- 0:00Speaker 1: South Asian music and culture can be.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Found around the world.
- 0:05Speaker 3: We track down the best and present it here for you.
- 0:10Speaker 4: On Ruckus Avenue Radio.
- 0:15Speaker 5: Hi guys, this is me, M.A.
- 0:17Speaker 4: West, and you are listening to The Bridge with Sami Khan.
- 0:21Speaker 6: Yo guys, your boy M.A.
- 0:23Speaker 2: And you're listening to The Bridge with Sami Khan.

- 0:27Speaker 5: Hi there, Akshay Kumar, and you're listening to Bridge Only
- 0:30Speaker 5: on Ruckus Avenue Radio.
- 0:34Speaker 8: Sup, sup.
- 0:37Speaker 5: Hope you guys are well. Thank you for finding the
- 0:40Speaker 5: signal on an August 31st edition of The Bridge. My
- 0:44Speaker 5: name is Sami Chan. I think we're all getting used
- 0:51Speaker 5: to seeing the footage over and over again from what
- 0:54Speaker 5: happened in Nepal late last week. But the numbers that
- 0:58Speaker 5: are coming out are kind of confirming some of our
- 1:04Speaker 5: worst fears. Many thousands of people passed away last week
- 1:08Speaker 5: in Nepal. And we, of course, here at Ruckus Avenue
- 1:12Speaker 5: Radio have been trying to do our best to put
- 1:15Speaker 5: our foot forward to support in any kind of way
- 1:17Speaker 5: we can. The very first way that we did, at least,
- 1:23Speaker 5: was to try to put some resources in front of
- 1:25Speaker 5: people as to how they can help. Head on over
- 1:29Speaker 5: to Ruckus Avenue Radio social media accounts and you will
- 1:32Speaker 5: see some information there on how you can support the
- 1:37Speaker 5: people affected in that valley.
- 1:44Speaker 9: Wow.
- 1:46Speaker 5: Definitely very, very devastating. Hope you guys had a great
- 1:54Speaker 5: weekend and we will talk about what happened in Nepal
- 1:57Speaker 5: a little bit this week. As we go through. We'll
- 2:02Speaker 5: be joined by Isaiah there at the UN News Department
- 2:05Speaker 5: as well. He'll give you some information. And on every
- 2:08Speaker 5: Monday as we do, we'll be joined today by Meera Sharma.
- 2:12Speaker 5: We'll be joined by the Ruckus Avenue Radio All-Stars. Loita
- 2:16Speaker 5: Dasgupta with an artist spotlight. And Dr. Roy will step
- 2:21Speaker 5: in with the word on the avenue. Every Monday morning,
- 2:26Speaker 5: a tradition unlike any other. We begin our week with
- 2:31Speaker 5: what was the number one song from over the weekend.
- 2:36Speaker 5: And the very special resounding matter of this song being
- 2:40Speaker 5: a number one is it's been there for three weeks
- 2:43Speaker 5: in a row. The artist's name is Fadak. The song
- 2:47Speaker 5: is called Tare. Welcome to the bridge.
- 2:52Speaker 10: Our thokras have some old traditions, those.
- 2:59Speaker 11: Who have only seen love.
- 3:07Speaker 5: He is the bridegroom of God.
- 3:12Speaker 11: We have an old special bond with the Thokars. He
- 3:14Speaker 11: is the bridegroom of God. He is the bridegroom of God.
- 3:18Speaker 11: He is the bridegroom of God.
- 3:20Speaker 12: He is the.
- 3:21Speaker 11: Bridegroom of God. He is the bridegroom of God. He
- 3:24Speaker 11: is the bridegroom of God.
- 3:26Speaker 1: He is the bridegroom of God. He is the bridegroom
- 3:30Speaker 1: of God. He is the bridegroom of God. He is
- 3:32Speaker 1: the bridegroom of God. He is the bridegroom of God.
- 3:37Speaker 11: Don't rob this empty house This heart is shaking It
- 3:41Speaker 11: has left the house Since the time no one has
- 3:44Speaker 11: come to help This paper shivers When the wounds of
- 3:46Speaker 11: the heart are fresh The words are something like this
- 3:50Speaker 11: The witness of this.
