- 0:46Speaker 2: catch your break. Sorry, I'm just kind of stuck on that. Yeah,
- 0:55Speaker 2: dinosaurs can't seem to catch your break. Also, how sorry
- 1:01Speaker 2: is Mike Vrabel? And we are going to start today
- 1:06Speaker 2: with a revisit of something we touched on yesterday. So
- 1:12Speaker 2: in everything that happened with the White House Correspondence dinner
- 1:16Speaker 2: on Saturday night, one of the things that Trey was
- 1:21Speaker 2: not aware of yesterday that I had the pleasure of
- 1:23Speaker 2: breaking to him personally was the man sitting at his
- 1:30Speaker 2: table eating his first course of the meal after the
- 1:35Speaker 2: shots been fired, after the dais had been cleared of
- 1:39Speaker 2: the President, the vice president, the cabinet, and only thing
- 1:43Speaker 2: left our security personnel. This man would not be deterred.
- 1:47Speaker 2: He wanted his food. And I was so happy that
- 1:52Speaker 2: you didn't see you, Trey, So I got to break
- 1:55Speaker 2: that lovely piece of White House Correspondents Dinner information with you.
- 1:59Speaker 2: But I wanted to make sure you got a chance
- 2:00Speaker 2: to see it as well, so that way you know
- 2:04Speaker 2: I'm not making it up and that it wasn't staged.
- 2:09Speaker 2: So here he is the salad man eating at the
- 2:12Speaker 2: White House Correspondence dinner after shots were fired, and everyone
- 2:17Speaker 2: is on the ground around him. You see him on
- 2:20Speaker 2: the lower left there. Most people are kind of sitting
- 2:25Speaker 2: around like, okay, what do we do? What do we do?
- 2:27Speaker 2: This guy's just chomming down on his first course. You
- 2:30Speaker 2: can see the security personnel on the stage. Everyone's very
- 2:36Speaker 2: concerned and he's just like, whatever, first course, baby. So
- 2:46Speaker 2: now you know it's true. Also, the man who went
- 2:53Speaker 2: viral at the White House Correspondence dinner has been identified
- 2:58Speaker 2: and he is speaking out about your deal. If you
- 3:04Speaker 2: had to guess who or what this man is, what
- 3:08Speaker 2: would it be if you don't already know.
- 3:12Speaker 1: So I saw the guy's picture just briefly and I
- 3:16Speaker 1: was like, oh, that's Lewis.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Black, and honestly that would track yeah.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Everything about it. I was like, Okay, yeah, that totally
- 3:24Speaker 1: makes sense. And I still I don't really know who
- 3:29Speaker 1: the guy is. I saw the reason why he said,
- 3:32Speaker 1: and which as someone who's back has been hurting for days,
- 3:37Speaker 1: I totally understand. I I can't blame the guy in
- 3:41Speaker 1: his logic.
- 3:43Speaker 2: So the man, the man who went viral at the
- 3:45Speaker 2: White House Correspondence Center for chowling down on his salad
- 3:48Speaker 2: in the aftermath of an after in the aftermath of
- 3:51Speaker 2: an assassination attempt. His name is Michael Glance. He is
- 3:58Speaker 2: a senior agent Creative Artists Agency, one of the biggest
- 4:03Speaker 2: agencies in America slash Hollywood. And someone caught up with
- 4:10Speaker 2: him and got his take and his reasoning why he
- 4:15Speaker 2: did or did not do what most people would have
- 4:18Speaker 2: expected someone to do in a shooting incident. Michael Lance,
- 4:22Speaker 2: can't of you know him?
- 4:23Speaker 3: He was the guy eating the salad and people are
- 4:25Speaker 3: under the table.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Michael, what was going on there?
- 4:27Speaker 1: You weren't nerved.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Wondered, who is in New York? He didn't scare me
- 4:33Speaker 2: at all. I just I didn't want to miss the show.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Didn't want to miss the show. Look, most people are
- 4:45Speaker 2: worried about their lives and what could be a mass shooting,
- 4:48Speaker 2: mass casualty event, and he thinks he's at dinner theater.
- 4:54Speaker 1: If you ever want to see a person, a situation,
- 4:58Speaker 1: a reasoning that is so INDI of getting up there
- 5:03Speaker 1: in years where you just hit that. I don't give
- 5:06Speaker 1: up f stage.
- 5:07Speaker 2: This is it, This is absolutely it. Michael Lance, any
- 5:11Speaker 2: of you know him. He was the guy eating the
- 5:13Speaker 2: salad and people are under the table. Michael, what was
- 5:16Speaker 2: going on there? You weren't nervous? I don't know. I wondered,
- 5:19Speaker 2: who raised in New York. He didn't scare me at all.
- 5:23Speaker 2: I just I didn't want to.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Miss the show.
- 5:26Speaker 2: So I figured everybody's down on the floor.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Two other reasons I wouldn't do it. One I have
- 5:31Speaker 1: a bad back. I couldn't get down with the okay.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Two I'm a niche free There's no way I'm putting
- 5:36Speaker 2: my journey people, So it.
- 5:39Speaker 4: Wasn't gonna happen.
