- 0:23Ron Meyers: Welcome listeners host, ron Myers.
- 0:28Ron Meyers: Welcome listeners.
- 0:28Ron Meyers: Wow, are you getting a little tired of all this isolation?
- 0:30Ron Meyers: And you know, I'm ready.
- 0:31Ron Meyers: I'm ready to get back to a normal life, whatever that will be in the future.
- 0:37Ron Meyers: You know one thing, though it has shown me that God has always created you and I to be free, free to dream, free to become the person that he created us to be.
- 0:49Ron Meyers: And when we get into a situation that we are restricted, we are isolated, we cannot become fully who we are intended to be.
- 1:00Ron Meyers: We've kind of just on a lockdown in our mind that it can really drive us goofy.
- 1:06Ron Meyers: It really can, and unfortunately, some people can be open to the lies of the enemy, which I call Satan, the anti-God, and he wants to take moments like this and have enticements like drugs and alcohol to poison our mind, poison our destiny and poison our relationship with God.
- 1:31Ron Meyers: Today's guest is a friend of mine I've known for a few years.
- 1:34Ron Meyers: His name is Nathan Ladner.
- 1:36Ron Meyers: Now, nathan was a person that knows a lot about drugs and alcohol.
- 1:41Ron Meyers: He started when he was a teenager, a young teenager, and spent about 15 years into drugs, sex drugs and rock and roll.
- 1:49Ron Meyers: That was his middle name, but one day he had to stop.
- 1:53Ron Meyers: He had to stop or lose his wife and his children, and he's got an incredible story.
- 1:59Ron Meyers: You are going to be blessed by this man's story, and I've also will be asking him some ideas and some thoughts of what he would do in a situation like this.
- 2:11Ron Meyers: Now, if he was tempted and perhaps he is, I don't know.
- 2:14Ron Meyers: I haven't asked him yet If he was tempted with drugs and alcohol, as he is also part of the lockdown.
- 2:21Ron Meyers: So let me introduce my guest and welcome him to the show.
- 2:25Ron Meyers: Get the Hell Out of your Life.
- 2:27Ron Meyers: Nathan Ladner, are you on the phone?
- 2:29Nathan Ladner: I am.
- 2:29Nathan Ladner: I am Ron.
- 2:30Nathan Ladner: It's good to be here.
- 2:31Nathan Ladner: I just want to say get the hell out of your life.
- 2:33Nathan Ladner: I mean, that's exactly what happened to my life, ron.
- 2:35Nathan Ladner: I think that's the perfect title.
- 2:37Nathan Ladner: I hadn't had a chance to tell you how much I love that name of the show, man, but I just really love it.
- 2:42Nathan Ladner: I think it's perfect for what we're trying to do, what you're trying to do and what you're trying to allow God to use you for man.
- 2:48Nathan Ladner: I'm excited to be here, brother.
- 2:50Ron Meyers: I appreciate that, Nathan.
- 2:52Ron Meyers: Well, Nathan, let's tell the listeners a little bit about yourself.
- 3:01Nathan Ladner: Where are you from, How'd you grow up and how'd you begin your little journey escapades of drugs, alcohol and sex.
- 3:07Nathan Ladner: Well, it's kind of interesting, especially during these times when we talk about isolation, and oftentimes a key word with isolation would be called boredom.
- 3:12Nathan Ladner: And I grew up in a small town of Socher and, you know, liked to play sports as a young kid and kind of experimented with some, you know, recreational marijuana.
- 3:22Nathan Ladner: And oftentimes I tell people it's really out of boredom, running out of things to do, and obviously the people you're around you'll eventually try some things that you hang around.
- 3:33Nathan Ladner: I believe that wholeheartedly, If you're out there listening, you really got to be mindful of who you hang around and what they're doing.
- 3:39Nathan Ladner: And so when I was a teenager, I started using a lot out of boredom and people I hung around.
- 3:45Nathan Ladner: So in this time of isolation, I think we really got to maintain focus.
