- 0:00Speaker 1: Coming up on relatables. You like him even if he
- 0:04Speaker 1: doesn't like you. You need to know because being friends
- 0:09Speaker 1: with him while you like him is not possible.
- 0:12Speaker 2: It's not healthy. No, not at all.
- 0:14Speaker 1: You know it's not. It's just it's stupid. Been there though,
- 0:18Speaker 1: Like you want to stay friends with someone that you
- 0:19Speaker 1: like because you like him so much that you think
- 0:21Speaker 1: eventually they'll change their mind. I've been young, I've done
- 0:23Speaker 1: it tried. Doesn't work, all right, doesn't work.
- 0:37Speaker 2: The Relatives podcast is hosted by it myself Oddie Clark
- 0:40Speaker 2: aka Mummy and my partner in crime, Jake Craig aka Daddy.
- 0:46Speaker 1: I gonna call myself Daddy.
- 0:48Speaker 2: That's by the fans, guys. You guys are the baddies.
- 0:52Speaker 2: But Jake, if you can tell my voice, I'm excited
- 0:55Speaker 2: for this first segment.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Me too.
- 0:58Speaker 2: We have a newfound skill, we both do. I'm going
- 1:02Speaker 2: that far. Yeah. Behind the scenes, Jake and I have
- 1:06Speaker 2: been writing some lyrics for I'm just gonna say, guys,
- 1:11Speaker 2: we've become artists.
- 1:12Speaker 1: We have become artists, self proclaimed but pretty good.
- 1:16Speaker 2: That's where you've got to start, exactly true.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Everyone starts somewhere. You've got to have some you've got
- 1:20Speaker 1: to have that undeniable belief that you are just born
- 1:25Speaker 1: for this. Yeah, So basically, let's go back it's a
- 1:30Speaker 1: couple of months ago.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Yes, this is actually a long time in the works.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Yeah, so Oddie. It was Oddy's idea, and he said,
- 1:38Speaker 1: let's both We did our segment sound yeah, with a
- 1:43Speaker 1: guy named Toby Wells who we've become friends with, but
- 1:47Speaker 1: he also just produces music. So he said, let's do
- 1:50Speaker 1: an archetype a segment on the podcast where we both
- 1:54Speaker 1: we both write a song. We go, we make a
- 1:57Speaker 1: proper song with Toby bring onto the podcast and we
- 2:02Speaker 1: do a thing, give them some teasers, and then we
- 2:05Speaker 1: play the whole thing for him. We're going against each other.
- 2:07Speaker 1: We release it, and whoever gets the most listens after
- 2:10Speaker 1: a month does some exactly.
- 2:12Speaker 2: So this is going to be my song episode. Next
- 2:15Speaker 2: Monday is going to be mine, and then on the Wednesday,
- 2:18Speaker 2: both songs are being released on Spotify. Yes, and whoever
- 2:22Speaker 2: gets the most listens over a month period is going
- 2:24Speaker 2: to do a music video.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Yeah, a music video or I feel like a music
- 2:29Speaker 1: video is kind of like a benefit though.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Yeah, it's funny. I think whoever losers will be in
- 2:34Speaker 2: the background. I reckon doing something like that, like and
- 2:36Speaker 2: the needs the loser.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I think needs to maybe do like a live rendition
- 2:42Speaker 1: of it on the podcast or something pretty funny.
- 2:45Speaker 2: But it was quite the fun process, so we started
- 2:47Speaker 2: off by writing our own lyrics and learn about it
- 2:49Speaker 2: versus Bridges research.
- 2:52Speaker 1: It's honestly kind of hard.
- 2:53Speaker 2: I found songwriting is very hard, but we found out
- 2:56Speaker 2: the singing process is so fun.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Honestly, so much fun. He is a thing Patreon. Yeah,
- 3:02Speaker 1: we have the three levels you know of. Level three
- 3:05Speaker 1: is fifteen dollars a month and every week you get
- 3:08Speaker 1: a vlog. There's two vlogs on there. One of them
- 3:10Speaker 1: is ODDI recording his song, and I haven't watched it.
- 3:13Speaker 1: I don't know anything about ODDI song. Another one's me
- 3:15Speaker 1: recording my song and audio knows nothing about my song. Nothing.
- 3:19Speaker 1: So if you want to go get a sneak peek
- 3:21Speaker 1: and see what we went through, you can meet Toby
- 3:23Speaker 1: on the vlogs and stuff. Go over there and hit
- 3:25Speaker 1: it check it out exactly.
- 3:26Speaker 2: And I can't speak for jakesong, but I'd like to
- 3:28Speaker 2: say mine's somewhat good because of auto tune and Toby's
- 3:32Speaker 2: editing ability.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Yes, same. I'm not a good singer.
- 3:35Speaker 2: And those vlogs are funny because they're not edited. Oh yeah,
- 3:38Speaker 2: they're just us singing raw funny music because we had
- 3:41Speaker 2: been inventing it while we're singing it. He's inventing the song.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Yeah, while we're doing it, and then you're singing you know,
- 3:49Speaker 1: it's hilarious. I was there. I know for a fact
- 3:51Speaker 1: you were there. How long were you there the first
- 3:53Speaker 1: time you went?
- 3:54Speaker 2: Probably I think I nine to about one, nine one,
- 3:58Speaker 2: and then you went back yeah redid vocals.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Yeah, you only went twice. Right, how long did the
- 4:02Speaker 1: second time go?
- 4:03Speaker 2: Only now and a half?
