- 0:00Speaker 1: If you are driving your car and you are waiting
- 0:03Speaker 1: for pedestrians and if one of them is slowly ambling
- 0:07Speaker 1: along and looking at their phone, yeah, you should be
- 0:10Speaker 1: able to hit them with your car.
- 0:12Speaker 2: How much of your car can you hit them with,
- 0:15Speaker 2: like like you're not speed in the middle, like a
- 0:18Speaker 2: tap on the side, like the nudge. Yeah I support
- 0:21Speaker 2: that one. Yeah yeah, I think running over them and
- 0:23Speaker 2: probably killing them is a touch too far.
- 0:25Speaker 1: I'm saying nudge, nudge, carnudge, A carnudge could still you know,
- 0:30Speaker 1: do a little bit.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Well, the carnadge really rocks you back into kind of
- 0:34Speaker 2: like oh, well, I'm back into reality. True, You're like, oh,
- 0:37Speaker 2: I've got to get off my phone. Yeah, are you
- 0:39Speaker 2: then yelling get off your phone?
- 0:40Speaker 1: Nudge? And then they look up and they're probably you know,
- 0:44Speaker 1: combative and upset, and you're like, well, this is the law.
- 0:47Speaker 1: I can nudge you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, there's
- 0:51Speaker 1: a free nue.
- 0:51Speaker 2: But then I guess at the police they're to kind of,
- 0:55Speaker 2: I guess, determine the strength and the severity of the
- 0:59Speaker 2: nudge because there it's going to be, as with anything,
- 1:01Speaker 2: there's going to be people that kind of take it
- 1:02Speaker 2: too far. And people are gonna nudge too much. Oh
- 1:06Speaker 2: you know, there'll be someone that like over nudge. Well,
- 1:08Speaker 2: they'll be on their hands free, on their phone and
- 1:10Speaker 2: they just want to nudge, so they're just nudging. And
- 1:12Speaker 2: you're like, well, I don't think the nudge was warranted.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Then there's a nice nudge zone that we can all
- 1:17Speaker 1: agree on, I think so, yeah, which is just like
- 1:20Speaker 1: a push a push.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Yeah, but I'm saying the police would someone there has
- 1:24Speaker 2: to be someone who's kind of going to enforce.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Mediate that, yeah of course. Yeah, but okay, I have
- 1:29Speaker 1: one level up from the nudge. Okay. I had this
- 1:32Speaker 1: happen where I thought I saw a free car space
- 1:34Speaker 1: and a packed car park right, couldn't find it, and
- 1:37Speaker 1: like driving around forever. Yeah, I think I see the
- 1:39Speaker 1: free car space. Pull up. There's a guy standing in
- 1:42Speaker 1: the car space and he says, oh, no, I'm saving
- 1:45Speaker 1: this space. In that instance, you can hit them full speed.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Should be perfect.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Tis no way.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Bia had a birthday twenty five, Oh yeah, yeah, which
- 1:59Speaker 2: is terrified. Really, he's got a lot more, a lot
- 2:02Speaker 2: more to give he does.
- 2:03Speaker 1: As long as the knee injury isn't serious.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Well that's it anyway, I made a present for him.
- 2:07Speaker 2: I've written, you know, I do a bit of poetry. Oh,
- 2:10Speaker 2: I do like slam poetry sometimes sam poetry, sam poetry.
- 2:15Speaker 2: There's a few like little kind of unmarked warehouses in Brunswick.
- 2:18Speaker 2: I head down to and yeah, we kind of all
- 2:21Speaker 2: smoke a pipe.
- 2:22Speaker 1: And oh the long cigarettes and people yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 2:25Speaker 1: a lot of black trench coats and then we kind
- 2:27Speaker 1: of just spit bars.
- 2:29Speaker 2: I guess about truth.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Wow, okay, you're ready.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Yeah, there once was a man named Jick Sinner who
- 2:36Speaker 2: truthfully couldn't get much thinner. He's turned one year older,
- 2:41Speaker 2: and provided the weather is colder, he'll probably always be
- 2:45Speaker 2: the winner.
- 2:50Speaker 1: That was beautiful, do you I don't think.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Okay, there's no need to cry, Mike, I can see
- 2:53Speaker 2: it to you. Well, I kind of didn't. I don't
- 2:56Speaker 2: think I landed the ending.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Do you think it's slam poetry? Is there's they're doing
- 3:00Speaker 1: the cadence of there once was a Man from Nantucket?
- 3:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I do. That's all I do is basically yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well,
- 3:07Speaker 2: you know everyone's talking about so you know, it's a
- 3:09Speaker 2: celebration week for him. He didn't interview this week, and
- 3:11Speaker 2: he was asked a question that I know journalists tennis
- 3:15Speaker 2: journalists like us have been too afraid to ask him
- 3:17Speaker 2: for too long.
- 3:18Speaker 4: Is the Nick Sinner Irish?
- 3:21Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 3:21Speaker 4: Everyone asked me that I could potentially be a little bit,
- 3:25Speaker 4: you know. I I had me with my red hair.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Everyone says that I'm Irish, So yeah, I think it
- 3:31Speaker 4: has a compliment, you know, so in in a good spirit.
- 3:35Speaker 4: I certainly don't look like like the classic Italian, but
- 3:41Speaker 4: I feel one hundred percent of Italian.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Wow, he does look Irish.
- 3:45Speaker 2: He couldn't be more Irish, but it doesn't matter because
- 3:48Speaker 2: he feels Italian. I like the takeaway that his brother
- 3:51Speaker 2: is his best friend.
- 3:52Speaker 1: That's beautiful stuff.
- 3:53Speaker 4: I have one brother three years older than me. I
- 3:57Speaker 4: call him also the best friend.
- 3:58Speaker 2: What it's like, What are the old of all the
- 4:01Speaker 2: people he could have met in the world. He's best
- 4:02Speaker 2: Friend's going to be the guy that he shared a
- 4:04Speaker 2: room with.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Man, that's like people who meet their soulmates in high school.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. Look around. Yeah, there's so many other people
- 4:11Speaker 2: out there.
- 4:11Speaker 1: I know. Imagine if you were still with the person
- 4:14Speaker 1: you hooked up with in high school. Yeah, I mean,
- 4:16Speaker 1: I would love to. I don't even know what my
- 4:19Speaker 1: gym teacher is up to. No, he does look very Irish.
- 4:27Speaker 1: You could see him in one of those flat brim caps,
- 4:29Speaker 1: like I know Peggy Blinders is British, but like Birmingham.
- 4:34Speaker 2: You could see that he looks like he's gone through
- 4:36Speaker 2: the potato famine. He's very skinny.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, moving, God, it is our fiftieth episode.
- 4:45Speaker 2: There once was a podcast called uh Arena and my
- 4:51Speaker 2: God was it. You should have seen her?
- 4:55Speaker 1: Seen her? Yeah, our biggest fan was Tina Arena.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Oh, but then arena with the arena.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Well, one's a name, one's a stadium.
- 5:08Speaker 2: God, we would get locked out of my slam poetry
- 5:11Speaker 2: meet up with this kind of stuff. What fifty episodes?
- 5:14Speaker 1: Fifty episodes? Look at us? I mean that is quite
- 5:17Speaker 1: an achieve And people said we wouldn't get past two
- 5:20Speaker 1: or three. And here we are the Big five. Oh,
- 5:23Speaker 1: the Big five.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Oh, I mean, how what are some of your your memories?
- 5:26Speaker 2: That'spring to mind? Some great moments.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Medvedev being so embarrassed and not liking us at all.
- 5:35Speaker 1: I think his manager didn't like I didn't like it more.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Medvedev had a good time, but the manager wanted us
- 5:44Speaker 1: to lose it, and we did lose it.
- 5:46Speaker 2: That quote that was weird, Yeah, guys, that was weird. Yeah,
- 5:51Speaker 2: lose that. Hey, that's great stuff.
- 5:53Speaker 1: No, obviously playing ping pong with the greats Ben Shelton
- 5:56Speaker 1: hitting me in the back with a ping pong ball
- 5:58Speaker 1: as hard as he could. I believe I still have
- 6:00Speaker 1: a scar to this. Yeah, it's been the best man Like,
- 6:07Speaker 1: it is dream job stuff and I'm a big you know,
- 6:09Speaker 1: tennis freaks.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Goes to another fifty more, Hey, fifty more.
- 6:13Speaker 1: That should take us through the Australian Open twenty twenty seven,
- 6:17Speaker 1: which we are super pumped for, and we are of
- 6:19Speaker 1: course missing a huge part of pod labor arena, Lizzie,
- 6:23Speaker 1: who is still in Edinburgh.
- 6:24Speaker 2: In Edinburgh, she just sent us a video from like
- 6:26Speaker 2: seemingly a nightclub.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Yeah, she's like in a full rave and for some
- 6:30Speaker 1: reason then Tennis the Cincinnati opened playing in the background
- 6:33Speaker 1: of a rave and she's just filming it on her phone.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Yeah, with no like, She's just like just sent us
- 6:39Speaker 2: that with no like, yeah, being like hope it's gone well, tennis,
- 6:44Speaker 2: you guys, tennis just her brain working on just the
- 6:47Speaker 2: most minimum capacity of all time. Well, Dennis, I know
- 6:50Speaker 2: people tennis and then sends it to us.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I imagine at in Edinburgh nightclub, your brain would be
- 6:56Speaker 1: you know, at.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Half a copy too. Well, she's running on it.
