- Ranch Wives: Hey guys, this is a little bit of a different episode that we have coming at you. this episode we'll be talking about Lacey's daughter and something that happened to her. she was in an accident, in a horse riding accident. Lacey will get into it more, but if you are squeamish or you really can't handle hearing stuff like that. This is your trigger warning. you can totally skip this week and go on to next week or whatever you want to do, but I just want to throw this trigger warning in that it is a little bit of a heavier episode. Okay, Lacey's back. We need an update. Okay, also like Give us an update. Just like we're outside now, because we need to enjoy summer. Yes. We need to fully appreciate summer before the snow flies. Definitely. Just if people are wondering why our settings have changed, this is why. Yes. And we're at Trins Yep. Because we're coming to her during harvest. Yep. Because a little bit chaotic out there, folks. Little crazy people. first of all, I'm just gonna do a shout out to my brother-in-law who sided my house. If anybody's like, wow, her house looks so good. Amias Thank you. Shout out Amias So Excellent. Yeah. That's Yeah, Lace Tell us what you disappeared. What happened? Tell us a little bit. If you want get into it. Yeah, if you're if you're feeling emotionally recovered. Yeah. I mean I might cry, but That's besides the point. We're still processing. So the end of July. the nineteenth. My daughter's birthday is right around then. So we were gonna go out to the River Hills and do her birthday party and do a wiener roast and she was gonna ride out with a couple of her friends on her little pony. It was all great, had everything ready, they rode out, got to the top of the hills, and she got off but her foot got stuck in the stirrup. so she was standing beside but her foot got caught. And for those of you to don't know, she has cerebral palsy. Yeah. So she already has some leg stuff. We had surgery on her legs in February. Mm-hmm. for that. it kinda got caught and then there was because we were gonna do her birthday party, there was a lot of people coming out. So like her aunt and I were in the bush and then the girls she rode out with were on the one side of her and then her other uncle and aunt pulled up in the pickup in front. So her horse just moved a little bit, but it was enough that her balance was already not good. So she fell. Yeah. And was lying there. And then she was her foot was caught. Her foot was caught in the stirrup. And she couldn't get it out. Yes. But she was trying for a bit. She was trying, yeah, she was. And her horse was standing there and like it's a pony, so she could kind of sit up and reach the stirrup. So she was trying again. But then her other uncle and aunt pulled up with the truck. So then her horse moved again and that f threw her off so she drug a little bit, which then scared her horse. So then her horse took off with her drugging. Golly. And you had to get flown to Vancouver. Yeah. I'm not gonna lie, I'm glad that they flew you to Vancouver because they seemed what's the word I'll use? They seemed to cover a lot more base bases when you guys got to Vancouver. And I'm not saying that the team in town wasn't good, but it seems like there were some things. I think some of it's just the equipment too. Yeah. To see and like the specialists there. are trained to catch certain certain things. Right. So Yeah, like they have brain specialists there. They have heart specialists there. They have like every other type of specialist there. Yeah. Whereas here it's just like general doctors, general nurses. Yeah, you don't have a specialist aspect. Yeah. she knew to roll, which is w crazy because most kids don't. When your foot gets caught in the stirrup, if you have kids Tell them to roll because it could save their life. Yeah. Tell them to roll. Because she knew she had to roll. Yeah. So she did. Her foot got out. But as she rolled and it was in the middle of like a Saskatoon pricker bush. she smashed her face in. And so when it happened, she like And it's all it kind of saying this right now when sh sh it she's hurt really bad. Yeah. So I was there right away. So I picked her up. the aunt and uncle that came in the vehicle. She took her kids out right away. Did she have a seizure? I picked up yeah. And was like trying to talk her out of it, talk her down. It was bloody obviously. Face injuries are always like bloody. Yeah. Super bloody. So I'm like, you know, talking her down, talking her out. By the time I had her like calm down like talked her out of it. And like whatever Erin had the kid her kids out of the vehicle and then Korlynd was like, You need to just get in. Yeah, and we'll yeah we'll Yeah, they'll go find David. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. You need to get in, we'll go. Yeah. So I just held her. the funny part was as he's like obviously speeding down the highway. Yeah. She looks at him and 'cause like it goes through waves of pain. Yeah. Right. When your adrenaline hits. So in between the like not, she looks at him and she's like, just step on it, Uncle Korlynd Step on it. Four ways on and go. Yeah. the way you described that makes it sound like it happened really slow, but it was like this happened all very quickly. It was very quick, but it almost felt like slow motion because like it wasn't just like she fell off, her horse was running, her foot was caught in the stirrup. Yeah. Cause we were like originally like she'd gotten off and then somebody's like, are you okay, And she's like, Yeah, I'm good. But she was still trying to get her foot out. Yeah. Yeah. And then everything the series of events happened. And then like I walked out and realized that her foot was stuck in the stirrup. Yeah. They make kids' stirrups garbage. Yeah. Absolute garbage. Because it rolls their foot in. Right. It's like in. Like that, right? Yeah. So then it catches your like when you step off you need to step out and it's rolling it in. Yeah. So then she like It's stuck. Yeah. Yeah. Well, and it probably also doesn't help with having leg surgeries, she's probably a little those muscles are probably weaker. They are to some degree. They are way weaker With what has happened. And so it's not only was the stirrup in a bad position, her foot was in a bad position. The ankle isn't strong enough. Yeah. Because they like lengthened her Achilles tendon So her ankle isn't strong enough to roll her foot out. Yeah. Right. And like, praise the Lord that she didn't like break her ankle or anything like that. Yeah. Yeah. Like Yeah, like, you know, shattering her nose and fracturing her skull. Like Yeah. Her leg is fine So we Korlynd obviously sped to town. Yes. As one does. Heck yeah, you're putting your four ways on and getting places. Yeah. Yeah. Most people thinking vehicle. I'm sure is the quickest trip he's ever made. I think Yes. Definitely. but yeah, and then like I was not able to carry her in. Like I was so like Yes. At that point you're like Yeah. Okay, your adrenaline's worn off. Now you're like, my goodness, like what is happening? Like you're in panic mom mode. