So, yeah, that was a weird different
- 30:22Speaker 1: thing that I was not used to, so... But I
- 30:25Speaker 1: think I realized as we got into that, I was like, well,
- 30:28Speaker 1: there's no way you could have done that story and
- 30:30Speaker 1: not have it be completely repetitive of what we just
- 30:33Speaker 1: had the last movie. So at least for the reasons
- 30:36Speaker 1: and the whole main buildup, like you're basically doing the
- 30:39Speaker 1: exact same thing that they were doing the last movie.
- 30:41Speaker 1: So just for the sake of mixing things up, I
- 30:44Speaker 1: guess it's okay that we killed off those two idiots.
- 30:48Speaker 1: But yeah, that was an interesting moment of immediately taking
- 30:51Speaker 1: the mask off.
- 30:52Speaker 2: I was glad that they killed him because.
- 30:56Speaker 2: The the motives behind these killings are getting weirder and
- 31:03Speaker 2: like more not confusing but more like well why would
- 31:07Speaker 2: just stretched and then yeah like you guys are and
- 31:10Speaker 2: and when he was like hard when he was like
- 31:12Speaker 2: we gotta finish richie's movie and they were like fuck
- 31:14Speaker 2: richie's movie i was like okay.
- 31:19Speaker 1: So at least by the end, it almost makes sense
- 31:21Speaker 1: not to jump there yet. But I'm like, it's very basic.
- 31:24Speaker 1: And okay, yeah, I guess that would happen. Versus we've
- 31:27Speaker 1: got to finish his movie for people. Like, it was
- 31:29Speaker 1: crazy enough when those two were doing it last movie.
- 31:32Speaker 1: But to then now have the baton passed to other
- 31:35Speaker 1: idiots that just were helping him make a movie. I'm like, okay, that...
- 31:39Speaker 1: You guys are really into this movie. So, yeah, it seemed... Again,
- 31:45Speaker 1: probably a good thing that we decided to off those
- 31:48Speaker 1: two idiots.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Right away, this is probably the goriest entry, I think,
- 31:57Speaker 2: so far.
- 31:58Speaker 1: I mean, I think that's just these directors. That last
- 32:01Speaker 1: one was pretty gory. That was the thing I was
- 32:04Speaker 1: going to go into. I did also rewatch the last movie.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Because I haven't seen it since we talked about it
- 32:10Speaker 1: last year. So I was like, I was kind of
- 32:12Speaker 1: in the mood to watch it timing-wise anyway before this one.
- 32:15Speaker 1: And I was like, well, I would like to kind
- 32:17Speaker 1: of bookend it with this and be able to kind
- 32:19Speaker 1: of compare the two. So I did re-watch that one.
- 32:22Speaker 1: And that one's pretty damn gory, too. So I think
- 32:25Speaker 1: they just wanted to.
- 32:26Speaker 2: This one really lingered over.
- 32:27Speaker 1: But this one, yeah, they did not have any problem
- 32:30Speaker 1: going extra gross with every kill. So, yeah, even that
- 32:34Speaker 1: first one with her is pretty gross, but... It continues
- 32:37Speaker 1: to one-up it each time. We also get to check
- 32:46Speaker 1: in on the core group, if you will.
- 32:48Speaker 2: The core four.
- 32:49Speaker 1: Dorks.
- 32:51Speaker 2: Yeah, and there's something about that kid that you see
- 32:57Speaker 2: him and you're like, oh, here's the handsome, cool guy.
- 32:59Speaker 2: And then he opens his mouth and it's like.
- 33:04Speaker 1: and he seems to be like that for real because
- 33:06Speaker 1: then like when I was doing stuff for this I
- 33:08Speaker 1: found that they were all doing the like there's an
- 33:11Speaker 1: online version of which screen character are you and you
- 33:14Speaker 1: answer dumb questions and then it picks oh you're Sydney
- 33:17Speaker 1: or you're whatever and they were doing they were all
- 33:20Speaker 1: doing that and like at the end it was him
- 33:21Speaker 1: and the other sister were sitting there together and he
- 33:24Speaker 1: starts like he came out as Sydney he was like
- 33:27Speaker 1: I'm the final girl he starts going into this big
- 33:29Speaker 1: rant and she's just got this look of Oh my God.
- 33:33Speaker 1: And she says by the end, can you cut me
- 33:35Speaker 1: out of this? She was like, I don't know what
- 33:38Speaker 1: that was. And I'm embarrassed for you. Like, so he
- 33:41Speaker 1: seems like a big dork in the real world. That
- 33:44Speaker 1: makes it a little better.
- 33:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:45Speaker 1: I like that. So, but yeah, we got a lot
- 33:47Speaker 1: more with him. I realized that watching the other one too, like,
- 33:51Speaker 1: He was pretty minimal. Like, we got more of the sister,
- 33:54Speaker 1: but we didn't get tons with him. It was just
- 33:56Speaker 1: him and his girlfriend fighting the whole time, and then
- 33:58Speaker 1: he almost dies. So, like, that was pretty quick for
- 34:01Speaker 1: him last time. So we get a little more quality
- 34:03Speaker 1: time with the group this time. And that's what I
- 34:06Speaker 1: think makes this different from most dumb slashers, is with
- 34:11Speaker 1: each of these entries, like, you get an interesting group
- 34:14Speaker 1: of people... And it is interesting that one of the
- 34:17Speaker 1: killers is usually in there, if not more.
- 34:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:19Speaker 1: So we do, it's something you don't always get from
- 34:24Speaker 1: even a whodunit type of thing, that like you don't
- 34:26Speaker 1: have the person embedded in your core group. Like you
- 34:30Speaker 1: do have them within the context of the movie, but
- 34:33Speaker 1: it's just like, oh, it was the spooky amusement park
- 34:36Speaker 1: guy all along. Like, you know, the unmasking is usually
- 34:40Speaker 1: just somebody you kind of suspected was weird, but not
- 34:43Speaker 1: your core group people, so. That's always an interesting game
- 34:47Speaker 1: and has continued on through most of these Scream movies.
- 34:52Speaker 1: That's an interesting dynamic and probably way harder to write,
- 34:56Speaker 1: I would think. It's a very delicate balance to work
- 35:02Speaker 1: them in, but then you can't like them too much
- 35:05Speaker 1: and then you can't betray the characters that you... I
- 35:09Speaker 1: don't know.
- 35:09Speaker 2: I was rooting for Chad and Mindy the whole way through.
- 35:14Speaker 2: And even when they, spoiler, both got stabbed, I.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Was like, no. See, that's the thing. We've gotten so attached,
- 35:22Speaker 1: as we learned with Dewey last time. It's like, but no.
- 35:27Speaker 2: Oh, I'm still reading about Dewey.
- 35:30Speaker 1: And having rewatched the other one now, I'm so annoyed
- 35:34Speaker 1: at Gale. Because it is her fault. He was going
- 35:38Speaker 1: back to jump back to the last movie. He stops,
- 35:41Speaker 1: sends them down on the elevator, going back for the
- 35:43Speaker 1: headshot because that's what you need to do. You have
- 35:45Speaker 1: to take them out, make sure they're dead or they'll
- 35:48Speaker 1: pop back up. Happens in every screen movie. So he's
- 35:51Speaker 1: standing there with the gun in his hand, getting ready
- 35:53Speaker 1: to do it. His phone rings. It's Gail. That's what
- 35:56Speaker 1: made him stop just long enough for him to get killed.
- 35:59Speaker 1: So as if I didn't blame Gail anyway, I really
- 36:03Speaker 1: am annoyed at Gail. So just forever. I'm annoyed at Gail.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Thank God we killed her. Oh, damn it. Can't kill
- 36:11Speaker 1: that woman.
- 36:12Speaker 2: Well, you know, on the way to the theater, I
- 36:15Speaker 2: was like, okay, who from the series, the legacy character,
- 36:19Speaker 2: it's like, who's going to get it this time? And
- 36:21Speaker 2: I'm like, well, your only options anymore are Gale and Sidney.
- 36:24Speaker 2: And I'm like, well, they're not going to.
- 36:27Speaker 1: Sidney's not even in it.
- 36:29Speaker 2: Which good for her, but.
- 36:30Speaker 1: Could have killed off Sydney even last night.
- 36:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:34Speaker 1: I've thought that all the way along. And I think
- 36:36Speaker 1: I said that last episode, I was like, I wanted
- 36:38Speaker 1: the carryover character to always be Dewey and have him
- 36:42Speaker 1: like continually following this. But I mean, I think the
- 36:45Speaker 1: fourth one they should have killed off because they had
- 36:47Speaker 1: the great scene in the barn waiting for her to die.
- 36:49Speaker 1: Like that should have been where she died. Then you
- 36:52Speaker 1: could have the big, you know, send up finale for
- 36:55Speaker 1: Sydney last movie and And then have the only carryover
- 36:58Speaker 1: for the rest of history to be Dewey limping in
- 37:01Speaker 1: trying to solve these damn mysteries. I'm like, that just
- 37:04Speaker 1: seems fun to me. Yeah. But that's not what we get.
- 37:08Speaker 2: I say that, and they killed off Nancy in Nightmare. Yeah.
- 37:15Speaker 2: But yeah, but walking in, I was like, yeah, they're
- 37:18Speaker 2: going to kill Gale this time. And I was not
- 37:20Speaker 2: that upset about it.
- 37:22Speaker 1: Oh, when we got to that scene, I was like, okay,
- 37:24Speaker 1: here we go. And at least it is a good scene.
- 37:27Speaker 1: And I'm like, there are, I mean, you don't out
- 37:29Speaker 1: and out hate her. She redeems herself within every movie
- 37:32Speaker 1: and then turn around and becomes an asshole. She does
- 37:34Speaker 1: the same thing again. Like every movie. And even this one,
- 37:36Speaker 1: like last time, again, just watching the other movie, it
- 37:39Speaker 1: was like, they're sitting there at the end of the
- 37:40Speaker 1: movie and her and Sydney are best friends. And the
- 37:42Speaker 1: other girl comes over and thanks her for helping. And
- 37:45Speaker 1: then like, we immediately jumped to, and she wrote a
- 37:47Speaker 1: book and she screwed everybody over. And I was like,
- 37:48Speaker 1: of course she did. Cause she's Gail. That's what she does.
- 37:52Speaker 1: She sucks.
- 37:53Speaker 2: And man, they took their time with her scene. And
- 37:55Speaker 2: I thought, yeah, okay.
- 37:57Speaker 1: That's why I was like, this is the big, here's
- 37:59Speaker 1: her send off. We're finally getting rid of Gale.
- 38:01Speaker 2: And then the paramedics show up. We go to Pulse.
- 38:04Speaker 2: And it's like, son of a bitch.
- 38:07Speaker 7: Now that I think, I'm trying to think of like
- 38:09Speaker 7: who actually died in this movie.
- 38:12Speaker 1: I mean, other than the new characters, we've had tons
- 38:15Speaker 1: of new characters.
- 38:16Speaker 7: Like the roommate did, but then didn't, but then did again.
- 38:20Speaker 1: Did. That happens.
- 38:21Speaker 7: Mindy's girlfriend.
- 38:22Speaker 1: The girlfriend who was super cute and had almost no
- 38:25Speaker 1: screen time. Yeah. I was like, oh, she was very adorable.
- 38:28Speaker 7: But other than that, it was just the killers, right?
- 38:31Speaker 1: Well, all the random people, right? Yeah, and just like
- 38:36Speaker 1: a couple of guys who were at the bodega.
- 38:38Speaker 2: The bodega guy, he got it.
- 38:40Speaker 1: Yeah, we start with those two at the beginning. Well,
- 38:42Speaker 1: we start with her at the beginning, the reading. And
- 38:45Speaker 1: then we go to both of the killers get killed.
- 38:50Speaker 1: So we've got him in the refrigerator and our ghost
- 38:52Speaker 1: face guy. Then I guess everybody that he offs in
- 38:56Speaker 1: the bodega. Was there another? Didn't somebody get shot before
- 38:59Speaker 1: the guy with the shotgun?
- 38:59Speaker 2: I believe so.
- 39:00Speaker 1: I think a couple of people got killed there. Let's see.
- 39:04Speaker 1: The girlfriend got it when she fell off the building.
- 39:08Speaker 2: Which when she fell off the ladder, I thought, well,
- 39:11Speaker 2: she might make it.
- 39:12Speaker 11: And then she smacks her head into the dumpster.
- 39:14Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, you don't come back from that.
- 39:16Speaker 1: That brained her real good.
- 39:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 39:18Speaker 1: Yeah. That's bad. But yeah, they had a decent body
- 39:23Speaker 1: count by the end of it. Yeah.
- 39:25Speaker 7: I mean, for being like super duper gory, not that
- 39:28Speaker 7: many people.
- 39:30Speaker 1: Died.
- 39:30Speaker 7: At least not any of our like main people.
- 39:32Speaker 1: But here's the thing. Like any... This is my favorite
- 39:37Speaker 1: running thing. Like Scream is its own universe. So within
- 39:41Speaker 1: the Scream universe, it's not so much about if you die.
- 39:44Speaker 1: It's how many... what wounds that should have killed you
- 39:48Speaker 1: you rack up before the end of the movie because
- 39:51Speaker 1: that's a regular thing like from the first movie I'm
- 39:53Speaker 1: like there's people walking around delivering dialogue that should have
- 39:56Speaker 1: bled out five minutes ago so like everybody it's just
- 40:01Speaker 1: a running thing now I'm.
- 40:02Speaker 2: Pretty sure Jenna Ortega got stabbed in the kidney at
- 40:05Speaker 2: one point in this movie again and I feel like
- 40:08Speaker 2: at the very least that would slow your day down
- 40:11Speaker 2: yeah she's just like nope come on everything's.
- 40:13Speaker 7: Cool Well, yeah, the girlfriend before the ladder part got, like,
- 40:17Speaker 7: the knife stuck in and then, like, twisted all the
- 40:20Speaker 7: way around.
- 40:20Speaker 1: She should have bled out quick.
- 40:22Speaker 7: And she was still, like, making her way across the ladder.
- 40:25Speaker 1: I was just like, no. I thought at least she
- 40:27Speaker 1: would get to the window and then just pass out.
- 40:29Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 40:30Speaker 1: And Ghostface would come over and stab her in the
- 40:31Speaker 1: head or something, but. Yeah, still trying to cross. I
- 40:34Speaker 1: was like, well, points to her. She's tough, but an
- 40:37Speaker 1: unrealistic version of tough.
