- 0:43Speaker 3: We will get to the Calves and Pistons here in
- 0:46Speaker 3: just a second. But I realize the audience is missing Collins,
- 0:49Speaker 3: so let's get Ai Collins thoughts here quickly. Guys on
- 0:53Speaker 3: the Pistons calve series.
- 0:57Speaker 4: Detroit going up to zip on Cleveland tells you this
- 1:00Speaker 4: isn't a cute story, It's a power move. Cad Cunningham
- 1:04Speaker 4: closes again with twenty five and ten. Tobias Harris gives
- 1:07Speaker 4: you twenty one, and the Pistons are dictating the terms
- 1:10Speaker 4: of the series, like the one seed should Cleveland's.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Getting big nights.
- 1:13Speaker 4: Donovan Mitchell had thirty one, Jared Allen had twenty two
- 1:16Speaker 4: and it still feels like they're playing catch up the
- 1:18Speaker 4: whole game.
- 1:22Speaker 3: There's a name there for the calves he left out.
- 1:24Speaker 3: He was three of thirteen from the field. He's terrible
- 1:26Speaker 3: in the postseason. He's James Harden. Dude, he is so laughable.
- 1:32Speaker 5: It is funny to me that now it was sort
- 1:35Speaker 5: of reawakened the James Harden versus Dwayne Wade, who is
- 1:39Speaker 5: the better two guard? It is such a laughable debate,
- 1:43Speaker 5: such a laughable debate when you really think about it,
- 1:45Speaker 5: because James Harden is well. First of all, can you
- 1:50Speaker 5: think of the career highlight defensive play of James Harden?
- 1:55Speaker 3: I cannot, No, No, I can think of one.
- 1:57Speaker 5: It was a no look swipe that he had on somebody.
- 2:00Speaker 5: I want to say it was Patrick Bevma, maybe not.
- 2:01Speaker 5: He just looked the other way and swiped down and
- 2:04Speaker 5: eventually got a steal out of that. That's it, Okay. Now,
- 2:07Speaker 5: there are so many highlight blocks and steals from Dwayne.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Wade in fairness, all right, but I don't remember any
- 2:12Speaker 3: of them. So like, in fairness to your game's hard,
- 2:15Speaker 3: there aren't many defensive plays that I remember from individuals
- 2:19Speaker 3: in the NBA over the course of time. I just
- 2:21Speaker 3: don't I remember the steal from Jordan Game six in
- 2:23Speaker 3: the NBA Finals against the Utah Jazz, because he's famous
- 2:27Speaker 3: of all time, Larry steals the ball, gives it off
- 2:31Speaker 3: to DJ. Excuse me.
- 2:32Speaker 6: Also, what strange circles is? Is he rolling in where
- 2:37Speaker 6: he's saying the conversations between Dwayne Wade and James Harden
- 2:41Speaker 6: have been awakened, Stu, Those conversations aren't happening in any
- 2:45Speaker 6: of my circles.
- 2:46Speaker 3: I've never had it. I've never had it with anyone
- 2:48Speaker 3: at any time and at any point with any person.
- 2:51Speaker 5: Yes, Pat Beverley just reawakened those things by saying that
- 2:54Speaker 5: he was better than Dwayne Wade. Than Dwayne Wade himself.
- 2:56Speaker 5: The man himself went on a pod and said he
- 2:59Speaker 5: shouldn't be talking about me.
- 3:00Speaker 3: He can't do anything I can do.
- 3:02Speaker 5: And then he's basically been defending himself against the James
- 3:05Speaker 5: Harden conversation without insulting James Harden by saying, look, after
- 3:09Speaker 5: five years, I already had a Hall of Fame career,
- 3:11Speaker 5: and I don't think you can say the same thing
- 3:13Speaker 5: about him. And so that to me is a laughable debate.
- 3:17Speaker 5: Dwayne impacted the games in ways that you know James
- 3:20Speaker 5: Harden couldn't, and it's just more of a hey, if
- 3:25Speaker 5: my team is missing seventeen consecutive three pointers like his
- 3:29Speaker 5: Houston Rockets died against the Golden State Warriors one game
- 3:32Speaker 5: in the playoffs, I meaning Dwayne Wade, would have done something,
- 3:36Speaker 5: whether it be a pump fake and get to the line,
- 3:38Speaker 5: something to slow that down, something to keep my team afloat.
- 3:41Speaker 5: I think it's not even a conversation who the best
- 3:43Speaker 5: two guard is, although coming from me.
- 3:45Speaker 3: That's going to be looked at as bias.
- 3:47Speaker 5: But in this series, in these playoffs, Stu James Harden
- 3:50Speaker 5: is officially officially in like Clayton Kershaw territory because when
- 3:54Speaker 5: the playoffs come, he's an entirely different person. I think
- 3:57Speaker 5: it's it's either four out of five or five straight
- 3:59Speaker 5: games in these season where he had more turnovers than
- 4:02Speaker 5: field Gold's made. And when you watch him play, he
- 4:04Speaker 5: looks like he can't do anything out there, and then
- 4:07Speaker 5: he takes out his frustration by getting mad at Assar Thompson,
- 4:10Speaker 5: who is the most like innocent defender in the league.
- 4:13Speaker 3: He's just a ridiculously good.
- 4:14Speaker 5: Defender, but is not a smack talker, is not really
- 4:17Speaker 5: somebody that really gets into arguments. James Harden, it is
- 4:20Speaker 5: just laughable. It's laughable that we see this guy in
- 4:23Speaker 5: the postseason and think because he goes between the legs
- 4:26Speaker 5: ten times every time he dribbles, that he is some
- 4:28Speaker 5: sort of effective basketball player. It's absolutely maddening to watch
- 4:33Speaker 5: him play at this level.
- 4:34Speaker 3: And you've got other people.
- 4:36Speaker 5: I forget who it was, but somebody on a podcast
- 4:38Speaker 5: recently just bragging, bragging about how James Harden would be
- 4:41Speaker 5: out till four or five in the morning with Houston
- 4:43Speaker 5: during his MVP days and then just come back to
- 4:46Speaker 5: work the next day and drop sixty.
- 4:48Speaker 3: I'm like, imagine if he didn't.
- 4:50Speaker 5: Do that like that, that's not something to, you know,
- 4:55Speaker 5: to be proud of in your career. Oh, I could
- 4:57Speaker 5: have been better, but I was out clubbing till fi
- 5:00Speaker 5: in the morning.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Like I know.
- 5:01Speaker 5: People want to put that Michael Jordan thing. Oh he
- 5:03Speaker 5: played golf till whatever hours of the day and still
- 5:06Speaker 5: drop forty on a team. That I think is even
- 5:08Speaker 5: a little bit more acceptable because you're at least doing
- 5:10Speaker 5: some other sort of physical activity that is not drinking
- 5:13Speaker 5: alcohol the whole time. It's just I don't know, it's
- 5:16Speaker 5: it really gets to me how embarrassing that is for
- 5:19Speaker 5: somebody who is supposed to be an all time great.
- 5:22Speaker 3: Yeah, you're really taking this one personally. It seems like,
- 5:26Speaker 3: I mean, you just like the disdain forgetting the conversation. Well,
- 5:30Speaker 3: now it's amazing, Like, listen, this is how I do
- 5:32Speaker 3: with three of thirteen. He's terrible in the postseason. Everything
- 5:35Speaker 3: looks good until he starts shooting, and then it starts
- 5:37Speaker 3: to look bad when it clanks off the rim because
- 5:39Speaker 3: he's not good in the postseason. But is he somehow
- 5:41Speaker 3: made it about Dwayne Wade, and God bless him, he
- 5:44Speaker 3: loves Dwayne Wade. But I'm not certain anyone's having those conversations.
