Latest / Fandomonium! A Fandom Comedy Game Show / Taskmaster - Products of Misconception vs Moderate Chutzpah
Transcript
- 0:18Hello, and welcome to Gates Leapers, the pop culture game show that shines
- 0:22a spotlight onto everyone's favorite fandoms. I'm your games master, and I am
- 0:27powerful and in peak physical condition. Also Matt Watson. But of course we
- 0:32couldn't play these games without our team captains, a pair of sit down comedians
- 0:36ready to perform for points handed out at my whim. First, she's up
- 0:41to the task. It's Audre Stevenson. Hello, and he's a fellow master,
- 0:46so I have no choice but to respect him. It's Aaron Randolph.
- 0:50Why, Hello, Hello, captains. Are you ready for a series of
- 0:54games about a revolutionary comedy game show that undeniably influences this very podcast? Hell
- 1:00yeah, oh yes, so stoked? Hell yes, well this is one
- 1:04of my favorite things, I mean period. Of all the things on task
- 1:10Master has to be among them. Yes, it's perfect, it's it's just
- 1:14fantastic. And because because you host, because fuck you, that's why.
- 1:19Also a panel show. Yes, I mean you must be like me.
- 1:22Taskmaster must just consume your life in places. Oh my god, the amount
- 1:26of ideas I have stolen from task Master is excessive, but genuinely like how
- 1:33can you not love like controlled chaos like it's it's it's genius on every level.
- 1:40I feel like, uh, and it's so much fun that we've actually
- 1:42done two episodes of task Master on our show in an audio medium. It
- 1:49was insane, but the the single, the single best thing that anyone's ever
- 1:55heard Stevie spending five minutes trying to come up with a single advert still one
- 2:02of my favorite things ever ever and it still makes me cry with laughter when
- 2:07I listen to it. Oh man, I'm gonna have to go back in
- 2:09the archives and check that one out because it's. Yeah, it sounds amazing
- 2:15and a fate as well to produce an audio Taskmaster. Oh yeah, it
- 2:20was a lot of work. It was very difficult. It was a lot
- 2:22of editing, but when it was so rewarding, beautiful and ultra We watch
- 2:29every episode together, so either you're also a big fan or you resent our
- 2:34downtime. It is the former huge fan of task Master. I think it's
- 2:40one of those shows, Like some people have those shows where they can just
- 2:44put it on all the time and rewatch it. The only one I think
- 2:47I could do that with is task Master. Some people could do that with
- 2:52any show they like. No just task Master because I noticed different funny little
- 2:58things each time. At one point we were watching like a best Bits compilation
- 3:04or whatever of seasons we'd seen three or four times, and they did something
- 3:08and we both just laugh out loud. Again. It's just so joyous.
- 3:14Yeah, the little soundbites, the little quotes out of context. It's so
- 3:16good for that kind of thing. Yeah, okay, good. You're both
- 3:21mega fans. I'm a mega fan. We're all mega fans. But to
- 3:23play these games about task Master, you'll each need to pair up with a
- 3:28fellow funny fellow. I said fellow twice. Now I've said it three times.
- 3:34So, Aaron, who is your teammate today? Well, my fellow
- 3:38funny fellow is another fellow from the PF. It's my fellow funny fellow.
- 3:45Ogie. Hello, welcome back to the podcast. Hello, how are you
- 3:50doing good? Are you guys doing good? Doing good? I'm gonna get
- 3:54straight to it. Ogie. Are you also a Taskmaster fan? Well?
- 3:59I am. Now we knew we were coming on the show immediately to nice
- 4:06to watch this, no I I, and soon I fell in love with
- 4:10it. At the moment I watched it, I was actually introduced from our
- 4:15show. That was the first time I ever was introduced the test Masters.
- 4:17Actually was when they asked me, Hey, you want to be on our
- 4:20podcast? Hey do you want to be on task Master on our podcast?
- 4:24Oh? Nice? That was literally my first introduction to that show. And
- 4:28Ever your debut, Yeah and Ever, Yeah, my debut. That went
- 4:31over well, it did. We had a live audience for that one,
- 4:38and they loved it. Dude. I was speaking in tongues and wearing a
- 4:40German helmet see out of contact stuff. It's hilarious. That was the best
- 4:46part anyways. But yeah, I love that show man. It's nice.
- 4:54Nice. Every season is a winner, but I mean, yeah, this
- 4:57current season is turning me inside out. It's so funny. Sue Perkins and
- 5:01Lucy Beaumont is so she's so just wonderfully loopy, Like, yes, are
- 5:11so much. She's fantastic. I knew she was married to John Richardson for
- 5:15a reason, Like it's very clear now, like they're perfect for each other
- 5:21period. Definitely, absolute nonsense people, incredible, fantastic. Aaron and Oki,
- 5:29you'll make a great task Master team. But Uldra who is joining you?
- 5:32He's a podcaster, a streamer and a veteran. It's Stevie of bfytw
- 5:38Oh Stevie, I made it. Yes, I'm excited. I am so
- 5:44excited. Oh my gosh, guys, this is gonna be awesome. Hell
- 5:46yes, welcome back to the podcast, Stevie. How you doing doing great?
- 5:49Doing great? Like happy? Like everybody's here, like some of my
- 5:54favorite people are here. Well Jason isn't here. You know why. That's
- 5:59right? Okay, hey, everybody who's watching check this out. You can
- 6:04probably hear it too. Jason doesn't exist. Okay, this again, this
- 6:09again, it's just Matt doing a voice. He just does it and post.
- 6:16You know, we're here, we can see what's happening. They pause
- 6:19and they wait, and then his add like lines later. It's crazy.
- 6:23I mean, yeah, it takes more work than to actually make a friend,
- 6:26but we we do it. Uh No, I'm starting to see your
- 6:30point, Stevie, because this is three episodes in a row where it's just
- 6:31so happened to line up this way. That's too many now, like one
- 6:39is like okay, two is a coincidence, Like three is a pattern?
- 6:42That's the pattern? Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, No, you sound
- 6:46like one of those rational conspiracy theorists where it's like, yeah, actually,
- 6:48I'm starting to see the evidence here, like rational one. See he said
- 6:51rational Aron Aaron, it's recorded. If we had that met him that one
- 6:58time, we'd think the same. But oh yeah, oh yeah, needing
- 7:02him like I'm a gately Bruce Patreon member, I've seen video, so okay,
- 7:09give props to video, like your three D skills, because I mean
- 7:13you make a pretty convincing three D fake Jason. Yeah, hours of effort.
- 7:18The waxwork is really tough because this room gets quite hot, so it
- 7:25does start to Matt. That's really why we take breaks like strike to wax.
- 7:30Yeah, matthim T salts all the way. I'm a purist, so
- 7:36yeah, hashtag Jason don't exist, ye, but okay, patronize Jason's food
- 7:45truck anyway, Yeah not imaginary. Yeah he's faked. The truck is real
- 7:51because Jason is fake with the food is very real. So Jason based conspiracy
- 8:01theories aside. Stevie, are you a fan of Task Master? A fan
- 8:05would be considered a fanatic. I am more of just an enthusiast. I
- 8:09am not like deep into it, but I've watched a few seasons. Nice
- 8:13nice. I really do enjoy the entire concept of task Master. Most recently,
- 8:20we haven't catched up with season sixteen, which has been fine. Oh
- 8:22god, yeah, you'll make another great team. I think we've got some
- 8:26great task Master balanced teams today. It's all it's all fair. Yeah.
- 8:31Yeah, it's weird that the captains know more than the teammates, but uh
- 8:35yes, usually right. I think it's because this is with it being a
- 8:41panel show type thing. It's so mata, it's so we are doing a
- 8:43panel show about a panel show. Yeah. Absolutely, well, okay,
- 8:48teams, just to let you know, every task today will be a team
- 8:52task. So I'd like each pair to come up with a task Master themed
- 8:56team name. Please, let's start with Aaron and okay, I've already got
- 9:01nailed you do. I had a hand. But I am particularly fond of
- 9:09season five finale episode where they sing to rosalind uh and based on that,
- 9:16my favorite bit from that whole thing, I would like to call our team
- 9:20products of misconception. Ooh, a good reference and a good team name,
- 9:26better than anything I had. Yeah, all right with that, all right,
- 9:31easy ass, Just products of misconception. I like it. The alternatives
- 9:35were the undiverse stripes and also just simply a boat full of piss. Yes,
- 9:45I was just gonna my line. I was gonna do like Matthew's chosen,
- 9:48just so we can try to see if you can edge in there early.
- 9:54I'm not scoring the team name. Yeah, it's it's as much as
- 9:58it might help to get into the good graces of the task Master on the
- 10:01real show. Somehow I feel that won't work here. Oh yep, I'm
- 10:07a concrete wall. Things never look like they do on the shows. So
- 10:13we have products of misconception. But let's find out who they'll be facing.
