- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome back in good button rouge.
- 0:04Speaker 2: We forgot to change the name of the show. We
- 0:06Speaker 2: talk you forgetting.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Forgetting That's okay, yeah, good morning. If we ever want
- 0:15Speaker 1: to compete with the Law Firm, I feel like you
- 0:17Speaker 1: had to.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Be got to do something. We got to do something. Well,
- 0:19Speaker 2: you need to probably bring more energy.
- 0:21Speaker 3: You know, we don't get to go against like other
- 0:22Speaker 3: sports shows. You go against the Law Firm that's syndicated
- 0:25Speaker 3: across like the region, and.
- 0:27Speaker 2: We need to go against less. Maybe we need to
- 0:30Speaker 2: be less energetic because they're not very like they're pretty
- 0:33Speaker 2: monest like.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Do a whole show like your style.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. Welcome into sports.
- 0:40Speaker 3: We're back again. For whatever reason, I don't like it.
- 0:45Speaker 3: I'd rather just lose. I'd rather just lose. And you
- 0:50Speaker 3: know everybody everybody else won the awards.
- 0:53Speaker 2: I mean, this is what we do is in art form.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Can you even judge art?
- 0:57Speaker 4: No, it's really its own category.
- 1:00Speaker 2: What you said.
- 1:00Speaker 3: I was thinking about that the other day because somebody
- 1:03Speaker 3: hit me ups like, hey, what does the O TV ever?
- 1:05Speaker 3: I'm like, well, only one show gets nominated per station
- 1:08Speaker 3: for all these things, and and just we're not going
- 1:11Speaker 3: to be that we've come to grips without years ago.
- 1:14Speaker 1: The one year we got nominated we won is what
- 1:17Speaker 1: it is. Whatever. But you know what, we're kind of
- 1:20Speaker 1: our own category.
- 1:22Speaker 3: We're sports ish, we're sports adjacent, Yeah, which is what
- 1:27Speaker 3: the morning show should be. Because there's somebody, there's some
- 1:30Speaker 3: young whipper snapper in his car right now, it's headed
- 1:32Speaker 3: to work. Maybe it's an older whipper snapper and uh,
- 1:35Speaker 3: he's probably not very excited about work today, long.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Weekend, fourth of July.
- 1:39Speaker 3: It's fun, fun food, it's Monday, and we just want
- 1:44Speaker 3: that person to smile before they get a out of their.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Car and go to work.
- 1:47Speaker 2: We're talking about you. Just one time, everybody.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Just one smile before you go to work.
- 1:51Speaker 3: And maybe you're Monday, maybe just maybe it feels a
- 1:54Speaker 3: little bit better.
- 1:55Speaker 2: If we can make it just one little bit better.
- 1:58Speaker 2: We've done our jobs. So I said, it's in our for.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Him if you before you get out of the car.
- 2:01Speaker 3: For that one's an idiot. Yeah, that's right, he is.
- 2:04Speaker 2: So say we'll probably never gonna win anything because we
- 2:07Speaker 2: are at times huge idiots.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, it's true.
- 2:10Speaker 2: I mean, but we're also businessmen and fathers, so.
- 2:13Speaker 1: That we are that we are Derek that we are
- 2:20Speaker 1: also we are sports ish of sports reporting.
- 2:23Speaker 3: We throw it to our very sportsy video producer, Heta
- 2:27Speaker 3: because we all know about Greedy Williams, but there's gonna
- 2:31Speaker 3: be a new Greedy potentially in Baton Rouge.
- 2:33Speaker 4: Yeah, that's right, Carnell Greedy, James, Greedy James. This is
- 2:38Speaker 4: I mean that that's he may be a four star
- 2:40Speaker 4: in the rankings, and that's a five star name. Let's
- 2:43Speaker 4: call it like it is. Four star safety from Manfold, Texas.
- 2:48Speaker 4: I would say, out there in Matt's and neck.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Of the woods.
- 2:50Speaker 4: But believe it or not, I have no idea where
- 2:52Speaker 4: Manvill is in m A.
- 2:55Speaker 2: N V E. L.
- 2:56Speaker 4: Manvil.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Never heard of it. We're gonna look it up.
- 2:58Speaker 4: So he committed on Thursday about four pm. Of course
- 3:01Speaker 4: he did, which you know allows us to report on
- 3:03Speaker 4: it four days after, which seems like it always happens.
- 3:06Speaker 4: Six one, one hundred and seventy five pounds. He is
- 3:09Speaker 4: listed as a safety in the recruiting rankings, but there's
- 3:11Speaker 4: a lot of people that believe he's going to make
- 3:13Speaker 4: that transition to corner at LSU. We'll see if that
- 3:16Speaker 4: ultimately does happen. Fifteenth member of Lang Kiffin's twenty twenty
- 3:20Speaker 4: seven class, which now ranks eleventh nationally. I mean, I
- 3:23Speaker 4: think back to the last two weeks, it seems like
- 3:25Speaker 4: ten of those fifteen members have all committed within the
- 3:28Speaker 4: last two weeks. He's the second dB commit, joining three
- 3:31Speaker 4: star cornerback Marquez Davis.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Okay, it looks like Manville's just south of Houston there
- 3:39Speaker 2: you go near Parland, near Alvin Shuttle Devin.
- 3:43Speaker 3: I am very excited about this group of coaches and
- 3:50Speaker 3: what they're doing in high school recruiting because, like, defensively, obviously,
- 3:55Speaker 3: it's a lot of the same coaches that you had,
- 3:57Speaker 3: and we know Blake Baker and that staff over there
- 4:00Speaker 3: and what they've done. But for the coaches that come
- 4:03Speaker 3: over from Old Miss, they were so good in the
- 4:06Speaker 3: portal over the last couple of years and that's how
- 4:08Speaker 3: they built their team. And you're gonna be able to
- 4:12Speaker 3: do it at a place like Old Miss. I think
- 4:13Speaker 3: better through the portal than high school recruiting. Louisiana has
- 4:17Speaker 3: incredible advantages for LSU. We've said it, We've talked about it.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Everybody out there knows that you have a lot of
- 4:23Speaker 3: talent per capita the most of the National Football League,
- 4:26Speaker 3: and you are the biggest dog in the state. It's
- 4:28Speaker 3: not closed, there's no question. So you get to pick,
- 4:31Speaker 3: for the most part, any of that talent that you want. Sure,
- 4:34Speaker 3: you're gonna have guys that go to Texas every now
- 4:36Speaker 3: and again, go to A and M. Maybe they go
- 4:39Speaker 3: to Georgia. You're gonna lose some, you can't have them all,
- 4:41Speaker 3: but you're gonna get most. And this staff is embracing
- 4:46Speaker 3: high school recruiting, and I wasn't sure how that was
- 4:48Speaker 3: going to go. It was really the only kind of
- 4:50Speaker 3: question that had about this staff was you've done it
- 4:54Speaker 3: so successfully for so long one way, are you gonna
- 4:57Speaker 3: be able to do both? And they have And I
- 5:00Speaker 3: think that is a great sign for LSU and the
- 5:02Speaker 3: fact that Lane Kiffin and his staff that came over
- 5:05Speaker 3: from Ole Miss, they were embracing the advantages that you
- 5:08Speaker 3: have at LSU through high school while also having the
- 5:12Speaker 3: number one transfer portal class YEP.