- 5:48Speaker 3: And if Dwayne Wade is responding to any sort of
- 5:51Speaker 3: conversation where someone is saying James Horden is better than
- 5:54Speaker 3: he is, he shouldn't respond. His game did all.
- 5:57Speaker 5: The talk, Dwayne Wade having the conversation, then people having
- 6:00Speaker 5: the conversation.
- 6:01Speaker 3: To stop having that conversation. It's a dumb conversation for
- 6:04Speaker 3: Wade to have. Of course, he's better than James Arden,
- 6:07Speaker 3: stop talking about it. Not you, Dwayne Wade know, and
- 6:09Speaker 3: a lot of people would say James Harden is better.
- 6:11Speaker 3: That's why it's a conversation. No one, no one, no
- 6:13Speaker 3: one would say that. Who would say that?
- 6:15Speaker 6: And if they did say it, they will not say it.
- 6:17Speaker 6: After I read this stat here that I saw on
- 6:20Speaker 6: NBA Reddit, I had a fact check this maybe forty
- 6:23Speaker 6: times because it's that unbelievable. James Harden played his one
- 6:27Speaker 6: hundred and eighty second career playoff game tonight with four
- 6:31Speaker 6: turnovers and three made field goals. It was his forty
- 6:35Speaker 6: six playoff game that he's had as many or more
- 6:38Speaker 6: turnovers than made field goals. That's over twenty five percent
- 6:43Speaker 6: of his career playoff games.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Ye, like, hey, stat, I.
- 6:45Speaker 5: Saw somebody say that he is now getting into It
- 6:48Speaker 5: might have been Stephen A. The Russell Wilson conversation, are
- 6:51Speaker 5: you playing your way out of maybe not the Hall
- 6:53Speaker 5: of Fame but all time great conversations like it is
- 6:56Speaker 5: just becoming painfully obvious.
- 6:58Speaker 6: So the way Steven A. Smith worded it, STU, he said,
- 7:02Speaker 6: James Harden's Hall of Fame status is on the verge
- 7:05Speaker 6: of being revoked.
- 7:07Speaker 3: Wow. Really, so he was in and now he's revoking
- 7:09Speaker 3: his status. Wow, that's uh.
- 7:12Speaker 6: A Smith had his card and it's it's on the
- 7:15Speaker 6: verge of being taken away from years.
- 7:17Speaker 3: Here's what the problem is is, yes, go ahead, No, No.
- 7:21Speaker 5: The problem is is that we're obsessed with scoring in
- 7:24Speaker 5: a way that maybe we weren't before, right, because there
- 7:27Speaker 5: were times where we would see a guy have big
- 7:30Speaker 5: scoring numbers and then just recognize, Okay, it's a little gimmicky.
- 7:34Speaker 5: It's it's regular season quality, right, and effectiveness. But when
- 7:39Speaker 5: you really like break it down or if you really
- 7:42Speaker 5: defend it hard over the course of a seven game series,
- 7:45Speaker 5: it's not going to be as effective.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Because if you think.
- 7:47Speaker 5: About what Harden's go tos are, it's step back three, which, again,
- 7:52Speaker 5: even if he is the best in the league at it,
- 7:54Speaker 5: percentage wise, not a great shot, and then drawing fouls
- 7:57Speaker 5: when when getting too the rim, Well, if you're not
- 7:59Speaker 5: drawing those fouls anymore, I mean, where are you going?
- 8:03Speaker 5: What is your go to? How are you affecting the game.
- 8:05Speaker 5: It's certainly not on defense, and it's certainly not with
- 8:08Speaker 5: what like mid range pull ups. He just doesn't have that.
- 8:10Speaker 5: He's a two level scorer effectively either threes or layups,
- 8:14Speaker 5: and so it's just not effective come playoff time. And
- 8:17Speaker 5: it's really frustrating to see whether it be all time
- 8:21Speaker 5: Great conversations or people convincing themselves that he is going
- 8:24Speaker 5: to be different with the Cleveland Cavaliers. When why are
- 8:27Speaker 5: we convincing himself ourselves of this? We've seen enough evidence
- 8:31Speaker 5: to the contrary.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Steven A.
- 8:33Speaker 7: Smith is the guy to revoke your NBA Hall of
- 8:35Speaker 7: Fame card, right, Like he's the guy that gets to
- 8:38Speaker 7: take it away from you Burg.
- 8:40Speaker 5: Yeah, Bobara Doris maybe yeah, Jackie McMillen.
- 8:43Speaker 3: Maybe he think people ad of that's very Boston. Well,
- 8:48Speaker 3: I mean I grew upbraiding them, so that the first
- 8:49Speaker 3: name that came to mind. But is he? I don't
- 8:52Speaker 3: mean to say this, like I'm not trying to upset you.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Just who was having these conversations about James Harden being
- 8:57Speaker 3: an all time great? That's where I mean, I could
- 8:59Speaker 3: I could list them for you, but just just look
- 9:01Speaker 3: at it.
- 9:01Speaker 6: Does James Harden have this big fan base? Like I
- 9:05Speaker 6: don't want to associate James Harden with with having like
- 9:08Speaker 6: this devoted following that's going to defend James Harden to
- 9:11Speaker 6: the end of the earth, because he seems like a
- 9:13Speaker 6: tough player to kind of defend to the end of
- 9:15Speaker 6: the earth. Like listener, Jalen Brunson is my guy. I
- 9:19Speaker 6: will defend Jalen Brunson, so the end of time. But
- 9:22Speaker 6: that's Knicks fan saying they'll defend Harden or Knicks fan
- 9:25Speaker 6: saying they'll defend Brunson Brunton. Harden doesn't really have that
- 9:29Speaker 6: team that he's really associated with anymore.
- 9:31Speaker 5: There are people who suggest James Harden change the game forever,
- 9:35Speaker 5: like they'll just show you the images of people defending
- 9:39Speaker 5: him from the side from the side so that he
- 9:42Speaker 5: wouldn't be able to do his you know, little step
- 9:44Speaker 5: back move and everything else. And really, while that is
- 9:48Speaker 5: is just James Harden perfecting the act of a like
- 9:53Speaker 5: the referees, right, He's using the way the game is
- 9:56Speaker 5: officiated to his benefit. And so therefore the other players
- 9:59Speaker 5: were literally throwing their ends up in the air and saying,
- 10:01Speaker 5: I don't know what you want me to do. I'm
- 10:02Speaker 5: going to try this crazy stuff over here, when really
- 10:05Speaker 5: he wasn't this dynamic athlete or basketball player who was
- 10:09Speaker 5: doing all of these amazing things. He basically took advantage
- 10:12Speaker 5: of a couple of rules where you can't touch a shooter,
- 10:15Speaker 5: and you know he's going to reach down and make
- 10:17Speaker 5: you reach his arm and slap at his arm when
- 10:19Speaker 5: he goes to the bucket and he's going to get
- 10:21Speaker 5: his free throws.
- 10:21Speaker 3: That's it.