- 10:18Audra Steepe, I have a couple on deck nice chest as options, guys,
- 10:24I only had one and I didn't reference anything. What is it?
- 10:30The Mischief, the mischievous task Moisters? Okay, that's good, Yeah,
- 10:35horrible. I like Task Myisters different. I think that's probably one of their
- 10:41European spin offs, one of them. It's the German version. Yeah,
- 10:46yeah, I love the Taskster. Yeah. Why you answer these questions now?
- 10:52We because that the series was made in the nineteen eighties. Yeah.
- 11:00The names that I had a couple of them are Mike Wasniak references, which
- 11:05is a later season. So TikTok it's task o'clock. Or one of my
- 11:13favorite things is when he undermines the vole, So undermine the vole or voles
- 11:20comma undermine or no hotspur or some huts. But if we do feel as
- 11:28though we have hutspots amount, all right? Is that what you're going with?
- 11:39Yeah? Moderate amount of amount? Might these are quite long? Just
- 11:46to get into the matter of it all here, These are quite long episode
- 11:48titles that might not fit. So can can I go with some hutspur for
- 11:52yours? Is some hutspur? Okay? Some are moderate huts, moderate huts,
- 11:56moderate hotspur? Good luck spelling cuts. I think I looked argue.
- 12:05I think I've got it Google. But also it may come up later in
- 12:09the episode, so that might be the reason I know how to spell it.
- 12:13So moderate huts, but we got products of misconception versus moderate hutspur task
- 12:18Master episode titles. Indeed, I almost suggested the first episode title, which
- 12:26was melon buffet. But I'm I'm really pleased with moderate huts. Yeah,
- 12:33yeah, I'm going to refer to you by the full title of moderate Please
- 12:39do it makes me giggle so hard like the Arts is farmerly known as Prince
- 12:46Episode. So I'm good, my quoto's Matt all right? And if you're
- 12:52listening to this and thinking, well, you seem like lovely people. But
- 12:56isn't task Master that guy from Marvel nuds his order with a little segment we
- 13:01like to call passing knowledge. Task Master is a British comedy panel game show
- 13:11created by comedian Alex Horn that he hosts with comedian Greg Davies. In the
- 13:16program, a group of five celebrities, mainly comedians, attempt to complete a
- 13:22series of challenges, with Horn acting as an umpire in each challenge and Davies
- 13:26the titular task Master judging the work. Oh you sweet, young Prince oh
- 13:33Hi. Points are awarded based on the contestants' performances, but also personal whim
- 13:39sound familiar, games Master? Does that sound familiar to you? Yep?
- 13:43Yep? I steal thirty three percent of that show. I'll just opened a
- 13:48box of pussy. It was a cult hit in the UK, but exploded
- 13:52internationally during the pandemic. During unprecedented times, it was comforting to watch,
- 13:58pure, lighthearted joy and the world is still shit and will continue to be
- 14:03for the next couple of decades, probably, so we need task Master.
- 14:09And while we're at it, I would really love some precedented times. Can
- 14:13someone provide me with some times which are precedented? Shame that my hands on
- 14:18my face. Taskmaster has achieved incredible heights for a British comedy show. Sixteen
- 14:24seasons so far, thirteen spinoff shows, and a board game. Can you
- 14:31believe it? Guys, they have a board game. In this day and
- 14:33age, they don't let anybody have a board game. Taskmaster a board game.
- 14:37What they can't take away from me is that I have an absolutely lovely
- 14:41day. So, without any further fervor, let's celebrate an iconic bit of
- 14:46lovely by saying on with the show. Hey, that's the thing, Greg
- 14:52says it is. Thank you, dra Was it fun researching the matter of
- 14:58task Master? Had you thought of it in that way? Yeah? I
- 15:01knew that there was a ton of spin offs. I did not realize how
- 15:05many spinoffs. Yeah, Alex is making that money. Yeah, I can't
- 15:09remember if I even counted the junior one that they're gonna do in that thirteen
- 15:15of course. Yeah, they're doing a junior one with the Rose and Mike
- 15:20wasn't it. Yeah, two of the best. It's gonna be incredible.
- 15:26Kids are so dumb, we're going to figure out these tests so quick though
- 15:31they're like, oh, yeah, you said this. I think there's some
- 15:35things that an adult would be like, oh, this is an easy thing,
- 15:37I'll do X y Z. And kids are gonna have hilarious roundabout ways
- 15:41and other ones where an adult would be like, I have no idea how
- 15:43to go about this. Kid, first try yeah, all confidence? Yeah,
- 15:50all right. Just before we get to today's games, I've asked each
- 15:52player to bring in a muse, something that inspires them or something they love
- 15:56from this particular fandom, and for the first time ever, in the spirit
- 16:00of the prize task from task Master. Once I've heard everyone's muses, I'm
- 16:06going to give our players a score from one to four points. I'll rank
- 16:10them just like in task Master, and it will affect the final scores.
- 16:14Yeah a gasp, exactly first time ever. Task Master is inspiring to me
- 16:19because it validated that I can make games and challenges for my friends and that
- 16:25as long as I include a Rubbert Duck, I'm not a sociopath. So
- 16:33Aaron will start with you what's inspiring you from the world of task Master.
- 16:37Well, speaking of Mike Wasniak, one of my favorite contestants on the show
- 16:42of all time for a myriad of reasons, but mostly for making me feel
- 16:48somewhat normal. Uh. And if you've seen the show, you'll understand what
- 16:56I mean, especially when I tell you that I also occasionally suffer from hemorrhoids.
- 17:03Oh yeah, yeah, just like Mike. And I always felt a
- 17:07little like sad or you know, like less than because I have them.
- 17:12But Mike, like just you know, let it out on national so in
- 17:18al ways than one. Yeah, exactly, and I felt like seen for
- 17:22the first time ever. So in the spirit of that brotherhood, I've decided
- 17:30to name my hemorrhoid little Mike Wosniak Credible Beautiful. Look. Look, we
- 17:37always say representation is important, yes, and that includes those who have hemorrhoids.
- 17:48Goodbies, goodbues. I'm trying to say. I usually say everyone's muse
- 17:51is fantastic, but I'm trying to stay like neutral until the scoring time.
- 17:56Neutral positivity. But we'll see what number I give you amoids. Okay,
- 18:04let's move over to your teammates, Oggie, what's inspiring you from task Master.
- 18:08Oh man, it sounds cheesy, but it really truly is is the
- 18:14the jokes and the laughter that break out between the contestants and even the the
- 18:19host of the show because they make each other laugh. So it it no
- 18:26matter what day you're having. That laughter is contagious. Yes, that dopamine
- 18:30hit man is nothing else. It is like you want more of it,
- 18:34You just want it. And task Mask task Master can clearly like scratch that
- 18:41itch in terms of entertainment and just making your day better through laughter. And
- 18:47you could tell that even the contestants themselves are having fun. Yeah, it's
- 18:51properly organic, like it being an unscripted show, and you can tell that
- 18:55banter between them in the studio is less scripted than some other panel shows.
- 18:59So yeah, it's just evenff that isn't scripted. It's like okay and like
- 19:03but they then they get like the host going like a yes, the laughing
- 19:07and just it's all over them. Yeah, so joyous, it's great,
- 19:12it's good. Such if I say, Banta is your musean nice good stuff?
- 19:18Jo Spanter joyous, Spanta banter Comma joyous, I'll write, Okay,
- 19:26we will move on over to moder Hutspa and Stee Stevie. What's inspiring you
- 19:36from task From task Master? This is something uh that I've I've noticed throughout
- 19:41the series and I truly do love it and I actually look forward to every
- 19:45episode that I did watch. My muse is actually fancy socks. So I
- 19:55love that. You gotta you got like the the that Davies and Horn they
- 20:02always wear these really cool elebetts. So so so strengthen the bomb between the
- 20:07US and the UK. I present you, guys, the Blue and Stars
- 20:11socks. Oh my god, I love them. It's the unity between our
- 20:15two shows, the only two panel shows that are worth anything on the internet
- 20:22today. Yeah, the ones we haven't discovered yet. So I'm gonna I'm
- 20:27gonna hang out right there. But he's on my team, so it's great,
- 20:37well done, well done, And I must say they do they match
- 20:41my jacket? They I love those socks dressed after this sippermut Ser, Okay,
- 20:47that's a. That's a good punt for the four points. I always
- 20:49love a reveal of a prop hitten. That's a that's fantastic stuff. And
- 20:53finally, Adrop, what is inspiring you from task Master? I think it
- 20:57falls under the umbrella of the concept of friendship, but I will elaborate.
- 21:03We do have the board game. I mentioned it in the passing knowledge segment.
- 21:07We have the board game. Y'all do too. It's incredible. We've
- 21:15played it. Like every time we've played it, someone surprises me and I
- 21:19understand it. Everybody thinks that their friends are great. God, the people
- 21:25that we have met and built relationships with are so phenomenal, Like that Present
- 21:30Company included like, oh, it's just oh, we built such great friendships
- 21:34and just to see, like we'll do a task and I didn't know that
- 21:40like one of our friends, Adam can tell time immediately, like stand up
- 21:45in one minute exactly. He was within like a tenth of a second.