- 4:04Speaker 1: Okay, so all together nine to one is four hours?
- 4:09Speaker 1: Yeah plus another hour? Yeah, so five hours altogether. I
- 4:13Speaker 1: was there all together. I was at Toby's place for
- 4:15Speaker 1: two hours.
- 4:16Speaker 2: That just shows how different you and I are. Oh yeah,
- 4:19Speaker 2: in the just like I was.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Just I went into this and I was like, I
- 4:23Speaker 1: just want to get this over and done with. It's
- 4:26Speaker 1: because I'm a fucking perfection as day. So I have
- 4:28Speaker 1: a feeling yours might be way better. Because even the
- 4:31Speaker 1: first edit he gave me, I said, mate, it's done.
- 4:33Speaker 1: I said, master it. It's done.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Okay, So I'll tell you a little bit about mine.
- 4:39Speaker 2: The song title is Caught in My Thoughts. Okay, shit,
- 4:43Speaker 2: I have a feeling.
- 4:44Speaker 1: I know the direction.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Obviously, it's just fitting for the podcast. Mine's very serious.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Okay, Yeah, mine is not.
- 4:53Speaker 2: No, Okay, So my thing is losing track of reality
- 4:56Speaker 2: because of all the thoughts going on inside your head,
- 4:58Speaker 2: like anxiety, anything like that, and all these situations that
- 5:01Speaker 2: aren't really there, but they are there because they're inside
- 5:04Speaker 2: your head. And it's about how I get out of
- 5:06Speaker 2: my head essentially. Okay, cool, cool, cool? So yeah, okay,
- 5:09Speaker 2: so do you tell a story? And yeah, I tell
- 5:10Speaker 2: a story essentially. So it's I'm at the start, I'm
- 5:13Speaker 2: called in my head, and it goes through time and
- 5:14Speaker 2: it's like what things I use to get out of
- 5:16Speaker 2: my head? And then it's it's life just in the way,
- 5:19Speaker 2: but it's making my way through life. I'm not doing
- 5:21Speaker 2: it well, but I just do it.
- 5:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:22Speaker 1: I love that.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Okay, Okay, So what we're going to do now is
- 5:26Speaker 2: I'm not this is only going to be a teaser. Yeah,
- 5:28Speaker 2: We're going to play a teazer of bodies one verse
- 5:31Speaker 2: and the chorus.
- 5:32Speaker 1: This is also this is for me.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I haven't heard this, but I'm very impressed with
- 5:37Speaker 2: my chorus. The rest my voice kind of suck the singing, okay,
- 5:40Speaker 2: but I'm impressed with my chorus. My heart's beating, heart beating.
- 5:46Speaker 2: I'm going to give you a verse, and of course
- 5:47Speaker 2: I'm going to drop you right in the middle.
- 5:49Speaker 1: So yeah, yeah, so yeah, give us a yeah.
- 5:51Speaker 2: The context is going to All you're going to do
- 5:52Speaker 2: is hear it? Are you ready?
- 5:54Speaker 1: I am ready call it.
- 5:56Speaker 2: My thoughts by Addie Clark through this place a lie.
- 6:01Speaker 3: I put trust in time, the only thing that he
- 6:05Speaker 3: was all regaining my mind time on my son caught him.
- 6:15Speaker 2: My thoughts for made a fight, caught him.
- 6:20Speaker 3: My thoughts say good in time search inferences I can find.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Never believe in this nash.
- 6:32Speaker 3: My mind caught him. My thoughts lost in my mind.
- 6:40Speaker 2: That's all you get. That's all you get, boy. That
- 6:44Speaker 2: is good.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Mad Wow, I like.
- 6:52Speaker 2: It's giving major illuminaus. It's one of my favorite dollars.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Oh man, it's damn got my thoughts tangled in time
- 7:01Speaker 2: searching for answers I may never find.
- 7:03Speaker 1: That's hilarious, but it's just it's the thing that makes
- 7:05Speaker 1: it so funny?
- 7:06Speaker 2: Is that it's actually so good?
- 7:11Speaker 3: Shit.
- 7:12Speaker 1: I want to give mine now, but we've got to
- 7:13Speaker 1: wait till next episode. Next episode, you guys get mine.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Will you give the name or anything about it? Give
- 7:18Speaker 2: a little teaser?
- 7:19Speaker 1: What can I tease?
- 7:20Speaker 2: Maybe a lyric?
- 7:22Speaker 1: A lyric? Maybe I should give the name. I might. So.
- 7:26Speaker 1: The interesting thing with mine is the name isn't in
- 7:29Speaker 1: the song. Okay, but when you hear the song you'll
- 7:32Speaker 1: understand why I called it that. Okay, It's called translucent, Okay,
- 7:36Speaker 1: translate it translucent?
- 7:37Speaker 2: And right now, yeah, who do you think is going
- 7:40Speaker 2: to be better?
- 7:42Speaker 1: I think skill into it, like because you and I
- 7:46Speaker 1: don't have skills, so the skill comes from Toby. It's
- 7:50Speaker 1: obviously equal, but they are different. Mine is, I want
- 7:57Speaker 1: to say, not that yours. Isn't it? Like it sounded
- 8:00Speaker 1: really good? But mine's like radio radio. Mine would be
- 8:05Speaker 1: just like classic chuck it on the radio, Like mine's
- 8:08Speaker 1: what's it called folk folk?
- 8:09Speaker 2: Like ziggy.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Can stuff like that.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I knew you'd do that.
