- 0:12Speaker 1: I want you to get your bibles and go to
- 0:14Speaker 1: the Book of Exodus. Chapter number four is fourteen, verse
- 0:18Speaker 1: four through nine, and then we're going to skip down
- 0:20Speaker 1: to thirteen through eighteen. The Book of Exodus, chapter number fourteen,
- 0:24Speaker 1: verse four through nine, and then we're going to go
- 0:26Speaker 1: through nine through thirteen. But before we read it, I
- 0:30Speaker 1: want you to, if you can, in your mind and
- 0:32Speaker 1: your heart and your spirit, in order to feel the
- 0:35Speaker 1: impact of the text. Once you have it, stand to
- 0:38Speaker 1: your feet for the reading of the word, and after
- 0:42Speaker 1: this you can sit the rest of the time. I
- 0:45Speaker 1: didn't tell you to wear it in shoes. Don't blame
- 0:50Speaker 1: me looking cute as expensive. Amen. Amen, I want you
- 0:57Speaker 1: to go back in your mind. I want to put
- 0:59Speaker 1: the text in context. These are the people of God,
- 1:05Speaker 1: but they haven't really been the people of God for
- 1:08Speaker 1: a long time. They have been in captivity for four
- 1:13Speaker 1: hundred years in Egypt. They have been in Egypt four
- 1:18Speaker 1: hundred and thirty years, but the last four hundred years
- 1:22Speaker 1: they have been enslave. Now we consider the fact that
- 1:27Speaker 1: forty years is typically in scriptures, a generation. Ten generations
- 1:33Speaker 1: are living off of the memory of God. There is
- 1:39Speaker 1: some memory of God left because they knew enough about
- 1:43Speaker 1: him after ten generations to still call on him. But
- 1:49Speaker 1: their faith and their theology and their understanding of God
- 1:52Speaker 1: is diluted by time and polluted by association with the Egyptians.
- 2:00Speaker 1: This is proven because later when they get in the
- 2:02Speaker 1: wilderness and they try to build an image of God,
- 2:04Speaker 1: they build the image of the Egyptian's God, because who
- 2:09Speaker 1: you hang out with does affect you. And yet, with
- 2:16Speaker 1: just a little bit of faith that they had left
- 2:19Speaker 1: enough to call on God by reason of the intense
- 2:23Speaker 1: bondage that was placed on them, they cried unto God,
- 2:26Speaker 1: and God heard them. I'm so glad that you don't
- 2:29Speaker 1: have to be perfect or have everything right for God
- 2:34Speaker 1: to hear you. You don't earn the right to be heard.
- 2:39Speaker 1: God heard them. They were struggling, but God heard them.
- 2:43Speaker 1: They were broken, but God heard them. They didn't even
- 2:47Speaker 1: have full understanding of who he was, but God heard
- 2:51Speaker 1: them and sent Moses to deliver them. Now, Moses was
- 2:55Speaker 1: somebody they should have known, But Moses has been on
- 2:58Speaker 1: the back side of the desert for four years. So
- 3:01Speaker 1: whereas the old people might have remembered him, the young
- 3:06Speaker 1: people didn't even know who he was. And Moses has
- 3:10Speaker 1: the responsibility of leading the people that he is kin
- 3:13Speaker 1: to but not familiar with. Okay, now he is leading
- 3:19Speaker 1: them out of bondage and away from Pharroh. And they
- 3:23Speaker 1: have told Pharaoh, let my people go, that they may
- 3:26Speaker 1: worship me in the wilderness. And as they begin to leave,
- 3:33Speaker 1: Pharah changed his mind. Oh is right. And as they're
- 3:38Speaker 1: trying to escape, and they're trying to flee, Pharah now
- 3:42Speaker 1: sets out to take them back. At least said maybe
- 3:49Speaker 1: kill them. This is not a democracy. There are no
- 3:54Speaker 1: court systems. There will be no litigation. They can't foul charges.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Whatever Pharroh decides to do to them, it's done. So
- 4:07Speaker 1: as they are fleeing and they since Pharaoh coming, who
- 4:12Speaker 1: knows what is going to happen. So as you step
- 4:15Speaker 1: into this text, I want you to step into it
- 4:18Speaker 1: as them, and then it will be my responsibility to
- 4:23Speaker 1: make it relative to you. But you can't appreciate what
- 4:28Speaker 1: the text means until you go back to the utter
- 4:31Speaker 1: fear of leaving everything that is familiar and being on
- 4:36Speaker 1: the run, the vulnerability of not being protected, having neither
- 4:41Speaker 1: socio or economic power or political status or a voice
- 4:47Speaker 1: to fight back. And here comes a bigger force coming
- 4:51Speaker 1: against you than you've ever had on six hundred chosen chariots,
- 4:59Speaker 1: and you walking, you can hear the conference of the
- 5:09Speaker 1: chariots of your past about to overtake you. And they're
- 5:16Speaker 1: on a horseback, and you got on a pair of nikes.
- 5:22Speaker 1: That's what's going on in this text. Now put the
- 5:25Speaker 1: text on the screen. Let's take a look at it.
- 5:28Speaker 1: And God says, and I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and
- 5:31Speaker 1: he will pursue them, but I will gain glory for
- 5:35Speaker 1: myself through Pharroh and all his army, and the Egyptians
- 5:40Speaker 1: will know that I am the Lord. So the Israelites
- 5:45Speaker 1: did this. When the King of Egypt was told that
- 5:50Speaker 1: the people had fled, pharro and his officials changed their
- 5:53Speaker 1: minds about them and said, what have we done. We
- 5:57Speaker 1: have let the Israelites go and have lost them the services.
- 6:03Speaker 1: So he had his chariots mate ready and took his
- 6:05Speaker 1: army with him. He took six hundred of the best chariots,
- 6:12Speaker 1: along with all the other chariots of Egypt, with officers
- 6:17Speaker 1: over all of them. The Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh,
- 6:23Speaker 1: King of Egypt, the Lord wait Man, the Lord hardened
- 6:31Speaker 1: the heart of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, so that he
- 6:35Speaker 1: pursued the Israelites who were marching out boldly. The same
- 6:45Speaker 1: God who told them to go hardened the heart of
- 6:49Speaker 1: the one who's chasing them. The Egyptians, all Pharaoh's horses
- 6:57Speaker 1: and chariots, horsemen and troops pursued the Israelites and overtook
- 7:00Speaker 1: them as they can't by the sea of pie Old.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Let me try it, Hahrad of opposite beal Zaphon that
- 7:12Speaker 1: Harald was hard spentally on with a few hours of sleep.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Moses answered, the people, do not be afreid, stand firm,
- 7:27Speaker 1: and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring
- 7:30Speaker 1: you today. The Egyptians that you see today you will
- 7:40Speaker 1: never see again. Oh, I can stop right there. You
- 7:47Speaker 1: can go home right there. The Egyptians that you see today,
- 7:51Speaker 1: you will never see them again. Come on, the Lord
- 7:56Speaker 1: will fight for you. Watch it. You need only be stilled. Then,
- 8:03Speaker 1: the Lord said to Moses, why are you crying out
- 8:07Speaker 1: to me? Tell the Israelites. Tell the Israelites to move on,
- 8:21Speaker 1: Come on, give me the rest of it. Raise your
- 8:24Speaker 1: staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to
- 8:28Speaker 1: divide the water, so that the Israelites can go through
- 8:31Speaker 1: the sea on dry ground. I will harden the heart
- 8:36Speaker 1: of the Egyptians so that they will go in after them.
- 8:39Speaker 1: And I will gain glory through Phariaroh and all his army,
- 8:44Speaker 1: through his chariots and his horsemen. The Egyptians will know.