- 21:49Wow, Like like make a surprising cup of tea? I think Jason,
- 21:56like you genuinely went, what Matt when he gave you a surprising cup of
- 22:00tea? It's your friends can continually surprise you. And that's so fun.
- 22:07Yes, so the concept of friendship, but playing task master with your friends,
- 22:11yes, I like that. That's wholesome. You get the one from
- 22:14the heart, yeah, get the hearts. Yeah. Wow, this is
- 22:19this is tough. I now I now see what before you decide the scores,
- 22:22you did say, yes you enjoy a good reveal? Should I reveal
- 22:26my hemorrhoid? Well, all patrons, you're in for a treat. This
- 22:36is normally hidden behind and only fans paywall. Here we go, Oh this,
- 22:42you know what? This is so tough that I'm going to do that
- 22:45thing that Greg normally does, and I'm going to bump up the max score
- 22:48to five and say that no one is getting one point. It's gonna be
- 22:51it's gonna be two, three, four, five because Greg does that,
- 22:53so I can do it nice precedent precedented times times I'm gonna give I'm gonna
- 23:02give two points to Ogie for the banter. Look. Oh yeah, I've
- 23:11got to be cruel, don't I. You can thank me for a doggy
- 23:15Yes, I too, thought your your muse was a little lackluster. Okay,
- 23:25even though I agree with the sentiments, I'm gonna give three points to
- 23:29Audra because yeah, Taskmaster with Friends is absolutely fun. But I would be
- 23:33showing too much favoritism if I put you at the four or five. Yeah,
- 23:37because I also lived those experiences. Then okay, I'm gonna go down
- 23:41to a hemorrhoid and a pair of socks. It is so often in life.
- 23:49I'm gonna go I'm gonna go four for the hemorrhoid and five for the
- 23:52socks. And it's purely because if those socks had just come from the desk,
- 23:56it would have been the other way around. But the reveal from the
- 23:59hack. Yeah, another pair of socks on two These socks I got for
- 24:04Christmas last year. There's even more socks to come, so the form of
- 24:10unity. Yes, all right, well we're starting off on the backfoot,
- 24:15dog, Can I just have one point so I could forget about the hemorrhyn
- 24:22the rest of the show. For the first time ever, we have scores
- 24:27at the end of the mew section, and those scores are products of misconception
- 24:33are on six points. Moderate hutspur are on eight points. Yes, right,
- 24:37teams, Let's take a listen to what we recorded six months earlier and
- 24:41look towards the big screen of round one. We didn't record anything, don't
- 24:45panic, we didn't want. Yeah. I'm like, I'm watching the two
- 24:49of them slowly lose their minds. I'm like, joke, you ever just
- 24:56kind of slowly like got into like a long distance stare. I know your
- 25:00sonars, but you have heard of a bit of a bit of what classic
- 25:12round one is called task Master and why it is called that is about to
- 25:19become apparent in this game. I'm going to give our teams clues to a
- 25:23contestant who has appeared on task Master. Name them and you get a point,
- 25:30pretty easy, right, Well, that's not all. One member of
- 25:33the team must then hold that contestant's name like a musical note or sound our
- 25:38time, how long each of you can hold that note, and whichever team
- 25:42manages to hold their note the longest wins a bonus three points. At the
- 25:48end of the round, there will be four questions for each team, so
- 25:51each player gets two attempts at holding a note. And it's a riff on
- 25:56a game from Alex Horn's Fantastic podcast. But this podcast it's all about remix
- 26:00culture anyway, so it's fine. It's fine. So, for example,
- 26:04if the answer was Alex Horn, you would say the answer alex Horn to
- 26:10get the point, but then have an attempt at saying alex Horn until you
- 26:15run out of breath and it hopefully pays off. In an audio medium,
- 26:21we'll see, Oh my gosh for everybody. Okay, so we will begin
- 26:30with a question for products of misconception. The little short paragraph that is clues
- 26:33to a task Master contestant, you know his name. It shouldn't be too
- 26:38challenging for you. You won't have to look off menu for this guy's repertoire.
- 26:44And if you know nothing about this party gata, you can always give
- 26:47him a ketter ring. Okay, do I say it first and then try
- 26:51and hold it? Yes, Okay, it's James a Castor. It absolutely
- 26:55is James a Caster. There's a point, and now I will start timing
- 26:57as soon as the the last note of your James A Casta begins and just
- 27:03keep going for as long as you can. James A Castor. Yeah,
- 27:30he was less strong, so hard. I'm sitting here strong like like no
- 27:36stop it. I'm gonna be I'm gonna be staring you down, laughing my
- 27:41ass off every time you try you best, and I'll put I'll put some
- 27:45like royalty free music underneath something in the edit. Currently the record to beat
- 27:56is twenty two point zero two seconds. Is the is the gambit that has
- 28:02been set forth by Aaron there longer damn it? Well, there's going to
- 28:07be seven more attempts between yes. So let's see if someone again. Okay,
- 28:11let's have a clue to a contestant for moderate Hutber. She's the queen
- 28:15of the roast and isn't as plastic as car would have you believe. This
- 28:21duchess is a stand up mom who married her high school sweetheart, a Canadian
- 28:26who loves all things Kardashian. Any idea who this is? I know who
- 28:30it is? I do which one of us? Oh? You can say
- 28:36the answer first for the points? Okay, Katherine Ryan, Yeah it is
- 28:40Katherine Ryan. Good stuff, good stuff. Do you want to do it
- 28:42or do you want to mean to? I mean I can try at this
- 28:47altitude. Well, okay, whenever you're ready, order Katherine Ryan. That's
- 29:12it. That's it. Sixteen point four eight sessions. So not knocking Aaron
- 29:18off the top spot. Good effort. I could start to hear my heartbeat
- 29:22and then I started to panic. It's stuff, good stuff, this is
- 29:29fun. It's just people kind of groaning into a microphone time it popped up,
- 29:37are you playing music? And I was like, technically kind of set
- 29:45up a professional audio in audio settings. Thanks soom Okay, back on over
- 29:51to Products of Misconception, where either of you can answer, but it will
- 29:53be Aggie's turn to hold the note. And here is the clue to your
- 29:59contestant. This legend of British comedy has something of a Satsuma complex. He
- 30:04always tells the truth and would never lie to you. He'll sin on a
- 30:08big night out, but these days he's usually gone fishing. Okay, I'm
- 30:12pretty sure that's Bob Mortimer. It is Bob Mortimer. There's a points and
- 30:17argue best of luck, so whenever you're ready, So it's at the end
- 30:21of his name, last name. Yes, yeah, I guess right with
- 30:26the first, but you'd have to make sure to get the rest out.
- 30:30Yeah. Yeah, you get there at the end, Bob Mortimer, Bob
- 30:37Mortimer, and you didn't even take a deep breath first. I'm like,
- 31:04dude, I know, without a deep breath. That was a really good,
- 31:08really good attempt. Nineteen point four to seven seconds I've got here.
- 31:12Wow, it's pretty close deep breath. Maybe next time you'll have you'll have
- 31:18another attempt. Yeah, which I haven't decided if I regret or not in
- 31:22this game. Maybe we should play in the one folks, So moderate hudsper.
- 31:32Here is your next clue, and it will be Stevie to hold the
- 31:33note. Loves the bake off, but soda others. But he's also a
- 31:37buzzed cock, so I'll drop his pronoun. Another surrealist with a flashy style,
- 31:44and to top it all off, he's got a mighty boosh. Okay,
- 31:48so, Stevie Ordre, do you know who this is? I do?
- 31:52This is no fielding. It is no fielding. So there's a point.
- 32:00It's a ding. You're looking to hold a ding here, Stevie.
- 32:01Oh gosh, I haven't held a ding in a while. Oh shut up,
- 32:07it was just this morning. You mean your doctor held your ding?
- 32:15Alright, whenever you're ready, Stevie, no fielding? Nice? Holy shit?
- 32:47What we haven't you winner? We haven't you leader? It definitely as
- 32:51Oggie was gesturing. It definitely sounded like there was a fly in the studio.