- 8:14Speaker 1: It's so funny. I went in there and I was like,
- 8:16Speaker 1: I know exactly. If you guys go watch my blog,
- 8:18Speaker 1: I'm saying to Toby I'm like, I bet you already
- 8:20Speaker 1: tried to rhyme words and don't rhyme, didn't he And
- 8:22Speaker 1: he goes, yeah, fing idiots, fuck you, Oh man, but
- 8:28Speaker 1: how fucking funny.
- 8:30Speaker 2: You gotta come back next week to hear Jake's translucent.
- 8:32Speaker 1: I'm so excited.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I decided to release it.
- 8:35Speaker 1: I am so excited to tell you what Wine's about,
- 8:37Speaker 1: because you're going to fucking die.
- 8:40Speaker 2: That's the thing is you know it was going to
- 8:41Speaker 2: be about like fucking fighting and public.
- 8:44Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, you have no idea what mine's about.
- 8:47Speaker 1: And I cannot wait to tell you. Oh god, alright,
- 8:51Speaker 1: you guys, So let's get it. Let's get into the
- 8:54Speaker 1: rest of the episode. But before we do that, let's
- 8:55Speaker 1: keep the lights on Spotify five stars. Hit us up
- 8:59Speaker 1: YouTube subscribe. That's like Patreon just told you about it.
- 9:05Speaker 1: I don't know why you wouldn't go over there. Now,
- 9:06Speaker 1: why aren't you over on Patreon? Now go hit up
- 9:09Speaker 1: the vlogs. We'll obviously do. Yeah, and all right, let's
- 9:13Speaker 1: do it.
- 9:13Speaker 4: Let's jump into it, all right, Next up, we got
- 9:22Speaker 4: boy logic.
- 9:25Speaker 2: This is the new one, isn't it. We haven't done
- 9:27Speaker 2: this before. Jake came up with this.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Yeah, this is from a This is boy logic from
- 9:32Speaker 1: a girl's brain.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Girl's perspective, from a girl's perspective. Okay, all right, is
- 9:37Speaker 2: this throwing fire at us a little bit?
- 9:39Speaker 1: Yeah, a little bit, as always so boy logic. If
- 9:45Speaker 1: I can't see it, it isn't messy.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Oh that is so true.
- 9:51Speaker 1: And like the reference is if I'm like always, if
- 9:55Speaker 1: it's under my bed, it's clean.
- 9:58Speaker 2: I was about to say under my TV, don't I
- 10:00Speaker 2: can't say I don't care.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I'd put stuff under my bed
- 10:03Speaker 1: and it's there now, And that's.
- 10:06Speaker 2: That is so true. I didn't even think about that.
- 10:08Speaker 2: If you can't see it, it's not mess I've always
- 10:10Speaker 2: wanted to know, like a girl walks into like a
- 10:12Speaker 2: boys room for the first time, what they actually think,
- 10:15Speaker 2: Like they would notice things that we don't even think about,
- 10:18Speaker 2: Like that's good, true, like your friends probably walking in
- 10:20Speaker 2: your room, like what the funds all this ship under.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Your even just the fact that like I definitely would
- 10:24Speaker 1: go days where I forget to open my blinds really
- 10:27Speaker 1: I like, well not not like days like I would
- 10:30Speaker 1: go like a full day where it's like I didn't
- 10:32Speaker 1: I'll do that to it, and then the next day
- 10:33Speaker 1: I'm kind of like, I better get some fucking real
- 10:35Speaker 1: sunlight in here. But you know, you just do stuff
- 10:37Speaker 1: like that. Guys just do stuff differently. We do it different. Yeah,
- 10:41Speaker 1: we do sh it different, boy logic. If she doesn't
- 10:46Speaker 1: ask you a direct question, you don't need to say anything.
- 10:52Speaker 2: That's called I don't know, bullshit. That's honestly, that's calling me.
- 10:57Speaker 2: That's calling me out as well. It's not direct time.
- 10:59Speaker 2: It's like hi, yeah, yeah, I'll just pretend like it
- 11:01Speaker 2: just didn't happen.
- 11:02Speaker 1: She's telling me how she feels about something, and she
- 11:05Speaker 1: stopped talking and so so I'm used to streaming the
- 11:09Speaker 1: conversations over. But she wants me to say how I feel,
- 11:12Speaker 1: but she didn't ask me how I feel, so I'm
- 11:14Speaker 1: not going to say anything.
- 11:15Speaker 2: She wants input. She's like alluding to, like, surely you
- 11:18Speaker 2: get the gym? Yeah, yeah, it's quiet time.
- 11:20Speaker 1: She's like, do I need to spoon feed you the
- 11:22Speaker 1: words of what to say? Yes, And the answer is yes.
- 11:27Speaker 2: And then I'll be like, oh, yeah, I'm good.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Yeah, someone could I understand? I'm sorry? How are you?
- 11:35Speaker 2: Now?
- 11:36Speaker 1: You know, boy logic, I don't think this one's directed
- 11:40Speaker 1: at you, but it's definitely directed at me. Water is
- 11:44Speaker 1: enough to clean my face.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Not me at all. I wonder how any boys just
- 11:49Speaker 2: only use water. You're one of them.
- 11:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:53Speaker 2: I left my skin cleanser thing at my girlfriend's house,
- 11:55Speaker 2: and I was like afraid I was gonna get some pimple.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Really, you see, you went down a slippery slope, is
- 12:01Speaker 1: what you did when you started cleaning your face acne.