- 5:40Speaker 2: I was watching the shoot, said I didn't like the plan,
- 5:43Speaker 2: so good to be with you, thanks so much, bland
- 5:46Speaker 2: and safe and everyone else bad back, and he didn't
- 5:52Speaker 2: want to mess up his tucks, and he also didn't
- 5:55Speaker 2: want to miss the show. I'm with you, Trey. I
- 6:01Speaker 2: get the bad back thing, because if you're really going
- 6:03Speaker 2: through it, if you're having a bad spat with your spine,
- 6:09Speaker 2: you know that if you hit the floor, you may
- 6:12Speaker 2: not ever get back up. So I get that. I
- 6:17Speaker 2: understand not wanting to mess up your tucks. But at
- 6:22Speaker 2: the same time, I would have been real curious to
- 6:26Speaker 2: see if a shooter had gotten into that room what
- 6:29Speaker 2: that guy's reaction would have been then, Because he's tough
- 6:32Speaker 2: eating his salad, saying I didn't want to miss the
- 6:34Speaker 2: show when everything's fine, But if someone actually came in
- 6:37Speaker 2: there with a gun, I feel like he probably would
- 6:40Speaker 2: have reacted a little bit differently. On the other hand,
- 6:43Speaker 2: he might have sat there eating his salad just daring
- 6:45Speaker 2: him to be like, shoot me, I don't care.
- 6:49Speaker 1: You know, if the guy had had had breached the
- 6:52Speaker 1: inner security and gotten in the room, I yeah, I
- 6:55Speaker 1: think that would be totally different. But uh, if you
- 6:59Speaker 1: really want to sit down and logically reason it out.
- 7:04Speaker 1: That guy's reaction is really more plausible because he knows
- 7:08Speaker 1: there's you know, an outer perimeter, a middle perimeter, and
- 7:13Speaker 1: the chances of that guy actually getting in that room
- 7:15Speaker 1: are pretty slim.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Very slim. And if I if I read this properly,
- 7:20Speaker 2: I think the security area that he was trying to
- 7:23Speaker 2: get through was on a completely different level, a completely
- 7:26Speaker 2: different floor of the hotel than where the dinner was
- 7:30Speaker 2: actually being held. I read that in one spot. I'm
- 7:33Speaker 2: not sure if that was accurate or not, but still
- 7:36Speaker 2: nowhere near it. And I get sitting there wanting to
- 7:41Speaker 2: watch stuff. I'm a lookie lou, I'm a nosy Nelly.
- 7:44Speaker 2: I want to watch stuff too. When there's a tornado outside,
- 7:47Speaker 2: I am going outside to look at it. If it
- 7:50Speaker 2: gets really close, then I'm gonna, you know, do the
- 7:52Speaker 2: responsible thing and take cover. But if I know it's
- 7:54Speaker 2: not that far away, I'm gonna. If I know it's
- 7:56Speaker 2: far enough away, I'll go out and side and watch.
- 7:59Speaker 2: I will watch a train wreck. I will watch bad
- 8:01Speaker 2: stuff happen. I understand this man. This I am this man.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I totally understand the guy. And like I said,
- 8:11Speaker 1: when I first saw this, picture. I really thought a
- 8:14Speaker 1: Lewis Black monologue was coming along, and I was here
- 8:16Speaker 1: for it.
- 8:18Speaker 2: The Daily Show has an opportunity to do something really
- 8:21Speaker 2: awesome here, and it's just nothing but Lewis Black screaming
- 8:29Speaker 2: and I'm too fresh, smoking a cigarette, drinking a Scotch,
- 8:35Speaker 2: eating a salad, wishing he could get the wishing he
- 8:38Speaker 2: just wishing for his entree.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like I paid for a show. I want
- 8:44Speaker 1: to see a show.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, we didn't even get to The Mentalist, which,
- 8:50Speaker 2: by the way, when I first heard that the White
- 8:53Speaker 2: House Correspondence Dinner was having a mentalist instead of, you know,
- 8:57Speaker 2: the traditional comedian role, actually thought initially it was the
- 9:01Speaker 2: actor from The Mentalist, not an actual mentalist. I just
- 9:04Speaker 2: I just write it wrong, And I just thought, oh,
- 9:06Speaker 2: that guy must have fallen on hard times. But no,
- 9:09Speaker 2: like an actual mentalist. And through all this he didn't
- 9:12Speaker 2: get his stage time. I still have no idea who
- 9:15Speaker 2: he is. I saw some clips of the guy. Holy crap, you.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Know, I I you always go okay. If I saw
- 9:25Speaker 1: one interview, he wasn't even in the same studio. I
- 9:29Speaker 1: mean it was a remote interview with Brett Behar, who
- 9:33Speaker 1: you know, is fairly straight laced guy to say this.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Is good as say, just a ball of energy.
- 9:41Speaker 1: And the shocked look on Brett Behar's face when the
- 9:46Speaker 1: guy figured out, you know, like had it written down.
- 9:50Speaker 1: I think it was just like his first girlfriend or something.
- 9:53Speaker 1: I mean, it was. It was bizarre. I'm always I'm
- 9:59Speaker 1: always skeptical and fascinated by those guys.
- 10:03Speaker 2: I am too, and I want to point this out.
