The Rise of the Smiling Socialist Elites, Nigeria’s Silent Christian Crisis & Bill Gates from Alarmist to Realist Week In Review · The 47 Morning Update with Ben Ferguson

0:00
Speaker 1: Welcome in his verdict with Ted Cruz, we can review
0:02
Speaker 1: Ben Ferguson with you. And here are some big stories
0:05
Speaker 1: that you may have missed that we talked about this week.
0:07
Speaker 1: First off, Mandani and Gavin Newsom. They're marketing Marxism and
0:12
Speaker 1: socialism to the American voter like never before. Will there
0:16
Speaker 1: be backlash. We're going to break that down for you. Also,
0:20
Speaker 1: Center Cruse and I set down with an incredible leader
0:23
Speaker 1: to talk about Christian abuse in Nigeria and why the
0:27
Speaker 1: media isn't covering this story but we are here and
0:30
Speaker 1: it's important. And finally Bill Gates reversing course on global warming.
0:36
Speaker 1: So how much money was made off of selling you
0:39
Speaker 1: on the big scam? It's the week in Review and
0:43
Speaker 1: it starts right now.
0:45
Speaker 2: Did you hear Gavin Newsom on the podcast discussing his rough,
0:48
Speaker 2: hard scrabble life eating wonderbread growing up in the hood,
0:52
Speaker 2: because you know, Gavin was an oppressed youth.
0:58
Speaker 1: Did you see that it was almost as oppress as
1:01
Speaker 1: he was during the COVID lockdowns when he was the
1:02
Speaker 1: only one allowed to have dinner with his friends without
1:04
Speaker 1: mass on.
1:05
Speaker 2: You know, Look, to be clear, Gavin Newsom is California Royalties,
1:09
Speaker 2: fourth or fifth generation California old Money. His daddy was
1:16
Speaker 2: one of the lead lawyers for the Getty billionaire fortune.
1:23
Speaker 2: He grew up, he was featured in the San Francisco
1:26
Speaker 2: Paper in an article entitled growing Up Rich. And to
1:30
Speaker 2: be clear, he started a winery with the Getty millions
1:34
Speaker 2: billions actually but millions from them. Started a winery at
1:37
Speaker 2: age twenty five. Now, Benjamin, let me ask you, did
1:40
Speaker 2: you start a winery at h twenty five? No?
1:43
Speaker 1: Well, I felt like I worked really hard, but I
1:45
Speaker 1: promise you it was not a winery at twenty five.
1:48
Speaker 2: And look, it's okay. I don't fault Gavin for the
1:53
Speaker 2: success of his parents, or his grandparents or his great
1:56
Speaker 2: great grandparents. And it's amazing how many leftists were raised
2:00
Speaker 2: with silver spoons and inserted just about any place you
2:03
Speaker 2: can insert a spoon. But when he pretends like he's
2:07
Speaker 2: on this this NBA podcast and he's talking about, oh,
2:11
Speaker 2: I just had to support myself. I had to support
2:13
Speaker 2: myself playing ball, like what a load, what a croc?
2:21
Speaker 2: And it's pathological Newsom is running a different scam than
2:27
Speaker 2: Mandanni is, but it's the same scam. It is marketing Marxism, socialism,
2:35
Speaker 2: confiscatory government power and trying to make it. I will
2:39
Speaker 2: say this, I'm gonna compliment right now both Comrade Mondani
2:43
Speaker 2: and Gavin Newsom they got great smiles. I mean, to
2:47
Speaker 2: be honest, every dentist in America must be like, look
2:49
Speaker 2: at those pearly whitesors smile like it. And you know,
2:55
Speaker 2: I got to say and I'll say this as as
2:58
Speaker 2: a Cuban American whose family you know, fled Cuba, it
3:02
Speaker 2: really feels better if you're a dissident being lined up
3:05
Speaker 2: from the firing squad, if you know that the communist
3:07
Speaker 2: ordering your death or smiling like it really makes it
3:10
Speaker 2: less painful as you're sent to the gulag. To know
3:16
Speaker 2: it's a good looking tyrant who is sending me to
3:19
Speaker 2: the Gulag, But sadly that's where we are. And can
3:26
Speaker 2: I ask you one more question on this topic? Sure,
3:29
Speaker 2: is there is there a single sane Democrat who is
3:34
Speaker 2: calling out Comrade Mom, Donnie or Gavin Douso on these issues.
