Transcript
- 0:10Speaker 1: Hey, what's going on, everybody? Welcome in to another edition
- 0:13Speaker 1: of the Checo Daily.
- 0:14Speaker 2: It's Andrew DiCecco, Eagles beat reporter for InsideTheBirds.com.
- 0:18Speaker 1: We have the Friday injury report and.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Out for the Eagles, outside linebacker Jonathan Grenard, pectoral, questionable
- 0:28Speaker 2: safety Drew McCuba with the knee. The Friday practice report reads,
- 0:33Speaker 2: limited defensive tackle Jalen Carter, wrist, outside linebacker Jonathan Grenard, pectoral,
- 0:39Speaker 2: safety Drew McCuba, knee, full participants, wide receiver Hollywood Brown, hamstring,
- 0:44Speaker 2: defensive back Cooper DeGene, calf, abdomen, and wide receiver Elijah
- 0:48Speaker 2: Moore with the neck.
- 0:50Speaker 1: So there you have it. Cooper DeGene and Jalen Carter
- 0:57Speaker 1: are good to go.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Both players earlier in the week, as I outlined in
- 1:00Speaker 2: the injury report on InsideTheBirds.com and on this podcast, said
- 1:04Speaker 2: that they expected to play. The question that I have is,
- 1:09Speaker 2: how much will Jalen Carter be able to play? He
- 1:13Speaker 2: played 94% of the defensive snaps against the Commanders.
- 1:16Speaker 1: This is a game that the heat index is going
- 1:18Speaker 1: to be pretty severe and.
- 1:21Speaker 2: You're probably going to need to implement sort of a
- 1:23Speaker 2: rotation there when it comes to the defensive line, especially
- 1:26Speaker 2: at defensive tackle.
- 1:28Speaker 1: So it may mean that someone like.
- 1:31Speaker 2: A Byron Young is going to have to play a
- 1:33Speaker 2: little bit more. BYU played six snaps against the Commanders.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Ty Robinson, I'm not sure, played any defensive snaps. Both
- 1:40Speaker 2: players may have to take on a little bit more
- 1:41Speaker 2: of an elevated role as the Eagles look to establish
- 1:44Speaker 2: more of a rotation there.
- 1:45Speaker 1: I'm not sure how much Jalen Carter is going to
- 1:47Speaker 1: be able to play.
- 1:48Speaker 2: He had the right wrist injury, and he injured himself
- 1:52Speaker 2: doing the peanut punch in the Week 1 matchup. So
- 1:55Speaker 2: we'll have to wait and see how that goes, but
- 1:59Speaker 2: Jalen Carter left no doubt that he was going to play.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Then you have Jonathan Bernard, who's out. Now, I mentioned
- 2:08Speaker 2: this in yesterday's podcast that The quotes that I read
- 2:11Speaker 2: for you from my transcript suggested that he was still
- 2:15Speaker 2: at least a week away and that he's treading.
- 2:18Speaker 1: In the right direction. So that's obviously a good sign.
- 2:21Speaker 2: No setbacks as he was limited in every practice to
- 2:24Speaker 2: start the season. And, look, with the pec injury, you've
- 2:28Speaker 2: got to build up strength first. You also have to
- 2:30Speaker 2: build up your endurance and your stamina as well. And
- 2:33Speaker 2: Jonathan Grenard's not going to go out there unless he
- 2:35Speaker 2: can really help the Eagles. He's certainly not going to
- 2:37Speaker 2: go out there if he's going to hurt the team
- 2:39Speaker 2: or even hurt himself. And the Eagles are going to
- 2:42Speaker 2: take a cautious approach here. The fact that he wasn't
- 2:44Speaker 2: placed on injured reserve to start the season tells you
- 2:46Speaker 2: that the team believes that at least it's a pretty
- 2:50Speaker 2: good chance that he's back within.
- 2:51Speaker 1: That four-week frame. And.
- 2:55Speaker 2: The Eagles need more out of their pass rush in
- 2:57Speaker 2: this game. I look at Dan Moore, their left tackle,
- 2:59Speaker 2: their right tackle, J.C.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Latham.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Those are beatable players. They've proven to be a little
- 3:04Speaker 2: bit vulnerable, at least comparing it to last season. Jalex Hunt,
- 3:09Speaker 2: Nolan Smith, it's your show for at least another week.
