Latest / Worldview Matters With David Fiorazo / Jeremie Johnson: Leaving A Legacy Via Christian Education
Transcript
- 0:00So our mission at Grace Christian Academy is discipleship, that is the heartbeat.
- 0:15And so our mission statement is that Grace Christian Academy is a Christian school that
- 0:19exists to disciple students towards leaving a legacy of walking with Christ, producing
- 0:22wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man.
- 0:25And that's our heartbeat.
- 0:27It has been that way for the last ten years and that's what we continue to come back to
- 0:31for every class, every subject area that we teach, everything that we do, it's all wrapped
- 0:36around discipleship.
- 0:37And yes, we teach the ABCs and one, two, threes, we do that as well.
- 0:41But for us, it starts with discipleship and then all of those academic courses are
- 0:46blended in from there.
- 0:51Welcome to World View Matters, discussing controversial issues, discerning current events,
- 0:58defending biblical Christianity, no topic, off limits.
- 1:04And now, here's your host, David Firazo.
- 1:08Welcome friends, family, and Christ, thank you so much for joining us.
- 1:12We appreciate you and thanks for your prayers too for this podcast.
- 1:18Before I bring in today's guest and you have an idea of what we are going to talk about
- 1:21based on the video you just saw, I'm going to give you the website of GraceChristianAcademy.School.
- 1:29GraceChristianAcademy.School based in Green Bay, Wisconsin, we're going to bring on Jeremy
- 1:34Johnson, the head administrator.
- 1:36In fact, let's bring him in right now.
- 1:38He's in studio with us because we're in Wisconsin too.
- 1:41So good to see you brother.
- 1:42Yes, thanks brother.
- 1:43Thanks for having me on.
- 1:44Thanks for coming in.
- 1:45So before we, we're going to learn a lot about, you know, how homeschooling, how academies
- 1:50work, how private schools, Christian schools work, we're going to learn a lot about that
- 1:54from the founding to what they're doing today that's new and that could help you.
- 1:58Plus, their partnership with Freedom Project Academy, that's very interesting, something
- 2:02that maybe you guys can do depending on where you're at in the country.
- 2:06But I've got some exciting news and I was debating on whether or not to break it this
- 2:11week.
- 2:12But I'm going to.
- 2:13Because in six months, we're going to be holding a world view matters conference in Green
- 2:19Bay, Wisconsin at the Delta Hotel by Marriott, May 1st and 2nd.
- 2:25And I pretty much have 90% of the speakers that we're going to have their lined up and
- 2:29they're all guests on the podcast.
- 2:31I just want to mention some of them, okay, all of them.
- 2:35Let's see Elijah Abraham, who was just on last week.
- 2:39He's coming up from Texas.
- 2:40We've got Scott Shera, Grace's dad, our amazing Grace.
- 2:44Dr. Jake Jacobs, one nation he's been on recently, Jay Seigert from the starting point project,
- 2:51Laura Perry-Smoltz, former transgender.
- 2:54Her website is Eden's Redemption, also Gary Cah, author and a former Europe and Middle
- 3:01East Trade Specialist, his website Hope for the World, Olivier Melnick, Messianek
- 3:06Zhu, and he'll be talking about anti-Semitism and so much more Tim Chafee from Answers
- 3:12and Genesis, and also Midwest Apologetics.
- 3:16Let's see, Ken Michael from Olive Tree Ministries, Understanding the Times Radio, Mark and Amber
- 3:22Archer, and possibly pray for us, Pastor Jack Hibbs, maybe making an appearance, we're
- 3:29waiting to hear a confirmation on that.
- 3:31But everything else is set to go, we're going to be in the planning and sponsorship, everything
- 3:36else putting together a website, so I'll let you know when it's up and running, but I'm
- 3:39excited about that World View Matters conference.
- 3:42So Jeremy, you'll be there, he said, right?
- 3:44Hey, with that line up, I will definitely be attending.
- 3:47That is amazing.
- 3:48Well, I'm excited.
- 3:49I mean, I've never put on a conference, but this God's been working on me, and I said,
- 3:55you know, the body of Christ needs it, and he puts the call.
