- 0:00Speaker 1: Yeah, this is gonna Mark Simon Show on seven to.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Ten wor.
- 0:08Speaker 3: Well, it's gonna be very hot today. This will be
- 0:11Speaker 3: the hottest day of the week heat waved day to day.
- 0:13Speaker 3: It'll get up into upper upper nineties. It's already like
- 0:16Speaker 3: ninety two degrees. It'll cool down down to ninety two
- 0:20Speaker 3: tomorrow and then should be okay for the rest of
- 0:23Speaker 3: the week as far as temperature. But very very very
- 0:27Speaker 3: hot today. So a lot to get to Iran. We'll
- 0:31Speaker 3: get to Chuck Schumer, his bodily functions, horrifying people in
- 0:35Speaker 3: the Congress. We'll get to a lot of hearings today,
- 0:39Speaker 3: Jay Clayton, Todd Blanche, We'll get to Ice and Tom
- 0:43Speaker 3: Holman and Joe Biden has caved into the Democratic leadership
- 0:50Speaker 3: on something. We'll get to crazy Mom, Donnie and his
- 0:54Speaker 3: disgusting shantytown. His homeless encampment goes for twelve blocks on
- 0:59Speaker 3: the West Side, absolutely disgusting. Get to Leecheni's disease and
- 1:03Speaker 3: daylight saving time, and a lot more coming up. And
- 1:06Speaker 3: we've been bombing around heavily all night, just pounding it
- 1:09Speaker 3: all night long, hitting all kinds of targets. President Trump
- 1:15Speaker 3: has said We'll keep this up for a couple of
- 1:17Speaker 3: weeks and if they don't make a peace agreement. I mean,
- 1:21Speaker 3: we're hitting military targets right now. But he said, if
- 1:25Speaker 3: they don't come to an agreement in the next few weeks,
- 1:27Speaker 3: they'll start to go after energy targets, power plants, bridges, infrastructure.
- 1:34Speaker 3: This is normal in warfare. You know when you go
- 1:36Speaker 3: to war, that's the first thing you do is you
- 1:38Speaker 3: hit take out all the bridges, take out the power plants,
- 1:41Speaker 3: take out the water. But it's the first thing you
- 1:42Speaker 3: do in anyway Iraq war. We did it to day
- 1:45Speaker 3: one and two, but the President says I'll save that
- 1:48Speaker 3: for last. We hope we don't have to do it,
- 1:51Speaker 3: but if we have to do it, we'll do it.
- 1:53Speaker 3: He said, We're going to continue to hit them night
- 1:55Speaker 3: after night after night. Actually said next week if it
- 1:58Speaker 3: gets really bad for them, because next week, if they
- 2:01Speaker 3: haven't made an agreement, will start on power plants straight
- 2:05Speaker 3: Ohorn Moose is closed right now. We can reopen it
- 2:08Speaker 3: when we want to. We have. Before there was this,
- 2:11Speaker 3: Trump planned to charge ships twenty a twenty percent toll
- 2:16Speaker 3: to come through. The President dropped that and follow the
- 2:21Speaker 3: fake news if you read the New York Times or MSNBC,
- 2:24Speaker 3: they'll make it look like he was just flip flopping
- 2:27Speaker 3: like crazy. Why he backed off? The president backed off. Actually,
- 2:31Speaker 3: what happened is all the golf states called him and
- 2:34Speaker 3: asked him. They actually made a deal with him, don't
- 2:38Speaker 3: don't do the tolls, and instead we'll take the same
- 2:40Speaker 3: amount of money and will invest it in the United States,
- 2:43Speaker 3: which is a much better deal. So no tolls. Golf
- 2:46Speaker 3: leaders have all agreed will invest tremendously in the United
- 2:50Speaker 3: States instead of paying that fee. These investments will be massive,
- 2:54Speaker 3: but at the same time very good for them and
- 2:57Speaker 3: for us. So it's a pretty good deal that he struck. Now,
- 3:01Speaker 3: you know, the Iraqi president was in the White House
- 3:05Speaker 3: yesterday for meetings. Now it's hard to ever imagine this,
- 3:10Speaker 3: but we're now working closely with Iraq. We got all
- 3:13Speaker 3: our oil companies in there about to get tons of
- 3:17Speaker 3: oil out of there. One reason we're doing this is
- 3:18Speaker 3: it'll completely screw up Iran in the future, will dramatically
- 3:23Speaker 3: increase oil production and oil export out of Iraq, which
- 3:27Speaker 3: will screw up Iran. I know it sounds kind of stranger.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Iraq in the White House. But you know, it's like Vietnam.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Nobody could ever imagine that we'd be friends with Vietnam
- 3:38Speaker 3: one day. They were our worst enemy for years. Nobody
- 3:41Speaker 3: could imagine ever there'd be a time where American tourists
- 3:45Speaker 3: would love to go to Vietnam and stay at the
- 3:47Speaker 3: Saigon Four Seasons, the Hanoi Ritz Carlton. We never thought
- 3:51Speaker 3: we'd see that, But that's what happened. Simply with Japan.
- 3:54Speaker 3: I mean, there was a time after World War Two
- 3:56Speaker 3: you could never imagine we'd have any kind of friendly
- 3:59Speaker 3: relationship with your But as who said it, some great
- 4:04Speaker 3: statesmen said it, we don't have permanent friends, we don't
- 4:07Speaker 3: have permanent foes. We only have permanent interests. So Iraq
- 4:12Speaker 3: yesterday meeting with the President, well, we don't think.
- 4:14Speaker 4: We need the military there anymore. It's a very big operation.
- 4:20Speaker 4: And what we do have is the oil companies are
- 4:22Speaker 4: all going in now when they're doing partnerships with Iraq,
- 4:27Speaker 4: and they're getting.
- 4:28Speaker 5: Along very well.
- 4:29Speaker 3: Now it's going to be just like Vietnam. There's gonna
- 4:32Speaker 3: be a Baghdad Hilton of Baghdad four Seasons. You're gonna
- 4:36Speaker 3: walk around Iraq. There's gonna be a Starbucks everywhere they'll be.
- 4:42Speaker 3: It'll just be like Vietnam. You know how many times
- 4:43Speaker 3: you somebody said we're going to Vietnam on their vacation.
- 4:46Speaker 3: You're going to see people going to Iraq on their
- 4:47Speaker 3: vacation within a couple of years. We're now friends with that.
- 4:51Speaker 4: Iran was a big burden on Iraq because they were
- 4:56Speaker 4: the belly of the Middle East, as you know, and
- 4:58Speaker 4: we were just talking about that. But they're not going
- 5:01Speaker 4: to have that problem anymore because Iran has been very
- 5:05Speaker 4: much destabilized and really their military powers just a tiny
- 5:12Speaker 4: fraction of what it was just four months ago.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Yeah, so no matter what happens at this point, the
- 5:16Speaker 3: threat of Iran, the bully of the Middle East, threatening everybody,
- 5:20Speaker 3: they really can't threaten it. They have no military left,
- 5:22Speaker 3: no air force, no navy. They have some defensive capability,
- 5:26Speaker 3: but that's about it. And money wise, we've completely bankrupted them,
- 5:31Speaker 3: shutting down their oil exports, so they really are totally
- 5:36Speaker 3: out of it now as far as threatening the whole region. Hey,
- 5:39Speaker 3: today there's a lot of testimony Todd Blanche confirmation hearings
- 5:44Speaker 3: for Attorney General J. Clayton is a great guy. He
- 5:48Speaker 3: was our US attorney here in the Manhattan. Great guy.
- 5:51Speaker 3: He's going to go through confirmation hearings now, they're going
- 5:54Speaker 3: to when Democrats really know how to do these confirmation hearings.
- 5:58Speaker 3: It's all theatrics. It's all for the cameras. It's all
- 6:01Speaker 3: to create clips to play all over the fake news.
- 6:04Speaker 3: So they'll yell and scream at Todd Blanche about anything
- 6:07Speaker 3: and everything. Same thing with Jay Clayton. With that Todd Blanche,
- 6:10Speaker 3: they're yelling at him about the Epstein files. They really
- 6:13Speaker 3: got to give up on these Epstein files. I mean,
- 6:15Speaker 3: nice try, but there was nothing there. I mean, it's
- 6:18Speaker 3: ugly stuff about Epstein, but that's it. It's pretty much Epstein.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Maybe Bill Gates, Prince Andrew and a bunch of Democrats
- 6:26Speaker 3: who got caught in there. But that's about it. Also,
- 6:30Speaker 3: later today Jay Clayton will testify. They'll go after Clayton
- 6:36Speaker 3: for a number of things. The New York Times reporters
- 6:39Speaker 3: that the Department of Justice has subpoena. They will go
- 6:42Speaker 3: after that. Now, if you watch the fake news or
- 6:44Speaker 3: read the New York Times or any of that, you're
- 6:47Speaker 3: getting the impression that it's law fare. That the Justice
- 6:51Speaker 3: Department is going after they're going to try to prosecute
- 6:55Speaker 3: these New York Times reporters. Just awful. Well, that's not
- 7:00Speaker 3: at all what's happening. Nobody in New York Times is
- 7:02Speaker 3: getting prosecuted or charged with anything. They're just being subpoenaed
- 7:07Speaker 3: as witnesses in a case. They seem to know a
- 7:10Speaker 3: lot about the new presidential jet, the new Air Force
- 7:12Speaker 3: won more than they're supposed to know, some of it classified.
- 7:16Speaker 3: So they're just being subpoena to testify about where these
- 7:19Speaker 3: leaks are coming from. So that's a pretty reasonable thing. Hey,
- 7:24Speaker 3: Joe Biden is going to do his big book tour.
- 7:28Speaker 3: This is a big thing for Biden. It's a money
- 7:30Speaker 3: making thing, although he's going to be quite surprised that
- 7:33Speaker 3: how nobody buys the book and he's not going to
- 7:36Speaker 3: make a lot of money. But he's even put out
- 7:38Speaker 3: a two minute trailer for the book, trying to make
- 7:41Speaker 3: it look like he was Winston Churchill, like he was
- 7:44Speaker 3: a great statesman.
- 7:45Speaker 6: He was just.
- 7:47Speaker 3: A bird's eye, frozen vegetable for four years, didn't know
- 7:50Speaker 3: where he was, didn't do anything, There was no cabinet meeting, nothing,
- 7:55Speaker 3: didn't know what was going on, did absolutely nothing except
- 7:58Speaker 3: the only thing he really was active on was that
- 8:00Speaker 3: law fare. He had the dirtiest attorney general ever prosecuting
- 8:04Speaker 3: Donald Trump in multiple places at once. That was basically
- 8:07Speaker 3: his main activity. So the book was supposed to come
- 8:12Speaker 3: out in the early fall, you know, October something like that.
- 8:15Speaker 3: September October, that's the best time to launch a book.
- 8:18Speaker 3: That's the big time for a book launch. And if
- 8:21Speaker 3: you're the publisher and you gave this guy, you overpaid
- 8:24Speaker 3: this guy by millions, and he's a former president, well
- 8:27Speaker 3: obviously it's September October. That's when you do the book,
- 8:31Speaker 3: perfect time for a book release. Well, the Democratic leaders
- 8:35Speaker 3: have gotten to Biden and pretty much ordered him to
- 8:39Speaker 3: delay that book release till late November, which is not
- 8:43Speaker 3: the best time.