- 40:38Speaker 7: And even Chad got stabbed by all three of them
- 40:41Speaker 7: multiple times.
- 40:43Speaker 1: So I'm like, now he's kind of the new Dewey,
- 40:45Speaker 1: I guess, because he should have been dead. And we're like, no, wait,
- 40:48Speaker 1: we've got another one.
- 40:49Speaker 2: Yeah, Chad totally got Julius Caesar. Oh, yeah. And that's
- 40:55Speaker 2: when I thought, okay, well, Chad is dead this time.
- 40:58Speaker 2: And then five minutes later, he's like.
- 40:59Speaker 1: Hey, guys. I know. But even our main girl, like,
- 41:02Speaker 1: at the end, like, she got it. Like, she got
- 41:05Speaker 1: at least a good shot in the beginning there in
- 41:08Speaker 1: the gut. And then another couple, she got slashed on
- 41:11Speaker 1: the arm. Like, she had all... And by the end...
- 41:13Speaker 1: there's an ace bandage around her and that's it. She's
- 41:15Speaker 1: walking around delivering dialogue to different people. I was just like,
- 41:18Speaker 1: she is really mobile for somebody who just went through
- 41:21Speaker 1: a whole lot of trauma, like both mentally and physically.
- 41:26Speaker 1: So yeah, I do like that. Like, medical rules don't
- 41:29Speaker 1: really apply in the scream universe like everything's just sort
- 41:32Speaker 1: of a minor flesh wound no matter how much it
- 41:35Speaker 1: takes you out unless your brains are splattered on the
- 41:38Speaker 1: ground and even then you might pop up one more.
- 41:41Speaker 2: Time or you got a knife in your eye yeah
- 41:43Speaker 2: yeah they do.
- 41:44Speaker 1: Like head shots these two guys because last time we
- 41:47Speaker 1: got the weird through the neck shot with wes and
- 41:50Speaker 1: then like this time we got one through the nose
- 41:52Speaker 1: got we skipped that guy too her wussy ass, uh, psychiatrist.
- 41:58Speaker 1: I was like, what is that about? I was like, okay,
- 42:01Speaker 1: so she tells you the thing you've been asking her
- 42:03Speaker 1: for six months to tell you and you wuss out
- 42:06Speaker 1: and you're like, okay, we're done here now. I can't
- 42:08Speaker 1: be with you. You're scary.
- 42:09Speaker 7: Also like, yes, there is a harm to yourself or
- 42:12Speaker 7: others clause in therapy, but that would be if she
- 42:15Speaker 7: was like, I murdered this guy and I loved it
- 42:18Speaker 7: so much. And now I have my eyes set on
- 42:20Speaker 7: this specific person. But she just said like, and part
- 42:23Speaker 7: of me liked it. And now I'm worried about that.
- 42:25Speaker 7: And he was like, no, I can't be your therapist.
- 42:27Speaker 1: I'm like, that's not how it works.
- 42:28Speaker 2: I don't know not being a therapist and having never
- 42:31Speaker 2: told a therapist this sort of thing. But I don't think, yeah,
- 42:35Speaker 2: I killed a guy in self-defense. And you know what?
- 42:37Speaker 2: I kind of liked it. I don't think that's enough
- 42:39Speaker 2: to be required.
- 42:40Speaker 7: To go to the cops.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Yeah, that was annoying, which I think it was meant
- 42:44Speaker 1: to be. But I was just like, what? Terrible. Wussy
- 42:47Speaker 1: ass therapist.
- 42:48Speaker 7: But I'm also like what therapist has like evening sessions
- 42:51Speaker 7: in his own house?
- 42:52Speaker 1: On Halloween.
- 42:54Speaker 7: Yeah, so whatever. But that did annoy me. I was like,
- 42:57Speaker 7: you suck.
- 42:58Speaker 1: And for some, but again, this is just a real
- 43:00Speaker 1: world thing, which I love to bring up. If you're
- 43:03Speaker 1: bothering to sit down and watch a movie and you
- 43:06Speaker 1: are interrupted by something, don't you pause it? Because he
- 43:10Speaker 1: was sitting there watching Invaders from Mars. But he got
- 43:13Speaker 1: up and it's still running in the background. I'm like, dude,
- 43:15Speaker 1: just hit pause.
- 43:15Speaker 2: I thought it was Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
- 43:17Speaker 1: No, that's the one. Yeah. But I'm like, just hit pause.
- 43:22Speaker 1: You're rich. You've got some sort of magical TiVo or
- 43:24Speaker 1: whatever the hell it is now. I doubt you were
- 43:27Speaker 1: watching antenna television. I'm pretty sure you can pause it.
- 43:31Speaker 1: That was just a weird real world moment. I'm like,
- 43:33Speaker 1: you were watching that. Why would you just leave it running?
- 43:36Speaker 7: And why would you stick your face right up next
- 43:38Speaker 7: to the glass door?
- 43:39Speaker 1: Because it looks super creepy.
- 43:40Speaker 3: Dumb, dumb.
- 43:42Speaker 1: I do like that shot. Again, they do have a
- 43:45Speaker 1: good visual style. That shot of all of the making
- 43:49Speaker 1: use of the ghost face imagery is, yeah, that's a
- 43:52Speaker 1: key to doing these movies. They make use of it.
- 43:55Speaker 1: It looks really cool.
- 43:57Speaker 2: I think I asked this last movie, and I know
- 44:00Speaker 2: that I've asked other people ever since part three probably,
- 44:04Speaker 2: but when are they going to pull that mask off
- 44:08Speaker 2: store shelves?
- 44:10Speaker 1: And i think i said last year no money wins
- 44:13Speaker 1: they're probably making so much off because you saw everybody
- 44:16Speaker 1: in freaking new york city was wearing it so i'm
- 44:18Speaker 1: like i just feel.
- 44:20Speaker 2: Like giving again giving real world scenarios how everybody cancels
- 44:25Speaker 2: everything finally wouldn't this be something that people would rally
- 44:29Speaker 2: behind it being canceled that's true like 57 people have
- 44:33Speaker 2: been killed as a result of someone putting on this
- 44:36Speaker 2: mask and chopping them up And it's still our best
- 44:39Speaker 2: Halloween seller.
- 44:40Speaker 1: I can say in Woodsboro they might. But, I mean,
- 44:44Speaker 1: in New York and L.A., the only other places that
- 44:47Speaker 1: it really happened, eh, people die all the time there.
- 44:50Speaker 1: What do they care?
- 44:51Speaker 2: I feel like the Woodsboro Town Council or whatever they
- 44:54Speaker 2: have would have a very strict no.
- 44:56Speaker 1: No ghost face policy.
- 44:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 44:58Speaker 7: I wonder if it's, like, more complicated because there's also
- 45:01Speaker 7: the stab movies. So then people could argue like, no,
- 45:05Speaker 7: it's from the movie. It's not about the actual crime.
- 45:08Speaker 7: I love Stab. Even though it's the same thing.
- 45:12Speaker 1: And those people are horribly toxic, as we know. Yes.
- 45:15Speaker 1: If you love Stab, you're a horrible person.
- 45:18Speaker 2: Clearly.
- 45:21Speaker 1: Everybody who loves Stab seems to have lost their damn mind.
- 45:24Speaker 7: Ooh, but speaking of meta movie references... The costume party?
- 45:31Speaker 1: That, I, again, if anyone, I was like, oh, I
- 45:34Speaker 1: can't wait till we can talk about it.
- 45:36Speaker 3: I know.
- 45:36Speaker 1: Because, yeah, when Dorky Boy shows up in his cardboard costume.
- 45:41Speaker 7: The, uh, what, Ethan?
- 45:43Speaker 1: Is that the new guy's name? Yeah, whatever, Curly Hair Doofus.
- 45:45Speaker 7: At the frat party, he's wearing the cardboard knight costume
- 45:48Speaker 7: from Murder Party.
- 45:49Speaker 3: Okay.
- 45:50Speaker 1: I was like, if anyone's gonna care, it's us.
- 45:53Speaker 7: And I was like, ah, Murder Party!
- 45:55Speaker 2: Because I didn't make the Murder Party connection, but I
- 45:58Speaker 2: was like, Sweet fucking costume.
- 46:01Speaker 1: But what a deep cut. I know.
- 46:03Speaker 7: I was like, other people have watched it?
- 46:05Speaker 1: The other ones were jokey because I read after the
- 46:08Speaker 1: fact that when you get on the train, one of
- 46:10Speaker 1: the people is dressed as Mojo Jojo, which I was like, okay,
- 46:14Speaker 1: that's a deep cut because I doubt most people know
- 46:17Speaker 1: who the hell that is now that aren't old. But
- 46:20Speaker 1: the joke is the voice is the same guy that
- 46:23Speaker 1: does our ghost face voice. He did Mojo Jojo's voice.
- 46:26Speaker 1: So I was like, okay, that's fun. That's a good joke.
- 46:29Speaker 1: And then supposedly either on the train or at the party,
- 46:32Speaker 1: somebody's dressed as Wednesday Addams.
- 46:33Speaker 3: Yes.
- 46:35Speaker 1: At the party.
- 46:36Speaker 2: When they're going up the staircase.
- 46:37Speaker 1: I was like, there has to be one of those.
- 46:39Speaker 1: That's just not even a subtle joke at this point.
- 46:42Speaker 2: I was sitting there watching it and I was like, well,
- 46:44Speaker 2: there's always a Wednesday Addams at this sort of thing.
- 46:46Speaker 2: But you've also got Wednesday Addams in the movie.
- 46:48Speaker 1: I was like, normally, yes, you would see that probably anyway.
- 46:52Speaker 1: But you have to put it in this movie. I mean,
- 46:54Speaker 1: that's the reason she is who she is at this point.
- 46:58Speaker 1: It is amazing. That's kind of what I want to
- 47:00Speaker 1: go into just in general is just... Okay. Sorry.
- 47:05Speaker 7: Sorry.
- 47:05Speaker 1: I didn't mean to interrupt.
- 47:06Speaker 2: But before we get to the party, I didn't... And
- 47:10Speaker 2: before we realize it's Halloween, like after the first girl
- 47:14Speaker 2: gets stabbed, you see the scarecrow walking down the street.
- 47:18Speaker 2: And I'm like, what the fuck's going on? And then
- 47:20Speaker 2: we get to the party.
- 47:21Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, it's okay. I'm an idiot. Well, it is.
- 47:25Speaker 1: I mean... It just complicates things so much more when
- 47:28Speaker 1: it's a horror movie at Halloween time. Yeah.
- 47:31Speaker 2: And it's not Halloween.
- 47:32Speaker 1: Ups the stakes at all. Yeah. At all moments. So,
- 47:35Speaker 1: but no, I was just like, I like the cast overall,
- 47:38Speaker 1: but like, it shows you like, even just since the
- 47:41Speaker 1: last movie, the like level of Jenna, like the social
- 47:48Speaker 1: impact that like just pop culture impact of her taking
- 47:52Speaker 1: over the world in the last year and a half.
- 47:54Speaker 1: So yeah, I, I, always been thrilled with her like
- 47:58Speaker 1: as one of the few grown-ups that was watching stuck
- 48:01Speaker 1: in the middle i'm like she was amazing then and
- 48:04Speaker 1: she was a little kid so watching her like get
- 48:06Speaker 1: bigger and she's in the second babysitter movie which also
- 48:11Speaker 1: has samara oh i don't remember her she's the cool
- 48:14Speaker 1: girl that like he like the dorky kid like starts
- 48:17Speaker 1: hanging out with and like she's trying to help save
- 48:20Speaker 1: him from samara weaving is the her and a bunch
- 48:24Speaker 1: of people are the bad guys essentially no spoilers if
- 48:27Speaker 1: you saw the first movie. So like, but yeah. I
- 48:29Speaker 1: totally forgot.
- 48:30Speaker 7: I've only seen it once.
- 48:31Speaker 1: That was one of those times that I was like,
- 48:32Speaker 1: I was already like, oh good. She's starting to get
- 48:34Speaker 1: movie roles now because she was super talented. And then,
- 48:38Speaker 1: so yeah, there's that. But then she's in X this year.
- 48:41Speaker 1: She's in the, well, Wednesday. And then like getting back
- 48:47Speaker 1: into Scream. I think there's another horror movie she was
- 48:49Speaker 1: in right before that. So like she's, Just Saturday Night
- 48:52Speaker 1: Live last night. That was the thing. That was my
- 48:54Speaker 1: whole theme for this weekend is having seen that. Well,
- 48:58Speaker 1: I watched the first one, went and saw the new one,
- 49:00Speaker 1: came home and watched her on Saturday Night Live. It
- 49:02Speaker 1: was like it was a whole big themed thing.
- 49:04Speaker 2: Well, you had a great weekend.
- 49:06Speaker 1: I did. I also, while we're on the I'm the
- 49:09Speaker 1: kind of dork who buys things, I was rounding out
- 49:12Speaker 1: the rest of my weekend. I was going to show
- 49:13Speaker 1: you this because I left the movie. And then very shortly,
- 49:17Speaker 1: I was like, damn it. I'm gonna have to get
- 49:19Speaker 1: this ghost face mug oh sure it is a three-dimensional
- 49:23Speaker 1: raised ghost face on this coffee mug i have here.
- 49:26Speaker 7: That is very fun.
- 49:27Speaker 1: But the thing i thought was funny and i was
- 49:29Speaker 1: like it's cool enough i probably would have had to
- 49:30Speaker 1: have it anyway but it doesn't say scream it doesn't
- 49:34Speaker 1: say scream six on the back says ghost face and
- 49:38Speaker 1: its own branded logo i was just like okay this
- 49:42Speaker 1: is like he's gonna get his own saturday morning cartoon
- 49:45Speaker 1: now it's like the adventures of ghost face and like
- 49:47Speaker 1: a little animated ghost face comes out because i'm like
- 49:49Speaker 1: that is very specific branding for someone who's not i
- 49:55Speaker 1: mean it's not movie based this isn't the ghost face
- 49:58Speaker 1: movie It is, but you'd think it would just be
- 50:01Speaker 1: like Scream, but they're so specific about the licensing. I'm
- 50:04Speaker 1: showing you all the writing on the bottom of this
- 50:06Speaker 1: mug that's the licensing for this Ghostface image that he
- 50:10Speaker 1: gets his own themed Ghostface mug. That's crazy.