3:40
Speaker 1: No, because they created these crazies and they allowed them
3:43
Speaker 1: to fester in their party and they literally didn't police
3:46
Speaker 1: their party. So this is the Democratic Party now and
3:49
Speaker 1: their leaders are not Democrats. They are commies, they are socialists,
3:53
Speaker 1: they are Marxists. Just look around the country. This is
3:56
Speaker 1: who they are.
3:57
Speaker 2: Yeah. Look, the elected members of the Democrat Party, particularly
4:00
Speaker 2: on the national scene, they're scared. They're scared of the mob.
4:06
Speaker 2: They're scared of the angry left wing radicals with torches
4:12
Speaker 2: and pitchforks. We saw this at the No King's rally,
4:15
Speaker 2: where they're terrified. We're in the middle, we're in day
4:17
Speaker 2: twenty seven of the Schumer shutdown, because they're terrified of
4:20
Speaker 2: the mob, and so elected Democrats are terrified. But again, listen,
4:26
Speaker 2: we endeavor on this podcast to try to be real,
4:29
Speaker 2: to try to have facts, to try not to engage
4:32
Speaker 2: in just empty partisan rhetoric. So maybe you might say,
4:36
Speaker 2: all right, Cruz Ferguson that they're not the most impartial,
4:41
Speaker 2: unbiased observers if you're not inclined to listen to us,
4:45
Speaker 2: Although I will say, if you've made it twenty nine
4:47
Speaker 2: minutes into this podcast and you're not inclined to listen
4:49
Speaker 2: to us, wow, you've got some endurance. Bravos of you,
4:52
Speaker 2: But indulge in indulge the setup. Nonetheless, if you're not
4:58
Speaker 2: inclined to listen to us, perhaps you would be inclined
5:01
Speaker 2: to listen to Bill Maher. Bill Maher is a liberal,
5:04
Speaker 2: he is a Democrat. He's been a liberal and his
5:06
Speaker 2: democrat a Democrat his whole life. Listen to what Bill
5:10
Speaker 2: Maher had to say, the warning to Democrats he had
5:13
Speaker 2: to say about comrade Mundani.
5:16
Speaker 3: The Democrats, let's face it, they're kind of split. Now
5:18
Speaker 3: there's the far left version that did not do too
5:22
Speaker 3: well in recent elections, and then people like the governors
5:24
Speaker 3: say we've got to come back to the middle, common sense,
5:27
Speaker 3: And whenever this discussion comes up, this is what you
5:29
Speaker 3: hear a lot. We need a sister soldier moment a
5:32
Speaker 3: time when some issue with the Democrat says, look, I'm
5:35
Speaker 3: not with the far left, and this is how you
5:37
Speaker 3: know you can trust me that I'm not. I think
5:41
Speaker 3: I have the issue, okay, and it's the mayor's race
5:44
Speaker 3: in New York. I think he seems like a sweet guy,
5:48
Speaker 3: mum donni. But I would just like to say, because
5:52
Speaker 3: the election is in a couple of weeks, this is
5:56
Speaker 3: not just New York that's on the ballot. I think
5:59
Speaker 3: the whole demokrat credit in the country is on the ballot,
6:02
Speaker 3: and the whole country would be looking at this race
6:05
Speaker 3: to see which way are the Democrats going to go. No,
6:08
Speaker 3: Andrew Cuomo may not be that exciting and that inspirational,
6:12
Speaker 3: but you know, for a party that said we want
6:13
Speaker 3: to get back to normal, he's kind of normal.
6:18
Speaker 4: I mean, what, well, he's done some things in his history.
6:22
Speaker 3: That well, we did a deep dive on that because
6:27
Speaker 3: we had him on the show. A lot of it
6:29
Speaker 3: is kind of bulls. I mean maybe he was a
6:32
Speaker 3: little too handsy, a little too Italian, Uh, a little
6:35
Speaker 3: too touchy. You know, he did not to Italian, that's
6:40
Speaker 3: what he said. You know, yes, you know you did
6:43
Speaker 3: not get the memo.
6:45
Speaker 1: I mean it's when you're having to defend Cuomo to
6:48
Speaker 1: try to save your party, you're not in a good place.
6:50
Speaker 2: Well, but Bill Maher, and let's be clear, Bill Maher
6:54
Speaker 2: did not vote for Donald Trump. Bill Maher would not
6:57
Speaker 2: vote for me. He is a liberal, he is a Democrat.
