0:00
[SPEAKER_02]: you're now diving into the fish team.
0:26
[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, sir.
0:27
[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, sir.
0:28
[SPEAKER_06]: Welcome back to Fish Tank Live, presented by Van Horne-Logru, Casabella Design Group, Seth Levitt, live from the Casabella Design Group Studios.
0:38
[SPEAKER_06]: I heard somebody can't hear me, but we are on the Dolphins Talk YouTube channel.
0:43
[SPEAKER_06]: I hope we're joined by Superduper, but I know I'm joined by the man with the best hands in a live podcast business.
0:49
[SPEAKER_06]: He is no Jamie Duffy, Juice.
0:51
[SPEAKER_06]: You brought in a super guest tonight and we're going to talk to him for a minute here if he can stick with us on the phone without technical difficulties.
0:58
[SPEAKER_06]: He's always, we've got our producer, the legendary Savak in the house.
1:03
[SPEAKER_06]: And our host, who's been kind enough to open up his doors here for us.
1:07
[SPEAKER_06]: Michael Leva from Dolphins talk with his Syracuse Orange juice.
1:11
[SPEAKER_06]: We got two different oranges rocking today.
1:14
[SPEAKER_04]: I see.
1:14
[SPEAKER_04]: I see.
1:15
[SPEAKER_04]: So let me let me address the elephant of room.
1:18
[SPEAKER_04]: Superduper's as he's the elephant.
1:21
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, man, the fact that he can't, you know, we running through this problem, you know, doing the fish tank all the time with the guys that, you know, aren't 21 anymore, the technology slips out of their fingers, man.
1:34
[SPEAKER_04]: This is a guy that did not, you know, let a lot of paths slip through his hands, but, you know, Duke is, are you there, Duke, you're good?
1:42
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I can hear you now.
1:44
[SPEAKER_04]: Very good, all right, yeah, so okay.
1:47
[SPEAKER_04]: So I mean, I'm excited about this, man.
1:49
[SPEAKER_04]: It's so crazy that, you know, our guests, the guy that, you know, I've known for a long time, but never played with the acceptance, but it's like we played opposite each other, man.
2:00
[SPEAKER_04]: So it was really cool to have him on the night.
2:02
[SPEAKER_04]: And we'll talk some good stuff and stuff tonight.
2:04
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, excited about it.
2:06
[SPEAKER_06]: Do, but I appreciate someone when OJ make tough, he calls and says, well, you go live on our show.
2:12
[SPEAKER_06]: How long are you going to take you to think about before you said yes?
2:19
[SPEAKER_05]: So last week was Chad, now this week, no one can hear Seth.
2:22
[SPEAKER_04]: I love it.
2:24
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, no, can't, yeah, that's okay.
2:27
[SPEAKER_06]: That's okay.
2:28
[SPEAKER_04]: Everybody is going.
2:29
[SPEAKER_06]: I think our show only works if something's not working.
2:33
[SPEAKER_06]: That's what I'm sure we've got to be.
2:34
[SPEAKER_04]: That's part of the charm.
2:35
[SPEAKER_06]: That's part of the charm.
2:36
[SPEAKER_06]: That's right.
2:38
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, when Dup is back with us, let us know.
2:40
[SPEAKER_03]: I keep God, we keep cutting in and out.
2:43
[SPEAKER_06]: All of us are just me.
2:46
[SPEAKER_06]: Somebody else has Dupo, if you can hear him.
2:49
[SPEAKER_03]: He hears Dupo.
2:50
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, I keep cutting in and out.
2:52
[SPEAKER_03]: Hold on, just a minute.
2:53
[SPEAKER_03]: All right, great.
2:54
[SPEAKER_03]: We'll be here, Dupo.
2:55
[SPEAKER_06]: We're ready.
2:55
[SPEAKER_06]: We'll be here.
2:56
[SPEAKER_06]: So in these times, Walmart is getting his Chris Perkins that figured out.
3:02
[SPEAKER_06]: I want to ask you guys to do a few of them survived till he comes back.
3:07
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that's what an honest name.
3:09
[SPEAKER_06]: I could get dangerous.
3:10
[SPEAKER_06]: That could get dangerous.
3:11
[SPEAKER_06]: So I know we're competing with a big address on another channel or I guess every other channel that we're not going to talk about because we don't talk politics on the show, Jimmy Duffy and for me right before we went live the first time.
3:22
[SPEAKER_06]: That's right.
3:24
[SPEAKER_06]: but the big news in the national football league, which certainly led into some news from Miami Dolphins, was that the owners meetings took place in Phoenix, right?
3:33
[SPEAKER_06]: So the owners meetings took place in Phoenix, and all the head coaches were there, all the general managers were there.
3:40
[SPEAKER_06]: So it was like a big field trip for Dolphins' new general manager, John Erick Sullivan, and Jeff Havley.
3:47
[SPEAKER_06]: And I'm hearing a lot of positive feedback.
3:51
[SPEAKER_06]: Everything we're hearing is that they went in there and they impressed folks.
3:55
[SPEAKER_06]: And so I just want to talk to you guys about this.
3:58
[SPEAKER_06]: And I guess, Juice, I'll start with you.
4:00
[SPEAKER_06]: What type of an impression?
4:01
[SPEAKER_06]: How much does it matter?
4:03
[SPEAKER_06]: What the impression is that Jeff Haffley and John Erick Sullivan make on their peers when they're at the owners' meetings?
4:08
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I think it's important, whatever they're saying, moving forward right now, a big step, because nothing they can do about what's going to happen on the football field, right?
4:16
[SPEAKER_04]: So everything they've said so far, every sense to hires, every sense, you know, the combine, every sense of things and free agency, everything they're doing, the owners meetings, you know, they've done it really well, man.
4:28
[SPEAKER_04]: So all we can do and go by is the fact that, you know, what they're saying.
4:33
[SPEAKER_04]: And, you know, we've heard it all before.
4:36
[SPEAKER_04]: You know what I mean, you've heard that song, right?
4:38
[SPEAKER_06]: I have.
4:39
[SPEAKER_04]: And so it's like we got to make sure that, you know, what they're saying matches what happens in, you know, in the fall.
4:45
[SPEAKER_04]: But right now they're doing everything, everything right.
4:49
[SPEAKER_04]: I believe that.
4:50
[SPEAKER_04]: And we've got some, the two guys and, you know, and Sully and half that are, you know, I see them taking pictures for the first time, like Sully taking pictures for the first time with the GMs, half taking first time pictures before the first time with all the
5:07
[SPEAKER_04]: you know, the right things to say, the right things to do, but we got newbies.
5:11
[SPEAKER_04]: We got newbies, but so far, so good on what they're saying and what they're talking about, but we have to bring that into fruition when it comes to what they do on the football field and all the town that we have.
5:23
[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
5:24
[SPEAKER_06]: So, yeah.
5:24
[SPEAKER_06]: And so Mike, Mike, I'll leave a let's ask you, you know, you follow Dolphins News as close as anybody, as there have been any one thing for each guy, any one thing that you heard from Jeff Haffley, any one thing that you heard from John Air Sullivan, that stood out to you with these owners needs.
5:40
[SPEAKER_05]: Sullivan, yes, when he spoke about the offensive line,
5:46
[SPEAKER_05]: He gave praise to Patrick Paul, he gave praise to Aaron Brewer.
5:50
[SPEAKER_05]: He in a low key, very subtle, very professional way, kind of called out Jonah Savaya Naya and Austin Jackson, and kind of was like, you know, one has to be more consistent, one has to stay healthy.
6:02
[SPEAKER_05]: Pretty much there is gonna be competition at right guard, which I know we lost our right guard, but those two guys are kind of like, you gotta be better.
6:11
[SPEAKER_05]: And he didn't heap the praise on them.
6:13
[SPEAKER_05]: He he found the other two who have been consistent, healthy, and performed to the higher level.
6:19
[SPEAKER_05]: So I think what we're seeing is in years past with other people in charge, whether it's a head coach or the general manager, everything's always great.
6:27
[SPEAKER_05]: Everyone's great, it's all great, everything's great.
6:30
[SPEAKER_05]: He's not coming in, he's not playing that game.
6:32
[SPEAKER_05]: He's not playing that game, he's like, these two are great.
6:37
[SPEAKER_05]: These other two have to be better.
6:39
[SPEAKER_05]: And he's saying that in Lake March.
6:42
[SPEAKER_05]: Um, so that one kind of like, oh, okay, if I was those two, you might want to make sure, you know, I doubt there's going to be a lot of veteran rest days in training camp this year for certain people.
6:54
[SPEAKER_05]: And you're going to be out there practicing your butt off and you better play well because again, they didn't draft either one of these guys.
7:01
[SPEAKER_05]: They have no ties to either one of these guys.
7:03
[SPEAKER_05]: And they will be more than happy to put in someone that they brought in in place of one of these guys
7:12
[SPEAKER_05]: it's tough because we haven't seen him in action yet as a head coach but he's saying the right things nothing um you know when he spoke about the while he see we're saying that we have to get some more I mean it's kind of obvious so I don't know if that really stands up so for him it's a little different we're really not gonna know more about him till September anyways but Johnny are solving what he's done with this cap taking all the big hits this year I think a lot of fans like I think how he's got seven picks in the top 94 I think a lot of fans like he's got to hit on the picks
7:41
[SPEAKER_05]: But it's a good first step at least and I think he's saying the right things and he's done a very good month and a half or so on the job so far.
7:50
[SPEAKER_05]: Let's see if that positive momentum can continue.
7:53
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah good good stuff real quick.
7:55
[SPEAKER_06]: I want to do a wellness check on do.
7:57
[SPEAKER_06]: Can you hear us do?
7:59
[SPEAKER_06]: He's on mute now.
8:00
[SPEAKER_06]: He's on mute on mute.
8:01
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know if he can hear us.
8:03
[SPEAKER_06]: Do.
8:03
[SPEAKER_06]: Do.
8:07
[SPEAKER_06]: Can we unmute him?
8:07
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm muted.
8:10
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm muted.
8:11
[SPEAKER_03]: Hello.
8:13
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
8:13
[SPEAKER_06]: We can hear you.
8:14
[SPEAKER_03]: Can hear us.
8:15
[SPEAKER_03]: I heard, I heard some things that I was talking about.
8:21
[SPEAKER_06]: Do you pay any attention to what the dog like when the dolphins new coach and general manager, when they're at the owner's meetings, do you pay any attention to that?
8:29
[SPEAKER_03]: And off the gears.
8:30
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh shit.
8:31
[SPEAKER_04]: So.
8:32
[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, dude, you're going to get you rid of that dowel of shit, man.
8:34
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm tired of this, man.
8:36
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, I was a 1980s computer, shit that got on my phone.
8:43
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, man.
8:44
[SPEAKER_03]: I can't, you know,
8:45
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, it's like I cut me in and out, right, right, right, right, right, right, are you, are you in Florida, Louisiana, Duke.
