- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey friends, this is DJ Daniel. The following episode contains
- 0:03Speaker 1: spoilers for the show obi Wan. If you would like
- 0:06Speaker 1: to avoid these spoilers, they begin five minutes and fifteen
- 0:10Speaker 1: seconds after I am done speaking. The spoiler conversation ends
- 0:13Speaker 1: at fifteen minutes when the theme song kicks. In a
- 0:16Speaker 1: special note, these timings do not include the ads placed
- 0:20Speaker 1: at the beginning of the episodes. Those are placed by region,
- 0:23Speaker 1: and therefore I do not know how long they may be.
- 0:26Speaker 1: So to keep it simple, five minutes and fifteen seconds
- 0:29Speaker 1: after I am done speaking is when the spoilers begin,
- 0:32Speaker 1: and fifteen minutes after I am done speaking is when
- 0:35Speaker 1: the theme song begins. If you want to hear the
- 0:37Speaker 1: conversation spoilers and all, sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Wait, so how do we talk about this without any spoilers?
- 0:45Speaker 3: Uh?
- 0:45Speaker 4: Okay?
- 0:46Speaker 3: So you got to be in Star Wars. That's really
- 0:49Speaker 3: exciting to obi Wan.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Okay, I got to be in an episode of obi
- 0:53Speaker 2: Wan and you.
- 0:54Speaker 4: Get to talk about let's talk about seeing your name
- 0:57Speaker 4: in the start with the Star Wars background.
- 1:00Speaker 2: It was very exciting. It was very exciting. And I'm
- 1:04Speaker 2: not in person as myself, I can say I'm a creature. Okay,
- 1:08Speaker 2: that's not really a spoiler, and we can talk about
- 1:11Speaker 2: how that was really cool because the way the creatures
- 1:13Speaker 2: designed it was a puppet with a person inside, and
- 1:17Speaker 2: then two puppeteers using it had like seventy servos in
- 1:23Speaker 2: its head, and there's two different puppeteers using like RC
- 1:27Speaker 2: remotes that are moving. All the features of the seventy
- 1:30Speaker 2: servos in its face.
- 1:32Speaker 4: Are gears that operate the puppet.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Yeah, they're like little motors, and and and this, you know,
- 1:38Speaker 2: the different the tentacles and the eyebrows, and you know,
- 1:43Speaker 2: and and then and then the way it's rigged is
- 1:46Speaker 2: that I wear this head piece I posted on in
- 1:48Speaker 2: my Instagram if you're curious what it looks like. And
- 1:50Speaker 2: when I talk, the jaw moves. And so that was
- 1:55Speaker 2: what was so cool about getting to do it. It wasn't
- 1:57Speaker 2: you know, I would have I would have flipped out
- 1:59Speaker 2: if it was just a voice over assignment. But I
- 2:01Speaker 2: got to be on set.
- 2:03Speaker 4: You're you had the character, had your mannerisms in your face.
- 2:09Speaker 4: Even though it did it looked nothing like you, you
- 2:15Speaker 4: know what I mean, but it still felt like you.
- 2:19Speaker 4: You know what I mean and that's what that's what
- 2:21Speaker 4: makes that so cool, you know, because it's like you're acting,
- 2:25Speaker 4: you're acting with somebody else's face kind of, but your
- 2:31Speaker 4: face still shines through through it, you know what I mean.
- 2:34Speaker 4: And your and because your voice is different, Like there's
- 2:36Speaker 4: so many things that were really spectacular about this for me. One,
- 2:41Speaker 4: your voice is different, but you're still telling the story
- 2:44Speaker 4: so well. You play a pro Empire character.
- 2:50Speaker 2: But that's a bit of a spoiler, isn't it, Joelle?
- 2:54Speaker 3: Not really on the line of it. You got a
- 2:57Speaker 3: lot of tweets asking how does Donald feel? People were
- 3:00Speaker 3: really worried about the friendship.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Yes, well I know I saw that on my Instagram too,
- 3:06Speaker 2: because I don't read Twitter anymore. But Donald, all our
- 3:09Speaker 2: fans because they know this is your fantasy. I saw
- 3:12Speaker 2: the funniest version of it was someone wrote, did you
- 3:15Speaker 2: and Donald accidentally mix up your whiteboards?
- 3:23Speaker 4: I hope I'm directing something real good, real soon.
- 3:26Speaker 2: I do want to say that Donald and and and
- 3:29Speaker 2: he can, he can make jokes about hating it, but
- 3:34Speaker 2: he has been and I was nervous to tell him
- 3:37Speaker 2: that I got I got the part. But of course,
- 3:40Speaker 2: but he as as every good best friend should be
- 3:44Speaker 2: was nothing ever more than holy shit, I'm so excited
- 3:48Speaker 2: for you. Oh.
- 3:49Speaker 4: I cried for like a day. Don't get it twisted,
- 3:53Speaker 4: all right, See I was wrong. I cried. I cried
- 3:57Speaker 4: for a day. But then my fucking once, my e
- 4:00Speaker 4: let it go. I was like, dude, Zach has an
- 4:02Speaker 4: opportunity to do something that's so fucking cool, and well,
- 4:06Speaker 4: thank you, and let me finish. Dude, let me finish.
- 4:09Speaker 4: And you know he's gonna freaking kill it and freak
- 4:12Speaker 4: kill it. He's gonna and you know he's gonna freaking
- 4:15Speaker 4: kill it, you know, And dude, you you were amazing. Man,
- 4:18Speaker 4: it was really it was a it was refreshing to see.
- 4:23Speaker 4: Not only for that, but you brought my kids back
- 4:25Speaker 4: to Star Wars. Also, my kids, you know, they adore
- 4:28Speaker 4: you and they love you tremendously, and uh, I shoved
- 4:32Speaker 4: Star Wars down their throats so hard that they were
- 4:35Speaker 4: turned off by it to the point where they won't
- 4:39Speaker 4: watch Marvel. If you could be in a Marvel movie next,
- 4:41Speaker 4: that would be great. First of all, because they don't
- 4:44Speaker 4: like Thank you, they don't like they don't like uh
- 4:48Speaker 4: Star Wars anymore, or they didn't like Star Wars anymore,
- 4:51Speaker 4: and they won't watch Marvel because I obsess over it
- 4:55Speaker 4: too much. Right, And so when you so Cheaper by
- 4:59Speaker 4: the doesn't came out and my kids went to the premiere,
- 5:02Speaker 4: and you are now like an a lister in our house.
- 5:06Speaker 4: You're not you know, you are like freaking to you
- 5:09Speaker 4: know how Denzel and Harrison Ford was to me. You're
- 5:12Speaker 4: that to my children right now. And so I've seen
- 5:17Speaker 4: Cheaper Biby Doesn't quite a few times, and you are
- 5:19Speaker 4: the king of sauce. I ge't you know what I mean,
- 5:22Speaker 4: I can get all of that right. And so Star
- 5:26Speaker 4: Wars comes out and I haven't told anybody about this
- 5:29Speaker 4: at all. Obi Wan comes back.
- 5:30Speaker 2: I haven't told anyone either because I'm so afraid of
- 5:33Speaker 2: you know, obviously on the podcast, these guys knew forever
- 5:36Speaker 2: and we were being a little bit cheeky about saying, oh,
- 5:40Speaker 2: obi Wan looks really good, but we would have said
- 5:42Speaker 2: that anyway because Donald and you.
- 5:43Speaker 4: Know, I'm a freak about it, and you know, Joe
- 5:45Speaker 4: Well's a freaking about it too.
- 5:47Speaker 2: And so we had to keep it under wraps because
- 5:51Speaker 2: you know, it was supposed to be a surprise, top
- 5:54Speaker 2: secret thing.
- 5:55Speaker 4: But we've known about it since before he shot it.
- 5:57Speaker 4: I was telling it.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Actually simultaneously with Cheaper by the we're gonna talk about
- 6:01Speaker 2: a little bit more in depth. So if you don't
- 6:02Speaker 2: want to know anything about Obi Wan, if you haven't
- 6:05Speaker 2: watched any of it, I guess sleep ahead.
- 6:07Speaker 4: Before you go on. Spoiler alert spoiler alert or spoiler
- 6:12Speaker 4: alert spoiler alert.
- 6:13Speaker 5: Okay, So so that's so fucking cool.
- 6:23Speaker 4: I'm sorry, dude, that's the coolest shit ever. When you're
- 6:26Speaker 4: done with this, let me finish my story too. Go ahead, Oh,
- 6:29Speaker 4: your story.
- 6:29Speaker 2: But anyway, like the Mandalorian, a lot of this stuff
- 6:33Speaker 2: is shot on that this thing called the Volume, which
- 6:35Speaker 2: is the state of the art stage where it's not
- 6:37Speaker 2: green screen, it's it's live projected, you know, four K resolution.
- 6:41Speaker 2: And so when you're in this thing called the Volume,
- 6:44Speaker 2: it's all really they're all that stuff with the in
- 6:46Speaker 2: the Fish in that wacky market where Leah escapes and
- 6:49Speaker 2: it's you know, in the in the it's sort of
- 6:51Speaker 2: futuristic marketplace where they have the chase scene in episode two,
- 6:56Speaker 2: that's like a small only a few set pieces. Everything
- 6:59Speaker 2: you're seeing is the is the Volume screen. Wow, So
- 7:03Speaker 2: it's just an insane technology.
- 7:04Speaker 4: Even her jumping across the roof and all that.