- 7:00Speaker 1: When she saw tennis, and she did make the correlation
- 7:02Speaker 1: that we are involved. It's impressed associated.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Yeah, it's impressive sport. So yeah, she'll be back very soon.
- 7:09Speaker 2: She will be back very soon.
- 7:10Speaker 1: But uh yeah, it's a shame she's not here to
- 7:13Speaker 1: celebrate the fiftieth. We do have big news in the
- 7:19Speaker 1: other racket, sport world or should I say paddle sport.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Oh, well, it's been a big week in this country
- 7:25Speaker 2: for paddle, for paddle, I better call it paddle ball.
- 7:27Speaker 2: It's just paddles, just paddle. And I think if.
- 7:30Speaker 1: You're maybe pretentious you say padel, well.
- 7:33Speaker 2: You do sometimes, And maybe this is an insight to
- 7:35Speaker 2: how my algorithm sees me. My phone really wants to
- 7:39Speaker 2: auto correct it to paddel all the.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Time, but it's still spelled same.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Well, puts an accent on the either because baddel yeah
- 7:48Speaker 2: like that, yeah, but it automatically changes it to it.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Right. It's like people who correct you if you say
- 7:53Speaker 1: soccer and they're like it's football.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Yeah, is that now paddle Well I do that to
- 7:58Speaker 2: people as well, so I guess I should talk correcting
- 8:01Speaker 2: people to do paddel. But a big week for paddel.
- 8:04Speaker 2: You probably saw it on social media. Just there's celebrities,
- 8:08Speaker 2: there's influencers out in force, all playing in beautiful Sydney harbor.
- 8:13Speaker 2: The weather's out. We didn't get the invite, we.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Didn't get the call up, no, but we had our
- 8:18Speaker 1: own celebrities, well, Victor.
- 8:21Speaker 2: We went down to I think an equally beautiful scenic
- 8:24Speaker 2: backdrop of Richmond Ikea and then in front of it
- 8:27Speaker 2: there's some gorgeous paddle courts and we we took on
- 8:31Speaker 2: the great man Eryl on the ones and twos.
- 8:33Speaker 1: E roll, our producer who brought his.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Well he kind of brought in the big guns.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Yeah, he said, oh, this guy was a junior tennis champion.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Well he said world rank, world ranks, which is not.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Sitting at around one thousands or something.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Oh one thousand, but we're probably at about a thousand,
- 8:50Speaker 2: aren't we.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Yeah, thirty million, yeah, which is nice just to be
- 8:58Speaker 1: in the conversation.
- 9:00Speaker 2: And if you're in the top what seven billion people
- 9:02Speaker 2: in there with thirty millions.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Pretty good. That's not bad, thanks, Errol. That's not bad
- 9:06Speaker 1: at all. Yeah, but we look, it was a great match.
- 9:12Speaker 1: People are saying up there with the twenty twelve Australian
- 9:15Speaker 1: Open between Djokovic and Nadal, Well yeah, maybe fed Nadal.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Which are you.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Talking about when you and I teamed up together.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Yeah, you look you at a slow start.
- 9:28Speaker 2: That's obviously not the point I wanted to talk about.
- 9:31Speaker 2: I was going to talk about our chemistry and how
- 9:33Speaker 2: we were able to get it done.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Well, I'm trying to make you a better player through
- 9:37Speaker 1: tough love. Yeah, so I don't know.
- 9:40Speaker 2: And Eryl can attest to this, and Errol bought Gareth,
- 9:42Speaker 2: who was very positive and has a professional tennis background.
- 9:45Speaker 1: But he also when he showed up twenty minutes late
- 9:47Speaker 1: and then still wanted to warm up, and then he goes, well,
- 9:51Speaker 1: just to let you guys know, like I'm pretty that
- 9:54Speaker 1: is good. Yeah yeah, and he was okay.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Yeah, but I respected then kind of hustling then being
- 10:02Speaker 2: like the complayable and then you're like, well, what are
- 10:05Speaker 2: you doing? That's even lamer. He was just like, no,
- 10:08Speaker 2: I can play, it's good, but I needed more support
- 10:11Speaker 2: from you.
- 10:11Speaker 1: I feel like I don't know if you.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Noticed, but there was a direct correlation between when I
- 10:14Speaker 2: played my best paddle or padel and you were saying
- 10:17Speaker 2: positive things. When you would say I believe in you,
- 10:19Speaker 2: I'm proud of you, that's when I performed the best yet.
- 10:23Speaker 2: I know that was hard for you, but I needed
- 10:24Speaker 2: more of that.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Not hard for me. It's just I didn't get much
- 10:27Speaker 1: opportunity to say it.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Because that seems that's ramatically unfair. There were moments when
- 10:34Speaker 2: I was I was in fine form, very fine form,
- 10:37Speaker 2: but I would just lose it, and that's when I
- 10:39Speaker 2: needed you.
- 10:39Speaker 1: There was a reaction shot from you that was probably
- 10:42Speaker 1: the shot of the day.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Whereas the shot of the best shot anyone's.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Ever seen it. Well, it would have made highlight reels
- 10:48Speaker 1: the world over.
- 10:49Speaker 2: It would have gone into that top twenty million ranking.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Gareth went up to put away an easy overhead, and
- 10:54Speaker 1: you were standing in No Man's Land for as you love,
- 10:57Speaker 1: like you could like just set up amp and No
- 11:00Speaker 1: Man's Land and lived there.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Well, whatever I'm hoping, you know, it's like find your niche.
- 11:04Speaker 2: There's no one in no mental land I'm hoping if
- 11:06Speaker 2: I'm there I'll be the star.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Sam's Land from there. And it's like you just like
- 11:14Speaker 1: held your paddle up like almost in self defense, and
- 11:17Speaker 1: the smash went off your paddle clean.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Into the paddle. It was just one of the the
- 11:22Speaker 2: shot of the shot of a lifetime.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Shot the lifetime. And that's why, that's.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Why No Man's Land is sometimes the spot to be
- 11:28Speaker 2: prompt in your Google Maps next time you're out there
- 11:30Speaker 2: on the court.
- 11:31Speaker 1: But I just bought a new can of padle balls,
- 11:35Speaker 1: which seemingly to me is just dead tennis balls.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Yes, it's like leave tennis balls out in the rain
- 11:40Speaker 2: for a weekend. Bang, you got their perfect pedal.
- 11:43Speaker 1: And I have never played in any match of any
- 11:47Speaker 1: racket sport ever where so many balls ended up miles
- 11:52Speaker 1: away from the court, were putting on launched out of
- 11:56Speaker 1: the stadium, like everyone was probably guilty of it. But
- 12:00Speaker 1: we're talking like the balls ending up in new zip codes.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Yeah, like losing ball losing but like I think you,
- 12:07Speaker 2: we had to steal another ball at one point, we
- 12:09Speaker 2: had to play the last head of the game. Yeah
- 12:11Speaker 2: with one ball.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Yeah, and we're just like because there's you know, dogs
- 12:14Speaker 1: running around in the kind of grass area outside and
- 12:17Speaker 1: we're like, it's theirs.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Now, Yeah, yeah it was. I mean it did. I
- 12:21Speaker 2: thought it was a good training ground. So when we
- 12:23Speaker 2: do get the invite to the Influencer.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Pedel game, we'll be able.
- 12:27Speaker 2: To stay humble and remember where we came from because
- 12:30Speaker 2: it was you know, we're out there with the people,
- 12:33Speaker 2: and then one day we'll get to Sydney Harbor and
- 12:34Speaker 2: then we'll be able to show off our skills. Yes,
- 12:36Speaker 2: my body was definitely sore, definitely.
- 12:39Speaker 1: We I'm glad we didn't call it at ninety minutes
- 12:41Speaker 1: because that was the booking. But then there's no one
- 12:43Speaker 1: came on to kick us off court, so that's the
- 12:46Speaker 1: Rallies were way better when we like.
- 12:48Speaker 2: When you're getting it for free.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Well, well yeah, I think so. And we stayed on
- 12:52Speaker 1: and it was good and you guys started to play better. Like, look,
- 12:55Speaker 1: I was still clearly you know, the best on the day.
- 12:57Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know if you were. I think garrethon, No,
- 13:01Speaker 2: I think Errol, what do you think?
- 13:05Speaker 5: What?
- 13:07Speaker 2: No way, I think Arreth was better. No, yeah, just.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Because you guys were setting him up with meatballs all day.
- 13:14Speaker 2: I'm just saying, look I was, I'm an observer, I'm
- 13:17Speaker 2: also paying attention, trying to learn, trying to get better.
- 13:20Speaker 2: But you know, he there was also a bit more
- 13:22Speaker 2: positivity coming from him, and I think maybe that maybe
- 13:25Speaker 2: affects my opinion or my review of the day.
- 13:27Speaker 1: I thought you were fantastic and showed a lot of promise.
- 13:31Speaker 2: That dark cloud above you slowly lifting.