- 8:45Speaker 6: Now.
- 8:45Speaker 3: The reason is a book to it means Biden is
- 8:49Speaker 3: all over the place, all over TV, and he's going
- 8:51Speaker 3: to stumble and make gaps and look brain dead and
- 8:54Speaker 3: not know where he is. And the Democrats don't want
- 8:57Speaker 3: people reminded of all this, and they think it'll be
- 9:00Speaker 3: badly affect the mid term elections in November. So that's
- 9:03Speaker 3: why they've pretty much forced him to postpone the book
- 9:06Speaker 3: release till after the midterms. It could really screw up
- 9:10Speaker 3: Democrats in the midterms to get a look at Biden again.
- 9:14Speaker 3: People have Democrats have this great skill at amnesia forgetting
- 9:18Speaker 3: all the horrible things they did, like four years of
- 9:21Speaker 3: telling us Biden was just fine and he was okay.
- 9:25Speaker 3: So it'll be a late November. Kamala Harris, if she
- 9:28Speaker 3: ever wants to run, this is a problem for her.
- 9:31Speaker 3: If she wants to run, she's got to just be
- 9:33Speaker 3: Kamala Harris. She can't be associated with feeble, crazy old
- 9:36Speaker 3: Joe Biden, so this book release will not be good
- 9:40Speaker 3: for her. So yesterday was these were interesting hearing. Supreme
- 9:44Speaker 3: Court needs more funding. They need a budget increase to
- 9:48Speaker 3: cover the security because of a crazy Democrats, and they've
- 9:53Speaker 3: riled up their crazy lunatics out there. There've been all
- 9:57Speaker 3: kinds of threats on Supreme Court justices, people trying to
- 10:00Speaker 3: break into their house, people shooting at them, assassins being caught. Remember,
- 10:04Speaker 3: even Chuck Schumer called for terrible things to happen to
- 10:08Speaker 3: these justices, and sure enough, the next day a lunatic
- 10:12Speaker 3: was coming up the lawn of It was a Kavanaugh
- 10:14Speaker 3: with a gun, a knife, rope, handcuffs, the whole thing.
- 10:19Speaker 3: Luckily they caught him, police arrested him, but dramatic testimony
- 10:24Speaker 3: Amy Cony Barrett talking about how tough it was and.
- 10:27Speaker 7: Threats to my life were particularly intense. A few years ago,
- 10:31Speaker 7: around the time of the dobs Leek, my security detail
- 10:34Speaker 7: sent me home with a bulletproof vest and I carried
- 10:36Speaker 7: it into my house, put it into my bedroom, dropped
- 10:38Speaker 7: it down on a table, turned around, and my twelve
- 10:41Speaker 7: year old son was standing in the doorway of my
- 10:43Speaker 7: bedroom and he wanted to know what it was and
- 10:46Speaker 7: why I had it, and I didn't know how to respond.
- 10:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, Supreme Court justice used to be a
- 10:53Speaker 3: pretty quiet job and certainly not something where you had
- 10:57Speaker 3: to really worry about security. But it's just terrible. So
- 11:01Speaker 3: hopefully they'll get the funding increase. The big news of
- 11:04Speaker 3: the day, Chuck Schumer is on the Senate floor speaking
- 11:10Speaker 3: and let's out an enormous fart. Are you supposed to
- 11:16Speaker 3: say that word on the ear? I guess you can
- 11:17Speaker 3: say it, But Schumer, it was very loud and clear.
- 11:21Speaker 3: You know, sometimes they have some blooper where you think
- 11:24Speaker 3: it sound like that guy farted the newscasters and you
- 11:27Speaker 3: can't be one hundred This was one hundred percent, absolute definite.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Everybody looked startled. Even Schumer kind of laughed. He tried
- 11:35Speaker 3: not to laugh, but he almost laughed. But it was loud,
- 11:37Speaker 3: it was clear. So this is Schumer now, besides the
- 11:40Speaker 3: fact that he's been a cheap, pandering, hustling politician, just
- 11:46Speaker 3: a cheap politician. The glasses get bigger every year. Now
- 11:50Speaker 3: he's like he's Uncle Junior on the Sopranos. Just remember
- 11:54Speaker 3: Uncle Junior just farting into that sofa cushion for the
- 11:57Speaker 3: last few years. That's what Schumer's became. Come time for
- 12:00Speaker 3: him to go. I know, he's got a couple of
- 12:02Speaker 3: years left. He should step down right now and just
- 12:06Speaker 3: get out of there. Well, actually, maybe maybe he shouldn't
- 12:09Speaker 3: because Hokl then could appoint AOC or somebody. Yeah, I
- 12:14Speaker 3: mean the good thing about Schumris does absolutely nothing except
- 12:18Speaker 3: go around collecting donations. Hey, Ice, there's this two incidents,
- 12:24Speaker 3: two shootings, one in Maine where Ice had to shoot
- 12:27Speaker 3: somebody who was trying to ram them with his vehicle.
- 12:30Speaker 3: He wasn't the guy that we're looking for, but he
- 12:32Speaker 3: tried to ram him with his vehicle. This was a
- 12:34Speaker 3: vehicle stop. So Holman always steps into quiet things down
- 12:39Speaker 3: and said, let's not do any vehicle stops for a while.
- 12:43Speaker 3: Here here's Holman.
- 12:44Speaker 8: I'm confident they're going to get back to their policy
- 12:47Speaker 8: or vehicle stops. But they're doing, you know, what they
- 12:49Speaker 8: believe is unnecessary short term pause, just to look at
- 12:52Speaker 8: it and make sure everything's good.
- 12:54Speaker 3: Now. He called for a halt to vehicle stops for
- 12:57Speaker 3: a while, but then President Trump countermanded that order and
- 13:01Speaker 3: said keep them up. But then Holman called Trump. They've
- 13:03Speaker 3: spoken at length, and I think Trump has agreed to
- 13:07Speaker 3: just give it a couple of weeks rest. Maine has
- 13:11Speaker 3: gone crazy left wing and you know this is like Minnesota.
- 13:16Speaker 3: Homan had to go there, spent a couple of weeks
- 13:18Speaker 3: quiet everything down.
- 13:19Speaker 8: This is going to be a short term review. So
- 13:21Speaker 8: ICE shows comfortable that their agents are safe, they're doing
- 13:24Speaker 8: the right thing, and get back to, you know, doing
- 13:27Speaker 8: what they do best, which is you know, making vehicle stops.
- 13:30Speaker 8: But like I said, I'll say it again, but there
- 13:32Speaker 8: are options during the short time period to rest. They
- 13:34Speaker 8: land before he gets in a moving weapon and arrest
- 13:38Speaker 8: them after it he stops.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Yeah, so Maine is now a crazy left wing place.
- 13:44Speaker 3: How did that happen? Well, it's a very small population
- 13:46Speaker 3: in Maine. Small population means just a handful of people
- 13:51Speaker 3: can come in there and change the whole demographic, the
- 13:53Speaker 3: whole voter makeup. So all these crazy left wing people Massachusetts,
- 13:58Speaker 3: the Cambridge crowd in the pandemic, a lot of people
- 14:01Speaker 3: decided to leave the city, moved to the suburbs. Well
- 14:04Speaker 3: in Boston that happened, and suburbs of them were Maine.
- 14:07Speaker 3: So a lot of people moved to Maine. A lot
- 14:08Speaker 3: of left wingers changed everything there. That's how these crazy
- 14:13Speaker 3: Grand Platinum types can run in Maine now. And the protesters,
- 14:17Speaker 3: they're all up there.
- 14:18Speaker 9: That's the f out of our states.
- 14:22Speaker 3: So it's not the old main that you remember. It's
- 14:25Speaker 3: a whole different place. Hey, coming up, we'll get to
- 14:27Speaker 3: Mayor Mom Donnie and this awful shanty town. It started
- 14:31Speaker 3: out as a homeless encampment on the west side near
- 14:34Speaker 3: the Intrepid Big tourist attraction, and it's grown. The twelve
- 14:38Speaker 3: blocks they've tapped into street lights and all that to
- 14:43Speaker 3: steal electricity. So it's like these California, San Francisco, La
- 14:49Speaker 3: homeless cities where it just goes for blocks and blocks
- 14:52Speaker 3: and blocks. They've got electricity gonna It's unbelievable that a
- 14:58Speaker 3: mayor would allow that to happen, and any other mayor,
- 15:01Speaker 3: as soon as it was half a block would have
- 15:03Speaker 3: cleaned it up. This is twelve blocks in growing. So
- 15:06Speaker 3: we'll get to that throughout the program. Hey, we'll take
- 15:08Speaker 3: some calls. Next. Eight hundred three two one zero seven
- 15:12Speaker 3: ten is the number. Eight hundred three two one zero seven.
- 15:17Speaker 10: Tens and this breaks out in every show. Mark simone
- 15:21Speaker 10: on seven ten wr.
- 15:24Speaker 3: Hey, let's they can call its. Eight hundred three to
- 15:27Speaker 3: two one zero seven ten is the number. Let's go
- 15:29Speaker 3: to Carol in Stonybrook. Carol, how you doing.
- 15:33Speaker 11: Good morning, Mark. I listened to you every day. I
- 15:36Speaker 11: think you're terrific, and I agree with ninety nine percent
- 15:38Speaker 11: of what you say. But yesterday you mentioned that you
- 15:42Speaker 11: thought Kassy Hockel did the right thing by putting a
- 15:44Speaker 11: hold on data centers, and you did explain why. But
- 15:49Speaker 11: I just think she's pandering to her left wing of
- 15:52Speaker 11: the party. I don't think it's in the best interests
- 15:54Speaker 11: of New York State. I think the data centers will
- 15:57Speaker 11: go to other states, and I think it's just puts
- 16:00Speaker 11: New York further and further behind.
- 16:02Speaker 3: Well, we'll always have data centers because they're proposing like
- 16:06Speaker 3: hundreds of them all over New York State. It's hard
- 16:09Speaker 3: to believe Kathy Hokle could be right about anything. So
- 16:11Speaker 3: you have a good point there, But the problem is
- 16:14Speaker 3: the concerns about how much water they use electricity.
- 16:16Speaker 11: Well, even President Trump said that they would supply their
- 16:19Speaker 11: own energy and water.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Yeah, but that none of them that are applying here
- 16:23Speaker 3: in New York have proposed that or shown how they
- 16:25Speaker 3: can do. Once they show how they can do that,
- 16:26Speaker 3: they'll be fine.
- 16:27Speaker 11: Well, wouldn't it be better to compromise with them and say,
- 16:30Speaker 11: these are the requirements before you build your data center.
- 16:33Speaker 11: You do X, Y and Z, and then you proceed.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Yeah, no, she said, she's talking all these people. They'll
- 16:39Speaker 3: figure it out.
