- 0:08Speaker 1: And I invited you here. I thought I made myself
- 0:14Speaker 1: perfectly clear. When you're a guest to my home, you
- 0:21Speaker 1: gotta come to me empty. And I said, no, guests,
- 0:27Speaker 1: you're our presences. Presents enough. I already had too much stuff,
- 0:35Speaker 1: So how do you dare to surbey me?
- 0:49Speaker 2: Welcome to I said, no gift s. I'm Pritchard Winneger.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Here we are. We're in the studio. Uh, what's going on?
- 0:59Speaker 2: I've got back from Japan. Just I don't know fourteen
- 1:03Speaker 2: hours ago, I have no idea where I am in
- 1:06Speaker 2: space or time. I slept for at least twelve hours
- 1:09Speaker 2: last night, and still I don't know where I exist.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Had a lovely time, learned a lot. I've acknowledged something
- 1:18Speaker 2: about myself, and it's that I do not like to
- 1:19Speaker 2: eat a cold, thick clams. That's one item for me
- 1:24Speaker 2: that is a challenge. So what else? An observation I
- 1:31Speaker 2: made while they're observing other couples on vacation. I've noticed
- 1:36Speaker 2: this before, but I think essentially in every couple on vacation,
- 1:40Speaker 2: there's one person who's normal and one person who thinks
- 1:43Speaker 2: they can take good photographs. And unfortunately that that person
- 1:49Speaker 2: is me. I'm the person, and I apologize for everyone
- 1:52Speaker 2: else in a couple who's not the person trying to
- 1:54Speaker 2: take good photographs, because it seems infuriating to watch your
- 1:57Speaker 2: partner try to take a good picture. Pictures all look
- 2:00Speaker 2: terrible or all look the same. Who cares? And again,
- 2:06Speaker 2: just from this rambling, you can tell I need probably
- 2:10Speaker 2: more sleep or less sleep or something. That's fine. I'm back.
- 2:14Speaker 2: We're back. Is there anything else we need to talk
- 2:17Speaker 2: about when this airs? The Chicago show will be happening
- 2:22Speaker 2: tomorrow at May twenty third, So if there are still
- 2:25Speaker 2: tickets available, you can have like a last minute panic
- 2:28Speaker 2: buying one. If there aren't tickets available, you can regret
- 2:32Speaker 2: that for the rest of your life. That's some business
- 2:35Speaker 2: we can take care of. Patreon continues to exist. Thank
- 2:38Speaker 2: you to everybody who's on the Patreon. You can come
- 2:42Speaker 2: join us there. What a lovely way to support the show.
- 2:44Speaker 2: And we're just having an absolute riot over there. Everyone
- 2:47Speaker 2: is having the time of their life with the bonus episodes, etc.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Is there anything Let me look, I made a document
- 2:53Speaker 2: today to just make sure I covered all of our
- 2:56Speaker 2: business because I'm out of my mind. Let's see the
- 3:00Speaker 2: other thing I had to say, is I have fifty
- 3:02Speaker 2: nine emails I need to go through. No one needs
- 3:04Speaker 2: to know that. I don't know why to type that down. Okay,
- 3:08Speaker 2: let's get into the episode. I love today's guest. Everybody
- 3:12Speaker 2: loves her. It's Mary Elizabeth Alis Mary Elizabeth. How are you?
- 3:16Speaker 3: I'm great. I'm excited to get into your emails.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Yeah, if we could just start from the first mail here,
- 3:22Speaker 2: it's about coffee order, I've got coming. Great, we just
- 3:25Speaker 2: get into that.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Are a lot of thoughts. I think they should pop some
- 3:29Speaker 3: cold wet clams in there for you.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Have you ever had a cold thick clam?
- 3:34Speaker 3: Yeah? Well, we also went to Japan and it was
- 3:39Speaker 3: incredible and the food was so amazing, and also some
- 3:42Speaker 3: of the things felt like it was cartilage.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Yes, there are certain there's just degrees of difficulty with
- 3:50Speaker 2: acquired tastes that I thought. I was like, I went
- 3:53Speaker 2: into this trip. I've been to Japan before, and I've
- 3:56Speaker 2: had plenty of different types of sushi, et cetera. And
- 3:59Speaker 2: I went in feeling fairly cocky because my boyfriend is
- 4:03Speaker 2: basically someone who can eat hamburgers and chicken fingers, and
- 4:05Speaker 2: I thought I can handle this and one of our
- 4:09Speaker 2: meals was a very high level difficulty as far as
- 4:14Speaker 2: seafood goes, and one of those things was the clam.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Just chewy, hard to get your teeth.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Through, yeah, you know, just truly me gagging, yeah, and
- 4:24Speaker 2: having to make my way through it ice water.
- 4:28Speaker 3: Yeah, because you can't. You can't disrespect people there. You've
- 4:31Speaker 3: got to be polite.
- 4:32Speaker 2: The person the food I was gagging on had, he
- 4:36Speaker 2: was looking at me while he had just made the food.
- 4:38Speaker 3: And I'm so happy for you to be eating it.
- 4:41Speaker 3: You know though, It's like, do you make a clam?
- 4:44Speaker 3: So like you opened the clam, you didn't make it,
- 4:46Speaker 3: you know what I mean. So like it's not on you.
- 4:48Speaker 3: This one's on like God.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Gone in the ocean's fall.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not your faults. I'm sorry.