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So he picked her up and they had David was out hiking in the hills with the boys. So they went and told him and then he had I think he had Korlynds vehicle and just like ripped into town with it. Yeah. behind us. So he was like, I don't know, probably ten minutes after us. Right, yeah. My perception of time is really bad. Yeah. Somebody can correct me on this. Did you guys have to wait and triage long or did they triage it? Korlynd carried her in and was just like carrying her, right? She's crying. Yeah. There he walked to the front to look for a nurse. yeah, like like everywhere. Yeah, and he tried to keep her so that the people in the waiting room didn't have to see it. But he w like walked up to the nurses station. There's no nurses there. There's nobody there. And then I don't know, it was probably like it felt like a long time, but it was probably like maybe thirty seconds. Yeah. A nurse came in and she went to call another patient into the back. And Korlynd just turned around and he's like, Can we get some help over here? And she was just like, my word. Yeah. So within like three minutes. I that he did that and not you, because you'd be like Probably you'd be in a panic. I think he was right that I wouldn't be able to pick her up. Yeah. So then they were like trying to ask questions and all the stuff, and I was just like, You need to talk to Korlynd. Like you're like You need you need to. And they're like, Well, okay. So then Because you were so panicked you couldn't even think straight. She's in pain. Her face is it's bleedy. She's crying. She's not okay. Like you're I don't want to answer. Yeah, like I need to be there for her. Yeah. And he needs to answer when her birthday is and what happened. Yeah. Yeah. You know? Totally. And then David showed up. So then they they were really quick on getting her pain meds and all of that. Yeah. And then so she shattered her nose. So they took her in for X rays. And they told us in Fort St. John she shattered her nose and then she tore both sides. Outer lips on both sides. And then she tore up into the roof of her mouth. Like between her front teeth and her gum. Right. Up into her nose. Like there was holes into her nose. Golly. Yeah. And it was I and it was like I think when she rolled, she drug for that whatever it was. So it must have caught on bushes or something. I don't know. So it was packed full of crud. Ugh. yeah. the doctor's like this is not gonna be good to do like with just some local freezing. Like we're gonna try and get her into the O R and put her So they called the anesthesiologist? Yeah. And he deemed Good call on that doctor. He deemed it an emergency because I guess the nurses are also on strike. Yes. Yep. so you have to have a a deem it emergency before they can call in OR nurses. so he had to deem it an emergency. So that those nurses could come in. So they could come in. the OR team. It happened at about Yeah, 'cause you came probably just when everybody left. Yeah. Yeah. It happened about five. golly. And She was out of surgery by midnight. Okay. So they were pretty quick. Right. So they cleaned it out. Once they got in her mouth, they said we can't this is above our like abilities, capabilities. We have to send you to Vancouver. So they cleaned it out and then but they couldn't repair. Is that am I correct? Okay. Right. So they're like Vancouver can at least repair. Yeah. And they said her nose was broken. That was it. so then They called Vancouver the next morning at eight when the plastics open up. Yeah. And they s sent the X rays and said, We have a little girl here. We need somebody to take her 'cause I guess when there's an accident or something and they need specialty, yeah you send it to the entire like plastics group and then a doctor will take her on. Yeah. They probably decide who's the best fit for said surgery. Yeah. Then take it on. So it goes through a board probably. Pediatric. So Right. Yeah. Right. So anyways, she got accepted at just after eight. and then they're like, Hey, we have you on like the urgent list, but not the intense urgent list. Yeah, like you're not dying. Yeah. Like so you're gonna get medavact out probably yeah. Probably within like 12 hours. So Which is the text that you would send me while I was in town. So Brea is in town. It was like, Hey, can I get you anything? And Lacey's like, this all happened and we had just left for Saskatchewan and I was like, that's right. I forgot that you guys were on holidays. Yeah. Cause I was like later on, I was like, man, like if your son, like I would have flown him down. I would have gone and flown him down. Yeah. Easy. I would have like, Hey, let's go. But get on anyways. Yeah. I was like, we're gone. Yeah. And then yeah, so Brea was in town. Brea was in town. He was like, Hey, can I bring anything? And really wanted pajamas. Like she's like, I don't like these Which is valid. Yeah. But I was like, We need like something that'll button up the front. So Brea went shopping, got her some button up pajamas in the dead of summer. Hard to find. Also button up pajamas for young girls. Like hard to find. Yeah. Very hard to find. Like I would never personally, I would never buy my daughter a button up pair of. Like on a day to day. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But I was very impressed you found So Carter's didn't have it and then you text me. That was the other thing. So like, I'll grab everybody a coffee. We'll just have a quick little I'll bring drop like a little gift, get well gift off. Because there's nothing worse than being in a hospital, especially at that age. None of your stuff. With none of your stuff, you're uncomfortable. You've been through a traumatic event. You probably just want something like warm and cozy. That's like what came to my mind. So I was like Hey, if we can do warm and cozy to bring a smile, let's do Kind of like that, you know what I mean? Like there's something to that. And you're yeah, we're we're like 12 hour list kind of thing. Yeah. Twelve hour wait list. I was like, cool. I go to Carter's. I'm not even through Carter's yet. She texts me, we're leaving in 30. What? So we I book it. Carter's didn't have anything. I rip across, go to Walmart. I my mom meets me at Walmart. Yeah. She can jump in with me to do running around, whatever. I okay, that's fine. She was like Brea Brea And I was Run. She was like parked behind me and I was like, run. We've got no time ten seconds. Like we gotta go. So we're like walking through all Walmart tri or like going through it trying to find it. And then she wanted pink was the other thing. If I she wanted pink. And I was like, okay. Well, do you think I could find her size and pink? There was two options for button up girls' pajamas. One with shorts and one with not, if I remember correctly. Yeah, one's long pants. That's right. One's shorts. Did you get both? I got both. Because one the pink one was not her size. Which was great because then she just rotated through. Yeah, it worked out. It worked out really well. But yeah, so then I like I was like, she needs a fuzzy blanket. Like ripping. Walmart is busy for some reason. Like it is packed. And so I'm like, go to this till 'cause there's only one lady there. My mom, bless her heart. She says, not even bless her heart in a good bad way, but like genuinely, she says to this lady, sorry, we're We're meeting somebody who's getting medevaced out Can we please go ahead of you? This lady's like, my gosh, yeah, like go girl. And I was like, okay. And then the lady at the tilt, it was like time just stopped on her dead. She's like, it was so slow. And I was like trying to be patient. She's chatting over. Well, at least the lady in front of you did not go first because. You wouldn't have made it. You wouldn't have made it. No, we wouldn't have made it. We would not have made it. And my mom's like, hey, can we grab our receipt Because I was I don't even know if these are gonna fit. At least if they don't fit, they can return them, exchange them when they're down there, was my thoughts. Yeah, dude. Like this lady was so slow to the point my mom. I'm like I'm grabbing the stuff. I think And you're going already. And I'm running. Yeah. Running. She like jumps in with me. We booked it at the