- 7:07Speaker 2: No, I'm saying, anything like they're interacting with is a
- 7:10Speaker 2: set piece, like a roof would be a set piece,
- 7:12Speaker 2: but like anything beyond it, like where a green screen
- 7:15Speaker 2: would be, is projected live. So when you're on when
- 7:18Speaker 2: you're in the volume, I've never been, but Debora said,
- 7:20Speaker 2: you've got to come check it out. It's it's the
- 7:22Speaker 2: most insane thing you've ever seen. Because what's crazy is
- 7:25Speaker 2: it's happening. It's live, like you're just standing there looking
- 7:27Speaker 2: at it, and she could be like, oh, those two
- 7:29Speaker 2: extras deep in the background, can you delete them? And
- 7:32Speaker 2: the guy at the computer's like, do do, dude, and
- 7:33Speaker 2: then they're gone, and it's like, you know, we should
- 7:35Speaker 2: probably add like a spaceship landing on that building, and
- 7:38Speaker 2: like do do doo doo. All of a sudden, there's
- 7:40Speaker 2: a spaceship landing on that building.
- 7:41Speaker 4: And you're watch you, dude, that's so cool.
- 7:44Speaker 2: So cool. And I believe Mandalorian was the first big
- 7:48Speaker 2: show to develop this, but now it's becoming a new
- 7:52Speaker 2: if you're can afford it, the new way to do
- 7:55Speaker 2: futuristic well any sort of anything with a budget, anything
- 7:59Speaker 2: with a budget that can afford it. But anyway, so
- 8:01Speaker 2: the point is that my scenes.
- 8:03Speaker 4: Though were all lighting and everything, my scenes.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Were actually shot out in the desert on this ranch
- 8:12Speaker 2: ranch desert thing about actually.
- 8:14Speaker 4: Had the most practical part in.
- 8:15Speaker 2: The right and it was so hot. I felt so
- 8:18Speaker 2: bad for the gentleman in the suit because it was
- 8:21Speaker 2: really hot, and they had like things going inside the
- 8:24Speaker 2: suit to help him be cool, like cool air being
- 8:28Speaker 2: pumped in. But but it looks so everything you're seeing
- 8:32Speaker 2: on the on on My scenes were shot on location
- 8:36Speaker 2: and and and I remember turning to Deborah and were
- 8:39Speaker 2: just that expansive, incredible view, and I go, you know,
- 8:42Speaker 2: people are gonna think this is fake, right, people are
- 8:44Speaker 2: gonna think this is the volume. She's like, I know,
- 8:46Speaker 2: we can spend all this time and money and effort
- 8:49Speaker 2: bringing this enormous crew out here, and they're gonna think
- 8:51Speaker 2: it's fake because it looked so beautiful. But it was
- 8:55Speaker 2: just so cool and I had to be so top
- 8:56Speaker 2: secret about it. But they wouldn't even let me take
- 8:59Speaker 2: my sides, Like the sides are the things I'm an
- 9:02Speaker 2: actor gets on the day. They're like a small script
- 9:04Speaker 2: of just what you're what you're saying that day, and
- 9:06Speaker 2: like it never in my life has a PA come
- 9:09Speaker 2: up to me and like, hey, we have to take
- 9:10Speaker 2: those I was like, hey, well, I was like, I
- 9:12Speaker 2: can't have these other souvenirs.
- 9:13Speaker 4: She was like, no, you know that's that's that's that's
- 9:17Speaker 4: the crazy thing. Though. When would you ever take sides
- 9:19Speaker 4: home as a sumo?
- 9:20Speaker 2: No, no, of course not.
- 9:23Speaker 4: That shit goes in the trash when you're done. Anyway,
- 9:25Speaker 4: after her days of work, yeoh man, it's really interesting. Man.
- 9:28Speaker 4: Like I was saying, my kids now are back on
- 9:32Speaker 4: Star Wars because Cheaper by the Dozen is such a
- 9:34Speaker 4: huge success in my household. All I had to say
- 9:38Speaker 4: was Uncle Zach's and Star Wars this morning.
- 9:42Speaker 2: That is a good sentence though, to say to your somebody.
- 9:44Speaker 4: Got right, and they go he is. And my son
- 9:51Speaker 4: then goes because I forced him to watch episode one
- 9:54Speaker 4: and they were like, oh god, that's your nightmare.
- 9:58Speaker 2: At least you got him on basket. At least you got.
- 10:01Speaker 4: That, no doubt. He's totally playing basketball. And so he
- 10:04Speaker 4: goes to me after he hears that, he goes, maybe
- 10:07Speaker 4: I should watch episode two first. Oh oh, good, and
- 10:10Speaker 4: I was like a word, he's yeah, And I was like,
- 10:14Speaker 4: all right, let's put on episode two. Now. I could
- 10:16Speaker 4: watch this shit all day, It's me, you know what
- 10:18Speaker 4: I mean. I could watch the Great, I could watch
- 10:21Speaker 4: the Bad, I could watch the so so it doesn't
- 10:23Speaker 4: matter to me. It's Star Wars. I'm in. Right, he
- 10:26Speaker 4: sits down and he starts watching. Now he's laughing through
- 10:30Speaker 4: the shit too, you know what I mean. So now
- 10:32Speaker 4: he's getting the jokes that, uh, I don't want to
- 10:36Speaker 4: spoil anything.
- 10:37Speaker 2: And we're still in the spoiler mode. You can talk.
- 10:39Speaker 4: Are we still in the spoiler mode?
- 10:40Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 10:40Speaker 4: Okay, cool? All right, So he's saying he's laughing at
- 10:42Speaker 4: the ship that Leah is saying. So now I'm like, wow,
- 10:45Speaker 4: this little girl's really making So now the impact after
- 10:49Speaker 4: watching it the second time that this little girl has
- 10:51Speaker 4: on my son is like, oh snap, she's she works
- 10:55Speaker 4: perfectly for this, right, you know what I mean? And
- 10:58Speaker 4: so uh and soh and so now every speech she has,
- 11:03Speaker 4: I'm listening to what she's saying instead of listening to
- 11:06Speaker 4: what you know, uh obi wan and and and what
- 11:09Speaker 4: everybody else is saying. And so that scene where he
- 11:11Speaker 4: talks about how you know, you know, you remind me
- 11:15Speaker 4: of someone. It hits home all of a sudden. Now
- 11:17Speaker 4: it's like, oh, it's gut wrenching, you know what I mean.
- 11:21Speaker 4: It's right anyway, so let me finish.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Sorry, you're still going okay, so.
- 11:25Speaker 4: Let me finish. So we get through that episode, and
- 11:30Speaker 4: we watched the next episode, uh, which has you in it,
- 11:36Speaker 4: and he's freaking over well, actually, he goes away. I
- 11:39Speaker 4: put on the next episode. I say this is the
- 11:42Speaker 4: part Uncle Zach's and he comes running in. They sit
- 11:46Speaker 4: down and watch the rest of the episode from that
- 11:47Speaker 4: moment on right cool, right? And so uh then anyway,
- 11:51Speaker 4: so this morning I'm sleeping, he comes down. He wakes
- 11:55Speaker 4: up early every morning. I walk into we call it
- 11:58Speaker 4: the cool Room. It's the room where we have the
- 12:00Speaker 4: video games, where we have the arcade. It's like the arcade, right.
- 12:04Speaker 4: It started off as the kid's room and he named
- 12:06Speaker 4: it the cool room as a kid. So I walk
- 12:08Speaker 4: into the room and he's in there watching Obi Wan
- 12:12Speaker 4: Kenobi and it's short part. He goes, this is one
- 12:15Speaker 4: of my favorite shows, dad, And I'm like.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Yes, I brought them back, Yes, I brought them back.
- 12:23Speaker 2: That's amazing. He came through. All I want now, I'm
- 12:28Speaker 2: just praying for an action figure, that's all I all
- 12:31Speaker 2: I want, or a Lego set.
- 12:33Speaker 4: Well you have, you have the opportunity to come.
- 12:35Speaker 2: I think Frek's gonna get a figure. I'm not dead,
- 12:37Speaker 2: so I mean I could come back.
- 12:39Speaker 4: And that was a freaking awesome scene too.
- 12:41Speaker 2: If you're listening to this, please write in it. Uh
- 12:46Speaker 2: you guys better bring back Frek. He was amazing. Anyway,
- 12:52Speaker 2: I gotta think Deborah Chow and Joelle is wearing a
- 12:55Speaker 2: directed by Deborah Chow t shirt, which is very cute.
- 12:58Speaker 2: It's just an incredible the amount of pressure that was
- 13:01Speaker 2: on her shoulders. She directed every single one of these episodes.
- 13:05Speaker 4: She should get a movie. Man, she should get a movie.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Oh, I'm sure she'll get.
- 13:09Speaker 4: They should do an over. I mean, I don't know
- 13:11Speaker 4: how this ends, so I don't want to, you know,
- 13:12Speaker 4: if this is it, if this is a limited series,
- 13:14Speaker 4: I don't want to. But this would be a dope movie.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Also, all I can say is, you know, most of
- 13:20Speaker 2: these shows, as you know, several directors do them, and
- 13:24Speaker 2: she did them all. And she's just the amount of
- 13:28Speaker 2: pressure on this woman's shoulders, and she was always cool
- 13:31Speaker 2: and always calm. And you know, she's just.
- 13:35Speaker 4: The number one stream show ever in Disney Plus history.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Yeah ever, Yeah, And she had all the pressure of
- 13:43Speaker 2: the fans desires and the studio's desires and Ewan's desires
- 13:48Speaker 2: and everyone all out on her shoulders and every doing
- 13:51Speaker 2: every single episode. So she's a pretty incredible person and filmmaker,
- 13:56Speaker 2: and I want to give her a shout out all right.