- 4:55Speaker 2: It's embarrassing for me though, I'm just like being an adult,
- 4:58Speaker 2: enjoy the food. There are millions and millions of people
- 5:01Speaker 2: who like to eat this sort of food. What's wrong
- 5:03Speaker 2: with me?
- 5:04Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 5:04Speaker 3: Truly, though, be a grown up. Get that fucking clam
- 5:07Speaker 3: down your throat like a goddamn grown up.
- 5:10Speaker 2: It's so embarrassing. It's I feel like, you know, you
- 5:13Speaker 2: feel like you really are such a sophisticated eater. And
- 5:17Speaker 2: then you get to something like that, you're like, oh,
- 5:19Speaker 2: you're a child, You're a baby about everything. Grow up.
- 5:24Speaker 3: But that's okay. You can just now you're a person
- 5:26Speaker 3: who knows. I prefer my clams cooked.
- 5:28Speaker 2: I've decided I just don't like a clam, all right,
- 5:32Speaker 2: even a fried clam. I'm like, this is too chewy? Yah,
- 5:34Speaker 2: why does anyone care about this food?
- 5:37Speaker 3: What about a qua hog?
- 5:38Speaker 2: What's that?
- 5:39Speaker 3: Oh, it's like in Rhode Island a specialty. It's I
- 5:42Speaker 3: think it's a clam. It's definitely in a shell, but
- 5:45Speaker 3: they like breaded and oh yeah.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Is it big or small?
- 5:50Speaker 3: It's big, but it's not like a chewy. It's cooked
- 5:53Speaker 3: and it's like with bread.
- 5:54Speaker 2: And how do you do? You know how to spell that?
- 5:57Speaker 3: It's like quee u a a show ugw.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Hog the or the accent is kind of just built
- 6:07Speaker 2: into that.
- 6:08Speaker 3: It is squahoga hoog wow. Yeah, it's something like that.
- 6:12Speaker 2: And it is a seafood though. Yeah you like them?
- 6:15Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 6:16Speaker 2: Interesting?
- 6:17Speaker 3: I mean I like them fine, I'm not like, oh,
- 6:19Speaker 3: can't wait to get a Rhode Island and have a quahog?
- 6:21Speaker 2: How have I never heard of a quahog.
- 6:23Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 6:24Speaker 2: I love saying that. It's fun, right, Yeah, it feels
- 6:26Speaker 2: like I've got some sort of I have a difficult
- 6:29Speaker 2: time saying something wag cohog. Yeah, now I have to
- 6:34Speaker 2: try that. Maybe that's the final clam.
- 6:35Speaker 3: I'll try last clam, last clam.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Oysters similarly, I mean, the nice thing about an oyster
- 6:43Speaker 2: is it's more of a just a swallowing situation where
- 6:46Speaker 2: you just kind of throw it back.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Yeah, and that has like all that you can put
- 6:49Speaker 3: all the sauce on it.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just salt a and sauce and slightly slimy.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Where's a clam requires chewing?
- 6:58Speaker 3: Yeah, you got to use teeth for that.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Did you have any other difficult things to eat in Japan?
- 7:04Speaker 3: No? Really, I mean mostly everything was so great, and
- 7:07Speaker 3: you think you're gonna eat sushi the whole time. But
- 7:09Speaker 3: it's mostly like ramen and udon.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Yes, very like comfort foods, very salty, so great, almost
- 7:17Speaker 2: deeply unhealthy things.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Yes that we find, yes, well we're there. Yeah.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Also like Italian food. They have very good Italian food.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Oh I didn't have Italian food.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Yeah, apparently, actually I probably should. This is probably not
- 7:31Speaker 2: an actual fact. This is just someone who's jet lag.
- 7:33Speaker 2: But I think, like the second most popular food in
- 7:36Speaker 2: Japan is Italian food. Maybe that is true. That is
- 7:39Speaker 2: a fact.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Yes, email, send it to the email in sixteen. Send
- 7:45Speaker 3: it to him.
- 7:47Speaker 2: You ask any Japanese person, they say number two favorite
- 7:50Speaker 2: food Italian Italian. No, I had some very good pizza there. Actually,
- 7:55Speaker 2: I think that's the end of that.
- 7:58Speaker 3: And nothing says Italian like pizza. Where were you were
- 8:03Speaker 3: you in Tokyo?
- 8:04Speaker 2: We went to Tokyo, Hakone and Kyoto.
- 8:06Speaker 3: That's what I did.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Oh great, the ultimate tourist. True, it's so lovely.
- 8:11Speaker 3: It's so lovely.
- 8:12Speaker 2: It's interesting to be in a country where, at least
- 8:15Speaker 2: on the surface, everyone seems to care.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Yeah, I think everybody's so nice. And we went with
- 8:19Speaker 3: our Japanese friend, Junko. Shout out Junko Nakamura. She's amazing.
- 8:24Speaker 3: But it was she spoke Japanese obviously, which is great,
- 8:30Speaker 3: except then she also would get into conversations with people
- 8:33Speaker 3: where we selfish jerk Americans would be.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Like could you please involve us or like.
- 8:39Speaker 3: Let's go you know, next thing, and she'd be like
- 8:42Speaker 3: paying respect and like it's very respectful and.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Just being a nice person in general.
- 8:48Speaker 3: It is kind of exhausting. The niceness.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Oh, I mean sometimes you just want someone to be
- 8:53Speaker 2: to have no time for you, right, just be like,
- 8:56Speaker 2: this is my job, get out of my phone.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Ye keep going yeah?