8:53
[SPEAKER_03]: Little, I mean, I mean, I mean, Florida, about a second, right, yeah, I'm just hearing, and I'm more gay.
9:00
[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
9:01
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, you guys got, I'm gonna talk to your mayor because he was going on because I know I know some mayors around this, you know, I ran into one of my favorite mayors today.
9:11
[SPEAKER_04]: My man AJ Ryan, I ran into today, man.
9:14
[SPEAKER_04]: And you know, he's a great mayor there in Danya and he, I think they've got great Wi-Fi going on over there, man.
9:20
[SPEAKER_04]: So you guys need to talk to your mayor about your Wi-Fi, bro.
9:24
[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's where I'm at as two minute people on the Wi-Fi.
9:29
[SPEAKER_03]: I know it.
9:29
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just waiting for them to, we don't have to pay no, what's called that taxes and a more.
9:35
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to be proud of that.
9:37
[SPEAKER_06]: That's why he's listening to me on the room there.
9:39
[SPEAKER_06]: He's got to be, yes, that's it.
9:40
[SPEAKER_03]: The state is a little broke over the day.
9:42
[SPEAKER_03]: But we have, we don't have to pay taxes and a more.
9:46
[SPEAKER_06]: Dude, I'm not going to get political.
9:47
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just going to say, don't believe everything here.
9:49
[SPEAKER_06]: I was just running at that.
9:52
[SPEAKER_04]: don't believe in doops in that bracket.
9:54
[SPEAKER_04]: We've been trying to attack big Seth, you know what I mean?
9:57
[SPEAKER_04]: We've been trying to get at that doop bracket.
9:58
[SPEAKER_04]: You know, he's still don't let the don't let the time and error he played in fool you about, you know, who knows what super duper?
10:06
[SPEAKER_04]: Because he honestly changes his name officially to super duper, you know, who knows what tax bracket he might be.
10:12
[SPEAKER_04]: He's trying to, you know, who knows?
10:15
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I don't want to pay property tax no more.
10:18
[SPEAKER_04]: I thought that's right.
10:18
[SPEAKER_03]: You shouldn't.
10:19
[SPEAKER_04]: Doesn't matter what you should not do.
10:21
[SPEAKER_04]: You should have, I'm with you on that, man.
10:23
[SPEAKER_03]: But I'm trying to figure out how this, that is stable run.
10:26
[SPEAKER_03]: If you, if, if nobody paid property taxes, this is going to be, this, this is going to be hard to run this state without, they kind of money.
10:34
[SPEAKER_04]: Let me ask you this question, Duke.
10:35
[SPEAKER_04]: When you bought your property, did you pay taxes for it?
10:39
[SPEAKER_03]: That.
10:39
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you pay tax.
10:40
[SPEAKER_04]: So when you brought some Nike shoes, you keep paying taxes on those
10:45
[SPEAKER_03]: That's just a man on the top of his eyes.
10:49
[SPEAKER_03]: That is your property, man.
10:50
[SPEAKER_04]: That's no property, dude.
10:52
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm just saying, man, what's we buying?
10:53
[SPEAKER_04]: We keep it.
10:54
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, that's why I left fantastic acres, man, because I was paying 50 grand a year on that shit, man.
11:01
[SPEAKER_04]: I had to go, bro.
11:02
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I know, I know.
11:03
[SPEAKER_03]: I know that's what I say.
11:04
[SPEAKER_03]: But, I don't know.
11:07
[SPEAKER_03]: Taxes and something that's, you know, it's just like dressing.
11:12
[SPEAKER_03]: If you go in one place, you know, taxes would be, you know, like you say, like what you was playing for the game, you go in another place, it'd be 1500 and stuff like that, you know, but just like, well, I'm back, you know, the tax of the taxes is pretty damn high over here.
11:26
[SPEAKER_03]: But it is what it is, you know, and then you can do it by it.
11:30
[SPEAKER_03]: You pay for it, right?
11:31
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, first of all, I just got a place for it.
11:36
[SPEAKER_03]: I know what you mean.
11:37
[SPEAKER_03]: I have your question.
11:39
[SPEAKER_03]: because you know about the doffers, um, now we have no receivers.
11:46
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, what do you do to have that?
11:48
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I thought that's how you could pay down some of these taxes.
11:51
[SPEAKER_06]: Do you get in there a little bit?
11:54
[SPEAKER_06]: The room is empty, right?
11:55
[SPEAKER_03]: Just a bit back and after that question.
11:58
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, well, I'm gonna tell you this, man.
12:00
[SPEAKER_04]: I am, um, I got one play.
12:03
[SPEAKER_04]: You got a play?
12:05
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, one-and-a-half.
12:07
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, one-and-a-half, one-and-a-half, one-and-a-half, one-and-a-half, one-and-a-half, one-and-a-half, one-and-a-half, one-and-a-half, one-and-a-half, one-and-a-half, one-and-a-half, one-and-a-half, one-and-a-half, one-and-a-half, one-and-a-half, one-and-a-half, one-and-a-half, one-and-a-half, one-and-a-half, one-and-a-half, one-and-a-half, one-and-a-half, one-and-a-half, one-and-a-half, one-and-a-half, one-and-a-half, one-and
12:30
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, Dan wasn't there, but Nat and Ralph were there.
12:33
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, and then O.J.
12:34
[SPEAKER_06]: called, and all of the sudden your Domino's game came up.
12:40
[SPEAKER_06]: So it's me.
12:40
[SPEAKER_06]: I got to stop talking to Duke, because every time I do, it's right.
12:43
[SPEAKER_04]: So, so, so, I'll tell him what it's so, so Duke, you know, Ralph was there.
12:50
[SPEAKER_04]: And Nat was there.
12:51
[SPEAKER_04]: Dan was not there, but you, Nat was telling me, you've been talking to trash about your Domino's game, bro.
12:56
[SPEAKER_04]: So, what, I mean,
12:59
[SPEAKER_03]: What's up with that bro, like honestly, I can't believe you talking trash when I'm already in your pocket, man Yeah, okay, I know we went to we went through this already, but right now we got now we got extra bed on the side We don't see how that goes, but but you know what the thing is that you get me now I'm about $7.00 and then I come back and and beat you for like seven in the row That's kind of good
13:29
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, well, let me give you guys a little history here real quick big set.
13:32
[SPEAKER_04]: I know that we've got to do for a second here.
13:34
[SPEAKER_04]: Let me give you a little history right here, right?
13:36
[SPEAKER_04]: So we went on the dolphin cruise and some people that are probably listening to us that, you know, we're on the dolphin cruise.
13:43
[SPEAKER_04]: We decided, you know, I've been playing Domino's against a couple of my buddies from Ohio.
13:47
[SPEAKER_04]: Another buddy of mine that's, you know, from somewhere in North Carolina.
13:51
[SPEAKER_04]: It's obviously Domino's with them online.
13:53
[SPEAKER_04]: And so I introduced this to Duke and Clayton and Terry Kirby on the cruise that we went on a few years ago, and so we've been playing every since, right?
14:03
[SPEAKER_04]: So we've been playing every since.
14:04
[SPEAKER_04]: So Duke and I, you know, it's friendly betting we bet $5 a game.
14:10
[SPEAKER_04]: We bet $5 a game right and the first one to 100 it recessed the whole game $100 right so if you do the math and carry the one big set that means you got to go up plus 20 right.
14:21
[SPEAKER_04]: You got to go up plus 20, man.
14:22
[SPEAKER_04]: You want you carry the one.
14:24
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
14:25
[SPEAKER_04]: And so let me tell you what happened with me and Duke.
14:27
[SPEAKER_04]: So Duke and I, what's sitting there like playing, playing, playing in the middle of like, the 72 team was on the stage.
14:34
[SPEAKER_04]: And we love the 72 team.
14:36
[SPEAKER_04]: But we've heard most of their stories.
14:38
[SPEAKER_04]: We've heard them all.
14:39
[SPEAKER_04]: We've heard every single story.
14:40
[SPEAKER_04]: And so we mostly've heard them all were like, so we're playing Dominos in the audience, right?
14:44
[SPEAKER_04]: And so we bring this back to the states, once we go off the cruise ship.
14:48
[SPEAKER_04]: And I bust Dupes ass, like I always do in Domino's.
14:52
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,
15:09
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm like going around like, you know, all right, well, wait till I see my person.
15:13
[SPEAKER_04]: So we both are like, for somehow some reason, I had to go to a diagnostic center, get some blood work done and things like that because you know, at our age, we got to make sure we were on point with our stuff.
15:23
[SPEAKER_04]: So I went through three different diagnostic centers and it just happened that the last one I went to, Dupesass was there.
15:32
[SPEAKER_04]: And so he's right about it.
15:35
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, when he came out and got after getting his blood drawn or whatever the hell he was doing I don't know what he was doing back there I'm not gonna speculate go wherever you go back there when he came out.
15:45
[SPEAKER_04]: I was right there and he said my mother fuck
15:51
[SPEAKER_04]: What's our sauce wife in the waiting room I knew his ass is in there and then We popped out that $100 bill we took a picture and now here's the thing about it You know, he's right.
16:01
[SPEAKER_04]: I was woofing his ass again.
16:02
[SPEAKER_04]: I was up like $70 You know, he made it come back, you know, I mean kind of like my hairline.
16:08
[SPEAKER_04]: No like his hairline.
16:09
[SPEAKER_04]: No, not even one of our hairline What he made it come back, you know, and so then he was I was up like $70 Then he got it down the easy
16:18
[SPEAKER_04]: He went on a little role, but I think I'm up now though, do you, right?
16:22
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you're up to your five hours, you know?
16:25
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
16:25
[SPEAKER_04]: And I'm gonna continue to be up, because you'll never come back and catch me in our new bet big step is whoever wins this next one, those two bills.
16:34
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, you know what, when I can't beat you, I got to do a play, Terry Kirby.
16:40
[SPEAKER_06]: You do, you do, you do, you do.
16:41
[SPEAKER_03]: You do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do, you do,
16:48
[SPEAKER_03]: I was playing and then my wife was looking at the phone and she was saying, who are you playing?
16:52
[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm playing Domino.
16:54
[SPEAKER_03]: So I gave her the phone and she was starting, she started beating Taylor Taylor Taylor.
16:58
[SPEAKER_04]: You better watch me, Taylor Taylor.
17:01
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, man.
17:01
[SPEAKER_06]: Naomi, everybody in town.
17:03
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
17:04
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, because I couldn't get Terry to play me anymore, a big savvy.
17:07
[SPEAKER_04]: I know.
17:08
[SPEAKER_03]: He told me, he said, he can't beat you.
17:11
[SPEAKER_03]: He said, he don't want to play you, though, bro.
17:13
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know where you quit.
17:14
[SPEAKER_03]: He said, he quit.
17:16
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you don't play it over.