- 8:50Speaker 1: They will know that I am the Lord. When I
- 8:55Speaker 1: gain glory through Phiaoh, his chariots and his horsemen. Somebody say, Man,
- 9:05Speaker 1: I want to use for a subject, remain standing for
- 9:07Speaker 1: just a few more minutes. I want to use for
- 9:09Speaker 1: a subject. Keep it moving because the Lord said, tell
- 9:17Speaker 1: Israel to move on. But I'm scared. Lord move on,
- 9:28Speaker 1: but I don't know what's going to happen. Move on,
- 9:34Speaker 1: but I'm in danger. Lord move on, but I'm feeling vulnerable.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Lord move on. How do you keep it moving when
- 9:46Speaker 1: all hell is breaking loose in your life? How can
- 9:52Speaker 1: God set this situation up and put me if you
- 9:56Speaker 1: love me, how could you put me in a situation
- 9:59Speaker 1: like And you know I'm human, and you know I'm scared,
- 10:03Speaker 1: and yet you still say move on. Look at your
- 10:11Speaker 1: neighbor on your left and your right and say keep
- 10:13Speaker 1: it moving. I know the conditions are not everything that
- 10:21Speaker 1: you want them to be. I know all the circumstances
- 10:24Speaker 1: are not the way you would like for them to be.
- 10:27Speaker 1: I know that there are impending dangers that threaten your progress.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I know that you don't have the insurance of an outcome.
- 10:35Speaker 1: And when you don't have insurance, it is difficult to
- 10:38Speaker 1: have assurance. All you have is God's command in your life,
- 10:43Speaker 1: that God said, keep it moving. Let's pray about this,
- 10:47Speaker 1: and then we're going to talk about it. Father, in
- 10:49Speaker 1: the name of Jesus, we approach that throne of God,
- 10:52Speaker 1: and we honor you, and we bless your name because
- 10:54Speaker 1: you are God. If you don't do anything, we still
- 10:57Speaker 1: honor you, just because you are God. And besides you,
- 11:01Speaker 1: there is no other. Open up the volume of the
- 11:04Speaker 1: book and speak to us in such a way, Lord,
- 11:06Speaker 1: that we understand more clearly your word, the profundity of
- 11:10Speaker 1: your word, the relevance of your word, the power of
- 11:12Speaker 1: your word, but most importantly, the spirit of your word.
- 11:16Speaker 1: For what shall it prompt us to understand the letter
- 11:19Speaker 1: of your word and then fail to understand the spirit
- 11:23Speaker 1: and the intent in which it is derived. Speak out
- 11:26Speaker 1: of the volume of the book, Oh God, speak to
- 11:29Speaker 1: us in such a way that we will have strength
- 11:31Speaker 1: for the week. We call it done in Jesus' name,
- 11:36Speaker 1: somebody shall they man? All right, you can sit down.
- 11:40Speaker 1: You don't have to get up till tomorrow. So I'm
- 11:45Speaker 1: in the airport the other day and I ran into
- 11:49Speaker 1: a fellow clergyman, a pastor here in the city, and
- 11:52Speaker 1: we were exchanging pleasantries. How you doing, how I hire you,
- 11:55Speaker 1: so forth, and so on, and he said, I want
- 11:56Speaker 1: to ask you a question. I said, okay. He said,
- 11:59Speaker 1: how do you keep it fresh? He said, you always
- 12:04Speaker 1: seem excited, you always got a fresh word. You're always
- 12:06Speaker 1: going for it. He said, how do you keep it fresh?
- 12:09Speaker 1: And I kind of didn't exactly know how to answer
- 12:12Speaker 1: that because I hadn't really thought about it like that.
- 12:16Speaker 1: It's not like I was trying to be fresh. I'm afresh. Yeah,
- 12:28Speaker 1: It's not like I get up in the morning and
- 12:30Speaker 1: pray Lord help me to keep it fresh. And then
- 12:35Speaker 1: my daughter text me and she said, one of the
- 12:37Speaker 1: things that I admire about you is that you're never
- 12:41Speaker 1: afraid to be a sophomore again. You know. She has
- 12:46Speaker 1: a way of saying stuff that it just takes you
- 12:49Speaker 1: into deep thought. A sophomore again, that you're not afraid
- 12:52Speaker 1: to recreate yourself, that you're not afraid to be adventurous,
- 12:55Speaker 1: that you're not afraid to be back at one again,
- 12:57Speaker 1: like one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten,
- 13:01Speaker 1: eleven is one again on the next level, Twenty one
- 13:04Speaker 1: is one again on the next level, thirty one is
- 13:06Speaker 1: one again on the next level, forty one is one
- 13:09Speaker 1: again on the next level, fifty one is one again
- 13:11Speaker 1: on the next level, sixty one is one again on
- 13:14Speaker 1: the next level. And some people don't grow because they're
- 13:17Speaker 1: not willing to give up the ten to be one again.
- 13:25Speaker 1: And if you're not willing to give up the ten,
- 13:27Speaker 1: you'll stay where you are for the prestige of having
- 13:31Speaker 1: reached ten and not willing to go back to one again.
- 13:36Speaker 1: You fail to grow to what your capacity was meant
- 13:39Speaker 1: to be because you don't want to be a sophomore
- 13:42Speaker 1: once you've been a senior. You don't want to say
- 13:47Speaker 1: I don't know again. You don't want to do anything
- 13:50Speaker 1: that's out of your comfort zone again. You don't want
- 13:53Speaker 1: to go into the unfamiliar again. And you stop growing
- 13:58Speaker 1: because you stop going. In order to keep brewing, you
- 14:07Speaker 1: have to keep going, are you following what I'm saying?
- 14:12Speaker 1: And you cannot love the prestige of ten to the
- 14:16Speaker 1: degree that you failed to come to eleven. Eleven puts
- 14:21Speaker 1: you in a room with twenties. And some people can't
- 14:28Speaker 1: stand to be in a room with twenties once they
- 14:30Speaker 1: have reached ten. They'd rather be a big fish in
- 14:34Speaker 1: a small pond than to swim into a bigger stream
- 14:38Speaker 1: and be surrounded by whales and sharks and dolphins and
- 14:42Speaker 1: all that kind of stuff. They like image more than reality.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Speaking of fish, you know, I was reading this thing
- 14:51Speaker 1: about right now salmon, and they were talking about how
- 14:55Speaker 1: the polar bears are starving because we're eating up all
- 14:58Speaker 1: their food. Salmon has become so popular all over the
- 15:03Speaker 1: world that now when the polar bearris get ready to
- 15:05Speaker 1: fish for food and go eat, they can't eat the
- 15:08Speaker 1: salmon that they normally eat because it's on all of
- 15:11Speaker 1: our restaurant menus and it's all over the world. And
- 15:14Speaker 1: I don't mean to make you feel guilty if you're
- 15:16Speaker 1: eating salmon, because I know you're trying to lose weight
- 15:19Speaker 1: and all that kind of stuff. Yeah, I get it,
- 15:22Speaker 1: but we're eating up the polar bear's food, and they
- 15:24Speaker 1: were talking about salmon. But before salmon was so popular,
- 15:28Speaker 1: it used to be cod, and everybody was eating cod.
- 15:33Speaker 1: And cod was on the East coast. Don't worry. This
- 15:35Speaker 1: doesn't sound like I had nothing to do with it,
- 15:37Speaker 1: but it will in a minute. Cod was on the
- 15:40Speaker 1: East coast and people on the East Coast were all
- 15:42Speaker 1: eating cod. And back then, in order to get it
- 15:46Speaker 1: to the West coast, because the West Coast started wanting
- 15:48Speaker 1: dishes that were made from cod, they had to put
- 15:52Speaker 1: it on train, and it took a long time to
- 15:55Speaker 1: get it from the East Coast to the West coast.
- 15:58Speaker 1: So what they did they started putting the card on ice.