- 12:03Speaker 2: As a kid, I want to like a dermatologist and sad.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Okay, fair, fair, fair. I was lucky enough not to
- 12:07Speaker 1: any guy. Any guy that didn't get acne doesn't wash
- 12:11Speaker 1: their face. But if I understand that, if you've got acne,
- 12:14Speaker 1: then you had to go through the process.
- 12:15Speaker 2: And then you're trapped. The skin companies trapp.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Seriously, they do. There's definitely a product out there that
- 12:20Speaker 1: makes it go away for good, but they don't want
- 12:22Speaker 1: to sell it because you'll sell it once and never
- 12:24Speaker 1: sell it again.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Exactly. They want to just look a little bit better,
- 12:28Speaker 2: but then every once in a while you get fucked.
- 12:30Speaker 1: See, like your skin's good, yeah, but if you stop
- 12:32Speaker 1: doing everything to go bad. I actually don't know now,
- 12:34Speaker 1: because I had it when I was going through puberty.
- 12:36Speaker 1: You should test it.
- 12:37Speaker 2: But now I'm just scared.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Yeah, you should test it out, boy logic. If I finished,
- 12:44Speaker 1: the sex must have been good for her too.
- 12:48Speaker 2: That's actually that's actually not me though neither. Actually I
- 12:52Speaker 2: don't think I too. I think that's wrong. I'm going
- 12:54Speaker 2: to call her out, okay, because most of the time
- 12:58Speaker 2: we can finish no matter what, and I don't assume
- 13:00Speaker 2: that it was good if I finished.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Good point.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Yeah, it's certainly good when I know they've finished. Yeah,
- 13:08Speaker 2: I'm gonna say that one's wrong. Okay, okay, straight out wrong.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Wrong.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Yeah, it's good for me obviously, feel like anything's good
- 13:15Speaker 2: for me. As soon as they get in the bedroom
- 13:17Speaker 2: is good for me.
- 13:17Speaker 1: That's a good point. Yeah, boy logic, I apologize when
- 13:21Speaker 1: it happened, so she shouldn't be upset anymore. Oh that
- 13:24Speaker 1: is so true, cut step that one I saw a
- 13:29Speaker 1: thing apparently. So guys and girls very different in many aspects, obviously,
- 13:35Speaker 1: But one aspect that we're different is so let's say
- 13:38Speaker 1: I do something or you do something to hurt our
- 13:42Speaker 1: a girlfriend a guy does. At the time of doing it,
- 13:47Speaker 1: she's in pain, she feels pain from that, and then
- 13:52Speaker 1: after you talk about it, she may obviously like be
- 13:57Speaker 1: feeling better once you realize what you did wrong, you apologize.
- 14:00Speaker 1: But apparently girls, when they think about it, they relive
- 14:05Speaker 1: the feeling of the first time it happened. Oh really, Yeah,
- 14:08Speaker 1: I don't think it's obviously like years later and obviously not,
- 14:10Speaker 1: but like I think the first like a little while,
- 14:12Speaker 1: girls will relive the actual feeling. So when a girl
- 14:16Speaker 1: brings something up and she wants to talk about it
- 14:18Speaker 1: again and we're all like, we've spoken about this already,
- 14:21Speaker 1: that what are you doing right now? That's in the past,
- 14:24Speaker 1: But for her it genuinely feels like it's in the depressing.
- 14:27Speaker 2: It feels like it's happening again. Yeah, she thinks about
- 14:29Speaker 2: that makes a lot of sense because I've never been
- 14:31Speaker 2: able to comprehend while like like it sounds cut through it,
- 14:34Speaker 2: but like, why are you're still so hurt when we've
- 14:35Speaker 2: dealt with it?
- 14:36Speaker 1: SAME's my logic in my brain goes is like why yeah,
- 14:40Speaker 1: which like isn't I guess it's not bad things who
- 14:42Speaker 1: you are as a guy, and we need to be
- 14:45Speaker 1: more but now knowing that thing, but like you don't
- 14:48Speaker 1: want to hear that, and then you don't want as
- 14:49Speaker 1: a girl, you don't want to hear that and then
- 14:51Speaker 1: just use it as an excuse to bring stuff up
- 14:53Speaker 1: all the time. But it is a thing that you
- 14:55Speaker 1: always apparently you can feel it happening again.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Actually, I don't
- 14:59Speaker 2: thought of it like that.
- 15:00Speaker 1: It's good to know boy logic. I said, oh yeah,
- 15:05Speaker 1: so she won't notice. I wasn't listening to a word
- 15:07Speaker 1: she said, I.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Did a fucking TikTok. It's like things you can say
- 15:13Speaker 2: when you're not listening. It's just like, oh yeah, interesting,
- 15:18Speaker 2: interesting to go on. And then if she's saying something, yeah,
- 15:22Speaker 2: this is me.
- 15:23Speaker 1: You know what I've gotten so so good at is
- 15:26Speaker 1: picking my spots while she's yapping to give a little
- 15:30Speaker 1: uh huh oh yeah, oh that's so weird. That's I've
- 15:36Speaker 1: picked my spots so well.
- 15:38Speaker 2: It's funny. I don't know if I can tell because
- 15:40Speaker 2: we're so close, but I'm some for some reason, always
- 15:42Speaker 2: in the room. When any girls in his life want
- 15:44Speaker 2: to yap to him, he goes, I'm just there like
- 15:53Speaker 2: I'm like this, shut up. I'm trying.