airport. I met Ashley outside of Emerge. You guys were getting loaded. Yeah, we were loading up. You guys were loading, and she ran the bag in. Yeah. Yeah, so it all happened so fast. When you go in the ambulance. I looked at my hold on, I looked at when you sent me the twelve hours. Yeah. It was thirty eight minutes from when you sent me twelve hours to we're to the time that I was crazy in the hospital parking lot. we were there. They were like, Yeah, twelve hours. Yeah. So then David was like, Well, I'll probably like go home and grab our stuff. Whatever. Right. Ashley brought your son in. Yeah. so then Sorry, this is hard. Yeah, that's okay. So then the nurses showed up and they were like, no, this it wasn't even the nurse, it was the paramedic lady. s came in and she's like, Is this We're like, Yeah. She's like, Are you guys ready to go? And we're like, yeah, I guess so. She's like, Kate, we came for someone else, but Your daughter gets priority. So we're gonna take her instead. wow. So do you David We can give you like ten minutes. No, he hadn't left yet. Nobody had left yet. Right. We were still making a plan because they had just come in and said you'll be twelve hours. Like it'll it should be within the next twelve hours. At this point? Yes. She came in right away. So I had went we were up with her all night 'cause she came out of surgery at midnight and then we were up with her. And then you're like getting no sleep. So it's like six o'clock in the morning and I was like I am still covered in blood. I can't deal. So I was like, I'm just gonna go to Erins for an hour. So I went and showered and put on her pants and clothes. Yeah. She clearly has shorter legs than I do. Yes. and then I slept for like an hour. Okay. Like I fell asleep and then she said unlar Yeah, because they weren't gonna call till eight. Call till eight. So I was like, I'll just go for an hour. Yeah and then I'll get up and leave. So she had like coffee and like the whole thing ready for me. I woke up, got up, left. Left. Yeah. Yeah. and then they were like By the way, Just kidding you're going right. You're leaving now. Which is good. It just makes it good. It just makes it chaotic 'cause you think you've got a little bit of time to like get things figured out, get her stuff sorted out. Yeah figured out. Yeah, okay, so share that because a lot of people don't realize the back end of a medevac Yeah, so only one parent can go. Yeah. And Fort St. John had said she has a broken nose, and we need her like they didn't make it sound like we needed to fix her broken nose, like that it was like that broken. Right. They just said we need to send you out to get her lips stitched back together. Because we can't do that. Right. So we thought this was like a one to two day thing. Right. So I but I was like, I need David. His daughter needs him. Like, we need David. Right. So we texted my parents and my parents they have like a air miles visa and they run everything through air miles visa. Right. So they have like lots of It's come out handy for them in a lot of ways. Yeah, class. So we call it a chance. That's what the farm has too. Yeah. So my mom was like 'cause she knew we were getting Medevact out. So she's like, just let me know when you're going. Right. So they when as soon as we found it'll be within the next twelve hours, my mom started looking up flights and trying to get him on a flight. Yeah. so then but then the soonest one she could get was like six PM. Uhhuh. So we're like, okay, well that's fine. He'll go home, he'll get his stuff. Yeah. He'll come back. We'll probably get medevac out sometime between when he leaves and then you know. He meet us down there. yeah. Like so we were like, you know, making the plan. To like leave and then they showed up and they're like, We're leaving. Yeah. Yeah, we're taking you guys and leaving. Which is great that you got to Vancouver earlier than like later. Later. Like if you had gone there at seven PM or whatever. Yeah. So they take us in and it's like into the emergency pediatrics. Okay, hold on, no, no. I need more questions. Stop. So you're you're getting loaded in an ambo to go to the airport. Yeah. They take you in an ambulance to the airport. Yeah. And then a team get meets you at the airport. No, it's the same team that takes you through. So there's a driver for the airport. And then there's a dri like there's a pilot for the flight. Yeah. But it's the same paramedics. The same paramedics that go with you the whole way there and the whole way and then So they came from Vancouver to Van to Fort St. John as a team. To take a patient there. Okay. because they were already there for somebody else. Yes. So they left said person, I don't know. Yeah. And then and then you guys get in. So they put you in the I was watching your flight radar. You can track like flights on flight radar. Love looking at flights. So you track So I was tracking you guys. Nice. I was like, okay, yeah, they're going over Prince George Yeah, I think you sent me an update when they were going over Prince Yeah. If I remember correct. So anyways, you get there, they load you onto the plane. Yeah. Then you get to Vancouver, that team then offloads you to the ambulance and take they take you to the hospital. They have to sign off on her in the hospital. Yeah. Makes sense. It's like a transfer of care thing. Yeah. Yeah. So they're she's in their care. When they pick up from Fort St. John they sign her in. Right. And then 'cause they're their own thing. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. Was it a good team? Yeah, they were a amazing. They were great. Yeah. And did you find the pressure change with her ears and her nose and everything? So they pressure lock the cab in a Medevac sick. Because otherwise it would have like crushed her face more and probably made everything super bad. I see. So no pressure change stuff. No. I thought they'd do that in an airplane too. It's a different kind of because it's more intense. Airlock a plane, but I don't think they changed like they can't change the altitude pressure. And so they did it Fort St. John and then when we were in the air flying, they d changed it slowly to hit the altitude of Vancouver. Yeah, because they're totally different. I don't know how it all works. Also I was Like you were like not in it. Like no, I was not like paying attention to the I'm impressed that you went with All that registered to me was when the guy said you cannot like you have to lock the plane for the altitude of Fort St. John and you can't change it until we're up in the air and it has to be very slow to hit Vancouver. So is there like is it just the pilot and then the medical team or is there like a there's co pilot too. The pilot and co pilot and then the medical team. It's a very tiny plane. How many were on the med team? Four. Four, that's yeah. So like there was That's crazy. There was it was tight. Packed. Yeah. That's why. The ambulance, yeah. David could have come, probably. There would have been enough room. But the flight there wasn't. Not a chance. No. So I like I had thought about letting David, but then the only flight my parents could get, he had to transfer to Vancouver. you went to Calgary or somewhere? Yeah. Yeah, it was a transfer. He had to get off yeah. And there was like a layover. Calgary flight. Yeah. And then we flew. So then he had to find transport at 'cause his flight didn't leave till six. And then so like Calgary's like what an hour? And then there was a layover in Calgary. So it was eleven o'clock before his flight came in. And so then he had to try and and like I've never done this before. I've never flown commercially. I've only ever peremedic like done a medevac plane and