- 32:58But that was twenty five point eight two seconds. We've got a new
- 33:04leader, bitch, Okay? Should we should? We have four more clues
- 33:10and four more noises? Yeah, so, products of misconception, here is
- 33:17your next clue. This actress is Bridget Jones's best friend. She'll start by
- 33:22smacking the pony if you let her finish with Veep, the voice of the
- 33:28Undtables and one of a handful who have dated another contestant. These do get
- 33:32tougher. You're not You're kidding. I don't know it. I'd have to
- 33:40take a stab stab away. Is it ashling B. It's a good guess,
- 33:46but it's not ashling B. Damn it's Sally Phillips. Oh yeah,
- 33:53well no, I wouldn't have gotten that off any of the clues in there,
- 33:57because I I think I just know w we're from test Master. Unfortunately,
- 34:00Yeah, yeah, definitely. I was going to make these like the
- 34:02eight most obvious people, and then I was like, no, I need
- 34:05to make it cruel and tough in the spirit of task Master. But you
- 34:10still have a chance to take an attempt at Stevie's record, even though no
- 34:15point for Sally Phillips herself. So whenever you're ready, Aaron, Sally Philip,
- 34:42I had little gaff that. I think I had little gaff. I'm
- 34:44gonna I'm gonna stop it. You didn't was there was a little little drop
- 34:50in one of the little one of the little cracks. I think it was.
- 34:53I think it was your imagination, sir, uh it was. It
- 35:00was close as well. It was twenty four seconds twenty four point three to
- 35:05five, so not quite beating Stevie's, but a good effort. I like
- 35:07the strategy as well, ripped up by a terrible judge or no, fuck,
- 35:15you don't know. I'm mad now I had that. I could have
- 35:25gone for another five more seconds easy, So you guys say five more minutes?
- 35:30Oh god, okay, we will move back on over to moderate HUTSBA
- 35:36for another clue. She's a loose woman, but that's not an insult,
- 35:39just a fact, a stand up late bloomer who is now successful across the
- 35:45UK. And if you strictly don't recognize her, you can say I'm sorry,
- 35:50I didn't know. I wish I knew names better. Is it is
- 35:53that oddre? Is it the older lady with the big glasses. I think
- 35:58I think it's you, but I don't know her last name. I mean
- 36:01only the one Judy though, so they would count right. No. I
- 36:05think I think Judy Garland's been on task paster. She's too American and dead.
- 36:15I think I comedians are all about their brands, their first name surname.
- 36:20I don't think I can give you just Judy fucking Judy, right,
- 36:27why don't you have a more common name. I'm so mad at myself.
- 36:31I should know her name. She was so fun. No, we can't
- 36:37play that game. Okay, I'm gonna turn you out. You'll still have
- 36:40a chance to say her name, but it's Judy Love Love. Yeah,
- 36:45you're gonna hate yourself for it. Yeah, okay, Odra, it'll be
- 36:47you saying Judy Love's name and holding it like a note out of respect for
- 36:52forgetting her surname. Yeah, whenever you're ready, go for it, Judy
- 36:55Love. There we go. There, that's gone seventeen point six seconds.
- 37:21Your notes are better than everyone else is. I'll say that. I think
- 37:23I'm putting more air into it. Dare you? First of all, he
- 37:30misreads of silence in mine? And now he's you like to make fun of
- 37:37my looks while you're at it, Just go ahead sing it brought up the
- 37:39hemorrhoid? Was I did? I did? I should be more insulting,
- 37:45shouldn't I? That's what That's what Greg would do to That's what I expected,
- 37:47especially before. Yeah, why me chastised? Okay? Thanks? Yeah,
- 37:58I just I don't know how to be that middle level. Mean,
- 38:00I could be like, all right, your bunch of cunts. I don't
- 38:07know how honestly, that just sounds yeah, sure, you know, yeah,
- 38:12endearing, it's cute. Yeah, after the show, he's married.
- 38:24That's stopped me before. We've got one more clue for each team, and
- 38:30Stevie and Oggie will therefore have one attempt each at beating Well. I guess
- 38:35Stevie, you could extend your own record because you're in the lead with twenty
- 38:38five seconds and then some change. So here is the clue for Products of
- 38:46Misconception getting tougher and tougher. Another actress who is something of a dairy Girl,
- 38:52although she's from Galway. She made her film debut with a Barbie cameo,
- 38:58but it's best known for gossip around Bridgeton. Oh sorry, and this
- 39:04is the one I don't know. There's only one. There's only one person
- 39:13who's ever been on Taskmaster, who I'm pretty sure was on Dairy Girls,
- 39:20and I think she was on one of the New Year's Eve treats, just
- 39:23one of the one shots. I can't remember her last name. I want
- 39:28to say, Charlotte Church. But it's not. It's not Charlotte Church.
- 39:35But that's a good guess and may have been one of the people on New
- 39:37Year's treat in fact, or if not, she'd be good for it.
- 39:42It's it's Nicola Coughlin or Nicola Coughlin, the Irish actress. No, never
- 39:46would have got that, but that's okay. It's not about that. It's
- 39:50about saying her name for the longest But whenever you're ready, Oka, Nicola
- 40:00Cochlan Cockland, Yeah, Cochlan, hold the land. Yeah. Well,
- 40:04people would say at nineties gaming, just hold it low, but try and
- 40:08keep it loud so that somebody doesn't read a silence that isn't there. Look,
- 40:16the recording willipse of me. It's like, wait a minute, like
- 40:19Stevie's hand is literally on our audio mixer, son of a bit, but
- 40:25I didn't hands up. There'll be a full investigation, all right, go
- 40:34for it, okay, Nikola Cocklan, Nikola Cochlan. Those are dips.
- 40:59Those are those dips in and out. I'm stopping that one. Very good
- 41:01though, dude, Yeah, twenty point five seconds. I can't remember if
- 41:07that's worse, no better than your previous attempt. But let's say it was
- 41:09better. Yeah, okay, and the final contestant for moderate hutsper to decode.
- 41:19Here it is this athlete retired in twenty twenty three, but only after
- 41:22winning four Olympic gold medals. He's the only person to ever conquer the cube.
- 41:29He's got a unique hand sign. But respect this commander and call him
- 41:32sir oh no farah, Yes it is Mo Farah. I can't hold the
- 41:43notes, Aaron don't have anymore. I I am furious. They got questions.
- 41:47They get the stone with no lungs somehow beats the guy with the biggest
- 41:53lungs in the bread room. It's fine, it's it's fine. Rigged.
- 42:04I'm pulling the trump card. I mean, Stevie, you've won. Here's
- 42:07the thing, You've won the bonus points. Would you just say it?
- 42:10Just say it was Mo Ferer. There you go, There you go.
- 42:16That was it zero point five seconds holding there for us. But Stevie had
- 42:21the record time with twenty five point eight two seconds and so gets the three
- 42:25points. Woo yes, yes, damn human. Well that's the end of
- 42:36round one. Let's ask little Alex Horn to calculate the scores and show us
- 42:40those filthy things he looks at on that tablet. I'm convinced it's hardcore pornography.
- 42:46We can it. Okay, those scores are I can tell by Aaron's
- 42:51face that Aaron knows which way these scores are. Products of misconception are on
- 42:54eight points, but moderate hutsper are in the lead with fourteen points. Oh,
- 43:00double digits. Great job you're kicking. But now I couldn't hold them
- 43:06note for more than sixteen seconds. I didn't get any answers right, see
- 43:09together, we're teams or teams? Yes, okay. Up next is round
- 43:15two, But first some ads. I lifted this kind of ad transition from
- 43:20the copy used on task Master, except I usually link it to the fandom
- 43:23we're covering. Only the fandom this time is task Master. So now my
- 43:28brain hurts because its references all the way down. The words I'm saying right
- 43:31now are a reference. See you after this. Round two is a new
- 43:40game that will probably be only played in this episode, and it's called Mass
- 43:45Tasker. We're going to see how many Taskmaster themed mini tasks our pairs can
- 43:50complete in five minutes. It should be chaos. It probably will be.
- 43:53Let's find out with each team taking turns, they will have five minutes to
- 43:59choose the task behind ten different numbers, completing as many as possible for one
- 44:04point each. The tasks are similar but different for both teams. You can
- 44:08pass and come back to a task later on, and I'll keep track of
- 44:12which tasks you've completed and which ones you still need to come back to,
- 44:15and there'll just be one big five minute timer and we'll stop whenever you've completed
- 44:20all ten tasks or when the time runs out. So nice, I'm going
- 44:25to offer products of misconception. Would you like to go first or second?
- 44:29Let's go second so we can see what we're in for, or at least
- 44:31have an idea what we're in for. Okay, Okay, that means that
- 44:36moderate hutsber will be going first. So I'll say the time has started,
- 44:43and then you just name a number between one and ten. It's up to
- 44:45you the order you do it in, and I'll read out the tasks as
- 44:49we go. Awesome, are you both ready? I'm ready? Number?
- 44:52We should choose two? So this is awesome? Heck yeah, yeah,
- 44:57pick the first one. Okay, your time starts now nine nine. Between
- 45:05the two of you, burp five audible burps. That's five. I kind
- 45:10of five. There's a point good stuff breathing just in intervals two two.
- 45:21Find either a rubber duck, a pineapple, or a potato and hold it
- 45:24up to the camera. I don't have any of those things in here.
