- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: We got into grants because my business was struggling.
- 0:02[SPEAKER_01]: This child here's center that I had started putting in hardship.
- 0:05[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of people have dreams, but they allow the money to stop.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_01]: The biggest misconception is that you have to have this non-profit organization and be out in the community, feed the home with or give them bags of qualified for funding.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_01]: And it's just about your impact.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_01]: Just out here is teaching entrepreneurs how they can take those ideas that they have in their hip, put it on paper and get access to OPM other people's money to make their dreams come true.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_00]: The very thing that gets you fired is the very thing that's making you a more time millionaire.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_00]: The thing that you want it for yourself is the thing that you're actually helping other people do.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: I know you want to watch this next video, but listen, if you are an entrepreneur, business coach, business consultant, or a small business owner who has a story and wants to learn how to create multiple strings of income from your story, I need you to text me right now.

- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: That is my personal number.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_00]: I have been an author for over 12 years, I've written 10 books, four of them have been best sellers, and I've sold over 100,000 books.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_00]: But I've also helped a lot of my clients, take their expertise and put it into a story, then create multiple streams of income from that.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_00]: So I wanna help you do the same thing.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: So text my book to six, four, six, six, eight, seven, four, one, five, two.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_00]: I, let's go back to the video.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: So welcome to another awesome episode of Inside The Vault with Ashcast.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: The greatest money mine says show on the planet.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: Today's guest is a true definition of churning pain into power.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: She went from being a 15 year corporate banker to getting fired for simply sharing financial game and turned that set back into a 7th figure empire.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: She is now known across the country as the grant expert helping every day entrepreneur and not a five of a secure 50k to 100k in business grants with no loans No debt and no credit required her upcoming book fired from
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: Her upcoming bookfired into freedom is a raw and powerful story about how getting let go was the beginning of a new legacy.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_00]: She's a mother, a mogul, a mentor, and now a published author.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome inside the book, Jequince of Prim aka.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: Quince, aka coach Kane, what's up coach Kane, how are you, that was an amazing answer at the best I'm excited I'm excited I'm excited we have a lot of common right so so I was a 15 year bank and executive I didn't get fired right but I got pushed out you know
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: and part of, you know, it's some of the stories, but what I appreciate about your story is that your ability to bounce back your ability to use that pain to really be where you are today, which is which is phenomenal because I think a lot of times,
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: when we go through things, you know, we always, we see the lesson in hindsight.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know why we're going through it.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: We just kind of like, sometimes it might feel like the worst thing that happened to us, but we're able to bounce back and you bounce back in a big way, not only just for you, but you've also bounced back in a way that you're helping thousands of people fulfill their dreams in a way that they never thought it was going to be fulfilled.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: So this is going to be exciting.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I need to get your pens, papers, all that together, but before we even start, for those who don't know who is your quince of print.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I am a claim the name of Coach K. V. Grant expert.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_01]: I actually educate entrepreneurs on how they can get access to debt free funding for their business, but before my journey, I haven't always been the expert when it came to Grant's
- 4:21[SPEAKER_01]: Um, teaching entrepreneurs how to get access to funding up on the childcare center.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a mom, but most importantly, I'm just out here in the community just making an impact in teaching entrepreneurs.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_01]: how they can take those ideas that they have and they're hitting on paper and get access to OPM other people's money to make their dreams come true.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: I love that.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that what it raises why I'm excited about this episode is because I think a lot of people have dreams, but they allow the money to stop them.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: And they feel like, man, I don't have the money, so they either are working to try to save the money and then life happens and they never get to that dream.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: or they just put the dream on the shelf and they just, you know, just go about their day and let that dream die.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: But you have a way to be able to help them with their dream.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_00]: But then they don't have to pay it back.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like these are actual, actual grants.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: But one of the things, you know, like just just knowing, right, building a seven figure empire on your way to eight, nine, right?
- 5:22[SPEAKER_00]: Like, how is that feeling?
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: to now, like where you are right now, and knowing, like you got fired into freedom, but you know, how does it feel to be where you are now, knowing that at once upon a time, like, they try to bury you.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so for me, I'm just getting started.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_01]: So I had a conversation with somebody that's very close to me, and they said, you know, you may x, y's the amount of money, and a short amount of time, this is something that a lot of people don't accomplish.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_01]: And they asked me how did it feel?