my dad had a little Cessna. David's flown all the time to many countries. but I have never been on a fly. Like I've flown, but it's all like my dad had a little Cessna that we flew in when we were kids. Right. And I've never flown commercially. I've only ever flown Medivac. You've never flown commercial. I've never flown commercially. Because you've had to fly medevac with her one other time, right? no, no, no. yourself. Myself. yourself. sorry, I've missed up. Okay, okay, okay. that's wild. So I've never flown commercially. So I was super overwhelmed. Yeah. You would have gone to the airport and been like, I don't know what Twenty four hours. Whatever. Over yeah. No, more than twenty four hours because it was all of Sunday, the whole night. And then all of Monday before I would have ended You're like thirty two hours. Yeah, whatever that is. Yeah. And then there was a layover and I was like, I've never done I've never been in an airport. Like besides the little tiny Fort St. John one picking up my sister. I haven't done. So I was like, That's super overwhelming without having to be awake for thirty two hours. Yes. And I've never had to do like a taxi. And like when we travel, like David does all David does it all. I'm the princess. He does it all. Wow. So I was like, I either can get on the Medevac and they can tell me where to go and how to do it. And what? And asked if I could go. yeah. I'd be like, No, your dad is going. I don't think I could do it. Yeah, but like I couldn't Emotionally, I don't think I could I have a friend on the island. Yeah. And I had texted her and she's like, Okay, I'm on the next ferry, we'll meet you in Vancouver. Yeah. So she came to the hospital. So she was there. So she was there with you. She was there. That's nice. yeah, 'cause I was like You're like, I can't do it alone. Yeah, I can't do this alone. And I was like, I am taking in no information at this point. Like I am here for her my daughter. Yeah. Not for what I'm Yes. And then your friend was texting us updates. Yes. Like that was nice that she could kind of take that over. Yes. It was so nice. Yeah. So nice. I was laughing there was an update about her needing like Nutella. yeah. Her pancakes. yeah, that's what it was Nutella 'Cause you guys were trying to like So yeah, so like w well when we got there they had us in the they brought us into the emergency pediatrics. Right. And then they put like an neck brace on her and treated it like a spinal and like it was that was super overwhelming 'cause I'm like, what what like what? even is going on right now because I only thought they didn't put her in a neck brace. They didn't do anything. But you get to Vancouver and they put her in a neck brace. They panic like it's like this also crazy that they didn't for more think for a back or neck injury considering she's got cerebral palsy, sh you would think she's more susceptible to some of those things. Yeah she got drugged Yeah like there's a lot of smash her face like it should be whiplash on her neck is what they was worried about. Yeah yeah gally so they did all that, they sent her for more x rays and was like her skull is fractured. You're like, wait, what? Yeah. Okay. And her nose is and her nose is shattered. Like too pieces. too dust. It's dust and teeny pieces. Like it's shattered. Shattered. So they called the neuroteam in and a plastics team. So the a doctor that had taken us on is the plastics team came. and then They did a bunch of tests, a bunch of blood work. And then moved us upstairs into the city. And they took the neck brace off at that point. Yeah, they did. Because they had cleared They ruled that out. They clear yeah, they ruled that out. Yeah. That's wild. so then we had just gotten upstairs when David had got in. Came, flew in. Yeah. Right. then you were there for two and a half weeks. Yeah. 'Cause you did you got surgery done on her nose. S yeah, like plastics. Yeah. Done. They had to wait a couple days. And they had to wait till the swelling came down. And they wanted to let her fracture heel a little bit. Right. But mostly they had to wait for the swelling to come down so that they could get in there and see readjust it so they knew what shape they were getting. Golly. and then They also realized when they did surgery, they were like, It's gonna be an hour to like do this. And it was like two and a half hours. And I'm like probably 'cause once they got in there they can see what's going on. They realized that it was much worse it her lip was still packed full of crud and that's partly why the swelling wasn't coming down and she wasn't eating because she was on IV. so she couldn't eat. So they were trying to get her to eat, but because everything was fractured, the doctors were like, Don't let her eat like something hard. Right. Like just soft food. But the kitchen put her on like a mush diet, not just soft food. So that's where the Nutella pancake came from. Was she just wanted a Nutella pancake? Yeah. And we couldn't get one. Yeah. and they were like, Well sh like, try and get her to eat. And I'm like, I don't know how to get her to eat because they're sending her up blended mush that I don't want to eat. Yeah. And her lip was so Swollen. Swollen still. So it's probably beatful. Like yeah. Yeah. So they brought her into surgery and then they were like, wait a second, this is actually this is still full of crud. Well, Fort St. John hadn't even told them that it was cut into the roof of her mouth. like some things were lost in Yeah, in whatever happened. So they thought from the X rays that they were getting a broken nose. and nothing. And it was in those x rays that they seen there was a fractured skull. But Fort St. John didn't. But they didn't send the no, Fort St. John didn't see that. Or if they did, they didn't say anything. Classic. So then But we were told we were getting sent to Vancouver because of her lip tear. Yeah. So then we told I was like, Well, she's got a tear in her lip. But then when they got her into surgery, they realized that it was substantially worse. Yeah. So they did have her on antibiotics. Yeah. previously, but they were like that was a very good thing 'cause it could have been really bad with infection. Yeah, it could have gone. 'Cause it took over an hour and a half to get it cleaned out. my goodness. And then it was an hour for the surgery. And then it was an hour for her nose to get put back. And they had to be super careful. Yeah. And it still a bit wider than it used to be. Yeah. And there's a bone fragment that's just hang hanging out because they couldn't get it back and she said like they couldn't really manipulate it too hard because it was gonna fracture her skull more. So they they did the best they could with what they had without causing the So that bone fragment is just like hanging out. Yeah. We'll probably have to do for their surgeries. Yeah. unless it heals really well. Which it could. You don't know. It could. The one thing about kids is they seem a little more like Resilient. Resilient to some. Like And they heal pretty nice. They seem to heal better sometimes. But not ideal. No. No. Yeah, that's a lot. It's so scary as a mom. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Can't imagine. Well, after some of the horse accidents I've heard, I'm not sure my kids will be Yeah. Horse riders. Mind you though, I think I was telling I was telling one of you this. My father in law didn't let his like the kids, like my husband and his siblings, they weren't allowed to ride with a saddle until later because of getting h because of the design of kids' saddles saddles. Yeah. You're more likely to get hung up and they're not necessarily Strong enough to roll out or g whatever how to ride bareback. Bare back. wow. Because his his opinion jumps or bucks you drive and roll and just duck in a roll. I mean, I'm not saying either are good, but like probably less likely to get dragged. Do you know what I mean? Yeah, and like I grew up on horses. Yeah. We rode all the time as kids and I'd never seen that. That. Yeah. Yeah. I believe it. I think it's a fluky thing. Yeah. But mean we rode bare back a ton. Yeah. But I don't know. It's not s I I didn't grow up on horses, so I know very little to minimal about it. But it makes me be like, Whoa, I don't know. I think it's a great skill to have. I think it's a good skill. Just makes you nervous because when things go sideways they tend to go like I've really side l as like a person whos not a horse person it's even extra scary Right. Because you're just like, I don't I don't know anything. Yeah. Yeah, that's true. A lot. It's kind of a heavy episode. Yeah. Good episode. Yeah. And at the end we're gonna tag on Keith's little Yeah, we've had a story. This is like the hospital wrecks of 2026 thus far. Yeah. I've literally been to the hospital more in 2026 than I have been for my entire marriage. Yeah. So we'll tag that on. Brea and I did a little segment on that. Separately. Separately. We'll put it together with this one. Yeah, we'll put it together. Okay, so I know we're kind of like wrapping in this is a pretty heavy episode, but like Where was your son in all of this? 'Cause he obviously couldn't go on the Medivac with you guys. No, and we thought it was gonna be like a two day thing. Right. So you left him with We left him with family Yeah. Right. And then when we got there we realized this is a much bigger issue. by that time David was already there This is a way bigger thing that we're gonna be here for a long time. Right. So we were looking into like options about like Where to go and what to do. Yeah. We had friends that were driving, but it was gonna be a two day thing. It wasn't gonna be great. And he doesn't know them very well, which is hard because he's like he just wanted to be with Yeah, it's a very emotional family. Yeah, it's a very emotional time. So but my brother is went to military training. Mhm. and he was flying out Saturday. And him and my sister. This was almost a week later then. Yeah. Okay. But during that week him and my sister in law, and my other brother worked really hard and tried to find flights. Yeah. And they ended up getting him on my brother's flight on Saturday morning. and got him down there. And so he flew through Vancouver, but we were able to meet him. It was like six o'clock in the morning, his flight came in. so we met him and could pick him up. And then we got discharged from the hospital. We just couldn't leave Vancouver. But we were she was like, the nurse is like, Do you have anywhere to stay? 'Cause we don't want to discharge you. Yeah. and I was like, Well, not really. We have a friend on the island. And she's like, Okay, you need to take the ferry and go across and stay with them for a week. Right. 'Cause her nose was cast and stuff. So we couldn't leave anyways because of that. she's like, You n you can get on a ferry and we'll let Victoria know. So if anything happens, you go on a way to Victoria. Yeah. Yeah. They will medevac across. Right. Don't get on the ferry, don't come across. Yeah. But like financially you need you can go stay with your friends on the island because it's a lot. It's a lot. my gosh. Not only that, it's a completely unexpected expense. And there are some cheaper housing options. Yeah. If You pre book. Yeah, that's the thing, right? there's like the Ronald McDonald House and the Easter seal, but they're pre booked because like people with like if they know they're down for surgery or other medical stuff, like they're not eligible for emergency situations. Well and like emergency might they might be able to do emergency, but most of the time they're full. Right. Because people that are staying for medical because always just go there. Everybody's staying. Everyone needs yeah, nobody can afford Three hundred and fifty dollars a night in a hotel. No. Plus food. Yeah, that's a lot. So then we went there for a week, which was good. She's on like can't do any activity, but she has an incredible pain tolerance. Yeah. Or something. You do too though. Yeah. So within twenty four hours of surgery she'd come off pain meds. that's nice. That's nice that I feel like it's something you don't really want your kid on for long. Some of those are prepared. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And prior to that she was like only taking part doses of it. Right. but yeah, I think like cleaning out her lip made a huge difference on. Yeah. Well yeah, you'd think it would, wouldn't it? Like all that gunk in there. She started heaving again. Yeah. trying to fight the infection to get it out. But it's probably trying to drink heal. Do you know what I mean? It's probably trying to heal but it's all gunked up so it's healing over Yeah. Who knows what? Yeah. Ugh. I'm glad that you guys got sent to Van for the care that you guys got. Yeah, and the they and then so we went and took the cast off a week later and all that kind of stuff. She actually had follow ups on her legs and they were really good about like coordinating it all so that we could do it while we were there. Yeah. Yeah. And in one day. Yeah. That's good. Cause weren't her am I correct in saying her follow-ups originally were in Edmonton for her legs? No. No, everything got everything's in Vancouver. Okay. She used to go to Edmonton for some reason. I but then it was Alberta won't do surgeries or didn't do surgeries for BC, so we switched the other surgery to BC. But it's very complicated to try and do medical stuff both sides. Yeah, you gotta pick one or the other pretty well. So yeah. Everything's in case we needed future stuff, we decided to just go with Vancouver. Yeah. Yeah, like I wanna book allergy testing and they say like, No, we won't book it in Edmonton. Yeah. Like it only has to be B C. Yeah. Unless But then so then after that week, she was still on antibiotics and stuff and they didn't want her leaving till her antibiotics and we had to drive. Right. You can't fly. You can't fly. 'Cause it would gonna commercial would really do that. Yeah. Really injured up yeah. Ugh. Yeah, I don't I just like the idea of having to put her in a plane. Yeah. Unless you're getting medevaced home, but that's really not how it works. They medavac you down. Yeah. But you're you're on your own, you No. It's covered by medical. But you have to pay for like it's one kid, one adult. Yeah. I thought back in the day you had to pay for like maybe ambulance. I think you do. Keith had to play for his embo when he broke his back. Mm-hmm. I think it depends. I think if it's like it might be if it's a call out too versus hospital transfer. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hospital transfer would be one thing. Like you need to think if it's a emergency like out, then maybe. Yeah. I I could be wrong. I don't know. I don't know. Or maybe yeah, it probably depends on the circumstance Yeah. Yeah. 'Cause as far as I know, like when I was a kid and had surgeries and stuff like that. You never paid for we my parents never paid for the Medavac. But it was hospital to hospital. I don't think you should pay for the Medavac. No. That's wild. Let's add that. It is also sad though, hey, that they get you down there, but then you're on your own together. And there are some fundings that will help. With flights. there is. But we couldn't fly. duh. So you can't cut get your mileage covered though. So you're doesn't But that's hard. It's way harder to get funding for mileage and driving. Right. Vehicle rental, that kind of stuff. So David's parents were coming to Kelowna? for a family reunion or something the following weekend. Or like that weekend. So we got her cast taken off on a Thursday. So they were gonna come down for the weekend. But then so then I like, we'll just catch right back with them. But then we couldn't leave a second time. But his cousin lives in Lake Country. She just moved. Yeah. So you guys stayed there. So then we stayed there. 