- 3:59You'll be fine.
- 4:00Yes.
- 4:01And what else does the body of Christ need?
- 4:05Children to be educated in the Lord?
- 4:08That's huge.
- 4:09I mean, one of the reasons our country looks the way it does is because of the government
- 4:14run school system, which is, let's just face it, friends, we've talked about this before,
- 4:20it's a godless system, it's based on secularism and all kinds of other religions, but just
- 4:24not Christianity, anything goes in the public schools.
- 4:28So I want to ask you about Grace Christian Academy.
- 4:32I know you moved to Green Bay, what, three, four years ago, three years ago, three years
- 4:35ago.
- 4:36Tell us about the founding, first of all, and how did you get involved with Grace Christian
- 4:41Academy?
- 4:42Sure.
- 4:43Well, again, thanks for having me on the show, really appreciate being on here.
- 4:45I know we talked about it for a while, so it's great to be here.
- 4:48And so Grace Christian Academy really was in the early 2000s, Jamie Jackson was our founder
- 4:53for the school, and present for a very long time.
- 4:57And it was about a decade after that where, before the school even opened in 2014, but
- 5:03before that, laying the groundwork in prayer, laying the groundwork in the Word of God as
- 5:07to, what is this vision, where do you want me to go?
- 5:10And so for Jamie, on her heart, was this vision of leaving a legacy.
- 5:15And so that's part of our mission statement is leaving a legacy of walking with Christ.
- 5:19And ever since then, it was continuing to for, take that vision and form it into, what
- 5:25does this look like?
- 5:26How do we actually walk this out when it comes to leaving a legacy of walking with Christ?
- 5:30And so Luke 252 plugged into that, that it's, again, discipling students towards leaving
- 5:36a legacy of walking with Christ, producing wisdom, stature, and favor of God and man.
- 5:40And so we stood on that mission statement since it started in the early 2000s, opened
- 5:45in 2014, and at that point too, which I know we'll talk about, we said we need someone
- 5:50to partner with to help bring some over our classes in, and Freedom Project was that
- 5:55partner.
- 5:56So let's, let's talk about if there's someone that's affiliated with a Christian school
- 6:02or Academy in, I don't know, Nebraska or in some other state Tennessee or wherever else
- 6:08in the country, how did, how did you partner with, how does that work with Freedom Project?
- 6:13So when we started in 2014, originally, it was just going to be kindergarten through
- 6:18second grade, because to us, it made sense that, hey, you start with the lower levels
- 6:22and every year, you're just at a level.
- 6:24But God is God.
- 6:25He's going to do things His way, not our way, and His plans are higher than our plans,
- 6:29His ways higher than our ways.
- 6:30And so God's like, nope, it's going to be K through 12.
- 6:34And so we knew we had to be obedient to that, but it's like, well, how are we going to
- 6:37do this?
- 6:38And so when I was in public school for about 10 years, I heard a Freedom Project, and I was
- 6:45actually using an online platform that they were using at the time, and I said, boy,
- 6:50this looks like a platform that maybe we could partner with to bring in some classes
- 6:54that we can't afford to teach.
- 6:56We can't bring in a whole new staff starting the school off in those pioneering years.
- 7:00You just can't do that.
- 7:02And so we need to, we said, let's go down there and visit them.
- 7:04So we're like, they're in Appleton, let's go down Appleton, came the headquarters, met
- 7:08with them, and we basically just said, help us to do this.
- 7:12But we're opening up the doors for a new school.
- 7:14It's a discipleship school, but we need classes that we can actually bring in for the junior
- 7:20high and for the senior high, and we can't afford teachers to do that.
- 7:23Can we partner with you in this homeschooling platform to do that?
- 7:27And it was right away, an immediate, yes, let's work something out.
- 7:32And so since 2014, we've been partnering and through the years, while things have looked
- 7:37different through the years, we've been able to keep that partnership.
- 7:40And it's been amazing.
- 7:42Every time that we call down here and try to change things up a little bit, say, hey,
- 7:47we want to see if we could do this, or we want to try to do this, they've been so flexible
- 7:51and just helpful in doing that.
- 7:53So one more follow up question to that.