- 5:53[SPEAKER_01]: And I said, I just don't feel complete.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_01]: I got to, I feel this is a start of a journey because there's so much more out there that's available for me.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_01]: But if I can show up for a company and help them make millions.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_01]: If I can, close on a million dollar loans for a company and a corporation and show up and give them 40 plus hours a week and make pennies doing it.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_01]: I know I can do the same for me.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 6:14[SPEAKER_01]: The feeling is, it's, it's, I feel accomplished.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_01]: I love what I'm doing, but I feel like I'm just getting started and there's so much more out there for me.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I love it.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: Take me, take me back to your, to your beginning, your childhood, like, or it don't have to be childhood, but like your beginnings, like, did you have, you know, great childhood, was it tough growing up, like, like, I was your, your upbringing.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_01]: So I am, I still am, I still claim the daddy's girl title, right?
- 6:45[SPEAKER_01]: Sport, riding, both of my parents were working.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_01]: They worked nine to five jobs, my dad retired early, but I watched my mom get up and work, get up at four o'clock in the morning, go to work every single day.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_01]: She's the type of person that never calls out, see dedicated all of her time to accompany and corporation.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and so I just watched that nobody around me was an entrepreneur, but as I grew and as I went off to college, I decided to go away from college because I wanted that independence.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I knew staying at home, I would still be under my parents' wing.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_01]: So I went off to college so I could get just a little piece of independence and that's when the idea of just entrepreneurship kind of came about.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_01]: I seen a need in Huntsville, Alabama.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and so I would have conversations with my parents and they would be like, uh,
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: you know, maybe, you know, it's too risky.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_01]: So I went into corporate America because I feel like that's what my parents wanted me to do.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, just watching them get up work, make sacrifices.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_01]: It was just embedded in me that that's what I had to do.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't know of entrepreneurship at an early age.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_01]: So it was just watching them and just incorporating that into my journey.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_01]: But here I am now.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: And then so, so that that urge for entrepreneurship, that me, that sort of like pressure to, you know, you know, you know, do what your parents want you to do, led you to corporate America, but you know, you still didn't silence that entrepreneurship voice.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: Talk a little bit about starting your, your childcare business.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_01]: So when I first came to Huntsua, Alabama, I used to call it the, the city of opportunity.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_01]: Um, lamb is cheap, properties cheap, you know, commercial buildings were affordable.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so I told my father, you know, I want to open up something here and I wanted to do a clothing boutique and I had a friend or relative who had a clothing boutique and she discouraged me like completely got me on the phone and gave me every reason why I shouldn't do it.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: And at the time I had a house and in the back of the home.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_01]: There was a little space and I was like I should do something with this space like I want to do something But everybody around me was telling me no, so I didn't do anything I kind of put it in the back of my head.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_01]: We'll fast forward a couple of years later I'm in my senior year And I found out that I'm pregnant with my daughter.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm looking for a child care centers and I placed her at a child care center That I really wasn't happy with but it's what I had to do because I had to work
- 9:10[SPEAKER_01]: So a couple years go by and I decided that you know what I'm going to open up my own child care center So open up my own child care center and because I need a affordable child care and I needed child care that offered extended hours as well So with this child care center I decided that I wanted to do something different and that was my journey in entrepreneurship So it was started as a need for me But as I got into it I realized there were so many other parents who had that same need they needed affordable child care
- 9:36[SPEAKER_01]: quality education and it was just an opportunity to be in the inner city community and make it impact as well.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_00]: And then from, was it easy?
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 9:47[SPEAKER_01]: No, not at all.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_01]: So I, people think of daycare centers and they see dollar signs immediately, right?
