Speaker 1: Here's your host, Alex Gary.
• 0:06
Speaker 2: Here at one Leg of Ballex Media. If you missed
• 0:09
Speaker 2: last night's Jimmy Fallon Show, I want to play a
• 0:11
Speaker 2: couple of clips for you, because man oh man, it
• 0:14
Speaker 2: was electric. The whole Next team basically was there.
• 0:18
  Speaker 3: And.
• 0:20
Speaker 2: I was watching with a fellow Nick fan virtually, and
• 0:26
Speaker 2: I was cracking up because there were some great moments
• 0:29
Speaker 2: last night. I mean, he interviewed Jalen Kat and Mike
• 0:33
Speaker 2: Brown in one section, og Josh Hart and mccleridge is
• 0:39
Speaker 2: in another section, and they all crashed his monologue. But
• 0:43
Speaker 2: there were a couple of moments I wanted to play
• 0:44
Speaker 2: for you right here at one Leg of Ballex Media.
• 0:46
Speaker 2: And I'm sure the tonight show would not mind. Jimmy
• 0:50
Speaker 2: Fallon would not mind either. I met him back in
• 0:52
Speaker 2: twenty eighteen in the Winter Circle at Belmont. Here's a
• 0:55
Speaker 2: couple of moments I wanted to really highlight for you,
• 0:57
Speaker 2: And I'll drop the links to the entire episode in
• 1:00
  Speaker 2: the description below.
• 1:03
Speaker 4: But I was right in the mix, and I'm like,
• 1:05
Speaker 4: how I when the crowd gets so loud. I mean,
• 1:08
Speaker 4: these are the greatest fans on earth love. I mean,
• 1:18
Speaker 4: those comeback games I have to ask, is it is it?
• 1:24
Speaker 4: Is it distracting or is it helpful when they're that
• 1:27
Speaker 4: loud because you can't hear you.
• 1:29
  Speaker 3: No, it's helpful.
• 1:31
Speaker 5: It is. Because there's a couple.
• 1:35
Speaker 4: Of times I can hear you yelling, You're like no, no,
• 1:38
  Speaker 4: and then you're going I can't hear you and you're
• 1:40
Speaker 4: yell yelling at each other. I'm like, oh my gosh.
• 1:42
Speaker 4: But it was electrical. The garden was bouncing, the garden
• 1:45
Speaker 4: was shaking. Literally literally, it.
• 1:46
  Speaker 5: Felt like that.
• 1:47
Speaker 6: It was when we get the fans involved and we
• 1:49
Speaker 6: give them something to cheer for.
• 1:51
  Speaker 4: It's it's it's something special, it's something one in life.
• 1:57
Speaker 4: You said, the game starts at eight thirty, we start
• 1:59
  Speaker 4: playing at nine.
• 2:02
Speaker 3: That made me laugh. That was so funny.
• 2:05
  Speaker 6: It was great.
• 2:06
Speaker 3: I mean, I mean it seems funny, but I mean.
• 2:10
Speaker 4: Coaches like, that's not funny. He wasn't too happy about laughing.
• 2:13
Speaker 5: Yeah, he stresses every game. He goes, we got to
• 2:16
Speaker 5: start the first quarter.
• 2:17
Speaker 4: Better than the last one.
• 2:18
Speaker 1: I realized, you know, we ain't.
• 2:24
Speaker 4: And then the coach Brown you started leading the team
• 2:29
Speaker 4: with a different song, who let the Dogs Out by
• 2:31
  Speaker 4: the Baha Man?
• 2:32
Speaker 5: What is that song?
• 2:33
Speaker 3: We gotta put that the bed.
• 2:35
Speaker 4: Yeah, but where did that come from?
• 2:40
  Speaker 2: Was that something?
• 2:42
  Speaker 3: This is story?
• 2:43
Speaker 4: So I got two boys, you know what, we need
• 2:45
Speaker 4: the story as well.
• 2:46
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, we both.
• 2:47
Speaker 3: Need to hear this.
• 2:48
Speaker 5: I was an assistant San Antonio many moons ago. The
• 2:51
Speaker 5: reporter that asked me the question, he said, what did
• 2:54
Speaker 5: you learn during your time here when you coached the
• 2:57
Speaker 5: seven year old Dogs flag football team? And so I said,
• 3:02
Speaker 5: I said, I learned to cheer because we used to
• 3:04
Speaker 5: have all the parents come into the huddle, all the
• 3:06
Speaker 5: kids come in the huddle before every game. We put
• 3:08
Speaker 5: everybody put their hands in, right, all right, we're gonna practice,
• 3:11
Speaker 5: and everybody to do this. Put your hands in, put
• 3:13
Speaker 5: your hands in. And then I'd go.