- 16:02Speaker 1: But by the time they got it to the West
- 16:04Speaker 1: Coast and tried to cook it, it had lost its
- 16:08Speaker 1: taste and its texture, and it wasn't fresh. So they said,
- 16:13Speaker 1: I tell you what we'll do. We won't put it
- 16:17Speaker 1: on ice. We'll leave them alive, and we'll put them
- 16:19Speaker 1: in big fish takes and we'll send them on the
- 16:23Speaker 1: train and they'll travel by train, and then when they
- 16:26Speaker 1: get them there, they'll be fresh. And they did that,
- 16:28Speaker 1: and when they got there and they got ready to
- 16:30Speaker 1: cook the cord, it still didn't taste right, and the
- 16:35Speaker 1: texture wasn't right. They couldn't find a way to ship
- 16:39Speaker 1: it and get it to be fresh. Now, I can
- 16:42Speaker 1: understand why it wasn't fresh once it was frozen, but
- 16:46Speaker 1: to be alive and not be fresh was confusing. Yeah,
- 16:56Speaker 1: I'm back. How can you be alive and not be fresh,
- 17:07Speaker 1: traveling and not be fresh, swimming and not be fresh?
- 17:11Speaker 1: Raising a family and not be fresh? Look fresh but
- 17:15Speaker 1: not be fresh, dress fresh but not be fresh, smile
- 17:19Speaker 1: fresh but not be fresh. When they tasted it, it
- 17:24Speaker 1: wasn't fresh. So in a last ditch effort to try
- 17:29Speaker 1: to fix the problem, they decided to put some catfish
- 17:32Speaker 1: in the tanpe. Now, catfish are natural predators to car
- 17:40Speaker 1: and putting a few catfish in the tanpe meant that
- 17:43Speaker 1: all the while they were traveling, the cord had to
- 17:45Speaker 1: be on the run, and when they finally got them
- 17:57Speaker 1: there this time now they were still fresh, because in
- 18:01Speaker 1: order for the cod to be fresh, it had to
- 18:04Speaker 1: be in an environment of catfish. The Lord knows exactly
- 18:10Speaker 1: what kind of catfish to put in your life to
- 18:15Speaker 1: keep you fresh. And even though fresh means being uncomfortable,
- 18:20Speaker 1: and even fresh means being on the run, and being
- 18:24Speaker 1: fresh means that you're being chased. I know you've been
- 18:31Speaker 1: praying for take with no catfish, but God uses the
- 18:38Speaker 1: catfish to keep you fresh. And if you think about it,
- 18:45Speaker 1: in your life, all your life, you've had something chasing you.
- 18:49Speaker 1: You don't really pray right until something is after you.
- 18:56Speaker 1: You don't really seek his face until something is out
- 19:00Speaker 1: to you, don't really call on his name until something
- 19:03Speaker 1: is out to you. You don't really reach your potential
- 19:06Speaker 1: of greatness until something is behind you saying you gotta
- 19:10Speaker 1: go all the way. You gotta finish that class, you
- 19:13Speaker 1: gotta graduate, you gotta get your degree, you gotta open
- 19:17Speaker 1: up that business. You gotta make this marriage work. You
- 19:20Speaker 1: gotta get this up together. It's not because you're always
- 19:23Speaker 1: so happy with things, but it's the dead dumb catfish.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Shake hand when somebody saying, what are your catfish? Yeah?
- 19:37Speaker 1: What are your What are your what are you? What
- 19:46Speaker 1: are your catfish? Pharaoh was Israel's catfish, and God heartened
- 20:01Speaker 1: his heart so that they could see his glory, and
- 20:10Speaker 1: he created the situation to put them in a predicament
- 20:15Speaker 1: that they couldn't get out of, so that they would
- 20:18Speaker 1: know that it's not by might nor by power, but
- 20:22Speaker 1: by my spirit, saith the Lord that brings you out
- 20:25Speaker 1: of every dungeon, every trap, every device that the enemy
- 20:30Speaker 1: comes up against you. If you didn't have opposition, if
- 20:34Speaker 1: you didn't have opposition, you would think you got there
- 20:36Speaker 1: by yourself. But thank God for the catfish that lets
- 20:40Speaker 1: you know. Can you imagine the utter terror of having
- 20:52Speaker 1: a two year old in one hand and a newborn
- 20:55Speaker 1: baby in your arms, and being a slave on the
- 21:01Speaker 1: run from a pharaoh who doesn't just come after you,
- 21:09Speaker 1: but he gets his best chariots. See, some of you
- 21:13Speaker 1: are crying out in distress, but you have to understand.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Other people look at you and say you're whining, but
- 21:21Speaker 1: they don't understand. You're not running from horses. You're running
- 21:24Speaker 1: from six hundred chosen chariots. Satan has shot his best
- 21:31Speaker 1: shot trying to take you down. And you're not in
- 21:34Speaker 1: trouble because you're weak. You're not in trouble because you're
- 21:37Speaker 1: not consistent. You're in trouble because the enemy has loosed
- 21:42Speaker 1: assassins to utterly annihligate you. And you are in a
- 21:53Speaker 1: fearful atmosphere and you're moving forward, but you're under attack.
- 22:00Speaker 1: The train is still rolling, but the catfish are still
- 22:04Speaker 1: nipping at you. You can you can see when you're
- 22:07Speaker 1: gaining ground, but you keep looking back because you know
- 22:10Speaker 1: that you got to keep moving because you got some
- 22:13Speaker 1: chasing you. Somebody in this room has got a devil
- 22:16Speaker 1: to fight. I know in the church that's not Some
- 22:20Speaker 1: people come because they got a nice dress to wear,
- 22:22Speaker 1: and some people come because they're looking for a girlfriend,
- 22:25Speaker 1: and some people come because they want to do business.
- 22:27Speaker 1: But some of us are here because of the catfish.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Some people are here because they're curious, but other people
- 22:39Speaker 1: are here because you've got catfish chasing you. And you're saying,
- 22:43Speaker 1: give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us
- 22:45Speaker 1: our trust fighters that we give those who tes to
- 22:47Speaker 1: lead us not into todays. And by the way, Lord,
- 22:50Speaker 1: please deliver us from me. These people are fleeing from oppression,
- 23:07Speaker 1: and they're going where they've never been to do something
- 23:11Speaker 1: that they have never done, with someone leading them that
- 23:15Speaker 1: they have never met. I've been here ten years. I
- 23:19Speaker 1: never shall kill hand. Most has been gone forty years.
- 23:25Speaker 1: It's not like he's been hanging out at Starbucks with
- 23:28Speaker 1: these people and they are up under his leadership, and
- 23:34Speaker 1: he has led them to a scary place. I would
- 23:39Speaker 1: like to submit for your consideration that you are not
- 23:42Speaker 1: living until you have been living in a scary place.
- 23:51Speaker 1: You don't know who you are until you've been in
- 23:53Speaker 1: a scary place. You don't know what God can do
- 23:57Speaker 1: until you've been in a scary place, what faith is
- 24:01Speaker 1: until you've been in a scary place. You don't know
- 24:04Speaker 1: how powerful your God is until you've been in a
- 24:06Speaker 1: scary place. Other up until it is just religion and
- 24:10Speaker 1: doctrine and theology, and it's the women Sunday and the
- 24:14Speaker 1: man Sunday and the cat fry Sunday. But when you're
- 24:17Speaker 1: in a scary place, it changes what church feels like
- 24:22Speaker 1: to you. Because of the catfish, which brings me to
- 24:33Speaker 1: this whole fear did they had? And what's funny, here's
- 24:43Speaker 1: the cohabitation of faith and fear. They had enough faith
- 24:50Speaker 1: to go, so we can't say they didn't have faith.
- 24:53Speaker 1: They packed up everything they had and left in the
- 24:56Speaker 1: building of the Knights and the dictates of the whole
- 25:00Speaker 1: Spirit to go someplace they'd never been. That took faith.
