- 0:05I didn't tell anybody. Really, I perform a lot and they
- 0:11say there's no crowd in the world you can't beat after you
- 0:13perform for Israelis because Americans come to enjoy the
- 0:17show. Israelis come to figure it out.

- 1:45You like that you're going to run with this magical thing all
- 1:47day. Aren't.
- 1:49You. It's magically delicious.
- 1:50That's the second time. Yes, I'm I'm excited we actually
- 1:53have some people in the audience today that are real big fans and
- 1:56aspiring magicians and mentalists.
- 1:58So it's amazing to see you and thank you so much for joining us
- 2:01again. We met in Israel.
- 2:04And when we met you're, you're not aware of this, that you had
- 2:08just done something, you know, you fooled someone that we knew
- 2:11like an hour before. And I was watching the video and
- 2:14I'm like, Oh my God, this guy is great.
- 2:15And I'm with my friend Joe. And suddenly we see you and I'm
- 2:18like, you got to do that. It's all over again I.
- 2:20Think, I think I'm very aware, just because I'm aware to all of
- 2:23these details. I've done it on Rabbi Lawrence
- 2:26Rabbi. Lawrence, that's right, that's
- 2:28right. There we go and Asan Moshe
- 2:29Simcha and then you did it on Joe Sutton, who was with me and
- 2:33you'll. Be surprised how many how many
- 2:35people I I actually remember. I remember faces really, really
- 2:39well. I don't always remember names,
- 2:41but I remember locations where I met them how and things like
- 2:44that. So it's like when you say I met
- 2:46you, I know exactly who I met that day.
- 2:49Yeah, I'm curious. I have so many questions.
- 2:51And also one of the things I did this time is I asked our
- 2:54audience what questions they would have for you, and we
- 2:56selected the top few questions that they gave us.
- 2:59I did this through status. I didn't do it through any other
- 3:02social media platform, but I got a lot of responses.
- 3:04One of the questions that's hitting me right now is what is
- 3:07the craziest response you ever got from someone that you did a
- 3:10trick on? Street stuff or stage?
- 3:15Stuff. Any anything.
- 3:16Tell me anything. I think the most there's like
- 3:22the most moving ones and the most enjoyable ones for people
- 3:26to watch on on social media. Yeah, tell me both.
- 3:29I think the most special one was when I had people, when I have
- 3:34people cry, it's so deep, so emotional.
- 3:37So like special something that relates to, let's say a, a dead
- 3:41person they thought of or something happened because they
- 3:43thought of someone like that. And they, they literally start
- 3:46crying. And it's like me as, as the
- 3:49performer, I'm like, Oh my God, I just moved someone.
- 3:52And I think that's very, very special as a performer.
- 3:57And then there is of course, the ones that I just love when
- 4:00people go crazy, they just run away.
- 4:03They're, they're like, Oh my God, some people like they
- 4:06curse, they curse, they curse. It's like the end of the video,
- 4:09like beep, beep, beep, beep, beep.
- 4:11You know, it's like it just doesn't end.
- 4:12And I, I absolutely love it. That's great.
- 4:15That's so you know, you did a good job for sure.
- 4:16We have a little segment, by the way, called Chachi PT says what
- 4:20about you? All right, Have you ever done a
- 4:22Chachi PT on yourself? No, but I don't know if Chachi
- 4:26PT knows me enough, but let's go.
- 4:28I love that. What do you think it's going to
- 4:30say about you? If you had to guess one thing,
- 4:32what would Chachi PT say about you?
- 4:38I'm not sure I don't I don't know cuz I I have a it's funny
- 4:42cuz I know it been times what people would say about me.
- 4:45You know what I'm thinking right?
- 4:46Machine would know, you know, right?
- 4:48You know how people work. You don't know how machines
- 4:50work. OK, I like that.
- 4:51So you started doing magic at 10, the age that most kids are
- 4:55discovering sports, you're discovering psychological
- 4:58warfare. That's the first thing that
- 5:00Chachi PT says. OK.
- 5:01That's not bad, Not bad. I started when I was 9, nine,
- 5:04yes, OK. And I actually, I started
- 5:08naturally as a mentalist, got into magic as a result.
- 5:11And only after 2-3 years in magic, I was, I was directed
- 5:16back into mentalism. I was told you can do proper
- 5:19mentalism, wanting to do that, and that's where I shifted back
- 5:21into proper mentalism. I'm going to love learning the
- 5:24difference between magic and mentalism and so on.
- 5:27Definitely when you were nine, just real quick, what was your
- 5:30first thing you did? How did this come to you?
- 5:31So I. Basically I got into, you know
- 5:33this. There's a very simple trick
- 5:35where you put down 4 cards, 4 card like rows of four, and you
- 5:39ask people to choose a card and then you say what row is it in
- 5:43and then you collect them. You spread them the opposite
- 5:45way, so that way the cards crossed.
- 5:47Right, it's the by process of elimination.
- 5:49Right. So basically you know this one
- 5:50and then you know that one, then you know was carded every.
- 5:53Kid learns. Them and I didn't know that's
- 5:56how it was done in the beginning and I was able to do that
- 5:59immediately just they looked at a car.
- 6:01I was able to look at the room and just at the person thinking
- 6:05of the card and was able to tell him what card they were thinking
- 6:07of. And only then I learned it was a
- 6:09trick there. There was a trick to it, but I
- 6:11was doing it with a with proper mental of just like looking at
- 6:15people. Of course I wasn't as good as I
- 6:16am today. He he developed a lot.
- 6:19I always say it's like being musical.
- 6:24It's like the fact that your musical doesn't make you Mozart,
- 6:28right. You need to study notes.
- 6:29You have to study rhythm, you have to study many, many things
- 6:34in order to perfect the talent OR the ability you already have.
- 6:37It's not just like one day I get up and I'm able to read people.
- 6:41So it's. That's pretty cool.
- 6:42So you think you let, I mean, you know that you have like a
- 6:44natural inclination of reading people and you knew that as a
- 6:47young age. Then you adapted that and built
- 6:49on your skills. I didn't know that like 100%.
- 6:53I was like, OK, I assume that's how you do magic.
- 6:55It naturally pulled me into the how do people react to the to
- 6:59it, how cool it is. And slowly, slowly I shift.
- 7:02I got into magic because I didn't know the difference
- 7:04between mentalism and magic. I was like magic mentalism.
- 7:08I didn't know what's mentalism. How would you define in one
- 7:11sentence the difference between magic and mentalism?
- 7:13I would say magic is sleight of hand, making you, let's say.
- 7:20If I do, let's say I do that right, so many people would
- 7:24naturally look where I look, right?
- 7:26So I'm getting you to look a certain place where when
- 7:28something else happens in a totally different place,
- 7:31distraction, right? And then mentalism, I would say
- 7:35it's more like a magic of the brain.
- 7:37So it's how you think what you think influencing you to think a
- 7:40certain way. That's in like 2 words.
- 7:43OK, OK, perfect. I love that he doesn't read
- 7:46minds. He just steers into your soul.
- 7:48Until your childhood secrets volunteer themselves.
- 7:51Wow. So before we started, you did
- 7:52ask Oshe a question, right? And we'll get to that soon.
- 7:56Sure. And I'm thinking that you can
- 7:59embarrass people sometimes, I guess, Right?
- 8:00Does that happen? I had situations, yes, that
- 8:03happened on stage where I asked people to, I could cut this out
- 8:07by the way, if it doesn't fit the podcast, but I, I don't want
- 8:09to fit the podcast. Think of a, think of the name of
- 8:12a name they their first cross, their first love.
- 8:15It actually happened again like 2-3 weeks ago and it happened to
- 8:18be same gender. And it was very tricky how to
- 8:22reveal it or not to reveal it because when I asked them,
- 8:25what's the name you were thinking of, these said a
- 8:27different name. They said it was a woman.
- 8:30She said a male's name, but I for sure saw a female's name
- 8:34like I was. I was sure that was the name.
- 8:37So it's very tricky how to reveal it.
- 8:39They said but you actually thought of a different name as
- 8:42well. That was maybe your second love
- 8:45or something like that. I'll just show you if it is
- 8:49agree or don't agree to disagree.
- 8:51Like if to show the audience and I showed it to her.
- 8:55You're like completely in shock. I put it down and we kept going.
- 8:58So no one knows. No one knows, but it was.
- 9:00That's unreal. That is scary.
- 9:01You were so confident that you told her quietly, right?
- 9:07What it was Because it's it's. Fascinating.
- 9:10So usually there's two ways I'll reveal stuff.
- 9:13Sometimes I'll write something down, I'll show it to the
- 9:15audience and I'll reveal it before they say the answer.
- 9:19So what's the name you're thinking of, for example?
- 9:21And then sometimes I won't show it to the audience and I'll say
- 9:24what's the name you're thinking of?
- 9:25And then I'll reveal it only after they say so.
- 9:28It depends also how sure I am or what's the age of the crowd.
- 9:31So for example, when I do pay stock programs or things like
- 9:34that, you have many kids in the audience and it's very different
- 9:37to the corporate events I do. So when I do a corporate event,
- 9:40I know and I'll show something. No one is yelling the name.
- 9:42It's right. But when you deal with kids only
- 9:47you need to be aware of the kid is going to yell before he says
- 9:51the name. You ruined the.
- 9:52He might divulge it, yeah. Move through a another another
- 9:54question we got asked from one of our audience members is one
- 9:57of our fans, I should say is did you ever really get it wrong and
- 10:01like mess up and you're like, Oh my God, like what was that like
- 10:05for you? Yes, first of all, it happens.
- 10:09It happens not as much nowadays, but I feel that first of all,
- 10:15the, the, the, you know, the excitement of being able to to
- 10:19be wrong very exciting. It's like, it's like some people
- 10:23go get their adrenaline jumping off a Cliff.
- 10:25I take the risk of messing up on stage.
- 10:29I think in the beginning I used to be very nervous about being
- 10:32wrong, but slowly, slowly, you realize that you it's much First
- 10:39of all, I have no problem saying, oh, I was wrong if I was
- 10:43wrong. And the second thing is if I
- 10:48trying to think there is a tricky thing where sometimes
- 10:53magicians do it a lot, mentalists do it as well where
- 10:56you do as if you have a mistake and it's a dip, right?
- 11:00And then you basically recover and you get it right Now it's
- 11:05much stronger than before cuz you had that dip.
- 11:08It almost makes it look like a part of the ACT.
- 11:10So at this point, meaning after years of performing, I learned
- 11:14that the performance is many times about making it look like
- 11:17there's a dip or things like that, and that's much stronger.
