Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: The following program is produced by the tech Talk Radio Network.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Hey what's up. This is Tom Arnold and you're listening
- 0:06Speaker 2: to tech Talk Radio.
- 0:07Speaker 1: They're really great and I love him.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Hey, how about a copy of Windows? Can I get
- 0:12Speaker 2: a laptop?
- 0:13Speaker 1: Welcome to another episode of tech Talk Radio. I'm Andy Taylor,
- 0:17Speaker 1: I'm Sean de Weird, and I'm justin let me. It's
- 0:19Speaker 1: good to see all three of you. Help you're uh
- 0:22Speaker 1: that would be all three of us. Yeah, I'm gonna
- 0:25Speaker 1: say where wait? Where is somebody else we're missing here?
- 0:28Speaker 1: We well, we invited Matt. We thought Matt was going
- 0:31Speaker 1: to be able to join us again this week, but no,
- 0:33Speaker 1: Matt's he has an electrician at his house, so hopefully
- 0:37Speaker 1: he has electricity. That could be the reason why I
- 0:39Speaker 1: don't he does it. Maybe he does it, but you know,
- 0:43Speaker 1: we haven't been able to really talk since the big game.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Of course, the Super Bowl game took place. What do
- 0:48Speaker 1: you just want to know? What do you guys think?
- 0:50Speaker 2: Not a football fan? So I didn't.
- 0:52Speaker 1: I kind of was.
- 0:52Speaker 2: It was on and life went on. There were a
- 0:56Speaker 2: couple of good ads, there were a couple of bad ads.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Hit or miss every year. I wish we could go
- 1:00Speaker 2: back twenty years to when nobody knew what the ads
- 1:04Speaker 2: were going to be. Yeah, exactly, no spoilers, no early releases,
- 1:09Speaker 2: no previews, no, none of that. And you were just
- 1:11Speaker 2: shocked at what came out on TV. And those are
- 1:15Speaker 2: the days of the good Dorito ads. Snickers had good ads.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Now it's just corporate AI slop at this point.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Giredo's always had like great and Budweiser they also had
- 1:25Speaker 1: of course great ads as well. But yeah, it seemed
- 1:28Speaker 1: like what surprised me this year, and I know if
- 1:30Speaker 1: you caught them, but the AI ads which were freaking
- 1:34Speaker 1: people out because there's a lot of them. These were
- 1:36Speaker 1: not ads that utilized AI. Well they did to a
- 1:39Speaker 1: certain extent, but they were ads purporting Okay, we've got
- 1:42Speaker 1: this AI model coming out, We've got this AI model
- 1:45Speaker 1: coming out. These people are there watching a football game.
- 1:48Speaker 1: There was one exception of that. I do. I did
- 1:51Speaker 1: like how Anthropic, which was is the maker of Claude.
- 1:57Speaker 1: I do like how they poked fun at Chad Gpt
- 2:01Speaker 1: with the whole you know, putting ads in AI. Yeah,
- 2:05Speaker 1: that was and that was actually a pretty funny one.
- 2:07Speaker 1: If you haven't seen that one, just look up Claude
- 2:09Speaker 1: super Bowl ad. Those were actually kind of funny. But no,
- 2:12Speaker 1: there was there were countless ads that I saw that
- 2:14Speaker 1: I was like, all right, this is this is AI. Yeah,
- 2:17Speaker 1: they're they're just they're just going cheap. I mean, first off, yeah,
- 2:21Speaker 1: it's expensive to put a Super Bowl ad. I think
- 2:23Speaker 1: what was it this year was fifty million dollars for
- 2:26Speaker 1: thirty seconds? They said it was ten million. And then
- 2:29Speaker 1: of course you've got to pay when you have tech
- 2:31Speaker 1: like the duncan Ad you had to pay all those people.
- 2:34Speaker 1: But you know, Jason Alexander and all those you had
- 2:36Speaker 1: to pay all of them the money to be in
- 2:38Speaker 1: the ad. That's not cheap. You don't get around that really.
- 2:41Speaker 2: So it's probably like a fifty to one hundred dollars
- 2:43Speaker 2: ad campaign, depending on how much you want to spend
- 2:45Speaker 2: on it.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Fifty to one hundred dollars million, No, one hundred million.
- 2:49Speaker 1: You didn't say a million, you just had fifty to
- 2:51Speaker 1: one hundred. I'm like, a hundred year? Is it is?
- 2:54Speaker 1: This Super Bowl one?
- 2:56Speaker 2: Yeah? They had TV back then.
- 3:00Speaker 1: I gotta I gotta tell you I'm sporting something I found.
- 3:04Speaker 1: You guys do this. You start going through like boxes
- 3:08Speaker 1: of stuff and you say, oh wow, look at that.
- 3:11Speaker 1: I found that. And the old days you used to
- 3:13Speaker 1: be able to get in the old days used to
- 3:16Speaker 1: be able to get like Okay Manday posters and stuff
- 3:21Speaker 1: for like tech companies. I still have Microsoft posters from
- 3:24Speaker 1: going back to you know, Windows ninety eight and stuff
- 3:27Speaker 1: like that. And I found this shirt. I found four
- 3:30Speaker 1: of them in perfect condition, the old duel Dude, you're
- 3:34Speaker 1: gonna you remember the ad campaign, Dude, you're gonna get Adel. Dude,
- 3:37Speaker 1: you're getting Adel. Yeah, oh yeah, oh my gosh. I
- 3:41Speaker 1: found four of these shirts. I mean they were perfectly
- 3:44Speaker 1: in a bag put away against you know what I can.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I can certainly I think part with the other ones
- 3:51Speaker 1: that we could all wear them at the same time.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I think, so we're gonna have to do that. And
- 3:55Speaker 1: again I did look on eBay and they are going
- 3:57Speaker 1: for quite a penny penny oh, and really only one
- 4:00Speaker 1: of them has been worn.
- 4:01Speaker 2: And this was it was a fairly well known ad
- 4:03Speaker 2: campaign for Dell. I mean it was every every Dell
- 4:06Speaker 2: commercial had that you know, dude, you're gonna.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Do whatever happened to that guy, the dude, you're getting
- 4:11Speaker 1: a Dell guy.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Also, I'll research him in the break and figure it out.
- 4:14Speaker 1: You do the Google feel on that and find out
- 4:16Speaker 1: because that was a that was a great ad campaign.
- 4:18Speaker 1: You know, we're talking about ads and that bit.
- 4:21Speaker 2: So you're talking about good eggead campaigns, right. So there
- 4:24Speaker 2: were some bad ad campaigns this year.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Yeah, definitely.
- 4:27Speaker 2: So the one that stuck out the most was the
- 4:29Speaker 2: ring camera ad. That Oh that actually that surprised everybody.
- 4:35Speaker 2: That fell on everybody. Hey, what's okay? Your dog is missing?
- 4:40Speaker 2: Uh oh, go to the ring app, type in your
- 4:42Speaker 2: dog's name, maybe put a picture in there, and then
- 4:45Speaker 2: hit send. And now it's using AI and it's searching
- 4:48Speaker 2: every camera in your neighborhood for looking for your dog.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Wow.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Anybody that has it enabled, which if you read about it,
- 4:56Speaker 2: it's enabled by default searching for your dog and it'll
- 4:58Speaker 2: alert you your dog it has been found at so
- 5:01Speaker 2: and so's address. Boo, it's been spotted and you can
- 5:03Speaker 2: go track it down.
- 5:04Speaker 1: They were, you know, they were showing that to tougue
- 5:07Speaker 1: on the heartstrings, not realizing people are going, I think
- 5:10Speaker 1: a lot of us are saying, well, well wait a minute,
- 5:12Speaker 1: wait a minute, big brother.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Hold what do you mean my camera can show somebod
- 5:15Speaker 2: else's dog and report their location to them and given
- 5:18Speaker 2: the feed, and like, can they see it live? Can
- 5:21Speaker 2: they just get a picture? Do they get the video?
- 5:24Speaker 2: Can they download it and keep it?
- 5:25Speaker 1: Like?
- 5:26Speaker 2: What if it shows something else on my property? That
- 5:29Speaker 2: seemed to be out of left field for them to
- 5:32Speaker 2: announce that had been no mention of it beforehand. I
- 5:35Speaker 2: mean we knew they had been doing something similar to
- 5:37Speaker 2: this with like the Amazon sidewalk piece and some other stuff.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Yeah, why do you play Ring camera for our listeners
- 5:43Speaker 1: that don't know Ring? I believe it's owned by Amazon
- 5:46Speaker 1: now right, Yes, And they have this feature on Amazon
- 5:50Speaker 1: that a lot of people, I think they sign up
- 5:52Speaker 1: they don't even know when they've got a smart device
- 5:56Speaker 1: called sidewalk. A lot of people don't even know that
- 5:59Speaker 1: what's sidewalk is all about.
