  Today we are going to be continuing on our journey down the very deep
• 4:46
  rabbit hole that is the Wheel of Time. And today we're doing book nine,

  Winter's Heart. And I may have mentioned early, very early on that

  I've been waiting for this book to read this uh, to read this particular
• 5:02
  book, because stuff should happens, because from from the very beginning, since
• 5:14
  book one, we all know that the true source, the source of magic
• 5:20
  in the world of the Wheel of Time has two halves, two halves a
• 5:26
  male and a female, half siding for men, side are for women.

  And in ancient days, back in like three thousand years ago, in the
• 5:36
  age of Legends, a very powerful figure by name of Luis. Then Talaman
• 5:44
  went to war against the Dark One and his forces, and while the Forces
• 5:49
  of Light were losing, Luis barn did lead one final assault against the Dark
• 5:54
  One and his forces, and he managed to steal the bore leading into the
• 6:01
  Dark One's prison, and in the process of sealing the Dark One away alongside
• 6:09
  his thirteen forsaken m HM, the Dark One initiated a counterstroke. This counter
• 6:15
  stroke was counter stroke, counterstroke. That's literally how they write it in the
• 6:23
  book. Oh okay, that's literally how it's written the book. It's he
• 6:27
  calls it a counter He calls it a counterstroke because because when you think about
• 6:32
  it, it's not really a counter strike, because the counter strike, you
• 6:34
  would basically like shit happens to you, and then you take a step back,
• 6:41
  plan your plan, your own move, and then strike back. But
• 6:45
  the counterstroke is more of like Dark One wasn't going to be able to get
• 6:48
  out of being sealed away again. So in the process of being sealed away,
• 6:54
  he's gonna basically he basically took louse Tron down with him, and this
• 6:59
  counterstroke was using louse Iron as a link. He flooded his dark Power threw
• 7:05
  loose theirn into the male half of the male half of the True Source uh,
• 7:11
  completely corrupting Sided, and as a result, every man that can channel
• 7:17
  begins to begins to completely lose their minds. They go crazy, they go
• 7:24
  mad, and they'll eventually become very violent and go on a rampage and start
• 7:29
  killing everything and everyone around them. So the way that the taint on Sided
• 7:33
  was described, it was like a thin layer of oil sitting on a vast
• 7:38
  ocean. You know, Sidon itself remained pure, but the taint just floated
• 7:44
  on the top. So in order to reach for Sidon you had to go
• 7:46
  you had to like go through the taint. You had to touch the taint
• 7:51
  before you can touch Sidan. Shut you can't. You can't expect me to
• 7:59
  say for you to sit there and say taint, touch the taint and not
• 8:03
  me make a joke about it. Literally, that's that's what they call it.
• 8:07
  That's what they call you. But I could still laugh at it.

  Yeah, you've been laughing at it for nine episodes. Already, shut the

  fuck up. But it's the tate. Okay, okay, okay, we're

  mature here, We're mature, Okay, no, you're not anyways. So

  Sidon got corrupted, and this led into the second age, which was called
• 8:35
  the breaking of the world. Uh loose darn his hundred companions. Since they