- 11:22The effect is much stronger. With that said, you could
- 11:27actually get it wrong and you messed up what happens.
- 11:29With somebody that lies to you like they're just being very
- 11:32stubborn, you know, that is probably the name.
- 11:34That's a cool question, by the way.
- 11:35And then the person just says, no, it was that's wrong.
- 11:38How do you How do you prove it? I perform a lot.
- 11:40I performed a lot in Israel and I still do when I I try a lot
- 11:43back and forth. And they say there's no crowd in
- 11:46the world you can't beat after you performed for Israelis
- 11:49because they're they're smart. They're they're not like smart.
- 11:52They're, they're very direct. They're very.
- 11:54They try the Americans come to enjoy the show.
- 11:57Yeah, Israelis come to figure it out, which is totally fine, but
- 12:01they they come and they try fooling you as well.
- 12:03So you need to learn how to perform in that way.
- 12:08So it's like, let's say I'll ask someone to think of a name.
- 12:11They think of a name, I'll tell them, OK, usually I won't ask
- 12:14you to write it down or anything, but then I'll ask you
- 12:16to just write it down on a big board.
- 12:18Now they can't change their mind, even if it's even if they
- 12:21want to change their mind inside 123, we both turn it over.
- 12:23Yeah, I so it's ways ways you figure out how to deal with
- 12:27different crowds. Love that chat.
- 12:29GPD doesn't have that much to say I guess yet.
- 12:31But there are two more things that are interesting.
- 12:33Corporate gigs love you and that's what it's saying.
- 12:36Nothing bonds executives like publicly being outsmarted by a
- 12:39man in a hat. So tell me about your corporate
- 12:42gigs. Also another great question that
- 12:44we've gotten, which is what was your biggest performance ever
- 12:46that you've done so far and what are you dreaming of?
- 12:49What's that one performance that you're saying I want to do XY
- 12:51and Z? So I'll start with the first
- 12:57one. Why, why, why corporate?
- 13:00Why corporate events and why people love it.
- 13:03And I do know that I'm doing a good job is I love personalizing
- 13:07my show. I really, really take the time
- 13:09to personalize my show. Even when it's not a corporate
- 13:12event. I do like, let's say it's a
- 13:13birthday party, I'll make it about the person having the
- 13:17birthday party. When it's a corporate event,
- 13:19I'll make it about the company. So let's say they have they're
- 13:22the name of the company. They have a certain values the
- 13:25company goes by. Let's say they have, I don't
- 13:28know, certain products or certain things.
- 13:30Or when I am see an event, they have certain pieces of
- 13:33information they want to bring up and make them not boring.
- 13:38So that's where I would say I shine, where even other
- 13:41performers, other mentalists or other magicians aren't able to
- 13:45do it the same way that I do it, because I really make it about
- 13:49the client and it's not about me, it's about them.
- 13:52So that's the first thing. The second thing is you ask
- 13:56what's the biggest crowd or what's the biggest stuff?
- 13:59I performed for crowds over 2000 people.
- 14:06Smallest crowd I ever performed at was I think four people.
- 14:12You got 4 corporate event. Yes, really.
- 14:14Corporate event, Four people, all four of them, they landed
- 14:19with a helicopter. They had a dinner with a chef
- 14:22and I performed and based. I didn't even know that.
- 14:27I wasn't able to get any information beforehand or
- 14:29anything about who am I performing to?
- 14:32I thought. Where was this?
- 14:33It was in, in, how do you call it, in Tiberius and wow, up
- 14:39north, the very they'd had like a whole type of day, like on
- 14:44their helicopter. Then they came, they had like a
- 14:46chef and me. It was like a very.
- 14:48Obviously it's very high end people and they probably wanted
- 14:52to have discretions. They didn't give you any real
- 14:54information. Yeah, for sure.
- 15:01But I, I have many, many clients like that that I can't really
- 15:04talk about or things like that that are more like VIP.
- 15:06You fly into a secret island, right?
- 15:07You perform. You.
- 15:09You land, you take a boat, you perform.
- 15:11You've actually done that and. You use stuff like that, you've
- 15:12landed. I've done, I've done weird stuff
- 15:15like that. What's the craziest thing like
- 15:16you're saying already things that are shocking me like so
- 15:18being able to I'm trying to think like of a place that I've
- 15:23done. I've done a place in Turkey.
- 15:28I Flint Turkey. That wasn't, that wasn't like a
- 15:31border or anything, but it was just like a very specific
- 15:33experience I had. I had an experience actually
- 15:37with a chef from Bahrain where I met in in Tel Aviv in Kombinski
- 15:44Hotel, which of course it's owned by their family.
- 15:48Their family I didn't. Know that.
- 15:50So it is. Yeah.
- 15:51Wow. And then I met him again here in
- 15:53New York and whatever, there's like certain certain settings
- 16:00and certain things where it's like, oh, it's me and my wife
- 16:03would love to have like a dinner and performance with you or
- 16:06stuff like that. It's like really weird
- 16:08situations and I love it. It's like it makes you really
- 16:11think, OK, so I have this really weird situation.
- 16:13I used to perform in front of like 100 people, 200 a 1000,
- 16:17whatever it is. And that is like suddenly, wow,
- 16:20it's a it's a weird, it's a weird experience, but I love.
- 16:22It Do you have a dream of doing a larger audience?
- 16:25Is that something you think about?
- 16:29It's a tricky, it's a tricky one because I love, love, love the
- 16:33small events. I love like 30-40 fifty people
- 16:36events and I also love the huge events, but they're very, very
- 16:40different. When you're very different when
- 16:42you perform on a big stage, you basically it's a show that you
- 16:49can't expect any interaction, right?
- 16:53You're far away from the audience.
- 16:55Even though I do run to the audience, I bring people out.
- 16:57I do things with the whole audience, but it's not the same
- 16:59as when you're sitting in a room and someone just next to me is
- 17:02like, no, no, do this. Why that it's very it's it's,
- 17:08it's very different. Yeah, of course it's a.
- 17:11Little Yeah, I'm, I'm curious. Another great question we got
- 17:13here, and this is actually, I believe, from Robbie Lawrence.
- 17:16I don't know if I'm supposed to give away who's asking the
- 17:18question, but I I don't think he'll mind.
- 17:21You know, there are two other, I'm going to say other.
- 17:24You're in that group, popular mentalists that are out there
- 17:27right now making some noise along with you, of course, Lior
- 17:31Suchard and Oz Perlman. What, if anything, is different
- 17:35from you and them, and how are they different from each other
- 17:38and you? I think they're both much older
- 17:43than me. They're both 43 or 4440.
- 17:47I think they're both 43. How old are you?
- 17:48I'm 28. Wow.
- 17:50I'm much younger than. Not much younger than I look,
- 17:53but I am younger than many times what people.
- 17:56Assume yeah, you carry yourself a little older than that.
- 17:59It's a compliment. It's a maturity.
- 18:01Yeah, Israelis the. Very experienced, you know, with
- 18:04a lot of stature, like, yeah. Happens and we start doing it,
- 18:08yeah, we start traveling and doing what I do.
- 18:11But what I would say would be the big difference probably.
- 18:21I wouldn't say they're old fashioned.
- 18:22They're amazing and I love their work and I and I know them
- 18:25personally. I know Leor more than Oz
- 18:28personally. I think each one has their style
- 18:33as well. I don't think I'm either of
- 18:36them. I think I'm a combination of
- 18:38both. I have like a little bit of each
- 18:40one and I and there's depth even to how and what we do.
- 18:43So I see a difference in how we perform and what we do.
- 18:49But I would say I'm I love social media and it's another
- 18:54part I know that if I wouldn't be doing what I do, I would
- 18:56still do social media. And I found that for me, a
- 19:00connection with live people is the most fascinating thing and
- 19:07fun thing that I could do to myself.
- 19:09Of course it does publicity and you grow and whatever.
- 19:12But I really found that at some point I start performing and you
- 19:16find yourself performing on stages every other night or
- 19:19whatever, and you just, you don't have the same interactions
- 19:22you used to have in the beginning where it's as pure as
- 19:26it gets. And at some point I, I spoke to
- 19:30my team and one of them said, why don't you just do the street
- 19:33stuff again? And whatever I said, sure, I
- 19:35would love to let's, let's do it.
- 19:36And we made it happen. And since then I've been like,
- 19:39really like, I, I love doing it because of the connection.
- 19:42You really connect to people on the street.
- 19:44You go out, you do it. Do you believe I could read your
- 19:46mind? My, my favorite slide, people
- 19:48come up to me on the street. Do you believe I could read your
- 19:51mind? And I'm like, yes, I, I, I made
- 19:53sure that it's stuck and, and, and, and the connection you
- 19:58really connect with so many different people.
- 20:01If you go on my on my Instagram, you just scroll every single
- 20:04video could be like Jewish, non Jewish, white, black from every
- 20:09culture. It's absolutely amazing to
- 20:12experience. I'm.
- 20:14Really happy for you. This is a great life to live
- 20:16connecting with people everyday. I mean, if you, you mentioned a
- 20:19minute ago you love social media.
- 20:20So I'm assuming that would mean that if you weren't doing this,
- 20:23you'd be doing something in marketing.
- 20:26I used to do real estate before I even done mentalism full time.
- 20:31I used to do it basically I just mentalism since I'm a kid, but I
- 20:35used to do real estate in Israel and I went to study business
- 20:38specializing in real estate and construction.
- 20:41So basically that was my path. That was what I'm I was doing.
- 20:47I dealt with construction and then at some point basically
- 20:51COVID time. That was a blessing for me and
- 20:54everyone was stuck at home. Start posting things on social
- 20:57media randomly. Then things started exploding.
- 21:00Had many, many requests for like Zoom shows and things like that.
- 21:03And it was like, you know what, let's give it a try.
- 21:06And things are different since then.
- 21:09Let's go down that road of your past because you know, now that
- 21:12we know how old you are, I see you have a ring on your fingers.
- 21:16So you're married. I am beautiful.
- 21:18How's the how? What's your relationship like?
- 21:21How do you live with someone who pretty much knows what you're
- 21:25thinking? How do you like, you know, keep
- 21:28secrets? How do you how do you navigate
- 21:31that? I mean how does?
- 21:32She keep secrets? How does she keep secrets
- 21:34exactly? That's what I meant.
- 21:35Sorry. I just like what's the what's
- 21:37it's going to be annoying that if someone always has all the
- 21:39answers and you know, and always knows everything.
- 21:41I've heard this before by the way.
- 21:42People marry like therapists like, oh, don't, don't over
- 21:44therapy me, right? This must be 10 times crazier.
