Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, let's see Hello.
- 0:01Speaker 2: Yeah, what's the.
- 0:02Speaker 3: Name of the feature? The feature that we invented foolishly.
- 0:07Speaker 3: It's innovative. No one had been taking phone calls on
- 0:10Speaker 3: the radio before, well, they don't dare to until we
- 0:13Speaker 3: did it. You know, I was thinking last night while
- 0:15Speaker 3: we're waiting for calls.
- 0:18Speaker 4: This show changed on nine to eleven, Yes, two thousand
- 0:22Speaker 4: and one.
- 0:24Speaker 5: Changed in a way that we just did. We're doing
- 0:27Speaker 5: a silly morning show before that. I mean, we talked
- 0:30Speaker 5: about serious topics, but we were playing a lot of
- 0:32Speaker 5: music and doing different stuff. And everything stopped on nine
- 0:34Speaker 5: to eleven and we started taking your phone calls. It
- 0:37Speaker 5: was kind of the birth of Hello, Yeah what Hello?
- 0:40Speaker 4: Really? Yeah?
- 0:41Speaker 6: Hello?
- 0:42Speaker 7: Yeah what?
- 0:43Speaker 5: And it was just a time where people just called
- 0:46Speaker 5: and told us what they were feeling and thinking and
- 0:48Speaker 5: do that now, yeah, do.
- 0:50Speaker 4: That exchange ideas and how are you feeling? What are
- 0:54Speaker 4: you thinking about today? Online?
- 0:57Speaker 1: We want Matt the earthquake guy.
- 0:59Speaker 4: Yeah, oh yeah, it's it's Matt Apple. I'm Matt.
- 1:04Speaker 6: Hello.
- 1:04Speaker 4: Isn't that how you say your last name? It's Matt A.
- 1:08Speaker 8: Perfect yeah, perfect pronunciation.
- 1:10Speaker 4: Thank you, Thanks, what's up?
- 1:13Speaker 8: I want to wish you three happy Roctober of course,
- 1:16Speaker 8: thank you. And I wanted to recommend a rock podcast
- 1:20Speaker 8: because I know you guys like the history of music.
- 1:23Speaker 8: Have you have either or any of you heard the
- 1:26Speaker 8: podcast A History of Rock Music and five hundred Songs?
- 1:29Speaker 4: Yes, yeah I have. Yeah, I haven't listened to much
- 1:32Speaker 4: of it, but I I know of it.
- 1:35Speaker 8: Yeah, I really recommend it. It's my second favorite podcast ever,
- 1:38Speaker 8: second to Rave of Them Hell Podcast of course.
- 1:40Speaker 4: Yeah, of course, so Matt is it. It's a history
- 1:44Speaker 4: of rock and roll music and five hundred songs. So
- 1:47Speaker 4: they just cover five five hundred songs and that's that's
- 1:50Speaker 4: the podcast. Once, once they got through the five hundred only.
- 1:53Speaker 8: Up to he's only up the song one, so he
- 1:57Speaker 8: still has quiet ways to go?
- 1:58Speaker 4: Does he do one? So they do one song an episode?
- 2:02Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, it's it's broken up. And some of the
- 2:06Speaker 8: episodes are very long, like a recent episode of The
- 2:09Speaker 8: Beach Boys was seven and a half hours long.
- 2:11Speaker 5: Oh my god, And what what one song did they
- 2:15Speaker 5: spend seven and a half hours on?
- 2:17Speaker 8: It was on never Learned That to Love, the song
- 2:20Speaker 8: that was written by Charles Manson for The Beach Boys. Yeah,
- 2:23Speaker 8: all about the Charles Manton stuff. And like bringing all
- 2:26Speaker 8: that in. So that's why I had.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Such a.
- 2:30Speaker 8: Story.
- 2:30Speaker 3: All right, here's my problem with rock and roll podcasts.
- 2:34Speaker 3: They can't legally play the song. They can play nine.
- 2:38Speaker 8: Seconds, like twenty seconds.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, you can play nine, nine or ten seconds
- 2:43Speaker 3: and that's it. Yeah, So you know, going on for
- 2:47Speaker 3: hours about a song that you can't play frustrating for me.
- 2:52Speaker 4: Anyway, Thanks for the thanks for the recommend Matt.
- 2:54Speaker 8: Yeah, happy October.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you.
- 2:58Speaker 4: I started listening to that podcast you recommended to me,
- 3:01Speaker 4: Kerry the uh so, the two people they talk about, oh, movies,
- 3:07Speaker 4: what went wrong? It's they're very good, They're excellent.
- 3:12Speaker 3: Yeah, let's go to Jason.
- 3:15Speaker 4: Hi, Jason, where are you calling? Where are you calling from? Jason?
- 3:20Speaker 8: Hey, good morning, I'm calling from Saratoga Springs.
- 3:23Speaker 4: Yeah, what's up? Well?
- 3:27Speaker 8: I listen to you guys every morning.
- 3:29Speaker 3: That makes me feel great, and I'm just not feeling
- 3:32Speaker 3: great about what's going.
- 3:33Speaker 8: On, and I want some reassurance.
- 3:34Speaker 5: From you guys.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I wish, I wish we had some thoughts, advice. I
- 3:39Speaker 1: got no reassurance.
- 3:40Speaker 4: It's it's it's hard, you're I mean, it is hard.
- 3:43Speaker 4: It's it's very difficult. I believe in the innate goodness
- 3:53Speaker 4: of people. Yes, Uh, it's it sometimes takes a long
- 3:58Speaker 4: time for it to come out, and uh, but it does.
- 4:03Speaker 4: And there are there are good people in your life
- 4:07Speaker 4: right now, aren't there, Jason?
- 4:10Speaker 9: People so more than bad people.
- 4:13Speaker 4: So so turn to them and and and uh and
- 4:17Speaker 4: fellowship one and another with them, and.
- 4:20Speaker 9: Yeah, be that good thing for someone else.
- 4:23Speaker 4: And and try to do something nice for somebody every day.
- 4:30Speaker 2: I love you guys.
- 4:31Speaker 4: Thanks.
- 4:32Speaker 9: We get it. I mean, yeah, boy, I go home
- 4:35Speaker 9: at night. My poor husband gets it earful for me
- 4:38Speaker 9: every day.
- 4:39Speaker 5: Here are here are all the things that I'm worried
- 4:41Speaker 5: about and and and and he's he's my person to
- 4:45Speaker 5: go and and feel better about when they talk about stuff.
- 4:49Speaker 1: All right, Jason, thank you.
- 4:50Speaker 4: I hope that was helpful in some way.
- 4:53Speaker 2: It was.
- 4:54Speaker 8: You guys are my person to go to, so thank you.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Sure, go to Corey.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Hello, Yeah, what Corey? Corey? Where are you calling.
- 5:01Speaker 7: From the bunker and Bountiful?
- 5:04Speaker 4: Okay, what's up?
- 5:07Speaker 7: So I go to a fair number of concerts and
- 5:10Speaker 7: I don't know if it's just me being more sensitive
- 5:12Speaker 7: to it or if it's happening more, but I feel
- 5:14Speaker 7: like people go to shows to just talk and have
- 5:18Speaker 7: a conversation, and the band is just the background.
- 5:21Speaker 4: Music happens a lot.
- 5:24Speaker 7: So yeah, I'm just curious if others feel the same.
- 5:28Speaker 7: I've even asked people to be quiet, and that usually
- 5:31Speaker 7: doesn't do well.
- 5:32Speaker 4: No, it doesn't, even when it's kind.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Yeah, between that and movie theaters and well just about
- 5:38Speaker 3: any public gathering, it's hard to what's happened.
- 5:41Speaker 4: I will tell I will tell people at movie theaters
- 5:44Speaker 4: to be quiet, I go, please do not, or if
- 5:49Speaker 4: they're talking during the previews, which I don't like that
- 5:52Speaker 4: even but but I'll let I'll sometimes say, I hope
- 5:56Speaker 4: you're not going to keep talking when the movie starts.
- 6:00Speaker 10: M Yeah.
- 6:01Speaker 7: I usually that it's flight during the previews. But I've
- 6:03Speaker 7: not experienced that in a movie theater where people are talking,
- 6:06Speaker 7: but I have.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Yeah, going to movie theaters.
- 6:10Speaker 4: Oh sorry, Corey, see you later, all right, Yeah, thank you.
- 6:14Speaker 3: Let's go to Tammy, Oh Tammy Wammy.
- 6:21Speaker 10: Hi lords Hey. Regarding what Jason was saying about needing
- 6:25Speaker 10: some some optimism or outlook of hope from you guys, yeah,
- 6:29Speaker 10: I just had some I had some input on that.
- 6:33Speaker 10: Robert Wright.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Do you know who he is? Yes, okay, I love him.
- 6:38Speaker 10: I love reading what he posts and writes about everything
- 6:42Speaker 10: going on right now and the Bulwark.
- 6:44Speaker 2: So if you guys, I think you should post.
- 6:47Speaker 10: Those links maybe on your web page.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Robert very insightful. Yeah, he has a new very insightful.
- 6:53Speaker 4: He has a new book out. I believe it's called
- 6:55Speaker 4: I think it's called The Short of It or something
- 6:57Speaker 4: like that.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Yeah, it's all I can remember. Coming up short.
- 7:02Speaker 4: Yeah, he's like four eleven something that he's he's always
- 7:06Speaker 4: been a short person.
- 7:07Speaker 10: And and it's on my holiday wish list.
- 7:13Speaker 4: Well, Tammy you you you laugh, like nobody's going to
- 7:16Speaker 4: give it to you.
- 7:17Speaker 9: Somebody buy Tammy that for Christmas?
- 7:19Speaker 10: No, I know my son will, okay, because you know
- 7:23Speaker 10: I've already got on my wish list because he was like,
- 7:25Speaker 10: I'm getting my shopping to.
- 7:26Speaker 2: A nerdy, so give it to me now, all right,
- 7:29Speaker 2: thank you?

