Transcript
- M1: Welcome back to another episode of Sister Sisters, except that today I am joined by my brother, Mouse Lit Three. Mouselet 3: Hello. M1: We have a fun episode planned for you today. We are going to be talking about things at Disney that we used to like, but we don't like anymore, as well as things at Disney that we used to not like that we like now. We also have a very fun game at the end that I'm actually so excited for called Disney Dodgeball. So stay tuned for that. But first a little bit of chit chat. Alright, everyone, as you're listening to this, Mausa two is still on her honeymoon. I believe that as of the day this releases, she will be traveling from Olani to Disneyland and going to Oogie Boogie Bash tonight. Don't quote me on that, but I think so. Mouse three, have you been following along with her honeymoon adventures? Mouselet 3: Have. I have not caught up on today's yet. I was trying to before this because I figured it might be relevant. and I did know I did notice one thing, which is that I was excited for her to go to the Kahlua Ranch, K-A-H-L-U-A, because Papa Mouse that loves Kahlua. He's not a big drinker, but like the one thing he drinks is Kahlua. And so I'm like, ooh, the Kahlua Ranch, how exciting that Mouse 2 is going. I bet Papa Mouse that's pretty excited. And then halfway through the stories, you chimed in. and corrected it and it's apparently actually completely unrelated to Kahlua, the alcoholic beverage. M1: It has nothing to do with Kahlua. It is called Kualoa Ranch. And when they first kept saying Kahlua Ranch, they were like pronouncing it that way, but I was like, well, maybe they just they're just sort of like missing a syllable or two. But then they started writing it as Kalua and I did need to reach out to them and just have them clarify that they were not going to a ranch related to the alcoholic coffee liqueur that Papa Mouse Let sometimes drinks. Yeah. Mouselet 3: Yeah, I f it's I figured it it was where it was manufactured or something. no, besides that, yes, I have been I've been following along. please, go ahead. I'm looking at your M1: I was Mouselet 3: notes and I I don't want to steal your thunder. Go ahead. M1: I was gonna say one of my biggest notes is that they cannot get on a good time zone schedule. Like literally in their stories, it's like 6 p.m. and they're like, we're exhausted. And then they go to sleep and they wake up at 3:30 a.m. I'm like, you guys need to adjust a little. Me Miles Lucy never fully adjusted. And it was nice because we would wake up like early and be able to kind of get started on the day. And then by by nighttime, like we didn't really need to do any be doing anything past like nine or something, nine or 10. But They're that I'm like, you guys just need to shift like two hours. They seem to maybe have finally done it this morning, but Mouselet 3: Except no, as of the day that we're recording this, which is Monday, they said, We're you know what, we're just not gonna adjust to Hawaii time, instead we're gonna adjust to LA time 'cause we'll be in LA in four days. So I think they're being, I guess, a little proactive about it now. And they'll be closer to fully adjusted, but not fully. M1: No, yeah, I guess they're just completely bailing on that, which okay, but we will have Mauselit 2 and Mouselit A next week to do sort of a full deep dive into their trip and talk about everything they did. So stay tuned for that. But for now, I have a bunch of Disney media thoughts. So Disney like books, movies, etc., that I wanted to share. The first is that there is a documentary. That was has been making the rounds at like film festivals and stuff and has been kind of hard to track down, but we did called Stolen Kingdom. It is about sort of it's ultimately about the fact that the Buzzy animatronic was stolen. If you know, you know. Crazy, crazy, crazy lore. If you don't, we'll do a full episode on it. But they also do like a a full lead up talking about Disney urban explorers and like people who have stolen stuff from Disney. Very related to our podcast episode a couple of weeks ago about people who have lifetime bands. And it is absolutely insane to watch because it is the most niche Mouselet 3: You saw it? M1: lore. Yeah, I watched it. Mouselet 3: How? Where? M1: someone emailed me an MP4 link and I said, thank you. And I watched it. Mouselet 3: Interest interesting? How was it? I can't believe you saw it. Really? M1: It was amazing. I know. It was literally amazing. Yes. Because imagine like the most niche drama that like only you care about that you're like, my God, I have no one to talk to about this. Like nobody cares about this thing being made into like an hour and 15 minute documentary. And you're like, my God, that random kid, literal, like 12-year-old kid from Twitter is in this documentary. Like random kid that like I know who he is, but like He's not a famous person. It's like, it was insane. And if you care about stuff like that at all, you have to watch it. Mouselet 3: Didn't well, most people don't have access to it. Didn't Elsa too wan didn't also watch it yet? M1: I made her watch it. She watched it on the plane to Hawaii. Mouselet 3: What do you think? M1: She loved it. We will have to be talking about it when she's back, but I was like too excited to like not mention it. So I highly recommend. Apparently Mouselet 3: Wow. Is it do you know if it's ever gonna be available for public release? Like out out of theaters once it's not making its round through the film festival circuit? M1: Someone told me that it's available on Letterboxd, which I I assume perhaps where they got this MP4 from. Mouselet 3: Is Letterboxd the isn't Letterboxd the movie like review website? The Yelp M1: Yes, I didn't really go investigate that because I felt like it was Mouselet 3: the Yelp for movies? M1: Yeah, well that that's where they said it was available. So look check it out because if you can find it, I highly recommend. And so many of the people that we talked about in that lifetime ban episode are in it. Matt Sans was like interviewed the whole time. Patrick Spikes, Hoot Gibson, if you remember Mouse Latwoo talking about the Hoot Hive, anyways. Mouselet 3: And and to the listeners who are saying, interested in the wild goose chase, go to letterboxed and try to find this random link. M1: You know what, guys, best of luck. The next thing. We are recording this as Mel Slip3 said on Monday. Tomorrow, I believe. Bob Chaypeck's book is coming out. So by the time this episode airs, it will be out. If you don't know, Bob Chaypeck worked at Disney for a very, very long time. He ultimately was like chief operating officer or something like that until he became CEO like in 2020 or right before 2020. only lasted not very long. He was hugely unpopular and he kind of got kicked out and Bob Iger took back over as CEO. It's always been speculated that like obviously there was drama there, but nobody really knew what. Bob ChayPeg wrote a whole book about it. And it sounds like it's going to be very juicy. And he's sort of like not speaking perhaps favorably about Bob Iger and what happened. I am at by this point, like it'll be By the time you're listening, there's probably already news about what it says because it'll be a have been out for two days. But I am extremely curious. I think Disney like tried to get the book not published, but ultimately there was nothing that they could do. Mouselet 3: You gonna read M1: I would like to. Do I have time to read these days? No, but I in my head, yes, I'm going to. My next piece Mouselet 3: Interesting. M1: of Disney media thoughts. Toy Story out Toy Story Five is now out on Disney Plus. I had said that I was going to rewatch all the Toy Stories before I watched that. I watched Toy Story One, was reminded of how much I disliked the Toy Story franchise, and I don't know if I should continue on my quest or just bail and watch Toy Story Five. Thoughts? Mouselet 3: You should continue on your quest, a hundred percent. First of all, Toy Story Three is I haven't seen four. I've seen snippets of four. I can picture a carnival and them jumping around on top of a bus, a moving bus. M1: Okay, so I think you've seen four I think you've seen four. Mouselet 3: No, I haven't seen the full thing. It was it was almost like I was I I I turned on the TV and it was on. I definitely I know zero percent of the premise besides the fact that it has to do with that little girl, Bonnie, one could say. Toy Story Three is the best. And so just get to Toy Story Three, and then you can, you know, so do Toy Story Two, which maybe has the really creepy Sid, or maybe that's Toy Story One. So what's two about? M1: No, that's Toy Story One. Toy Story Two is like Owl's Toy Barn and where Woody ends up with like some collector guy and meets Jesse and Bullseye and them. No? Mouselet 3: Okay, I don't know, but just get through three and then just barrel through four and then you can see five. I think that it's five is five do we know that Toy Story Five is like the last one? Do you know if it ended kind of in a way of okay. M1: I I actually don't know, but I hated the ending of four, so I'm glad they're at least like undoing that horrific stupid ending. Sorry to everyone. Okay. Mouselet 3: Okay, I don't know how it ended, so please don't please don't remind me. or please don't tell me 'cause I don't know if I saw it. you should watch all of them because if Toy Story Five is like emotional in any way in terms of it being sort of the the final one in the series, I think it'll pack a bigger punch if you've seen all of them recently. M1: Ugh, okay. Maybe I maybe I will. Mouselet 3: Make the micklet watch them. M1: He d he doesn't watch T V yet, no screen time, he's too little. Mouselet 3: Y but like you're never if you wanna watch a movie, is he with you or you're like, you know, he can't look at a screen, he has to look like be in a different room. M1: I mean like he has screens on around him, but I would never sit him down and be like, We're watching a movie and have him be like at the screen. Mouselet 3: really? M1: No. Mouselet 3: What age at what age would you would can you begin doing that? M1: I don't really know. I sort of know things about the Miklet's current age and maybe one month ahead, and then I don't really know anymore. okay, my next thing, I watched Luca. I've seen it before, and I've definitely like started Luca a bunch of times, but like I guess never finished it in those like rewatches. I was like kind of in a sad mood when I watched it. I don't even remember why. It was just like feeling melancholy. And I was like, Luca will make me happy. my god. Have you have you seen Luca? Mouselet 3: No, no I haven't. Don't tell me anything about it. M1: my god, the end was okay, I'll just say this. The end was like s so emo. I literally was like crying. I said to Mouse Three, I was or Mouse C, I was like, I sort of wanted this to pick me up and it really kind of brought me down. Mouselet 3: Is it really that M1: It's like Mouselet 3: sad? M1: no, it's like cute, but like it was much sadder than I thought it was going to be. I I didn't I don't know. I was sort of thrown off by that. Mouselet 3: I can't believe you've never seen the end of it. Yet you've seen it multiple times. M1: No, I have. No, I've seen it once. I've seen the ending once, definitely, like when it first came out. And I've watched it since, but I guess I've always fallen asleep or something before it ended. And I've always been like, I've seen this. I don't who cares if I don't finish it. Mouselet 3: It is the sad clearly the sad thing is not really that plot driven 'cause I feel like if someone came up to you a month ago and said, How does Luca end you would be able to tell them, no? M1: Yeah, it's just sort of like the vibe, I guess. Like I know how it ends, but like the vibe was very different than I remembered. It was very sort of sad, made me emo, I would say. Mouselet 3: Okay, I'm sad about that. I kind of I've only ever seen there's like a whole batch of new movies. By new I mean the last like ten years. All pics are that all are in the same category to me. Here's what they are Sol, Luca, Encanto, Big Hero S Okay, Big Hero Six. M1: That's not a Pixar movie. And neither's neither's Bakerous X. And that came out like fifteen years ago. Mouselet 3: Okay. Animated Pix animated Pixar style movies. Maybe maybe Picky Rosics is too old. Inside Out Two. no, not Inside Out Two. You know what I'm thinking of? What is it called? Gremlins, Minions, Emotions? You love it. Ever effervescence, what's it called? You it's like your favorite Disney