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: Because parents are going to pay, or they assume that parents are going to pay.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_01]: The daycare, they're going to pay their daycare, bill.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_01]: This is not always the case.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: So but now you're dealing with, you have little lives at your hands, at your fingertips, that you have to protect.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_01]: So you got 40, 50, 60 keys that you have to make sure,
- 10:12[SPEAKER_01]: are covered and protected at all times, but you also have 40, 50, 60 parents and different personalities that you have to get along with or accommodate.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_01]: So I have stories for days of just parents being upset because
- 10:28[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, we had one kid.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_01]: We wanted to incorporate sign language and a parent didn't want their kids to learn sign language.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_01]: So for me as a parent, I'm like, this is a benefit to your kid, but someone else seen it as, you know, something they didn't, they didn't want their kids to learn.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_01]: So you had to adjust financially.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_01]: People think it's one of the easiest things to run.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_01]: Financial, we had a lot of hardships.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_01]: And that's kind of how we got into the grants is because my business was struggling, but you have to follow state regulations and state regulations change all the time.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_01]: So whatever they say goes and you have to accommodate them.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_01]: So we got into grants because my business was struggling.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_01]: This child care center that I had started thinking that it would be an opportunity for me to start my journey thinking it would be an opportunity for me to provide an impact in the
- 11:17[SPEAKER_01]: almost made me lose my home and, you know, my car and, you know, almost made me close the doors on my business.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: Wow, all right.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_00]: And so this hardship, maybe you almost lose your house, your, your, you know, your home, but you got into grants at what moment did the bank decided, hey, we're gonna, we're gonna fire you, we're gonna fire you into freedom.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so there was a situation where I had closed on a million dollars long with Wells Fargo.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_01]: My VP came over and he hands me an envelope.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_01]: He slashed an envelope over the table, so I'm thinking this a check.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's a bonus.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_01]: Open up this envelope and it's a certificate to go on the Wells Fargo Porter and about portal and by t-shirt A t-shirt that once I leave here because I'm leaving here for shirt now, right?
- 12:08[SPEAKER_01]: I can't work here.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I can't even wear anymore, but you know as we continue to on I decided to stay But I stayed for a little bit longer and then As we kind of went on into the journey
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: I lost track of the question.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: How did it lead to you get fired?
- 12:29[SPEAKER_01]: How did it lead to, okay, sorry.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_01]: So you'll go cook that at the end.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so as we are, as I'm still working there, I'm going to still go on after opportunity, still going out, but I kind of realized that there was a lack in just my dryer for Sean O'Four Wills for our go.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_01]: So I was focused in war on my business.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_01]: I like truly locked in on my business because I knew that this was my way out.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_01]: So they just gave me a c-shirt for a close and on a million dollars long.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_01]: So we started writing grants, started getting access to grant funding because I'm truly locked in on this business but then I started teaching and educating others on how they could get access to funding.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_01]: So now I have clients that are coming in and maybe they're declined for a loan, maybe they're declined for funding, maybe they need help with their personal credit.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm working for the bank but I'm in the education space as well.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_01]: So now it's like
- 13:21[SPEAKER_01]: So they noticed I'm spending too much time in my office with these clients or people are coming in and there's a line at the door waiting on me because they only want to see jequenta So they just kind of raised some riff legs.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_01]: They started snooping through my social media and they sent me an email and just said, you know, hey, because of the
- 13:38[SPEAKER_01]: competitive nature of your business, you have two options.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_01]: You can dissolve what you're currently doing, which is teach in entrepreneurs how to get access to funding, or you can continue to go after, you know, you can continue to work here.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_01]: So I decided to continue to do what I was doing and making an impact.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: And do you have a great day to the citizen?
- 13:58[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely not you know I think in the beginning I had moments like what let me let me let me see what other banks out there I know I can get another making job But no, not at all.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_01]: I think this is the you know this decision being pushed out of my comfort zone And being in the space where I'm coaching not only did it help me and I'll meet the opportunity to just be a better mom Be able to show it for my daughter
- 14:21[SPEAKER_01]: But now I'm able to impact lives of thousands of entrepreneurs and truly show them a strategy on how they can get access to funding that most people don't even know that they qualify for.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: In your book, fire is a freedom.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: You talk about being financially stuck even while owning real estate and having a good job.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_00]: So what advice would you have for people who are asset rich but cash poor?
- 14:47[SPEAKER_01]: So one is to truly understand how to properly leverage what you do have.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_01]: I think one of the biggest mistakes that I had is I kind of went all in on everything.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_01]: And I kind of hand my hand in a little bit of, you know, so no, I got a little bit of money.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, let me go back at piece of real estate.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I got this piece of real estate.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_01]: Let me invest into this, this child care center, okay.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_01]: I invested into this child care center.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_01]: Let me put some more money over here.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_01]: So I emptied out everything that I had trying to just build this portfolio because I thought that there was the right strategy.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_01]: If I would have just died being and focused on one thing and has that thing built, now I have more money to kind of leverage and go afterwards out there.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_01]: But most importantly, just being more educated and more knowledgeable before I died being.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_01]: I think a lot of times we see an opportunity someone tells us to invest in a piece of real estate.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_01]: And we just go grab it because somebody said that's a good idea.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_01]: We'd know knowledge or no background and not knowing how to truly leverage it for our financial needs.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's the, you know, people always ask me like, if you should go back like what, what advice would you give to you or yourself?