- 7:43Speaker 7: What?
- 7:44Speaker 4: All right?
- 7:44Speaker 11: Well?
- 7:44Speaker 12: What is it? But it's both I'm half French, half English.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Okay, all right, go ahead, go ahead, Oh I was
- 7:56Speaker 3: just saying I called it.
- 7:57Speaker 12: I'm from England and I left this it's my one
- 8:01Speaker 12: little bright moment as I'm driving to work at like
- 8:03Speaker 12: six thirty in the morning, seven thirty early in the morning.
- 8:08Speaker 12: And it's just my sense of humor. I've not found
- 8:12Speaker 12: in the UK, in the US a sense of humor
- 8:14Speaker 12: that really appeals to my UK sense of humor. And
- 8:16Speaker 12: I really appreciate you guys.
- 8:18Speaker 9: That's nice.
- 8:18Speaker 4: But it's interesting, you know, because the British do have
- 8:22Speaker 4: a reputation for not having much of a sense of humor.
- 8:27Speaker 12: I think it's just it's a type of humor we have.
- 8:29Speaker 9: Now, what brought you to Utah?
- 8:32Speaker 12: Oh I met someone married and then that's gonna work out.
- 8:35Speaker 1: And oh here I am.
- 8:37Speaker 4: Well, we're glad that you stayed.