movie. M1: What elemental Mouselet 3: Elemental. Yes, elemental, which is literally like inside out three. It's like a spoof on Inside Out. Yes, it it But it it M1: No, it's not. You haven't even seen it. No, it's not. Mouselet 3: it gives that. It gives that. Anyway, all of those movies are in the same category of like new wait, and Kanto isn't Pixar? M1: No. Mouselet 3: Back when things weren't Pixar, it was like, that's because it's DreamWorks and it's Shrek. Like, why would it not be M1: Okay. Mouselet 3: Pixar? That doesn't make any sense. M1: It's a different studio that made it. Mouselet 3: Still Disney? M1: I mean Disney bought Pixar, but they're still like different different brands. Mouselet 3: Give me an no, this is super interesting. G give me another example M1: Ha ha ha. Mouselet 3: of of a rec or a well known movie that is I bet Elemental isn't Pixar and I bet Inside Out is. Am I right? M1: Okay, elemental is Pixar, but like another movie that isn't Pixar, you said? Mouselet 3: And don't tell me a real person movie. Obviously I know that the stock picks are. M1: like all the frozen movies? Mouselet 3: What the heck? That's not Pixar? So is Pixar like a M1: No. Mouselet 3: a magical land like a well, Frozen's a magical land, but like is Pixar more like Encanto and Frozen are both about people ver M1: It's just different studios. No, there's it's it's not like that. It's just different studios. Mouselet 3: But why? Why wouldn't it all be under the same thing if it's all under Disney? What's the what's the difference? M1: I mean different creative teams. Different creative teams, different vibes, different I don't you know what? I'm not really sure. Mouselet 3: Let's say someone let's say let's say someone was super well versed in in everything. Okay. like everything Disney, everything, Pixar, everything. Sorry, is there a name for this non Pixar studio or do you just call it non Pixar? M1: Walt Disney Animation Studios. Mouselet 3: Okay. If I showed you a movie or if I showed a an expert a movie and I said, Was that movie Pixar Walt Disney Animation Studios? Would they be able to tell based on like the the vi the design of the movie, do you think? M1: I will say Disney frequently, not always, but often does like musicals and Pixar typically is not gonna be a musical style. I mean, yeah, I would think an expert could probably tell based on like the storytelling of it. Like different, again, different creative visions. Mouselet 3: Storytelling. No, I more mean like the shapes that they use. Like I feel like like Pixar has like a certain look to it. Like when's the last time when's last time like M1: I mean, maybe, but l I think less so. Mouselet 3: Universal or Dreamworks came out with a movie that someone might have thought was Pixar? It's like, no, everybody knows what Pixar is, except me apparently, because apparently Enkanto's not Pixar. But how'd we get on this? Okay, this whole batch of right. So going back, I wanted to watch Soul. So I haven't seen any of those movies besides Soul I watched once at home with the family. And it surprised me. I I usually have a pretty cl a fairly closed mind to these types of movies. I'm like, how could they possibly come out with another good story? Every story's already been told. Like every story's already been like The Lion King is actually Shakespeare. M1: my god, okay, Grinch. Mouselet 3: No, not Grinch. I just mean I'm like, I I'm content with the movies I have. I don't need to see a live 3D retelling of it, nor do I need to just see a new story. But I'm always surprised when a new story like is actually good. Like is Frozen actually a good story or did it just have good music? M1: You know what's an actual good story? Elemental. Elemental. Mouselet 3: I know. Soul. Okay. Well, s Soul is amazing. I just remember it being amazing and I remember it being emotional, something about time. And so then recently I was kind of like, maybe I should start watching like movies like while I work or kind of like while I'm holding laundry, like Disney movies. Like it'd sort of be fun. Because Nazar Jay and I rarely watch movies. And if we ever watch a movie, it wouldn't really be a Disney movie. It'd be something like new and probably a real person. And so I was like, maybe I should watch Soul. And then I thought, I'm too emo to watch soul right now. It's gonna make me too nervous and stressed about time and it's gonna be too emotional. So I could watch it and I guess that takes Luca off my list as well. M1: it honestly it might. okay, my next two points, which you're not gonna care about because they're Marvel points. So I'll just fling through them, but they're they're Marvel points, guys. I'll fling through them. I'm so excited for Vision Quest, which is the new show that's kind of following WandaVision. I what are you doing? my god, he's going to fix the lamp again. You're actually driving me nuts. You're driving me crazy. Anyways. I'm so, so, so excited for Vision Quests, and I have really, really high hopes and I'm worried that they're not going to be met. But I hope it's amazing. As for Doomsday, I'm not sure how I feel about Doomsday and everything coming up for Doomsday, but I do know that I am not going to be able to see Avengers Endgame Encore or whatever unless it comes to Disney Plus. So I just fully spoiled it for myself. I just have seen all of the all of the new things that were added, like online, which I think was like. Mouselet 3: Why can't you see it unless it comes to Disney Plus? You can't go to the movies because of the Miklit. M1: Yeah. And like I'm not of all movies that I'm gonna like make an effort to go see, it's not gonna be that one. and so Mouselet 3: Why isn't it gonna be that one? For someone outside of the Marvel universe, why isn't it gonna be that one? Isn't that like the next movie in the Marvel universe or something? M1: No, they re-released a movie from like seven years ago and added six minutes of scenes to the like two and a half hour movie. So I just kind of found the six minutes of scenes and I'm all set now. Mouselet 3: Did it change the plot? M1: No, it's just setting up for the next movie. You know what? We can't get into it with someone who doesn't know Marvel. but the last thing about this is they Disney said that Florence Pugh's character, I don't remember her name, will be anchoring kind of the whole movie, which I did not expect. Not sure how I feel about that personally. And I have not seen Black Widow because I never wanted to see Black Widow because I don't like Black Widow that much. Maslow Three is pretending to fall asleep. Anyways, can't decide if I should walk back, watch Black Widow. Please sound off in the comments. I had one worth Mouselet 3: I think you should if it's part of the universe. No, I'll answer in the comments. And I think you should if it's part of the universe. And I think that the barrier to entry to Marvel is too high. I think that some that Disney will M1: I definitely agree. Mouselet 3: will can milk it a little bit better to people who are not in it by somehow coming out with maybe like some prequel that's called like Marvel the prequel. And it just like it it gives you just a little taste of anything that to do with Marvel, and it doesn't fully explain it, but it it it's the intro. It's the the trial offer, the the low M1: Yes. Mouselet 3: risk trial offer because as someone outside of Marvel, including M2, I believe, it just feels it like Star Wars, at least I have a concept of like, you know, future and and just Marvel, I'm like, I've absolutely no idea what's going on. And there's five trillion different people in it, and it means nothing to me because of that. M1: Disney like knows they have that problem and I think kinda wanna deal with it, but thus far I I don't think they have any good ideas for it, but I I I agree. I had one more note in here, but honestly, we've been talking for like 20 minutes, so we need to get into a little bit of news. Mouse the three, you can go ahead. Mouselet 3: The first piece of news. Yeah, I'll start. First piece of news for those of you who are in our our Patreon sitting on the ground talking. my lamp was broken and now it's fixed. So that's the first piece of news, and it better be fixed. And if not, I'll be there we go. That's at least a little bit better. Now it's blue. The second piece of news is previews for Hurley Burley have begun. it actually opens on the day that this episode It was released and I'm now gonna flip it over to M1, who actually knows what Hurley Burley is and apparently is obsessed with it. M1: Hurly Brill, we've talked about a bunch. It's the lounge replacing jelly rolls. They did previews with some like media and creators and stuff. It Mouselet 3: yes. M1: looks amazing. Small bites, fun family activities before nine, live entertainment after nine. The entertainment looks amazing. The food looks amazing. The drinks look really good. I am so excited to experience this when we go with you, Mousel 3, in November. It's gonna be very fun. Mouselet 3: Yeah, I'm excited. M1: next piece of news: LilyPad, we talked about. The character from Toy Story 5 is officially now at Hollywood Studios, and she has new songs for Aliens Rolling Saucers, including Taylor Swift's song from Toy Story 5, I Knew It, I Knew You. So I'm curious to see if that actually impacts I don't know, if I feel really any particular way about it when I see it. Mouselet 3: Is it is Lillipad an animatronic on the ride? Like like meant to be viewed while you're on the ride or from the exterior of the ride? M1: From the exterior. It's like out in the garden, sort of facing the crowd. And she's DJing the Mouselet 3: Are there M1: ride. Mouselet 3: what's another example of an animatronic that's just like available to walk up to outside of an attraction? M1: It's not an animatronic, it's just a big screen. 'Cause digital, 'cause it's a like an iPad, you know? Mouselet 3: Okay. M1: Okay, next, Basco the tiger. This was the cub that was born at Animal Kingdom, one of the cubs, is leaving Animal Kingdom. This is part of the sort of standard like zoo practice. They they move animals around in order to make sure, I don't know, that like breeding is happening the way that it should and whatever. There's like a lot of regulations with where animals are being. So sadly Basco will not be there anymore. Mouselet 3: And it's going where? M1: A different zoo. I don't know. A different zoo. Yeah. No. No. Mouselet 3: not the wild. Okay. M1: the new Olaf draws experience at like the new animation building has been in B mode for like at least a few days at this point, which is very interesting. So off to the left side, there's the Olaf animatronic. He's who's teaching you how to draw. That's kind of the whole theme of the thing. But right now he's covered up with a big like drape and they have a screen in the center. And a woman comes on and she's like, I'm not sure where Olaf is right now. He must be off, I don't know, doing some like frozen e-pun. And then she leads the class from the screen. So I guess they had planned for a B mode, but I am wondering how long it's going to be in B mode. Because it just opened. Mouselet 3: I mean it's not even B mode, it's just he's not working and so they have just a a human being coming on doing it. M1: No, it's a screen. No, it's a it's a pre-recorded screen of the woman being like, did you Mouselet 3: but usually Olaf is an animatronic. M1: Yes. Mouselet 3: Okay. Thank you. M1: would you like to try and say this next piece of news? Mouselet 3: Sure, thanks to the crumb. JetBlue is M1: Mm. Mouselet 3: now one of the airlines offering the airport luggage service available at Select Hotels, which I think you guys talked about with Carly Weis L a couple weeks ago. she was very excited about it. M1: Probably. Yes. Yes. It's this is where they're basically bringing back yeah, they're bringing back something similar to what they used to have with like Magical Express, where your luggage, you don't have to get your luggage when you get off the plane. They'll just handle it for you. It's been kind of very quietly slowly rolling out. It's at certain I think it's at all the value resorts in like one moderate now, but don't quote me on that. I know Southwest is one of the airlines, American is one of the airlines, and now Jet Blue. That's fun. we don't normally talk about merch news, but I thought this was interesting, which is that for the create your own headbands at Walt Disney World, Black Panther, Iron Man, and Spider Man are now available on them. You don't typically get a ton of Marvel representation on the East Coast, so