- 3:12Speaker 2: You've got to be able to take over and make
- 3:14Speaker 2: your presence felt.
- 3:16Speaker 1: They're going to need more out of A.K. Epinesa. I'm sorry, A.K.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Epikady and A.J. Epinesa. A.K., Emma Cady played 40% of
- 3:26Speaker 1: the snaps last week.
- 3:28Speaker 2: FNSA played just 12, but Vic Fangio earlier in the
- 3:30Speaker 2: week mentioned that he was banged up. Both players may
- 3:33Speaker 2: need to take on a little bit more of an
- 3:35Speaker 2: elevated role. The Heat is the equalizer in this game.
- 3:38Speaker 2: The Titans are not a very good football team. They
- 3:41Speaker 2: don't have a lot going for them on either side
- 3:43Speaker 2: of the ball, really, in any of the three phases.
- 3:47Speaker 2: So it's an NFL team, and that's why they play
- 3:50Speaker 2: the game. But on paper, this looks like a game
- 3:52Speaker 2: that the Eagles should house them. But until the game's played,
- 3:56Speaker 2: you just never know. They're practicing in this heat, whereas
- 3:58Speaker 2: the Eagles are getting out there Friday. If you're listening
- 4:02Speaker 2: to this Friday, they're getting out there. They flew out
- 4:04Speaker 2: this afternoon. So they'll have some time to acclimate to
- 4:07Speaker 2: the weather. But when you're playing in that type of weather,
- 4:12Speaker 2: He always has to be mindful of it. I think
- 4:16Speaker 2: this is a game that the Eagles should lean on
- 4:18Speaker 2: the run game, take advantage of an aggressive defensive front
- 4:21Speaker 2: led by Jeffrey Simmons.
- 4:22Speaker 1: You have John Franklin Myers. You have Jermaine Johnson. Take
- 4:25Speaker 1: advantage of their aggressiveness.
- 4:27Speaker 2: I imagine that they're really going to pin their ears
- 4:29Speaker 2: back and try to attack that Eagles interior. And Saquon
- 4:36Speaker 2: Barkley should be able to really.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Take advantage of that.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Probably want to find more carries for a tank bixby
- 4:43Speaker 2: just to really try to shorten the game get the
- 4:46Speaker 2: running game going and work plays off of that we
- 4:50Speaker 2: never really well we didn't get a chance to see
- 4:52Speaker 2: the the full sean madden experience in week one the
- 4:55Speaker 2: eagles did what they had to do to win the
- 4:56Speaker 2: game you survive in advance but the offensive line play
- 5:00Speaker 2: wasn't great and it was a little vulnerable and they
- 5:02Speaker 2: forced them to do some more inside zone that power
- 5:05Speaker 2: type of run style and This is a game that
- 5:10Speaker 2: I think Saquon Barkley stands to benefit. Now, against the Jets,
- 5:14Speaker 2: the Titans surrendered 102 rushing yards off 22 carries to
- 5:17Speaker 2: Brees Hall. I think it was 150 total. So they
- 5:21Speaker 2: got gashed in the run game. And when the weather
- 5:24Speaker 2: is like that, you want to try to shorten the game,
- 5:28Speaker 2: get out of there with a win, lean on Saquon Barkley,
- 5:31Speaker 2: which foundationally that's what the Eagles want to do.
- 5:35Speaker 1: And then I have a question about the offensive line.
- 5:37Speaker 1: How are they going to perform?
- 5:39Speaker 2: Regardless of who's in at left guard or center, the
- 5:42Speaker 2: Titans likely have that highlighted as an area that they
- 5:45Speaker 2: are going to try to exploit, and it becomes incumbent
- 5:50Speaker 2: upon the Eagles to find a way to combat that,
- 5:52Speaker 2: whether that's double-teaming Jeffrey Simmons and doing some different things
- 5:54Speaker 2: up front. But I think Drew Kendall would make the
- 6:01Speaker 2: most sense there at left guard. I mentioned Fred Johnson
- 6:04Speaker 2: was the left guard in the very short portion of
- 6:07Speaker 2: practice that was open to reporters. When reporters leave, that's
- 6:11Speaker 2: when practice really begins. So that's not to say that
- 6:14Speaker 2: they didn't go to something different. They know what's being reported.
- 6:18Speaker 2: The teams are aware of what's being reported.
- 6:21Speaker 1: We're all out there. We're all looking at the offensive line.