  were at ground zero, they instantly went mad and they went on a rampage,
• 8:45
  and then over time, slowly the rest of the male channelers across the
• 8:48
  world began to lose their minds because every time they channel, they're not only
• 8:52
  drawing in Sidon, but they're drawing in that corruption that is corrupt, that
• 8:56
  has tainted. And at first, the symptoms of the madness. It started
• 9:05
  like every male channeler can feel it. It's like this oily, toxic substance
• 9:13
  that flows into them at the same time that Sidon flows into them, all
• 9:18
  right, And then at first it causes just slight discomfort, you know,
• 9:24
  just that sort of sense of uncleanliness. But then over time it begins to
• 9:28
  physically affect you. You begin to experience symptoms like nausea, body aches,
• 9:37
  and it also it begins to affect you mentally. You start becoming more aggressive,
• 9:43
  more emotional, you lash out more, until eventually you completely lose control
• 9:52
  of your emotions, your mental constitution, and you begin to hear voices,
• 10:00
  so like schizophrenic light symptoms. And then finally when you when your mind breaks,
• 10:05
  you begin to last shout at everything around you. You lose control of
• 10:09
  the power. So every time you channel, you're losing. You have less
• 10:13
  and less control of it. And even if you don't go mad right away,
• 10:18
  the path, the corruption on the on the through source causes your body
• 10:24
  to physically degrade. So even if you manage to keep the madness at bay
• 10:31
  for years, your body is slowly breaking down because the the taint is poisonous.
• 10:39
  So and even if like you go mad and uh you're going on a
• 10:43
  year's long rampage, you'll eventually die because this uh is that corruption causes your
• 10:48
  body to uh uh to decompose and you just die because it's you know,
• 10:54
  you're you're basically slowly poisoning yourself every time you channel. Well, early on
• 11:01
  in the series, when I started reading this, I hey, I had
• 11:05
  this. I had these questions like, so, wait, how is how
• 11:11
  is rand who is who is a channeler? And the guy who's supposed to
• 11:15
  save the world. How is he supposed to save the world? And within
• 11:20
  the next couple of years, if he's going to lose his mind and eventually
• 11:24
  die because of the because of the taint. And so I was just like,
• 11:31
  I spoiled it for myself. I went online and I googled it does
• 11:33
  brand cleansed the taint from Sidon And the answer was, yes, he does.
• 11:41
  And it told me exactly when. And that was in book nine,
• 11:46
  Winch's Heart. So here, I was barely through book one, and I'm
• 11:50
  like, fuck, I have eight more books to go through before I reached
• 11:54
  this monumental event, right, and now we're finally here. So in book
• 12:03
  eight, Ran had already begun to had already began to slowly lose control of
• 12:11
  himself. He's beginning to experience the more extreme side effects of the Poisonous Team.
• 12:18
  So he already he was hearing voices. He's hearing the voice of lows
• 12:22
  Theron in his mind, although he believes it's not actually a symptom of the
• 12:28
  madness. It's just more of like he's actually recalling the memories of his past
• 12:35
  life but putting that aside. He Ran has already begun experiencing like he's more
• 12:45
  aggressive. He's he's developing anger anger issues. He has lashed out in anger
• 12:50
  several times and Throughout book eight, he began experiencing the physical side effects of
• 13:00
  of the corrupt, of the corrupted sidon, and that is, every time
• 13:03
  he began to embrace the source, he experienced extreme waves of nausea and dizziness,
• 13:09
  and at one point when he could when he embraced the source, he
• 13:13
  actually vomited and got physically sick. So every time he would need to embrace
• 13:20
  the source, he would do it well in advance to get past that extreme
• 13:26
  physical discomfort, and then he would hold it for hours leading up to whatever
• 13:31
  he intended to use it for. So at the climax of book eight,
• 13:35
  he led a camp. He led a successful campaign against the shan Chan and
• 13:39
  managed to push them back to Abu Dhar. And the thing is, though
• 13:41
  he considers it a loss because he lost control of himself and he ended up
• 13:46
  doing more harm as much harm to his own forces as he did to the
• 13:52
  shan Chan's forces. Although it is technically a victory for that campaign was technically
• 13:56
  a victory for Rand because he successed. He succeeded in pushing the shan Sean
• 14:01
  far back into our altar, pretty much all the way back to Abudar.
• 14:07
  So at the end of book eight, he of course had his confrontation with
• 14:15
  the renegade a shaman, and he decided to He decided that he needed to
• 14:22
  take a step away from everything and just let rumors fly, let people believe
• 14:30
  that he's either dead or gone mad. And he left Kyrienne and the and
• 14:35
  the other nations under his control. He left them in command of some stewards,
• 14:41
  and he went on as he took a journey, and with him he
• 14:45
  took He took men with him, and after question after questioning him, Ran
• 14:50
  reveals to men that he plans on cleansing sighton of the corruption, and to
• 14:58
  do that he is going to use a pair of ungrel that he discovered in
• 15:05
  book four, called the Children Call. The Children call are a pair of
• 15:09