- 13:59Speaker 4: Before we before we in the spoiler section, there is
- 14:02Speaker 4: one thing that we have to talk about. We can't
- 14:04Speaker 4: talk about the positive without talking about the little bit
- 14:07Speaker 4: of negative. First of all, all of these people out
- 14:09Speaker 4: there that are bullying or talking shit about young Moses,
- 14:15Speaker 4: you can eat a capital d i c K for
- 14:20Speaker 4: your racist comments, dude. It's one thing to not like
- 14:24Speaker 4: a performance, but to go in on her because of
- 14:27Speaker 4: the color of her skin is some bullshit, dude. And
- 14:31Speaker 4: or whatever the fuck you identify as you can eat
- 14:36Speaker 4: and you can that's so.
- 14:39Speaker 2: That's horrible. Then this also happened to the the the
- 14:42Speaker 2: Asian woman who was the star of the horrible aspect
- 14:47Speaker 2: of the fan base that that that that of some
- 14:50Speaker 2: of the fan base obviously that that happens. It's really disheartening.
- 14:54Speaker 4: But it makes it. I mean, come on, this is
- 14:56Speaker 4: supposed to be somebody's big break, and your idea of
- 15:00Speaker 4: fandom is unnecessary and not wanted and not needed. So
- 15:05Speaker 4: please keep that to yourself if ever you feel like
- 15:11Speaker 4: the way I'm gonna express how I feel about somebody's
- 15:14Speaker 4: performances to go directly at their heart and feelings or
- 15:19Speaker 4: at their race. You are not a fan. You are
- 15:22Speaker 4: a fucking piece of ship. That's how I go.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Ahead, people like that, the good here here, here.
- 15:30Speaker 4: Wu tang forever.
- 15:31Speaker 2: I think we should. I that's the end of the
- 15:34Speaker 2: boiler section down. You'll figure out the time there, and
- 15:37Speaker 2: let's get into the show. Donald count us.
- 15:39Speaker 4: In five six seven eight, I'm not sure we made
- 15:45Speaker 4: about a bunch of story.
- 15:54Speaker 2: So yea.
- 15:57Speaker 4: Yea swept.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Well. The first thing we have to say is Judy Rays.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Judy Ray is Judy Rays in this episode.
- 16:10Speaker 4: Holy she had I.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Mean, I just think that Judy Ray is that she's
- 16:16Speaker 2: just her reel of actors should just be this scene. Yes,
- 16:22Speaker 2: she's just so talented, and I'm excited. It will have
- 16:25Speaker 2: already happened when you hear this. But we are all
- 16:28Speaker 2: going down to Austin and we're all gonna reunite, and
- 16:32Speaker 2: I'm so excited Donald to have fun with you. Bill
- 16:35Speaker 2: is coming U. Don Knight and Sarah were planning on
- 16:39Speaker 2: going down a night early just to have some some
- 16:41Speaker 2: fun together. And Bill just texted me that he's going
- 16:45Speaker 2: to join us a day early. And then the whole cast, uh,
- 16:49Speaker 2: the whole lead, all the leads except for Ken understandably,
- 16:54Speaker 2: are are going down to do this panel and we're
- 16:56Speaker 2: all gonna have dinner Saturday night together, which is I mean,
- 16:59Speaker 2: we been a dinner together probably, I mean ever exactly?
- 17:04Speaker 4: You know, well, yeah, remember after we lost.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Well we remember a few times, you know, every.
- 17:09Speaker 4: Time we lost an award show, we would go to
- 17:11Speaker 4: dinner right after we lost. I remember that was the
- 17:15Speaker 4: one thing that I was like, I appreciate Bill for
- 17:17Speaker 4: this so much. We'd lose and he'd be like, you
- 17:21Speaker 4: are ready to go.
- 17:23Speaker 2: We fel like, yeah, we're not, We're not sitting here. Well.
- 17:27Speaker 2: I couldn't help but think that Judy should have been
- 17:29Speaker 2: nominated for her performance in this episode. Absolutely, She's just
- 17:33Speaker 2: so heartbreaking at the end. And and but we'll get there.
- 17:38Speaker 2: So Laverne if you recall this is a to be
- 17:40Speaker 2: continued episode. This is what's the name of it, Joel.
- 17:43Speaker 2: This episode mine, My Long Goodbye, My Long Goodbye and
- 17:47Speaker 2: written by Dave Tennant and directed by Victor Nella Junior.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Laverne is in a coma from her car accident and
- 17:57Speaker 2: and everybody is dealing Yeah, go ahead, I'm just saying
- 18:01Speaker 2: to say. Everybody is dealing with the grief of it
- 18:04Speaker 2: in their own different way.
- 18:06Speaker 4: Right, Elliott's fucking like crazy.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Elliott just decided to fuck like crazy.
- 18:11Speaker 4: Yeah, that's her. That's her go to.
- 18:13Speaker 2: And we know that she's doing it by the number
- 18:15Speaker 2: of scratches on Keith's back.
- 18:19Speaker 4: Right, And she gets to the cross mark, she's comes five.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Yeah, you know what, when you're doing.
- 18:30Speaker 4: It's a cross mark? I thought, right, No, what do
- 18:32Speaker 4: they call that thing?
- 18:33Speaker 2: When you do one, two, three, four? And then you
- 18:34Speaker 2: put a hash to the five? Oh? Hash hash? I
- 18:41Speaker 2: keep wanting to say hash, but not hashtag.
- 18:44Speaker 4: Felix comes up in Google is accurate.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Hashtag does tally marks? Tally marks? Okay, there you go. Okay,
- 18:51Speaker 2: so she's she's had sex with them five times, so
- 18:54Speaker 2: she's put she puts the fifth tally mark on, but
- 18:56Speaker 2: then wants to go again.
- 18:58Speaker 4: Then yeah, then wants to go again.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Remember the Penis doctors, Doctor Penis, he told us that
- 19:03Speaker 2: that that's called the refractory period. How I believe how
- 19:07Speaker 2: quickly the man can go again? Keith has a very
- 19:10Speaker 2: low refractory period.
- 19:11Speaker 4: Yes, it is, it is. It is. One would say
- 19:14Speaker 4: lightning quick.
- 19:15Speaker 2: I would say it's seconds, because she says let's go again,
- 19:18Speaker 2: and Keith's ready, and he.
- 19:20Speaker 4: Yes, I do not have I do not have that.
- 19:26Speaker 4: It's quick, but it's not that quick.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Well, you're also forty eight.
- 19:30Speaker 4: When I was young, it wasn't that quick either.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Yeah, when I was When I was young, my refractory
- 19:35Speaker 2: period wasn't that quick either. I think only in the
- 19:37Speaker 2: movies and TV.
- 19:38Speaker 4: It's that quick, right, especially on this.
- 19:41Speaker 2: But I don't know. There's probably someone listening who's like, no,
- 19:44Speaker 2: my refracting period is like five seconds, man.
- 19:51Speaker 4: And that person has a lot of kids. Yeah, that
- 19:54Speaker 4: person has a lot of kids.
- 19:56Speaker 2: So JD and Turk have decided to do something they've
- 20:00Speaker 2: always want to do, which is mailbox baseball at Kelso's house.
- 20:05Speaker 4: Yes, and Kelso has reinforced his mailbox with titanium because Enid.
- 20:14Speaker 4: What did she do?
- 20:16Speaker 2: She hit it with the r V too many times,
- 20:18Speaker 2: Enid driving I don't think even though.
- 20:20Speaker 4: She had dementia, she is.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Sorry. I'm not laughing at dementia. I'm laughing at the
- 20:26Speaker 2: fact that Enid with dementia is driving the r V.
- 20:29Speaker 2: I don't think she should be.
- 20:30Speaker 4: No, I don't think that's a good idea.
- 20:33Speaker 2: But anyway, you you get kicked off. Now, your stuntman,
- 20:37Speaker 2: I went back in froze frame doesn't look anything like you.
- 20:40Speaker 4: It's too bad now.
- 20:42Speaker 2: No, of course, when you're watching something in normal speed,
- 20:45Speaker 2: you would never notice this. But I was curious enough.
- 20:48Speaker 2: But the fellow, whoever he is, I'm sorry, I don't
- 20:50Speaker 2: have your name, He did take a very nice fall
- 20:53Speaker 2: off a scooter. But but I but I saw that
- 20:57Speaker 2: it was clearly not you.
- 20:58Speaker 4: Well, you know, there's the most infama. This not the
- 21:01Speaker 4: person stunt man from Beverly Hills Cop when Eddie Murphy
- 21:05Speaker 4: throws the guy over the table. The stunt man looks
- 21:08Speaker 4: like Richard Pryor, and at least the dude had a
- 21:10Speaker 4: bald head in this one.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Any in a mustache. I don't know if it was
- 21:14Speaker 2: fake or not.
- 21:15Speaker 4: Wait in Beverly and Bellly Hills cop. No in this one,
- 21:18Speaker 4: Oh no, they really did the Beverly Hills cop maneuver.
- 21:21Speaker 2: Just put a mustache on the guy.
- 21:23Speaker 4: No, if you did, I have a must I didn't
- 21:25Speaker 4: have a mustache.
- 21:26Speaker 2: In this episode. You have a mustache?
- 21:27Speaker 4: Really, I'm not.
- 21:30Speaker 2: I only knew. I only knew because I went back
- 21:33Speaker 2: and looked at it, and I was like, the guy
- 21:34Speaker 2: looks nothing like him. But I froze frame. It is like, well,
- 21:36Speaker 2: at least they put the mustache on him.
- 21:38Speaker 4: Wow. Do you remember me rocking a mustache all the time?
- 21:43Speaker 2: I just remember that sometimes you would and sometimes you wouldn't.
- 21:46Speaker 2: And when we needed to highlight the mall, we we
- 21:49Speaker 2: would take it off.
- 21:51Speaker 4: Shake the mustache.
- 21:53Speaker 2: I thought that was Lonnie playing the guy who gets
- 21:56Speaker 2: bad news, didn't you?
- 21:58Speaker 4: I did?
