  Speaker 4: his being merciful, and to draw forth an understanding from

  Speaker 4: that nature, applying it to our lives.

  Speaker 2: So that we will excel and so that we will reign.

  Speaker 4: Remember, we reign in this kingdom on the strength of

  Speaker 4: the spiritual illumination that we have. The light that comes

  Speaker 4: to us is able to transmit us to higher dimensions
• 5:08
  Speaker 4: of possibilities.

  Speaker 4: And I did say in the first service that scripture
• 5:13
  Speaker 4: reveals the nature of God. That we study scripture among
• 5:17
  Speaker 4: other things to know God, to understand not just his methodology.

  Speaker 2: But his character and his nature. So scattered through scriptures.

  Speaker 4: Are the way God is, not just the way he acts,

  Speaker 4: the way he is. The Bible says again and again

  Speaker 4: that the Lord is gracious and compassionate, is merciful, and
• 5:39
  Speaker 4: believers are also enjoyed from scripture to be merciful and
• 5:44
  Speaker 4: to be compassionate. We looked at the first parable, the
• 5:47
  Speaker 4: parable of the good Samaritan from Luke ten twenty five
• 5:50
  Speaker 4: to thirty seven, who goes straight to the second parable,
• 5:54
  Speaker 4: Matthew chapter eighteen. Please we start from verse twenty one
• 5:58
  Speaker 4: Matthew chapter eighteen. Matthew chapter eighteen. Then came Peter to

  Speaker 4: him and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin

  Speaker 4: against me? And I forgive him till seven times? Peter

  Speaker 4: is asking a question. Now, It's amazing how Jesus mentored

  Speaker 4: the disciples. Did you know that it was at the

  Speaker 4: later part of his mentorship he began to talk about
• 6:43
  Speaker 4: issues of power and science and wonders. When he started
• 6:46
  Speaker 4: his mentorship, he started in what we call the beatitude,
• 6:49
  Speaker 4: teaching them on the ways of the kingdom. Then he
• 6:52
  Speaker 4: now started relating the culture of the kingdom, helping them
• 6:55
  Speaker 4: to connect to it and to build character in them.
• 6:58
  Speaker 2: So this was one of those sessions. And he said,

  Speaker 2: unto him until seven times.

  Speaker 4: I say, not on to thee until seven times, but
• 7:09
  Speaker 4: until seventy times seven. There's a lot of theological debate

  Speaker 4: as to what Jesus was saying. There were not going

  Speaker 4: into that twenty three twenty three. Therefore, the kingdom of

  Speaker 4: Heaven is likened onto a certain king. Here comes a parable.

  Speaker 4: his lord commanded him to be sold.

  Speaker 2: And I will pay thee all.

  Speaker 4: And he would not, but went and cast him into

  Speaker 4: prison till he should pay the debt.

  Speaker 2: So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were.

  Speaker 4: Very sorry and came and told onto their lord all

  Speaker 2: That he too. Then his lord, after he had called him,

  Speaker 4: Him, thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt

  Speaker 4: compassion on thy fellow servant, even as I had had

  Speaker 4: pity on thee thirty four. And his lord was wrought

  Speaker 4: and delivered him to the tormentos. In other words, just

  Speaker 4: hang on here isn't it amazing? He gave him a
• 9:50
  Speaker 4: harvest of messy, and the man insisted and said, the
• 9:54
  Speaker 4: harvest you gave me is wrong, because that's not the
• 9:58
  Speaker 4: seed I saw. And the Lord was happy to change.

  Speaker 4: This man got the harvest of messy, and now he

  Speaker 2: And the Master said, I gave you.

  Speaker 4: A wrong havest, and I will change that havest to

  Speaker 4: look like what you just did.

  Speaker 2: And the Bible says he was delivered to the tormento till.

  Speaker 4: He should pay all that was due onto him. So likewise,

  Speaker 2: Very very, very powerful scripture. We really can't just stop them.

  Speaker 4: The parable of the unmestiful service they call it.

  Speaker 2: Now, look at this scenario.

  Speaker 4: Jesus was teaching them on the issue of forgiveness, brotherly love,

  Speaker 4: and kindness, and he comes to a point where Peter

  Speaker 2: Him a question.