- 21:47Like I'm not your patient. You know I'm your wife.
- 21:49I know what you're thinking. Yeah, but first of all, it's the
- 21:52best for her. I just sit on the couch.
- 21:54She's like wash the dishes. And I'm like, I no, I don't.
- 21:58It would be great. No, but she's she's first of
- 22:00all, my wife. She's amazing.
- 22:02She she does so much with me and and for me we travel a lot
- 22:07together and I don't think she expected to do this journey with
- 22:11me. We did have a kid 8 months ago
- 22:15so we many many things shifted. Now I'm based here in the US, I
- 22:20live in the city. I want to do a little mentalist
- 22:22on you right now. Go for it.
- 22:23I'm going to guess if it was a boy or a girl because you didn't
- 22:25mention it, You didn't say anything, but I'm going to do it
- 22:27based on what you said. And like in your body language,
- 22:30you had a girl. I did not.
- 22:33It was a 5050. It was a 50.
- 22:34Your day job please. You know why I said that?
- 22:38You know why I said it was a girl?
- 22:39My guess was most time people have a boy, they say, oh, I
- 22:42recently had a boy and when they have a girl is I recently had a
- 22:45kid. It's just, it's strange.
- 22:46It happens a lot that way. People say they had a kid and
- 22:49it's typically a girl. So one of the things you need to
- 22:51be aware of that is first of all, I, I'm originally from
- 22:53Israel. So my first language language is
- 22:56I did speak English at home as a first language, but I grew up in
- 22:58in an Israeli culture and mentalism in general needs to
- 23:02remember it's it it's a lot. I don't know what you think, but
- 23:06I don't know how you think. So how you how you'll respond to
- 23:08certain things, how you'll do certain things.
- 23:11And The funny thing about it is that different cultures have
- 23:14different gestures for different things.
- 23:17For example, this means thumbs up.
- 23:19Yes, of of OK, right, you'll go Iran.
- 23:23This is bad. It's no go, right?
- 23:25Or I don't know, for example, personal space, right?
- 23:29Personal space. In here, people have lots of
- 23:33space when they talk to each other.
- 23:35Different cultures are much closer.
- 23:37Then you'll have other things. Let's say smiling.
- 23:41Smiling is a good thing, Russia, It's not a good thing.
- 23:44It means much more intimate, right?
- 23:46Or handshakes. So much to do with handshakes.
- 23:51What does it mean? Or, or let's say in in like,
- 23:54people really, really judge how strong you.
- 23:57Firm handshake do. You of both hands do you put
- 23:59your hand on the elbow? How do people react So Americans
- 24:03they properly they give a proper handshake right.
- 24:06In Arab cultures many times it means like I want to be in more
- 24:10like power or stuff like that. So you need to be very careful
- 24:12not to go for your like very firm handshake and to be aware
- 24:16that body language also changes with different cultures.
- 24:19So in one culture, let's say staring at someone, it like we
- 24:25feel many times it's like I'm honest and I speak the truth
- 24:28because I'm staring at you and whatever.
- 24:30But then you go to Asian countries and staring at someone
- 24:33means rude or disrespectful to certain things.
- 24:37So many things that change in different cultures, you got to
- 24:41perform in a different country. Things could be totally
- 24:43different and you have to be aware of it if you don't want
- 24:45to. So you.
- 24:46Have to study all this. You have to learn all the
- 24:48different things. I'd love to learn more.
- 24:49Give me some more of that. I mean, these are great
- 24:51examples. I mean, for sure, it's good to
- 24:54know. I'm saying like, you know.
- 24:56You want to apply to become a Mentalist student?
- 24:58No, I just want to know. I just want to know about this
- 25:00Russia. I would tell you.
- 25:01What he does, but it definitely, it definitely helps in business.
- 25:03I think helping in business with like learning a lot about
- 25:07mirroring and things how people react or how to behave, when to
- 25:11make the sale or what to do. I have a few companies that when
- 25:14I brought in to perform, they said we want you to perform.
- 25:18But would you be able to help us with like the marketing team or
- 25:22or explain to the marketing more things about like how to answer,
- 25:27what to say, how not to say, how to behave?
- 25:30Can you tell us something? I'd love to hear what you.
- 25:32So I find one thing that I love and it's very.
- 25:35It's much easier to understand as an example.
- 25:37So for example, we all say, so if someone's doing this, that
- 25:43means they're closed and whatever.
- 25:44So it is true many times. You need to be aware also of the
- 25:48way. Their arms are folded.
- 25:49Their arms are folded. Yeah, they're closed or they're
- 25:51like they cover themselves or whatever.
- 25:54But let's say you sit in a meeting or or like in an
- 25:57interview and then the person across is closed.
- 26:02But as the conversation goes along, they do open themselves
- 26:06like to the conversation. And then you realize that
- 26:10they're still closed like they're they're because they're
- 26:12not going to like suddenly move right?
- 26:13They're they're shy or whatever. And the, the way you'll react
- 26:18with your body makes a difference on how you'll receive
- 26:21things or respond right. So let's say they say before
- 26:23walking up on stage many times, just stay in, stand in a what do
- 26:26you call a Superman position gives it makes you naturally, it
- 26:31convinces your brain to think that you're like you, you.
- 26:34How do you call it? You, you have lots of space in
- 26:38the room, you're much more confident and then it helps with
- 26:41the the with your presentation. So you want to do that in
- 26:46business as well. So for example, let's say
- 26:48you're, if you do that right, if you close, close your stuff for
- 26:51a second. And then I have, let's say a
- 26:53conversation with you about in personal in order for you to
- 26:55open and want to share something personal.
- 26:58And there's crazy statistics about it.
- 27:00Let's say a waiter that would come to a table and would
- 27:04present himself with his own name, right, his name or give a
- 27:09personal piece of information. He'll, he'll get tipped like 80%
- 27:14more like 80% of the times will get tipped more than the than
- 27:19someone that just comes over and takes your order or does that
- 27:22when you volunteer information, right.
- 27:23So it's really important so well, I'll tell someone I don't
- 27:27know. So hey, my name is Michael.
- 27:29Yes, I'm actually from there. Or voluntarily, right.
- 27:32And then I'll, I'll crack some jokes or what?
- 27:35I will have fun in the conversation, but I still see
- 27:37they're, they're like naturally their bodies closed.
- 27:39I say, do you mind? Do you mind just passing me that
- 27:42pen for a second? And then I'll, I'll stay in a in
- 27:46a open position and then when they come back, they'll usually
- 27:49they'll mirror me. So it's like mirroring is
- 27:52really, really important. So there's many tricks like that
- 27:55that you could use in business and do I don't really do that so
- 27:59much and and like in in going and teach businesses that.
- 28:04But it's definitely something I think every person should
- 28:07definitely learn more about, about language and how to have
- 28:11human interactions. There's very simple things that
- 28:13you could do that would change your entire life and
- 28:16interaction. It's like a chaplain, Michael, I
- 28:18feel very similar talk. Remember that guy that was here
- 28:22and he's, you know, very astute? And are you aware of people's
- 28:26body language and trying to maneuver a situation to
- 28:30stabilize it? You know, and he's reading
- 28:32people's temperature and he's reading, you know, and he's
- 28:34trying to see how to approach it next.
- 28:37Am I to understand that mentalism has got nothing to do
- 28:41with magic, right? This is all real, right?
- 28:44None of this is an illusion. None of this is a sleight of
- 28:47hand. It's really an art form where
- 28:51you're developing the skill over time in how the human brain
- 28:55typically works. And you're applying a lot of
- 28:58that logic to come up with the, with the answers, right?
- 29:02And ultimately the, the, the craft of doing, of doing
- 29:08mentalism is something that people can learn over time,
- 29:12right? It's something that you can, you
- 29:13can teach someone else to do. They may not be very good at it
- 29:15and there's going to be different levels, but this is
- 29:18really just like, you know, a trait that you can, you can
- 29:20teach almost like a detective, like a detective, like no one
- 29:23wakes up 1 morning and they become a very good detective
- 29:25over time. You have experiences and you
- 29:27learn different things to look out for, right?
- 29:29Is that am I? Am I right?
- 29:30Yeah, so there there is like a bit of a different there is
- 29:33there is the natural part where you feel natural.
- 29:36Oh, I feel like a certain urge that something many times when
- 29:40you walk into a room or whatever and you see someone and they're
- 29:43sad or happy, you'll naturally be able to say, oh, they're
- 29:46happy or they're sad, right. And you won't necessarily know
- 29:49to explain what you're seeing, but you just know, right.
- 29:53And I feel that I know to explain it like I know what are
- 29:57the towels that I'm looking for and whatever.
- 29:59So it's it's a lot about So first of all, I do combine magic
- 30:04and what I do once in a while and I do and I do that because
- 30:09in the end of the story, I am AI chose the the route of
- 30:12performing. So it's not like I could have
- 30:16gone to, I don't know, sit in meetings watching people.
- 30:18And I had that many times offered to to just like, why
- 30:21don't you come and sit with me in the meeting, watch the other
- 30:24side. Have like any, any, any like
- 30:27insight about the meeting where they go lower, higher by with
- 30:30their price? And I would say that I never
- 30:36wanted to go to that direction because things could go really
- 30:39dark and weird. And I always try being on the
- 30:42positive thing. So I would, I always say I'm on
- 30:45the positive, positive side of things.
- 30:48And so it's like making people happy and laughing and
- 30:52performing. So as a performer, I would
- 30:56combine anything and everything I could in order to make my
- 30:59performance the best. So I would combine magic if I
- 31:03need to or if I need to get out of situation.
- 31:05By the way, what we spoke about, if I do mess up or something,
- 31:08many times I'll do a trick where I could switch something to make
- 31:12it look natural, but I'll actually use a trick.
- 31:18And is it something that everyone could actually learn
- 31:20and become? I think everyone could improve
- 31:22and ability to read people more, like more of their boundaries,
- 31:25more of their expression, more stuff like that.
- 31:28But I would say that it it, it took me like years and years and
- 31:33years to like perfect, Yeah, what I do.
- 31:36Yeah, I don't mean to diminish. Yeah, yeah.
- 31:37No, no, no, no. Other people could probably do
- 31:39I. Don't feel it's like it's
- 31:40diminishing I I. What's like the go to move for a
- 31:43mentalist? I know like they can try to
- 31:44guess the name, but you're thinking they could try to guess
- 31:46the number that you're thinking right.
- 31:48They may even, you know, they'll get you to say something, you
- 31:52know, and like what's the versatility of this?