- 10:22Speaker 5: That's his power, that's his superpower. And when that's not
- 10:25Speaker 5: going to be there all the time, he's going to
- 10:26Speaker 5: look like a less than average player. That's not who
- 10:28Speaker 5: you want leading your team.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Those people are dumb. Who's ever saying that, Who's ever
- 10:32Speaker 3: having these conversations? They're just I'm not saying they're not
- 10:34Speaker 3: having those conversations. It's just I'd never thought of James
- 10:37Speaker 3: Harden as an all time great. I'll never think of
- 10:39Speaker 3: James Harden as an all time great. I think he
- 10:41Speaker 3: would have been had a better chance of being an
- 10:43Speaker 3: all time great. And Kevin Durant, by the way, if
- 10:46Speaker 3: the three of them just stayed together, Westbrook, Durant, and Harden,
- 10:49Speaker 3: if they somehow just stayed together, perhaps James Harden would
- 10:52Speaker 3: be in the conversation of all time great. I just
- 10:54Speaker 3: wasn't aware. And again, I don't say this to upset
- 10:56Speaker 3: you that there's some weird James harden Colt who defends
- 10:59Speaker 3: him at all cost. You know, it's crazy.
- 11:02Speaker 6: One of the names mentioned for the Hall of Fame
- 11:04Speaker 6: card status holder was Bob Ryan. And I have my
- 11:09Speaker 6: I have my Twitter notifications on for anytime Bob Brian tweets,
- 11:13Speaker 6: and once I heard the name Bob Brian, I was like,
- 11:15Speaker 6: this is my land to talk a little Bob Bryan.
- 11:18Speaker 6: Somebody tweeted a picture that said name a famous queen
- 11:22Speaker 6: not named Victoria or Elizabeth, and Bob Bryan responded to
- 11:27Speaker 6: the tweet and said, Latifa, get him on.
- 11:41Speaker 3: It is classic, Bob. You're right. We used to do
- 11:43Speaker 3: a segment called we used to have Bob on to
- 11:45Speaker 3: explain his tweets because sometimes they're a bit all over
- 11:48Speaker 3: the place, and Bob would come on, I'd read them
- 11:51Speaker 3: to him, I'd read him to the audience, and then
- 11:52Speaker 3: he would explain that what he was trying to say,
- 11:54Speaker 3: go ahead, Taylor, but.
- 11:56Speaker 6: We don't need any expl explanation there like that.
- 11:59Speaker 3: That queer tea queen with queen.
- 12:02Speaker 5: Bob Bryan has always had his thumb on the pulse
- 12:05Speaker 5: of pop culture in the nineties, and that.
- 12:11Speaker 3: Sweet should be on the Mount Rushmore of tweets. Seriously,
- 12:14Speaker 3: that is a great job. It's so unsuspecting. From Bob
- 12:18Speaker 3: Ryan speaking of Mount Rushmore's listen, Bordot Ricardo, I'm going
- 12:24Speaker 3: to Ai Colin here, Okay, I just want to let
- 12:27Speaker 3: you know, so you take your eyes off the TV
- 12:29Speaker 3: and stop watching soccer for a minute. The Mount Rushmore,
- 12:32Speaker 3: according to Ai Colin of New York Knicks, four.
- 12:37Speaker 4: Of New York Knicks starts with Patrick Ewing fifteen years franchise, Cornerstone, the.
- 12:42Speaker 3: Face of the Garden.
- 12:43Speaker 4: Then I'm going Walt Clyde, Fraser, Willis Reid, and I'll
- 12:46Speaker 4: put Jalen Brunson on it right now because he's already
- 12:48Speaker 4: shacking forty point nights and dragging them through big moments, Tess,
- 12:52Speaker 4: the mixed titles, Legacy, and the Modern Engine.
- 12:56Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 12:56Speaker 5: I think Ai Colin might be a victim to recency bias.
- 12:59Speaker 5: Also had mellow, probably no.
- 13:05Speaker 3: Not necessarily mellow. Bernard King. Yeah, I gotta go Bernard King.
- 13:09Speaker 5: I mean, look, while we were talking to Greene yesterday,
- 13:12Speaker 5: I spend most of the time just looking at Bernard
- 13:14Speaker 5: King's stats.
- 13:14Speaker 3: That dude was good talk about the king. He should
- 13:17Speaker 3: have been a chosen one, right.
- 13:19Speaker 6: I also have another I also have another athlete if
- 13:23Speaker 6: they were named after a designer brand. What okay, what
- 13:28Speaker 6: is this right, Jeff Giorgio Armani's.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Do you have demos lea fornoun step wrong? I'm so stupid.
- 13:40Speaker 3: Eight seven seven for the Herd eight seven seven for
- 13:43Speaker 3: the Herd is by the way, st I also believe
- 13:46Speaker 3: that no, I'm going to run right through this.
- 13:47Speaker 5: I also believe that James Harden is going to ruin
- 13:50Speaker 5: these cavaliers.
- 13:51Speaker 3: He's gonna ruin these cavaliers.
- 13:52Speaker 5: Donovan Mitchell is already not like the vocal like raw ra,
- 13:57Speaker 5: let's go leader, and then James Harden is definitely not
- 14:01Speaker 5: that right, So if James Harden is playing like poo poo,
- 14:04Speaker 5: you're not gonna see Donovan Mitchell go after him. In fact,
- 14:06Speaker 5: I don't know if you saw this after the game
- 14:08Speaker 5: where Donovan Mitchell is like, We're not worried.
- 14:10Speaker 3: He's James Harden. That's exactly why you should be worried.
- 14:13Speaker 5: Like, honestly, if I'm the coach there, I'm probably lessening
- 14:17Speaker 5: his minutes to like twenty four, twenty two, and then
- 14:19Speaker 5: just see what happens, because it's pretty obvious when you
- 14:21Speaker 5: continually have more turnovers than field goals made, you should
- 14:24Speaker 5: not be the point guard.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Taylor put it on the pole. Does is he care
- 14:28Speaker 3: about James Harden more than any other person on the planet.
- 14:32Speaker 5: I've never cared about a Cleveland Cavaliers basketball playoff series.
- 14:35Speaker 3: More than this one because of James Harden. So I
- 14:38Speaker 3: mean I'm looking up. Yeah, go ahead, Taylor, go ahead.
- 14:41Speaker 6: As a Yankee fan, to me, what this feels like,
- 14:44Speaker 6: is I am hyper aware to any time anybody says
- 14:47Speaker 6: anything about Derek Jeter to where if I'll like just
- 14:51Speaker 6: be walking down the street and all of a sudden,
- 14:53Speaker 6: my spidy senses start tingling, being like, I could I
- 14:55Speaker 6: know somebody right now in Boston on Weei is talking
- 14:59Speaker 6: about Derek Jeter not being that great of a defender.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Right Taylor, I know we were talking about, you know,
- 15:08Speaker 3: wrong place, wrong time, kind of hall of fame, right place,
- 15:11Speaker 3: right time. Taylor, leave the room for a second. Okay,
- 15:14Speaker 3: just if you wouldn't mind, because I want to ask
- 15:15Speaker 3: these guys a question. Don't you dare here?
- 15:24Speaker 4: No?
- 15:25Speaker 3: Because because I do believe, like with Draymond Green, I
- 15:28Speaker 3: was thinking about this. Michael Irvin once told me, really
- 15:31Speaker 3: thinking about Draymond Green a lot the last twenty four hours.
