SPEAKER_01: You know, we were just saying how I I don't know how the certain younger generations find certain songs that that's uh gonna be the one that they're gonna go to.
• 0:08
SPEAKER_01: You were talking about the uh new Whitney Barbie doll, which is the I Wanna Dance with Somebody era Barbie doll.
• 0:14
SPEAKER_01: So it's got that kind of loose head, I guess we call it like a like a bandana type.
• 0:18
  SPEAKER_01: It's a bow.
• 0:19
SPEAKER_01: A bow, if you will.
• 0:20
  SPEAKER_01: Yes.
• 0:20
SPEAKER_00: And uh and then it's got really bright eyeshadow and a really bright outfit because that's what she was wearing in the I Wanna Dance with Somebody music video all the way back from 1987.
• 0:31
SPEAKER_01: I mean, I but and you said you were recently at a wedding where all the young people were dancing to that stuff.
• 0:36
  SPEAKER_01: Yes, yeah.
• 0:36
SPEAKER_00: They they were they were dancing from to everything from like Journey to ABBA to this, but then they were also were like dipping into like Pitbull and more of the like millennial songs, too.
• 0:47
  SPEAKER_01: Right?
• 0:47
SPEAKER_01: Let me ask you this.
• 0:48
SPEAKER_01: This one's gonna be tough because you're immediately gonna want to go.
• 0:52
SPEAKER_01: Absolutely, they would remember this.
• 0:54
SPEAKER_01: Does everybody remember Billy Madison?
• 0:56
SPEAKER_01: That movie now is a minute old.
• 0:58
SPEAKER_01: You know, that's a good question because.
• 1:01
SPEAKER_01: Because I don't think everybody remembers uh Goldmember and uh and all the Austin Powers.
• 1:06
SPEAKER_01: I think there's a huge generation that was like, they either haven't rediscovered it yet or because God, that movie's funny.
• 1:13
SPEAKER_01: But you know, it I don't know that it's one of those ones that you put on the list of like, well, you have to see Austin Powers.
• 1:20
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 1:20
SPEAKER_00: Is Billy Madison a cult classic?
• 1:21
SPEAKER_00: Because now this is eye-opening.
• 1:23
SPEAKER_00: I just looked to see when did Milly Billy Madison come out?
• 1:26
  SPEAKER_00: February 10th, 1995.
• 1:29
  SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
• 1:30
SPEAKER_00: I really thought it was like 2000.
• 1:32
  SPEAKER_01: Uh me too.
• 1:32
SPEAKER_01: Well, the reason I say that is this uh dad went to TikTok, embarrassed his fifth grader, fifth grader, uh, by singing the Billy Madison back to school song.
• 1:41
SPEAKER_01: Back to school, back to school to prove to dad that I'm not a fool.
• 1:48
SPEAKER_01: My lunch bagged up, my boots tied.
• 1:50
SPEAKER_01: By the way, that dad sounds a lot like uh uh Adam Sandler.
• 1:58
  SPEAKER_00: Oh back to school.
• 2:00
  SPEAKER_00: That's so cute.
• 2:01
SPEAKER_00: Also, Adam Sandler, I'm looking at the trailer for it from 1995.
• 2:06
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he looks like such a baby.
• 2:07
SPEAKER_00: Because you know, like now there's the Adam Sandler like outfit that everyone wears, which is just like the gym shorts, uh really big hoodie, but he looks like a baby in this.
• 2:19
  SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
• 2:20
SPEAKER_01: He looks a lot more dad-ish now.
• 2:21
SPEAKER_00: So speaking of this, and if you have not seen this on the Scott and Alley TikTok, you need to go watch this.
• 2:26
SPEAKER_00: So we had something go viral a couple weeks ago, and there were some interesting questions that kept coming from the video.
• 2:33
SPEAKER_00: So, you know, there's all these comments, and people were commenting about the coworker we were talking about, but a lot of people said, We're confused at where you work, because you have to think when something goes viral, then not all these people live here.
• 2:45
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 2:45
SPEAKER_00: So they're like, We're confused at where you work, and we're very confused at your dress code.