- 45:30Oh duck anywhere you can leave the room. And also, Stevie, you
- 45:39can still be saying numbers if you like. There's a duck. It's a
- 45:43little a duck written on a card. Oh, rubber duck. It says
- 45:46rubber duck, a pineapple or a potato, hardboard duck. Nice? Try
- 45:52pass come back to Yeah, you can come back to it. Three yeah,
- 45:55three, Sing a little fifteen second ditty about Greg Davies. Greg is
- 46:01the Taskmaster. He is a guy. He's on sixteen seasons. He sometimes
- 46:09last. Gregg is a man. He is tall, and so is Alex
- 46:15Horn. He is also tall. Yeah, there we got lovely stuff you
- 46:19can or six oh four. Let let's go. Let's go for call someone
- 46:27you know who isn't on this zoom and get them to say you've got no
- 46:30hutspa. I basically I am incapable of doing that. I think Stevie might
- 46:35be on it. Can I do another one? While he's doing that.
- 46:39Absolutely, while he's doing that, I'm gonna find a pineapple or potato.
- 46:44I have to say to say. You've got to get them to say you've
- 46:47got no hutspa into the microphone so we can hear it. Yeah, change
- 46:52the speaker phone. Hey, I got I got gotta have you say you've
- 46:57got no hootspa. Yes, yes, that's a pine good stuff. Number
- 47:07six, Number six, Altra has just got some potatoes that counts. Hold
- 47:15them up to the camera. Potatoes. Nice. And then Stevie said,
- 47:20six, Mi'm a scene from American history for me to guess what you're doing.
- 47:27Two separate ones, Steve, I'm gonna go with Stevie's. Stevie,
- 47:30is it the assassination of Abraham Lincoln? Nice? Good stuff? That's a
- 47:35point. Say anything is correct? For god? Do we have to do
- 47:43one one? Name five male task Master contestants who weren't mentioned in round one.
- 47:50Richard Herring, Fuck, Joe Thomas, Dan Brown, you've got too
- 47:58so far? Okay? Joe Rickson? Oh no, we mentioned him?
- 48:05Ah? How many? How many men have been uh we've mentioned ed boy
- 48:12not in the round ed gamble um ship I ran up stairs. Men are
- 48:22forgettable? Yeah, Johnny Vegas, Yes, you got four? One more?
- 48:27M any other men? Who are other men? Ramesh Ringan, Nathan,
- 48:35Yes, they go. There's there's a point. Do you number five?
- 48:37Yes? One of you must keep one hand over your head for the
- 48:40rest of the task. Okay, okay, Steve, he's got that seven.
- 48:46Seven, Make a hot beverage and slurp it loudly near the microphone.
- 48:51You've got one minute left, pass you got ten ten. One of you
- 48:57must say tree wizard every ten second for the rest of the task. Tree
- 49:00Wizard. I got a later hold on. Check it out, Tree Wizard.
- 49:12Nice. Stevie's hand is still up there. You've You've still got one
- 49:15number left to say tree Wizard, and I forgot no keep saying true wizard
- 49:22a A give Matt three unique compliments, Tree Wizard. Your hair looks really
- 49:29nice today. I really like the jacket. Tree Wizard. I think,
- 49:34uh that you're hosting this really well. Thank you. Ten seconds left.
- 49:42You've just got the one of make a hot beverage and slip it loudly near
- 49:44the microphones. That you didn't you didn't make it. You didn't you've not
- 49:50made that within the time. Ah, and it's cold now, but that's
- 49:54not hot. That's your time an order forgot to say tree wizard the end
- 50:00there, But Stevie did keep his hand above his head, so Steve,
- 50:02there's a point for Stevie keeping the hand above his head, but not for
- 50:07that. So I make it. You got eight out of ten there,
- 50:09Awesome. I don't know, okay, I can bring my hand out.
- 50:13I don't trust this. Yeah, Oh my goodness, all right, how
- 50:22was that? Guys? It was fun? I couldn't remember men. I'm
- 50:27gonna be holl and, I asked, out of those building, aren't I
- 50:30strong possibility? In which case I'll just send you and yeah, yeah,
- 50:34yeah, send me at least if I eat ship, let me lock the
- 50:38doors for real. Cool. If you have a button for that on your
- 50:45not doing it again. So they're going to be kind of similar but kind
- 50:51of different in terms of the tasks that you have. Your five minutes starts
- 50:57now one one of you must keep one hand in front of your face for
- 51:00the rest of the task. It can be hovering in front of your face
- 51:05if you want. Next two burp, five audible burps. That's the only
- 51:14one. That's the same, all right, Yeah, they got us.
- 51:22Five, that's a point. Three Make an iced beverage and slip it loudly
- 51:28near the microphone. Four one of you must say hemorrhoid every ten seconds for
- 51:36the rest of the task. Five Name five female task Master contestants who weren't
- 51:44mentioned in round one. Hemorrhoids. Rosine Connedy, Yeah, hemorrhoids, Sophie
- 51:52Duker, Yeah, hemorrhoid, Lucy beaumunt hemorrhoids, Superkin, Susan Wacoma.
- 52:00There you go. There's five. There's a point, and they all have
- 52:04emorrhids. Hemoroid. Six. Six, Mi'm a scene from American history for
- 52:09me to guess that isn't the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. Hemorrhoid. Uh uh
- 52:16hemorrhoid, uh, hemoroid, hemorrhoids. Oh, the moon landing, Yes,
- 52:35thanks, the moon landing. Yes they God, there's a point.
- 52:37Hemorrhoids. Seven. Sing a little fifteen second ditty about Alex Horn. Alex
- 52:44Horn has hammerroyds his butt. Alex Horn has hammorrhoids. They make you say
- 52:52what yeah, five more seconds. Horn has hemoroids, he has them in
- 52:57his face. Alex Horn has hammorhoids. He'll take them into space. Oh
- 53:02beautiful, what a song. There's there's a point and also a point for
- 53:07Oggie for the sipping and slurping and beverage. I'm still hearing the hemorrhoids.
- 53:12This is good. This give Matt three unique insults. Your face looks like
- 53:17a hemorrhoid. Yes, hemorrhoid. Your suit is louder than anything on this
- 53:24podcast. Yeah, hemorrhoid. Hemorrhoid, and your accent's kind of all over
- 53:31the place. That's three insults. That's good stuff. That's a point nine.
- 53:37Hemorrhoid. Find a cow, a lime, or an egg and hold
- 53:42it up to the camera. Hemorhoid. Ten and ten. Call someone you
- 53:47know who isn't on this zoom and get them to say, am I the
- 53:52spider? Oh no, there's so many tasks on top of it. Hemorrhoid.
- 54:00Uh uh, hemorrhoid. But it looks like you have a headache,
- 54:05camoroid. Hemorrhoid. Oh boy, looking forward to this. Oh I tried
- 54:21still hemorhoid. I tried previous person on the show, Caroline Noruala, but
- 54:23she's not available. Hemorrhoids. You've got ninety seconds left. So plenty of
- 54:30people to try. I guess, hemorrhoid, hemorrhoid, hemorrhoids. Please be
- 54:38careful. What am I supposed to do with the egg? Hey? Hold
- 54:44it up? Hold it up to the camera, a hemorrhoids. Can you
- 54:49do me a favorite CJ and say, am I the spider? Am I
- 54:52the spider? Heid? Thank you that Steph, I'll let you know what's
- 54:58what. Thanks. By as far as I could tell to get the full
- 55:05ten points, all that needs to happen is for the next forty five seconds,
- 55:07Aaron needs to say hemorrhoids, holding his hands in front of his face.
- 55:12Emrod, Oh my god, because I don't think you passed on any
- 55:16of them. Memor just thirty more seconds of this. I'm glad this on
- 55:30video. I really, I'm glad this is on video. Memord hemorrhoid,
- 55:37hemorrhoid. Fifteen seconds hemorrhoid. I mean, in a way I did this
- 55:45to myself. Hemorrhoid, hemorrhoid. Yeah, five seconds for three one,
- 55:52last two memorid. Well there's the last hemorrhoids. You can remove your hand
- 55:55from your face and stop saying hemorrhoid. What a fantastic performance, What a
- 56:00team. That was great, good God, the full pots and you know
- 56:08what it's I'm gonna I'm going to give a bonus point as well to the
- 56:12team. I'm going to give you eleven points because that was just great teamwork.
- 56:16I loved how was the runner because he heard I read come back to
- 56:24some stress, ash, I gotta go fight a fucking wrong and I'm chanting
- 56:39hemorrhoids. Another unique compliment. We're inside you make us do these things,
- 56:50Matt. Let's let's thank the genius mind of Alex Horn. It would not
- 56:58be possible. But that's fantastic guy. It's good. Wow, good round
- 57:02for everyone there. Wow, well that's the end of the round. If
- 57:07we can about breathe, Let's get some nerds on the internet to make a
- 57:12spreadsheet to display all of the latest scores. Those scores are products of misconception.