- 3:49Nathan Ladner: And you know, for me it's funny you mentioned the norm.
- 3:52Nathan Ladner: For a long time, Ron the norm was getting high, Wake up in the morning, get high.
- 3:58Nathan Ladner: That's all I thought about, that's all that was on my mind, and just thankful that Jesus one day showed me that there's more to life than just getting high and wasting my life.
- 4:07Nathan Ladner: That's what it was.
- 4:08Nathan Ladner: And so I try to really stay focused on what I'm doing, day in and day out, that I don't waste any more years.
- 4:14Ron Meyers: Yeah, and you started in your original story when I first read it, if I remember right, it was around 14 or 15 years old you were, and it started with marijuana and then it led into some more drugs and you dabbled in a lot of different things, didn't you?
- 4:34Nathan Ladner: Oh, yes, and something I really you know I want to let the listeners know.
- 4:38Nathan Ladner: First of all, I'm not bragging or proud of it but yes, ecstasy, cocaine, meth, pain medications, whether prescribed or unprescribed, when you've got to have some pain medicine or you're sick, you'll do whatever you've got to do and oftentimes then you can get cocaine or meth, whatever to get those.
- 5:01Nathan Ladner: Nobody wants to hurt Ron and nobody wants to go through pain, but oftentimes I've found in life that God wants to use that pain to grow you, you know.
- 5:11Nathan Ladner: You know a lot of people like to use the faith as like a muscle.
- 5:15Nathan Ladner: Well, that's true, but it's also true that muscle grows when it caters and that can cause pain and soreness.
- 5:24Nathan Ladner: And so I believe God uses pain, whether it's self-inflicted or not.
- 5:29Nathan Ladner: He can use that to glorify Him and to grow you as the man or daughter, son or daughter that he's designed you to be.
- 5:36Nathan Ladner: I think that's the biggest key is understanding who you are and who God made you to be.
- 5:43Ron Meyers: Well, on your journey, you were married at the time.
- 5:46Ron Meyers: You were married, you had some children and you had hit a point.
- 5:52Ron Meyers: What was it that made you stop?
- 5:55Ron Meyers: What was it that you finally had to say enough is enough.
- 5:58Ron Meyers: I can't live this any way anymore.
- 6:01Ron Meyers: I've got to discover my destiny, what God's planned for my life, what happened?
- 6:07Nathan Ladner: Oh, ron, thank you for bringing that up.
- 6:09Nathan Ladner: Sometimes it's been about coming up on six, seven years now I kind of don't remember the exact date because it's just so awesome to be to know who I am and what I'm designed to do.
- 6:20Nathan Ladner: Now, you know the saying of time flies when you're having fun.
- 6:25Nathan Ladner: But yes, the point of that momental, that pivotal point, that I believe with all my heart, ron, that every addict and I'll use the word addict because I used to be one, I'm not one anymore as far as drugs and alcohol and I believe the word addict can be used as self-indulging in any type of way.
- 6:46Nathan Ladner: First, let me just make that clear.
- 6:48Nathan Ladner: Second, the pivotal moment was and like I said, that addiction is, oftentimes we find ourselves in these cycles of life, whatever it was, and I like to say God was opening my eyes slowly and making me aware of some things in my life and seeing that I believe everybody's heart of.
- 7:06Nathan Ladner: When they get high, nobody wants to hurt.
- 7:09Nathan Ladner: Okay, a lot of times we will go and it's crazy.
- 7:13Nathan Ladner: I've talked to other addicts and most of the time you would get higher or more of a rush going to get the drugs than when you actually got to ingest them, however, you would do that, and so for me, that kind of started signaling something, and it was a kind of a hamster wheel cycle, so to speak.
- 7:32Nathan Ladner: I would go and I was like man, I can't keep doing this.
- 7:35Nathan Ladner: Something in me was like Nate, logically, can you keep doing this forever?
- 7:40Nathan Ladner: And so the answer is no.
- 7:43Nathan Ladner: The answer is no to anybody out there.