- 7:56Some people might be wondering, well, how does that work if you're in Green Bay and you're
- 8:00partnering with Freedom Project Academy, which is, it's based in Appleton, but it's online
- 8:06school and you could take it from anywhere.
- 8:08So there are teachers that are, they could be from a different state to Florida or anywhere
- 8:14else, and they're teaching on, how does that work?
- 8:18Yeah.
- 8:19So at Grace Christian Academy, we have your traditional brick and mortar school.
- 8:22And so through K through sixth grade, we have traditional classes with traditional teachers
- 8:27that are in the rooms.
- 8:28But then when we get in the junior high, when the sixth grade on up through 12th grade,
- 8:33that's where we will actually bring in some of those classes from Freedom Project Academy.
- 8:38And there's three different formats they use.
- 8:40They have the live classes.
- 8:42They have the anytime classes and now homeschooling platform.
- 8:45And we use all three of them.
- 8:46Wow.
- 8:47And part of what we have developed over the years is saying, well, how can we continue
- 8:52to state of this call of discipling students towards leaving a legacy of walking with
- 8:56Christ and do what we do and do it even better with partnering with FPA?
- 9:01And these anytime classes, when they came in and these homeschool classes, they came
- 9:05in like, this is what we're looking for, so we can have some flexibility in the schedule
- 9:08because otherwise we're kind of locked in to the live classes all the time.
- 9:14And so currently, we have a couple of live classes, which are teachers from across the
- 9:18country, with other students across the country for some of our kids.
- 9:22But a lot of the anytime classes, we facilitate those courses.
- 9:26And so what will happen is that the students will watch videos and they'll do these assignments
- 9:31that are assigned by teachers across the country.
- 9:34But then we have teachers, staff that are there that are act as facilitators to help tutor
- 9:38them, to help run science labs, and do whatever needs to be done to enrich that platform.
- 9:43That's amazing.
- 9:44That's amazing.
- 9:45That's amazing.
- 9:46And therefore, they submit their assignments and things, and we're just able to help
- 9:50them out.
- 9:51So the students are kind of getting the best of both worlds, and they're going to take
- 9:54the class and have actual hands-on help.
- 9:56So they come into Grace Christian Academy in Green Bay, and they'll take whatever class
- 10:03that might be from someone else will be teaching that, and then there'll be a teacher there
- 10:07to facilitate.
- 10:08Right.
- 10:09That's amazing.
- 10:10Yep.
- 10:11So tell us about the programs.
- 10:12I should be looking at the website as you're talking, but I don't want to be rude.
- 10:15But there's so much on your website.
- 10:17Again, friends, Grace, ChristianAcademy.school, so about some programs that maybe you'd like to highlight.
- 10:23Sure.
- 10:24Being a discipleship ministry, discipleship school, that is our program.
- 10:29That is.
- 10:30That's our co-curricular, as we always say.
- 10:33And so we are a smaller school currently.
- 10:35We have 37 students, but we are pre-K, 3K all the way up through 12th grade this year.
- 10:41And so we teach and facilitate all those class levels all the way through.
- 10:46And it's not just traditional classes and teachers that are in the room.
- 10:51We have FBA, which you talked about.
- 10:52And then also this year, we've been able to do dual enrollment options.
- 10:55And so we've partnered with different universities.
- 10:59Christian Halls is another one that we've partnered with to do different types of options
- 11:02for our high school, the Legacy Making Academy.
- 11:06And we are very much into application of our faith as well.
- 11:10And so when it comes to the cycling, it's not just memorizing the word of God, which
- 11:13is wonderful, but we also need to put that faith into action because if we're just staying
- 11:19in silence, which you've talked about quite a bit, silence is telling, right?
- 11:24And so we need to be a body of believers that's active in the community, in the public
- 11:28square.
- 11:29And so part of our discipleship program is just that.
- 11:32We're the things that they're learning.
- 11:33We take and we apply out into the real world.
- 11:36And so staying relevant with the times and what's happening in the world.
- 11:39These are things that we want to be teaching in the classroom.
- 11:42And so students will have a reason for the hope that's within them when they talk to
- 11:45people.