- 6:25Speaker 2: So for competitive advantages, it wouldn't surprise me if there
- 6:27Speaker 2: was a little gamesmanship there.
- 6:29Speaker 3: Hey, I'm somebody who likes to work out. I get
- 6:31Speaker 3: to the gym at least three times a week. I
- 6:34Speaker 3: try to focus on certain muscle groups, my arms, my legs.
- 6:37Speaker 3: And it used to be really frustrating for me to
- 6:39Speaker 3: find jeans that fit someone like myself who likes to
- 6:43Speaker 3: work out. Sometimes those jeans can be awkward and tight
- 6:46Speaker 3: and you're sitting in a chair and you're constantly pulling
- 6:49Speaker 3: at your jeans, trying to get them to fit you.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Sometimes it feels like you have to buy jeans that
- 6:54Speaker 3: make you choose between your waist or your thighs. But thankfully,
- 6:58Speaker 3: I found the perfect jean. It's different from all other
- 7:02Speaker 3: jean companies, especially for guys with athletic builds. They actually
- 7:06Speaker 3: let me move like a normal human being. I can
- 7:09Speaker 3: bend down and tie my shoes. I can squat to
- 7:11Speaker 3: pick up something without feeling restricted. I can actually do
- 7:14Speaker 3: a full squat, you know, bending down to pick something
- 7:17Speaker 3: up without feeling like I'm about to blow a seam.
- 7:20Speaker 3: You know, the old standard jean sizing, it wasn't designed
- 7:23Speaker 3: to fit guys who squat or deadlift, play sports, or
- 7:26Speaker 3: just do anything that actually builds your legs but the
- 7:29Speaker 3: perfect gene is designed for just that for guys like
- 7:33Speaker 3: me perfect gene has six fits it includes the athletic
- 7:36Speaker 3: fit the slim the thick and the thick thick specifically

- 9:53Speaker 2: But until you get to pregame warmups, you're never entirely
- 9:56Speaker 2: sure what the Eagles are thinking.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Who knows? They may want to lean on that.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Experience that Fred Johnson has in this particular matchup. I mean,
- 10:05Speaker 2: it sets up to be a tough spot for anyone,
- 10:07Speaker 2: but certainly someone in Drew Kendall has always played 89
- 10:11Speaker 2: offensive snaps in his career, just last season as a rookie,
- 10:15Speaker 2: and he's never played guard before.
- 10:17Speaker 1: He's a center by trade.
- 10:19Speaker 2: But all indications based off what we saw in the
- 10:22Speaker 2: summer suggest that Drew Kendall would be the first guy up.
- 10:25Speaker 2: But that's not to say that the Titans aren't going
- 10:27Speaker 2: to look to try and capitalize on that. I don't
- 10:29Speaker 2: want to throw this out there. Yes, Drew Kendall did
- 10:34Speaker 2: impress in camp, and I put him up there among
- 10:36Speaker 2: my five players that I was most impressed with in camp.
- 10:40Speaker 3: That happened.
- 10:41Speaker 1: That's not a mirage or anything like that. The Eagles
- 10:44Speaker 1: are bullish on him.
- 10:46Speaker 2: But that doesn't mean that there won't be growing pains.
- 10:48Speaker 2: That doesn't mean that there won't be pressure up the middle.
- 10:51Speaker 2: It doesn't mean that Drew Kendall can't play. It's a
- 10:54Speaker 2: byproduct of the growing pains that accompany playing a young
- 10:58Speaker 2: player who doesn't.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Have a lot of experience.
- 11:00Speaker 2: He could very well go out there and dominate. He
- 11:02Speaker 2: could impress. But if there are some lapses, if there
- 11:07Speaker 2: are some areas that the Titans are exploiting, that doesn't
- 11:10Speaker 2: mean that we were wrong or that the player can't
- 11:13Speaker 2: play or anything like that. It's You kind of got
- 11:16Speaker 2: to wait a little while. But anyone who's going to
- 11:18Speaker 2: be healthy and functional is going to give you a
- 11:20Speaker 2: little bit more than what Landon Dickerson was able to
- 11:22Speaker 2: give you against the commanders. And I would also argue
- 11:27Speaker 2: that the wide zone and this style that Sean Mannion
- 11:32Speaker 2: is bringing in and Chris Cooper and Ryan Mahaffey, the
- 11:34Speaker 2: run game coordinator, tight ends coach, that they're all working
- 11:37Speaker 2: together to establish.