- 16:42Speaker 11: It gets reminds me of another thing like with not
- 16:45Speaker 11: only Kassi Hochel, but Andrew Croomo not allowing cracking in
- 16:48Speaker 11: New York. And that's why our bills, our electric bills
- 16:52Speaker 11: are so high, and we get the energy from Pennsylvania because.
- 16:57Speaker 3: A huge difference. Fracking produces energy for the town and everybody,
- 17:01Speaker 3: whereas the data center uses it and takes it away
- 17:04Speaker 3: from the town.
- 17:05Speaker 11: Well, supposedly they're supposed to supply their own energy when
- 17:08Speaker 11: they build them back.
- 17:09Speaker 3: I know, but that turned out to be a bit
- 17:11Speaker 3: of a myth. No, none of them have shown they
- 17:13Speaker 3: can do that yet. They'll become a point where maybe
- 17:14Speaker 3: they can. But she's just waiting for that point. It's
- 17:18Speaker 3: not wrong to be a little cautious on these data centers.
- 17:21Speaker 3: But thanks for Colin. Let's go to Mike and Florida. Mike,
- 17:24Speaker 3: how you doing, Good morning, Mark, that's Mike.
- 17:28Speaker 12: It's not only the lufties up in Maine that are protesting,
- 17:31Speaker 12: but even dopey Susan Collins came out with a negative
- 17:34Speaker 12: comment about the incident, which she could have certainly framed
- 17:38Speaker 12: more positively for the other side. You know, make your
- 17:42Speaker 12: call and try to run down ice agents.
- 17:44Speaker 3: Now you remember, that's always been Susan Collins, she's always been.
- 17:47Speaker 3: He's all over the map. She's not a Trump person,
- 17:49Speaker 3: she's not a Trump supporter, she's not anything like that.
- 17:52Speaker 12: But she always how was I'm sorry, I how is
- 17:56Speaker 12: the dinner with Milecoff and Jimmy Sayala.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Well, we had dinner Monday night. Mark Melcoff, who wrote
- 18:01Speaker 3: this great new book called Love Johnny Carson's best book
- 18:04Speaker 3: on Johnny Carson. Tom Cutty took us to dinner. Jimmy,
- 18:07Speaker 3: Jimmy Fayla. He's become a huge Carson fans student of
- 18:12Speaker 3: Johnny Carson. He loved it. It was great. Actually, Jimmy
- 18:15Speaker 3: fail will be with us tomorrow. We'll talk about it and.
- 18:18Speaker 12: Then any did you learn anything new or well, I'll take.
- 18:23Speaker 3: You why you got to read this book, Love Johnny Carson.
- 18:25Speaker 3: I knew everything. I spent my whole life studying Johnny Carson.
- 18:28Speaker 3: I knew everything there was to know. I read this
- 18:30Speaker 3: book and learned like ten thousand things I didn't know.
- 18:33Speaker 3: This guy, Mark Malcoff, best researcher ever, has come up
- 18:36Speaker 3: with stuff, little details, all sorts of stuff.
- 18:39Speaker 12: I listened to his podcast and I actually I've been
- 18:43Speaker 12: saving the one, the interview he does with you for
- 18:47Speaker 12: a long Ride, because I've listened to a lot of
- 18:50Speaker 12: the other ones. So, yeah, you know the one that.
- 18:52Speaker 3: You are and it started with he does the you
- 18:55Speaker 3: can get him right now worry. You get podcasts called
- 18:57Speaker 3: the Carson Podcast. He's interview Yes, every star that was
- 19:01Speaker 3: ever on Johnny Carson and everybody they ever worked there.
- 19:04Speaker 3: And it's fascinating the Carson Podcast.
- 19:07Speaker 12: Yes, some really obscure people that he spoke to.
- 19:10Speaker 3: Yeah, but sometimes the obscure ones, the guy that pulled
- 19:13Speaker 3: the curtain open for him. Sometimes those are the most
- 19:15Speaker 3: fascinating interviews. The stuff.
- 19:17Speaker 12: Absolutely absolutely.
- 19:20Speaker 3: All right, well, good stuff, Mike, thanks for calling. But
- 19:22Speaker 3: get the book. Love Johnny Carson. Listen to the Carson Podcast.
- 19:26Speaker 3: You'll love it. Let's go to Rich and Myrtle Beach. Rich,
- 19:29Speaker 3: how you.
- 19:29Speaker 6: Doing, Hey, Thanks, Mark appreciated. Good morning Vincent, Good morning
- 19:33Speaker 6: San Diego. I got my buddy Ray Geiga down here.
- 19:36Speaker 6: Came down for a week from Long Island for my
- 19:38Speaker 6: birthday Mark, and he says he can't wait to go
- 19:40Speaker 6: off the plane tomorrow and go check out this homeless
- 19:43Speaker 6: encampment twelve blocks. I can't believe something's gone that big.
- 19:46Speaker 9: Now.
- 19:47Speaker 6: My dad's going to be ninety nine in November. The
- 19:49Speaker 6: woman that comes in and spends five days a week
- 19:52Speaker 6: with him, Okay, she's got mistress or something.
- 19:57Speaker 9: No wish.
- 20:01Speaker 3: Good for it.
- 20:02Speaker 6: When I'm ninety nine. Maybe that's the episode. But this
- 20:04Speaker 6: woman has relatives up in Jersey who live next to
- 20:06Speaker 6: data center, and they said the noise at night that
- 20:10Speaker 6: these things produce. They shut them off during the day
- 20:11Speaker 6: so people don't complain, but at night you can't even sleep.
- 20:15Speaker 6: People have to run fans in their bedrooms to cover
- 20:17Speaker 6: the noise. These data centers are so loud. And the
- 20:20Speaker 6: other thing is you can always produce your electricity, but
- 20:22Speaker 6: a data center can't create your own water. They have
- 20:25Speaker 6: to tap into a water supply in the ground or
- 20:27Speaker 6: well or somewhere, so they are going to be using
- 20:30Speaker 6: the locals water.
- 20:31Speaker 3: Yeah, they'll figure it all out. They'll figure out how
- 20:32Speaker 3: to do southeast from but it's going to take a while.
- 20:34Speaker 3: That's why I don't mind a year moratorium for New
- 20:37Speaker 3: York State. But thanks for calling. Let's go to a
- 20:40Speaker 3: rich fair Lawn, New Jersey.
- 20:41Speaker 6: Rich.
- 20:42Speaker 5: How you doing good.
- 20:43Speaker 13: On good morning? And thank you Mark for taking my call.
- 20:47Speaker 13: I want to know why the stupidity of the people
- 20:51Speaker 13: by killing them shelves with these audibobiles. When you're pulled
- 20:55Speaker 13: over by a cop, why don't you pull on the
- 20:58Speaker 13: side at the road and they will talk to you
- 21:01Speaker 13: and tell you what's going on. No, they want to
- 21:03Speaker 13: be belligerent and what happens. The one in Maine, he
- 21:07Speaker 13: started driving around in circle well.
- 21:11Speaker 3: After he was shot. After he was shot, he was
- 21:13Speaker 3: I guess his foot was still on the gas and
- 21:15Speaker 3: it kept going around in circles. But he did try
- 21:17Speaker 3: to run the officers over. If you're illegal out there,
- 21:20Speaker 3: or any sort of criminal, I think you should just
- 21:23Speaker 3: start to realize this tactic of I'll run them over
- 21:26Speaker 3: with my car is not effective. In fact, everybody's tried.
- 21:30Speaker 3: It ends up with bullets in them. So I would
- 21:33Speaker 3: give up on that technique. If the cops are after you,
- 21:37Speaker 3: out of all the things you could do, trying to
- 21:39Speaker 3: run them down with your car, it's not it. It's
- 21:41Speaker 3: not effective, it doesn't work. Leave that tactic out. Hey.
- 21:44Speaker 3: When we come back, the brilliant Steve Forbes will be
- 21:47Speaker 3: with us. We'll talk to him about We'll talk to
- 21:50Speaker 3: him about that homeless camp of the shanty town. Also,
- 21:52Speaker 3: he's the expert on inflation. We just had the best
- 21:55Speaker 3: inflation report. We'll get to that and more coming up.
- 21:58Speaker 3: We'll get to Howard Stern later. All just ahead seven wr.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Mark Simo Live from the wr Life Back Studios.
- 22:10Speaker 3: Well, we bring you the smartest people on earth. Steve Forbes,
- 22:13Speaker 3: the chairman of Forbes Media and author of some great books,
- 22:16Speaker 3: Getty his latest book, Inflation by Steve Forbes. Go to
- 22:19Speaker 3: Amazon get the book Inflation. Of course, read Forbes and
- 22:23Speaker 3: learn a lot. Steve Forbes, How you doing doing fine?
- 22:28Speaker 3: Thank you?
- 22:29Speaker 5: Waiting for the big soccer matches? Sorry the US didn't
- 22:33Speaker 5: make it, but I, like many, I've become a soccer fan.
- 22:38Speaker 5: Never thought of what happened.
- 22:40Speaker 3: Well, I gotta be honest, I'm waiting for it to
- 22:42Speaker 3: be over Sunday night and everything to go back to normal,
- 22:45Speaker 3: and it's it's.
- 22:48Speaker 9: Oh.
- 22:48Speaker 5: By the way, Yankee won the MV in the All
- 22:53Speaker 5: Star Game last night, So maybe maybe that's a harbinger
- 22:56Speaker 5: that the Yankees will really get back the groove and
- 23:00Speaker 5: finally win a World Series, which will be essential for
- 23:03Speaker 5: saving civilization. You know, the last time the Yankees won
- 23:06Speaker 5: the World Series was two thousand and nine. Wow, the
- 23:09Speaker 5: world's been in trouble since then.
- 23:11Speaker 3: So how do you become a soccer fan? What am
- 23:13Speaker 3: I missing? It just seems that there's hardly any scoring.
- 23:16Speaker 3: It takes forever to run around in shorts. What am
- 23:20Speaker 3: I missing?
- 23:22Speaker 5: Well, it's like any sport, do you either get hooked
- 23:24Speaker 5: into it or not. A lot of people baseball as snoozeball,
- 23:29Speaker 5: a lot of people watching golf. It's like watching grass grow.
- 23:33Speaker 5: So it's just a matter of what it takes. So
- 23:37Speaker 5: who knows what gets us addicted?
- 23:40Speaker 3: Hey, you wrote the book Inflation. It's a great book.
- 23:43Speaker 3: Everybody should get it. But you literally wrote the book
- 23:45Speaker 3: on the subject. This report this week looks like we've
- 23:48Speaker 3: got inflation under control, doesn't it.
- 23:52Speaker 5: It does indeed, and both the DPI, the consumer Price
- 23:56Speaker 5: Index and producer price Index both going in the right
- 23:59Speaker 5: direction now. And I wish the president would warn this.
- 24:04Speaker 5: As long as they've got the Ranian crisis brewing, you
- 24:07Speaker 5: could see a spike again in oil and gas prices.
- 24:10Speaker 5: But I think we've already seen that. Eventually, that's going
- 24:13Speaker 5: to be resolved one way or the other. But we've
- 24:15Speaker 5: already seen that when things cool down, the prices come down.