- 6:01Speaker 2: So think of it like, say you have an Amazon
- 6:03Speaker 2: enabled device and it can it's its web reaches out
- 6:07Speaker 2: to the side the sidewalk right outside your window, outside
- 6:10Speaker 2: your house, et cetera. Somebody else walking by with the
- 6:14Speaker 2: phone that has the Amazon ab installed can then sniff
- 6:18Speaker 2: that and say, oh, there's an Amazon device use its
- 6:21Speaker 2: data uses to upload to download, et cetera. All just
- 6:25Speaker 2: because there's an Amazon device there, but that was the
- 6:28Speaker 2: Amazon sidewalk. It's using your network, your Internet. It's yeah, so.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Well that's the same thing that happens with UH with
- 6:35Speaker 1: UH Exfinity, correct, If you have Exfinity Internet, you automatically
- 6:40Speaker 1: have a built in hot spot for anybody that's walking
- 6:44Speaker 1: by your house or anywhere within range of your home
- 6:47Speaker 1: can connect to your Wi Fi and not necessarily your WiFi,
- 6:51Speaker 1: but it's using your internet pipe. And I don't know
- 6:55Speaker 1: how that actually works in terms of if somebody's searching
- 6:58Speaker 1: some stuff that they shouldn't be searching or doing an
- 7:01Speaker 1: illegal activities, it's going to come down on you because
- 7:04Speaker 1: you're the account holder. Yeah, you could turn that off,
- 7:07Speaker 1: but again do they let people know about that?
- 7:12Speaker 2: But why would they? It's in the tos you signed
- 7:15Speaker 2: up for it. Did you read it? No, nobody does.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Squirrel scroll scroll click, Squirrel scroll scroll click. That's what
- 7:21Speaker 2: everybody blows through the terms of service and they know that, right,
- 7:25Speaker 2: they jam stuff into those terms of services that are
- 7:27Speaker 2: not good for the consumer. And unlike other countries that
- 7:31Speaker 2: are not on this continent, we have garbage user protection
- 7:35Speaker 2: loss against that stuff where these types of things in like.
- 7:40Speaker 1: The EU would be seen.
- 7:42Speaker 2: By a judge and thrown out and say you can't
- 7:44Speaker 2: do this, get out of here.
- 7:45Speaker 1: You hear a lot about lawsuits the EU has done
- 7:48Speaker 1: against Google, against Amazon, against some of these big against like.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Big gaming companies that put in loot boxes because it's
- 7:56Speaker 2: gambling targeted towards teenagers, that's illegal.
- 7:58Speaker 1: In the EU. Well, I'm not in the EU, but other.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Some countries in the EU, but like England, here we
- 8:04Speaker 2: don't nobody cares. Parents don't care, kids can gamble, and
- 8:08Speaker 2: you know, we can see where that systemic problem has
- 8:09Speaker 2: brought us.
- 8:10Speaker 1: There was talk this week about a lot of suit.
- 8:12Speaker 1: This show's brought to you by DraftKings. There was a
- 8:15Speaker 1: there was a lawsuit that was talked about this week
- 8:18Speaker 1: And I don't know how you guys feel about this
- 8:19Speaker 1: where they're saying that streaming services that stream video YouTube
- 8:23Speaker 1: one of them of course has the about with YouTube shorts.
- 8:26Speaker 1: You're just constantly scrolling Oh my god, my kid is
- 8:30Speaker 1: doing that all the time. Yeah, and YouTube shorts, I'm like,
- 8:34Speaker 1: stop watching this slop. Do you want to watch them?
- 8:36Speaker 1: Watch an actual video, like a long form video. No,
- 8:41Speaker 1: it's it's ten fifteen seconds, twenty seconds, maybe thirty at
- 8:45Speaker 1: the most of just content and he just constantly scrolling
- 8:49Speaker 1: through it. Maybe it's doing one now with reels where
- 8:54Speaker 1: you'll watch a reel and you'll see, oh, I want
- 8:56Speaker 1: to watch this, and you'll get about halfway through and
- 8:59Speaker 1: boom there's an AD and okay, you wait for the
- 9:02Speaker 1: the ad doesn't go away. You can't get back to
- 9:05Speaker 1: that reel to finish it. So you scroll to the
- 9:06Speaker 1: next one, and you scroll to the next one. Snapchat
- 9:09Speaker 1: does it. Of course TikTok does it. But it's gotten
- 9:12Speaker 1: to the point where there the EU said, n this
- 9:16Speaker 1: is this is the wrong way to kind of you know,
- 9:19Speaker 1: absorb people in. So they felt that it was important
- 9:23Speaker 1: enough that they had to file quite a big lawsuit
- 9:26Speaker 1: against some of the companies that were doing this. But
- 9:28Speaker 1: nothing in the US about that. And I don't think
- 9:31Speaker 1: a lot of parents know about the fact that, yes,
- 9:33Speaker 1: it's built to just scroll next one, next one, next one.
- 9:38Speaker 1: A lot of parents they say, okay, well, we're gonna
- 9:40Speaker 1: get our kid a device. We want, you know, want
- 9:43Speaker 1: them to be able to and it's true, you want
- 9:44Speaker 1: them to know what is out there, but then again
- 9:48Speaker 1: at what cost? You know, big story this week. I
- 9:52Speaker 1: don't know if you guys caught this obviously, Nancy Guthrie's
- 9:56Speaker 1: abduction from her home here in Tucson, Sean. Are you
- 10:00Speaker 1: hearing this story out in Indiana?
- 10:02Speaker 2: It's definitely out here. And I know that it has
- 10:05Speaker 2: some I mean I don't watch a whole lot of
- 10:07Speaker 2: news and right now anyways, except the tech news, but
- 10:11Speaker 2: I know that it involves some masked dudes on a
- 10:14Speaker 2: ring cam and some other things and some blood and
- 10:17Speaker 2: an abduction. And but uh, you know Nancy Guthrie's daughter.
- 10:23Speaker 1: There or teared radio justin you you knew you worked
- 10:27Speaker 1: with Savannah when she was just a beat reporter at Kagun. Yeah.
- 10:30Speaker 1: And the crazy thing is it's there was so much
- 10:34Speaker 1: AI misdirection that is being done so much at first,
- 10:39Speaker 1: you know, the family when they finally got the video
- 10:42Speaker 1: from from Google and they were able to post that video,
- 10:46Speaker 1: there were people who were using AI to remove the mask.
- 10:50Speaker 1: You know, the guy had that full mask on and
- 10:54Speaker 1: people were thinking, oh, that's the guy. I'm like, no,
- 10:57Speaker 1: that's an AI creation. What's some what's some a model
- 11:00Speaker 1: thought maybe this guy could look like it's not the
- 11:02Speaker 1: guy the other one. And I was talking with Gloria
- 11:06Speaker 1: and I were talking about it today. I said, how
- 11:08Speaker 1: did they get into the house? I want to know that,
- 11:11Speaker 1: and she will. She opened the door for them, and
- 11:14Speaker 1: I looked at her, I said, why would she open
- 11:15Speaker 1: the door two in the morning. Well, they got video
- 11:18Speaker 1: of her on the doorstep with him, and I said,
- 11:20Speaker 1: that's Ai. That's not him, that's not her. That never happened.
- 11:25Speaker 1: But so many of these videos get posted that people
- 11:28Speaker 1: think that that's what happened, and that's that's not so. Again,
- 11:32Speaker 1: Ais make it hard for us to trust anything we
- 11:36Speaker 1: see anymore, anything I see online, I'm like, the first
- 11:39Speaker 1: my first thought is is this is this Ai? It's
- 11:41Speaker 1: ridiculous though it really truly is. It's like everything you see,
- 11:44Speaker 1: You're just like, I don't know this is aar and
- 11:47Speaker 1: I but I'm gonna say it's Ai. But you know,
- 11:50Speaker 1: my question is is if there was a video of
- 11:52Speaker 1: this person in front of this lady's house and they
- 11:56Speaker 1: abducted her and there was blood at the front door,
- 12:01Speaker 1: don't you think there would be a video of herb
- 12:03Speaker 1: getting pulled out of the house as well? Well, I'm
- 12:06Speaker 1: thinking there is stuff and I mentioned it last week
- 12:08Speaker 1: on the show. I think there's stuff they're not showing
- 12:10Speaker 1: us because number one, yeah, if they scrubbed the video
- 12:13Speaker 1: for that time, there had to have been a car
- 12:16Speaker 1: that was maybe passing by at that time, and we
- 12:20Speaker 1: talked about that last week. Do they have this part?
- 12:23Speaker 1: Now there's a push. There's a representative here in Arizona,
- 12:27Speaker 1: I believe her name is Alma Hernandez that has issued
- 12:30Speaker 1: a statement saying that she wants streamers to go home.
- 12:33Speaker 1: There are streamers from around the world and around the
- 12:35Speaker 1: country that have parked in front of the Guthrie home
- 12:38Speaker 1: and they're streaming just constantly four to seven, constantly talking
- 12:44Speaker 1: about what has happened, and then lots of false, misladying statements,
- 12:50Speaker 1: even creating some of this AI that is, well, this
- 12:53Speaker 1: person could look like this, here's what our model came
- 12:56Speaker 1: up with. And that's nothing. That does nothing for You're
- 13:00Speaker 1: not helping the investigation, No, not at all. So I
- 13:03Speaker 1: saw something today too. It talked about you know, because
- 13:06Speaker 1: Savannah's Savannah left the Today Show to deal with this
- 13:11Speaker 1: family issue and now they're talking about and again I
- 13:14Speaker 1: don't know how much truth it is in this again,
- 13:17Speaker 1: is nobody even trusts the media anymore? Period. But they're
- 13:20Speaker 1: talking about Savanna's considering just leaving the Today Show indefinitely,
- 13:25Speaker 1: just saying I'm done because something about she thought that
- 13:30Speaker 1: this whole thing was because because of her high profile
- 13:35Speaker 1: that made her family a target. I don't even know.