- 15:55Speaker 1: I'm trying to be engaged. In the conversation because I
- 15:58Speaker 1: do care, we still, but I just like if I
- 16:03Speaker 1: can't sometimes comprehend the detail that has to go into
- 16:07Speaker 1: something that happened, You know what I'm saying.
- 16:10Speaker 2: It's just a different dynamic of like the details of
- 16:12Speaker 2: a story don't need to be there sometimes, so like
- 16:14Speaker 2: I don't know, funny, it's just funny.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Oh man, boy logic. I bought her flowers for her
- 16:20Speaker 1: birthday last year. That will do until her birthday this year.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Not us, no, not us, not us no.
- 16:26Speaker 1: No.
- 16:27Speaker 2: I'm hoping one takeaway for any guys listening or seeing
- 16:30Speaker 2: our clips is that they will buy their girlfriend or
- 16:33Speaker 2: the person they're seeing a gift or flowers for no reason.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Yeah, no reason at all. The reason is because you
- 16:39Speaker 1: love her.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 16:41Speaker 1: You know what I figured out something nice happened to
- 16:44Speaker 1: me the other day. I went to my girlfriend's house
- 16:45Speaker 1: the other day. She was at work. She had left
- 16:47Speaker 1: her puppy at home, and because I was going there,
- 16:51Speaker 1: she left him and didn't wasn't worried about leaving it
- 16:53Speaker 1: for like eight hours. Yeah, So I went over there
- 16:55Speaker 1: and then he was down at the door as soon
- 16:57Speaker 1: was like unlocked the door he's like down at the
- 16:58Speaker 1: door waiting for me. Obviously, it's like, oh, puppy cut.
- 17:00Speaker 1: So I took him up to the lounge and just
- 17:01Speaker 1: cudd on with him, didn't notice anything around the house.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Sat there with him for like half an hour because
- 17:05Speaker 1: I was just like on my phone. I was just
- 17:07Speaker 1: fucking around with him because like, for some reason, when
- 17:09Speaker 1: you're with a puppy, it's just like the best thing ever.
- 17:11Speaker 1: And then I got up to do I think I
- 17:13Speaker 1: went to go get my computer out of my car
- 17:15Speaker 1: to do some work. And then I got off and
- 17:17Speaker 1: I saw in the kitchen bench there was pringles. There
- 17:21Speaker 1: was like a chocolate bar, and then a little pack
- 17:23Speaker 1: of Reese's pieces, your favorite and my favorite. And then
- 17:26Speaker 1: there was a note and it was just and she
- 17:28Speaker 1: wrote it as if it was from Henry and it
- 17:32Speaker 1: was funny and it was the cutest thing ever. But
- 17:35Speaker 1: that is the equivalent of flowers for boys. Yeah, we
- 17:37Speaker 1: said snacks, Yeah, snacks hundred. So I just want to
- 17:40Speaker 1: confirm that we've had that conversation before.
- 17:42Speaker 2: The equivalent. There isn't any equivalent. It's just any type
- 17:45Speaker 2: of gesture. Yeah, you could do it, just a little note.
- 17:47Speaker 2: I bet you would have been pleased if you got
- 17:49Speaker 2: on your pillow or something it said I love you.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Took a photo of it.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, photo of it. Do you like to
- 17:53Speaker 2: feel precious too? It was very nice way to her
- 17:56Speaker 2: hard snacks if you want to get there quicker. But yeah,
- 17:58Speaker 2: that's cute. All right, everybody, It's the lemmas time, and
- 18:08Speaker 2: if you want to submit a dilemma, it will be
- 18:10Speaker 2: in a description of the video and the Spotify and
- 18:13Speaker 2: or it's on our link tree or linking bios sorry
- 18:15Speaker 2: on Instagram. Scroll the bottom. He will say weekly Dilemmas
- 18:17Speaker 2: and that's where we submitted. It's completely anonymous. Okay, let's
- 18:20Speaker 2: do it.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Go.
- 18:21Speaker 2: I am desperate for some advice from you, guys. I
- 18:23Speaker 2: have a crush on a guy. Let's call him Guy
- 18:25Speaker 2: one Go one, Guy one. Oh shit, we are both
- 18:29Speaker 2: we are both seventeen, and we've known each other for
- 18:31Speaker 2: ten years. I'm pretty sure he likes me back, but
- 18:34Speaker 2: I'm afraid that I'm just delulu, and I also don't
- 18:37Speaker 2: want to ruin our friendship. I think he's given some
- 18:39Speaker 2: hints that he likes me, but I need your help
- 18:41Speaker 2: to find out whether he likes me or not so.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Here are some of the hints. Number one, not so
- 18:47Speaker 2: long ago, I got blackout drunk and another guy kissed me. Anyways,
- 18:51Speaker 2: I was talking to Guy one about Guy two and
- 18:53Speaker 2: he told me that Guy Too was taking advantage of me.
- 18:56Speaker 2: Then I responded saying, he isn't like that, he is kind.
- 18:59Speaker 2: Then guy on set, I am going to be as
- 19:01Speaker 2: kind as Guy too. What the fuck does that ever mean?
- 19:05Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 19:06Speaker 1: It means he likes you.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Number two. This is where it got me. We snap
- 19:09Speaker 2: all the time. Call me crazy, but I have started
- 19:12Speaker 2: counting how many snaps he sends me throughout the day.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Yesterday he sent me a total of.
