- 0:20Speaker 1: of folding chair. No, they're asleep. They're asleep because guards
- 0:23Speaker 1: not only are issued uniforms, are also issued ambient pills.
- 0:28Speaker 2: And now handle on the news. Ladies and gentlemen, here's

- 0:53Speaker 2: I'm in studio, so.
- 0:55Speaker 1: And Neil, me and Amy and I just where you
- 1:00Speaker 1: have a just a ripper and good time talking before
- 1:03Speaker 1: the show, talking between and you brought cams and I
- 1:07Speaker 1: bought yeah it was that stonefire grill.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Yes, last night grill carry.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:13Speaker 2: I bought stonefire grill for everybody.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:16Speaker 2: And by the way, I just want to let you.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Know I I paid for it. Well, I was a
- 1:23Speaker 1: gift card, but Phil, I could have used it someplace else.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Thanks for breaking those stereotypes, buddy.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Okay, As I always say, if you cannot get it
- 1:35Speaker 1: free or wholesale, you don't need it at all.
- 1:40Speaker 3: There's the philosophy muscle took.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Thank you, Cono.
- 1:43Speaker 1: You Knowice, I left you out of the mix in
- 1:45Speaker 1: terms of by talking beforehand and during the breaks.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Have you noticed that I noticed? Okay, just want to
- 1:50Speaker 2: let you know I said that on purpose. Thank you.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Oh you will. Well, he's kind of busy.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:55Speaker 2: We were just talking.
- 1:55Speaker 1: About flying actually, uh, the three of us in the room,
- 2:01Speaker 1: and Neil I mentioned there was a story about what
- 2:04Speaker 1: is it long beach airplane landed on the beach, Oh,
- 2:07Speaker 1: Honnington Beach kind of neat and just right there on
- 2:09Speaker 1: the sand and it's some perfect shape. Usually when airplanes
- 2:12Speaker 1: have emergency landings are a mess. And Neil said, you
- 2:15Speaker 1: have ever been.
- 2:16Speaker 2: Up in a little airplane? I go, yeah, yeah, a
- 2:18Speaker 2: bunch of times.
- 2:19Speaker 1: And I said I soloed actually, and when I was
- 2:21Speaker 1: in my twenties I was good.
- 2:24Speaker 3: But we're talking about flying, not spending time in the closet.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Yeah exactly.
- 2:27Speaker 1: And so I actually solod because I was gonna het
- 2:30Speaker 1: my pilot's license. And the reason I soloed, and I'll
- 2:34Speaker 1: give you the reason. I'm so out of Van Eyes.
- 2:37Speaker 1: I flew out of the Van Ey's airport and when
- 2:41Speaker 1: I started and my first solo, and this is what
- 2:45Speaker 1: I wanted to do. This was the reason. Is the
- 2:47Speaker 1: control tower. I was cleared. You knows, Sessa eight six
- 2:51Speaker 1: four whatever. You're cleared for a takeoff, you're cleared for takeoff,
- 2:56Speaker 1: a touch and go, or you just touch and then
- 2:58Speaker 1: you take off again.
- 2:59Speaker 2: And the controller said that you are cleared.
- 3:02Speaker 1: And I said, Roger Wilco, over and out and how
- 3:07Speaker 1: cool are you? Yeah, And there was just silence for
- 3:10Speaker 1: just a second and the guy said, we don't say that.
- 3:17Speaker 2: What's your vector? Victor?
- 3:18Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 3:20Speaker 4: Man, I have driven with you a million times, and
- 3:23Speaker 4: I am frightened that you've been in the plane at
- 3:27Speaker 4: your own control.
- 3:28Speaker 2: You know you'd ask because I'm an aviation buff. Yeah,
- 3:30Speaker 2: I'm not a pilot. Because it's a lot of work
- 3:33Speaker 2: to fly.
- 3:34Speaker 1: You're looking around all the time, you're looking at the instruments,
- 3:37Speaker 1: you're looking at airspeed. You're not enjoying looking around and
- 3:42Speaker 1: just having a rip roaring good time, which is what
- 3:44Speaker 1: it's all about.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Anyway. Good morning, Neil, good morning to you. Good morning
- 3:49Speaker 2: Willie Wolfs.
- 3:50Speaker 1: And there is the lovely Amy, Good morning, Amy, good morning.
- 3:54Speaker 2: And Dodgers play today. They do. And we're not supposed.
- 3:57Speaker 1: To say the Dodgers are going to win or or
- 4:00Speaker 1: how they are favored, because she does not want it.