- 31:56Like is it the same 5-6 things that you can do over and over
- 31:58and that's your show, or can you keep adding new creative things
- 32:02of? So first of all, my my show has
- 32:04maybe once or twice that I guess names I don't usually like.
- 32:09I do guest names throughout and I just do it randomly.
- 32:12But my show is completely different than what you see on
- 32:15social media because I realized that when I start performing
- 32:18more and more, posting more and more on social media, I realized
- 32:22that other people take your, take your routines, take your
- 32:26content. And I see even famous people do
- 32:28that. And I realized that what do I
- 32:32care? I'll stick to my few things that
- 32:35I do post. And then when you come to my
- 32:37show, my show is completely different and it's a few levels
- 32:41up, but it stays mine. And that's the experience you
- 32:44get. That isn't the social media
- 32:45experience. It's the experience you get in
- 32:47my show and to you ask something just before that.
- 32:53You do you keep adding new things?
- 32:54Like do I keep adding new come up with new material?
- 32:56So, so like I said, I, I specifically I, I because I
- 33:01personalized my show for clients and things like that.
- 33:04I'm always thinking about how do I do something?
- 33:06Oh, there's a cop. What could I do with a cop?
- 33:08What could I do with that? What could I do with this?
- 33:10There's always like a constant thing, let's say for guessing
- 33:12names and things like that. So if I tell you go back in
- 33:15time, go to your childhood, maybe first grade, 2nd grade,
- 33:173rd grade and think of a person, right?
- 33:19So when they say that to an audience, so some people already
- 33:22have it right, some people are thinking about it that second,
- 33:25or you could think of someone as well, but now just that it's
- 33:29fair. Did did you tell them the name
- 33:31you're thinking of? I didn't tell anybody.
- 33:33OK is there is there a way I could possibly know?
- 33:34Did you tell me the name? Now, just to be clear for
- 33:37everybody that's watching this, you asked me before we started.
- 33:39I told you, I told you because you're going to sit there.
- 33:41I want I want to think of a name.
- 33:42Any, any person. Now you thought of a name.
- 33:44Yes. Could you think, let's say of
- 33:47the amount of letters in the name, but don't say it out loud.
- 33:49Just think of the name. Don't do it with your fingers.
- 33:55Otherwise it's now you can do it behind your back.
- 33:57You have it. Yeah.
- 34:01OK, I'm going to go look at this 1-234-567-8910 thinking of a
- 34:07longer name, about 6 letters I would say.
- 34:09Should I answer yes just to see that I mean tell?
- 34:12You how many letters? If I'm right, it's close.
- 34:15OK, I would go ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ is
- 34:27there AU in the name? There is, there is.
- 34:30OK, Now you before thinking of that person you said maybe I'll
- 34:33go I'll think of someone else. I did.
- 34:35And then you change your mind. I did.
- 34:36And then you locked in on that person, right?
- 34:39Yes. That's why many times I'll tell
- 34:40people think of someone because it takes a really long time to
- 34:43think of someone. Yeah.
- 34:45So you have someone. I'm gonna go look at this.
- 34:48ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ. You're thinking of a male, is
- 34:58that right? Yes, right now.
- 35:00He's in love with a male, OK. No, no, it's not his first love.
- 35:04I don't think of someone from his from.
- 35:06A friend. A friend of friend from
- 35:07childhood passing a mess. Let's say I'm I'm said you did
- 35:15think of someone beforehand, right?
- 35:16Yes, I thought of someone for like a few seconds, then I
- 35:20changed it to someone else. I don't know.
- 35:22Because he said you shouldn't think of something so.
- 35:24Common, but I wasn't sure if the other person was really third
- 35:27grade for so that's why I don't. Know it might be totally off but
- 35:29I'm just I'm just trying my best.
- 35:32What's the name you're thinking of?
- 35:34Which one, the first one or the second one?
- 35:36No, the first you actually decide to go with.
- 35:38The side to go with Yes, Molly. Really.
- 35:42Oh my God. Now by the way, you were wrong
- 35:44because is this how you spell it?
- 35:46Yes, because it's 6 letters. Oh, it is 6.
- 35:49It is 6 No 5. That's the.
- 35:52That's five in my head, that's why.
- 35:54That's why, that's why that's the the risk I'm taking.
- 35:57So for example, when you said no, I'm like, no, but, but I'm
- 36:00seeing, I'm seeing 6 letters. Should I go for the six letters
- 36:04or should I try again and go for a different name?
- 36:05You see, I'm like, live. So I think it lets you.
- 36:08I made it harder. Yes, and it's A and it's a.
- 36:10Do you know the name of the first person that I was thinking
- 36:12of? No, that's for the next podcast.
- 36:14The next podcast. Walk me through this.
- 36:17Like how does this happen? Like how is this possible?
- 36:20So because there's obviously hundreds and hundreds of names
- 36:23and there's many, many names that have 6 letters and what did
- 36:26I do? What did I say?
- 36:27Like how did you pick up on the cues?
- 36:32So I'm fishing for information similar to when I tell it to
- 36:35think to count, count the numbers of letters or things
- 36:38like that. I see.
- 36:38Oh, you just had a pause. You just thought it is, is it 5
- 36:42or is it 6? But I do know it is in the range
- 36:45of like 5 or 6. How did you know the range of 5
- 36:47or 6? Because the time it takes is
- 36:48someone that thinks of three letters.
- 36:50For example, if I have objects on the table, let's say I have
- 36:53three and two right to your brain could let's say 5 objects.
- 36:57My brain could combine three and two.
- 36:59It's like 03 and 2 2/5 or two and two, four, or I just see
- 37:04three. But once you go over 5, there is
- 37:07let's say 5 or 6. Now you start thinking that's
- 37:09like I have 6. It's like, wait, it's 3:00 and
- 37:143:00 or it's just the whole thing.
- 37:16It depends. Also different people would
- 37:17think differently. But let's say with something
- 37:19like that, that's like, I see how long it takes to let's say
- 37:23you said if you would have said yes, I would say, OK, you're
- 37:27thinking of a four, three letter name.
- 37:29I know it's a short one. That's where I'm going for next.
- 37:32And then when they say the alphabet.
- 37:33I'm. But that narrows it down to
- 37:34still a lot of names. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 37:36For. Sure.
- 37:36And there's so many names, right Michael?
- 37:38I'm 7 letters, right? And then there is certain
- 37:43letters that I'm able to say. I can sense a certain letter
- 37:46when I say the alphabet you meaning.
- 37:48Throughout is there a letter U in there?
- 37:50What led you to ask me that? There's.
- 37:51Certain things you'll, you'll gesture with certain names that
- 37:54I'll be able to do right to like certain letters would bounce out
- 37:58much more than other letters and things like that that I'll be
- 38:00able to work with. And then, for example, I also I
- 38:04do a lot of like things with memory, you know, let's I, I
- 38:08didn't plan on doing this. Let's let's do it for fun.
- 38:10I'm just out of challenge. Do you have your phone on you?
- 38:13I do. So do you use ChatGPT a lot?
- 38:16Of course, we all use ChatGPT. We ask you questions, right?
- 38:19You ask me some questions in the beginning, yes, just for fun.
- 38:21I'll, I'll, I, I'll give an example to things I work and,
- 38:26and try meaning the things I practice and I and I try
- 38:29learning more and more in order to be able to perfect my skill.
- 38:32So, for example, I don't know, ask ChatGPT now it's your chat
- 38:36ChatGPT. It's not mine.
- 38:37We can't possibly know what's the what it is.
- 38:40It's going to answer right, right.
- 38:42Could you ask ChatGPT to give you, let's say I don't know, 15
- 38:46random? Objects.
- 38:49OK, give me 15 random objects all right.
- 38:55Does it give you have? 15 random objects.
- 38:57A rubber duck with trust issues. A slightly bent paper clip.
- 39:01OK, so it gives you, it gives you the like like an object and
- 39:07a little bit more about it exactly.
- 39:09So let's narrow it down. Ask him to not give you like
- 39:12the. Just just an object.
- 39:13It's using my your previous. It does hate how I behave
- 39:16exactly for sure. I always ask it to give me more.
- 39:20Just the object please. Sure.
- 39:23OK, so 15 objects. Just the object with paper clip
- 39:25notebook flash. OK, so before, before you even
- 39:27say yeah. So just that it's fair.
- 39:28Could you see anything in my ear?
- 39:30I don't have an earpiece. I don't have anything.
- 39:32No one's telling me anything. There's no like, I'm not a
- 39:34glasses or anything. I'm not.
- 39:35Pick up your hat. Let's check on the yes.
- 39:37Definitely. By the way, I'm not bored.
- 39:40Of like most. People that wear hats, you
- 39:41typically are hiding something. I know, but I'm not.
- 39:44I'm just good for you. But by the way, my hat says
- 39:48what's on your mind can see there and I didn't ask them to
- 39:51put this in. I bought it like this and a few
- 39:55months in I was like, oh, that's cool.
- 39:57What's on your mind? That's really, really cool.
- 39:58I guess on my mind there's. Hats.
- 40:00Literally. You know, so now what we're
- 40:03going to do is just a little practice so people at home could
- 40:05do it as well. Sure.
- 40:06Let's say they're gonna say objects one at a time.
- 40:10Yeah, I'm gonna say, OK, you're gonna say the next one.
- 40:12You're gonna say the next one. And then I'm gonna try just
- 40:15saying them back to you in the same order, for example.
- 40:19All right, So this list, this list, why not random list?
- 40:22Have you done this before? Not at this list.
- 40:24I'll tell you more about it in a second.
- 40:26No, any list. Sure his phone is.
- 40:27And what? Do you want him to do right?
- 40:29You're gonna say them one by one?
- 40:30Sure. I'm gonna say next.
- 40:31You're gonna say the next. One Right.
- 40:32OK Paper clip. OK.
- 40:35Notebook. OK.
- 40:39Flashlight. Yes.
- 40:42Bottle cap. OK, Key.
- 40:48One second, one second, we had a OK, we had a bottle cap and then
- 40:54we had a key, right? OK.
- 40:56We had a key tennis ball, OK. Pen.
- 41:05Yes. Coffee mug OK Sunglasses.
- 41:13Envelope OK. Charger yes.
- 41:21Wallet OK. Candle.
- 41:28OK. Pocket knife.
- 41:37OK, stapler. OK.
- 41:41Is that 15? Yep.
- 41:43There's no way. OK, now this is pure.
- 41:47As pure as it gets. Just number.
- 41:48I'm gonna try. I might get stuck and I don't
- 41:50need to do it. Sometimes I'm not as OK.
- 41:53So we started with a paper clip. We had a book.
- 41:58We had a flashlight, We had a cap, right?