- 25:05Speaker 1: It took faith to go, and God brought them out
- 25:09Speaker 1: the death Angel had passed through that night, and the
- 25:12Speaker 1: Bible says that every house that didn't have blood on it,
- 25:15Speaker 1: the death Angel had stepped in and taken a son
- 25:18Speaker 1: out of the house of son out of the house.
- 25:20Speaker 1: That's quite an offering. I might give you a chicken
- 25:23Speaker 1: or something. But they had the faith to believe God
- 25:29Speaker 1: to go, and they were doing real good until they
- 25:34Speaker 1: ran into the fear factory. In President Obama's book The
- 25:42Speaker 1: Audacity of Hope, he wrote a line that stays with
- 25:46Speaker 1: me all the time. The presence of faith is not
- 25:50Speaker 1: the absence of doubt. You have to think about that
- 25:55Speaker 1: a man. The presence of faith is not the absence
- 26:00Speaker 1: of doubt. That doubt and faith can live in the
- 26:05Speaker 1: same space. I believe you, but I'm worried. I trust you,
- 26:13Speaker 1: but I'm nervous. I know it's gonna be all right,
- 26:16Speaker 1: but I'm still up at two o'clock in the morning. Now,
- 26:20Speaker 1: this message is for the real people. Church people are
- 26:25Speaker 1: not going to own up to the fact that there
- 26:27Speaker 1: are some things that can happen to you. I don't
- 26:30Speaker 1: care how many scriptures you know. I don't care how
- 26:32Speaker 1: long you've been in church. I don't care if you
- 26:34Speaker 1: can quote the entire New Testament. There are some things
- 26:38Speaker 1: that can happen in your life that makes your heart
- 26:40Speaker 1: start beating in your chest until it looks like your
- 26:43Speaker 1: dress is jumping, and you do like Peter, and you say,
- 26:50Speaker 1: tear us our lot that we perish. We like to
- 26:57Speaker 1: think that people are good or evil, and right wrong
- 27:00Speaker 1: or up and down. The believers are unbelievers. But the
- 27:03Speaker 1: truth of the matter is believers have doubt and they
- 27:14Speaker 1: get scared sometime. Maybe we're not supposed to. But when
- 27:21Speaker 1: you hear the hoof prints of something that you dreaded,
- 27:27Speaker 1: that you had had four hundred years of trauma with
- 27:32Speaker 1: and you finally thought you got away, and all of
- 27:36Speaker 1: a sudden you hear the hoof prints of something trying
- 27:39Speaker 1: to overtake you that you have dedicated and risked everything
- 27:43Speaker 1: in your life to escape. It's hard to be cool
- 27:47Speaker 1: and scared. You can look cool. SA are some people
- 27:54Speaker 1: that can look like nothing bothers them, and you say, Lord,
- 27:59Speaker 1: I wish I was more like them. Stop praying prayers
- 28:01Speaker 1: where you wish you were more like people, because you
- 28:04Speaker 1: can't tell what's going on inside of me by looking
- 28:08Speaker 1: at my face. The truth of the matter is I
- 28:12Speaker 1: can look cool and still be frightened out of my wits.
- 28:19Speaker 1: Fairoh had absolute power. He had no Congress, he had
- 28:23Speaker 1: no sin, he had no Supreme Court, he had nobody
- 28:26Speaker 1: to check him. He could kill him. And absolute power
- 28:34Speaker 1: produces absolute terror. If I know I'm totally at your
- 28:40Speaker 1: mercy and I don't know how things are going to
- 28:42Speaker 1: end up, it's terrifying. I want to speak to your worry.
- 28:49Speaker 1: I want to speak to your fear. I want to
- 28:51Speaker 1: speak to your anxiety. I want to speak to the
- 28:54Speaker 1: thing that speaks to you when church is over. I
- 29:03Speaker 1: want to speak to the thing that's got you up
- 29:06Speaker 1: at two o'clock in the morning. I want to speak
- 29:09Speaker 1: to you about the thing that you can't speak to
- 29:11Speaker 1: other people about because it's too personal and it's too scary,
- 29:16Speaker 1: and it's too dangerous and you don't even want to
- 29:18Speaker 1: talk about it. But it's chasing you around your tank,
- 29:22Speaker 1: it's chasing you around your tak fear. I'm talking about
- 29:29Speaker 1: real fear. I was in South Africa. I'm gonna get
- 29:34Speaker 1: back to it in a minute. I'm gonna talk to you.
- 29:35Speaker 1: I was in South Africa and one of the brothers
- 29:37Speaker 1: that was in South Africa. It's scared of monkeys. And
- 29:41Speaker 1: the monkeys are all over the place in South Africa,
- 29:43Speaker 1: you know, So if you're eating breakfast out on the
- 29:45Speaker 1: terrace or something like that, the monkey is waiting on
- 29:47Speaker 1: you to move because they will come in and take
- 29:52Speaker 1: your role. While before you can put butter on it,
- 29:54Speaker 1: they'll come in and take your role and laugh at you.
- 29:57Speaker 1: I thought the monkeys was cute. He was having a
- 30:00Speaker 1: spasm and he said, I'm scared of monkey's. It didn't
- 30:07Speaker 1: really bother me like that because I figured I'm bigger
- 30:10Speaker 1: than the monkey, and if it came down to it
- 30:13Speaker 1: and we had to knuckle. I know it might not
- 30:19Speaker 1: be Christian, but I will fight a monkey, especially if
- 30:24Speaker 1: I'm hungry. I will flat out punch a monkey or
- 30:29Speaker 1: down on the rights con gred here, pray for my
- 30:32Speaker 1: strength of the Lord. If you're not paying for that breakfast,
- 30:39Speaker 1: put my role down. That's where I was about it.
- 30:44Speaker 1: I would just you know, y'all would have been reading
- 30:47Speaker 1: about me in the South African Telegram where you're pastor
- 30:52Speaker 1: punch down a monkey over a road. So I wasn't
- 30:57Speaker 1: scared of the monkey. I thought they were cute, but
- 31:06Speaker 1: I am scared of some things. And just because I'm
- 31:09Speaker 1: not scared of what you're scared of doesn't mean that
- 31:13Speaker 1: your fear is not real, because everybody's scared of something.
- 31:18Speaker 1: I look like a hero in that moment, I said
- 31:21Speaker 1: I'll protect you. I saided that the monkey wasn't but
- 31:25Speaker 1: that be you know, it wasn't like it was a
- 31:28Speaker 1: gorilla or nothing like that. That would have changed I
- 31:31Speaker 1: would have took this out of the sermon. I wouldn't
- 31:33Speaker 1: even Fear does stuff to the body. Living under constant fear.
- 31:46Speaker 1: Though it is an emotion, it actually takes toll on
- 31:51Speaker 1: the body. It affects your physical health. It even weakens
- 31:57Speaker 1: your immune system, affects your digestive tract, does damage to
- 32:03Speaker 1: you cardiovascular system. Fear does stuff that doctors can detect
- 32:10Speaker 1: in the body that you have no reason to be sick,
- 32:13Speaker 1: and yet your body is responding to something that the
- 32:16Speaker 1: doctor cannot detect. They're just seeing the effects of fear
- 32:21Speaker 1: on the body. Ear to bile syndrome, all kinds of
- 32:23Speaker 1: stuff happening to you. Decrease fertility because you're a fread
- 32:27Speaker 1: because your body is taking all of your blood and
- 32:30Speaker 1: directing it toward fight or flight, increasing your sight so
- 32:36Speaker 1: you can see, and your legs so you can run.
- 32:39Speaker 1: The blood that normally feeds your body and your functions
- 32:43Speaker 1: is fleeing because you are in fight or flight mode.
- 32:52Speaker 1: So fear takes a toll on you, because our primal
- 32:56Speaker 1: instinct is to flee or fight. But fear doesn't just
- 33:03Speaker 1: take a toll on your body. It also takes a
- 33:06Speaker 1: toll on your mind. They call it a Mignala hijack.