- 10:15Speaker 6: and see if I could get some more views and
- 10:16Speaker 6: more subscribers for the channel.
- 10:17Speaker 4: Okay, well what is it?

- 10:39Speaker 4: Hello, go ahead.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Hi had a question for Carrie.
- 10:46Speaker 11: Why do you why do you call it Mount Doom?
- 10:51Speaker 1: Well, that's that's its name, isn't it.
- 10:53Speaker 3: No, it's it's it seems like there's always cloud cover
- 10:56Speaker 3: up on top of it. That's uh, you know, Mount Olympus.
- 11:02Speaker 3: It just seems like it.
- 11:03Speaker 4: Carrie carry comes down from Mount Olympus every morning. He
- 11:08Speaker 4: descends down here to the humans.
- 11:11Speaker 1: It just seems like he's a lord.
- 11:13Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:14Speaker 3: It just seems like when I drive home oftentimes there's clouds,
- 11:18Speaker 3: dark clouds up on top.
- 11:19Speaker 4: Of it, and then there's that big eye that keeps
- 11:22Speaker 4: and there's that. Yeah. Anyway, there you go.
- 11:25Speaker 1: There you go, Karen, Karen, Let's go to Cindy.
- 11:29Speaker 4: Hell, Yeah, what Hi, Cindy? Where are you calling from?
- 11:33Speaker 10: Hi?

- 11:35Speaker 4: Okay, what's up?
- 11:37Speaker 10: Hey?
- 11:38Speaker 4: I am.
- 11:38Speaker 11: I just want to have Congress get off their butts
- 11:40Speaker 11: and pass the budget, so I can work today because
- 11:42Speaker 11: I'm a federal employee?
- 11:44Speaker 9: Are you I r S.
- 11:47Speaker 11: No, I am a Department of Agriculture.
- 11:53Speaker 9: So how does that work for you today? You don't
- 11:55Speaker 9: go to work? Do you get back paid?
- 11:57Speaker 5: Because I know there are some people that get backed paid,
- 11:59Speaker 5: but some people that don't.
- 12:02Speaker 11: Yeah, we get we get back paid. We have to
- 12:04Speaker 11: go to work today and they do our orderly check
- 12:10Speaker 11: out or whatever, and then we do get back paid eventually.
- 12:14Speaker 11: That it depends on how long the shutdown.
- 12:16Speaker 4: Were you a federal worker of the last time this
- 12:18Speaker 4: happened for thirty five days? I was yeah. And how
- 12:23Speaker 4: it was Was it difficult for you?
- 12:28Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 12:28Speaker 11: It was, yeah, we just had to. You know, if
- 12:31Speaker 11: you don't get paid for the shutdown lasts a long time,
- 12:34Speaker 11: then you without a paycheck. Well, you eventually get paid.
- 12:37Speaker 4: You can just go you can just go to the
- 12:38Speaker 4: grocery store and say, look, you know, I need some groceries.
- 12:44Speaker 3: And as far as your prescriptions go, President Trump has
- 12:47Speaker 3: lowered the price up to nine hundred percent. So it's
- 12:50Speaker 3: like they're just giving the way the pills and some cash.
- 12:54Speaker 6: You know.
- 12:55Speaker 11: Yeah, yeah, I don't know if my credit card companies,
- 12:58Speaker 11: and my mortgage company.

- 13:02Speaker 4: your mortgage is just you call the mortgage company and
- 13:05Speaker 4: you just say, hey, I'll get to you as soon
- 13:07Speaker 4: as I can. I promise.
- 13:09Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 13:10Speaker 11: Yeah, hopefully it doesn't last too long.
- 13:12Speaker 2: No, yeah, we'll see.
- 13:13Speaker 11: But it's kind of like a vacation for me.
- 13:17Speaker 4: But what kind of what kind of work do you
- 13:19Speaker 4: do for the agreg What kind of work do you