- 4:03Speaker 5: Jinxed exactly all right, So Dodgers, oh.
- 4:10Speaker 2: That's exactly they are going to kill the Blue Jays,
- 4:16Speaker 2: all right.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Hi, Hi, Hello, Anne Cono, good morning, good morning, Good morning, Will.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Where's Will out there? Well, you're there, I'm here here,
- 4:26Speaker 2: I'm just not there.
- 4:27Speaker 1: I can't see I know, I can't see in the
- 4:28Speaker 1: monitor because Will's down the home little.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Actually I'm not. I'm at home because I'm a little
- 4:33Speaker 2: under the weather. But yeah, I knew you were coming in.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Nothing about that. Think about that under the weather.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Will points that out because we don't have an airplane anymore.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Okay, so he's always under the weather. True. Yeah, that's deep.
- 4:49Speaker 2: So you're missing on on the carrot cake, Will, damn Yeah,
- 4:53Speaker 2: damn that.
- 4:54Speaker 3: But he's in his Chon's chilling.
- 4:56Speaker 1: That's true. That's true. That's why I like broadcasting at home.
- 4:59Speaker 1: I have of a thirty foot commute, and I just
- 5:03Speaker 1: literally just walked down the stairs going to the studio
- 5:06Speaker 1: and going my own shower.
- 5:08Speaker 2: I'm still in my pga E step in the summer
- 5:10Speaker 2: where I.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Go commando and the nards are going back and forth
- 5:14Speaker 1: and flying and hanging over the Chair's.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Fine, you know that? Is it true?
- 5:18Speaker 4: Will gives you custom report. It looks like the elevator
- 5:22Speaker 4: is clear. Right now, you can make way down from
- 5:25Speaker 4: the pisser.
- 5:25Speaker 2: All right, you should be there any minute. Okay, let's
- 5:28Speaker 2: do it, guys.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Okay, on a Friday, We've got plenty of stuff to cover.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Handle on the news with Amy neil Me lead Storrye.
- 5:39Speaker 1: A president, in a not surprising move, really got pissed
- 5:45Speaker 1: off the Ontario. Canada, in the country of Canada are
- 5:52Speaker 1: running ads in the US quoting and actually running ads
- 5:58Speaker 1: of Ronald Reagan talking about traps said he did during
- 6:01Speaker 1: a speech while he was president, ripping into tariffs as
- 6:04Speaker 1: to how bad they are.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Canada is running those.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Trump is so angry with that that he has just
- 6:11Speaker 1: stopped all negotiations with Canada.
- 6:13Speaker 2: That's it.
- 6:13Speaker 1: We're done with Canada over an ad and he says
- 6:17Speaker 1: it's fake news.
- 6:18Speaker 2: It is not. Ronald Reagan did say that? Is the
- 6:21Speaker 2: ad edited?
- 6:23Speaker 1: Well, yeah, to some extent, I'm reading all of I'm
- 6:26Speaker 1: reading the whole thing.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I've seen those.
- 6:29Speaker 2: It's edited.
- 6:30Speaker 1: I think the premise doesn't stop. Ronald Reagan does not
- 6:33Speaker 1: say I love tariffs. So edited Trump is right fake news?
- 6:41Speaker 2: Not quite.
- 6:43Speaker 1: But the bottom line is, don't don't piss off this president,
- 6:46Speaker 1: even if you are a country, don't piss them off.
- 6:49Speaker 4: And Canada still refuses to say sorry. So so who listen.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Who starts a fight with Canada? And then Canada is
- 7:02Speaker 2: just poking the bear too?
- 7:03Speaker 4: I mean exactly yes at this point, why because they
- 7:07Speaker 4: love bears, A lot of bears, because they're going Canada.
- 7:10Speaker 1: It's it's really interesting how after Trump said Canada should
- 7:17Speaker 1: be our fifty first state and a bunch of losers
- 7:20Speaker 1: who poked for so the prime minister Trump does, Yeah,
- 7:24Speaker 1: the prime the Prime Minister of Canada.
- 7:26Speaker 2: It was going to lose.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I mean, he was going to be wiped out in
- 7:29Speaker 1: the election. That saved him and the party came back and.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Strong, and they should do.
- 7:36Speaker 1: What they should do is think Trump, thank you, thank you,
- 7:40Speaker 1: thank you, you saved us.
- 7:42Speaker 3: He is a magnet, her attracts or repels.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, moving on.