- 21:58Speaker 2: But then I realized it was the Lannie look alike. Yes,
- 22:02Speaker 2: because Bill was pretty good about not repeating characters. Ever,
- 22:06Speaker 2: I think there's like a handful of examples. Maybe, but
- 22:10Speaker 2: I was like, why is Lonnie getting the bad news
- 22:12Speaker 2: from the bad news robot?
- 22:14Speaker 4: Now?
- 22:14Speaker 2: The bad news robot is pretty funny. It's made of
- 22:18Speaker 2: a garbage.
- 22:19Speaker 4: I don't know what it's made up. But that's a
- 22:21Speaker 4: freaking very funny soap opera fantasy of that with the robot.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Yeah the kid wait, wait, don't get it not No.
- 22:32Speaker 2: First that starts with the guard for the first of all,
- 22:34Speaker 2: it's the bad news robot. It comes in and it's
- 22:36Speaker 2: a garbage can with like a scooter handabar. Johnny almost
- 22:41Speaker 2: have made this thing.
- 22:42Speaker 4: It's well okay, right, and it comes in to get
- 22:46Speaker 4: bad news, to give bad news, and it gives the
- 22:49Speaker 4: kid the news that he has cancer, and then it dies.
- 22:52Speaker 3: No.
- 22:52Speaker 4: Wait, and then it says, press the button for a
- 22:57Speaker 4: pep talk, or press the button if you give up. Yeah,
- 23:00Speaker 4: And the kid presses the button for the pep talk,
- 23:02Speaker 4: and the robot goes, you have pressed the button for
- 23:06Speaker 4: a pep talk. You are going. You are strong, you.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Are and then he starts smoking because because it breaks him.
- 23:15Speaker 2: And then the robot dies, and then we cut to.
- 23:18Speaker 4: The robots now in the bed.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Right, and I have to give his robot kids two
- 23:25Speaker 2: little smaller robots bad news. And then one takes out
- 23:30Speaker 2: a laser.
- 23:31Speaker 4: And blasts you and shoots me. You disintegrate, yeah, And
- 23:35Speaker 4: then the other on the other one comes through in.
- 23:43Speaker 2: That was very funny. That was yeah, that was very
- 23:46Speaker 2: very stonor very stony, hilarious.
- 23:50Speaker 4: Jordan and Cox are having the baby. They don't want
- 23:53Speaker 4: anyone to know about it.
- 23:54Speaker 2: She didn't even tell him, right. I like that he
- 23:57Speaker 2: puts on a Rutgers T shirt represent Jersey. Johnny has
- 24:02Speaker 2: a connection to Rutgers.
- 24:03Speaker 4: But I did. I got my Rutgers. I don't know.
- 24:06Speaker 4: I know he went to n y U. I think
- 24:08Speaker 4: he went to Syracuse too, I'm not sure.
- 24:09Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 24:10Speaker 4: But I got in a Rutger I remember, dude. I
- 24:12Speaker 4: remember getting into Rutgers and just the only college that
- 24:15Speaker 4: I got into. And I only got in because my
- 24:17Speaker 4: mom went to Rutgers. This is such a bad story,
- 24:19Speaker 4: but my mom went to Rutgers and her college professor,
- 24:23Speaker 4: her drama professor, was Avery Brooks, right, And so anyway,
- 24:27Speaker 4: I go out for Rutgers. My grades in the high
- 24:30Speaker 4: school are shit. I didn't go to high school. I
- 24:33Speaker 4: was a horrible I.
- 24:34Speaker 2: Mean, you're in fame, you were in the fame high school.
- 24:37Speaker 4: I cut a lot and I have a lot of
- 24:39Speaker 4: teachers there that helped push me through, and I appreciate
- 24:43Speaker 4: you all. But in all honesty, I was a good student,
- 24:47Speaker 4: and so my mom's dream was for me to go
- 24:49Speaker 4: to Rutgers. I went and I did the audition and
- 24:52Speaker 4: I got in, and I remember my guidance counselor's face,
- 24:56Speaker 4: mister Nap, when I told him, Oh, I'm not going
- 24:58Speaker 4: to go to college. M was to go to LA
- 25:01Speaker 4: and make it as an actor. And I remember his
- 25:03Speaker 4: face when I said that. Shit. He was like, oh, Donald,
- 25:06Speaker 4: don't you oh ment like and I was like no,
- 25:08Speaker 4: he was like, I my guidance counselor, who was also
- 25:12Speaker 4: my history teacher, couldn't believe that I got into college. Also,
- 25:16Speaker 4: so when I saw Johnny C with that Rutgers shirt hunt,
- 25:19Speaker 4: I was like, holy shit, this is full circle. Man.
- 25:22Speaker 4: I remember this moment. I remember the moment when I
- 25:25Speaker 4: told him and my mom that not I actually ain't happening.
- 25:27Speaker 2: We got to ask Johnny when we see him, why
- 25:29Speaker 2: why he decided to give Rutgers a shout out. He
- 25:32Speaker 2: must have some connection to it. There has to be
- 25:34Speaker 2: a Jersey Pride, Jersey Pride Rutgers represent. My dad taught
- 25:39Speaker 2: law at Rutgers and he was very loyal, very loyal
- 25:42Speaker 2: to their football team. He would actually go to the games,
- 25:45Speaker 2: even though I don't even know if Rutgers was any
- 25:47Speaker 2: good ever.
- 25:48Speaker 4: Oh gosh, yeah, they were absolutely At one point they
- 25:51Speaker 4: won an into or were in the NCAA game.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Okay, here's me championship. That shows you how to line.
- 25:57Speaker 4: Though, right. I think they played for I think they
- 25:59Speaker 4: played for My.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Stepfather was a professor there too.
- 26:03Speaker 4: Yeah, let's take a break.
- 26:05Speaker 2: We'll be right back after these fine words. By the way,
- 26:13Speaker 2: did you notice that it's a small little easter egg?
- 26:16Speaker 2: But when Kelsel comes out of his house after you
- 26:18Speaker 2: on the ground, he's he's holding a plow Ox mug,
- 26:21Speaker 2: which is.
- 26:21Speaker 4: The from the lock.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I like the little easter egg that he's still
- 26:27Speaker 2: rocking the plow Max mug. So Carr, Cox and Jordan
- 26:33Speaker 2: don't want anyone to know about there that they're having
- 26:36Speaker 2: the C section, and they've asked JD for a favor,
- 26:40Speaker 2: but he's so worked up in his head about trying
- 26:44Speaker 2: to be the godfather and and the fact that he's
- 26:47Speaker 2: going to be the only one who knows the secret
- 26:49Speaker 2: that he doesn't hear what Cox is one request is
- 26:54Speaker 2: and and so he misses it. But he's like, don't
- 26:57Speaker 2: but he's like should I ask again? No, no, no, and
- 26:59Speaker 2: then he'll think he can't trust you. So he has
- 27:02Speaker 2: a plan too, well.
- 27:05Speaker 4: He was, he remembers he was still looking at Cox
- 27:09Speaker 4: while he's daydreaming. He just wasn't listening. So he goes
- 27:13Speaker 4: he has a plan to go to some doctor, an
- 27:16Speaker 4: audiologist I guess right, who can read the lips he creates.
- 27:23Speaker 4: He tries to recreate remember doing.
- 27:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I do a Cox impression, and then I try
- 27:31Speaker 2: and recreate which is which is bizarre that JD has
- 27:35Speaker 2: such a memory that he can remember Cox is what
- 27:38Speaker 2: Cox's lips were doing. And then the audiologist says, yes,
- 27:42Speaker 2: he wants you to go buy some more film for
- 27:45Speaker 2: his camera.
- 27:46Speaker 4: And that makes perfect sense because there's a baby on
- 27:49Speaker 4: the way right.
- 27:50Speaker 2: So JD believes that and goes to get And so
- 27:52Speaker 2: you kids out there, you used to put film in
- 27:56Speaker 2: a camera. Now a camera used to be separate from
- 27:59Speaker 2: your iPhone.
- 28:01Speaker 4: It used to be a whole nother apparatus actually. Uh
- 28:05Speaker 4: So Elliot's the first person to go say goodbye to Laverne.
- 28:08Speaker 4: Uh she just in case, uh something bad happens before
- 28:14Speaker 4: the the cat scan comes back. Elliot's the first person
- 28:18Speaker 4: to go in and she you know, it's a wonderful job.
- 28:22Speaker 4: Everybody who went into the room to say goodbye to
- 28:26Speaker 4: Nurse Roberts, that's such a wonderful.
- 28:29Speaker 2: Job, including you. You were you were, you were very
- 28:31Speaker 2: good in your scene.
- 28:32Speaker 4: Thank you very much.
- 28:33Speaker 2: But when Ellen goes, this is what Laverne daught her.
- 28:39Speaker 4: Yeah, this is Laverne. I want to thank you for
- 28:43Speaker 4: all the things that you told me, like when why
- 28:46Speaker 4: did people come out of the rain? They smell like
- 28:49Speaker 4: wet dog? And then Elliott gets caught up in that.
- 28:58Speaker 2: Elliott's moved by that, and she.
- 29:01Speaker 4: Goes, they do they do we do?
- 29:05Speaker 2: Or did we do?
- 29:08Speaker 4: And then there's another moment and she goes, we really do?
- 29:15Speaker 4: It was great. It was a very funny moment, very hard.
- 29:18Speaker 4: But also we learned that when uh, we learned that
- 29:22Speaker 4: when uh, when Carl is being followed around by this ghost,
- 29:27Speaker 4: that also Cox is followed around by a ghost as well.
- 29:32Speaker 4: He's followed around by the ghost of Nicole Sullivan's character.