- 13:37Speaker 1: I don't know what that The other the other side
- 13:39Speaker 1: of the thing was I've heard stories that this was
- 13:42Speaker 1: a botched robbery, that they just picked a random house
- 13:46Speaker 1: and it ended up being this house, and once they
- 13:47Speaker 1: found out who it was, they were like, oh, and
- 13:50Speaker 1: they didn't know what to do, you know, But like,
- 13:52Speaker 1: it's just so much that's unknown about this. I mean,
- 13:56Speaker 1: it's scary. I feel for the family, it really do.
- 13:58Speaker 1: And I'm at record time on this at the beginning
- 14:02Speaker 1: of the week. We don't know how this will play out.
- 14:04Speaker 1: By the end of the week. It changes every day.
- 14:06Speaker 1: So we're just hoping that if there is DNA definitely
- 14:10Speaker 1: on that glove, that they were able to identify somebody
- 14:12Speaker 1: and able to get her home. At least that's the case,
- 14:16Speaker 1: which is interesting, you know, talking about the AI portion
- 14:19Speaker 1: of all of this. We did get a listener question
- 14:21Speaker 1: in from Laura in Tucson, but she says, it seems
- 14:24Speaker 1: everywhere you turn around AI is a subject. My children
- 14:28Speaker 1: are thirteen and fifteen and want to start looking at
- 14:30Speaker 1: this stuff. But where should they start or should I
- 14:33Speaker 1: even go in that direction. We have a family computer
- 14:36Speaker 1: that's always a great IDEA family computer that's right there,
- 14:40Speaker 1: so you can see what they're doing on the computer,
- 14:42Speaker 1: so they share time with and I want to get
- 14:44Speaker 1: a feel for it as well. It's good mom, So
- 14:47Speaker 1: I think it's good that they learn it. But for me,
- 14:48Speaker 1: it's uncharted territory. Laura, what would we recommend in this case?
- 14:54Speaker 1: It's kind of like, if you don't let them experiment,
- 14:58Speaker 1: are they going to be missing out? Or would they
- 15:00Speaker 1: be using the wrong models because somebody said, oh, try
- 15:04Speaker 1: this model. You know, you look at what had happened
- 15:07Speaker 1: with ByteDance and their model that was taking Hollywood celebrities
- 15:11Speaker 1: and pitting them against easer each other and just throwing
- 15:15Speaker 1: out the copyright for motion picture actresses and actors. I'm
- 15:20Speaker 1: not sure how I would answer this particular question at
- 15:24Speaker 1: this very second, I'm thinking about it, but let me
- 15:27Speaker 1: give an analogy while I'm thinking about it. All right,
- 15:31Speaker 1: I liken this question to when I was a kid,
- 15:38Speaker 1: when I was about thirteen fifteen, maybe a little bit
- 15:41Speaker 1: older and wanting to do research, and I had to
- 15:46Speaker 1: use a encyclopedia, like an actual encyclopedia. Do you remember
- 15:53Speaker 1: what those were, oh, the humanity, Yes, the large bookcase
- 15:58Speaker 1: filled with like thirty or forty encyclopedias. And then comes
- 16:01Speaker 1: along this wonderful little website called Wikipedia, where I could
- 16:08Speaker 1: just search up anything I wanted and I could find
- 16:11Speaker 1: the content that I needed. This is kind of like
- 16:17Speaker 1: the new Wikipedia in a way, but way more powerful.
- 16:21Speaker 1: I think maybe the fact checking was a little more
- 16:25Speaker 1: intense on Wikipedia. I don't think that you are getting
- 16:28Speaker 1: so many different sources it's hard to get the actual
- 16:31Speaker 1: facts right. I mean, well, yeah, I mean Wikipedia has
- 16:34Speaker 1: gone through a lot of stuff where people are like, yeah,
- 16:35Speaker 1: I don't trust Wikipedia. Anybody can edit it and it's
- 16:38Speaker 1: not always factual, and yeah, I get that. Yeah, it's
- 16:41Speaker 1: the same thing. That's why I'm kind of likening this
- 16:43Speaker 1: to Wikipedia, because Wikipedia is not perfect knit. Neither is AI.
- 16:48Speaker 2: I think with just like with any other technology or
- 16:53Speaker 2: societal vice, if you will, you just have to have
- 16:56Speaker 2: an open, honest conversation with your kids about it. Be open,
- 17:01Speaker 2: be honest, don't sugarcoat it for them. Tell them there
- 17:04Speaker 2: are dangers about using AI, right, There's dangers about using
- 17:08Speaker 2: AI to manipulate things. There's dangers about AI to research things.
- 17:13Speaker 2: You may find out things you don't want to find
- 17:14Speaker 2: out you don't you can't unread things unfortunately, Right, So
- 17:18Speaker 2: it's just being careful helping your kids navigate the wonders
- 17:22Speaker 2: of the Internet and being for them to answer questions
- 17:26Speaker 2: like hey, I found this, or hey, groc gave me
- 17:31Speaker 2: this prompt back. And it kind of terrified me having
- 17:33Speaker 2: those open conversations, making sure your kids can come to
- 17:37Speaker 2: you with the answer or the questions they have and
- 17:40Speaker 2: I may not know them, if you know, my kids
- 17:42Speaker 2: aren't old enough to use the Internet, but when they are,
- 17:45Speaker 2: I hope that they can come to me and then
- 17:47Speaker 2: they say, hey, I have this question about Grock or
- 17:50Speaker 2: whatever platform we're using. I may not know the answer,
- 17:54Speaker 2: but I'll try my best to get the answer for
- 17:56Speaker 2: them and then help guide them through the challenges that
- 17:58Speaker 2: it presents, like not letting them have unfetted access to
- 18:02Speaker 2: it like a lot of people are right now, and
- 18:04Speaker 2: kids using AI to make deep fakes of their friends,
- 18:09Speaker 2: get their friends in trouble.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Be certain they don't know. That's fun.
- 18:14Speaker 2: So it's like choices, decisions, consequences. Right, there's this this,
- 18:17Speaker 2: there's these levels you have to go through with this
- 18:19Speaker 2: type of technology with your kids. You have to communicate
- 18:22Speaker 2: with your kids. You cannot just let them sit at
- 18:25Speaker 2: the computer unobated and let them run wild. If you
- 18:30Speaker 2: see them prompting out, maybe put some safeguards in place.
- 18:33Speaker 2: I don't know if there are printal guide guidance pieces
- 18:35Speaker 2: for this. You know, check up on them, see what
- 18:38Speaker 2: they're prompting. Encourage conversation about Hey, you guys, were you know,
- 18:42Speaker 2: if you're interested in this piece of technology or this
- 18:45Speaker 2: avenue of what you're shouting for, great, let's have a
- 18:47Speaker 2: conversation about that. Or hey, this is kind of scary.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Maybe you shouldn't be searching down this rabbit hole of
- 18:53Speaker 2: the internet. So that's that's my advice is just be open,
- 18:56Speaker 2: be honest, be involved with what your kids are doing
- 18:59Speaker 2: on the internet, and things are going to turn out just fine.
- 19:02Speaker 1: So, you know, speaking of AI and letting kids use AI,
- 19:05Speaker 1: you know, I we've we've talked about this in the past.
- 19:09Speaker 1: I I've fought the battle of allowing my son Eric
- 19:14Speaker 1: to play Roadblocks because Roadblocks has a lot of bad
- 19:18Speaker 1: you know places, dark corners of Roadblocks. There's a lot
- 19:22Speaker 1: of bad things out there. However, I've lost that battle,
- 19:27Speaker 1: and every one of his friends are playing Roadblocks. So
- 19:30Speaker 1: I turned to the parental controls. I turned to AI
- 19:34Speaker 1: to help me lock down Roadblocks. Yeah, and it's drastically helped,
- 19:39Speaker 1: Like I can allow him to play the certain games
- 19:43Speaker 1: that his friends play, and I've already vetted these games
- 19:46Speaker 1: and I'm like, oh, yep, that's that's a that's an
- 19:48Speaker 1: okay one you can play. However, he came to me
- 19:51Speaker 1: and said, Dad, I want to make my own Roadblocks game.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Can you help me? I said, I can't because I
- 19:58Speaker 1: don't know how to use Roadblock Studio. This is this
- 20:00Speaker 1: is where people go. It's like you got Roadblocks the game,
- 20:04Speaker 1: and then you've got Roadblock Studio, which is where you
- 20:06Speaker 1: can go to create a Roadblocks game. And so every
- 20:10Speaker 1: game in Roadblocks is user created. It's created by either
- 20:14Speaker 1: individuals or companies really and they put it into the Roadblock.
- 20:19Speaker 1: So Roadblocks is not a game. Roadblocks is a platform
- 20:22Speaker 1: made by gamers. And so every game on Roadblocks is
- 20:28Speaker 1: included with the game. The game is free to play,
- 20:31Speaker 1: and then when you join a game, there's always going
- 20:33Speaker 1: to be these you know, like Sean mentioned earlier, these
- 20:36Speaker 1: loot boxes and a little bit of gambling esque type
- 20:39Speaker 1: of things, you know, with with with stuff. But that's
- 20:42Speaker 1: just the way the world is. But he wanted to
- 20:45Speaker 1: make a Roadblocks game and I said, I don't know
- 20:48Speaker 1: how to do that. Yeah, but I can tell you
- 20:49Speaker 1: who does. And I told him, I said, if you
- 20:54Speaker 1: have a question like how do I make my character
- 20:57Speaker 1: move from point A to point B in Roadblock Studio,
- 21:00Speaker 1: I said, use chat gpt or use rock And so
- 21:05Speaker 1: he was like, I don't know what is that. I'm like,
- 21:07Speaker 1: it's it's it's like an assistant. It'll it'll help you.