- 24:20Speaker 5: And one of the things to keep in mind, and
- 24:21Speaker 5: the rest of that index is other than beef, food
- 24:24Speaker 5: prices have stabilized and some have come down. We've seen
- 24:27Speaker 5: with eggs and so it seems to be calming down,
- 24:31Speaker 5: and hopefully the President will be able to and the
- 24:34Speaker 5: Republicans will learn how to make that a positive issue
- 24:37Speaker 5: in the fall. And Kevin Walsh, in his testimony yesterday
- 24:41Speaker 5: and I'm sure he's going to do it again today,
- 24:44Speaker 5: has made it clear that the federal reserve certain things
- 24:47Speaker 5: they cannot control, like the war with Iran, but they're
- 24:50Speaker 5: not going to where They're going to look for a
- 24:53Speaker 5: stability of the dollar rather than trying to manipulate the economy.
- 24:57Speaker 5: And boy, even though it sounds nerdy and and all
- 25:00Speaker 5: that kind of stuff, that is the President say huge
- 25:03Speaker 5: in the future, you're not going to have an unaccounted
- 25:06Speaker 5: body messing around with the economy.
- 25:09Speaker 3: Hey, you know, the warn Iran maybe drives the price
- 25:13Speaker 3: of oil of five to ten cents, but I don't
- 25:16Speaker 3: think most people are aware two three dollars of that
- 25:19Speaker 3: price is Democrats, regulations and fees and all that stuff. Well,
- 25:23Speaker 3: why can't Republicans make that clear to everybody?
- 25:27Speaker 5: Well, what they should do is say the extreme of
- 25:29Speaker 5: it is California, where you know the national average for
- 25:33Speaker 5: gas is about what three eighty nine, My neck of
- 25:36Speaker 5: the woods is about four ten four. In California, it's
- 25:40Speaker 5: five and a half six dollars. And just get a
- 25:43Speaker 5: little chart showing how much of that is the real
- 25:46Speaker 5: price and how much of it is taxes and regulation,
- 25:50Speaker 5: and say, these socialists want to make it even worse.
- 25:53Speaker 5: And you're absolutely right. Most of the gas so much
- 25:56Speaker 5: of the gas price is taxes and regulation. By the way,
- 26:00Speaker 5: New Jersey once that the lowest, one of the lowest
- 26:02Speaker 5: gas prices in the country, and then several years ago
- 26:06Speaker 5: they changed the formula on the on the gasoline tax,
- 26:09Speaker 5: so it keeps going up and up and up automatically,
- 26:12Speaker 5: so the legislators don't have to do anything, but the
- 26:15Speaker 5: price always goes up at the pump.
- 26:17Speaker 3: Yeah, so you know democrats will when tariffs came along,
- 26:21Speaker 3: Democrats screaming about tariffs. Democrats put tariffs on everything. They
- 26:26Speaker 3: call it corporate tax increase. But isn't that the same
- 26:29Speaker 3: as a tariff.
- 26:30Speaker 5: Yes, the tariff is a tax, and the Democrats love
- 26:35Speaker 5: any tax they can get their hands on. And the
- 26:38Speaker 5: taxes not just direct taxes, but also regulation. And you
- 26:44Speaker 5: look at the New York are the dear governor there
- 26:47Speaker 5: is announced that no more artificial no more centers, data centers,
- 26:52Speaker 5: and that's the kind of thing New York did. Years ago.
- 26:55Speaker 5: Pennsylvania went all in for fracking, New York have banned it.
- 26:59Speaker 5: So Sylvania has literally gotten billions and billions, over ten
- 27:03Speaker 5: billion fifteen billion dollars of extra revenue from the fracking,
- 27:08Speaker 5: and New York just peaks piling on taxes and any
- 27:13Speaker 5: good activity like an AI center out in the middle
- 27:16Speaker 5: of nowhere they banned. So it's absolutely perverse. And by
- 27:20Speaker 5: the way, we were discussing earlier about the affordability crisis,
- 27:25Speaker 5: isn't it a coincidence? Is it a coincidence that the
- 27:28Speaker 5: highest costs in the country are in states run by Democrats.
- 27:32Speaker 3: Who caused the affordability crisis? New York has been run
- 27:35Speaker 3: by Democrats for twenty years.
- 27:37Speaker 5: Yes it has. It was New York City. And as
- 27:40Speaker 5: we pointed out before, New York and Florida has a
- 27:43Speaker 5: bigger population than New York and yet the budget is
- 27:47Speaker 5: a fraction of that of New York. How does that happen?
- 27:50Speaker 5: As Florida is suddenly a place where people are starving
- 27:53Speaker 5: and nobody gets an education and dying, no thriving place
- 27:58Speaker 5: with a budget that is a less than half of that.
- 28:00Speaker 3: Of New York, Hey, Steve Forbes. By the data centers,
- 28:05Speaker 3: there is some kind of concern about them using up
- 28:08Speaker 3: too much electricity and water in certain areas until they
- 28:11Speaker 3: figure that out. Isn't it good to have a little
- 28:13Speaker 3: hold on this for a while until we figure that out.
- 28:16Speaker 5: Well, you figure it out case by case. Data center
- 28:19Speaker 5: may be work in one area not in another area.
- 28:23Speaker 5: So you like automobiles, they can pose problems, but you
- 28:27Speaker 5: figure out how to deal with specific problems. And just
- 28:31Speaker 5: as you wouldn't put a nuclear power plant in Times Square,
- 28:37Speaker 5: you pick and choose where you put these things. Because
- 28:41Speaker 5: the whole AI thing is has profound promise. We all
- 28:45Speaker 5: know that they're going to be downsides with anything, but
- 28:47Speaker 5: one of the areas of great promise is vastly increasing
- 28:52Speaker 5: how fast we can get new drugs and new medical
- 28:54Speaker 5: devices to market. Instead of waiting ten or twelve years,
- 28:58Speaker 5: we can start being getting him in a matter of
- 29:00Speaker 5: weeks or months. And my age, I think that's a
- 29:03Speaker 5: splendid thing. I don't want to be told, well, we
- 29:06Speaker 5: can deal with this in fifteen years. No, we want
- 29:09Speaker 5: it now.
- 29:12Speaker 3: Hey, there's a homeless camp that goes for about twelve blocks. Now,
- 29:15Speaker 3: it's on the west side, right near the Intrepid. It's
- 29:18Speaker 3: a shanty town twelve blocks long. It's been in the
- 29:22Speaker 3: news for days and days. Yet the mayor, Mom Donnie,
- 29:25Speaker 3: does nothing about it. What does that tell us about him?
- 29:28Speaker 5: What it tells us he's got the same mindset that
- 29:31Speaker 5: works such miracles in Los Angeles. Yeah, we have a
- 29:35Speaker 5: huge problem, and we know what you do, you don't
- 29:38Speaker 5: let them come into existence. But he's handcuffed the police
- 29:42Speaker 5: on it. And I think the nice thing is we're
- 29:46Speaker 5: a media area and just say here's what socialism brings
- 29:50Speaker 5: you and start shaming him. And another thing we should
- 29:54Speaker 5: start doing is he's the biggest slum lord in the country.
- 29:58Speaker 5: Start going to some of these glorious communal apartments that
- 30:01Speaker 5: he's in charge of, where you have rats running around
- 30:05Speaker 5: and water not running and maintenance problems, and say this
- 30:08Speaker 5: is what he's in charge of. You want more of that?
- 30:12Speaker 5: Vote for those kinds of people. Well, yeah, but we
- 30:14Speaker 5: did that in LA and put the spotlight on all that.
- 30:17Speaker 5: San Francisco, yet they still keep electing these crazies. What
- 30:20Speaker 5: do you do about the Well, San Francisco actually elected
- 30:22Speaker 5: a mayor who's a semi adult and has already had
- 30:26Speaker 5: some positive impact on that benighted area. And in Los Angeles.
- 30:32Speaker 5: I don't like to sound like a conspiracy guy, but
- 30:35Speaker 5: that mayorll election, suddenly tens of thousands of votes come
- 30:39Speaker 5: for this socialist out of nowhere, like voting manna from
- 30:43Speaker 5: heaven for a socialist. Where did that come from? And
- 30:46Speaker 5: we already know the stories of having these homeless shelters
- 30:50Speaker 5: with one hundred and thirty beds and over one thousand
- 30:52Speaker 5: registered voters there. Come on, there's massive fraud there, and
- 30:56Speaker 5: I'm glad finally they're going to get a serious investigation
- 30:59Speaker 5: of that. I think Pratt won second place he should
- 31:03Speaker 5: have been on the November ballot in an honest election.
- 31:06Speaker 3: Good point. Yeah, San Francisco, you got voters waking up
- 31:10Speaker 3: to what's going on, and we probably did in La
- 31:13Speaker 3: We we just got cheated out of it. But these
- 31:17Speaker 3: Democratic leaders, the Schumers, the Pelosis, why did they surrender
- 31:21Speaker 3: their party to these lunatics. Why didn't they stand up
- 31:23Speaker 3: and fight to keep their party. I think they were intimidated.
- 31:29Speaker 3: And it's amazing, And this is why we must glorify
- 31:34Speaker 3: our independence and constitution, is that we saw what happened
- 31:41Speaker 3: in Russia in nineteen seventeen. A determined group of fanatics
- 31:45Speaker 3: can take something over if you don't resist it. And
- 31:48Speaker 3: the Democrats didn't resist. When AOC won in twenty eighteen
- 31:52Speaker 3: against the long entrench congressman, the party thought, oh my god,
- 31:57Speaker 3: the activists are going to come after. They're going to primary.
- 32:01Speaker 3: So it's out of fear, not numbers, but out of fear.
- 32:05Speaker 3: And so the disease has grown. By the way, in Colorado,
- 32:09Speaker 3: where you had an upset of a veteran congressperson from
- 32:12Speaker 3: a socialist radical socialist Colorado, the far left there has
- 32:18Speaker 3: got no publicity. While Republicans were content to go along
- 32:21Speaker 3: nominating candidates blah blah blah, they were organizing the state,
- 32:25Speaker 3: figure out where the voters were, how to do ballot harvesting.
- 32:29Speaker 3: For several years they worked the machinery the politics of
- 32:32Speaker 3: that state. In turn of state that was mildly read
- 32:36Speaker 3: into a blue stronghold by getting control of the Democrat party.
- 32:40Speaker 3: And so that's why I had that flip in Colorado.
- 32:43Speaker 3: So we on the other side have to do the
- 32:45Speaker 3: same thing, that nitty gritty work of voter by voter.
- 32:49Speaker 5: What these fanatics did they can be turned back. They're
- 32:52Speaker 5: not the majority Americans don't want this kind of stuff.
- 32:55Speaker 5: Most Americans. Good point.
- 32:57Speaker 3: Well, Steve Forbes brilliant as always. Everybody get as late
- 32:59Speaker 3: as this book Inflation. You'll love the book. You'll learn
- 33:02Speaker 3: a lot. And also, of course read Forbes and Steve Forbes.