- 15:33Speaker 3: I really have because I don't listen. I've been thinking
- 15:36Speaker 3: about his career and whether or not I would like
- 15:38Speaker 3: to have his career. But but, but, Draymond Green is
- 15:42Speaker 3: not a guy if you placed him, if he was
- 15:44Speaker 3: drafted by the Hornets. Okay, there's no way that Draymond
- 15:48Speaker 3: Green has the career that he's had. So he landed
- 15:52Speaker 3: right place, right time. Okay. Michael Irvin used to tell
- 15:56Speaker 3: me that there were guys who win championships, and there
- 15:59Speaker 3: are guys who win those guys championships, meaning the reason
- 16:02Speaker 3: they have rings is because of guys like Michael Jordan.
- 16:06Speaker 3: And there's a big, big difference. Now, basketball is a
- 16:09Speaker 3: different sport. You're playing five at a time. One guy
- 16:12Speaker 3: is as important in that sport than any other sport. So, Taylor,
- 16:16Speaker 3: I need you to leave the room for a second
- 16:18Speaker 3: when I ask these guys this question, because I want
- 16:20Speaker 3: them to guess what your reaction is going to be. Okay,
- 16:24Speaker 3: he's gone, Derek Jeter if he goes to the Pirates, Okay,
- 16:30Speaker 3: right place, right time, Mikey's gonna get mad at me
- 16:33Speaker 3: already see it. But if Derek Jeter plays out his
- 16:36Speaker 3: entire career with the Pittsburgh Pirates, we do not think
- 16:39Speaker 3: of Derek Jeter the way we do today. Is that fair?
- 16:43Speaker 3: Do you think Taylor Judian after that? Yes, is right place,
- 16:46Speaker 3: right time? Hall of Fame. Yes, I'm saying if he
- 16:50Speaker 3: played for the Pirates, he would not be Derek Jeter
- 16:52Speaker 3: how he would be. But you know what I'm saying,
- 16:55Speaker 3: I think Taylor will divorce you on the spot. I
- 16:57Speaker 3: think it's you that and maybe Izzy that's no company.
- 17:03Speaker 5: No company, No Taylor company is leaving now, the VIP
- 17:06Speaker 5: room gone.
- 17:07Speaker 6: I'll tell you what happens if Derek Jeter was a pirate.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Wait, how'd you get back in? Jason, We're supposed to
- 17:12Speaker 3: be listening.
- 17:13Speaker 6: Jason Kendall becomes Joorge Pisada, Oliver Perez becomes Andy Pettitt.
- 17:18Speaker 6: The pieces around Derek Jeter, Derek Jeter is an elevator.
- 17:21Speaker 6: Everybody around Derek Jeter gets better. Aramas Ramirez today is
- 17:25Speaker 6: a Hall of Famer. If Derek Jeter was a pirate.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Right, terrible person to choose Derek Jeter of all.
- 17:35Speaker 2: People's the worst one.
- 17:37Speaker 3: No, it's no, it is guys, Come on serious. If
- 17:39Speaker 3: Derek Jeter was if he came up in the Pirate's
- 17:42Speaker 3: farm system and played his entire career for Pittsburgh, you
- 17:46Speaker 3: think Jeter's good enough where Pittsburgh would have won World Series?
- 17:50Speaker 3: What are you crazy? Tell you? I'll tell you another thing.
- 17:52Speaker 5: Not only good, but Jim Leland was the manager of
- 17:56Speaker 5: the Pittsburgh Pirates in nineteen ninety six, which.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Was Derek Jeter's rookie year. Okay, with the Yankees.
- 18:01Speaker 5: If Jim Leland had been managing Derek Jeter as a rookie,
- 18:05Speaker 5: he never would have left Pittsburgh, never would have gotten
- 18:07Speaker 5: to Florida, never would have won a World Series with
- 18:09Speaker 5: the Marlins.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Okay, he would have stayed there. He would have stayed
- 18:12Speaker 3: there and managed Derek Jeter for the entirety of his career.
- 18:15Speaker 6: Brian Giles would be Bernie Williams.
- 18:18Speaker 3: What are you guys? So wait, what do you do
- 18:21Speaker 3: with the Pirate? So the Pirates would be the Yankees.
- 18:24Speaker 3: There would be a monument park out at Pittsburgh Stadium right.
- 18:28Speaker 5: Now where I'm actually sitting there flipping through the seasons
- 18:31Speaker 5: of Pittsburgh starting in ninety six, not a five hundred
- 18:34Speaker 5: season among them. And so yeah, Derek Jeter would have
- 18:37Speaker 5: turned this into more than a respectable organization.
- 18:39Speaker 3: Again, remember David Wells. Yeah, pirates had Kip Wells. He
- 18:43Speaker 3: becomes a sad thing.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Seriously, a couple of Wells cutting it up.
- 18:47Speaker 5: Yeah, and now I'm looking at two thousand and nine
- 18:49Speaker 5: to see if he would have won the World Series
- 18:50Speaker 5: with those Pittsburgh Pirates Man sixty two and ninety nine
- 18:53Speaker 5: would have had a lot of.
- 18:53Speaker 3: Work to do, right, That's what I'm saying. One guy
- 18:56Speaker 3: does not make up that difference, not in that sport,
- 18:58Speaker 3: not when you're playing nine guys. AT's does it work
- 19:00Speaker 3: like that?
- 19:01Speaker 5: I mean, come on to suggest that Derek Jeter is
- 19:04Speaker 5: in the right place, right time.
- 19:06Speaker 3: Hall of Fame might be one of your worst takes. No,
- 19:09Speaker 3: it's not, no tate Derek Jeter off the Yankees. Okay,
- 19:12Speaker 3: he goes it's the right place at the right time,
- 19:15Speaker 3: that's all. He was its right place, right tight, that's all.
- 19:17Speaker 5: But I could have picked about a dozen organizations that
- 19:20Speaker 5: would have been the right place for the right time
- 19:21Speaker 5: for that guy.
- 19:22Speaker 3: Because that guy is that good, right do you agree
- 19:25Speaker 3: Scotty Pippen right place, right time, Yes, yes, right, like
- 19:29Speaker 3: Scotty Pippen goes to the LA Clippers and he's not
- 19:32Speaker 3: Scotty Pippen. That's what I'm saying.
- 19:33Speaker 5: He's not in the right place, right place, right time,
- 19:36Speaker 5: hall of Fame because I still think he would have
- 19:38Speaker 5: had a Hall of Fame career. It might have been
- 19:41Speaker 5: fringe as opposed to automatic first ballot Hall of Famer,
- 19:44Speaker 5: but he still would have been a five to six
- 19:46Speaker 5: maybe seven time All Star, great defender, probably would have
- 19:49Speaker 5: had a Hall of Fame career for himself.
- 19:51Speaker 3: So every year would have been similar to the year
- 19:53Speaker 3: he played without Jordan, where they get to the Eastern
- 19:55Speaker 3: Conference semi finals. He was still a very good player.
- 19:57Speaker 3: He was in the conversation that year. Yeah for sure, MVP.
- 20:00Speaker 3: All right, all right, that's fair. But Jeter to the Royals,
- 20:03Speaker 3: I mean, come on, I mean, what do you guys?
- 20:05Speaker 3: All right? Me back to nineteen ninety six Royals and
- 20:08Speaker 3: see what they were doing. Do the Pirates playing pinstripes?
- 20:10Speaker 3: Like what are we doing? I don't understand serious.
- 20:15Speaker 6: We would have got pinstripes added to the Pirates uniform
- 20:19Speaker 6: Pittsburgh and pirates would have stood for pinstripes.