that's fun. I'm excited to see them. Mouselet 3: Whereas the create your own headband. M1: They're like in typically in like the big store at each res at each park. So the Emporium creations, et cetera. Joffreys is doing something Mouselet 3: Got this one? M1: fun. Go ahead. Mouselet 3: Joffreys did something fun on National Coffee Day, which was two days ago. If you're listening on the day this came out, it was Tuesday this week. Joffreys was offering one dollar coffee all across Walt Disney World. So I hope you took advantage of it. And if not, mark your time mark your calendars for three hundred and sixty-three days from today. M1: Yeah, unfortunately you didn't miss it. if you're listening on the day this released, but yeah, sort of keep in mind for next year. I thought that was a fun thing that Joffreys did. Mouselet 3: is fun. M1: And the last one is the Disney Believe, which is the new cruise ship. We know sort of a little bit about it because of like the stern characters and and what's the character in the hall, but we don't actually know what any of the lounges will be themed to or the entertainment or anything. There's a live stream at 4 30 p.m. Eastern on October 7th, where supposedly all those details or at least some of those details are going to come out. So I'm very excited to finally get more about the Believe. I have very high hopes for the ship. I'm hoping it's going to be more similar to the treasure. so a lot of kind of small random news today, but some good news in there. But now let's get into our main topic. Today we are going to be talking about how things have changed for us at Disney. So we're going to be talking about to start, we'll start with the negative, things that we used to like at Disney, but we don't really like so much anymore. Don't necessarily hate, but are no longer at the top of the list. And then in the second half, we'll be doing the opposite. So things we used to really not like, but now we do. I'm gonna start with one that to me is the most quintessential definition. Of something that I really used to like at Disney that I do not like anymore. And it is the Voyage of the Little Mermaid show. And honestly, it it hurts my heart to say that because it reminds me of Papa Mouse Lit. Papa Mouselit to me, I don't know if he actually did, but in my mind, Papa Mouselit like loved that show. Our family went without fail. I always wished that I could like be Ariel singing on stage. Like I loved it over time, it just wasn't that long of a show. I think I'd seen it way too many times. Then they redid it. I don't Love the redo of it and it's a skip for me now, which makes me sad. Mouselet 3: Sick that you don't love the redo. I feel like the redo happened right around the time I was gonna bring this up in the news section segment. I might just be paying more attention or something, but I feel like Disney's really leaning into their social media, like while Disney Imagineering on Instagram is showing a lot more sort of behind the curtain than they ever used to. would you agree? M1: I agree. Mouselet 3: And like it's sort of surprising. It's a little bit of a different take on, you know, 15 years ago, I feel like you couldn't find anything out about how Disney is made and how, you know, what what rehearsals look like for a show. But anyway, on YouTube, I think there's a whole deep dive on deep dive, so to speak, on the new show and what went into it for the Voyager Little Mermaid. And so I was really excited for it. And coming from somebody who used to be in M1: Did you have you seen it? Mouselet 3: no, I haven't seen it. So was really excited like I I guess I haven't been since they opened since it opened. but I would like to go when we are there in November because but I agree, just speaking from what I if they hadn't changed it, it definitely got is getting a little bit stale. So maybe I'll like it just 'cause it's a little different. I don't know. M1: The I like know what you're talking about terms of the video where they they showed stuff. I think that they maybe made it, they made it seem like maybe they were making more changes than they did. It's not fundamentally like that different, to the point that I think it really could have used being more different than it is. Mouslet too will sort of die on this hill, but they added graphics, like so you know, there's the scrim, and then there's like graphics on the scrim, particularly of Ariel's like sisters. And literally those mermaids, yep. Kind of. Do you remember when we used to watch like the Barbie Rapunzel movies? Mouselet 3: Totally. M1: It's like giving the animation of Barbie Rapunzel, but like probably worse. It's like the animation style is so odd and sort of poorly done. I don't know if it was on purpose. It's weird. so like that's kind of the vibe. Mouselet 3: Mm. Well true theater expert will give will give his opinion on it in a couple of months. M1: No, I I genuinely can't wait. Okay, what's your first one? Mm-hmm. Mouselet 3: Okay, my turn now for something that I used to like now don't like. You know what? I'm gonna go off of yours. Finding the name of the musical. It's not that I don't like it, but it used to be so much better. M1: It did. Mouselet 3: If you don't know what finding name of the musical used to be, I think I've said this on this podcast. Go to YouTube and watch the whole thing. There used to be three Where's My Dad's. It was Where's My Dad? Not my dad. That's my dad, of course. It was just so much better of a show. I don't even remember. I know the original show front to back, especially because I bought the CD and used to listen to it as a kid and like as a teenager. And still to this day, I listen to it. it just used to be a much better show and they've parsed it down. I think it's probably like twenty minutes shorter. M1: The new show doesn't even have the giant pelican in it, does it? Mouselet 3: I think it has like its beak and it comes in only at the end or something. It's like it used to be in two scenes and it was the whole thing, and now it maybe it doesn't even have any, or maybe it's a graphic or like a a projection or something. M1: Yeah, I don't think it's like in it anymore. Mouselet 3: They also skip an entire, you know, with Beauty and the Beast in in Hollywood Studios, they really jump through the plot. Like there's like complete jumps. Yes, M1: Yeah. S same with Voyage of the Little Mermaid, actually, yeah. Mouselet 3: yes. They like did that to find a new mo. I forget what they cut entirely, because they have. They have fish are friends, not food, right? Yes, they do, because the boat is com the boat used to be an entire like playground set, and now it's just this rinky dink little flat. they completely removed one entire plot point. and it's just it's a shame. It's a huge shame. The cast is smaller, there's less cast members, M1: Yeah, the cat Mouselet 3: and it you you you feel it. Like it just feels very thin, very sparse. M1: Yeah, this was like a post-COVID post-COVID change. It went from finding him with a musical to finding him with a musical like in the big blue world or something like that. And it was, they were like, my gosh, it's like a fresh take on the show with like updated graphics. And it's like, yeah, updated graphics, but you guys cut a ton. Like it's so pared down. If you've never seen it before and you watch it, you're like, that's good. But if you know the old one and you see it, you're like, this is just not as good. It's just sliced down. It's a bummer. Mouselet 3: It's really disappointing. Yeah. Yeah. M1: Okay, my next one. Is the Swiss Family Treehouse. We all know that I'm kind of a hater of the Swiss Family Treehouse. I I Mouselet 3: You used to be a lover. M1: when we were kids, we loved, I loved at least the Swiss Family Robinson movie. Like that was, I feel like one of our family's favorite movies. We watched it like all the time, randomly. Yes. Mouselet 3: Randomly. Yeah. M1: We loved that movie. And therefore I like really liked the treehouse because I loved the movie. As I've gotten older, I don't watch that movie so much anymore. I don't love climbing one million steps. So I'm kind of a hater because of that. But recently I rewatched the movie. It honestly didn't really hold up for me that much. I'm not sure why we were like so obsessed with it. Mouselet 3: gonna say I couldn't tell you what that movie is about, really. M1: But I'm not sure why we loved it so much. It wasn't really my favorite. It was fine. But the treehouse, the Swiss Family Treehouse, looks nothing almost like the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse from the movie. Like there's a little well thing, like the water well thing that they have with the cups, that is in both. Mouselet 3: I I that is iconic to me. That I could never M1: Yeah. Mouselet 3: forget that. M1: That's in both and there's like a sink. But other than that, the one in Magic Kingdom is just like a treehouse. But it's nothing like the one from the movie. So I'm kinda like, okay, this isn't holding up for me because it doesn't look anything like the one in the movie. Mouselet 3: It wasn't original to Magic Kingdom, right? M1: I mean it's really old, so I'm Mouselet 3: Isn't Carousel of Progress like one of the only things that was original or something? M1: No. No. No. Mouselet 3: What title does Carousel of Progress hold? That it was like supposed M1: Also Mouselet 3: to be, but it wasn't? I th well I well M1: it is it is an opening, it is an opening day attraction, Swiss Family Treehouse. Built as a replica of the home Mouselet 3: Do you think they're gonna get rid of it? M1: from the form Swiss Family from the film Swiss Family Robinson, but it's not a replica of that home. I mean, they changed it at Disneyland to something more like generic, which is like an adventurer's tree house, and it has tie-ins to societies of explorers and adventures. If you listen to that episode, which was fun. I think like As a thing in Adventureland, I really like having it. I think it helps like set the overall vibe of the land. However, do I need to go up it frequently? No. Mouselet 3: have one in Disneyland and they also have one in Disneyland Paris. M1: I know they're they're obsessed. Mouselet 3: That's such a niche movie, I feel like. M1: Well, in Disneyland it was changed to Tarzan Street House a long time ago and now it was re themed to this new thing. Yeah. Mouselet 3: I'll be sad if they get rid of it. I agree it really fits well in Adventureland. They should they'll probably find a way to repurpose it into something, but there's not really a movie that lends itself well toward to that right now. But I haven't done it in a really long time. I'd like to do it. I'll add it to my November trip list, along with your previous thing that you used to like and now don't like. It's giving me some inspo. M1: Okay, your what's what's your next one? Mouselet 3: to try to keep it in in Magic Kingdom. Let's see. Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger spin. And I will say I M1: my hang on one second. One minute. Mouselet 3: w no, no, it's not fair. I don't I don't have access. I don't have access to the boo button. I don't have access to it. I here's the thing. I haven't done the new one yet. So in November maybe I will. M1: It's amazing you're going to be obsessed with it. Mouselet 3: But I just it just I mean, as a kid, I think I liked it because it was like exciting and interactive and it the tech probably felt like high tech back then. But now, I mean, it's just a bore. And I won't I won't go on for too long because I know they changed it for that reason, but it's just M1: Prepare to change your tune. Prepare to change your tune. You're going to love it. Mouselet 3: to say also, you know, I know that Buzz Lightyear has some whole backstory, obviously, like, you know, that's alluded to throughout the whole Toy Story franchise, but I'm kind of like, who are these things and what is going on? Like it it's the is there a movie that goes into all of that plot? M1: Zerg. Yes. You know what? It's Toy Story 2, Mouselet 3: Yeah. Him. M1: which we were talking about at the top of the episode, and you seem to know nothing about. Maybe you should add that to your list. Mouselet 3: Maybe I need to rewatch Twist Story too. Hmm. Yeah, maybe. But yeah, no, that one boring. Boo. M1: Okay, my next one is the Magic Kingdom one. This one actually makes me like literally sick to my stomach and sad. It's the Emporium. When I was a kid, shopping in the Emporium, we always ended our trip at Magic Kingdom. We always we went for like a week. We first day was Magic Kingdom, last day was Magic Kingdom, always. We would get one souvenir from the trip, and I always saved it until the last day when I'd been able to like see everything. This was also the days when like the merch wasn't as varied. It wasn't like I wasn't gonna be able to find the thing. Like it was fine. And so I'd go to the Emporium and get to choose my one thing and it was like the most magical thing and I loved it. The Emporium now is like chaos 100% of the time. It is so unpleasant being in there. I only go in there when I must. And I like try to go in to be like, no, I love you, Emporium. But it just, my God, it is way, way, way, way, way too busy and too small. Mouselet 3: What what changed? Like did it used to be like that? And you just didn't notice it as a kid? Or do you think it's become more like M1: No, I think it's I think, yeah, as like merch has become more of a thing and there's like way more ver varied merch, like people just like, you know, people care way more about merch than they used to. Like back in the day, when I first got my pair of ears, there were two pairs of ears that existed. The little fuzzy mini ones that I got and little fuzzy sorcerer Mickey ones. That was it. There were no other ears. Like things have changed so much, and merch is just like a whole different world now. They've like tried to fix it by Like they redid the end of the Emporium near Casey's to like try and make everything like more spacious and stuff. But they also kind of like stripped some of the character out when they did that, which also was then sad because it's kind of like, okay, well, some of the charm of in here was gone, but at least you can navigate it better. I don't know. It makes me sad. Mouselet 3: Funny, as a kid, when we would get the one souvenir and stuff, I feel like the Emporium also worked because I'm sure there were some exceptions to this, but the Emporium pretty much I feel like sold everything that was sold M1: Yes, it had everything. Mouselet 3: elsewhere. Unless there was like maybe like you know, Expedition Everest had just opened and you couldn't get the Yeti, you know, plush. But anything that was at Magic Kingdom, you could get at the Emporium. Like it, you could get M1: Yes, and like that's like not the case anymore. Mouselet 3: in two places, you could get it. Wherever it was actually sold in the Emporium. And even other parks, I feel like you could get things at the Emporium and at the Emporium only. and I feel like that's not the case anymore. Now it's just everything, yeah. I agree. It's sort of oversaturated. M1: Yeah, it's sad. Mouselet 3: Okay. I'm I'm moving parks. And I M1: Okay. Mouselet 3: hope everybody agrees with me on this. The Pixar Short Film Festival. I I M1: That is not on my list. Mouselet 3: love the the Pixar Short Film Festival. It's such a cute idea. The idea of a festival or of a film festival, which is like a thing in real life, coming into the Disney parks and being accessible via short films. And, you know, it's like this rotating suite of films, except it's not a rotating suite of films. The amount of times that I've seen Piper, I still cry every time. I love it so much. However, I don't want to see Piper over and over again. And then there's the Mickey Minnie one, which is good. And I know you guys talked about it actually a couple episodes ago recently. I forget what the third one is. There's one with the dog, but I think they've done away with that one. Remember the dog? Yeah, feast. Is M1: Feast Yeah, feast. Mouselet 3: that still it? M1: I think it's feast. Mouselet 3: 'Cause there was Bao. Or maybe that was just a short film that played before a movie in theaters. M1: That's what Mouse 2 said too. Bao was never in there. Bao was never in there. Yes. Yes. Mouselet 3: Because it's always been Feast Piper and the Mickey and Mini one. Correct. Bao. No, but Bao was an iconic opener to it to like a really iconic movie. I don't remember what movie it was, but there was there must have been a Disney movie that M1: Yeah, I love Bao, but it was never in there. Mouselet 3: was okay. It's not a festival if it's the same three short films. And literally, I'm sure there are you know, actually I have a friend who works at Pixar. Do you know that I have a friend who works at Pixar? Do you know who I'm talking about? M1: No. Mouselet 3: Okay, she went to high school with me. There's no way to describe her because you'll you'll never know. but I'll tell you her name later. And she works at Pixar, literally. And I know that in order to get a job at Pixar, she like submitted a short film. I know that they they have that Pixar has five million short films available to them from applicants or people doing little side projects. And the fact that it's only those three out of the 20 years that that attraction has been open is upsetting to me. Because I don't want to go. I've seen all those and I can watch them on YouTube whenever I want. It should be things that you can't even watch on YouTube. Like it should be something different every year or every five years. And now I don't love it anymore. M1: I don't feel as strongly as you, Mouse Latu does. I still really like it, but I do understand the critique. I actually, just in the YouTube video that I posted today, as I'm recording on Monday, I was talking about a concept that Disney had for a space pavilion. And in it, they're like, every space image in here is going to be updated constantly. Every time NASA gets a new image, we're updating this gallery. And I'm like, that was ambitious because Disney actually doesn't update literally anything at It's like one of the things that they are genuinely worst at. And we always said, for example, in like Toy Story Mania, it would be so easy to change, so easy in quotes, to change out a game. But when you think about it, it's like, okay, you need to like, you know, build the graphics and like redo the mappings. Like, okay, I understand it's not actually that easy. But the Pixar Short Film Festival, it's like, well, it kind of really is not easy. Maybe not the Mickey one because that one has like special stuff. But Feast and Piper are just like videos that play. It's kind of like, I feel like you could have. Mouselet 3: Literally would be so easy. And it's M1: Like Mouselet 3: a short film. It's it's like it's not like they have to go and invest a whole bunch of money into a it's a it's a three minute film. I I understand they take a lot of work, but I I'm sure that there are artists out there who can throw something together. Do you think they ever will? I don't. At this point, it's been like fifteen years, and so it would be M1: I don't feel confident though yeah. Mouselet 3: weird for them to do it now because in like ten years they'll probably just replace it with something else, like Captain Eo Neo. M1: Yeah, I I don't feel confident about it, but maybe, you know. Mouselet 3: can help. M1: okay, I'm gonna I'll stay in Epcot. I'm gonna do a restaurant, Tuto Italia. This is the Italian restaurant in the Italy pavilion that we always ate at as kids. Our family's creatures of habit. Yep. Go ahead. Mouselet 3: Is this a couple episodes you were talking about? You went into some weird backroom that you didn't like that was carpeted. I don't rem You love the carpeted place of Vienna. Yes. But you went to some weird wine cellar. Where M1: Yes. No, we love the carp we love the carpeted back room at Vienna Napoli. We were Yes. Yeah. Mouselet 3: is this restaurant? First of all, I had I had I M1: Tuto Italia. Mouselet 3: had no idea that I had been as a child until this moment, five seconds ago when you said that. But I was thinking about it when I was listening to the podcast. Where is this? M1: When you walk into the Italy pavilion, there's a store on the left, and then it's the Tuto Italio restaurant on the left and Viennapolis in the Mouselet 3: There's two restaurants in Italy side by side? And they're both sit down? M1: Yeah, yes. Mouselet 3: They're both nice. What what's M1: Yeah. Mouselet 3: the difference? M1: Fiat Napoli is a pizza restaurant. Mouselet 3: And this is pasta. M1: Like a classic, like yeah, Italian like yeah, pasta. But so, anyways, we used to always eat here as a kid. I Mousel three doesn't remember that. But Mama Mouselit is Italian. Viannapoly did not exist yet. Viennapoli opened more re more recently. It's not that recent, but you know. And our family's creatures of habit. We eat at the same places, like always. Chef Mickey every year. This was one of them. We always ate at Tuto Italia. And then we just like stopped going there. I don't even really know why. and when we went back. I just didn't love. I do, as we said, I believe in a recent episode, I want to give it another chance. I think we had kind of maybe a weird experience last time, but it didn't hit the same way for me that it hit when we were kids. And that made me kind of sad. Mouselet 3: if you're watching on video, I hope that M1 is frozen in the in the pose that she's frozen in for me. And if not, then it's a it's a me thing and I'm just gonna keep keep trudging through. I don't remember this restaurant at all. Can't picture the entrance to it, can't picture here you are. I see you now. In and out. I yeah, I have nothing to say. Because I mean, I don't understand why don't like it. I guess maybe I was zoned I zoned out while you were frozen because I was like thrown off M1: Ha ha ha. Mouselet 3: by the fact that you were frozen. M1: I guess like I don't really it didn't like hit. It just was really kind of mediocre. I guess like Italian food is like not that hard to be good. And when you have kind of like mediocre Italian food, it's kind of like well, and we just didn't it wasn't awesome last time we went. And as a kid, I felt like it was like very, very good. So I just really didn't love it. But I'm hoping that it I'm gonna give it a second chance. It's gonna have a resurgence. Mouselet 3: Maybe you should give it a second chance and hopefully you won't won't go in that weird wine cellar room this time. M1: True. Okay, what's your next one? Mouselet 3: Yeah. Staying in Apcot and speaking of your camera being frozen, Maelstrom used to love frozen, now hate. That's all I have to say. M1: Well did you ever love Mouselet 3: Thoughts? M1: it as f did you ever love it as frozen? Mouselet 3: Not really, but I had to include it because they took something good and they made it bad. I just M1: I agree. I I am like w I think I'm one of Frozen's biggest haters, that ride's biggest haters. Mouselet 3: I just think also I I think that the world showcase is in a tough spot where if they bring something that's super popular with like a ton of IP, like frozen or ratatouille, it really changes the vibe of that country, where now Norway is like all about that one frozen ride. And I feel like it's a little better now, but when it first opened, it was just like you couldn't do anything else in Norway because the line literally took up the entirety of the country. Like it it it wrapped around all the way outside. And the countries I feel like are supposed to not supposed to be IPless, but there's something nice about being able to just experience walking around the world showcase and not feel like it's super touristy or super like gimmicky or commercial. And so that's one thing. Just the concept of, you know, a big flashy ride in. But Ratatouille kind of works because it's sort of first of all. Nobody cares about Raditou as much as they care about Frozen. and it's a better ride. And it's all the way around. It doesn't feel like it changed France. It they they were able to add it in a very like nice way where it's like all the way over there. versus it completely changed frozen completely changes the look and feel of Norway. But yeah, I mean also I think just the ride is really not that good. Like there's there's moments. M1: I agree. There's way too much blake space. Mouselet 3: Yeah, there's like rooms of of blank space and I feel like they don't even tell the story of Frozen that well. I think that a Disney dark ride that tells a story is far better than one that's just kind of like moments from the like Pirates of the Caribbean or Caribbean. That and the the what's it called? What's the Avatar ride? I I've gone out like twice 'cause it's so bad. What's it called? M1: Navi River Journey. Mouselet 3: Those are just like they're such snoozers because they're not telling a story versus like Winnie the Pooh, and I feel like if I remember Snow White correctly, like they really told a stor Peter Pan, like those are really have like a start to finish. And I don't think that Frozen does a good job of telling