- 33:06Speaker 3: Thanks for being with us. Good to be with you, Mark,
- 33:09Speaker 3: Thank you, keep up the great fight. Thanks take care
- 33:13Speaker 3: Hey coming up at noon, Buck Sexton and Clay Travis
- 33:15Speaker 3: will be with us. Then you got the most listened
- 33:17Speaker 3: to radio show in America, Sean Hannity and every night
- 33:20Speaker 3: at nine, nine to midnight, a very funny show. Jimmy Fayala,
- 33:24Speaker 3: he's here on seven to ten. WR Back to Mars Simon. Well,
- 33:31Speaker 3: a very hot day to day, although not as hot
- 33:34Speaker 3: as they had predicted. They were talking about ninety eight.
- 33:35Speaker 3: Ninety nine now looks more like ninety six. I guess
- 33:39Speaker 3: that's better. But just be careful today out there and
- 33:42Speaker 3: all of that. He coming up in the next hour.
- 33:44Speaker 3: We'll get to Howard Stern, who's now in his final chapter.
- 33:48Speaker 3: We'll get to Egen Carrol Daylight Saving Time and a
- 33:52Speaker 3: whole lot more lots to talk about and one more
- 33:54Speaker 3: hour to go, and we'll get to it right after
- 33:56Speaker 3: the news. Mark Simone here on seven to ten.
- 33:59Speaker 2: Wo are always a step ahead of the news. Here's more,
- 34:03Speaker 2: Marks Amone on seven to TENR.
- 34:09Speaker 3: Well, lots of stuff developing here. It looks like Howard
- 34:14Speaker 3: Stern is winding it down, the final chapter the Howard
- 34:17Speaker 3: Stern Show. You know, I'm serious, for many many, many
- 34:22Speaker 3: many years, huge contract, one hundred million a year. Well
- 34:26Speaker 3: that's when he first went over there. It was one
- 34:27Speaker 3: hundred million a year for five years, five hundred million
- 34:30Speaker 3: dollar contract. And then through the years, you know, the
- 34:37Speaker 3: audience has been getting smaller, and then Howard Stern goes
- 34:40Speaker 3: completely nuts a few years ago, becomes this woke left
- 34:43Speaker 3: wing sort of a guy, alienating a lot of his audience,
- 34:47Speaker 3: a lot of his audience. So he went from Trump
- 34:52Speaker 3: lover Trump, friend at Trump's wedding, Trump at his wedding,
- 35:00Speaker 3: that kind of stuff, to the worst Trump bashing. Now
- 35:05Speaker 3: there's a lot of theories on how that happened. A
- 35:08Speaker 3: lot of people think that there's a lot of resentment
- 35:14Speaker 3: because Trump kind of stole Howard Stern's act. He didn't
- 35:18Speaker 3: really steal it. He's just the same kind of guys
- 35:22Speaker 3: that grew up the same kind of way, so they
- 35:23Speaker 3: have the same personality. But if you can't understand Trump,
- 35:27Speaker 3: like I love when he does it, but why does
- 35:29Speaker 3: he have to say these things? Why does he have
- 35:32Speaker 3: to do that? Well, he's Howard Stern, He's basically Howard Stern,
- 35:35Speaker 3: and he's stolen Stern's act and become more famous at
- 35:39Speaker 3: doing that act than Howard Stern has. I think a
- 35:42Speaker 3: lot of the resentment comes from that because I remember
- 35:46Speaker 3: Howard Stern, king of all media, and then Trump became
- 35:49Speaker 3: king of all media, and he does what Stern does,
- 35:52Speaker 3: you know, brilliant, and then every so often says something
- 35:55Speaker 3: absolutely outrageous that you can't believe anybody would say. So
- 35:58Speaker 3: I think that's part of the sudden Trump hatred. Now,
- 36:03Speaker 3: Stern one hundred million a year, but then you know,
- 36:06Speaker 3: it became eighty million a year, and then became sixty,
- 36:08Speaker 3: and then it became forty, and then it maybe it
- 36:11Speaker 3: became twenty million. Well, in exchange for big pay cuts,
- 36:15Speaker 3: he would just do less. He went to three days
- 36:18Speaker 3: a week instead of five days a week, and then
- 36:21Speaker 3: he went to forty weeks a year instead of fifty
- 36:24Speaker 3: two then it went to like twenty five weeks a
- 36:27Speaker 3: year instead of fifty two. So the audiences really really
- 36:32Speaker 3: really really dwindled on the Howard Stern Show, so they
- 36:34Speaker 3: can't pay him that kind of money anymore. So with
- 36:37Speaker 3: this latest contract, it's a huge, huge pay cut. It's
- 36:42Speaker 3: way down from what it was. So in exchange, he
- 36:46Speaker 3: will only do one day a week, just one day
- 36:50Speaker 3: a week now. Part of the last pay cut is
- 36:53Speaker 3: we'd take the whole summer off, three months off. But
- 36:58Speaker 3: this contract, I think it starts at labor Day, will
- 37:02Speaker 3: be one day a week. That's it, just one day
- 37:06Speaker 3: a week now. Because of the big, huge pay cuts,
- 37:10Speaker 3: they have to cut staff because Howard Stern pays the
- 37:13Speaker 3: staff out of his own pocket. So yeah, it'll begin
- 37:16Speaker 3: labor Day. They had a Zoom meeting yesterday where they
- 37:19Speaker 3: laid off a lot of the staff, actually fired a
- 37:21Speaker 3: lot of the staff. They all got good severance packages
- 37:25Speaker 3: and all that, depending on how long they were with
- 37:27Speaker 3: the company. Some were bigger than others. But they let
- 37:31Speaker 3: a lot of people go, a lot of staff, a
- 37:33Speaker 3: lot of producers, a lot of people on the show.
- 37:36Speaker 3: They'll keep it, says the core team of veteran producers.
- 37:39Speaker 3: I assume that means Fred Gary that sort of stuff,
- 37:42Speaker 3: but really really scaling back one day a week. His
- 37:47Speaker 3: wife Beth, in an interview, said, I think it's good
- 37:49Speaker 3: for him to continue. He enjoys doing it, he's very
- 37:54Speaker 3: good at it. I think it keeps him connected to
- 37:57Speaker 3: an outlet to share his thoughts, which is great except
- 38:00Speaker 3: when they're those Trump bashing thoughts. But now the channel
- 38:05Speaker 3: will continue. There'll still be a Howard Stern channel, but
- 38:08Speaker 3: most of the time, most days of the week, in fact,
- 38:11Speaker 3: just about all the time, it'll be reruns. It'll be archives,
- 38:15Speaker 3: and there's a lot of Stern archives, and for some
- 38:20Speaker 3: people normally, well just reruns I don't want to hear. Well,
- 38:23Speaker 3: in this case, it's actually better because it's the old
- 38:26Speaker 3: Howard Stern, the good Howard Stern, not the new woke,
- 38:30Speaker 3: left wing, woke Howard Stern. It's the old Howard Stern.
- 38:33Speaker 3: So this may work out better for the audience, but
- 38:36Speaker 3: I don't know how you can do that. So it's
- 38:37Speaker 3: one day a week. It's sort of the last chapter.
- 38:44Speaker 3: Everybody kind of knows that the next contract it'll become
- 38:48Speaker 3: something else. He'll switch to. Actually he should switch to him,
- 38:51Speaker 3: you know, once a week at Joe Rogan type podcast thing.
- 38:54Speaker 3: But for now, he'll just hobble along and finish this off. Hey,
- 38:58Speaker 3: the other woke wing kook, Jimmy Kimmel, there's another one
- 39:04Speaker 3: that's taken the whole summer off. I've never heard of
- 39:06Speaker 3: that on a late night talk show. Take the entire
- 39:08Speaker 3: summer off. I'll take a few months off. I think
- 39:10Speaker 3: he's got some medical concerns. I notice he's been taking
- 39:16Speaker 3: care of some medicals, so maybe that's one reason to
- 39:19Speaker 3: take all that time off. But he's had these guest hos,
- 39:25Speaker 3: really awful guess host and one of them, Ike Barenholtz.
- 39:31Speaker 3: He's the guest hose he's filling and starts joking about
- 39:34Speaker 3: Lindsey Graham's death. Also made fun of Mitch McConnell's health scare.
- 39:39Speaker 3: I hope he gets the same healthcare he's fought so
- 39:41Speaker 3: hard to deny everyone else. But again, jokes about Lindsey
- 39:46Speaker 3: Graham's death. And he even said in the middle of
- 39:49Speaker 3: all of these jokes, well, I guess we're going to
- 39:51Speaker 3: get the show pulled off the air again. But that's
- 39:54Speaker 3: what Kimmel has turned into fallon. Still the most norm
- 40:00Speaker 3: all of these guys, but can't help. You got to
- 40:02Speaker 3: lean way to the left. You got to get into
- 40:04Speaker 3: the Trump bashing if you want to last. The replacement
- 40:08Speaker 3: for Colbert's not doing so well. It's that Byron Allen
- 40:11Speaker 3: comics Unleashed. Problem is it's a very low budget, low
- 40:14Speaker 3: production kind of a show. But they're doing about seven
- 40:18Speaker 3: hundred thousand viewers a night. It's not great. But again Fallin.
- 40:23Speaker 3: I mean Colbert didn't do that well either. He was
- 40:26Speaker 3: like one point two to one point three million. Hey,
- 40:29Speaker 3: what do you think of this daylight saving time year round?
- 40:31Speaker 3: I'm all for it. So the House passed it. The
- 40:36Speaker 3: US House Representatives passed it's called the Sunshine Protection Act,
- 40:40Speaker 3: which would make daylight saving time permanent. It would just
- 40:45Speaker 3: be year round. The US House of Representatives passed. It
- 40:48Speaker 3: has to go on to the Senate. The President is
- 40:50Speaker 3: for it. It would make a daylight saving time permanent.
- 40:54Speaker 3: That means, for instance, in New York, the earliest you
- 40:59Speaker 3: would ever get dark be five point thirty, which is
- 41:02Speaker 3: pretty good, instead of four point thirty now. At the
- 41:06Speaker 3: same time, it would be dark until eight twenty in
- 41:08Speaker 3: the morning instead of seven to twenty. But I don't mind.
- 41:11Speaker 3: I'm not up at eight twenty in the morning. It's
- 41:13Speaker 3: fine with me. Now certain, I guess states have to
- 41:17Speaker 3: go along with it. They don't have to follow it.