7:01
Speaker 2: But Bill Maher every day makes more and more sense
7:04
Speaker 2: because his party has gone so batcrap crazy that he
7:07
Speaker 2: believes in things like free speech, he believes in things
7:12
Speaker 2: like not supporting a communist government that seizes private property
7:16
Speaker 2: and the means of production in society. He doesn't want
7:23
Speaker 2: to support Hamas terrorists and other jahatists that used to
7:29
Speaker 2: be mainstream, that used to be all of those propositions
7:32
Speaker 2: were things. It used to be the case that Republicans
7:35
Speaker 2: and Democrats came together. Look Bill Clinton. When Bill Clinton
7:38
Speaker 2: was president, neither you nor I supported Bill Clinton. We
7:42
Speaker 2: did not vote for Bill Clinton. But you know what
7:45
Speaker 2: the Bill Clinton election when he was elected, it was
7:48
Speaker 2: not the fate of Western civilization. It was not do
7:52
Speaker 2: we elect a communist jihadist. I would have rather a
7:56
Speaker 2: Republican be elected. But the world didn't end when Bill
7:59
Speaker 2: Clinton got elected. Bill Clinton's views. If you took a
8:02
Speaker 2: candidate with the identical policy views of Bill Clinton and
8:05
Speaker 2: ran him today, they would tar and feather him and
8:08
Speaker 2: drive him out of the Democrat Party. He would be
8:11
Speaker 2: completely an.
8:12
Speaker 1: Entirely as president.
8:14
Speaker 2: He would not get elected. He probably wouldn't get elected
8:16
Speaker 2: as a Democrat dogcatcher because they have radicalized and they
8:21
Speaker 2: instead want someone like Comrade Monami, whose party says release
8:26
Speaker 2: the terrorists, who murders Jews because they're Jews. That's where
8:31
Speaker 2: their radical base is. And and you know some of
8:35
Speaker 2: y'all may not may not know what a sister Soldier
8:38
Speaker 2: moment is. And and sister Soldier actually refers to Bill Clinton.
8:41
Speaker 2: When Bill Clinton was running for president, Sister Soldier was
8:45
Speaker 2: was this rapper and and and Bill Clinton denounced her
8:49
Speaker 2: in the middle of the primary, and it was viewed
8:51
Speaker 2: as as a brave moment of sort of taking on
8:54
Speaker 2: his base. But it demonstrated to the voters, or it
8:57
Speaker 2: was perceived to demonstrate to the voter that he was
9:00
Speaker 2: reasonable and rational and not a crazy nutcase. And it
9:04
Speaker 2: is an interesting question. Is there even one national Democrat?
9:10
Speaker 2: By the way, Gavin Newsom wants to be elected president,
9:12
Speaker 2: can he denounce Mundami? Jamie Pritzker wants to be elected president?
9:16
Speaker 2: Can he do it? Corey Booker wants to, Chris Murphy
9:20
Speaker 2: wants to. None of them are going to because look,
9:25
Speaker 2: John Fetterman has been critical. But John Fetterman, I think
9:28
Speaker 2: the Democrat Party is being quite explicit that they're going
9:31
Speaker 2: to do everything they can to drive him out of
9:33
Speaker 2: the Democrat Party, just like they would Bill Clinton if
9:35
Speaker 2: he were there. But I don't know a Democrat, And interestingly,
9:41
Speaker 2: one ambitious Democrat is there? Nobody looking around Andy Basher,
9:46
Speaker 2: who's pretending he's a moderate in Kentucky. Josh Shapiro, who
9:52
Speaker 2: has got to be horrified at what Mondami's saying. Has
9:56
Speaker 2: he said a word crickets? Crickets, crickets? There is not one,
10:03
Speaker 2: and maybe that will change. But I fear not just
10:09
Speaker 2: for the state of the Democrat Party, but I fear
10:12
Speaker 2: for the future of our republic. I think we do
10:15
Speaker 2: better when we have two political parties that are reasonable
10:18
Speaker 2: and rational and have some meaningful disagreements than we do
10:21
Speaker 2: with one party that is utterly whack job and trying
10:24
Speaker 2: to destroy America. Look, we've seen through history it is
10:29
Speaker 2: a pendulum, and it goes from one party to the other.
10:32
Speaker 2: There will come a time when these lunatics are a
10:34
Speaker 2: charge of the country again, and they've gotten so extreme
10:38
Speaker 2: that I really shudder and fear for our great nation.