- 20:24Speaker 5: What we're doing right now, Steve is going to break

- 21:28Speaker 3: Coming away, all right, I have a question for you
- 21:30Speaker 3: guys before we get to OK see in the Lakers
- 21:35Speaker 3: interesting that the Lakers feel like the refs have it
- 21:38Speaker 3: in for him. We'll get to that in just a second.
- 21:42Speaker 3: Lebron was great again. I gotta tell you, I watch,
- 21:44Speaker 3: even as they lose by eighteen every time I watched Lebron,
- 21:47Speaker 3: and I'm marvel I did that. He's doing this at
- 21:49Speaker 3: this age. It's pretty impressive. But the question I have
- 21:52Speaker 3: for you, guys is I played a sound from you
- 21:56Speaker 3: sound for you about a month ago of Tom Ronaldi
- 21:59Speaker 3: right before the Masters, talking telling a story about how
- 22:03Speaker 3: he was invited by a guest to play at Augusta
- 22:06Speaker 3: and he could bring somebody with him, and the first
- 22:09Speaker 3: call he made was to his brother. Now his brother
- 22:13Speaker 3: worked for the government. He couldn't get the day off,
- 22:15Speaker 3: he couldn't make it down to Augusta to play in
- 22:17Speaker 3: the round. So Tom took a friend who was you know,
- 22:20Speaker 3: at a very desperate time in his life, and it
- 22:23Speaker 3: was healing for his friend, but his brother couldn't go.
- 22:26Speaker 3: And then Tom told us later on that his brother
- 22:29Speaker 3: was upset. And you know, me and mikey A made
- 22:31Speaker 3: frond of his brother, because when you get the call
- 22:33Speaker 3: to play Augusta, you drop everything you do, you're doing,
- 22:37Speaker 3: and you go play that course. You go play Augusta,
- 22:40Speaker 3: you go play where they play the Masters. That's what
- 22:43Speaker 3: you have to do. I don't care what your job is. Quit.
- 22:46Speaker 3: So we had that story. Then we had the story
- 22:49Speaker 3: yesterday of Mike gree Quit, of Mike Greenberg. Okay, he
- 22:55Speaker 3: was offered two court side seats and he called his son,
- 23:00Speaker 3: and his son couldn't make it home for the game.
- 23:02Speaker 3: And to make matters worse, Greedy took his daughter and
- 23:05Speaker 3: the daughter was shaking hands with Challamet and Jay Z
- 23:09Speaker 3: and all the celebrities who were sitting courtside at the nexday.
- 23:12Speaker 3: But we all know the sun was really really upset.
- 23:15Speaker 3: And so I am asking you, guys, which one is worse,
- 23:18Speaker 3: the son not being able to sit courtside for nick
- 23:21Speaker 3: Sixers with his dad court side next to Jay Z
- 23:25Speaker 3: with his dad for a game against the Sixers of
- 23:29Speaker 3: the postseason, or Ronaldi's brother not being able to make
- 23:33Speaker 3: it down to Augusta to play that course.
- 23:36Speaker 5: Uh me, personally, it's way worse to miss out on
- 23:39Speaker 5: the court side Knicks playoff experience number one, because I
- 23:43Speaker 5: don't care how many azaleas there are.
- 23:45Speaker 3: Golf is frustrating for me.
- 23:48Speaker 5: I will tear that course apart just out of frustration,
- 23:51Speaker 5: more so than I will have a lovely time and
- 23:53Speaker 5: so and you know with the next thing, there's also
- 23:56Speaker 5: evidence that you were.
- 23:57Speaker 3: There, right.
- 23:58Speaker 7: Yeah, there's an easy answer to this and it's not.
- 24:04Speaker 3: Hm. The easy answer is.
- 24:07Speaker 7: Sorry, here's an easy answer to this, and it's not
- 24:09Speaker 7: what iz he said. There's an amount of money you
- 24:12Speaker 7: can pay to sit court side at any game. There
- 24:15Speaker 7: isn't an amount of money you can pay without knowing
- 24:17Speaker 7: somebody to play Augusta. Yes, Like, if I empty my
- 24:23Speaker 7: savings account and take out a loan, I can go
- 24:25Speaker 7: sit court side at the next next game. But I
- 24:27Speaker 7: can't get on at Augusta this week.
- 24:30Speaker 5: Why am I harassing somebody just to be frustrated for
- 24:33Speaker 5: four hours straight? Like again, I don't care how pretty
- 24:36Speaker 5: the flowers are or the greens are.
- 24:39Speaker 3: I'm taking a Knicks game.
- 24:40Speaker 6: I'm busy on this one because I am not. No,
- 24:45Speaker 6: I love golf. I absolutely love golf.
- 24:48Speaker 5: You practices his golf swing in front of the elevator
- 24:50Speaker 5: pretty much every day.
- 24:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:51Speaker 6: If you told me, hey, you could play Augusta five
- 24:55Speaker 6: years from now or sit at a court side seat
- 24:58Speaker 6: at a Knicks game, I'm true playing Augusta five years
- 25:01Speaker 6: from now, and then the next five years I'm going
- 25:03Speaker 6: to be training like I'm prime Tiger Woods for Augusta.
- 25:07Speaker 6: I don't want to go to Augusta and shoot up
- 25:09Speaker 6: one hundred and fifty.
- 25:11Speaker 3: Yeah, but you played Augusta. It's a once in a
- 25:13Speaker 3: lifetime experience. And as Mikey said, you can time experience.
- 25:16Speaker 3: I shot two hundred. So what But Taylor, you don't
- 25:19Speaker 3: get five months to prepare. You're not on the PGA tour.
- 25:22Speaker 3: When someone calls and says come play Augusta, you don't
- 25:24Speaker 3: have any time to prepare.
- 25:25Speaker 5: You quit win your job. You go play the chords.
- 25:27Speaker 5: I mean, when you're done with the round, what do
- 25:29Speaker 5: people ask you? Stud how'd you shoot it? And if
- 25:32Speaker 5: you're shot at two hundred, me wrong?
- 25:35Speaker 3: No, prove me wrong. So if you remember the story
- 25:38Speaker 3: that Ronaldi told about the friend that he took His
- 25:41Speaker 3: friend played terribly, but he didn't care. He was playing
- 25:43Speaker 3: Augusta and it was life changing for him. It was
- 25:46Speaker 3: healing for him. Yeah, I'm not that hurt. I don't
- 25:49Speaker 3: need that much healing. I'm goodly. That is Mikey Mikey thought.
- 25:54Speaker 4: So.
- 25:55Speaker 3: I spoke to Mikey about this before the show started,
- 25:57Speaker 3: and I was with him obvious answer. Everyone's going to
- 26:00Speaker 3: say Augusta and yet here we are divided. That's what
- 26:03Speaker 3: sports radio is all about. We can't have goodsensus. We
- 26:06Speaker 3: have to be.
- 26:08Speaker 5: I'm taking that Knicks court side game and I'm looking
- 26:11Speaker 5: over at Shalo May and I'm doing one of these
- 26:13Speaker 5: like you and me, You and me, and I'm signaling
- 26:16Speaker 5: jersey swap because i want that jacket he was wearing
- 26:19Speaker 5: so badly. It's not gonna look good on me, but
- 26:21Speaker 5: I want it. I'll be playing celebrities doing jersey swaps
- 26:25Speaker 5: after the game.