- 7:48Speaker 5: No surprise, the twenty nine year old accused of starting
- 7:52Speaker 5: a fire early on New Year's Morning that a week
- 7:55Speaker 5: later erupted and turned into the deadly Palisades fires. Pleaded
- 8:00Speaker 5: not guilty in an LA courtroom. He's facing three federal charges.
- 8:06Speaker 5: Jonathan Rinderneck used to live in Pacific Palisades. They arrested him, remember,
- 8:11Speaker 5: in Florida earlier this month, and for these charges, he
- 8:14Speaker 5: could face up to forty five years in prison.
- 8:16Speaker 2: And he's going to get the ball too.
- 8:18Speaker 1: I think it's going to be consecutive and the jud's
- 8:19Speaker 1: going to give him max considering what happened well, and I.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Think it's going to be interesting to see.
- 8:23Speaker 5: Is he going to face charges for all the people
- 8:25Speaker 5: who died too that hasn't even come up?
- 8:28Speaker 1: Ye? Yeah. And he's going to spend the rest of
- 8:29Speaker 1: his life in jail, and he's going to be ordered.
- 8:31Speaker 2: To pay restitution. He doesn't have any money, that is.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Correct, but the restitution is going to be a whopper here. Now,
- 8:39Speaker 1: the interesting story is that he lit the fire and
- 8:42Speaker 1: a week later it exploded.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:45Speaker 5: Remember it was that one that started on New Year's
- 8:47Speaker 5: and it was like eight acres they put it out.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Yeah, the smolder they were obviously smoldering embers that reignited.
- 8:54Speaker 4: Yeah, so you've got a Senate bill that came in,
- 8:59Speaker 4: it's been blowed, and this had to deal with paying
- 9:01Speaker 4: federal workers during the shutdown.
- 9:04Speaker 2: So of course this seems not pretty.
- 9:06Speaker 4: Much sliced down partisan lines here, But this is about
- 9:11Speaker 4: those that have to work in the government, that just
- 9:14Speaker 4: have to work and whether they are going to be
- 9:18Speaker 4: paid during this time they have to work during the shutdown.
- 9:22Speaker 4: Regardless what am I missing here?
- 9:25Speaker 1: I don't know why the Democrats would kill this bill.
- 9:29Speaker 2: I just don't get it, because it's about paying.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Workers that have to be paid, you know, having nothing
- 9:35Speaker 1: to do with the extension of Obamacare and bringing back
- 9:41Speaker 1: the extension the addition of Medicaid people.
- 9:43Speaker 4: But you know, it's usually not what straightforward though bill,
- 9:47Speaker 4: it's something that's hidden. So Democrats are arguing that Johnson's
- 9:50Speaker 4: bill gave the White House Budget Director Russell Vought way
- 9:54Speaker 4: too much leeway on determining which workers would get paid
- 9:57Speaker 4: which would not, and they felt they were going to
- 10:00Speaker 4: you know, Yeah, and.
- 10:01Speaker 1: The Republicans are saying it's a clean bill, you know,
- 10:03Speaker 1: it's only what we have before. That's not true. There
- 10:06Speaker 1: are changes, not huge changes. I mean, we're not talking
- 10:09Speaker 1: about Obamacare extension. I mean big, big stuff. But you know,
- 10:13Speaker 1: it's it doesn't matter. I was listening to an interview yesterday.
- 10:16Speaker 1: If the Democrats say yes, the Republicans say no, If
- 10:19Speaker 1: the Democrats.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Say you most, if instead of listening.
- 10:23Speaker 1: If the Democrats simply say it's raining outside, no, no.
- 10:28Speaker 2: It's not. Okay. Don't you think that goes both ways? Yes, okay, yeah,
- 10:31Speaker 2: but that's the problem.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Yes, it's only a problem if it goes both Yeah. Yeah,
- 10:37Speaker 1: it absolutely goes both ways. If the Democrats say it's raining, no,
- 10:41Speaker 1: it's not. If the Republicans say it's raining, no, it's
- 10:44Speaker 1: not yet unless they both go outside and get wet,
- 10:48Speaker 1: then they agree.
- 10:48Speaker 2: No, they'll never agree. No, persons, I'm just sweating.
- 10:52Speaker 5: Yeah, this one big.
- 10:56Speaker 2: The NBA, the mafia.