- 42:02We had a key. We had a tennis ball.
- 42:05We had a pen. We had a coffee mug.
- 42:10We had sunglasses. We had an envelope.
- 42:13We had a charger. We had a wallet.
- 42:15Is there any more? Yes, we had a pocket knife.
- 42:26Skipped one. What was the one beforehand?
- 42:28Candle. A candle.
- 42:29OK, had a pocket knife. We had a stapler.
- 42:33Maybe that's it. That's it.
- 42:34That's it. All right.
- 42:34Wow. 14 for 15, That's pretty damn good.
- 42:37And technically, I could do it the opposite.
- 42:38So we have a stapler, we have a pocket knife, we have a candle,
- 42:41we have a wallet, we have an envelope.
- 42:47We have a charger, a charger, we have an envelope.
- 42:51We'll have a second. We had an envelope.
- 42:57Remind me there? Sunglasses.
- 42:59Sunglasses. We had a coffee mug.
- 43:01We had a pen. We had a tennis ball.
- 43:04We had a tennis ball. We had a key.
- 43:09We had a cap. We had a flashlight.
- 43:13We had a book. We had a paper clip.
- 43:15Wow, that's crazy. So that's a.
- 43:18Skill that you've worked on your whole life to learn how to.
- 43:21We have a game at home we like to call Mayor Schneider where
- 43:24you go around the room and everybody picks a character and
- 43:28one person has to remember all the people and it's always fun
- 43:31for the one person to go around to remember all the names of
- 43:33people said. Can you come up and play Mary
- 43:35Schneider with us because that would be fun.
- 43:37Definitely. I mean that that is very, very
- 43:40cool, the fact. Is that something you learned
- 43:41how to do or is UF photographic memory?
- 43:43I grew up, by the way. This is something and, and, and
- 43:46I really we want every kid in the world to know.
- 43:49If I could help someone with that I would love to.
- 43:53We have a couple in our audience today, so they're listening.
- 43:55In general. So I'll tell you, I, I as a kid,
- 43:59I was, I wasn't great at studying because I didn't know
- 44:03how to study. Wasn't I think every kid and
- 44:06anyone, anyone and every kid could learn how to study.
- 44:11And if you study how to study, it would really, really help
- 44:14you. And I think in school we don't
- 44:15learn how to study. And there's also nowadays
- 44:20there's so many distractions right now.
- 44:22Our brain is not used to memorizing.
- 44:25You scroll on social media through video, 3 videos down.
- 44:28You don't remember the, the one, the, the, the first one you
- 44:32watched, right? Like what did I just watch?
- 44:34And you could you realize that your, your brain learns how not
- 44:37to remember things. I could promise you as kids, you
- 44:40tell me if it's true, you grew up as kids, you probably knew,
- 44:43let's say 10 or 15 phone numbers, your parents, your
- 44:47siblings, maybe some friends you used to go to their moms or
- 44:50random things. It's natural training nowadays.
- 44:55You don't remember any of them. You, you, it's, it's something
- 44:57that we we don't remember. And I met a friend that he told
- 45:03me, listen, you just need to start saying I do remember and
- 45:07it matters. Meaning if you say I remember
- 45:09and start thinking about like if once you say I don't remember
- 45:13anything, I, I just, I can't, that's that used to be me.
- 45:17I, oh, I just don't remember things.
- 45:19And you naturally give your brain the OK not to remember
- 45:22things. Then I started when he told me,
- 45:24he said, start saying I have a great memory.
- 45:29You don't have to go public about it.
- 45:30But you say I have a great memory.
- 45:31Yes, of course I'll remember this.
- 45:33Of course. And you train your brain to
- 45:35actually remember things. I could probably do a list like
- 45:39that. I could probably say 100 objects
- 45:41as well and just learning how to remember things.
- 45:43There's like many, many books and many, many things about
- 45:47memory, memory, games and things like that.
- 45:49And it's very different, let's say numbers to to names or, or
- 45:53phone numbers or things like that.
- 45:57So me with this ability of like memory and things like that, I
- 46:00could naturally kind of bring it back to Smoly.
- 46:03It's like I have certain things I could naturally like I
- 46:09remember, oh, that means this. That means that like many, many
- 46:12different gestures that helped me with working a crowd and
- 46:15working different types of people.
- 46:17Let's say when I work with crowds, there is I would say 70%
- 46:20is about who I pick to what thing, right?
- 46:23So I love before walk starting my show.
- 46:25Many times you'll see me come to the room.
- 46:27Many times I'll take my hat off. Just that no one knows I'm even
- 46:30there. Just stand in the room and I
- 46:32watch the crowd. I watch the people come in, I
- 46:34watch the people sit. How do they sit?
- 46:35How do they interact? Would it be a person that goes
- 46:39like crazy or is a person that's, I'm gonna say Shmuley
- 46:43and he's gonna be like, wow, right.
- 46:45You need a because it's happening in their brain.
- 46:48You wanna see who's gonna work with you and what type of
- 46:52response you'll get. Yeah.
- 46:53So suddenly when you start performing, you realize that a
- 46:56lot of it is about who you pick and how you do things rather
- 46:59than what you do. Yeah, that makes sense.
- 47:02You gotta get something that's gonna.
- 47:03So your message for kids, I'm just repeating this again is
- 47:06when you're studying, you're saying to repeat to yourself, I
- 47:10have good memory, I will remember everything I'm
- 47:12studying. Yes, I just believe you really.
- 47:15You really like. I have great memory memory and
- 47:18I'll be able to remember. It's a great tip if it works.
- 47:22I mean, it sounds like a good idea.
- 47:23My 7th grade teacher, Mr. Ostrov, used to tell us use the
- 47:27same pen. And studies show if you use the
- 47:30same pen, it'll help you memorize what you're doing.
- 47:33So yeah, but because he said it, I made sure not to use the same.
- 47:36But you still. Remember, I'm hearing him,
- 47:38Michael. It's not so much like the tip of
- 47:41telling yourself and that's like a a way to remember.
- 47:43It's more about giving yourself confidence.
- 47:45Yeah, confidence more about talking to yourself and, and,
- 47:47and willing yourself that you're able to overcome and that will
- 47:51you to actually be able to get it done versus being your own
- 47:53civic and being and telling your brain that you're not getting
- 47:56together anyway. And that's just how it reacts.
- 47:57And that's what it knows. That's to be training you to do.
- 48:00So so and I think it translates to many, many different areas.
- 48:03I used to do martial arts for about 12 years.
- 48:07I used to do martial arts for like for a really long time.
- 48:10And one thing that also one of my teachers taught me, he said
- 48:13when you watch your opponent, you want to watch their face
- 48:17more than you watch their hands and legs, right?
- 48:19Once you see their leg, it's two leg too late.
- 48:23If you'll watch their face, you could see much more like what
- 48:27they're about to do according to how they'll react.
- 48:29And it's something also just training their memory like
- 48:32muscle, muscles and knowing how to you're not you, you they call
- 48:37it, how do you call it muscle memory where you just naturally
- 48:42know what to do. It's like it's too fast to
- 48:44think. You just know naturally what to
- 48:45do. So what?
- 48:46Belt did you get up to by the way?
- 48:48I was black. You were black.
- 48:49Black. It's it's it translates to black
- 48:51in the in Israel. No, in the normal martial arts
- 48:55things I was gonna say. Israel, it's yellow here.
- 48:57It's. Black It's a Brazilian martial
- 48:59arts, but it's not an official martial art that goes into,
- 49:03into, into the Olympics, for example, because there's too
- 49:06many like group, they never managed to create one group of,
- 49:10of that martial arts in order to have like a proper like
- 49:14whatever. So what I wanted to say is that
- 49:18I, I used to train kids. I used to train kids and, and
- 49:21adults and one of the things I really, really believe in is
- 49:24that a kid needs to like the confidence he just have by
- 49:30knowing he could do something makes them able to do it.
- 49:34I used to have kids, I used to tell them, OK, do this, do that.
- 49:36They're like, oh, I can't, I, I can't, I can't.
- 49:38And then they just, they, they shut it down and like they
- 49:41actually can't because they say I can't.
- 49:43But when you train your brain into like, OK, I break it into
- 49:48little many, many steps and you and many times by teaching, I
- 49:53could teach something without even telling you What's the end
- 49:55goal, right? So it's like just do this.
- 49:58Amazing. Could you do that?
- 49:59Yes. Now do this and then do that,
- 50:01and then do this and do that and then do that.
- 50:04Meaning they slowly, slowly build something and they're
- 50:06like, oh, I just did that. They're surprising themselves.
- 50:09I don't really. Realize, but it's it's just like
- 50:12learning how to break the process for for them, whatever.
- 50:14But we we went into a totally different like area.
- 50:17But any meaning. Those are things that I also
- 50:20that help me a lot with what I do and how I do.
- 50:22Yeah, it's something. Do you have like an off button?
- 50:26Like for me and Michael, we come to the office and we work 9 to
- 50:285, right? 5:00 we go home and we do
- 50:30whatever we're doing. That's it, right?
- 50:32You're like working all the time because your whole persona is
- 50:35you like this is your your core being.
- 50:38You're a performer. Like if you go on the streets,
- 50:40you'll pull somebody over and you'll perform like, when are
- 50:42you like? How do you balance that of being
- 50:45you as a private person, as an individual person, versus you
- 50:49the performer? I think also I want to add to
- 50:51that what you're asking just to clarify, because we're not nine
- 50:53to five people, but we're saying.
- 50:55Yeah, and I. Want to clarify that because a
- 50:57celebrity walks down the street and gets stopped, I can take a
- 51:00picture with you. You're not only a celebrity,
- 51:02which people know you a lot, but you're also a performer, so they
- 51:05ask you to do something. I take a selfie.
- 51:07Exactly. Oh, can you also do something
- 51:08for me? No one's asking me to show.
- 51:10Me a trick. Show me a trick.
- 51:11No one's asking us to analyze. My age, I don't know.
- 51:13No one's asking us to analyze their expenses at 12:00 at
- 51:16night, you know, at a wedding. But by him, it's like, oh, do a
- 51:18trick, do a thing. It's a great question.
- 51:20I happen to think I explained it fine.
- 51:21My question, I'm not so sure what, he added.
- 51:24You diminished yourself. You said 9 to 5 is when you
- 51:26think of work. No, but I think I understood
- 51:27what I meant by that. Yeah, literally.
- 51:29I think he he he cared about the nine to five thing we don't you
- 51:33want. Yeah, exactly.
- 51:35We didn't. Want people to know the 9:00?