- 8:59Speaker 2: Yeah, everyone there, like it seemed to everyone cared about
- 9:03Speaker 2: their job and wanting our experience to be good. And
- 9:07Speaker 2: this wasn't just like being a tourus. This was like
- 9:09Speaker 2: you know, at a coffee shop or whatever, it's like,
- 9:11Speaker 2: oh someone is they care?
- 9:13Speaker 3: Yeah, there's no trash on the street. You're like, what
- 9:16Speaker 3: is this?
- 9:17Speaker 2: Getting back to La It's a lot fascinating experience.
- 9:21Speaker 3: It's like coming back from the woods too, Like if
- 9:23Speaker 3: you're in the woods and you land in La and
- 9:25Speaker 3: the drive from lax to You're like, why why do
- 9:28Speaker 3: I live here? It's so awful?
- 9:30Speaker 2: It so sorry. My boyfriend while there is like, what
- 9:34Speaker 2: if we get back and we just don't want to
- 9:36Speaker 2: be I mean, what if this has ruined our life?
- 9:40Speaker 2: And that's a real possibility when you're in Japan to
- 9:42Speaker 2: just be like you can experience that the world doesn't
- 9:45Speaker 2: have to just be garbage everywhere. Yeah, and people being
- 9:48Speaker 2: rude to each other.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Japan will take you.
- 9:50Speaker 2: I bet yeah, they size wise. I felt very very
- 9:55Speaker 2: at home.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Oh yeah, towering.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Even My boyfriend is six two and hit his at
- 10:00Speaker 2: least once a day, constantly running into door frames or
- 10:04Speaker 2: of this sort of thing. And I was just buzzing
- 10:06Speaker 2: through town.
- 10:08Speaker 3: For you, hitting the counter at just the right height everywhere.
- 10:11Speaker 2: You are so good. I don't feel so small. Yeah,
- 10:15Speaker 2: although it feels sometimes, it feels nice to feel small
- 10:18Speaker 2: here where I can kind of just dart about like
- 10:20Speaker 2: a hobbit or something that notice me a little else, yeah,
- 10:23Speaker 2: a little, Yes, there's nothing. There's nothing wrong with that,
- 10:28Speaker 2: except for when you're trying to reach a shelf here
- 10:30Speaker 2: in the United States or some you're shopping and you
- 10:33Speaker 2: have to like you need a hook to get something down, yes,
- 10:36Speaker 2: or a footstool.
- 10:38Speaker 3: I often will be like, excuse me, tall, tall ser
- 10:41Speaker 3: or you there with the long arms, could you reach
- 10:44Speaker 3: that yogurt for me?
- 10:45Speaker 2: Exactly? You don't have to climb the shelves of the
- 10:47Speaker 2: grocery store.
- 10:48Speaker 3: That can climbing a shelf.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Oh, climbing a.
- 10:50Speaker 3: Shelf, climb a shelf.
- 10:52Speaker 2: I bought a footstool for my house a few years ago.
- 10:55Speaker 2: What a feeling. It feels amazing. Yeah, like do not
- 11:00Speaker 2: have to get up on the count kitchen counter to
- 11:02Speaker 2: reach something? Now I'm like, oh, this is how everyone
- 11:04Speaker 2: else feels, where they can just reach reach it.
- 11:06Speaker 3: But I kind of like to climb up on stuff
- 11:08Speaker 3: because I'm like, at my age, I can still jump
- 11:11Speaker 3: down from a counter with a can of beans in
- 11:13Speaker 3: both hands.
- 11:15Speaker 2: I just have these horrifying memories of elementary school teachers
- 11:18Speaker 2: getting up on counters and me sitting there that below
- 11:20Speaker 2: and me like they're going to fall off, And I
- 11:22Speaker 2: remember one of them did fall off, and I thought
- 11:24Speaker 2: that could be me. So now I've got my footstool
- 11:27Speaker 2: and I'm up there. I'm reaching the baking ingredients, I'm
- 11:31Speaker 2: reaching my cereal with no with no help.
- 11:34Speaker 3: And this is your kickstarter. Yeah you're type of foot Yeah,
- 11:38Speaker 3: your own footstools.
- 11:41Speaker 2: There's nothing different about them from regular footstools.
- 11:44Speaker 3: There, yours, they're my foot stools.
- 11:46Speaker 2: There'll be years in development, the backers will never.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Get their product perfect.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Yeah. Japan was lovely and that's all I can think
- 11:57Speaker 2: about all the time. And the trip back, I slept
- 12:01Speaker 2: for maybe ten minutes. The man next to me had
- 12:05Speaker 2: a face mask earplugs, a cushion. He slept. He didn't
- 12:09Speaker 2: even lean his chair back. He slept the entire sitting
- 12:12Speaker 2: straight up. I was like, is this guy a spy?
- 12:15Speaker 2: How did he learn to do this? Because I'm leaned
- 12:17Speaker 2: all the way back, I'm doing everything in my power.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Could not fall asleep.
- 12:21Speaker 3: Horrim Melatonin.
- 12:23Speaker 2: I can't take melatonin. This is actually a long running
- 12:27Speaker 2: topic on this podcast, which full I can't take melatonin.
- 12:37Speaker 2: I can't take like benadril to fall asleep. They all
- 12:40Speaker 2: have the opposite effect on me, and they keep me awake.
- 12:44Speaker 3: I felt that way about morphine. Have you ever had morphine?
- 12:48Speaker 2: I don't think that I've had morphine.