- 50:15Speaker 2: In the end credits, there was a huge thing about
- 50:18Speaker 2: Ghostface is.
- 50:20Speaker 1: wholly owned.
- 50:20Speaker 2: By, etc., etc., etc. And I mean, it was like
- 50:24Speaker 2: four or five lines long.
- 50:25Speaker 1: I think we talked about it last year. Because I
- 50:27Speaker 1: think it's in the last movie, too. It's now such
- 50:29Speaker 1: a thing that that image.
- 50:31Speaker 2: They are really protective of that property. And I have
- 50:35Speaker 2: to wonder, though, if the original company, because clearly that
- 50:40Speaker 2: was a thing for years before Scream.
- 50:42Speaker 1: And nobody cared, yeah.
- 50:43Speaker 2: But I have to wonder if it's the original company
- 50:46Speaker 2: that has the rights to it, or if.
- 50:50Speaker 2: The original creators just kind.
- 50:51Speaker 1: Of got screwed over. Or if, I guess, who put
- 50:54Speaker 1: out the first Scream movie, did they have sense enough
- 50:57Speaker 1: to immediately like, hey, we want to buy this off you.
- 50:59Speaker 2: I think that's what happened.
- 51:00Speaker 1: We know we want to license this.
- 51:02Speaker 2: And it's not even Ghostface in the first two movies.
- 51:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 51:05Speaker 2: It's Father Death.
- 51:08Speaker 1: I want to know, does Munch get a cut for this?
- 51:09Speaker 1: I feel like our original artist, this is stolen from.
- 51:13Speaker 1: His family is not getting a damn dime off of this.
- 51:16Speaker 2: I think that's public domain by now.
- 51:18Speaker 7: Oh.
- 51:19Speaker 1: Fine. Stupid public domain laws. So anyway, that was my
- 51:26Speaker 1: extra tie-in. Somewhere in the middle of all my scream activities,
- 51:29Speaker 1: I also stopped to buy a Ghostface mug.
- 51:31Speaker 2: Well, how could you not?
- 51:34Speaker 1: Yeah, that was my thinking. He's fun. He's pretty fun.
- 51:37Speaker 2: He's starting to creep me out.
- 51:39Speaker 1: He's going to creepily look at you.
- 51:43Speaker 7: Hi, friend.
- 51:46Speaker 1: Like rom-coms. I want to see it start branching out
- 51:49Speaker 1: with different genres.
- 51:50Speaker 7: Do you like Real Housewives?
- 51:51Speaker 3: Yes!
- 51:51Speaker 1: What's your favorite rom-com?
- 51:53Speaker 2: I would like an establishing shot in a movie where
- 51:56Speaker 2: Ghostface goes into his apartment, starts vacuuming.
- 52:00Speaker 1: See, that's why I want the Ghostface animated show. Yeah.
- 52:03Speaker 1: I want him just, he is Ghostface all the time.
- 52:05Speaker 1: He never takes the mask off.
- 52:06Speaker 2: He's not out killing people in the show. He's solving
- 52:09Speaker 2: crimes with some sort of talking animal.
- 52:11Speaker 1: Obviously.
- 52:12Speaker 2: Possibly a monkey.
- 52:13Speaker 1: Well, I was thinking I want to insert him into,
- 52:16Speaker 1: because now I'm like, okay, it's a Saturday morning cartoon.
- 52:18Speaker 1: So I want to like essentially take one. Well, I
- 52:22Speaker 1: picked the one that's already rip off of another show.
- 52:24Speaker 1: I wanted to like insert him in place of Jabberjaw.
- 52:27Speaker 1: In every episode of Jabberjaw, which is already just a
- 52:30Speaker 1: ripoff of Scooby-Doo anyway. So we can combine them and
- 52:34Speaker 1: he can be solving mysteries. And he also plays drums
- 52:36Speaker 1: in a band on the side. And then he teams
- 52:39Speaker 1: up with the Harlem Globetrotters. He's in their space. Yeah,
- 52:43Speaker 1: they solve some mysteries. So if anybody else is on
- 52:46Speaker 1: board with this, let's get this going. I want to
- 52:49Speaker 1: get some sort of cut off this ghost-faced idea.
- 52:52Speaker 7: Yeah, that's true, because really Ghostface didn't do anything. It's
- 52:54Speaker 7: just people wearing Ghostface costumes. So maybe the actual Ghostface
- 52:58Speaker 7: is a really nice guy.
- 53:00Speaker 1: You can, well, and that's what I was thinking about this.
- 53:02Speaker 1: I was like, it's not like it's one character throughout.
- 53:06Speaker 3: All these movies.
- 53:06Speaker 1: It's not like, because Jason, once we get to a
- 53:09Speaker 1: certain point in the movies, he is essentially Jason all
- 53:13Speaker 1: the time. Freddy's always Freddy. Like, it's always that same guy.
- 53:16Speaker 1: This is just a costume. And every time it's a
- 53:19Speaker 1: different idiot. Several of them, as a matter of fact.
- 53:22Speaker 1: So it's like, it is interesting that like the image
- 53:25Speaker 1: that we all identify with that isn't the killer.
- 53:28Speaker 2: It's not the same, yeah.
- 53:29Speaker 1: Every time. It's just the image of that is used
- 53:33Speaker 1: every time. And it is part of what makes it
- 53:35Speaker 1: an interesting thing. a difference in this like sub-genre because.
- 53:40Speaker 2: It does become fun because you're like who is it
- 53:42Speaker 2: who is it but it's that guy oh no he died.
- 53:45Speaker 1: And that was that guy that was kind of why
- 53:47Speaker 1: i threw in the intro with joe because i'm like
- 53:50Speaker 1: it is like a bastardized american form of you know
- 53:53Speaker 1: instead of it being a slasher movie it's really just
- 53:56Speaker 1: a whodunit that we're disguising as a slasher movie and
- 53:59Speaker 1: it was from the first movie like that's always what
- 54:01Speaker 1: it's been so i i like that because it's so
- 54:05Speaker 1: different from most of the other slasher type horror movies
- 54:09Speaker 1: so for something that has a super identifiable gimmicky character
- 54:13Speaker 1: it's very different as far as its origin and or
- 54:17Speaker 1: different origin story every damn movie so yep ghost face
- 54:22Speaker 1: coming saturday mornings this fall so sidetracked on ghost face
- 54:32Speaker 1: yeah But, okay, we have that aspect when we start using...
- 54:37Speaker 1: This one also becomes... Because each one they sort of
- 54:40Speaker 1: have to... How are we going to up the ante
- 54:43Speaker 1: and tie it into everything before and loop around? Especially
- 54:46Speaker 1: these last two because we explain the rules to you
- 54:49Speaker 1: once again in extreme detail, which I love.
- 54:52Speaker 2: Which I think the rules scene is getting longer and longer.
- 54:55Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 54:55Speaker 2: It's going to get to a point where we get
- 54:57Speaker 2: five minutes rules and then like five minutes... Which I love.
- 55:05Speaker 2: I get a kick out of the rules sequence.
- 55:07Speaker 1: I love her just delivering that. And like the last
- 55:10Speaker 1: one was so good. Again, watching it again, I'm like,
- 55:12Speaker 1: I get all of a glimpse.
- 55:14Speaker 7: I know.
- 55:16Speaker 1: She's talking about movies in such a passionate way.
- 55:19Speaker 2: I've talked to people who have hated the last couple movies.
- 55:22Speaker 2: And that's one of the things that they point out is, well,
- 55:25Speaker 2: you get to, and it's like, no, you need that.
- 55:27Speaker 2: Because that's what reminds you that all this is a joke.
- 55:32Speaker 2: This whole thing is making fun of the whole genre
- 55:36Speaker 2: and on top of it now they're making fun of
- 55:38Speaker 2: the movie that they're actually in.
- 55:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't see how you can have that complaint
- 55:44Speaker 1: if you like any of the other Scream movies because
- 55:47Speaker 1: they all do that in a different way. The first
- 55:50Speaker 1: one just kind of does it with horror movies and
- 55:52Speaker 1: movies in general, but each time they kind of veer
- 55:55Speaker 1: off a little bit and find a new weird subsection
- 55:58Speaker 1: of something to go into.
- 56:00Speaker 2: And I think it's helpful.
- 56:01Speaker 1: Well, I mean, once again, it's something that sets it
- 56:04Speaker 1: apart from the other ones. It's not just another slasher movie.
- 56:07Speaker 1: It is got a built-in commentary from day one that
- 56:11Speaker 1: is also not super serious about it. Like, it is
- 56:15Speaker 1: bothering to make fun of itself as much as every
- 56:18Speaker 1: other horror movie that it's talking smack about. Or just
- 56:22Speaker 1: fandom in general. Because, again, last one was equally as
- 56:25Speaker 1: much Star Wars. Yeah. Which I didn't realize until watching, again,
- 56:29Speaker 1: watching the last movie, how much Dewey is Han Solo.
- 56:34Speaker 1: Like so much so. Like coming back to him, down
- 56:38Speaker 1: on his luck, coming in and going to do what
- 56:40Speaker 1: needs to be done. And how's it going to turn
- 56:42Speaker 1: out for you? Oh, not so good. But I was like,
- 56:45Speaker 1: he's even kind of got the look going. Got the
- 56:48Speaker 1: gun on his hip.
- 56:49Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 56:50Speaker 1: He's definitely the Han Solo of the series. And was
- 56:53Speaker 1: probably ready to get out of it. Almost as much,
- 56:56Speaker 1: not near as much as Harrison Ford. Right. It was
- 56:58Speaker 1: like for the little God kill me. Get me out
- 57:01Speaker 1: of this series.
- 57:02Speaker 2: Harrison Ford was ready to be done with it before
- 57:04Speaker 2: the first day of shooting of the first movie.
- 57:06Speaker 1: He was just like, can I die in this movie? No, Harrison. So, yeah,
- 57:13Speaker 1: but I thought that was kind of an interesting little
- 57:15Speaker 1: parallel because they definitely were making fun of that level
- 57:19Speaker 1: of fandom too, not just the overall fan base of
- 57:24Speaker 1: Crazy people. Which they veer away from a little bit
- 57:27Speaker 1: with this one. Yes. It's not near as focused like
- 57:31Speaker 1: it was the last time.
- 57:32Speaker 2: But talking about real world things is the hatred that
- 57:36Speaker 2: the Samantha character gets from social media.
- 57:39Speaker 1: Which is very real world. Each one they pick a
- 57:43Speaker 1: direction of what's the sort of social thing we're going
- 57:46Speaker 1: to comment on. Because by the fourth one we get
- 57:49Speaker 1: to just creating your own fandom type of thing. Whereas
- 57:53Speaker 1: now we're dealing with almost the other version of that,
- 57:58Speaker 1: which is once you've gotten too famous, whether you ask
- 58:00Speaker 1: for it or not, then there's like real world backlash
- 58:03Speaker 1: that hits you that can destroy your life. And like,
- 58:07Speaker 1: you see it happen to people all the time. And
- 58:09Speaker 1: we're used to it happening with celebrities, which is interesting
- 58:13Speaker 1: because one of our cast members kind of had that. So.
- 58:18Speaker 1: That was an interesting resurgence. We talked about her last time.
- 58:22Speaker 1: This time we do get Kirby back. Yes. Oh, yes.
- 58:26Speaker 1: And that was one of those. She grew up. Well,
- 58:28Speaker 1: I was playing that game. I was like, didn't she
- 58:30Speaker 1: have something? And there was a thing. And that's why,
- 58:34Speaker 1: not to reference last episode, but why doesn't Hollywood cast
- 58:38Speaker 1: Kirby in things anymore? And that's kind of what it was.
- 58:40Speaker 1: I was like, wasn't there like a thing that she
- 58:42Speaker 1: had going on? And that's why she wasn't doing stuff
- 58:45Speaker 1: for like years on end there. And. There kind of was.
- 58:49Speaker 1: I don't think it was as big a deal as
- 58:51Speaker 1: I thought. Maybe it was a little more canceled because
- 58:53Speaker 1: she did something stupid. I think she just had a
- 58:56Speaker 1: lot of problems in the real world. Not to go
- 58:59Speaker 1: on Hayden. I like her and stuff. I do wish
- 59:02Speaker 1: her the best. But she definitely had some substance problems
- 59:06Speaker 1: and she had issues with she had a child and
- 59:10Speaker 1: then because of all her problems they were trying to
- 59:13Speaker 1: take it away oh no yeah so there was a
- 59:16Speaker 1: lot of real world stuff going on and that sort
- 59:19Speaker 1: of tied in because i was thinking yeah the last
- 59:21Speaker 1: thing i thought was probably nashville which she was very
- 59:24Speaker 1: good on. I don't care about Nashville, but the show
- 59:26Speaker 1: itself was surprisingly good and she was really good on it.
- 59:30Speaker 1: But I think that's when it hit the worst part.
- 59:33Speaker 1: And I think she ended up not being on the
- 59:35Speaker 1: show because of everything that was going on after a while.
- 59:38Speaker 1: And then she kind of stopped working. So this is
- 59:40Speaker 1: really like the first thing she's done in about five years.
- 59:43Speaker 1: And part of that was a lot of shit was
- 59:46Speaker 1: said about her on the internet. So I thought that
- 59:47Speaker 1: was an interesting real world tie in that, like we're
- 59:50Speaker 1: getting this resurgence of Kirby, but, a lot of what's
- 59:54Speaker 1: happening to our main character is the kind of shit
- 59:56Speaker 1: that she was probably dealing with in the real world.
- 59:58Speaker 1: Cause I think a lot of people were talking about
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: her when they didn't even know what they were talking
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: about much like myself. I didn't even know why I
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: just knew something happened with her and people were talking
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: about it on the internet. And so immediately I was like, Oh,
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: do I not like her anymore? Like, and that's what
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: we all do now. Like everyone is canceled so quickly.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: We don't even know why half the time I have
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: to constantly go, wait, what did that person do again? Like,
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: how did they get themselves? Like, elizabeth banks i did
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: it i was like she said something stupid didn't she
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: and like she did something before that too and got
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: herself in trouble so that like all these real world
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: things keep sort of manifesting themselves into the movie.