• 3:15
Speaker 2: One, two, three, I'd go, Look the Dogs. At this point,
• 3:22
Speaker 2: Jalen and kat are losing their mind on the stage.
• 3:24
Speaker 2: It was something to whid.
• 3:28
Speaker 4: Can't just take her.
• 3:31
  Speaker 5: To walk out?
• 3:33
Speaker 1: Not to walk out?
• 3:34
  Speaker 4: Stop doing it.
• 3:35
Speaker 2: And then Jimmy asked Jalen about that hug at center
• 3:39
Speaker 2: court with his dad after winning the finals. This is
• 3:43
Speaker 2: a very interesting commentary from Jalen Brunson, and I think
• 3:47
Speaker 2: it dictates how they were able to win this championship.
• 3:55
Speaker 4: That was a perfect moment.
• 4:02
  Speaker 1: Is it tough?
• 4:04
Speaker 4: Is it amazing? Is it tough? Is it hard having
• 4:07
Speaker 4: your dad right there and be like, I mean, that's
• 4:09
Speaker 4: a lot of emotion. He's right there and you're hugging, and.
• 4:12
Speaker 3: Yeah, there was a lot of I was. I was
• 4:13
Speaker 3: good before before I saw him, and then I obviously
• 4:17
Speaker 3: got emotional afterwards. But man, it was it is everything
• 4:21
Speaker 3: I dreamed of. It's all the all the times that
• 4:23
  Speaker 3: you had.
• 4:24
Speaker 4: Kid, and he's practicing with you and telling you, and
• 4:26
Speaker 4: you're going over drills over and over again. You're like, Dad,
• 4:28
Speaker 4: one day, I'm gonna make it.
• 4:29
  Speaker 5: Just make it.
• 4:30
Speaker 4: Yeah to the NBA let.
• 4:32
Speaker 3: Alone, Absolutely not when but you focus on just the
• 4:35
Speaker 3: little things, and you'd be surprised what happens when you
• 4:39
Speaker 3: just you put all your energy into little details. Actually matter.
• 4:43
  Speaker 2: What's that.
• 4:47
  Speaker 5: You were?
• 4:48
Speaker 4: You were a New York's team, but I really believe
• 4:50
Speaker 4: that you were. You were the country's team because everyone
• 4:52
Speaker 4: started rooting for the next and everyone loved you so much,
• 4:57
  Speaker 4: And that.
• 4:58
Speaker 2: To me was the moment right there. I was like, yep,
• 5:01
Speaker 2: he's right, and that was that was a line I
• 5:03
Speaker 2: wanted to play for you. You weren't just New York's team, Nicks,
• 5:07
Speaker 2: you were the country's team. And I think we feel that.
• 5:13
Speaker 2: I think we're gonna feel that Thursday when the parade
• 5:15
Speaker 2: comes down the Canyon of Heroes. Of course, I'm gonna
• 5:17
Speaker 2: play my interview with Lou Turbinello recorded yesterday. I'll play
• 5:21
Speaker 2: that in a little bit. But I had to get
• 5:22
Speaker 2: this out there because there were some great moments. And
• 5:25
Speaker 2: I want to flip back to now the og and
• 5:30
Speaker 2: Josh Hart mccallbridge segment because that was fun too, and
• 5:33
Speaker 2: Jimmy had a lot of fun with Josh Hart. But
• 5:35
Speaker 2: first the tipp in. We all talk about the tipping
• 5:38
Speaker 2: from og on Andobi the clutch nests to put the
• 5:40
Speaker 2: Knicks up for good with two point one seconds left
• 5:44
Speaker 2: in that game four, And of course Jimmy went right
• 5:50
Speaker 2: to og and here's how that went down. Here's how
• 5:53
Speaker 2: that conversation went down. Yes, oh my.
• 6:02
Speaker 4: God, Oh, thank you for being here.
• 6:08
Speaker 2: Should I be regular?
• 6:09
Speaker 6: So thank you for being here?
• 6:10
Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, o g. You almost had a little
• 6:14
Speaker 4: bit of emotion there, a little bit. You almost showed
• 6:16
Speaker 4: a little bit of emotion. No, yeah, you always show emotion.
• 6:21
Speaker 4: Come on, yeah, I can't imagine. How are you, guys,
• 6:28
Speaker 4: How are you guys feeling? Talk to me?
• 6:30
  Speaker 5: What is it?
• 6:31
  Speaker 4: Is it real?
• 6:33
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's real, it's real. It's beginning to sink in.
