- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up everyone, and welcome back to the program. In
- 0:03Speaker 1: this episode, we're picking up where we left off with
- 0:06Speaker 1: the Tyler Robinson probable cause. After David expanded crime scene investigation,
- 0:14Speaker 1: law enforcement officers followed the suspect's escape path to the
- 0:17Speaker 1: northeast end of campus, where they believe the suspect left
- 0:21Speaker 1: campus and entered a woodelleria. In that woodal aeria, investigators
- 0:25Speaker 1: found the bolt action rifle wrapped in a towel. The
- 0:29Speaker 1: rifle contained one spent round and three unspent rounds. This
- 0:33Speaker 1: is consistent with the fax officers observed at the time
- 0:37Speaker 1: of and immediately after the shooting. No shell casings were
- 0:41Speaker 1: found on the roof, suggesting a bolt action rather than
- 0:44Speaker 1: an auto loading weapon, and only a single round that
- 0:47Speaker 1: was fired. Each round in the rifle contained an etched
- 0:52Speaker 1: inscription as follows. Fired cartridge notices bulge, Oh woe what
- 0:58Speaker 1: is this? Cartridge? Hey? Fascist? Catch? Third cartridge? Oh bellachow
- 1:06Speaker 1: bellachow bella chow chow chow. Fourth cartridge. If you read
- 1:11Speaker 1: this you are gay LMAO. The rifle, ammunition, rounds, and
- 1:17Speaker 1: towell were sent for forensic processing DNA that was consistent
- 1:21Speaker 1: with Robinson's was found on the trigger, other parts of
- 1:24Speaker 1: the rifle, the fired cartridge, casing, two of the three
- 1:27Speaker 1: unfired cartridges, and the towel. Law enforcement was unable to
- 1:32Speaker 1: immediately locate the shooter, so they published photos of the
- 1:35Speaker 1: shooter from the UVU surveillance camera and asked for the
- 1:38Speaker 1: public's help to identify them. Meanwhile, law enforcement continued to
- 1:42Speaker 1: try and identify the shooter through other means the Washington
- 1:47Speaker 1: County investigation. On the evening of September eleventh, twenty twenty five,
- 1:51Speaker 1: as law enforcement continued their investigation, Tyler James Robinson went
- 1:56Speaker 1: to the Washington County Sheriff's office with his parents and
- 1:59Speaker 1: a family friend to turn himself in. Robinson's mother stated
- 2:04Speaker 1: the following to the police. On September eleventh, twenty twenty five,
- 2:08Speaker 1: the day after the shooting, Robinson's mother saw the photo
- 2:11Speaker 1: of the shooter in the news and thought the shooter
- 2:13Speaker 1: looked like her son. Robinson's mother called her son and
- 2:16Speaker 1: asked him where he was. He said he was at
- 2:19Speaker 1: home sick, and that he had also been at home
- 2:21Speaker 1: sick on September tenth. Robinson's mother expressed concern to her
- 2:25Speaker 1: husband that the suspected shooter looked like Robinson. Robinson's father agreed.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Robinson's mother explained that over the last year or so,
- 2:35Speaker 1: Robinson had become more political and had started to lean
- 2:38Speaker 1: more to the left, becoming more pro gay and transrite oriented.
- 2:43Speaker 1: She stated that Robinson began to date his roommate, a
- 2:46Speaker 1: biological male who was transitioning genders. This resulted in several
- 2:51Speaker 1: discussions with family members, but especially between Robinson and his father,
- 2:56Speaker 1: who have very different political views. In one conversation for
- 3:00Speaker 1: the shooting, Robinson mentioned that Charlie Kirk would be holding
- 3:04Speaker 1: an event at UVU, which Robinson said was a stupid venue.
- 3:08Speaker 1: For the event, Robinson accused Kirk of spreading hate. Robinson's
- 3:13Speaker 1: father reported that when his wife showed him the surveillance
- 3:16Speaker 1: image of the suspected shooter in the news, he agreed
- 3:19Speaker 1: that it looked like their son. He also believed that
- 3:22Speaker 1: the rifle that police suspected the shooter used matched a
- 3:25Speaker 1: rifle that was given to his son as a gift.