- 13:33Speaker 1: How was the body earl? Did you pull up all right?
- 13:35Speaker 2: Well?
- 13:36Speaker 1: I skipped doms and went straight into Riga Mortons.
- 13:41Speaker 2: That's a fun way to do it. Well, maybe maybe
- 13:45Speaker 2: it's not for us this game.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Well, to bring it back to tennis, the Australian tennis
- 13:50Speaker 1: great Pat Rafter was at the paddle tournament without us, and.
- 13:55Speaker 2: I thought, like, we met Pat and I thought we
- 13:57Speaker 2: got along. Maybe he could have brought us in there. No,
- 14:01Speaker 2: just know, does the AO not have any pool with
- 14:03Speaker 2: this paddle torn and get us there to Sydney Harbor.
- 14:05Speaker 1: I think they organized it.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Everyone in the world's nearly playing and as this sport grows,
- 14:14Speaker 2: especially in Australia, the next six years, we're going to
- 14:16Speaker 2: see it explode. No, I agree with him.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I think it's gonna it is going to take off.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Yeah, And when I remember being in South America and
- 14:23Speaker 2: everyone going to play paddle.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Yeah, it's so big, so big, so big.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Yeah. The cinematography and that clip is crazy. It looks
- 14:33Speaker 1: so good.
- 14:33Speaker 2: It looks it makes it seem appealing, doesn't It was.
- 14:37Speaker 1: That directed by Chris Nolan because like he's just framed perfectly.
- 14:42Speaker 1: There's the harbor of the bail.
- 14:44Speaker 2: He actually invented paddle, and then there was a time
- 14:47Speaker 2: he went back in time. I went forward in time,
- 14:50Speaker 2: but it was also back and then he told himself
- 14:51Speaker 2: the idea of paddle. Oh he was behind the bookshelf
- 14:57Speaker 2: for the whole time.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Oh wow, it's like pickleball, but with squash wolves you
- 15:04Speaker 1: either die a tennis hero or live long enough to promote.
- 15:09Speaker 2: To cash out on paddles. Now back to the well,
- 15:14Speaker 2: not back, but there was a lot of real tennis
- 15:16Speaker 2: this week going on.
- 15:17Speaker 1: We are doing the big wrap up of Canada, the
- 15:22Speaker 1: Canadian Open, which covers Toronto and Montreal.
- 15:25Speaker 2: I have a question for you about that. And I
- 15:26Speaker 2: know they switch between the two each year, right, so
- 15:29Speaker 2: the men's drawing and the female draw Why is it?
- 15:33Speaker 2: Why don't they just playing in the one city because
- 15:34Speaker 2: I would hate that if they did that. To the
- 15:35Speaker 2: Australian Open. If they split it up, it's like so
- 15:38Speaker 2: Sydney gets one and then Melbourne gets the other and
- 15:40Speaker 2: they swap every year.
- 15:41Speaker 1: I kind of like it. It's a look, it's a
- 15:43Speaker 1: Master's one thousand event. And then you know, obviously Montreal
- 15:47Speaker 1: and Toronto huge cities on that time in Canada. And
- 15:49Speaker 1: then it's it's just nice. You get the men's tour
- 15:52Speaker 1: ones yere, you get the women's tour. It's good.
- 15:54Speaker 2: But it wouldn't be nice here though. For the Australian Open.
- 15:56Speaker 1: No, but they're not going to do it for a
- 15:58Speaker 1: Grand Slam. That would be absolutely nuts.
- 16:00Speaker 2: But I mean, like, I mean, it would be the
- 16:03Speaker 2: Mecca still wouldn't be visited as much if it was
- 16:06Speaker 2: the men's only drawl.
- 16:09Speaker 1: But I mean, we'll get into it. But Nakashima throwing
- 16:12Speaker 1: shade at Toronto in his post match interview. Yeah, he
- 16:16Speaker 1: you know, lost to Ben Shelton in the final and
- 16:18Speaker 1: then he goes, you know, I love it here in
- 16:20Speaker 1: Montreal all so much better Toronto. It's no good.
- 16:24Speaker 3: The uh, the support you guys give to the tournament
- 16:27Speaker 3: and all the players, it's really unlike anything else. And
- 16:31Speaker 3: I'm gonna be honest, I really really enjoy here in
- 16:35Speaker 3: Montreal more than more than Toronto. Fortunately, uh, we'll be
- 16:44Speaker 3: back in Toronto next year. But but I love.
- 16:48Speaker 2: It's like doing one of those It's like Sidney Melbourne jokes.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Isn't that big of a rivalry there between the two
- 16:54Speaker 2: because I thought culturally they were. They kind of didn't
- 16:57Speaker 2: even like they're not even in the same conversation like that,
- 17:01Speaker 2: because Montreal is very French and then Toronto is like
- 17:04Speaker 2: quite American.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:05Speaker 2: I got an NBA team for god's sake.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, true, and a baseball But it is like
- 17:09Speaker 1: when a rock band comes to town, they're like, we
- 17:11Speaker 1: were just in Sydney and they said Melbourne doesn't know
- 17:13Speaker 1: how to rock, and then exactly, let's prove them wrong. Well,
- 17:19Speaker 1: and then Shelton got booed when he goes look, I
- 17:22Speaker 1: like Toronto as well, and they're.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Like, boo, that's kind of rule.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Yeah, but it does Toronto remember it next year when
- 17:29Speaker 1: Nakashima plays there and they're like, oh, we remember you
- 17:32Speaker 1: last night.
- 17:32Speaker 2: It's a genius. Yeah, it's a forward, it's a forward, primo.
- 17:35Speaker 2: It's actually the art of broadcasting it's like very clever.
- 17:38Speaker 2: He's just getting in for the stop next year. Yeah,
- 17:41Speaker 2: and I mean, yeah, I guess. I guess it makes
- 17:43Speaker 2: sense because I mean he also lost in straight sets,
- 17:46Speaker 2: so I guess you got to look he's very quickly
- 17:48Speaker 2: looking at the future.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, totally. But I love this from him because, look,
- 17:53Speaker 1: I think it's the best tenants he's played. I think
- 17:56Speaker 1: he's in form I think we have a ton of
- 17:58Speaker 1: American players in the second week of the US Open
- 18:01Speaker 1: in a few weeks time. But Nakashim has always been
- 18:05Speaker 1: kind of an unknown in terms of not you know,
- 18:08Speaker 1: just for what he portrays himself as to the media,
- 18:11Speaker 1: not a huge personality. Yeah, but look at this. Look
- 18:13Speaker 1: at this man throwing sha oh at a whole city.
- 18:15Speaker 2: So you like it?
- 18:16Speaker 1: I love it, And you know, I'm loving watching him
- 18:19Speaker 1: play at the moment. Just the cleanest game, precision serving.
- 18:23Speaker 2: How about this American All American final in Canada. Yeah,
- 18:27Speaker 2: I guess you've got to feel as an American, are
- 18:29Speaker 2: you excited for the US Open coming up?
- 18:31Speaker 1: Well, that's what I'm saying. And three of the four
- 18:35Speaker 1: semi finalists were American because he had TN and Hodar
- 18:38Speaker 1: on the other side.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Right, The problem is, I guess none of them are
- 18:40Speaker 2: at that like top upper echelon of like could win,
- 18:44Speaker 2: but like, surely someone has a run and then the
- 18:47Speaker 2: New York crowd gets behind it and then you have
- 18:50Speaker 2: some epic, like big crowd moments, like surely at least
- 18:54Speaker 2: one of them can pop.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Well, judging by Shelton's form, it's looking like him. I mean,
- 18:59Speaker 1: I don't know what's going on with Fritz's knee, but
- 19:02Speaker 1: surely with Tienne Fritz Shelton, maybe Tommy Paul needs to
- 19:06Speaker 1: find some form. I love tp you know he's the best.
- 19:10Speaker 1: But I think there's gonna be a lot of American
- 19:13Speaker 1: men and American women in the second week of the
- 19:16Speaker 1: US and there's gonna be some crazy matches.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Is there a world where you could, as Americans, like
- 19:22Speaker 2: start like a Kickstarter or something to fund his girlfriend
- 19:28Speaker 2: to make sure she's there.
- 19:30Speaker 1: I think Trinity and Rodman has enough money. Maybe she's
- 19:34Speaker 1: probably got enough.
- 19:35Speaker 2: She probably does have enough cash. But is there a
- 19:38Speaker 2: way that you could like make sure that she's there
- 19:40Speaker 2: to watch him play in the USO.
- 19:41Speaker 1: If I started Kickstarter for Trinity Rodman, I'm absolutely embezzling
- 19:46Speaker 1: all that I haven't taken it all for myself.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's more like the publicity of like it'll
- 19:53Speaker 2: get a bit of traction. People will be like, oh,
- 19:55Speaker 2: this is happening. She don't She probably won't even follow
- 19:58Speaker 2: up the money.
- 19:58Speaker 1: Unless it conflicts with her schedule.
- 20:01Speaker 2: She would have to be there.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Yeah, and she's been showing up the tournament she does
- 20:04Speaker 1: show up to, he's been winning.