- 21:11Speaker 1: He used chat gpt. He figured out how to use chattybet.
- 21:14Speaker 1: And I watch him when he's doing this kind of stuff.
- 21:15Speaker 1: I'm always looking over his shoulder and I'm monitoring what
- 21:18Speaker 1: he's doing. He used chatgypt and he has a fully
- 21:22Speaker 1: functioning Roadblocks game. Wow. And I'm when when I'm talking
- 21:26Speaker 1: about making a game, I'm talking about actual coding, like
- 21:30Speaker 1: real Python coding. He would go into Chattybet and say
- 21:36Speaker 1: how do I make a sound effect of a sword
- 21:40Speaker 1: clinking against another sword? And it would say, all right, yeah,
- 21:44Speaker 1: do this code. He would just copy the code, put
- 21:47Speaker 1: it into Roadblock studio and then he would test it
- 21:49Speaker 1: out and bam, all of a sudden, ding ding d
- 21:52Speaker 1: the swords would click. Wow, you got it. And it
- 21:56Speaker 1: was something we didn't have when we were younger. And
- 21:58Speaker 1: just because it does so much, again, I still think
- 22:02Speaker 1: you have to have the guardrails in you still, Like
- 22:05Speaker 1: Sean said, I think you still, But again, I mean,
- 22:08Speaker 1: how cool is that is? How much time saved too.
- 22:11Speaker 1: I remember having to go to the library. We didn't
- 22:13Speaker 1: have encyclopedias. My parents couldn't afford that, so I'd go
- 22:15Speaker 1: to Hunting Beach Public Library, you know, and I would
- 22:18Speaker 1: search the archives there. Now you know kids like ten
- 22:22Speaker 1: years ago doing a decimal system. Oh yeah, look it
- 22:25Speaker 1: up on the computer on Wikipedia. And then you've got
- 22:29Speaker 1: Google to be able to search stuff with. And now
- 22:32Speaker 1: you've got the engines that not only find it for you,
- 22:36Speaker 1: will provide more info for you. I mean, I've used
- 22:40Speaker 1: it in my rate. I used the web, but my
- 22:42Speaker 1: radio career used to have books and then you had encyclopedias,
- 22:46Speaker 1: and then you had Wikipedia, and now I've got voice.
- 22:50Speaker 1: I could just ask it and say, hey, tell me
- 22:53Speaker 1: about this artist, and it will tell me or about
- 22:55Speaker 1: a song. On playing it makes me sound like I
- 22:57Speaker 1: know what I'm talking about. Sorry, listeners, actually, relias, you
- 23:00Speaker 1: should probably know this. This is a caveat. Andy is
- 23:04Speaker 1: actually sick right now. This is actually what you're hearing
- 23:07Speaker 1: is an AI rendition of Andy. It we created an
- 23:11Speaker 1: AI boy Andy Andy perfect. But yeah, I think your
- 23:18Speaker 1: way of doing that and getting him to understand that
- 23:20Speaker 1: it can and he'll maybe, you know, learn how to
- 23:24Speaker 1: create like he's done. Now, there's other things you could
- 23:28Speaker 1: have him fixed the plumbing in the house or you know,
- 23:31Speaker 1: maybe some gardening, yard work. Well you know, speaking of
- 23:36Speaker 1: the speaking of fixing the plumbing, Yeah, I actually, uh
- 23:39Speaker 1: are wash our dishwasher. It's it's having this weird squeal
- 23:43Speaker 1: when it when it starts to fill up the tub, right,
- 23:46Speaker 1: I'm like, what is causing that? So I went I
- 23:48Speaker 1: went to groc and I'm like, hey, what causes a
- 23:51Speaker 1: dishwasher to squeal? And it was like, yeah, it's a
- 23:53Speaker 1: failing inlet valve And it's pretty easy to fix. Here's
- 23:56Speaker 1: how you fix it step one, two, three, four, And
- 23:59Speaker 1: I'm like, huh, it'll even give you a link to
- 24:02Speaker 1: a YouTube video or somebody. And I was like, my
- 24:04Speaker 1: response was, can you give me a link to a
- 24:07Speaker 1: local plumber that works out perfectly? All right, listen, we
- 24:13Speaker 1: gotta take a break. We come back with more of
- 24:15Speaker 1: tech talk Radio. We got more listener questions. So big
- 24:17Speaker 1: news Apple, there you go. Justin Apple's got something coming
- 24:21Speaker 1: down a pike. We'll talk about that and more. I'm
- 24:23Speaker 1: Andy Taylor, I'm Seonda wear It.
- 24:25Speaker 2: Find a link to Justin's plumber on our Facebook page.
- 24:29Speaker 1: And I'm Justin. Let me find us on the web
- 24:31Speaker 1: at tech talk radio dot com. We'll be right back
- 24:34Speaker 1: now back to tech talk Radio.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Welcome back to tech talk Radio. We got another listener question.
- 24:39Speaker 2: I know we just answered one of the last segments,
- 24:41Speaker 2: but this one is right up my alley.
- 24:43Speaker 1: All right.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Question is from Susan and Green Valley. I missed some
- 24:46Speaker 2: of the old computer games I used to play. You
- 24:49Speaker 2: mentioned a website where I might find some of them.
- 24:51Speaker 2: I never had an Xboxer PlayStation. I played on Windows
- 24:54Speaker 2: ninety five. Where can I find these?
- 24:58Speaker 1: Oh?
- 24:59Speaker 2: So Susan, right up your alley, because this is the
- 25:02Speaker 2: era where I grew up playing on was Windows ninety five,
- 25:06Speaker 2: Windows ninety eight XP, you know the gambit. The platform
- 25:10Speaker 2: that I use currently is called Good Old Games go
- 25:13Speaker 2: og dot com. It's a platform you can go on
- 25:16Speaker 2: and they've done digital remasters of a lot of really
- 25:19Speaker 2: good classic games, all the Apergy games, all the Sierra
- 25:22Speaker 2: Games games you never thought you would see again. Now
- 25:26Speaker 2: obviously it's not all of them, but it's a lot.
- 25:28Speaker 1: They had the tomb Raider games on there, didn't.
- 25:30Speaker 2: They correct, Yeah, they have the tomb Raider games on there.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Those also just got remastered and re released. If you're
- 25:35Speaker 2: looking for more further back than Windows ninety five, the
- 25:39Speaker 2: Internet archive is a great place to start.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Oh yeah, we play them on there.
- 25:43Speaker 2: Yeah, because you can actually run them in your browser
- 25:45Speaker 2: running Doss box. So if you want to play some
- 25:48Speaker 2: of these older doss games, I mean there's thousands of
- 25:51Speaker 2: these games, right. Internet archive is a great place.
- 25:53Speaker 1: How do you get to there? You just to go
- 25:55Speaker 1: to Internet.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Archives that are good, or google Doss games Internet archives.
- 25:59Speaker 2: The benefit of GG is that you can get the
- 26:02Speaker 2: downloaders for the games and their DRM free meaning you
- 26:06Speaker 2: don't need to be running their platform to run it.
- 26:09Speaker 2: It's not gonna search for an internet connection to run it.
- 26:11Speaker 2: You can download the games, put it on a flash drive,
- 26:14Speaker 2: store it, install it, uninstalled it at your own at
- 26:17Speaker 2: your own free will. And that's the benefit of GGS.
- 26:21Speaker 2: You can get some of that DRM free stuff.
- 26:22Speaker 1: I'm not con steamed, but this way you also.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Correct you own it. You own in a world where
- 26:28Speaker 2: digital ownership is is not a priority for a lot
- 26:31Speaker 2: of companies. This is this is kind of a shining
- 26:34Speaker 2: gem in the sand.
- 26:35Speaker 1: So cool.
- 26:36Speaker 2: The next piece of this, and this is this is
- 26:37Speaker 2: important because this happened last week. Who here, I think
- 26:40Speaker 2: both of you played it. Diablo two.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Oh yeah, relate it. Yeah.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Last week Blizzard held a Diablo thirtieth anniver free like
- 26:50Speaker 2: a show piece, and they were showing off the new
- 26:53Speaker 2: class for Diablo four. Ah, this Warlock. It's the rate
- 26:57Speaker 2: of the Warlock. It's gonna be great. Also available for
- 26:59Speaker 2: Diablo More and Diablo two. Wait wait, wait, hold on, wait,
- 27:03Speaker 2: yeah what Diablo two. And they're like, oh, yeah, by
- 27:08Speaker 2: the way, you can now play this Warlock in Diablo two,
- 27:12Speaker 2: brand new class. It's twenty twenty six drop a brand
- 27:15Speaker 2: new class for Diablo two, and it's available right now.
- 27:18Speaker 2: They're literally in the thing. They're like, it's available right now.
- 27:21Speaker 1: How would you have if you didn't have Diabolo two installed?
- 27:23Speaker 1: How would you get it? So?
- 27:24Speaker 2: You can buy it from Blizzard and it's now available
- 27:27Speaker 2: on Steam.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Oh look at that, that's go.
- 27:31Speaker 2: It's no longer just available from Blizzard from the Blizzard launcher.
- 27:34Speaker 2: It's also available on Steam. It gave some other quality
- 27:37Speaker 2: of life updates, some extra hard hardened character towards the end,
- 27:41Speaker 2: a couple extra bonus featured things at the end. But
- 27:44Speaker 2: it's the first class announced for Diablo two well playable
- 27:49Speaker 2: in Diablo two since Lord of Destruction was released in
- 27:52Speaker 2: two thousand and two.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Wow. Twenty four years. Twenty wow, that's as long as
- 27:58Speaker 1: it's taken a rock Star to make GTA six, which gt.