- 33:12Speaker 1: It affects your mind, It hijacks everything. Your brain perceives
- 33:17Speaker 1: everything differently when you're Fred. You can't trust your judgment.
- 33:24Speaker 1: When you're Fred, you see everything that's negative. When you're
- 33:28Speaker 1: a Fred, it affects. It affects everything about your decisions.
- 33:34Speaker 1: When you're Fred, we used to call it paranoia. You're
- 33:38Speaker 1: just paranoid. Is there anybody in here that's evering? Just
- 33:42Speaker 1: been paranoid? The bone rings in your jumps, or you
- 33:47Speaker 1: just feel like something is about to happen. My wife
- 33:49Speaker 1: describes it as if feeling like a balloon is about
- 33:53Speaker 1: is full of water, It is about to bust up
- 33:55Speaker 1: under over your head, and you don't know who's got
- 33:58Speaker 1: the pen Anxiety It affects everything and if you're up
- 34:07Speaker 1: under it long enough, it causes the brain now hijack
- 34:13Speaker 1: to remember certain things like how something smelt or sight
- 34:20Speaker 1: or sound will take you right back to that spot,
- 34:25Speaker 1: so you end up with post traumatic stress disorder. It's over,
- 34:29Speaker 1: but it's not over for you, and there are triggers
- 34:34Speaker 1: that can take you right back to that space, and
- 34:36Speaker 1: you will react off a trigger though the problem is gone.
- 34:45Speaker 1: I want you to think about that, because I think
- 34:47Speaker 1: what I'm teaching right now has destroyed more marriages and
- 34:51Speaker 1: more ministries than anything we could talk about. It's not
- 34:54Speaker 1: what's going on, it's that what is going on is
- 34:57Speaker 1: triggered something that went on. Nobody ever got the story
- 35:04Speaker 1: by hoofbeats, but the sound of the hoofbeats is a
- 35:10Speaker 1: trigger and reminds him of the abuse of four hundred years.
- 35:20Speaker 1: And Pharaoh has actually hurt nobody, but they heard him
- 35:24Speaker 1: coming and they were struck with terror. You have to
- 35:28Speaker 1: be careful. We were singing a minute ago. The devil
- 35:31Speaker 1: is a liar, and he is, but the lie can
- 35:34Speaker 1: be a trigger. And when he brings up what could happen,
- 35:39Speaker 1: and you remember something that did happen, it's almost as
- 35:42Speaker 1: if he is happening. Oh, and all of a sudden,
- 35:49Speaker 1: you overreact in the situation, and people who haven't been
- 35:53Speaker 1: through what you've been through don't understand why you are
- 35:56Speaker 1: flipping out over this situation. But it's a trigger and
- 36:06Speaker 1: you're horrified. And it doesn't always have to be a
- 36:11Speaker 1: horse coming. It can be a heartbreak, it can be
- 36:17Speaker 1: a disappointment, it can be a lost job, it can
- 36:22Speaker 1: be a lost opportunity. And all of a sudden, instead
- 36:26Speaker 1: of being rational and saying, well, I have to find
- 36:28Speaker 1: me another job, you want to kill yourself. Oh God,
- 36:32Speaker 1: my life is over. I'm cursed. Nothing goes right. You're
- 36:34Speaker 1: your do not that, and you just fagle them out
- 36:41Speaker 1: and play. You all hadn't even touched you. You just
- 36:46Speaker 1: heard hook friends and your life, your joy, your peace,
- 36:53Speaker 1: amigdala has hijacked the opportunity. You have to be happy
- 36:58Speaker 1: right now because it keeps dragging your back into something
- 37:02Speaker 1: that you are actually out of. Oh, y'all, y'all miss that.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Y'all miss that. See, the end of the Bible said
- 37:12Speaker 1: the enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy, and one
- 37:16Speaker 1: of the things he will do is still the piece
- 37:19Speaker 1: of where you are with the threat of where you've been,
- 37:23Speaker 1: And all of a sudden, when you hear the hook
- 37:25Speaker 1: prints coming, it's not like he got you, but it
- 37:28Speaker 1: reminds you that he used to have you, And all
- 37:30Speaker 1: of a sudden he said, if you're already dead, it's true.
- 37:36Speaker 1: Now they're cursing where they're at and wishing for where
- 37:40Speaker 1: they've been, and said, why didn't you leave us in Egypt?
- 37:47Speaker 1: Why didn't you leave us where we just got through
- 37:50Speaker 1: praying to get out of because if you're not careful,
- 37:55Speaker 1: fear will cause you to be stuck at tin rather
- 37:59Speaker 1: than risk going to eleven. Oh God, who am I
- 38:02Speaker 1: talking to? I'm talking to somebody. I don't know who
- 38:04Speaker 1: I'm talking to. Somebody's getting ready to step into the
- 38:08Speaker 1: next dimension. And God is getting you ready for something,
- 38:11Speaker 1: and he needed you to hear dismissus. Nurse. They might say,
- 38:22Speaker 1: don't get stuck because fear can paralyze you. Fear can
- 38:29Speaker 1: shut you down, fear can immobilize you, fear can make
- 38:32Speaker 1: you run everybody away, even people who were gonna help you.
- 38:36Speaker 1: But the fear that you might get hurt again. I
- 38:39Speaker 1: just get out, Just get I tell stuff and get
- 38:41Speaker 1: out of here, just like my Daddy, God, get out.
- 38:46Speaker 1: I'm not going through this again. I am ready. And
- 38:51Speaker 1: fear can make you drive away people who are trying
- 38:53Speaker 1: to help you, And so now the Israelites are mine
- 38:59Speaker 1: and more this because your perception of who's with you
- 39:06Speaker 1: and who's against you can be disrupted by fear. Fear rejection,
- 39:20Speaker 1: fear of disappointment, fear of failure can make you not try.
- 39:28Speaker 1: Fear of fauling can make you not climb, feel of
- 39:32Speaker 1: being fear being defeated can make you not fight. There
- 39:36Speaker 1: are a lot of you. You're not as passive as
- 39:39Speaker 1: everybody thinks you are, and you're not as apathetical as
- 39:42Speaker 1: they define you to be. It's just that you're afraid
- 39:46Speaker 1: you fall. So maybe I shouldn't climb. If I don't climb,
- 39:54Speaker 1: it don't fall. If I don't go, I won't have
- 39:57Speaker 1: to go back. If I'm a slow, I wouldn't have
- 40:00Speaker 1: to deal with this. Take me back. And all of
- 40:04Speaker 1: a sudden, the sights, the sounds, the smells become triggers
- 40:09Speaker 1: that make us forfeit what God has in front of us.
- 40:16Speaker 1: And yet, in spite of all of this, in spite
- 40:18Speaker 1: of what fear has done to the mind, in spite
- 40:20Speaker 1: of what fear does to the body, In spite of
- 40:23Speaker 1: all of these circumstances, the Bible says that God is
- 40:28Speaker 1: going to get some glory out of this. Now, I
- 40:37Speaker 1: want you to say that with me. God is going
- 40:39Speaker 1: to get some glory out of this. It's about to say, here,
- 40:46Speaker 1: let's do it again. God is going to get some
- 40:49Speaker 1: glory out of this. I want you to think about
- 40:52Speaker 1: whatever your this is, whatever your catfish are, whatever your
- 40:56Speaker 1: favor oh he is, whatever that thing that kept you
- 40:59Speaker 1: up at night said again, God is gonna get some
- 41:03Speaker 1: glory out of there. Now, get in thirty seconds a
- 41:06Speaker 1: crazy praise. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah
- 41:23Speaker 1: yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah, yes, yes, yes,
- 41:39Speaker 1: yes yes. See the reason I got your praising him.