'Cause I was like, we kinda have a ride and they would leave us a vehicle or like something. Something. You could figure out something. She was like, Okay, as long as there's like a big center, I just don't want you going all the way home till Which makes sense. You're off the antibiotics for a minimum of twenty four, but preferably at least three days. wow. Right. Kind of thing. They want to make sure you're reacting and everything else. And she's not yeah, and her she was on really strong antibiotics. Like her attitude through the whole thing. She was cracking jokes. I know. my gosh Some of the dark humored jokes she's cracking was. Next level. She texted her aunt and was like, because she has three kids and she's always like, I'm losing my mind. So she texted her the picture of this Kleenex and was I caught some on my brain. You can have it. Wild. Yeah. That is something. But yeah, like she couldn't breathe through her nose for like how long? Like three weeks. Till after the stuffing was out. Yeah. You need to keep the stuffing in as long as possible. Yeah, a week. Yeah. All of the cast. She's very Boys better watch out. Yeah, no kidding. I know. That girl does not mess around. No. No. Okay, well. Goodbye. Goodbye. my husband, this man, has been in the hospital in the ER, which he if anybody knows, he hates. I mean any farmer hates the emerge. yeah. But like he really hates He would rather like He's willing to do a lot of things other than that. Yeah. He has ended up in there twice in like six weeks. He has ended up there mo like in six weeks more than he has in the six years we've been married. Which is So annoying. So anyway, it's the first time. Yeah. How did what did he do? Like just half past calving kind of thing. I don't know, like a little bit past. He was pounding out something on the tractor, a part from the tractor. I don't know the details. Something. I was not home. Okay, so him and my my mom came out to give us a hand or like came to visit. I ripped to town, so she was like helping Keith. and he I don't know what something he hit. He had a metal chisel, I think I want to say chisel. It could be something. A tool. It it exploded And like Wait, his tool exploded? Yes. It wasn't the part, it was the tool. Whatever he was like hitting. So was just a random tool that he found to like he uses it all the time. And it's it's like a metal punch. It's like what it's supposed to do. Yeah. Whatever reason, it sheared off and like a metal shard went into his bicep. Like into his biceps. So Like just in the middle, stuck in the middle basically. W well he didn't know, but he just he didn't even feel it. He like, It felt like a pinprick, I just thought it was something. But then he continued like well he felt all the blood rushing down his arm. And so it like soaked through his sweater. yeah. And was like, it went through his sweater. Yes. So there Was wearing a long sleeve shirt too? Or just a sweater and a short sleeve shirt. So it was just under his short sleeve shirt. It went through his sweater into his bicep. So I get a text from my mom, like, hey, I think you need to call Keith because I think he needs to go to a emerg And I was like, what? You're like, wait, every what? Yeah. Like what? What? And so, and like also my mom doesn't do super good with like wound care things. Like my stepdad was a paramedic growing paramedic slash firefighter when we were growing all these things the one that deals with it. He dealt with it. But Keith got hurt. Keith is like in comes into the house, was like, Hey mom, or but can you come give me a hand she's like, what's that? Thinking it's like something minimal. He's like, I I don't know, can you like see if you can squeeze this like dig around in there and like get it out? 'Cause he could feel it. no, I would not be. In certain parts. No, no, no. And so she's like, I don't really think you want me doing that. But she did. She so he was like pinching it and like always things like trying to get it out. And it was really in there. So I got that text at say like one o'clock, like lets just say. He didn't get to town 'til like four o'clock. Like he was in no rush to Like he was digging it out this whole time? No, he dug it out and then he had other things to do, so like he just wasn't like in a rush to go. He's like I'll go when I need Yeah, but he has had a mechanic friend. Slightly different, but he got a metal shard like in his shoulder and his neck, but it caused nerve damage and he like out of work for like a year. Like a really long time. So Keith was like, Well, I don't think it's there, but I don't really know And he was like, I don't know. But because it was like kind of like because he couldn't even see it, he was like worried about it a bit. Yeah. And then my mom too was like, You gotta go, you gotta go, you gotta go. Yeah. So we like sat in the ER. It was also like a really hectic day in the ER with like a bunch of other things like going on. That was a crazy day you guys went to the ER. Yeah, it like a really rough day. A really rough day. Really rough day in the ER. So we weren't like really expecting to get it and we almost left. Yeah. Like Keith. So we like got on the list, whatever. We went back to my moms quickly to grab food and we go my stepdad and we're like, hey, can you dig this out? And Curtis is you don't want me digging in there. Like 'cause you could do more damage by digging. So we waited. He got in finally. They sent him for x-rays. And it's so funny because like when I finally seen him He had like the babyest little band-aid on there. And I was like, Are you kidding me? But we did they dig it out? No. So we X rayed it and the X ray tech was like, what are you in for kind of thing? He was like, Yeah, I'm pretty sure there's like a piece of metal stuck like pretty deep in my arm and she kinda was like Seem to have a lot of time for him, to be honest. Well, they were they were busy and that's fair. I totally get it. So Keith was like, we kind of just need to know if there's metal in there. Well, we have to send it off to Vancouver to see. And if it's like touching something, then it shouldn't be. Yep. So it was like an inch and a half into his bicep, I think it was. An inch and a half, it sounds right. No. Maybe this was an inch and a half. I don't know. It's It's either an inch and a half or two and a half inches. I can't remember the difference. I don't remember what one was what. In his bicep, but it wasn't touching a bone. Yeah. So he's just on a referral list. To get it surgically removed one day? Potentially. They might not ever touch it because it's not touching his bone and it's not touch it's not on a tenden So So if he goes through an airport, will it go off? Probably I don't know. He also will probably have to say like if he ever has to go for an MRI for f some unforeseen reason, it'll probably shoot out of his arm. It's the s it's a it's a decent size, like it's probably not decent, but it's like a size of A grain of rice, let's just say. Yeah. But just like deep into his arm, just like project out like when you still will come out in an MRI. I'm pretty sure like the magnetic thing. Yeah, you can't have any metals. Yeah. I'm assuming it would come out. I don't