- 12:50Speaker 3: I had to go into the hospital because I had
- 12:53Speaker 3: eaten a bad chicken caesar salad.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Oh, where can you name the player in Mississippi?
- 13:01Speaker 3: Okay, at a restaurant in Mississippi. And it wasn't that
- 13:05Speaker 3: everything goes out kind it was the everything stays in.
- 13:08Speaker 3: And then I got like, I think sepsis. Oh my god,
- 13:13Speaker 3: but it hurts so much like driving to the hospital
- 13:16Speaker 3: when we go over a bump. It was like, oh,
- 13:19Speaker 3: so when we got to the hospital, I got morphine
- 13:22Speaker 3: and it made my body feel morphine right, but my
- 13:26Speaker 3: brain was like I got to solve every problem that's
- 13:29Speaker 3: ever happened in this world, and I'm going to do
- 13:30Speaker 3: it right now. And also everyone's making noise shut.
- 13:33Speaker 2: It was that almost sounds like sleep paralysis or something. Yeah,
- 13:37Speaker 2: like not really in control of your body anymore, but
- 13:39Speaker 2: your brain keeps going, Oh how long did that last hour?
- 13:44Speaker 3: A few hours?
- 13:45Speaker 2: And I was like, Morphine's not for me, but it
- 13:47Speaker 2: took care of the chicken Caesar.
- 13:49Speaker 3: Well, the morphine didn't, but the four days in the hospital,
- 13:54Speaker 3: four to five days in the hospital.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Did have you had a chicken Caesar since?
- 13:57Speaker 3: No, I've had no chicken since.
- 14:00Speaker 2: How long has it been?
- 14:02Speaker 3: Almost twenty years?
- 14:04Speaker 2: Oh my god? Did it turn you vegetarian?
- 14:06Speaker 3: Yeah? Well pascatarian. I still got to be able to
- 14:09Speaker 3: chew those clams.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Of course you get those clams. Yeah, well you should
- 14:14Speaker 2: write a yell p review of the restaurant twenty years later.
- 14:17Speaker 3: I should still reeling from my experience.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Wow, that's awful. Yeah, that's really taking.
- 14:24Speaker 3: It was likely the caesar salad dressing with ra I
- 14:28Speaker 3: feel like that's.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Or the lettuce. Lettuce is a secret culprit of a
- 14:32Speaker 2: lot of food poison.
- 14:33Speaker 3: Yeah, but more E coli normally right food?
- 14:37Speaker 2: Do you think you're talking to you? I don't know.
- 14:38Speaker 3: Oh, I was like, I don't know. Do you know
- 14:39Speaker 3: everything about E col i?
- 14:41Speaker 2: Came with such a with such a strong opinion there,
- 14:44Speaker 2: like I really knew. Yeah, but I've just heard that
- 14:47Speaker 2: lettuce is often the thing that you don't think about,
- 14:49Speaker 2: and it's like, oh, that's what poisoned you because someone
- 14:52Speaker 2: didn't wash the lettuce.
- 14:53Speaker 3: Yeah, but this spinach.
- 14:54Speaker 2: The spinach, your leafy greeneh, essentially will poison you. I
- 14:58Speaker 2: had a club sandwich a couple of years ago, and
- 15:01Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure it was the lettuce that did it.
- 15:02Speaker 2: What board the mayo? Again, it's there are so many
- 15:06Speaker 2: things poison the meat.
- 15:07Speaker 3: We had a and my I was in a sorority
- 15:10Speaker 3: in college and we had a deli tray that just
- 15:13Speaker 3: took us all out.
- 15:14Speaker 2: Oh excuse me to be poisoned by a deli tray.
- 15:18Speaker 3: Yeah, the entire sorority.
- 15:20Speaker 2: That's some That deli meat must have been left out
- 15:22Speaker 2: for a while.
- 15:23Speaker 3: I think.
- 15:23Speaker 2: So it's slimy and grow.
- 15:25Speaker 3: Yeah, it's the like little pretty marbling, like an oil
- 15:28Speaker 3: spill on your turkey.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Oh, now I see this is a deli meat. I
- 15:33Speaker 2: think is one thing that could turn me vegetarian. It's
- 15:36Speaker 2: just like the deli meat. What are any of us.
- 15:39Speaker 3: Just an animal being lied to paper thin?
- 15:45Speaker 2: Oh my apologies to anyone eating anything this entire episode.
- 15:50Speaker 3: Well we speak for the animals. Put your sandwich, Do
- 15:54Speaker 3: you put your sandwich in your leafy greens down?
- 15:57Speaker 2: Stop eating?
- 15:57Speaker 3: Stop eating? You just need your food.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Could be poisoning, poisoning you. Oh, we've got to get
- 16:04Speaker 2: off this topic. I'm happy to get off this topic.
- 16:06Speaker 3: What else should we talk about?
- 16:07Speaker 2: There's something else I don't want to talk about, but
- 16:10Speaker 2: I feel like we should. Look, I was happy to
- 16:14Speaker 2: have you here today. It was excited to have Mary
- 16:16Speaker 2: Elizabeth here. But uh, there's a bit. There's a butt here,
- 16:20Speaker 2: there's an absolute butt here. The podcast is called I
- 16:23Speaker 2: said no gifts, no gifts, And look, I assume you
- 16:28Speaker 2: got one email or someone got a phone call, an
- 16:31Speaker 2: email with the title of the podcast. Hopefully this came
- 16:35Speaker 2: across your desk at some point. I don't know that
- 16:39Speaker 2: you paid any attention to it because you come in today.