- 41:49Speaker 1: I'm trying to break that paralysis. I'm trying to break
- 41:53Speaker 1: that paralysis that's got you stuck in the same spot.
- 41:57Speaker 1: Buffer and buffer and buffer and buffer and buffering, worrying,
- 42:01Speaker 1: worry and worrying, upset, upset, upset, Moon swings, moon swings,
- 42:06Speaker 1: moonsweg If you're praising, you'll break that paralysis. I'm gonna
- 42:26Speaker 1: praise until I get my family back. I'm gonna praise
- 42:29Speaker 1: until I get my courage back. I'm appraising until I
- 42:32Speaker 1: get my strengths back. I'm appraising until I get my
- 42:36Speaker 1: fight back. I'm gonna praise them until I get a
- 42:38Speaker 1: sense of direction back. I'm a praising until I get
- 42:41Speaker 1: up off the floor. I'm gonna pay until I stand
- 42:44Speaker 1: up and start walking somebody I've been praising. That's three
- 43:03Speaker 1: people that are being blessed around you. I say, keep
- 43:05Speaker 1: it moving, keep it moving, keep it moving, keep moving,
- 43:08Speaker 1: keep it moving, keep it moving. When you don't know
- 43:29Speaker 1: what to do, when you don't know where to go,
- 43:36Speaker 1: when you're worried about what might happen, when the enemy
- 43:41Speaker 1: is strutting your feel hilpl when your past has trying
- 43:45Speaker 1: to overtake you. Oh my God, I feel you preaching
- 43:50Speaker 1: to me. That's more than I feel you preaching to me.
- 43:52Speaker 1: That's boy. I don't know whether I'm preaching to you
- 43:55Speaker 1: or you're preaching to me, or maybe we're irony sharpening
- 43:59Speaker 1: eye and he serventing God. He is serving. Oh so
- 44:18Speaker 1: Moses and said, I'm just talking to I'll tell you
- 44:20Speaker 1: didn't have to get up the more Moses. Moses is
- 44:32Speaker 1: talking to God, because sometimes you don't have nobody else
- 44:35Speaker 1: to talk to. He can't talk to Pharaoh is chasing him,
- 44:44Speaker 1: and he can't talk to Israel because I'm mad at him.
- 44:51Speaker 1: And sometimes in the fearful place, the worst part of
- 44:57Speaker 1: the fear is that there's nobody to talk too. And
- 45:04Speaker 1: maybe I wouldn't be so afraid if I could just
- 45:08Speaker 1: talk about it. And Moses has nobody to talk to,
- 45:18Speaker 1: so he cries out to God. The best prayer meetings
- 45:25Speaker 1: come out of the worst situations. You don't have a
- 45:30Speaker 1: great prayer meeting because it's Wednesday. You have a great
- 45:34Speaker 1: prayer meeting because all hell is breaking loose. You have
- 45:37Speaker 1: a great prayer meeting because the catfish are in your tag.
- 45:41Speaker 1: You have a great prayer meeting because flavor is after
- 45:43Speaker 1: your eye end. It will make you different. I know,
- 45:46Speaker 1: all you are conservative and you're quiet, and you're just
- 45:49Speaker 1: not that kind of pension, and you know, but if
- 45:51Speaker 1: you get in enough trouble, if you get enough trouble
- 45:55Speaker 1: going out to you, trouble will make you act like
- 45:57Speaker 1: you've come across thore, whether you are or not. You
- 46:00Speaker 1: don't have you running around your house talking in tongs.
- 46:04Speaker 1: And I said, I wish I had a weakness in
- 46:09Speaker 1: this place, and Mama is looking up to God like
- 46:25Speaker 1: I didn't sign up for this. Have you ever told God?
- 46:29Speaker 1: I didn't sign up for this. I didn't ask for
- 46:35Speaker 1: this stuff that's happening in my life right now. You
- 46:42Speaker 1: didn't tell me I was gonna get this school, my
- 46:44Speaker 1: parents were gonna get a divorce. I didn't sign up
- 46:46Speaker 1: for this. You didn't tell me my husband was gonna
- 46:50Speaker 1: cheat on me. I didn't sign up for this. You
- 46:54Speaker 1: didn't tell me my baby was gonna be born deformed.
- 47:03Speaker 1: What do you do when you find yourself in something
- 47:05Speaker 1: that you didn't sign up for because you know something
- 47:09Speaker 1: I found out about God. God is weak on details.
- 47:19Speaker 1: He don't tell you all the details. Just go down
- 47:22Speaker 1: that and tell Pharaoh to let my people go. He
- 47:28Speaker 1: didn't mention he gonna try to kill you when you
- 47:30Speaker 1: do it. This little details kind of help a brother out.
- 47:35Speaker 1: I would kind of like to know if you're gonna
- 47:38Speaker 1: sign six hundred hit men to come kill me before
- 47:42Speaker 1: I get started. I didn't sign up for this, and
- 47:57Speaker 1: he looks up to God. What am I supposed to do?
- 48:02Speaker 1: The people you send me to help, they don't even
- 48:05Speaker 1: like me. The people I'm trying to help. Don't like me.
- 48:15Speaker 1: My own child, don't like me, my mama, don't like me,
- 48:19Speaker 1: my dad. The people who are supposed to be on
- 48:22Speaker 1: my team, I said, I said, I don't mind having
- 48:26Speaker 1: to fight the devils, but the people they don't. Oh,
- 48:31Speaker 1: y'all ain't ready for me. I'm thought y'all wanted me
- 48:34Speaker 1: to come home. What do you do when the bad
- 48:38Speaker 1: people that you're trying to help don't even appreciate you.
- 48:46Speaker 1: I don't mind fighting my enemis, but I didn't expant
- 48:49Speaker 1: to have to fight you too. And then God says
- 49:03Speaker 1: it's strange send him. He calls on God to help,
- 49:09Speaker 1: and God does absolutely nothing. Now, preachers don't preach about that.
- 49:18Speaker 1: They preached thes sermons where you called on the Lord
- 49:22Speaker 1: and the Lord moved. I don't really need you to
- 49:26Speaker 1: tell me what to do when I call on the
- 49:28Speaker 1: Lord and the Lord moves. I need somebody to tell
- 49:32Speaker 1: me what to do when I call on the Lord.
- 49:41Speaker 1: I want to take series on vacts. What do you
- 49:48Speaker 1: know when you asked him to heal that he doesn't,
- 49:53Speaker 1: and you're asking for prosperity and they take your call.
- 50:00Speaker 1: What do you do when things aren't turning out the
- 50:03Speaker 1: way you had in mind. I'll tell you what you do.
- 50:10Speaker 1: Keep it moving. Oh, y'all, don't hear what I'm saying.
- 50:18Speaker 1: You don't hear the power of what I'm saying. You
- 50:22Speaker 1: don't understand that some of the release of the power
- 50:25Speaker 1: of God can only be released if you Yeah, if
- 50:31Speaker 1: you don't keep it moving, it's not going to work.
- 50:34Speaker 1: The enemy is trying to shut you down and leave
- 50:37Speaker 1: you paraly. But the Lord said, I don't care what
- 50:41Speaker 1: triggers you here. I don't care what sound you had.
- 50:59Speaker 1: So God says to Moses, tell the people to keep
- 51:02Speaker 1: it moving. And God said to me to tell you
- 51:17Speaker 1: keep it moving. I know you're stared, but keep it moving.
- 51:22Speaker 1: I know the enemy is playing your triggers, but keep
- 51:26Speaker 1: it moving. I know you don't know the outcome of
- 51:29Speaker 1: this situation, but keep it moving. I know you wish
- 51:33Speaker 1: I would clear the tank all the catfish, but keep
- 51:37Speaker 1: it moving. I'm God, and I know what you need,
- 51:40Speaker 1: and I know what it takes to keep you fresh,
- 51:44Speaker 1: and I know what it takes to get the glory
- 51:46Speaker 1: out of your life. And it's my job to be God,
- 51:50Speaker 1: and it's your job. I made it all the way.
