- 0:00Speaker 1: So last night I was, I've been trying to shower
- 0:04Speaker 1: in the evening.
- 0:06Speaker 2: I like an evening shower.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Rather than when I get up in the morning.
- 0:09Speaker 3: I I need it in the morning wakes me up.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Yeah, just it just takes too much time. And you know,
- 0:14Speaker 1: so I get get it out of the way, do
- 0:16Speaker 1: it before you know, dinner, or right after dinner, before bed.
- 0:20Speaker 1: And but but I was a little tired last night,
- 0:22Speaker 1: and I was, so I take a take a shower,
- 0:25Speaker 1: and part of my routine is I'll wash my hair
- 0:28Speaker 1: and and I'll put conditioner in it. And then when
- 0:31Speaker 1: I get out of the shower and it's the hair
- 0:34Speaker 1: is still wet, I put a product in it which
- 0:39Speaker 1: just gives it a little body or I don't know.
- 0:43Speaker 1: I'm not sure exactly what it does. It says it
- 0:46Speaker 1: says hair paste, and it's.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Probably helps with your friz then.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's not very thick. It's it's not it's
- 0:54Speaker 1: not as thick as paste.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Like an conditioner kind of thing.
- 0:57Speaker 1: It's sort of and it come it comes in a
- 1:00Speaker 1: a little stand up No, it's just just a little bottle.
- 1:07Speaker 1: You go click the top and you can squeeze it
- 1:09Speaker 1: out into your arm and a little you can squeeze
- 1:11Speaker 1: the bottle and uh, it comes from the Dollar Shave Club.
- 1:17Speaker 1: That is where I get and I also from the
- 1:20Speaker 1: Dollar Shaved Club. I really like their shave butter, which
- 1:26Speaker 1: is which is it's in a similar tube and.
- 1:31Speaker 4: It's it's and it's and it's, it's, it's it's like
- 1:35Speaker 4: really it's almost a lotion, uh that you put on
- 1:40Speaker 4: it like shave cream, but it's it's like a lotion
- 1:43Speaker 4: and it's really I really like it, and but.
- 1:46Speaker 1: I don't like it in my hair. A big handful
- 1:49Speaker 1: of it and I start rubbing it into my hair
- 1:53Speaker 1: and then I wait a minute.
- 1:55Speaker 2: They should be different colors.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Yeah, they're they're the same color.
- 2:00Speaker 5: Because I have that with my shampoo and conditioner in
- 2:02Speaker 5: the shower, the bottles look the same. This isn't as
- 2:06Speaker 5: bad because you're in the shower, but you think you're
- 2:08Speaker 5: going for the shampoo and you get the conditioner first.
- 2:11Speaker 5: You can't do that first, so then you look at
- 2:13Speaker 5: this in your hand and you're.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Like, well, I don't want to waste it. Well, then
- 2:17Speaker 2: you try to scrape it back into the bottle.
- 2:20Speaker 1: If that never you have you have to make you
- 2:22Speaker 1: put it, you know, left and right. You know, the
- 2:26Speaker 1: shampoo is on the left, the conditioners on the right.
- 2:28Speaker 1: But this was just and so I I what, I guess,
- 2:31Speaker 1: I just I took a towel and just kind of
- 2:33Speaker 1: but I didn't want to get back in the shower
- 2:35Speaker 1: and wash it out again. And so so my hair
- 2:38Speaker 1: is all kind of it's going to be there for
- 2:40Speaker 1: a while. It's kind of limp and weird to tell
- 2:42Speaker 1: you wash it again. Yeah, it's I mean, it's not,
- 2:45Speaker 1: it's it's not. I don't do my hair doesn't look
- 2:49Speaker 1: that great anyway. Ever, But have.
- 2:51Speaker 5: You have you considered going short again ever, because there
- 2:56Speaker 5: was a time when.
- 2:57Speaker 2: You were short haired?
- 2:58Speaker 1: Bill? No, no, no, I don't think so, because I
- 3:02Speaker 1: because my hair has gotten thinner and it's gotten quite gray.
- 3:07Speaker 1: And if I if I did it short, it would
- 3:12Speaker 1: just almost look like there was nothing there. It would
- 3:16Speaker 1: just be sort of and then I don't know, I
- 3:19Speaker 1: guess I'd start wearing a hat all the time. But
- 3:23Speaker 1: I don't, I get, I don't care that much. You know,
- 3:28Speaker 1: it can it can, ye know, and some days it
- 3:30Speaker 1: looks okay. See, wearing headphones doesn't help.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Women have this thing, and they will nod when I
- 3:40Speaker 2: say this.
- 3:41Speaker 5: Okay, So trying to schedule out your hair washing days
- 3:48Speaker 5: and your events where you need your hair to look
- 3:51Speaker 5: good days is difficult to do.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Eighties nodding because you don't wash your hair.