- 5:14Speaker 1: That is a good blend of two really good things.
- 5:17Speaker 3: And if this continues, this is the LSU that we
- 5:21Speaker 3: thought could be possible with somebody like Lane Kiffin at
- 5:24Speaker 3: the helm.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, what's Lane's nickname the portal King. He's the
- 5:29Speaker 2: portal king. He wasn't known as the high school recruiting king,
- 5:35Speaker 2: but you certainly bring in somebody that has that reputation
- 5:38Speaker 2: with coach o Jeron, So they are they're really doing
- 5:41Speaker 2: everything that you expect Lane and his staff to do.
- 5:47Speaker 2: When you're paying what you are and you make the
- 5:49Speaker 2: moves that you've done and you've made the commitment to
- 5:52Speaker 2: football that LSU certainly has done, these are the moves
- 5:56Speaker 2: you expect because not only is he swinging for the
- 5:59Speaker 2: fences year, but they're also setting themselves up to be
- 6:02Speaker 2: really good in the future two, three, four years down
- 6:06Speaker 2: the road. We're looking at you know, we talked a
- 6:08Speaker 2: couple of weeks ago about offensive line commitments for like
- 6:11Speaker 2: twenty twenty eight. Yeah, they're not gonna play till twenty thirty,
- 6:15Speaker 2: twenty thirty one. Oh, this sounds so weird saying that
- 6:18Speaker 2: twenty thirty. Give me a second, but you just turned
- 6:24Speaker 2: forty one. Yeah, just turned forty one, I know. So
- 6:27Speaker 2: it's just one of those things that blank Kevin and
- 6:30Speaker 2: his staff keep just doing the right things, doing the
- 6:34Speaker 2: right things, setting themselves up for this year to be successful. Immediately,
- 6:38Speaker 2: but to also have that long term stability on their
- 6:41Speaker 2: roster management, so you know, maybe in three four years
- 6:44Speaker 2: they're not having to hit the portal so hard. So
- 6:47Speaker 2: certainly good to see. We all knew that he was
- 6:50Speaker 2: going to do awesome in the portal. I don't think
- 6:54Speaker 2: we expected them to do this well this early in
- 6:56Speaker 2: the high school recruit Maybe we should have expected it.
- 6:58Speaker 3: I mean, it's LSU, it is, but when you're adjusting
- 7:02Speaker 3: to a style in a way that you haven't had
- 7:03Speaker 3: to do because you had to do it another way,
- 7:05Speaker 3: you're wondering what that time period is going to be
- 7:08Speaker 3: and they hit the ground running ever since they've been
- 7:10Speaker 3: in batter uge, which is to me it is an
- 7:12Speaker 3: impressive feet that they can dominate high school recruiting like
- 7:16Speaker 3: they have.
- 7:17Speaker 2: And you know, like another thing before you get to that,
- 7:19Speaker 2: it's like with the court of public opinion, the national
- 7:26Speaker 2: talking heads, like the how they everybody talked about Lane
- 7:30Speaker 2: Kiffin making this move, like LSU is painted as the villain, right,
- 7:33Speaker 2: and a lot of negative press towards Lane and making
- 7:36Speaker 2: them move jumping ship to come to l Shoe. Well,
- 7:39Speaker 2: we didn't really feel like it would affect LSU recruiting
- 7:43Speaker 2: in the portal because money talks, right, people can overlook
- 7:47Speaker 2: bad pub If there's money involved, you get paid more
- 7:50Speaker 2: to go here than there, whatever where it would affect.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Somebody is coming out of high school, right and they
- 7:56Speaker 2: just haven't let that happen. Like all that has died down.
- 7:58Speaker 2: I don't think there's any like that was a classic
- 8:01Speaker 2: situation of once the dust settles, like no one's gonna
- 8:04Speaker 2: care anymore. Right now, they're gonna care one week this
- 8:07Speaker 2: football season. It's gonna all kick back up for one
- 8:10Speaker 2: week and it's gonna be glorious and we're gonna beat
- 8:13Speaker 2: the brakes off oh miss Aka or Canada that week.
- 8:18Speaker 2: But like if the whole if like the negative, the
- 8:22Speaker 2: negative messaging about lame the villain, the air quote villain
- 8:26Speaker 2: role that LSU is gonna play, I think we're kind
- 8:29Speaker 2: of past that because these high school kids, like there's
- 8:33Speaker 2: money involved with that, but it's not like transfer portal money,
- 8:36Speaker 2: so it's not like the money's talking and bringing them
- 8:38Speaker 2: here to overlook that. I just think that messaging has
- 8:41Speaker 2: kind of died down, So it feels like at least.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Yeah, and one of the points that you made is correct.
- 8:47Speaker 3: If you continue to build through high school recruiting, then
- 8:50Speaker 3: you won't have to do as deep of a dive,
- 8:52Speaker 3: but then you still are in the portal, so you
- 8:56Speaker 3: can do an elite dive into the portal.
- 8:58Speaker 1: You right, you have, Hey, we're.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Gonna go get these fifteen players, and all fifteen of
- 9:03Speaker 3: these players are going to be potential NFL guys.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Or now, if you look, if you go.
- 9:09Speaker 3: Get forty forty five players, there's gonna be some that
- 9:13Speaker 3: don't work out. There's gonna be some that aren't as good. Right,
- 9:16Speaker 3: there's gonna be some that can't catch up to this level.
- 9:19Speaker 3: But if you build it through high school and then
- 9:21Speaker 3: you chase those fifteen elite guys that you get every year,
- 9:25Speaker 3: which again they have shown that they can be elite
- 9:27Speaker 3: in the portal, you don't get the Portal King tag
- 9:29Speaker 3: unless you're really good in there. That's the best case
- 9:31Speaker 3: scenario for LSU football moving forward. Yeah, it's to have
- 9:35Speaker 3: it built through Louisiana, built through high school, and you
- 9:38Speaker 3: supplement your roster with fifteen elite new players every year.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Yeah, you're not having to do what you know basketball
- 9:43Speaker 2: did right and fill a roster. So we can make
- 9:46Speaker 2: sure like you don't want to have to be going
- 9:49Speaker 2: and finding offensive linemen, so you had to back up
- 9:52Speaker 2: left guard, Like you want to be going and finding
- 9:53Speaker 2: guys that are going to replace current guys on the
- 9:56Speaker 2: roster that are good, So you want to replace good
- 9:58Speaker 2: with great in the portal. You just don't want to
- 10:01Speaker 2: fill a gap and a fill a void, which is
- 10:04Speaker 2: exactly what they're Yeah, sometimes you got to do it.