- 11:38Speaker 1: I think that suits someone like Drew Kendall perfectly.
- 11:41Speaker 2: More than it would someone like Landon Dickerson who's a
- 11:43Speaker 2: better power player, moving forward, using his strength to bulldoze defenders.
- 11:51Speaker 1: We'll see.
- 11:52Speaker 2: We'll see if they're able to do some more of
- 11:53Speaker 2: the wide zone stuff because that's what I'm hoping to see.
- 11:56Speaker 2: That's really what the Eagles are going to be predicated
- 11:59Speaker 2: on if this offense is fully imagined. As far as
- 12:04Speaker 2: Jalen Hurts, he was very good against the Washington Commanders.
- 12:08Speaker 1: I don't know that he needs to do anything differently.
- 12:10Speaker 1: You want to continue to see him get the.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Ball out quickly and on time, put the ball where
- 12:15Speaker 2: his playmakers can take advantage of their ability to create
- 12:18Speaker 2: yards after the catch.
- 12:20Speaker 1: I don't know that I want to see any more
- 12:22Speaker 1: design runs.
- 12:22Speaker 2: I know that that's a popular topic of conversation this
- 12:25Speaker 2: week if I'm the Eagles. I'm probably not overly enthused
- 12:28Speaker 2: with that linebacker, with that concept because why put your
- 12:33Speaker 2: quarterback in peril you have no control over what defenders
- 12:35Speaker 2: you're going to do and that sort of detracts from
- 12:39Speaker 2: all the progress that they've made you don't want to
- 12:41Speaker 2: just revert to some so much of what you've done
- 12:45Speaker 2: in the past you want to really try to lean
- 12:47Speaker 2: into the Sean Mannion offense and certainly keep your quarterback
- 12:50Speaker 2: as healthy as possible I think back to that Chicago
- 12:52Speaker 2: game in 2022 where Jalen got hurt on a design
- 12:56Speaker 2: run and I think it needs to be a part
- 12:59Speaker 2: of his game where he can improvise and create and
- 13:02Speaker 2: keep defenses on us that way. But you want to
- 13:05Speaker 2: see the under center, the motion, all of the principles
- 13:10Speaker 2: that we're expecting to see with this offense without deviating
- 13:12Speaker 2: too far away and creating these design runs.
- 13:15Speaker 1: And all that. Because I think that that is just–
- 13:19Speaker 1: that's not really an offense. You're not– That's not an
- 13:24Speaker 1: offensive identity.
- 13:25Speaker 2: It's a weapon, and it's something that I think the
- 13:27Speaker 2: Eagles should tap into when called upon, but you don't
- 13:31Speaker 2: want your quarterback to take needless hits and subject himself
- 13:34Speaker 2: to potential injury.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Jalen Hurts has proven that if.
- 13:39Speaker 2: The opportunity presents itself and nothing's really opening up down
- 13:42Speaker 2: the field.
- 13:43Speaker 1: He'll take advantage of it and he'll create plays like that.
- 13:46Speaker 2: But when you have so many other playmakers, you have
- 13:49Speaker 2: Saquon Barkley, you have Tank Bixby, who I think is
- 13:51Speaker 2: a hell of a running back, in my opinion. You
- 13:55Speaker 2: have all those skilled players that you're going to spread
- 13:57Speaker 2: the ball around to.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Take advantage of them.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Don't ride your quarterback and subject him to unnecessary hits,
- 14:06Speaker 2: I guess would be my read on my.
- 14:09Speaker 1: My thoughts on that.
- 14:12Speaker 2: I like the Eagles receivers versus the Titans secondary.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Cordell Flott and Elante Taylor as their corners.
- 14:19Speaker 2: They have Kevin Winston out of Penn State as one
- 14:22Speaker 2: of their safeties. Imani Hooker, very beatable secondary. I would
- 14:25Speaker 2: imagine that this is another spot where Dontabian Wicks should
- 14:29Speaker 2: be able to thrive. I really like the story that
- 14:31Speaker 2: Sean Mannion shared about Dontabian Wicks and the 64-yarder, what he.
- 14:36Speaker 1: Did in practice. He ran it full speed, full effort,
- 14:40Speaker 1: didn't get the football. But when it came around to
- 14:43Speaker 1: game time, the ball found him.