- 26:26Speaker 3: I'd watch that, Uh would you? Why? Well, mostly because
- 26:30Speaker 3: they're gonna take their shirts off in front of people.
- 26:34Speaker 6: I'm an irrational confidence as a Knicks fan and just
- 26:38Speaker 6: somebody in the younger stages of my life being thirty two.
- 26:42Speaker 6: If I met Timothy Shallomey. I think me and him
- 26:44Speaker 6: would be friends like me currently him currently him being
- 26:50Speaker 6: one of the biggest celebrities in on Earth. I think
- 26:53Speaker 6: we would connect over our love for the Knicks so
- 26:56Speaker 6: much that like he'd be like, you want to you
- 26:58Speaker 6: want to come to this after already today Sabrina Carpenter's
- 27:01Speaker 6: even even some of the Knicks can't get on that.
- 27:02Speaker 3: List hit on the Garden Floor.
- 27:05Speaker 4: No.
- 27:05Speaker 3: I think Taylor's right. You're friends by association, meaning if
- 27:08Speaker 3: you're sitting in the front row, everyone thinks you're a celebrity,
- 27:11Speaker 3: you're important, you mean something, And I think you could
- 27:13Speaker 3: parlay that experience into being friends and tricking Chalo May
- 27:17Speaker 3: into thinking that you're actually important and as famous as
- 27:21Speaker 3: he is. I did.
- 27:22Speaker 5: I don't want to give anybody any ideas, but I
- 27:24Speaker 5: would absolutely watch sort of a buddy cop movie with
- 27:28Speaker 5: Ben Stiller and Timothy Shalomy and the premises they're both
- 27:31Speaker 5: great detectives also huge Knicks fans.
- 27:35Speaker 3: I would watch it and Taylor would probably have a
- 27:37Speaker 3: cameo because they connect that way.
- 27:40Speaker 7: I love that Taylor thinks that like he's the only
- 27:43Speaker 7: other Knicks fan for Timmy to Chalomey to connect to.
- 27:46Speaker 6: No because Stu, you know, growing up listening to wfan,
- 27:51Speaker 6: like some of those hosts became actual friends with people
- 27:54Speaker 6: in the market, or like like wfan hosts are friends
- 27:59Speaker 6: with Sin Elder, w F a n host our friends
- 28:02Speaker 6: with people of that stature. I don't think it's crazy
- 28:05Speaker 6: to say that if Timothy shallow May heard me talk
- 28:08Speaker 6: about the Knicks and was like, man, this guy's kind
- 28:10Speaker 6: of funny. He's kind of got some charactermatic charm to him.
- 28:14Speaker 6: His girlfriend gets along with Kylie very well charismatic.
- 28:20Speaker 3: So you're talking about the relationship that Steve Summers has
- 28:23Speaker 3: with Jerry Seidefelm and thinking you could do the same
- 28:27Speaker 3: with Timothy Shallamet Salakata.
- 28:29Speaker 5: I love how Taylor is such a pure sports fan
- 28:31Speaker 5: that when he's not watching the sports he loves, he's
- 28:34Speaker 5: fantasizing about hanging out with celebrity fans of the sports
- 28:38Speaker 5: he loves.
- 28:38Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I agree with Taylor. I do think himmy
- 28:41Speaker 3: Shallome would get along. I really do.
- 28:44Speaker 6: Stu saw me in Tahoe. There's a switch I could
- 28:48Speaker 6: flip when I have to be overly confident to be
- 28:51Speaker 6: like buddy buddy with people me and me and Vince
- 28:53Speaker 6: Carter were holding court for you know, I saw in
- 28:56Speaker 6: Super Bowl week Stu came back and he was like, Hey,
- 28:58Speaker 6: did you get Vince Carter on the show? What show?
- 29:02Speaker 3: He was holding court with Vince Carter while I was
- 29:05Speaker 3: hosting the show by myself. Didn't bother ask Vince to
- 29:09Speaker 3: come on the show. Became friends with Vince, but never
- 29:12Speaker 3: got Vince on the show. He was josted. Colin Jose
- 29:15Speaker 3: is always out in Lake Tahoe, and I told Taylor
- 29:17Speaker 3: be careful because when guys say hey, I'll be right over,
- 29:20Speaker 3: and that means they're never coming over to the table.
- 29:22Speaker 3: So stand by him and stay with him. But Taylor
- 29:25Speaker 3: is a different person, like I'm telling you, when he
- 29:27Speaker 3: has a microphone in front of it, in front of
- 29:29Speaker 3: his face, he's more confident when he works a room
- 29:32Speaker 3: and it's the most famous room in sports. I am
- 29:34Speaker 3: telling you right now that Lake Tahoe room the night
- 29:37Speaker 3: before the tournament starts is as famous a sports room
- 29:40Speaker 3: and celebrity room as you'll ever walk in. You have,
- 29:43Speaker 3: you know, sixty seventy celebrities all in one place, and
- 29:46Speaker 3: I am telling you is he This is going to
- 29:48Speaker 3: be shocking to both of you that Taylor worked that
- 29:51Speaker 3: room the way I would work that room. It was
- 29:53Speaker 3: amazing to see.
- 29:55Speaker 6: Exactly all I'm asking for is the one on one
- 29:57Speaker 6: time with Shalla May. Just just get me in the meeting.
- 30:00Speaker 6: Let me give him my elevator pitch on why I
- 30:02Speaker 6: think I would be a great friend to him. This
- 30:04Speaker 6: is the same kid who the Knicks were doing like
- 30:07Speaker 6: ticket giveaways. It was Landry Fields and Andy Rautins, the
- 30:12Speaker 6: Syracuse Sharpshooter they were doing. They were doing ticket giveaways like, Hey,
- 30:16Speaker 6: the first fans that could find us here at Grand
- 30:18Speaker 6: Central are gonna win these tickets. And it was like
- 30:21Speaker 6: a seven. It was like a ten year old Timothy
- 30:23Speaker 6: shallow May winning these tickets. Like Timothy shallow May is
- 30:26Speaker 6: as diehard a Knicks fan as a celebrity Knicks fan
- 30:29Speaker 6: can get. And I'm just saying that we would have
- 30:32Speaker 6: that one common thing to bond. Justin Bieber is another
- 30:35Speaker 6: person that I kind of have this this thought with
- 30:37Speaker 6: because we were both born March first, nineteen ninety four,
- 30:40Speaker 6: so I were added.
- 30:41Speaker 5: I think Tina Fey and I would get along famously. Tina,
- 30:44Speaker 5: if you want to hang out at any given time,
- 30:45Speaker 5: that'd be amazing.
- 30:47Speaker 3: He's an introd, proven run I stay with him. Get
- 30:54Speaker 3: Justin Bieber over here, proven run STU.
- 30:56Speaker 6: If I walked up to Justin Bieber and and my
- 31:00Speaker 6: my icebreaker was hey, I pull out my ID. Yeah,
- 31:04Speaker 6: and he looks at my ID and he sees March first,
- 31:06Speaker 6: nineteen ninety four, his exact birthday down to the year.
- 31:10Speaker 6: Connection would be like, oh, connection point, here we go. Yes,
- 31:13Speaker 6: it's a conversation that is, we have the same birthday.
- 31:16Speaker 6: Me and ad Nan have the same birthday. It's aw,
- 31:18Speaker 6: we became friends. I mean, I'm not gonna impressed, no, not, no,
- 31:23Speaker 6: not at all. My point is it's a connection point
- 31:27Speaker 6: that led to a friendship.