  massive statues. We're talking bigger than the Statue of Liberty. I think we
• 15:15
  said. They're about the size of the Statue of Unity in Singapore. Is
• 15:22
  Taiwan, I forgot where it is. It's the largest statue in the world,
• 15:26
  in the real world. But the Children call are a pair of statues.
• 15:31
  One is in the shape of a man, of a stately older man,
• 15:35
  dignified and regale and regaled, and the other is a statue of a
• 15:43
  stately woman. Basically, each statue can only be used by a man by
• 15:50
  their respective sexes, so one is for the men, one is for the
• 15:54
  women. And they are so powerful that Lanfear herself said that you could chan
• 16:00
  challenge to the Creator using the using the children Call out. Because of how
• 16:04
  large a children Call is, you can't actually carry them around with you,
• 16:07
  so they were designed to be used in conjunction with a pair of matching smaller
• 16:14
  statues. These tarango all form a link with the statues, so you can
• 16:18
  carry these little statues with you anywhere you want, and by reaching through them
• 16:23
  and channeling through them, that's how you access the power of the children call.
• 16:27
  So they're called access keys. And Ran had discovered both access keys in
• 16:32
  the in the Forbidden City of Ruidian and the Ayell Waste. So he's been
• 16:38
  he's been hiding them this entire time, waiting for the right moments you use
• 16:41
  them. And now that moment has come, so yeah, things are going
• 16:48
  to get Let me tell you guys. When I read this book and it
• 16:52
  got to that scene, I was just like, oh, yes, I've
• 16:56
  been waiting. It was worth the weight. I can't con he's been waiting
• 17:00
  quite some time. And but before we get into that, we're going to
• 17:04
  talk about I want to talk about everybody else's story perspective first, and also
• 17:11
  want to kind of like talk you a little bit about some characters that do
• 17:15
  appear in the other books that we've reviewed so far, but I haven't talked
• 17:18
  much about them because their story was more of like a footnote, really not
• 17:22
  very important to the main storyline as a whole, at least personally. I
• 17:26
  didn't think they were that important, at least until now. So in book
• 17:32
  eight, Parent had been quote unquote exiled from Rand's court because they had a
• 17:37
  public falling out. In reality, it wasn't Rands. It was of all
• 17:44
  part of Brand's plan. He wanted people to think that him and his best
• 17:48
  friend were at odds with each other, so that way they wouldn't really scrutinize
• 17:52
  Parents so much. Because Rand had learned that there is a man far to
• 18:00
  the west, somewhere in Altera Amaducho or Galden, calling himself the Prophet of
• 18:07
  the Dragon. And this prophet is actually a man that Wren had met before
• 18:11
  in book one and two, named Massema. Masema was a Shiner warrior who
• 18:17
  had traveled with Frans and his friends while they were on the hunt for the
• 18:21
  Horn of the Leer. After they split ways in book three, Massema had
• 18:27
  somehow like somewhere along the way, he lost his mind and began preaching that.
• 18:33
  He began preaching Rand's story and trying to gather support for Rand, but
• 18:37
  this ended up turning into religious fever, and he started calling himself the prophet
• 18:42
  of the Dragon and the prophets. He started preaching the coming of the Dragon
• 18:48
  reborn, and it turned into this whole mess. People who began to believe
• 18:53
  Massema basically got infected with the same kind of religious fever, and they all
• 19:00
  became just this horde of religious zealous that basically like it was like a crusade.
• 19:07
  You don't believe it, believe what we say, or we're going to
• 19:10
  burn your city to the ground. So they were causing so Mi Sema was
• 19:14
  causing riots all over uh like four different nations Altara and Meditia, Geldin and
• 19:22
  even some parts of Mirandi. And uh Ran had decided that the time had
• 19:29
  come for him to bring the Sema under his control and put a stop to
• 19:33
  all these riots. So he sent Perrin with a good decent sized contingent of
• 19:37
  you know, of course, his two own two rivers, uh, two
• 19:41
  of the men, a couple of like a small force of his spear maidens.
• 19:45
  Uh. Some wise women decided to go with them as well. Some
• 19:48
  of the wise ones decided to go with them as well, uh and several
• 19:52
  of the Isidia that have sworn themselves to rand Uh. So they traveled to
• 19:57
  Geldian, and they go to one of the villages there and that it's there
• 20:02
  that Paren meets the Queen of Geldean, Queen Aleandra. Aleandra met with Paren
• 20:10
  in secret because publicly she supports Massmma. But that's because she's because at this
• 20:18
  point she is like the fourth or fifth monarch to sit on the throne of
• 20:23
  Geldin. Because miss Emma's followers have deposed all the other ones because they have
• 20:30
  publicly denounced the dragon the prophet of the Dragon. So they all got killed.
• 20:36
  And then when Aleandra came into the picture, she was smart enough to
• 20:40
  publicly state that she supports the prophet of the Dragon as well as the Dragon
• 20:45
  reborn. But she knows that Missemma is Bashit crazy, so she approaches a
• 20:53
  parent because she knew she knows that he actually serves Rand, and she does
• 20:57
  support Rand, but not in the way that the prophet expects her to.