- 11:46Praise God.
- 11:47And obviously, maybe well, obviously to me, because I've been talking about this with
- 11:52other guests, people like Alex Newman and so many other Sam Sorbo, Heidi St. John, so
- 11:57many of the guests that I get to learn from one benefit of doing this is a student to
- 12:03teacher ratio or teacher to student.
- 12:06How do you teach?
- 12:07Right.
- 12:08Tell us about that because that must be a blessing to kids to have a little bit more
- 12:12individual help and attention.
- 12:13Yes.
- 12:14Yes, it truly is.
- 12:15It's a model again that we have plans in our minds, but God has plans is a much higher.
- 12:21And so we knew that we always wanted to have that teacher to student ratio lower.
- 12:26And currently it's 10 to 12 that would be in a room.
- 12:29But what's really developed over the last 12 years for us is more of that one room schoolhouse
- 12:34type of model.
- 12:35And so we have elementary work kindergarten through second grade are together in one
- 12:41room.
- 12:42And then we'll have third through fifth grade there together in one room are junior
- 12:44higher together and our high schoolers are together.
- 12:47And so we found that that is really beneficial in a number of ways because there are things
- 12:51that the older students are helping live and learn as an example to the younger ones.
- 12:57And then also it's encouragement for them to continue to live for Christ in those ways
- 13:03and reveal that.
- 13:05And so our day starts with chapel every day with a whole school.
- 13:09So our staff, our students, everyone is together and chapel every day.
- 13:13And then we break off to the different classes, but then like lunchtime recess and other opportunities
- 13:18throughout the day, we do together as a school.
- 13:21And so to have that big brother, big sister model, but in the example of Christ where they
- 13:29can actually live that example out for these younger students to see that, it's been phenomenal.
- 13:36I mean, we have really enjoyed that model so we continue to use it because it's been really
- 13:40beneficial to the program and especially when it comes to discipling students.
- 13:43Yeah.
- 13:44Excellent.
- 13:45So I know you mentioned the legacy making academy high school programs or anything else
- 13:50you wanted to add before we move on.
- 13:52Sure.
- 13:53So a few years back, again, there's just a vision that was put on a number of our hearts
- 13:59and I guess it started with me with this legacy making academy is that, all right, first
- 14:02off, high school.
- 14:03I don't like that brand.
- 14:04Let's brand this with something that is coming from the truth of the Word of God.
- 14:08And if we're leaving a legacy, walk with Christ, well, let's have that as part of our program.
- 14:12So we have the legacy making program.
- 14:14And part of this program, again, is really threefold.
- 14:17One is staying relevant with the times that we're in.
- 14:20These students, they're facing things that you and I never had to deal with.
- 14:23And so we need to disciple and train and equip them in ways that they're going to be ready
- 14:27to have an answer for that and to be able to stand for truth and love in the public
- 14:32square, right?
- 14:33And so being relevant is important.
- 14:35Secondly, I already mentioned his application.
- 14:38Being about applying our faith is what we want to do.
- 14:40We'll be doers of the Word and not just being able to just have an answer for certain things
- 14:47or or spit things back out on a test.
- 14:50We want to be able to be a body believers that's active in the community.
- 14:55And then thirdly is just when it comes to students and their giftings and deposits.
- 15:01God has wired us and made us in so many unique and amazing ways.
- 15:04He's got a variety, right?
- 15:06Yes.
- 15:07And we celebrate that.
- 15:08And so we get some interviews done with our students as to what are some of their interests,
- 15:14what are they enjoy, what are they like.
- 15:17And then we try to cater some of that education to go around them throughout their four years
- 15:22in the high school.
- 15:23So literally by the end of their junior senior year, I even told their seniors this year.
- 15:27I said, if you're not on campus half the time this year, praise the Lord because that
- 15:31means that you're going out to observe, to volunteer, to learn, to apply your faith in
- 15:36the community.
- 15:37And so that's very much what we want our program to be about.
- 15:40So really quick, we didn't mention this at the beginning.
- 15:44One of our recent guests on World View Matters was Amber Rocky, Amber Lee Creative.
- 15:48There she is.
- 15:49And she designed the Grace Christian Academy website.