- 20:06Speaker 2: That's what I mean. That's why you've got to get
- 20:07Speaker 2: him to get her there, right, you.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Got to get her there. I think Shelton like dominant
- 20:12Speaker 1: in this tournament. Didn't drop a set.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Yes, so he didn't drop a set, so he played
- 20:16Speaker 2: very little tennis. So he's coming in very fresh. Yeah,
- 20:18Speaker 2: also defended, so there's like good vibes. It's just like
- 20:22Speaker 2: it feels.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Like it's a tame Yeah.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Well it doesn't get kind of wiped in the early
- 20:27Speaker 2: round and have to play some big five setters, like
- 20:29Speaker 2: he could be fresh all the way through.
- 20:31Speaker 1: I think his biggest hurdle, especially if obvious center doesn't play,
- 20:35Speaker 1: which we don't know yet, is going to be Zverev,
- 20:38Speaker 1: who cleans up lefties. So yeah, he loves playing a lefty, so.
- 20:45Speaker 2: He's yeah, great guy.
- 20:46Speaker 6: M Yeah, I should say, before we get into more
- 20:52Speaker 6: of the tales of what happened in Canada, I had
- 20:58Speaker 6: a man on the ground.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Ground, I had a man on the ground.
- 21:04Speaker 2: He's almost transformed completely.
- 21:07Speaker 1: All that hard work we've been putting in.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Was that Aussie ground again, I had.
- 21:13Speaker 1: A man on the ground. Now that's Southern.
- 21:15Speaker 2: No, there's a case you know when I was at
- 21:18Speaker 2: your wedding in Hawaii speaking to like some of your oldest,
- 21:22Speaker 2: like Kansas friends. Yeah, they were like something like one
- 21:26Speaker 2: of them was genuinely sad. They said. When I hear
- 21:28Speaker 2: Mike sometimes I just hear the accent going and he's like,
- 21:32Speaker 2: shut up. But I remember once we were having a
- 21:34Speaker 2: barbecue somewhere and you were like, should we just get
- 21:37Speaker 2: some snags? And I was like, look at this guy
- 21:39Speaker 2: is assimilated.
- 21:40Speaker 1: I've never said snags.
- 21:42Speaker 2: You said snags.
- 21:43Speaker 1: No, I want stooped.
- 21:45Speaker 2: He said Barbie, And he said snags.
- 21:47Speaker 1: But I meant the Barbie dolls that I keep under
- 21:50Speaker 1: my bed.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Oh okay, should get by. Yeah that was weirdly cool
- 21:54Speaker 2: with that as well. You were, yeah, so I have
- 21:58Speaker 2: a man on the ground Toronto.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Yeah, who went to the tournament and his report back
- 22:05Speaker 1: This is a Tom Schaeffer, great friend also at the
- 22:08Speaker 1: wedding Jerman Ye yeah, yeah, lovely guy. So he lives
- 22:13Speaker 1: in Toronto and he got along to the tournament and
- 22:16Speaker 1: he said grounds are very active, tons of games, challenges,
- 22:20Speaker 1: and so they've obviously taken that from the Australian Open model.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Players and coaches walking around the grounds to practice, lots
- 22:27Speaker 1: of chances to snap picks and get autographs. So there's
- 22:30Speaker 1: a lot of access to the players. That sounds great. Yeah,
- 22:33Speaker 1: a little festival vibe. Practice courts are great to hang
- 22:36Speaker 1: and watch them play, so casual. The outside courts are
- 22:39Speaker 1: smaller and really good. Large Filipino community came out and
- 22:43Speaker 1: supported Yalla. Every match was a home game for her,
- 22:47Speaker 1: same with Fernandez. Lots of support. She has a local
- 22:49Speaker 1: favorite and Osaka definitely a fan favorite as well. But
- 22:55Speaker 1: people have been complaining, especially on the men's side, that
- 22:59Speaker 1: it is too long now and it competes with Cincinnati
- 23:02Speaker 1: and Washington, d c. For the US Open warm up.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Used to be only one week now twelve days.
- 23:08Speaker 2: This is a huge it's a huge issue.
- 23:10Speaker 1: And that was Mike's man on the ground. It was
- 23:14Speaker 1: it was that was Deller, and thank you, Thomas Schaeffer.
- 23:17Speaker 1: You're for that.
- 23:18Speaker 2: It's like a very detailed professional report. Well, I was like,
- 23:21Speaker 2: this is insane.
- 23:22Speaker 1: I can't say what he called me at the end
- 23:24Speaker 1: of it.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Actually kind of makes me want to go to a
- 23:25Speaker 2: tournament like the like the Canadian Open, because you know,
- 23:29Speaker 2: it's it's almost like a full Grand Slam kind of
- 23:32Speaker 2: talent pool, yet it's going to be so much smaller,
- 23:35Speaker 2: so like it's there isn't going to be like yeah exactly,
- 23:38Speaker 2: So it's kind of like, I mean, it'd be a
- 23:40Speaker 2: great tournament to kind of get along too, if you could.
- 23:43Speaker 2: It's a great, great report, I know, a fantastic report.
- 23:46Speaker 1: We'll see if we can find every city, if we'll
- 23:49Speaker 1: find someone we know and then get them to go along.
- 23:52Speaker 2: Oh, Mike's men on the ground, men and women on
- 23:55Speaker 2: the ground. He needs anyone on the ground, please someone.
- 23:59Speaker 2: I mean talking about the I guess if there is
- 24:01Speaker 2: a negative, it's the scheduling and I guess we'll talk
- 24:04Speaker 2: more about the women's row later and the women's results later.
- 24:06Speaker 2: But like literally the final was on the day that
- 24:09Speaker 2: Cincinnati started. Yeah, so like I mean, i I've thought
- 24:15Speaker 2: this a lot. But it's like the scheduling of being
- 24:17Speaker 2: a professional tennis player must be so stressful. I know
- 24:20Speaker 2: you would have someone doing it, but how you would
- 24:22Speaker 2: ever get into a normal routine, you know, like I
- 24:24Speaker 2: like to get up and do a bit of exercise, Yeah,
- 24:27Speaker 2: make a coffee and try to do the same thing
- 24:28Speaker 2: every day. But how could you possibly do it as
- 24:30Speaker 2: a tennis player.
- 24:31Speaker 1: I don't know. And the travel would kill you. I mean,
- 24:34Speaker 1: I think there was that recent tweet from Sitzapaz who said,
- 24:38Speaker 1: you know, being a professional tennis player is ninety percent
- 24:41Speaker 1: airports and ten percent tennis, and like that were just
- 24:44Speaker 1: like getting I mean, is Shelton playing in Cincinnati? I'm
- 24:48Speaker 1: not even sure, but like the getting from.
- 24:51Speaker 2: A Fronach she and she played the second her first
- 24:54Speaker 2: round the day after the final.
- 24:56Speaker 1: That's crazy, It's insanity. Yeah, and from experience, so I
- 25:00Speaker 1: know now Shelton is okay.
- 25:07Speaker 2: So as we see the US Open trees done.
- 25:11Speaker 1: Well, that's got to be exhaustion, right.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Well, you can't get off a plane and then like
- 25:15Speaker 2: your body would be like so.
- 25:18Speaker 1: I mean, imagine how you felt after two hours of yeah, exactly.
- 25:22Speaker 1: There was like maybe two rallies the whole.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Totally, and like credit wheres credits due? Like obviously, you
- 25:30Speaker 2: know Pedel is you know a bit more physically, you know,
- 25:34Speaker 2: you know, you exert yourself.
- 25:35Speaker 1: A bit more, let's be real.
- 25:36Speaker 2: But I'm also not playing with the pressure of being
- 25:38Speaker 2: a you know, a world ranked tennis player. So I'll
- 25:41Speaker 2: give credit with credits to there as well. So I mean,
- 25:43Speaker 2: I don't know how.
- 25:45Speaker 1: You couldn't even go to a ten minute spot at
- 25:47Speaker 1: a comedy club that night, Like imagine she play another
- 25:51Speaker 1: one thousand event two days after winning the final.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Well, it's like that great the Great? Is it the
- 25:56Speaker 2: start of the Andre Agacy autobiography or maybe it's one
- 26:00Speaker 2: of the early chapters. He's just laying on the floor
- 26:02Speaker 2: and start he can't to come on quarter zone him
- 26:06Speaker 2: to like just shock his body back to life so
- 26:08Speaker 2: we can go and play like that is just that's
- 26:12Speaker 2: no life worth living. And then if you're in airport's
- 26:14Speaker 2: a lot. It really does highlight how much of how
- 26:17Speaker 2: these are competitive psychopaths we're dealing with these players, true,
- 26:20Speaker 2: but is.