know. No, it had to say like something in my own. Super gross. So that one wasn't like that urgent. That was like a dual like ideal okay, like this happened. And he was more so worried about the infection because he can't find part of his sweater. That was the other thing he kept telling the doc. Hey, like there might be a piece of my sweater because it was really clean where it went in was like super super clean. It went in so fast. But it went in, it just It went in like a shot. Yeah. No idea. Okay, well It seems to be doing fine, right? It seems to be fine. Sometimes if I try to cuddle on that size, he feels it a little bit, but not major. So anyway, there's that. So then so that was on his arm was that on? Same arm. He's had a tough go. It was actually both on his left. So He's right handed though, right? Yep. Okay. So we go so second story. This one was a little more traumatic. This one's all in my opinion, traumatic. Is he traumatized? No. Okay, okay. Okay, go on. Not even slightly. Go on. He No. Like if he wasn't worried about How to get it out, it wouldn't f anyway, so can hold on. We go to treat this calf like a week ago, was it? Two weeks ago? Two weeks ago. Probably two weeks ago. It must have been because we just pulled the stitches out. So two weeks ago. And he go we tried to he tried to rope it. It's like a little heifer calf with like foot rot. We're assuming foot rot. We didn't actually get to see it at this moment. So we c it is foot rot, but it we just couldn't see what the actual we couldn't open the wound. He goes to like rope it, he misses. But she was just standing there. She's like a really calm heifer. So he grabs just grabs her foot. Just like grabs her. Well then she took him for a little bit of a run through the bush, through a willow. So he's holding on to her leg. Holding on to her leg. And she's just ripping through the bush. It was like really quick, because there was a fence line right there. So he caught her. R his brother just happened to be out with us, came to give us a hand. So Keith has the foot. Richard jumps in, grabs her neck. Or whatever, like grabs you know, her shoulder. And I have the shots loaded. I go to give the shots to treat her. And all of a sudden Keith just like lets go. And he is I look up. So you gave her a shot already? No, I hadn't even gotten the shot. So Richard has her. Yeah. And I have I'm just I look up and I'm about to give the shots. And I just happen to like look over And Keith says, I don't think that's supposed to be like that And so I look Keith said that? Keith said that. Okay. And there is something protruding from just above his elbow, protruding, like not broken the skin, but has pushed the skin as far. You can see it. It's so gross. It was like send us a little video. It's so gross. And it's like pushing the skin. Yeah. So then Richard says, my gosh, is that your arm? Is that your bone? Is that your no you said is that your arm? yeah, is that your bone? I think he said that yeah, whatever. I totally like that. Is that your arm? Is that your bone? And he goes ghost white I was like, Absolutely not. Don't I don't know what you're doing. Don't do that. Don't whatever you're doing, don't do that. Stop. So I give this calf shots. I'm very impressed that in this panic of a moment you still gave a shot. Well, so I had to give two shots, but I'm I think it's because I knew we weren't gonna catch her again after like we had to catch her where she was at. We I just yeah quickly gave it. All of a sudden Keith was like doing the woozy kind of dance and I was like you gotta get to the side by side, we're gonna we're gonna emerge. And he was like, Okay. So you don't think we can get this out? He doesn't remember saying that to me and I was like, Absolutely not. No. Because then he agreed to go to a emerg He didn't fight me. He said, so you don't think we can get it out? He said that once. Yeah. white as a ghost He tries to we get him just barely in the side by side. He tries to move his fingers and all of a sudden he goes limp noodle on the side by side. He passed out. Passes out. And I was great. So big man in the side by side. I am driving as this is happening. And he's kind of just like I'm holding on to him. We should've I should have thought about the seatbelt. I didn't. I'm not gonna lie. Didn't think about it. I was just rushing. Yeah, you're in panic mode. Panic mode. Rush through the yard, get to my car. I'm trying to get him loaded. Our builder comes up to be like, Hey, what's wrong? Is everything okay? Da da da like what do you need? And I was like He's like, I have a first aid kit. I was like, I think we're past that. And I said that. And I was trying to kind of explain. So did the guy stay with Keith and No, I should said that too, because I just threw Keith in the car was just grabbing his I went to grab his wallet to have a guy. I thought we needed his care card. And my keys. Yeah, yeah. Threw him in there. You left him alone? I know. Bad idea. Mark was right there. But but he he doesn't even Yeah. Yeah, he was on the side side, but he was in the car. Couldn't go anywhere. Anyways, yeah, not great. But left him in there, grabbed it. Well, and I mean what would I have done if Mark wasn't there anyways? He would have just been stuck in the car. Yeah. Loaded him, shut him in there, grabbed his wallet, I was backed out, we went. But he wasn't passed out. He was just like woozy. He was well, yeah, he'd already passed out. And then I said, Don't move your fingers. Whatever you do, do not move your fingers because I think that's what's doing you it's hitting a nerve or something. Something. Like or the pain is so in there. Anyways, we get by the time we hit the the pavement. He's like come back around. Which is what? Like ten? Yeah, like ten seven, ten minutes, something like that. Probably seven minutes, but he comes back around, he's doing all right. And he's like cracking jokes. He's still a little white. Yeah. And he's like, Yeah, this sucks, right? And then he c I kid you not, this man picks up his phone to call a customer. Yeah. Because that customer had just called, like just before we went to treat that calf. Yeah. That customer had called. Keith's like, this is a a really good opportune time to call myself. He said, Why might as well not waste this trip to town and I might as well make this phone call. Well this customer also or I thought it was the customer but it was also he had asked if he wanted to play like the fall fair. Keith's like, well about that actually I don't know if I'll be able to play in the fall fair this year because I'm currently on the way to the hospital and I can't move my fingers. Yeah. They continued like even this whoever he was on the phone with continued to chat with him. Like after he said that. So we just chatted and then We continued on our way. Get to the ER. We waited to be like triage like twenty five minutes. And it was I mean it was busy in there, but it wasn't like trauma busy like it was the first time. So whatever. I said to Keith, I was Yo, just go ask the like go ask the lady up there how long it normally takes to get triaged. Because I like, the fact that you haven't been triaged yet, we might as well go drive to Dawson. Yeah. At least you can get triaged. I said, they might not do anything. He was like, You think with it sticking out like that, they're not gonna do anything? I was like, Well, you might not be like if somebody's in there dying, you're probably not gonna be high priority. But if everybody's just in here with a cough, then yeah, you're probably getting it out. Yeah. Triage nurse comes out right away. Keith went to School said nurse and she looks at me it's not good to see you. Or I don't know something to that effect though, like they're like, to see you is probably not great kind of thing. 