- 57:19Are on nineteen points with moderate hudsper still in the lead with twenty two
- 57:23points. Yes, we've made up. That's the important thing, right,
- 57:29that has made up Round three? Next? Sorry about that spreadsheet comment,
- 57:37nerds, I am one of you. I know task Master fans are passionate,
- 57:42so please direct that passion into rating us five stars. Thank you so
- 57:45much, soe you after this? Okay. Round three is a new game
- 57:53called Reaction Stations. It's the game in which our players will have to describe
- 57:58an iconic Taskmaster moment with only genuine TikTok comments and reactions for clues. Our
- 58:05teams will have the option of two clues, first, an emoji based reaction
- 58:08for two points, then a text comment for one point, and teams can
- 58:13guess based on the emojis, and if they're wrong, we'll still move on
- 58:15to the text comment. You can just have a stab in the dark.
- 58:19Okay? Cool? So free stab at two points, free stab at two
- 58:22points, more definite stab at one point. J okay. So we will
- 58:27begin with products of misconception. Your first three emojis that I now have to
- 58:30describe over audio are musical note emoji, candle emoji, musical note emoji,
- 58:37and these were all genuine reactions underneath the TikTok clips of these these tasks.
- 58:44Was it the task and Brew festival where they had to sing to Rosalind?
- 58:47Was that it? It absolutely is the Taskingberry Festival. That's two points.
- 58:52Good step farrlack hole. You're thinking like I don't remember a candle. But
- 58:58then I thought maybe they used the candle as like holding the lighter up because
- 59:01one of the songs was genuinely a really good song and the other song freaking
- 59:07funny. Yes, so it was like a double whammy of awesomeness, And
- 59:10so I was like, that's the musical test that stands out the most in
- 59:15my mind. So yeah, I got lucky, good good not And it
- 59:20is a fantastic task as well, like, like you said, both songs
- 59:22so good for different reasons. Oh yeah, I love the Bob Mortimer at
- 59:27the start of that task as well, when he walks into the room and
- 59:30it's just like do we strike you? Questions didn't make any sense. First
- 59:36question, do we strike you? An question? Do you eat meats?
- 59:44That's a good question, all right, moderate hutzper. Here are your emojis?
- 59:51Which iconic task Master moment is this? We have shaving emoji? Okay,
- 59:57emoji, alarm clock emoji? Ah, you know it are wow?
- 1:00:02I do do it? Do it? Is this when Mike Wozniak did the
- 1:00:08mohawk, shaved himself a mohawk? It absolutely is that For the Studio prize
- 1:00:15task. Yes, when I shaved a legit mohawk for the last episode,
- 1:00:22and I would I would, I would not of the emojis good task Master
- 1:00:29knowledge from both teams. Are there any favorite prize tasks that come to mind?
- 1:00:32I know Mike's mohawk is pretty much in her. That's pretty incredible.
- 1:00:37If if you ever watched the I think it's the Australian version, or it
- 1:00:42might be it might be the New Zealand version. There's there's an actress I
- 1:00:45think on the first the first series of the New Zealand version of task Master
- 1:00:52who so thoroughly destroyed every prize test. Like she she she fully understood how
- 1:00:59to work the prize ask and she kneels at every single time. They're all
- 1:01:01hilarious. Her first name is Angela. I can't remember her last name,
- 1:01:05but she's so funny. Lansbury, Yeah, no not. Could you imagine
- 1:01:09if before she passed she did anyway? Yeah, that's the one. Just
- 1:01:15she'd bring a typewriter in every time. That's it very specific reference. She
- 1:01:22could only be on until there was murdering Cabit Cove, so like five minutes.
- 1:01:24Yeah, exactly when are we doing murder? She wrote gately, But
- 1:01:31I'm the most view'd and listened to so many like, oh my god,
- 1:01:38I guarantee you all all the fans, Yeah, Angela Fansbury, all the
- 1:01:45fans Burys. Okay, let's have another emoji based clue. We've not even
- 1:01:52had to hear the text based comments. Yet another emoji based clue for products
- 1:01:55of misconception. Here it is. Your three emojis are the skull and crossbones
- 1:02:00emoji, the skull and crossbones emoji, and the birthday cake emoji. Oh
- 1:02:06oh, this has to be when Lisa Tarbuck got Alex Ord to sit his
- 1:02:13naked ass on a cake. Absolutely that strives afterwards and says to Lisa it
- 1:02:22was so in mes it she just lo she has to like basically run away
- 1:02:31laughing. It's so yeah, it's such a good moment. But he now
- 1:02:37has a profitable only fans. That's true. Yeah, it has a name,
- 1:02:42doesn't it. It's like a thing. Yeah. I think I learned
- 1:02:44it from Sophie Duker, who we mentioned earlier. I think it's splashing,
- 1:02:47splashing, splashing splashing of the birthday cake. Yeah, somehow the word is
- 1:02:52worse than the actual. I don't have a problem with the word moist.
- 1:02:55That's fine to me, but splosh might be a thing that I don't love
- 1:03:00to start using them more now, Yeah, never mind almost works, Okay,
- 1:03:09more more excellent knowledge. Alex gets to do a few of his borderline
- 1:03:15fetish things on this show. I think like this season in particular, Susan
- 1:03:19Wakoma has got Alex to do a lot of things like yeah, lick the
- 1:03:22underwear and yeah we underwear bastard and all that stuff. Yeah, it's just
- 1:03:31it's a fetish show. Okay, over to moderate hutspur. Here is your
- 1:03:37next set of emoji clues. Let's see if the streak can continue. Dancing
- 1:03:42woman emoji, sparkles emoji, crying, laughing emoji. Oh immediately know this
- 1:03:53one. But if we if we make a guess yes and it's wrong,
- 1:04:00do we get a chance at the Absolutely, you get a chance for one
- 1:04:03point with the text. I like that I have a guess in this season,
- 1:04:14this currently airing season. Susan her outfit is Sequence, and as she
- 1:04:20mentions, she went to drama school, so there is one where she has
- 1:04:26her drama school like. She does like the performance of head, shoulders,
- 1:04:30knees, and toes, but she also dances like the guy in front of
- 1:04:36the car washes. Yeah, so I'm gonna say because that one was specifically
- 1:04:45dancing, I'm going to say that it's that. Okay, well she mimics
- 1:04:47the dancing, it's not that. And I feel bad for letting you go
- 1:04:49on for so long. No, no, you don't. You don't feel
- 1:04:55bad, But I can't give you. I can't give you the text that
- 1:04:58was tougher emojis because I to go off of real emojis that were on the
- 1:05:01comment section. At least she'll live forever now that it's named after her.
- 1:05:06Is your text based comments? There is? At least she'll live forever now
- 1:05:13that it's named after her. I know what it is. When I hear
- 1:05:15what the answer is, I'm gonna write you are dumb, you are,
- 1:05:21But I don't know if I'm going to think of it. You're going to
- 1:05:24pass. I think I unless you've got something, I have nothing. Can
- 1:05:29I say what I think it is if they don't get it? Yes,
- 1:05:31yes, but not for a point? Yeah that's fine. Just a shameless
- 1:05:35that's it. Yeah, pretty spiritual? All right? Is that a pass?
- 1:05:40Yeah? Okay, on with the shaming, Aaron. I believe this
- 1:05:43is when Jessica Knappett fell off the stick. Yes it is. You're supposed
- 1:05:49to do an outrageous walk and hit a bongo in exactly nine seconds. Yes,
- 1:05:55but she was blindfolded, fell off the stick. Oh my god,
- 1:05:59Oh my god. And for the yeah. For then after whenever they use
- 1:06:01that stage extender thing, they called it the nap it. It's kind of
- 1:06:06like an Injuries can happen in tasks, as we know Ogi, as you
- 1:06:11ran back in carrying an egg. Yeah, it's a dangerous dang ah streak
- 1:06:18streak broken. But I've got one more question for each pair, So back
- 1:06:24on over to products of misconception. Here are your three emojis chicken emoji,
- 1:06:30furious face emoji, hippo emoji. Hm. The hippo emoji confuses me.
- 1:06:39There is one that immediately comes to mind. Do you want to take a
- 1:06:44stab? I kind of do. Yeah, I mean I don't know what
- 1:06:47I'm looking at you for. You you know this less than I do.
- 1:06:54There was one task where the goal was to get twelve legs onto a red
- 1:06:59spot in the middle of somebody's yard and uh allon before the contestants got to
- 1:07:03do it with dogs. However, one contestant did it with chickens and is
- 1:07:06the only person who did. And I can't remember her name for the life
- 1:07:10of me, but she got upset about it. Uh that's that's that's the
- 1:07:15best guess I have. I'm afraid I don't think it's right though. It's
- 1:07:19yeah, it's you know, it's not that one. But that is a
- 1:07:23good that does have chicken conic. But it was. It was the only
- 1:07:25one I could think of where someone got mad over chickens, head over chicken.