17:19
[SPEAKER_03]: I guess it's about to do the same thing because you have to play them two days so that's what we play.
17:24
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
17:25
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, too good.
17:26
[SPEAKER_06]: So, Jews, there's a question in the chat from our friend, Sam Marko, from Perfectville, and actually he also said, T.K.
17:33
[SPEAKER_06]: was catching passes and strays, apparently, the way guys are slinging it at him.
17:38
[SPEAKER_06]: But the question in the chat, of course, I just misplaced, it is, Jews, Duper, Clayton, and Nat all show up at the diagnostic center there at the same time.
17:49
[SPEAKER_06]: Who gets to walk in first?
17:51
[SPEAKER_04]: Mr. Moore you know the urgency for the age age always the more urgent, you know, so you were about age first, you know, I'll I'd go in last Doop and Clayton.
18:01
[SPEAKER_04]: They're always fighting for football's you know, so you don't know who's going to get in first But according to duper, you know, Danny threw the ball to to play more than him anyways You know, gave more opportunity.
18:12
[SPEAKER_04]: So I think Duke gets an opportunity going first because Clayton got more opportunities on the field So that's that's what I think is happening right there big set
18:21
[SPEAKER_03]: Duped, do you co-sign on this?
18:23
[SPEAKER_03]: I was talking about, I heard the last.
18:25
[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, I'll do.
18:26
[SPEAKER_04]: So, Duped, and we going to a diagnostic center, you know what I mean?
18:30
[SPEAKER_04]: It's me, you, Nat, and Clayton, you know, who gets it going first and why?
18:37
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it would be Nat, me, Clayton, and then you.
18:41
[SPEAKER_04]: Why am I last, Duped?
18:44
[SPEAKER_03]: Because you're the youngest.
18:49
[SPEAKER_03]: straight away.
18:52
[SPEAKER_04]: Why are you second in?
18:55
[SPEAKER_03]: Because I'm second to the oldest.
18:57
[SPEAKER_03]: That is girl.
18:58
[SPEAKER_04]: It's all about eight.
18:59
[SPEAKER_04]: It's all about eight.
19:00
[SPEAKER_03]: It's all about eight.
19:02
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
19:02
[SPEAKER_03]: That's what it is.
19:03
[SPEAKER_03]: That's too good.
19:04
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, Mark asked a great question about these.
19:08
[SPEAKER_06]: The dolphins receive a room.
19:10
[SPEAKER_06]: And Jeff Haffley was asked the same thing.
19:12
[SPEAKER_03]: You got a tenement with his saying.
19:14
[SPEAKER_06]: I didn't turn before you.
19:16
[SPEAKER_06]: I didn't turn before you.
19:17
[SPEAKER_06]: So, so what's interesting is, you know, it's not quite Chris Greer saying, you guys are more in, you know, you guys are more worried about the offensive line than we are, but he basically said, hey, we're going to get there, right?
19:29
[SPEAKER_06]: And he brought up the draft, so he made it very clear that there's some receivers are looking at the draft.
19:35
[SPEAKER_06]: And he said that, you know, whether it was free agency or they're expecting to get some other guys, but halfway was kind of like, hey, just just a whole
19:44
[SPEAKER_06]: So when you did you hear that today Jews?
19:46
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know if you heard.
19:47
[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, what are your thoughts when you Other than that sexist hand a little bit.
19:51
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, yeah, you could tell do what yeah, yeah, we're talking about the receiver room right now Doop and not you know what they talked about Pulling the water on you know, you've a room.
20:00
[SPEAKER_04]: I think my think my my thought about the receiver room is this You know Mark Dooper and Mark Clayton weren't first round picks or second round picks or third round picks or fourth round picks You know what I mean?
20:11
[SPEAKER_04]: I think that
20:14
[SPEAKER_06]: It's a duplas, he was a second round pack.
20:17
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a second round pack.
20:18
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a second round pack.
20:19
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a second round pack.
20:22
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a second round pack.
20:23
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a second round pack.
20:24
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a second round pack.
20:25
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a second round pack.
20:26
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a second round pack.
20:27
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a second round pack.
20:28
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a second round pack.
20:29
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a second round pack.
20:30
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a second round pack.
20:31
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a second round pack.
20:32
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a second round pack.
20:33
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a second round pack.
20:34
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a second round pack.
20:35
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a second round pack.
20:37
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a second round pack.
20:38
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a second round pack.
20:39
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a second round pack.
20:40
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a second round pack.
20:41
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a second round pack.
20:41
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a second round pack.
20:42
[SPEAKER_04]: No, you said you told me do told me had a rich her year, do you know, he said shoot.
20:48
[SPEAKER_04]: I let do say it, but you know, do you have a rich her year in the pros, which is hard to come by any more, you know?
20:54
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's the only way.
20:56
[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't know anything about football, just that.
20:59
[SPEAKER_03]: I'd never get that with, um, um, when it's done last cut day.
21:04
[SPEAKER_03]: I was the first one in the locker room, but yeah, you see a little bit of a locker room that we used to be well.
21:11
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I did.
21:12
[SPEAKER_03]: I was the first one there and then I kept looking around and then you know, a little car passing.
21:19
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a little weasel, a little weasel, but you walk around tapping on the shoulder and let you know and say,
21:32
[SPEAKER_03]: And I said, he looked at me and said, oh, I don't, you're okay, he said, don't worry.
21:37
[SPEAKER_03]: You said, we'll give you a year.
21:40
[SPEAKER_03]: I said, okay, yeah, thank you.
21:42
[SPEAKER_03]: I was half a day in my life.
21:44
[SPEAKER_04]: Wait man, dude, dude, so they went duck, duck, goose on the cuffs, back in the day, man, like duck, duck, duck, duck, my head, oh my god.
21:52
[SPEAKER_03]: That's what they used to do.
21:54
[SPEAKER_03]: They used to go by your locker, you know, you sit, you sit down and get ready to go to the meeting.
21:59
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, you guys go to the meeting.
22:01
[SPEAKER_03]: Every time before you go to practice field and before the meeting in the morning, our tassies to walk around this little note pad and tap your on the shoulder.
22:12
[SPEAKER_03]: That's a brand new playbook.
22:15
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and they fold your chair up, man, because back then they had fold up chairs and hooks or nails for locker room.
22:22
[SPEAKER_04]: But dude, here's the question to you, though.
22:25
[SPEAKER_04]: You know, like everybody's a little worried about our wide receiver room right now.
22:29
[SPEAKER_04]: And I'm not as concerned because I know that we can find a town like yourself in the second round and Clayton, I think was the eighth round guy or whatever it was for Clayton.
22:39
[SPEAKER_04]: And I know there's always town in the wide receiver.
22:41
[SPEAKER_04]: I think there's more town in now in the league.
22:44
[SPEAKER_04]: or in college when it comes to wireless users, because everybody's doing these seven on sevens and things like that.
22:49
[SPEAKER_04]: So I'm not as concerned about the wireless fever room, considering we have two first, a second, four thirds where you can always go out there and find some town, because there's a bunch of wireless users out there.
23:01
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, they're capable of going out here and making plays and that I don't know if we lost you people It looks frozen like my son did Was he you put it my son put a still frame of himself during COVID and you would sleep while the teacher was doing That's genius
23:20
[SPEAKER_04]: But look, that's how I look with Duke.
23:22
[SPEAKER_04]: So yeah, so Duke, so what do you think about the Ryves Heaver Room now?
23:25
[SPEAKER_04]: That we don't have water, we don't have, you know, our entire real kill.
23:30
[SPEAKER_04]: We asked for young guys and there's really no, we're considered probably the worst Ryves Heaver room in the league right now.
23:37
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, well, well, first of all that, I want to make a little joke about it.
23:41
[SPEAKER_03]: So, you know, it's going to take another four years before the break out of Ryves, you know that.
23:47
[SPEAKER_03]: You can't say that two years or three years and break the records that we have.
23:54
[SPEAKER_03]: No, my biggest concern.
23:56
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm like you choose.
23:57
[SPEAKER_03]: I like what they're doing and everything else at the field.
24:02
[SPEAKER_03]: But the most big thing what they don't have to replace is the offensive lineman.
24:09
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, if you get to a good offensive line in a little corner back and sit back that and read and throw the football.
24:16
[SPEAKER_03]: Like you say, we can get some talent in the draft or we can a matter of fact, a couple of backups that they didn't do nothing with right now.
24:24
[SPEAKER_03]: They look like they fit for the good.
24:27
[SPEAKER_03]: So I say the offensive line, get that together with the quarterback that they made a commitment on rather that we know who's going to be the quarterback.
24:37
[SPEAKER_03]: So, and then put some guys.
24:40
[SPEAKER_03]: Most of it, I think I would go out to Taitan's.
24:47
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, for years too late, you know, that's the easiest that's the easiest path in the world in the middle.
24:53
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, throwing the ball and then the Taitan, there's a bigger target and stuff like that.
24:57
[SPEAKER_03]: But I think, I think Taitan's making a lot of good moves, but you know, like you say, you only can,
25:04
[SPEAKER_03]: It's on a good move on this, they work out and come set them and we will find out exactly what's going on with them.
25:13
[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely.
25:14
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, we definitely will.
25:15
[SPEAKER_06]: So since we're talking about wide receivers, John Erick Sullivan was also asked about the decision he made with the guy who was the dolphin star wide receiver or the least the only one that was left in jail and water.
25:28
[SPEAKER_03]: To what he say.
25:31
[SPEAKER_06]: don't tell you just a minute.
25:32
[SPEAKER_06]: So Mike, what did you think about the transparency that we heard from John Erick Sullivan when he was asked about the decision to trade jail and water?
25:43
[SPEAKER_05]: Transparency is always good and let's the fans know and let's the media know what's going through his mind, why he's making these moves.
25:50
[SPEAKER_05]: And I think that trade was just too good to turn down.
25:53
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean,
25:58
[SPEAKER_05]: Waddle and why does a great player no one's gonna say anything bad about him.
26:01
[SPEAKER_05]: He's getting close to O. J. Stats But you had to go.
26:04
[SPEAKER_05]: I'll know that New they got to go do they got to go It's an inch enough.
26:12
[SPEAKER_05]: I know J. Stats.
26:13
[SPEAKER_05]: I got to go but all joking aside
26:16
[SPEAKER_05]: His salary cap was about to jump to like 33 million next year, something like that, which is a lot of money for a lot of, and I think he wants to keep this salary cap in a healthy spot, not just, you know, next year and obviously not this year because they're taking all the dead money on, but by the time we're going to be good again, which is probably 28ish.
26:40
[SPEAKER_05]: What, like, once again, he didn't draft a bottle.
26:44
[SPEAKER_05]: These guys, he's moving on from, he didn't draft, he didn't sign or anything like that.
26:50
[SPEAKER_05]: So he has no ties to them, like Chris Greer did, Mike McDaniel, or even the fans have ties to players.
