- 0:36Speaker 3: I'm the youngest here. It's been a great run. It's
- 0:42Speaker 3: been an honor, Chuck. I love you like the older
- 0:47Speaker 3: brother that I never had. And if you say something,
- 0:50Speaker 3: I will whoop your ass one last time on this
- 0:52Speaker 3: show right now. Ernie, you came to my house in
- 0:55Speaker 3: nineteen eighty nine, nineteen ninety one. Big honor signor for
- 0:59Speaker 3: me to be sitting up here with you. Kenny will
- 1:02Speaker 3: y'all embarrassed us in ninety four to ninety five of
- 1:05Speaker 3: you and m keen. You taught me what it was
- 1:06Speaker 3: to be a champion. And we're a family. I'm glad
- 1:10Speaker 3: we're sticking together. And like I said, even though the
- 1:13Speaker 3: name changes, the engine is still the same. And to
- 1:17Speaker 3: the new network, we're coming to We're not coming to
- 1:20Speaker 3: f around, and since it's the list show, I'm gonna
- 1:23Speaker 3: say it, we're not coming to look around. You kicking

- 1:38Speaker 2: Me see that number one time for the number one
- 1:40Speaker 2: show on TV, and we come over to.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Take over that next network too, Kenny.
- 1:48Speaker 2: It's a tough act of fallow.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Go ahead, tough actice up follow But it's been a
- 1:52Speaker 4: sweet obviously, you know, not just because us for a
- 1:55Speaker 4: moving but you know, it's been a history that has
- 1:59Speaker 4: been set by all of the people that have laid
- 2:03Speaker 4: the groundwork behind the scenes, before the scenes, the game crew,
- 2:06Speaker 4: the toss Back crew, Kevin Holland, who rejuvenated the name
- 2:10Speaker 4: the Jet. No one ever called me the Jet until
- 2:12Speaker 4: I got back to TNT. You know Craig Sager, who
- 2:16Speaker 4: I shared an office with, who sat down there with
- 2:19Speaker 4: me one day and said, you know, this could be
- 2:21Speaker 4: a career for you if you take this seriously. First
- 2:24Speaker 4: person ever told me I was good at it. So
- 2:27Speaker 4: I miss him, his family and you know, like I said,
- 2:31Speaker 4: we're gonna be We're going to see each other. But
- 2:33Speaker 4: the faces that you're going to miss, that you forget
- 2:37Speaker 4: that they're they're every day of your life. This has
- 2:40Speaker 4: just been a magnificent ride. And as Shaq said, we
- 2:44Speaker 4: ain't coming around.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Well, you know, listen. Obviously I got lucky and made
- 2:57Speaker 2: one of the best decisions ever. I was obviously going
- 3:01Speaker 2: to go to NBC and a friend of mine, Michael Jackson, says,
- 3:05Speaker 2: come to have done at Turner to make me look good.
- 3:08Speaker 2: And these guys took me out to dinner, and after
- 3:11Speaker 2: five hours I had to call the Great Dick Eversault
- 3:14Speaker 2: and say, hey, man, I'm gonna change my mind. I
- 3:16Speaker 2: want to thank Dick Eversaw for making me think about
- 3:19Speaker 2: doing television, but I want to thank Mark Lazareth who
- 3:23Speaker 2: hired me, David Leaving, my old boss, and Tara August,
- 3:26Speaker 2: my best friend. She's been there for me the whole time.
- 3:29Speaker 2: I just want to thank every single person who's been
- 3:31Speaker 2: at Turner with me the last twenty five years. Twenty
- 3:35Speaker 2: five years. Some of these people, some of these people
- 3:43Speaker 2: have had kids. They come see us one day for
- 3:47Speaker 2: they prom they come back when they graduate college, and
- 3:52Speaker 2: now they're bringing newborns in. So if you with people
- 3:55Speaker 2: that long.
- 3:56Speaker 3: They are your family.
- 3:57Speaker 2: And I just want to thank everybody turning for the
- 3:59Speaker 2: last twenty five our years. It's been an honor and
- 4:03Speaker 2: I'm grateful and thankful. And also to ESPN, it's going
- 4:08Speaker 2: to be an honor and a privilege to work for
- 4:10Speaker 2: you guys. You guys are the number one sports network
- 4:12Speaker 2: in history, and I'm excited for it. You guys got
- 4:18Speaker 2: some tremendous talents over there. I'm looking forward to co
- 4:21Speaker 2: working with those guys. But like I say, man, I
- 4:24Speaker 2: just want to say thank you to the NBA, every
- 4:27Speaker 2: coach I've had, every player I've played with, for giving
- 4:30Speaker 2: me this magnificent life that I've had. I am so
- 4:34Speaker 2: lucky and blessed. I'm lucky and blessed, and I want
- 4:38Speaker 2: to thank T and T. And even though we'll never
- 4:42Speaker 2: say T and T sports again, I want to thank
- 4:46Speaker 2: T and T for giving me a magnificent life.
- 4:50Speaker 4: All of you.
- 5:04Speaker 1: I'll try to keep this brief, take it time. Several
- 5:09Speaker 1: years ago, I wrote a book called Unscripted, and I
- 5:12Speaker 1: asked people to embrace the unscripted, not fear the unscripted.
- 5:20Speaker 1: If I had written the script, the NBA and TNT
- 5:24Speaker 1: would be together forever. It's not going to happen. But
- 5:32Speaker 1: while I was disappointed and I was sad, I was
- 5:35Speaker 1: I was not bitter. We know how business works. Gratitude
- 5:41Speaker 1: is the operative word for me. Grateful that, you know,
- 5:46Speaker 1: since nineteen eighty nine, I've been with this company. No
- 5:52Speaker 1: matter what you call the company, I'll always be Turner.
- 5:56Speaker 3: And.
- 5:58Speaker 1: I'm grateful that I've worked with you guys. I'm grateful
- 6:02Speaker 1: for all of the relationships we've built professionally and personally
- 6:07Speaker 1: through the years. You just don't realize that until you
- 6:10Speaker 1: see people here on the road and say, hey, this
- 6:13Speaker 1: is probably going to be it, and you think back
- 6:15Speaker 1: to all the good times you had. So I'm grateful
- 6:18Speaker 1: for that, and also grateful that we have members of
- 6:21Speaker 1: our crew who are going to go work at NBC
- 6:25Speaker 1: or work at Amazon, and you know how they got
- 6:28Speaker 1: those jobs because their resume says NBA on TNT. So
- 6:33Speaker 1: thank you. We have been honored to do this.
- 6:43Speaker 3: We look, we look forward.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Look the four of us, as you've already heard, the
- 6:49Speaker 1: four of us are going to be together.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Our production crew.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Is going to be together. It's going to be that
- 6:54Speaker 1: same bunch. We're still going to be shooting that show
- 6:56Speaker 1: in Atlanta. It is just going to air somewhere else.
- 6:59Speaker 1: And so the craziness that you've seen, the nonsense and
- 7:04Speaker 1: the foolishness and the top notch basketball analysis, all of
- 7:08Speaker 1: that stuff is going to be on It's going to
- 7:10Speaker 1: be on ESPN or ABC next year, not on TMT.
- 7:14Speaker 1: For that, it's, uh, We're sad, but I'm proud to say,
- 7:19Speaker 1: for the last time, thanks for watching us. It's the
- 7:23Speaker 1: NBA on TMT.
- 7:25Speaker 3: Before we go, guys, it's gonna mind job