10:41
Speaker 1: Now, if you want to hear the rest of this conversation,
10:44
Speaker 1: you can go back and listen to the full podcast
10:46
Speaker 1: from earlier this week. Now onto story number two.
10:50
Speaker 2: Now, Nowijan tell us what's happening in Nigeria. And as
10:53
Speaker 2: you know, I've been very vocal calling out the mass
10:57
Speaker 2: murder of Christians over fifty thousand Christians have been ordered
11:00
Speaker 2: in Nigeria. Since two thousand and nine, over twenty thousand
11:04
Speaker 2: churches and schools have been destroyed, burned to the ground.
11:07
Speaker 2: And you have Boko Haram and other radical Islamic terrorist
11:11
Speaker 2: groups that are targeting and persecuting Christians in particular. And
11:14
Speaker 2: I will tell you the government of Nigeria is very
11:16
Speaker 2: unhappy with me. They have decried my saying this. I
11:19
Speaker 2: have introduced legislation to designate them a country a special
11:23
Speaker 2: concern And the government in Nigeria is very unhappy. And
11:26
Speaker 2: I've said, look that there are far too many government
11:29
Speaker 2: leaders who have turned a blind eyed to what is happening,
11:31
Speaker 2: who have acquiesced in what is happening, who are enforcing
11:34
Speaker 2: either Sharia laws or blasphemy laws and facilitating the persecution
11:39
Speaker 2: of Christians. And as I said, the Nigerian government has
11:43
Speaker 2: been vigorously resisting me in this. Give me your judgment.
11:47
Speaker 2: What do you see happening in Nigeria and what do
11:50
Speaker 2: you think is actually the truth.
11:56
Speaker 4: Nigeria is the most important African country, largest population, and
12:02
Speaker 4: obviously there's a vying for control between on the one hand,
12:07
Speaker 4: the Islamic states of Nigeria and the Christian States of Nigeria,
12:13
Speaker 4: and it used to be about fifty to fifty. But
12:17
Speaker 4: because the Islamist movement Bokoharam and others, they want to
12:22
Speaker 4: apply force that Ji had his force. It's sort of
12:26
Speaker 4: gruesome killing that we've seen in October seven, twenty twenty
12:30
Speaker 4: three in Israel. So what is going on in Nigeria.
12:35
Speaker 4: The Islamists in Nigeria are killing Christians, They're burning their churches,
12:40
Speaker 4: they're raping their women, they are invoking blasphemilos. So in
12:46
Speaker 4: the southern regions of Nigeria, Sharia law is the law.
12:49
Speaker 4: And if you say Taed Cruz has you know he
12:53
Speaker 4: said something bad against Islam, you can have a mob
12:56
Speaker 4: come and lynch you and there's nothing you can do
12:58
Speaker 4: about it. But then the government, it should be doing
13:00
Speaker 4: something about it. And the government isn't doing anything about it. Now,
13:04
Speaker 4: what is the characteristic of the government of Nigeria. It's corrupt.
13:08
Speaker 4: The elites in Nigeria, whether they're Muslim or whether they're Christian,
13:13
Speaker 4: they're in this bubble, and I think that bubble has
13:16
Speaker 4: to be burist in a comfort bubble. I don't really
13:18
Speaker 4: think that they care about that much about or are
13:21
Speaker 4: hell responsible or accountable or transparent for what is going
13:25
Speaker 4: on with a large majority of the Nigerian population. And
13:29
Speaker 4: that's what you see. And we give a lot of
13:32
Speaker 4: money as the United States and legitimacy to this government.
13:36
Speaker 4: We've got to hold them accountable. And I couldn't be
13:40
Speaker 4: more pleased that you are involved in this, Senator Cruz.
13:43
Speaker 4: You're calling them out and you're going to say, if
13:45
Speaker 4: you want to be our Allian, our friend, we need
13:48
Speaker 4: you to uphold your end of being a responsible and
13:51
Speaker 4: responsive government. There's a goal.
13:54
Speaker 2: There are more Christians being murdered in Nigeria than in
13:58
Speaker 2: any country on planet Earth. One thing you said that
14:00
Speaker 2: I thought was interesting and I think many of our
14:03
Speaker 2: listeners will not have heard this before. You said in
14:06
Speaker 2: your judgment, Nigeria is the most important African country. To
14:11
Speaker 2: tell our listeners why that is because many will will
14:14
Speaker 2: not have a deep familiarity with that.