- 28:02Speaker 2: It just got pushed back again. Yeah, so not no
- 28:05Speaker 2: longer November, so we'll see when GTA six comes.
- 28:08Speaker 1: That.
- 28:08Speaker 2: That was kind of one of the memes going around
- 28:10Speaker 2: the Reddit forums, right was, oh man, we got a
- 28:13Speaker 2: new class in Diablo two before we got GTA six.
- 28:18Speaker 2: So yeah, so g og Internet Archive, you know you're
- 28:23Speaker 2: gonna go waste some time. It's gonna be great now.
- 28:26Speaker 2: I don't I don't want to call it wasting time,
- 28:28Speaker 2: because if it's if you're enjoying yourself, it's not really
- 28:30Speaker 2: wasting time. Go get some nostalgia and if you're into
- 28:33Speaker 2: you know, I'll pitch this one again too, right, if
- 28:36Speaker 2: you're into the Nintenda sixty four, the Analog three D,
- 28:40Speaker 2: the mod Retro M sixty four is coming out soon too,
- 28:43Speaker 2: So that's another version of A sixty four made by
- 28:45Speaker 2: a separate company that's making another hardware in Nintendo sixty four.
- 28:49Speaker 2: It's interesting to take a step back into the games
- 28:54Speaker 2: before the Internet, before they were all tied into being
- 28:59Speaker 2: able to use the Internet to find your way, being
- 29:01Speaker 2: able to use the Internet to get items, spend money,
- 29:04Speaker 2: et cetera. Adventuring RPGs that actually make you.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Adventuring games are so much fun.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Until you go back and shut yourself off from the
- 29:14Speaker 2: Internet and play some of these, you don't realize how
- 29:16Speaker 2: much of that is missing from current games.
- 29:18Speaker 1: All right, let me let me ask you guys, all right,
- 29:20Speaker 1: what was better Diablo World of Warcraft?
- 29:25Speaker 3: I mean, those are those are two completely separate platforms. Right,
- 29:28Speaker 3: I mean you can't you can't take you can't take
- 29:31Speaker 3: Diablo two as an ARPG action adventure RPG, and World
- 29:35Speaker 3: of Warcraft, which is massively online MMO massively multiplay online game.
- 29:39Speaker 3: There are two completely separate platforms, right, ones a hack
- 29:42Speaker 3: and Slash dungeon grinder, dungeon you know, dungeon Crawler.
- 29:46Speaker 1: The other one is.
- 29:47Speaker 2: An open world MMO that you play. That is, there's
- 29:50Speaker 2: an expected level of community involvement. Right. I liked them both.
- 29:54Speaker 2: I've spent probably equal amounts of time in both worlds.
- 29:57Speaker 1: You're locked into a basement, all right, you're there. You're
- 30:00Speaker 1: to be there for a week. You're stuck. You've got
- 30:03Speaker 1: two games in the shelves, Diablo, World of Warcraft. Which
- 30:07Speaker 1: one are you playing? You can only play one Diablo Diablo. Yeah, yeah,
- 30:13Speaker 1: I mean speaking of World of Warcraft, I mean it's gone.
- 30:16Speaker 1: They I have not played that in many, many, many years.
- 30:20Speaker 1: I know, Sean, you have played World of Warcraft more recently. Yeah,
- 30:24Speaker 1: I keep up on it.
- 30:25Speaker 2: I've got coworkers that keep playing it. I've got co
- 30:27Speaker 2: workers that are playing it now.
- 30:29Speaker 1: I've got friends are playing gotten really really bad.
- 30:33Speaker 2: It's not bad. It's just not it's not what it
- 30:37Speaker 2: was when they've introduced.
- 30:39Speaker 1: The designing your own house, so they're basically turning the
- 30:43Speaker 1: Hoard into the SIMS.
- 30:46Speaker 2: Yeah. So yeah. With the release of Midnight, which is
- 30:50Speaker 2: the most recent expansion for World of Warcraft and the
- 30:52Speaker 2: last of the of the of the War Within saga,
- 30:56Speaker 2: they introduced player housing. Yeah, meaning your character can have
- 31:00Speaker 2: a house and you can design it with job and
- 31:05Speaker 2: some house probably just like SIMS, but you can design
- 31:09Speaker 2: it with in game elements from around as the world
- 31:13Speaker 2: of Azrath right and next to.
- 31:15Speaker 1: A battlefield with SIMS a b off the war this
- 31:22Speaker 1: is it's horrible, but.
- 31:24Speaker 2: Anyway, so the content is still there, you know, it
- 31:28Speaker 2: still hasn't really lost its feel. It's still an MMO.
- 31:34Speaker 2: It's just in a weird place. It's the gaming world
- 31:38Speaker 2: is in a weird place, right, So it's like, this
- 31:40Speaker 2: is the last expansion. This is the last expansion in
- 31:42Speaker 2: this three tiers saga called The War Within, and then
- 31:47Speaker 2: they're gonna move forward. So we'll see because they actually
- 31:51Speaker 2: have a BlizzCon this year twenty twenty six, so hopefully
- 31:54Speaker 2: they're going to announce what is going to be the
- 31:57Speaker 2: next major step for all franchises. But here's when Diablo Diablo.
- 32:04Speaker 2: To everybody's surprise, the Diablo franchise has been driving Blizzard.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Which Nope.
- 32:09Speaker 2: If you would have told me six years ago that
- 32:11Speaker 2: the Diablo franchise would have been driving Blizzard, I would
- 32:15Speaker 2: have said, you're crazy.
- 32:16Speaker 1: See Andy, here's where you made your mistake. Well mentioned
- 32:19Speaker 1: World of Warcraft and Diablo in the same sentence. Now,
- 32:22Speaker 1: Sean is never going to shut up.
- 32:24Speaker 2: I won't. I won't. I'm very passionate about these two platforms.
- 32:29Speaker 1: If you guys are watching his video right now, eighties
- 32:32Speaker 1: over here, like wrapping up, Sean, let's go, let's go.
- 32:38Speaker 1: All right, So I remember, like we're talking about gamings,
- 32:42Speaker 1: and we were kind of wax and poetic here. There
- 32:44Speaker 1: was some great games that came out. I mean we
- 32:46Speaker 1: all so many times you talk to somebody to go
- 32:49Speaker 1: Doom or you know, Castle Wolfenstein. You know they were great.
- 32:53Speaker 1: I mean a lot of us, you know that would
- 32:54Speaker 1: started gaming. That was like the fun, right, But there
- 32:58Speaker 1: was two games that I played and I absolutely loved.
- 33:02Speaker 1: One of them was called Rayman, all right, and if
- 33:05Speaker 1: you remember Rayman, the other was Monkey Island. I don't know.
- 33:10Speaker 2: I don't even remember.
- 33:11Speaker 1: Why shoot Larry? Well Lee, I never got My parents
- 33:15Speaker 1: would not let me play leisure Sute Larry. Come on,
- 33:17Speaker 1: I was a kid when Lisiashut Larry came out. You
- 33:19Speaker 1: were already an adult. I wasn't allowed to play it.
- 33:22Speaker 1: You were an adult. No, I wasn't at that time.
- 33:26Speaker 1: When did Leisure Suit Larry came up? Come out Xbox?
- 33:29Speaker 2: It was an Xbox game.
- 33:30Speaker 1: So maybe my wife wouldn't let me play it. Maybe
- 33:32Speaker 1: that I was gonna say, you're dude, you're old enough
- 33:36Speaker 1: to be my dad. I'm sorry, but you had you
- 33:38Speaker 1: had plenty about Unless you're talking to your like seventy
- 33:41Speaker 1: five years mom, can I play this? She's like, you're
- 33:43Speaker 1: thirty years old? Figure it out? All right? Here's here's
- 33:47Speaker 1: the good news. Rayman is coming out with this thirtieth
- 33:51Speaker 1: anniversary edition. If you liked playing Rayman. The thirtieth Anniversary
- 33:56Speaker 1: Edition is available this week for moviesoft and it's available
- 34:00Speaker 1: on Switch, PS five, PC and Steam.
- 34:04Speaker 2: So you mentioned Doom. I want to just there is
- 34:08Speaker 2: a great corner of the Internet that it's called will
- 34:13Speaker 2: It Run Doom?
- 34:14Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 34:15Speaker 2: Yeah, really, where developers, people technologically minded people try and
- 34:20Speaker 2: run Doom. No matter what if it can run one
- 34:24Speaker 2: frame a second, one frame every two minutes, whatever, if
- 34:28Speaker 2: it can process Doom and you can play Doom in
- 34:31Speaker 2: some capacity. People have run it on pregnancy tests, they've
- 34:36Speaker 2: run them on Tomagachi's, they've run them on.
- 34:41Speaker 1: Subway ties, we've actually run them. There was a post
- 34:45Speaker 1: I don't remember what game it was, but somebody got
- 34:47Speaker 1: Doomed to run on a virtual computer inside of another game.
- 34:53Speaker 1: So you'll play the game and then you would walk
- 34:55Speaker 1: into your house and there was a desktop computer on
- 34:59Speaker 1: in side this game, and you could sit down on
- 35:01Speaker 1: this virtual computer and you could play Doom. So you're
- 35:04Speaker 1: playing Doom. It's like inception, like you're playing a computer
- 35:07Speaker 1: game within a computer game.