- 52:09Speaker 1: I started preaching when I was nineteen, and they said
- 52:12Speaker 1: it wouldn't last two weeks, and I made it all
- 52:16Speaker 1: the way to sixty two. I'm chasing you. I ain't
- 52:25Speaker 1: got there yet, but I'm on your hills, buddy. I'm
- 52:28Speaker 1: coming out to you because you can't go ahead if
- 52:32Speaker 1: you don't keep it moving. So I kept it moving
- 52:37Speaker 1: when I was broke, and I kept it moving when
- 52:42Speaker 1: I had some money, and I kept it moving when
- 52:45Speaker 1: things were going right, and I kept it moving when
- 52:48Speaker 1: things were going bad. And I kept it moving when
- 52:51Speaker 1: I had the faith, and I kept it moving when
- 52:53Speaker 1: I was scared out of my mind to all of it,
- 52:56Speaker 1: I just I know you scared, but keep it moving,
- 53:00Speaker 1: keep it moving. What I got planning will only work
- 53:03Speaker 1: if you see I got I got something set up
- 53:08Speaker 1: down the road that's gonna fix this whole problem. But
- 53:12Speaker 1: you've got to be in the right place in order
- 53:15Speaker 1: for my plan to activate. If you stop right here,
- 53:19Speaker 1: I can't get no glory out of your life. But
- 53:22Speaker 1: if you just keep it moving right down the road,
- 53:26Speaker 1: I gotta set up for everything that's trying to attack
- 53:30Speaker 1: you right now, or I'm reaching too. You see what
- 53:46Speaker 1: I'm trying to get you to understand, is that if
- 53:48Speaker 1: they would have stopped right there, Pharaoh would have overtook him,
- 53:54Speaker 1: he would have destroyed him. The miracle was in the movement.
- 54:02Speaker 1: The miracle was in the movements. The miracle was in
- 54:08Speaker 1: the movements. The miracle was in the movement. The miracle
- 54:13Speaker 1: is in the movement. And there's somebody this morning that
- 54:16Speaker 1: the enemy is trying to paralyze you with fear, and
- 54:20Speaker 1: he's causing all your triggers to go off. And the
- 54:23Speaker 1: Lord said, if you just keep it moving, you're gonna
- 54:26Speaker 1: walk right into the power of God. And God's gonna
- 54:30Speaker 1: get the glory. See, we always preach about what happened
- 54:37Speaker 1: in the Red Sea, but you got to get to
- 54:40Speaker 1: the Red Sea in order for that to happen. And
- 54:43Speaker 1: the enemy doesn't even want you to make it to
- 54:47Speaker 1: the Red Sea. Another thing, the other reason God didn't
- 55:00Speaker 1: say anything is that he wanted Moses to discover what
- 55:05Speaker 1: was in his hand. God didn't need to do anything
- 55:18Speaker 1: else because he had already equipped Moses for where he
- 55:24Speaker 1: was at this stage in his life. And I don't
- 55:27Speaker 1: know who I'm preaching to, but God has already equipped
- 55:31Speaker 1: you and his grace is sufficient. Somebody talked to me
- 55:40Speaker 1: this morning, his grace. I know it's painful, but his
- 55:46Speaker 1: grace is sufficient. I know you're crying all night, Lord,
- 55:50Speaker 1: but his grace is sufficient. I already put enough stuff
- 55:59Speaker 1: in your hand that if you learn to use what
- 56:05Speaker 1: I gave you, no weapon formed against you, she'll be
- 56:15Speaker 1: able to profer. In fact, I set this up so
- 56:19Speaker 1: you could see what you got. I hurtened his heart
- 56:27Speaker 1: so you could see what you've got. I made him
- 56:30Speaker 1: chase you so you could see what you've got. I
- 56:34Speaker 1: sent him out to you so you would stay trash.
- 56:44Speaker 1: What I'm trying to say is that Fah is your catch.
- 56:46Speaker 1: This and God put him in the tape. The devil
- 56:58Speaker 1: didn't put him in the tape. The Bible doesn't say
- 57:01Speaker 1: that the devil said Fah. It said the Lord hardened
- 57:07Speaker 1: Pharaoh's heart. You'll never know what you got until God
- 57:17Speaker 1: puts catfish in your tail. You'll never know what you
- 57:21Speaker 1: got until Pharaoh comes after you. And everything in your
- 57:28Speaker 1: head told you. You don't think right when you're scared, says,
- 57:31Speaker 1: go back to something that you're trying to get out of,
- 57:38Speaker 1: because it don't seem like this church thing is working.
- 57:48Speaker 1: This Jesus thing ain't working out for me right now.
- 57:54Speaker 1: I lost my house, had to move back here with
- 57:55Speaker 1: my mama. This is Jesus thing. It don't see. This
- 57:58Speaker 1: tithing thing, it ain't It ain't working for me, This
- 58:01Speaker 1: praying thing, this living for Jesus stuff. My husband left
- 58:13Speaker 1: me because I was living for Jesus. It seemed like
- 58:20Speaker 1: the people in the world were nicer than the people.
- 58:33Speaker 1: And so all God says to Moses is to tell
- 58:37Speaker 1: the people to keep it moving and use what you got.
- 58:47Speaker 1: If you use what I gave you, you will find
- 58:51Speaker 1: that it is more than what you thought. You thought.
- 59:00Speaker 1: I gave you this stick so when you got tired,
- 59:02Speaker 1: you could lean on it. But there are tricks in
- 59:07Speaker 1: your stick. Surprise, surprise, surprise, surprise, surprise, surprise. I distis
- 59:27Speaker 1: my power in ordinary things, so that in the time
- 59:31Speaker 1: of trouble, the enemy won't even know what hit him.