26:57
[SPEAKER_05]: He doesn't have that emotional ties these guys.
26:59
[SPEAKER_05]: So move on, get the extra.
27:02
[SPEAKER_05]: It's used me, first round pick, who you have a five year, very,
27:07
[SPEAKER_05]: effective salary cap thing.
27:09
[SPEAKER_05]: I no matter who you pick with that pick and it makes more sense long term to take that
27:14
[SPEAKER_05]: round one pick there and move on.
27:18
[SPEAKER_05]: So I don't hate to pick.
27:20
[SPEAKER_05]: I think I mean it makes sense what he did essentially is what I'm trying to say and I think China itself and again he's thinking big picture is nothing in short term.
27:29
[SPEAKER_05]: You know if we win however many games this year, I know it'll be rough in those months where we're sitting out every Sunday to watch but he's
27:38
[SPEAKER_05]: let me set us up in a way to win that in a while.
27:41
[SPEAKER_05]: I might not be a part of that at that time.
27:43
[SPEAKER_05]: So I get it and I think him just being honest about it is the best policy.
27:49
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, and I, you know,
27:52
[SPEAKER_06]: Look, I think if you look at the history of the way the Packers draft the wide receivers, they don't like the, which is funny to have juice and, and, and do appear.
28:00
[SPEAKER_06]: But they don't like the quote on quote smaller wide receivers, right?
28:03
[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
28:03
[SPEAKER_06]: Typically like to find bigger guys.
28:06
[SPEAKER_06]: And clearly, he doesn't like to pay people who are in their 30s.
28:10
[SPEAKER_06]: He doesn't like to pay big money to guys who are in their 30s and so he said that He's 27 years old.
28:17
[SPEAKER_06]: He's gonna want a new contract and Kind of felt that we're not gonna be good for another couple of years and they're ready not that they're tanking But they understand that they they're gonna have to take their lumps and he felt like the best years of Water are going to be wasted on a team that's just trying to figure itself out again
28:40
[SPEAKER_06]: We haven't heard anybody talk like that here in the decade plus.
28:46
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
28:46
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
28:47
[SPEAKER_04]: And it's nice.
28:48
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
28:48
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
28:48
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
28:49
[SPEAKER_04]: It is nice.
28:49
[SPEAKER_04]: And and and do Jeff was talking about how, you know, we got receivers that are getting up and age and I know that Mike talked about, you know, the fact that we had, you know, a great opportunity when you get a first and a third for receiver when some other, you know, assets, you know, don't don't don't don't go on at that type of
29:07
[SPEAKER_04]: You know, that type of stuff back from them.
29:10
[SPEAKER_04]: And, you know, I think that we're not gonna be very good, like Seth was talking about, you know, we're figuring that we're not gonna be very good for well.
29:17
[SPEAKER_04]: And I just agree with Mike a little bit in terms of like 2028.
29:21
[SPEAKER_04]: And I think Maya tried to tell y'all might be a little different in what Mike's talking about.
29:25
[SPEAKER_04]: But, I think that no matter what, if we can address some of those things in the offices in a virus, even room, we'll be okay.
29:35
[SPEAKER_04]: Um, um, but same time though, when you get assets like we got for water that we knew that we had to move on from time reek, um, I think that we're going to be, you know, having some of these young guys that are going to be hungry, yeah, you got, I think they're making a move and might keep the equipment from wrong for one of the why we see it from green bay.
29:54
[SPEAKER_04]: it's been rumored.
29:55
[SPEAKER_04]: It's been rumored, right?
29:56
[SPEAKER_04]: It's been rumored.
29:58
[SPEAKER_04]: And that usually helps out a lot, like same thing Aaron Rogers did with a couple of guys from Green Bay, I think he went after, you know, and that's always that familiarity thing.
30:06
[SPEAKER_04]: And I know also when we talk about a guy like, you know, Malik Willis, you also have Hathley who saw Malik Willis perform, but
30:15
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, about some of the offensive weapons that he might have been playing, or that were some of the guys that were doing scout team as well, that he liked along the way, too, that were doing things against his defense, too.
30:24
[SPEAKER_04]: So with that being said, do you know, what do you think about the fact that we've moved on from some of these wire receivers, up in AIDS, and you know, they moved off me when I was up in AIDS, they moved on from you when you're up in AIDS, you know, me.
30:38
[SPEAKER_04]: How do you feel about that situation where, you know, honestly, you know, and, and they have no alliance, you know, you had a love for with Shula that that changed, but these guys that are coming in now as head coach and GM, they don't have any, like, alliance to any of the guys that are on a roster right now.
30:57
[SPEAKER_03]: Right, yeah, like, like, now there's a different ball game and the thing is that
31:08
[SPEAKER_03]: Supposed to do supposed to bring his people in that because the people that's that now It really wasn't getting the job done no matter you can call it you can say it was coaching It was players who's never it was but the job wasn't done so I Mean personally I thought I'd do like what he's doing No with the team.
31:30
[SPEAKER_03]: He's putting his people in that Now I'm like to say that
31:37
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't take it's gonna take like year 28 for that.
31:41
[SPEAKER_03]: I think, I think in the next couple of years, I think the doctor may, it might be, they might do a good job this year, you know, because if you look at New England, you know, day, that's two year, that's a two year plan, right there.
31:54
[SPEAKER_03]: You look at Seattle, that's the same thing, that's a two year plan.
31:58
[SPEAKER_03]: Why can't we do the same thing?
32:00
[SPEAKER_03]: Let's open it, let's open it, open it, and thank you, and you know, and pray that, you know,
32:07
[SPEAKER_03]: they care together and they are accomplished something.
32:11
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I agree.
32:12
[SPEAKER_04]: All right, great.
32:14
[SPEAKER_04]: I agree.
32:14
[SPEAKER_04]: It's the league is like that, man.
32:17
[SPEAKER_04]: We hope, and we've talked about this on the show before that we all think agree that what Green Bay has done in the past has worked.
32:28
[SPEAKER_04]: And if they can bring that same philosophy and that same way of doing things here, I think it'll work out for us as well.
32:35
[SPEAKER_04]: We talked about earlier in the show before that bread far from the
32:42
[SPEAKER_04]: And then Rogers, you know, and then, you know, then they bring in, you know, they bring in love before us to late, you know, and then they bring in milk willus before us to late.
32:53
[SPEAKER_04]: You know, and so, but love, you know, it's a great situation for them there, but we also found out that McWills can play.
32:59
[SPEAKER_04]: So, I think they do a great job of getting, I think Bell checked it a well, New England too, but getting guys in to replace guys and get rid of guys before it's too late to get rid of guys.
33:09
[SPEAKER_04]: So, I think that's a great philosophy that they're going right right now.
33:13
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, especially this day, and these, because, you know, like you say that, I mean, like, in my career,
33:20
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm in the people you see now that stays at a team for like 12 years, 11 years, 14 years.
33:27
[SPEAKER_03]: You don't see that in the morning.
33:28
[SPEAKER_06]: That's not happening.
33:29
[SPEAKER_03]: And then I don't think that's going to be based on the first you can actually see that.
33:34
[SPEAKER_03]: And now it's getting like with the quarterback, you know, not even the quarterback too.
33:40
[SPEAKER_03]: Two, three years, four years that they've been moving along.
33:44
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's that the game's changed, man.
33:46
[SPEAKER_03]: I'll tell you what, they definitely gave the change the hell of a lot.
33:51
[SPEAKER_06]: And the money, the money is just so big in the way the contracts are evolving, you almost can't keep guys for too long, you know, you just end up in a situation like the dolphins are in right now.
34:02
[SPEAKER_06]: And granted, they fast-tracked their way there with that ridiculous contract that they gave you to.
34:07
[SPEAKER_06]: But that's what happens is that you just can't, you can't have guys stay and develop or at least not too many of them because they outgrow what you're able to
34:17
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
34:17
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I mean, and, and, and whoop, yeah, whoop, we're talking.
34:20
[SPEAKER_04]: Suffolzans, it's, it's, it's, like, I mean, it's, like, I mean, it's, like, I mean, it's, like, I mean, it's, like, I mean, it's, like, I mean, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
34:32
[SPEAKER_04]: You know, with the money that's out there right now for these guys, it's hard to keep these guys long-term, especially when you got guys like Seth said we're with Tua, we're such a big Biden apple of what we're doing here.
34:45
[SPEAKER_04]: So, and then it's also like, dude, you were at the beginning, you were at the beginning of what free agency was.
34:52
[SPEAKER_04]: You know, right?
34:53
[SPEAKER_04]: So, yeah, you were stuck no matter what.
34:55
[SPEAKER_04]: We're now days guys get through the contracts and the free A&C's, like, the dolphins owned your rights for your base of your whole career, didn't they?
35:04
[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly, when I played, we didn't have free A&C, but what they do, all the best class, we did have free A&C with all the best class would be, they put a hold on you.
35:17
[SPEAKER_03]: And which means that you can't negotiate, you can't do nothing with no team.
35:21
[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm not a fact, you know, I miss, I know I miss the lawsuit, but they did, I think it's a Reggie White lawsuit that was one that players at that time, that couldn't move to another team and they kept you there because they put you on that process, that protected roster.
35:43
[SPEAKER_03]: But now that's, I mean, it's like,
35:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, you know, you have one great, yeah, you have two great years in when your contract is up, you can negotiate, you know, and I think that's, that's one of the reasons why it's like that.
35:57
[SPEAKER_03]: And it's going to be hard to keep a team.
36:10
[SPEAKER_03]: uh... mob in the haver is harris and uh... what's his name that and james yeah i mean it was a so many years you're not going to see that no more phone records he'd come nation of more in the NFL yeah what we get two and a half years of tyree can water i mean it's yeah right just get it i think it what do you think about it so it's just what you're discussing and do part of the deal with this but you did juice
36:39
[SPEAKER_06]: When there is a change for veteran players who have been with a team for a few years and then there is a change with a new head coach and now especially with the new head coach and new general manager.
36:48
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I just heard Jeff Haffley talk about how he was excited to get the players in the building that they haven't had their hands on the players and that's something they've been looking forward to.
36:57
[SPEAKER_06]: And when you're a player for the first time walking into a building when all of this transition has happened and for you juice that was a transition from Shula to Jimmy Johnson.
37:06
[SPEAKER_06]: What is that like walking into that building not really knowing how long if you're going to be the next guy?
37:12
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you know, and here's the thing about it.
37:15
[SPEAKER_04]: So do we're asking about like and like I said, do we have to go through that change?
37:19
[SPEAKER_04]: So yeah, he has shool at a whole time, but going into the building when you have shool or whatever hit, coach you have these guys have McDaniel now they're on to the halfway
37:28
[SPEAKER_04]: You know, going into that building as a, you're like a newbie big says, you're like a newbie, you've got to show and prove all over again to a bunch of guys, you know, to me that that don't really know you and have no allegiance, no alliance, no anything with you.