- 35:09Speaker 2: But yeah, but there's a corner of the Internet where
- 35:11Speaker 2: just people tried to make Doom run on literally anything.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Well, pregnancy test, that's pretty far out there. Somebody got
- 35:18Speaker 1: to run on an air fryer, an air fryer, yeah,
- 35:21Speaker 1: there was somebody that got to run on an air fryer. Yeah,
- 35:24Speaker 1: because it had like an LCD display and they were
- 35:27Speaker 1: able to hack it.
- 35:28Speaker 2: You don't realize how much like how much memory is
- 35:32Speaker 2: in these things to run these little ESPs or whatever.
- 35:35Speaker 2: It's way more than what some computers back then had.
- 35:38Speaker 2: They ran Doom.
- 35:40Speaker 1: A couple of years ago. A couple of years ago,
- 35:42Speaker 1: I tried out the Revolution toaster. Yeah, if you guys
- 35:46Speaker 1: remember that one, and I think it's still out there.
- 35:49Speaker 1: But it's a it's a toaster that has an LED
- 35:52Speaker 1: screen and you could do the settings all there on
- 35:55Speaker 1: the screen, the whole bit. But I think it could
- 35:57Speaker 1: play videos. You could probably get Tom to run on
- 36:00Speaker 1: one of those fridges. Then I can run Doom on
- 36:03Speaker 1: my fridge. Right now, I've got the Samsung with the
- 36:05Speaker 1: whole big old landscape or portrait style screen on it. Yeah,
- 36:11Speaker 1: you got to try it and then send us a screenshot. Oh,
- 36:14Speaker 1: I don't want to do that because I swear to God,
- 36:16Speaker 1: Eric would never leave the fridge. Why, okay, I want
- 36:19Speaker 1: to share some sad news for you. Go to break
- 36:21Speaker 1: he Deki Sato, the father of Stega hardware, has passed
- 36:26Speaker 1: away at the age of seventy seven. He worked from
- 36:28Speaker 1: Sega from seventy one to the early two thousands. He'd
- 36:32Speaker 1: help develop the Sega Arcade Games home consoles, the SG
- 36:36Speaker 1: one thousand to the Genesis to the Saturn and one
- 36:39Speaker 1: of my favorites. I had this one, the Dreamcast. Yeah,
- 36:42Speaker 1: the Dreamcast was way ahead of its time. It was
- 36:45Speaker 1: way ahead of its time. Yeah it was. I mean
- 36:47Speaker 1: it was the first one that had online capable play.
- 36:51Speaker 1: I mean you would connect a telephone cord into it
- 36:54Speaker 1: and use a dial up internet service to connect to
- 36:56Speaker 1: the Internet. Yeah, I had a Dreamcast. I bought the
- 36:59Speaker 1: Dreamcast on launch day and I loved it. I mean,
- 37:03Speaker 1: crazy Taxi, Sonic, oh, Crazy, a couple other ones. I
- 37:06Speaker 1: hurt exact the top of my head. Wow, crazy Taxi.
- 37:09Speaker 1: I remember that. That was great, Crazy Taxi. Yeah. But
- 37:12Speaker 1: now I've actually had the uh, the honor of going
- 37:16Speaker 1: because I used to live in Japan, So I've had
- 37:19Speaker 1: the honor of going to Sega's headquarters and and seeing,
- 37:24Speaker 1: you know, the museum there, and and reading about this guy,
- 37:28Speaker 1: and just realizing how important he was to video games
- 37:33Speaker 1: that we now know today. If it wasn't for him,
- 37:36Speaker 1: we may not have ever had a home console because
- 37:41Speaker 1: Nintendo wasn't even really in the game at that time.
- 37:45Speaker 1: Sega Sega was big. Sega made all of these old
- 37:49Speaker 1: school arcade machines and and like Pachinko, gambling machines and
- 37:54Speaker 1: things like that, and this guy came in said, why
- 37:57Speaker 1: not we put this in homes? Why can't we put
- 37:59Speaker 1: this homes? And so then he designed this alongside the
- 38:04Speaker 1: same time that Nintendo was considering to do the same
- 38:08Speaker 1: type of thing. Nintendo beat him to the market. Sega
- 38:12Speaker 1: was shortly there, right behind them, and it was a
- 38:15Speaker 1: complete You know, back in the day it was Sega
- 38:18Speaker 1: versus Nintendo. It wasn't. It wasn't Sega versus Nintendo versus Sony.
- 38:23Speaker 1: Sony didn't even exist in the video game market at
- 38:26Speaker 1: the time. As a fun fact, the Sony PlayStation was
- 38:30Speaker 1: birthed because Nintendo had a contract with Sony to develop
- 38:37Speaker 1: a CD ROM attachment for the Nintendo console, and at
- 38:43Speaker 1: the last minute, Nintendo pulled out and said, Nope, We're
- 38:46Speaker 1: not going to do it, and Sony was like, well, heck,
- 38:49Speaker 1: we already have all the technology here. Let's just make
- 38:52Speaker 1: our own console. And therefore the PlayStation was born. Wow,
- 38:57Speaker 1: all right, we gotta take a break. We come back
- 38:58Speaker 1: with more of tech Talk Radio. I'm Andy Taylor, I'm
- 39:01Speaker 1: Sean de Weird, and I'm Justin Lemmy. Find us on
- 39:05Speaker 1: x at tech Talk Radio. We'll wear it back and
- 39:08Speaker 1: now back to tech talk Radio. We have another listener question. Hi, guys,
- 39:13Speaker 1: where's the girl you had on the show a while ago?
- 39:16Speaker 1: You mean Matt oh whoa whoa come over there and
- 39:21Speaker 1: poke you in the eye. Well, you know, Matt's not
- 39:23Speaker 1: here to defend himself, so he can. Yeah whatever, No,
- 39:26Speaker 1: you talking about Amanda? Amanda.
- 39:31Speaker 2: Every time we reached out to Amanda, she's just so busy,
- 39:34Speaker 2: right with all the education stuff that she's doing. She
- 39:36Speaker 2: got voted into like the top forty under forty educators.
- 39:42Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, like tech teachers.
- 39:43Speaker 2: And she's just doing so much good for her Like,
- 39:46Speaker 2: she's doing so many good things and it's just a time.
- 39:50Speaker 1: Yeah. She It was always fun having her on the show,
- 39:52Speaker 1: and she had a good sense of humor and she
- 39:55Speaker 1: had a mouth. Though I'd have to do more editing,
- 39:57Speaker 1: so sorry, Amanda.
- 39:59Speaker 2: Yeah, you guys thought I there's a lot.
- 40:00Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, Roger continues, He says, I love the show.
- 40:03Speaker 1: A couple of weeks back, where Justin talked about getting
- 40:06Speaker 1: a power wall, I wondered, though I've heard stories about
- 40:09Speaker 1: colder tempts and electric vehicles, has that been an issue? Thanks,
- 40:13Speaker 1: and keep up the great work. And that's Roger from Tucson.
- 40:16Speaker 1: So Roger, yeah, I did end up getting the power
- 40:19Speaker 1: wall fully installed. It is operational. I have it signed
- 40:22Speaker 1: off by the energy company, so we are using it.
- 40:26Speaker 1: They actually put the photo in the video cast, so
- 40:29Speaker 1: I was able to put that in there. So it's
- 40:31Speaker 1: pretty cool you could see it. Yeah, yeah, definitely, and
- 40:33Speaker 1: the power wall works great. Definitely love it. To your
- 40:36Speaker 1: question there, Roger, yes, there is issues with colder temperatures. Now,
- 40:41Speaker 1: I live in Denver. I would expect that Denver would
- 40:46Speaker 1: usually be cold this time of year, but we have
- 40:48Speaker 1: had an unseasonably warm winter. I think we've gotten a
- 40:51Speaker 1: total of a quarter inch of snow. Otherwise it's been
- 40:55Speaker 1: abound sixty five seventy degrees year. I mean this whole
- 40:59Speaker 1: this whole season, like every day is like seventy degrees.
- 41:01Speaker 1: I mean people are gone playing golf every day. But
- 41:04Speaker 1: to answer your question, yes, colder temps electric vehicles. It
- 41:08Speaker 1: does cause a range issue on electric vehicles. If your
- 41:13Speaker 1: vehicle is too cold, it takes the battery pack longer
- 41:16Speaker 1: to warm up, and therefore you do get a decreased
- 41:20Speaker 1: mileage on your electric vehicle. Also, you know electric vehicles
- 41:24Speaker 1: are extremely heavy. My Tesla model why is over a
- 41:27Speaker 1: ton and it's just a small little car. Yeah, but
- 41:30Speaker 1: it's the battery pack. So it's a very very heavy car,
- 41:33Speaker 1: which you would think, oh, great, heavy car is great
- 41:36Speaker 1: on snow, great on ice. No, no, no it's not.
- 41:38Speaker 1: Especially the Teslas are not that great on snow and
- 41:42Speaker 1: ice because they have the automatic braking. It's a one
- 41:46Speaker 1: pedal system. I mean, yes, there is a brake pedal.