- 10:06Speaker 2: You mean, look, you're recruiting guys right now, of course
- 10:09Speaker 2: out of high school that are going to play somewhere else. Yes,
- 10:12Speaker 2: all right, like, and that's going to happen. And I
- 10:14Speaker 2: don't even know what the percentage. I don't even know
- 10:16Speaker 2: what percentage this day and age like this year as
- 10:20Speaker 2: we sit here in twenty twenty six, twenty six, yeah,
- 10:23Speaker 2: twenty twenty six, Like what the percentage of your high
- 10:28Speaker 2: school signees every year actually only play for you in college.
- 10:32Speaker 2: I would say it's less than fifty. Yeah, I don't know.
- 10:35Speaker 2: I'm just throwing that number out there, So you know,
- 10:37Speaker 2: you got to get it. You have to have a
- 10:39Speaker 2: little luck with it. But they're preparing themselves for a
- 10:42Speaker 2: long term run here, and that's exact exactly what we
- 10:46Speaker 2: hoped and expected lane and is staff to do. And
- 10:49Speaker 2: I would say I use the word expected because there's
- 10:51Speaker 2: a lot of expectations with coming with the moves that
- 10:54Speaker 2: were made by the LSU, by the LSU.
- 10:58Speaker 3: By LSU, I'm kind of sitting here and like realizing
- 11:03Speaker 3: that most teams that I root for are kind of
- 11:07Speaker 3: now villains. I kind of don't hate it.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Mm hmm. I would say LSU is LSU football. Like
- 11:15Speaker 2: I said, I think the dust that's settled. Yeah, really,
- 11:18Speaker 2: don't pig back up like you said, Oh, it'll pick
- 11:20Speaker 2: up for a week, but everybody's gonna forget that whole situation.
- 11:23Speaker 3: It'll be it'll be three weeks because there's gonna be
- 11:26Speaker 3: for the week of the game, the week after.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Like there's gonna be some college football, you know, there's
- 11:31Speaker 2: gonna be another like gambling scheme that pops out, and
- 11:34Speaker 2: there's gonna be thinks like I think that there's things
- 11:37Speaker 2: that have happened since land move that are way worse
- 11:40Speaker 2: to relax everybody.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Yeah, somebody on.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Somebody on X Twitter, whatever you wanna call it, they
- 11:47Speaker 3: were like, wait a minute, you were talking about Britain
- 11:50Speaker 3: Soresby not accepting his fate and just wanting to sue everybody, Like,
- 11:55Speaker 3: what's what's the difference between that and what's going on
- 11:58Speaker 3: with Baligan.
- 11:58Speaker 1: I'm like, look, dumb, dumb, do you hate America one?
- 12:03Speaker 1: I think it was a Canadian.
- 12:05Speaker 2: One makes sense, It makes sense.
- 12:08Speaker 3: Source be bet and did a wrong like and so like,
- 12:11Speaker 3: and that wrong was way worse than like getting a
- 12:14Speaker 3: red card that should not have been a red card.
- 12:17Speaker 3: And Baligan wasn't suing anyone. He had an appeal to
- 12:20Speaker 3: an appeal process within the game. So like, if you're
- 12:23Speaker 3: trying to compare those two, ISS's just not gonna meet
- 12:26Speaker 3: in the middle.
- 12:26Speaker 4: Also, I like America and I don't like Texas Tech,
- 12:30Speaker 4: So I'm gonna be biased through there's my other answer.
- 12:33Speaker 2: And that's the thing about life is it's not fair.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Like we're gonna fuck for what we want.
- 12:37Speaker 1: We can't.
- 12:38Speaker 3: But I mean, like Baligan didn't bet on the match. Yeah,
- 12:42Speaker 3: you didn't gamble, you got a red card. That again,
- 12:45Speaker 3: like at minimum ninety percent of the people disagreed.
- 12:48Speaker 2: He didn't gamble on his own teams under yes, so that.
- 12:52Speaker 4: You're also here, you gotta be unbiased. You have to
- 12:55Speaker 4: treat it the same whatever I want. Yeah, I don't
- 12:58Speaker 4: really have to be this benefits of America, so okay, yeah,
- 13:01Speaker 4: I can be very biased.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely want Belgium has appealed the appeal, by the way,
- 13:06Speaker 3: so no appilled.
- 13:09Speaker 4: Well, I say, well, let's gets through before tonight.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Good luck to you. I say, we go and get
- 13:13Speaker 2: ahead of it and appeal that appeal from the appeal.
- 13:16Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know that. I don't even know
- 13:18Speaker 3: what the US lineup is gonna be. Like they did,
- 13:20Speaker 3: Like I said, they did work. You know, a couple
- 13:22Speaker 3: of days that I'm sure Peppy was starter, and that
- 13:25Speaker 3: changes a little bit of your you know, the formation
- 13:27Speaker 3: that you're going to be in.
- 13:28Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 13:29Speaker 3: Maybe they don't start a bat again. Maybe they just
- 13:30Speaker 3: bring him into Super SOB.
- 13:32Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 13:33Speaker 2: We'll see. I don't care. We don't even need them.
- 13:37Speaker 2: We're gonna dominate them. Okay, so the flow down and
- 13:39Speaker 2: play to nil fair enough, ain't no guests, that's what
- 13:44Speaker 2: it's going to be.
- 13:46Speaker 3: All right, We'll take a break more O TV when
- 13:48Speaker 3: we come back here to live from the Raisin Kine studio.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Off the bench, all right, go see our friends over
- 13:54Speaker 3: at trash Rangers. Trash Rangers dot com is the website

- 14:20Speaker 3: for July, that screen true.
- 14:24Speaker 1: I know it's uh gonna be inside and outside, outside
- 14:26Speaker 1: and inside.
- 14:26Speaker 3: But the outdoor living this weekend was good for us
- 14:29Speaker 3: because it saved us pretty hot out there this weekend.
- 14:33Speaker 3: Bo I don't know if you know, but you can
- 14:35Speaker 3: still enjoy outside right if you had that motorized screen,
- 14:39Speaker 3: you just put it down. You're watching TV out there,
- 14:40Speaker 3: kids are playing. We got a little trampoline set up
- 14:42Speaker 3: for Harlow right there in our little porch area that
- 14:45Speaker 3: they have the the outdoor motorized screen. Just press a
- 14:48Speaker 3: button goes down, press the button goes up. It is
- 14:50Speaker 3: incredibly easy.
- 14:51Speaker 1: It is.
- 14:52Speaker 3: And there's different like levels to it as well, like
- 14:54Speaker 3: how much you want it to shade. But for us
- 14:57Speaker 3: it certainly shades the entire area and also our living
- 15:00Speaker 3: ingram as I tell you all the time. KZ Blinds
- 15:01Speaker 3: dot com is the website. Ktoz Blinds dot com is
- 15:05Speaker 3: the website have Brandon Barton and team, come out to
- 15:07Speaker 3: your space, know your space, learn your space, change your space.