- 26:21Speaker 1: It the tournament's being greedy because they're like, we want
- 26:24Speaker 1: the technical sales for more than seven days, and we
- 26:27Speaker 1: want the broadcasting to go.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Well, I guess it's like it's actually, that's a really
- 26:32Speaker 2: good question, because there is a world where I guess
- 26:35Speaker 2: you could condense the schedule so you then have more
- 26:39Speaker 2: of the top players all playing at the same places
- 26:42Speaker 2: and kind of competing against each other all but instead,
- 26:44Speaker 2: I guess you're right. The more people want to have
- 26:45Speaker 2: more tournaments, they want to spread the sponsorships around. So
- 26:48Speaker 2: then when you spread up, people have more choice of
- 26:50Speaker 2: where they go, and then you end up with kind
- 26:51Speaker 2: of weaker fields as well, because people are picking and
- 26:54Speaker 2: choosing what works best for them. Yeah, Whereas if you
- 26:58Speaker 2: had a more limited schedule, it would be like, you know,
- 27:01Speaker 2: like the no one in the NFL is like Patrick
- 27:04Speaker 2: Mahons isn't like, oh, I'll just play round thirteen and
- 27:07Speaker 2: they'll play round nine because that's it's me better. It's like, no,
- 27:10Speaker 2: you gotta play every game because these are the games.
- 27:12Speaker 1: These are the games. Yeah, yeah, obviously you know they
- 27:15Speaker 1: only play what sixteen.
- 27:16Speaker 2: So totally, so it is different. But if you condensed
- 27:18Speaker 2: it slightly instead of having like you know, especially in
- 27:20Speaker 2: the lead up to Grand Slams, when they're just like
- 27:22Speaker 2: overlapping tournaments warm up tournaments on the way through.
- 27:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean full contact sports should have more limited.
- 27:30Speaker 2: Seasons obviously, yes, But my point is, if we're looking
- 27:34Speaker 2: at the scheduling.
- 27:35Speaker 1: But maybe one of these tennis players gets nudged with
- 27:38Speaker 1: the car because they're looking at their phone, and then
- 27:41Speaker 1: they can take the next tournament.
- 27:42Speaker 2: It would be Sabolanka for sure.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Because the nudge, you know, exceeded the maximum nudge with
- 27:47Speaker 1: too much of a nudge. Yeah, but Osaka's taken Cincinnati
- 27:51Speaker 1: off citing exhaustion after playing great in DC and then Toronto,
- 27:56Speaker 1: So I mean you can just go, ah, I'm too tired.
- 27:59Speaker 1: You can.
- 28:00Speaker 2: But also everyone seemingly is injured, like everyone's carrying injuries.
- 28:03Speaker 2: It's like maybe there's just too much tennis going on.
- 28:05Speaker 1: This point of the season.
- 28:07Speaker 2: People are just dropping like flawed.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Pretty wrecked dude. And this is what I love about
- 28:11Speaker 1: seeing Shelton come into this form and then just dominate
- 28:15Speaker 1: and you know, not dropping a set all the way
- 28:18Speaker 1: through Montreal. He backed it up. He's the first player
- 28:22Speaker 1: to win the Canada Open and consecutive years since Na
- 28:26Speaker 1: Doll in twenty nineteen and not dropping a set. Djokovic
- 28:30Speaker 1: did that in twenty sixteen and the male player before that.
- 28:33Speaker 1: If you get this right, I will be very proud
- 28:37Speaker 1: of you. The nineteen ninety eight who did that in
- 28:40Speaker 1: nineteen ninety eight.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Didn't drop a set in nineteen ninety eight. Yeah, Sampras,
- 28:45Speaker 2: no Agacye. You know, Errol pat Raft, Paddi Bulls. Oh
- 28:57Speaker 2: that's a god. That's good trivia, right, Yeah, that is good.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Do you like then going? I mean leaving Canada. I
- 29:02Speaker 2: know we've still got Cincinnati to get through.
- 29:04Speaker 1: I mean I want to know if Sinner is playing.
- 29:08Speaker 1: I mean Alcoraz I think, you know, hasn't played in
- 29:11Speaker 1: so long that it's I don't see him as a
- 29:13Speaker 1: really a threat if he does show up.
- 29:16Speaker 2: He's an ex tennis player at this point.
- 29:18Speaker 1: He's a guy that you spoke sad man. I miss
- 29:20Speaker 1: him so much. And then I mean, I love that
- 29:23Speaker 1: Hodaar is playing amazing. You know, we'll get into some
- 29:28Speaker 1: Hodar controversy on the next episode. But for American men, yeah,
- 29:33Speaker 1: Shelton and but Vera, like I said, his mouth is
- 29:38Speaker 1: watering and he's you know.
- 29:40Speaker 2: It's go time for him. He must be looking at
- 29:42Speaker 2: this as like this is a window in your career
- 29:45Speaker 2: where it's like, I don't know. It's almost like someone
- 29:48Speaker 2: above is like, hey, I've just opened the door, you
- 29:50Speaker 2: just have to walk through it. I've taken out the
- 29:53Speaker 2: kind of real people that are going to call you
- 29:55Speaker 2: play if you don't win. This is on you. Now.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Are you saying he's a Tanya Harding? I love her?
- 30:01Speaker 1: I love that.
- 30:02Speaker 2: If you're you can use you use Tonya Harding so often,
- 30:07Speaker 2: which I like is a reference. Yeah, but you could, yes,
- 30:09Speaker 2: I would say so yes.
- 30:10Speaker 1: But you're saying God is his Jeff Galuley.
- 30:17Speaker 2: Yes, definitely, definitely, which is going to be harder to
- 30:19Speaker 2: prosecute when they get to the bottom of it. I mean,
- 30:23Speaker 2: I'm being the big man on the stead.
- 30:24Speaker 1: You're not hearing a Jeff Galuley reference on any other podcast.
- 30:28Speaker 2: And if you are, yeah, God, it's not it's not
- 30:30Speaker 2: going to be done with the same kind of swagger
- 30:32Speaker 2: and delivery, all consistency.
- 30:34Speaker 1: That's the other thing true true.
- 30:36Speaker 2: If we could go with fifty episodes, surely it's like in.
- 30:39Speaker 1: Ten no do I bring it up all the time.
- 30:42Speaker 2: I've done three episodes where you've mentioned Tonya Harding.
- 30:44Speaker 1: I love it is a fantastic appreciate it. Great film.
- 30:48Speaker 2: I loved it sort at the cinema. Yeah, so I
- 30:51Speaker 2: gets fair if he's looking good. And then on the
- 30:54Speaker 2: women's side of the draw.
- 30:56Speaker 1: In Canada, yeah, are going into the US?
- 30:59Speaker 2: Well, I gets. I mean you could obviously.
- 31:01Speaker 1: There's one bleeds into the other totally. Of course. I
- 31:04Speaker 1: think Osaka, you know, she's taken Cincinnati off. I think
- 31:07Speaker 1: that's a good move and she's playing awesome. I think
- 31:13Speaker 1: she just kind of lost focus and that loss to Rebeccaa.
- 31:17Speaker 1: I really thought Osaka was gonna win that match. It
- 31:20Speaker 1: was awesome, like it was a great match to watch,
- 31:22Speaker 1: but Rebeccaa, you know, just kind of held her nerve
- 31:25Speaker 1: a little more in that last set and got through it.
- 31:28Speaker 1: And then obviously Rebecca made it through to the final
- 31:32Speaker 1: where she lost to Ega Chavon Tech.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Which is a good story.
- 31:37Speaker 1: Yeah, that's exciting. It is exciting because Ega it looks
- 31:41Speaker 1: like twenty twenty two Ego where she's dominating. The movement
- 31:46Speaker 1: is amazing, just like the footwork. She's just unreal to
- 31:49Speaker 1: watch when she's playing like that, and.
- 31:51Speaker 2: A baseball cap winning female professional player, that's what I
- 31:54Speaker 2: want to see. You love that, well, I'm just done.
- 31:56Speaker 2: I don't like the visors. Everyone's wearing visors. Will look
- 31:59Speaker 2: at the Hassler back. Yeah, I see a cap in
- 32:02Speaker 2: the on the women's circuit. It's exhilarating, sick, it's so good,
- 32:06Speaker 2: it's so good.
- 32:07Speaker 1: I love seeing. I mean, I like the Sam Stowzer
- 32:10Speaker 1: style with the speed dealers.
- 32:13Speaker 2: Speed dealer, so I mean that is yeah, that's that's
- 32:15Speaker 2: top not Yeah.
- 32:15Speaker 1: Yeah, come on that with a hat.
- 32:17Speaker 2: Because I do like I mean, and rebeccaied, she's got
- 32:20Speaker 2: the vis It's a very like. Don't get me wrong,
- 32:22Speaker 2: great kit always always looks great. But I've just it
- 32:25Speaker 2: does seem very generic in the world of female tennis.
- 32:29Speaker 2: I want to see something different, and I feel like
- 32:31Speaker 2: the cap at the moment is nice.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Yeah, well, the backwards cap.
- 32:35Speaker 2: And the you don't see that very often in the
- 32:37Speaker 2: female tennis. Well occasional Hewood style like cap backwards.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Yeah, occasionally you see it. I'm trying to think, who's
- 32:45Speaker 1: the most famous player, but I occasionally you see a
- 32:49Speaker 1: backwards rule Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, so uh Eagash Vontek
- 32:54Speaker 1: taking it out six two sixty three. Look, I think
- 32:56Speaker 1: Rebeccaena was a little cooked after playing Osaka and Cocoa
- 33:01Speaker 1: Golf and then also her match the night before again
- 33:05Speaker 1: a scheduling problem went to one am and then you
- 33:08Speaker 1: got to back up range lace and then playing a
- 33:10Speaker 1: final the next day.