- 19:17Speaker 1: I want you to guess, twenty seven, two.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Hundred and twelve snaps and that doesn't include chats. Number three.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Some of my friends have told me that he likes
- 19:28Speaker 2: me and that we should get together. Number four hint.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Guy one has also helped me reject other guys when
- 19:33Speaker 2: they have shown interest. One time, I had told Guy
- 19:35Speaker 2: one about another guy that liked me and I didn't
- 19:37Speaker 2: like him back. So Guy one talked me into writing
- 19:40Speaker 2: a text telling me that the other guy wasn't interested.
- 19:43Speaker 2: I gave guy on my phone and he wrote that
- 19:45Speaker 2: text and sentence. So fast am I to Lulu? Or
- 19:48Speaker 2: is he into me? What should I do? I'm scared
- 19:51Speaker 2: to tell him how I feel. Do you think that
- 19:53Speaker 2: if I tell him how I feel, he won't feel
- 19:54Speaker 2: the same or ruin our friendship?
- 19:57Speaker 1: Holy moley, what a roll coaster. I'm gonna say. It's
- 20:03Speaker 1: pretty damn obvious that he is in.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Love with you.
- 20:08Speaker 5: That's what I think of the well is in love
- 20:11Speaker 5: and he has been trying to do he is in
- 20:14Speaker 5: the friend zone, but he but he's not in the
- 20:17Speaker 5: friend zone, but he thinks he's in the friend zone,
- 20:18Speaker 5: and he has been playing the long game.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Holy shit.
- 20:23Speaker 2: And I thought this one was so cute because it's
- 20:25Speaker 2: young love. Ten years, you've known this guy. You've got
- 20:28Speaker 2: no idea about anything. You're like snapchats like he said this,
- 20:30Speaker 2: he's done this, he's sending text to deter other boys
- 20:34Speaker 2: like he's in love one hundred percent. And if you
- 20:37Speaker 2: love him back, are.
- 20:38Speaker 1: You one hundred snapchats?
- 20:41Speaker 2: If you like him back? Though, like find out.
- 20:45Speaker 1: You like him even if he doesn't like you. You
- 20:50Speaker 1: need to know because being friends with him while you
- 20:53Speaker 1: like him is not possible.
- 20:55Speaker 2: It's not healthy. No, not at all.
- 20:57Speaker 1: You know, it's not. It's just it's stupid. Been there though,
- 21:01Speaker 1: Like you want to stay friends with someone that you
- 21:02Speaker 1: like because you like him so much that you think
- 21:04Speaker 1: eventually it will change their mind. I've been young, I've
- 21:06Speaker 1: done it tried. Doesn't work, all right, doesn't work.
- 21:09Speaker 2: This is also, like I bet you so this is
- 21:11Speaker 2: her star the story. This is a little game of
- 21:13Speaker 2: like fucking oz tag tit for tat. So he's doing
- 21:16Speaker 2: all these things. I wonder if if he's sending a
- 21:18Speaker 2: di lemme in what she's doing back. Yeah, and they're
- 21:20Speaker 2: both he's not reading the signals. Yeah, go just tell
- 21:22Speaker 2: him and you like him? Literally, I bet you'll kiss
- 21:24Speaker 2: you straight away.
- 21:25Speaker 1: The best thing you can do in your life right
- 21:27Speaker 1: now is swallow your pride. Yeah, tell him you like him. Yeah,
- 21:30Speaker 1: tell him you've liked him for a while, ten years
- 21:32Speaker 1: and he is since the day we met, And tell
- 21:37Speaker 1: him that. Yeah, just just just say, I just need
- 21:40Speaker 1: you to know that I really like you. And that's
- 21:43Speaker 1: all you need to know. That information.
- 21:45Speaker 2: How many minutes are in a day?
- 21:47Speaker 1: How many minutes are in a day?
- 21:48Speaker 2: Yeah, to send what's sixty times twenty four?
- 21:51Speaker 1: He's sending once you like, he said to me, there
- 21:54Speaker 1: you could send one snapchat every minute for about an
- 21:56Speaker 1: hour and you'd be over two hundred minutes.
- 21:58Speaker 2: But like, oh no, sixty minutes for a.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Couple of hours. You just said to minute.
- 22:02Speaker 2: That's at least yeah, he said him like, same old day.
- 22:04Speaker 2: It's like for every fifteen minutes, he's saying, you're.
- 22:06Speaker 1: On his mind for twenty four hours of the day.
- 22:11Speaker 2: He dreams about him, wakes up and thinks about you.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Fuck me.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Find out girl, tell him you like him? Yeah, fall
- 22:17Speaker 2: in love.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Okay, this is a delusional girl's dilemma on a timeline,
- 22:22Speaker 1: So she's she's on a timeline here. Yeah, Hey Jke Noddy,
- 22:25Speaker 1: I hope you're super well on having the best day
- 22:27Speaker 1: in very short, she says, very short, it's long. I
- 22:30Speaker 1: really like a boy from work who was leaving in
- 22:32Speaker 1: a month since I don't believe in love at first sight,
- 22:35Speaker 1: but I may have been ever since I spoke to
- 22:37Speaker 1: him on my first day six months back. I started
- 22:41Speaker 1: this corporate job after graduation and a couple of shitty
- 22:44Speaker 1: casual roles later, he has trained me from ground up.