- 15:09Speaker 3: In a matter of minutes. They've done it for me,
- 15:11Speaker 3: they'll certainly do it for you as well. KTZ Blinds
- 15:13Speaker 3: dot com. All right, last segment, we were talking about
- 15:17Speaker 3: LSU and high school recruiting, and look, those players might
- 15:20Speaker 3: be here, they might not end up here. What we
- 15:22Speaker 3: do know is the players that are currently on the roster,
- 15:25Speaker 3: the guys that are going to very soon during a
- 15:29Speaker 3: couple of weeks reconvene on the Ponderosa for a little
- 15:33Speaker 3: training camp. As we look at the roster, as we
- 15:36Speaker 3: look at the team, starting to look at maybe some
- 15:38Speaker 3: areas that you're going to be focusing on the most.
- 15:42Speaker 3: It's gonna be, you know, the quarterbacks is going to be,
- 15:44Speaker 3: the running backs, the offensive line, the secondary like whatever
- 15:48Speaker 3: it might be, the linebackers. Tatay, you obviously know this
- 15:53Speaker 3: roster very well. And I'm going to give Matt some
- 15:55Speaker 3: time to think about it.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Here.
- 15:57Speaker 3: If you were to go out to a training camp
- 15:59Speaker 3: practice for the Fighting Tigers, where would you watch maybe
- 16:04Speaker 3: a little bit closer of an eye and why.
- 16:07Speaker 4: Offensive line because it was so poor a year ago.
- 16:10Speaker 4: I mean, I think that's your answer. I think getting
- 16:12Speaker 4: Braylan Moore back is huge. I know that he didn't
- 16:15Speaker 4: perform up to what we thought he was going to,
- 16:17Speaker 4: but the scheme was really bad. I think the coach
- 16:19Speaker 4: ad was really bad. I think getting your center back
- 16:21Speaker 4: is awesome. Jordan Seton number one left tackle on the portal.
- 16:24Speaker 4: I think Aliu Bo is the most underrated player you
- 16:27Speaker 4: got in the portal just because he has almost thirty
- 16:29Speaker 4: starts at a power forward program in Maryland. I think
- 16:32Speaker 4: that's big for you. We talked about bo Bortolan on Thursday,
- 16:35Speaker 4: like what he could mean to this team as a
- 16:37Speaker 4: fifth year guy. I like the way they've revamped it.
- 16:39Speaker 4: I think that's the spot. And it's honestly both lines
- 16:42Speaker 4: of scrimmage. It's the O line and the D line,
- 16:44Speaker 4: because I mean, look the D line.
- 16:46Speaker 2: I thought they did as.
- 16:47Speaker 4: Good of a job as they could. I thought Baker
- 16:49Speaker 4: put him in a good position, but that was a
- 16:51Speaker 4: group that left a little bit to be desired a
- 16:53Speaker 4: year ago as well a lot of big time freshmen
- 16:55Speaker 4: that you got coming in. So really, both lines of scrimmage.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Let me just for everybody listening out there, like, because
- 17:03Speaker 2: we are going to get into training camp and it's
- 17:05Speaker 2: going to be monotonous for the football team and the coaches,
- 17:09Speaker 2: and it will be monotonous for reporters as well, because
- 17:12Speaker 2: you're gonna go out there and it's you know, Nick
- 17:14Speaker 2: Underill talked about it a couple couple of weeks ago,
- 17:16Speaker 2: like the inner squad practices when they practice with different teams.
- 17:21Speaker 2: When the Saints do, like it breaks up the monotony
- 17:23Speaker 2: a little bit. So there's people gonna be looking for
- 17:25Speaker 2: things to write about. Like when you when you read
- 17:28Speaker 2: and you hear reports on offensive line, let me tell you,
- 17:30Speaker 2: like from a just somebody watching offensive line and defensive
- 17:37Speaker 2: line performance in training camp, it is impossible to tell
- 17:41Speaker 2: if they're doing bad or good. You are going to
- 17:44Speaker 2: have to rely on what the coaches say, like everybody's
- 17:47Speaker 2: gonna win a one on one rep and look good
- 17:49Speaker 2: doing it. Like defensive line, offensive line, you don't you
- 17:53Speaker 2: just don't know. So it's just a little bit of
- 17:55Speaker 2: like just a heads up, Like you can get an
- 17:57Speaker 2: idea of like who's physically looking dominant and like who's
- 17:59Speaker 2: not going up sacks and stuff like that, but like
- 18:02Speaker 2: you can't really tell about who is out performing who
- 18:06Speaker 2: really on an offensive line battle Quarterbacks, you know, it's
- 18:09Speaker 2: pretty cut and dry. Receivers, cut and dry, defensive backs,
- 18:12Speaker 2: linebackers like all these other positions where they get to
- 18:15Speaker 2: move in space and you can like literally see a
- 18:19Speaker 2: lot of these one on one battles and how they're
- 18:21Speaker 2: you know, is a safety down as the coach yelling
- 18:23Speaker 2: at them, like you can see and kind of get
- 18:25Speaker 2: a feel for how people are performing offensive line. It
- 18:29Speaker 2: is so hard because you don't really know what you're
- 18:31Speaker 2: looking at. You don't know who's screwed up the mic call,
- 18:33Speaker 2: you don't know who's screwed up. Like if a tackle
- 18:36Speaker 2: gets beat to the inside, he looks bad, but you
- 18:39Speaker 2: don't know if the guard was supposed to push out
- 18:41Speaker 2: to help him on the inside shoulder. They You don't
- 18:43Speaker 2: know a lot of these things, so it's really hard
- 18:45Speaker 2: to tell. The best the best reporting that you can
- 18:48Speaker 2: get is reporting on one on one drills, right, That's
- 18:53Speaker 2: pretty much the only thing you can tell. But like
- 18:55Speaker 2: you have to trust the coaches that they're going to
- 18:57Speaker 2: give you some you know, give you the real messaging.
- 19:01Speaker 2: And you know most coaches don't really give you the
- 19:03Speaker 2: real messaging. But you'll be able to tell. And you
- 19:06Speaker 2: can also tell when coaches start yelling at people too.
- 19:09Speaker 2: That's when you can tell if someone screwed up. But
- 19:11Speaker 2: like I'm just giving you warning, Like if you if
- 19:14Speaker 2: you see reports like this guy's doing really bad, he
- 19:17Speaker 2: might not be.
- 19:18Speaker 3: You just don't really the way, right, it's like tearing
- 19:20Speaker 3: up training, that's the thing, right, Like maybe he's not
- 19:23Speaker 3: because they just don't have they got pads on.
- 19:25Speaker 1: But it's not like live bullets.
- 19:27Speaker 3: It's like this guy's working on his rush move, so
- 19:29Speaker 3: he's not doing a bull rush and you know, things
- 19:32Speaker 3: like that.
- 19:32Speaker 2: And it's good to get that information. I want that information, but.
