  Speaker 2: position where they were almost worshiped and people wanted to

  Speaker 2: sacrifice to them, and then they turned on them and

  Speaker 2: now they wanted to murder them, right, And I'm like, well,
• 11:49
  Speaker 2: you gotta be faithful during the persecution and through the praises.

  Speaker 2: And so I believe that was timely because now you know,
• 11:58
  Speaker 2: even though we're ranked top ninety, you know what I mean,

  Speaker 2: It's like, we can't allow the praises and the accolades
• 12:04
  Speaker 2: to go to the heart to get the big head. Right,
• 12:06
  Speaker 2: we just got allowed God to allow it to do
• 12:10
  Speaker 2: what they do and make sure God gets the glory.

  Speaker 2: He man, hallelujah. We want to be used by the
• 12:16
  Speaker 2: Lord and not put on the shelf. So I just

  Speaker 2: wanted to throw that in there. So anyway, excuse me

  Speaker 2: as I clear my throat. That kind of came out

  Speaker 2: out of nowhere, But excuse me fat all right, Now,

  Speaker 2: as we go through today, we're going to be in

  Speaker 2: acts chapter of fourteen, starting in verse twenty one, coming

  Speaker 2: Paul had been stoned and he was left for dead,
• 12:46
  Speaker 2: but he was resurrected. He was risen, I believe, and
• 12:50
  Speaker 2: kept preaching. He went right back into the city, right
• 12:54
  Speaker 2: back to the situation, and just kept preaching right the
• 12:58
  Speaker 2: thing that got him in trouble in the first as
• 13:00
  Speaker 2: Paul has some guts. Man, hallelujah, Lord, make us like Paul. Hallelujah.

  Speaker 2: Now we see something even more powerful. After the persecution,
• 13:11
  Speaker 2: he goes back not just to preach, but to strengthen.

  Speaker 2: In today's episode shows us how to build resilience, to
• 13:22
  Speaker 2: build a resilient faith in our communities, even after hardship

  Speaker 2: and man, So let's walk verse by verse and we're

  Speaker 2: just getting a couple of verses verse twenty one through
• 13:34
  Speaker 2: twenty three today. So twenty one and when they had
• 13:40
  Speaker 2: preached the gospel to that city and made many disciples,
• 13:45
  Speaker 2: they returned to Listra like Conya and Antioch. Now I
• 13:52
  Speaker 2: check this out. They went back to the cities they
• 13:54
  Speaker 2: had to flee from. And after Paul died, he went
• 13:58
  Speaker 2: and made disciples. What is our excuse? Sometimes we think
• 14:04
  Speaker 2: we go through so many problems, like how can we
• 14:06
  Speaker 2: help somebody else? Paul died like nobody can say we
• 14:12
  Speaker 2: died right, like I'm going through something. I'm I'm I
• 14:15
  Speaker 2: just died. Like what I mean? You know what I mean?
• 14:20
  Speaker 2: Like what is worse than that? What is more serious
• 14:24
  Speaker 2: than that? And then he rose again and he still
• 14:27
  Speaker 2: made disciples. Remember we're called the great commission to go

  Speaker 2: make disciples of all nations. Amen. Now Paul didn't just

  Speaker 2: win converts. He made disciples, and after danger passed, he
• 14:45
  Speaker 2: returned to the very cities where he was persecuted. This
• 14:50
  Speaker 2: is crazy. Now, that is what we called shepherding. I
• 14:55
  Speaker 2: would love to join this church and have a pastor
• 14:59
  Speaker 2: like that. Right. Not just evangelism, discipleship requires a return
• 15:06
  Speaker 2: to visit. We need to go and follow up. We
• 15:09
  Speaker 2: need to go and check on the people that God
• 15:12
  Speaker 2: had allowed us to minister to Amen in the past,
• 15:19
  Speaker 2: see how they're doing. Just have a heart for God's
• 15:22

  Speaker 2: Paul didn't measure success by numbers on loan. He wasn't

  Speaker 2: trying to just get big numbers. He wasn't trying to

  Speaker 2: just get huge church buildings and pack out the place. No,

  Speaker 2: he measured it by maturity. How mature are the people
• 15:53
  Speaker 2: of God? Amen? And I believe that is our heart,

  Speaker 2: even on this podcast and even every ministry that I'm

  Speaker 2: involved with. My heart, my desire is to see people
• 16:06
  Speaker 2: mature in the Lord. And that should be our goal.

  Speaker 2: You know, I need more maturity myself. And now now

  Speaker 2: this is what stands out. He returns to Listra, the

  Speaker 2: city where he was where they stoned him. Now that's

  Speaker 2: not human logic, you know what I mean? Why go

  Speaker 2: back to a place where they just stoned you. That

  Speaker 2: is divine calling, That is God all over that hallelujah.

  Speaker 2: Resilient faith communities don't come from an accident. Don't come

  Speaker 2: by accident. You can't build resilient faith by accident, right,

  Speaker 2: you build it intentionally. Now Paul is passing this on

  Speaker 2: to the disciples. Paul, how do you think your pastor

  Speaker 2: just got let's say, your pastor just got jumped right
• 17:16
  Speaker 2: came into your neighborhood to minister to you, got jumped
• 17:19
  Speaker 2: right after As soon as he gets healed or whatever,
• 17:22
  Speaker 2: gets out of the hospital. He's right back in your neighborhood. Like,
• 17:27
  Speaker 2: how much of an impact would that make on your faith?