37:44
[SPEAKER_04]: and they know they come in knowing that their cat is a mess.
37:50
[SPEAKER_04]: So, especially the guys that are making the big money, do what's making big money, do what's making a gazillion dollars a year.
37:57
[SPEAKER_04]: Gazillion dollars in the dolphins.
37:58
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, make it a gazillion dollars a year.
38:00
[SPEAKER_06]: That's why it's in that high tax bracket juice.
38:02
[SPEAKER_04]: Right, that's why it wants, that's why you like the census right now, you know, me wants to make sure that the census gets rid of this, just property taxes, you know what I mean?
38:10
[SPEAKER_03]: They wouldn't, they wouldn't plan us nothing back then.
38:14
[SPEAKER_03]: I would tell you, the salary jumped up so high.
38:19
[SPEAKER_03]: The year that I was in 1992, that's when the salary jumped up very high.
38:25
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that's the creation going on there.
38:28
[SPEAKER_03]: I missed the boat.
38:29
[SPEAKER_03]: I missed the boat.
38:30
[SPEAKER_03]: He couldn't hang on, I don't think he could do what I got to do.
38:32
[SPEAKER_04]: Right.
38:33
[SPEAKER_04]: He tried.
38:34
[SPEAKER_04]: He tried one more year, big set.
38:36
[SPEAKER_04]: He tried to get in.
38:37
[SPEAKER_04]: And, you know, we all did, man.
38:39
[SPEAKER_04]: I think the salary the salary cap for us back then like when Duke talked was talking about my my rookie year was like 49 million dollars now.
38:48
[SPEAKER_04]: It's over as Mike Alivo, you know, you know, you know, told us it's over $300 million now.
38:54
[SPEAKER_04]: on salary.
38:55
[SPEAKER_04]: That's 250 plus if you carry the one big set on how the salary cap is changed since we played, you know?
39:04
[SPEAKER_04]: And so I mean, it's crazy how, you know, when you start looking at numbers, X and O's and then also the free agency, you know, the guys that even guys that get trends.
39:15
[SPEAKER_04]: Is there a transition tag anymore, Mike?
39:17
[SPEAKER_04]: there is but it's not used a lot okay that's a franchise tag it's yours more yeah right that franchise tag is like stupid money right that's the average of what the top three guys five yeah okay but that transition somewhere okay so top five guys at your position the wide receivers
39:41
[SPEAKER_04]: I'll tell somebody do, would you tell somebody, you know, if I'm on a, if I'm on a else, please tag me on a, on a franchise tag on a top five money that they're making as a wire receiver, because that money is fully guaranteed, right?
39:57
[SPEAKER_04]: So, and they're making what 30 to 40 million dollars a year, let me go and get that.
40:02
[SPEAKER_03]: Let me get that, dude.
40:07
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't want somebody to guess my first year and I played with the dolphin how much did I make that year.
40:15
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm gonna say 52,000.
40:16
[SPEAKER_03]: You was close for a thousand.
40:21
[SPEAKER_03]: Wow.
40:21
[SPEAKER_03]: I wasn't close.
40:22
[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't close.
40:24
[SPEAKER_03]: But it was so, it was so funny.
40:26
[SPEAKER_03]: It was like, it was 100,000 miles down in bonus.
40:31
[SPEAKER_03]: And I was a second round drop pick, 52 pick in the drop.
40:35
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, if you calculate the 52-pick in the draft mound, second round, he'd make more money.
40:43
[SPEAKER_03]: On the signing balls, I made him a whole damn love of years of career that I played to my end of the top.
40:50
[SPEAKER_03]: That's that is something though, you know.
40:52
[SPEAKER_03]: But you know, but you know, you can't, and everybody said, well, how do you feel about that?
40:56
[SPEAKER_03]: I feel great, you know what I mean?
40:58
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not the game, but I don't want nobody because cause I'm not the game and that doesn't mean that the players should get punished because we're out of the game.
41:07
[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's great that they're making it, that they're making a lot of money like that.
41:11
[SPEAKER_03]: But I tell you that the game is changing so much, especially when it comes on the money.
41:17
[SPEAKER_03]: And then especially when it comes on like what I like about it is that once you make the team,
41:23
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, they can cut you and that's it.
41:26
[SPEAKER_03]: You still get your whole salary.
41:28
[SPEAKER_03]: Some people think that you have a bad game, but you have to be the first one to ask me if you've got your money gone, that's it.
41:36
[SPEAKER_03]: It's all over.
41:39
[SPEAKER_04]: Hey dude, I was the first person in line for my check when they was trying to cut my ass, man.
41:44
[SPEAKER_04]: I promised to that you know Yeah, wouldn't it wouldn't direct the positive back then, man?
41:49
[SPEAKER_04]: And you know, I think everything's all relative, dude Like you talk about we look at guys like Paul Warfield who made nothing close to what we made right
42:00
[SPEAKER_04]: Right, and then you did not, and then of course you and you and Clay, and what you made and I thought I was doing pretty well And you know, so it's all about it's all relative to the time when you play and you know what's going on and you know You're trying to make as many bucks as you can as you go along But like you said that's what that when that phrase and came in that's when everything kicked in you know That's that Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh,
42:29
[SPEAKER_03]: But the only thing I don't like about this, it would guess me is that for the love of football.
42:35
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I played football.
42:37
[SPEAKER_03]: I know I played for the money to know it'd be wrong.
42:40
[SPEAKER_03]: But, play for the game.
42:44
[SPEAKER_03]: Do you know, I played with a broken hand for a whole year, I broke it in pre-season.
42:50
[SPEAKER_03]: 1985, that's when we went to the Super Bowl, I think.
42:54
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no, no, that was eight to me.
42:55
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, 1984, I broke my hand.
42:58
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, now I'm just saying, hey, you break your hand.
43:00
[SPEAKER_03]: They have for the whole year.
43:02
[SPEAKER_03]: They have for the whole season.
43:03
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, it's like, it's nothing.
43:07
[SPEAKER_03]: I used to hate this.
43:08
[SPEAKER_03]: I tell O.T.
43:09
[SPEAKER_03]: this all the time.
43:10
[SPEAKER_03]: I say, you run a fly powder going down the field.
43:17
[SPEAKER_03]: And then, and also, and you see this, they're waving, you're waving.
43:21
[SPEAKER_03]: The fuck they're waving, excuse my name.
43:25
[SPEAKER_03]: We're waving.
43:28
[SPEAKER_03]: To the hub, it's third down.
43:31
[SPEAKER_03]: We had received, that's what I couldn't understand about the culture stuff.
43:35
[SPEAKER_03]: Don't get me wrong, I love McDonald.
43:37
[SPEAKER_03]: I thought he was a great guy.
43:39
[SPEAKER_03]: It's personality and everything.
43:42
[SPEAKER_03]: But I could never understand how your receivers on third down.
43:48
[SPEAKER_03]: You got back up, isn't it?
43:50
[SPEAKER_03]: Don't you think that's a special plate?
43:53
[SPEAKER_06]: Pretty, right?
43:53
[SPEAKER_03]: That's something that you're trying to do.
43:56
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, because for down the league, you can put the ball on unless you're going to do what Detroit do, you know, that's why it moves all the time.
44:05
[SPEAKER_03]: I got a friend of mine as a Detroit Detroit fan.
44:10
[SPEAKER_03]: And I said, you know what, that's why when you every time he gets in the playoff, that's why he's not going to win.
44:18
[SPEAKER_03]: board down anything or four down behind the 50 yard line.
44:21
[SPEAKER_03]: You can forget it.
44:22
[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody's happy with that again, you know.
44:24
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
44:25
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
44:25
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
44:25
[SPEAKER_04]: You're right, dude.
44:26
[SPEAKER_04]: I mean.
44:27
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
44:28
[SPEAKER_04]: So it's a whole different world, man.
44:30
[SPEAKER_06]: You know.
44:30
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
44:31
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I was going to say, ask to when when did he fall in love with the sport because he didn't play that much football, right?
44:38
[SPEAKER_06]: But it's a tough track.
44:39
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm so fast.
44:40
[SPEAKER_06]: I wonder when he fell in love with it.
44:42
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so, dude, Seth wants me to ask you, when did you fall in love with the game?
44:46
[SPEAKER_04]: When did you, when did you fall in love with football, man?
44:49
[SPEAKER_04]: Because we know you didn't grow with the sport, so when did you fall in love with it?
44:53
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, you, I, I said in love with the game.
44:57
[SPEAKER_03]: When I was, uh, and I was running track in, uh, I had not Western.
45:02
[SPEAKER_03]: After my track, after my track work, I used to go to the state and watch him practice football because I never played football, you know, I didn't play high school football, and I went to Wisconsin, I was on the scholarship for a track for four years, and that's the major
45:29
[SPEAKER_03]: He said, well, shit, man, what was you when you came into the lead?
45:32
[SPEAKER_03]: I said, that's not your bins, but I was 23.
45:37
[SPEAKER_03]: That was a old one because they were registered, you know, right.
45:40
[SPEAKER_03]: That's it.
45:41
[SPEAKER_03]: But I certainly love when I've we subtracted, so it's so free to listen.
45:45
[SPEAKER_03]: And I said, man, this game is really easy.
45:48
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I used to run Rouse, he's a catch over a hundred balls a day with Joe Ferguson That not what I said, you know, that's called a back, you know, for Buffalo.
45:57
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
45:58
[SPEAKER_03]: Great.
45:58
[SPEAKER_03]: I felt in love with that game when that, when it was like, you know, just running all the time, catching a football and this and that, and everybody had a problem catching the ball.
46:09
[SPEAKER_03]: But I never had a problem catching the ball.
46:12
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, it was come, come, face nature.
46:16
[SPEAKER_03]: And I told somebody, I said, you know what, man, I think I'm a bummer, that's what I'm going to do.
46:20
[SPEAKER_03]: I want to play football for the make of living.
46:22
[SPEAKER_03]: And they thought I was joking, and I said, a whole summer, working out.
46:27
[SPEAKER_03]: And that's when I fell in love with playing football, because that's the art of the game.
46:33
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, running routes, getting open, you know, beating is always the challenge that gives me a whole one.
46:38
[SPEAKER_04]: right do so my question to you is this how do you get on the radar for football when you weren't playing football how do you how do you get noticed how do you recognize being a track guy and got an opportunity to be a second round pick and football.
46:51
[SPEAKER_03]: Well back in the day then you could go we used to go to Detroit for a combined.
46:59
[SPEAKER_03]: And so I went, I went to Detroit for a company.
47:03
[SPEAKER_03]: Didn't have all this, you know, like the half nine, no TVs and all that and crack up, you know.
47:09
[SPEAKER_03]: And Coach Schueler was there.
47:11
[SPEAKER_03]: And that's when Orlando McDonnelly is my quick.