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: And that would be that like, don't buy your first home, do not buy your first home in the living.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_00]: Make sure that real estate is an income-producing asset.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_00]: And then let that asset pay for your lifestyle because a lot of times, people think financial freedom is about the amount of money you make.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_00]: But financial freedom is not about the amount of money you make.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's about that freedom, that changing your relationship with money, instead of working hard for money,
- 16:18[SPEAKER_00]: you got to make money work hard for you, and so speaking of making money work hard for you, I want to talk money, right?
- 16:24[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, again, and before I even pivot to that to this question about Grant, you know, I like to like take the story and tie it all in and like let people see the lessons in it, right, the lessons and the lessons and I just find it
- 16:41[SPEAKER_00]: I call it God, I think it's God, right?
- 16:43[SPEAKER_00]: But I just find it ironic that the very thing that gets you fired is the very thing that's making you a multi-millionaire.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_00]: And it's the very thing that is allowing you the thing that you want it for yourself is the thing that's actually helping other people do and get and feel fulfilled their dreams.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_00]: And so in a way,
- 17:10[SPEAKER_00]: the road to financial freedom is on the opposite side of service, right?
- 17:15[SPEAKER_00]: What you want for yourself, you want for others.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_00]: And then you start to give that to people, that's where you're blessing lies.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't want people to miss that like that.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_00]: Like that connection in the irony, again, I'm be a facetious when I say irony, but that connection in that coincidence and that irony that I call God is just like, it's a masterpiece.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_00]: You give fire for help, so let me get this straight.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_00]: I work for a bank and the bank is purportedly working to help customers.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_00]: A customer who come in, who can't qualify for the bank service, right?
- 18:00[SPEAKER_00]: I have an employee who goes above and beyond and help them to still get their needs met.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like we're saying.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_00]: Here's this grant instead of this loan.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_00]: This is no, you can't get this loan, so here's another option.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_01]: So let me, so I wasn't, I wanna clear that up.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: So I wasn't served.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_01]: I would still offer a service within the bank.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_01]: So I wasn't saying,
- 18:26[SPEAKER_01]: You don't qualify for this one.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go get this green right?
- 18:29[SPEAKER_01]: So it was more so of you don't qualify for this credit card Let me educate you on what you should be doing.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they didn't like that.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right?
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: And so even even you know even that so even so so so that that connects with the even more Yes, right?
- 18:43[SPEAKER_00]: I might even I might even try to get the best.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just educating you Right and and this bank that purportedly supposed to be helping the people Doesn't want me to educate the people people
- 18:55[SPEAKER_00]: And because of that, I get fired, but when I get fired though, the very thing I get fired for, which is educating the people and helping the people, is the same thing, right?
- 19:08[SPEAKER_00]: The same thing that helps me come a multi-millionaire and it's the same thing that bothers me my freedom.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know what I'm going to do with that.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't want to glaze over that audience.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_00]: My insiders.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't want to glaze over that, but I don't know what you're gonna do with that But then there's there's something there's something to that, right?
- 19:27[SPEAKER_00]: There's something to it cuz I even for myself like I I used to get in trouble because they said I talked too much Now big millions of dollars talking
- 19:37[SPEAKER_00]: right I get paid for my thoughts like I write books I help like like and so and so you know the the the peace that I want people to understand is that your your gift will make room for you if you see it as such though
- 19:53[SPEAKER_00]: right sometimes they we don't see the gift as that in the you don't say so I mean I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it I love it
- 20:11[SPEAKER_00]: Um, what's the biggest myth that, um, you know, people believe about, about grants.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_01]: So that is one of the biggest misses that you have to be a nonprofit to qualify for grant funding.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_01]: And you can be a for profit company and get access to grant funding.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: So you can have an LLC.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_01]: our S-Corp or C-Corp, whatever you decide, and qualify for grant funding.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_01]: So the biggest misconception is that you have to have this non-profit organization and be out in the community, you know, feed the home with or give them bags to qualify for funding.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_01]: And it's just about your impact.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_01]: It's what you're doing within your business or within your industry, that opens up the door for you to get access to funding.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_00]: And I love that clarity, though, because I'll be honest with you, this, it was the same for myself until later, right?