  And pon seeing ransfor parents forces and seeing that parents people are are they're flying
• 21:11
  a pair of banners. One is parents personal Wolf banner and the other is
• 21:15
  a banner of the long dead Kingdom of Menetherne, which is which used to
• 21:22
  lay in the majority of Galadean as well as the two rivers. So seeing
• 21:30
  upon seeing the banners, she questions him and asked him to see planning on
• 21:33
  resurrecting Menetherne. He says it's not really his intention, but his people uh
• 21:41
  basically follow uh use the banner and it brings us together. And you know,
• 21:48
  considering what he said about what he had to say, uh, Queen
• 21:52
  Aleandra decided to swear her allegiance to parent and support and offer her and finding
• 22:02
  Masseema as well as supporting RN in the future. So using with her help,
• 22:07
  they track down Missma and he does actually speak to Missma and and he
• 22:14
  gets mis Semma to agree to come back to Kyrine to speak with RN because
• 22:18
  RN had ordered him to come, had summoned him Mistema agreed, but he
• 22:26
  wanted to take like a small force of his followers with him, and parents
• 22:30
  said you can only bring one hundred, and Masema was like, okay,
• 22:33
  I'll bring a hundred. But then when Masma showed up at parents camp,
• 22:37
  he ended up bringing over ten thousand people with him, and Paren was like,
• 22:44
  what the fuck? But he can't really do anything because these people are
• 22:48
  just as badchit crazy as Missma, and they've proven to be very unruly and
• 22:53
  heart and difficult to deal with, and right now his combined for appearance combining
• 23:00
  forces is like makes up only like less than half of what miss Semma brought,
• 23:06
  So he really had no choice but to go along with it so long
• 23:07
  as they can get miss Sema to go with them back to Rand now.
• 23:14
  Paren was originally gonna use Yashaman to travel back to Cayne within a day,
• 23:21
  but Mastema, even though he preaches that the Dragon Reborn is a channel er,
• 23:26
  he believes that anyone else that is not the Dragon Reborn shouldn't be channeling,
• 23:32
  and that it's considered a sin and blasphemy for other people besides Ran to
• 23:37
  channel, so he staunchly refused to travel with Rand with Paren through the by
• 23:45
  gateways, but before their arguments can go any further, and Parent learns that
• 23:49
  while he was dealing with miss Sema, his camp got raided by the a
• 23:56
  Eel at the at the end of towards the end of book seven, uh
• 24:03
  Semiel, the for sacond Semil, had been making deals with Savannah, who
• 24:11
  is currently leading the Shadow Ayel, the aeel that refused to follow a rend
• 24:15
  and have been wrecking havoc across the West Lens, particularly in kyrine Ah.
• 24:22
  So Samael was planning on using them for some sort of scheme, but really
• 24:27
  he was trying to get them off the board, and the way he did
• 24:30
  that was he scattered their forces. He gave them uh these tarangrial that can
• 24:36
  open gateways, and they were supposed to take them. He told them that
• 24:40
  these gateways would take them to somewhere where they would all be together and they
• 24:45
  can, like six securely create a successful foothold in the West Lens and they
• 24:52
  can continue their fight against the Dragon to be Born as well as conquer the
• 24:57
  West Lends. But instead there the Shadow ended up getting scattered all across the
• 25:04
  Westlands, particularly a lot of them got ended up somewhere in the mountains of
• 25:11
  uh Galadean, Altara and and Medisha. So as a result, they've all
• 25:18
  the shadow have been slowly trying to regroup and gather themselves again, and they've
• 25:26
  gathered and now there's somewhere in the same They were all in the same area
• 25:30
  as Messma and while Fayel parents parents, wife Aleandra and uh Fayle's new maid
• 25:42
  servant she goes by, she was going by a different name, but this
• 25:47
  maid servant is actually none other than Elaine's mother, the former Queen more Gas.
• 25:53
  So uh a little the little quick refresher about more Gae. In the
• 25:59
  wake of what happens with Robin, the forsaken, Morgaze had fled Camelin and
• 26:04
  went down to Alterra to petition the Children of the Light to assist her in
• 26:11
  retaking Camelin and and Or from Lord Gabriel, who she later found out was
• 26:17
  actually the forsaken Robin. The thing is is that the Children of the Light
• 26:22
  weren't going to just offer their aid and for just nothing. They wanted her
• 26:27
  to sign a treaty with them that would basically render them the monarchy of Camelin
• 26:36
  into a figurehead system and the White Cloaks would be in control, and they
• 26:41
  basically would be able to do whatever they wanted. They'd be able to come
• 26:45
  and go from the city and have free reign over all of Andor. And
• 26:48
  at first she resisted, but she got back, she got back so far
• 26:52
  into a corner that she had no choice but to sign. And the thing
• 26:56
  is, right after she signed their tree, the sean Huan invaded a Medisha
• 27:03
  and overthrew the Children of Light. So the Children of Light they are still
• 27:07
  technically around. There's a large force of them that had been sent north into
• 27:12
  Galdean to try to deal with Misseemma and the people and the followers of the
• 27:18
  Dragon. But then they got sidetracked because now they have they're trying to figure
• 27:23
  out, Okay, do we go deal with Massmma or do we go back
• 27:26
  and teg to retake a Medisha from the shan Shan. So they're still out
• 27:32
  there. They're pretty much like they're not really doing anything at this point.