the story at all. M1: Yeah, okay. I will do my next w go ahead. Mouselet 3: Now sorry, do I remember anything about Maelstrom? No. But I just I I I mean I remember that it was good. I just I don't I mean I don't remember what the plot of that really was or anything, but I just think frozen is a bit of a letdown and now I don't really go back to that ride ever. M1: I'll sort of follow up to that one with one of mine was pirates, which actually as a kid, I don't really think I necessarily like loved pirates or anything, but I really wanted to because I was like, this is such a quintessential attraction. And also it's one of Mom Mouselit's favorites. So I was like, yeah, I always was trying to be like, yes, pirates. But realistically, as an adult, pirates is just one of the few like kind of classic Disney rides that is just really not my favorite. Mainly for what you said, like there isn't a story. So I'm just kinda like, okay, the whole pirate thing in general is like not really my vibe. I don't love the whole Disney pushing pirates. I've talked about this recently, I think. Pirates to me, I'm just like, okay. And the pirates ride, there's no story. It's like the whole thing with it is there's no story. Mouselet 3: I agree, there's no story. That being said, I actually do like Pirates. I think it's it's it's sort of very nostalgic to me and and it like feels like it hasn't really changed that much. And it doesn't feel like a big commitment. It's a nice little break. Not that I like fall asleep or I'm on my phone on it, but it's just it's a nice it's a nice little break and I feel like it's kind of a unique ride. Like there aren't a ton of rides like that one in the fact that it's like water but has a drop and kind of is Like it feels like a really big ride. Fro that's one thing about Frozen. It feels incredibly small. But Pirates, I don't even know where that show building is. Like it's so gigantic. Each room is so big. and it smells amazing. Pirates has an amazing scent. M1: One could say, All right, your next one. Mouselet 3: Let's see. I see we're back to back to Magic Kingdom. I'm moving away. M1: Feel free to leave it. Feel free to leave it. Mouselet 3: Indiana Jones Epic stunt. Spectacular. This is M1: I I didn't think of this, but this would be on my list as well. Mouselet 3: And it's it's for two reasons. One, and I I I could be wrong and this year you're gonna have to no, I am correct. They changed it. They parsed it down. It used to be better. Watch it on YouTube. M1: Well, I mean, they got rid of all of the the whole like guest interaction thing and that whole like fake thing with the guy pretending to be punched and stuff. Mouselet 3: I for I compl completely forgot about that. Actually, you're right though. M1: But yeah, there's no more like volunteers, which was fun. Mouselet 3: That was really fun. And the second the first scene I think is the same, obviously, because there's not much you can really change. The second scene is different and way shorter. It also has less plot. It feels like it just like really drives through M1: Way less fire, pyro. Yeah. Plot Yeah. Mouselet 3: the plot of the actual movie that they're filming, of like, you know, they're the robber and XYZ happens, but also the plot of yes, like, we're gonna go and stage this fight, and he's actually a he's not a yeah, that whole thing. And then I think the third scene is different too, because it feels shorter. It just the whole thing feels very lackluster. So that's one reason. and the second is just I've seen it a million times. And it just like after you've seen it so many times, it it really is just obviously everything's predictable. And there's some stuff that's based in talent that is not that I don't mind seeing a million times. Like I love the Beauty and the Beast show. I love Festival of the Lion King. I don't mind seeing those over and over because it's different actors, it's different performances. And although stunt work is performance work, it just is harder to feel like, wow, like she really sang that song very well, or I loved how that Gaston did that song. Versus this is just like, okay, I've literally seen this five trillion times. M1: I think also like the volunteers and the whole if you didn't know, there used to be like a bit where a guy would be one of the volunteers, but actually he was one of the people in the show. And over, you know, you kind of figure that out over time. That added an element of like looking at the crowd, being like, my gosh, do they know? Like, who knows that this guy is fake? Who knows that he's real? And like seeing the people kind of sometimes they would like be funny, you know, like accidentally funny and stuff. It just like added, like, breathed a little life. It changed it up now, you know, and Disney also is. Well, so I was gonna say now they don't have that. But then also Disney is so focused on safety that the stunt work, like they do a fake punch, and I mean quite literally they're like three feet from hitting the person. Like it's not super believable because it's not worth it for Disney to have someone get punched in the face for real. But so it's kinda like okay. Mouselet 3: Like also, I mean, part of what I'm about to say is because I'm just older now and I'm not a kid. But also I think it has to do more with like social media and stuff. Like the concept of them filming a movie, like we were watching them film a movie, was so much more believable like 10, 15 years ago. And again, like as a kid, I I was probably like, they're actually filming a movie, like this is really going. But You can sort of suspend your disbelief and be like, yeah, like this is how movies are filmed, and like this actually might be a director or this. But now it's just feels very like everybody knows that this isn't actually happening and you don't really care as much. Like movie making is just more accessible now, I think. And so it's not as cool to see the behind the live behind the scenes of sorts of like the whole bit of the w the the whole premise of that attraction is just kind of like it's not as effective anymore. M1: Agreed. Okay, I kind of have a part A and a part B for my next one. And I feel like this could be my last one if you want to do one more and then we'll move into more positive. Does that sound good? Okay. My part A and my part B are Star Tours and Rock and Roller Coaster. And that is because Star Tours is the only ride at Disney that I truly cannot do because it makes me so sick. Like I, you know, even though like I don't even care about Star Wars as a kid. We always did Star Tours. Like I liked Star Tours even like separately from the fact that it was Star Wars. It was fun. Now I literally cannot do it because it makes me sick. And then part B is Rock and Roller Coaster, which I can still do, but it is the only ride I would say that I get off of. And I'm like, I don't feel amazing. Like I think there's gonna hit a point at some point when I'm like, I can't do this one anymore. Like I still can for now. And it's it's good, but I'm like. I'm nearing that. And that's the only reason I don't like like it. But I don't love getting also I find it so rattly. Like my head banging around like that, I really, really, really don't like. And again, as I get older, just gets a little bit less manageable, I guess. Mouselet 3: Remember I don't know if you remember this. As a kid, that one time I I rode Rock and Roller Coaster and I really hurt my head. M1: I can like picture it if I don't actually remember it. Mouselet 3: I was like eight or nine-ish. And I think I just it probably was one of my first times right. It wasn't my first, but like one of the first times that I rode it. And I didn't know what I know now, and I always think I'm like, push your head back, just push your head back, like the whole time. And I didn't do that. And I think my head was forward. And so I it really hurt my neck, but it also like really, really rattled my head so much so that like the rest of the day was like ruined for me. Like it was definitely like crying after the ride as a kid, and like probably had to get ice from like a refreshment stand. And it it my entire day was ruined. So I know what you mean. I haven't done Star Wars in a while or Star Tours in a while. And the probably the reason is because I can never find it, 'cause it's not in Star Wars Land. M1: yeah. I and you know what? Another reason that I just don't love that ride doesn't make sense anymore. Just enough, enough, enough of that one. Okay, your last one of this sub section? Mouselet 3: I think we can move on. I don't really mine's not that good. It was just character meet and greets, which is just sort of because like it's not as magical anymore and it's not worth the line and yeah. M1: I have that too, especially meeting face characters. I'm just sort of like now I'm talking, you know, don't want to spoil the magic, but I'm talking to Mouselet 3: Yep. Right. M1: someone and a character, and I feel more uncomfortable than I did when I was a child. okay, we're gonna move into the positive side now. We're gonna move into things that we didn't really like when we were younger, but we do like now. And I'm gonna once again start with what I think is like the most quintessential one of this for me. Which is the people mover. Papa Mouselit had a big vendetta against the people mover. I don't even know why. I don't even think he'd ever been on it. But he'd just seen it and he was like, Snoozefest, like, my God, look at that boring ride. Who would ever go on that ride? And I was always like, Yes, my God, you. And so we literally never did it. And then when Mouselit too and I joined like Disney Instagram, I feel like my God, like people mover vibes was like such a thing. And we were like, what? And we started going on it. And I really like the people mover now. Mouselet 3: Does he remember does Papa Mouse remember not liking the people move or does he deny M1: He Mouselet 3: it? M1: if if he doesn't, he's crazy. Because that is literally He was its biggest hater. And it was my friend, my friend who also goes to Disney growing up. It was like her favorite ride. And I remember all of us always being like, that ride sucks. And we'd never even been on it. Mouselet 3: I feel like it's fifty-fifty whether or not he he remembers M1: You're Mouselet 3: or like supports he's probably like, no, no, I loved People Mover always. Like, yeah, no, I yeah, I I I it's such an our family ride to me. Like it's like something that M1: Cause now it's like such a him ride. Literally sitting there relaxing. Yeah. Mouselet 3: that I mean, Tomorrowland is very much a mouseeless thing. As you know, we spend way too much time in Tomorrowland, I think. But the people mover, I agree, I had that on my list as well. I'll stay in Tomorrowland. I think that the carousel of progress as a kid, I probably thought was so boring and was like very adult like and was just like, why would I do this? This is like so boring and I don't really care. Now I think that is such a cool, just like so I just think there's there's so many things that are good about the carousel of progress. First of I'm obviously excited for V2, because M1: Me too. Mouselet 3: of obvious reasons, but I think it's just I think it's gr a such a relic of like showcasing what progress looked like back then. But also I think it's such a cool concept. I think that it's cool to see how different like different people at that time were as they were using technology throughout each of the four time periods or decades. and I just think it's a kid I probably wasn't even listening to the words that they were saying or like the story that he was telling and stuff. So as a kid I'm sure I didn't like it. But now I really like it. I also like it because I think that the I'm very interested in like the theatrical side of it of like the scrim and like behind the the two scrims on the other side, it like rotates M1: Yeah, it's a cool show. Mouselet 3: and like the yeah, it just is like a cool a r I think it's a feat of technology and the fact that it was it's so old. I just think it's is really cool. And I'm glad that they're not, you know, getting rid of it, getting rid of it. And they're instead iterating off of it. M1: Can't wait for V2. I agree. I definitely didn't love it as a kid. I think it was another one that also I like looked down upon and I was like, ugh, boring. very, very relatedly for me is the country bears. This is one that I think again, I don't think Mama Mouse liked the country bears. And I think we always were kind of like, what is this sort of weird no? As I've grown up, you