14:17
Speaker 4: It has the largest population, it has oil resources, the
14:21
Speaker 4: population is very young, it's English speaking, highly educated. Let
14:25
Speaker 4: me just give you an example. Kemi baranoch I hope
14:28
Speaker 4: the future Prime Minister of the United Kingdom is from
14:32
Speaker 4: Nigeria and is Christian. So if we were if you know,
14:36
Speaker 4: in our relationship with right now Prussia, China, et cetera.
14:43
Speaker 4: I think the continent as a whole, the continent of Africa,
14:47
Speaker 4: which is home to over a billion people.
14:50
Speaker 2: Yes, and growing a young population that is growing.
14:54
Speaker 4: It's the youngest population and it's the only population on
14:57
Speaker 4: planet art that is growing as happy as it's doing right.
15:02
Speaker 4: And so Nigeria is strategically important. Nigeria is a sort
15:07
Speaker 4: of country that should be our ally and there is
15:11
Speaker 4: a huge Christian population that means they share norms and
15:16
Speaker 4: values with us, and we should not be abandoning Nigeria.
15:21
Speaker 4: And so the population is pro American, but then they
15:26
Speaker 4: are let down by their government. And I think that
15:28
Speaker 4: can change if we were even to bring a little
15:32
Speaker 4: bit of leverage down on them, because we have that leverage.
15:36
Speaker 5: When you say a little bit of leverage, what do
15:38
Speaker 5: you mean, like, what would the leverage look like that
15:42
Speaker 5: you think could could literally save lives, especially Christian lives
15:46
Speaker 5: and Nigeria who are being attacked right now.
15:49
Speaker 4: Well, it starts from the amounts of Development aid money
15:54
Speaker 4: that we give them. We could apply sanctions we I
16:01
Speaker 4: mean we.
16:03
Speaker 2: Well, in my legislation with sanctions particular government officials, so
16:08
Speaker 2: government officials at the local level who are engaged in
16:12
Speaker 2: facilitating and acquiescing in this persecution. And so it's designed
16:17
Speaker 2: to use the power of the US economy and US
16:21
Speaker 2: sanctions to incentivize different behavior.
16:25
Speaker 4: Absolutely and incentivized, as legitimates, is really important for them
16:31
Speaker 4: to keep their money in America to you know, all
16:33
Speaker 4: of these the private jets they come and they play
16:37
Speaker 4: in America and American allies even when they play in Europe.
16:42
Speaker 4: I think we have a say over that, but I
16:44
Speaker 4: don't want to go into the details of that, but
16:47
Speaker 4: I think we can leverage our influence to make the
16:50
Speaker 4: Nigerian government stop the violence immediately. They have shari a
16:55
Speaker 4: lot in the southern regions. We can and then we say, oh,
16:58
Speaker 4: human rights is that and other where you have Sharia law,
17:03
Speaker 4: you do not have human rights? Are you crazy?
17:06
Speaker 2: Absolutely? Absolutely, And we need to stand up and we
17:09
Speaker 2: need to fight vigorously to prevent it here in the
17:12
Speaker 2: United States. Okay, final topic, and we're going to wrap
17:14
Speaker 2: up in just a couple of minutes. But you were
17:17
Speaker 2: born in Somalia, as you know. I've publicly called on
17:20
Speaker 2: the Trump administration to recognize Somaliland as a separate and
17:25
Speaker 2: independent nation. Tell our viewers what you think about that,
17:29
Speaker 2: and if you think that makes sense, tell them why I.
17:33
Speaker 4: Think we should reward Somali Land for what they have achieved.
17:37
Speaker 4: They have been since nineteen six I mean the former
17:42
Speaker 4: dictatorial government si Bar, they were massacred. They llewed into
17:47
Speaker 4: becoming part of Somalia. They became part of Somalia and
17:50
Speaker 4: they have come to live to regret it. But at
17:52
Speaker 4: the moment, very quickly, they are the only viable nation state.
17:57
Speaker 4: They have a homogeneous population, they speak one language, and
18:02
Speaker 4: there is a narrative of national identity, of common suffering
18:05
Speaker 4: but also common survival. You know, as a Somali, I
18:08
Speaker 4: will tell you something I'm not. I'm an American, but
18:12
Speaker 4: born in Somali. I will say that one of the
18:15
Speaker 4: things that we Smaris excel at is in vengeance. But
18:19
Speaker 4: the leadership of Somaliland have decided after nineteen ninety one
18:23
Speaker 4: that they are not going to channel the energy of
18:25
Speaker 4: their population into vengeance but build into building. What is
18:30
Speaker 4: a nation and they are economically violent. I think they
18:34
Speaker 4: that may have oil and gas. I think that they
18:38
Speaker 4: could be a strategic partner I admire.