- 1:07:30Unless I'm forgetting something, which I'm very well. Maybe, well,
- 1:07:31let's go to the text. All right, here comes the text. She's
- 1:07:35reminded me why I stopped playing pictionary. Oh, oh, now I get
- 1:07:41it. Oh yeah, this was poor Richard Herring and I can't remember the
- 1:07:47actress's name, but they were doing they had to draw three lines at a
- 1:07:51time. Yeah, that we doubt. It was freaking out because it was
- 1:07:54a hippo. It was very clearly hippo. And he just kept saying things
- 1:07:57like caterpillar cat. Uh yeah, in his defense, like I didn't get
- 1:08:03hippo until like very near the end, like saying because she did a line
- 1:08:09like right down the front of the face and that makes me think of like,
- 1:08:12you know, like a cat that sort, you know. And then
- 1:08:15then she did what she described as waves, but they very much looked like
- 1:08:18tall bits of grass that like a big cat would be hiding in. Yeah,
- 1:08:24but it was the way she just absolutely lost her mind at Richard's and
- 1:08:27he just stood there taking it. Yep, yeah, peck, Yes,
- 1:08:32that's what the chicken emoji was. No, that's what the that's what the
- 1:08:34other team had to draw. Was that weird? Okay, yeah, that's
- 1:08:40that's how that fits all right as a point. Yeah, absolutely, I
- 1:08:45was tough. And here is the final one for moderate Hutspur. Just two
- 1:08:50emojis this time that I could find under it, a potato and a flag.
- 1:08:55I know this one because gone and dude got disclosified because his foot barely
- 1:09:00touched the red stupid and everybody got it like right away. Yeah, that
- 1:09:05that is it, and it is stupid easy, and it's not fair that
- 1:09:08it is stupid easy. But there's two points step good stuff, I hoped,
- 1:09:13yes, yeah, because I didn't remember that one. Yes, this
- 1:09:17is so unfortunate because we just watched this. The only one you could have
- 1:09:30just said the potato and that's like easily the one to go to. Yeah,
- 1:09:32it was tough because I was struggling to find other iconic clips that had
- 1:09:38emojis underneath them. And I absolutely should have rearranged this question so it was
- 1:09:42like more towards the beginning, and it would have had the structure of seeming
- 1:09:45more fair. But hey, heyho potato, that's the game. TikTok potato
- 1:09:51oclock. All right, that's the end of round three. Let's consult the
- 1:09:58Golden Portraits and Waxy graphics to see the latest scores. We can't afford that
- 1:10:03the scores are it's catching up even more. Products of misconception are on twenty
- 1:10:08four points. Moderate Hutspur on twenty six points. There's just two points in
- 1:10:12it now, wow, And anyone can still win in the quick fire round,
- 1:10:17of course, especially this time. But before we get to the quick
- 1:10:21fire around, let's talk prizes. This week's star prize is the concept of
- 1:10:26play. It's important to remember to engage with play, especially as an adult.
- 1:10:30Not everything has to mean something. Guys. Sometimes you've just got to
- 1:10:34play with yourself and that's it. Yeah, or others. You can play
- 1:10:39with others too, Yeah, that's fine. I recommend that Daddy's going to
- 1:10:47make money. He's telling me every week Hemoroid cam Live, please stop playing
- 1:10:58with your hemorrhy just playing with little Mike wasniek, what's the problem we all
- 1:11:05wish? Sorry Mike, Mike, no your hemorright. But our winning team
- 1:11:12will also receive a gold bust of my big stupid head. But it's made
- 1:11:16of chocolate and has already started to melt, making me look like a horrible
- 1:11:20chocolate Nazi from Raiders of the Lost arc Winner. I know, right,
- 1:11:27It's something I wanted to eat, chocolate, Matt for a long time,
- 1:11:31not just hello. Up next is our crucial quick fire around, although first
- 1:11:40we must play one final set of ads, but then we'll make our way
- 1:11:44to the stage for the final round of the show. The stage is the
- 1:11:46same studio we're in. Our final quick fire round will test your broader pop
- 1:11:58culture knowledge and it's called big Guy, Little Guy Cardboard box. Now Taskmaster
- 1:12:02features the classic trope of pairing a big guy with a little guy. Are
- 1:12:08we all familiar with this trope? It happens throughout media. There's always just
- 1:12:11a big guy and a little guy. Yeah. Yeah, Even though Alex
- 1:12:15Horn is six foot two, and it's just that he and greg'sit in different
- 1:12:17sized chairs. We're still playing it because I couldn't think of anything else that
- 1:12:20linked Taskmaster to pop culture history. So in this game, I will give
- 1:12:25players clues to a big guy little guy duo from pop culture history. Those
- 1:12:30clues will be delivered in the style of a limerick, because that's the sort
- 1:12:32of whimsical bullshit that Taskmaster fans appreciate. Because I'm one. Oh, and
- 1:12:39there's of course a classic gate leaper's twist. You'll buzz in individually and name
- 1:12:44one member of the duo, but your teammate will then have to finish the
- 1:12:47duo and say the second name, and if they can't, I'm sorry.
- 1:12:53No point awesome and it's quick fire. So you buzz in by yelling out
- 1:12:57your team name. So let's practice that now, bruhdu products versus hutspur.
- 1:13:04No can't think of a joke to follow, that should just combined our teams
- 1:13:10and become products of FTSPO. We just jam out and start fighting the real
- 1:13:19enemy me and that eventually happened to turn listen to a co op game.
- 1:13:27Okay, So, for example, if I said there Once was a pair
- 1:13:30from the Pride who stood firm at our King's side. They ate lots of
- 1:13:35bugs, including which of Oh that felt like it was at the exact same
- 1:13:41time. It was Aaron Timoon and yes, that would be a point.
- 1:13:48Fantastic stuff practice that was pretty but again, god damn it, waving and
- 1:14:05stuff. N time language. Okay, I'll start the timer. There Once
- 1:14:13was a duo from space, one known for the hair on his space and
- 1:14:16all over his body. The others. Yes, Aaron, oh uh,
- 1:14:25I'm gonna do the honorable thing and say Stevie actually beat me with the punch.
- 1:14:30Can you hear me? Yeah, I just sorry, I didn't hear
- 1:14:31that Stevie. It's all good. I figure Internet would do some ah han
- 1:14:38solo in Chewbacca. Yes, there's a point. That's your big guy little
- 1:14:42guy combo. The other's falcon was shoddy before the repairs at Rebel Bass.
- 1:14:47Praise me for one limerick and then I'll won't feel the need to them.
- 1:14:50You're good at you're good at limits. Thank you, Okay, very good.
- 1:14:53I won't read the end of all. Rhyme. You should do that
- 1:14:58for all of them. Rhyme, all of them okay, do you want
- 1:15:00do you want a genuine insult as well? Oh? Always okay, Yeah,
- 1:15:04that Limerick was kind of all over the place rhyme. There once were
- 1:15:13a couple of workers whose job was to drive kids berserkers. They collected their
- 1:15:18screams and beat all of the teams from the studio with all the tear jerkers.
- 1:15:25Yes, Oldre Sully and Mike Wazowski. Yes, Sully and Mike Wazowski.
- 1:15:31There once was a pair of creatures, each with totally different features.
- 1:15:36They guarded the galaxy and protected their family, probably set to the Manic Street
- 1:15:43Preachers. Yes, yes, Aaron Rocket Raccoon Group. Yes, big guy,
- 1:15:49little guy, there we go. Very nice, very nice. There
- 1:15:51once was a duo from Solidad whose story is tragic and so sad. Their
- 1:15:57great Depression habits meant looking off at the rabbits. The moral is the American
- 1:16:02dream bad. I don't know this one, and I should. I haven't
- 1:16:06a clue. I've got nothing now I know why no one minded the Great
- 1:16:11Depression for the scene. Oh yeah, I have no idea. We'll pass
- 1:16:16on this one. It's George and Lenny from of Mice and Men. Oh
- 1:16:21it is book it is a book. Ye. There once was a pair
- 1:16:29from Ardor whose quest was only the starter. One robed with a staff,
- 1:16:34the other prefers, but yes, Audre, Gandalf, and it's not fro
- 1:16:42Do, I'm gonna finish. I'm gonna finish. I'm going to finish the
- 1:16:45limerick. I should have let you finished the limerick. One robed with a
- 1:16:47staff, the other prefers a bath. And to our next hero uncle not
- 1:16:53father, Bilbo and Gandalf. Yes, there you go, There you go,
- 1:17:00Billo and Gandalf. Good stuff. I was I gave. I gave
- 1:17:03the one that got wrong because I knew it was Bill. I wanted to
- 1:17:09make sure we got the I didn't. I don't know. I just wanted
- 1:17:16to make sure nice and I won't finished the limerick. That's a good way
- 1:17:21of deciding, I just won't finish it, and then it could be different
- 1:17:25characters more challenging that way too. There once was a team from Florin who
- 1:17:30sailed from Land's most Foreign One seeks a six fingers man, Yes, Aaron
- 1:17:38Fazzini, and hell was his name? I can't remember? His name?