- 10:06Speaker 2: I realized that a big reason why the White House
- 10:09Speaker 2: didn't want a quote unquote traditional comedian hosting is because
- 10:13Speaker 2: most of them are not fans of the administration and
- 10:16Speaker 2: Trump doesn't like being made fun of. I think we
- 10:18Speaker 2: all can see that. But now hearing it, how good
- 10:23Speaker 2: this mentalist is. I'm not sure if that was the
- 10:26Speaker 2: right choice. I don't know if I want a guy
- 10:29Speaker 2: who knows Brett Bear's girl first girlfriend's name in a
- 10:32Speaker 2: room with that is loaded with national secrets.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Fair enough, that might have been.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Like, oh, we're not gonna have you know, Kimmel or Colbert,
- 10:44Speaker 2: any of those left wing, unfunny nut jobs. Instead, we're
- 10:48Speaker 2: gonna get a guy in a room that can read
- 10:50Speaker 2: all of our nuclear coded minds.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Yeah, you had to think the CIA would have for
- 10:55Speaker 1: the first time ever been.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Like, really, you couldn't get Jeff Foxworthy bill Inghall, here's
- 11:02Speaker 2: your sign. I was actually really surprised that they didn't
- 11:06Speaker 2: go that round. It's like, and now hearing you describe
- 11:10Speaker 2: how good this mentalist is, like, man, I have serious
- 11:14Speaker 2: security concerns, not only at the event itself, but the
- 11:18Speaker 2: choice and who was going to be the entertainment.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Yeah, m oh man, but you touched on something and
- 11:27Speaker 1: I don't know this little side note. Have you seen
- 11:32Speaker 1: all the tornado videos that came out of like Enot,
- 11:35Speaker 1: Oklahoma over the last week.
- 11:38Speaker 2: The videos I have not. I did hear about it.
- 11:40Speaker 2: En At, Oklahoma, by the way, is the birthplace of
- 11:42Speaker 2: my father, uh and it's where my great granny, my
- 11:48Speaker 2: dad's grandmother. I remember going to eat it a couple
- 11:50Speaker 2: of times as a kid, so I'm familiar ish with
- 11:53Speaker 2: the area.
- 11:54Speaker 1: So I think it was an EF four. Now you
- 12:03Speaker 1: always have to be skeptical because I'm like, Okay, maybe
- 12:07Speaker 1: it was AI and it's just a really good AI.
- 12:10Speaker 1: But I saw so many of them. It's one thing
- 12:14Speaker 1: if you're a storm chaser and you're in some kind
- 12:16Speaker 1: of vehicle that's somewhat built to withstand a tornado like
- 12:22Speaker 1: a red dodge. Yeah, but the amount of people. And
- 12:27Speaker 1: I give them credit because at a certain point you
- 12:30Speaker 1: have to say chicken and run away, and these people
- 12:34Speaker 1: will get letting, you know, really, you know, getting right
- 12:37Speaker 1: to the end where that tornado is right on them
- 12:41Speaker 1: and they're filming away, just just thinking that thing's not
- 12:45Speaker 1: gonna shift, like it's only a matter of time.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Yeah. Growing up in Tornado Alley, I've you and I
- 12:53Speaker 2: have both had our share of tornado run ins. I
- 12:57Speaker 2: still remember one. This was in Colorado Springs when I
- 13:02Speaker 2: was a kid. My sister we were visiting my mom's
- 13:07Speaker 2: parents and I was very little, and I remember this.
- 13:13Speaker 2: We were at my sister and I were outside playing
- 13:15Speaker 2: with the neighborhood kids and we look up in the
- 13:17Speaker 2: sky and it's like funnel popping down. We're like, oh shit,
- 13:20Speaker 2: run we run. And then I remember that I remember
- 13:23Speaker 2: seeing it come down and running, and then I remember
- 13:26Speaker 2: seeing my dad standing in the garage looking out the
- 13:28Speaker 2: little square window of the garage door with his hands
- 13:31Speaker 2: behind his back as just my dad's pose whenever he
- 13:33Speaker 2: was just looking at things or pondering things, And so
- 13:36Speaker 2: I remember that very very vividly, and then growing up
- 13:39Speaker 2: in northeastern Oklahoma, I knew I knew when to run,
- 13:42Speaker 2: I knew when to take cover, but I also knew
- 13:44Speaker 2: when I could go outside and just enjoy the show.
- 13:48Speaker 2: And I did it when I moved to Texas as well,
- 13:50Speaker 2: go outside. Like I was living at Cooper and Pioneer
- 13:57Speaker 2: in central Arlington. This was like the year two something
- 14:00Speaker 2: like that, two thousand and one maybe, and a tornado
- 14:03Speaker 2: was basically going down I thirty in Arlington. I was
- 14:07Speaker 2: far enough away. I went outside and I was like, hey,
- 14:09Speaker 2: look you there. But I know that's far enough away.
- 14:13Speaker 2: So there is that line you have to toe, which
- 14:15Speaker 2: is okay looking and running. I did see a video.
- 14:19Speaker 2: I don't know if it was en at Oklahoma or
- 14:21Speaker 2: if it was a different place. It was a couple
- 14:23Speaker 2: that got into their storm cellar with the dog in
- 14:27Speaker 2: just the nick of time, and the video was from
- 14:31Speaker 2: the home security camera. That's the reason why. So I
- 14:33Speaker 2: mean it was they got in that storm cellar and
- 14:36Speaker 2: within fifteen seconds the winds were, you know, tearing over
- 14:40Speaker 2: the top of that cellar and hearing you say the
- 14:43Speaker 2: EF four out of ENID. I think it was last week.
- 14:47Speaker 2: I saw a video of an EF five last year.
- 14:53Speaker 2: I believe it was South Dakota. It was at night,
- 14:57Speaker 2: it was a mile wide, and you mentioned how some
- 14:59Speaker 2: of the didn't even look real and eat it same
- 15:01Speaker 2: thing with this video. It was so perfect in its shape,
- 15:07Speaker 2: in the way and the way the person was recording
- 15:09Speaker 2: it and where they were. You could see how big
- 15:12Speaker 2: it was to an extent, how round it was, you
- 15:15Speaker 2: could see the clouds above and the shape of the
- 15:18Speaker 2: turn it was, and because of the it was at
- 15:20Speaker 2: night and the lightning flashes and you can see it
- 15:22Speaker 2: is absolutely terrifying. And I'm watching it on my phone.