- 3:56Speaker 5: Out every day, so you have to and if you
- 4:00Speaker 5: get off your schedule, it ruins everything.
- 4:05Speaker 1: How it ruins everything?
- 4:07Speaker 5: Like, Okay, if I have a thing on Friday where
- 4:10Speaker 5: my hair has to look really good and my typical
- 4:14Speaker 5: hair washing day is maybe Wednesday, and that's an extra day,
- 4:19Speaker 5: and you're like, but if I wash it the night.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Before, it's it's a problem.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Just go every other day.
- 4:25Speaker 2: I go every 's what I typically. I go every other.
- 4:28Speaker 3: Okay, as I wash my hair every day.
- 4:31Speaker 5: Yeah, and then you get the dry shampoo to try
- 4:34Speaker 5: to eke it along a little, but the dry shampooe
- 4:37Speaker 5: pool only works for one extra day.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I've never tried to have I've never tried dry shampoo.
- 4:43Speaker 3: You may want to. Yeah, it It kind of calms
- 4:46Speaker 3: the friz down too.
- 4:49Speaker 5: It's a nice thing, like I especially when you're traveling
- 4:53Speaker 5: for a woman that has a lot of hair, it's
- 4:55Speaker 5: not always you're.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Wait, you're traveling for a woman who has a lot
- 4:58Speaker 1: of hair.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Wh It's not always easy to wash your hair on kid.
- 5:05Speaker 5: On vacation because you can't bring all of your typical
- 5:09Speaker 5: things you need to What.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Have you been doing, I've been traveling for a woman
- 5:13Speaker 1: who has a lot of hair.
- 5:14Speaker 5: So you take a little thing of dry shampooing to
- 5:18Speaker 5: eke it along until you eat it along.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Collect collective nod from sue. She has skipped events because
- 5:24Speaker 3: she doesn't want to wash her hair.
- 5:25Speaker 1: But your due, but I'm just not gonna go. It's
- 5:30Speaker 1: a problem.
- 5:31Speaker 5: Well, this is why rich women go just get their
- 5:35Speaker 5: hair blown out all the time. They just see it's
- 5:38Speaker 5: never they don't ever have to schedule things. They just
- 5:41Speaker 5: go and have it done.
- 5:42Speaker 3: And it's less about my hair than it is about
- 5:44Speaker 3: my moisturizing all of my product.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Yeah, that makes it difficult. So you use you use
- 5:51Speaker 1: shampoo conditioner and then shampoo, just shampoo.
- 5:55Speaker 3: And that's it on the hair.
- 5:57Speaker 1: That's it. No, no no leaving condition or no, no
- 6:01Speaker 1: product do need it.
- 6:04Speaker 3: It's it's the other stuff that it gets to be
- 6:06Speaker 3: labor intensive because you know, you gotta you gotta, you
- 6:10Speaker 3: gotta moisturize the body, you know, so you don't get
- 6:15Speaker 3: the old lady elbow, you don't want that. And then
- 6:20Speaker 3: the face, there's under the eye, yeah, the stuff that
- 6:25Speaker 3: takes the puffiness the Yeah, I use that. And then
- 6:27Speaker 3: there's the World's fee for crows feet.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Oh I thought it was just the same thing.
- 6:32Speaker 3: No, it's a different stuff. And then there's another one
- 6:35Speaker 3: for just moisturizing things. And then there's the sunscreen.
- 6:40Speaker 2: And do you do that every day?
- 6:41Speaker 3: Every morning? Every morning the sunscreen comes down here.
- 6:44Speaker 5: So that's why you can't shower at night because you're
- 6:47Speaker 5: doing if you don't put sunscreen on before you go
- 6:49Speaker 5: to bed.
- 6:50Speaker 1: So no, unless you're sleeping outside in the middle of
- 6:54Speaker 1: the day.
- 6:55Speaker 3: And that's nothing compared to my self care sundays.
- 6:58Speaker 5: Oh yeah, So yeah, there are different So I know
- 7:01Speaker 5: I have I have this too, because you have your
- 7:04Speaker 5: daily But then when you have a little extra time,
- 7:08Speaker 5: you have well I have, that's when more of the exfoliating.
- 7:11Speaker 1: I have this beard to deal with and so and
- 7:14Speaker 1: it having a beard makes it hard to shave too.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Just shave the part of the part of your face
- 7:21Speaker 1: that isn't covered in hair. And but it's I I
- 7:25Speaker 1: can't afford to go to have somebody groom this beard.
- 7:28Speaker 1: All the time. So I try to do it myself,
- 7:30Speaker 1: and I think I do a fairly good job of
- 7:32Speaker 1: keeping it under control. But it's just do you.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Put product in that to keep it soft?