know, learn more about Disney and stuff. I have a real appreciation for the country bears. But I and like I liked the show before, but this new version of the show I like genuinely, really, really like. I think that they did such a good job. I think it was the perfect refresh. Old version was good. I totally respect it for what it was. Like it way more than I did as a kid. But the new version to me, like I genuinely want to go see it. Like really, really like it. Mouselet 3: The three that we've discussed are the three, the top three on my list. So hundred percent agree. I just think it's it's I I think as a kid I didn't know what it was. Are the country bears from a movie? Or like what's the story? M1: They made they made a country bear movie when I was a kid, but the move it's like that it's like the Haunted Mansion Yeah, Mouselet 3: Or after the attraction. Yeah, yeah. M1: it's like the Haunted Mansion movie that was made based on the ride. The ride ju or the attraction just existed as like its own thing. Mouselet 3: Yeah. Say that it was by the shooting range. And so just as a kid, I remember just being like, yeah, no, yeah, no. Like I just like don't know what M1: Ha ha ha. Mouselet 3: all that is. Like, and I just like kind of we just kind of barreled right on through. Like it, M1: Yeah. Mouselet 3: I just remember like really not being like confused by that section of Frontierland, just like not really caring at all. yeah, I agree. Those are my top three. Let me see if I have anything else in no moving away from Magic Kingdom. The Epcot country films. I don't have a specific country in mind. And I'm sure there are some that I don't love. I like haven't seen some in a in a really long time. But I've seen Canada recently. I've seen China recently. And I know there are a couple of well, okay. M1: Th those the only two. Those the only two. Yep. Mouselet 3: No, what's the film in France? M1: Impressions de France, okay, yes. Mouselet 3: Okay, and then America it's a sh it's a phys it's not a film, but it's a show. And M1: It's a state yeah, yeah. Mouselet 3: is there's nothing else though, right? Okay. Well, I definitely was thinking about the France one I haven't seen in a while. a very long time. But the is this are the both of them Circle Vision? The M1: Yes. Mouselet 3: one in China and Canada. Yeah, I definitely used to not like those and not care about those at all as a kid. And now I literally love them. Specifically the China M1: You do love them. Mouselet 3: one I love and I'm inspired by after I see it every time. But even the Canada one, I used to not care at all about the Canada Pavilion. And now that is one of the one reasons that I do care about Canada. the pavilion a I've cut. And so I just think that it's again, it's just like as I as I as a kid it was just like blue boo, this is boring, like blah, blah, blah. But now I just have an appreciation for them. M1: I'll expand that one further, which is that as a kid, I like didn't really like Epcot that much. I was it was my least favorite park, definitely. And there were things I liked. Like I loved decorating the masks and they had that. I liked like interventions and I'm sure there were a couple things, but for the most part, or not for the most part, but of all the parks, it was the park that I was the most like Like, I don't know. Like I just like didn't really get it. And it is now my favorite park. Like it is going through such a transformation for me. And I feel like I understand it one billion times better, obviously, than I did as a kid. I also feel like Epicotta has changed a lot to try and have things to make kids like it and like understand and be more engaged than it did when I was a kid. But yeah, as a kid, I was just kind of like, mm, meh, not my fave. And now it is. Mouselet 3: I mean I didn't hate up cut but but I I do agree that it's it's M1: Okay, next I didn't I didn't hate it, but Mouselet 3: Well, staying on Epcot, I r I have the festivals. I think that I just wasn't aware of the festivals because we've said this before. As kids we always went down actually you can correct me if I'm wrong here, but in my mind we always went down either in February or April. April 'cause that's when our school breaks were. M1: Yes, and it was yeah, and it was like always flower and garden from my memory. Like at least whenever we were there in more recent it was always flower and garden. So I didn't actually, like you said, I didn't realize that flower and garden was a festival. I thought Abcutras always looks like that. Mouselet 3: Me too. Actually, when I found out probably in the last like eight years that Epcot didn't have those kinds of flowers all the time, I was like, well, what does it look like? Is it just grass? Yeah. M1: It's ver yeah, well it's disappointing. It's disappointing. Like Mouselet 3: Yeah. But I think that the the festivals are something that make me it's not that I didn't like them. I just wasn't really aware of them. And I think that the idea is really, really cool. That being said, I actually don't know if I've ever experienced any festivals besides Flower and Garden. M1: Well you t no, if we Mouselet 3: Which seems crazy. M1: when we went to Jollywood you definitely experienced food and wine. It would have been food and wine time. Yeah. Mouselet 3: Really? It would have is is there is there always a festival? Does it go one rate into the other? Or is are there sometimes like zero no festivals at all? M1: No. No. But I know that when you were there it was food and wine time. Mouselet 3: Okay. Well, I definitely want to lean into the festivals a little more. Like looking ahead, I kind of want M1: The festivals are amazing. Mouselet 3: to yeah, I kind of want to be a part of like any festival besides Flower Garden because I just feel like I've been through the butterfly like topiary like five trillion times. but I think that could like I'm excited by I have FOMO whenever you guys are at. what what's the one? M1: Festival of the Arts. Mouselet 3: Yeah, it's Festival of the Arts. I want to go to Festival of the Arts so badly. but I just think it's so cool. And so it's something that I I'm saying that I now like because it's on my radar. and I think it's a cool idea. M1: I agree. Okay, my next one has a little bit of Which we've talked about. But when we were kids, we went on Mission Space with Papa Mouse Lit. I have never seen Papa Mouse Lit be so like ill in public. He didn't like throw up or anything, but my God. He felt so sick. He had to like buy a ginger ale or a soda or something, try and make himself feel better. He would not stop talking the entire time about how unbelievably bad he felt. It like ruined his whole day, potentially his week. I it I I literally like, I don't even remember the ride. I just remember Papa Mouse Lit being like, I will never go on that again. That was the worst thing I ever did. Literally, probably didn't go on mission space for like 15, 20 years because of that. Went on it again. my God, it's really not that bad. And they have the green side now, which has absolutely no centrifugal force or whatever. Is very fun. I really like the green side. It's not like a must-do for me every time, but it was like an absolute no for me for many, many, many, many years because of that whole thing with Papa Mouselit. And now that I've gone on it again. It's good, I like it. Mouselet 3: Done Mission Space once. And it was in the last. M1: With Papa Mouselit? Mouselet 3: No, I didn't go on that. I was too too young or too little then. And so because of that, it was this horror story of like you don't worry, Mouse Luther, you never want to experience that. M1: Ha ha ha. Mouselet 3: So it's not that I did it once and never again. I never did it until and then I'm sure it was just you and M2 who like revisited it. So I think the last time I the only time I did it was maybe two, three years ago. Like that was the first time I did it and we did the green side. Maybe M1: It's fun. Yeah. Mouselet 3: maybe I should do the orange side. Maybe I should try the orange side. M1: my gosh. Mouselet 3: my god. Except you you've you guys have said that the green side is a better mission. Yeah. Yeah. M1: I just like the mission more, yeah. But okay, what's your next one? Mouselet 3: Okay, Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway. I feel like only recently did I start to actually love that ride. I'm not sure where I was in the last couple of scenes, but the last time that I went on that ride, or the one of the last couple of times that I went on the ride, I was like, wait, this is an amazing ride. And I feel like whenever you guys want M1: Yeah, it is. Mouselet 3: to go on it, I'm just kind like, ugh, okay, here we go. Like, I knew it for what it was, I thought, and then I It just completely changed for me. Like it hasn't changed since it opened, right? It's been the same thing, right? M1: Correct. Mouselet 3: Again, Walt Disney Imagineering, either Instagram or YouTube, like they did this whole deep dive and I was like, wait, yeah, okay, that is so cool. That is really cool. And I just remember seeing I think I must have just like blacked out in the in the last half of of the ride, the first M1: Huh. Mouselet 3: couple of times I went on, because I think it is so so cool, so good, so fun, so unique. And it M1: Yes, I Mouselet 3: really just used to not be that interesting to me at all. I only remembered like the pre-show and just like the general concept of it. And now I think it's really cool. And I'm obsessed with the way that like everything in the room changes from one thing to the other. Like I I yeah, M1: Changes. Yes, I'm shocked that you didn't used to like that. Mouselet 3: yeah, I can't I literally again, I like I don't even remember it being that cool. but now it's definitely top of my list. I know. Yeah, me too. M1: That's an insane take, but I'm glad that you love it now. okay, should we do one one more each? Mouselet 3: Yeah, I have one more. M1: Okay, mine is once again a part A and part B, which is for me the Haunted Mansion and the Tower of Terror, because I was too scared to go on both of those as kids. Mouselet 3: Really? M1: yes, I left the chicken door to the Haunted Mansion Mouse 2 loves to remind me when I was probably Mouselet 3: yes. M1: like 13. I was like, nope, I'll be exiting this ride. I was way too scared. And Tower of Terror, I wasn't even so scared of like the concept of the theme of Tower of Terror. I was scared of the drop. This I didn't go on Rock and Roller Coaster until I was older either, but That one fell into a different category for me. Yeah. We just like didn't Mouselet 3: None of us did. Yeah, like we Yeah, we just didn't go on that ride. It was like, yeah, that no, that one goes upside down. We don't go on that ride. Like, yeah, it was just M1: Yeah, we don't do that. But like I think we yeah, that one I like didn't think so much about. I was just like, upside down. But Haunted Mansion and Tower of Terror, I specifically remember like really wanting to go on, but being too scared of one thing or another. And I didn't go on them for so long. And then I did, and I was like, okay. Mouselet 3: I'm trying to think the first time that you that you because it would have been you went on Tower of Terror. Do you remember? Like, was it who would it have been with? Like Papa Mouselet? M1: I don't remember. I I don't know. I I was definitely like old though. Mouselet 3: I feel like you were in like high school. M1: Pro I'm sure I was. I'm sure I was. I was so scared of the drop. I mean, looking at Tarotra Mouselet 3: Yeah. M1: from the outside is like very scary. Like people screaming and the dropping, I was like, no, thank you. Mouselet 3: Yeah. Yeah. No, it it is very scary. But I definitely we I mean I definitely didn't go on it until you went on it. and and even yeah, M1: Yeah, no. But you probably went on it younger than me. Mouselet 3: even then I probably waited a little bit. Yeah. No, that that's a good one. Okay, mine is sort of like what we were talking about at the beginning of the segment, living with the land, which is that I just did not appreciate living with the land as a kid. M1: yeah. I agree. Mouselet 3: We of course tell the story that we always thought it was in the top of the Epcot ball. Like that's what it was to me. It was just like, that's the ride with the vegetables in the top of the Epcot ball. But now living with the land is just like so serene, it inspires me. It makes me feel like I'm connected with the earth, like I'm truly living with the land, and I just feel like it's it's just such a good ride and as a kid. I