- 7:45Nathan Ladner: Smoking crack, doing cocaine, smoking meth, doing meth.
- 7:48Nathan Ladner: However you're doing it, the answer is ultimately going to lead to death.
- 7:51Nathan Ladner: And so you know, basically, the question I want to ask, and just be blunt are we that selfish to think that it's not harming anybody?
- 7:59Nathan Ladner: Because that's what most of the addicts will say I'm not hurting anybody.
- 8:02Nathan Ladner: Well, you are, because you're loved by more people than you realize.
- 8:06Nathan Ladner: I just want to speak to somebody right now, ron, that you're loved.
- 8:10Nathan Ladner: I think one of the things that God really changed in my life, man, was how much my wife loved me when I didn't love myself and God was using his love through her.
- 8:19Nathan Ladner: I mean, I hated myself and I couldn't it would make me angry, ron when she loved me, when I wanted her to hate me, I wanted her to be mad at me because I hated myself, man.
- 8:31Nathan Ladner: And so I guess, to narrow it down to that pivotal moment, you know, to sum it up would be I can't keep doing this, and I believe it's in the heart of everybody that's going through addiction right now.
- 8:40Nathan Ladner: If they really just take a second and think to themselves, can they keep doing this?
- 8:45Nathan Ladner: Do they want?
- 8:46Nathan Ladner: Are they tired of this lifestyle?
- 8:47Nathan Ladner: I believe the answer is no.
- 8:49Nathan Ladner: I just believe they don't know how to get out of it.
- 8:51Ron Meyers: Yeah, yeah, you know that was.
- 8:52Ron Meyers: It was kind of my story years ago.
- 8:54Ron Meyers: I mean, I love to uh, this was years ago Uh, you know, I love to smoke pot and and I always said, well, I'll stop one day.
- 9:10Ron Meyers: And I didn't really do it so much for fun, but I did it because I wanted to escape and numb the pain in my life.
- 9:13Ron Meyers: And you're right, one day I had to ask myself is this going to stop?
- 9:14Ron Meyers: And finally God put me in a position that I not only did I stop, but I'm like you, I'm kind of a wild crazy guy for Jesus ever since Listeners.
- 9:21Ron Meyers: On the phone is Nathan Ladner.
- 9:23Ron Meyers: Nathan Ladner loved drugs more than his wife and his children, but one day, after 14 years of drugs, god put him on a path to help other people now and he has an incredible job and we're going to find out more of what he's doing.
- 9:37Ron Meyers: Some advice for somebody out there right after the break so don't go anywhere.
- 9:41Ron Meyers: Keep it right here on.
- 9:43Ron Meyers: Get the Hell Out of your Life.
- 9:51Speaker 1: We all need encouragement.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Encouragement does one of two things it either frees us from the trouble we fear or it gives us the strength and courage to meet the trouble when it comes.
- 9:55Speaker 1: If you would like to receive a weekly text message of encouragement, simply text the word INSPIRE to 51660.
- 10:03Speaker 1: That's INSPIRE to 51660, that's inspire to 51660.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Our messages will encourage, inspire and empower you on your journey through life.
- 10:13Speaker 1: Life is tough.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Be encouraged.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Welcome back listeners.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Uh, this is uh ron myers the show.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Get the hell out, letting your life shine.
- 10:24Ron Meyers: Welcome back listeners.
- 10:25Ron Meyers: This is Ron Myers, the show Get the Hell Out of your Life.
- 10:28Ron Meyers: I'm so glad you're with me today because during these times of isolation, things can happen out there.
- 10:35Ron Meyers: We can be tempted to take a little pill, maybe smoke a little this, smoke a little that and take a couple drinks, and next thing you know, your life's out of control.
- 10:44Ron Meyers: My guest today is Nathan Ladner.
- 10:47Ron Meyers: That spent 14, 15 years with drugs and alcohol and today is free, becoming the person God created him to be, and he's sharing his story.