- 14:45Speaker 2: And he mentioned how emblematic that was of what the
- 14:48Speaker 2: Eagles strive to be as an offense.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Tough, good effort, fundamentally sound.
- 14:53Speaker 2: And I think it really offered a glimpse into Dontavion Wicks,
- 14:57Speaker 2: the person. And that is coupled with the fact that, clearly,
- 15:01Speaker 2: both Sean Mannion and Ryan Mahaffey, who were on the
- 15:04Speaker 2: Green Bay Packers staff, saw enough from Dontavion Wicks in
- 15:08Speaker 2: practice to suggest that he has more to offer in
- 15:11Speaker 2: an expanded role. But that offered a unique insight into
- 15:16Speaker 2: his practice habits and how he approaches it from a
- 15:19Speaker 2: mental perspective.
- 15:20Speaker 4: Even if the ball isn't coming his way, he's going
- 15:23Speaker 4: full speed and I think that was a really important
- 15:28Speaker 4: story to share, and I think he faces a good matchup.
- 15:32Speaker 2: We'll probably see a lot of Cordell Flott, I would imagine.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Alante Tower, of course, comes over from the Saints. He's
- 15:38Speaker 2: an okay player, but I think that the Eagles should
- 15:42Speaker 2: be able to take advantage of that when they do
- 15:44Speaker 2: go to the air. Also, Dallas Goddard, in taking advantage
- 15:47Speaker 2: of that second level, should be able to build off
- 15:50Speaker 2: of his really impressive first outing under Sean Mannion. 77
- 15:55Speaker 2: yards and two touchdowns. Now, I'm not going to sit
- 15:57Speaker 2: here and depict him and think that that's going to
- 16:00Speaker 2: be commonplace every week, but with Jalen Hurts, there's that
- 16:04Speaker 2: built-in trust and camaraderie and chemistry that they've had with
- 16:08Speaker 2: so much time on task that I wouldn't be surprised
- 16:10Speaker 2: if Goddard sees a flurry of targets in this game,
- 16:13Speaker 2: especially if pressure's mounting up the middle.
- 16:16Speaker 1: You want to get the ball to your safety valve.
- 16:18Speaker 2: That is something that you often will see I think
- 16:22Speaker 2: Dallas Goddard finds the end zone in this game. And look,
- 16:26Speaker 2: the way that I'm looking at this game as we
- 16:27Speaker 2: close things out, I think that the Titans don't have
- 16:32Speaker 2: enough there offensively.
- 16:34Speaker 1: There's not enough firepower, or I should say there's not
- 16:37Speaker 1: enough consistency. I like their.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Receivers in Wondell Robinson, who had 1,000 yards last year
- 16:43Speaker 2: for the Giants. They have Carnell Tate. You have Calvin Ridley.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Their running back, Tajay Spears, is someone that you're going
- 16:50Speaker 2: to want to keep an eye on because I think
- 16:51Speaker 2: him as being this... short area, quickness, explosive type of player.
- 16:56Speaker 2: When tackling becomes so paramount, when it's so humid like
- 17:00Speaker 2: that and it's easy for your details to slip and
- 17:03Speaker 2: you get tired, that he's someone that I would keep
- 17:06Speaker 2: an eye on and highlight.
- 17:07Speaker 3: As I've gotten older, I've really tried to concentrate on
- 17:10Speaker 3: my physical health, my body, making sure I'm putting the
- 17:14Speaker 3: right things in and the healthiest things in. I've always
- 17:16Speaker 3: heard about creatine But I wasn't really sure about using
- 17:20Speaker 3: creatine supplements until I did the research to find out
- 17:23Speaker 3: what it was really all about. That's when I found Momentous,
- 17:27Speaker 3: which created Signature Spec Creatine, their most advanced creatine ever,
- 17:32Speaker 3: setting a new standard for creatine quality. It's one of
- 17:36Speaker 3: the only creatines to be manufactured in a pharmaceutical facility
- 17:39Speaker 3: using reverse osmosis water purification and verified through an expanded
- 17:44Speaker 3: six-stage testing process with four independent agencies. They've improved the
- 17:49Speaker 3: product experience with ultra fine powder that mixes effortlessly with
- 17:54Speaker 3: no grit or clumping. Hey, look, I like a good
- 17:57Speaker 3: creatine shake in the afternoon and it's got to taste
- 18:00Speaker 3: good and be smooth. The benefits of creatine are very real.