- 41:20Speaker 3: But eighteen states have already passed bill saying they will
- 41:24Speaker 3: do it. They'll do permanent daylight saving time. Kathy Hochel
- 41:30Speaker 3: has said she's not sure. She's got to look at it,
- 41:33Speaker 3: which means she's got a pole it. She's got to
- 41:35Speaker 3: see who it's going to help her more. But I
- 41:38Speaker 3: think you'll see it eventually. The Egene Carol case, now
- 41:43Speaker 3: this was a terrible, terrible injustice, this whole thing. There's
- 41:47Speaker 3: nobody in their right mind that believes this woman. Nobody
- 41:50Speaker 3: believes this Egen Carol, this crazy story about Trump in
- 41:54Speaker 3: the dressing room at Bergdorff, the women's story. You talk
- 41:57Speaker 3: to everybody who worked in the women's store back then,
- 42:00Speaker 3: Donald Trump never set foot in that store, according to them,
- 42:03Speaker 3: And if you talk to Bergdraft management, he did go
- 42:07Speaker 3: to the men's store twice. But it's their policy whenever
- 42:10Speaker 3: anybody that noted walks in, a manager accompanies them, a
- 42:15Speaker 3: salesperson stays with them at all times. So nobody believes
- 42:18Speaker 3: this Egen Carroll story. But she got it in front
- 42:21Speaker 3: of a crazy Trump hating New York jury and they
- 42:24Speaker 3: couldn't vote guilty fast enough. So she won her case
- 42:28Speaker 3: civil case, and she was asking, I think for eleven
- 42:32Speaker 3: million dollars. The jury decided to give her eighty three million,
- 42:38Speaker 3: which is ludicrous, preposterous. Nobody in the history of the
- 42:41Speaker 3: court has ever seen a jury go that crazy, and
- 42:45Speaker 3: whatever the person was asking for, give them eight times
- 42:49Speaker 3: as much. Nobody's ever seen that. So it's absolutely ridiculous.
- 42:52Speaker 3: Trump did not know Egen Carroll.
- 42:54Speaker 6: I know.
- 42:54Speaker 3: I heard on the news somebody said he denied knowing her.
- 42:57Speaker 3: But pictures prove otherwise. No, that's not true. It's not
- 43:00Speaker 3: true at all. She has a picture where she's in
- 43:03Speaker 3: a Trump is at a movie premiere and there's a
- 43:07Speaker 3: rope line and he's shaking hands with people, taking pictures
- 43:10Speaker 3: with them in the line. Doesn't mean you know them.
- 43:13Speaker 3: I mean, there's plenty of people, celebrities who you can
- 43:17Speaker 3: meet somewhere. Can I get a picture? Sure, you take
- 43:19Speaker 3: a picture. It doesn't mean you know them. You saw
- 43:21Speaker 3: him for thirteen seconds and you never saw him again.
- 43:24Speaker 3: That doesn't mean you know them. He didn't know. He
- 43:27Speaker 3: didn't really even know her husband, but he liked her husband.
- 43:29Speaker 3: Her husband was the great newscaster John Johnson, really good guy,
- 43:35Speaker 3: but he was married to this wacko. I don't really
- 43:38Speaker 3: know her. I've been with her a few times. Egene Carol,
- 43:40Speaker 3: a real wacky, wacko type. So there was also a
- 43:46Speaker 3: five point six million dollar penalty that she was awarded
- 43:50Speaker 3: and Trump had to put that in escro it's been
- 43:52Speaker 3: held in escrow. Well, it was finally released to her
- 43:55Speaker 3: because he appealed that whole thing to the Supreme Court
- 43:59Speaker 3: and the Supreme Court. He peeled it all the way
- 44:01Speaker 3: up to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court refused to
- 44:04Speaker 3: hear Trump on the case, so that finished that. So
- 44:09Speaker 3: the five point six million was a release to her yesterday.
- 44:13Speaker 3: Now what about that eighty three million, Well, he's got
- 44:15Speaker 3: to keep trying to get that to the Supreme Court,
- 44:18Speaker 3: and the fact that they turned down the other case
- 44:20Speaker 3: doesn't make it look good for this. So she could
- 44:22Speaker 3: end up with that money. It's very possible. It's a
- 44:25Speaker 3: wacko lawsuit. She was financed by that billionaire Reid Hoffman,
- 44:29Speaker 3: who was out to get Trump, so he financed the
- 44:32Speaker 3: case got her all the best lawyers. They again, you'd
- 44:35Speaker 3: done this case anywhere else, she would never have won.
- 44:39Speaker 3: She couldn't tell you what year this was. She couldn't
- 44:41Speaker 3: tell you anything. Also, this story she told was the
- 44:44Speaker 3: plot of a Law and Order episode. So very suspicious case.
- 44:50Speaker 3: But she got it in front of a crazy New
- 44:53Speaker 3: York jury and that's how she went. Now, what about
- 44:55Speaker 3: that eighty three million Well, Trump actually posted a ninety
- 44:59Speaker 3: one million dollar bond guaranteed by Chubb, that's his insurance company.
- 45:04Speaker 3: Now they may have to pay part of this judgment too.
- 45:06Speaker 3: They're the insurance company insuring them. So legionnaire's disease, well,
- 45:13Speaker 3: it's something to be concerned about. All over the Upper
- 45:16Speaker 3: east Side, turned up even at the Guggenheim Museum, and
- 45:19Speaker 3: yesterday it turned up at the met the Metropolitan Museum.
- 45:23Speaker 3: Legionaire's disease in the water cooler, the cooling tower. It's
- 45:28Speaker 3: being cleaned out. They think everybody's safe in the museum.
- 45:32Speaker 3: They've now inspected fifty two cooling towers on the Upper
- 45:36Speaker 3: east Side. That's not a lot for a week. I mean,
- 45:38Speaker 3: you should be doing thirty a day. Of these fifty
- 45:41Speaker 3: two have been inspected. Two cases have turned up on
- 45:44Speaker 3: the Upper West Side. It's got a lot of people frightened.
- 45:49Speaker 3: Those horse and carriages in Central Park City Council hearings
- 45:53Speaker 3: today to get rid of them. A lot of people
- 45:55Speaker 3: pushing to get rid of the horse and carriages. I
- 45:57Speaker 3: don't know. Definitely keep them off the streets, just strictly
- 46:02Speaker 3: in the park. Nowhere but the park. They should never
- 46:04Speaker 3: be out in the regular streets, totally screwing up traffic.
- 46:08Speaker 3: And I think the first thing we got to do
- 46:11Speaker 3: is get rid of those petty cabs. Those are the
- 46:13Speaker 3: most awful things clogging up the streets. They're all over
- 46:16Speaker 3: the streets blocking traffic. Get rid of the petty cabs first,
- 46:21Speaker 3: and then the horses encurriages. Hey, Warren Buffett, you know
- 46:28Speaker 3: put money into the Gates Foundation, a lot of money, like,
- 46:30Speaker 3: I don't know, like eighty billion dollars. In fact, he
- 46:35Speaker 3: decided that for all of his philanthropy, all of his charity,
- 46:40Speaker 3: he would just give it all to the Gates Foundation.
- 46:42Speaker 3: He said years ago that he trusted them to know
- 46:46Speaker 3: who to give it to. And he said that's usually
- 46:49Speaker 3: what he does. He finds the smartest experts and lets
- 46:52Speaker 3: them do the stuff. So for charity work, he was
- 46:55Speaker 3: going to give it all the Gates Foundation, many many, many,
- 46:58Speaker 3: many billions. Well he's decided not to do that. He's
- 47:05Speaker 3: changed his thinking on that, not going to go to
- 47:07Speaker 3: the Gates Foundation, going to put it elsewhere, and all
- 47:10Speaker 3: of that because of Epstein. Gates tangled up with Epstein.
- 47:15Speaker 3: Gates had that whole story. But why I went there
- 47:18Speaker 3: for a meeting about a charity donation, Well turned out
- 47:20Speaker 3: he went there a lot and when he was there,
- 47:22Speaker 3: he was there for eight hours and he was there
- 47:24Speaker 3: till midnight. And that's not a charity meeting. So Buffett,
- 47:28Speaker 3: even though he's been friends with Gates for years, although
- 47:31Speaker 3: that friendship may have been exaggerated a lot, has decided
- 47:36Speaker 3: after reading all this stuff about Bill Gates and Epstein,
- 47:40Speaker 3: to put his money elsewhere. It's that thing called the
- 47:44Speaker 3: It's an irrevocable pledge to donate his shares, but those
- 47:49Speaker 3: irrevocable giving play. You can revoke him if you need to.
- 47:53Speaker 3: Buffett informed Gates the other day, and then he said
- 47:58Speaker 3: he had a brief talk with Gates, and he said
- 48:01Speaker 3: he understood, but he wants to talk again further, so
- 48:04Speaker 3: they'll have another conversation. And it's interesting he said in
- 48:08Speaker 3: that interview, whenever we talk, he's the one that initiates
- 48:13Speaker 3: the call. So he's basically admitting he's never called Bill
- 48:16Speaker 3: Gates in his life. It's always Gates calling him. So
- 48:19Speaker 3: we'll see if Gates can salvage this. Hey, JP Morgan,
- 48:24Speaker 3: JP Morgan Chase greatest bank in the world, run by
- 48:27Speaker 3: probably the greatest CEO in America, Jamie Diamond. Just set
- 48:30Speaker 3: a record biggest profit ever for a US bank last quarter,
- 48:35Speaker 3: all time record profit. Now most of that was SpaceX
- 48:38Speaker 3: because they were involved in the SpaceX ipo, so a
- 48:41Speaker 3: lot of that came from that. And we talked to
- 48:43Speaker 3: Steve Forbes earlier. He wrote the book Inflation, and we
- 48:47Speaker 3: just had this great inflation report. It dropped and it
- 48:52Speaker 3: was actually the biggest drop in six years. Falling energy
- 48:56Speaker 3: prices helped, so great news. Hey, we'll take some calls.
- 48:59Speaker 3: Next hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 49:04Speaker 3: Eight hundred three two one zero seven tens.
- 49:08Speaker 2: Here's more, Mark Simone on devend Wry.
- 49:15Speaker 3: Let's say some calls. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 49:20Speaker 3: seven ten is number. Let's go to Frank In Arizona, Frank,
- 49:22Speaker 3: how you doing.
- 49:24Speaker 9: Oh, Mark, Mark, we have the same thing out here.
- 49:27Speaker 9: You've got New York. We have a place called the Zone.
- 49:29Speaker 9: It's just blocks and blocks of blue tarp and it's
- 49:33Speaker 9: homeless everywhere. And the sad thing is the dog is
- 49:36Speaker 9: they have to give the dogs these little pants otherwise
- 49:39Speaker 9: they burn their feet when they walk down the street
- 49:41Speaker 9: because the street's so hot, and they're doing nothing to
- 49:43Speaker 9: get rid of them. They're just homeless people everywhere.
- 49:46Speaker 3: And where are you in Arizona?
- 49:48Speaker 12: Phoenix?
- 49:49Speaker 3: Phoenix, Phoenix has a big homeless problem. That's gonna be
- 49:52Speaker 3: the one.
- 49:53Speaker 9: Oh god. Yeah, they're everywhere. They're at every stoplight. It's
- 49:57Speaker 9: like New York when before Giuliani got in, you know,
- 49:59Speaker 9: the looking for money that's squeege in your windows. It's
- 50:02Speaker 9: the worst place them.
- 50:04Speaker 3: The worst place to be homeless, like one hundred and
- 50:06Speaker 3: twenty degrees outside in Phoenix right now.
- 50:08Speaker 9: I don't know how to do it, man. I tell
- 50:10Speaker 9: them all the time, when you go get a job,
- 50:11Speaker 9: you'd be working inside words a condition, But they don't
- 50:14Speaker 9: want to work.
- 50:14Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, well thanks for calling. It's everywhere. We'll
- 50:18Speaker 3: get to a shantytown. The Mondani shantytown. In a few minutes,
- 50:23Speaker 3: let's go to Steven old Beth Page. Steve, how you doing, Yeah,
- 50:28Speaker 3: I Mark.