- 16:43Speaker 2: I'm so excited to have you here. I thought we'd
- 16:45Speaker 2: have a nice conversation that nothing would go wrong and
- 16:49Speaker 2: that we'd move on with our lives. But you came
- 16:52Speaker 2: in holding what I'm looking at it now, I'm holding
- 16:56Speaker 2: it now, clearly a gift, this gift for me.
- 17:01Speaker 3: Well, I I don't take no for an answer.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Oh interesting, Yeah, very defiant.
- 17:08Speaker 3: Oh yeah, And if I want you to have a gift,
- 17:12Speaker 3: you're gonna have it. Also, I'm not good enough. So
- 17:17Speaker 3: if I bring you at present.
- 17:19Speaker 2: This is something you're working through with yourself.
- 17:21Speaker 3: We're really getting into it. Maybe you'll like me. It
- 17:25Speaker 3: depends on what's inside.
- 17:26Speaker 2: This is all just trying to earn my respect. Then yes,
- 17:29Speaker 2: And unfortunately you've failed in a huge way here, damn it.
- 17:33Speaker 2: So I mean, but maybe you'll come back once after
- 17:36Speaker 2: I open it. Maybe there's something in here that will
- 17:39Speaker 2: finally win my favorite.
- 17:40Speaker 3: We'll see.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Okay, should I open it here on the podcast?
- 17:43Speaker 3: Yeah? Are you going to smoke that cigarette while you
- 17:45Speaker 3: open it?
- 17:45Speaker 2: Or I probably should? I should light up. There's just
- 17:50Speaker 2: this for the listener that's not watching the video. There
- 17:53Speaker 2: is just kind of a loose cigarette.
- 17:56Speaker 3: It looks like a menthol.
- 17:57Speaker 2: It's a I'm trying to think of that's a real cigarette.
- 18:01Speaker 2: Or a stage cigarette.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Man.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Yeah, of course we used it for our fifth anniversary episode.
- 18:09Speaker 2: And I can't remember if I bought actual cigarettes or
- 18:11Speaker 2: like smells Herbie. It's probably an HERB cigarette. I've never
- 18:15Speaker 2: smoked a real cigarette. Cute, isn't that sweet? So I
- 18:21Speaker 2: have to imagine, are you a current smoker?
- 18:27Speaker 3: No, I will have an occasional occasional cigarette.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Were you a smoker for a while?
- 18:32Speaker 3: I was when I was like in college.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Okay, cool, college kid, so cool? Ultimately a badass?
- 18:40Speaker 3: I would say, please tell everyone.
- 18:46Speaker 2: That's kind of the word around town about you. Thank
- 18:48Speaker 2: you the ultimate badass.
- 18:50Speaker 3: Great, that's all I want.
- 18:52Speaker 2: I'm trying to get that out about me. I think
- 18:54Speaker 2: it's pretty obvious.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Let's get tattoos. Yes, let's go for Okay, do you
- 18:59Speaker 3: have any tato so many? I'm not trying to prove anything.
- 19:04Speaker 3: It's fine.
- 19:05Speaker 2: You did drive up on a very loud motor so
- 19:08Speaker 2: I did?
- 19:08Speaker 3: I do have my motorcycle license?
- 19:11Speaker 2: Is that true?
- 19:11Speaker 3: Yes?
- 19:13Speaker 2: That's exciting.
- 19:13Speaker 3: It was exciting.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Do you drive a motorcycle now? No? No? Do you
- 19:17Speaker 2: have to reap it every year?
- 19:18Speaker 3: I got? I passed my driving test, my motorcycle riding course,
- 19:25Speaker 3: I passed it. The person was like, let's see you passed,
- 19:29Speaker 3: and I was like I did, Like I should not
- 19:32Speaker 3: be riding a motorcycle in the streets. And then I
- 19:35Speaker 3: was going to go take my DMV test and COVID happened.
- 19:39Speaker 3: Oh and then I got an e bike and then
- 19:41Speaker 3: I broke Well you can't see it because my tattoo
- 19:44Speaker 3: is covered by stage makeup from my television show. But
- 19:47Speaker 3: I broke my arm. I shattered my radius. Oh so
- 19:51Speaker 3: now I'm scared. Oh my god, it didn't feel good.
- 19:55Speaker 2: You fell off completely, or you crash into something.
- 19:58Speaker 3: I've like my the back wheel of my e bike
- 20:01Speaker 3: hit like dirt, and I just.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Oh, that's terrifying. Yeah, I'm glad. That's all it was.
- 20:06Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Yes see that for me, I'd never get on one again.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just over. I got back on the e bike.
- 20:14Speaker 3: I'm scared. But anyway, let's get touch it.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Let's get okay, let me open up this gift here. Okay,
- 20:24Speaker 2: I'm reaching in. It's a little blue bag, which I
- 20:26Speaker 2: think is so cute. Now it feels like there's two
- 20:29Speaker 2: things in here. Is that? Does it matter what order
- 20:31Speaker 2: they come out in? Okay? The first thing I'm feeling
- 20:33Speaker 2: is some sort of card or thin Okay, two different cards. Okay,
- 20:38Speaker 2: whoa you?
- 20:39Speaker 3: Oh it's true this first Yeah, the first.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Card says words to guide and inspire your day. You
- 20:48Speaker 2: are loved and on the.
- 20:49Speaker 3: That's from me, though you are loved, just from me.