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: Yeah glancing at her wikipedia page um there were some
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: things that she brought on herself and there was some
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: other things that were done to her yeah.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: Yeah yeah it's it's yeah so i I was glad
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: to see her back. Like, just back to the movie.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: I liked the Kirby character. It was interesting. I remember
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: when I went back and rewatched that fourth one, she's
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: just gone. Like, you just don't really, like, you assume
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: maybe she was tied to the chair and bled out
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: or something, but we just never come back to her.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: So I'm like, they did either purposefully leave it that
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: way or just didn't tie up that loose end. And
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: we're like, whatever, we're going to finish off the movie
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: over here. And, like, nobody bothered to check on Kirby? Like, so...
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: I like her coming back and it does kind of
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: make sense. Like it is, it is a funny image
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: because she is so tiny. Yeah. Yeah. So I'm like, man,
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: you had to have an uphill battle getting into the
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: FBI because they are all going to be like, what
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: is this girl doing here? But the fact that she
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: did survive something like that would vary strongly. Like you
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: would either go into hiding and become a basket case
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: or you're like her saying, she's like, I wanted them
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: to be afraid of me. And so you go the
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: other way and you lean into the, law enforcement aspect
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: of it and, and become, you know, if not a cop,
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: you go to the FBI and you start tracking down
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: serial killers. So I think that wasn't farfetched really. So, yep.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: I liked having her back. She did good.
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: And was a nice red herring. Because it is one
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: of those, like, you could definitely also see her going crazy.
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: So that is... But as they kept... Like, we get the, oh,
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: she hasn't worked for the FBI. And like, so then
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: everybody's like, oh, it's Kirby. And I'm like, hmm. But
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: we haven't unmasked her yet. So I feel like it's
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: not Kirby. Yeah. It's like the fact that you didn't
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: immediately see that it was Kirby means it's probably not Kirby.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: And then it wasn't Kirby.
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: Yeah. I was relieved it wasn't Kirby.
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: I kind of wanted to... Good things for her.
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: Both in the real world and in the movie. We
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: all want Hayden to have a good run here. So
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: welcome back, Kirby.
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: I am waiting for one of these movies where one
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: of the characters that's already been stabbed in several installments
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: is just like, what the fuck? Again?
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: Well, I mean, didn't we get that last time when
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: they were trying to stab Nev and she already had
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: so much scar tissue that they couldn't get it in?
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: And I'm like, that's what everyone in this series should
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: be like at this point. They're all freaking bulletproof because
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: you've got so much scar tissue. On that note, I
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: did like Jenna's hand scar. It was very visible the
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: whole time. I was like, that should be something you
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: were thinking about since you made the last movie. But
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: I did like that little addition there because they did
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: very obviously shove a knife through her hand. So that
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: would do a little bit of visual damage there.
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: Yeah, she had a rough day in that last movie.
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: More so, I think, than this one.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: But watching it again, just re-watching it, you do see
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: almost making decisions to, like, the foot thing is horrible,
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: but I'm like, that's not going to kill you. The
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: hand wound is not going to kill you. Like, they
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: do a lot more of those gut stabs than they
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: probably should have, so she might have bled out on those,
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: but you do see them making decisions unlike the other
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: opening of the movies when Ghostface is just trying to
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: kill this person. Where this one is plotted out to
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: be like, okay, we're going to do some damage, but
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: not kill her so that the sister will come back.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: So it is, again, kind of orchestrated a little more
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: in that one. There's a lot that I give that
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: last movie that like it throws out because of the
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: wrap up and the people that are doing it. You
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: have to forgive a lot of the conveniences because they're
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: all coordinated that way by the people killing everyone. So, like,
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: it does sort of save itself from having a lot
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: of plot hole problems because... And then this one almost
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: had a version of that because all these things are like, well,
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: how would that and how would... Once you've got a
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: cop working on the inside, I'm like, okay, you can
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: get anything you want. As long as you've got connections
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: and money, like, you can get whatever the hell you want. So,
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: the fact that they had everything from the last, you know,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: decades and like.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: yeah because when they showed the the museum i was
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: like okay there's no way these two idiots could have.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: Gotten all this stuff that's the part that i was
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: like once again you've kind of by the way you
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: wrap up the story also filled in what would have
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: been major issues with the story i'm like well yeah
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: i mean if you've got somebody working from the inside
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: you can get whatever the hell you want.
- 1:05:02Speaker 7: So also i wish that museum was real why don't
- 1:05:06Speaker 7: they make that that would be so cool But not
- 1:05:09Speaker 7: in terms of actual murders, but like memorabilia from all
- 1:05:12Speaker 7: of the screen movies.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: Or stab, whichever.
- 1:05:16Speaker 7: Yeah, I was like, I would live there. That's amazing.
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: If you leave a knife that's been covered in blood
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: for like 20 years, would it not, like, would the
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: blood not eat through the steel? I don't know how
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: that works.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: I figure eventually it would just dry up and fall off, right?
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: It was still pretty blood covered on all of them.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: And I'm like, I feel like, especially if you're moving
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: it from one place to another, you're going to lose
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: half of the blood at least. Just flaking off. You're
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: going to have to get some historical special people to
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: come in and do their airtight restorations on everything and
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: proper presentation.
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:05:59Speaker 7: Yeah and seeing all of the different masks and like
- 1:06:03Speaker 7: some of them that were more aged or had different
- 1:06:05Speaker 7: marks that was funny it reminded me of like all
- 1:06:07Speaker 7: the michael myers masks yeah friday the 13th.
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: Yeah but why did only billy's mask get all old and.
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: Decrepit different stages of it it seemed like because yeah
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: like the fourth one wasn't as bad but then you
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: the further back you go the more beat up they
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: seem like they got but billy's was the worst but
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: I don't know. I kind of wonder, like that's what
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: I was thinking earlier when I was like the way
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: that this one's set up is interesting because he's also
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: leaving the mask there each time. So they're leaving the clues.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: Once again, this is a mystery as much as it
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: is a slasher movie because they're specifically leaving this behind
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: as a clue for our Scooby gang. The core board. Yeah,
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: I was like that's different too because it's not just
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: them killing people it's them specifically setting up this whole
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: big ridiculous orchestrated thing and like time down through each
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: one and it does it is interesting they even kind
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: of reference the fact that the second one takes place
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: at college well in the wrap-up not to again, jump
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: to the end, but like, is exactly the same.
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: You killed my son and I want revenge. Yeah. It's
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: the exact same thing. The boyfriend was the killer in
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: the first one. The boyfriend was the killer last time.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: The parent comes back to get revenge. The parent comes
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: back to get revenge. Recruits a few extras, but otherwise,
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, it's pretty much the same. So again,
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: they both of these movies have kind of capped it
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: off exactly how it should have based on the movie
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: that they're sort of mimicking in it.
- 1:07:36Speaker 7: Now I'm thinking about The seventh one, which would be
- 1:07:40Speaker 7: a reflection of the third one, which was Sydney's long
- 1:07:43Speaker 7: lost brother.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: Now we find out our new girl's long lost brother
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: that she didn't know she had was bothered by Stu
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: because Stu is coming back. He did. I mean, they
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: weren't subtle about it this time.
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: Well, at first, though, they tried because the first time
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: they mentioned Stu, they're like, nope.
- 1:08:07Speaker 11: He's dead well they got him on the board they
- 1:08:09Speaker 11: got him on the board is dead 1960 or 1996
- 1:08:13Speaker 11: and then towards the end of the movie they're like
- 1:08:15Speaker 11: don't be so sure even even our girl is kind
- 1:08:18Speaker 11: of like if you believe that and like she's part
- 1:08:20Speaker 11: of you know she's been there in the.
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: Middle of this the whole time and even she's like
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: if you believe he's dead i was like oh see
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: they're planting that seed They can afford to get Lily back.
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: I would like to see him come back kind of
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: the way Cotton came back, I think, in the second one.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: That would be an interesting opening.
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: Where he's not really the killer like you think he
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: might be, but.
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: That's what, yeah, one of the people online, and there
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: are many crazy people online, but their theory was the
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: TV didn't totally kill him, and his parents were super rich,
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: because look up house, So they immediately got to the
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: cops and were like, hey, get my kid out of here.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: Swap him out with one of these other dead kids
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: of many there are around the town.
- 1:09:04Speaker 8: True.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: And just fake the medical records and like took him
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: off to hiding somewhere. So maybe he hasn't been in
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: prison the whole time because wouldn't they have brought him up?
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: They would have been.
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: If he's in prison, then we would have been seeing
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: him doing interviews with him on TV or something. So yeah,
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: it seems like that's more of a, if you're going
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: to have this crazy far-fetched idea, that would be more
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: of a way to go with it so that nobody
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: really knew he was still out there.
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: Or you could put him in a prison.
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: Make him almost like a Hannibal Lecter character where everybody's like,
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: why would you do this? You did this before.
- 1:09:34Speaker 6: Why?
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: Why is this person doing it? And he's like, well,
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: you see riddles and enigmas.
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: I mean, in a way, again, all of this is
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: super far-fetched and ridiculous.
- 1:09:43Speaker 7: Oh, sure.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: But now, picturing the current day Matthew Lillard doing that scene,
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: I was like, that would be pretty fucking cool. That
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: would be amazing. I do like what he's become now.
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: He was very sort of pigeonholed as that character in
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: his younger days, but now seeing him in recent... well,
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: even in the last 10, 15 years, it's like he's
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: done different type of roles and he is aged into
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: where he is now. So it's like it would be
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: interesting to see him pull off not just an older character,
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: but one that's kind of lived a weird life since
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: then and is way heavier about it all. So I
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: don't know. That would be to see a grown up Stu.
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: I don't know. But I mean, not only do we
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: get the mention of him but we also get the
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: repeat of the tv yeah so we had the actual
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: tv there so that's that's a nice little wraparound tie-in too.
- 1:10:38Speaker 7: And i am glad in this one they didn't lean
- 1:10:41Speaker 7: so heavy on the dead ghost dad hallucinations as they
- 1:10:45Speaker 7: did the previous one i feel like that kind of
- 1:10:47Speaker 7: took me out of it a little bit so i'm
- 1:10:48Speaker 7: glad they they only really had that like maybe once.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: It comes back at the end but then yeah It
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: leads me to, because that's, I mean, are they going
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: somewhere with that is my thing. And it also just
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: kind of makes me, as our audience and the kind
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: of dorks who sit around talking about this all the time,
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: I mean, we've watched this girl go off and murder
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: people multiple times now.
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: So at what point is our, once again air quotes,
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: hero crossed the line and is like, Okay, I don't know.
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: Maybe I should be concerned about you too. Yeah. I
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: do feel like your loyalty to your friends and your
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: sister keeps them pretty safe. But in general... you're one
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: push away from being a serial killer yourself.
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: In this movie, it was almost like there was a
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: switch that was flipped because she was like, okay, now
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: it's my turn to kill.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: Well, she did that last time too. It's like she's
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: victim the whole movie, but then when she gets faced
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: with boyfriend that has screwed her over and is trying
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: to kill everyone around her, including her sister, like, cause
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: that's what, I mean, that's the interesting thing about these
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: two movies versus the others. And it's a difference between
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: her and Ghostface in these. The stabbing is like insane.
- 1:12:03Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: When she wailed on the boyfriend last movie, it was,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: what'd she say, 27 times or something? It is a
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: massive amount of stabs. And it's what she did here, too.
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: She was not fudging around.
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: But that's also what Ghostface now does. Didn't used to
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: do that. But you watch this movie, it is just knife, knife, knife, knife.
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: It is over and over again. That is... Again, I
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: don't know if that's specifically just the way these guys
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: like to do it, is a whole lot of stabs,
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: or if it is sort of Ghostface, which is weird
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: because it's not one person, is mirroring our sort of
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: hero now, that that's how she does it, and that's
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: also how Ghostface is doing it now, which is weird,
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: because again, there's like, she's one nudge away from being
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: a psychopath, so like, is that supposed to be like
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: that on purpose, that like, she is... Her killing style
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: is very similar to our villain of every movie, even
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: though it's a different person every damn time. So, I
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: don't know. That was just weird, because that's a very
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: distinctive difference with her versus, you know, Nev just tried
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: to stay alive. Yeah. Like, Nev just ran away, shot
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: people when she needed to, but, like, she didn't... She
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: wasn't full-on psycho like she becomes when she gets to
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: the finale of both of these movies. Like, she takes
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: them out. So... And her holding the mask at the
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: end of almost questioning things of like, so do I
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: keep this and make this my life's work now? She
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: chooses not to, but there's a minute of her thinking
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: about it. So that's what I wonder. Are they doing
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: something with that? Like, are those planted there because of
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: where we're going? Like, are they going to do something
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: with that? Or is she just always going to be,
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: super innocent girl until the finale and then she just
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: murders the hell out of a bunch of people.
- 1:13:51Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:13:52Speaker 7: And it's tough with that. Like now I kind of
- 1:13:55Speaker 7: hope they don't go with that because they've been like
- 1:13:57Speaker 7: projecting it so much that it just seems like it
- 1:14:00Speaker 7: would be so obvious. And I don't really know a
- 1:14:02Speaker 7: way they could do that without everyone being like, yeah,
- 1:14:06Speaker 7: that's what we thought you were going to do the
- 1:14:07Speaker 7: whole time.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: Well, and we, they're bothering to make her otherwise a
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: good character. It'd be different if she was just sort of, eh,
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: who knows what's going to happen with this girl. But
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: like the whole rest of this movie, you know, we
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: love her sister, but like you start to see, cause
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: in the beginning you didn't really know that the last movie,
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: like maybe she would be like, maybe we're introducing her
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: just to make her the killer. Like, so that would
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: be a big twist at the end. But like, Now
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: that we've seen it's not her that movie, it's not
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: her this time, so to turn around and then go
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: that way with the next movie or the one after
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: that is a weird move. We've built so much time
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: with her and our core group of friends, and we've
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: made them a whole little team now, and then to
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: have her turn on them and everything they've been fighting
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: against seems kind of weird.
- 1:14:52Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: Even if Ghost Skeet's there. Ghost Skeet?
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: I don't think that they will do that, but I
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: think they'll make us... think that.
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: Like, I think the next movie will probably focus on
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: her and cute boy across the hall who.
- 1:15:08Speaker 7: Oh, I forgot about him.
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: He may or may not be the next killer. We'll
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: find out.
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: I mean, he definitely didn't... Oh, I hope not. I
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: love him.
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: But I think they'll make you think that they're working
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: in tandem.
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: I mean, that was definitely where they were going with
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: him again this time.
- 1:15:20Speaker 3: Sure.
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: It's like he was just there, and then he was there,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: but he was connected with her, but for some reason
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: she wouldn't tell anybody, which that was weird.