'Cause so he was he gets in and they never sent him back out. So I'm waiting in you're just hanging out. I'm just waiting in the emerg room. So they triage and then put him in a right away. Right away. He's like no not even a room. They him for x rays right off the bat. Like they didn't even room him because they were So you're just like, do, do, do and then this is taking a long time. Some nurses like Breanna Say me because I'm not I'm not in there. You not it. I'm not the patient. And then she's like, um Keith's wife, Breanna Keith Miss Harris? I that's me. That's me. yeah. And he's waiting in one of the bays to go get X-ray. They sent him for X-rays. And again, the X-ray tech was like good because he had like physical proof that something was like in there. Yeah. And he was like, I'm pretty sure it's a stick, but we actually like didn't see it break off and y the in like the the wound where it like injected into him wasn't very like big. Yeah. The insert wound. Yeah. Entry wound wasn't big. But it was like just look gnarly just protruding. Yeah. And like it didn't hardly bleed. It hardly bled. I kid you. Because it was still in there probably. No, but even like the the initial bleed was like minimal. Okay. I would have expected more blood. Go on with this. Anyways. We need to know exactly what we're Yeah, so so then the doctor comes in and was like, Yeah, that's a stick in there. So they know it's not as bone. But he knows it's not bone. Yeah, he knows it's not but they have to send to make sure it's not bone. Right. So then I had said to the nurse, I said he did tell you that he passed out like twice getting to the vehicle, right? When everybody moves his fingers. She was like, Yeah, he he did he did finally tell us that 'cause I was like he he seems really fine. But he like whenever he moves his fingers he does this whole like thing that you should probably look into. Like I don't know what that is, but look into it. Anyways, so the doctor was like super good, super cheerful, great doctor and was like, Yeah, I think we'll just try and freeze you here and see if we can't cut that out of ya And so this is a stick that isn't as Okay, it's not as big as I thought it was. No, it's like an inch and a bit long quarter inch wide. Okay, not horrible. Not horrible. Not great. Not great. Super fluky. Not a massive stick. That's still gross. So two one stitch in the entry wound and f I think it took four stitches. To cut it out? To cut it out. And I was in there like a dirty shirt. I wanted to see it. cut out. I did I did. I wanted to know, but that doctor So originally he made just a small incision and he was like reefing on that stick. Because they couldn't pull it back through the end of the entry wound because they didn't know if there was any shards or branches or whatever. So they're trying to Yeah, they just keep on pulling it out. 'Cause it was almost out anyways. Yep. So he cut, he pulls, and he and he it's like stuck kind of in the first level of like muscle. It's like so then he has to cut it a little bit wider. Meanwhile, Keith is like he's frozen, but he's not like out or anything. So the doctor we're all just talking to him. It's like me, a nurse and a student nurse, just like Mm, what's going on over there? And yeah, we're in there like dirty shirts. but so they originally thought hold on, let me rewind before we got to this point, he comes in. I had asked my mom, like, hey, we might be here for a bit. Can you bring us lunch? kind of thing. When we'd stood when we waiting to be triaged She'd brought us coffee and like a whatever a bagel or something. Yeah. And he wasn't allowed to eat. So the nurse said, Hey, so when the same nurse I talked to, like Hey, you he did tell you that he passed out, whatever that nurse She's like, just so you know, like you cannot feed him and you can't give him any water because we might have to send him for surgery. Right. And I was like, that's not good. Because they were worried. Nerve damage. Because how? Because he passed out every time he moved his finger. Yeah. And because of where it was sitting in the muscle, they were they weren't sure. So it literally just like went through and just hit muscle? Yeah. But the way that it was like sitting on his muscle was what was causing him to like pass up to pass out. 'Cause even now, fourteen days out, if he moves like his forearm muscle the wrong way or his wrist the wrong way, he can f like it's it's painful. Right. It's not always gonna I'm sure if it'll get better. The doctor said it probably will, but then s after all this so the the doctor's like, so I'm sorry, how did you get Like how did this happen? Like what happened yeah, and so Keiths like trying to explain it. Doctor's like, That's those calves are strong, Keiths like like yeah. Like I don't what do you Yes, but it was just super fluky. So he must have when the calf was kicking, he must have went like this and a tree at the same time that he went to like pull her foot back as she kicked. It just hit the right spot of a tree and the branch had broke off in his arm. But not all the way. Like that was the other thing. It's not like there was a branch sticking out the incision wound Like it was it was really fluky the way that it happened and the way that it broke off. Well then they're like super worked up about 'cause it's a piece of wood. Yeah. That he's gonna have like a major infection. Yeah. So they're all like and a calf, like dirty. Yeah, like it's just gross. It's gross. He could go anywhere. Anyway, so there's like a big foot rot is in his arm. yeah, like what? Yeah. So anyways, it was quite the ordeal. it was super disgusting. I realized I I said to him like later after we left that night, I was I'm so glad you didn't have to go for surgery. that was the other thing I almost forgot. When they froze him, they were like getting him to move his fingers. Yeah, like when the freezing was like starting. Wearing off, he couldn't move his two they were his two middle fingers were like stuck down. Yeah. I was kind of stressed out. Yeah. Like, hey guys, hey, like this Yeah, and so Keith's like Keith looks because they were just about to release us. And then all of a sudden his they were just like stuck. Like they couldn't go down or up. They were just like literally stuck. And so he he looks at me, he's like, Go tell that doctor that these don't release like or just tell him he's I need more like because I need to know. Especially because they were talking about surgery for that Issue. So then the doctor comes back in and so he's like, Can you do this? Can you do And Keith's like, I like they're he's like, I can't do anything. Yeah, they're stuck. So the doctor's like, Okay, I think this is probably just a freezing side effect. We're just gonna wait here. So we waited like forty five minutes, an hour. And then he was getting movement back in. So it worked out. He texted us and then it was like An hour and a half later and I was like, I haven't heard anything. Yeah, no. So so yeah, it worked out. But it was and the doctors were so good, so it was the nurses, but yeah. Super gross. And I said to Keith on the way home, I said, Hey, so fun fact, in our marriage, I'm normally the one that passes out due to injury. Like when I chop the tip of my thumb off or when I mandolin my finger off, I bad issue with like finger finger things. To the point where like I can't even treat him with a finger issue because it makes me woozy. Yeah. I was like We've been to the ER too much and now I have to go move cows because he's peeking his head again. Yeah, so I gotta go. Okay, friends, have a good week.