- 20:51Speaker 3: It's sat inside of it. No, the same one. Okay, Yes,
- 20:55Speaker 3: you can pop open the little front of the card.
- 20:58Speaker 2: See you're very care because it feels like I'm gonna
- 21:00Speaker 2: break this.
- 21:01Speaker 3: I don't think you can.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Oh, it's almost like an advent calendar.
- 21:05Speaker 3: Yes, and that's a message from the universe for you.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Should I read it?
- 21:08Speaker 3: And they're all different. What does yours say?
- 21:10Speaker 2: You are already as courageous as you need to be? Disagree?
- 21:15Speaker 2: What if it's time? What if you're ready to.
- 21:17Speaker 3: Get a tattoo?
- 21:20Speaker 2: That might be true?
- 21:21Speaker 3: Yeah, or maybe you don't have to get a tattoo
- 21:23Speaker 3: because you're already as courageous as you need to be.
- 21:26Speaker 2: This is a very this to me. If this given
- 21:29Speaker 2: to the wrong person would have ends up with them
- 21:31Speaker 2: assassinating somebody.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Well maybe that's what the universe wants. Maybe that was
- 21:37Speaker 3: a bad person that would be such an incredible beginning
- 21:40Speaker 3: of like like John Wick movie, Like he's like, do
- 21:44Speaker 3: I kill someone? And then he opens this like sweet
- 21:47Speaker 3: card and he's like, I guess everyone dies?
- 21:49Speaker 2: I mean may this killing spirit Yeah, it's international killing spury.
- 21:55Speaker 2: That's a good movie. Yeah, it's like, uh, you know
- 21:58Speaker 2: Taro gone wrong. Yes, spirituality leads to d d well.
- 22:07Speaker 2: I really like that, and I think we should all
- 22:09Speaker 2: take that into account. What if it's time, what if
- 22:11Speaker 2: you're ready, yeah to go on your international killing spree. Yeah,
- 22:17Speaker 2: I hope this doesn't now. I hope the podcast. Now,
- 22:19Speaker 2: that's another movie where a podcast inspires somebody to god.
- 22:23Speaker 3: And you're about to take it on the road. Do
- 22:25Speaker 3: you have so much power? You have to really, you
- 22:27Speaker 3: got to check yourself. It's a good thing you have
- 22:29Speaker 3: a nice team around you, because you're out of control.
- 22:32Speaker 2: I'm absolutely out of control. I'm pushing too many boundaries. Agreed,
- 22:39Speaker 2: it's unbelievable. Okay. So I've got this beautiful little card.
- 22:41Speaker 2: Do you buy these? Like by the package? How do
- 22:44Speaker 2: you get this thing? It's almost like a Valentine. I
- 22:47Speaker 2: really like it.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Say that it's from a large shipping conglomerate that may
- 22:53Speaker 3: or may not be ruining our the Earth, our planet.
- 22:57Speaker 3: But maybe you can get them from a small local store.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Okay, it seems like something that you could buy locally. Yeah,
- 23:02Speaker 2: buy your Tarot gift card from the universe at your
- 23:07Speaker 2: local Crystal store rather than your giant company.
- 23:12Speaker 3: Yes, Amazon, we all know what we're we're saying it.
- 23:16Speaker 3: I'm sorry, We're all guilty.
- 23:20Speaker 2: We're all guilty, and that's fine.
- 23:24Speaker 5: What it is. It just is what it is.
- 23:26Speaker 2: It is what it is.
- 23:27Speaker 3: You know what we're feeling bad about it.
- 23:29Speaker 2: We're feeling as long as you feel bad about yourself
- 23:31Speaker 2: and everything you do all the time, do whatever.
- 23:34Speaker 3: Whatever you want. You're courageous enough that would.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Be a good thing in one of these cards. Yeah, okay,
- 23:38Speaker 2: And now I've also got an Aroma Coffee and Tea
- 23:42Speaker 2: company gift card.
- 23:42Speaker 3: I did hear you say how much you like gift cards.
- 23:45Speaker 2: I love gift cards and they're also paralyzing for me.
- 23:48Speaker 3: Yes, great, I've had that one for two to three years.
- 23:51Speaker 2: This lines up with the way I treat gift cards.
- 23:54Speaker 3: I heard on your podcast, and so I've passed it
- 23:57Speaker 3: on to you. Which is also sort of like a
- 24:00Speaker 3: horror film, like, Yeah, this is what is that.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Uh, it follows.
- 24:06Speaker 3: So now I've put the disease in you, and it's
- 24:08Speaker 3: yours until you pass it along to someone else.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Gift follows.
- 24:12Speaker 3: Yeah, it's also a great coffee shot.
- 24:14Speaker 2: I've heard good things about this place. I have a
- 24:16Speaker 2: friend who goes here to write.
- 24:18Speaker 3: Yeah, so maybe you can pass it on to them,
- 24:21Speaker 3: but then.
- 24:21Speaker 2: She'll use it.
- 24:22Speaker 3: Oh boring, and.
- 24:23Speaker 2: Then the company is probably maybe these are like they're
- 24:26Speaker 2: counting on this twenty five dollars or whatever to like
- 24:28Speaker 2: to keep them afloat. They're like, if someone spends this card,
- 24:31Speaker 2: where you go out of business.
- 24:32Speaker 3: Yeah, Amazon takes over Amazon finally bias, so see that
- 24:36Speaker 3: cancels the other one out.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Oh very interesting. Yeah, this balances the universe.
- 24:41Speaker 3: So it's almost like I haven't given you anything at all.