- 10:58Speaker 5: And millions and millions and sports and poker bets, Portland
- 11:03Speaker 5: Trailblazers head coach and Hall of Famer Chauncey Billups, also
- 11:07Speaker 5: Miami guard heat Terry Rosier or Rosier, and former NBA
- 11:11Speaker 5: journeyman Damon Jones among thirty four people indicted. There's two
- 11:16Speaker 5: separate federal gambling investigations that they uncovered or announced yesterday,
- 11:22Speaker 5: and they involve players like fixing games, kind of like
- 11:27Speaker 5: coming out of a game early to affect some of
- 11:30Speaker 5: the prop bets. That's weird and which could affect millions
- 11:33Speaker 5: and millions of people because of all the online sports betting.
- 11:35Speaker 5: And then the other one was had to do with
- 11:39Speaker 5: poker games where they would like lure people into to
- 11:43Speaker 5: play these high stakes games by using celebrities and stuff.
- 11:47Speaker 5: And then they have X ray machines so they could
- 11:49Speaker 5: see the cards on the table. They have cards shufflers
- 11:53Speaker 5: that can sort of manipulate the cards, and the mafia
- 11:57Speaker 5: is involved.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Do you know to an interview on CNN, I do
- 12:02Speaker 1: CNN radio sometimes coming in in the morning. Sorry about that,
- 12:05Speaker 1: George instead of George Nori. So Terry not a problem, Bill,
- 12:11Speaker 1: I know there was, So I don't know who it was.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Just take this pill, but it will feel better. Were
- 12:16Speaker 1: you saying talking about Terry Rosier who's a ballplayer? And
- 12:21Speaker 1: he mentioned right after Rosier was talking to Venusians Because
- 12:25Speaker 1: this was just as George Norry was ending the guy
- 12:30Speaker 1: makes twenty six million dollars.
- 12:31Speaker 2: What the hell is he doing?
- 12:33Speaker 1: You know, why would you do that to make fifty
- 12:36Speaker 1: thousand dollars.
- 12:37Speaker 2: None of that makes sense.
- 12:40Speaker 1: I mean, I can see the mafia guys who are
- 12:42Speaker 1: ripping people off. I can see former players maybe.
- 12:46Speaker 2: You know no longer have the money.
- 12:47Speaker 4: But come on, guys, well you remember when Winona Ryder
- 12:50Speaker 4: was cut stealing?
- 12:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that's cut the yet. Yeah, but that's
- 12:52Speaker 2: what I'm saying.
- 12:53Speaker 4: Maybe there's some maybe you know, I'll buy that, just
- 12:56Speaker 4: some compulsion there.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Maybe he got in with the mafia and they forced
- 13:02Speaker 2: him to do it. Maybe maybe the mob was all
- 13:07Speaker 2: over this place.
- 13:09Speaker 4: All right, So more garbage comes out of Pacific Palisades.
- 13:13Speaker 4: Of course, when you have that much damage and that
- 13:15Speaker 4: much rebuilding to take place, people are going to have
- 13:18Speaker 4: pretty deep emotions tied into it. In this one deals
- 13:22Speaker 4: with Gladstone's longtime community staple. We've all been there, we
- 13:27Speaker 4: love it, and they're looking to rebuild and to do
- 13:31Speaker 4: something different. The plan calls for demolishing the existing twelve
- 13:35Speaker 4: thousand square foot seafood restaurant and replacing it with an
- 13:39Speaker 4: even larger one seventeen thy five hundred square foot but
- 13:43Speaker 4: contemporary dining space. You're looking at the celebrity chef Wolfgang
- 13:48Speaker 4: Puck going in there, Frank Airy, Frank Garry, Yeah, Walt
- 13:53Speaker 4: Disney Concert Hall, Googenheim Museum.
- 13:56Speaker 2: I know this is whos in Santa Monica. You know
- 13:58Speaker 2: that Frank Gary.
- 14:00Speaker 3: I did not know.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Yeah, he lives in He has a tin roof on
- 14:04Speaker 1: his house. Is a relatively small house. Uh, you know,
- 14:07Speaker 1: it's uh, you know, it's a Frank Garry kind of house.
- 14:10Speaker 1: The architecture, but the guy is world famous. And this
- 14:13Speaker 1: is so they're gonna go from a restaurant to a restaurant. Yeah,
- 14:16Speaker 1: but Gladys Stone was falling apart the building.