- 50:29Speaker 9: I just want to say, the best pizza in New York,
- 50:31Speaker 9: and my opinion is Spaloni Gardens.
- 50:34Speaker 12: It's LL and B on eighty six Street.
- 50:36Speaker 3: It's good, it's good.
- 50:37Speaker 9: It's not you get a chance.
- 50:39Speaker 1: You get a chance, s Vincent about it.
- 50:43Speaker 12: It's not the best.
- 50:45Speaker 3: It's a it's a landmark place. It's not the best.
- 50:47Speaker 3: Dafara is better, John Za Bleaker is better. There's a lot,
- 50:51Speaker 3: there's better people.
- 50:52Speaker 12: You talk.
- 50:53Speaker 9: You talk about waiting online when you go to it
- 50:55Speaker 9: doesn't matter if it's summer or winter, you're gonna wait online.
- 50:59Speaker 12: It's really it's really great pizza.
- 51:00Speaker 6: I've had all great.
- 51:03Speaker 3: It's not the best, but it's great. It's great, and
- 51:05Speaker 3: it's all right.
- 51:05Speaker 9: But you asked as to what happened to the owner
- 51:08Speaker 9: when he wouldn't give up the recipe.
- 51:10Speaker 12: They killed him.
- 51:12Speaker 9: I'm sure, Vincent, I.
- 51:13Speaker 3: Know that's story. I know that's story. Yes, Pimoni Gardens
- 51:15Speaker 3: the landmark in Brooklyn, legendary place. Very good pizza, not
- 51:20Speaker 3: the best. There's if you watch Dave Portnoy. You've seen
- 51:23Speaker 3: all the best. There's about ten that are in the
- 51:26Speaker 3: like the best of New York again, Barstool Pizza, One bite,
- 51:34Speaker 3: Dave Portnoy. You can see where the best are. Let's
- 51:37Speaker 3: go to Mike in Parsipity. Mike, how you doing, Hilely Mark.
- 51:42Speaker 14: A couple of days ago, you were talking about how
- 51:45Speaker 14: dairy queens were closing up in Alaska. Yeah, and it
- 51:49Speaker 14: reminded me of a cartoons where the guys in Valley Forge,
- 51:54Speaker 14: the troops in Valley Forge were freezing to death, and
- 51:58Speaker 14: along comes an ice cream truck in the shout it up.
- 52:00Speaker 12: Do you remember that one?
- 52:01Speaker 14: No?
- 52:03Speaker 9: Oh had some.
- 52:05Speaker 3: Weird calls this time. Now. I never understood how dairy
- 52:09Speaker 3: queen could even open in Alaska. You're in the middle
- 52:12Speaker 3: of an igloo and an iceberg, and it's there's an avalanche.
- 52:15Speaker 3: Who even thinks of ice cream? It'd be like selling
- 52:17Speaker 3: hot chocolate in the middle of the desert in Arizona.
- 52:20Speaker 3: Let's go to Josh and New Orschelle. Josh, how you doing.
- 52:24Speaker 15: Oh, I'm Mark.
- 52:25Speaker 13: There's a million good pizza places in New York City.
- 52:28Speaker 13: You would invite a hundred million.
- 52:31Speaker 1: Illegals and dirt wills to America.
- 52:33Speaker 14: You have a third world country. Forget it, it's Solva.
- 52:35Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, let's go to uh Walter in Massachusetts. Walter,
- 52:38Speaker 3: how you doing.
- 52:40Speaker 6: Yeah, good day, Mark.
- 52:41Speaker 5: I have a seek your comment on whenever they mentioned
- 52:45Speaker 5: boots on the ground and Iran to really put this
- 52:48Speaker 5: sport to an end, they.
- 52:49Speaker 12: Always say the US troops.
- 52:51Speaker 5: I never heard any really discussion on why are they only.
- 52:54Speaker 14: Considering a US troops when Iran or UAE or all
- 52:57Speaker 14: the other countries that want to put this regime to a.
- 53:00Speaker 3: Well, you bring up a good point. It's very good
- 53:01Speaker 3: point when they say boots on the ground. I have
- 53:03Speaker 3: a feeling that Israel has probably the best troops in
- 53:07Speaker 3: the world for this particular mission. I have a feeling
- 53:10Speaker 3: nobody would be better on the ground in Iran cleaning
- 53:14Speaker 3: up things and knowing how to find the IRGC than Israel.
- 53:18Speaker 3: So boots on the ground might be a good idea,
- 53:22Speaker 3: but Israeli troops, because again, there's nobody more knowledgeable, more
- 53:28Speaker 3: skilled in that part of the world than Israeli soldier spent.
- 53:33Speaker 3: You could do it like you know, the Cuban missile crisis,
- 53:37Speaker 3: or actually a bay of pigs the real plan was
- 53:40Speaker 3: boots on the ground and then our air power to
- 53:43Speaker 3: back them up and protect them. That might be the
- 53:45Speaker 3: perfect thing. Let's go to Rob in Franklin Square. Rob,
- 53:49Speaker 3: how are you doing?
- 53:49Speaker 13: Hi?
- 53:49Speaker 15: Good morning, Mark, congratulations on a Barrett Media Award. Thanks Ladily,
- 53:55Speaker 15: Mark on a Johnny cross It show. When Skitch had
- 53:57Speaker 15: Henderson left, didn't well replace replace him before Doc severage
- 54:04Speaker 15: and took over.
- 54:04Speaker 3: Yes, there's only three people in the world that could
- 54:06Speaker 3: possibly know what we're talking about.
- 54:08Speaker 15: But yeah, and Sketch, what do you called? Doc is
- 54:13Speaker 15: going to be ninety nine to sometime this.
- 54:15Speaker 3: Week, DoD s alive and well still performs now and
- 54:18Speaker 3: then he's ninety nine. Great point, Well, thanks for calling.
- 54:22Speaker 3: Just explain this. Skitch Henderson was the band leader of
- 54:25Speaker 3: the Tonight Show for the first he'd been the band
- 54:28Speaker 3: leader under Steve Allen with Johnny Carson for the first
- 54:33Speaker 3: almost five years. Four years he was the band leader.
- 54:36Speaker 3: Skitch Henderson very well known, big part of the show,
- 54:39Speaker 3: and then one day he was gone. The next day
- 54:45Speaker 3: he wasn't there. Well, there was an incident with a
- 54:48Speaker 3: young young girl, a woman. There was some stuff. A
- 54:52Speaker 3: letter came in to NBC about this. It went right
- 54:57Speaker 3: to the top brass chairman of RCA, which owned NBC,
- 55:01Speaker 3: and Carson got it and they decided Kitch had to go.
- 55:05Speaker 3: They allowed him to resign and retire, but he had
- 55:10Speaker 3: to go very quickly, and they didn't have a band leader.
- 55:13Speaker 3: I don't know why they didn't think of Doc Severanson immediately,
- 55:15Speaker 3: but they got this guy, Milton Deluge who had been
- 55:19Speaker 3: around for a while. He was just happened to be
- 55:21Speaker 3: there and he looked like Skitch Anderson. He had to
- 55:23Speaker 3: go tee like him, so they stuck him in there,
- 55:25Speaker 3: but absolutely no chemistry with Carson, so he had to go,
- 55:30Speaker 3: and that's when they brought in Doc. Same thing happened
- 55:32Speaker 3: with Jay Leno. Remember the first year of Leno, it
- 55:35Speaker 3: was Wynton Marsalis or was it Branford Marsalis, Yeah, one
- 55:40Speaker 3: of them, and he wouldn't laugh at Leno's jokes. He
- 55:43Speaker 3: always had a sour looking face, no personality, so they
- 55:46Speaker 3: had to get rid of him and replace him with Kevin.
- 55:50Speaker 3: So it's not the first time that's happened, but the
- 55:53Speaker 3: whole thing has kind of stopped now, you know. Paul
- 55:56Speaker 3: Schaeffer was a big part of let him and sure,
- 55:59Speaker 3: he was kind of a psiche. But nowadays nobody knows
- 56:02Speaker 3: who the band is anymore. Nobody knows who the band
- 56:04Speaker 3: leader is anymore. That's all kind of vanished. I know.
- 56:07Speaker 3: Jimmy Follon will look over at the guy in wave
- 56:09Speaker 3: and he'll wave, but he never comes over and sits
- 56:12Speaker 3: on the couch like Doc used to do. Hey, when
- 56:15Speaker 3: we come back and Culture will be with us, lots
- 56:17Speaker 3: to talk to her about. We'll talk about our crazy mayor, mom, Donnie,
- 56:21Speaker 3: and a whole lot more. Just ahead on seven to
- 56:24Speaker 3: ten wr.
- 56:26Speaker 2: Bye from the woor Lifebaxtudios marks them on.
- 56:33Speaker 3: Well, well that's right now. The best selling author, the
- 56:35Speaker 3: great columnist and culter. Make sure you watch her Rumble channel,
- 56:39Speaker 3: a lot of great video on Rumble and live shows
- 56:42Speaker 3: every Thursday, and Culture at Rumble, also Twitter, of course,
- 56:46Speaker 3: and follow her on substacks and substecks. She's got videos
- 56:49Speaker 3: and columns and podcasts. You go to andculter dot substack
- 56:54Speaker 3: dot com and culter dot substack dot com and culter
- 56:58Speaker 3: how you doing fantastic?
- 57:00Speaker 1: How are you with Mark Simone?
- 57:02Speaker 3: Very good? Very good? Have you seen our new shanty
- 57:05Speaker 3: town here in Manhattan on.
- 57:07Speaker 1: The Western Temmy is doing a fantastic job, isn't he?
- 57:10Speaker 1: What you Why can't these mayors learn from other mayors
- 57:16Speaker 1: whenever they put billions of dollars into quote homeless services
- 57:19Speaker 1: that don't do anything to get the homeless off the street,
- 57:21Speaker 1: you know, San Francisco, La. That's what they've been doing.
- 57:24Speaker 1: They just go up to the homeless people and ask
- 57:28Speaker 1: would you like would you like to get some treatment?
- 57:32Speaker 1: Would you like it? They're obviously you know they're on
- 57:34Speaker 1: drugs or mentally ill. The answer is no. This is
- 57:38Speaker 1: a disease, both drugs and schizophrenia. It's a disease that
- 57:44Speaker 1: prevents you from knowing you are sick. So of course
- 57:47Speaker 1: this doesn't work. And no, it's awful.
- 57:49Speaker 5: It's awful.
- 57:50Speaker 12: What's happening to New York?
- 57:51Speaker 3: Okay, but it's a shanty town with the tarp, the
- 57:54Speaker 3: blue tarp. It goes for twelve blocks, and they've stolen
- 57:59Speaker 3: electricity from a street light and they're got electric part.
- 58:04Speaker 3: What in the mind of mom Donnie when he sees that,
- 58:07Speaker 3: why doesn't he realize this is disgusting? It makes me
- 58:09Speaker 3: look bad.