don't know, I I just wish I paid more attention to it. Like, wake up, episode three, like please. And I have. M1: I agree. I just like couldn't, I could not appreciate it when I was growing up. okay, that's our main segment for you. Let us know in the comments what you agree and disagree with. Like, I'm genuinely very curious how other people, if they feel similarly or felt similarly at any point, or if you have other things that like you really don't like now or you love now. But now we are going to get into my game, which I'm so excited for. We are playing Disney Dodgeball. Okay, so this is how it's gonna work. I have a list of 12 characters, and we are going to go through and do a draft. Okay, so each of us is going to get to pick six characters for our team. They will be numbered one through six for each of us. Then we'll be rolling our dice to see which two characters match up in the dodgeball tournament. And we have to kind of battle it out talking-wise who we think would win that tournament. To see who is which team is the dodgeball champion. Do you understand? Mouselet 3: Once they're paired up, we it once they're paired up, we have to just have a conversation about like who's gonna who would win in a game of dodgeball. M1: Yes. So, yes. We here are the 12 people that are going to be drafted into our teams, the 12 characters. Baymax, Edna Mode, Mater from Cars, Stitch, Doug, the dog from Up, Jeannie, Snoops from the Rescuers, Olaf, Mad Hatter, Mike Wazowski, Kuzco in his llama form. And anger from inside out. Okay. We're gonna each roll our dice. We each have a dice with us. We're gonna each roll our dice to see who gets to pick first. I got a four. What did you get? All right, you get to pick first. Who are you going for? Mouselet 3: Okay, so I want the most athletic person, correct? M1: Yep. Mouselet 3: Okay, good. Just making sure. I want I know I'm not gonna take too long. I want M1: Talk through your thoughts. Just talk through your thoughts. Mouselet 3: Okay, here's what I'm thinking. I had to go look that look up that Baymax was the big white character from Big Hero Six. I didn't know that he was for sure, and I didn't know who Snoop's from the rescues were. So I'm I'm gonna remove both of those. I'm gonna say anger from inside out. I feel like he could really kick a ball. M1: Okay, that's your number one. My number Mouselet 3: Although sorry, dodgeball is the one where the balls are thrown, not kicked, correct? So he could really throw one. M1: Correct. Correct. My number one is going to be Baymax, of course. I love Baymax. Okay, next up. Mouselet 3: From up. M1: Wow, not a pick that I was seeing. Okay, Perfect Mouse 3 is filling out his own thing in the spreadsheet. Great, can you cross my aisle, please? okay, hmm, who am I gonna pick next? I'm thinking, here's what I'm thinking. Mater from Cars is a tank. I feel like he could be a really good pick. Stitch is crazy, lots of arms. I feel like he could be hurling dodgeballs. and Snoops from the Rescuers is like substantial and large. But I think that I'm gonna go stitch actually. Yep, I'm gonna go stitch. Okay, who are you picking next? Mouselet 3: Okay. Etna Mode is tiny and can like like race M1: Yeah. Mouselet 3: around. So definitely lean towards her. Mike Gwizowski honestly could be a horrible pick. Could be a great pick though. M1: He could be the ball. Mouselet 3: no, exactly. He could that's what I'm thinking. He could like roll. I'm pretty sure there's a scene where he rolls. Olaf seems virtually indestructible because I feel like M1: Yeah. Mouselet 3: he can so And then the genie could definitely like I'm gonna go with Olaf because I think that No, I'm gonna go with Endomode. I think that she could really race around. Yeah, yeah. I think that she really could. M1: wow. Okay. And you know what? I actually forgot that the genie was on this list. I'm I'm going for the genie. I think he can transform, he can change, he can kind of be whatever I need him to be at any moment. So genie it is for me. N okay, lev Mouselet 3: I you know M1: remaining characters to choose from Mater from Cars, Snoops from the Rescuers, Olaf, Mad Hatter, Mike Wazowski, Cusco in his llama form. Who are you thinking? Mouselet 3: gonna go with oof. A lot of these are just kind of bottom of the barrel. I'm gonna M1: Yeah. Mouselet 3: go with Olaf because I think just M1: Okay. Mouselet 3: something about the fact that he can really put himself back together is gonna benefit me. M1: Alright, I'm going for Mater from Cars. Again, he's just sort of seems like a tank. He's got like a grappling hook. Like I feel like he could make something happen for me. Mouselet 3: I'm really thinking about the sport of throwing a ball and then trying to dodge it. So I'm not sure M1: G Mouselet 3: if you are, but that's what I'm doing. I'm M1: Ha ha. Mouselet 3: going with Mike Wazowski. I think that he can roll around. M1: Okay, we have Cusco the Mad Hatter and Snoops left. This is a tough call. I was feeling Snoops earlier, but he also was kind of like a big clumsy oaf. So now I'm less sure. I I I kind of think I'm I kind of think I might be feeling Cusco in his llama form. I I think I'm gonna go llama Cusco. Yeah. Let's go Llama Cusco. All right, do you want Snoops or the Mad Hatter? Mouselet 3: I don't know anything about Snoop, so I'm going with Matt Hatter. You know what? Maybe M1: Yeah. Mouselet 3: he would he he seems insanely clumsy, but maybe he would like just kind of M1: Yeah. Mouselet 3: really come through with a win by it seems like one of those perfect like he accidentally trips over five thousand teacups and he manages to throw the ball in the perfect direction and win. That's what I'm that's what I'm hoping for. M1: All right. Grab your dice. We're going to see what our first matchup is, okay? Mouselet 3: I have to say I think you had an unfair advantage M1: Yeah. Mouselet 3: because you knew what my number one, number two, number three was. So you were picking you could have picked 'cause isn't it when we M1: Why? What I didn't Mouselet 3: get three, it's whatever three is on your list and three is on my list. So you were able to pair e we're we're each rolling the dice. Okay. All right, good, good. M1: No, it's you're gonna roll you're gonna No, no, no. You're gonna roll a dice and get a number. I'm gonna roll a dice. Yeah. Okay, go ahead. I got six. Oof. Okay, my last okay, Olaf versus Snoop. All right, here's Mouselet 3: I got four. Olaf versus Snoops. Okay. M1: my case for Snoops. Snoops is big and can kind of be he's like this, okay? Anyone watching a video can see me. He's like this. He's got his dodgeballs, and I feel like he can just like crush. Mouselet 3: By by like this she means like barreling around side to side quickly. M1: I feel like he could just kind of like be hurling balls, crushing Olaf. Mouselet 3: Can we can is is the definition of winning or losing just getting hit with the ball once? Or M1: Yeah, getting hit with a ball once. Mouselet 3: Okay, so Olaf falling apart and putting himself back together does absolutely nothing for me. M1: Well maybe he could like separate to dodge the ball, you know? Mouselet 3: Yeah, I do know. I know nothing about Snoops. I think that Olaf I honest please M1: Here's my pro here's my argument against Olaf. His arms are like twigs. Mouselet 3: They're not like twigs. They are twigs. M1: Ha ha ha. Mouselet 3: yes, but I do think that he I mean, I haven't seen Frozen Two, Three, Four, Five, or Six, but I do think that Olaf can throw a snowball. And I think that there's kind of like M1: that's true. He does I Mouselet 3: some snowball fighting that happens in some of them. So I think that he has more experience. What is Snoops' profession? M1: kind of being like a henchman, a sort of clumsy henchman. Mouselet 3: think that Olaf could throw some snowballs around and is kind of trained to do that. But M1: All right, I'll give you a laugh. I'll give you a laugh. I'll give you a laugh. I think Olaf Mouselet 3: Wow. Thank you. M1: can throw snowball that that you are correct, despite his twigs. And I think Snoop's is unfortunately really kind of oafy and clumsy. Mouselet 3: Before I thought about the snowball falling, I was gonna give it give you to give you Snoops M1: Ha ha ha. Mouselet 3: because Olaf I think would just get distracted by a little flower and like walk M1: Ha ha ha. Mouselet 3: away. But maybe Snoops would too. All right, here we go. Round two. Round two of six. M1: Round two. All right, I got stitch. Mouselet 3: I got a I got three Edna mode. You got two for stitched. M1: Edna mode versus Stitch. All right. Stitch has like six arms. Mouselet 3: Edna Mode does this thing. Stitch would win. However, Edna Mode does this thing where she goes. Like runs around. Can you can you picture that? M1: can, but I do think that we can both agree that Stitch would absolutely obliterate Edna immediately. Mouselet 3: Stitch would win. That was a really, really good choice. Yeah. Stitch would do a good job. Okay. M1: Okay, roll again. Our next round. I got an I can't just Mouselet 3: I got Edna again. no, I didn't. I got Doug from up. I got a number two. M1: Okay, Doug from Up, your number two versus my number four, Mater from Cars. Mouselet 3: So Mater doesn't have any arms. Let's start there. Doug from up also can't throw a ball, but he can catch a ball. And I think in dodgeball, if you catch a ball in your hands or mouth, M1: That's true. Mouselet 3: the other person loses. So M1: Ha ha. Mouselet 3: I don't think Mater can do much besides drive around M1: Okay, meter. Mouselet 3: and talk like these. So what he can pick Doug up? What is the grappling cook gonna do? M1: Mater has a a grappling hook. Mater Mater maybe he could throw it with his mouth. Maybe he could throw it with throw the ball with via the grappling hook. Mouselet 3: No, I think if if Pixar had to do a any sort of ball thing, I think they would have the ball go into his his truck bed and he would like pop it from b like kinda you know what I mean? M1: Yeah, I think you could do that. I honestly think that Doug would be horrible. He is like the most easily distractable dog. Mouselet 3: He's he's trained to like catch balls and go run it. M1: And he's not tal he's not talented at that. Mouselet 3: I think that Doug can't throw the ball. But I think Mater can't catch the ball or M1: Ha ha ha. Mouselet 3: or or throw the ball either. So I don't know. This one's a toss up. I think the fact that Doug is a dog and can catch the ball in his mouth, you know, could be M1: The only other thing I would say about Mater is like he's very large, so he's easier to hit, which I wasn't really fully thinking about. You know, big target. Mouselet 3: Also, I feel like if this was Lightning McQueen, he would never lose because he would just be all around. M1: Ha ha. Mouselet 3: Mater literally feels like he drives like at the pace of a slug and like has zero boundary awareness. M1: I do think Mater though could really p pitch a ball towards Doug. I think Doug, like how's Doug just well, Mouselet 3: Really? 