- 14:19Speaker 4: Yeah, but you know, it's hard when you're emotionally attached
- 14:22Speaker 4: to these things. So neighbors, even though it was passed
- 14:24Speaker 4: unanimously to get the right to do this, you've got
- 14:28Speaker 4: residents saying that they're saddened by it. You know, you're
- 14:31Speaker 4: gonna they said, they're gonna there's gonna be less parking
- 14:35Speaker 4: and things like that. The stuff that you can't really
- 14:37Speaker 4: argue about is, oh, it's going to cause disruption, you
- 14:40Speaker 4: know what. There's gonna be construction in that area for
- 14:43Speaker 4: a long time. Unfortunately.
- 14:45Speaker 5: Yeah, this isn't the only thing built in that area.
- 14:47Speaker 5: It's just sad because Gladstones is so iconic.
- 14:51Speaker 4: And it was approachable and we don't know if this
- 14:54Speaker 4: one is going to be higher costs, so it's not
- 14:56Speaker 4: going to be approachable for locals or the same talking.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Talking about how cost amy, let's do this one and
- 15:01Speaker 1: then we'll take a break.
- 15:02Speaker 5: Okay, Oh, still high, but lo two three percent is
- 15:08Speaker 5: the new inflation numbers that were just reported Friday. They
- 15:11Speaker 5: were delayed by a week because of the government shutdown.
- 15:15Speaker 5: Economists had expected prices to go up three point one
- 15:19Speaker 5: percent in December. They rose three percent. Two point nine
- 15:24Speaker 5: percent was the year over year increase for August.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Yeah, but so well what the Fed wants to two percent?
- 15:31Speaker 2: And we're not going in that right now.
- 15:32Speaker 1: We're not going in that direction two percent. So inflation
- 15:35Speaker 1: is hitting us. I mean, we things are more expensive.
- 15:38Speaker 1: I just bought the horrible sandwich shut down the hall
- 15:41Speaker 1: at our machine thing.
- 15:43Speaker 2: It was just some misch in decaffetorium. Yeah. Yeah, the flavor,
- 15:48Speaker 2: it's just like the last I don't even know. That's
- 15:52Speaker 2: like an egg salad sentwe well that's what.
- 15:54Speaker 1: They say, but who we I didn't know that egg
- 15:56Speaker 1: salad sandwich. I egged were purple. They didn't have like
- 15:59Speaker 1: raw to Yeah. The point is that sandwich a couple
- 16:04Speaker 1: of years ago was three ninety five, it's five eighty six.
- 16:07Speaker 4: Well, you know what, I was talking to Ann yesterday
- 16:10Speaker 4: about this, because she's a big Halloween person too and
- 16:12Speaker 4: decorates her house. We're talking about candy. We spent over
- 16:16Speaker 4: one hundred dollars on candy, and that's our first haull.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Yes, there's no kid on the planet that's worth one
- 16:21Speaker 2: hundred dollars for candy. Give me a break. CBS has
- 16:24Speaker 2: a buy one, get one for a buck, right now,
- 16:27Speaker 2: huh huh, And then you can make a mummy out
- 16:30Speaker 2: of the receipt. All right, we'll be exactly good point.
- 16:33Speaker 2: That's a very good point.
- 16:34Speaker 4: Contaminated meat from grocery store maybe causing your ut eyes.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Good night everybody.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that's fairly new. So this is.
- 16:46Speaker 4: A long standing belief, apparently that urinary tract infections are
- 16:50Speaker 4: largely caused by poor personal hygiene.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Yeah, and they enter the arethra.
- 16:56Speaker 4: No great, Aretha Franklin, Yeah, Ureith for Franklin. Yeah, but
- 17:01Speaker 4: there's this news, this new research that suggests that many
- 17:07Speaker 4: cases may actually be caused by infectious e coal I
- 17:10Speaker 4: back terrier from contaminated meat. I always thought it was
- 17:14Speaker 4: a UTI was from contaminated meat.
- 17:17Speaker 2: WHOA, Okay, let's let's move on on that one. Amy,
- 17:21Speaker 2: you want to take that, Let's move on.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Uh.
- 17:26Speaker 5: Letitia James, new York's attorney general, wants her case to
- 17:30Speaker 5: be dismissed.
- 17:32Speaker 2: She's filed a notice.
- 17:34Speaker 5: Her plan or her team plans to ask for her
- 17:37Speaker 5: indictment to be dismissed because of the appointment of President
- 17:41Speaker 5: Trump's handpicked prosecutor, Lindsey Halligan. The two page brief also
- 17:47Speaker 5: included a footnote referring to another recent indictment against former
- 17:50Speaker 5: FBI Director James, the same thing.