- 51:36Yourselves exactly exactly thank you for picking up on the
- 51:39nuances you should be our therapist by the way you should
- 51:41come more often well it. Feels nice.
- 51:43Is that a third thing you do? You?
- 51:44You're a mentalist to karate. Martial arts real estate.
- 51:47What about therapy? I do, I do things.
- 51:50I as a kid, I grew up with no screens and my parents really,
- 51:56really, really cared for my hobbies.
- 51:59Like I learned piano, I play the drums I actually like.
- 52:03I play, I, there's like many, many areas and I find that with
- 52:07no screen, you're just OK. So what do I do?
- 52:10Find yourself playing with kids. You play with things, you do
- 52:13things. It's, I think I would never have
- 52:16read, never have read that many books like I did if I would have
- 52:22a screen or watch movies or TV's or TV.
- 52:27And I think that I don't know, it's just, it's just like lots
- 52:33of time that you learn how to. If we don't have, I find myself
- 52:38nowadays I sit on a flight and I'm like, I don't have my phone.
- 52:41It's like, oh wow, what did I do now?
- 52:44And you know, you have 12 hours and it's not Chavez.
- 52:46It's like just a random day of the week.
- 52:49And it's like, Oh my God, what did I do?
- 52:51You try reading on the fly and it's like, I can't read as much
- 52:54as I used to. I can't focus on reading that
- 52:57much, right? Or I can't.
- 52:58It's like we're used to not being we we train ourselves not
- 53:03to be able to do that. And I think that learning how to
- 53:07disconnect, which I'm also very bad at, it's like, it's not that
- 53:10I come in and I'm like, yeah, sure, just turn your phone off.
- 53:13Do that. I believe that every time, every
- 53:15time I do need to think about like my next show and next thing
- 53:18I do or, or practice, I'm like, OK, I have to put my phone
- 53:22aside. Otherwise I could never get this
- 53:24done. Just like put it aside.
- 53:25And I'm like, and I'll write, I'll use pen and paper in order
- 53:29to put my ideas out there and things like that.
- 53:32And that really, really helps to answer your question.
- 53:40Basically there is, I would say I'm much more private than it
- 53:44seems online. Like many, I don't do
- 53:47lifestyles, so it's very different.
- 53:48Lifestyle influencers, they'll talk about everything.
- 53:51They'll talk about their kids, they'll talk about their
- 53:53clothing, they'll talk about everything.
- 53:56I can I use social media in order to to help me with what I
- 54:01do and because I love I social media.
- 54:03Technically for me, it's like, OK, how would people see a
- 54:06certain video? How will they they'll, they'll
- 54:09meaning has to be short, has to be long.
- 54:11This one. You want them to meaning there's
- 54:14psychology behind that as well. So I'm like fascinated by the
- 54:17way people watch because that's where everyone is.
- 54:23So I'm not as public about everything in my life.
- 54:25And sometimes I'm like, technically people don't really
- 54:28know me. They know what I do.
- 54:29It's a funny line. And it's always weird when
- 54:32people come up to you on the stream and they're like, hey,
- 54:35Michael, how are you doing? And I'm like, wait, who is this
- 54:38person? I have to play.
- 54:39I met him. Yes, I met them there.
- 54:41But I yes. Or if I don't know them, I'm
- 54:44like, OK, wait a second, I don't know where I know them from.
- 54:48But then they, they came up to me as if they know me and I know
- 54:51them. I'm like, OK, how do I manage
- 54:54this, this situation without being like stupid?
- 54:58Because I saw them last night in an event, right?
- 55:00Like, how do you, how do you deal with it?
- 55:02So first of all, just being very nice.
- 55:05Like you're just always nice and you're just hopefully polite.
- 55:09But I think that for me, it's not hard when people come up to
- 55:15me and they're like, know you, would you do something?
- 55:18I'm very, I learned to be very straightforward.
- 55:20If it doesn't, if it, if it's not right for me, I'll say no.
- 55:25Like, OK, sure, I'll take a whatever, but I'm not, I'm not
- 55:28going to just do a trick for you.
- 55:30Stop and do. I'm not a lap dog.
- 55:33Not even many times, many times I would meaning I would do it,
- 55:37but I'll, I'll really pay attention to my surroundings
- 55:40because I learned that the, the like, as much as I enjoy,
- 55:46basically it's I put lots of work into being where I am
- 55:49today. And now it's a reward when
- 55:51people come and say hi. But then at the same time I'm
- 55:54like, wait, my wife is here, my kid is here, my just siblings,
- 55:59whatever. And now I, I made everyone
- 56:01stopped and wait, right? It's uncomfortable for me and
- 56:03it's not right. So slowly, slowly, I learned
- 56:06when to stop and when to say yes, Sir, let's take a victory
- 56:09and keep going or things like that.
- 56:10But I'm not like I, I, I find it very like, I love it.
- 56:14Like I love when people. I, I always say it on my
- 56:17Instagram. It's like, if you see me come
- 56:19say hi. I love it.
- 56:20I really appreciate it. And I think it's, it's like I
- 56:23feel like a pat on my shoulder saying, yes, someone recognize
- 56:26me and they and they mention. About this you enjoyed this.
- 56:29This is this is fun for you. It's a sport for you.
- 56:31This is not just a job. It's not just a persona that
- 56:34you're putting out there. This is this is what you are.
- 56:36This is what you want to be known for.
- 56:38You know, I'm a big, huge fan of like these variety shows, like
- 56:45America's Got Talent, for example.
- 56:47I've watched, I don't know, almost in every single episode
- 56:49at some point, I've watched a highlight of all the different
- 56:51acts. And you have all kinds of acts
- 56:53to come out of there. You have singers, you have
- 56:55dancers, and you have people, you know, acrobatics and all
- 56:59crazy things. And it's really shocking to see
- 57:01how many talented people there are out there.
- 57:03It's really fascinating. There's so many cool things that
- 57:05people can do, like like a lame duck, and I can't do any of this
- 57:09stuff. It's pretty, pretty wild.
- 57:11But from time to time you see mentalists that come on there
- 57:15and you see illusionists. You see like magicians, and
- 57:18sometimes the magicians by the way, like their performances,
- 57:21it's more than just the magic, the way they incorporate it into
- 57:23like dance as well. And they also like they, they
- 57:26synchronize it with like the music and the lighting and it
- 57:29just like there's a lot of flair to it.
- 57:31It becomes very dramatic. But the mentalist specifically
- 57:33always stand out because it's more talking and they're
- 57:36engaging the judges, they're engaging the crowd.
- 57:39And I've seen some of these like wild things.
- 57:41And sometimes I, I, there's got to be more to it because it's
- 57:43got to be a trick. This can't be real.
- 57:46It doesn't make sense. Like they're psychic.
- 57:47It's like they have a crystal ball.
- 57:49Like you know, there there's nobody in the world that's like
- 57:51that who in your mind is like just amazing, the best like you
- 57:56and awe of them. But you would appreciate it more
- 57:58than anyone else 'cause you know the art forms and you could
- 58:01recognize the good from the amazing from the extraordinary.
- 58:04So in your mind like who's a must see?
- 58:06Like who's a generational talent in the mentalist game?
- 58:10That's this is it. This is your idol, so to speak.
- 58:16I think I take a lot of, how do you call it, like inspiration
- 58:20from many, many other artists and performers, meaning let's
- 58:26say when I see, let's say there's Bruno Mars.
- 58:28I love Bruno Mars because Bruno Mars, he has his music.
- 58:33Some people love his music, some people don't, but I think that
- 58:35let's say who? Doesn't like his music.
- 58:37Some people don't get him out. Get him out.
- 58:38How do you not like Bruno Mars? Do you love Bruno Mars?
- 58:40What does that mean? But I find I find, let's say,
- 58:43Bruno Mars. He is an amazing, amazing,
- 58:46amazing performer lighting wise, dancing wise, like everything,
- 58:51every single thing is thought out full package.
- 58:53And I and I've heard him speak in the past saying he he doesn't
- 58:59give anyone the control to do the things that he really,
- 59:02really cares about. Now, in general, that's not my
- 59:06way of thinking. I think the more if, if you're
- 59:09the smartest person in your business, your business is not
- 59:12it's, it's not the best business that could be out there because
- 59:15there's other people that are better than you in other areas
- 59:18that would be much better and helpful to do what you can't do.
- 59:23But I think there's some exceptions.
- 59:25So Bruno Mars, for example, he does his choreography, like his
- 59:29dancing moves, the lighting's, the sound.
- 59:32He, he really, really cares for every single piece in what he
- 59:35does. And I think he's, he's an
- 59:38inspired, like he, I'm inspired by him with many of those
- 59:42elements, really. And I think also that it
- 59:47happened. It's funny because when I go to
- 59:49watch a show, when I go watch, let's say a Broadway show or
- 59:52just I watch whatever, I'm always thinking about everything
- 59:55else except for the performance. Like I watch the performance,
- 59:59but I'm like, Oh, the lights just turned on now.
- 1:00:01And this happened here and that happened there.
- 1:00:04And you suddenly when you perform, you realize more and
- 1:00:06more it's, it's like, oh, what's the feeling now?
- 1:00:08Boom, the lights are this color now.
- 1:00:10It means more like serious than it's like bright and nice.
- 1:00:14And the music is exactly the right thing where makes you feel
- 1:00:17a certain things, a certain thing.
- 1:00:18If I want to make you, let's say, feel something before I
- 1:00:21even get into the that part of my ACT.
- 1:00:24I have this thing where I don't do it that often where I I'll
- 1:00:28use, let's say a Russian roulette type of thing.
- 1:00:32But so many people do it with like breaking someone's object
- 1:00:36or things like that. I used to love doing it with
- 1:00:38like danger, so like staple guns stapling like to my head or
- 1:00:44someone's hand or things like that.
- 1:00:46I don't do that anymore. But if you have the right music
- 1:00:50before you start that piece, it's very dramatic.
- 1:00:53It's very like certain lights and and it just makes the the
- 1:00:57feeling of the effects so much bigger than just OK, so let's do
- 1:01:01this cool thing. And this is like, let's take a,
- 1:01:04you know, it's you could be like that, but I care for the
- 1:01:07experience much more than the the effect is like it needs to
- 1:01:10be combined. So yeah, I think I think many
- 1:01:15different artists from many different areas, and I do love,
- 1:01:18love, love old style musicians and specific areas less like
- 1:01:24jazz and things like that, because I think they had, let's
- 1:01:30say, Elvis Presley, right? Elvis Presley, for example, his
- 1:01:34music is great, but there's there's also so much more except
- 1:01:39for the, the, the, the like singing, like the dancing and
- 1:01:43the moving and the doing right And you realize the pattern even
- 1:01:46if there there's something you wouldn't do, but to learn how to
- 1:01:50take from that and from them in order to do.