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: And like... They want you to have human contact.
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: They all are worried about you because you're a psycho.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: Like you having a semi-normal relationship would probably be the
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: most productive thing they could see you doing. But for
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: some reason didn't want to tell them about it. So
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: I don't know. But I do like that they were
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: like making bets on it.
- 1:15:46Speaker 7: I told you.
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: I knew it. I do like the dynamic between the sisters.
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: Like I do think they, number one, they did good
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: casting because I do buy that they could very well
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: be sisters.
- 1:15:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: And then the, even though they've spent so much of
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: their lives apart, that dynamic is there. And they really do,
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: as much as you feel like they care about each other,
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: she's driving her crazy. So like it's, it's very family like.
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: So I do like that. And it'll be interesting to see,
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: assuming they continue to, Rope both of them into doing this,
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: which I would think at this point you'd throw a
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: hell of a lot of money at Jenna. Yeah. The
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: other girl's done a few other things, but yeah, she's
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: not like Jenna's the one you're going to have to
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: fight to keep on this franchise. Yeah. Yeah. That, that
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: will be interesting if we continue down the road with
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: both of them and the twins are always fun. So
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: they just have to keep not killing them, which may
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: get more and more ridiculous as it goes on.
- 1:16:43Speaker 7: But core four.
- 1:16:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: I kind of like, That's why I was like, as
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: they're stabbing the hell out of him, I'm like, he
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: just made up the name. They can't kill him off.
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: They can't kill off his sister. There's four. So that
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: means you've ruined this scenario because you now have to
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: keep all these idiots alive every movie or you're ruining
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: your little game. So they did set themselves up for like, okay,
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: now everybody's going to be upset if you kill any
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: of these four. Yeah. They've got a nickname and everything,
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: even though you can't give yourself a nickname. He is
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: such a dork.
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: Up top. No, don't touch that. There's just moments of
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: them as normal camaraderie kind of stuff that I'm like, yeah,
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: you got to like this group. They're pretty fun.
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: Well, I did like how they know that they're in danger.
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: But at the same time, they're like, we're just going
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: to sit in the apartment and eat spaghetti and drink wine.
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: Good for them.
- 1:17:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: I mean, what else are you going to do? Yeah.
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: I do like she goes through her basic plan, which
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: was last movie, get the hell out of town. That's
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: her immediate move in this one too. And she's not
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: allowed to because some cops involved. I was kind of
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: glad to see, I've always sort of liked Dermot Mulroney.
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: Oh yeah. I think he's always been good in stuff
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: and he is, he definitely has like weight to be
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: able to pull off the cop role. But at the
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: same time, he's just, By the end, he gets to
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: a believable point of just sort of weirdo. He pulls
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: off like, oh, no, this guy's lost it. He's definitely
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: over the edge. That is another new... We've never had
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: a third. We had one solo. We had one solo.
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: We got the duo every time. And then we get
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: to this one where we add a third party into it.
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: Which today I was trying to decide, is he ever
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: in the costumes? Like once the plot gets rolling, it
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: can't be because he's usually there. But like the opening
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: when he says, nobody cares about fucking movies. Like that
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: seems more like dad.
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: To me.
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: Like dad seems, but I don't know.
- 1:18:53Speaker 2: That's a good question.
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: Maybe he's never in the costume. Maybe it's just the
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: other two kids the whole time. Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: It is interesting trying to pin down. You kind of
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: can the last movie. Rewatching the last one, you can
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: almost every time make out because it's almost always the
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: crazy girl, that skinny chick.
- 1:19:09Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: Which does eventually come into play. I was like, is
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: she wearing like giant Hot Topic boots? Because she is
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: not near that tall as Ghostface in the whole rest
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: of the movie. Not to mention, I don't know how
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: she's throwing anybody around because she weighs about four pounds. Yeah.
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: And that's, you know, we get that with this girl
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: here too. I'd seen, but like they're thinking she's the
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: one that comes into the one that we think is
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: dead is the one that goes to Courtney's house. and
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: throws that dude through a wall.
- 1:19:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: And I was like, I don't know that any of
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: the three of them could pick that dude up and
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: throw him.
- 1:19:41Speaker 7: Because even the brother is also pretty skinny.
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: The brother's a skinny dude. And he's an old man,
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: so he can't throw in nobody. So between the three
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: of them, you'd take all three of you to throw
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: that guy. So I do question some of the Again,
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: Ghostface logic. When you're in Ghostface mode, you become Ghostface.
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: I guess so. Which is just all powerful and is
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: way taller and has way more strength than any of
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: our characters.
- 1:20:06Speaker 7: And also super speed.
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. And can just disappear when need be. But
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: I thought that from definitely by the second movie. Because
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: I was like, Jackie ain't killing nobody. I was like, Jackie,
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: which I think the only one, again, watching that one,
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: I think the only one that was probably her was Randy.
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: I think she was the one that took out Randy,
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: but most of the other stuff seems like it's whatever
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: wing that was. Whatever that crazy dude, Billy or whatever
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: he was. Mickey? No, Nicky. There we go. Mickey?
- 1:20:40Speaker 2: Mickey.
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: Mickey.
- 1:20:41Speaker 3: Yep.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: I haven't watched two in a long time. I need
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: to rewatch two.
- 1:20:45Speaker 7: I like two.
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, I don't dislike any of them really. Yeah,
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: that's true. But I will say it's interesting that years ago,
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: when I first saw that second one, I came up
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: with my, again, when have I ever not come up
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: with my own movie? I came up with my own
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: alternate version of what I thought would have been really
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: cool for the second one. And we almost get a
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: version of it here. Because I thought, wouldn't it have
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: been really cool? And I keep trying to do this
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: specifically to this franchise. I keep trying to switch genres. Like,
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: wouldn't it be cool if... like the whole first movie,
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: she's dealing with this sort of a slasher trying to
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: get out of that mode, goes away to college and
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: gets like caught up in a cult because the quote
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: unquote sorority seemed like a bunch of crazy weird girls.
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: So I was like, what if, and then I was
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: like almost like a sorority version of the black Christmas
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: thing that we had to watch that last, that was
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: a bunch of crazy guys. Like what if the sorority
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: was a weird, crazy ass cult that was like trying
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: to suck her into it. And had nothing to do
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: with it. I like switching it up and being like,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: what if we did an entirely different one? And they
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: might be using the Ghostface gimmick, which everybody seems to do,
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: but using it for this weird cult that they came
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: up with. Which is almost weird. Like, all the fan
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: theories before when they saw the trailer, when you saw
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: the curtain open up and you had all the masks
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: and robes up there, everybody was like, oh, Ghostface cult. Like, everybody...
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: theorized that's where we were going to go, which, again,
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: would have been an alternate kind of interesting version if
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: somewhere in New York, like a true crime, maybe that's
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: our commentary, is the people obsessed with true crime started
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: an entire cult based around this real world bunch of murders.
- 1:22:33Speaker 2: I kind of thought that's where we were going towards
- 1:22:34Speaker 2: the end.
- 1:22:35Speaker 3: I did.
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: The two ghost face pop up, and then we know
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: that the dad is orchestrated and all, but we don't
- 1:22:42Speaker 2: know he's the dad yet. But then I'm starting to think,
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: How many of these fuckers are there?
- 1:22:45Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:22:46Speaker 2: Because I just expected boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: That's kind of what I thought for a minute. And
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: then I was like, no, I think they're just going
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: with the you killed our son and our brother and
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: we're pissed at you. Which is a way more basic thing.
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: It's a lot easier to believe than a super well
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: orchestrated cult.
- 1:23:03Speaker 7: Oh, but now I want to see a cult one.
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: But see, like from number two, I thought that would
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: be a cool idea.
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, I guess it's easier than a whole cult.
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: But is that... an easy way to get revenge on
- 1:23:16Speaker 2: somebody I.
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: Mean start a cult well no not the cult are
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: any of these.
- 1:23:20Speaker 7: Based on an easy way to.
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: Get revenge yeah a lot of this is yeah all
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: these are revenge based but man there's a lot of work.
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: They go to a lot of trouble for these plots
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: yeah that's true you could just like turn them into
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: the IRS for tax evasion or something well.
- 1:23:35Speaker 7: They gotta like the kids have to enroll in college
- 1:23:40Speaker 7: are you making those tuition payments like man ugh.
- 1:23:44Speaker 2: I feel like Billy would have just been better off
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: if he just killed Sidney straight out because he had
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: plenty of opportunities in that first movie. And of course,
- 1:23:55Speaker 2: none of this would have happened.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: But once again, even in this movie, well, no, it
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: was the last one that reminded us that none of
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: this would have happened if Gale wouldn't have written that book. So,
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: once again, it's Gale's fault. Everything is Gale's fault. I, like,
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: evened it all on Gale.
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: Well, I love that they showed the display case with, like,
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: all of her books in it.
- 1:24:21Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: Because she keeps screwing everybody over and writing terrible books
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: about them.
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: Well, and I think I asked this the last time, too,
- 1:24:30Speaker 2: but at a certain point, aren't the publishers going to
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: start to be suspicious of Gale? It's like, why does
- 1:24:38Speaker 2: this keep happening to you?
- 1:24:39Speaker 7: Yeah, why are you always around?
- 1:24:41Speaker 2: And you keep writing books about it.
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: You are the only one here every time yeah so
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: at least that if we could kill off gail by
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: making her ghost face eventually whatever it takes to kill
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: her off.
- 1:24:58Speaker 7: That'd be fun.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: Only because i'm not attached because i was kind of
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: glad they didn't go that route with sydney like it
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: would be Like, after all of the other movies to
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: then turn around and make her Ghostface. I'm just like, well,
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: that just seems like... What have we been doing all the.
- 1:25:12Speaker 3: Rest of the.
- 1:25:12Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: What are we fighting for in all these other movies
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: if she's just going to end up Ghostface and get
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: killed anyway? So, I do like... That's the thing. I
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: didn't know. I assumed she wasn't coming back after the
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: last one. It seemed like a nice wrap up. It
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: was only today, getting ready for this, that I read
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: it was for financial reasons. Like, she was written in
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: the original version of this script and... And they had
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: to do massive rewrites when what the studio was offering
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: her was not enough. And I was like, that's weird.
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: Because again, you made a lot of money on that
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: last movie. So why would you not get your most
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: important key legacy character? I mean, again, Courtney Cox can
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: come and go. Dewey's already out. So like the only
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: one you needed to throw money at was her and
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: you didn't? Like, truthfully, I think it's fine because I
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: thought it would be weird if she did. Like the
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: Gale one at least makes sense because she already lived
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: in that city. Yeah.
- 1:26:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: So we knew that from the other movies. She's been
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: there for years. So it's like that, at least for
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: placement and convenience wise, made sense. But why would Sydney
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: come dragging all the way to New York City when, again,
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: even the last movie, the first thing that when it happens,
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: she's like, I don't want to be anywhere near that town. So, yeah,
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: all she needs to do is get the hell away
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: from all of it. Why wouldn't she stay away? And
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: then how could you have her in here and not
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: have it just be a repeat of the last movie? Yeah.
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: Because she wasn't really the main character of the last movie.
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: She just came in.
- 1:26:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I think having her and Sam and I guess
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: Tara was Jen Ortega's characters.
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: I think having all three of them in too many
- 1:26:46Speaker 2: movies would just be too much.
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: It worked last time. It worked last time. Because I
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: liked the passing of the torch. Using their own phrase there.
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: But yeah, I feel like it really was sort of
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: like capping things off. And we had her come back
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: in in a very different place. She's definitely a really
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: different girl than she was even in some of the sequels.
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: Like she is a very different person by the time
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: you get to this super grown up, really kind of calm,
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: cool and collected and packing a gun, pissed off version
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: of her. And I'm like, good for her. That's where
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: she would be at this point. But it also would
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: make no sense. And then how would you not have
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: it just fall back into that same mechanics of, oh,
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: we're in trouble. Here she comes back with a gun again.
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: Last time I said she was the Charles Bronson of
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: these movies. Just come rolling into town. You got a
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: ghost face problem. And like, so she just, every movie
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: would become that if that's what they kept doing. So like,
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: I think it made more sense to write her out
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: and be like, okay, she's done now. Like she did that. She,
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: as they said, she deserves her happy ending. Let her
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: go be with her kids and her husband and not
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: get involved in this bullshit from here on out. So yeah.
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: yes i mean they left the door open enough if
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: they throw enough money at her down the road and
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: they want a cameo they can bring her back but
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: we don't really need her for the constant plots going
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: on in these other movies or it starts to like
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: gum things up i would think so i didn't know
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: that that's why but like i think it works better
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: without her no offense i really like her i would
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: have much rather seen her than courtney but.
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: I think the movies that she was in.
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: She's great yeah She was great in the last one.
- 1:28:17Speaker 2: But now that we've got to focus on somebody new,
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: let's just keep it on the new people.
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: Go ahead. Yeah, I think dragging it on forever is
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: just going to be tiresome in so many ways. It's
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: like if we're passing the torch, pass it, and you
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: go somewhere else and.
- 1:28:31Speaker 2: Do something else. But I could also see them say, okay,
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: it's time to make these movies tired. now like make
- 1:28:36Speaker 2: that a conscious.
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: Yeah well that's why i do like they didn't kill
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: her off off screen or something like she's still out
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: there so if several more movies come along and we
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: need to have her come back as the big finale
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: like that can happen and then i might be okay
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: with it but i think along the way just having
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: her show up randomly to be a fourth character down
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: i'm like this yeah like that seems weird and pointless
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: so yeah i kind of liked it with her out
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: of the picture now because why would she want to
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: be back every step of the way she didn't want
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: to be involved in this bullshit so it's like at
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: least gail had the ulterior motive of constantly reporting on
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: it and then writing books about it so again being
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: the character she was it makes sense that she's always
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: in the middle of it whether we want her there
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: or not but sydney doesn't want anything to do with
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: it so it made more sense that she was gone yeah.
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: There was a... The moment itself wasn't funny, but there
- 1:29:29Speaker 2: was a moment where they... The ghost faces... How do
- 1:29:33Speaker 2: you pluralize this? Is it ghost faces?
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: Ghost face eye.
- 1:29:37Speaker 2: Because that kept bothering me the whole movie. But there
- 1:29:42Speaker 2: is a scene where the two of them stab somebody together,
- 1:29:45Speaker 2: and then they stand up in unison, and they wipe
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: the blood off the knife, which is the signature ghost face.