18:41
Speaker 2: And they want to stand with America. They are standing up.
18:48
Speaker 2: It is in our national interest to Recognizeiland to have
18:53
Speaker 2: a major ally on the horn of Africa that is
18:57
Speaker 2: standing with us. That's significant. And look, I am someone
19:01
Speaker 2: who is very much America first. We should be putting
19:04
Speaker 2: American national security interest first and recognize as Somali Land
19:08
Speaker 2: enhances those interests.
19:10
Speaker 4: Absolutely, they are absolutely on the same page as as
19:13
Speaker 4: they Also they've recognized Israel. They have defined they have
19:20
Speaker 4: a defined territory, they have a permanent population, they issue passports.
19:25
Speaker 4: But the most important thing is that they hold elections
19:31
Speaker 4: one man, one vote for president, for parliament and local elections.
19:36
Speaker 4: And you can come and survey those and see that
19:39
Speaker 4: they are actually in some ways better than our American elections.
19:43
Speaker 4: And so I think Somali Land should be rewarded for
19:47
Speaker 4: the fact that they have built a nation. They do
19:49
Speaker 4: not rely on development aid. They never relied on US.
19:53
Speaker 2: Eight.
19:55
Speaker 4: Yeah, so please vibrate them from what is Somalia Mogadishi,
20:00
Speaker 4: which is just a broken hiding place.
20:03
Speaker 2: Well, Jan, thank you for taking the time, Thank you
20:05
Speaker 2: for joining us. I think this has been a very
20:08
Speaker 2: informative podcast. I think our listeners are really going to
20:12
Speaker 2: get a lot out of it. Let me encourage our
20:13
Speaker 2: listeners share this podcast if you want your friends, your
20:16
Speaker 2: family to understand, understand the threat of political Islam, what
20:20
Speaker 2: it means, what it's meant in Europe, what it means
20:23
Speaker 2: here in America. I think it is an incredibly important topic.
20:28
Speaker 2: It is a very real threat. It is a threat
20:31
Speaker 2: that I am committed to combating. And one of the
20:34
Speaker 2: purposes of this podcast is to equip you to give
20:38
Speaker 2: you information that when you're talking with your friends and
20:41
Speaker 2: families and colleagues and co workers, that you know the
20:43
Speaker 2: truth and ayan I think this has been very, very
20:46
Speaker 2: helpful to our listeners. So thank you so much for
20:48
Speaker 2: joining us.
20:49
Speaker 1: As before, If you want to hear the rest of
20:51
Speaker 1: this conversation on this topic, you can go back and
20:53
Speaker 1: dow the podcast from earlier this week to hear the
20:56
Speaker 1: entire thing. I want to get back to the big
21:00
Speaker 1: story number three of the week. You may have missed,
21:03
Speaker 1: all right, So this one is just one of those
21:05
Speaker 1: segments that I'm just going to enjoy Bill Gates as
21:10
Speaker 1: a guy that was like the world's gonna end center
21:12
Speaker 1: and we're all gonna you know die of heat and
21:15
Speaker 1: global warming is real, and I'm investing in all these
21:18
Speaker 1: projects and things, and the government should be doing the same.
21:22
Speaker 1: And now he's like, all, right, screwed, it's not gonna happen.
21:24
Speaker 1: It reminds me. I think it was Newsweek back in
21:27
Speaker 1: the eighties where they said we're all going to freeze
21:29
Speaker 1: to death from like arctic freezing of the entire globe.
21:32
Speaker 1: That went away too, So they got it wrong in
21:35
Speaker 1: the eighties. And now Bill Gates is admitting and Al Gore,
21:38
Speaker 1: remember we were supposed to be dead like after ten years,
21:40
Speaker 1: and that was like ten years ago when he made
21:41
Speaker 1: his prediction that we're all going to die of global warming.
21:44
Speaker 1: None of it's actually happened. And so now Bill Gates
21:46
Speaker 1: like a right, screw it. I was wrong, I guess.