- 58:12Speaker 1: I don't know. I think they really want to wreck
- 58:16Speaker 1: reck cities and they'll be and wreck our country. And
- 58:19Speaker 1: and they'll be standing on top of the wreckage, ginning
- 58:23Speaker 1: up the stupid, the poor, the homeless, the drug addicts.
- 58:28Speaker 1: But they'll be they'll be king, king in hell. And
- 58:35Speaker 1: I do want to say, I mean, it's awful just
- 58:37Speaker 1: looking at the pictures, just you and me talking about this.
- 58:40Speaker 1: Can you imagine the people have stores in that area. Yeah,
- 58:44Speaker 1: their livelihoods, their lives are ruined.
- 58:48Speaker 3: Well, it's Twelfth Avenue, it's near the Intrepid, so it's
- 58:52Speaker 3: not a lot of business. But in LA where they've
- 58:54Speaker 3: done it. You know that famous Los Angeles restaurant Musso
- 58:57Speaker 3: and Frank, It's legendary, been there from Apparently they're closing
- 59:01Speaker 3: because there's a homeless encampment right in front of their
- 59:04Speaker 3: restaurant and they're going broke, so they're.
- 59:06Speaker 1: Gonna have to restaurant after restaurant and store after store
- 59:10Speaker 1: went under in Portland, the one, the one that I
- 59:13Speaker 1: was happy about. What's the name, It's on the tip
- 59:17Speaker 1: of my tongue. But anyway, they put up an ac
- 59:21Speaker 1: A B sign all cops are bastards. That was the
- 59:26Speaker 1: code to use their bathroom ACAB so haha.
- 59:32Speaker 12: Out of business.
- 59:34Speaker 3: But what about the leaders like Schumer and those people.
- 59:37Speaker 3: I know you can't count on them for anything, but
- 59:38Speaker 3: why aren't they yelling and screaming about this.
- 59:43Speaker 9: There?
- 59:43Speaker 1: It's interesting how the Democrats are terrified of their progressive
- 59:48Speaker 1: as it's called progressive. They who really just want to
- 59:53Speaker 1: destroy our country, tear it down, defund ice, defund the police.
- 59:58Speaker 1: And suddenly, if we could talk for a moment, And
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: this is not what my column is about this week,
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: but I may I may write about it about the
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: Ice shootings. This is entirely to be laid at Joe Biden,
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: or I guess I should say the lefties who were
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: running the Joe Biden administration bringing in, you know, twenty
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: million illegals in order to get them out. There's going
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: to be law enforcements when you have a lot of
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: law enforcement of any sort. Yeah, there's there's going to
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: be I don't even think they're necessarily such big mistakes.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: These are illegal aliens. They're in our country illegally. When
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: the police are coming to a rescue, if if, even
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: if you fully comply, so far it does not seem
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: that they are fully complying. It looks like our illegal
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: aliens need to get that same talk that black parents
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: say they give their kids. How you have to be
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: absolutely polite one hundreds just say yes, sir. If a
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: cop pulls you over, you obey every order, which, by
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: the way, I don't think that's really stuck observing all
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: of these shootings of black kids by police. It's always
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: always when they're fighting with the police, when they're resisting arrest.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: So don't posist arrest, don't drive away from ice officers.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: And another idea, don't come into our country illegally. I mean,
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: there are times when utterly innocent, impressive Americans like Pat
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: Tillman get killed by friendly fire. Sorry, that's what happens
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: in war. I mean, the military didn't have to lie
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: about it. That was really awful. But remember he was
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: that just stunning, spectacular. He had just signed with an
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: NFL team, so good looking, and some six months after
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: nine to eleven, he left, walked away from his NFL career,
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: and he and his brother signed up with the military.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: They were sent to Afghanistan. Military did lie to us
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: about it. But this is and it was embarrassing. He
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: was killed.
- 1:02:03Speaker 6: It was for of a screw up.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: It doesn't really matter, but it looked like it was
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: the Taliban shooting at one group, and he ended up
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: being killed by friendly fire. This is what happens once
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: in a while, awful, horrible in wartime. It's what happens
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: in law enforcement. And it was Joe Biden with the
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: Democrats encouragement, who just hauled in twenty another twenty millionaire illegals.
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: They have no right to be here. And I'd also
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: blame Chief Justice Robert because if we don't get them out,
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: they're they're gonna they got nine months to drop the
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: baby and start collecting even more welfare than they're getting now,
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: which is a lot.
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: Yeah. But you know, for all you illegals listening, if
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: the cops stop you, this technique of trying to drive
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: your car into them and run them over, it's not effective.
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: It is nobody nobody has used its success so far.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: But even if they don't, I mean, even if these
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: are accidents, even if they were pulling over the rock
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: illegal alien, or they were pulling over a quote legal
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: alien anger baby probably who's harboring an illegal alien. Sorry,
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: all these things are illegal. And this happens sometimes, as
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: with Pat Tillman, even one of our greatest Americans can
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: be killed by accident when guns are involved.
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: Yeah. So yeah, well Tom Holman wanted to stop the
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: traffic stops, President Trump telling them to resume them right away.
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: No, I'm very very glad. I just retweeted something she's saying,
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: what is this a sanctuary car policy?
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: So what if we just took one state. Let's take
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: Maine for instance, and make it, make it officially a
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: sanctuary state and put every illegal there and they can
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: do whatever they want, just stay in Maine. It'd be
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: a nice experiment to see how it goes, wouldn't.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: Sort of, Yes, for one thing, there's no way we
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: can keep them there, though I have long advocated for
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: building a wall around the state of California to keep
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: them out. But I mean all these places, including including California.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: You know where I lived out there, it was it
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: was a very very Republican area. Beverly Hills went heavily
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: for Republicans every year. It gives a lot of money.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: I might add the Upper east Side, the one two
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: one zip code gives more to Republicans than any zip
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: code in the country. So, you know, you have these
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: poor patriotic Americans being held hostage because it's not statewide.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: I mean, Tennessee is a great state, but look at Memphis.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: And California is an awful state, but look at Beverly Hills.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: Oh and look at up in the north, the right
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: wing farmers in the in the northern part of California.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: I'm if you can't tell, I've given this a lot
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: of thought. If there's any way we can chop up
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: the country to have one really great country, and we could,
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: but it would be you know, a bunch of non adjacent.
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: Harry Hey and Culter. You're I would assume you were
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: not a big Lindsay Graham fan.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: That's true. I won't say anything unkind I tweeted out
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: that as bad as as his sudden death was, there's
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: more bad news. I'm not the person of interest.
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, he was a very nice guy, very wonderful guy,
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: but like McCain, he could go haywire on some issues
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: and across the aisle when you didn't really need him
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: to cross the.
- 1:05:41Speaker 6: Aisle on him.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: But yeah, exactly. But particularly he was just he was
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: a warmonger, constant war. It's ironic and almost hilarious that
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: when this happened, he was just returning from Kiev. I
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: used to always see him on TV. Well, I've had,
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: you know, seventeen trips to to Jerusalem or you know
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: the Balkans or you know this place. You know, could
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: you do something for Americans? I know it sounds like
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: you're really cool when you're you know, this international chess
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: master moving moving pieces around on the globe. But it's
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: all just bs that nothing ever changes, uh, And Americans
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: have made it very clear we are so sick of
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: being constantly at war.
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: Yeah, you got to give this Vilensky credit. I mean,
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: this guy has held off Russia. We used to think
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: they were a superpower. Now they look ridiculous and making
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: zero progress and Ukraine fighting them off for five six
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: years now, pretty impressive, isn't it.
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: Not without the US. I'm thank you can thank the
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: US taxpayer for that.
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: Well yeah, but now they've got their own drone factories,
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: they're making their own drones. They've they've they've been pretty
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: good at this. It's nice to see Russia stop.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: Dead and it's giving them hundreds of billions of dollars.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: Well all right, so hey, so we really could have
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: used at home, by the way, could have used that
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: for a fence. Could we use that for a lot
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: of things other than something that bears has absolutely no
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: effect on any American's life.
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: Hey, and culture has a great Rumble channel. And now
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: Rumble started because the YouTube was so left wing censoring
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: anything conservative. So Rumble came along. But it's become very big, right, and.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: It has gotten big. When I first started my substack,
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: you can connect substack, I guess to YouTube. When at
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: the time all the guys setting it up for me,
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: this was during the dwindling years of the Biden administration,
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: I said, look, I don't think there's any point in
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: even even signing up for YouTube. I've looked at all
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: the right wingers they have thrown off. Any right winger
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: who is popular they will will throw off. It's really unbelieved.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: A lot of left you know, they pretend they're such
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: big flea speech warriors, but a lot so that a
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: lot of people went to Rumble.
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: Yea, yeah, it's very good. It's Rumble is like YouTube
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: without the censorship. So you can watch and Culter's Rumble
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: channel and new shows every Thursday. Right, that's right, and uh,
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: but you can go to the channel anytime and see
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: a lot of stuff there and culture at Rumble.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: I then put them on substack usually the next day
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: with no lads.
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: Yeah, and follow on substack. It's a Culter dot substack
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: dot com and of course at Twitter and get all
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: of her books and and Culter thanks for being with us.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: Good to talk to you Marks alone.
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: Bye bye, take care. Uh, don't forget Buck and Clay.
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: They'll be here at noon today. And then you got
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: the most listened to radio show in America. You got
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: Sean Hannity at three, Jesse Kelly at six, you got
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: the very funny Jimmy Fayla every night nine to midnight.
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: And Curtis Curtis Lee was here every morning. It's Curtis
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: Larry Minty on seven to ten.
- 1:09:05Speaker 13: W R.
- 1:09:06Speaker 10: Get hiss in access to Mark by setting a pre
- 1:09:09Speaker 10: set in the iHeartRadio app for his live show and
- 1:09:12Speaker 10: his podcast. Now back to the Mark Simone Show on wor.
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: Well. A new item on the menu at McDonald's that
- 1:09:24Speaker 3: happens very very very rarely. It looks like it's a
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: chicken Caesar rap. Now that became a big thing a
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: few years ago here in Manhattan uptown, Upper east Side,
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: Mulano Market. Chicken Caesar salad in a rap. It was
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: they make the best one in the world. It became
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: a thing people would wait in line for. Then you
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: see them everywhereverywhere you go. Now you see the chicken
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: caesar in a rap. McDonald's adding it to the menu
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: anytime they go trendy at McDonald's. It never seems to work.
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: So I don't know if it'll last. You know, the
- 1:09:57Speaker 3: big arch, that big, big Hamburger they came out with
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: early in the year was great. So I'm looking at
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: the menu. It doesn't look like they really have it anymore.
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: It's not on the menu anymore here. But they got
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: the mcdouble, which looks like an updated version of it.
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: But look for that new chicken caesar wrap at McDonald's.
- 1:10:21Speaker 3: Now that's gonna be like that. Remember the McLean that
- 1:10:24Speaker 3: came and went very fast, Remember the McRib Some of
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: these things don't last. In fact, most of them don't. Hey,
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: it's going to be a very hot day to day,
- 1:10:32Speaker 3: not as bad as we thought. It's not gonna be
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: one hundred, but it's gonna be like ninety six ninety seven,
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: so be careful outside. It'll cool down a little tomorrow,