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: Yeah, that was cool. It was cool, but I'm... Gimmicky,
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: but super cool.
- 1:29:53Speaker 2: But I'm sitting there thinking... I feel like in real life,
- 1:29:57Speaker 2: one of the ghost faces, hey, did you see where
- 1:29:59Speaker 2: I wiped it? And you wiped it, wasn't that cool?
- 1:30:01Speaker 2: And then they'd be giggling about it for like, which
- 1:30:03Speaker 2: is what I would do.
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: Or I can see, especially because they're brother and sister,
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: can you see them out of uniform, standing around their
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: own house going, okay, look, we're both going to time it.
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: Like practicing beforehand in like shorts and a t-shirt going,
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: and then we, one, two, three. And then like, so then...
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: For like six or eight times in a row. But no,
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: you did it too soon. Dumbass. Like seeing them bickering,
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: being siblings and like trying to get their special uniform
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: version of doing it.
- 1:30:30Speaker 2: I just feel like a high five after that would
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: have been understandable.
- 1:30:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: Fist pump.
- 1:30:37Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:30:37Speaker 3: Nice.
- 1:30:45Speaker 7: I will say the train that they're on on the
- 1:30:47Speaker 7: subway scene is the one train which was my train.
- 1:30:50Speaker 7: And I was like, ah!
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: You might have almost got killed by Ghostface is what
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: we're saying.
- 1:30:55Speaker 8: Maybe.
- 1:30:56Speaker 7: I have a picture somewhere on my phone of me
- 1:30:58Speaker 7: going to the Greenwich Village Halloween parade on that train
- 1:31:02Speaker 7: and it's like the whole thing is full of people
- 1:31:05Speaker 7: in different costumes. So watching that scene especially, I was like,
- 1:31:09Speaker 7: I've been there.
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: Again, they were really good at setting up, like, it's
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: a ton of set pieces this time. I guess every time.
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: But definitely these last two movies and, like, the train
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: scene is super creepy. Yeah. Like, the apartment scene with, like,
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: that one goes on way longer than you would think for, like,
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: being trapped in an apartment with Ghostface seems like everyone
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: would be dead really quick. But, like, somehow they find
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: ways to keep like taking it to the next level
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: in the next room and then you barricade the door
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: and you're going out the window so like that was
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: a pretty well orchestrated so i think each of them
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: especially by the time you get to the theater at
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: the end is like a big grand finale in the
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: theater so it is very cinematic at that point we
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: even get the end credits with his dumb movie With
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: Red Right Hand. Yes. Did he license Red Right Hand?
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: Because I feel like.
- 1:31:59Speaker 2: I'm not familiar with.
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: Red Right Hand. Dude needs to sue him.
- 1:32:02Speaker 7: The song that plays like every.
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: Every. The theme to Scream. Red Right Hand. We'll play
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: it at the end.
- 1:32:08Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: But it played at the end of his movie that
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: was running when they sat down on the stage. And
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: we're like, whew, just killed a bunch of ghost faces.
- 1:32:17Speaker 7: I kind of was hoping that they would just end
- 1:32:19Speaker 7: the movie right then. I thought, yeah, like that was
- 1:32:21Speaker 7: going to be the credits. And then it went on
- 1:32:22Speaker 7: for a couple more minutes and I was like, oh.
- 1:32:23Speaker 7: It was fine.
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: But we had to have it pop.
- 1:32:26Speaker 7: That would have been great.
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: We had to have it pop back up again because
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: that happens every movie.
- 1:32:29Speaker 7: Yeah, that's true. And then the ambulance scene so.
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: You know they're not dead. So you know, wait, we
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: got one not dead person that you thought was dead.
- 1:32:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: Sometimes two or three because everybody gets stabbed 14 times
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: in these movies.
- 1:32:42Speaker 2: But they'll be okay.
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: So much. They'll be okay. I do like, I mean, again,
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: the sister thing and the wrap up, like they even
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: work in the you've got to let me go, but
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: hand me that blade first, by the way. So I
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: do like that moment of, again, Jenna just really selling
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: that of like, no, give it to me. I've got this.
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: She takes a hit in the stomach, but once again,
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: everybody gets those. They hand those out at the door
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: when you come in that theater. All right. Welcome to
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: the theater.
- 1:33:09Speaker 2: I think I got one on the way into the theater.
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: So yeah, I do really like that scene of, of
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: her and, I'm going to deal with this myself because
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: she was still such a kid the last movie and
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: seemed that way. She just reads so much younger. So
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: it was weird that I'm like, yeah, everybody else. Okay,
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: I can see him going to college. I'm like, isn't
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: she like 12? She just feels like such a kid.
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: So it is kind of good to see her like
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: graduate up even within this plot of like, no, I
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: can handle myself. Give me that blade. I'm going to
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: go kick this person's ass.
- 1:33:40Speaker 2: Does anybody else besides me feel like she's starting to
- 1:33:43Speaker 2: look like Rosie Perez.
- 1:33:44Speaker 3: A little bit?
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: There's nothing wrong with that. No, I'm not. There's nothing
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: wrong with that. But yeah, Jenna's adorable.
- 1:33:51Speaker 2: I think it's the chin.
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: Jenna's adorable. She was pretty damn good on Saturday Night Live.
- 1:33:57Speaker 2: This is a weird thing to be attracted to, but
- 1:33:59Speaker 2: I do like a woman with a strong chin.
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: It was interesting they didn't do all of the main
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: stuff that got her there. She works better in the skits.
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: The monologue at the beginning is just kind of like, hey,
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: I'm here. Like, it's kind of weird because even she's like,
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: I was just here touring this like a few years
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: ago with my parents. And before that, they wouldn't let
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: me stay up and watch Saturday Night Live. So she's like,
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: this is kind of a weird ride for me. So
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: it's kind of, it does come off a little awkward
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: in the monologue. But like, once she gets in those scenes,
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: She's just good. She's always good.
- 1:34:35Speaker 2: I didn't watch the whole episode, but I did like
- 1:34:37Speaker 2: her on the ridiculousness thing.
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: The one with the... Yeah. That was maybe my favorite
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: one because, again, it just shows her committing. They keep
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: doing this... I guess that's a real show. I don't know. Yeah.
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: I don't have MTV. I don't have fancy cable anymore.
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: I don't have cool stuff like MTV, the cutting edge
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: of music television. But yeah, so they're doing clips of
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: people falling down and every time like she's just like
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: supposed to be there as a as a TikTok person
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: to comment on it. And instead she backs it up
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: with a story of something horrible and just kind of
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: laughs it off. It's like, yeah, that was really fucking weird.
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: And everybody's like, oh, God, like. So she's, yeah, that's
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: maybe the best one of the night. That was pretty awesome.
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: But yeah, they didn't do a Wednesday sketch. They didn't
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: do a scream knockoff. Like all of the things that
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: you think they would have gone for as the go-to,
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: they didn't do. They kept in the promos, they kept
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: talking about they were going to do the Wednesday dance,
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: but like didn't do anything really. They just, she mentioned
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: them in the monologue and that was it. Like she
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: was just like one of the cast the rest of
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: the night. So cool. She's good though. She's always good.
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: But I was, I brought her up earlier of the,
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: the fandom that is centered around Ghostface and the screams
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: as it were when I got to the theater I
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: come in and as always I've said this last time
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: I was like I'm more and more weirded out being
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: next to people now I don't know if that's pandemic
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: or if I've I mean I've always kind of been
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: you know get away from me but I don't remember
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: it bothering me as much in theaters and now all
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: of a sudden it like registers that like you're right
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: next to some weirdo it's different if you know them
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: But like when you just pick a seat and like
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: you're stuck with some whoever. But this time this girl
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: was like, she had the seat kicked up because it
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: was super reclining seats like all of them are now.
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: But she was like leaned back in it and had
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: her legs. So she was like laying in it like
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: with her feet up sideways. Like she was laying on
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: the couch at home. So she was doing that most
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: of the movie. And like I just didn't really pay
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: much attention. So at the end she was like bagging
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: stuff up. Like, I don't know how much stuff she
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: brought with her, but, like, she had a bag. And for, like,
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: the entirety of the credits, which I sat through, she's
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: just putting stuff away and getting stuff situated and zipping
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: up her boots. I was like, what? Were they off altogether?
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: She just settled in. But as she left, I hadn't... Again,
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: it was dark most of the time. I hadn't really
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: paid much attention. But she's wearing a Scream baseball cap
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: with Ghostface on it. She... As she left, she had
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: the giant boots on that the girl from the last
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: movie needed to be wearing because they had giant platforms.
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: So she had those on and zipped them up, but
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: she had ghost face socks on.
- 1:37:24Speaker 3: Cute.
- 1:37:25Speaker 7: I want some.
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: And had a purse with ghost faces on it. So
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: I was like, well, you are all in. Yeah. You
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: are committed to the, you might be starting a cult
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: right now. You should have, you should have. followed her
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: had her on the show that could have been a
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: little creepy so i was just like well if you're
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: out there listening let me know if you're one of
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: many girls probably at this point i think there's a
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: lot of weird horror girls that probably have all of
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: those accessories so if it's you hey write in let
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: us know i want some you just need to go
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: shopping I'm sure at Hot Topic they'll have you covered
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: right now.
- 1:38:02Speaker 10: Oh, gosh.
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: You can get the giant boots and socks with Ghostface
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: on them.
- 1:38:05Speaker 7: I feel like if I walked into there, I would just, like,
- 1:38:08Speaker 7: dissolve into dust immediately. I'd be like, you haven't been
- 1:38:12Speaker 7: here in 17 years.
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: I like to go in to make the kids uncomfortable.
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: I'm mostly there to look at whatever stuff they have
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: that's this, which I actually didn't get from there, surprisingly.
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: But I did go there afterwards. And I do like
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: that some 14 year old has to greet me every
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: time like hey let me know if you need anything
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: and I'm just like you don't want to talk to
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: me I know you don't want to talk to me
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: I find.
- 1:38:35Speaker 2: When I go in there the other people that are
- 1:38:37Speaker 2: in there that happen to be my age are usually
- 1:38:40Speaker 2: being drug around.
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: By oh yeah by a 14 year old.
- 1:38:43Speaker 2: Teenager and the people my age often make this sound ugh.
- 1:38:48Speaker 7: Ugh I wonder when my oldest niece is going to
- 1:38:54Speaker 7: get into that stage because I will totally take her
- 1:38:56Speaker 7: to the mall.
- 1:38:56Speaker 1: But you know what?
- 1:38:58Speaker 2: The last time I went, it was not the dark,
- 1:39:01Speaker 2: dungeon-y type place it used to be. It's all bright colors.
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: It's pretty corporate. It's always been.
- 1:39:08Speaker 2: Corporate, but it went from being gloomy and gothy to
- 1:39:12Speaker 2: anime and... yeah there's a lot of anime oh but
- 1:39:16Speaker 2: i mean that's very cute and not that's money cute
- 1:39:18Speaker 2: that's cute cute because that's.
- 1:39:20Speaker 1: Where the money goes that's where they've always been because
- 1:39:22Speaker 1: i remember someone who's been on the show years ago
- 1:39:25Speaker 1: used to work there and like that's the thing like
- 1:39:26Speaker 1: they got into it back when it was like even
- 1:39:28Speaker 1: the remember the tagline was like it's about the music
- 1:39:31Speaker 1: yeah and like they weren't really even a music store
- 1:39:34Speaker 1: they had some cds and shit but like But even
- 1:39:37Speaker 1: at the time, they also, all of their focused brands
- 1:39:40Speaker 1: were the most mainstream crap of that type. Then I'm like,
- 1:39:44Speaker 1: the kids coming in probably don't like any of this
- 1:39:46Speaker 1: because it's super mainstream crap. There's a handful that mom
- 1:39:49Speaker 1: brought them there, but like any of the legit cool kids,
- 1:39:52Speaker 1: first of all, probably wouldn't come here. And if they did,
- 1:39:55Speaker 1: they wouldn't like any of this music you're playing. So
- 1:39:57Speaker 1: I always thought they were a weird mixture of trying
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: really hard to be cool. And I'm like, you know,
- 1:40:02Speaker 1: that's not how you get cool, by the way. Trying
- 1:40:04Speaker 1: real hard makes you not cool.
- 1:40:06Speaker 2: Try to remember what age I actually was. when I
- 1:40:10Speaker 2: walked in there and thought it's ridiculous for me to
- 1:40:12Speaker 2: be here. But I guarantee it was far later than
- 1:40:15Speaker 2: what most people would find acceptable.
- 1:40:17Speaker 1: No, I have not hit that point. Again, it's almost
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: out of spite at this point. I'm like, oh, I know.
- 1:40:24Speaker 1: Everybody that works here is about 15. I go in
- 1:40:27Speaker 1: there and.
- 1:40:27Speaker 2: I head straight to the clearance t-shirts because at one
- 1:40:31Speaker 2: time they had a bunch of stuff that I liked
- 1:40:35Speaker 2: but a lot of people don't like so it would
- 1:40:37Speaker 2: eventually get clearanced out and I'd get it for like
- 1:40:40Speaker 2: $ 3 or $ 4.
- 1:40:42Speaker 1: You can't go to any of the quote unquote cool
- 1:40:44Speaker 1: stores and buy clothes though, especially pants because they're all
- 1:40:47Speaker 1: made for someone. No matter what size you buy, there's
- 1:40:49Speaker 1: six sizes smaller than any human should be. So as
- 1:40:53Speaker 1: an old guy, you don't need to buy clothes there.
- 1:40:56Speaker 1: But those t-shirts, even those are probably, even those are
- 1:40:59Speaker 1: cut stupid now. I don't know why they have to
- 1:41:02Speaker 1: do that. Just make a dumb t-shirt look like a
- 1:41:04Speaker 1: dumb t-shirt.
- 1:41:05Speaker 2: Well, they put them in what's called the athletic fit.
- 1:41:07Speaker 1: Athletic, which means girl fit.
- 1:41:09Speaker 2: And I'm sorry, but guys watching anime all day are
- 1:41:14Speaker 2: not going.
- 1:41:14Speaker 1: To be athletically fit. Not the mode you're looking for.
- 1:41:18Speaker 1: I've been to horror conventions. The horror guys that are
- 1:41:21Speaker 1: there for Scream stuff probably aren't athletic. Yep, so the fandom,
- 1:41:29Speaker 1: that's equally as much, so. That's what originally started this.