- 29:35Speaker 2: Yes, and I read on scrubs Wiki that it was
- 29:37Speaker 2: originally supposed to be bred in Frasier, but he was unavailable,
- 29:40Speaker 2: and so they asked Nicole Sullivan. Oh wow, Well, scrubs
- 29:45Speaker 2: Wiki trivia there for you.
- 29:47Speaker 4: I think this rumor. They don't know how did they know?
- 29:51Speaker 2: It may have been something sometimes scrubs Wiki I think
- 29:53Speaker 2: gets stuff off the DVD commentaries We did uh so
- 29:59Speaker 2: that might have been something Bill said, and he commentaries me.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Todd says, if doing you right now.
- 30:06Speaker 4: Oh gosh, that's the best one. When the trio is
- 30:09Speaker 4: in there, When that trio is in there, that is
- 30:13Speaker 4: the best one.
- 30:14Speaker 2: Todd's Todd's sweet words of of.
- 30:16Speaker 4: Of do you want to know what he says of
- 30:18Speaker 4: pep talk is if he goes, you know, he goes,
- 30:21Speaker 4: you were the woman I'd never do because you're a
- 30:24Speaker 4: big girl. But if doing you right now would save
- 30:29Speaker 4: your life? Is that what he said? I would doing it.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Right now could help?
- 30:36Speaker 4: Right?
- 30:36Speaker 2: I would like like so sincere I would. So. We
- 30:46Speaker 2: also learned the janitor was the lifeguard at LaVerne's pool party,
- 30:52Speaker 2: even though he's not a strong swimmer, and she.
- 30:54Speaker 4: Made a buddet but he somehow made abundantly clear yes.
- 30:58Speaker 2: And then he then he says something that that really
- 31:02Speaker 2: is twisted. If you see your dog up there, please
- 31:05Speaker 2: tell him I'm sorry sorry, which means that LaVerne's dog
- 31:09Speaker 2: was killed at her at one of her pool in the.
- 31:15Speaker 4: No in the pool when the janitor was supposed to
- 31:18Speaker 4: be a lifeguard.
- 31:19Speaker 2: Yes, but he couldn't do the dog.
- 31:20Speaker 4: But he couldn't say the dog because he couldn't swim.
- 31:23Speaker 4: I'm sorry, oh man, okay, morbid?
- 31:29Speaker 2: So then he then the janet reveals that he converged
- 31:32Speaker 2: the Norse religion.
- 31:34Speaker 4: Right because he thinks that LaVerne's going to Valhalla. Yes, okay,
- 31:41Speaker 4: we've got to go back. Also what Carla? Also, Carla
- 31:46Speaker 4: is in such denial, but she also reveals that there
- 31:49Speaker 4: was a mister Wang in the hospital. We went into
- 31:54Speaker 4: Acoma in nineteen eighty four and just woke up. Yeah,
- 31:58Speaker 4: but when he woke up, he moon walking into Michael
- 32:01Speaker 4: Jackson outfit and says, where's the beef?
- 32:09Speaker 2: I love that he had all that in his room
- 32:11Speaker 2: for for for several years. He's moon walking in in
- 32:16Speaker 2: was it the Michael Jackson He's moved in the red
- 32:19Speaker 2: Michael Jackson outfit? Thriller from thriller from thriller? Is he
- 32:23Speaker 2: the thriller or or thriller thriller.
- 32:26Speaker 4: Because Billy Gene is black?
- 32:29Speaker 2: And then and then he and then he got the
- 32:31Speaker 2: rub and then he says, where's the beef? For those
- 32:33Speaker 2: of you who are too young, that was a famous
- 32:36Speaker 2: Wendy where this old woman would would open up her burger.
- 32:41Speaker 4: But from different from various burger uh fast food places, and.
- 32:47Speaker 2: She became famous all around. Was like a very very famous,
- 32:50Speaker 2: very famous campaign. And she the burger meat was too small,
- 32:53Speaker 2: and she'd.
- 32:54Speaker 4: Go, where's the beef, Where's the beef?
- 33:00Speaker 2: The woman was like nine hundred years old.
- 33:02Speaker 4: I had a tea. I had that. I had one
- 33:03Speaker 4: of those T shirts. You didn't have it, Wear's the
- 33:05Speaker 4: Beef T shirt? When you were young?
- 33:07Speaker 2: You had a Were's the beef T shirt?
- 33:08Speaker 4: Absolutely? I had Simpson, I dude, I had a collection
- 33:11Speaker 4: of Simpson's T shirts. And I had never watched the Simpsons,
- 33:14Speaker 4: but Bart Simpson was so popular that fucking I had
- 33:18Speaker 4: his face plays. You were a poser, dude, I said
- 33:21Speaker 4: this many a times in high school. Dude, I walked
- 33:23Speaker 4: around dressed as Bell Biv Devou. I had hammer pants on.
- 33:27Speaker 4: I was that kid.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Nice don't know, but you at least loved those things.
- 33:29Speaker 2: You're saying. You were a Bart Simpson T shirt and
- 33:31Speaker 2: didn't watch the Simpsons.
- 33:32Speaker 4: Oh no, I love Bart Simpson. But I didn't watch
- 33:35Speaker 4: the Simpsons because I didn't watch the I love Bart
- 33:37Speaker 4: Simpson because when you would go to the movies and
- 33:39Speaker 4: they would have those little shorts before the movies and
- 33:42Speaker 4: it would be the Simpson cartoon and that's how I
- 33:45Speaker 4: knew who they were.
- 33:47Speaker 2: But I remember it's starting on the Tracy.
- 33:50Speaker 4: Tracyman Show as well. Yeah, but if you went to
- 33:52Speaker 4: the movies, like a couple of movies I went to,
- 33:55Speaker 4: there was like one where the Simpsons go to a
- 33:58Speaker 4: therapist and they're all sitting on the therapist's chair and
- 34:01Speaker 4: by the end of it, Homer's choking the ship out
- 34:04Speaker 4: of Bart. But anyway, I had My favorite shirt was
- 34:08Speaker 4: one where Bart's a rosta man and he's holding a blunt.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Oh, I see, that would make you look cool with
- 34:15Speaker 2: your friends.
- 34:15Speaker 4: This is right. This is in high school too, so
- 34:17Speaker 4: I got a lot of like yearbook pictures with me
- 34:20Speaker 4: wearing that shirt.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Really only in a Manhattan school, could you take your
- 34:24Speaker 2: yearbook picture.
- 34:25Speaker 4: Only at the professional Children's school? Was that?
- 34:27Speaker 2: Probably only at the professional Children' School Manhattan? Can you
- 34:31Speaker 2: take your class picture with Bart as a rosta man
- 34:33Speaker 2: with a joint.
- 34:34Speaker 4: Well, it wasn't a class pictures like me on a
- 34:36Speaker 4: freaking it was like a field day and where the
- 34:39Speaker 4: whole school was on a field. You know, it was
- 34:41Speaker 4: like in Central Park.
- 34:43Speaker 2: We let's digress from how did you feel about the
- 34:45Speaker 2: Miami Heat Celtics game?
- 34:47Speaker 4: I know how you felt. You felt it was over
- 34:49Speaker 4: after the first five minutes.
- 34:51Speaker 2: I was tiring to convince Donald I was watching. So
- 34:55Speaker 2: I watched the first five minutes when where they were
- 34:57Speaker 2: up by like ten, and I go, it's over. I
- 35:02Speaker 2: I can't watch it anymore. It's over. It's over. That
- 35:05Speaker 2: leads too big, There's not enough, there's no it was.
- 35:10Speaker 2: It was l It was there like first two minutes
- 35:12Speaker 2: of the game.
- 35:13Speaker 4: Dude, that game was. It's such a good game until
- 35:16Speaker 4: the last Listen, I'm gonna say one thing and I'll
- 35:21Speaker 4: probably get heat for it, no pun intended, right, But
- 35:26Speaker 4: he my dude, but he is my favorite player in
- 35:29Speaker 4: the NBA. But the decision he made at the end
- 35:33Speaker 4: of the game to pull that three, I'm sure he's tired,
- 35:38Speaker 4: and I know Al Horford is a beast of a defender,
- 35:41Speaker 4: but he had Al Horford backing up on his heels
- 35:46Speaker 4: and Jimmy Butler decided to pull almost from the logo
- 35:52Speaker 4: A three.
- 35:53Speaker 2: And you disagree with the decision.
- 35:56Speaker 4: I don't think that was the right decision. I think
- 35:57Speaker 4: he should have put it in al Horford and tried
- 36:00Speaker 4: to get the AM one at least.
- 36:02Speaker 2: Daniel, do you did you watch the game? Do you
- 36:04Speaker 2: agree with Donald's assessment?
- 36:06Speaker 7: I mean, I definitely agree with Donald's assessment. I did
- 36:10Speaker 7: not watch the game. I watched the highlights. I'm a
- 36:12Speaker 7: big Jimmy Butts fan. I love Jimmy Buckets, but it's
- 36:16Speaker 7: like the Michael Jordan quote, you're past the ball to
- 36:19Speaker 7: make that shot like forty times. You'll miss it thirty times,
- 36:22Speaker 7: but it's not going to stop you from trying.
- 36:24Speaker 4: Right. He missed it on the biggest stage to go
- 36:26Speaker 4: to the finals, though they would have, Yeah, they would have.
- 36:30Speaker 4: If he made it, they go to the finals. Yeah,
- 36:31Speaker 4: and it's a rap and he's freaking ten for the year,
- 36:36Speaker 4: for the year. It's freaking Kawhi Leonard when he did
- 36:39Speaker 4: it to Joe Ellen, beating Jimmy Bucket with the bounce,
- 36:42Speaker 4: with the bounce, you know what I mean?
- 36:44Speaker 2: Yeah, totally, I'm gonna post back. This went beyond anyway.
- 36:48Speaker 4: You asked, you asked, No, I asked.
