- 0:00So growing up, I've always believed in trying to understand where I want to be in my life.
- 0:06In my 20s, I felt like I knew it. I had all the answers. I always said,
- 0:10I'm going to be this. I'm going to be that.
- 0:13In my 30s, I said, if only I could have done this in my 20s.
- 0:18If only I could have done this in my early 30s.
- 0:22Then when I got into my 40s, I said, well, this isn't too, too bad. I still feel like I'm 20.
- 0:28Well, let me rephrase. I still act like I'm in my 20s. I still feel like I'm
- 0:33in my 30s, but my body knows I'm in my 40s.
- 0:36So, but here's the main question.
- 0:39When you get to like 45, 46, 47, and you know you're about to get into that
- 0:45new journey of life, are you truly understanding where your future is going to be?
- 0:52And are you okay with what is next in your life?
- 0:57Dr. E is back. Half-Faith Let It Begin kicks off a Monday 2025 edition, and it starts right now.
- 1:05Half-Faith Let It Begin was something that I always wanted to do.
- 1:09On June 16th, 2018, a show designed for you, The Daily Commuter, went live.
- 1:15But what I didn't realize, that Half-Faith Let It Begin would become a family.
- 1:20There we go. There he is.
- 1:26After my daughter was born, I was so excited and saying to myself,
- 1:30I can't wait for her to say, have faith, let it begin.
- 1:33Music.
- 1:33And she did. Have faith, let it begin, when it starts right now.
- 1:39When my son was born, forget it, now I have two children. Noah! Hi, Noah. Noah! Noah!
- 1:47Happy birthday, Noah. And I was just as eager to have him say,
- 1:52have faith, let it begin.
- 1:53Can you say, have faith? Have faith. Let it begin. Let it begin. Yeah!
- 2:00A show with motivational topics, inspirational stories, and personal testimony
- 2:06set out to change the world.
- 2:08A weekly show all about faith. Welcome to Have Faith. Let it begin.
- 2:14Here's your host, Angel Santana. Three, two, one...
- 2:19Dr. E is back, and he is back from an awesome vacation.
- 2:23We just did an amazing bookend, I'll use his words, of the Kroc podcast,
- 2:28Citizens Reunited to Overcome Cancer, aired yesterday.
- 2:31And I'll tell you, if you haven't had a chance to listen to what Dr.
- 2:35E puts out, I'm telling you right now, I'm going to put two links in our description.
- 2:38You got to watch last, well, we'll call it last season, last year's episode, and this past Sunday.
- 2:44Dr. E, I missed you. Happy holidays, buddy. Happy New Year.
- 2:47Happy New Year to you. And I want to just take a minute, if you allow me to
- 2:50say happy new year to our half faith community and our family,
- 2:53I can't express how much admiration and love I have for you guys.
- 3:01And I just want to make sure you know that I'm really focused on praying for
- 3:07everyone to have an incredible 2025.
- 3:10Absolutely. And as we actually are speaking, I would be remissed if I didn't
- 3:14say happy three Kings Day to all my fellow people that celebrate Three Kings.
- 3:19Today's January 6th and it is Three Kings Day.
- 3:22I will talk more about that and give you more backup information about that
- 3:27and probably more audio as to when Ariel looks under the bed.
- 3:30But anyway, we're going to go back to our main episode.
- 3:34Dr. E, you know, we're about the same age, right?
- 3:38We're about the same age. Yeah, man. Maybe separated by about 25 years,
- 3:42but yeah, we're basically sharing the earth at the same time for sure.
- 3:46But I want to actually, let me interrupt you because I'm rude.
- 3:50No, you're not rude. I want to just say that what you,
- 3:54uh, your introduction to this,
- 3:55today's podcast really hit home for me because I would be curious if,
- 4:01if our half faith people could respond to this question, how many of you guys
- 4:05out there are early bloomers and how many of you are late bloomers?
- 4:11And since I've been a kid.
- 4:14I have been absolutely a late bloomer. I am so far behind everybody.
- 4:19And I believe, Angel, you might be in my same category.
- 4:22I tell the story all the time when my,
- 4:26I want to say maybe my first grade teacher called
- 4:29my mother into school and my mother was thinking I was little Einstein and she
- 4:36gets called in and she's thinking that the teacher is going to tell her that
- 4:40little Tommy is so smart that he's going to skip a few grades and he's going
- 4:44to now go from first grade to sixth grade because that's how smart he is.
- 4:49But instead, you know, and I use words that we used in the sixties, basically Mrs.
- 4:54Whatever her name was, Mrs. Wild told my mother that I was basically mentally retarded.
- 4:59So, you know, my mother came home. Oh yeah.
- 5:03Well, you know, and we were kind of talking a little bit about,
- 5:06you know, kids and how they develop and, you know, being a late Bloomer, I didn't read that well.
- 5:12And I just was having trouble and just with, with not just with my,
- 5:15with my expression and my thinking and my reading, but also,
- 5:19you know, physically not where I needed to be.
- 5:21So I have a lot of, you know, points of contact with, with, with kids like that.
- 5:27Number two is that even throughout school, like, you know, it took me a long
- 5:32time to really get something, but when I got it, you know, I got it probably
- 5:37better than everybody else.