- 33:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's very hard to She did look
- 33:13Speaker 2: good in parts of the of the final, but yeah,
- 33:16Speaker 2: I think you're right. I think she just got run
- 33:18Speaker 2: over by Eger, but he looked good as well.
- 33:21Speaker 1: Her reaction at the end of that it was like
- 33:23Speaker 1: a cathartic just overflow of emotion. Yeah, because I mean,
- 33:28Speaker 1: being as famous as she is in Poland and dealing
- 33:31Speaker 1: with the Polish press who are like doubting her mental stability,
- 33:34Speaker 1: and there was so much going on there. So her
- 33:37Speaker 1: win was like a big kind of f you to
- 33:40Speaker 1: anyone who's.
- 33:41Speaker 2: A great article in The Guardian about the Polish press,
- 33:45Speaker 2: and like how kind of like she'd had to have
- 33:47Speaker 2: this like sports psychologist now to like kind of get
- 33:49Speaker 2: her to deal with it, because like she couldn't go
- 33:52Speaker 2: go anywhere, and even if she's in Miami, the Polish
- 33:54Speaker 2: press are following her around.
- 33:56Speaker 1: And it's like all old Polish men that are like
- 33:59Speaker 1: kind of rude.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Well, she said, and she speaks to them as well.
- 34:02Speaker 2: She's like, hey, has it and she's trying to be
- 34:03Speaker 2: it must be something cultural in Poland where she's like
- 34:06Speaker 2: very polite to them as well, and she's like, oh,
- 34:08Speaker 2: could you please not follow me man, and the thing
- 34:12Speaker 2: is like it's insane.
- 34:13Speaker 1: She was also apparently reading internet comments, which is crazy
- 34:18Speaker 1: at that level, Like I try not to read.
- 34:21Speaker 2: I read the ones about you. Yeah, yeah, you write
- 34:23Speaker 2: the ones. Yeah, I write a lot of them, might
- 34:25Speaker 2: say them. I workshop them with other people and we
- 34:27Speaker 2: fire them out.
- 34:28Speaker 1: She as apparently I don't know at that level again,
- 34:32Speaker 1: reading the comments as wild, Like I read one of
- 34:34Speaker 1: our comments when we want the video about the clip
- 34:37Speaker 1: with Cam Norri and saying he's yelling la playing fees
- 34:42Speaker 1: yeah French player, and then the comments are like these
- 34:44Speaker 1: guys have never watched a tennis match in their life.
- 34:46Speaker 1: Cameron norriy yells all as he's been doing it for years,
- 34:49Speaker 1: but we said he yelled at playing the French player,
- 34:53Speaker 1: which is exactly what's happened.
- 34:55Speaker 2: Yeah, people just want to say mean things, and I
- 34:57Speaker 2: get it. It is fun to say mean things, yeah,
- 35:00Speaker 2: but I think there's something different about like because paparazzi
- 35:03Speaker 2: is like old school. It's like old school fame, because
- 35:07Speaker 2: what are they following around to get a picture to
- 35:08Speaker 2: then send to like media outlets, which kind of boggles
- 35:13Speaker 2: the mind to me that like, like she's that famous
- 35:16Speaker 2: that then what they send it to a Polish media
- 35:18Speaker 2: outlet and then they print it and everyone's like, oh
- 35:21Speaker 2: the news today.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Do you know what I mean?
- 35:23Speaker 2: Like even who's the most famous Australian athlete, Like I
- 35:27Speaker 2: don't know worldwide?
- 35:29Speaker 1: Donald Bradman, Donald?
- 35:31Speaker 2: Okay, okay, Well if you've got a photo of Donald
- 35:32Speaker 2: Bradman now it is going to sell for a lot
- 35:35Speaker 2: of money. I think it's going to sell for a
- 35:37Speaker 2: lot of money. But do you know what I mean?
- 35:39Speaker 2: Like I do find it kind of like obviously, I mean,
- 35:42Speaker 2: maybe it's a country not with you know, the history
- 35:44Speaker 2: of like great international sports stars as well, but like
- 35:46Speaker 2: it sounds like her life has been pretty miserable, and
- 35:49Speaker 2: I think it also is like was she because a
- 35:52Speaker 2: lot of people were also being like she's cooked, she's
- 35:54Speaker 2: done or whatever, but maybe she was just having a
- 35:58Speaker 2: hard time a little slug and then this media pressure
- 36:01Speaker 2: kind of like blew it out of out of propolis.
- 36:04Speaker 5: Of course, I want to dedicate this title to everyone
- 36:08Speaker 5: who is dealing with un for judgment and hate. Just
- 36:12Speaker 5: keep pushing, keep growing, keep focusing on yourself because you
- 36:15Speaker 5: know what's the best for you and always.
- 36:20Speaker 1: And then if you are, i mean just exalted in
- 36:23Speaker 1: a country and you're one of the most famous people there,
- 36:25Speaker 1: the pressure, of course gets to you. But she must
- 36:28Speaker 1: love being out of Poland and then not being able
- 36:32Speaker 1: to walk around. But they're still following her around. Oh,
- 36:34Speaker 1: I know, I know, it's it's it's yeah, it's I'll
- 36:37Speaker 1: start a kickstarter for Iaga Schwanta. Well that makes you happy.
- 36:40Speaker 2: I'd love you only have kicks out of this for
- 36:42Speaker 2: female tennis and.
- 36:45Speaker 1: The girlfriends of male tennis players.
- 36:48Speaker 2: He's such an amazing guy, such an amazing guy.
- 36:52Speaker 1: Yeah. So I love seeing Ega in form, especially this
- 36:55Speaker 1: late in the season. And uh, you know, I think
- 36:58Speaker 1: she makes a deep run at the US I think,
- 37:01Speaker 1: you know, the clear pick for US for the US
- 37:04Speaker 1: Open on the women's side. Even a few weeks ago,
- 37:07Speaker 1: we were still seeing Sabolenca. But has that changed?
- 37:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't like it now. And I think the
- 37:12Speaker 2: Time magazine cover that came out, she seems she seems
- 37:17Speaker 2: distant from from tennis right now. Yeah, I don't know,
- 37:20Speaker 2: they just seem to be like like in Canada.
- 37:23Speaker 1: There, yeah, there she is.
- 37:24Speaker 2: Look at that. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's
- 37:27Speaker 2: I'm liking what it's doing. I think it's great for
- 37:29Speaker 2: like at least it's interesting. And there's they're not doing
- 37:32Speaker 2: a cover of Verev, you know, or.
- 37:37Speaker 1: Why would he be on the cover of I don't.
- 37:40Speaker 2: Know, like his Golden Opportunity, the Tanya Harding style incident
- 37:44Speaker 2: he's going to cause. But like news Week, like I
- 37:47Speaker 2: just think, like in the women's draw you started, you've
- 37:50Speaker 2: seen some names kind of rise to the top at
- 37:52Speaker 2: the right time, so there's a bit of excitement happening.
- 37:55Speaker 2: And Sablanca even doing that is kind of interesting. But
- 37:58Speaker 2: I would say, no, I was like liking before, but
- 38:00Speaker 2: maybe maybe we're backing up. What about Coco. I know
- 38:04Speaker 2: she hasn't won this year, Coco, it shouldn't have been
- 38:08Speaker 2: like coming into US Open as well.
- 38:09Speaker 1: Yeah, look, as long as her serve is consistent, which
- 38:15Speaker 1: is tough with Coco, but yeah, I think it has
- 38:17Speaker 1: been more consistent lately. And then I was surprised she'd
- 38:20Speaker 1: lost that match to Rebecca. Maybe it was the lateness
- 38:23Speaker 1: of it or again just exhaustion this time of the season.
- 38:26Speaker 1: But Coco's won the US before, and obviously, you.
- 38:29Speaker 2: Know, being playing in New York, totally an.
- 38:32Speaker 1: American player, and New York crowds behind it having been there,
- 38:38Speaker 1: a lot go absolutely nuts when there's an American player. Yeah,
- 38:41Speaker 1: in a slightly obnoxious way. Who would have thought New.
- 38:44Speaker 2: York American crowd. I've heard this about New York crowd.
- 38:49Speaker 1: Yeah. So that's it for the Canadian Open twenty twenty six.
- 38:52Speaker 1: Ben Shelton and IgA Shavontek the winners. Roger Federal will
- 38:56Speaker 1: be happy because they're both sponsored by his shoe company On.
- 39:01Speaker 2: Oh, well, that's a feel good story.
- 39:02Speaker 1: That's great. You should start a Kickstarter for Roger. Roger.
- 39:07Speaker 2: Yeah, I want him to be happy. That's all I
- 39:09Speaker 2: really care about in this world, is like.
- 39:11Speaker 1: I mean, I love that.
- 39:13Speaker 2: Yeah, Roger happy is I think everyone wants that for him.
- 39:17Speaker 1: I hope.
- 39:18Speaker 2: I don't even think he needs a shoe brand. He
- 39:20Speaker 2: surely has got enough money. He can just be a
- 39:22Speaker 2: happy guy.
- 39:23Speaker 1: It's never enough for this.