- 15:54And not only that, her daughter attends Grace Christian Academy in Green Bay.
- 15:59So I thought that was an interesting connection too.
- 16:01Yeah, we've been so blessed with so many people coming alongside and God raises them up,
- 16:06right?
- 16:07And so that very first year that we opened our doors with, and Jamie Jackson was there.
- 16:12So he was our founder, our president of the school board, head administrator, teacher,
- 16:18and everyone helps with janitorial stuff.
- 16:19I mean, because you have to take off the garbage, you take it out.
- 16:22And so that first year we had that, then the jacks as they left for China.
- 16:26And because they had missions that were putting their heart to go.
- 16:30And so the rest of us, like, well, is this, is this it?
- 16:32Is this all it's going to be?
- 16:33It's just these, these, these few months.
- 16:36But God raised other people up, equipped different people to come in.
- 16:39And since that first year, that's where it's been like these over these 12 years, where
- 16:43people are like Amber Rocky and others that have come into the school, whether it's families
- 16:49that have enrolled, whether it's just people that we know through church or different places,
- 16:54have just said, do you need help?
- 16:57Do you need equipment?
- 16:58Do you need resources?
- 17:00What are some of the needs?
- 17:01And so what I've found is that a big part of my place has had a administrator is to share
- 17:05the needs of what God is doing in the school, but also what are some of the needs of the
- 17:11ministry.
- 17:12And so we've been blessed with so many people like Amber to help out.
- 17:15You mentioned earlier, Jeremy.
- 17:17By the way, we're speaking with Jeremy Johnson, Grace Christian Academy, dot school, how
- 17:24the landscape has changed in America.
- 17:28Did you mean the public school system?
- 17:30Did you mean what young people, what any, any young person K through 12 are dealing with
- 17:35with Hollywood technology, social media, the world today?
- 17:39What did you mean by that?
- 17:41And how does that relate to the challenges and education?
- 17:43Sure.
- 17:44David, all the above, you just mentioned them.
- 17:47Again, our students, they're, they're facing challenges today with technology and AI and
- 17:51things that we never had to deal with.
- 17:53We actually had barriers, you know, that would prevent us from getting into trouble and
- 17:58doing things, right?
- 17:59Yeah.
- 18:00Well, now kids have access 24, seven to so many different things.
- 18:03And so in, in discussing the vision of discipling at GCA, it's a matter of how can we equip them
- 18:10in ways in which the technology will not manage them, but they'll manage the technology,
- 18:15right?
- 18:16And then same thing with different things are going on in the world and society, you know,
- 18:20how do we take the word of God and start there on that foundation and how can we use the
- 18:26word of God?
- 18:27What did he speak to these things that are happening in our world today?
- 18:31Whether it's things that are prophetic and nature that people are seeing around them,
- 18:36or if it's just how do we, how do we handle these issues that are before us that we never,
- 18:41some of these things are items that we never thought we'd have to deal with and they're
- 18:44before us.
- 18:46And so they're very real time issues that our students have to, to hear and try to understand.
- 18:52And then again, know how to have an answer for that.
- 18:55And I think that's one of the things when I think of freedom project, especially with
- 18:59a FPA and partnering with them.
- 19:02One of their lines that they used for so long is teaching kids how to think and not
- 19:06what to think.
- 19:07Yes.
- 19:08And that's very much what we stand on as well, because if we're just about, all right,
- 19:12memorize this, spin it back out in a test and that's all you need to know, then they're
- 19:16going to be good at being told what to do.
- 19:19But when we continue to say, well, let's critically think about the information we have
- 19:24before us.
- 19:25And let's see what the word of God has to speak to that.
- 19:28And then as they go into the world, they can continue to look at that in the lens of
- 19:34the Bible, being Bible based and being Christ-centered.
- 19:37And therefore can speak into these things with truth and love and not just, well, that's
- 19:42what the world told me.
- 19:43Culture says it's fine.
- 19:44So that's what I'm going to do.
- 19:45No, what is the word of God's say?
- 19:47And let's start applying that because others need to know the truth as well.
- 19:50Amen.