- 20:53[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I thought,
- 20:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I mean, I want to have to start a not like, I want to access the grants.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_00]: I would have to start a non-profit organization and most people when you think about grants because it feels like, you know, it's, again, I mean, there's what it is, right?
- 21:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's money that's given to you that you don't have to pay back, but do you not have to do anything for the grant money?
- 21:15[SPEAKER_01]: So there are several different opportunities out there.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_01]: What we like is what's called unrestricted grants, which means that we can take the money,
- 21:22[SPEAKER_01]: and we reinvest this money back into our business, however we see fit to make it, to make it expand and grow.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_01]: There are some people who they, when they thank grants, they thank free money, right?
- 21:32[SPEAKER_01]: And there are some grant tours who will give you this money and say, hey, based off of your grant proposal, you said that these were the things that you were going to do.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_01]: We're gonna hold you accountable and make sure you do these things that you told us because you give grants tours a budget.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_01]: And you tell them, hey, this is my budget, this is what I need to make my business expand and grow.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_01]: and they give you the money based off of that.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_01]: So people think free money and I can just do whatever I want to do with it.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_01]: There are some people who are going to hold you accountable and make sure that you're spending the money to reinvest it back into your business to help you elevate and grow.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_01]: But if I can get a hundred thousand dollars,
- 22:06[SPEAKER_01]: to reinvest back into my business for ads, for marketing, for hiring employees, for that new commercial space, or whatever you feel like you need to scale your business, grant to an opportunity for you to make it happen.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_00]: Man, I'm telling you like, there's so many people that just don't know it, and there's so many people that are out there on their own, trying to figure it out, who again, put in their dreams aside because like,
- 22:30[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I've know many businesses that, you know, they need money for marketing, for ads, for a website, for cat, whatever they need the capital for, and a lot of times, it's like, all right, let me bootstrap.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_00]: Let me try to sell this ebook.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_00]: We try to sell t-shirts.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, like they'll start, you know, from the bottom, you know, with this big dream though, right?
- 22:53[SPEAKER_00]: And the honest truth is what happens is that they get burnt out.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_00]: doing the thing that's not even really connected to their dream for real, not knowing that they could have spent that energy right, you know, applying for grants.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_00]: How difficult is it?
- 23:10[SPEAKER_00]: Is it like, you know, do I have to have a bachelor's degree, bachelor's degree, like how difficult is the apply for grants?
- 23:16[SPEAKER_01]: It's not.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_01]: So there are different grants out there.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_01]: So there is a grant called the legacy grant.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_01]: Now, there are another grant called the greatness grants.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_01]: These are two grants that are sponsored by entrepreneurs.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_01]: this grant actually one question.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_01]: So if you have a phone in front of you right now, you can literally pull up this phone, a platform with a legacy grant.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, you're watching this podcast.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_01]: And when you apply for this grant, I'm just going to, is it okay if I share a chat with them on how to apply?
- 23:42[SPEAKER_01]: So when you apply for a grant, what we do inside of our community is we use what's called the real strategy.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_01]: And so what we always do is, when we apply for a grant and they ask us how are you going to use the money, we simply keep it real, right?
- 23:55[SPEAKER_01]: So are you making sure you're relatable to the investors?
- 23:58[SPEAKER_01]: So you have a conversation with the person who has the money or the funding that you need.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_01]: You make a connection with them and tell them how you plan or aim on using the funding E. You educate them about your business and your brand.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_01]: So what makes your business unique?
- 24:12[SPEAKER_01]: What problem are you going to solve?
- 24:14[SPEAKER_01]: Why do you deserve the funding that you're requesting?
- 24:16[SPEAKER_01]: A you have to have an action plan this is generally your budget breakdown so this talks about how you
- 24:22[SPEAKER_01]: are going to execute when you receive the funding and ill you just make sure this company is in love your vision and love your brain and they want to invest into you.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_01]: So when you're applying for the legacy grant or the greatness grant you simply keep it real and talk about how you're going to use the money you're funding.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_00]: And then how I mean you can plug it how they go how they go.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the legacy grant.com it's the legacy grant.com or the greatness grant.com and who grants that you can apply for now.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_00]: How much how much is the is the legacy grant?