- 15:27Speaker 2: So yeah, it's amazing that people will get some of
- 15:29Speaker 2: those and just really like I think if I went
- 15:32Speaker 2: outside and saw that monster, I wouldn't stay outside videoing much.
- 15:38Speaker 1: No, No, I'm not sticking around. I mean when I
- 15:45Speaker 1: would like to think I've never been up close to
- 15:47Speaker 1: a tornado, but I would like to think I have
- 15:50Speaker 1: enough sense to yo take cover. Yeah, like you said,
- 15:55Speaker 1: it's it's one thing if it's a mile or two away.
- 15:58Speaker 1: It's another thing if it's uh, you know, a couple
- 16:02Speaker 1: hundred yards.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Yeah, the video I saw that one that they according
- 16:07Speaker 2: to the videos in e F five from South Dakota.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Had I seen that one, I know they say don't
- 16:12Speaker 2: run go inside interior home, go inside your home, interior room. Yeah,
- 16:18Speaker 2: I would have a real hard time after seeing that
- 16:21Speaker 2: tornado running inside and getting into coke closet. I'd have
- 16:24Speaker 2: a real hard time running inside and hopping in a
- 16:26Speaker 2: bathtub because seeing that thing, I don't know if that
- 16:31Speaker 2: would even help. I would be so tempted to get
- 16:33Speaker 2: in my car and just haul ass. That would be
- 16:38Speaker 2: a real struggle.
- 16:42Speaker 1: That's another thing is some of the videos you see
- 16:44Speaker 1: cars just racing by, and I'm like, and I mean
- 16:50Speaker 1: basically either going parallel or perpendicular with a tornado. If
- 16:54Speaker 1: I see a tornado, I'm going in the opposite direction.
- 16:58Speaker 1: I Am not going to be in I'm gonna be
- 17:01Speaker 1: doing everything to not cross that path or even get
- 17:04Speaker 1: close to it. So I just I don't know if
- 17:11Speaker 1: people have become also and you know this stuff, stupid
- 17:16Speaker 1: stuff has always been going on. Now we just have
- 17:17Speaker 1: a documentation of it with all the cameras around. Yeah,
- 17:21Speaker 1: but I still, again, I would like to think when
- 17:23Speaker 1: I see a tornado, I am going to make sure
- 17:24Speaker 1: if I am in my car. I am going opposite direction.
- 17:28Speaker 1: I am getting as far and as fast away from
- 17:30Speaker 1: that as humanly possible, not sticking around for the cram.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not gonna be doing for the gram on
- 17:39Speaker 2: that one. Yeah, unless, of course, that salad from the
- 17:43Speaker 2: White House Correspondence dinners in front of me, because I'm
- 17:46Speaker 2: really curious to try that. If it is that good.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Yeah, if I'm in a tux and eating a salad,
- 17:52Speaker 1: screw it.

- 20:54Speaker 2: back inside the Treehouse Daniel Malley along with Trey Trenholme.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Today is Wednesday. Yeah, Wednesday, April twenty ninth, twenty twenty six.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Celebrate today with some birthdays on thumb. Helped me out.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Jerry Seinfeld seventy two years old today, just talking about
- 21:18Speaker 2: him recently The Seinfeld Show about whether or not it
- 21:22Speaker 2: holds up to today's standards. I think for the most
- 21:26Speaker 2: part it does. But I feel like that show changes
- 21:29Speaker 2: a lot once you introduce you know, like easily accessible
- 21:34Speaker 2: internet and cell technology, like I know Jerry had his
- 21:37Speaker 2: cell phone, like the big brick thing if I remember right,
- 21:39Speaker 2: but not like smartphone type stuff.
- 21:44Speaker 1: I think. I think one of the things where Seinfeld
- 21:47Speaker 1: was very unique at the time was what I'll call
- 21:52Speaker 1: the awkward situational humor. Yes, that it was groundbreaking for
- 21:59Speaker 1: at the time, but then it has been since been replicated.
- 22:05Speaker 1: And then like we were talking about Larry David, I
- 22:07Speaker 1: mean Curby your enthusiasm push that to another level.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Yeah, After we talked about that, it's funny a Seinfeld
- 22:16Speaker 1: episode came on and it's it's still funny that one
- 22:21Speaker 1: of the things I really look at shows in the
- 22:25Speaker 1: past shows I really like the two things that always
- 22:30Speaker 1: stand out. Number one writing, excellent writing. Yeah, but number
- 22:34Speaker 1: two casting you go back and go, there wasn't a
- 22:39Speaker 1: better person for that role.
- 22:45Speaker 2: It's interesting you mention that, because when I think of casting,
- 22:48Speaker 2: I always I always think of a show that I
- 22:51Speaker 2: started to watch back in the day. This was I
- 22:56Speaker 2: want to say, two thousand five two thousand and six era.
- 23:03Speaker 2: I'd have to look it up on IMDb to be sure.