- 3:28Speaker 1: As a result, Robinson's father contacted his son and asked
- 3:31Speaker 1: him to send the photo of the rifle. Robinson did
- 3:34Speaker 1: not respond. However, Robinson's father spoke on the phone with Robinson.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Robinson implied that he planned to take his own life.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Robinson's parents were able to convince him to meet at
- 3:45Speaker 1: their home. As they discussed the situation, Robinson implied that
- 3:49Speaker 1: he was a shooter and stated that he couldn't go
- 3:52Speaker 1: to jail and just wanted to end it. When asked
- 3:56Speaker 1: why he did it, Robinson explained, there's too much evil
- 3:59Speaker 1: and the guy Charlie Kirk spreads too much hate. They
- 4:02Speaker 1: talked about Robinson turning himself in and convinced Robinson to
- 4:05Speaker 1: speak with family friend who's a retired deputy sheriff. At
- 4:09Speaker 1: Robinson's father's request, the family friend met with Robinson and
- 4:13Speaker 1: his parents and convinced Robinson to turn himself in. The
- 4:18Speaker 1: family friend spoke to police and reported telling Robinson that
- 4:22Speaker 1: it would be best if he brought all evidence with
- 4:24Speaker 1: him to the sheriff's office to avoid having police search
- 4:27Speaker 1: his parents home. The family friend also asked Robinson if
- 4:31Speaker 1: he had any clothes that were related to what he did.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Robinson replied that he had disposed of the clothes in
- 4:37Speaker 1: different areas. The roommate. Police interviewed Robinson's roommate, a biological
- 4:43Speaker 1: male who was involved in a romantic relationship with Robinson.
- 4:47Speaker 1: The roommate told police that the roommate received messages from
- 4:51Speaker 1: Robinson about the shooting and provided those messages to police.
- 4:55Speaker 1: On September tenth, twenty twenty five, the roommate received a
- 4:59Speaker 1: text message from Robinson which said, drop what you're doing,
- 5:02Speaker 1: look under my keyboard. The roommate looked under the keyboard
- 5:06Speaker 1: and found a note that stated I had the opportunity
- 5:09Speaker 1: to take out Charlie Kirk and I'm going to take it.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Police found a photograph of this note. The following text
- 5:15Speaker 1: exchange then took place. After reading the note, the roommate responded,
- 5:20Speaker 1: what you're joking, right, Robinson? I am still okay, my love,
- 5:24Speaker 1: but I'm stuck in Orum for a little while longer yet,
- 5:27Speaker 1: shouldn't be long until I can come home. But I
- 5:30Speaker 1: got to grab my rifle still. To be honest, I
- 5:32Speaker 1: had hoped to keep this secret till I died of
- 5:35Speaker 1: old age. I'm sorry to involve you, roommate. You aren't
- 5:38Speaker 1: the one who did it, right Robinson, I am. I'm sorry, roommate.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I thought they caught the person, Robinson. No, they grabbed
- 5:46Speaker 1: some crazy old dude then interrogated someone in similar clothing.
- 5:50Speaker 1: I had planned to grab my rifle from the drop
- 5:52Speaker 1: point shortly after, but most of that side of town
- 5:55Speaker 1: got locked down. It's quiet, almost enough to get out,
- 5:58Speaker 1: but there's one vehicle lingering. Roommate. Why Robinson? Why did
- 6:03Speaker 1: I do it? Roommate, Yeah, Robinson, I had enough of
- 6:06Speaker 1: his hatred. Some hate can't be negotiated out. If I'm
- 6:11Speaker 1: able to grab my rifle unseen, I will have left
- 6:13Speaker 1: no evidence going to attempt to retrieve it again. Hopefully
- 6:17Speaker 1: they have moved on. I haven't seen anything about them
- 6:20Speaker 1: finding it. Roommate, how long have you been planning this, Robinson?
- 6:24Speaker 1: A bit over a week. I believe I can get
- 6:26Speaker 1: close to it, but there is a squad car parked
- 6:28Speaker 1: right by it. I think they already swept that spot,
- 6:31Speaker 1: but I don't want to chance it. Robinson. I'm wishing
- 6:34Speaker 1: I had circled back and grabbed it as soon as
- 6:36Speaker 1: I got back to my vehicle. I'm worried that my
- 6:38Speaker 1: old man would do if I didn't bring Grandpa's rifle back.