• 6:39
Speaker 1: So you when you got people like this, that's showing
• 6:41
  Speaker 1: love everywhere.
• 6:43
  Speaker 5: That's the best.
• 6:45
Speaker 4: You're so happy to see you again. Thank you guys
• 6:47
Speaker 4: for coming on. O g let's start with you. It
• 6:49
Speaker 4: has to be one of the greatest plays in the
• 6:51
  Speaker 4: history of sports.
• 6:52
  Speaker 5: You made.
• 6:56
Speaker 2: The game for the game for go ahead.
• 6:59
Speaker 4: Back kidding, the most insane fashion classball. We have a clip, Rumpson.
• 7:03
Speaker 3: Gets it fires up at three shut no good, but chick.
• 7:06
  Speaker 6: That's gone.
• 7:07
  Speaker 4: It's gone.
• 7:08
Speaker 1: Let's gone. Let's look part to the lads.
• 7:12
Speaker 2: Take the lamp, he little shop, the little sucks.
• 7:23
Speaker 4: That happened. You're on the cover of every You're on
• 7:26
Speaker 4: the cover of the New York Posts. Yeah O MG,
• 7:28
Speaker 4: uh Daily News. I mean you're the king of New
• 7:31
Speaker 4: York at that time. What are you thinking when that
• 7:33
Speaker 4: when it was Jalen's thrown out the ball? Do you go,
• 7:36
Speaker 4: we'll haves You're probably hoping it goes in.
• 7:38
  Speaker 5: Yeah for sure.
• 7:39
Speaker 4: Yeah, but then you just so you just had to
• 7:41
Speaker 4: run and start flying just in the mixture, just in case.
• 7:44
Speaker 3: Just they to all the crash.
• 7:45
  Speaker 5: We're all I think we're all trying to get a
• 7:47
Speaker 5: rebound off it miss and I'll be able to get it.
• 7:51
Speaker 4: Michael, how are you feeling when he's doing that? I mean,
• 7:54
Speaker 4: where where you walking through this?
• 8:00
  Speaker 1: I just I saw a man flying.
• 8:02
Speaker 4: You saw a man man flying?
• 8:04
Speaker 6: Is I just I couldn't believe that he had the
• 8:08
Speaker 6: you know, athleticism to tip the ball and air have
• 8:11
Speaker 6: like control of the ball. So like you, I thought
• 8:14
Speaker 6: maybe one of tip is where maybe go around and rim,
• 8:16
Speaker 6: but see may had a real good like possession of
• 8:18
  Speaker 6: the ball.
• 8:18
  Speaker 5: It's crazy crazy.
• 8:19
Speaker 2: Then one of the most exciting moments and the intriguing
• 8:22
Speaker 2: moments of the night was this exchange about Josh Hart
• 8:25
Speaker 2: untying Jimmy Fallon's shoe when he was churdside during the playoffs.
• 8:30
  Speaker 2: Take a listen, Josh, I.
• 8:31
Speaker 4: Have to talk about the untying of the shoes because
• 8:35
Speaker 4: I was at I was at game one of the
• 8:37
Speaker 4: seventy six ers series and you did something I never
• 8:40
Speaker 4: could have predicted. I didn't think this would happen, But
• 8:42
Speaker 4: we have a clip.
• 8:43
Speaker 3: Take a list look at Josh Hart.
• 8:45
Speaker 2: You know he's always known as a jokester and goes
• 8:48
Speaker 2: right up to the ultimate jokester.
• 8:49
Speaker 1: Jimmy Fallon says, Okay, let me let me help you
• 8:51
Speaker 1: out with that unties of shoe.
• 8:53
Speaker 2: That was a quick retie by Fallon.
• 8:55
Speaker 4: Well, okay, because again I had you on this show before,
• 9:00
Speaker 4: and I love you, and we played Password together and
• 9:03
Speaker 4: so but on the on the court, I don't look
• 9:05
Speaker 4: at you. You don't look at me. You're focused you,
• 9:07
Speaker 4: which I totally understand. I don't want to bother anybody,
• 9:09
Speaker 4: and uh, and so I was just like really for
• 9:12
Speaker 4: you the whole game, and we didn't say anything to
• 9:14
Speaker 4: me whatever. And then you walk by and I thought
• 9:16
Speaker 4: you were fixing your sock or something, and you untied
• 9:18
Speaker 4: my shoe like a dude. And then you because then
• 9:23
Speaker 4: you you won by like twenty points or whatever. That yeah,
• 9:26
Speaker 4: and then the next game I went to you did
• 9:28
Speaker 4: it again, and then you also won. And then to
• 9:32
Speaker 4: come back game, yeah, you did it again. And so
• 9:36
Speaker 4: every time I watched the game, I kept untie my shoe.