'Cause ten seconds ago you hadn't even thought about that. M1: just sort of give me a singular pitch for how Doug is tossing the ball to Mater at Mater. Mouselet 3: Hitting it with a set. M1: And he's tossing it up to hit it with his head, how? Mouselet 3: Fine. Mater wins, I guess. Only because I told you the only possible way the Pixar would animate him throwing a ball. Roll again. M1: Okay, next up roll. Mouselet 3: As of now the score is three has one point and two excuse me, one has two points. M1: Yes. If you get a repeat, just roll again. We don't we don't need to hear. Okay, my number three, the genie. Mouselet 3: Thank you. Mind number five, Mike Wazowski. I think Mike Wazowski's M1: Okay. Mouselet 3: arms could really throw a ball. And do you know what I mean? I don't think it's Mike Wazowski. I think it's something else and it'll come to me. But there is a movie where someone is like basically a ball with ligaments, and then when he needs he goes, phoom. M1: The and you know what? I don't think that that's Mike Wazowski. Mouselet 3: What is it though? Who is it? It could be Mike M1: I don't know. Mouselet 3: Wazowski. M1: No, it's like not. Mike is like not a ball. Here's the thing. I almost think the genie is unbeatable. I almost think the genie is my best possible one. He can be anything. The only thing is, is the genie the genie can pick things up, right? Mouselet 3: You think he can't touch anything? M1: Well no, just 'cause he's like trans transparent, sort of. He must pick things up in the movies. Mouselet 3: Yeah. In in the Aladdin on Broadway world, he can touch things. M1: Okay, so if he can touch things, Mouselet 3: Not sure about the movie, but M1: he can be anything. He can be a cannon that's shooting dodgeballs at Mike. Mouselet 3: And Mike Wazowski can run around wildly like this M1: Ha ha ha. Mouselet 3: and probably not get hit. And Mike Wazowski has insane vision. He can see that ball coming from a mile away. M1: Ha ha ha Mouselet 3: And he's very small. He's kind of a difficult target. Though how big are monsters? Well, I've met Mike Wizowski, I know how big he is. M1: Yeah. Mouselet 3: How big is the genie? That is a whole other question. Perfect. Very easy for Mike Wizowski to hit him. No, the genie can't be small. Have you ever seen a tiny genie? M1: The genie can be as big as he wants or as small. He could be a bumblebee. Yeah, he's like a bumblebee in one scene. I think the genie I'm sorry, Mouselet 3: Fine. M1: the genie wins. I'm sorry, but the genie wins. Mouselet 3: Okay, this game is not fun. Let's just move on to the pit and peach of the week. I'm just kidding. M1: I think I think the only the only one I'm really still debating is Doug from Up versus Mater. But anyways, okay. Mouselet 3: No, he can't throw it, but neither can Vader. So maybe dodgeball. I think the problem the problem is dodgeball is a pretty unique game. This might maybe should have been like the a game of tag. M1: Okay. Well it was dodgeball, so let's roll again. Just gotta keep rolling a few times here, guys. Okay, Mouselet 3: Okay, six. M1: number one. Mouselet 3: We've got Bay Max versus Mad Hatter. I know nothing about Bay Max besides the fact that he's gigantic. M1: Let's see. So Baymax does have like an armor suit that he gets at one point. And then he has like blasters and is like super strong. But he doesn't always get that suit. So I I don't know if he's in his regular form or his I was picturing him more in his non-suit form. Mouselet 3: Agree, his non suit form. Baymax to me is Eve from Wally, triple in size and made out of a porous marshmallow material. M1: He's kind he's full of air, is what he actually is. To me, I guess I when I picked May Max Mouselet 3: Baymax is gigantic and could be anybody could throw a ball at Baymax and it would easily hit him. He's a gigantic balloon. M1: That's true. I when I was thinking about Mimex, I was r I don't know. I he just seems so powerful to me, but he I am thinking that if I'm being honest, his arms aren't really super good at like bending because he's full of air. So throwing a ball might be Mouselet 3: Does he have hands? M1: he does have ants. Mouselet 3: Does he have a brain? M1: Yes. Mouselet 3: Does he speak? M1: Yes. You need to watch the movie. It's so good. Okay, make your case for the Mad Hatter. Mouselet 3: I mean, what case is there to make? I think he's perfect for the job. I think he's just crazy enough that he would just be like literally like throwing balls all over the place and like just I think that M1: I do see him kind of being like poop poop poop poop poop like launching 'cause he's crazy. Yeah. Mouselet 3: Yeah, I c I I can imagine taking teacups and going pff like like spinning them like discs. I think the Mad Hatter would win because I think he's like just so crazy that he just Bay Max is gonna just be like confused by him. M1: Okay, the only reason I'm gonna give you him is because Baymax technically is like a healthcare companion and he doesn't wanna hurt anybody. If he's in his suit though, he like would, but Mouselet 3: So M1: Okay, our final one is Anger versus Lama Cusco. Mouselet 3: I mean anger. Anger literally is M1: we have to make a case. Mouselet 3: a anger is a beast. Anger has fire shooting out the top of his head. He can get M1: Yeah. Mouselet 3: so fired up, and that's what you need when you're out there on the field. He is human like, so he has arms and can run around. unlike a llama, which can trot and can barely even pick up a ball, besides with his gigantic teeth, maybe. All the llama can do is spit. And if I remember correctly, Cusco is not that coordinated. M1: I do think Cusco Mouselet 3: In fact M1: like I here's my thing. I have a point for anger that you didn't make, so I don't know if I would like to share it with you, but Mouselet 3: I think that you should because I told you how Mater would pick up a ball. You said grappling hook. M1: I mean anger c anger could literally like blast any ball coming at him and like incinerate it before it hit him, I think, with his head. Mouselet 3: Yep, I would agree with that. M1: Cusco, I feel like Cusco could like do some really good maneuvering around the ball. He's very limber. I feel like he could very easily kind of not get hit. But I do worry that because he only really has hooves and he's not super adept at using them, that he would struggle to throw the ball. Mouselet 3: I agree. Again, I think this comes back to dodgeball being a a fairly unique sport for some of these characters. M1: Guys, it's three versus three. I wish I had a tiebreaker. Mouselet 3: You know what we do? I well I think I think we roll again and then it's a final showdown between those characters. M1: Okay. Two. Okay, here we go. I'm nervous. Mouselet 3: Or it's if it was a game of six V six, who would win? M1: You choose. What do you the tiebreaker to Mouselet 3: The role. Six V six is gonna be like a twenty minute conversation. That is gonna be too too too difficult of a question to answer. M1: Okay. Okay, here we go. One one roll, let's see. Horrible, horrible role for me. Mouselet 3: I got anger, number one. What did you get? M1: Lama Cusco, the exact battle we just had. So you know what? Reroll perfect, thank Mouselet 3: No no, no, re re roll, re roll. Yeah. M1: God. Okay, I got the genie. Mouselet 3: I got the Matt Hatter. M1: The genie wins for sure. Genie wins. Like I Mouselet 3: Yeah. M1: said, I think genie is sort of the ultimate smackdown in this game. Mouselet 3: And yet he was third on your list and all you only picked him because I go, Well, the genie could be good and then I said, Instead M1: No. Correct and Mouselet 3: I'm gonna pick Ednum. I said the genie could be got inside and demoted this. M1: Okay, that was really fun. I was excited about that game Mouselet 3: That was fun. M1: and and it lived up to my expectations. Mouselet 3: Good. Next time I'm on the podcast I wanna play this game, but I wanna play it with tag and different characters. Just like to mix it up. M1: Okay. Okay. Let's close Mouselet 3: Thank you. M1: out with our pit and peach of the week. Also, I have pit right now, which I talked about this on the sitting on the ground talking segment, if you want to hear more. But my house is currently so hot. I can't even explain how sweaty I am right now. It's will not cool down. Yes, it Mouselet 3: Wait, it's still hot? What turn the AC on? M1: but like turning the AC on, it's like 50 degrees outside. Like it would be insane to turn the AC on, but I'm absolutely dying. I'm roasting. I'm so uncomfortable. It's so unpleasant. Also, we paid $1,000 in water related things today, one of which was snaking a drain. Nothing important, nothing like Mouselet 3: I was about to say when you hear water related things you might be thinking there was a gigantic pipe that burst. No, no, it was just stinking a drain. M1: If you want to hear more about that literally horrific situation, feel free to listen to sitting on the ground talking. What's your pit? Mouselet 3: It I think my pit is the weather. I think that it just like it really on a Monday, 'cause it's Monday today, it was dreary, it was cloudy, it was rainy. It's not the rain, it's the clouds. Rain can be cozy and and comforting and it's just the clouds were it just really was not inspiring me to get my day going. so I would say that would be a pit of of the day or of the week, 'cause I think it's supposed to be rainy for the next couple of days and it's been rainy. So I'd say that's a pit. M1: Yeah, it's been awful. My peach is that I got to go to Mouse Lit Three's house this weekend. I got to see his house for the first time. It was so nice. It was brief, but it was nice to be up there. If you want to hear more again, more on that and sitting on the ground talking. Mouselet 3: That was gonna be my peach as well, was was yesterday and just having the family up here and and showing off the house. But instead I'll say a future peach for this com this week is I get to build a bathroom vanity for M1: yes. Mouselet 3: my bathroom, which I was supposed to have done by now, but haven't yet. And I figured out sort of I think how I'm gonna do it, and I have the plumber scheduled for next week, and so I have to do it like this weekslash this weekend. And although I'm a little nervous because I've never actually built something that important and or that involved, even though it's fairly simple, I know that I'll be excited once it's done because it'll be something I can sort of like take ownership of. And so far, most of the stuff I've taken ownership of the house has been like logistics types things, like an HVAC system or like shelving for the basement or something silly like that. So I'm excited for it to be something that I get to see and use every day. and sort of design and create it myself. So a little nervous, but I'm excited for it to be done. M1: Nice. Okay, fact of the Mouselet 3: My peach. M1: day. I did the YouTube video this week, so my fact of the day is easy. it's gonna be a shameless bug for the video. You should really watch it. But I was going to do a video on the failure of mission space and like why that ride didn't work. And when I was looking it up, I was looking up why the ride that was there before it, which was called Horizons Closed, and I found this insane pitch that Disney did. For a space pavilion, which was what they were gonna put there before they ended up deciding on mission space instead. It was literally, I can barely even explain it, but basically they were pitching this idea that was like about space, but also about like they were calling it speculations and like how like the human mind and like the consciousness of our ancestors and the whole entire world like are bigger and greater and faster than the universe, and how like Actually, the only thing more powerful than the universe is our like collective eye and and our minds. And it is like so meta and crazy and weird. It like barely makes sense. It's literally like I you can't even it's so bizarre. Anyways, I it's called like the speculator. Okay. It's this whole crazy ride into like speculation of the universe and stuff. It is. Really insane. I have a whole YouTube video up about it if you want to learn more, but I had never heard of it. And when I was reading this, I literally it's a it's an official Disney document. So like I know it's real. I'm reading a firsthand source, but like wow, it's crazy. Okay, your your fact. Mouselet 3: That's I can consider my interest peaked. That's very weird and interesting. my facts, oof. Listen, I did not prepare a fact, but you know what? I actually wanted to say this on the the last time I was on the podcast. Probably everybody knows this, but for the one person who doesn't know it, I think it's very interesting. When it's just about the Walt Disney Land thing in Florida. That when Walt Disney M1: Go for it. Mouselet 3: was Walt Disney himself was Coming off the success of Disneyland and looking to build a park elsewhere, he was looking for locations and he finally found the right location in Florida. And so he began buying land under, and please M1 correct me on any of this if I'm wrong, began buying land where Walt Disney World is today, under fake names or like other company names that sort of couldn't be traced back to him for what they were being sold for or like a fair price. and b picking up all of this acreage all around Florida. And the last parcel of land that he needed to buy in order to like really move forward and like tell the world that he like chose Florida in this exact location, somehow it was leaked that it was him. Somehow like people caught wind of it and the the seller of the land ri like raised the price like to an insane amount and he just had to buy it because he needed the land and there was nothing he could do. M1: I believe he like basically paid the same amount for that last bit of land that he did for like the entire rest of the land, like cumulative because it was so expensive. That was a good fact. Okay. Mouselet 3: Thank you. M1: Well, thank you everybody for listening. Thank you for Malc Mouse Three for being my co-host today. if Mouselet 3: Thank for having me.