- 10:58Ron Meyers: Well, nathan, before the break, you shared that pivotal moment that your wife loved you.
- 11:04Ron Meyers: I think that's so critical.
- 11:05Ron Meyers: Your wife loved you when you hated yourself.
- 11:10Ron Meyers: So, somebody, when you hate yourself, okay, you have to get up in the morning, you have to look in the mirror, brush your teeth and shave.
- 11:17Ron Meyers: So when you looked in the mirror before your transformation, what did you see?
- 11:22Ron Meyers: When you looked in the mirror?
- 11:24Nathan Ladner: Oh man, that's an incredible question.
- 11:26Nathan Ladner: You know, I think we try to put on this facade and I think you think everything's okay.
- 11:34Nathan Ladner: In the Scriptures, james talks about a man looking in the mirror and forget what he looks, for looks like, don't be that man who's double-minded.
- 11:42Nathan Ladner: And so it's an interesting statement that you asked me, because I've kind of been studying on that and you know, I don't think men spend as much time in the mirror as women do, and that's not downing women at all.
- 11:56Nathan Ladner: But you know, looking back at that, I probably didn't spend much time looking in the mirror, because that mirror would oftentimes make me reflect on who I was and what was going on in my life, ron.
- 12:07Nathan Ladner: So I think really I would probably look in there and I wouldn't do too much thinking, to be honest with you, and I think that's a tool of the devil, like we mentioned that pivotal moment, just using rational logic, of can't keep doing this.
- 12:23Nathan Ladner: And so, you know, shame Shame would also keep me down and shame will keep you in a place of serving yourself.
- 12:31Nathan Ladner: Because it is a tool of the devil, because oftentimes we're crucified between yesterday and tomorrow, and so my thoughts oftentimes was you know, I screwed up yesterday and there's shame involved in that.
- 12:46Nathan Ladner: Well, tomorrow I'm going to hurt if I don't get my fix.
- 12:49Nathan Ladner: They cause a lot of anxiety and stress, and so what would alleviate that stress Ron is to use again?
- 12:56Ron Meyers: Yeah, use again and keep using again and again listeners on the phone, nathan Ladner, who is sharing his story of how he spent 14, 15 years in a drug-addicted world and loved drugs more than his wife and children, but one day he was set free.
- 13:12Ron Meyers: Now you went to was it the Home of Grace that helped you on your recovery path?
- 13:19Nathan Ladner: It was the Home of Grace.
- 13:20Nathan Ladner: And for me, hey, let me just use scripture again, ron, because it's just who I am and who I want to be.
- 13:26Nathan Ladner: But the flesh is weak, but the Spirit is willing, jesus.
- 13:30Nathan Ladner: And so that flesh was weak.
- 13:32Nathan Ladner: I really knew in my heart that I couldn't stay at home and really struggle with that hurting and pain, so I felt it was best.
- 13:40Nathan Ladner: I had a friend of mine, jason, who really recommended that I go.
- 13:45Nathan Ladner: I always tell people I kind of mess people's world up.
- 13:47Nathan Ladner: I think I'm pretty open about where I went for a few months.
- 13:50Nathan Ladner: I tell people I had the most fun of my life at rehab and they look at me kind of sideways and they're like you can't say that, but I can.
- 13:58Nathan Ladner: I found out who I was.
- 13:59Nathan Ladner: I found out how much God loves me and it was just an incredible time in my life.
- 14:04Nathan Ladner: And who gets three months time out of the proverbial hamster wheel of life?
- 14:08Nathan Ladner: Go to work, come home clean, eat.
- 14:10Nathan Ladner: Go to work, come home clean, eat.
- 14:11Nathan Ladner: And I got to sit down with my maker, my creator, and kind of find my purpose and have hope in this life.
- 14:18Nathan Ladner: It was an amazing time in my life, ron.
- 14:21Ron Meyers: You said you found out listeners on the phone, nathan Ladner, sharing his story of drug addiction over 15 years, and he went to the home of grace and you said, nathan, you found out who you were, who are you?