- 39:24Speaker 2: It's actually not, isn't it, Because they have a blessed life,
- 39:27Speaker 2: these these Once you win a few slams and we
- 39:30Speaker 2: saw the joy of it getting to interview a bunch
- 39:32Speaker 2: during the Australian Open. They come out and they play
- 39:33Speaker 2: these like kind of just I don't know what even
- 39:36Speaker 2: what you call them, like exhibition matches. They're fantastic. All
- 39:40Speaker 2: these greats are all having a laugh. What a life.
- 39:43Speaker 2: This is just hanging out. You do the hard work
- 39:47Speaker 2: and then you just coast from there on in anyway,
- 39:50Speaker 2: speaking of coasting, it's time for my segment. All right,
- 39:58Speaker 2: so here it is everyone's favorite segment, Approaching the neck
- 40:01Speaker 2: Net aka Grand Sam. Yes, little bits and pieces I've
- 40:06Speaker 2: seen floating around in the tennis world. I'm watching every
- 40:10Speaker 2: match that I can. I'm deep in that Reddit forum
- 40:12Speaker 2: on tennis.
- 40:12Speaker 1: And not according to the people who comment mean things on.
- 40:16Speaker 2: The Austa Well where they know they don't. I've got
- 40:20Speaker 2: my back.
- 40:21Speaker 1: If someone like accuses me of not watching tennis, it's like, no,
- 40:24Speaker 1: it's a problem. I watch too much tennis.
- 40:27Speaker 2: It's actually quite an offensive thing to say to you,
- 40:28Speaker 2: because you've given your life for no reason. This is
- 40:31Speaker 2: the first time, Yeah, your whole like dedication to tennis
- 40:35Speaker 2: in your life is paid off because now you have
- 40:36Speaker 2: a job where you get to talk about tennis. But
- 40:39Speaker 2: if people say you don't know it, then it's like,
- 40:40Speaker 2: why are you not sleeping so much of your life
- 40:43Speaker 2: getting up to watch tennis?
- 40:45Speaker 1: Why are you not raising your child? Yeah?
- 40:47Speaker 2: Why have so many relationships failed for you not to
- 40:52Speaker 2: know anything about tennis?
- 40:53Speaker 1: So I could watch you know, challengers that are happening
- 40:56Speaker 1: in Austria.
- 40:57Speaker 2: Witch. Oh wow, it's like you're insight the segment right now.
- 41:01Speaker 2: So Joel Schwartzelo, no, wait, can you say his name
- 41:05Speaker 2: for me here, Mike Schwartz.
- 41:06Speaker 7: I would say it's Joel Schwartzler, Schwartzlur. Joel schwartz Slur,
- 41:13Speaker 7: swartch slur, Schwartzler, Schwartzler, Schwartzler, Schwartzlur. Like that Swartzler, Schwartzler, Schwartzler.
- 41:22Speaker 7: That sound good, sortla.
- 41:25Speaker 1: Swartzler.
- 41:26Speaker 2: So Australian clip this for a real Schorchler Schwarzler. Now
- 41:31Speaker 2: he's playing in the challenger tournament. He's from Austria. Now
- 41:37Speaker 2: he got an altercation with the chair ump. Now you
- 41:40Speaker 2: watch these challenger tournaments, but I'm not sure if everyone does.
- 41:43Speaker 2: But there's not like there's not the gravitas that comes
- 41:45Speaker 2: with you know, maybe playing in a grand slam on
- 41:48Speaker 2: center cord or something. It's kind of you're out in
- 41:50Speaker 2: the open and it's kind of just you versus the world.
- 41:53Speaker 2: He gets into an argument with the chair ump and
- 41:56Speaker 2: he finds a way, I guess to insult both of them,
- 41:58Speaker 2: which is kind of kind of nice. Let's let's watch.
- 42:01Speaker 1: It, not just on his side. Incredible.
- 42:05Speaker 3: So if you had a shot clock on court, you
- 42:06Speaker 3: would have seen that there were not double zeros anytime there.
- 42:10Speaker 1: He needs to be ready, and you know.
- 42:12Speaker 2: For me, he was playing at a reasonable past.
- 42:15Speaker 1: Is the reason why you're a challenger, and there's a
- 42:18Speaker 1: reason why I'm playing.
- 42:19Speaker 2: On I mean, all time so good. It is kind
- 42:26Speaker 2: of like me arguing with my girlfriends, like I launch
- 42:30Speaker 2: into like some kind of criticism and as I'm saying it,
- 42:34Speaker 2: I realize that's too mean, and I'm like, I'm gonna
- 42:36Speaker 2: have to take myself down here as well.
- 42:38Speaker 1: Totally that's the only way. I mean, it's a good move.
- 42:43Speaker 2: The reason why you don't remember to get the grocery
- 42:45Speaker 2: is because I didn't write the list that we both
- 42:47Speaker 2: need to get better as a group.
- 42:50Speaker 1: It rules, man, because yeah, he's he knows the comeback
- 42:54Speaker 1: is just he's setting up the insult back at him,
- 42:57Speaker 1: and there's a reason you're a ref for you at
- 43:00Speaker 1: the Challenger And then knowing he goes, well, there's a
- 43:03Speaker 1: reason you're playing it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, totally. Yeah, we
- 43:05Speaker 1: are both shit. Yeah, it is amazing.
- 43:07Speaker 2: It's so good. It's like stabbing someone and then before
- 43:09Speaker 2: you get the chance for them to start, you just
- 43:11Speaker 2: take the knife and go, I'll just I'll make it.
- 43:13Speaker 2: I'll just do it myself.
- 43:14Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 43:14Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I feel bad about that.
- 43:15Speaker 2: Look ye, I guess it's like in his mind he's
- 43:19Speaker 2: like maybe he's like, I'll get out of the Challenger
- 43:21Speaker 2: circu one day.
- 43:22Speaker 1: Yeah, but you're here forever. You're here forever. You're not
- 43:25Speaker 1: going to make it past. It's dude, like, if I'm
- 43:27Speaker 1: bombing at an open mic, I'm like, you know, i
- 43:29Speaker 1: turn on the crowd, but I'm like, oh no, you're
- 43:31Speaker 1: here and I'm here because we're bullshit.
- 43:34Speaker 2: It reminds me of when I've done stand up on
- 43:37Speaker 2: cruise ships. Yeah, and gone quite badly and kind of
- 43:39Speaker 2: taking it out and being like, look are you guys
- 43:42Speaker 2: all at the buffet eating? It's like, you know, and
- 43:44Speaker 2: then I'm realizing I'm also dishing my plate up from
- 43:46Speaker 2: the buffett. Of course, we're all in it together. We're
- 43:49Speaker 2: all on the Challenger Tour.
- 43:52Speaker 1: Life is a Challenger tour.
- 43:54Speaker 2: Oh god, I don't want to ride it all, not
- 43:56Speaker 2: long at all?
- 43:58Speaker 3: All.
- 43:58Speaker 2: Right now, Flavio called belly Koboli. Damn it called Boli Koboli.
- 44:06Speaker 2: Flavio Koboli. Now what's he doing here? Like? Is this
- 44:09Speaker 2: an American tradition? I've never seen have you seen this clip?
- 44:12Speaker 1: I've seen what happens, but it's like, I don't understand
- 44:16Speaker 1: what's going on.
- 44:17Speaker 2: So it's that a major league soccer game. What we
- 44:19Speaker 2: are seeing here is Flavio Koboli is pulling a sword
- 44:22Speaker 2: out of I guess what is. It's kind of like
- 44:25Speaker 2: a hot pile of stone, if that makes sense. There's
- 44:27Speaker 2: smoldering stone and rubble and the sword is seemingly stuck
- 44:33Speaker 2: in there and he just pulled it out.
- 44:36Speaker 1: He's a chosen one.
- 44:36Speaker 2: He's a chosen one. Yeah. And then people are like
- 44:39Speaker 2: cheering for this, are they?
- 44:41Speaker 1: Yeah? So I kind of like then in the stone
- 44:44Speaker 1: style ex caliber.
- 44:46Speaker 2: I think it's a message about teen pregnancy. Always pull out.
- 44:49Speaker 2: That's the main thing I'm running from that. Yeah, do
- 44:52Speaker 2: you think that's what it is? Is there some kind
- 44:54Speaker 2: of partnership going on between.
- 44:55Speaker 1: The don't sleep with teenagers? Right? Okay the first place? Yeah? Right? Yeah.
- 45:01Speaker 2: My rule is like, my rule is like, if there's
- 45:09Speaker 2: we've quit that one.
- 45:11Speaker 1: Errol, I want to see you crawl out of this. No.
- 45:15Speaker 2: But do you think his manager was like, hey, do
- 45:18Speaker 2: you want to come hold a sword today?
- 45:20Speaker 1: And would anyone in Cincinnati know who the hell? I
- 45:23Speaker 1: don't think so.
- 45:24Speaker 2: Yeah, It's not like it's not a big name, but
- 45:27Speaker 2: these things do happen. Sometimes You'll be at the football
- 45:30Speaker 2: and they'll be like, hey, to to kick a ball
- 45:33Speaker 2: at halftime? Is the one hundred and forty eighth ranked
- 45:36Speaker 2: golfer or something? And You're like, what the hell to
- 45:39Speaker 2: celebrate like some pro am or so? Do you know
- 45:42Speaker 2: what I mean? It's like the crossover levels are amazing sometimes.