- 19:51So I don't want to run out of time before we talk about something you, did you send
- 19:57me this website?
- 19:58The Christian Educator's Expo in January, 24th, 2026.
- 20:05It's in Green Bay.
- 20:06Tell us about that and how are you involved with that?
- 20:09Yeah.
- 20:10So very excited about this.
- 20:11A few years back, we regrouped, I guess you could say, the Christian Educator's Committee
- 20:19through the Serv Network.
- 20:21And I know Amber had talked about this when she was on the podcast about Sherry Birol
- 20:26and spearing up the Serv Network in Northeast Wisconsin.
- 20:31And one of the arms, I guess you could say of that is the Christian Educator's Committee.
- 20:36And so in talking together with private schools and homeschoolers and discipleship ministries
- 20:42across Northeast Wisconsin, we're like, well, what can we do to get the word out there
- 20:46to share with people about what God is doing in our area when it comes to options for
- 20:50Christian education?
- 20:52And so one of the ideas that came out of that committee was the Expo, the Christian
- 20:56Educator's Expo.
- 20:57And so last year was our first one that we did.
- 21:00And we ran it at the cup of joy.
- 21:02We had Dr. Duke there that spoke for Dr. Duke, talking into education.
- 21:07And Pastor David Roth was there as well as keynote speakers.
- 21:11And then we had a number of private schools and homeschoolers and different types of vendors
- 21:17that were there that were just sharing on what God was doing in their ministry, their
- 21:21school.
- 21:22And then parents, it's free.
- 21:24And so parents and families, they could come for free and not only see the options that
- 21:29are in Northeast Wisconsin when it comes to Christian education, but more so to understand
- 21:33that it's not about building silos.
- 21:36We're together when it comes to raising our children up in the Christian faith, right?
- 21:42Parents first and foremost, they are mandated in the Word of God to do that.
- 21:47And then there's all kinds of different opportunities, different organizations that come
- 21:51alongside and help in that.
- 21:53And it's not just private school and homeschool, there's so many different blends of that.
- 21:57We just shared how freedom project and us partner together.
- 22:00And they're mostly an online homeschooling platform, classical Christian education.
- 22:05And we're able to pull from that and do some things in a traditional setting for Grace
- 22:11Christian Academy that you normally won't see.
- 22:13And even with homeschooling families, like we partner with some homeschooling families
- 22:17to flex into our school at times to take a class or two.
- 22:20So there's so many different options that are out there and we feel this expo is doing
- 22:24a great job at communicating some of those options for our families to come and see.
- 22:28So I want to mention, you said it fast and for people that are outside the area, don't
- 22:31know what, cup of joy is, it sounds like a coffee shop.
- 22:35Cup of joy is a venue, they are music venue.
- 22:39They hold concerts, Christian concerts every Friday and Saturday night, but they also open
- 22:43up there.
- 22:44They have a very nice building, very nice facility there in Green Bay for other events
- 22:48too and that's where this is going to be on January 24th.
- 22:52You can go to servewifriends, servewi.com or there's a whole link is for the Christian
- 23:00Educator's Expo is servewi.com slash educators and then there's slash serve.
- 23:07But I think it's easier to just go to servewi and just scroll down to events or look for
- 23:13the events tab if you're interested in that.
- 23:15So why would a family or parents or maybe another homeschooling organization, why would
- 23:21someone want to come to the expo?
- 23:22What are they again?
- 23:23What do they learn?
- 23:24Sure.
- 23:25Yeah, so there's a lot of times I think parents may be overwhelmed with, well, I can't
- 23:29homeschool.
- 23:30You know, there's so many things I'd have to try to learn or resources that I don't know
- 23:35how to teach.
- 23:36I can't teach biology.
- 23:37I can't do this.
- 23:38And they probably have college degrees, right?
- 23:39I don't know how to teach my kids could be.
- 23:42I think that's part of it is that as parents, we just get overwhelmed with, well, I'm not
- 23:48able to do this.
- 23:49Well, first off, you're right.
- 23:50You can't, but God can through God, all things are possible.
- 23:54And so this expo is really a way for them to just come and see not only what is out there,
- 24:01but to get confidence in equipping them to say, yes, you can.