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: I was sitting next to somebody who was stocked up
- 1:41:35Speaker 1: in Ghostface. So I didn't feel quite so bad buying
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: my mug afterwards. Like, well, I'm not as far down
- 1:41:40Speaker 1: the rabbit hole as she is. So I just got
- 1:41:43Speaker 1: my mug here.
- 1:41:44Speaker 7: Yeah, we went on Friday night and the theater was
- 1:41:48Speaker 7: totally packed and like a lot of youths and teens.
- 1:41:51Speaker 7: And I was like, yay. I mean, I hated it
- 1:41:55Speaker 7: because I want to be the only person in the
- 1:41:57Speaker 7: movie theater and I don't want to be around people.
- 1:41:59Speaker 7: But for horror, it's different. The next generation.
- 1:42:03Speaker 1: I think horror is the few times it helps, actually. Yeah.
- 1:42:07Speaker 1: Because I remember that from the last one. I remember
- 1:42:09Speaker 1: it being like a big reaction. There wasn't as much
- 1:42:12Speaker 1: this time. I mean, granted, I went in the daytime,
- 1:42:13Speaker 1: so maybe that wasn't as cool a time to go. But, like,
- 1:42:17Speaker 1: this time was just pretty quiet the whole time. Whereas
- 1:42:20Speaker 1: last time, like, there was a big response from the audience, like,
- 1:42:23Speaker 1: a lot of times about different stuff. And, like, this time, eh,
- 1:42:27Speaker 1: everybody just showed up and watched the movie. Normally, that's
- 1:42:29Speaker 1: what I want. But in a horror movie, I expect
- 1:42:31Speaker 1: a little more. But, yeah, there wasn't as much this time.
- 1:42:34Speaker 1: Just crazy girl next to you.
- 1:42:35Speaker 2: There were, like, six other people in the show I
- 1:42:38Speaker 2: went to. Of course, I also went At 12.30 on
- 1:42:40Speaker 2: a Saturday.
- 1:42:41Speaker 1: Well, again, that was me. I'm an old man. That's
- 1:42:43Speaker 1: what I did. I'll go to sleep if I go
- 1:42:45Speaker 1: at night. I mean, it's past my bedtime.
- 1:42:47Speaker 2: I specifically went that early so I could save a
- 1:42:49Speaker 2: few bucks.
- 1:42:50Speaker 1: No, I go because it's the only time I'll stay awake.
- 1:42:53Speaker 7: I was sleeping. Yeah, I'm like, it's true. I'm like,
- 1:42:56Speaker 7: I have not gone to an actual movie in a
- 1:42:59Speaker 7: theater in the evening after doing other stuff during the day.
- 1:43:03Speaker 1: I will be full on asleep at that point. Yeah.
- 1:43:06Speaker 1: that has nothing to do with the theater although it
- 1:43:07Speaker 1: doesn't help that they recline.
- 1:43:09Speaker 7: You i know the chairs are so comfy i was
- 1:43:11Speaker 7: like i should have brought a blanket but then i
- 1:43:12Speaker 7: would have absolutely just fallen asleep.
- 1:43:14Speaker 1: But i do that at home too so i have
- 1:43:17Speaker 1: to plan out when to watch things to make it
- 1:43:19Speaker 1: through so we can talk about them because if not
- 1:43:21Speaker 1: i'll fall asleep like well we can't talk about the
- 1:43:23Speaker 1: movie this week because i slept through the whole thing
- 1:43:25Speaker 1: so sorry guys.
- 1:43:28Speaker 2: I i feel like as the you as the host
- 1:43:32Speaker 2: of the show, that would be awesome. If it was
- 1:43:35Speaker 2: just me and Nora talking about it, you're like, ah, whatever.
- 1:43:38Speaker 1: Yeah, that sounds interesting.
- 1:43:39Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 1:43:40Speaker 1: I didn't see that part. From the beginning, what happens
- 1:43:43Speaker 1: after that blonde girl gets killed? After that, I was out.
- 1:43:46Speaker 2: Because there have been times where... time has been tight
- 1:43:51Speaker 2: and i just barely squeeze in the movie and i
- 1:43:53Speaker 2: thought well wouldn't it be fun if i just don't
- 1:43:55Speaker 2: watch it and just go there anyway i don't know that.
- 1:43:58Speaker 1: The audience agrees we usually make them watch these dumb
- 1:44:01Speaker 1: or at least tell them to suggest it you don't
- 1:44:03Speaker 1: have to but.
- 1:44:04Speaker 2: Yeah they're gonna be like if i have to watch
- 1:44:06Speaker 2: it that's yeah.
- 1:44:07Speaker 1: That's what i feel like every time that's why i'm
- 1:44:09Speaker 1: like oh no i'm watching it i'm gonna do a
- 1:44:11Speaker 1: little bit of research at least and figure out what
- 1:44:13Speaker 1: the hell we're talking about but Just because I ask
- 1:44:16Speaker 1: other people to watch it. I feel responsible at that point.
- 1:44:20Speaker 2: I may eventually, if we watch a movie that is
- 1:44:22Speaker 2: so bad that I get to the halfway point and
- 1:44:26Speaker 2: feel like turning it off, I may eventually follow that
- 1:44:28Speaker 2: impulse just to see how the rest of it plays
- 1:44:31Speaker 2: out when I get here.
- 1:44:33Speaker 1: It'll be a surprise for you. You guys are like,
- 1:44:35Speaker 1: and then all of a sudden... You're like, whoa, really?
- 1:44:37Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, I like that part. That was my
- 1:44:41Speaker 1: favorite part. so are we glad that we're moving forward
- 1:44:49Speaker 1: on this it seemed like i mean they left a
- 1:44:53Speaker 1: few open doors but i mean the last one sort
- 1:44:56Speaker 1: of capped things off so i feel like the last
- 1:44:58Speaker 1: one almost stood on its own as a requel but
- 1:45:03Speaker 1: like this one feels like it's fully connected to that
- 1:45:06Speaker 1: last movie so this does feel like almost a new
- 1:45:08Speaker 1: franchise or a new offshoot franchise more or less so
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: like are we glad to see six more of these
- 1:45:14Speaker 1: coming down the line? Or, I don't know.
- 1:45:17Speaker 2: Are there supposed to be six more?
- 1:45:19Speaker 1: I'm making up that number, but I'm sure, I mean,
- 1:45:21Speaker 1: this one got greenlit like a couple of weeks after
- 1:45:24Speaker 1: that last one opened because it did so well. So
- 1:45:26Speaker 1: immediately they were like, okay, we can keep doing this.
- 1:45:29Speaker 1: I think it had, it already won the weekend going
- 1:45:31Speaker 1: into this weekend. I don't know that it will do
- 1:45:33Speaker 1: as much. Again, I'm getting, just looking at stuff today,
- 1:45:37Speaker 1: it's like the fans that I was seeing online were
- 1:45:40Speaker 1: really into it, but I also feel like this one
- 1:45:43Speaker 1: could rub people the wrong way and like not so
- 1:45:46Speaker 1: hardcore fans would totally drop off and it won't make
- 1:45:48Speaker 1: the kind of money the last one did. So I
- 1:45:51Speaker 1: don't know.
- 1:45:51Speaker 7: I really liked this one.
- 1:45:52Speaker 2: There's supposedly in this poster, which Nora was happy or
- 1:45:57Speaker 2: kind enough to bring us.
- 1:45:58Speaker 1: Yeah, we did get posters. Thanks to Nora.
- 1:46:01Speaker 2: Supposedly, and I haven't studied it yet, but supposedly there's
- 1:46:04Speaker 2: all sorts of Easter eggs referring back to the original
- 1:46:08Speaker 2: movies and.
- 1:46:09Speaker 1: Well, if you remember, last episode we brought up, because
- 1:46:13Speaker 1: we said, hey, we're watching Scream next time, and we
- 1:46:15Speaker 1: started talking about what's the neighbors at the McKinley house
- 1:46:19Speaker 1: or whatever from the original one that lived next door
- 1:46:21Speaker 1: to Drew's family. They bring them up in what was
- 1:46:26Speaker 1: either in the poster or what people were talking about
- 1:46:29Speaker 1: fan-wise before. They were like, that's going to tie in.
- 1:46:32Speaker 1: That family got murdered too, and then somebody that was
- 1:46:35Speaker 1: related to them now lives in New York or something,
- 1:46:38Speaker 1: but None of that happened, by the way. So all
- 1:46:41Speaker 1: of that fan theory nonsense went nowhere in the real movie.
- 1:46:45Speaker 1: So I thought that was interesting because I think that
- 1:46:47Speaker 1: was tied to the original poster that they put out
- 1:46:50Speaker 1: had something with like a news feed about that family,
- 1:46:54Speaker 1: which when you go see the movie is not at
- 1:46:56Speaker 1: all featured in there. No.
- 1:46:59Speaker 2: I would like to see Stab the Musical, though.
- 1:47:01Speaker 7: I would like to see that.
- 1:47:02Speaker 1: That's great.
- 1:47:04Speaker 2: And they advertise it twice on here.
- 1:47:06Speaker 1: Everything that was a movie becomes a musical at this point. Yeah.
- 1:47:12Speaker 1: I can't imagine it not eventually. I mean, we'll have
- 1:47:14Speaker 1: a screen musical soon, right?
- 1:47:17Speaker 2: I think eventually, yeah.
- 1:47:18Speaker 7: That would be great.
- 1:47:19Speaker 1: Every other thing that was a movie is now a musical.
- 1:47:21Speaker 7: There is an Evil Dead musical.
- 1:47:23Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 1:47:25Speaker 1: And it's been very popular, so.
- 1:47:27Speaker 2: There was a Carrie musical.
- 1:47:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:47:30Speaker 2: Years ago.
- 1:47:31Speaker 3: It tanked.
- 1:47:32Speaker 2: For a long time, it was kind of the benchmark
- 1:47:35Speaker 2: for bad musicals.
- 1:47:36Speaker 1: I knew of it. And then, like, again, back to
- 1:47:39Speaker 1: one of my favorite. But back to our last episode,
- 1:47:42Speaker 1: I'm still watching the WB. Just the CW. But one
- 1:47:45Speaker 1: of their plays that they did in high school on
- 1:47:47Speaker 1: Riverdale was Carrie. So they did the Carrie musical as
- 1:47:51Speaker 1: one of the plays they did.
- 1:47:52Speaker 4: So, yep.
- 1:47:53Speaker 1: That seems very fitting for them. yeah they are a
- 1:47:56Speaker 1: dark ass show oh my god i love it but
- 1:48:00Speaker 1: talk about crazy and over the top and ridiculousness but
- 1:48:04Speaker 1: i mean in the best possible way so yeah yep.
- 1:48:08Speaker 7: But yes i liked this one i think i did
- 1:48:10Speaker 7: i liked it more than five i yeah it's.
- 1:48:14Speaker 1: A toss-up because i like i said i feel like
- 1:48:16Speaker 1: five almost works on its own like i feel like
- 1:48:19Speaker 1: you could just watch five in the first one and
- 1:48:22Speaker 1: you wouldn't miss too much in the in between. And like,
- 1:48:25Speaker 1: you'd get all of the, it kind of caps it off.
- 1:48:27Speaker 1: And I'm like, it really does sort of bookend the
- 1:48:29Speaker 1: two where this only works with the last movie. So
- 1:48:32Speaker 1: it's like, I don't know. I, I'm trying to decide
- 1:48:35Speaker 1: as I rewatched, The fifth one yesterday, I was like,
- 1:48:38Speaker 1: am I going to revisit this one? Like, if I'm
- 1:48:40Speaker 1: only going to go back and visit one every once
- 1:48:42Speaker 1: in a while, am I going to come back to
- 1:48:43Speaker 1: five more often? Because it's its own reboot, recall kind
- 1:48:48Speaker 1: of a thing. And that makes it work better as
- 1:48:50Speaker 1: a revisit. Or do I just want to watch this
- 1:48:53Speaker 1: one because the stuff in New York is really cool?
- 1:48:54Speaker 1: Because it is. I don't know. I still haven't decided.
- 1:48:57Speaker 2: I almost feel like I could be happy with just one, two,
- 1:49:02Speaker 2: and five. Like if I had to watch several of
- 1:49:05Speaker 2: them over and over.
- 1:49:06Speaker 1: I like three. A lot more than most people.
- 1:49:09Speaker 7: I like three too.
- 1:49:09Speaker 1: I like three. Like just again, I like the... Because
- 1:49:13Speaker 1: it's so commentary on the movie part of it. So
- 1:49:16Speaker 1: it's like the fake house that's like... Again, they did
- 1:49:20Speaker 1: that in the third one. We come back to the
- 1:49:21Speaker 1: real house in the fifth one. But like the fact
- 1:49:23Speaker 1: that they created the fake version of the house that
- 1:49:25Speaker 1: all of it took place in, in the first movie...
- 1:49:28Speaker 1: It's really cool.
- 1:49:30Speaker 2: It's also been a long time since I've seen that one.
- 1:49:33Speaker 1: Again, I like what they did. Again, Dewey's awesome in it.
- 1:49:37Speaker 1: I like having a fake version of Gale there, so
- 1:49:40Speaker 1: I love Parker Posey anyway. I already don't like Gale,
- 1:49:44Speaker 1: so I'm like Team Parker Posey all the way. Doesn't
- 1:49:47Speaker 1: really work out so good. Spoilers. But.
- 1:49:50Speaker 7: the tone of the third one is definitely weird it's
- 1:49:53Speaker 7: very like it's different yeah and like very different funny
- 1:49:56Speaker 7: um yeah maybe i just need to watch them all
- 1:49:59Speaker 7: again that's the thing i don't think there's a i
- 1:50:01Speaker 7: know i just want to go four.
- 1:50:02Speaker 1: Is the off one for me but i still think
- 1:50:04Speaker 1: a lot of it's pretty great so yeah i don't
- 1:50:07Speaker 1: know they're all pretty great so i like this one
- 1:50:10Speaker 1: Just as much. Like, I haven't really been let down
- 1:50:13Speaker 1: with any of them along the way. No, not really.
- 1:50:15Speaker 7: No?
- 1:50:15Speaker 1: They're always good.
- 1:50:16Speaker 2: But I do feel like the people who hated Part 5, and.
- 1:50:19Speaker 1: There were a lot... Oh, yeah.
- 1:50:20Speaker 2: Are going to really hate this one. Yeah.