- 45:45Speaker 1: Yet I couldn't even get a playing paddle in Sydney.
- 45:49Speaker 1: Is the hundred's Mike Goldstein?
- 45:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I know I'm going to take my sword and
- 45:53Speaker 2: go there next year, But why are they doing ex caliber?
- 45:56Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 45:57Speaker 2: That's why I thought you might know it's some kind
- 45:59Speaker 2: of tradition. I think it must be something to do
- 46:00Speaker 2: with the Major League Soccer.
- 46:01Speaker 1: Clubs, the MLS. The yes, Cincinnati FC Cincinnati, so they've
- 46:06Speaker 1: gone with the football club Cincinnati, so they I can't
- 46:10Speaker 1: see they're called like the Nights or anything.
- 46:13Speaker 2: So I, oh, do you know what's a better scenario
- 46:17Speaker 2: here that Flavio was like, I'll come out if I
- 46:20Speaker 2: can bring my sword. Yeah, and they were like really
- 46:23Speaker 2: and he's like that's the only way I'll do it.
- 46:25Speaker 2: And he's like, I've got a sword that I carry around.
- 46:28Speaker 1: Good for it.
- 46:29Speaker 2: Some guys are big sword guys. Oh yeah, I remember going.
- 46:31Speaker 1: To They're also the same guys that own reptiles.
- 46:34Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah yeah, and like have a deep collection
- 46:36Speaker 2: of Japanese anime, like it's all connected at once.
- 46:39Speaker 1: Yes, oh bladesman blades.
- 46:46Speaker 2: I went to Ray Badan's brother's house once and he
- 46:48Speaker 2: had a sword just in the corner. It's out, so
- 46:52Speaker 2: you walk in the first thing you see is a sword.
- 46:54Speaker 1: Well that's a self defense thing. Anyone breaks in, you're
- 46:57Speaker 1: gonna go full Highlander on him. A sword is awesome.
- 47:01Speaker 1: Maybe the FC Cincinnati convinced Flavia that the FC stands
- 47:06Speaker 1: for a Flavio Kabli.
- 47:07Speaker 2: Oh, that's pretty impressive. Yeah, that's I mean, that's marketing
- 47:10Speaker 2: crossover stuff right there.
- 47:12Speaker 1: It's not bad.
- 47:12Speaker 2: Moving on now this, I don't have any footage of this,
- 47:15Speaker 2: but this is a This is quite a fascinating story.
- 47:18Speaker 2: Terrence at Man, who we kind of a big fan
- 47:20Speaker 2: of here at this.
- 47:21Speaker 1: We love that man.
- 47:22Speaker 2: We're a big fan. We like kind of what he's about.
- 47:25Speaker 1: No no, no, no no no no no no no.
- 47:26Speaker 2: No a man. I mean, we like we like some
- 47:31Speaker 2: of his theories, we like some of the things he's saying.
- 47:34Speaker 2: We like how he's not he's not tennis focus like
- 47:37Speaker 2: some of these single minded people out there on the tour.
- 47:40Speaker 1: He's an out of the box thinker.
- 47:42Speaker 2: He is an out of the box thinker. He's he's
- 47:44Speaker 2: also scared at the moment because he's had a very strange,
- 47:47Speaker 2: maybe somewhat scary incident where a fan has given him
- 47:50Speaker 2: a bag, which I assume happens if you're a professional
- 47:52Speaker 2: tennis player. People are leaving your goodies all the time.
- 47:54Speaker 2: But someone has put an air tag in it, which
- 47:57Speaker 2: is I'm going to say illegal. I don't think you're
- 48:00Speaker 2: allowed to do it. He takes the bag and then
- 48:02Speaker 2: the fan can track him and they keep turning up
- 48:05Speaker 2: at his hotel. Now I shouldn't laugh because this is
- 48:08Speaker 2: I guess there's no the word for it, stalking and stalking.
- 48:11Speaker 1: But this is also a guy who's you know, likes
- 48:14Speaker 1: a conspiracy, loves you know, like he's.
- 48:17Speaker 2: Got some crazy theories about it.
- 48:19Speaker 1: And then all of a sudden you're getting tracked.
- 48:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it's almost like that's not good. Did someone maybe
- 48:24Speaker 2: go to public exposing the truth.
- 48:27Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, just don't give him an air attag,
- 48:29Speaker 1: do it like the government does and make us take vaccination?
- 48:32Speaker 1: Is that microchip exactly?
- 48:35Speaker 2: Which is yeah, what they've done. But he strikes me
- 48:37Speaker 2: as someone that didn't get I don't know, but it is,
- 48:41Speaker 2: it is. I think you're it's an interesting coincidence that
- 48:43Speaker 2: it is just him that this happens too. Yeah, And
- 48:46Speaker 2: I mean, this is what happens with the freethinkers. They
- 48:48Speaker 2: kind of get kind of tracked down, and it'll be
- 48:51Speaker 2: interesting to see what happens down the line. Maybe I'll
- 48:54Speaker 2: have more stuff coming out. Yeah, and he's been trying
- 48:57Speaker 2: to be silence.
- 48:58Speaker 1: If someone did this to you, would you be like,
- 48:59Speaker 1: that's kind of lattering. People want to know that. I
- 49:01Speaker 1: just go to, you know, get donuts.
- 49:04Speaker 2: I don't know. Jules has me on find my friends,
- 49:06Speaker 2: so she often I'll be like, I'm on my way
- 49:09Speaker 2: home and she's like, your phone says you're going in
- 49:11Speaker 2: the opposite direction.
- 49:12Speaker 1: You're at the pub again. Yeah, I don't know. I
- 49:15Speaker 1: would be I would be scared. I don't like it.
- 49:17Speaker 2: But also I'm not out there saying, you know, certain
- 49:20Speaker 2: things about the pyramids. I'm not talking about like former
- 49:23Speaker 2: civilizations that have kind of come and gone, or like
- 49:26Speaker 2: some kind of cover ups. I'm not in his world.
- 49:29Speaker 2: And for all we know, when you're a whistleblower, when
- 49:32Speaker 2: you have an IQ as high as him, you know,
- 49:34Speaker 2: knowledge is power. This is happening all the time.
- 49:36Speaker 1: We got to get him in here. I just want
- 49:38Speaker 1: to talk to the guy.
- 49:39Speaker 2: Oh, I would do like you know those Rogan podcasts
- 49:42Speaker 2: when they light up cigars and go for like four hours.
- 49:45Speaker 2: I feel like that's what we're.
- 49:46Speaker 1: Going to do. Let's do.
- 49:47Speaker 2: Yeah, let's start at the beginning the CIA.
- 49:51Speaker 1: What do you know, Let's get an air tag on
- 49:53Speaker 1: him and then you know we'll be able to contact him. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 49:58Speaker 2: You just see him sitting out in the front of
- 49:59Speaker 2: this podcast studio waiting for us. He's like, can we
- 50:02Speaker 2: go again?
- 50:02Speaker 1: Guys?
- 50:03Speaker 2: It is scary and I hope he's okay.
- 50:05Speaker 1: Then all right, anything else in grand Sam?
- 50:09Speaker 2: Uh, that's it? And uh, you know, I'll stay on
- 50:12Speaker 2: the forums, I'll stay on the on the on the
- 50:14Speaker 2: news website, I'll stay in the loop. I've don't have
- 50:16Speaker 2: any men on the ground. It's just me doing it
- 50:18Speaker 2: resources but I'm doing my best.
- 50:22Speaker 1: Yes. Ah, well, that was the Canadian Open recap and
- 50:27Speaker 1: wrap up, and then on the next part we're going
- 50:30Speaker 1: to be talking all things Cincinnati, another Master's one thousand event.
- 50:35Speaker 1: We're gonna be probably third or fourth round by the
- 50:38Speaker 1: time this.
- 50:39Speaker 2: It'll go to a yes, but we'll have a pretty
- 50:42Speaker 2: good idea of how the tournaments shaping up and kind
- 50:46Speaker 2: of what that is going to mean for the US Open.
- 50:48Speaker 1: I guess yes. The draw for the US Open will
- 50:50Speaker 1: be out in a couple of weeks, and then before
- 50:53Speaker 1: that they have the Winston Salem two fifty, which is
- 50:56Speaker 1: kind of the last shot for people.
- 50:58Speaker 2: God be insane if't squeeze another tournament in before the
- 51:02Speaker 2: US opened. So thank god.
- 51:03Speaker 1: Well, if you want one final tune up before the
- 51:06Speaker 1: big show, get in there.
- 51:07Speaker 2: For most players, they're going to get to a Grand
- 51:09Speaker 2: Slam and they'll be like, I can rest. Thank God,
- 51:12Speaker 2: I don't have to play a game every day.
- 51:16Speaker 1: That's it. We'll talk to you guys on the next one,
- 51:19Speaker 1: number fifty, big five. Oh there you go.
- 51:24Speaker 2: Sorry, Errol, that went probably longer than any of them.