- 5:38So the third point I want to make, and this is to you, Angel,
- 5:42again, my homage, my honoring of you is that, you know, I look at life a lot
- 5:48differently than most people because, you know, maybe it's just me.
- 5:52Maybe it's because of my training as a physician, but I see us all in a very tiny.
- 5:59Bubble, you know, in this small little bubble, like when you're blowing,
- 6:03you know, a little bubble, like as kids get that, that little detergent and
- 6:07they blow a bubble and it kind of floats and then it pops, you know, that's what our life is.
- 6:13It's this very, very quick and we think it's long.
- 6:17And even if we live a hundred years, it's just a drop of sand.
- 6:21It's one grain of sand. And I say to people, you know,
- 6:25that think they're too old to do things and they think that they've passed the
- 6:29point where they're useful or they think that, you know, they can't achieve
- 6:33something and that they have wasted their lives and it's too late for them to turn it around.
- 6:40And I'm going to tell you.
- 6:42That's not true. I'm going to tell you that what God wants us to do is to do our best.
- 6:51And even if we're on our deathbed and we have this fantasy or this desire or
- 6:56passion to go to law school, let's go to law school while you're on hospice.
- 7:00Who cares? What's the difference?
- 7:02My kid tells me maybe I'm too old to go to medical school.
- 7:06I go, well, what else are you going to do? We're all just here waiting for God to take us back home.
- 7:12Let's fill that time to the best of our capacity to really accentuate the gifts that God gave us.
- 7:21And now back to my homage to you, Angel, is that now you in your 40s,
- 7:26mid 40s, going toward that big 5-0 soon in a couple of years,
- 7:30you're starting a new endeavor.
- 7:33You're going to become a pastor. You're starting on Monday, as a matter of fact.
- 7:38I don't know if you did a podcast about that, but you should.
- 7:40And how much admiration do I have?
- 7:45How much admiration do all of us have for you setting the example of what this person,
- 7:51this specific podcast is, is to give everyone the right and the inspiration
- 7:58to know that they can be anything they want to be.
- 8:02They can do anything they want to, as long as they pray about it,
- 8:07as long as they have God's blessing.
- 8:09And as long as they put in the effort, I hope that I know it was a long answer,
- 8:14but I hope it was what you were looking for.
- 8:17It's actually perfect because it was a great segue to conclude it.
- 8:21And how I was going to say was, you know, a lot of this came from the back of
- 8:25my mind because yes, we're recording this for the record.
- 8:28We're recording this on a Friday night. It's going to air on Monday.
- 8:31And the reason why I did that is because technically I will be in school for
- 8:36the first day of ministry school.
- 8:38So my follow-up will be on Tuesday to tell you all how I'm doing.
- 8:41It was something that was just festering inside my heart, inside my butterflies
- 8:46that, you know, wow, I'm 46 years old, going to turn 47 this year.
- 8:50And I'm starting quote unquote school.
- 8:53However, at the same time, I say that in the same sentence, in the same breath,
- 8:58I feel at peace about it because it is something that I know it was time to do.
- 9:05If I were to go back and say, I was going to be a pastor at 20,
- 9:08it wouldn't have worked out.
- 9:09And I know that it wouldn't have worked out. I probably wouldn't have known
- 9:12that then, but I know now it wouldn't have worked out.
- 9:14In my 30s, I had too much going on.
- 9:17In my early 40s, it wasn't the time.
- 9:19It's so amazing because we talk about miracles from the last episodes where
- 9:24you and I have done in the Croc podcast.
- 9:27We've talked about the what ifs. We've talked about all these things and it's in God's time.
- 9:33And it's amazing to be a part of that, to be front and center when you know
- 9:38that he has literally taken his hand and he has then said, okay, angel, it's time.
- 9:43And, and you can pray about it. You can think about it, but when it is God's time, you just know.
- 9:50So let me close by saying this.
- 9:53Dr. E makes a great point. That's why we have him on here and having Dr.
- 9:58E part of the show and being my friend and my mentor is not an accident.
- 10:03It was God saying, it's time for these two guys to come together.
- 10:09Well, whoever's hearing today's message, it's now time for God to tell you the same.
- 10:15May not be while you're listening to this, but it's starting to creep up and
- 10:19it means that God is just about ready to tell you it's your time.
- 10:23So think about that as you go about your day.
- 10:26May God bless you. May he keep you. May he shine his light upon you and grant
- 10:31each and every single one of you peace on earth.
- 10:35And remember to pray all of us for those that are finding their way.
- 10:41We'll continue to pray for the families that have lost loved ones in New Orleans.
- 10:45We pray for those of the tragedy and mass shooting in Queens, New York.
- 10:49And we continue to lift up in prayer all of our government officials.
- 10:53May they find a way to get along. Find a way to put all this kindergarten,
- 10:58first through fifth grade mentality.
- 11:01Get along and figure it out. And that's what today's episode is all about.
- 11:06God bless you and never forget.
- 11:09Have faith, let it begin, baby. See you guys tomorrow. Thank you for listening
- 11:13to Have Faith, Let It Begin. We'll be back tomorrow.
- 11:17Thank you for listening to another episode of Have Faith, Let It Begin.

- 11:24have this show with you, my love.

- 11:31That's right. You and I are going to help change the world. Do you think that you can do that for me?