- 36:50Speaker 2: I wanted for those sports lovers out there who listen,
- 36:53Speaker 2: I wanted to give you your your your little little
- 36:55Speaker 2: moment to talk about it. I I tried. I want
- 36:59Speaker 2: you to know I tried. I gave it a solid.
- 37:05Speaker 4: O Internet. I'm happy for the Celtics.
- 37:06Speaker 2: When the Celtics were had seventeen points and I don't
- 37:10Speaker 2: think it ever got that big. We're ten points off whatever,
- 37:14Speaker 2: I was like, it's over, Donald, But I was having
- 37:16Speaker 2: fun with all my friends being like this is I
- 37:18Speaker 2: need this, this is a big one, so stupid. All
- 37:24Speaker 2: right back, let's take a break. We're gonna say a
- 37:26Speaker 2: quick break and we'll be right back with some more
- 37:28Speaker 2: talk about the TV show Scrubs.
- 37:35Speaker 4: And we're bad. Yeah, Wu tang forever, Wu tang forever.
- 37:49Speaker 2: What you're trying to get into one day, or shown
- 37:53Speaker 2: what you're trying to do. Hey, speaking of what you're
- 37:55Speaker 2: trying to get into, make sure you pace tomorrow because
- 37:58Speaker 2: I don't want you woozy picture you're getting on the plane.
- 38:01Speaker 4: Oh you don't know, bro r, you don't know. You
- 38:05Speaker 4: ain't heard what I'm using this trip to get off
- 38:10Speaker 4: the marijuana.
- 38:13Speaker 2: Okay, good, but you're still I imagine, gonna have a
- 38:15Speaker 2: mimosa or something on the plane.
- 38:17Speaker 4: Yeah, but I can't drink like I used to be
- 38:19Speaker 4: able to drink like that. I know.
- 38:20Speaker 2: That's why I'm telling you the pace, because you.
- 38:22Speaker 4: Don't need to tell me the pace. I've already. I'm
- 38:24Speaker 4: a grown ass man.
- 38:25Speaker 2: I know you s don't want to musy.
- 38:27Speaker 4: You're gonna get woozy. That's not fun for me, is
- 38:30Speaker 4: my point. I don't like the feeling of the room spinning.
- 38:34Speaker 4: I don't like the feeling of I'm about to throw up.
- 38:37Speaker 4: So I'll have a drink and if that shit's too sweet,
- 38:39Speaker 4: I'm not gonna finish it.
- 38:41Speaker 2: You honor me, listen. I want to make sure that
- 38:45Speaker 2: you don't mimosa out too much on the plane. Yeah.
- 38:49Speaker 4: How they die and I hope they burning? Hell?
- 38:52Speaker 2: What's that airplane?
- 38:56Speaker 3: No?
- 38:56Speaker 4: Sam Jackson?
- 38:57Speaker 2: Oh oh the snakes?
- 38:59Speaker 4: No?
- 39:00Speaker 2: Do you remember an airplane? When they when they when
- 39:01Speaker 2: they cut to the counterpoint segment, and the guys like
- 39:04Speaker 2: they bought their tickets, they knew what they were getting into.
- 39:09Speaker 2: I say, let him crash, all right, as long as
- 39:18Speaker 2: you promise not to get woozy because I got a
- 39:20Speaker 2: nice dinner reservation for us.
- 39:22Speaker 4: Where are we eating? Is it me you, Sarah and Bill?
- 39:26Speaker 2: It's me you, Sarah and Bill and Ryan our friend
- 39:29Speaker 2: Ryan and right, Okay, we're gonna have fun. Just don't
- 39:33Speaker 2: get too woozy. I can't believe Sarah's coming. She never
- 39:37Speaker 2: does anything spontaneous. No disrespect to Sarah, but.
- 39:42Speaker 4: I'm sure she's sick of being in Canada.
- 39:45Speaker 2: Well, all I'm gonna tell is I guarantee you. We've
- 39:48Speaker 2: told you on the podcast that there's always a story
- 39:52Speaker 2: with Sarah, and I know that she's going to show
- 39:54Speaker 2: up and be like, you guys are not going to
- 39:56Speaker 2: believe what happened.
- 39:58Speaker 4: Citizenship is no longer. Yeah, I.
- 40:02Speaker 2: Guess the airport they had revoked my Canadians citizenship. My
- 40:05Speaker 2: passport I didn't know. Is it's tired. There's gonna be
- 40:07Speaker 2: some you never you will never not see Sarah would like,
- 40:10Speaker 2: you're not gonna believe what happened today. It won't even
- 40:15Speaker 2: be yesterday, It'll be like today. I'm about then they're
- 40:19Speaker 2: about to get my passport and it falls through a
- 40:22Speaker 2: grate in the floor.
- 40:28Speaker 4: It's all. Sometimes it gets really action of the adventury
- 40:31Speaker 4: too man like one time the car on time, Yeah,
- 40:34Speaker 4: one time it was a car was barreling down a
- 40:39Speaker 4: hill towards a picnic where Sarah and the kids were eating.
- 40:46Speaker 2: It was her car. She didn't put the brake on.
- 40:48Speaker 4: Right, she didn't put the brake on, and so is
- 40:51Speaker 4: it was it her sister's husband or was it I
- 40:55Speaker 4: don't know, but anyway, somebody jumps in the car and
- 41:00Speaker 4: you know, the cars parked, so the wheel it is
- 41:03Speaker 4: hard to turn now and rips the wheel and the
- 41:07Speaker 4: car spins out and barely misses them. Yeah, this is
- 41:11Speaker 4: a this.
- 41:12Speaker 2: Is a there's never there was this never till moment.
- 41:15Speaker 2: The story at lunch on our next segment, on our
- 41:17Speaker 2: next episode, we'll tell you what what Sarah's assuming we're
- 41:21Speaker 2: allowed to, We'll tell you what Sarah's drama for the
- 41:24Speaker 2: day was. When we see her and she's always had
- 41:27Speaker 2: a breath for some reason when she told her and
- 41:30Speaker 2: then listen, I'm so excited.
- 41:35Speaker 4: To see her. I can't wait. I can't wait.
- 41:38Speaker 2: All right, back to the show, So we learned that
- 41:42Speaker 2: Kelso and Laverne had sex a bit.
- 41:46Speaker 4: For a bit.
- 41:47Speaker 2: He goes to kiss her, which feels inappropriate, But then
- 41:53Speaker 2: LaVerne's ghost tells Carlo, like, I don't mind. We once
- 41:56Speaker 2: did it before.
- 41:57Speaker 4: I was right before I was with miss Roberts. Roberts,
- 42:02Speaker 4: let me tell you something that man loves him some
- 42:04Speaker 4: brown sugar.
- 42:06Speaker 2: Yeah, but Laverna men remembered it fondly. It seemed like,
- 42:10Speaker 2: you know, the audience is a little bit like creeped
- 42:12Speaker 2: out at first, like mine is Kelso kissing her. And
- 42:14Speaker 2: then you cut to LaVerne's ghost revealing like it wasn't,
- 42:17Speaker 2: as if to imply like it was.
- 42:19Speaker 4: It was. No, we had a good Yeah, we had
- 42:22Speaker 4: a good couple of we had a good run.
- 42:23Speaker 2: Yeah, we had a good bad We had some good sessions.
- 42:27Speaker 4: Unfortunately I couldn't get past the racism and the misogyny.
- 42:35Speaker 2: So then JD frantically realizes that when Cox says did
- 42:39Speaker 2: you go did you do what I said? That the
- 42:41Speaker 2: lip reading was very off and it was will you
- 42:43Speaker 2: go pick up my son? Yes, So he frantically texts Lloyd, Wow.
- 42:48Speaker 4: The fact that Lloyd's.
- 42:49Speaker 2: Why did he choose Lloyd of all people?
- 42:51Speaker 4: The fact that Lloyd's his go to? I mean, I
- 42:54Speaker 4: you know, ever since Lloyd's reliable. Well, he's reliable on
- 42:59Speaker 4: his with the job, and he's reliable with the kid,
- 43:03Speaker 4: it turns out to.
- 43:04Speaker 2: I know, but he he well, he comes through and
- 43:08Speaker 2: we cut to Lloyd cranking speed metal. Is that what
- 43:12Speaker 2: it's called, Daniel speed metal?
- 43:14Speaker 1: That is a form of metal? Yeah, I think I
- 43:16Speaker 1: think that's what it was.
- 43:26Speaker 2: I can't think of a kind of music I like
- 43:29Speaker 2: less of what the I can't think of No disrespect
- 43:33Speaker 2: to all the wonderful artists who create it. It's just,
- 43:35Speaker 2: you know, it's each their own. I'm sure you don't
- 43:37Speaker 2: like slow, sad, singer songwriter music, but I just don't understand, no.
- 43:42Speaker 8: No, no, do you send any of that?
- 44:00Speaker 4: At one point, at one point, at one point, there's
- 44:03Speaker 4: somebody that always does this in that song.
- 44:08Speaker 1: Get a good pig squeal going what the called?
- 44:11Speaker 2: What's that kind of music called? I mean, it's it's metal.
- 44:13Speaker 1: There's there's there's.
- 44:14Speaker 2: Also no, that's not metal, it's it's some type of metal.
- 44:18Speaker 2: There's like gar Is it just gar? Is that guar?
- 44:21Speaker 7: I'm trying to skip to the point in the episode
- 44:23Speaker 7: so I could hear it again because I'm having trouble
- 44:24Speaker 7: to remember exactly what the actual music part sounded like,
- 44:27Speaker 7: but we'll.
- 44:28Speaker 2: Just cut to Lloyd. The kid loves it. The kid
- 44:30Speaker 2: is jamming out.
- 44:31Speaker 4: The kid would not love that.