  Speaker 2: Like this guy is serious, this guy is persistent. That's
• 17:38
  Speaker 2: the apostle Paul right here now, verse fourteen, I mean, no,
• 17:45
  Speaker 2: excuse me. Chapter fourteen, verse twenty two, strengthening the souls

  Speaker 2: of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith,
• 17:54
  Speaker 2: and saying we must do many tribulations enter Kingdom of God.

  Speaker 2: Now that's keen. Now you need to highlight. That should
• 18:04
  Speaker 2: be a memory scripture right there, and that should be highlighted.

  Speaker 2: A man take note of this right now, let's break
• 18:13
  Speaker 2: it down. Paul didn't sugar coat anything. He was honest
• 18:17
  Speaker 2: and upfront. And that's what we need to do and

  Speaker 2: say to new converts today. Some people hear a sugarcoated
• 18:28
  Speaker 2: gospel that you're gonna wear rose colored glasses, all your
• 18:32
  Speaker 2: problems will be over. Jesus is just gonna give you
• 18:35
  Speaker 2: a you know, a fairy tale type of a lifestyle.
• 18:40
  Speaker 2: That's not the gospel. Paul said, We're gonna suffer persecution. Right.

  Speaker 2: He didn't promise them comfort. He prepared the believers for tribulation,
• 18:55
  Speaker 2: and that's what we need to do. Belove it, Prepare
• 18:58
  Speaker 2: our sons, our daughters, our families. If you're going to
• 19:01
  Speaker 2: stay in the faith, if you're gonna grow in it,
• 19:04
  Speaker 2: if you're gonna have resilient faith, especially in the days
• 19:09
  Speaker 2: and the times of living in now, love it. We're
• 19:12
  Speaker 2: just a few elections away from Christianity being outlawed in
• 19:17
  Speaker 2: the United States. I mean, check out what's going on.
• 19:22
  Speaker 2: We have a lot of opposing members opposing I'm talking
• 19:28
  Speaker 2: about religion that opposes Christianity, of religious spiritual opposition in
• 19:38
  Speaker 2: the government, and they are coming. Beloved, look at Europe.
• 19:45
  Speaker 2: Look at how the Muslims basically took over Europe, these
• 19:49
  Speaker 2: other nations. They come in, they try to overpopulate different
• 19:54
  Speaker 2: areas and they get into politics, and trust me, as
• 19:58
  Speaker 2: soon as they come in to how Christianity is going
• 20:01
  Speaker 2: out of the window. So your faith needs to be
• 20:09
  Speaker 2: rooted and grounded. And remember the words of the Lord says,
• 20:16
  Speaker 2: fear not right, let not your heart be troubled, look
• 20:19
  Speaker 2: up for your redemption. Draws nine. So strengthening involves truth,
• 20:27
  Speaker 2: not sugar courting. Sugar courting not sugar coating hardship. Right,
• 20:33
  Speaker 2: we can't sugarcoat this. Now, let's look at this message

  Speaker 2: a little closer. He says, continue in the faith, and
• 20:45
  Speaker 2: we must, through many tribulations, enter the Kingdom of God. Now,

  Speaker 2: let that sink into your heart and your mind. Right now,

  Speaker 2: we must, through many, not just one, not just too
• 21:01
  Speaker 2: many tribulations enter the Kingdom of God. How many of
• 21:07
  Speaker 2: us get shook up in our faith and we're ready
• 21:10
  Speaker 2: to quit at the first sign of trouble. No, we
• 21:14
  Speaker 2: gotta dig deeper, our roots, gotta go in even further.

  Speaker 2: Paul didn't say hard times mean God left right. He
• 21:25
  Speaker 2: didn't say that we're out of the will of God
• 21:27
  Speaker 2: if we have hard times. He said hard times are
• 21:30
  Speaker 2: part of the journey. And so that explains a lot.

  Speaker 2: Even with club his hout Las Vegas as impactful as

  Speaker 2: it was, why would people kind of like turn right?

  Speaker 2: Why would people not want to get behind it and

  Speaker 2: support it? The impact it was happening in our youth?

  Speaker 2: Why not continue that? Well, it's a spiritual battle, right,

  Speaker 2: Hardship came with that. Now that builds resilience in believers.

  Speaker 2: We need to build resilient believers. Beloved in this scene. Now,

  Speaker 2: if we teach people that faith equals comfort, they collapse

  Speaker 2: at the first storm. We can't do that, especially to
• 22:27
  Speaker 2: the new converts. We can't that we're doing a disservice
• 22:32
  Speaker 2: if we leave this part out of it, right, But
• 22:36
  Speaker 2: if we teach that faith includes endurance, they will stand firm.

  Speaker 2: Resilient communities are built on realistic expectations. We gotta be
• 22:49
  Speaker 2: realistic about it about it. And I want to say,

  Speaker 2: I'm so thankful. I was fifteen years old when I

  Speaker 2: heard the gospel and I received it. And the woman

  Speaker 2: who taught the gospel to me, who brought me into faith,

  Speaker 2: the time and we were having revival right. But one