- 31:28Speaker 3: That's all I'm saying. And I believe in Taylor and
- 31:31Speaker 3: his ability to make connection points and then become friends
- 31:35Speaker 3: with that I do. And then once they really get
- 31:37Speaker 3: to know him and realize he doesn't have much to say,
- 31:40Speaker 3: perhaps the friendship dissolves from there.
- 31:42Speaker 5: I mean, I think, if you're sitting at a table
- 31:44Speaker 5: with Justin Bieber and Timothy Shallo, may it might be
- 31:47Speaker 5: the most fame currently, the most famous table in the world.
- 31:51Speaker 6: Yeah, Taylor, And I think I think if you if
- 31:55Speaker 6: I was sitting at a table with Charalamaine Bieber, I
- 31:57Speaker 6: would not be so out of place where somebody would
- 31:59Speaker 6: be like, who's that guy? Well, people would say who's
- 32:01Speaker 6: that guy just because they don't know me, but they
- 32:04Speaker 6: would be like, that guy is somebody right?
- 32:07Speaker 3: One seed, one court side seat at Madison Square Garden,
- 32:11Speaker 3: Bieber or Shalome who gets it? That's not even close by?
- 32:16Speaker 3: Waylime is? How about Stiller or Bieber? It's still kill
- 32:22Speaker 3: It shouldn't be Stiller though, I mean he was at
- 32:23Speaker 3: the Met gallon right, And seriously.
- 32:26Speaker 6: Don't question Ben Stiller's nicks bona fides. This Ben's Ben
- 32:29Speaker 6: Stiller is the fan who's like, oh, Kevin Knox just
- 32:33Speaker 6: looked really great in Game seven of Summer League, Like
- 32:36Speaker 6: like Ben Stiller, people are giving him a hard time
- 32:38Speaker 6: for missing Game one and going to the Met Gala.
- 32:41Speaker 6: I will not say a bad word about Ben. So
- 32:45Speaker 6: I would love for Ben Stower to get on the show.
- 32:47Speaker 6: Maybe Hank's area, if you.
- 32:48Speaker 3: Get him, maybe he could, yes, maybe yes, he could
- 32:52Speaker 3: introduce you to Timothy Shallomey Hank's area. You could. By
- 32:55Speaker 3: the way, I.
- 32:56Speaker 5: Think it might be the most famous person that was
- 32:58Speaker 5: born on June twenty sixth, nineteen seventy seven.
- 33:01Speaker 3: There's no way, it's impossible. There's no way. I'm gonna
- 33:06Speaker 3: drop some names on her. You tell me if you
- 33:07Speaker 3: know them. Cubo, oh, I love t Yes, Mark jin
- 33:13Speaker 3: drag j Yeah, Jinny Riccardo knows him. But do you
- 33:18Speaker 3: know me more?
- 33:19Speaker 6: You do?
- 33:20Speaker 3: Hey? Posa poser? And then Quincy Lewis, who apparently played
- 33:25Speaker 3: in the NBA, who had That's what his friends called.
- 33:31Speaker 5: The funny thing is, while I might be the most
- 33:33Speaker 5: famous person, I somehow didn't make this list that I
- 33:36Speaker 5: that I googled.
- 33:37Speaker 3: So maybe not. I might never get to I might
- 33:43Speaker 3: never get to Oklahoma City and the Lakers, because I
- 33:46Speaker 3: have another question. If you're Greedy and you have two
- 33:48Speaker 3: court side seats, and you have a family of four,
- 33:51Speaker 3: and everyone's available to go to the game, what do
- 33:53Speaker 3: you do? Who do you invite? So he has a son,
- 33:56Speaker 3: he has a daughter, and he has a wife, but
- 33:59Speaker 3: he has two takes, and Greedy made it very clear
- 34:01Speaker 3: that he was using one of those two tickets. There
- 34:04Speaker 3: was no way he was giving them to his son
- 34:07Speaker 3: and his daughter to go to the game together. Greenie
- 34:10Speaker 3: was going, So what do you do with that other
- 34:12Speaker 3: ticket because I like where Greenie was thinking, because this
- 34:15Speaker 3: is what I would do. Find somebody, anybody. In fact,
- 34:19Speaker 3: this is the first call I would make, because I
- 34:20Speaker 3: wouldn't want to decide between Emma or Rachel. Okay, and
- 34:24Speaker 3: Abby's out of the equation. She has no interest in
- 34:26Speaker 3: going to that game. The first call I would make, Okay,
- 34:30Speaker 3: I would hire a sales team to do this for me,
- 34:33Speaker 3: is find somebody that could do something for me that
- 34:36Speaker 3: I couldn't do, access to something I wouldn't normally have
- 34:39Speaker 3: access to unless I took this guy, this person to
- 34:43Speaker 3: the next game. It's that court side. It would be
- 34:45Speaker 3: a member at Augusta. I'm telling you, I would hire
- 34:49Speaker 3: a sales staff of fifteen people to cold call until
- 34:53Speaker 3: we found the guy that I wanted.
- 34:54Speaker 6: You're auctioning off the ticket for favors.
- 34:57Speaker 5: Yes, s finding hilarious and Stu Gatz has spent the
- 35:02Speaker 5: last twenty four hours thinking about Draymond green and Mike Greenberg.
- 35:05Speaker 5: So look at to yesterday's games. Tomorrow today we got
- 35:07Speaker 5: to talk about yesterday's topics. But Stu, to answer your question,
- 35:10Speaker 5: if I was in Greenee scenario, there it's a tough
- 35:13Speaker 5: one man. It is the kids are out of.
- 35:16Speaker 6: The question, because I think Greeney is right that you
- 35:19Speaker 6: can't split the kids up and give preferential treatment unless
- 35:23Speaker 6: one of them is like a very die hard Knicks
- 35:26Speaker 6: fan and the other really doesn't have much interest. But
- 35:29Speaker 6: it sounds like when you're raised in the Greeney household,
- 35:31Speaker 6: everybody loves sports, and that's I would expect nothing less
- 35:34Speaker 6: from the green You.
- 35:35Speaker 5: Have to pick one kid, you pick no kids, exactly,
- 35:37Speaker 5: take another adult. They'll understand.
- 35:39Speaker 6: So, Stu, what I would do is I would look
- 35:41Speaker 6: up who is on the cast of Get Up the
- 35:44Speaker 6: next day and choose who I would want to spend
- 35:47Speaker 6: the most time with. Like, if I'm looking at maybe
- 35:49Speaker 6: it's Dan Orlovsky, Dan Graziano and Dominique Foxworth. I'm looking
- 35:53Speaker 6: at that list and saying Dominiqu would probably be the
- 35:56Speaker 6: best hanging out of those three.
- 35:57Speaker 3: Yeah, he declined it easy, Yeah, easy one.

- 36:46Speaker 3: By the way, I want to get to some sound
- 36:48Speaker 3: here of Bill Simmons in just a second. But what'd
- 36:51Speaker 3: you make of the Lakers complaining here about the referees
- 36:54Speaker 3: last night? They go down two to Oklahoma City. I
- 36:56Speaker 3: thought the Lakers played well, and yet Oklahoma City. He's
- 36:58Speaker 3: still one by eighteen boys. I'm gonna sneak this in here.

- 37:21Speaker 5: pop up in the top's.
- 37:22Speaker 3: Corner corner of your screen.