- 22:48Speaker 1: A lot of learning was self done, as that is
- 22:50Speaker 1: what this role is. We basically talk the whole day
- 22:55Speaker 1: and work closely, sharing responsibilities. I knew I cannot think
- 22:59Speaker 1: about too much because of how important my job is
- 23:02Speaker 1: to me. Plot twist. He is in Sydney and I'm
- 23:05Speaker 1: in Melbourne working remotely. Even if we are part of
- 23:08Speaker 1: the same team, it could never work, I know. Plus
- 23:11Speaker 1: the whole aspect of don't shit where you eat. Otti
- 23:14Speaker 1: loves that he's leaving for a promotion within the company,
- 23:17Speaker 1: but to a role that is not directly related to
- 23:19Speaker 1: my team. We may speak here and there or nothing
- 23:22Speaker 1: at all. Talking every day. We just start building a
- 23:26Speaker 1: friendship over inside jokes, music, ice, learning Spanish and stuff
- 23:30Speaker 1: like that. I know we get along pretty well. This
- 23:33Speaker 1: was initiated from him, obviously, to be nice and for
- 23:36Speaker 1: work very simple. I want to at least connect beyond LinkedIn.
- 23:40Speaker 1: I don't want to be left thinking what if and
- 23:42Speaker 1: believe in at least giving it a shot. I don't
- 23:46Speaker 1: know how to make this happen. I know it's not
- 23:48Speaker 1: the wisest, but I'm coming from the place of a
- 23:50Speaker 1: very shitty year, terrible year with dating, lost a parent,
- 23:56Speaker 1: but coping with it in the right ways and wanting
- 23:59Speaker 1: to make things happen organically. Don't people meet at work
- 24:02Speaker 1: all the time and end up together. Would love your advice,
- 24:06Speaker 1: and I'm good with this not going my way, your
- 24:08Speaker 1: advice and me shooting my shot. Thanks for making me
- 24:11Speaker 1: smile through the trenches. I love you, guys and always
- 24:14Speaker 1: will support you as a baddie. Love from Melbourne, Mumbai,
- 24:20Speaker 1: wherever else I go. Fuck she goes to Mumbai.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Okay, can you just recap? So she's working with this
- 24:24Speaker 2: guy sort of.
- 24:26Speaker 1: So she works. She works with this guy, all right,
- 24:28Speaker 1: he trained her from the ground up. She thinks that
- 24:31Speaker 1: she's now starting to think she's been in love with
- 24:32Speaker 1: him for six months since the day they met. All right.
- 24:35Speaker 1: They get along at work, they talk about stuff, they
- 24:38Speaker 1: have inside jokes, blah blah blah. Yep, Okay, he's getting
- 24:42Speaker 1: a promotion. He's leaving in a month, still at the
- 24:44Speaker 1: same company, but not in her in her area at all.
- 24:48Speaker 1: They're in said Sydney and Melbourne. He's in Sydney, she's
- 24:50Speaker 1: in Melbourne. Okay, So there's going to be a chance
- 24:53Speaker 1: they may talk when he leaves and goes up in promotion,
- 24:55Speaker 1: or they might not talk at all. She has had
- 24:58Speaker 1: a bad year with dating. She lost a parent in
- 25:00Speaker 1: the last year, but she really wants to make this
- 25:03Speaker 1: work beyond LinkedIn.
- 25:04Speaker 2: Okay, I don't know, man, Okay, it's not a big deal.
- 25:12Speaker 2: I don't like the fact that he trained her. That's
- 25:16Speaker 2: kind of sus like, I don't know that. It doesn't
- 25:20Speaker 2: run my stomach a little bit here.
- 25:23Speaker 1: I want you to think about this. Would you want
- 25:27Speaker 1: to be friends with him outside of work?
- 25:31Speaker 2: Look for her?
- 25:33Speaker 1: Yeah? Like, do you hang outside hang out outside of work?
- 25:36Speaker 1: And would you want to hang out outside of it? Obviously?
- 25:38Speaker 2: Would you reckon Yeah? Okay, I don't reckon eat Wood.
- 25:41Speaker 2: Oh you don't reckon eat would I don't notice the
- 25:43Speaker 2: dynamic shift, just me being a guy if I had
- 25:46Speaker 2: to train just say I was training a girl I
- 25:48Speaker 2: was attracted to. Let's give her the benefitlt that he's
- 25:50Speaker 2: attracted to her. As soon as I'm in this management
- 25:53Speaker 2: position and I'm training someone underneath me, no way, I'm
- 25:57Speaker 2: thinking of them in a remember a romantic way.
- 26:00Speaker 1: No, And you want to build rapport with the people
- 26:01Speaker 1: underneath you as well because you want them to respect you. Yeah,
- 26:04Speaker 1: to be a dickhead, especially if you're talking to him
- 26:06Speaker 1: all day every day. Yeah, he's just being nice. And
- 26:09Speaker 1: also you need to think about this, is it okay?
- 26:13Speaker 1: There's just there is massive risk in obviously one going
- 26:16Speaker 1: for someone in the company. And then also he lives
- 26:19Speaker 1: in Sydney and you live in Melbourne. If and it's
- 26:22Speaker 1: also because it's not like you're gonna if he agrees
- 26:26Speaker 1: with you and he says, oh I really like you too,
- 26:29Speaker 1: You're not just gonna up and move your whole life
- 26:31Speaker 1: to he just got promoted, there's no way he's choosing
- 26:34Speaker 1: you over promotion. I'm sorry, but there's no way he's
- 26:36Speaker 1: doing it. So basically, if you want to be with
- 26:37Speaker 1: him and not do long distance, you're gonna have to
- 26:39Speaker 1: go to him.
