  Good morning everyone and welcome to Half-Faith Let It Begin.

  This is Angel. It is a Tuesday.

  Holy cow we are cozying in on the end of october well yesterday we we talked
• 0:32
  about something i think a lot of us needed to hear it was called don't burn the candles at both ends.
• 0:39
  Well slow down trust god and be patient and take one step at a time,
• 0:45
  but this morning i wanted to talk to you about what happens after you take that
• 0:52
  step so this is kind of like a part two because sometimes nothing happens.
• 0:57
  You prayed. You took the step.
• 0:59
  You did what you believed God was calling you to do. And now you're waiting,
• 1:05
  and waiting and waiting some more.
• 1:07
  And if you're anything like me, eventually you start looking up and saying,
• 1:12
  okay, God, I took the step. Now what?
• 1:17
  Because we're pretty good at asking God to lead us. We're just not always very
• 1:22
  good at waiting for him to answer.
• 1:24
  We want God to work, but we'd also appreciate a tracking number.
• 1:30
  Your blessing has shipped. Think about this, hold on. Let's do it this way.

  Your blessing has shipped and will arrive between 2 o'clock and 4 p.m.

  Wouldn't that be wonderful? But faith doesn't come with a tracking number.

  Sometimes you pray and you wait. Sometimes you work and you wait.
• 1:49
  And sometimes you take the right step and you still have to wait.
• 1:54
  And that's where patience becomes part of faith. Yesterday, I told you not to
• 1:59
  worry about tomorrow. Today.

  But there's another side to
• 2:03
  that. Don't become discouraged just because tomorrow hasn't arrived yet.

  Maybe you're waiting for an answer. Maybe you're waiting for an opportunity.

  Maybe you're waiting for something in your family to change.
• 2:16
  Maybe you're trying to rebuild something. Maybe you've been praying about the
• 2:21
  same thing for weeks, months, or even years.
• 2:25
  And you're wondering, God, are you listening? Yes.
• 2:31
  But God's silence does not mean God's absence.
• 2:36
  And God's timing doesn't always look like our timing.
• 2:40
  Sometimes while you're waiting for God to change the situation, God is changing you.
• 2:46
  He's teaching you patience. He's strengthening you and your faith.
• 2:50
  He's preparing you for something you aren't ready to see yet.
• 2:56
  Sometimes, he's protecting you from something that you thought you wanted.

  That's difficult, wouldn't you agree? Because we usually don't see the part until later.

  Think about, let's say, let me use an example. Let's say we think about planting a seed.

  You put it in the ground, you water it, and then what?
• 3:17
  Nothing. Or at least nothing you can see. Imagine planting a seed and coming back 15 minutes later.

  All right where's my tomato that's ridiculous.

  Sometimes that's exactly how we treat god lord i prayed yesterday where's the
• 3:33
  answer growth takes time roots grow before fruit appears and maybe right now god is growing roots,
• 3:42
  maybe he's growing roots you can't see nobody can see them maybe nobody else can see them.

  But something is happening underneath the surface. That's why you can't judge
• 3:53
  God's work only by what you can see today.
• 3:58
  And when you hear this, when you hear this, waiting doesn't do nothing.

  Waiting doesn't mean do nothing. Keep living, keep praying, keep loving your family.
• 4:08
  Keep showing up. Keep doing the work God has placed in front of you.
• 4:13
  And the next step becomes clear. So take it.
• 4:17
  But don't exhaust yourself trying to force open a door that God hasn't opened yet.

  Yesterday, we talked about burning the candle at both ends. Sometimes that's
• 4:28
  exactly how we burn ourselves out.
• 4:31
  We're not just doing today's work. We're trying to force tomorrow to happen faster.
• 4:37
  And maybe God is saying, stop, I've got tomorrow. You take care of today.
• 4:42
  So here's your challenge for this morning. Ask yourself, what am I trying to rush?

  What am I trying to rush that I need to trust God with instead?
• 4:51
  Maybe it's your career. Maybe it's your family. Maybe it's a relationship.
• 4:56
  Maybe it's healing. Maybe it's a decision.
• 4:59
  Maybe it's something only you and God know about.
• 5:03
  Whatever it is, you don't have to force it today. Take your step,
• 5:07
  do your part, and give God room to do his.
• 5:12
  Because sometimes faith means moving. And sometimes faith means waiting.
• 5:17
  So let's wait and be patient. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for another
• 5:21
  morning and another opportunity to begin again.
• 5:23
  Yesterday, you reminded us to slow down. Today, teach us how to wait.
• 5:28
  For the person listening who has been praying and wondering when the answer
• 5:31
  will come, give them patience.
• 5:34
  For the person who feels nothing is changing, remind them that you can be working
• 5:39
  even when we cannot see it.
• 5:41
  Help us to try. Help us stop trying to force tomorrow.
• 5:46
  Help us trust your timing give us wisdom to know when it's time to move and
• 5:51
  faith to know when it's time to wait,
• 5:54
  strengthen us in the waiting grow our roots prepare our hearts and when the
• 5:59
  next step comes give us the courage to take it,

  until then Lord help us trust you today help us trust you with today in Jesus name we pray,

  Don't rush where God is still growing.

  You still need to worry.

  If you still need to worry, let me put it that way. Just take your next step.

  You took the step. Now give God time to work. Trust him. Be patient.

  And while you're waiting, keep living.

  Keep praying and keep believing.

  And when God shows you the next step, take it.