- 24:44Speaker 2: Net neutral Yeah, just absolutely zero here, Yeah, which I like,
- 24:48Speaker 2: but you asked for. The thing is is if I
- 24:50Speaker 2: spend this, this could spend send the world into a
- 24:54Speaker 2: spiral that we may never recover from again.
- 24:57Speaker 3: You have ultimate power.
- 24:59Speaker 2: This is what's the movie with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan,
- 25:02Speaker 2: the Bookstore movie Emailing.
- 25:05Speaker 3: Oh you got Mail?
- 25:06Speaker 2: You got Mail? This is kind of a You've Got
- 25:10Speaker 2: Mail where the big company's trying to buy Is that
- 25:12Speaker 2: what happens? And he's trying to buy out this small
- 25:15Speaker 2: I brought you here today on your expert opinion. How
- 25:18Speaker 2: about you've got mailed?
- 25:19Speaker 3: Oh you asked the wrong person.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Neither of us has seen this movie, not in a
- 25:23Speaker 2: long time. I've never seen it. But I got the
- 25:26Speaker 2: general idea.
- 25:27Speaker 3: I think, m h, there's there's email.
- 25:30Speaker 2: There's email and books and buying.
- 25:32Speaker 3: And romance and romance, comedy.
- 25:34Speaker 2: And comedy and a little bit of heart.
- 25:37Speaker 3: So much heart.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Okay, Well, I've got this gift card and you've kept
- 25:43Speaker 2: it for three years, I think, So what's your When
- 25:45Speaker 2: someone gives you a gift card? Is that generally how
- 25:47Speaker 2: it goes? We're like, well, I just can't yeah, forget
- 25:51Speaker 2: about it, and we'll spend it.
- 25:52Speaker 3: It's I think that it got given to me by
- 25:54Speaker 3: the PTA of my son's school. Okay, volunteering. Oh, that's
- 25:58Speaker 3: which is very nice. But then he graduated from that campus.
- 26:02Speaker 2: Okay, right, so I never go there to that oh right.
- 26:07Speaker 2: And so you'd have to be in the neighborhood, and
- 26:09Speaker 2: then it would also have to be in your wallet.
- 26:11Speaker 3: Yes, it would have to be in my wallet.
- 26:14Speaker 2: And how many gift cards can have one person have
- 26:15Speaker 2: in their wallet. You can't have it for every area.
- 26:17Speaker 3: Of the simple I get, like the Gelson's, our local
- 26:21Speaker 3: grocery store, sens is like a five dollars off coupon.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Oh right, five dollars off. At Gelson's, you're still I mean.
- 26:27Speaker 3: At the strawberries that are only fifteen ninety nine and
- 26:32Speaker 3: rotten mostly Girlson's.
- 26:34Speaker 2: Don't get me started.
- 26:35Speaker 3: I know, I'm also I'm I hope you hear this. Glsons.
- 26:38Speaker 3: You need to get something happening with your produce. It
- 26:42Speaker 3: is not not fresh.
- 26:44Speaker 2: This is my take on Gelson's. It is Ralph's. But
- 26:49Speaker 2: the only thing that's different is the pricing. Yeah. It's
- 26:52Speaker 2: not like you know, you'll go to I don't know,
- 26:55Speaker 2: Whole Foods or whatever and you're like, oh, I can
- 26:57Speaker 2: notice a difference here. Yes, as you go to a Gelson's,
- 27:01Speaker 2: you're like, this is literally the same stuff.
- 27:03Speaker 3: There's no different brands. It's not like going to Trader
- 27:05Speaker 3: Joe's where you're like, oh, this Trader Joe's brand thing
- 27:08Speaker 3: of things that I can't get anywhere else.
- 27:09Speaker 2: No, it's just literally the grocery store pricing timestand but
- 27:13Speaker 2: it's so close to my home. I think that's where
- 27:16Speaker 2: they really get you. They've got the proximity, and they've got,
- 27:19Speaker 2: for whatever reason, a wine bar.
- 27:21Speaker 3: And they have a wine bar for whatever reason. For
- 27:23Speaker 3: your grocery store wine bar time leads.
- 27:27Speaker 2: When you spend nine dollars on a gallon of milk,
- 27:29Speaker 2: you need a drink.
- 27:30Speaker 3: That's true. That's I got to get drunk to shop there.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Everyone's just stumbling through the store behind their grocery car. Yes,
- 27:38Speaker 2: how did we get to Gelson's pricing? Let's see.
- 27:41Speaker 3: I don't know your jet lag. I don't know what's
- 27:45Speaker 3: wrong with me.
- 27:46Speaker 2: I need a little bit more coffee here.
- 27:48Speaker 3: I'll take a coffee break too. I'm excited for you
- 27:50Speaker 3: to open. What else is in your back?
- 27:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm going to get back into here because there's
- 27:54Speaker 2: almost feels like there's a If I had to guess
- 27:57Speaker 2: right now, I'd be like, this is an action figure.
- 27:59Speaker 2: But we'll see what it is. See, Oh my god,
- 28:02Speaker 2: it kind of is.
- 28:03Speaker 3: It kind of is and it matches your shirt.
- 28:05Speaker 2: Look at that a unicorn. Look how beautiful that look.
- 28:08Speaker 2: It's just like you almost exactly the color of my shirt.
- 28:12Speaker 2: Where did this come.