- 3:54Speaker 13: Kind Please pay attention The witness of this kind Now
- 3:58Speaker 13: has to save something from the water The bird is
- 4:01Speaker 13: trapped in the cage Parinda kaid pinjare mein usse dar
- 4:09Speaker 13: aasma ka hai Gawaya is kadar ke paane ko ab
- 4:15Speaker 13: kuch bachana.
- 4:17Speaker 14: Hai Parinda kaid pinjare mein usse dar aasma ka hai
- 4:26Speaker 14: Parinda kaid pinjare mein usse dar aasma ka hai.
- 4:31Speaker 7: Jo bhikhara poot ke phir wo samete na simat tha hai.
- 4:36Speaker 7: Hai parthe is kadar dil pe tarashe na nifarta hai.
- 4:42Speaker 7: Hala tu se liya jab bair tohar daav hara mein.
- 4:46Speaker 7: Ye kandhe jhuk rahe hain umido ka bhaar zata hai.
- 4:55Speaker 5: Yeah, if you've been paying attention to MTV Hustle, then
- 5:01Speaker 5: you know who Fadak is. He's off to a great
- 5:04Speaker 5: start on that show, winning over lots of hearts and
- 5:07Speaker 5: minds with his performances, and that song being one of
- 5:10Speaker 5: the highlights of his career right now, and sitting at
- 5:14Speaker 5: number one for the third week in a row. Pretty impressive.
- 5:17Speaker 5: Here's Romy Huda.

- 8:38Speaker 19: Come on, treat me special.
- 8:41Speaker 20: Come on, treat me special.
- 8:43Speaker 4: Bitch!
- 8:45Speaker 5: It's a great song. Really is. Last week's number two
- 8:49Speaker 5: there on the Weekend Countdown Show. Romy Huda. The song
- 8:55Speaker 5: called Treat Me Special. He collaborates with MC Square on
- 8:58Speaker 5: that song. And from one of the new songs that
- 9:02Speaker 5: we discovered from over the weekend. from my suitcase of
- 9:05Speaker 5: music as I call it. This song is called Suno Zara.
- 9:21Speaker 20: If you are with me, there will be no mask left.
- 9:24Speaker 21: The rest is hidden in the darkness of my heart.
- 9:26Speaker 5: The nights that are hidden.
- 9:28Speaker 21: If I am with you, the roads are also decorated.
- 9:32Speaker 21: You are the only one in which we live. If
- 9:34Speaker 21: I am with you, the roads are also decorated. You
- 9:36Speaker 21: are the only one in which we live. Whatever you say,
- 9:39Speaker 21: I keep listening to my heart. I dream in my
- 9:42Speaker 21: heart for many days.
- 9:50Speaker 20: Thank you. I'll hold your hand and roam the whole world. Listen,
- 9:53Speaker 20: she's like this, she's really funny. Leave the other prayers,
- 9:56Speaker 20: it's enough for me to meet her. That night's story,
- 9:59Speaker 20: the youth of the moon and the stars. Sometimes it
- 10:03Speaker 20: was rim-jim, sometimes it smelled like a stream.
- 10:06Speaker 21: Like the dry sea gets water again.
- 10:09Speaker 20: You and I met, it became a journey. At some distance,
- 10:14Speaker 20: my house is made. You give my house light, we
- 10:17Speaker 20: travel together. Tuse milke lage jaise ye nasib khul rahe
- 10:22Speaker 20: hain mere soye harmaan jaise phir se gul rahe hain
- 10:25Speaker 20: tumne tove diya meri jana chand ka gharur tere chone
- 10:29Speaker 20: se mere saare zakam dul rahe hain Tu khule khule
- 10:33Speaker 20: baalo me main rahun tere khyalo me halkisi lali kilti
- 10:36Speaker 20: dekho ghori tere gaalo me tere liye na kam hoga
- 10:40Speaker 20: ishq kitne bhi saalo me tu lakti aur bawal saari
- 10:43Speaker 20: aur khule baalo me Yeah. The artist's name is Avi Balagan.
- 11:14Speaker 5: And the song that we have for you here is
- 11:16Speaker 5: called Sunozera. Thought you might like that one. And of course,
- 11:22Speaker 5: one of the heap of new songs that we discovered
- 11:25Speaker 5: from over the very active weekend in all of South
- 11:28Speaker 5: Asian music. So we'll get through some of the songs
- 11:30Speaker 5: today on this show and make our way through the
- 11:34Speaker 5: entire collection through the week and get you primed for
- 11:36Speaker 5: this weekend's Top 20 Countdown show. Hang back, we got you.