- 19:35Speaker 1: You gotta certain positions.
- 19:37Speaker 2: That's that those positions specifically interior lineman, defensive lineman, and
- 19:42Speaker 2: offensive line really hard to like tell just from a
- 19:45Speaker 2: bystander and practice without knowing the play call, like if
- 19:48Speaker 2: they're actually doing well or not.
- 19:49Speaker 4: I trust the staff to at least tell us what's
- 19:52Speaker 4: going on, because like, okay, last year, like and to
- 19:53Speaker 4: your point, yes, guard tackle like individual signments, but we're
- 19:57Speaker 4: watching it. Last year inside run runn backs, ain't got
- 20:00Speaker 4: nowhere to go. It didn't matter left right up the
- 20:03Speaker 4: middle of nowhere, and then Brian Kelly would come into
- 20:06Speaker 4: the press conference and be like, oh, yeah, they look
- 20:09Speaker 4: the offensive line like they're where we want them to be.
- 20:11Speaker 4: I'm like, no, they're not. Like they're not.
- 20:13Speaker 2: You can go out there, you can see inside run.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Last year, Oh yeah, they.
- 20:16Speaker 4: Did little and they did like goal line period, goal
- 20:19Speaker 4: line period. They're from the five yard line. Couldn't do anything,
- 20:21Speaker 4: and it was because their line was bad. And Kelly
- 20:23Speaker 4: would come in and say, oh, well, you know it's
- 20:25Speaker 4: it's fine, like we're progressing. It's like, dude, you're two
- 20:28Speaker 4: weeks before the first game and you can't score from
- 20:31Speaker 4: the five yard line. I get your defensive practice.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Like, no, they're not good. They couldn't do it to
- 20:35Speaker 2: the game either. It did translate over like second and
- 20:38Speaker 2: one was a bad down and distance for us. Don't
- 20:42Speaker 2: get nine yards on first down, please, I don't want
- 20:45Speaker 2: to be a yard away from this first down two.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Well, a reminder, the defense had to walk through run
- 20:54Speaker 3: fits last year before Clemson because they didn't get that
- 20:57Speaker 3: action in training camp against the offense.
- 21:01Speaker 1: That's kind of all we need to say about that.
- 21:04Speaker 3: If I'm so, you're not a certain position group, I
- 21:06Speaker 3: mean just more like skill guys.
- 21:09Speaker 1: I guess because of what you just.
- 21:11Speaker 2: For people, it's easier for people that aren't a part
- 21:15Speaker 2: under that roof for meetings and another game plan, it's
- 21:18Speaker 2: easier for people to tell who's looking good and performing well. Right,
- 21:22Speaker 2: It's hard to tell if somebody is performing good or
- 21:24Speaker 2: bad on the meble.
- 21:26Speaker 3: I agree with you wholeheartedly. For me, it's what are
- 21:28Speaker 3: the reps. Who's getting the breakdown of the reps?
- 21:31Speaker 2: Right?
- 21:31Speaker 1: That's what I.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Pay attention to because that means throughout training camp they've
- 21:35Speaker 3: done the things that the coach is believing. As you
- 21:37Speaker 3: get closer to game time, if you see the reps change,
- 21:41Speaker 3: that means this guy's done better. They believe in this
- 21:43Speaker 3: guy more so, like I would want to go to camp,
- 21:46Speaker 3: you know, sometime in the middle of August, and I'd
- 21:49Speaker 3: want to see the running back rotation. Now I'm biased
- 21:52Speaker 3: towards the position obviously, and your eyes going to take
- 21:54Speaker 3: you to the position that you know best, just like
- 21:56Speaker 3: you'd probably be watching the quarterbacks because I want to
- 21:59Speaker 3: see what the rotation. Harlan Berry, Caden Durham, Dylan Jones.
- 22:04Speaker 3: What does that look like? There's a lot of people
- 22:07Speaker 3: in that building that believe Dylan Jones is going to
- 22:11Speaker 3: be a force on this offense and he's coming over.
- 22:14Speaker 1: He doesn't have a lot of stats.
- 22:16Speaker 3: They got him out of the portal and he, I
- 22:18Speaker 3: think surprised a lot of people, certainly guys on the
- 22:20Speaker 3: defense during spring practice. Now spring practice is spring practice?
- 22:26Speaker 3: Does that move on to training camp? Does what he
- 22:29Speaker 3: does in training camp move on to the first game
- 22:31Speaker 3: of the year against Clemson.
- 22:33Speaker 2: I don't think they've been trying to hide that either.
- 22:35Speaker 1: No, no, they have not.
- 22:37Speaker 3: But again, when you have conversations with guys on the
- 22:41Speaker 3: other side of the football, when you say, hey, give
- 22:44Speaker 3: me some guys on offense that are you know, showing
- 22:46Speaker 3: out a little bit, I would say seventy five percent
- 22:49Speaker 3: of them were telling me Dylan Jones during the spring Now,
- 22:53Speaker 3: spring's one thing. Training camps another ten days out of
- 22:59Speaker 3: the first game is another thing. Like that's a new
- 23:01Speaker 3: kind of phase of getting ready for the season. I
- 23:04Speaker 3: think Harlan Barry and Caden Durham are incredibly talented. Harlan
- 23:08Speaker 3: Barry was the number one back in the country coming out.
- 23:10Speaker 3: He certainly had flashes last year. Cayden Durham was top
- 23:14Speaker 3: freshman in the SEC A couple of years ago. I
- 23:16Speaker 3: thought he had some good moments last year, even if
- 23:18Speaker 3: people didn't want to talk about him. They're good backs.
- 23:22Speaker 3: But Jones is now part of that conversation, and it's okay.
- 23:25Speaker 3: It's okay to have three running backs. When you look
- 23:29Speaker 3: at LSU throughout its history, the most successful seasons outside
- 23:33Speaker 3: of one, they have had a running back by committee
- 23:37Speaker 3: in three right, at different times. It was Ali, it
- 23:41Speaker 3: was a die, it was chirone, and it finished with
- 23:44Speaker 3: Justin and seven we had me Keelan Chuck, Trendon Honday
- 23:50Speaker 3: was even part of that backfield, right. I mean Trendon
- 23:52Speaker 3: did big things in the backfield.
- 23:54Speaker 1: We had two.
- 23:54Speaker 3: Fullbacks, that's right, fullbacks. I'll explain what that is later.
- 23:59Speaker 3: In eleven they didn't finish it. They're a damn good
- 24:02Speaker 3: football team, and they had a running back room that
- 24:05Speaker 3: had like three to four guys that rotated. Nineteen's the
- 24:09Speaker 3: only one that didn't, and that was the Clyde played
- 24:11Speaker 3: more than any running back in D one. I believe
- 24:13Speaker 3: that year he's like ninety three percent of the snaps.
- 24:16Speaker 3: Remember your two backups refreshmen on that team, So you
- 24:20Speaker 3: had Clyde out there and he was going to be
- 24:22Speaker 3: the guy that got a bulk of the carries, and
- 24:24Speaker 3: he did like more than any back in the country
- 24:26Speaker 3: that year as far as playing time, not carries.