- 23:06Speaker 2: There was a show called I believe. I believe it
- 23:09Speaker 2: was called The Class and it was about it was
- 23:13Speaker 2: sort of like a Friends esque type of a play
- 23:17Speaker 2: that they were trying to do, and I think it
- 23:18Speaker 2: may have actually been on NBC anyway, if I remember correctly,
- 23:21Speaker 2: there was a show called The Class, and it did
- 23:23Speaker 2: not last. It was I don't even think it got
- 23:25Speaker 2: a full season right before it got yanked. But two
- 23:29Speaker 2: big names came out of that show to end up
- 23:33Speaker 2: being really big stars. One of them is Jesse Tyler Ferguson,
- 23:37Speaker 2: who was the redhead guy on Modern Family. Turned out
- 23:42Speaker 2: pretty good for him, I would say. And one of
- 23:45Speaker 2: the other standouts on that show is a guy named
- 23:47Speaker 2: John Bernfall, who we all know now as either Shane
- 23:51Speaker 2: from The Walking Dead or probably more appropriately Punisher. It's
- 23:56Speaker 2: just interesting to think about casting seeing these two guys
- 24:00Speaker 2: on a sitcom styles show that was supposed to be
- 24:02Speaker 2: sort of like high school reunion esau These are all
- 24:04Speaker 2: like college friends or something, and they're just knowing those
- 24:07Speaker 2: two guys and then seeing what they ended up becoming
- 24:10Speaker 2: later on in their careers. It's like, that's pretty interesting.
- 24:13Speaker 2: It's just also weird to think about John Burenthal being
- 24:15Speaker 2: in a sitcom. Yeah, yeah, that is, unless unless Marvel
- 24:21Speaker 2: wants to take punish her in a whole new direction.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Well, and some of the casting is really probably dumb luck.
- 24:31Speaker 1: But you go back and it's at some of the
- 24:35Speaker 1: really successful TV shows, and you go casting was impeccable.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Friends, I'll be the greatest example of that.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Uh I. I was one of the shows, and you know,
- 24:52Speaker 1: Rest in Peace Rage he hated it, but my one
- 24:55Speaker 1: of my favorite shows, Big Bang Theory.
- 24:57Speaker 2: H look real quick, just because you're dead doesn't mean
- 25:00Speaker 2: you're right fair enough.
- 25:03Speaker 1: But I go back and I've seen the casting on that.
- 25:08Speaker 1: I mean Jim Parsons alone, that was a brilliant choice.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Did you know that there was a different Pinny initially
- 25:15Speaker 2: from Big Bang Theory. Yeah, I forgot who the original
- 25:18Speaker 2: one was, but I think they had her for the pilot,
- 25:20Speaker 2: and then they brought Katie Quoco win and they brought
- 25:23Speaker 2: her in because she had done she had some really
- 25:27Speaker 2: good Hollywood cred with eight rules for dating my teenage
- 25:31Speaker 2: daughter and Big Bank Theory, Like, you're right, that was
- 25:35Speaker 2: a phenomenal casting job. While the actor that played Wallowitz,
- 25:39Speaker 2: I recognized him from an Aaron Sorkin show that was
- 25:44Speaker 2: short lived called Sunset Strip. It was basically Aaron Sorkin
- 25:49Speaker 2: who did the West Wing. It was his take on
- 25:52Speaker 2: Saturday Night Live. He and he was the guy that
- 25:57Speaker 2: played Wallowitz was one of the actors on this Saturday
- 26:00Speaker 2: night variety show that was like Saturday Night Live. And
- 26:03Speaker 2: he did a bunch of those a bunch of the
- 26:04Speaker 2: impressions you saw in Big Bang Theory I saw on
- 26:07Speaker 2: that show with Aaron Sorkin.
- 26:08Speaker 1: No, he's uh, and I'm I'm sim after I'm drawing
- 26:12Speaker 1: a blank on his name.
- 26:14Speaker 2: I'm in it's it's something Clig Klungberg, something like that
- 26:18Speaker 2: Klingberg maybe.
- 26:19Speaker 1: But also he was an old school Yes, that's right. Uh,
- 26:23Speaker 1: but did you also know he's a like a concert pianist.
- 26:28Speaker 2: What is with these other talents on on with the
- 26:31Speaker 2: actors on The Big Bang Theory, Like Mayambiolica is an
- 26:34Speaker 2: honest to god neuroscientist, and they built that into her
- 26:37Speaker 2: character on the show so that that wasn't fabricated. A's like, no,
- 26:41Speaker 2: that's what she is. Let's just make her that perfect.
- 26:43Speaker 2: That's easy. I had no idea. He was a concert pianist.
- 26:47Speaker 1: And when they first brought her in they didn't think
- 26:49Speaker 1: it would They thought it was gonna be for a
- 26:51Speaker 1: few episodes, and then it it turned out so well
- 26:55Speaker 1: that they kept her on.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's it's it's fascinating when you hear about
- 26:59Speaker 2: casting story with really successful shows and movies as well.
- 27:04Speaker 2: Other birthdays today, Michelle Pfeiffer turned sixty eight. Wow, yep,
- 27:10Speaker 2: andre Agassy is fifty six.
- 27:14Speaker 1: It would be hard, it would really be hard to
- 27:16Speaker 1: describe to people, especially if you look at him now
- 27:19Speaker 1: that at one point he was the long haired rebel
- 27:23Speaker 1: of tennis.
- 27:25Speaker 2: If you go back and look, if you were to
- 27:27Speaker 2: do a photo side by side of nineteen ninety three
- 27:32Speaker 2: Andre Agassy and Tiger King Joe Exotic, they're gonna look
- 27:38Speaker 2: like brothers. Yeah, I mean, the hairstyle is almost the
- 27:43Speaker 2: same and both were rebels. Master p is fifty six
- 27:49Speaker 2: as well. This doesn't get said enough. No Limit Soldiers
- 27:55Speaker 2: song that came out like nineteen ninety seven, nineteen ninety eight.