- 17:53Speaker 2: He wants his case dismissed.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Yeah, both of them are arguing the same thing. In
- 17:56Speaker 1: the case of Letitia James, the attorney general for the
- 18:05Speaker 1: Southern District of Virginia.
- 18:07Speaker 2: I think Leticia James, Yeah, she stayed in New York.
- 18:10Speaker 1: No, no, I understand, but I think it was filed by
- 18:12Speaker 1: the Southern District. If I'm not mistaken anyway. Who the
- 18:16Speaker 1: previous one refused, refused to indict, refused to go forward,
- 18:22Speaker 1: and so Trump fired him and replaced with her who
- 18:25Speaker 1: had never done a prosecution in her life. She was
- 18:28Speaker 1: his attorney. But here is going to be the argument,
- 18:31Speaker 1: even if President Trump instituted it, certainly with Komi, and
- 18:36Speaker 1: he said he should be indicted, he should be tried,
- 18:38Speaker 1: he should be put in jail. I think the argument's
- 18:40Speaker 1: going to be notwithstanding any of all that there is
- 18:43Speaker 1: still enough here to convict. There is still a crime here.
- 18:47Speaker 1: I think the courts are going to say that's right.
- 18:49Speaker 1: I don't think the case is going to be dismissed
- 18:52Speaker 1: because Trump going after her obviously for political reasons, and
- 18:57Speaker 1: her being guilty or not mutually exclusive. So I don't think.
- 19:02Speaker 1: I don't think it's gonna be dismissed. We'll see.
- 19:04Speaker 2: It's that's a hard row to hoe or a hoe
- 19:07Speaker 2: to row.
- 19:10Speaker 4: Okay uh Alaska Airlines didn't they have some problems in
- 19:16Speaker 4: the past as well. They had some of the Boeing issues. Well,
- 19:18Speaker 4: they just had a new one yesterday. They experienced an
- 19:22Speaker 4: IT outage and it affected operations.
- 19:25Speaker 3: Obviously, they.
- 19:28Speaker 4: Dealt with massive headaches at the gates and people were
- 19:33Speaker 4: delayed and people were upset. I've never had that kind
- 19:37Speaker 4: of catastrophic experience.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I've seen delayed. I've seen parts that were I've.
- 19:47Speaker 4: But I you know, I think going to your wedding,
- 19:51Speaker 4: as a matter of fact, there was some issue like
- 19:53Speaker 4: you had to be there thirty minutes to be proved
- 19:57Speaker 4: to leave out of don't a or something, some weird thing,
- 20:02Speaker 4: some weird thing, but never knock on anyway.
- 20:05Speaker 1: So they're grounded by this it issue issue. I thought,
- 20:08Speaker 1: I said, uti issue because we're doing it because of
- 20:11Speaker 1: the filthy meat. Because of the filthy meat.
- 20:13Speaker 4: You would be filthy, you filthy, disgusting meat.
- 20:16Speaker 2: All right, penny for your thoughts.
- 20:18Speaker 5: You can't say that much longer because apparently some retailers
- 20:21Speaker 5: are running out of pennies without enough pennies. According to
- 20:25Speaker 5: a spokesperson for Quick Trip, which is a convenience story,
- 20:29Speaker 5: says stores can't make the correct change for cash transactions.
- 20:32Speaker 5: The Treasury Department officially stopped making pennies earlier this year,
- 20:39Speaker 5: which came after President Trump told the department in February
- 20:42Speaker 5: to stop making It costs three cents to make a
- 20:45Speaker 5: one sentence.
- 20:45Speaker 1: He's right, Well, think about this, What a pain in
- 20:49Speaker 1: the ass those pennies. You go in and you get
- 20:52Speaker 1: change four cents because something goes five oh one or whatever.
- 20:56Speaker 2: You don't just round up or round down.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Done, gonna have to do that to the five cent markers.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Yeah, of course they are.
- 21:03Speaker 1: I mean, you know, pennies make no sense. You know
- 21:06Speaker 1: in England there are called pins you know that named
- 21:10Speaker 1: after Pence, I know, named after Mike.
- 21:12Speaker 2: They he's a real big here, he's really old.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Yeah, but anyway, they it's it doesn't make any sense.
- 21:19Speaker 4: Then he didn't want to get rid of the penny.
- 21:21Speaker 4: He said, every penny is sacred. Okay, all right, So
- 21:27Speaker 4: onto the Poultergeist. The Poultergeist House in Seem Valley. You
- 21:31Speaker 4: remember that the quits essential eighties house. Yes, well, the
- 21:36Speaker 4: owner of the home that was featured in that nineteen
- 21:40Speaker 4: eighty two blockbuster movie Poultergeist.