- 26:41Speaker 2: So yeah, the chances are I don't know. I don't
- 26:44Speaker 2: want to say that he doesn't because I don't not
- 26:45Speaker 2: inside his head. But you could do long distance for
- 26:49Speaker 2: a year. But what well, here's a good test. Should
- 26:51Speaker 2: she shoot her shot?
- 26:53Speaker 1: Not yet? Oh yeah, this is here's a good testy
- 26:56Speaker 1: Wait for him to be promoted, wait for him to leave,
- 26:59Speaker 1: and see he key keeps on messaging you on LinkedIn?
- 27:02Speaker 2: What is LinkedIn?
- 27:03Speaker 1: Tipt In is just like a thing for people in
- 27:05Speaker 1: jobs It's where you put your you can have your
- 27:07Speaker 1: resume on there, you can find jobs on there, you
- 27:08Speaker 1: can do It's like social media for business.
- 27:10Speaker 2: And that's the only place they talk.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Never had a LinkedIn? Is that the only place they talk.
- 27:13Speaker 1: That's the only place they've be chatting so far, because
- 27:15Speaker 1: that's how they know each other. Is No, I don't know.
- 27:17Speaker 1: I would say nah, after he moves, see what he does.
- 27:20Speaker 1: If he keeps on messaging you, then you want to
- 27:24Speaker 1: try and move it to like, oh here, can you
- 27:26Speaker 1: just like text me I'm sick of messaging on LinkedIn? Okay?
- 27:28Speaker 1: And that's when you see because if he moves and
- 27:31Speaker 1: he doesn't talk to you once ever, then you know
- 27:33Speaker 1: that he doesn't like you, because if he likes you,
- 27:34Speaker 1: he'll keep talking to you. I know if a guy
- 27:36Speaker 1: I know from a fact from personally, if a guy
- 27:38Speaker 1: likes you, he's gonna try and talk to you.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Too complicated for me. I'm tapping out.
- 27:42Speaker 1: I'm tapping out too. I'm saying I don't.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Even reckon you do that. I'm tapping out completely.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Or you're saying just like it's not gonna happen.
- 27:49Speaker 2: I don't think it's gonna happen.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Yeah, true, I.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Suppose it's if it was going to happen, it probably
- 27:53Speaker 2: would have happen by now.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Yeah, six six.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Months if he liked you and thought you were attractive,
- 27:57Speaker 2: like why not do it? Why not shoot your shot?
- 27:59Speaker 1: And can't argue with that?
- 28:00Speaker 2: Sorry sorry girl, but sorry. Yeah, I don't know. There's
- 28:04Speaker 2: something about I think I'm guilty of it, like the factor,
- 28:07Speaker 2: all these factors, like he's on a job above me,
- 28:10Speaker 2: like he lives over here. It's exciting. Yeah, it's like,
- 28:12Speaker 2: how can we make this work? Yeah?
- 28:14Speaker 1: This is exciting.
- 28:15Speaker 2: You play all these factors in your head. You're just like,
- 28:17Speaker 2: I'm going to fly to Sydney every weekend. Yeah, like
- 28:19Speaker 2: you do this. I'm like, oh yeah, we can FaceTime
- 28:21Speaker 2: every night.
- 28:21Speaker 1: I'll get transferred for work.
- 28:23Speaker 3: Yeah yeah.
- 28:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:23Speaker 2: You think of all these scenarios in your head and
- 28:26Speaker 2: then in reality it's not there.
- 28:29Speaker 1: Yeah you know what's crazy? Is that such a good point?
- 28:34Speaker 2: And yeah, and then also I'm just going to stand
- 28:36Speaker 2: by it. Don't ship where we yeah, especially the only
- 28:40Speaker 2: place I would go back on my word is if
- 28:42Speaker 2: you're in the same position, don't go someone higher than you.
- 28:45Speaker 2: All lower it, all lower than yeah, okay, I think okay,
- 28:49Speaker 2: just because there's some hierarchy. Magine, you don't want to
- 28:51Speaker 2: sleep with someone who's got power over you or who's
- 28:53Speaker 2: you've got power over and you.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Also, it's like starting to be with someone while you're
- 28:57Speaker 1: in the same company. It's just like it's just crazy.
- 28:59Speaker 1: And also so it's what if they're higher than you,
- 29:02Speaker 1: and then they're going to be more biased to you
- 29:04Speaker 1: for different things. And then people are going to complain
- 29:06Speaker 1: because they're dating. And I'm not saying that it's the
- 29:08Speaker 1: wrong thing and that you're not in love and you're
- 29:09Speaker 1: not worth like and like you're not good enough for
- 29:11Speaker 1: the certain position, but just like, stuff like this can
- 29:13Speaker 1: happen and it just makes it complicated, and then you're
- 29:15Speaker 1: in a tough position. He's in a tough position. The
- 29:17Speaker 1: only time it's going to work to date someone outside
- 29:20Speaker 1: of work is if let's say he gets promoted and
- 29:23Speaker 1: then you leave this job, you go find a better
- 29:25Speaker 1: job at a different company. Right then you guys connect
- 29:28Speaker 1: because your new job is in Sydney or so then
- 29:31Speaker 1: you connect like, hey, I'm working for this people, I'm
- 29:33Speaker 1: in Sydney, But you want to be out for a coffee,
- 29:35Speaker 1: like it's been a while, that's when it would probably work.
- 29:38Speaker 2: Yeah, but I'm going to lead it on this. If
- 29:40Speaker 2: he wanted to, he would have. And if you wanted
- 29:42Speaker 2: to make it work in the sixth month, you would
- 29:44Speaker 2: have already.