- 27:57Speaker 2: I remember that very very well because that was a
- 28:00Speaker 2: song that got voted by the class of ninety eight
- 28:02Speaker 2: at Arlington Lamar High School as our senior song, but
- 28:06Speaker 2: because we had a corrupt senior counsel, they said it
- 28:11Speaker 2: was a tie with green Day's Good Riddance because that
- 28:16Speaker 2: one sounded more like a class song kind of a thing.
- 28:21Speaker 2: But for those of us that know, we know that
- 28:24Speaker 2: it's Master P's No Limit Soldiers won the popular vote
- 28:28Speaker 2: for our senior song. Did you have a senior song?
- 28:31Speaker 1: Tree?
- 28:32Speaker 2: Did your school have that?
- 28:35Speaker 1: Well?
- 28:35Speaker 2: You went, You went to high school in Leonard, Texas right.
- 28:38Speaker 1: My senior year I split between Leonard and Highland Park.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Ooh man, So your senior song could have been she
- 28:44Speaker 2: Thinks My Tractor Sexy or something by I don't know
- 28:49Speaker 2: Jessica Simpson.
- 28:52Speaker 1: I want to say the one for Leonard was the dance.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Brooks.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Yeah, and I don't I don't know that we had
- 29:05Speaker 1: one at at Highland Park, but yeah, which I thought
- 29:09Speaker 1: was And looking back, I'm not trying to do a
- 29:14Speaker 1: joke here, it wasn't as bad of a choice as
- 29:17Speaker 1: I looked at it at the time, but it just
- 29:20Speaker 1: seemed very down and depressing.
- 29:25Speaker 2: I think back on it with my with our two
- 29:27Speaker 2: senior songs, and to me, it's actually kind of fitting
- 29:30Speaker 2: because in the nineties it made sense that you'd have
- 29:32Speaker 2: like an alternative and a popular rap song at the
- 29:36Speaker 2: same time at a school that was pretty demographically split.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean time of our life that that Hell,
- 29:46Speaker 1: I think that'd still be a good you know, if
- 29:47Speaker 1: you were going to pick a class song, that would
- 29:51Speaker 1: still work you know at any age.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Absolutely, and and and don't turn your nose up at
- 29:55Speaker 2: No Limit Soldiers when you think about it being released
- 29:58Speaker 2: into the real world of high school playing master Piece,
- 30:02Speaker 2: No Limit Soldiers is a really good hype song.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I it was very popular at the time. I
- 30:13Speaker 1: don't ever think of I don't even think of Masterpiece
- 30:18Speaker 1: being that talented as a rapper, but as an executive
- 30:20Speaker 1: in his label he was quite impressive.
- 30:24Speaker 2: And basketball did he put himself on the court with
- 30:29Speaker 2: the Knicks.
- 30:31Speaker 1: I don't remember that.
- 30:33Speaker 2: I hope I don't have him crossed up with somebody
- 30:35Speaker 2: else Anyways, other birthdays today, Uma Thurman is fifty six
- 30:41Speaker 2: as well. I say, hm, Uma Thurman fifty six years
- 30:45Speaker 2: old today. I'm not making this up. One percent of
- 30:49Speaker 2: what I'm about to tell you was true. I subconsciously
- 30:52Speaker 2: knew it was Zuma Thurman's birthday today and celebrated by
- 30:55Speaker 2: having an inappropriate dream about her daughter, the.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Girl from the Stranger Things.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Yes, Maya Hawk, Yeah, I really don't want to add
- 31:09Speaker 2: more to it. It was just a weird thing. I
- 31:11Speaker 2: woke up thinking, Huh.
- 31:14Speaker 1: I really don't want to see Tara's arm just reach
- 31:17Speaker 1: into the camera shot and just snatch you. So yeah,
- 31:20Speaker 1: it's probably best you do.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Just I would like to point out in this dream,
- 31:23Speaker 2: I didn't do anything, but Maya's a little Also, one
- 31:32Speaker 2: more birthday because it's one of my favorite actors of
- 31:35Speaker 2: all time. Daniel day lewis sixty nine years old today,
- 31:38Speaker 2: and if you have not seen one of his greatest roles,
- 31:42Speaker 2: it kind of flies under the radar now because he's
- 31:44Speaker 2: done somebody since then. Last of the Mohicans still a
- 31:47Speaker 2: fantastic film.
- 31:50Speaker 1: That I watched that within the last year or so,
- 31:56Speaker 1: and that movie is still just absolutely that ending scene
- 32:02Speaker 1: with the old man Indian and just I drew a
- 32:05Speaker 1: blank on his name, but just crushing everybody that will
- 32:08Speaker 1: never ever ever get old.
- 32:11Speaker 2: I'm getting chills right now thinking about it. I mean,
- 32:14Speaker 2: you talk about just instant karma, revenge, all of it
- 32:19Speaker 2: tied into one. Oh, you just killed my son. I'm
- 32:22Speaker 2: you up and he did.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Yeah, it's old man's strength.