- 37:23Speaker 5: What I made of that game yesterday, Stu, was that
- 37:27Speaker 5: it's not just the Lakers who are upset with the
- 37:29Speaker 5: officiating against Okac. It's every team that plays against Okac
- 37:33Speaker 5: and they're upset with the officiating. And what happens when
- 37:37Speaker 5: this happens, Stu, is now everything becomes an issue. It's
- 37:40Speaker 5: us against them, It's the Lakers versus the refs. And
- 37:43Speaker 5: then you had a situation yesterday late in the game
- 37:45Speaker 5: on a jump ball where Austin Reeves was effectively yelled
- 37:48Speaker 5: at by John Goebel, I believe, the lead ref in
- 37:51Speaker 5: that game, and Austin took that as a version as
- 37:54Speaker 5: a measure of disrespect and then went to his face afterward.
- 37:57Speaker 5: And now it's very much in us versus them situation.
- 38:00Speaker 5: And what I wonder about this do is like when
- 38:04Speaker 5: people say it is the referees that are affecting this
- 38:08Speaker 5: series or affecting every single series that Okay see plays in,
- 38:12Speaker 5: what reasoning after everything we've talked about, the NBA not
- 38:17Speaker 5: wouldn't love this team? Right zzz plus, as Taylor says,
- 38:20Speaker 5: this team leads the league in ZZZ plus. Shake guil
- 38:23Speaker 5: Just Alexander has already reached the pinnacle? Right does does
- 38:27Speaker 5: the NBA fan you know, do the NBA fans want
- 38:29Speaker 5: to see him continue to succeed?
- 38:31Speaker 3: Right?
- 38:32Speaker 5: And they're really kind of angry because they feel like
- 38:34Speaker 5: he foubates. So why would it, like, why would it
- 38:37Speaker 5: be beneficial for the officials, for the league, for anybody
- 38:40Speaker 5: to favor Okac in these games, to give Shake guil
- 38:44Speaker 5: Just Alexander these calls or to not make these calls
- 38:47Speaker 5: against Lou Dohort or you know, Alex Caruso. Why and
- 38:51Speaker 5: so either Okac is just doing an amazing job of
- 38:55Speaker 5: effectively baiting these referees in the same way that I
- 38:58Speaker 5: just complained James Harden used to do. Or yeah, everybody's
- 39:02Speaker 5: crazy or everybody's crazy and just looking for a reason
- 39:05Speaker 5: to complain about this team because they don't like watching
- 39:07Speaker 5: them play. I'm just confused by why they think the
- 39:10Speaker 5: officials would do that, because if I'm the NBA, I'm
- 39:12Speaker 5: telling the officials, hey, don't give them those calls.
- 39:14Speaker 3: We don't want to win again. Yeah, acting like, yeah,
- 39:18Speaker 3: you're suggesting those conversations happen. Fans think those everybody thinks
- 39:21Speaker 3: that conversations happened. Taylor, Why were you smirking there, because
- 39:25Speaker 3: he's right? Why would the NBA? Why would the referees?
- 39:27Speaker 3: Why would anyone want Oklahoma City to advance over the Lakers.
- 39:31Speaker 3: No one would, I mean nobody.
- 39:33Speaker 6: Especially against a team like the Lakers and Lebron And
- 39:37Speaker 6: if the Lakers make it past this series, you have
- 39:40Speaker 6: the Luca factor coming back in. What I was laughing
- 39:43Speaker 6: at is Ai Colin. I wanted to ask Ai Colin
- 39:48Speaker 6: about the Thunder Lakers game to get his thoughts on
- 39:51Speaker 6: that action.
- 39:53Speaker 4: That game, too, was the Thunder telling you we're the
- 39:55Speaker 4: grown ups here. They win one twenty five to one
- 39:58Speaker 4: oh seven and shake Gilles Alexander. It doesn't even have
- 40:00Speaker 4: to be superman. Chen Holmgren gives you twenty two. And
- 40:03Speaker 4: the scary part is they took control in that third quarter,
- 40:06Speaker 4: even with shay in foul trouble thirty two to fifteen.
- 40:09Speaker 3: While he's sitting, Austin.
- 40:11Speaker 4: Reeves drops thirty one, and it still doesn't matter because
- 40:14Speaker 4: without Luka Doncic, the Lakers just don't have enough creation
- 40:18Speaker 4: for four quarters.
- 40:20Speaker 3: Where are we even here? Man? Why can't we just
- 40:21Speaker 3: run him? Why it's his hurt, right, yea? Just have
- 40:27Speaker 3: that do the show for you. I mean, Jesus, I'm.
- 40:30Speaker 5: Sorry if you have a DeAndre Ayton, which who often
- 40:34Speaker 5: looks like a confused big man against very good defensive teams,
- 40:38Speaker 5: is giving you three points one for seven shooting, and
- 40:41Speaker 5: you're complaining about the officiating.
- 40:43Speaker 3: Like, I get it.
- 40:44Speaker 5: Everybody wants to see the thunder get put in their place.
- 40:47Speaker 5: Nobody wants to see foul baiting get rewarded. Nope, But
- 40:51Speaker 5: then do it better, you.
- 40:52Speaker 4: Know what I mean?
- 40:53Speaker 5: Like, I get that whole complaint stuff, but you're not
- 40:55Speaker 5: in position to really complain right now. Granted it's because
- 40:59Speaker 5: you know your best player is out and you just
- 41:01Speaker 5: don't really match up with this team at all, But
- 41:04Speaker 5: it gets a little tired, and I just don't love
- 41:07Speaker 5: the complaining within the series when you're clearly overmatched.
- 41:13Speaker 3: I want to ask Ai another question here before we
- 41:15Speaker 3: go to break, and Jeff pass is going to join us,
- 41:18Speaker 3: because it's a debate that we've been having since the
- 41:20Speaker 3: beginning of sports radio, and it's going to be the
- 41:23Speaker 3: last segment I do on sports Radio. On my final show,
- 41:27Speaker 3: I will end the show having this debate. And I
- 41:30Speaker 3: don't care how long it is from now, Like if
- 41:32Speaker 3: it's twenty years from now, I'll still be having this debate.
- 41:34Speaker 3: I'm not going to make it twenty years. What am
- 41:36Speaker 3: I talking about? Right? Okay? So I want to get listen.
- 41:39Speaker 3: It's the debate. I would say. Number two on the
- 41:43Speaker 3: list is Marino Montana. Number one on the sports radio
- 41:46Speaker 3: list of debates is Michael Jordan versus Lebron Ai Colin
- 41:51Speaker 3: take it away.
- 41:53Speaker 4: Michael Jordan is the greatest peak the sports ever seen,
- 41:56Speaker 4: six for six in the finals, and when the moment
- 41:59Speaker 4: got tight, he turned games into personal property. Lebron James
- 42:03Speaker 4: is the greatest career we've ever seen longevity production, and
- 42:07Speaker 4: he just passed Jordan with his five hundred and sixty
- 42:10Speaker 4: third regular season thirty point game, even if it took
- 42:12Speaker 4: him a lot more games to get there. So if
- 42:14Speaker 4: you want the scariest guy for one series, one season, one.
- 42:18Speaker 3: Last shot, it's Jordan.
- 42:20Speaker 4: If you want the best twenty year investment, it's Lebron.
- 42:23Speaker 4: That's the split peak versus lifespan, dominance versus durability.
- 42:29Speaker 3: He's a quack. That's how you do it.