- 1:01:52Stuff like that, yeah. You're taking bits and pieces
- 1:01:54from from others and you're formulating it into your own
- 1:01:56style, into your own creative way.
- 1:01:58That's that's fantastic. Oh, she can I get interrupt one
- 1:02:01second? Have you, did you ever try or
- 1:02:03think about trying out for America's Got Talent?
- 1:02:07I've tried in the past and I was also told to do it many, many
- 1:02:11times and I hit a point that at at some point where I was like,
- 1:02:16I don't know if it's right to do it.
- 1:02:18I would do it. Maybe, maybe I would, but I I
- 1:02:23don't know that it's something like I'm I'm.
- 1:02:26You nervous? Is that too big of a crowd?
- 1:02:29Is that too big of a? Like I could do, I could do any,
- 1:02:31any, any sort of crowd. It's just like.
- 1:02:34What's the hesitancy? I think it's more, it's more
- 1:02:37like I'm at a point where suddenly when you go to
- 1:02:42Britain's Got Talent, Oregon, America's Got Talent, you're
- 1:02:45competing with other people, which is totally fine to
- 1:02:48compete. And I'm not a competitive type
- 1:02:49of person, like naturally, but I'm, it's like, OK, they're
- 1:02:56going to perform, but I'm going to perform.
- 1:02:59Some of us are going to move forward.
- 1:03:00Some of us are going to move backward for the exposure.
- 1:03:02Maybe I'll do it, but it's all about that.
- 1:03:05I don't know. It's, it's like what I, I don't
- 1:03:08know. I, I just, it's like a feeling.
- 1:03:10Should I do it? Should I not do it?
- 1:03:11Is it fake? Is it not fake?
- 1:03:13Because there is a lot of like fake happening there as well,
- 1:03:16right? So like they make it a crowd
- 1:03:18many times, clap their hands, they make it, I don't know, like
- 1:03:21it's tricky where I might in the future, maybe have you.
- 1:03:24Ever been on a smaller talent show?
- 1:03:26Ever did any of those? I've done a talent show in the
- 1:03:30past, but not like any anything anyone would, no.
- 1:03:32I'm curious. It's another question we got
- 1:03:34from one of our listeners is if you had nothing with you, right,
- 1:03:39like no objects, no phones, no markers, what would be that
- 1:03:43thing that you would do? What would you?
- 1:03:47What trick would you do? Yeah, what trick would you do?
- 1:03:49What would that show be? Like so it depends what do you
- 1:03:52mean no objects meaning just words.
- 1:03:54Could I tell someone in you Probably I could do stuff and I
- 1:03:57could do stuff. It's just that the way you train
- 1:04:01yourself to do things with For example, if I'll ask someone to
- 1:04:06stare at something or do stuff like that, it helps me with the
- 1:04:09way of reading them. So if they do nothing where
- 1:04:12we're just. Well, I could steer, but no
- 1:04:14objects. I could steer at anything in the
- 1:04:15room, but it's nothing, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:04:17So those things are things I could do, meaning no objects, no
- 1:04:20nothing, right. And I do it a lot.
- 1:04:22I do it a lot, actually, where you're doing.
- 1:04:24I just tell people trying to think something that would be
- 1:04:28those things specifically would be much more tricky.
- 1:04:31Yeah, with like OK, I need to. Well, you're asking an artist to
- 1:04:35paint with that as paintbrush. Why can't he?
- 1:04:37No, I'm asking if the. Artist, can I?
- 1:04:38I'll tell you why and I'll go into depth from why because I
- 1:04:41think many people, they say, OK, if he uses things in general, it
- 1:04:46means it's not, it's not real. And that's a thing that I
- 1:04:50totally understand. Totally agree.
- 1:04:54It's just a different way and process in order to get to
- 1:04:58information when you do it. Meaning when I ask you, let's
- 1:05:01say to just think of a name, right, or just think of
- 1:05:04something. For example, when I tell someone
- 1:05:06to think of a shape or something like that, then I'm actually,
- 1:05:10I'm tracking a certain way, a certain like it's a reverse
- 1:05:13psychology of like how they think and what they think to
- 1:05:17make them not bounce off of like I have one thing and now I'm
- 1:05:21bouncing off of like different pieces of information or things
- 1:05:24like that. So let's say if I ask them to
- 1:05:28write something immediately, I could tell you, OK, boom, I
- 1:05:31could get something really, really fast.
- 1:05:32If I don't, I could do it much of it's gonna be much longer
- 1:05:37process. Process, right?
- 1:05:38Right. How long is?
- 1:05:39Your show. Typically if you do a show for
- 1:05:40someone. My show is an hour, an hour long
- 1:05:44specific events I'll do like an hour, 15 an hour and it has.
- 1:05:48A long time you can carry a show for an hour.
- 1:05:50Yeah, an hour 20, that's like where I would find that you do a
- 1:05:55bit longer. That's it.
- 1:05:56Yeah. You start losing people.
- 1:05:57But let's say I when I have shows where people come
- 1:06:01especially for the show, like people would buy tickets or
- 1:06:04things like that, then it's actually OK, they'll come only
- 1:06:08for an hour. Would they come only for like
- 1:06:09what's the usually a, a proper concert or a proper thing would
- 1:06:13be like an hour and a half, I think or an hour or 40 or
- 1:06:15whatever. I would recommend doing like an
- 1:06:20hour show or even less sometimes, but not because of
- 1:06:24the material as much as the audience just loses patience no
- 1:06:28matter how interesting the show is, especially when it's not in
- 1:06:31the setting of like Broadway show or something like that.
- 1:06:34Because when you're in a Broadway show, everything is
- 1:06:37like like everything's dark. You only see the stage, right?
- 1:06:40But if you let me ask. Something a little personal, if
- 1:06:44I may go for it. And I'm like a little bit of a
- 1:06:46shallower person in general. So that's probably where my
- 1:06:48mind's going here. OK.
- 1:06:50So you know, it's very nice to be talented and it's really
- 1:06:54cool. And not everybody, you know, can
- 1:06:58have the claim that you do of, you know, you're in the streets
- 1:07:01and you're meeting people and you're making people happy like
- 1:07:03this. This is great, but let's let's
- 1:07:05let's talk real for a moment. You know, we, we got to make
- 1:07:07some money out of this. We got, we got to monetize and.
- 1:07:11I want to, I want to cut that there's.
- 1:07:12Got to be a business at the end of the day.
- 1:07:15Is that does that motivate you? And what if I told you, you
- 1:07:18know, Michael, what you're doing is amazing, It's fantastic.
- 1:07:20And you're going to travel all over the world and you're going
- 1:07:22to perform for people, but you're never really going to
- 1:07:25make a big living out of this. You're never going to make a
- 1:07:27whole lot, you know, and you're going to have a regular play.
- 1:07:29Are you still in it? Are you still like, is that,
- 1:07:32what is this? How far into this are you that
- 1:07:35you're willing to just make it all about this and, and never,
- 1:07:39you know, want more? Or is there a is there a goal
- 1:07:41here that if you don't reach, you're gonna stop at a certain
- 1:07:43point and shift careers, so to speak?
- 1:07:45First of all, there's there's two things.
- 1:07:47There is OK, I need to make a living, right?
- 1:07:50And then there is a totally different goal of just I love
- 1:07:53what I do still like I, I, I'm so passionate about what it,
- 1:07:57what I do that first of all, I would never stop.
- 1:07:59Even if I wouldn't get paid, I wouldn't, I'm sure I would keep
- 1:08:02doing it even if I would have done anything else, which
- 1:08:05doesn't seem like I would anytime soon.
- 1:08:08But like I love what I do and I do so much of what I do without
- 1:08:14getting paid where I just the street stuff, for example, right
- 1:08:18there is exposure and there is stuff, but the amount, the
- 1:08:20amount of times I just I just went out with like some friends
- 1:08:23on Thursday, Thursday night, went to like this bar and I was
- 1:08:29just doing things, no cameras, no nothing.
- 1:08:33And I just see people. I love it.
- 1:08:34I do it. There's no LIKE end result of
- 1:08:37LIKE. It's authentic.
- 1:08:38It's authentic. I absolutely love it and I'm and
- 1:08:40I'm sure I would. I keep doing it probably
- 1:08:43forever. You know if I if I'm able to
- 1:08:46bezlat to Sam. What's the biggest paycheck you
- 1:08:49got? I can't tell you, Michael.
- 1:08:53Right there. Mind your own business.
- 1:08:55Exactly. And you only get to use that
- 1:08:57once, by the way. So the next time we ask you
- 1:09:00something like that, you're gonna have to share.
- 1:09:02We're gonna have to wrap up soon.
- 1:09:03So first of all, do you have any questions for us?
- 1:09:06Yes, I want you to think of a shape, OK?
- 1:09:09I told her. I don't think of a shape, right?
- 1:09:12Like any question, any question for us, right?
- 1:09:14Usually it's a. Little different than think of a
- 1:09:16shape. There's many shapes.
- 1:09:17They told you. Let's say think of a shape.
- 1:09:19So many people would go like to think, let's say I have a deck
- 1:09:24of shapes, right? So you'll go through a deck of
- 1:09:26shapes and you're like, OK, I'm gonna go with something that for
- 1:09:28sure I won't forget and I won't. And I'll be able to to remember,
- 1:09:32right. So naturally when I say think of
- 1:09:35a shape, you immediately think of a shape, right?
- 1:09:37Yeah. So you have a shape in mind.
- 1:09:39Is there any way I could possibly know what you're
- 1:09:41thinking of? No, but you're probably going to
- 1:09:45have it narrowed down to 3 or 4 shapes that most people will
- 1:09:48come up with when a quick answer like that, you say either a
- 1:09:50circle, you'll say a square, a triangle and that's pretty much
- 1:09:53it, right, Thanks for. Giving it away.
- 1:09:55What? I'm kidding.
- 1:09:56No, I'm just. I'm just.
- 1:09:57Is it one of those? It's one of those, yeah, OK.
- 1:09:59But of course it is. This has nothing to do with what
- 1:10:01we did earlier in terms of picking a.
- 1:10:02Card, Michael, isn't that 90%? You could do.
- 1:10:05You could do those for example and then.
- 1:10:07Because before we started, you had a deck of cards, cards with
- 1:10:09different shapes. You asked me to pick 1 and I
- 1:10:10have one that I'm you. Have one on you.
- 1:10:12I told you to have one and not to show me, not even to give it
- 1:10:15to me. That's not.