47:15
[SPEAKER_03]: It was all those great, why receivers got drafted in the first round and high, second round.
47:24
[SPEAKER_03]: And Schueler was looking for a why receiver.
47:26
[SPEAKER_03]: So I was running the combine so I had nobody my quick and nobody ran for this.
47:34
[SPEAKER_03]: So I ran my for this.
47:36
[SPEAKER_03]: So I ran a full two three Of for your dash and and the coaches was that everybody was looking around and so co suits looking around.
47:46
[SPEAKER_03]: So she'll actually run it again.
47:48
[SPEAKER_03]: So you know,
47:49
[SPEAKER_03]: Most players, you know, on a big night, they wouldn't run and they wouldn't do anything.
47:54
[SPEAKER_03]: So I said, nah, I don't shit.
47:55
[SPEAKER_03]: I just came up to track for you, but I was happy to do all that.
47:59
[SPEAKER_03]: Because you know, I was in shape.
48:01
[SPEAKER_03]: So I ran the Ford again.
48:03
[SPEAKER_03]: I ran up 435.
48:05
[SPEAKER_03]: And I ran a 429.
48:11
[SPEAKER_03]: And I ran about 440s.
48:12
[SPEAKER_03]: And so.
48:14
[SPEAKER_03]: to look like it that.
48:15
[SPEAKER_03]: So we was catching footballs.
48:18
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, call the back one to throw the football.
48:21
[SPEAKER_03]: But nobody wanted to run the route.
48:23
[SPEAKER_03]: So you know, like they was no, they was first round second round.
48:26
[SPEAKER_03]: So I run them.
48:26
[SPEAKER_03]: So I ran the route.
48:28
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm I'm I'm running everybody.
48:30
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm I'm about running every quarter back and they drop back and throw the foot.
48:35
[SPEAKER_03]: So I used to reach back and I catch the ball.
48:37
[SPEAKER_03]: So co-suit accident, we say, hey, could you do me a favor?
48:41
[SPEAKER_03]: I say, well, I said, so
48:43
[SPEAKER_03]: He said, I want you to catch the ball over your shoulder, and I say, over my shoulder, I say, okay, so the quarterback, we're grand down the field, quarterback through the football, we're sitting on the through me again.
48:56
[SPEAKER_03]: So I slow down, I lean way back, and I caught the ball over my shoulder, and I came back.
49:04
[SPEAKER_03]: And then I closed, I seen, I mean, when I was back, I seen a smile from here to
49:10
[SPEAKER_03]: And then he came up and told me, said, do you want to play football?
49:13
[SPEAKER_03]: I said, yes, let's show him.
49:15
[SPEAKER_03]: Why not?
49:16
[SPEAKER_03]: And he said, yeah, it's OK.
49:18
[SPEAKER_03]: But we're going to try to draft you, but they're going to draft me in the fourth round on the fifth round.
49:25
[SPEAKER_03]: But they find it goes to the final realized that because you know Buffalo against the dolphin, that's just right every year.
49:34
[SPEAKER_03]: he realized that I was going to get drafted by Buffalo because so first that put in the good word and they was about to tick me in the third round and go through the scocial look to that second round that you took Roy falser and then drafted me in the second round and that ain't no shit, excuse my names again, nothing about football, nothing at all the best football.
50:02
[SPEAKER_03]: I stayed hurt the whole time I was in camp, they used to call me the slowest fastest manning man.
50:09
[SPEAKER_03]: I used to hate that.
50:11
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you know, they made me run, they made me run full three quarters in camp.
50:19
[SPEAKER_03]: saying that because it was calling my time, and then it was that booze, booze, crap, even not running that thing.
50:26
[SPEAKER_04]: You can say booze here, man, we're grown up in here.
50:28
[SPEAKER_04]: It's not, it's after nine o'clock.
50:30
[SPEAKER_04]: It's past PBS time.
50:32
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
50:34
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
50:35
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
50:35
[SPEAKER_03]: Because when I ran, it didn't look like that.
50:37
[SPEAKER_03]: I was running.
50:38
[SPEAKER_03]: But that was the tragedy.
50:40
[SPEAKER_03]: I just knew that if I wouldn't got to, I know I'd kill that to anybody.
50:46
[SPEAKER_03]: If I didn't get drafted,
50:50
[SPEAKER_03]: the second round, my black ass wouldn't have been on the football for you.
50:57
[SPEAKER_04]: It is not in me, not in Miami, not in Miami.
51:00
[SPEAKER_04]: You might have been somewhere.
51:01
[SPEAKER_04]: You do have been so funny you say that, bro, because I actually, I heard the same rumors that I was going to Buffalo if they didn't take me.
51:08
[SPEAKER_04]: So I don't know if it's just when they talk to the why receivers that end up getting drafted by Miami, that, you know, Buffalo is going to take you next.
51:15
[SPEAKER_04]: That's all he moved up.
51:16
[SPEAKER_04]: But that's what I heard the same thing, man.
51:20
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so I'm glad that I'm glad that you're here and said it there and you would have had four suitable losses in the row as well if you were to go on that flow and that would have sucked too bro.
51:30
[SPEAKER_03]: I want to have a great career.
51:31
[SPEAKER_03]: I want to have a great career.
51:32
[SPEAKER_03]: It's too damn cold on that man.
51:37
[SPEAKER_03]: Look, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, my head saw through those guys, right?
51:40
[SPEAKER_03]: Like it was fun to go up there because you know you're going to be in that cold for about four hours and then boom, you're out of that.
51:48
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
51:48
[SPEAKER_03]: Every single game.
51:51
[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't understand that they're doing that Buffalo is doing another stadium and they're doing the outdoor stadium.
51:56
[SPEAKER_03]: What is the reason?
51:57
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, well, they don't want, they don't want to give us an advantage.
52:00
[SPEAKER_04]: They're worried about the dolphins.
52:03
[SPEAKER_04]: The dolphins, baby, they don't want nothing.
52:05
[SPEAKER_04]: They're not worried about us, but they do have that.
52:08
[SPEAKER_04]: They do.
52:09
[SPEAKER_04]: Talk about real quick.
52:10
[SPEAKER_04]: I know we got, we're going to go on to try to tell y'all after this, but do tell everybody about that damn, that crown that Buffalo had on the field.
52:19
[SPEAKER_04]: In the middle of the field, they had this big old crown for drainage at this field, big Seth.
52:24
[SPEAKER_04]: And you look over to the other sidelines.
52:26
[SPEAKER_04]: You can only see guys up through their knees.
52:28
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
52:28
[SPEAKER_04]: You see there, we're watching the cross, that crown was crazy man.
52:32
[SPEAKER_04]: Talk about that crown and runnin' routes on that.
52:35
[SPEAKER_04]: That's even this.
52:35
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
52:36
[SPEAKER_03]: That's cool.
52:37
[SPEAKER_03]: That isn't funny back in the day, that they buff a little while.
52:41
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know how to get this still out.
52:43
[SPEAKER_03]: They had that big, long crown and the thing is, you're right.
52:46
[SPEAKER_03]: When you own the other side,
52:48
[SPEAKER_03]: Basically, when you spread the field, you can't really see it, it's very deep and it's hard to run the rocks like that.
52:54
[SPEAKER_03]: But it's easy for the quarterback to get the ball to you, too.
52:58
[SPEAKER_04]: Right, right, yeah, it's easy for them, but you had to go out there work on that timing, man, because We all know that you run faster downhill, big safford, and it's a rock, and you know, you run.
53:09
[SPEAKER_04]: Coming down here, you move it in.
53:11
[SPEAKER_04]: That ball's got to be out in a bout, man.
53:13
[SPEAKER_04]: It's awkward.
53:14
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, so with that being said, if I think we're at the 10 o'clock hour, man, let's move on to, I try to tell you all, right?
53:21
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, you're doing a great job driving the show.
53:23
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just, well, I know.
53:25
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, since you're blocked out from Duke, like, you know, I don't like this kind of like both.
53:30
[SPEAKER_04]: Couldn't hear what the hell Chad was saying, you know, we have to figure out what's going on.
53:33
[SPEAKER_06]: We didn't have this problem on Riverside.
53:35
[SPEAKER_04]: No, oh, yeah, Mike, oh, Mike, Mike, you shot fires.
53:39
[SPEAKER_04]: I know that's right, all right.
53:44
[SPEAKER_04]: You don't you want to hear this though you want to hear I try to tell you let's let you listen Yeah, I'm going I'm a listen to it because I keep cutting me in and out It won't hear me You might hear Seth but you can't hear nothing All right, so you but you heard me and Mike correct you serve Mike and I I just because yeah, yeah, I heard it.
53:59
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, all right
54:00
[SPEAKER_04]: All right, so I'm gonna give you my real quick y'all, all right, all right, so I try to tell y'all that miracles happen.
54:07
[SPEAKER_04]: We can go back to the miracle on ice when the United States beat the overly powerful Soviet Union in 1980.
54:13
[SPEAKER_04]: I was very young then at that point, but you know, I definitely was not in the hockey, but I remember it.
54:20
[SPEAKER_04]: And some dolphins that are also U.M.
54:23
[SPEAKER_04]: fans to remember the miracle held Mary from Doug Flutey versus the hurricanes when he's playing for
54:29
[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, there's also the macular reception from Frank O'Harris for y'all that don't know when the Penn State we are.
54:36
[SPEAKER_04]: Where we go.
54:36
[SPEAKER_04]: When he plucked that football, just showed it a cold turf versus the raiders and ran it into the end zone against the raiders and a divisional playoff game to advance through then, the ASC championship game against the undefeated.
54:48
[SPEAKER_04]: We know this, Miami Dolphins, you know, who go on the road and continue their dominance following the fake pump by my coach Larry Cypill, also Duper's coach at one point, I believe.
54:59
[SPEAKER_04]: We know that miracle happened right after that.
55:02
[SPEAKER_04]: Still a miracle, though, right?
55:03
[SPEAKER_04]: There's also the fixed fight miracle that my quarterback, Dhammerino, had against the sneaking jets that made me have a 42-inch verdict.
55:11
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I think Duper already had a 42-inch
55:14
[SPEAKER_04]: But my vertical went up as we made that play happen in the spike game and, you know, and we can also chat about the miracle Miami or Miami Miracle, we're right and he'll do with the Kenny stills stills ladders it to don't take Parker Parker ladders it to the speedy Canyon Drake who had a block and beat.
55:33
[SPEAKER_04]: Rob, Rob, Rob Dernkowski, who definitely big-saf did not have the angle.
55:40
[SPEAKER_04]: More recently, we have the, just recently, I'm talking about this because we saw that UConn game that went against Duke and the buzzer beater against the Booser boys and the lead eight, you know, that's why I want to really talk about miracles can't happen.
55:54
[SPEAKER_04]: I say miracles happen because who predicted Jack'sville to be so good this past year?
55:59
[SPEAKER_04]: It was a miracle.