- 24:48[SPEAKER_01]: The legacy grant is $1,000.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_01]: The greatness grant, I believe, is $2,500.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_01]: Those are simple grants.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_01]: There's also a grant.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_00]: I might sort of grant the whole, well, I don't have a grant.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_01]: You can, well, I don't have the abundance grant.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_01]: You can do the abundance, we're gonna make it happen.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_01]: We're gonna make it happen.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_00]: The abundance grant.com, we need that.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_01]: And so what I love is a grant tourer can decide who they wanna give the funding to.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_01]: So you can say, I wanna give this to an author, right?
- 25:12[SPEAKER_01]: Or up and coming author, to help them start their business or help them start their publishing.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_01]: Or you can say, I just wanna give it to an entrepreneur in general.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_01]: So if I'm a plan for this grant and I'm an author, I think I wanna be,
- 25:24[SPEAKER_01]: I would apply using that as my impact, right, and use the real strategy.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_01]: So go based off of who the grants will want to give the funding to and talk about why the funding or why you deserve the funding that they have available.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_00]: I love that.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's important because again, when I think Grant, I mean, so I come from a space though that
- 25:48[SPEAKER_00]: You know, people who talk about grants or people who've gotten grants, they're like, you know, you have to have a great grant right or not.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_00]: You have to know the language and the jargon and all that stuff.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_00]: You know, how can can you use AI like in the age of AI like how how is that made it easier or more difficult for granted.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_01]: Great question.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_01]: So as a grant writer and someone who's got access to thousands of dollars and millions of dollars in grant funding being a grant writer, what we are doing inside of our community now is we are using in leveraging AI to get access to grants.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_01]: Now, if you go to AR or chat GPT and you type just type in and help me apply for this grant, you won't win the grant, right?
- 26:33[SPEAKER_01]: But if you go to it and I use the three T's, I teach AI, so if you go to it and you just say, hey, I want to get access to grant funding.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_01]: What information do you need to know about me?
- 26:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to come up with the list of questions.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to actually about your mission.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to actually about corporate documents that you have or you will for profit or a nonprofit.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_01]: So we're teaching it about our business.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_01]: Then we want to train it.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_01]: So if you're a training AI, you go to it and you say, act as a certified grant writer with a, with over 10 years of experience
- 27:03[SPEAKER_01]: 98 percent success rate.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_01]: Your job is to help we get access to more grants for my business.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_01]: And so now you're training it on the test that you need it to do.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_01]: And then you test it out.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 27:16[SPEAKER_01]: So you teach training and then you test.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_01]: So you go in and maybe you can pull again the link or the URL for a grant that you apply for.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just say we're applying for the Black Ambition Grant, which is
- 27:33[SPEAKER_01]: So I would plug the URL of that grant into CHHPT, it already has my mission, it already knows about my business, it has my website, and I would tell it to implement or include my website with their mission to help me get access to more grant funding or create me a grant proposal or answer the grant question.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_01]: So we teach it, we train it, then we test it out.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_01]: This is what makes your grant answers unique, right?
- 27:56[SPEAKER_01]: So this is what separates your
- 28:02[SPEAKER_01]: But before after we do that, and after we get the answers, I always like to use AI as an employee in my business, right?
- 28:09[SPEAKER_01]: So if you have an employee in your business, you train it, right?
- 28:12[SPEAKER_01]: You teach it what to do, but you also go back and you check the work.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes, right?
- 28:16[SPEAKER_00]: Right, right.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_01]: To make sure it includes your mission and what you need it to do, but there is a feature called zero chat GPT.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_01]: So you can plug your answer into zero chat, GPT, to make sure that it's humanized, to make sure that grand tours are not aware that you're using AI when applying for this grant.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_01]: So yes, we are winning.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_01]: We have a student, Mr. Bart, who just $150,000 grant for his transportation company.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_01]: And he used an leverage AI 100% to get access to that funding.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_01]: No grant writer, right?
- 28:45[SPEAKER_01]: So he didn't pay a grant writer.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't pay an application fee.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_01]: He just joined the community and used the resources inside and got $150,000 debt free.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_00]: And I love that.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my God, I love it.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_00]: Especially for our community.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_00]: And you mentioned transportation, which leads me to my next question, what types of businesses are actually eligible for funding?