• 2:49
SPEAKER_00: So I ended up doing a follow-up TikTok of this is what we wear in an office that we don't have a dress code.
• 2:56
SPEAKER_00: And we saw like our OM, she was wearing jeans and a t-shirt, right?
• 3:00
  SPEAKER_00: Sure, yeah.
• 3:00
SPEAKER_00: Scott was wearing khaki shorts, and I think you were wearing your navy polo.
• 3:05
  SPEAKER_01: That might have been.
• 3:06
  SPEAKER_00: I was wearing cut-off jean shorts and a see-through leopard top.
• 3:10
SPEAKER_00: So you get the point.
• 3:10
  SPEAKER_00: Like it's it's a smattering of things.
• 3:14
SPEAKER_00: Well, a recent fashion trend in the business world is one that I would laugh if somebody came into the office with this.
• 3:21
SPEAKER_00: Picture a suit jacket and shorts.
• 3:25
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, that's weird.
• 3:26
SPEAKER_01: No, there was that subculture in the 80s, and it all came from risky business with Tom Cruise, another movie probably nobody knows anymore.
• 3:35
  SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
• 3:35
SPEAKER_01: Uh, but Or do you?
• 3:37
SPEAKER_01: And he slid across the floor, and I think didn't he have at first the jacket on and then this is an old scene, guys.
• 3:46
SPEAKER_00: I don't know, because all I remember is the white button-up shirt, tidy whiteies, and socks.
• 3:50
SPEAKER_01: Okay, yeah, well, yes, exactly.
• 3:52
SPEAKER_01: Uh I think, yeah, but I think he was getting out of the outfit, if I remember correctly.
• 3:57
  SPEAKER_01: It's been a long time.
• 3:58
SPEAKER_00: I don't think I've ever actually seen that full movie.
• 4:01
SPEAKER_01: There's only really one person that would pull it off.
• 4:04
SPEAKER_01: It would be the trickster in the office.
• 4:05
SPEAKER_01: It would be the guy that's, you know, kind of the jokester.
• 4:08
SPEAKER_00: So would that be you?
• 4:09
  SPEAKER_01: Well, no, I don't even know.
• 4:10
SPEAKER_01: I mean, yeah, might do it as a gag.
• 4:14
SPEAKER_01: It's not like I would leave the house going, well, this is what I'm gonna do today.
• 4:17
  SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna wear a suit.
• 4:18
SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna wear a suit from the waist up and shorts.
• 4:20
SPEAKER_00: Well, you never even wear a suit.
• 4:22
  SPEAKER_00: So you're right.
• 4:22
SPEAKER_00: That that would never happen.
• 4:24
SPEAKER_01: If I were, I mean, that but there is that one person sometimes in high school.
• 4:28
SPEAKER_01: Everybody knew that one person that's sort of, you were like, Well, that's an interesting look.
• 4:32
SPEAKER_00: Guess where it came up?
• 4:33
SPEAKER_00: Where it popped up at?
• 4:34
SPEAKER_00: In Spider-Man into the Spider-Verse, this was worn.
• 4:38
  SPEAKER_00: I knew I remembered this.
• 4:39
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, I don't even remember that.
• 4:40
SPEAKER_00: But I was even thinking, you're right, there's gotta be like from the 80s.
• 4:43
SPEAKER_00: Wasn't there even a Wasn't even Ferris Bueller's Day off a scene like this?
• 4:47
SPEAKER_00: That's what yes, something like that.
• 4:50
SPEAKER_00: But regardless, I think that started because of the Zoom days.
• 4:53
SPEAKER_00: Yeah where you were where you were very, very business with the colours.
• 4:57
SPEAKER_01: We're not on Zoom, I'm in the office again.
• 4:59
SPEAKER_00: I just don't think I could take you seriously.
• 5:02
  SPEAKER_00: You wouldn't.
• 5:03
SPEAKER_00: Looking at for some reason, it's your hairy legs.
• 5:07
  SPEAKER_00: It is.