- 44:33Speaker 2: No, but really, I think some kids anyway, what's cute
- 44:35Speaker 2: in the in the episode is that Cox's kid is
- 44:39Speaker 2: jamming out to it. He loves it.
- 44:41Speaker 4: You're your kids love noise because they make so much
- 44:46Speaker 4: of it. So I'm kidd like, look, I love this song.
- 44:51Speaker 4: My kids love this song even more than I do now.
- 44:55Speaker 4: And we don't play the we don't play the dirty version,
- 44:58Speaker 4: but uh Lamar's be humble, great song. They want that
- 45:04Speaker 4: song so loud because that bass kick in that ship
- 45:07Speaker 4: is so hard that I'm telling you, kids love that
- 45:13Speaker 4: that whatever that is, they love that. And speed metal
- 45:17Speaker 4: has that hardcore.
- 45:22Speaker 2: I just don't know, and I'm sure our listeners are.
- 45:24Speaker 2: Some of our listeners know. I feel like there's probably
- 45:26Speaker 2: a more specific term than speed metal for.
- 45:35Speaker 4: With the drum behind it.
- 45:39Speaker 2: Can you imagine? Can you imagine coming home from work?
- 45:42Speaker 2: Can you manage coming home from working? Like honey, put
- 45:44Speaker 2: on that speed metal track? I love?
- 45:52Speaker 4: What is it? Dan?
- 45:53Speaker 2: Did you hear it? I think it's speed metal? Good call?
- 45:58Speaker 2: All right? Well, I didn't. Then we referenced it in
- 46:00Speaker 2: the show, so we can't take credit for that. Then
- 46:03Speaker 2: we learned Laverne from the chart and the CT scan
- 46:06Speaker 2: is officially brain dead. And and when Cox says by Laverne,
- 46:11Speaker 2: I'm getting goosebumps on my thighs as I as I
- 46:14Speaker 2: say it, because it was a very powerful moment. And
- 46:16Speaker 2: then I have the flashback to the pilot when which
- 46:20Speaker 2: was which was a really beautiful thing that Bill did,
- 46:25Speaker 2: cutting to the very first episode when she's like, will
- 46:28Speaker 2: you just pronounce them so I can go home?
- 46:30Speaker 9: And then I say, she hasn't a pilot too, isn't
- 46:32Speaker 9: it is that?
- 46:34Speaker 2: No, I think she's got another one. Okay maybe, but
- 46:39Speaker 2: you remember when we had a Loma on she said
- 46:41Speaker 2: she just thought she she didn't know she was going
- 46:42Speaker 2: to come back. Yeah, oh wait, no, no, I know
- 46:46Speaker 2: you're right, you know what, because didn the Loma say
- 46:48Speaker 2: she had two lines? And then when the episode airs
- 46:50Speaker 2: she had one or something.
- 46:53Speaker 4: You just pronounced him.
- 46:56Speaker 2: You just pronounced them so I can go home. And
- 46:57Speaker 2: then and then JD. So Cheesley goes, you can finally go.
- 47:00Speaker 4: Home, and she said, and she says.
- 47:03Speaker 2: That yeah, and she says that's so cheesy.
- 47:07Speaker 4: Do you okay, if you had to choose out of
- 47:09Speaker 4: the whole show what your favorite joke was in the show,
- 47:14Speaker 4: what would it be?
- 47:14Speaker 2: I have too, Well, my mom had a uterus, I
- 47:17Speaker 2: lived in it. I think I improved that, and I
- 47:20Speaker 2: thought that was pretty funny. That was It's very jd
- 47:23Speaker 2: and very random.
- 47:25Speaker 4: I take it back. I have three jokes that I
- 47:27Speaker 4: thought it was funny. I thought because of my geeked them.
- 47:30Speaker 4: Are you on call tonight? Or are you going to
- 47:31Speaker 4: fight Superman because you look like Lex Luthor was one
- 47:35Speaker 4: of the funniest jokes. And it's so fast and nobody
- 47:38Speaker 4: picks up on it, right.
- 47:40Speaker 2: Yeah. And by the way, just I read on Scrubs
- 47:42Speaker 2: Wiki that if you recalled Johnny C was bald headed
- 47:47Speaker 2: in the previous episode or or was it the last
- 47:50Speaker 2: one or one before? It was just random? Yeah, yeah,
- 47:53Speaker 2: because and it was never explained because they changed the order.
- 47:55Speaker 2: So this was the episode where he shaved his head.
- 47:59Speaker 4: Well, this was thatpisode where Johnny showed up with the
- 48:01Speaker 4: shaved head.
- 48:02Speaker 2: No, in the very top of this episode he shaves
- 48:05Speaker 2: his head. He goes, he goes, yeah, there must have
- 48:07Speaker 2: been a reason behind it. I feel like, why, why
- 48:10Speaker 2: did I wonder why? I don't think Bill would have
- 48:12Speaker 2: written that in Johnny see me.
- 48:13Speaker 4: That's what I'm trying to say. Johnny came in with
- 48:15Speaker 4: a shaved head. Oh, and that's how that happened. That's
- 48:19Speaker 4: where the saw comes from.
- 48:20Speaker 2: Oh was it from a roll or did he just
- 48:22Speaker 2: decided to shave your head?
- 48:23Speaker 4: No, I don't know. That's a Johnny question.
- 48:26Speaker 2: But yeah, I remember they had to they had to
- 48:28Speaker 2: figure out a way to write it in. But anyway,
- 48:30Speaker 2: it's it's it's it's explained in this episode.
- 48:34Speaker 4: So that was one of my favorite. Sorry, yes, the
- 48:37Speaker 4: other favorite, well, the favorite one is when all you
- 48:39Speaker 4: guys are in the room and you're doing the Shadow
- 48:42Speaker 4: Public fun Hotly Ship.
- 48:48Speaker 2: We recreate Pearl Harbor. You recreate pretty impressively.
- 48:52Speaker 4: Very impressively, with planes crashing and fucking ted. U can't
- 49:00Speaker 4: help it.
- 49:01Speaker 2: It brings in the alligator.
- 49:02Speaker 4: It has to bring in the alligator.
- 49:04Speaker 2: Yeah, and I go, Ted, there were no alligators in
- 49:06Speaker 2: Pearl Harbor. Oh, and then I go, we can also
- 49:10Speaker 2: do the get We can do the Gettysburg and the
- 49:13Speaker 2: first act of Miss Saigon. I would have loved to
- 49:17Speaker 2: see them do the first act of Miss Saigon, or
- 49:18Speaker 2: at least a number that.
- 49:20Speaker 4: Would have been amazing. And then finally my last one
- 49:24Speaker 4: was the one you said. But it's when Elliot's uterus
- 49:27Speaker 4: starts glowing like ET made me laugh. So yeah, it
- 49:33Speaker 4: was like phoning home. It was like it was like
- 49:35Speaker 4: the uterus phone home. Did somebody just have a baby?
- 49:38Speaker 2: Ellie? Elliott can always say, and it's just like finger.
- 49:44Speaker 2: I said that before in life and forgot that it
- 49:47Speaker 2: was a Scrubs joke.
- 49:48Speaker 4: No, but freaking ET's chest lights up too.
- 49:50Speaker 2: It's not his heart like, That's what I forgot about that.
- 49:54Speaker 2: I always thought it was just his finger.
- 49:56Speaker 4: No, no, no, it's chess. That's what freaking turn on
- 49:58Speaker 4: your heart lights about. Don't turn on your hot light.
- 50:02Speaker 4: I think you'll let it shine wherever you go.
- 50:05Speaker 2: Don't you think Neil Diamond wrote that before Et.
- 50:08Speaker 4: No, he wrote that for Et. It's Et. No, look
- 50:12Speaker 4: it up, it's about Et. Turn on your heart light.
- 50:17Speaker 2: Well, this is mind blowing if true, let.
- 50:20Speaker 4: It shine wherever you go.
- 50:24Speaker 2: You're telling me that Neil Diamond's heart light song is
- 50:27Speaker 2: about Eat.
- 50:28Speaker 4: He was so inspired by Et that he wrote turn
- 50:33Speaker 4: on your Hot Light.
- 50:37Speaker 3: It talk about a reported twenty five thousand dollars in
- 50:40Speaker 3: Lawyers for mc A felt this song infringed upon the
- 50:43Speaker 3: copyright of the film What.
- 50:45Speaker 4: Let It Shine? Wherever You Go?
- 50:48Speaker 2: Wait a second, they sue.
- 50:49Speaker 4: Him, so yeah, Rolling Stone they did.
- 50:54Speaker 2: Wait, is ain't this dude wrote the song inspire inspired
- 50:59Speaker 2: by E See And then they suited. What a dumb lawsuit.
- 51:07Speaker 4: Turn on your heart light.
- 51:09Speaker 2: Sorry you can't talk about her alien that way, but
- 51:12Speaker 2: as stupid lawsuit, all right, shoutout puppet theater. Elliott's uterus
- 51:18Speaker 2: is glowing. My mom out of uterus, I lived in it.
- 51:22Speaker 2: And then Jad finally gets to be godfather, and.
- 51:25Speaker 4: Then he gets the name. The baby's name is Jennifer
- 51:28Speaker 4: Dylon and that was that was the best squeal ever
- 51:31Speaker 4: in the history of squeals.
- 51:39Speaker 2: So thrilled. He's so thrilled. And then, of course, as
- 51:43Speaker 2: we mentioned at the top, this is just beautiful. And
- 51:45Speaker 2: I cued up thirty seconds of the song because it's
- 51:48Speaker 2: a beautiful song by Keene, which is a band that's
- 51:50Speaker 2: disappeared and I just used to love, I still love.
- 51:54Speaker 4: I woke along. It's my song is.
- 52:07Speaker 6: Oh where have You Gone? Yeah, dude, you know why
- 52:15Speaker 6: it's fired. It's fired because it was it.