- 29:06[SPEAKER_00]: And even if they think that they're not, because I know that there's people that might think certain businesses don't qualify, but what type of business is it a qualifier?
- 29:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I love that question.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_01]: So when we think about grants, people immediately say, oh, it's not for me.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_01]: Every business qualifies.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_01]: every person that will use this strategy and take a couple of minutes to apply for grant opportunity qualifies for the grant.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_01]: My first grant I received was $500.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_01]: It took me less than 30 minutes to apply for that grant.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_01]: So 30 minutes of my time to get $500.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_01]: Now that 500 turned to 10, 10, 10, 10, 10 up to 100, but every company qualifies for grant funding, it's all about your impact.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_01]: What are you doing?
- 29:45[SPEAKER_01]: What are you doing within your business that's
- 29:49[SPEAKER_01]: inside of my community, I always teach them to do two things, right?
- 29:52[SPEAKER_01]: So you find a problem and be the solution.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_01]: Talk about a problem that you have found within your community or within your industry and the solution that you have to the problem, which is simple.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_01]: It's your business, right?
- 30:04[SPEAKER_01]: Great entrepreneur solve problem.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_01]: So if I am solving a problem with my business, this is what's going to open up the door for me to get access to grant funding.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_00]: I love that.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_00]: I love that.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_00]: I find
- 30:17[SPEAKER_00]: What's your process or method for helping someone secure 50K?
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: I want the money, 50K to 100K, and graph on it.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_01]: I love that.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_01]: So when we think about grant funding, people come to me and they say, Coach K, I need $100,000 at grants.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_01]: Well,
- 30:33[SPEAKER_00]: You can, I need $100,000 in grants.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: So, as cash, you need $100,000 in grants.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: So, the first thing I would do is check the foundation of your business.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_01]: So, I'm going to go through and do an out of your business to make sure your business is fundable.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_01]: So, we want access to this funding, but are you invested into your corporation documents?
- 30:51[SPEAKER_01]: Do you have your LLC in place?
- 30:52[SPEAKER_01]: Do you have your EI in?
- 30:53[SPEAKER_01]: Do you have a professional business address?
- 30:55[SPEAKER_01]: Do you have the brand appearance online?
- 30:57[SPEAKER_01]: If I Google your business, can I see your mission?
- 31:00[SPEAKER_01]: Who you are?
- 31:00[SPEAKER_01]: What you're doing?
- 31:01[SPEAKER_01]: Who you serve?
- 31:02[SPEAKER_01]: The next thing I'm going to do is find the right grants that align with your mission and your brand.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_01]: So sometimes your corporate grants every major corporation typically has a grain out there available.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_01]: right now AT&T has a grant $50,000.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_01]: Progressive has a grant $25,000 and this is to go out.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm sorry.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_01]: Progressive is $50,000.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_01]: This is to purchase a vehicle.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_01]: All state has a $25,000 grant.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to find out fine grants that align with your mission and align with your goals and your impact.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_01]: This might be foundation grants.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_01]: Beyonce has a foundation, Walmart has a foundation.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_01]: But once we find the right grants, we're going to apply for those grants using the real strategy.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_01]: So make sure we're relatable, educate the investors, have an action plan, and make sure that in love your business and brand.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_01]: Now here's the thing about grants.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_01]: Most people want to $100,000, they want to see the number of $100,000.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes we have to piece that together.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_01]: So we might go to all state and get $25,000.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_01]: We might go to this foundation and get $10,000.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_01]: We might go to near my adavies and get the $2,500 grant.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_01]: We might get the abundance grant for $1,000, right?
- 32:06[SPEAKER_01]: So we're going to piece those grant opportunities together to get to the goal of $100,000.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_01]: I love that.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_00]: Give me an example, kind of know you got receipts, right?
- 32:16[SPEAKER_00]: Give me an example of, you know, one of your students who was able to, you know, win a grant.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_00]: Give me, um...
- 32:27[SPEAKER_00]: Give me like a like a small one, but they give me give me something like, nah, give me You know, I love that because most people when I when you start with the big number They like that's not real, right?