- 41:49Speaker 1: What it's a one pedal driving system. You mean there's
- 41:52Speaker 1: not like accelerator break. No, there is an accelerator and
- 41:56Speaker 1: is a break, but you don't need to break. As
- 41:57Speaker 1: soon as you let up on the accelerator, the break
- 41:59Speaker 1: automatic he kicks in. Oh, and it slows the car down,
- 42:03Speaker 1: which is great for normal driving. It is pooh your
- 42:09Speaker 1: pants when it's iced out, because the one thing you
- 42:13Speaker 1: do not want to do on ice is slam on
- 42:15Speaker 1: the brakes. Right, So when I let off the accelerator
- 42:18Speaker 1: and it's icy, the car just starts sliding and fish
- 42:21Speaker 1: tailing and the butt comes out and I'm like, oh
- 42:23Speaker 1: my god, I'm going to die. Yeah, but yeah, when
- 42:26Speaker 1: the colder tempts, yeah, of course it takes but now
- 42:29Speaker 1: that doesn't affect the power wall. I don't believe, because
- 42:33Speaker 1: that thing always has electricity pulsing through it, and electricity
- 42:37Speaker 1: by default just generates heat, so that battery pack is
- 42:41Speaker 1: always going to mean warm. It's a good question because
- 42:43Speaker 1: I think for any of us that have run like
- 42:45Speaker 1: I have the Neft storebell or cameras in other parts
- 42:49Speaker 1: that are run off battery wise, I don't know if
- 42:52Speaker 1: they have this problem they're Sean, but when they're battery
- 42:55Speaker 1: you'll tend to go through your battery a lot faster
- 42:57Speaker 1: when it's colder, yes, or even when it's super hot
- 43:00Speaker 1: like we get here. Yeah, So yeah, that can affect
- 43:02Speaker 1: a battery life. Yeah, it does. It definitely does. I mean, uh, Sean,
- 43:06Speaker 1: you mean you have a lunch a lot of wisecams.
- 43:08Speaker 1: I know that my Nest doorbell cam. It used to
- 43:11Speaker 1: be back in the day when I had it, the
- 43:14Speaker 1: Google Nest doorbell cam, when it was super cold out,
- 43:16Speaker 1: it would say, hey, the Nest cam is offline because
- 43:18Speaker 1: it's just too darn cold.
- 43:20Speaker 2: So I would take this whole temperature thing a different
- 43:22Speaker 2: little bit of a different direction, right, So upgrading our
- 43:26Speaker 2: camper battery to a lithium liium lithium iron phosphate battery,
- 43:31Speaker 2: so another type of lithium chemistry for battery. They do
- 43:36Speaker 2: have cold concerns. This is like below zero sub sub
- 43:41Speaker 2: zero temperatures where the lithium ions moves slower, so they
- 43:45Speaker 2: can't charge at the higher voltage because it can damage
- 43:48Speaker 2: if you're providing too much voltage, it can damage the
- 43:51Speaker 2: lithium plating, which is irreversible in those types of batteries.
- 43:54Speaker 2: So the recommendation is you either keep it in a
- 43:58Speaker 2: contained inside like a battery container that has air moving
- 44:03Speaker 2: around to keep it from getting cold, or you just
- 44:07Speaker 2: get it a solar charger, a chargee whether it's solar
- 44:10Speaker 2: charger or DC to DC charging that can do low
- 44:13Speaker 2: temperature cutoff so it doesn't charge when it's too cold
- 44:16Speaker 2: because you just don't want to damage your battery.
- 44:18Speaker 1: So yeah, and I've had that with the Tesla, the
- 44:21Speaker 1: Tesla model Y car that I have in the past years,
- 44:25Speaker 1: when it has been cold and I've plugged it in
- 44:27Speaker 1: to go charge. One thing, first off, it won't start
- 44:31Speaker 1: charging right away. It'll actually warm the battery pack of
- 44:35Speaker 1: the car, now, not the car itself, not the interior
- 44:38Speaker 1: cabin of the vehicle. But it does warm the battery pack.
- 44:43Speaker 1: And I've experienced this firsthand using a supercharger, which charges
- 44:49Speaker 1: way faster than a home charger. And I remember being
- 44:53Speaker 1: at a supercharger when it was approximately I don't know
- 44:57Speaker 1: about fifteen to twenty degrees fahrenheit, and I remember seeing
- 45:01Speaker 1: steam come out of the bottom of the car, and
- 45:04Speaker 1: I thought my car was on fire. Oh man, But
- 45:06Speaker 1: that was just the That was the car itself warming
- 45:10Speaker 1: up the battery packs and sending hot air into the
- 45:14Speaker 1: battery packs, and then it would vent out the sides
- 45:17Speaker 1: and it looked like the car was on fire. But
- 45:19Speaker 1: that's just steam from that. So the car will warm
- 45:22Speaker 1: itself up, the car will warm the battery packs up,
- 45:25Speaker 1: excuse me, and then it will begin to charge. Same
- 45:27Speaker 1: thing goes for if I have it parked in the
- 45:29Speaker 1: garage overnight and I plug it in go to bed.
- 45:32Speaker 1: Sometimes I would wake up and it's like, wow, it's
- 45:35Speaker 1: only forty five percent charged. Why, well, because low temperature
- 45:39Speaker 1: cutof got it. Yeah. Now, is it true? You don't
- 45:43Speaker 1: have For those who don't know, I've never looked at Tesla,
- 45:47Speaker 1: you don't have a actual battery like we have in
- 45:50Speaker 1: our cars. You take that battery out, take it a
- 45:52Speaker 1: wal Mart. We do. There is a twelve volt battery
- 45:55Speaker 1: as well. But isn't the entire bottom of the vehicle
- 45:58Speaker 1: of battery. Yes, how that works. That's the drive train,
- 46:01Speaker 1: that is your engine. That battery that's underneath your car,
- 46:04Speaker 1: and it does take up the entire base the bottom
- 46:07Speaker 1: of the car, that is your engine. You do still
- 46:11Speaker 1: have a twelve volt battery.
- 46:13Speaker 2: I would love to fight any radio that could take
- 46:16Speaker 2: four hundred volts or whatever that battery puts out. No,
- 46:20Speaker 2: you have you still have to have a d C
- 46:23Speaker 2: to DC conversion. Right, The battery is obviously going to
- 46:25Speaker 2: get power from the battery at a much lower voltage.
- 46:28Speaker 1: So you're able to pick up AM radio from Helsinki, right,
- 46:31Speaker 1: is that the right?
- 46:32Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 46:33Speaker 1: No, that's the thing. Yeah, So I don't have an
- 46:35Speaker 1: AM radio in the Tesla. The Tesla does not have
- 46:38Speaker 1: AM radio because it interferes well, I'm sorry, the battery
- 46:42Speaker 1: interferes with the ability to pick up AM radio stations.
- 46:45Speaker 1: So they do not have an AM radio in Tesla's yep.
- 46:49Speaker 1: All right, So you're we're we're kind of giky, right,
- 46:53Speaker 1: we kind of like Star Wars kind of sort of
- 46:56Speaker 1: do you like Star Wars? Did you see there you're
- 47:00Speaker 1: gathering a Dell T shirt? You were like the nerd king.
- 47:05Speaker 1: All right, so there is And I don't know if
- 47:07Speaker 1: you and and you know your son or you know Sean,
- 47:10Speaker 1: you and your I want to do this with my grandkid.
- 47:13Speaker 1: But do Lego? And Lego's become like super popular recently,
- 47:19Speaker 1: and I don't know what, it's always been popular.
- 47:20Speaker 2: It's always been popular.
- 47:22Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's like the price for Lego. I remember,
- 47:25Speaker 1: you know, you go out, you buy some Legos and
- 47:27Speaker 1: you build something and it's cool. Now the Star Wars
- 47:30Speaker 1: Most Wanted campaign because this new movie that's going to
- 47:34Speaker 1: be coming out, Mandalorian and Grogu. They've got a Star
- 47:37Speaker 1: Wars Razorcrest building set. But it's gonna go for one
- 47:41Speaker 1: hundred and fifty bucks. That's nothing, dude. There's a millennium
- 47:45Speaker 1: falcon that goes for a thousand. No, there's not really, yes,
- 47:48Speaker 1: look it up.
- 47:49Speaker 2: Look up, okay, look up? Yeahs now, just give me
- 47:55Speaker 2: a minute.
- 47:57Speaker 1: Okay, here we go go.
- 47:59Speaker 2: Look up, go look up. The Lord of the Rings
- 48:02Speaker 2: minaced Tirith one they're about to release. It stands like
- 48:05Speaker 2: four and a half feet tall.
- 48:07Speaker 1: Wow.
- 48:08Speaker 2: Yeah, look up all the Lord of the Rings, the
- 48:10Speaker 2: Riven Dell. One's like thirty nine hundred pieces.
- 48:13Speaker 1: That's just that. The boggles my mind. I saw the story.
- 48:16Speaker 1: I've saw one hundred and fifty bucks.
- 48:18Speaker 2: I've been buying Lego so like, I've been buying Legos
- 48:22Speaker 2: and not building them for the sole purpose of having
- 48:24Speaker 2: Max like when I had kids, to let my kids
- 48:27Speaker 2: build them. Right, Max now thinks that every day he
- 48:30Speaker 2: can come downstairs and open a new box of Legos
- 48:33Speaker 2: because I have so many that I've not opened. He's like, oh,
- 48:36Speaker 2: I just go open it. Just we can just build
- 48:37Speaker 2: a new one today, right Dad.
- 48:38Speaker 1: Yeah, And then they mix all the parts. Then you
- 48:41Speaker 1: mix all the parts together, and now you can never
- 48:43Speaker 1: build that actual Legos set. Wow. Like, so Eric has
- 48:47Speaker 1: a bunch of Legos too. My next door neighbor actually
- 48:50Speaker 1: has his basement is completely Legos, shelves, bins, His maintenance
- 48:57Speaker 1: closet is full of Legos. He has over a million
- 49:01Speaker 1: dollars in Legos in his house. So it's amazing.