- 32:29Speaker 2: Yeah, is that's one thing you got to you gotta
- 32:31Speaker 2: take into account. Old man's drink is a real thing.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Daniel day Lewis sixty nine years old today, Last of
- 32:41Speaker 2: the Mohicans. Beautifully shot. It looks almost like a travel
- 32:44Speaker 2: video for Upstate New York. Soundtrack was killer, The violence
- 32:52Speaker 2: was wonderful, and it has the most polite threat in
- 32:55Speaker 2: cinema history, where they're all in the fort as it's
- 32:59Speaker 2: being on by the French, and they're all arguing about
- 33:02Speaker 2: whether or not to let the militia members go home
- 33:04Speaker 2: to their families. And you got the blonde a hole
- 33:06Speaker 2: saying oh, that didn't happen, and Daniel da Lewis's character
- 33:09Speaker 2: going yes it did. And then the blonde guy lies again,
- 33:13Speaker 2: and that Daniel day Lewis does a double take and
- 33:15Speaker 2: does the double take, which is key. He does that
- 33:18Speaker 2: double take and then stares right into his soul and says,
- 33:21Speaker 2: one of these days you and I are going to
- 33:23Speaker 2: have a serious disagreement. I mean, that's right up there
- 33:28Speaker 2: with Liam Neeson's I Will find you and kill you,
- 33:30Speaker 2: except way more subtle, but one hundred percent the most
- 33:35Speaker 2: polite threat you will ever hear, and he meant it.
- 33:38Speaker 2: Whow some good birthdays? Today? I watch that movie again,
- 33:46Speaker 2: Last of the Mohicans. I can't tell you how many
- 33:50Speaker 2: times I have seen the movie. And on top of that,
- 33:53Speaker 2: when I'm just feeling it, I'll just watch the last
- 33:56Speaker 2: fifteen to twenty minutes on YouTube or so oh yeah,
- 33:59Speaker 2: oh god, just watching him just kind of slide down
- 34:03Speaker 2: the face of that cliff lifeless. Oh god, it is
- 34:05Speaker 2: so good if you haven't seen it, Yeah.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Papa running through the trail, just slaughtering everyone.
- 34:14Speaker 2: And the and adopted son mowing mowing the way all right,
- 34:20Speaker 2: real quick? Would you rather? And Last of the Mohicans.
- 34:25Speaker 2: I'm brain fighting on this on his name as well,
- 34:27Speaker 2: the final boss in Last Mohicans, it started with an M.
- 34:31Speaker 2: I know, it's not uh Mo Mowgli. No, that's jungle Book.
- 34:35Speaker 2: It's not Magua because that's the cute furry thing from
- 34:38Speaker 2: Greenland's anyway, mogg that guy, right? Would you rather be
- 34:42Speaker 2: the guy that gets killed like that? Or do you
- 34:47Speaker 2: want to be the other uh native American who got
- 34:52Speaker 2: face smacked by Dad's stick with the point on the
- 34:56Speaker 2: end of it, you know what I'm talking about. When
- 34:58Speaker 2: he's running by him and he like hockey cross checks him,
- 35:02Speaker 2: but that spike on his wooden weapon hits that dude
- 35:07Speaker 2: right in a mouth. Would you rather be that guy
- 35:10Speaker 2: or the final guy that gets killed? Uh, sliding down
- 35:13Speaker 2: the cliff with his shoulder beaten and ribs and all that.
- 35:20Speaker 1: I'll go over the final guy just it's a more
- 35:22Speaker 1: epic scene if you're gonna go out.
- 35:26Speaker 2: Honestly, for me, I'm going to say the same answer,
- 35:29Speaker 2: but only because I just don't want to get hit
- 35:30Speaker 2: in the mouth with that thing that looks really bad. Yeah,

- 36:33Speaker 2: have completed birthdays and made it super awkward, let's let
- 36:38Speaker 2: someone else in the barrel when it comes to awkwardness.
- 36:44Speaker 2: Right now, the human embodiment of awkward is Mike Vrabel,
- 36:47Speaker 2: head coach of the New England Patriots. It's not bad
- 36:51Speaker 2: enough that he gets busted cheating on his wife with
- 36:54Speaker 2: NFL reporter Diana Russini at an adults resort in said
- 36:59Speaker 2: Don't Arizona. But over the weekend, Mike Vrabel took off
- 37:04Speaker 2: to Salt Lake City mid NFL draft to buy his
- 37:08Speaker 2: wife an apology present after the Diana Russini photo scandal.
- 37:13Speaker 2: Now the media is taking a big leap and an
- 37:17Speaker 2: assumption that what he bought at the Salt Lake International
- 37:21Speaker 2: Airport was for his wife, But assumptions were made.
- 37:27Speaker 1: I believe he announced before the draft he was going
- 37:30Speaker 1: to basically take a sabbatical to work on his marriage
- 37:38Speaker 1: and seek counseling.
- 37:40Speaker 2: It's probably a good idea. I think most people could
- 37:42Speaker 2: use some therapy on some level, and some couples may
- 37:45Speaker 2: need it. For you, know their relationship. But if you
- 37:48Speaker 2: get busted on the national stage having an affair, and
- 37:54Speaker 2: you decide on your way home to pick up an
- 37:57Speaker 2: airport gift for your wife to say, I'm sorry, I'm
- 38:01Speaker 2: not sure this gift is the gift I would choose.
- 38:06Speaker 2: So what did Mike Vrabel get his wife to say,
- 38:09Speaker 2: I'm sorry, I'm not I'm not kidding. I'm going to
- 38:21Speaker 2: show you this. This is a photo that page six
- 38:25Speaker 2: and The New York Post posted at Hip and Humble,
- 38:29Speaker 2: an airport boutique, where Mike Rabel was seen purchasing a
- 38:34Speaker 2: baby blue sweater and matching pants.
- 38:41Speaker 1: Let's break this down though, because we are talking about
- 38:47Speaker 1: I believe he was an NFL player.
- 38:50Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, he won wings with the Patriots.