- 24:30Speaker 1: So it's okay, Like.
- 24:31Speaker 3: Three of LSU's four most successful seasons in the last
- 24:34Speaker 3: twenty six years, you had a running back by committee.
- 24:37Speaker 3: That is a position you don't have to have the
- 24:40Speaker 3: bell cow. You can have a guy that's the leader,
- 24:42Speaker 3: like he's RB one, but you can have RB one,
- 24:45Speaker 3: B C and sometimes even DP.
- 24:47Speaker 2: It'll be exciting to see how Lane Kiffin utilizes such
- 24:51Speaker 2: depth at the running back position. Obviously, he's had great offenses.
- 24:56Speaker 2: That's why he's here. That's why he's Lame Kiffin that
- 24:58Speaker 2: we know today. But last year is Kyrien Lacy on
- 25:05Speaker 2: his offense? Right, it wasn't who's the backup for all Miss?
- 25:09Speaker 2: Do you know?
- 25:09Speaker 1: For what?
- 25:10Speaker 2: For Ole Miss last year? Running back? That matter? It
- 25:14Speaker 2: doesn't matter because.
- 25:15Speaker 1: He had one.
- 25:15Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. It's gonna be really interesting to
- 25:17Speaker 2: see how they utilize depth. He's got three really good
- 25:20Speaker 2: running backs. How are you going to utilize that? And
- 25:22Speaker 2: it's gonna be really fun to dive into Lane Kiffin's
- 25:24Speaker 2: offense in the mechanics behind it, Like, of course we
- 25:27Speaker 2: know they go fast. We watched them for one week
- 25:29Speaker 2: last year. Well, we're gonna get to watch Lane Kiffins's
- 25:32Speaker 2: offense a lot and get really familiarized with it, and
- 25:35Speaker 2: we're gonna break down film here. We're gonna tell you
- 25:37Speaker 2: kind of like what they're doing, what their goals are.
- 25:40Speaker 2: But it's gonna be fun to see, like the what
- 25:42Speaker 2: the rotation's gonna be like, because they go fast. When
- 25:46Speaker 2: you go fast, that means you don't rotate a lot
- 25:48Speaker 2: during a drive unless you get stalled. You get as
- 25:50Speaker 2: like something happens in a special situation. So what's that
- 25:53Speaker 2: rotation going to be like for receivers? What's that rotation
- 25:57Speaker 2: going to be like for running back? So it's going
- 26:00Speaker 2: to be fun to figure out kind of how Lane
- 26:02Speaker 2: is going to use such a plethora. It's a big
- 26:06Speaker 2: word right there, A plethora. Really this is a short word,
- 26:10Speaker 2: but a fancy word.
- 26:11Speaker 1: Man.
- 26:11Speaker 3: I knew so I knew Digs got some carries at
- 26:15Speaker 3: Ole Miss last year. You know Logan from Louisiana he
- 26:18Speaker 3: played here. I knew he had some. I thought it
- 26:21Speaker 3: was way more he only had thirty three last year.
- 26:23Speaker 2: So that's that's a bellcal right there. Show you had
- 26:27Speaker 2: a bell cow.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Lazy had three hundred and six the running back times.
- 26:33Speaker 3: Now Trinidad Chambers ran two, but still Lacey had three
- 26:37Speaker 3: hundred and six carries Digs had thirty three.
- 26:41Speaker 2: That's ten times more from your starting running back whoa
- 26:44Speaker 2: to your backup running back. So to my point, it's
- 26:49Speaker 2: gonna be real interesting to see, how I mean, when
- 26:53Speaker 2: you were talking about three to seven teams like championship
- 26:55Speaker 2: teams that had you know, running back back committee, it
- 26:58Speaker 2: was you wrote the hot hand a lot, Yeah, right,
- 27:01Speaker 2: and you don't know who is gonna catch it. So
- 27:03Speaker 2: if somebody's running their ass off, like do you stick
- 27:06Speaker 2: with them for the next drive? Because, like I said,
- 27:08Speaker 2: like these drives, there's not gonna be a lot of
- 27:09Speaker 2: substitutions mid drive. If a play goes if a play
- 27:13Speaker 2: goes thirteen, or if a drive goes thirteen or fourteen plays,
- 27:15Speaker 2: you might have the same running back and receivers in
- 27:17Speaker 2: there the entire time because you're going so fast staying
- 27:19Speaker 2: on schedule. H So, like, if somebody's riding a hot hand,
- 27:25Speaker 2: do you put him in the next drive or do
- 27:26Speaker 2: you stick with a three man rotation? Is it going
- 27:29Speaker 2: drive by drive by drive?
- 27:30Speaker 1: I like staying with the hot hand. I do too, and.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Then keeping fresh legs. So it but it's going to
- 27:36Speaker 2: be super fun to just kind of like see how
- 27:38Speaker 2: that'll that that rotation plays out.
- 27:40Speaker 3: I say that because, like, you know what it is
- 27:41Speaker 3: like as a running back if you get in a
- 27:43Speaker 3: flow of things and you're like you're seven carries deep
- 27:46Speaker 3: and you got like for this drive and you're starting
- 27:49Speaker 3: to see the defense say, I don't really know if
- 27:51Speaker 3: I'm interested in tackling that guy anymore. Yeah, because a
- 27:53Speaker 3: running back, you feel that and you're like that linebacker
- 27:56Speaker 3: he took me. You know at first it started with
- 27:58Speaker 3: his face mask. Now how much with his shoulder. He's
- 28:01Speaker 3: about to olay this thing like he is a matador
- 28:04Speaker 3: and I'm about to run through him. You can feel
- 28:06Speaker 3: that as a running back. So I do like getting
- 28:08Speaker 3: in that flow, but you do have to learn the
- 28:10Speaker 3: flow of a game. Like I knew there was gonna
- 28:12Speaker 3: be certain plays that Charles Scott was going to come in,
- 28:15Speaker 3: because Charles was really good at those. I knew there's
- 28:16Speaker 3: gonna be certain plays that Keeling came in because Keiling
- 28:18Speaker 3: was really good at those Trendon was gonna have his package,
- 28:21Speaker 3: like part of the running back rotation that you're talking about.
- 28:24Speaker 1: And I love it when you have a hot hand.
- 28:26Speaker 1: But then that hand changes in a game, it can change.
- 28:29Speaker 3: In a half, but everybody has to be bought into
- 28:32Speaker 3: that for that to work. If you go back and
- 28:35Speaker 3: you watch in O seven, if Keeling scored me and
- 28:37Speaker 3: Charles met him at the hash, if I scored Keeling,
- 28:39Speaker 3: Charles met me at the hash, same thing.
- 28:42Speaker 1: With Chuck Righte.
- 28:43Speaker 3: So like that worked because we were actually rooting for
- 28:46Speaker 3: each other.