- 21:42Speaker 3: Not the remake is available on Airbnb.
- 21:45Speaker 2: What a sec? It imploded. Yes, it's just a hole
- 21:49Speaker 2: in the ground.
- 21:49Speaker 4: So they hooked up a they hooked up a hose
- 21:52Speaker 4: in a pump and it turned out it just needed
- 21:54Speaker 4: to be refilled.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:57Speaker 4: Have you ever seen the special effects on what it
- 21:59Speaker 4: yet to plowed?
- 22:00Speaker 1: That?
- 22:01Speaker 2: It was brilliant. Yeah.
- 22:02Speaker 4: So apparently the story goes that they were reading the
- 22:05Speaker 4: script and the special effects advisors are going through it
- 22:09Speaker 4: and they're like, and it it spelled wrong.
- 22:13Speaker 3: It should be exploded right, and then no, it implodes.
- 22:17Speaker 4: You can rent, you can so, Yeah, and I guess
- 22:19Speaker 4: they've they put a bunch of furnishinges and horror films
- 22:23Speaker 4: and nineteen eighties nostalgia in there there.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Yeah. Ok, there's a lot.
- 22:27Speaker 4: There's a haunted mansion, Disney themed one in Fullerton that
- 22:32Speaker 4: looks a maze balls and I think it goes for
- 22:34Speaker 4: six eight hundred dollars a night during this season.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Yeah, but those are friendly ghosts casts you it's got it. No,
- 22:42Speaker 2: I mean the michelin Man ghosts. They what do they
- 22:44Speaker 2: call him, Neil?
- 22:45Speaker 4: Happy haunts, Happy haunts, Yeah, nine hundred and ninety nine happy.
- 22:50Speaker 5: Haunts, exactly, different kind of ghost. Good news if you
- 22:55Speaker 5: don't want to grow up.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Get it toys. R Us is reopening stores across the.
- 23:00Speaker 5: Not a ton of them. Two of them are in California.
- 23:03Speaker 5: They say that they're going to open thirty new locations,
- 23:06Speaker 5: including a flagship store at the Camerio Premium outlets. Oh
- 23:11Speaker 5: that's a good outlet, and from Captain Obvious. They say
- 23:14Speaker 5: the news stores are designed as convenient, family friendly destinations.
- 23:18Speaker 5: No kidding, Lego, Barbie, hot Wheels, Nerve, Paw Patrol, all
- 23:22Speaker 5: your favorite goods.
- 23:24Speaker 1: I thought that the toys that the brand name toys
- 23:27Speaker 1: r US was bought by someone else. I thought it
- 23:29Speaker 1: was Macy's. Yeah, I think they put it in. Yes,
- 23:31Speaker 1: so originally, what toys are us? They try? Toys is us?
- 23:35Speaker 1: And what were you doing, buddy? That didn't work so well?
- 23:40Speaker 1: Pot don't take all of us in with you, Okay,
- 23:43Speaker 1: moving on, pull over and let us get out, moving out,
- 23:46Speaker 1: moving on. Yeah, just stop the car.
- 23:50Speaker 4: You do what you want, Okay, Neil, I'm just putting,
- 23:55Speaker 4: you know, like when you go grocery shopping. I'm putting
- 23:57Speaker 4: a little rubber space between you and me.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Okay.
- 24:01Speaker 4: Elon Musk taking name at the head of NASA. He's
- 24:04Speaker 4: pissed because I guess NASA said, hey, we may or
- 24:07Speaker 4: may not use SpaceX MASS. I mean it's a lucrative contract, obviously,
- 24:14Speaker 4: but in some of their projects transporting astronauts to the
- 24:17Speaker 4: moon and surface again and all those things, I guess
- 24:22Speaker 4: the head of NASA made mentioned that they may or
- 24:25Speaker 4: may not. His name is Sean Duffy, and so now
- 24:29Speaker 4: Elon Musk whichest man in the world started calling him
- 24:32Speaker 4: names and because dummy sean dummy, that's a good one.
- 24:35Speaker 3: And then he's duty pants too, bro.
- 24:37Speaker 1: And yeah, the argument is that but they have a contract. Well,
- 24:40Speaker 1: they have a contract, but he has breached the contract
- 24:43Speaker 1: must now because it's just onn't over.
- 24:46Speaker 2: Time, it's just delayed, delay, delayed.