- 1:10:15Right around. That's not what you're asking me
- 1:10:17now though, are you? No.
- 1:10:17No, no, just a random a random shape.
- 1:10:19No, right now I'm thinking of what?
- 1:10:21Out of the blue, Yeah, That's gonna lead us into learning
- 1:10:23that, right. OK.
- 1:10:24Yeah, because for example, for those that don't know.
- 1:10:26What did you think of? Did you think of like?
- 1:10:28A square, square, square. Yeah, OK.
- 1:10:31Would you say you're a naturally like a numbers person or more
- 1:10:36like an artist? An artist, An artist.
- 1:10:39OK, now when I told you to actually pick a drawing, did you
- 1:10:48see other things that made you think, OK, I wanna think of that
- 1:10:51drawing? Or are you an immediate artist?
- 1:10:53OK, now when I told you to actually pick a drawing.
- 1:11:02Yeah, something else took out, but then I ended up going with
- 1:11:04something else. OK, so now I do.
- 1:11:07So there is like an option of getting it wrong.
- 1:11:11Yeah. Now I told you to start it and
- 1:11:14make sure and remember everything about it, details or
- 1:11:16everything? Yes.
- 1:11:18Would you be able to draw that drawing again?
- 1:11:21Yes, OK. Unlike Joe Sutton, I can draw
- 1:11:24OK. If you remember, he drew the
- 1:11:25guitar. OK, something else.
- 1:11:32So I'll do this. Could you take your hand, your
- 1:11:39right hand, for example, and could you draw a circle in the
- 1:11:43air? OK, if you had to draw a
- 1:11:46triangle, could you go with a triangle?
- 1:11:50And last one, could you go with a square?
- 1:11:55OK, let's let's try this. I'm going to give you the pad
- 1:12:03like that. But before I'll do something
- 1:12:06here, let's say I'll I'll do that.
- 1:12:12Now I really want to stick. I want you to stick to whatever
- 1:12:14it is you're thinking of and interesting.
- 1:12:20I'm going to do that, not just the to confused you a little bit
- 1:12:27and I'll give you the marker like that, OK?
- 1:12:29I want to. Get the table through it, can't
- 1:12:33you? It's the biggest sharpie.
- 1:12:34Biggest Sharpie. In my life.
- 1:12:35Where'd you get that? OK, I will have a drawing in
- 1:12:38mind. Could you draw it now?
- 1:12:44Thanks for saying. OK, you could literally go with
- 1:12:46anything, right? Yeah.
- 1:12:47Could you show us all what's the drawing?
- 1:12:49It's. The heart?
- 1:12:50Really. Whoa.
- 1:12:52Pull it down. Put it down because they don't
- 1:12:53see your face when you're like wow.
- 1:12:55Well, I'll show you. The best part is from the deck
- 1:12:57of cards that you made me pick in the beginning.
- 1:13:00There you go, you'll go. You have a heart.
- 1:13:03Wow. What's crazy is I saw the Star
- 1:13:04of David in that deck and I almost picked it and you're
- 1:13:07like, you keep going, you want to keep going.
- 1:13:08And I'm like, yeah. And then I picked the heart
- 1:13:09without you saying 100%. That's pretty amazing.
- 1:13:12And you kept it by you. You didn't give me back or
- 1:13:14anything. That way I could hold the brake.
- 1:13:16Or something. It's been by me the whole time.
- 1:13:17Yeah, you could keep it. Wow.
- 1:13:19Thank you. Can you sign?
- 1:13:20Can you sign it for? Me, we also keep those gigantic
- 1:13:22sharpie, gigantic sharpie what I'm gonna do because I.
- 1:13:25Learned that when I do probably if I use like a small Sharpie,
- 1:13:28there's like a reflections and like you use like a big one, it
- 1:13:32does it does a little bit more of an impression.
- 1:13:34Michael, this has been very eye opening for us and it was a
- 1:13:38pleasure getting to know you and I'm, you know, I'm looking
- 1:13:41forward to the big things that you're gonna be doing.
- 1:13:43And and you know, I think the way we look at it is the big
- 1:13:45stage for you is the quality of the work that you're doing.
- 1:13:49That's the big stage. Appreciate it.
- 1:13:50And you know, there's one thing we have to ask you before we let
- 1:13:55you go. And if you follow our podcast,
- 1:13:57you'll know we don't let you leave until we ask you to pick a
- 1:14:00guest that you think would be a good guest to fill your seat on
- 1:14:05the None of Your Business podcast.
- 1:14:07If you could think of anybody, who would that be and why?
- 1:14:11How many seconds do you have? You have as many seconds as you
- 1:14:13wish, but the passwords we're going to guess fair.
- 1:14:18Enough. You could try.
- 1:14:18You could try. Stuff like, OK, write down, you
- 1:14:20know what, write down who you're, who you're you're going
- 1:14:23to pick and we'll guess. Trying to think who would I?
- 1:14:28Who would I go with? Someone that you know, someone
- 1:14:31that you met, someone you know. I actually peeked at your
- 1:14:35Instagram page earlier and I saw you met a lot of interesting
- 1:14:39people throughout your days. I see Gary Vee in there.
- 1:14:43Gary Vee, OH. My gosh, who's that You want to
- 1:14:45get him for us? Gary Vaynerchuk.
- 1:14:47Can you get him? I don't know that I could get
- 1:14:49him. It was it was very spontaneous.
- 1:14:52Yeah, spontaneous. It wasn't spontaneous.
- 1:14:54We were called to his office, but it was in the way it worked.
- 1:14:57We walked up to his office and it was like, OK, you have this
- 1:15:01and this time to do this and this thing and try that.
- 1:15:05And I spoke to the people in the, in the waiting room, like
- 1:15:08not the waiting room. The, the people working for him
- 1:15:10had like probably 300, four, 400 people working for him on that
- 1:15:16floor. And his personal assistant.
- 1:15:19She said, by the way, you should know if Gary goes to the
- 1:15:22bathroom for a bit too long, he's behind his schedule the
- 1:15:26whole day like his, his time is like like that.
- 1:15:32So we were, it was me and my friend David Carmi.
- 1:15:36He's the the guy that does what makes you confidence.
- 1:15:38He does like what makes the confidence, right?
- 1:15:40He's over 1.3 million followers or something like that.
- 1:15:44So we were both called as like streets people that do a lot of
- 1:15:48things on the street and we were asked if we would do something
- 1:15:51with him and we did and it was amazing.
- 1:15:55But according to how his day was, I don't think I would I
- 1:16:00would be able to help with bringing him here.
- 1:16:02Oh, I see. There wasn't much time for
- 1:16:04chitchat. I imagine you basically no, it
- 1:16:05was like did you performance? You, you can't even believe it
- 1:16:08was like. And there was just him in the
- 1:16:09room. Either the performance.
- 1:16:10Yeah, it was me and him. I'm laughing.
- 1:16:12You're lucky he didn't have oats for breakfast.
- 1:16:13Who is? This person.
- 1:16:14Who is this person? Gary.
- 1:16:15Gary. Gary, Gary, he's one of the.
- 1:16:19Everyone listening here knows who he is.
- 1:16:20Gary Vee. Gary Vee?
- 1:16:22Yes. What does he do?
- 1:16:23He's an influencer, he's a leader, he's a sales, you know,
- 1:16:26mentor. He's amazing.
- 1:16:28So who is the other influence? Someone I would, I'm just
- 1:16:31curious who else you met besides him that's high up there.
- 1:16:34Is Gary V the top? I just did this week.
- 1:16:37I I met with whatever. I don't know if it's relevant,
- 1:16:40it's not relevant. She is a big model in Australia
- 1:16:43for example, very relevant. 20 million followers on where is.
- 1:16:49She wow I. Met I met Adam Sandler.
- 1:16:52Really. Many, many.
- 1:16:54Can we start the podcast over, please?
- 1:16:56Can we go back to the beginning? We need we need to have another
- 1:16:58podcast. What's?
- 1:16:59Going on over here. So did you actually get to know
- 1:17:01Adam Sandler or you just met him again also?
- 1:17:03So I met him a few times, a few times, a few times and it took a
- 1:17:08while until he actually cared about meaning.
- 1:17:11Not because he didn't care but he he meets so many people a
- 1:17:14day. Worse.
- 1:17:15Worse. Just like.
- 1:17:16So can you get Adam? I wish I could do.
- 1:17:19You have even have his number. Yeah, sure.
- 1:17:21Anyone. Yeah, no.
- 1:17:23But I'm trying to think. Let me think.
- 1:17:25What about the David guy that you mentioned?
- 1:17:26He seems like an interesting guy.
- 1:17:27I. Could definitely try.
- 1:17:28I could definitely ask him if it'll be IS.
- 1:17:31That someone relevant that you think would be good on a?
- 1:17:33I'm trying to think if he'll be interested.
- 1:17:36Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I'm sure he will, but I think
- 1:17:40he's like, he picks and choose very, very carefully what he
- 1:17:44does and what he doesn't do. Has he been on let's say a
- 1:17:47podcast similar? To He's done podcasts in the
- 1:17:51past. He's done TV.
- 1:17:53Yeah, he's done other things. Maybe let's give it a go.
- 1:17:55OK, let's do it right now. Let's do it like this.
- 1:17:58Right. Yes, that's the way to do it.
- 1:17:59You call him. That's I'm not gonna call him.
- 1:18:02I'm not gonna call him cuz I'm not gonna pull him on the spot,
- 1:18:04but I'll send him a message. That's literally the whole Part
- 1:18:061 SEC Before you do this, before you do this, before you do this.
- 1:18:08You know how we spoke about earlier about how to mirror
- 1:18:11things and how to accomplish things and take it from
- 1:18:14experience? If you message him, the chances
- 1:18:16are 50%. If you call him, the chances are
- 1:18:1851%. Well, I know, but I'm willing to
- 1:18:22take the risk. You are willing or you're not.
- 1:18:23Willing yes no cuz I actually I literally chat with him.
- 1:18:26So you're willing? To call him and take the risk.
- 1:18:27Are you willing to? No.
- 1:18:28I wouldn't. I wouldn't because first of all,
- 1:18:30I don't have. You can do a video message then
- 1:18:33maybe and we can say hello to him.
- 1:18:35You wanna do a why not video? All righty yes, what's up David?
- 1:18:41We're here in the podcast and these guys really want to have
- 1:18:44you on the podcast. So we're gonna hopefully we'll
- 1:18:48talk it out and you'll actually come here to this podcast.
- 1:18:50It was really great. It was like.
- 1:18:53I could see into the future and I can tell that you're gonna be