21:50
Speaker 2: So it wasn't ten years, it was twelve years. And
21:53
Speaker 2: for some reason for the apocalyptic left, the world is
21:56
Speaker 2: always ending in twelve years. And that's been true for
21:59
Speaker 2: about two decades now. They've been saying twelve years from now,
22:02
Speaker 2: we're all going to die. Twelve years from now, we're
22:03
Speaker 2: all going to die. And I got to say Bill
22:05
Speaker 2: Gates was willing to be as hysterical as Greta, the
22:10
Speaker 2: European teenager who shut down the German economy because they
22:15
Speaker 2: listened to a teenager and said, hey, why don't we
22:17
Speaker 2: shut down all of our nuclear power plants? And then
22:20
Speaker 2: they suddenly realized they couldn't power their country, and ironically enough,
22:24
Speaker 2: instead they're now opening coal plants and polluting a lot
22:26
Speaker 2: more so. The apocalypse the world is ending because of
22:32
Speaker 2: climate change. Well, look, all right, don't necessarily believe me.
22:35
Speaker 2: Let me just read what Bill Gates has done. So
22:38
Speaker 2: this is from Daily Wire. Microsoft co founder Bill Gates
22:41
Speaker 2: has done and about face on climate change alarmism recently,
22:45
Speaker 2: saying that there are more pressing matters people should be
22:47
Speaker 2: worrying about instead. The seventy year old tech billionaire, who
22:50
Speaker 2: has been an outspoken environmental activist for years, said as
22:54
Speaker 2: much in a memo published Tuesday titled Three Tough Truths
22:59
Speaker 2: about Climate It. Here's what he wrote. Climate change, disease,
23:03
Speaker 2: and poverty are all major problems. We should deal with
23:06
Speaker 2: them in proportion to the suffering they cause. The businessman
23:11
Speaker 2: admitted that the Earth's temperature is not the most important
23:14
Speaker 2: factor for improving life on the planet, and said the
23:18
Speaker 2: quote doom'sday view of climate change is wrong. Let me
23:22
Speaker 2: let me read that again. Bill Gates said the doom'sday
23:25
Speaker 2: view of climate change is wrong. Here's what he wrote. Quote,
23:30
Speaker 2: although climate change will have serious consequences, particularly for people
23:33
Speaker 2: in the poorest countries, it will not lead to humanity's demise.
23:39
Speaker 2: Shocking that, Bill Gates said that. And and and here
23:42
Speaker 2: he goes on to say, quote what mean what does
23:45
Speaker 2: that mean?
23:45
Speaker 1: He can find his private jets now and like take
23:47
Speaker 1: a nap, not be like having to buy carbon credits
23:49
Speaker 1: or get on his shot. I'm just confided, I want
23:51
Speaker 1: to be here. What does this free him up to do?
23:53
Speaker 2: Oh no, no, the carbon credits scam is definitely still on.
23:56
Speaker 2: But but but he's going to keep lying on his jets.
23:59
Speaker 2: And remember, by the way, John Kerry the Zealot when
24:01
Speaker 2: he discussed his private play and he said, you know,
24:04
Speaker 2: he flies private because he says, really, for someone like me,
24:07
Speaker 2: it's the only reasonable way to travel. Yes, but likely
24:10
Speaker 2: the utter hypocrisy. But here's what Gates wrote. This is
24:15
Speaker 2: a chance to refocus on the metrics that should count
24:18
Speaker 2: even more than emissions and temperature change. Improving lives our
24:23
Speaker 2: chief goal should be to prevent suffering, particularly for those
24:27
Speaker 2: in the toughest conditions who live in the world's poorest countries.
24:30
Speaker 2: And he added quote, although climate change will hurt poor
24:34
Speaker 2: people more than anyone else, for the vast majority of them,
24:37
Speaker 2: it will not be the only or even the biggest
24:40
Speaker 2: threat to their welfare. And he wrote this seventeen page
24:43
Speaker 2: analysis ahead of next months United Nations Climate Change Conference
24:48
Speaker 2: in Brazil, hoping to shift funding away from climate initiatives
24:52
Speaker 2: towards other endeavors that he now believes are more important. Look.
24:57
Speaker 2: I don't know about you, but I'm not tired of winning.
25:00
Speaker 2: I mean this is climate change was an ex.
25:03
Speaker 1: So it's scam to make a bunch of money. Is
25:05
Speaker 1: that what we can kind of get to here? It
25:06
Speaker 1: was just about all of the money.