- 11:40Speaker 5: Now let's bring in Dr. Roy to the show, who
- 11:42Speaker 5: brings you a daily word on the avenue right here
- 11:45Speaker 5: on the bridge. How are you today, Dr. Roy?
- 11:48Speaker 22: Hey guys, this is Dr. Roy with today's Word on
- 11:51Speaker 22: the Avenue. In film and TV news, M. Night Shyamalan
- 11:54Speaker 22: is making a surprising move into the creator economy, becoming
- 11:57Speaker 22: the first major Hollywood director to launch his own YouTube
- 12:00Speaker 22: channel and connect directly with audiences. His first video, a
- 12:05Speaker 22: quiet 137-second reflection filmed in his garden, has already drawn
- 12:10Speaker 22: hundreds of thousands of views, showing that in Hollywood, sometimes
- 12:13Speaker 22: the filmmaker is now going directly to the audience. In
- 12:18Speaker 22: media news, Kerala's Kazia Liz Medjo, a 19-year-old law student
- 12:22Speaker 22: and model, has been crowned Miss Universe India 2026 at
- 12:26Speaker 22: the grand finale in Jaipur. After competing against 51 finalists,
- 12:31Speaker 22: Kazia will now represent India at the 75th Miss Universe
- 12:34Speaker 22: competition in Puerto Rico this November. In event news, Chennai's
- 12:39Speaker 22: Ramesh Babu Braganandana has made chess history as the first
- 12:43Speaker 22: Indian to win the Grand Chess Tour, defeating Fabiano Caruana
- 12:47Speaker 22: 15-13 in the finale in St.
- 12:49Speaker 7: Louis.
- 12:50Speaker 22: After falling behind in classical chess, the 21-year-old staged a
- 12:54Speaker 22: remarkable comeback by sweeping the rapid section 8-0 before securing
- 12:58Speaker 22: the title in billets, capping historic tournament run. That's it
- 13:02Speaker 22: for today's Word on the Avenue.
- 13:04Speaker 23: Until next time.
- 13:05Speaker 5: Thank you very much, Dr.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Roy.
- 13:06Speaker 5: Always nice to hear from you. This one's a really
- 13:11Speaker 5: interesting one. You know, there's some songs that you discover yourself,
- 13:15Speaker 5: and then there are some songs that the culture leads
- 13:18Speaker 5: you to. And this one certainly falls into the second
- 13:21Speaker 5: bucket that I just described. It's one of those songs
- 13:25Speaker 5: that's kind of omnipresent right now. If you look around
- 13:27Speaker 5: in certain social media places... And especially some of the
- 13:30Speaker 5: more highbrow music websites and social media outlets for South
- 13:35Speaker 5: Asian music. This song is called Yeh Duniya. The artist's
- 13:38Speaker 5: name is Curtain Blue.
- 13:42Speaker 24: Na hum jaane kon hai, na hum jaane, na vo
- 13:47Speaker 24: jaane kon hai. Yesterday I was free, why am I
- 13:59Speaker 24: free today? Yesterday I was free, why am I helpless today?
- 14:04Speaker 24: I don't know who I am, I don't know, I
- 14:07Speaker 24: don't know who I am This world.
- 14:37Speaker 12: Yesterday everything was close, today everything is far away.
- 14:50Speaker 24: Yesterday everything was special, today everything is useless. Neither we
- 14:55Speaker 24: know who it is, neither he knows.
- 14:58Speaker 12: Who it is.
- 15:26Speaker 5: It's a vibe. It's a vibe for you. It's a
- 15:29Speaker 5: great song. Curtain Blue is the artist's name. The song
- 15:35Speaker 5: is called Ye Duniya. And folks, like we do every Monday,
- 15:39Speaker 5: we have Meera Sharma join us to bring you a
- 15:41Speaker 5: Mindful Sass Minute. How are you today, Meera?
- 15:44Speaker 23: Hey, Sammy. Hey, everyone. Meera Sharma here with your weekly
- 15:48Speaker 23: dose of Mindful Sass, helping you stay self-assured, spirited and strong.