- 38:54Speaker 1: A coach that I believe at one point said he
- 38:58Speaker 1: would cut off his junk to win Super Bowl.
- 39:04Speaker 2: And so.
- 39:06Speaker 1: Let's not the fact that he even remembered to cat
- 39:11Speaker 1: to pick up something. I think we have to give
- 39:13Speaker 1: him some credit. I mean, Mike Rabel comes off as
- 39:17Speaker 1: as a kind of a meathead if we're being honest,
- 39:23Speaker 1: and uh, I mean, at this point, it was one
- 39:26Speaker 1: thing that you got busted at that resort in Sedona
- 39:32Speaker 1: when you and you both said both he and Diana
- 39:35Speaker 1: Rassini said, oh, we were with friends, and everyone's like, well,
- 39:38Speaker 1: can you name them? Uh No, But then you go
- 39:42Speaker 1: back and there were pictures of them canodling going back
- 39:46Speaker 1: to twenty twenty, and unfortunately, and I hate this for her,
- 39:54Speaker 1: her husband and their child, but the fact that she
- 39:58Speaker 1: had a child within a year after that the pictures
- 40:03Speaker 1: from twenty twenty were taken and named the child Michael
- 40:10Speaker 1: or that's part of his name, has certainly led to
- 40:12Speaker 1: a lot of speculation, which is very unfortunate. But I mean, clearly,
- 40:22Speaker 1: this is one of those things. If the people had
- 40:24Speaker 1: the pictures for this long, why it's like they were
- 40:27Speaker 1: just sitting on him, just waiting.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Could be and they may have submitted those photos before
- 40:35Speaker 2: and the outlets are like, Eh, there's bigger stuff going on,
- 40:38Speaker 2: really not that interested right now, So it may have
- 40:42Speaker 2: just kind of just gone nowhere. But scandal breaks and
- 40:45Speaker 2: someone has a light bulb moment and says this sounds familiar.
- 40:49Speaker 2: I think I've seen this before, or someone's like, oh,
- 40:52Speaker 2: I knew this all along. I saw these people at
- 40:54Speaker 2: the bar and they'd go through their phone and be like, yeah,
- 40:55Speaker 2: I did have photos of that.
- 40:58Speaker 1: Well, and obviously there were I have seen a couple
- 41:03Speaker 1: of reports, one of whom I don't think we ever
- 41:06Speaker 1: touched on the story. Last week, she was another NFL
- 41:08Speaker 1: reporter who basically got fired for her tweet at Diana
- 41:13Speaker 1: and Rossini saying we all knew this, that you know
- 41:15Speaker 1: what you had been doing, and.
- 41:19Speaker 2: And it makes us all look bad, all beingd female
- 41:21Speaker 2: female journalists, female sports journalists.
- 41:26Speaker 1: And basically implying that there was more. So yeah, it
- 41:32Speaker 1: it certainly looks like I mean, and it's unfortunate because
- 41:36Speaker 1: they're adults, they have relationships. And but then everyone looks
- 41:41Speaker 1: at her reporting because she had, she had gained a
- 41:43Speaker 1: lot of she came to the to rise as one
- 41:46Speaker 1: of the top NFL reporters very fast, and then of
- 41:48Speaker 1: course everyone now looks at it like, oh, we are
- 41:50Speaker 1: you sleeping with everybody.
- 41:52Speaker 2: And that's the reason why that you had this meteoric rise.
- 41:56Speaker 2: I will say this though, it's unfortunate anytime a relationship
- 42:02Speaker 2: is on the rocks. But if I just got busted
- 42:08Speaker 2: cheating on my wife, I don't think an airport I
- 42:16Speaker 2: don't think an airport sweater is gonna get me out
- 42:19Speaker 2: of the doghouse. I don't think an airport sweater is
- 42:22Speaker 2: going to prompt forgiveness on the part of my wife.
- 42:27Speaker 2: And we're also assuming we're also assuming it's for his wife.
- 42:31Speaker 2: Mike Vrabel might be so stupid that he bought this
- 42:34Speaker 2: sweater for Diana Russini. He's like, Hey, it looks like
- 42:37Speaker 2: you've got a lot of free time on your hands
- 42:39Speaker 2: and you got fired me. My job's fine, my relationship
- 42:42Speaker 2: not so good. But you and I can we can
- 42:44Speaker 2: still bump up uglies, right, I got you a sweater.
- 42:47Speaker 1: Well, let's also go that's also making an assumption that Diana
- 42:50Speaker 1: Rossini was his only fling.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Good point.
- 42:56Speaker 1: No, you, in a situation like this, I think you
- 42:59Speaker 1: have have to uh learn from the late great Kobe Bryant,
- 43:04Speaker 1: and it needs.
- 43:05Speaker 3: To be a diamond and it needs to be big,
- 43:08Speaker 3: go big, like like the ring you get her has
- 43:15Speaker 3: to be bigger than the one or ones you've won.
- 43:20Speaker 2: That's how sorry you have to be. Yeah, a sweater
- 43:25Speaker 2: is not gonna cut it unless it's covered in diamonds.
- 43:29Speaker 2: If it's a diamond encrusted sweater, maybe.
- 43:33Speaker 1: It's got to be at least a five figure. Sorry.
- 43:37Speaker 2: Yeah, because if you really, really really really want to
- 43:41Speaker 2: make a Guappo smile, yeah, they need to have a
- 43:45Speaker 2: plethora of diamonds. It's a sweater with a plethodent of diamonds.
- 43:51Speaker 2: It's great for all things Treehouse, Treehouse on Air, dot Com.