- 1:50:23Speaker 1: I do... I mean... Of weird things that they do
- 1:50:26Speaker 1: this time too, the image of Ghostface with a shotgun
- 1:50:29Speaker 1: is freaking awesome. Yeah. And I know hardcore fans hated
- 1:50:33Speaker 1: that because we've never, he only, they, the killers only
- 1:50:36Speaker 1: resort to a gun at the end once they're unmasked.
- 1:50:39Speaker 1: Like you never see Ghostface with a gun until it's
- 1:50:42Speaker 1: the big reveal and then they hold people at gunpoint.
- 1:50:44Speaker 1: But like, i don't know that was just a great
- 1:50:47Speaker 1: scene like he's just going to town murdering people right
- 1:50:51Speaker 1: and left with a shotgun and i was just like
- 1:50:53Speaker 1: this is a whole new ghost face like.
- 1:50:54Speaker 2: Well i gotta have fun when he started using the
- 1:50:57Speaker 2: gun i was like ghost face doesn't use a gun
- 1:50:59Speaker 2: but then i was like.
- 1:51:00Speaker 1: This is awesome well and once again i was like
- 1:51:02Speaker 1: ghost face isn't an anybody but ghost face is whoever
- 1:51:06Speaker 1: puts on this damn thing so it should be different every.
- 1:51:08Speaker 2: Time and she had already explained that the rules change
- 1:51:12Speaker 2: at this point again really because that's what he said
- 1:51:15Speaker 2: in part three every movie uh so it's like yeah
- 1:51:19Speaker 2: anything goes now yeah i.
- 1:51:21Speaker 1: Liked it because again we reset whoever the killer is
- 1:51:25Speaker 1: every damn time so the ghost face shouldn't really be
- 1:51:28Speaker 1: uniform it should be different to some extent every movie
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: we just have to play on the Key things that
- 1:51:35Speaker 1: still make us come back as the audience and what
- 1:51:37Speaker 1: we like about Scream, but it still should vary realistically.
- 1:51:41Speaker 2: I still want to see, and they showed it in
- 1:51:45Speaker 2: the last one when they're rehashing the Stab movies and
- 1:51:49Speaker 2: how ridiculous it gets. But Ghostface with the big rippling
- 1:51:53Speaker 2: muscles and the flamethrower.
- 1:51:54Speaker 1: And the shiny face.
- 1:51:56Speaker 2: And the shiny face.
- 1:51:57Speaker 1: Shiny mask and a flamethrower.
- 1:51:59Speaker 2: But the big rippling muscles and the flamethrower. That's what
- 1:52:02Speaker 2: I want out of Scream. I want them to be
- 1:52:04Speaker 2: serious about that.
- 1:52:05Speaker 1: I blame the Knives Out guy for that one. Sure.
- 1:52:12Speaker 1: But yeah, I enjoyed this one quite a bit.
- 1:52:14Speaker 2: And maybe a chainsaw. I can see Ghostface with a chainsaw.
- 1:52:17Speaker 1: I mean, the fact that we haven't gotten one yet
- 1:52:19Speaker 1: is kind of surprising.
- 1:52:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:52:21Speaker 1: For being as meta and commentary on horror tropes as
- 1:52:25Speaker 1: it is, it seems like we already would have started
- 1:52:28Speaker 1: working in references to other killers in movies. They constantly
- 1:52:32Speaker 1: talk about them, but we'd start getting kills that were
- 1:52:34Speaker 1: sort of like making fun of other horror movies. So
- 1:52:38Speaker 1: I think we're getting there.
- 1:52:39Speaker 2: Or just to have them go full on Wile E.
- 1:52:41Speaker 1: Coyote with like giant rockets and I think that's going
- 1:52:45Speaker 1: to be in the animated Ghostface special. I'm holding the
- 1:52:48Speaker 1: mug right now. I'll take it. Ghostface.
- 1:52:50Speaker 7: Ding.
- 1:52:51Speaker 1: We just got the little image pop up. Got him
- 1:52:54Speaker 1: wink at you because the mask can wink. I don't
- 1:52:56Speaker 1: know how. But it's animated and it's going to be great.
- 1:52:59Speaker 1: He's going to have rockets and Acme based products.
- 1:53:03Speaker 2: It's going to be awesome.
- 1:53:06Speaker 1: Really, we need to get this animated show going. I
- 1:53:08Speaker 1: would totally watch it. And it's also a musical. We'll
- 1:53:11Speaker 1: have a musical episode during one of the seasons. You
- 1:53:14Speaker 1: always have to have a musical episode.
- 1:53:15Speaker 2: He's going to paint a giant tunnel on the wall.
- 1:53:18Speaker 2: The kids are going to run through it. He'll run smack.
- 1:53:22Speaker 1: Into it. Damn it, man. Why didn't that work? It
- 1:53:25Speaker 1: just makes no sense. Those darn kids.
- 1:53:28Speaker 2: I want this so badly.
- 1:53:29Speaker 1: I would have gotten away with it if it weren't
- 1:53:30Speaker 1: for those darn kids. Oh, man.
- 1:53:33Speaker 2: This sounds great.
- 1:53:37Speaker 1: It's time. Uh, hello, I'm rolling now.
- 1:53:41Speaker 6: You make me wanna die.
- 1:53:42Speaker 1: I'll never be good enough.
- 1:53:46Speaker 6: You make me wanna die.
- 1:53:48Speaker 1: And everything you love will burn up in the light.
- 1:54:05Speaker 2: Shotzi!
- 1:54:10Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. We have to actually roll again.
- 1:54:12Speaker 7: We took a time off.
- 1:54:14Speaker 1: But this is very fitting because, number one, once again,
- 1:54:18Speaker 1: I went out in the world. I only do it occasionally.
- 1:54:20Speaker 1: But I went to a dorky place that had 20-sided die.
- 1:54:24Speaker 1: And I saw one there and went, you know, every
- 1:54:26Speaker 1: time it lands and we all go, I don't know,
- 1:54:28Speaker 1: what's it say? So I was like, what if I
- 1:54:30Speaker 1: got one that was a little easier to read because
- 1:54:33Speaker 1: we all need help. And... Then as I got it,
- 1:54:36Speaker 1: I was like, oh, this is perfect because it's almost color-schemed.
- 1:54:40Speaker 1: It's the black and white version. Look, it's like Ghostface.
- 1:54:44Speaker 1: And I think the 20 has this weird emblem on it,
- 1:54:47Speaker 1: so if it lands on whatever the hell that is,
- 1:54:49Speaker 1: we're going with 20.
- 1:54:50Speaker 2: I don't see a 20. I see a 9.
- 1:54:52Speaker 1: Somewhere here. That thing.
- 1:54:55Speaker 2: That's just supposed to be your 20?
- 1:54:57Speaker 1: Yeah. It's like a torch or something. So, are we
- 1:55:01Speaker 1: ready to roll the new and improved With more legible numbers,
- 1:55:06Speaker 1: ghost face die.
- 1:55:07Speaker 7: Roll it.
- 1:55:10Speaker 2: I think it's the only time I've heard a singular chant.
- 1:55:12Speaker 7: Roll it.
- 1:55:13Speaker 1: And then just nothing. Okay, here we go.
- 1:55:21Speaker 2: I got a five.
- 1:55:22Speaker 1: Five. Look how easy to read it is. This is
- 1:55:24Speaker 1: like for grade schoolers.
- 1:55:25Speaker 7: I did it from across the table.
- 1:55:26Speaker 1: There you go.
- 1:55:27Speaker 7: Wow.
- 1:55:28Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:55:29Speaker 1: All right. This one could be an extra challenge because
- 1:55:33Speaker 1: this list has been going on so long. When I
- 1:55:35Speaker 1: put it on here, it was on Netflix. And last
- 1:55:37Speaker 1: time I checked, I don't think.
- 1:55:38Speaker 7: It's on Netflix anymore.
- 1:55:40Speaker 1: So we might have to go seek this one out.
- 1:55:43Speaker 1: This is Hungerford from 2014. Hungerford? Is that one word
- 1:55:49Speaker 1: or two? According to what I typed, one word. And
- 1:55:53Speaker 1: I think it was just me looking for sort of
- 1:55:55Speaker 1: more newer, which it's sad that newer to me is 2014.
- 1:55:58Speaker 1: But I was looking for just different stuff that I
- 1:56:01Speaker 1: didn't know much about.
- 1:56:02Speaker 2: I'm getting results on Google for the Hungerford Massacre.
- 1:56:08Speaker 1: Maybe that's just people who watched it and then killed people.
- 1:56:12Speaker 2: Did you say what year it was?
- 1:56:14Speaker 1: 2014. Okay. Yeah. IMDb has it as.
- 1:56:19Speaker 3: Oh.
- 1:56:20Speaker 1: Is it foreign?
- 1:56:22Speaker 2: Does it have anything to do with a car crash? Yeah,
- 1:56:26Speaker 2: the poster art's got a lady screaming with an upside
- 1:56:29Speaker 2: down car. Oh, is this a found footage movie?
- 1:56:32Speaker 1: Let's hope not. I didn't pick it because of that.
- 1:56:35Speaker 3: Alright.
- 1:56:37Speaker 2: The lives of a group of teenagers are flipped upside
- 1:56:39Speaker 2: down after their town is taken over by sinister forces. I.
- 1:56:50Speaker 7: You don't want to see it?
- 1:56:51Speaker 1: No, that was an I.
- 1:56:53Speaker 2: It isn't an okay, I'll watch it.
- 1:56:55Speaker 1: I don't know what I think about this is where
- 1:56:57Speaker 1: you were going.
- 1:56:58Speaker 2: What did you think I was trying to.
- 1:57:01Speaker 7: I thought you were saying I... Like dot, dot, dot.
- 1:57:04Speaker 1: Oh, no.
- 1:57:04Speaker 2: I was trying to say I-ite. I see. As the
- 1:57:08Speaker 2: kids say.
- 1:57:09Speaker 1: Do they? Have you been hanging out with Hot Topic again?
- 1:57:12Speaker 2: I don't know if they do. And the fact that
- 1:57:15Speaker 2: I can't say it right just proves that I'm miserably
- 1:57:18Speaker 2: out of touch.
- 1:57:19Speaker 8: Oh.
- 1:57:20Speaker 1: We're old. But that was what I put on here.
- 1:57:25Speaker 1: I don't even remember how it ended up there. But
- 1:57:27Speaker 1: that tells you you need to come on board and
- 1:57:29Speaker 1: give us some new titles. Because that one's been there
- 1:57:31Speaker 1: so long, I don't even think it's on Netflix now.
- 1:57:33Speaker 1: So we have to seek this out and figure out
- 1:57:36Speaker 1: where the hell Hungerford ended up. So we've got an
- 1:57:39Speaker 1: empty spot. When you join the Meltdown Horror Club, you
- 1:57:42Speaker 1: can give us a movie that's probably better than Hungerford.
- 1:57:45Speaker 1: I don't know. I haven't seen it yet, but that's
- 1:57:48Speaker 1: how we do this. You join the club and then
- 1:57:50Speaker 1: you get to listen to all the episodes and you
- 1:57:52Speaker 1: get to give us a movie to put on this
- 1:57:54Speaker 1: list so we can roll this fancy new ghost face
- 1:57:57Speaker 1: die that I got.
- 1:57:59Speaker 7: Join the club.
- 1:58:01Speaker 2: Again, we're particular chanting.
- 1:58:02Speaker 1: I don't think she knows how chants work. We definitely
- 1:58:07Speaker 1: have seen you do it before, though, because you were chanting.
- 1:58:10Speaker 1: for house of wax last time but you got more
- 1:58:14Speaker 1: than one recorded proof.
- 1:58:17Speaker 2: Quit sort of damoclesing me.
- 1:58:21Speaker 7: Join the club.
- 1:58:24Speaker 1: I'm going to loop it and run that over and over.
- 1:58:28Speaker 1: You can't just one, because I know the editor of
- 1:58:31Speaker 1: this show. I can work around that.
- 1:58:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I haven't found this yet. I'm not done looking.
- 1:58:39Speaker 1: You got until next time to come up with it.
- 1:58:41Speaker 1: And so does everybody else out there. So go watch Hungerford.
- 1:58:45Speaker 1: Whether you're going to like it or not, we'll find out.
- 1:58:46Speaker 1: And we'll come back next time and discuss. Anything else
- 1:58:51Speaker 1: to pass along? Be careful on the subways. Somebody might
- 1:58:54Speaker 1: stab you in the gut. But it's okay because it's
- 1:58:57Speaker 1: just a minor wound at best. Yeah. It's like stubbing
- 1:59:01Speaker 1: your toe in the Scream universe. Like, oh, damn it.
- 1:59:04Speaker 1: Gut wound. Yeah.
- 1:59:06Speaker 7: Don't get stabbed.
- 1:59:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I try not to get stabbed.
- 1:59:10Speaker 1: Words to live by.
- 1:59:11Speaker 2: And if you do stab anybody, don't say that we
- 1:59:14Speaker 2: led you to do it.
- 1:59:15Speaker 1: Yes. We did not encourage that.
- 1:59:17Speaker 2: It's a hassle we just don't need.
- 1:59:19Speaker 1: We're starting a cult, but it's a different kind of cult.
- 1:59:21Speaker 3: Sure.
- 1:59:22Speaker 1: Sure.
- 1:59:25Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:59:26Speaker 1: I'd say that about does it for this episode of Ghostface. Otherwise,
- 1:59:31Speaker 1: that about does it. We will return next time. Same
- 1:59:33Speaker 1: geek feed. Thanks for listening. Bye, everybody.
- 2:00:01Speaker 5: Outro Music.
- 2:00:39Speaker 3: I just can't take it.
- 2:01:22Speaker 1: Let's get some games.
- 2:01:42Speaker 5: You're bad, you're abusive, it's a lie, it's a game
- 2:01:57Speaker 5: You're bad, you're bad, you're bad, you're bad You're bad,
- 2:02:02Speaker 5: you're bad, you're bad, you're bad.
- 2:02:16Speaker 7: Oh my God, can't believe what I saw as I
- 2:02:20Speaker 7: turned on the TV.
- 2:02:22Speaker 1: This evening, I was.
- 2:02:23Speaker 7: Disgusted by all the injustice.
- 2:02:25Speaker 6: All the injustice.
- 2:02:47Speaker 1: Thank you. Thank you.
- 2:03:08Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 2:03:09Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 2:03:52Speaker 7: Join the club. Join the club. Join the club.