- 49:04Speaker 2: If you want, if I'm just gonna recommend a couple
- 49:06Speaker 2: of things for somebody who maybe you have a big
- 49:08Speaker 2: bit of Legos you don't what to deal with, right right,
- 49:10Speaker 2: you can download the Lego app okay, and then if
- 49:15Speaker 2: you think, oh I had this set or look it
- 49:17Speaker 2: up on the app, there's the instruction tells you what
- 49:19Speaker 2: pieces you need, how many of each one you need.
- 49:22Speaker 2: Then you can build that one to search through the
- 49:24Speaker 2: bin figure it out. Or if you want to find
- 49:27Speaker 2: a community driven piece, bricklink right, Brickmaker. There's a handful
- 49:32Speaker 2: of really good websites out there. You have a set
- 49:34Speaker 2: that you've built on your own, you want to upload
- 49:36Speaker 2: it for to see if Lego will build it or
- 49:38Speaker 2: make it. The community is driving that people will have
- 49:41Speaker 2: getting people get Lego sets created by Lego all the time.
- 49:45Speaker 2: They're not the you know, the IP ones like Disney
- 49:47Speaker 2: or Marvel and that stuff like that. But there's a
- 49:49Speaker 2: lot of community driven Legos out there and it's all
- 49:51Speaker 2: just based off people that love Lego.
- 49:53Speaker 1: At this point, I'm gonna buy some Lego pieces and say, here, August,
- 49:57Speaker 1: this is a wall. I've just built a wall out
- 50:00Speaker 1: of Lego. This is what you have. And every time there's.
- 50:03Speaker 2: A spaceship out of like six pieces and runs around
- 50:05Speaker 2: the house flying it around like a space ship. It's
- 50:08Speaker 2: it's amazing every time we look like a spaceship.
- 50:11Speaker 1: But it is every time that Eric and I sit
- 50:13Speaker 1: down to build legos, I always end up building just
- 50:16Speaker 1: the most basic four wall house. That's what I would do.
- 50:20Speaker 1: And it's like all random bricks, and like one wall
- 50:23Speaker 1: is like seven blocks longer than the other wall. But
- 50:26Speaker 1: I'm like, I don't care whatever. All right, we gonna
- 50:29Speaker 1: take another quick break. We come back with more of
- 50:31Speaker 1: tech Talk Radio. We will let you know about the
- 50:33Speaker 1: big Apple announcement coming up. I'm Andy Taylor, I'm seand Weird,
- 50:37Speaker 1: and I'm Justin Lambie. Hey remember Facebook, you can still
- 50:40Speaker 1: find us there at tech Talk Radio. We'll be right
- 50:43Speaker 1: back and now fact to tech Talk Radio. So Apple
- 50:46Speaker 1: made an announcement this week. They've got something coming up,
- 50:48Speaker 1: called it a Special Apple Experience, and you're expected to
- 50:54Speaker 1: announce some new products. I don't you know, anytime any
- 50:57Speaker 1: of these companies, whether it be any of the computer
- 50:59Speaker 1: manu factors or anything, you kind of wonder, Okay, what
- 51:02Speaker 1: is it. Apple's announcements are usually pretty big. They're expected
- 51:06Speaker 1: to announce the iPhone seventeen e Wait, hold on, so
- 51:10Speaker 1: now they're just going to like putting letters behind the
- 51:13Speaker 1: number because they can't come up with anything better than that.
- 51:16Speaker 1: You can't call it the eighteen.
- 51:18Speaker 2: Well, they stopped calling them the scs because people started
- 51:20Speaker 2: referred to as the super cheaps.
- 51:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't I don't know how they're they're doing this.
- 51:25Speaker 1: You know, at the same time, Samsung is announced THEIRS
- 51:28Speaker 1: that is coming out MacBook Pro with M five. The
- 51:31Speaker 1: M five chips are supposed to be pretty amazing. I'll
- 51:33Speaker 1: give them that.
- 51:34Speaker 2: The M five tips are gonna be great. It's just
- 51:36Speaker 2: weird to think that we're already phasing out M one
- 51:39Speaker 2: and M two chips already. It feels like they just
- 51:42Speaker 2: been now and now it's like, oh, you have an
- 51:44Speaker 2: M one that's garbage. It might not even be supported
- 51:46Speaker 2: by the newest.
- 51:47Speaker 1: Version of Adobe.
- 51:49Speaker 2: Like what were that far already? Where the the Apple
- 51:52Speaker 2: silicon chips are already getting out paced by themselves. It's crazy.
- 51:57Speaker 1: Yeah, they've got to keep it like, hey, this is fresh. Especially,
- 52:01Speaker 1: you know, people have been a little angry at Microsoft,
- 52:04Speaker 1: angry at Windows Microslop. There has been and it just
- 52:09Speaker 1: it never seems to They've got one bug that comes
- 52:12Speaker 1: out and then another one comes comes back. So they've
- 52:16Speaker 1: they've got to keep getting the products out there so
- 52:19Speaker 1: people will go, oh, I'll tell I.
- 52:20Speaker 2: Mean, I've still to tell you guys this. There is
- 52:24Speaker 2: a big Linux momentum coming. Like, yes, Linux shares are
- 52:29Speaker 2: up four or five percent from where they were three
- 52:32Speaker 2: years ago. Yeah, and you're seeing you know, Goog, we
- 52:37Speaker 2: just talked about this a couple of us, you know,
- 52:38Speaker 2: a couple of segments ago. They are building a Linux
- 52:41Speaker 2: first platform for their for for Gog, meaning it'll be
- 52:46Speaker 2: a Linux driven platform so that you can get these
- 52:49Speaker 2: games on Linux.
- 52:51Speaker 1: I read ed Bott had an article uh a zd
- 52:54Speaker 1: net and in the article he said, you know, he's
- 52:57Speaker 1: he was able to migrate. They were able to get
- 53:00Speaker 1: over to Linux just to give it a try. The
- 53:02Speaker 1: one thing he was missing from that is Microsoft Hello,
- 53:07Speaker 1: which is a different way to log in that apparently
- 53:09Speaker 1: is not available on Linux yet or at least the
- 53:12Speaker 1: builds that he was doing. And he said he kind
- 53:15Speaker 1: of liked that. So I think anybody who moves from
- 53:18Speaker 1: Windows to Linux is gonna miss something. You know, I
- 53:22Speaker 1: don't know.
- 53:22Speaker 2: For sure, right, I mean, you have to think about
- 53:25Speaker 2: it from the ecosystem that you grew up in right,
- 53:28Speaker 2: I like the iPhone experience. Okay, I'm sure I could
- 53:32Speaker 2: get used to and enjoy and find a love the
- 53:35Speaker 2: Android experience. But I know and I'm comfortable with the
- 53:38Speaker 2: iOS experience. So everybody's gonna hate something or feel like
- 53:43Speaker 2: they have to give up something when moving to a
- 53:45Speaker 2: new platform. Nobody likes change. That's just the root of
- 53:48Speaker 2: it is that you're moving to a new platform. You
- 53:50Speaker 2: don't like change. You don't want to adapt because adapting something,
- 53:54Speaker 2: especially in a business sense, adapting something to a new platform,
- 53:57Speaker 2: costs money and time. Just not a lot of companies
- 54:01Speaker 2: want to do that.
- 54:01Speaker 1: So when I told Justin, okay, so I bought this iPhone,
- 54:06Speaker 1: not iPhone, that this this Google Pixel nine, you know,
- 54:09Speaker 1: pro and I'm not sure if I like it. And
- 54:12Speaker 1: Justin you were the one who tell me, hang in there,
- 54:14Speaker 1: just keep trying this and try that. And I'm glad.
- 54:18Speaker 1: I mean, I still have an iPhone, you know, I
- 54:21Speaker 1: use it as a business line, which never rings, thank
- 54:24Speaker 1: you people. But the Android has been actually pretty good.
- 54:28Speaker 1: I've been liking it. Yeah. And the same thing was
- 54:30Speaker 1: my wife. My wife had an iPhone and I was like, nope,
- 54:33Speaker 1: we're not getting another iPhone. You're getting an Android. She's like,
- 54:35Speaker 1: I don't want an Android. I don't want to switch
- 54:37Speaker 1: the same thing. Sean said. She switched. Took her a
- 54:41Speaker 1: couple of months and now she's like, I love Android.
- 54:45Speaker 1: I thought you were going to say that you weren't
- 54:46Speaker 1: sure you wanted to keep the wife. That's well, you know,
- 54:49Speaker 1: at the time, start to think of my choices, I thought,
- 54:53Speaker 1: just hang in there, they're okay. Wife's great. All right,
- 54:57Speaker 1: well listen. That wraps up this week's show. We love
- 54:59Speaker 1: your questions, so if you've got one, just drop us
- 55:02Speaker 1: a line tech Guys to E C. H. G U.
- 55:05Speaker 1: I asked at tech talk radio dot com, and you know,
- 55:07Speaker 1: we'll read your question on the air and hopefully answer
- 55:09Speaker 1: it correctly. That's all we can do is we'll give
- 55:12Speaker 1: you an AI answer the exactly. I'm Andy Taylor, I'm
- 55:17Speaker 1: Sean de Weird, and I'm justin Lemme. Next week we'll

- 55:24Speaker 1: it