- 14:37Ron Meyers: What did you find out?
- 14:42Nathan Ladner: Tears coming down my eyes, ron, I just I don't think I get to say this out loud enough.
- 14:46Nathan Ladner: Brother, I'm a child of God, I'm a redeemed child of God and Jesus paid for my iniquities on the cross.
- 14:53Nathan Ladner: He gave me forgiveness.
- 14:55Nathan Ladner: I was reading Mark 2, the man that was carried by some friends through a roof and they carried a paralytic man and the Pharisees and the Sadducees are watching him and he said your sins are forgiven.
- 15:07Nathan Ladner: And that's that shame that I held on to so tightly, because in that shame I became bitter and angry at people and excuse after excuse of why I can't do better.
- 15:17Nathan Ladner: But in that forgiveness that I found out that how much Jesus loved me, that forgiveness I was able to have mercy new in the morning, brother, I was able to have that freedom that we all think we have, but that freedom that I was truly designed to walk in and love and peace and joy through God.
- 15:39Nathan Ladner: And it's just an incredible walk to know what you're designed for.
- 15:43Nathan Ladner: I think most people don't even understand the meaning of life.
- 15:46Nathan Ladner: Not that I've got to figure it out, ron, but if I can simplify Jesus' words, it's love God and love others.
- 15:53Ron Meyers: Wow Listeners on the phone, nathan Ladner, sharing his story of drug addiction and his freedom.
- 15:59Ron Meyers: He was set free.
- 16:00Ron Meyers: Now, nathan, I can picture someone out there right now, and I can picture this because it was a picture of my house or my room maybe 25 years ago.
- 16:11Ron Meyers: Dark room Curtains are closed, it's dark.
- 16:15Ron Meyers: There's a bottle of Jack Daniels or Crown over there, maybe a little bag of marijuana.
- 16:21Ron Meyers: They divinely tuned into this radio program today and they're wondering why am I even listening to this?
- 16:26Ron Meyers: Why am I not listening to some Led Zeppelin?
- 16:28Ron Meyers: But they continue to listen to it.
- 16:30Ron Meyers: Now you have an opportunity to talk to that person.
- 16:33Ron Meyers: Because they don't think they have an identity, they don't like themselves, they don't think they're worth anything in life at all, so they just want to numb the pain and forget about who they aren't instead of who they are.
- 16:45Ron Meyers: What would you tell that person?
- 16:46Nathan Ladner: That's very good, ron.
- 16:48Nathan Ladner: First of all, I would say open the windows, open the blinds, go outside for a minute, look at the trees, look at the clouds, look at the sky.
- 16:58Nathan Ladner: Who do you think made that?
- 17:00Nathan Ladner: We had to have a creator.
- 17:02Nathan Ladner: And if we got a creator, then there's a good chance.
- 17:04Nathan Ladner: We've got something striving against us.
- 17:07Nathan Ladner: And a lot of people say Nate, how do you know God is real.
- 17:09Nathan Ladner: Well, to the person sitting in their room with that bottle of Jack or that alcohol or that marijuana or cocaine or meth on their table, I've seen the devil and somebody sitting in that dark room.
- 17:18Nathan Ladner: They know there's a devil, because that devil is enticing them, that devil is urging them to keep on going.
- 17:24Nathan Ladner: Nobody loves you, nobody likes you.
- 17:27Nathan Ladner: You're not worthy.
- 17:28Nathan Ladner: Well, I'm here to tell you you're worthy, brother or sister.
- 17:30Nathan Ladner: You're worthy, you're absolutely worthy.
- 17:32Nathan Ladner: Jesus died for you, and that makes you worthy.
- 17:35Nathan Ladner: He shed his blood, he was beat for you.
- 17:36Nathan Ladner: That makes you worthy.
- 17:38Nathan Ladner: And his blood wasn't wasted.
- 17:40Nathan Ladner: His blood was not wasted.