- 7:38Speaker 1: I put product in it every morning. Beard. No, I
- 7:43Speaker 1: don't like oil. I've tried that. And then there's beard butter,
- 7:47Speaker 1: which I don't like either. But so it's beard. What
- 7:51Speaker 1: do they call it goo? It's a it's like almost
- 7:54Speaker 1: the consistency of vassaline, almost, you know, beard beard balm.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Maybe they call it hmmm, and it's uh yeah, And
- 8:02Speaker 1: but it it absorbs really quickly. When you first put
- 8:06Speaker 1: it in, it's kind of you know, you're you can
- 8:08Speaker 1: feel it and kind of greasy on your fingers, But
- 8:11Speaker 1: but it absorbs really quickly and it keeps your beard soft.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Is there some sort of talk that would work?
- 8:20Speaker 1: No, No, it's got to be a moisture. I got
- 8:22Speaker 1: to be a moisture. And then I have a specially
- 8:25Speaker 1: like I brush, I brush it out or comb it out,
- 8:28Speaker 1: put the stuff in it, and then brush it and
- 8:29Speaker 1: comb it again. I do that every morning. But that
- 8:32Speaker 1: just takes a minute, for two minutes.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Maybe I'll take a picture this Sunday. Sure of your
- 8:40Speaker 3: I have a whole outfit.
- 8:42Speaker 1: You put on a special grooming out I do.
- 8:47Speaker 3: Oh we need to see this with my Curryan face
- 8:50Speaker 3: mask and oh yeah.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Oh that I'd like to try one of those. I've
- 8:55Speaker 1: seen those.
- 8:56Speaker 2: You need to.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Getting them on is a pain because they're so slip.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Yeah, and you have to get over your eyes.
- 9:02Speaker 3: You have to be gentle because they'll tear if you're
- 9:05Speaker 3: not careful. But then you also want to make sure
- 9:07Speaker 3: they get everywhere.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I got to get it in those nasy naso labiabos.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Yeah they're there, and then along here.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Oh Carrie, we need we need a photo for sure.
- 9:16Speaker 3: And then my special Japanese pajamas that I have.
- 9:21Speaker 1: How long do you leave on the mask.
- 9:23Speaker 3: Depends on the mask. Some of them say twenty minutes,
- 9:26Speaker 3: some of them say three hours. Really take a nap,
- 9:31Speaker 3: I just watch a show, watch a show.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Why are some of them only twenty minutes and some
- 9:39Speaker 1: of them three hours?
- 9:40Speaker 3: Depends on what they're made from or what their goal is.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Oh so they're not just to moisturize.
- 9:47Speaker 3: There's all kinds of many, many different kinds with different goals.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Is there one that will make me handsome?
- 9:55Speaker 2: You never take it off. You just leave it all
- 9:57Speaker 2: the time.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Palmade on the beer.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Yeah, palmade on the beard.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Yeah, palmade.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Yeah, it's kind of I guess that's what it is.
- 10:07Speaker 1: I forget it says on the can, it's it's the
- 10:09Speaker 1: beard guy's something.
- 10:11Speaker 3: Hey, what's wrong with old Lady Elbow? I'm getting hate
- 10:15Speaker 3: mail from you.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Can you can fight? You should fight against old Lady Elbow.
- 10:20Speaker 1: It's hard. I listen. I realized that I had it
- 10:23Speaker 1: moisturized every day. Well, and I but and so I
- 10:26Speaker 1: was moisturizing every day, but it wouldn't go away. Well
- 10:28Speaker 1: that's why I realized I had to attack it with
- 10:30Speaker 1: a pumice stone.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Well then there's that.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:32Speaker 3: But if once it gets there, it's hard to take
- 10:35Speaker 3: it back. Yeah.
- 10:36Speaker 5: So you got to do it before you get preventative,
- 10:38Speaker 5: preventative Old Lady Elbow.
- 10:40Speaker 3: Sorry, ma'am, this.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Has been farting around about grooming.
- 10:46Speaker 3: What time do you guys wake up to do this process.
- 10:48Speaker 3: I'm up at three every morning.
- 10:50Speaker 1: I'm up at three every morning.
- 10:51Speaker 5: Well, and I did the same thing, though I have
- 10:54Speaker 5: a different system. If I do it at night, Like
- 10:57Speaker 5: to Carrie's point, I don't do my son's green route
- 11:00Speaker 5: if I'm showering in the at night, but in the
- 11:03Speaker 5: morning it's a whole other thing.
- 11:05Speaker 3: I'm sorry for the political nature of this show.
- 11:08Speaker 1: I don't call mine beauty secrets, no beauty involved.