  But their former Lord commander he was killed. He was assassinated just before the
• 27:44
  shan Shan invaded. And then the new the new Lord commander as well as
• 27:48
  the commander of the Questioners, who are a group of the White Cloaks that
• 27:53
  they're basically like the Spanish Inquisition. They are known for be they are known
• 28:00
  for torturing people for information, like and the thing is is that their torture
• 28:06
  methods are very ineffective because even though somebody is telling that their prisoners are telling
• 28:11
  them the truth, they don't think. They're like, no, I don't
• 28:14
  think so, and they keep cutting off their fingers and then finally like there,
• 28:18
  their prisoners will just tell make up wild stories like oh well right,
• 28:23
  So they basically start telling them whatever they want just to get the pain to
• 28:26
  stop. And that's when the questioners are like, okay, we believe you
• 28:30
  know, that's exactly what we wanted to hear, right, And it's even
• 28:34
  though it wasn't the truth. So the questioners command Lord Commander as well as
• 28:40
  the Lord Commander of the White Cloaks as a whole, those guys uh started
• 28:45
  doing their own thing they wanted. They sent a large number of their forces
• 28:49
  north to deal with the profit of the Dragon, and then the shawn Toan
• 28:52
  invaded overthrew the bulk of their organization and more case was again he was now
• 29:00
  being held captive by the Seaun Sean and they wanted to get try to ransom
• 29:07
  her to try to so they can better take over Camlin in the future.