- 15:53Speaker 23: With that eclipse energy we've just had, it feels like
- 15:56Speaker 23: the perfect time for a little reset. Ask yourself, what
- 16:01Speaker 23: am I still carrying that I really don't need to
- 16:04Speaker 23: take with me? Maybe it's an old story, a past disappointment,
- 16:08Speaker 23: a habit, or something that simply isn't aligned with who
- 16:12Speaker 23: you are anymore. You don't have to carry everything from
- 16:16Speaker 23: your past into your future. Some things are lessons, not luggage.
- 16:21Speaker 23: So take what you've learned, Leave what no longer serves
- 16:24Speaker 23: you and make space for what's next. New energy, new chapter.
- 16:30Speaker 23: Let's go.
- 16:30Speaker 25: You've got this.
- 16:31Speaker 5: Let's go, Mira. Thank you so much for that. Looking
- 16:35Speaker 5: forward to a brand new month that we kick off
- 16:37Speaker 5: here tomorrow, September 1st. The year's going by fast, no
- 16:43Speaker 5: doubt about it. But it's almost like the signal of
- 16:47Speaker 5: the beginning of the fall months here. Very lovely time
- 16:51Speaker 5: of the year. This is Hastinder's Jatandiya Mundia.
- 16:55Speaker 8: The tables on the top of the top don't have
- 16:58Speaker 8: enough space. They say, don't worry, you won't survive. They
- 17:02Speaker 8: throw sand on the ground. The big girls run away
- 17:04Speaker 8: from the streets. In the middle of the night, the
- 17:06Speaker 8: jacuzzis leave.
- 17:07Speaker 5: Where are the youths? They don't have the patience. They
- 17:09Speaker 5: don't have the patience. They don't have the patience.
- 17:12Speaker 7: They don't have the patience.
- 17:13Speaker 5: They don't have the patience. They don't have the patience.
- 17:15Speaker 5: They don't have the patience. They don't have the patience.
- 17:17Speaker 5: They don't have the patience. They don't have the patience.
- 17:20Speaker 8: They don't have the patience. They don't have the patience.
- 17:23Speaker 5: They don't have the patience.
- 17:25Speaker 8: If your milk is sweet, then it will be sweet
- 17:28Speaker 8: for you.
- 17:29Speaker 5: If your milk is.
- 17:29Speaker 8: Sweet, then it will be sweet for you. If your
- 17:32Speaker 8: milk is sweet, then it will be sweet for you. 1.5
- 17:50Speaker 8: hours where.
- 17:51Speaker 5: The time is of 5 minutes.
- 17:52Speaker 8: This 5-inch-long wheel of the Thabbe Serowar. Let the atmosphere
- 17:56Speaker 8: be red and blue. And the belt of the bolt
- 17:58Speaker 8: is made of plastic. The car is not working when
- 18:01Speaker 8: there is a problem. How many times have you called
- 18:03Speaker 8: the bypass call? The eyes of the.
- 18:06Speaker 5: Audience are not moving. The crowd is not moving. The
- 18:09Speaker 5: crowd is not moving. The crowd is not moving.
- 18:18Speaker 8: All of it, all of it, I give it to
- 18:20Speaker 8: the people of my district.
- 18:24Speaker 5: They come and go, don't leave me behind.
- 18:26Speaker 8: Don't leave me behind, don't leave me behind. There's a
- 18:28Speaker 8: lot of trouble, there's a lot of trouble. There's a
- 18:31Speaker 8: lot of trouble, there's a lot of trouble. There's a
- 18:34Speaker 8: lot of trouble, there's a lot of trouble.
- 18:44Speaker 5: Astinder, one of our artists that we've been keeping an
- 18:54Speaker 5: eye on here on this show. Hope you're enjoying your
- 18:59Speaker 5: Monday show wherever you may be. And as part of
- 19:02Speaker 5: Ruckus Avenue Radio's partnership with the United Nations News Department.
- 19:07Speaker 5: Isaiah Steinberg is joining us today to bring you a
- 19:10Speaker 5: news report from Monday morning. How are you today, Isaiah?
- 19:14Speaker 26: This is UN News Today with me, Isaiah Steinberg.