- 32:38[SPEAKER_01]: But um, so we have a student.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_01]: His name is Milvin, and I like to start with Milvin I brag about Milvin a lot because people typically think grants are not for men And a lot of times when it comes to applying for grants or men who are who run a business Sometimes they they like to push the task on somebody else to actually write in a black
- 32:54[SPEAKER_01]: Melvin is actually writing grants and applying for grants.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_01]: He got $80,000 in grant funding.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_01]: But what I love about Melvin is once he learned this skill and strategy, he went back and started helping his family members and friends.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_01]: So now he's a grant writer and he's helped his family and his family members and friends get over $215,000 in grant funding.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_01]: So imagine locking in and learning the skill that helps you within now you're able to go out and help your family members and friends as well.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and then I always share the story of my best friend.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_01]: She got $200,000 in grant funding.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_01]: She has a medical company, a home health company.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_00]: Use your best friend before it's $200,000.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_01]: She was my best friend when it's $200,000.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_00]: That's do have any like done for you grit services that you offer.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_01]: So what's so dope about my services is I would prefer to educate you because if I can teach you this is a skill and strategy that you can use for life or you can be like Mr. Milvin who gets access to $80,000 and then he goes out.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_01]: and he helps his family members and friends get $215,000.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_01]: So we used to have a done for you service while I were riding a platform grants, but I didn't feel fulfilled.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't feel like I was waking up in every day and walking in my purpose.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_01]: My purpose is to teach you and to educate you.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_01]: So you have something that can help you from life.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: Um, my daughter's 14 years old.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_01]: She can write a grant.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_01]: You know, she hasn't received her first grant yet.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_01]: She's working on it.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_01]: We got to make sure she stays consistent.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: Um, that's the key.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_01]: But she can write a grant.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_01]: And so imagine learning this information in 14 and having the aunt she has an entrepreneur spirit for sure.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_01]: and knowing that this opportunity is out there for you.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_01]: So inside of my community, we actually educate you.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_01]: But what I love about it the most is we give you the resources.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, I encourage entrepreneurs to apply for one grant every single day.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to go find the grant.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm giving it to you.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm giving it to you on a silver platter.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_01]: And all you gotta do is click submit and go after the opportunity.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_00]: And I love that because even when you said that earlier, I think it was a lot of this,
- 34:51[SPEAKER_00]: That's Mary right like you know what you said that I was like
- 34:55[SPEAKER_00]: That's dope, right?
- 34:56[SPEAKER_00]: Imagine every single day, you just apply for a grain.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's almost like they say you miss 100% of the shots that you don't take, right?
- 35:05[SPEAKER_00]: And so the ability to apply and at the end of the day, you don't have to pay this back, you don't have to.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_00]: There is no credit check.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_00]: This is like something that you can get by just being willing to put yourself out there.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_00]: And what's the worst that can happen?
- 35:20[SPEAKER_00]: There's just no.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_00]: You just don't get it, that's the worst thing.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_01]: A plan for the one-grain a day, it does a couple of different things.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_01]: One, you always have something in the chamber, right?
- 35:29[SPEAKER_01]: So entrepreneurs who apply for 20 to 30 grants have a 99% success rate, 98% success rate of getting access to funding.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_01]: So imagine I apply for one-grain every single day in next month, I wake up to two or three opportunities.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_01]: So we have a young lady, her name is Kendra.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_01]: She received four grants in one month by using the strategy of applying for one-grain every single day.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_01]: Now you won't get them every single month, right?
- 35:52[SPEAKER_01]: Imagine waking up to four opportunities that are out there because you use this strategy, but it also builds your confidence when applying because now you notice these great tours are asking the same question.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_01]: So now I just type this one time and I just go copy and paste, but now I'm getting stronger with what I need and my wording and it just builds that that level of confidence when applying for grants.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_00]: Listen, y'all.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all better tap in.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_00]: Make sure you're a join her for the master class, learn, join the community.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_00]: Look, we've given you so many resources right now.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_00]: Do something.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_00]: Join the free master class, take advantage of the free the free book, make sure you join her community.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_00]: All the good things that is going to help you take your business to the next level because I know
- 36:40[SPEAKER_00]: that, you know, you have that dream, you have that vision, that vision was given to you so that you could execute on it.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_00]: And sometimes that access the capital is what's stopping you.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_00]: And so I need you to take action now, right?
- 36:53[SPEAKER_00]: And oh, W, don't opportunity wasted.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_00]: Do not waste the opportunity.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_00]: Especially the opportunity that you don't have to pay back.