- 6:42Speaker 1: ID E k if it had a serial number, but
- 6:46Speaker 1: it wouldn't trace to me. I worry about Prince I
- 6:49Speaker 1: had to leave it in a bush where I changed outfits,
- 6:52Speaker 1: didn't have the ability or time to bring it. I
- 6:55Speaker 1: might have to abandon it and hope they don't find Prince.
- 6:58Speaker 1: How the fuck will I explain losing it to my
- 7:00Speaker 1: old man? Only thing I left was the rifle wrapped
- 7:04Speaker 1: in a towel. Remember how I was engraving bullets. The
- 7:07Speaker 1: fucking messages are mostly a big meme. If I see
- 7:10Speaker 1: notices bulge Uwu on Fox News, I might have a stroke.
- 7:16Speaker 1: All right, I'm gonna have to leave it. That really
- 7:18Speaker 1: fucking sucks. Judging from today, I'd say Grandpa's gun does
- 7:22Speaker 1: just fine. I don't know. I think it was a
- 7:24Speaker 1: two K scope. Robinson, Delete this exchange, Robinson. My dad
- 7:29Speaker 1: wants photos of the rifle, he says. Grandpa wants to
- 7:32Speaker 1: know who has what. The Feds released a photo of
- 7:34Speaker 1: the rifle, and it's very unique. He's calling me right now,
- 7:37Speaker 1: not answering, Robinson. Since Trump got into office, my dad
- 7:41Speaker 1: has been pretty diehard. Maga, Robinson. I'm gonna turn myself
- 7:45Speaker 1: in willingly. One of my neighbors here is a deputy
- 7:48Speaker 1: for the sheriff. Robinson, You're all I worry about my
- 7:52Speaker 1: love roommate, I'm much more worried about you. Robinson, don't
- 7:57Speaker 1: talk to the media. Please don't take any interviews or
- 7:59Speaker 1: make any comments. If any police ask you questions, for
- 8:02Speaker 1: a lawyer, and stay silent. The search of Robinson's residence,
- 8:08Speaker 1: police executed a search warrant on Robinson's residence. During that search,
- 8:12Speaker 1: police discovered a shell casing with etchings like the etchings
- 8:15Speaker 1: found on the shells in the rifle near UVU. Police
- 8:19Speaker 1: also found several targets with bullet holes in Robinson's home.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Count one aggravated murder pertains to robinson shooting and killing
- 8:30Speaker 1: of Charlie Kirk in a manner that exposed others in
- 8:33Speaker 1: addition to mister Kirk to a great risk of death.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Count two felony discharge of a firearm pertains to Robinson
- 8:40Speaker 1: shooting mister Kirk knowing that doing so would endanger those
- 8:43Speaker 1: in the bullet's path. The shot caused serious bodily injury
- 8:46Speaker 1: to mister Kirk, ultimately resulting in his death. Count three
- 8:50Speaker 1: Obstruction of justice pertains to Robinson's removal and hiding of
- 8:54Speaker 1: the rifle that he used to shoot mister Kirk. Count

- 9:02Speaker 1: the clothing he wore when he shot mister Kirk. Count

- 9:13Speaker 1: Count six witness tappering pertains to Robinson's statement to his
- 9:17Speaker 1: roommate telling the roommate if any police ask questions, ask
- 9:20Speaker 1: for a lawyer and stay silent. Count seven Violence offense
- 9:25Speaker 1: committed in the presence of a child pertains to robinson
- 9:28Speaker 1: shooting of mister Kirk in the presence of children under
- 9:32Speaker 1: the age of fourteen who were visible at the event.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Based upon evidence received from Brian Davis of the Utah
- 9:39Speaker 1: State Bureau of Investigations, I have reasons to believe that
- 9:43Speaker 1: the defendant committed the offenses as charged here in authorized
- 9:48Speaker 1: for presentment and filing on September sixteenth, twenty twenty five.
- 9:53Speaker 1: This document was signed by Jeffrey Gray, the Utah County Attorney.
- 9:59Speaker 1: All Right, folks, So so there's the probable cause aff
- 10:01Speaker 1: of David, and the State of Utah is going to
- 10:04Speaker 1: have to prove each one of those allegations to a
- 10:06Speaker 1: point where there is no reasonable doubt, and we'll be
- 10:09Speaker 1: here every step of the way as it unfolds. All
- 10:13Speaker 1: the information that goes with this episode can be found