25:08
Speaker 2: Money and power. There's a lot of money, a lot
25:10
Speaker 2: of money, take power. Look look for for democrats. If
25:14
Speaker 2: you are a socialist, if you are a communist, if
25:16
Speaker 2: you are a comrade. Uh Mamdani, I assume he's a
25:21
Speaker 2: climate change not I don't actually know that, but I
25:24
Speaker 2: know he's a communist. And and and climate change was
25:28
Speaker 2: the excuse for communists to seize control of our government
25:32
Speaker 2: and and and that today's Democrat party, it was a
25:35
Speaker 2: great we're all gonna die unless you let me, the
25:39
Speaker 2: Democrat politician control the energy and business and your life
25:44
Speaker 2: and and regulate every aspect of your life. The fact
25:47
Speaker 2: that Bill Gates is making this change, it really shows
25:51
Speaker 2: the momentum is moving and people are are are engaged
25:54
Speaker 2: in just just common sense is coming back.
25:57
Speaker 1: Well, and not only common sense, but like you look
25:59
Speaker 1: at these solar farms, they're like being dormited right now,
26:03
Speaker 1: Like they're just shutting them down because they just can't work.
26:06
Speaker 1: They're not working in the pollution that comes actually from
26:10
Speaker 1: the turbines and all the other things they are actually saying,
26:12
Speaker 1: it's like having a real negative effect on the environment.
26:14
Speaker 1: Shocker there. And then we also found out that like
26:17
Speaker 1: a pension fund in California lost like seventy plus percent
26:21
Speaker 1: of the investment that they went in green alternative energy
26:23
Speaker 1: that just came out, so like they screwed countless hardworking
26:27
Speaker 1: even liberals in California with this crap.
26:30
Speaker 2: And a point to understand, the climate change radicals have
26:35
Speaker 2: consistently hurt the environment. They are bad on the environment.
26:39
Speaker 2: If the only thing you care about, if you wake
26:42
Speaker 2: up every morning praying to Mother Earth. If that's your
26:46
Speaker 2: only voting issue, you should vote against Democrats. Why Let's
26:50
Speaker 2: take for example Germany. The Greens forced nuclear power plants
26:54
Speaker 2: to be closed. The result is today Germany is relying
26:57
Speaker 2: more on coal, which is much much worse for the environment.
27:01
Speaker 2: And what country is leads the world every year in
27:06
Speaker 2: the reduction of carbon emissions?
27:09
Speaker 1: Which one?
27:11
Speaker 2: That would be the United States of America? Do you
27:13
Speaker 2: know why?
27:13
Speaker 1: Why is that?
27:15
Speaker 2: Look, this is a question. Actually I pose when I'm
27:18
Speaker 2: when I'm in college campus, when I'm talking to college
27:20
Speaker 2: kids and they're Bernie Sanders supporters and they're they're freaked
27:23
Speaker 2: out about the climate, I'll ask him a question. I'll say,
27:26
Speaker 2: tell me what human being has done the most to
27:30
Speaker 2: reduce climate in our lifetimes? And inevitably they have no idea.
27:34
Speaker 2: There is an objectively right answer. The right answer to
27:36
Speaker 2: this is George Mitchell. Now, who is George Mitchell. George
27:40
Speaker 2: Mitchell was a Texas oil man. He was the son
27:43
Speaker 2: of a Greek goat herder, and George Mitchell is is
27:48
Speaker 2: the man most responsible for pioneering fracking, and he did
27:52
Speaker 2: it in the Barnett Shale under Fort Worth and Dallas.
27:55
Speaker 2: Fracking unlocked the shale revolution, which resulted in massive production
28:01
Speaker 2: of natural gas, much of it in Texas, although also
28:04
Speaker 2: in Pennsylvania and Ohio and other states across the country.
28:08
Speaker 2: And the reason the United States every year leads the
28:11
Speaker 2: world in the reduction of carbon emissions is because at
28:15
Speaker 2: a wide scale level, we are replacing coal powered electricity
28:20
Speaker 2: generation with natural gas powered electricity generation, and that pollutes
28:26
Speaker 2: much much less, it emits much less carbon, and the
28:29
Speaker 2: Greens and the Radical Dems have opposed that at every step.
28:33
Speaker 2: By the way, do you know what country leads the
28:35
Speaker 2: world in pollution?
28:37
Speaker 1: What's that?
28:38
Speaker 2: That would be Communist China, which pollutes massively, and yet
28:41
Speaker 2: the Biden administration bear hug them with all they had.
28:44