56:00
[SPEAKER_04]: who predicted Denver to be so good.
56:02
[SPEAKER_04]: It was a miracle.
56:03
[SPEAKER_04]: Who predicted Seattle to win the Super Bowl?
56:06
[SPEAKER_04]: It was a miracle.
56:08
[SPEAKER_04]: What I'm trying to tell you is, why not us?
56:11
[SPEAKER_04]: We can pull off the unimaginable.
56:13
[SPEAKER_04]: Why not?
56:14
[SPEAKER_04]: Why not?
56:15
[SPEAKER_04]: Why not?
56:16
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm a true homer and optimist.
56:18
[SPEAKER_04]: We all are right.
56:18
[SPEAKER_04]: That's what we're on this show, right?
56:20
[SPEAKER_04]: So I will always believe in miracles because that's what sports bring us.
56:25
[SPEAKER_04]: I just gave you examples of what sports can bring us in terms of things that you don't expect to happen and they happen.
56:31
[SPEAKER_04]: Those are all called for the most part miracles because that is what sports are all about.
56:36
[SPEAKER_04]: So when it happens this year,
56:38
[SPEAKER_04]: Remember, I tried to tell y'all that miracles happen again.
56:44
[SPEAKER_04]: I tried to tell y'all.
56:46
[SPEAKER_06]: Man, a little positivity from juice today.
56:48
[SPEAKER_06]: I like it going on the app.
56:50
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to bet the Dolphin's a win the super ball right now.
56:53
[SPEAKER_03]: That's a good thing.
56:57
[SPEAKER_03]: Let's go.
56:58
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'll take it.
57:00
[SPEAKER_04]: I'll take.
57:01
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm all but you're going to be the optimist.
57:02
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm all good.
57:02
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm all good.
57:03
[SPEAKER_00]: You all have to take your first.
57:05
[SPEAKER_04]: All right.
57:05
[SPEAKER_04]: Good.
57:06
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a buck.
57:06
[SPEAKER_04]: You got one for us?
57:08
[SPEAKER_04]: No, I do not.
57:09
[SPEAKER_04]: All right.
57:10
[SPEAKER_04]: Might you got one for us?
57:11
[SPEAKER_05]: I got one for you.
57:12
[SPEAKER_05]: And it is draft season, which means it's also mock draft season.
57:18
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, and I tried to tell y'all about mock drafts.
57:20
[SPEAKER_05]: My drafts are fun.
57:22
[SPEAKER_05]: Read them.
57:22
[SPEAKER_05]: You want to make one of your own, go for it.
57:25
[SPEAKER_05]: Read the ones from Mel Cuiper Field Yates and all the so-called experts.
57:29
[SPEAKER_05]: But do not get upset about a mock draft.
57:32
[SPEAKER_05]: Because if you do get upset about a mock draft, there's something wrong with you in the head.
57:36
[SPEAKER_05]: This poor Mac Miller, a BSPN on Monday, put out a seven round
57:42
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, he made all the picks for Dolphins all 11 picks and Dolphins fans a segment of them.
57:47
[SPEAKER_05]: That all lost their damn mind over what Matt Miller is getting with a Dolphins fans a person Matt Miller.
57:54
[SPEAKER_05]: They're sending them angry tweets.
57:55
[SPEAKER_05]: They're attacking them personally.
57:57
[SPEAKER_05]: It got crazy.
57:59
[SPEAKER_05]: and I shared Matt Miller's little mock on Twitter and on our website because they're found an interesting.
58:05
[SPEAKER_05]: He works for ESPN.
58:07
[SPEAKER_05]: He's going to be on the set, you know, when we get there later this month for the drafts, it was fine.
58:13
[SPEAKER_05]: I had one crazy person sending me a nasty email like I did the mock drafts.
58:17
[SPEAKER_05]: They sell me over Matt Miller's packs.
58:20
[SPEAKER_05]: Like I made them.
58:21
[SPEAKER_05]: He's called me stupid.
58:22
[SPEAKER_05]: It's called me name.
58:22
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, this time was really
58:25
[SPEAKER_05]: angry at me in this email, if someone abuse of over someone else's mock draft, I'm like it's a 15 in the morning.
58:32
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't need this.
58:33
[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, it's a freaking mock draft.
58:35
[SPEAKER_05]: It ain't real.
58:36
[SPEAKER_05]: Nobody should be angry over a mock draft.
58:39
[SPEAKER_05]: Ever!
58:40
[SPEAKER_05]: It's like that other guy at ESPN Joe Lenardin.
58:44
[SPEAKER_05]: Now Monday night is going to be the National Championship game in Man's Basketball.
58:49
[SPEAKER_05]: And I don't know who we're going to win, but whoever wins, you know what the lead story on Tuesday morning will be on ESPN.com.
58:56
[SPEAKER_05]: It won't be about the winner.
58:57
[SPEAKER_05]: It's going to be Joel and Arnie's Field of 68 for the 227 tournament.
59:01
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, I was going to be a 16 in the West.
59:04
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, say John's will be a one seed in the South.
59:06
[SPEAKER_05]: Like he's guessing.
59:08
[SPEAKER_05]: You don't know if he's got to say, not all sports content is the water gate investigation and reporting.
59:16
[SPEAKER_05]: Some of it's fun.
59:17
[SPEAKER_05]: Some of it's lighthearted.
59:18
[SPEAKER_05]: That's what mock drafts are.
59:20
[SPEAKER_05]: And even the experts will admit they're just guessing for the most part.
59:24
[SPEAKER_05]: So no NFL fan, no Miami dolphin fan.
59:27
[SPEAKER_05]: She'd get their letter blood pressure rise over a Dolby mock draft because in round three, they got the Dolphin's taken an edge rossure from dumpfuck state with everyone knows he's got
59:38
[SPEAKER_05]: And he ain't going to go around three.
59:40
[SPEAKER_05]: He's going to go around five.
59:41
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to put my crap in here.
59:44
[SPEAKER_05]: It even sucks it left because that's your market.
59:45
[SPEAKER_05]: Folks, relax, take them for what they are fun.
59:50
[SPEAKER_05]: Something to pass time between now and the draft.
59:53
[SPEAKER_05]: So if you see someone so's my graph 4.0, and he's got the dolphins taken.
59:58
[SPEAKER_05]: Jordan Tyson from Arizona State at Pick 11.
1:00:02
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm down, don't go losing your mind.
1:00:05
[SPEAKER_05]: Don't act like someone just ran over little cat in the streets and then car ran over to get and he's the worst person in the world.
1:00:13
[SPEAKER_05]: I take some free advice.
1:00:14
[SPEAKER_05]: The next time you let a mock craft work you up, go outside, have a gummy, touch some grass, maybe smoke some grass, I don't know.
1:00:23
[SPEAKER_05]: It's three left, and remember, I tried to tell you, I'll don't get worked up over any mock draft.
1:00:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Well done Michael leave a man don't they don't text Mike about don't even I'm feeling I heard to do a mock draft and just all of my amy's picks on punters and kickers and then I'm afraid
1:00:49
[SPEAKER_06]: link it to you like it's got to holders in it, but then you see partners big stuff what you got in here you but we're going last is when someone brings it like that you know that it's like if I don't think I've got it then I don't know but here's the deal I tried to tell y'all
1:01:09
[SPEAKER_06]: that while today might be April Fool's Day, the Miami Dolphins are no laughing matter.
1:01:16
[SPEAKER_06]: Now, I fully recognize that the franchise that we hold near and dear to our hearts has been a laughing stock for multiple decades, but damn it is just not funny anymore.
1:01:26
[SPEAKER_06]: As Doop had enough, he's out.
1:01:27
[SPEAKER_06]: Doop was like, I can hear you, and he's not sure we're going to offer this.
1:01:31
[SPEAKER_06]: That is pretty funny, but the dolphins are no laughing matter, okay?
1:01:37
[SPEAKER_06]: So it's just not funny anymore.
1:01:38
[SPEAKER_06]: For missing the playoffs with the league's leading rusher and pass rusher on the same team.
1:01:43
[SPEAKER_06]: Today, if you want to tell us that puntenane, a bad thing.
1:01:46
[SPEAKER_06]: Know what I mean?
1:01:47
[SPEAKER_06]: to the most prolific Russia and team history, quitting the day before training camp, and then being found in a tent in Australia to Nick Saven choosing a bad knee over a bad shoulder to Joe Bailey hiring himself, but not hiring Mike Tomlin, because he was too hip hop, to camp Cameron failing forward fast.
1:02:05
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, turning his thumbs this way, guys, and then giving down capers and Mike Malarky head coaching reps in the free season in Casey ever had a miss a game.
1:02:14
[SPEAKER_06]: What he never coached a game as a head coach in the national football league down capers have been a championship games to mad dog screaming I love Rich Camarillo as the unstoppable combination of Cleo and lemon and Greg Camarillo did the exact opposite of what
1:02:31
[SPEAKER_06]: The one story franchise did to the 1985 Bears to Jeff Ireland asking Des Bryant if his mother was a prostitute.
1:02:40
[SPEAKER_06]: To the tuna, drafting Pat White, and then blaming all his friends for it, then not traveling to freaking road games.
1:02:48
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm sorry, I don't have my hearing aids in.
1:02:51
[SPEAKER_06]: I can't hear what you're saying.
1:02:53
[SPEAKER_06]: To Joe Bailey feeling queasy, and less down a potty hander to the index card, so he could rally the team after games to Adam Gays sitting alone by himself on the bench.
1:03:03
[SPEAKER_06]: In the middle of a damn game while it was going on, to Brian Flores starting to co-opper set over 2o because 2o's pinky was hurt from golfing to our draft picks.
1:03:13
[SPEAKER_06]: It's sailing away on a boat with Tom Brady this way and Sean Payton going that way to a four year stand-up comedy routine that we just weathered.
1:03:23
[SPEAKER_06]: We have had more than our fair share of jokes played on us, Miami Dolphins fans over the years.
1:03:30
[SPEAKER_06]: And I don't know about you guys, but I ain't fallen for him anymore.
1:03:33
[SPEAKER_06]: And hopefully, I won't have to.
1:03:36
[SPEAKER_06]: Because if nothing else, John Erick Sullivan means business.
1:03:40
[SPEAKER_06]: That dude is serious when he shows up to work.
1:03:42
[SPEAKER_06]: The only joke that he's told since he got to Miami was the fact that he shaved his head so he wouldn't be confused with head coach Jeff Haffley anymore.
1:03:50
[SPEAKER_06]: And I don't think he was really joking.
1:03:52
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I think it's actually the truth.
1:03:54
[SPEAKER_06]: But his no-nonsense approach has been refreshing.
1:03:57
[SPEAKER_06]: Does it guarantee wins?
1:03:58
[SPEAKER_06]: No, just like a coach spit in the face of a player when he's yelling and screaming on a sidelines doesn't mean he's a good coach.