  Speaker 4: I'm sure Peter had a pile of people and he
• 11:11
  Speaker 4: needed explanations. Are you saying that all these wrongdoers and
• 11:15
  Speaker 4: all these wicked people who oppressed me while teaching, are
• 11:18
  Speaker 4: you saying I should just let things go like that?
• 11:21
  Speaker 4: And Jesus would usually not answer directly. He led him
• 11:24
  Speaker 4: to a parable and he said, let me paint the scenario.
• 11:27
  Speaker 4: There was a certain man. So this story has to
• 11:30
  Speaker 4: do with a man who owed the king. And the
• 11:33
  Speaker 4: king called for the people and said, why have you
• 11:35
  Speaker 4: not paid me my money? And the man knelt down
• 11:38
  Speaker 4: and pleaded and said, look, I desire to pay, but
• 11:42
  Speaker 4: the way with that is not there. He didn't even
• 11:45
  Speaker 4: ask the king to forgive him. He just said, can
• 11:47
  Speaker 4: you extend my time so I can go? And the
• 11:50
  Speaker 4: king looked at him and realized that before I became
• 11:53
  Speaker 4: a king, I was once like you. Someone else showed
• 11:58
  Speaker 4: me messy.

  Speaker 2: Tend that same messy, and he told him I forgive you.
• 12:03
  Speaker 2: And the man went with the joy of that pattern
• 12:06
  Speaker 2: and quickly ran and met someone who had a by.
• 12:10
  Speaker 4: Far lesser amount and said, pay me my money. And
• 12:14
  Speaker 4: the man began to plead with him and said, I'm sorry.
• 12:19
  Speaker 7: And instead of the man to remember, please learn to remember,
• 12:27
  Speaker 7: learn to remember, the Bible says, let it not be
• 12:30
  Speaker 7: when you have built houses, when you have done all
• 12:33
  Speaker 7: of this, you will say, my power and my might
• 12:35
  Speaker 7: has brought me peace.

  Speaker 2: He says, bod, thou shall remember the Lord. That means

  Speaker 2: you can forget. It was Bishop Oedpo that says, if

  Speaker 2: you can be thoughtful, then you can be thankful. It

  Speaker 2: is true. Thoughtfulness helps thanksgiving.

  Speaker 4: Thoughtfulness also helps be mescyful when you think about everything
• 12:59
  Speaker 4: God has done and you think about how.

  Speaker 2: He's lifted you. Now, he looked at this man and

  Speaker 2: he said, no way, there's no forgiveness. You are paying

  Speaker 4: But then there were other witnesses who were watching, and

  Speaker 4: they went back and told the king so and so happened,

  Speaker 4: and the king was angry. It's a sense for that man.

  Speaker 2: Again, I forgave you, and you could not let this
• 13:20
  Speaker 2: man go. To forgive such a man. This was a
• 13:24
  Speaker 2: description of the heart of a typical man.

  Speaker 4: It is easy to see the fault in others.
• 13:35
  Speaker 2: It is easy. Are we together now?
• 13:37
  Speaker 4: You watch people spectators when footballers are playing, and you
• 13:41
  Speaker 4: see them quarreling everybody, why didn't.

  Speaker 2: You pass this simple freaking and you could not score?
• 13:46
  Speaker 4: And you see them arguing and saying all kinds of things,
• 13:50
  Speaker 4: and yet that person does not even have the money
• 13:52
  Speaker 4: to buy a ball.
• 13:57
  Speaker 2: Are we together?
• 13:58
  Speaker 4: He's revealing something about the human nature that we should
• 14:02
  Speaker 4: avoid in his parable that the nature of man is
• 14:06
  Speaker 4: such that until you are in the picture of reality,
• 14:10
  Speaker 4: it is usually easier said than done. Until you become
• 14:15
  Speaker 4: a pastor, you never know the body that is upon
• 14:18
  Speaker 4: a pastor. You don't know why a person may not
• 14:22
  Speaker 4: be able to eat. And he's thinking and praying. Until
• 14:25
  Speaker 4: you become a leader, you may not know the burden
• 14:28
  Speaker 4: of being a leader.
• 14:29
  Speaker 2: Until you become a parent, you may not know what
• 14:32
  Speaker 2: it takes.
• 14:33
  Speaker 4: It is easy, and it is more comfortable to stand
• 14:37
  Speaker 4: from it this times, and to judge, to stand from
• 14:42
  Speaker 4: a dig terance, and to conclude.

  Speaker 2: Over the lives of family members, leaders, and so on

  Speaker 2: and so forth. And he's using it to teach something here.

  Speaker 4: He would run back and say, Hey, the King did

  Speaker 4: something for me, and I want to do the same

  Speaker 4: thing for you, please the ten pence you owe me
• 15:19
  Speaker 4: one hundred pence, God bless you. And he would have
• 15:23
  Speaker 4: given himself remember what I taught Hi a first advice.

  Speaker 4: Suddenly he says, come, I hear in your family no

  Speaker 4: body has reason. I am not only pardoning you because

  Speaker 4: you have shown mesty. It is your season of lifting,

  Speaker 4: and for reasons you cannot explain. Everybody and everything, including

  Speaker 4: wife rivalry everywhere, and we are believers. This is something

  Speaker 4: that happens all across the nations of the earth, and

  Speaker 4: Jesus is teaching us here that everybody who was obtained mesty.