  But the former Lord Commander of the White Cloaks, he had a spy master
• 29:17
  who posed as his secretary. And this guy, after basically being forced out
• 29:25
  of his job because of the Sean Shan and also the assassination of his former
• 29:29
  employer, he decides like, all right, well, you know what,
• 29:32
  all bets are off, So he approaches more Gasee and her friends and agrees
• 29:37
  to get them out of Amaditia and take them north where they'll be safe.

  So they ended up going north northeast and they end up running into parents company,
• 29:48
  where more Geese decides to serve parent and his wife Fayel as a maid
• 29:53
  servant, and more Gasee, Fayel, and Queen Aleandra we're all while Perrien
• 30:03
  was dealing with Masmma. They all went on on a small little hunting expedition
• 30:07
  together and they got attacked by the Shadow and the Shadow captured them. And
• 30:12
  the thing is about the Ayel is that they have this their honor code get
• 30:18
  too has many different facets to it, and part of it is whenever an
• 30:22
  Aele warrior. Whenever an ideal warrior is captured in battle, they're not killed
• 30:30
  or tortured, but rather they're made into a form of servant. It's not
• 30:34
  exactly like a servant or and not really a slave, but it is a
• 30:37
  form of indentured servitude. They're made into what is called a gay Shane guy
• 30:42
  shane. They're strip of all of their weapons and clothing and put into white
• 30:47
  robes and for the next year and a day they have to serve their captors
• 30:52
  in every aspect. So they have to They cannot take up arms, they
• 30:56
  cannot use weapons, they cannot use any kind of violence whatsoever. They have
• 31:00
  to serve meekly and obediently for the next year in a day. Now,
• 31:06
  the thing is is that they only apply uses. This only applies to the
• 31:11
  ael because this is part of their culture. But the Shadow have begun taking
• 31:17
  pretty much anybody. So if it's whether it's Kayeel or Westlander, they'll take
• 31:22
  them, they'll capture them and then they'll make them into guy shan. But
• 31:26
  the Westlanders guy Shane are basically like permanent slaves. It's not they're not gonna
• 31:32
  be slaves. They're not gonna be Guy Shane for the next year and one
• 31:36

  are very dangerous because the golam were created at the height of the War of

  Power back in the Age of Legends three thousand years ago. They were created

  with the sole purpose of killing channelers because for one thing, chandlers cannot cannot

  hurt the golan with their power. Whenever the power is used on a golum,
• 41:07
  their weaves unravel and disappeared before it even touches the Golan. So they're

  completely immune to the power. And another thing is that the golam is they

  are very flexible. They're almost like, uh, they're almost snakelike in the

  way they move. They're very fast, and anytime you, let's say,

  if you try to attack them, they kind of like bend and contort themselves

  around your weapons to avoid it. And they're able to slip through even like

  the thinnest crack. So we're talking, yeah, so like mister Fantastic,

  able to stretch out their arms or anything like that. It's just more of

  he could do anything. Right around this time, Matt began to realize that

  comes the colonization force because the Sean Jean. A little bit little history about

  Aarth Ocean to discover a new land. And they were sent by archer hot

  Wing Pendrag, and this was like a thousand years ago, and with them

  and so they succeeded in crossing the Earth Ocean. They colonize an entire continent,

  married Aguinan. But when they got married, they and they reunited with the

  serves her as like what is called a well at her level, she doesn't

  including revealing that the soldam or chandlers. The questionner also approached another woman who

  was an actual Souldam. She appeared Uh. This Soldam had actually been captured

  by Aguinan in ten Chiko, and that was she was the one. She

  was the one that Aguinan had figured out that Aguinan had used to figure out

  that Suldam or channelers because Aguinan had placed the collar the A Damn Caller around

  this particular Souldan and that's how she figured out that Suldam's channelers. So the

  thing is, she let that she let the Souldan go, and they both

  swore that they would never speak of this to anybody. But since the Seeker

  is now approaching both of them to try to get more information about uh Soroth

  and other plots, they realized this from lead to the eventual revelation that the

  soldamard panelers. So Eguinan comes up with a plan because Bellman had recognized Matt

  Uh and he had seen and recognized Matt in a Budhar, and he tells

  her about him and maybe how they can use him to get out of the

  need, and Matt not really wanting to trust to shan Stan, but realizing

  that this they may be able to help him by creating a distraction, and

  he tells a Guenon that part of his escape plan is he wants he needs

  to free several Isidi who have been captured h and collared. And while a

  Geinan is is like appalled by the idea of freeing Demane, he realizes that

  she doesn't have much of a choice, so he agrees and she gets the

  sold She gets that soldown will rather coerces that other soldown into helping her free

  to those demonic and we're also in uh in their escape attempt, we all

  uh that Souldan also coerces two other Souldom into helping her free those demonic.

  And the thing about these two soldam that she coerces, these two extra soldian

  that she co werks is is that we saw them both in book two and

  in fact, one of them was I believe her name was Reva. Reva

  suldom are getting the isidie Demane. Matt noticed that he had noticed UH while

  he was scouting the uh dominie kennels, he noticed that there were a lot

  of wind Finders being held as Demane as well UH at then mir wind Finders.