- 1:17:45Is that he was played by Andrea the Giant. No I don't know I
- 1:17:53knew them. That's okay, that's okay, throw it over. Do you
- 1:17:57have any idea what this is? Oh? Sorry? And uh what's his
- 1:18:02name? His name the Sicilian? Can I get? Yeah? Oh come
- 1:18:09on. So here's here's the thing, actually the pairing. Here's a trio.
- 1:18:14It is a trio. And I understand that Wallace Shawn is very diminutive.
- 1:18:17But the duo that are actually a team is Indigo Montoy thought at first
- 1:18:24when you threw me off, Yeah, which is the wrong one? Yeah,
- 1:18:29that's okay, No, no points that It's all equal. Damn it.
- 1:18:32Blame the limericks. Okay, here's the next one. There once was
- 1:18:36a pair from the country I would guess, one ape and one monkey.
- 1:18:41Little guy mustache, nanas and barrels to smash. Big guy puts up his
- 1:18:45thumb and says, okay, I can do mine. Donkey Kong Donkey Kong,
- 1:18:53and I don't know the other Kung's is diddy Kong Kong is the little
- 1:19:00guy. Awesome recognized it too, screwed again. Next one, There once
- 1:19:06was a team from raw A leather giant and a nineties man whore. Yes,
- 1:19:13Aaron, uh Paul bearer, and I really don't. It's it's not
- 1:19:23the duo I'm looking for either. This team up mechanic is killing me this
- 1:19:28twice now I've known the answer and only being able to give half. Just
- 1:19:31uh, I'm going to finish the limerick just in case. A leather giant
- 1:19:36and a nineties man whore. They were the new generation wrestled heart across the
- 1:19:42nation. It's no surprise that old knees are sore. Oh you know what
- 1:19:45I'm wrong? Yeah you are? It is? I uh puta, I
- 1:19:51believe, yes it is. I don't want to do this. Okay,
- 1:19:57this is might work mankind and it's not mankind. I was looking at the
- 1:20:03Michaels and who would be the be the big guy then h Trips Diesel or
- 1:20:10Kevin Nash, either of those two names he was. They were like the
- 1:20:14first like ideal big guy little guy pairing sort of four through ninety six.
- 1:20:20I want to say, yeah, you and your wrestling, Yeah that I
- 1:20:27could. I should have done a modern reference with that one. To be
- 1:20:29honest, Live Morgan exactly. Yeah, yeah, lost, Okay, next
- 1:20:36one I could never forget. There once was a pair from the West as
- 1:20:42far as Door men go. One was the best, one became three eyed,
- 1:20:46the other one died. The survivor now bears Royal Crest Spur. Yes,
- 1:20:51Ordre Bran Stark ah old or yes, stuff. Look the team's stuff.
- 1:21:03It's tough, but you're pulling it off. It's great. Well,
- 1:21:10I guess it's been fun getting smashed bits. I knew a fellow games master
- 1:21:15would keep track of the scores. There once was a pair who seemed sussy,
- 1:21:20but whose bars were catchy and hockey. Together they tworked the industry.
- 1:21:26They worked to enlighten us on wet ass pussy houtspar Megan, this stallion,
- 1:21:36Yes, that's one of them. There you go and Cardi b one's five
- 1:21:42foot one six ft. It's hilarious. They don't play into it enough.
- 1:21:45It's so funny. Okay. There once was a duo from Minnesota. Oh
- 1:21:51god, that's a tough rhyme of whom I know little, not an iota.
- 1:21:58I think one was a moose and a squirrel. Bull Winkle, Rocky
- 1:22:04and Bullwinkle. Good stuff it is. I think they're important to America.
- 1:22:08I don't know, I don't know why. I'm glad to have taken part.
- 1:22:15Got there and quick before the buzzer. There once was a pair from
- 1:22:20season two who were teamed together without clue. One hosted pointless, the other
- 1:22:28cut. Yes, Aaron, Oh, there's no way he's going to cut
- 1:22:30this. Do you know what, Aaron? If you say both, you
- 1:22:35can have the point all right? Uh? Richard Osmond Yes, and John
- 1:22:44Richardson. It is Richard Osman and John Richardson. And that's the buzzer.
- 1:22:47I couldn't remember. I couldn't remember if who he was parked with. And
- 1:22:51there was another short guy there, Doc Brown, I think is not well,
- 1:22:55nobody as tall as Richard Osmond forgot. That's true, that's true.
- 1:22:59He writes some darn good murder mysteries too. Oh they're good. I've not
- 1:23:02read them. I've read the first two there. I really enjoy them.
- 1:23:05They're about like a group of like seventy year old retirees solving murder mysteries.
- 1:23:13It's so funny. It's it's genuinely delightful Matt and his friends and very funny.
- 1:23:18God, I love murder mystery more like ex James Bond retiree and her
- 1:23:24friends. Oh yeah, okay, it's really good. They're very witty.
- 1:23:28Uh, and really enjoyable because they're all just these delightful old people. It's
- 1:23:31fit. And look, before we get to the final scores, we're not
- 1:23:36We're not here to promote Richard Osmond's buck. Oh no, that's not the
- 1:23:41buck. We're here to promote because before we get to the final schools,
- 1:23:44yeah, please a moment of glory before we lose. Hilariously, I think
- 1:23:48listeners can tell when the direction this is gone. But look, you've you
- 1:23:53now, as of this recording, you've had a book published which is incredible.
- 1:23:58Your novel Fane, yeah, is available now it is, And I'm
- 1:24:01now going to do the annoying thing and ask you to do all of that
- 1:24:04promotional stuff for our listeners. Yes, I have a book out called Fane.
- 1:24:09You can find it on Barnes Andomal, Amazon dot com or anywhere you
- 1:24:13find fine books. Ebooks also available at all the usual ebook places, but
- 1:24:16by it at smash Words. They give me the biggest cut. Good to
- 1:24:20know, but yeah, no, it's it's exciting and it's it's been it's
- 1:24:27been really, it's gone really well, like I've sold tens of copies nice
- 1:24:32and and uh yeah no, all the reviews have been excellent, So hopefully
- 1:24:38that keeps trending upwards, but fantastic. Can you give us the elevate a
- 1:24:42pitch of it like the brief synopsis? Sure, I'll do you one better
- 1:24:45than the book blurb. So there are seven people who total strangers, who
- 1:24:50wake up in a sealed compound, no idea how they got there. They're
- 1:24:55originally in like cells by themselves, but they do eventually get let out and
- 1:24:59meet each other in the whole, and they try to figure out what they
- 1:25:01have in common, but they can't find anything. And then they move into
- 1:25:04a larger room with like six more doors, and a computer voice tells them
- 1:25:09that they have to perform tasks in order to be able to leave sound familiar.
- 1:25:15Task Master was no small influence on this book, I should tell you.
- 1:25:20I mean, so anyone who's listening, today's Fain is for you.
- 1:25:25Yeah, Faine is. Absolutely. It's a thriller because if they fail the
- 1:25:29tasks or break the rules, they get a strike. The first two strikes
- 1:25:31result in extreme pain across their entire body, and the final the third strike
- 1:25:36is death. So as they try to survive the tasks without turning on each
- 1:25:43other, they have no idea that their actions or decisions could doom humanity as
- 1:25:48a whole or save it. Oh wow, Yeah, there's a lot more
- 1:25:53than you know. Yeah, sounds great. I had I just had the
- 1:25:59eye idea last year and I just could not I couldn't stop. I immediately
- 1:26:03started putting it to paper and I just kept going until I was done.
- 1:26:05And I was like, my god, I wrote a novel, now what.
- 1:26:10It's a fantastic achievement. So I'm I'm very pleased with it, and
- 1:26:14everybody who has read it has seemed to like it. I haven't gotten a
- 1:26:16single negative review yet. I mean, I'm waiting for it. I'm hoping
- 1:26:19for it. It eventually does come, But so far, everybody seems to
- 1:26:25dig it. And that's a good well if you if you're desperate for one,
- 1:26:27I could just performatively do one. I mean, yeah, I've insulted
- 1:26:30you through your face like four times. It would be over fair, would
- 1:26:33be only fair. I can't recommend it enough. I've read it. I
- 1:26:38read the very first draft. He's only saying that because he's basically in it.
- 1:26:43I'm just gonna let you know right now, there is a character who
- 1:26:45is very much based on Stevie n naturally, he is the comic relief character,
- 1:26:50but he also has some really emotional moments too, so he's not just
- 1:26:54a He's not just a two dimensional dude like the real one. Look,
- 1:27:03I've made a character that's more real than you. I can believe it.
- 1:27:08I made a more real use in this book. Oh brilliant. I might
- 1:27:15try and snager a signed copy from from I absolutely will send you as and