• 9:38
Speaker 4: And have you done that to other people before you did?
• 9:43
  Speaker 1: I don't know. I think I might have did it
• 9:44
Speaker 1: to Aaron Judge one time. But for me, I like,
• 9:48
Speaker 1: I like when I'm on the court, like I'm locked in,
• 9:53
Speaker 1: but once I step off the court, I like this.
• 9:55
Speaker 1: I liked me. I like this having fun. Man. So
• 9:58
Speaker 1: I saw you and I was just like, you know what,
• 10:00
Speaker 1: let me mess with Jimmy a little bit. I thought
• 10:02
Speaker 1: the shoe and I was like, ah, now that's our thing.
• 10:05
Speaker 4: That's our thing. And I loved it and it brought
• 10:07
Speaker 4: me luck. And I was there with my daughter on
• 10:09
Speaker 4: the comeback one and she was like, Dad, do you
• 10:10
Speaker 4: think they can come back like really like twenty two
• 10:13
Speaker 4: points or every twenty And I go, it's possible. I mean,
• 10:17
Speaker 4: I go, you know what, untie my shoe, like Josh,
• 10:20
Speaker 4: and she untied my shoe, and I think that's why
• 10:22
  Speaker 4: you guys want.
• 10:22
  Speaker 2: Yeah, but I I.
• 10:26
Speaker 4: Thought it'd be interesting. I brought the shoe that I
• 10:28
Speaker 4: wore to that game and I had the team sign it,
• 10:32
Speaker 4: but they left. They left this place for you to
• 10:35
Speaker 4: sign it. I'd be honored if you're the last Nick
• 10:38
Speaker 4: to sign my shoe, and then maybe we could retire
• 10:41
Speaker 4: this to the rafters here at thirty row.
• 10:46
Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll go over here. I'll go here.
• 10:47
Speaker 6: Yeah, Champ, right, come on champ. I want to go
• 10:55
  Speaker 6: retire with me.
• 10:56
Speaker 4: Let's go retire the shoe come over here. Here we go,
• 10:59
Speaker 4: very very sad about this. This will live in the
• 11:03
  Speaker 4: rafters forever.
• 11:04
  Speaker 2: Here you go.
• 11:05
Speaker 4: Thanks Josh, you do the honors.
• 11:07
  Speaker 2: Here we go.
• 11:08
Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, here we go.
• 11:09
  Speaker 6: Wow, fantastic.
• 11:13
  Speaker 3: There it is.
• 11:14
  Speaker 1: Don't do it.
• 11:15
Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, he said he was gonna.
• 11:19
Speaker 2: And as Ryan Pagano said, I hope that shoe never
• 11:22
Speaker 2: comes down from the rafters of Jimmy Fallon's studio. So
• 11:26
Speaker 2: that was a few clips I want to play for you,
• 11:29
Speaker 2: and this is when we do it one like a
• 11:30
Speaker 2: Ballex Media. We play what's relevant, we play what's cultural.
• 11:34
Speaker 2: And it's why I am very honored to say Yours
• 11:38
Speaker 2: Truly is yet again been approved for a press pass
• 11:43
Speaker 2: to Fanatics Fest twenty twenty six, and I get to
• 11:46
Speaker 2: promote the event too. So if you buy through my
• 11:48
Speaker 2: link as an affiliate, yes I do make money, but
• 11:51
Speaker 2: also you'll get to be there. It's gonna be all
• 11:54
Speaker 2: nick centric as you can imagine. As for the first
• 11:57
Speaker 2: time in fifty three years, fifty three years, the NBA
• 12:00
Speaker 2: Finals champions and we'll discuss the historic aspect of this
• 12:05
Speaker 2: in the next episode with lou Terminello on Terminelo's take,
• 12:10
Speaker 2: and I'd be I've been a finalist to compete in
• 12:15
Speaker 2: the Fanatics Games, so for Fanatics to see me as
• 12:21
Speaker 2: both an athlete and a journalist, I feel seen in
• 12:26
Speaker 2: a time where New York City feels seen and unified.
• 12:31
Speaker 2: And I'm very thankful that together we're always adapting, that
• 12:38
Speaker 2: I was raised an adaptive athlete and we just continue
• 12:46
Speaker 2: to smash stigmas here. I won like a balx Media
• 12:48
Speaker 2: and I'm so grateful for that, and that's my message
• 12:52
Speaker 2: today June sixteenth, twenty twenty six. I won like a
• 12:57
Speaker 2: Ballex Media. Terminello's take coming up in the next episode.
• 13:00
Speaker 2: Stay tuned for that