- 18:03Speaker 3: It supports strength, power, lean muscle growth, recovery, and even
- 18:08Speaker 3: improve cognitive performance. And as I get older, all of
- 18:11Speaker 3: those things are so much more important to me than
- 18:14Speaker 3: They used to be. If you want to try Momentous
- 18:16Speaker 3: Signature Spec Creatine, head to LiveMomentous.com and use code BIRDS

- 18:37Speaker 3: be 30 degrees and I'll be out there grilling burgers
- 18:39Speaker 3: and steaks. But the one thing that I really can't
- 18:42Speaker 3: stand is losing my fish and my veggies because they
- 18:45Speaker 3: just can't grill without falling through. That's why I've been
- 18:49Speaker 3: using Hexclad's BBQ Collection. It's bringing hybrid technology outdoors with
- 18:55Speaker 3: products specifically designed to make grilling easier, especially when you're
- 18:59Speaker 3: cooking foods that normally don't cooperate on a traditional grill.
- 19:03Speaker 3: The hex-clad BBQ grill pan combines the searing power of
- 19:07Speaker 3: stainless steel, durability of cast iron, and the convenience of
- 19:11Speaker 3: nonstick all in one versatile grill pan. They've also launched
- 19:14Speaker 3: their new BBQ grill topper. That gives you even more
- 19:17Speaker 3: control when you're cooking delicate foods like veggies or seafood,
- 19:21Speaker 3: or if you're cooking multiple portions at one time. Last week,
- 19:24Speaker 3: I grilled the best surf and turf my style, which
- 19:28Speaker 3: is salmon and ribs, and lost none of it because
- 19:31Speaker 3: I used... Hexclad's BBQ collection. With over 1 million customers
- 19:35Speaker 3: and more than 50,000 five-star reviews, it's clear people love
- 19:40Speaker 3: cooking with Hexclad. There's a reason Gordon Ramsay uses Hexclad
- 19:43Speaker 3: at his home and in his restaurants, and he's the
- 19:46Speaker 3: toughest critic on the planet. So if you're planning on
- 19:48Speaker 3: spending time behind the grill, this summer, don't make it
- 19:51Speaker 3: harder than it needs to be. Stop losing food through
- 19:53Speaker 3: the grates and upgrade your backyard cooking setup with Hexclad's
- 19:57Speaker 3: BBQ collection. For a limited time only, our listeners get

- 20:15Speaker 1: But apart from that, they don't have a lot there.
- 20:19Speaker 2: From a consistency standpoint, looking at quarterback Cam Ward, their
- 20:23Speaker 2: offensive line's not great. Peter Skowronski, their left guard, is
- 20:26Speaker 2: a really good football player, but I just think collectively
- 20:29Speaker 2: it's just not a very good football team, and I
- 20:31Speaker 2: think the Eagles get out to an early lead. They
- 20:33Speaker 2: control the clock, and they win this game 27-13.
- 20:39Speaker 1: They move on to 2-0.
- 20:40Speaker 2: And then they travel to Chicago to take on the
- 20:43Speaker 2: Chicago Bears.
- 20:44Speaker 1: On Monday Night Football. We'll see what the Eagles do
- 20:47Speaker 1: in terms of their elevations.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Maybe they go for another defensive lineman to bolster that
- 20:52Speaker 2: rotation off the edge. Maybe it's someone like Jake Majors
- 20:56Speaker 2: on the offensive line if they want to go that route.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Maybe they go with no one.
- 20:59Speaker 2: They're pretty well-stocked. Britton Covey, of course, is signed to
- 21:02Speaker 2: the 53, so there's not a lot of obvious answers here.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Josiah DeGuar, the tight end on the practice squad and
- 21:09Speaker 2: more of an H-back type of player, I can't imagine
- 21:11Speaker 2: that he knows all the terminology and the different functions
- 21:15Speaker 2: of the tight end in this offense after having gotten
- 21:17Speaker 2: here just earlier in the week. But he might be
- 21:20Speaker 2: a player to keep an eye on down the line
- 21:22Speaker 2: as someone who can add something to that tight end group.
- 21:24Speaker 2: But that's going to do it for this episode of
- 21:26Speaker 2: the Checko Daily. I'm Andrew DiCecco, and I'll catch you
- 21:29Speaker 2: all on the next one.