- 59:36Speaker 1: But if you stretch forth, whatso I touch of neighbors,
- 59:43Speaker 1: say I got something. I know it don't look like much,
- 59:47Speaker 1: but I got something. I know it don't look dangerous,
- 59:50Speaker 1: but I got something. If you won't te up your chariots,
- 59:54Speaker 1: at least let me brag about my stick. I got
- 59:58Speaker 1: something that God gave me. Will I'll last all of
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: your slap your neighbors say, there's tricks in your stick.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: Don't give it up, don't throw it away, don't tost
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: it aside, don't count it out, don't give it up
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: as trivial, because God will put tricks in your stick.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: If it would have looked like a weapon, the enemy
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: would have took it. But God, will I not fulfil.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: I preach it over there God. I started reading the Bible,
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: and almost every miracle in the Bible came out of
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: something that they already had a handful of meal, a
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: pot of oil, two fish and five loads of bread,
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: a rag and a rock. How let Louyah to gum,
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: How let Louyah to goup, Louyah to coll You're not
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: in this thing by yourself. You're not in it by yourself.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: In fact, it is Pharalh chasing you that activates the
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: tricks in your stick. Now keep it moving, and when
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: you get to the right spot, stretch out what I
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: gave you. And the Bible said that when Moses stretched
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: out is wrong, that the rat sea got up and
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: started walking hither and thither to quote it exactly. God
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: said a strong wind to blow back the Rat Sea
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: so the children of Israel could walk false. And not
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: only did he let him go through it, he didn't
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: even let him get muddy. The bibe a sign that
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: they walked through. Oh dry rap. Whoever I'm preaching to,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: I said, you're gonna go through it. Drive drive They're
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: a dry drive way, and you would never in trouble anyway,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: because if you read the text. The closer they got
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: to the Red Sea, the Bible says that God said
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: an angel to get behind them, so fair all couldn't
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: have gotten them anyway, because God's already got you coming
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: slap your neighbor's side, got back up. I'm not hit
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: it by myself. I'm not fighting by myself. I'm not
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: living it by myself. I'm not preaching it by myself.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: So my brothers and my sisters, Father's house family, when
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: the winds came and blew back the Red Sea, and
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: they stepped down into the seabed, walking on dry ground.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: They were walking in between two walls of water. Now
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: picture that with me. God has made away. But even
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: the way he made it's cheering because I got my
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: baby in this water. I got my mama in this water.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: I got my grandmama in this water. I got my
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: children in this water. And then the wall on this side,
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: and there's the wall on that side. And if they
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: crash it, they're gonna kill me. So whatever be time,
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: I gotta keep it moving. Slap your neighbor and say,
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: keep it moving. This is what I want you to
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: see it. I'm almost finishing. Even when God makes a way,
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: it's scary. Even when God performs a miracle. The miracle
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: is now when we read about it and we preach
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: about it, we shout about it. But if you were
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: walking through with your children through two walls of water
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: so high you can't see over them, and you don't
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: see nothing holding it up, but you're making it. I
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: want to talk to somebody that's going through something right now.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: You don't see nothing holding it up, and your finances
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: don't work out on paper. It don't make no sense
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: that you're still here, but something is holding it up.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: No wow. And the Lord told Moses, tell the people
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: keep it moving. And the wind held up the water
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: to the last Israelite had crossed over. Later in the
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: New Testament, Paul when he preaches in Corinth, would call
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: it baptism. Said they were baptized on to Moses in
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: the cloud and in the sea. That means they went
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: in one way and they came out another. They stepped
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: in slaves, but they came out sons. They stepped in
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: as runaways, but they came out as a nation. You,
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: who were not a people, became a people. And then
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: he says to Moses, close it up, and the same rod.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: This is the dual nature of God. The same God
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: that opens doors closes doors. The funny thing about it
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: was when he opened the way, they didn't shout. See,
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: we always shout when God makes the way, but the
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: Bible said that they didn't shout until God shut the door.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: I need to take a moment and thank him for
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: the doors he shut. Yeah, yeah, yes, yes, I want
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: to think it. For the doors he shut, for the
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: job I didn't get, for the business that didn't want out,
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: for the girl I didn't marry it. Thank you Lord
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: for the door you shut. If I'd have got it,
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: it would have killed me. Thank you Lord for shut shut, shut,
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: shut the door. When God shut the door, the enemy
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: that was chasing them drown in the Red Sea. But
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: not only did he drown the enemy, he drowned any
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: potential the enemy had to pursue them any further. So
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: the Bible say, the enemies that you see today, you
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: shall see them. Y'all know him, y'all know him, y'all
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: know him. That's some stuff you had to fight with.
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: The God sat you s see them. No more? Tell
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: you a crazy no, I'm dying you a moon. I
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: want you to move. I look where you are. And
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: some seven people that say, no more, no more, no more,
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: no more, bo no more see the moment. No more
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: you su seeing no more the so fighting no more,
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: you shall having no more? Said they come home, go
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: scuse me, take me to church. I really kind of think,
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: abide no more, no more, no more, no more, no more.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: So Mariam driving the tamarine, I begin to beat that
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: thing to the glorioum cop for favor. Had his armies
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: got drowned in the Red sea. Somebody puts your hats
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: together and just God space no more, no more, no more.
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: Get it in your spirit, get it in your mind,
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: get it in your mouth, get it in your heart.
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: No more. I tell you, if the enemy has been
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: out to you and you've been up under attack. I
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: tell you to take just a minute and thank God
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: like he's drowning it in the red seat. I dare
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: you to drown to him in a phrase and tell
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: the devil doot no, no, no, no whoop. Give him
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: a place, I said, give him a place if you
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: know how to place, just how to place? Say a
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: price abies abid jip a lot of place you go?
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: How do the blank you today? Do you give me
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: a sing? No more? I hear the sound of victory
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: in the house. Some people think that praising God like
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: that is a denominational thing. Maybe it's a Pentecostal thing,
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: maybe it's an ethnic thing. But the Bible said that
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: the children of Israel got tambourines and start beating them
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: at the Red Sea, and they started dancing in the
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: presence of God. And while they were dancing, the devils
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: were drowning. So there are three reasons I'll say this
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: and I'm out. There are three reasons that he closed
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: the Red Sea. One was to drown the present danger.
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: Two was to drown the potential of the danger continuing.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: But the third one, to me is the most important one.
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: When he closed the Red Sea, he drowned any potential
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: they had of ever going back. No matter whatever they
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: had to deal with the rest of the journey, going
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: back was off the table because God had shut down
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: the Red Sea. Joint hands with somebody, leave no one untouched,
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: spend the hours, leave no one untouched except somebody who
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: don't want to be touched. Leave them alone. Thank you,
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: I thank you. My wife and I been married thirty
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: eight years. We had good days and bad days. We
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: had happy days and crime days. We had nervous days
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: and scared days. We didn't eat it up in years,
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: we ate it up in days. The trick to being
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: married thirty eight years is to keep it moving. You
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: look around and it's thirty eight years. You look around
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: and you've been married fifty years. You look around. If
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: you just keep it moving, Yeah, squeeze that hand, because
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: the person you're touching is got some things. They're scared
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: of us. And God sent this message to them today
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: because they've been in positions where they didn't know what
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: to do. The triggers that upset them, they can smell them,
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: or see them or hear them. Approach it, and this
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: is a prophetic word in their life that all you
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: have to do to get the victory is keep it moving.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: Squeeze that hand. God is going to drown any potential
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: you had of going back to being who you were.
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: You will never be that again. You will never go
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: through that again. You might have to fight something else,
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: but you will never have to fight that again. Lord,
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: this Sunday morning, I speak to trauma. This Sunday morning,
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: I speak to triggers. There are some traumas that we
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: have been through, and some we might be going through
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: that were meant to paralyze us. But we will not
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: be paralyzed. There are some triggers that when they come up,
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: we react in predictable ways because of the traumas. But
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: this day I pronounce those triggers are defeated. And I
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: thank you Lord because you allow these things to happen
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: to keep my prayer life fresh. Not only will I
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: be delivered, but I'll be fresh when I get there.
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: Most of all, we thank you Lord because you shut
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: the door on any possibility of me going back to
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: who or what or how I used to be. And
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: so as I stand in this church this morning, I
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: rebuke the terror, the terrorsts We don't talk about I
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: rebuke the terrorsts. We don't tell about the terrorists that
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: threaten us and discombobulate us, make us hard to get
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: along with because it looks like we're evil, but really
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: we're scared. Squeeze that hand. I pray that every believer
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: in this room would know that they are not alone.
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: That God sent an angel in between you and what
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: you're afraid of. Glory. This is what signs would call
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: a controlled experiment. That God has not lost control of
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: your situation, in spite of the hoof Prince, in spite
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: of the sound, in spite of how you feel that
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: your feelings cannot be trusted. Your feelings are reacting to
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: pass trauma. Regardless to how you feel, Lord, I pray
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: that they would just keep it moving. That the victory
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: is in the movement, The miracle is in the movement,
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: The provision is in the movement. The grace is in
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: the movement. Hallelujah. The answer is in the movement. The
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: new door is in the movement, The promised Land is
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: in the movement. The prophecy is in the movement. I
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: thank you, Lord, I'm not gonna have to spend the
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: rest of my life, looking back over my shoulder, because
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: you're gonna settle these chariots right here, how you're gonna
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: fix these horses right now. You're gonna shut down this situation.
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: You're gonna shut it down. I'm not gonna be up
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: every night the person you're touching right now, God is
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: shutting down things, gonna drown them till you see them drown.
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: The Bible said. The dead bodies were all up on
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: the side of the bank, and Marriam started dancing over
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: top of them because she saw the enemy destroyed. And
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: I rebuke the spirit of fear. I rebuke the paralysis.
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: I rebuke the anxiety. I rebuke the physical manifestations of