- 24:48Speaker 1: So Duffy is saying, Okay, we're thinking of going someplace
- 24:51Speaker 1: else where else is he gonna go, oh, there's a
- 24:54Speaker 1: blue horizon, there's uh are they proven you can't do boeing?
- 24:58Speaker 2: No, we had problems with that, Darliner.
- 25:00Speaker 1: They did, they did, so I think they're going to
- 25:04Speaker 1: default because Musk is miles ahead of anybody else in
- 25:08Speaker 1: terms of technology, and sir, they are.
- 25:10Speaker 4: But don't you love the fact that the only one
- 25:12Speaker 4: that can go past any sort of deadline and budget
- 25:16Speaker 4: is the government. We still have that high speed rail
- 25:21Speaker 4: debacle going on, and it's like it's going to cost
- 25:24Speaker 4: billions of billions more.
- 25:25Speaker 3: That's okay, your government.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Mostly when people get upset about that. But what are
- 25:28Speaker 1: you gonna do? I mean, can you sue the government? Yeah,
- 25:30Speaker 1: you sue the government.
- 25:32Speaker 2: But how are you still the higher speed rip. Yeah,
- 25:34Speaker 2: how are you damage? Well, that's not going to happen.
- 25:36Speaker 2: I say they're making an airbnb.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Yeah, they're in way, way too deep on that. All right,
- 25:41Speaker 1: I think we have time for one more.
- 25:43Speaker 5: Oh look, ma, no hands and no eyes either. General
- 25:46Speaker 5: Motors has unveiled new eyes off driving technology. Mary Barrow
- 25:52Speaker 5: says it's going to be available starting in twenty twenty eight,
- 25:55Speaker 5: and then during this unveiling this week, she said, imagine
- 25:58Speaker 5: you step into your vehicle, you push a button, and
- 26:01Speaker 5: it drives you to the office. You catch up on work,
- 26:03Speaker 5: send emails, or watch an episode of your favorite show.
- 26:06Speaker 5: The card drops you off, then it goes to get
- 26:08Speaker 5: your dry cleaning, take out for dinner, and comes back
- 26:11Speaker 5: in time so you can drive the kids to their
- 26:13Speaker 5: soccer game.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Blind double amputees are thrilled with this. They really are
- 26:19Speaker 2: looking at this GM vehicle.
- 26:22Speaker 4: Okay, another SpaceX story. This is a weird ass story
- 26:28Speaker 4: legal battle between SpaceX and that that dark game Cards
- 26:33Speaker 4: Against Humanity of your loves that game.
- 26:36Speaker 3: It's you live it bill. Cards against Humanity.
- 26:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, just the against hum Humanity.
- 26:42Speaker 4: But it's a pretty dark but fun uh card game there.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Well, it's this is a weird story.
- 26:49Speaker 4: Lawsuit says that the card company accused SpaceX of ignoring
- 26:53Speaker 4: posted no trespassing signs while dumping construction material, gravel and
- 26:58Speaker 4: other debris on the land there. And yeah it was
- 27:03Speaker 4: over land. Yeah that they have in your Mexican New
- 27:07Speaker 4: Mexico borders.
- 27:08Speaker 1: And it just just because SpaceX, it becomes huge news.
- 27:11Speaker 1: All right, one last one, Amy, We have to pull
- 27:13Speaker 1: this one out because this one is just too delicious
- 27:15Speaker 1: for words.
- 27:16Speaker 5: Just a pinch of salt didn't taste very sweet. Because
- 27:20Speaker 5: kids at a middle school in one of my little hometowns,
- 27:23Speaker 5: tiger To, Oregon, which is a suburb of Portland, say
- 27:26Speaker 5: that students got served pretzels with oven cleaner sprinkled on
- 27:31Speaker 5: them earlier this week.
- 27:32Speaker 2: How could that happen?
- 27:33Speaker 5: Because it was granulated oven cleaner and most mistakenly applied
- 27:38Speaker 5: to the pretzels.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Why is this the story?
- 27:40Speaker 1: So what oven cleaner on pretzels served the kids?
- 27:44Speaker 2: Come on, big deal? It was a few dead kids.
- 27:48Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I will say if that is the only
- 27:54Speaker 4: similarity between the two things, you fire everybody and you
- 27:59Speaker 4: relabel get a brother. There are those brother labelers are
- 28:02Speaker 4: cheap go in there and put poison salt.
- 28:06Speaker 2: We're going to take a break. We are done. This
- 28:10Speaker 2: is kf I A M six forty. You've been listening