- 52:20Speaker 4: Dude. That band was so dope. They had so many
- 52:22Speaker 4: dope songs.
- 52:23Speaker 2: Man, if you don't know Keen, go back and listen
- 52:25Speaker 2: to Keen. That band.
- 52:26Speaker 4: You need more from you, Keen, Heen, let's get back together.
- 52:30Speaker 2: I don't know what happened.
- 52:32Speaker 4: I had a great time backstage with y'all.
- 52:34Speaker 2: Keen. If your manager is listening, please get back together.
- 52:39Speaker 4: Do you remember that time we hung out backstage with
- 52:41Speaker 4: them at that and they freaking when they tore down
- 52:44Speaker 4: the house with and if we have a man, and
- 52:47Speaker 4: why don't we go?
- 52:49Speaker 2: The lead singer had the sickest voice.
- 52:53Speaker 4: And do you remember when they came and ate lunch
- 52:55Speaker 4: at scrubs? Yeah, dude, they came to the whole band
- 53:00Speaker 4: came to visit and sat down and we ate lunch
- 53:03Speaker 4: with them, this British band, dude, And that's how and
- 53:06Speaker 4: then me you Raiden. Bill was Bill with us when
- 53:11Speaker 4: we went. I think he was. But we went to
- 53:14Speaker 4: the freaking see them at that in New York.
- 53:17Speaker 2: I told anyway, I love them and if anyone listening
- 53:21Speaker 2: knows them, please tell them to get back together. They're
- 53:24Speaker 2: so talented, but anyway, I digress that beautiful song that's
- 53:30Speaker 2: titled a Bad Dream. If you want to listen to it,
- 53:33Speaker 2: I'm only allowed to play a little bit. Is underscores
- 53:37Speaker 2: Judy's beautiful Goodbye to Laverne that I always see people
- 53:42Speaker 2: mentioning that's one of the most moving moments in Scrubs,
- 53:46Speaker 2: Judy's goodbye to to Laverne. If anyone's ever lost someone
- 53:52Speaker 2: and and and had to say goodbye, is is I
- 53:55Speaker 2: have too many times? I It's just really so elegantly
- 54:01Speaker 2: not and so beautifully acted and h and I just
- 54:04Speaker 2: think Judy is such a gifted artist. Scrubs. Wicki mentioned
- 54:09Speaker 2: that you can see a tear falling out of Aloma's eye.
- 54:14Speaker 2: I remember that, which remember, which is just so beautiful
- 54:18Speaker 2: because I mean, the actress Aloma Wright was so moved
- 54:26Speaker 2: that she cried from from Judy's monologue.
- 54:31Speaker 4: Dude, I remember.
- 54:32Speaker 9: I remember watching it and seeing Aloma crying and being like,
- 54:36Speaker 9: oh shit, because we were right there for when for
- 54:40Speaker 9: one of the shots, we're right there, it's a continuous
- 54:43Speaker 9: shot when she turns around, the three of us are
- 54:45Speaker 9: standing there and Judy comes out and I hug her
- 54:48Speaker 9: and everything like that. But I remember during in that
- 54:51Speaker 9: take you could see the tear coming down Aloma's face.
- 54:57Speaker 4: That was a very powerful moment. It was a really
- 54:59Speaker 4: really not only was the scene acted, not only was
- 55:03Speaker 4: the scene acted well, she she was very strategic on
- 55:09Speaker 4: how she did it too. I don't know if Judy
- 55:11Speaker 4: worked on it. I don't know what it was instinct.
- 55:13Speaker 4: I don't know what it was. But to be able
- 55:15Speaker 4: to start a scene and keep it on a joking
- 55:20Speaker 4: side and trying to be funny the whole way through,
- 55:24Speaker 4: and then getting to a moment where you can't be
- 55:27Speaker 4: funny anymore because it hurts so much, and being able
- 55:30Speaker 4: to convey that through camera is very, very difficult. It's
- 55:35Speaker 4: a very very challenging exercise in any form of acting
- 55:39Speaker 4: to do that. To be happy happy, I'm gonna project happiness,
- 55:43Speaker 4: but really I'm hurting and then the tears come through, because,
- 55:46Speaker 4: at least for an actor, at least for me, when
- 55:48Speaker 4: I'm set on crying, I'm gonna fucking try and get
- 55:51Speaker 4: to crying, you know what I mean. She didn't do that.
- 55:53Speaker 2: She started off. She had to start the scene, you know,
- 55:56Speaker 2: being in denial and trying to make some jokes and
- 55:59Speaker 2: just really done and uh and beautifully directed by Victor Nelly.
- 56:04Speaker 4: Yeah, well done?
- 56:05Speaker 2: What else do we want to say? I think we
- 56:06Speaker 2: did the show. We don't have a guest today. Anything
- 56:08Speaker 2: you want to add? Uh? Donald Faison, legendary member of
- 56:13Speaker 2: the Screen Actors Guild.
- 56:17Speaker 4: I like obi Wan and god you like obi Wan
- 56:20Speaker 4: and it's not because you're my friend.
- 56:22Speaker 2: Check out obi Wan. Check out episode three. It's masterfully done.
- 56:26Speaker 4: I can't wait for an episode four. I'm not gonna
- 56:28Speaker 4: lie either, and I'm very interested to see what happens next.
- 56:33Speaker 4: Is there's something wait, no, don't and I'm me motherfucker.
- 56:36Speaker 4: I'm talking about Star wars Man who tang Forever. I
- 56:40Speaker 4: am so excited to see what happens next because there
- 56:42Speaker 4: are things that they need to redo.
- 56:46Speaker 2: Are you gonna go see Top Gun? It made a
- 56:48Speaker 2: zillion dollars.
- 56:50Speaker 4: My wife wants to see it so bad. You know, Donald,
- 56:53Speaker 4: It's good? Well, okay, so let me ask you a question.
- 56:56Speaker 2: It was good, very good. Can I speak?
- 57:00Speaker 4: You've spoke the whole fucking show. Dude. Look, did you
- 57:09Speaker 4: see Top Gun when you were a young person?
- 57:12Speaker 8: Yes?
- 57:13Speaker 4: Okay? Is it fan service like Spider Man's a very
- 57:17Speaker 4: fan service? Your moments.
- 57:21Speaker 3: They definitely it makes many a callback there the camera
- 57:25Speaker 3: loves Linger on the photo of Goose and Maverick, classmen
- 57:30Speaker 3: classman hands, it's uh, you get the whole that opening
- 57:33Speaker 3: montage on the ship deck where they're.
- 57:35Speaker 2: Well, don't don't make Daniel delineate another spoiler.
- 57:40Speaker 3: No spoilers here, but yes, there are lots of moments
- 57:42Speaker 3: that reference the original.
- 57:44Speaker 2: Carry Brothers Carrie Brothers, who is a very big movie
- 57:49Speaker 2: fan and sees everything.
- 57:52Speaker 4: Donald.
- 57:53Speaker 2: We hung out with him on Memorial Day and he
- 57:55Speaker 2: could not He was like, they're publicist. He could not
- 57:58Speaker 2: stop talking about how mazed it was. He said, definitely,
- 58:01Speaker 2: go seeing an imax if you if you have access
- 58:05Speaker 2: to one. And here in l A he said, go
- 58:07Speaker 2: to Man's Chinese It's it's like it's like a ride.
- 58:09Speaker 2: He said, Oh my.
- 58:11Speaker 4: God, I want to see it so bad? Is it
- 58:12Speaker 4: for kids? Ken? Kids watch it? Oh? Yeah, because kids
- 58:15Speaker 4: couldn't watch that first one. They was fucking in the
- 58:18Speaker 4: first one.
- 58:20Speaker 3: There is a very brief love scene, so brief.
- 58:23Speaker 4: Like, yeah, I can't take my kids, can't watch that.
- 58:26Speaker 2: Hand there's no there's no even to.
- 58:28Speaker 4: No because then because then sex is out of the question.
- 58:31Speaker 4: In my house, because if they hear any type of
- 58:33Speaker 4: any sound, they're gonna be.
- 58:35Speaker 3: Like, literally, Jennifer the tackle kissing on a bed, he
- 58:40Speaker 3: just falls backwards.
- 58:41Speaker 2: Begin Gabrielle Union and I begin to make out and
- 58:44Speaker 2: cheaper by the dozen. They couldn't.
- 58:45Speaker 4: All that is is tackle kissing.
- 58:47Speaker 2: Okay, that's not tackle kissing. They can handle. They can
- 58:51Speaker 2: handle tackle kissing.
- 58:53Speaker 4: They can handle parents tackle kissing. And I can get
- 58:56Speaker 4: away with when you kissing it I can't get away with.
- 58:59Speaker 4: I can get away with if they were to walk
- 59:01Speaker 4: into the room and we were doing something being like
- 59:04Speaker 4: we're tackle kissing, we tackle kissing, I could get away
- 59:07Speaker 4: with that. Probably when you kiss Casey, well, it would
- 59:11Speaker 4: have to be it ain't is it not gonna be
- 59:13Speaker 4: panicking Joe Joel? Would it not be panicked? It would
- 59:18Speaker 4: be the ruining of their lives that then.
- 59:21Speaker 2: You kiss Casey in front of them, do they go eww?
- 59:24Speaker 4: Yeah? Absolutely, Oh my god. They can't take it. They
- 59:28Speaker 4: can't take it if it happens on if it happens
- 59:31Speaker 4: on screen. I don't think they've seen you kiss Gabrielle
- 59:34Speaker 4: Union in cheap about a dozen. The minute you go in,
- 59:36Speaker 4: they're like oh god, here it looked away. Yeah, they
- 59:39Speaker 4: look away. Here goes that nasty shit again.