- 19:17Speaker 5: The headlines.
- 19:18Speaker 26: Along the border between Nepal and China, the death toll
- 19:21Speaker 26: continues to increase as the search for survivors continues. Meanwhile,
- 19:26Speaker 26: UN peacekeepers warn that damage caused by ongoing military activity
- 19:30Speaker 26: is making it difficult for civilians to return to their
- 19:33Speaker 26: homes in Lebanon. And 6,000 seafarers remain trapped in the
- 19:38Speaker 26: Strait of Hormuz, according to the UN's maritime organization. Local
- 19:44Speaker 26: authorities in Nepal report that 553 people have died as
- 19:47Speaker 26: a result of the catastrophic flooding that swept through rivers
- 19:53Speaker 26: on the border between Nepal and the Tibet Autonomous Region
- 19:56Speaker 26: of China on Wednesday. Official figures released on Friday state
- 20:01Speaker 26: that 3,742 people have been rescued, while 977 people, many
- 20:07Speaker 26: of whom are likely tourists, remain missing. Authorities on the
- 20:11Speaker 26: Chinese side of the border reported on Friday that five
- 20:14Speaker 26: people have been confirmed dead and 558 remain unaccounted for.
- 20:19Speaker 26: Leela Peters Yaya, the UN's resident coordinator in Nepal, visited
- 20:24Speaker 26: the disaster zone to help oversee search and rescue efforts.
- 20:28Speaker 25: The damage is just incredible. You have over 40 bridges
- 20:34Speaker 25: which have been destroyed or severely damaged. You have over
- 20:39Speaker 25: 40 kilometers of roads completely destroyed. You have hydropower. Scientists
- 20:45Speaker 25: say the flooding was likely caused by a large chunk
- 20:49Speaker 25: of ice falling off a glacier and tumbling into the
- 20:52Speaker 25: valley below.
- 21:12Speaker 26: This is the second time in less than a year
- 21:14Speaker 26: that massive flooding has hit northern Nepal. Aid teams are
- 21:18Speaker 26: working around the clock to locate more survivors, while multiple
- 21:22Speaker 26: UN agencies are on the ground providing emergency supplies. Still,
- 21:27Speaker 26: the UN says more international support is needed to sustain
- 21:31Speaker 26: the emergency response. The UN is warning of growing risks
- 21:35Speaker 26: to civilians in southern Lebanon as the conflict continues between
- 21:40Speaker 26: Israel and Hezbollah. the UN's peacekeeping mission in Lebanon, UNIFIL,
- 21:45Speaker 26: says recent strikes have occurred outside its area of operations. However,
- 21:50Speaker 26: the impact of the conflict is still being felt across
- 21:53Speaker 26: southern Lebanon and along the Blue Line, which separates Lebanon
- 21:57Speaker 26: from Israel. UNIFIL spokesperson Candice Ardiel says violence has decreased
- 22:02Speaker 26: compared with previous months, but the mission has recently observed
- 22:06Speaker 26: military activity in its area including logistical movements, demolitions, and
- 22:11Speaker 26: projectile launches. The mission is also concerned about extensive damage
- 22:16Speaker 26: to homes, roads, and other civilian infrastructure. Damaged roads are
- 22:21Speaker 26: making it harder for residents to travel between villages and
- 22:24Speaker 26: access essential services, while humanitarian organizations and peacekeepers are also
- 22:30Speaker 26: facing difficulties moving around. With UNIFIL's mandate due to expire
- 22:34Speaker 26: at the end of this year, the UN is also
- 22:37Speaker 26: considering options for maintaining a smaller presence in Lebanon to
- 22:41Speaker 26: monitor the blue line and support political efforts to maintain stability.
- 22:46Speaker 26: Six months after the conflict between the US, Israel, and
- 22:50Speaker 26: Iran began, around 6,000 seafarers remain on 400 ships trapped
- 22:56Speaker 26: in the Persian Gulf unable to pass through the Strait
- 23:00Speaker 26: of Hormuz. That's according to a statement released by Arsenio Dominguez,
- 23:04Speaker 26: the Secretary General of the UN's International Maritime Organization, or IMO.
- 23:10Speaker 26: While some ships and their crews have been able to
- 23:13Speaker 26: leave the Persian Gulf, the key international waterway, through which