1:04:04
[SPEAKER_06]: It doesn't guarantee us anything, but it tells me that he takes his job seriously.
1:04:10
[SPEAKER_06]: This is not a joke.
1:04:12
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm hoping that the Miami dolphins are no longer a joke because it's just not funny anymore.
1:04:18
[SPEAKER_06]: It's April Fool's Day, guys, but the dolphins are not the joke.
1:04:22
[SPEAKER_06]: I try to tell you all.
1:04:23
[SPEAKER_05]: That's awesome, Seth, you brought it, that's great.
1:04:26
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, you definitely enjoyed it.
1:04:29
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that was good.
1:04:31
[SPEAKER_04]: Good.
1:04:32
[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you.
1:04:33
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, man.
1:04:34
[SPEAKER_04]: You don't say it tonight, you know, everybody.
1:04:37
[SPEAKER_04]: No one's laughing about this anymore.
1:04:38
[SPEAKER_05]: No one's laughing about the losing.
1:04:40
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, from Mike's, you know, me, Mark Draft, we don't know what the hell with, we don't know anything as, as, as fans.
1:04:47
[SPEAKER_04]: We don't know a damn thing.
1:04:48
[SPEAKER_04]: And then we can say whatever we need and for Seth, you know, I think this team is, you're right, makes sense.
1:04:53
[SPEAKER_04]: These guys are no joke anymore, man.
1:04:55
[SPEAKER_04]: We're, we're, we're, we're trying to get beyond the laughing stock of the league in terms of,
1:05:00
[SPEAKER_04]: You know, press conferences and pick all that other shit that we go through bro, you know, and I'm with you on that man That was that was brilliant right there, man, and I'm pumped because I'm a serious dude when it comes to my dolphins, man I'm serious man.
1:05:14
[SPEAKER_04]: It's serious But you're positive though.
1:05:17
[SPEAKER_04]: You definitely positively serious.
1:05:19
[SPEAKER_05]: I'll be mystic I got you for you right here.
1:05:23
[SPEAKER_05]: Johnny Erick Sullivan right after he got the dolphin jump.
1:05:25
[SPEAKER_05]: It's four seconds Oh, you describe your full fall positive when
1:05:30
[SPEAKER_05]: There we go.
1:05:31
[SPEAKER_06]: Let's go.
1:05:32
[SPEAKER_05]: That's it.
1:05:34
[SPEAKER_06]: Let's go.
1:05:35
[SPEAKER_06]: There's a bit of a shit talker in there, you know, and I like it, but he's kind of,
1:05:39
[SPEAKER_06]: Listen, I'm excited to see what you're two in your three.
1:05:43
[SPEAKER_06]: I am blown.
1:05:43
[SPEAKER_06]: I really am all in on John Eric Sullivan.
1:05:46
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not not in on halfway.
1:05:48
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just I just we've seen so much that I need to see more and I need to see the results.
1:05:53
[SPEAKER_04]: We won't see we won't see half until game start.
1:05:56
[SPEAKER_04]: We see John Eric Sullivan now.
1:05:58
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I mean most of what he's doing is what we'll see now and that's how GM's are they work this time of year when the when September hits we'll see what what you know what half is about.
1:06:08
[SPEAKER_04]: You know, so, and I know they work hand in hand and I love the fact that they talked about alignment this last week, which we always we've heard that before, but when you guys do that really actually know each other that alignment is real Like, and I have an alignment that we talk about, you know, because we've known each other for so long, you know, and these guys have an alignment that they've had for a couple years now.
1:06:29
[SPEAKER_04]: that it's real.
1:06:30
[SPEAKER_04]: Whereas when, when, you know, when McDaniel came in with Chris Greer, there couldn't have been any alignment.
1:06:36
[SPEAKER_04]: They had a force, they had a finding alignment, you know?
1:06:38
[SPEAKER_04]: These guys haven't naturally because they've known each other for a while.
1:06:42
[SPEAKER_04]: And I love how, how I really are a big set and, and Mike and it's a walkabout.
1:06:47
[SPEAKER_04]: Out, look, we weren't.
1:06:49
[SPEAKER_04]: You know, no, we didn't hang out.
1:06:50
[SPEAKER_04]: We didn't go to each other's houses.
1:06:52
[SPEAKER_04]: We didn't do anything like that.
1:06:53
[SPEAKER_04]: But we knew each other, and we respected each other's business and how we handled our business.
1:06:58
[SPEAKER_04]: And that's how they're aligned now.
1:06:59
[SPEAKER_04]: And I expect him to be aligned for a long time.
1:07:01
[SPEAKER_04]: I love that.
1:07:02
[SPEAKER_06]: I hope so.
1:07:03
[SPEAKER_06]: I hope so because we've seen it.
1:07:05
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, well, I was going to say we've seen what we thought was an alignment and then things start going south.
1:07:10
[SPEAKER_06]: People start doing this deal.
1:07:11
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I'm saying like, I'm saying no, how could they be in line with it?
1:07:15
[SPEAKER_04]: You don't really know each other like, you know, I mean, like I said, you, you called me and everybody said, causing about 730 every morning.
1:07:23
[SPEAKER_04]: You know, every single morning, self like I'm like, yeah, me wake my ass up and I try to wait till I try to sleep in until eight, you know, no, you use the hits around eight, eight or one, it's some change.
1:07:33
[SPEAKER_04]: He's probably about eight or one, but that's it.
1:07:36
[SPEAKER_04]: Eight one, it's some change, you know, but yeah, man, but that's how, you know, that's, that's the line you're talking about, bro.
1:07:43
[SPEAKER_04]: And I think that these guys are, are,
1:07:44
[SPEAKER_04]: If they didn't have before, they're definitely on that path to be in alignment with whatever's going on in it.
1:07:50
[SPEAKER_04]: And I think that all of us can agree that what we've heard and seen so far were all in agreement with what they're doing with this organization right now.
1:07:58
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, and with John Erick Sullivan, who he is replacing, let's just be honest, the bar is pretty freaking low.
1:08:05
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, he doesn't have to do much to surpass the last guy, 7 picks in the top 94, no fancied heck, he's going to hit on all 7.
1:08:14
[SPEAKER_05]: It'd be great if he did, but no general manager hits on like, you know, that money picks.
1:08:18
[SPEAKER_05]: If he hits on 4 or 5,
1:08:19
[SPEAKER_04]: Right.
1:08:20
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, that's great.
1:08:21
[SPEAKER_05]: That's great.
1:08:21
[SPEAKER_04]: That's amazing.
1:08:22
[SPEAKER_04]: That's amazing.
1:08:23
[SPEAKER_04]: That's amazing.
1:08:23
[SPEAKER_05]: That's amazing percentage.
1:08:24
[SPEAKER_05]: So with seven picks and top 100, if he hits on four or five, don't focus on the one or two that he missed on, focus on the fact that he hit on that many because the last guy couldn't come closer to doing that.
1:08:35
[SPEAKER_05]: And definitely, again, we don't know what halfway is still September.
1:08:38
[SPEAKER_05]: But here's the thing.
1:08:39
[SPEAKER_05]: He's got, it seems like he's got the right temperament to go through a possible rough season this year.
1:08:46
[SPEAKER_05]: Seems like he's someone who's not going to get too high to low that if it does go bad, you know he'll be able to survive and it seems like he's not someone who's going to be sitting there telling jokes or someone's going to be like screaming at yelling at people, you know, just mad that seems like he's got a good temperament and the thing we're going to see with him this year more than anything, don't do dump shit.
1:09:09
[SPEAKER_05]: in the rise of the whole.
1:09:11
[SPEAKER_05]: Don't throw a fade pass to a 5.9 wide receiver.
1:09:14
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, don't do dumb shit.
1:09:15
[SPEAKER_05]: Just, you know, don't waste all your time out.
1:09:17
[SPEAKER_05]: If you win a challenge here or there, say, like, if you can just do competent things, even if they only win four or five games or whatever, however many games.
1:09:25
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, okay.
1:09:26
[SPEAKER_05]: We all knew this roster was very young this year.
1:09:29
[SPEAKER_05]: They had a lot of money on the cap that they couldn't use all the dead money.
1:09:32
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, just don't do dumb shit and have a good temperament to sort of survive this year.
1:09:37
[SPEAKER_05]: The next year hopefully the roster is better and you can sort of take off and run and then.
1:09:41
[SPEAKER_05]: But that's what I think what most fans sort of want to see from him this year and we'll find out in September.
1:09:46
[SPEAKER_05]: But I think he does.
1:09:48
[SPEAKER_05]: I think he's probably the right guy for right now and we'll see if he's the right guy long term.
1:09:51
[SPEAKER_05]: We'll see.
1:09:52
[SPEAKER_06]: Don't do dumb shit, Mike tried to tell me.
1:09:55
[SPEAKER_05]: So pretty simple.
1:09:56
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I agree.
1:09:57
[SPEAKER_06]: Dang, dang.
1:09:58
[SPEAKER_06]: I hope you're right.
1:09:59
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know with Hathley.
1:10:00
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm trying.
1:10:01
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.
1:10:02
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just trying not to buy into, I don't know.
1:10:05
[SPEAKER_06]: He presents very well.
1:10:07
[SPEAKER_06]: There's no doubt that he presents very well.
1:10:10
[SPEAKER_06]: And particularly towards the end there with Mike McDaniel.
1:10:14
[SPEAKER_06]: just, it's struggled to feel coherent even.
1:10:18
[SPEAKER_06]: So, you know, but we got to see what happens.
1:10:20
[SPEAKER_06]: He's got to get the team together and we see what happens and it'll be interesting to see what happens.
1:10:26
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I'll be watching, we're, we're glutton for punishment.
1:10:29
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, we're another, so I'll be here.
1:10:30
[SPEAKER_06]: We'll be watching, we'll be talking about it.
1:10:32
[SPEAKER_06]: Speaking of watching, there's been a lot going on with us.
1:10:35
[SPEAKER_06]: So, Finn condition is rocking and rolling this week.
1:10:38
[SPEAKER_06]: We've got two episodes out.

[SPEAKER_06]: We have the Marco Coleman 1992 Proline portraits.
1:10:43
[SPEAKER_06]: We got today.
1:10:44
[SPEAKER_06]: We just dropped the Larry Little rookie card on the 1972 so not only was it the perfect season 1972 happened to be Larry Little's rookie card And yes, I know that he was drafted in 71 or 72, but you can listen to the episode and understand what happened there and then on Friday
1:11:01
[SPEAKER_06]: I think Savaka, are we dropping Savaka went into his own collection, dug out cards from the closet, and he's got a Troy Stradford rookie card.
1:11:11
[SPEAKER_06]: So that's what I'm talking about.
1:11:12
[SPEAKER_06]: Boston College.
1:11:13
[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, Brad.
1:11:15

[SPEAKER_05]: I didn't have any problem with his draft.
1:11:57
