- Meg and Mandy: Hey, it's Mandy. Just wanted to pop in here and talk about the Made Me Gay podcast. And you know, we're gonna have conversations and we are also gonna always be coming back to some main themes, which is just listening to stories, being a witness to people who are on a journey, is one of the main I think goals of our podcast. But really talking about the effects on life. coming out later in life, whether it's gender identity, whether it's sexuality, whatever the healing journey is bringing you, this is the effect on work, the effect on family, relationships of all kinds. And how does that transform your own ability to love yourself? hopefully in fantastical ways. And also we're here for the messy middle and know that it is not a clear journey from A to B when we're talking about healing. And one of the other main topics that we want to keep coming back to is community. So we're bringing our community in for the first multiple episodes. We're tapping into our beautiful community that we have created here in Denver, Colorado. And honestly, I'll be coming back to talk more about that community because this is this is inspiring stuff that you all have the ability to do as well, right? People talk about how we're lonely and we don't have community and we live in these isolated, you know, family bubbles and like single family homes and single generation existences and like we can we can change that. And that is revolutionary work and that is in the state of America today something so important and almost the only thing we can do is actually make our community and live day to day the way that we we know that human beings are meant to, right? Lean on each other, grow with each other, help each other, celebrate together. yeah. So we were we will talk about values on this podcast. We're gonna be talking about grief a lot. And we're gonna talk about taking the masks off. that we've put on over the years to conform and to perform and to be a part of our compulsive heteronormativity that many of us grow up in. And we just want you to know that you're not alone. We're here. We're queer. We're gonna have fun. And as soon as I can figure out how to do 1-800 made gay, like somebody steal it and just like gift it to us or something. I don't know how to do that. We just have a Google Voice. So we're just gonna stick to email for now. but we are we are open to collaborations. We wanna we want to hear from you and we're glad you're here. Thank you for joining us today.