- 17:43Nathan Ladner: And so I would say call somebody.
- 17:45Nathan Ladner: I would say get out of the house for a second, take a walk and examine your heart, examine.
- 17:51Nathan Ladner: Is this who I am?
- 17:52Nathan Ladner: Is this who I want to be tomorrow Because, once again, I truly believe with all my heart that God put a divine purpose in our heart to seek Him, and when we start seeking other things idols, selfish, fleshly pleasures that's when we get off track, and I believe this isolation period can be a time to get back on track, ron.
- 18:12Nathan Ladner: So it's an opportunity.
- 18:14Nathan Ladner: I believe this is an opportunity to bust out of the darkness and go to the marvelous light.
- 18:18Nathan Ladner: Regardless, if you understand it all, let's just break free of some things.
- 18:22Ron Meyers: Let's do something different, like Regardless, if you understand it all, let's just break free of some things.
- 18:26Ron Meyers: Let's do something different.
- 18:26Ron Meyers: Well put.
- 18:27Ron Meyers: Well, put Nathan Ladner on the phone, listeners sharing his incredible testimony of being set free of drugs and alcohol.
- 18:33Ron Meyers: Well, in the little bit of time that's just left, I got two things for you.
- 18:38Ron Meyers: One, Nathan you are a surgery tech now, I believe, at one of the local hospital.
- 18:43Ron Meyers: Life has been good for you, so tell us a little bit what's happening in your life in the last six, seven years since you've been free from drugs and alcohol.
- 18:52Nathan Ladner: It's been incredible, God just opening up doors here.
- 18:55Nathan Ladner: I'll just simplify We've been talking.
- 18:57Nathan Ladner: I believe, Ron, also that we're finally talking to somebody who needs help too, and I just want to say this that it's better than I ever could imagine life could be.
- 19:10Nathan Ladner: I'm not just talking finances, I'm talking about joy and peace.
- 19:13Nathan Ladner: You know, you don't have to find it in a substance, it don't even have to be in a food.
- 19:19Ron Meyers: Yeah, you found it in God, and I think it's an important point to make there, nathan, is that when you've experienced the worst, which you have, you said it in your own words, and now you've gotten to the best.
- 19:30Ron Meyers: See, your story validates God's love, your story validates God's mercy, your story validates God's forgiveness.
- 19:38Ron Meyers: So you're preaching to someone not out of a textbook, but you're preaching to someone out of real life struggle, but real life hope.
- 19:49Nathan Ladner: Yes, amen.
- 19:50Nathan Ladner: And.
- 19:50Nathan Ladner: And you know, if somebody wants to reach out to me on Facebook, I just want to throw that out there.
- 19:55Nathan Ladner: Right, I didn't plan to say that, but if you want to message me about needing help about where to go, where's the first step?
- 20:01Nathan Ladner: I would?
- 20:04Ron Meyers: love to help somebody.
- 20:05Ron Meyers: You know, I think that is an excellent, excellent idea.
- 20:07Ron Meyers: Thank you for sharing that.
- 20:08Ron Meyers: How do they get in touch with you?
- 20:10Nathan Ladner: I'm not real tech savvy, ron, but I would assume just search Nathan Ladner and it would come up from Socher, mississippi.
- 20:17Nathan Ladner: Heck, if you're in that desperate of help, just message a few of us.
- 20:21Ron Meyers: Yeah, message a few of the Ladners.
- 20:22Ron Meyers: They all are related.
- 20:24Ron Meyers: You'll find each other.
- 20:25Ron Meyers: Well, nathan Landon, that's right.
- 20:27Ron Meyers: Amen, brother, one thing before I let you go.
- 20:30Ron Meyers: I want to first of all just thank you so much.
- 20:33Ron Meyers: I can just hear the passion, the love in your heart for Jesus.
- 20:36Ron Meyers: The name of the show Get the Hell Out of your Life.
- 20:44Nathan Ladner: So how do you get the hell out of your life?
- 20:45Nathan Ladner: Take a step.