- 28:47Speaker 1: I've been at running back rooms somebody else shoot that.
- 28:50Speaker 1: It was not the case and it doesn't work out.
- 28:53Speaker 3: But in O seven, like, if you're doing it because
- 28:55Speaker 3: you understand why you're doing it, that's half the battle.
- 28:58Speaker 2: Well, everybody's gonna get the chance to shine. Let's just
- 29:00Speaker 2: say you're riding the hot hand early and Harlan Berry
- 29:03Speaker 2: goes for the first two quarters, then somebody else of it.
- 29:08Speaker 2: But in the fourth quarter you get a fresh leg
- 29:11Speaker 2: Caden Durham like throw him in there. They get a
- 29:14Speaker 2: chance to because this is what Lane Kiffn's offense does.
- 29:17Speaker 2: It wears you out on no doubt. And so if
- 29:20Speaker 2: you're taking a if you got three in depth and
- 29:22Speaker 2: Lankiffin make no mistake, Lan Kiffon wants to run the
- 29:25Speaker 2: football as many stats as they have. The quarterbacks looking great.
- 29:28Speaker 2: He built around the running game. Whether you choose to
- 29:33Speaker 2: believe that or not, it is and so you throw
- 29:35Speaker 2: a fresh running back they could go start at any
- 29:37Speaker 2: other SEC team in the fourth quarter, then it's gonna
- 29:42Speaker 2: be fun.
- 29:43Speaker 3: Just to give you an idea of the breakdown. Last year,
- 29:45Speaker 3: some I was asking if Lacey had three hundred, what
- 29:48Speaker 3: was LSU? Kaden Durham had one eleven, and Harlan Berry
- 29:53Speaker 3: had one oh four, So one eleven one O four
- 29:55Speaker 3: that and then Juwan Johnson actually had forty one. So
- 29:58Speaker 3: your third back had more carries, will miss his second.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Back, And neither one of LSU's backs had as many
- 30:04Speaker 2: carries as Kiren Lacy.
- 30:06Speaker 3: Now you could combine him and then you combine him,
- 30:07Speaker 3: and they didn't have not even really not even remotely close.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Still like one hundred, like a hundred out. Yeah, So
- 30:13Speaker 2: that's how much Lane wants to run the football.
- 30:15Speaker 3: Can I admit this? And I'm not trying to throw
- 30:17Speaker 3: shade at this young man. I swear I'm not. It's just,
- 30:20Speaker 3: oh boy, I forgot Michael Van Buren played for LSU
- 30:22Speaker 3: kind of. I mean, I kind of forgot that that
- 30:26Speaker 3: happened just a year ago, three games span at the
- 30:28Speaker 3: end of the year. Everybody was so chicked out. I
- 30:30Speaker 3: don't unnecessarily like I called the games and I was there, yep,
- 30:33Speaker 3: and like now it's like, oh, yeah, you're physical there.
- 30:35Speaker 3: But like when I saw his name on the rushing chart,
- 30:37Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, yeah, he played a lot last year
- 30:40Speaker 3: after Garrett you know, obviously went down.
- 30:42Speaker 2: M Buren boys, whoa eighth president?
- 30:44Speaker 1: Got about that?
- 30:46Speaker 3: Anyways, there's your breakdown of what we're looking for in
- 30:50Speaker 3: training camp. All Right, we'll take a break more OTV
- 30:52Speaker 3: when we come back here live from the last segment
- 30:55Speaker 3: for l s U football. One of the things that
- 30:58Speaker 3: is not going to look like it did a year ago,
- 31:02Speaker 3: Trade as Green. Last year, Trade has had thirty three
- 31:05Speaker 3: catches for four hundred and thirty three yards, thirteen yards
- 31:09Speaker 3: per catch, and seven touchdowns. That is a good year
- 31:12Speaker 3: for a college tight end, no doubt about it.
- 31:14Speaker 1: But man, oh man, do.
- 31:16Speaker 3: I expect those numbers to look completely different this year.
- 31:19Speaker 3: I cannot wait to see how they utilize trade as
- 31:22Speaker 3: Green Now. Of the things that the offense did poorly
- 31:25Speaker 3: last year, I would say the lone bright spot was
- 31:27Speaker 3: probably trade as Green and how they utilized him at times.
- 31:33Speaker 3: But to be honest, it's not that hard. He's a
- 31:36Speaker 3: true unicorn. Nobody's really built like that. With the strong
- 31:40Speaker 3: hands that he has. He's probably the player that I'm
- 31:44Speaker 3: most excited to see in an offense that is so
- 31:49Speaker 3: diverse in its run game, It's diverse in the tempos
- 31:53Speaker 3: that it uses, it's diverse in.
- 31:55Speaker 1: The concepts that they have.
- 31:57Speaker 3: Where he did those things that I just laid out there,
- 32:00Speaker 3: thirty three catches, four hundred and thirty three yards, seven
- 32:03Speaker 3: touchdowns in an offense that was as predictable as any
- 32:06Speaker 3: in the country. If anybody's gonna benefit from this offense,
- 32:11Speaker 3: it's probably going to be tradeeds Green because.
- 32:13Speaker 1: You can't just now key in on him in.
- 32:16Speaker 3: The red area on third downs, and if he's put
- 32:19Speaker 3: in the right positions, which I think he will be,
- 32:22Speaker 3: he is going to be. Was it the Mackie Taylor
- 32:26Speaker 3: the Mackie Awards for the nation's best tight end.
- 32:28Speaker 2: That's it. I was just thinking about that the award.
- 32:30Speaker 2: If he has fifteen hundred yards receiving, like I don't know,
- 32:34Speaker 2: eighteen touchdowns and he plays seventy eight percent of his
- 32:37Speaker 2: snaps split out, does he win the Mackie or the
- 32:42Speaker 2: Koff the MACI just because of what it says in
- 32:44Speaker 2: the program.
- 32:45Speaker 3: Kind of like when Jimmy Graham was trying to get
- 32:48Speaker 3: the franchise tag for a receiver and had a tight end.
- 32:51Speaker 1: They're like, Jimmy says, T.
- 32:54Speaker 3: Next to your name, right, you know, hey, we wish
- 32:57Speaker 3: we could, but you know, and hands tat a little
- 33:01Speaker 3: bit the numbers a little bit different, so you be.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Back, Oh yeah, well, trudeaus he's going to he is
- 33:08Speaker 2: going to have a special season. I think that when
- 33:15Speaker 2: talent meets preparation, when talent meets a great scheme, it
- 33:23Speaker 2: makes for the potential to have a special, special season.
- 33:27Speaker 2: And so we'll see. It is a big responsibility, like
- 33:30Speaker 2: having that talent is is certainly a gift and a
- 33:36Speaker 2: luxury for Lane Kiffin and his staff, but it's a
- 33:38Speaker 2: big responsibility as well. Like it's say, you have to
- 33:42Speaker 2: figure out how to utilize that talent and you can't
- 33:46Speaker 2: do it by just saying all right, we're gonna split
- 33:48Speaker 2: him out. We're going to run oop to you and
- 33:50Speaker 2: put them one on one backside. Like you can't just
- 33:52Speaker 2: do that, you have to well mean it.
