- 2:23- there. Welcome to the divine five one five
- 2:25- podcast.
- 2:27- Here is this week's devotional.
- 2:31- Hello, and welcome to divine five one five
- 2:34- or as I'd like to say, divine prayer.
- 2:37- I'm your host, Valerie Rocha, and I'd like
- 2:40- to welcome you to the August
- 2:44- podcast edition where we're gonna be talking about
- 2:47- the power and impact of strength through prayer
- 2:51- and community.
- 2:53- And I want to,
- 2:56- open up
- 2:59- by expressing how important it is because I
- 3:02- think a lot of times,
- 3:03- we are doing this thing called life together,
- 3:06- but
- 3:08- for whatever reason feel like we need to
- 3:10- do it by ourselves.
- 3:12- So I wanna start the first episode by
- 3:15- addressing why doing life alone leads to spiritual
- 3:17- burnout
- 3:18- and how God restores your strength
- 3:21- when you allow
- 3:23- others to carry the burden with you.
- 3:26- The scripture I'm gonna be coming from today
- 3:28- is Galatians six two and says carrying each
- 3:31- other's burdens. And in this way, you will
- 3:33- fulfill the law of Christ.
- 3:36- Now
- 3:37- have you ever noticed that we celebrate independence
- 3:40- but quietly struggle with isolation?
- 3:43- I mean, many of us carry stress we
- 3:45- never talk about.
- 3:47- And let's be honest. We convince ourselves that
- 3:49- asking for help is a sign of weakness
- 3:52- because that's what society tells us.
- 3:54- So we smile through exhaustion.
- 3:57- We push through discouragement,
- 3:59- and we keep praying alone while wondering the
- 4:02- whole time if we
- 4:04- are ever going to be noticed
- 4:07- yet still feeling spiritually depleted.
- 4:11- And what's even worse is that isolation doesn't
- 4:14- always mean being physically alone.
- 4:18- Truth be told, you can sit in a
- 4:21- room full of people and still feel like
- 4:23- no one truly knows what you're carrying
- 4:25- or even acknowledges
- 4:27- that you exist.
- 4:31- So
- 4:32- the key to remember is that one of
- 4:35- the enemy's
- 4:36- greatest
- 4:37- strategies is convincing us that our burdens are
- 4:40- ours alone to carry.
- 4:43- But
- 4:46- we know that the scripture says that he
- 4:48- is the father of lies, and there's no
- 4:50- truth in him.
- 4:53- And
- 4:54- if we look at the opposite of that,
- 4:57- we know that God said he will never
- 4:59- leave us or forsake us.
- 5:01- And since he's told us that, we can
- 5:04- also take comfort in the fact that
- 5:07- he never intended us to leave isolated lives.
- 5:12- All throughout the scripture,
- 5:14- God's people gather together to worship,
- 5:17- to encourage one another, to pray together,
- 5:20- and strengthen each other's faith
- 5:23- to get us through those difficult times.
- 5:27- Community isn't an option
- 5:30- or a
- 5:31- second thought when it comes to
- 5:34- being part of
- 5:35- this
- 5:36- kingdom
- 5:38- lifestyle or or doing,
- 5:40- the will of of the king, if you
- 5:42- will.
- 5:43- It's one of God's gifts for helping us
- 5:45- in difficult
- 5:47- seasons.
- 5:50- And here is where the power of prayer
- 5:52- comes in.
- 5:53- Prayer reminds us that God is with us,
- 5:57- not as our lord and God, although he
- 6:00- is that, but as our father.
- 6:03- And if he's our father, that means he
- 6:06- has children,
- 6:07- which means that those children
- 6:10- are siblings.
- 6:12- And the siblings make up the family unit,
- 6:15- and the family unit is what makes up
- 6:18- community.
- 6:19- And community reminds us that we're not alone.
- 6:25- So
- 6:26- remember,
- 6:27- it doesn't have to be a lot of
- 6:28- people.
- 6:31- It can just be one or two people
- 6:33- to help you carry the load.
- 6:36- And when
- 6:38- two come together,
- 6:40- guaranteed,
- 6:41- faith will always become much stronger.
- 6:46- That being said,
- 6:48- let's take
- 6:51- this burden
- 6:52- to the throne.
- 6:54- Heavenly father, forgive us for trying to carry
- 6:57- burdens. You never asked us to carry alone.
- 7:01- Help us become honest about where we need
- 7:04- your strength and the encouragement of others.
- 7:08- Teach us to receive support as freely as
- 7:10- we give it,
- 7:11- and surround us with people who will point
- 7:14- us back to you
- 7:16- and help us become the person
- 7:18- for someone else for your glory in Jesus'
- 7:22- name.
- 7:24- Now
- 7:26- we've talked about
- 7:28- how you were never created to walk through
- 7:30- life alone
- 7:31- and how God strengthens us through his presence,
- 7:34- his word, and the encouragement of his people.
- 7:38- But if today's devotional encourage you,
- 7:42- I wanna encourage you to follow the five
- 7:45- one five or divine prayer, that's what five
- 7:48- one five means,
- 7:49- podcast
- 7:50- so we can continue growing together each week.
- 7:55- Now if someone came to your mind while
- 7:57- you were listening,
- 7:59- share this episode with them because it may
- 8:01- be exactly the encouragement they need as well.
- 8:07- But if you're ready to move beyond occasional
- 8:10- inspiration
- 8:11- and develop a more consistent prayer life,
- 8:15- I want to invite you to join our
- 8:17- inner chamber community.
- 8:19- Together, we're learning to hear God's voice, grow
- 8:22- in his word, and experience the strength that
- 8:25- comes from walking closely with Christ.
- 8:29- So until next time,
- 8:31- keep meeting God at the throne.
- 8:34- Because prayer isn't simply something we do.
- 8:37- It's how we walk with God every day.