  The thing about the wind Finders is that they're really fighting. UH.

  They're very contentious as Demane there well, for the most part, they have

  been uh pacified and domesticated UH so far, mainly because being collared it's very

  still they were out numbered by the by the Soldam and the Demane. UH.

  They begin to UH make their escape. They run for the docks and

  try uh and try to get to their ships in the problem. In their

  escape, they managed to UH escape with several large UH Sean Sean vessels,

  which are these massive, boxy like ships. They're styled in the way that
• 1:08:34
  the mongol the Mongolian warships, So if you guys look up like what Mongolian
• 1:08:40
  warships look like, it's pretty much like that. They're big. They can
• 1:08:43
  hold several hundred people at a time, and UH a good number of the
• 1:08:47
  athen mirror the wind Finders and even the Seafolk that have been captured by the
• 1:08:53
  Sean Shan, the non wind Finders UH. They managed to escape, and
• 1:08:57
  the wind Finders began using their power to UH basically wreak havoc around the city.

  So it's like a massive like windstorm. Lightning is just being shot everywhere.

  The Souldown reacts very quickly and they get their demane to fight back.

  But and while many of the seafold die in the process, a good number

  of them escapes from Edwudar, and in the process they destroy a large number

  of the shan Chan's best warships. So like it was chaos, the city

  ends up going into lockdown, but Matt managed to get out of the city

  and the Menagerie, which was sitting just outside of the city, stays put.

  Matt advises everyone to that they need to just sit put and wait,

  at least for a few days, let things settle down, because if they

  but they do manage to drive off aroan Gar. Austin Gar, a

  but he was trying to be stealthy about it. But he's seen by one

  uh, by the linked group, one of the link groups that are still

  close by to Randon Naiive and she ends up sending a fireball his way and

  kills him. So Austin Gar gets killed. And uh they you know what's

  ironic, uh, the the isid I that was leading this, that was

  in charge of this link circle. Uh. Even though she swore her oath

  to Rand and she's bound to it, she was also one of the Ice

  did Eye that had attacked and captured Rand, and and Ran had captured her

  as a result in the aftermath of Do My as well. Yeah, she's

  gar she chucks a fireball at him and kills him. Uh. Grendel,

  she was trying to sneak her way closer, and uh she was. She

  Grendel is an expert at using compulsion weaves, so that's her. That's the

  way she fights. And she does try to use compulsion weaves several times on

  a couple of times on several of the linked groups, but she didn't account

  for the she didn't see one of the other groups, and they immediately attack

  her and drive her off. Moget In sits back and watched. She doesn't

  actually fight, but either way, at the end of the day, kats

  to successfully drive off the forsaken and finally Rand finishes the the ritual. He

  and Ninive by this point are exhausted and they pass out once it's done and

  Dahmer, who was using his medical weaves on one of the other I said

  eye who had gotten injured. And while he's while he's using his healing weaves,

  he can she notices that he keeps saying it's clean, it's clean,

  accept that he was the dragon reborn, and since then there have been like,

  yeah, there have been significant events and major confrontations, but there was

  Personally, I just felt like it didn't there wasn't anything like super like really

  drastic or dramatic, right, like yeah, he thought, h he conquered.

  He took over Caitlin by defeating Robin. He took over Ilian by defeating

  some I L. So those were significant events. Though his fight with sel

  I thought was disappointing because some l ended up getting got by Mashadar and shut

  our look off. So I was like, oh, well, it's a

  little disappointing, right uh. And of course there was the event in book

  six when he got captured by the Isidie and then there was the confrontation to

  for personally, I just felt like the story was kind of driving a bit

  from those last few books, Like book seven was definitely interesting, but how

  did I personally thought like it was anti climatic. The ending was kind of

  anti climatic. Then book eight, of course, we finally got uh.

  After like waiting two books, we finally got the wet the weather bowl event

  where Elaine and I Neve used the weather bowl to fix UH, to unlock

  the weather. And now and now, I forgot to mention as a result

  of that, what winter has come in full force? Because by this point

  it should have been like, well into winter. So now winter's come,