- 33:57Speaker 1: My work portrayed in Missippi Valley stated.
- 33:59Speaker 2: Dude, true, you have to utilize them in ways that
- 34:03Speaker 2: don't that keep it unpredictable, that line them up in
- 34:06Speaker 2: different situations, create good matchups, create great situations where it
- 34:11Speaker 2: is not the risk is not worth the reward for
- 34:15Speaker 2: defenses to tee off on him, to double him, make
- 34:19Speaker 2: it not advantageous for them. Now sometimes you know you're
- 34:21Speaker 2: gonna split them out. Why and they are gonna double,
- 34:23Speaker 2: They're gonna roll with safety over the top of them.
- 34:25Speaker 2: They're gonna cloud his side, they're gonna invert his side,
- 34:28Speaker 2: they're gonna do different things to where they're gonna take
- 34:31Speaker 2: them away. And that's when you have to make pay.
- 34:33Speaker 2: You have to make them pay. And so it's it's
- 34:37Speaker 2: going to be fun to watch. And certainly, uh, he's
- 34:40Speaker 2: got the talent to do it. But I mean, like
- 34:42Speaker 2: barn injury, like he's gonna have a special season. That's
- 34:45Speaker 2: I think that is unquestionable.
- 34:48Speaker 3: And if you don't believe us Daikwon Wright last year
- 34:51Speaker 3: for Old Miss, they're tied end. Oh okay, he had
- 34:55Speaker 3: thirty nine catches for six thirty five, five touchdowns, sixteen
- 34:59Speaker 3: yards per catch. Now, I think, right, it's a good player.
- 35:03Speaker 3: I really do. He was the player that you'll probably
- 35:06Speaker 3: remember kind of the the final nail in the coffin
- 35:11Speaker 3: lsu Ole Miss last year. Was a great play design
- 35:13Speaker 3: on that fourth down. He's not with the Philadelphia Eagles.
- 35:16Speaker 3: He's not there anymore. But in look six three, two
- 35:20Speaker 3: point fifty good looking tight end. He's not trade as Green,
- 35:23Speaker 3: and that's not to besmirch him. Good player. He's gonna
- 35:26Speaker 3: have a chance in the NFL. Now he's not trade
- 35:28Speaker 3: as Green. Trade as Green's a better football player with
- 35:32Speaker 3: those numbers, right, that tells you how they can utilize
- 35:37Speaker 3: a tight end. I'm trying to see exactly where he
- 35:40Speaker 3: fit in.
- 35:40Speaker 1: He was God. They had a lot of players with
- 35:43Speaker 1: a lot of catches last year, so I mean kyd
- 35:46Speaker 1: and Lee who was a solid receiver. I mean Kateen
- 35:48Speaker 1: Lee was at media days for Old Miss last year.
- 35:50Speaker 3: They had the same exact receiving yards, the same exact
- 35:55Speaker 3: They're going to utilize the tight end. It is going
- 35:57Speaker 3: to be And by the way, Right had less catch
- 36:00Speaker 3: and Katon Lee so he had more yards per catch.
- 36:02Speaker 3: They know how to utilize a tight end in this
- 36:04Speaker 3: offense when you arguably your best offensive player overall, and
- 36:12Speaker 3: the argument probably woudn't last very long. That is a
- 36:15Speaker 3: player that you have to make sure that he gets
- 36:18Speaker 3: the football. But also what Matt's talking about, and I agree,
- 36:21Speaker 3: even when he's not getting the football, he needs to
- 36:23Speaker 3: affect every single play because of how you've utilized him.
- 36:27Speaker 3: And that's what I think is going to be most
- 36:29Speaker 3: exciting as well. The opportunities is going to open up
- 36:32Speaker 3: for everyone else because you have this star player that
- 36:36Speaker 3: Monday morning meetings, whenever the defensive coordinator gets in there,
- 36:40Speaker 3: he's going to say, all right, guys, how do we
- 36:42Speaker 3: stop number fourteen. That's going to start the conversation every
- 36:45Speaker 3: Monday morning, And if it's not, then you're probably not
- 36:48Speaker 3: utilizing him the way he should be.
- 36:50Speaker 2: Right, Tredez is going to be the ultimate meeting starter
- 36:53Speaker 2: this year for defensive coordinators. He's going to lead every
- 36:56Speaker 2: single Monday morning meeting when teams get together. Play elesh.
- 37:01Speaker 3: That is the most respect that we can give a
- 37:02Speaker 3: player and you're a Monday morning meeting starter. That means
- 37:06Speaker 3: you are a dude. And that's what trade as Green
- 37:08Speaker 3: is going to be.
- 37:09Speaker 1: All Right, we will step way more OTV.
- 37:17Speaker 2: Moths getting clean the past pretty popular. He was, he's
- 37:25Speaker 2: around forty and played his absolute ass off. Yeah, like
- 37:29Speaker 2: he did even even against Argentina and Messi and played incredible.
- 37:32Speaker 2: So Landre told us, like before the first game, I
- 37:35Speaker 2: believe in pool play went from like forty thousand followers
- 37:37Speaker 2: to like one and a half. Yeah, well, now do
- 37:39Speaker 2: you know how men followers? Followers is good now almost
- 37:42Speaker 2: twenty million.
- 37:45Speaker 1: Forty.
- 37:46Speaker 2: This comes on because in June twenty twenty six he
- 37:49Speaker 2: was that one and a half. In July twenty twenty
- 37:51Speaker 2: six is nineteen point.
- 37:53Speaker 1: One And just like to give you an like that's
- 37:57Speaker 1: changed his life.
- 37:58Speaker 3: If you're like, wait a minute, what do you mean
- 38:00Speaker 3: when you have that many followers on social media? The
- 38:04Speaker 3: amount of money that you'll get paid for things is
- 38:08Speaker 3: life changing. He'll make more with that than he probably
- 38:12Speaker 3: ever made in a soccer career combined.
- 38:14Speaker 1: You might think I'm crazy.
- 38:17Speaker 2: This was This was this past weekend when I did it.
- 38:21Speaker 2: This Google's telling me over twenty five million views. Now
- 38:24Speaker 2: that's life changing.
- 38:25Speaker 3: Life changing. Now he deserved it. He was incredible this
- 38:29Speaker 3: entire World Cup. Kate Verde, what a story that was.
- 38:31Speaker 3: You might hear about them because when we come back
- 38:34Speaker 3: in our number three, we're going to start off our
- 38:36Speaker 3: number three with some weekend winners and some weekend losers
- 38:40Speaker 3: because there were some losers out there.
- 38:43Speaker 1: It is. What does that mean?
- 38:46Speaker 2: Wait?
- 38:47Speaker 1: What weekend winners?
- 38:48Speaker 2: Okay,