- 20:46Nathan Ladner: Take one step and hear the scripture that God's put on my heart, that I can't get out of Don't worry, don't be anxious about tomorrow.
- 20:51Nathan Ladner: Don't seek things that are food and clothing.
- 20:54Nathan Ladner: The body is more than that.
- 20:55Nathan Ladner: Don't worry about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow.
- 20:59Nathan Ladner: Take a rest in God's control today.
- 21:03Nathan Ladner: And taking that step of faith means, like I said, do something different.
- 21:07Nathan Ladner: Most of the time, an addiction, it's a cycle that keeps repeating itself.
- 21:11Nathan Ladner: And how do you get out of that cycle?
- 21:14Nathan Ladner: You've got to do something different.
- 21:15Nathan Ladner: You've got to take a step.
- 21:16Nathan Ladner: You've got to make a phone call, you've got to get out the house, you've got to go visit somebody, you've got to put yourself out there.
- 21:22Nathan Ladner: And it's scary.
- 21:23Nathan Ladner: And it's scary because if people really know who you are, then you feel like you won't be loved, ron.
- 21:28Nathan Ladner: But that's the craziest thing about who God is he fully knows you and fully loves you.
- 21:33Ron Meyers: Wow, so well put, Nathan.
- 21:34Ron Meyers: God bless you, brother.

- 22:45Ron Meyers: I pray, nothing happens.
- 22:47Ron Meyers: I live in fear and wonder could my dreams for me and my children be over with?
- 22:51Ron Meyers: Oh God, please help me, I can't handle this.
- 22:56Ron Meyers: Then they look at me and ask why.
- 22:59Ron Meyers: You know I've spent years, friends, speaking and promoting the promises of God.
- 23:04Ron Meyers: I like to quote Jeremiah 29, 11, for I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans of hope in the future, not of disaster.
- 23:12Ron Meyers: You know it's easy to tell people that when things are good, but what do I tell people who live in fear, people who are basically under house arrest?
- 23:21Ron Meyers: Are the person who's issued a citation because they went to the beach alone for some meditation time.
- 23:28Ron Meyers: What do I say to the folks that can't visit their loved ones in a nursing home?
- 23:33Ron Meyers: Are the person who is probably going to lose their livelihood, their business?
- 23:39Ron Meyers: What do I say to the people that were given a fine of $500 a piece because they dared gather on their private church property, isolated in their cars, to hear a message of hope from their pastor, charles Hamilton in Greenville, mississippi?
- 23:58Ron Meyers: Or what do I say to my wife and daughter and the other school teachers who will not see their students anymore this year Students.
- 24:08Ron Meyers: They had grown to love, because the school year now has been canceled.
- 24:11Ron Meyers: So I ask God, what do I say Now?
- 24:15Ron Meyers: I don't get any awesome revelations or some powerful message.
- 24:18Ron Meyers: All I hear are three words I am faithful.
- 24:23Ron Meyers: So what do we do with those three words?
- 24:26Ron Meyers: Well, we do what we did when our children were learning to walk be patient and wait.
- 24:33Ron Meyers: We look over our life and remind ourselves how God has been faithful.
- 24:37Ron Meyers: We remember those times when we had no hope, no answers, no solution, and just when we thought we were defeated, god made a way.
- 24:46Ron Meyers: It's in times like this that we must go back in our memories and relive the days when divine circumstances placed us in the right place at the right time.
- 24:55Ron Meyers: We must hold tight to God's promise of never leaving us, his promise that he is with us, he is for us and he is never against us.
- 25:06Ron Meyers: I have discovered that God is never late and he's never early, but he is always on time.
- 25:12Ron Meyers: He will reveal his purpose for each of our situations in this time Not our time, but his time.
- 25:20Ron Meyers: You and I must keep a good attitude and remind yourself often, my friend, of this promise of power and hope.
- 25:29Ron Meyers: God is faithful.
- 25:31Ron Meyers: God is with me Because he loves me.