- 24:05And there's many different ways in which that can look and there's many different people
- 24:09that can surround you in this to help with educating your kids.
- 24:15And so whether it's full out homeschooling or private schooling or a blend of all that
- 24:19or the different discipleship ministries that are in the area, there are a lot of ways
- 24:23that you can partner with people to help get this done.
- 24:26By the way, one website that we did not give today, when you were talking about partnership
- 24:30with Freedom Project Academy, friends, you can go to FPEUSA.org slash partnership.
- 24:38There it is, FPEUSA.org and Find Out About Partnership there.
- 24:45So yeah, we just have a couple minutes left, Jeremy.
- 24:47So I just want to ask you about like the enrollment process.
- 24:52So you're already covered, you've already full for 2025 going into 2026.
- 24:57So the next enrollment period for parents that are still on the fence or gathering a lot
- 25:03of information on homeschooling going to an academy where you are in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
- 25:09Just tell us about that, what that process is and when would they have to consider enrolling.
- 25:14I guess you got to go to the website, fill in some forms.
- 25:17How does that work?
- 25:18Yeah, well, in a perfect world, everyone would do it by a certain date, right?
- 25:23In a certain time.
- 25:24It's just not reality.
- 25:25We're all people and we're going to do things different ways.
- 25:29So we have very much relied on the Holy Spirit this whole process in the past years because
- 25:34there's no hard deadlines.
- 25:35Well, you got to draw a line this year somewhere and so we will start opening up enrollment
- 25:41in January of 2026 for the next school year and it's coming up fast and then we'll
- 25:48have some deadlines that we put out there for people to have enrolled by.
- 25:54So usually it's by July 4th that we say, okay, that's the cut off.
- 25:57You know, when people have to have things in, but the bottom line is God has got it again.
- 26:02And sometimes there's people that come to our school that it's evident, the affirmation
- 26:07for the family and affirmation for us at the school that, okay, God is opening the door
- 26:11here and making a way.
- 26:12So we're going to be obedient to that because that's, he's in who we trust.
- 26:17And so it's happened a lot of different ways, but ideally, yes, it would be January we
- 26:21start opening things up for enrollment and the sooner the better you're looking for schools
- 26:25to get in, whether it's Grace Christian Academy or any place, you know, continue to put
- 26:30up before the Lord and prayer, continue to get it surrendered to him.
- 26:33He will continue to lead you, he'll continue to make a way and you continue to equip you
- 26:37as well.
- 26:38So are the dates pretty much the typical, you know, public school, school years, is it
- 26:43start like in late August or September and go through what, April, May?
- 26:48How does that work?
- 26:49Yeah, for us, we start typically the last week of August and then we'll go all the way
- 26:52through before Memorial Day and May.
- 26:55That was very similar, you know, dates, so okay, so not a lot of surprises there.
- 26:59Jeremy, this was education, even for me.
- 27:02I'm old enough, I can still keep learning, so that's a good sign.
- 27:06Again, friends, one more time, the website, just, just mark this, you're going to probably
- 27:09run into someone who's going to need to get information about homeschooling or a Christian
- 27:14Academy, Grace Christian Academy, dot school.
- 27:18One more question, real quick, we have 20 seconds, you're furthest drive for a student.
- 27:23How far away are they coming from?
- 27:25I'm probably in the sea more area somewhere in there.
- 27:29How many miles?
- 27:30Maybe 20 miles or so.
- 27:3120 miles?
- 27:32Yeah.
- 27:33Just, I'm just curious off the top of my head.
- 27:34Jeremy, good to see you.
- 27:35Yeah, thanks for having me in.
- 27:36Thank you for coming in and continued good success with Grace Christian Academy.
- 27:40Friends, thank you, education is such an important topic and it's not going to go away because
- 27:44the school system in America is irredeemable.
- 27:48That's not just my opinion.
- 27:49I think there's a lot behind that that would show there are problems just can't be overcome.
- 27:54So it's fine.
- 27:55Good alternatives.
- 27:56Anyway, thanks for watching, listening and sharing.
- 27:58God bless you and as always, keep speaking the truth about things that matter.