- 28:13Speaker 3: From well, okay, sweet unicorns are just my favorite and
- 28:18Speaker 3: I just love them, and so I have them. I
- 28:21Speaker 3: have like I have like a box of gift things
- 28:23Speaker 3: where like if it's like a birthday or someone's special
- 28:27Speaker 3: occasion or something, and then I wrap them a gift.
- 28:30Speaker 3: I'll wrap like a little unicorn or a little like
- 28:33Speaker 3: rainbow catcher, like light catcher on the outside.
- 28:37Speaker 2: Where are you getting your unicorns?
- 28:40Speaker 3: A small local store?
- 28:42Speaker 2: Your local unicorns?
- 28:44Speaker 3: Yeah, that's not Amazon.
- 28:47Speaker 2: Do you have like a box of unicorns? I do?
- 28:49Speaker 3: I have unicorn bulk.
- 28:51Speaker 2: Wow. That's whimsical. Thank you, very whimsical. Have you been
- 28:55Speaker 2: a unicorn person your whole life? Yes? Okay, I like
- 28:58Speaker 2: the confidence there.
- 28:59Speaker 3: Yes, I love a unicorn.
- 29:01Speaker 2: Where did it begin?
- 29:02Speaker 3: Probably Shira?
- 29:04Speaker 2: That makes sense.
- 29:04Speaker 3: She had a pegasus?
- 29:06Speaker 2: Did she ride it?
- 29:07Speaker 3: She wrote a pegasus and that also been a unicorn.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Pegasus is a unicorn with wings as well.
- 29:12Speaker 3: Correct doesn't necessarily have a horn. I don't know if
- 29:15Speaker 3: hers did wings.
- 29:18Speaker 2: Okay.
- 29:19Speaker 3: Also, do you remember did you ever watch Oh Fantasia
- 29:24Speaker 3: by Disney?
- 29:24Speaker 2: Oh?
- 29:24Speaker 3: Yeah, of course the original? Yes, there were like a
- 29:28Speaker 3: bunch of pegasus and that Pegasi Pegasi of course, thank you,
- 29:33Speaker 3: and unicorns, and I just love magic, magical fairies.
- 29:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I unicorns within the world of fantasy. I think
- 29:43Speaker 2: you're just kind of of course. I love a horse
- 29:45Speaker 2: with a horn that can fly and do these magical things.
- 29:48Speaker 2: I feel like you don't see as many unicorns in
- 29:50Speaker 2: popular media anymore. Yeah, it feels like even in fantasy movies,
- 29:54Speaker 2: they're not putting them in. I think that's the one thing,
- 29:56Speaker 2: except for there's that.
- 29:57Speaker 3: New movie, new unicorn movie.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Wait, isn't there like a movie about unicorns or something?
- 30:03Speaker 3: Movie?
- 30:03Speaker 2: Yeah, we're doing a twenty four movie. What does that call?
- 30:06Speaker 2: It's not the last Unicorn? That's another thing.
- 30:08Speaker 3: Is it like, no, I hit a unicorn with my car.
- 30:11Speaker 3: I feel like the killing of a sigt unicorn. Then
- 30:15Speaker 3: you just couldn't handle our You are so ready top
- 30:20Speaker 3: for that. That's why we blocked out the death part.
- 30:24Speaker 2: They hit it with a car. I don't know, it's
- 30:27Speaker 2: I know what you did last summer basically, So the unicorn,
- 30:31Speaker 2: the car, it's a movieing Merlin is trying to track
- 30:36Speaker 2: you down or something.
- 30:38Speaker 3: Watch it.
- 30:38Speaker 2: Let's see. My little pony is not unicorns. That's just pos.
- 30:42Speaker 3: They have some unicorns. I guess this is and also
- 30:45Speaker 3: Rainbow Bright. I think there was a unicorn and that
- 30:48Speaker 3: one in that Yeah.
- 30:49Speaker 2: That makes sense.
- 30:50Speaker 3: It was the very eighties totally.
- 30:52Speaker 2: But it doesn't feel like there's that unicorn. You know,
- 30:55Speaker 2: there's not like one famous is there? Who's our most
- 30:59Speaker 2: famous unicorn? Is the big question?
- 31:01Speaker 3: Who is our most famous unicorn?
- 31:04Speaker 2: Right?
- 31:04Speaker 3: Like a Mickey Mouse kind of a unicorn? Right, there's space.
- 31:09Speaker 3: We found a gap in the market.
- 31:11Speaker 2: We need a unicorn with a name. Yeah, is there
- 31:14Speaker 2: a single name unicorn? That's the big question. God, God
- 31:19Speaker 2: is a unicorn?
- 31:20Speaker 3: God is a unicorn? I believe it.
- 31:23Speaker 2: There's that that book, that children's book, The Last Unicorn.
- 31:27Speaker 2: But I don't even know if that that became a movie. Correct.
- 31:31Speaker 3: That movie was intense.
- 31:32Speaker 2: But look at us, we can't remember that unicorn's name.
- 31:36Speaker 3: I'm disappointed in myself.
- 31:38Speaker 2: I know, I'm you came here, you came in pretty hot.
- 31:41Speaker 2: Unicorn wise, you can't name a single unicorn?
- 31:44Speaker 3: Well, I can name all of them. That's the thing.
- 31:48Speaker 3: They all get mixed together.
- 31:50Speaker 2: There are plenty of famous horses.
- 31:52Speaker 3: Yeah, National Velvet thought it's name.
- 31:58Speaker 2: National.
- 31:59Speaker 3: That's a famous horse movie, isn't it? With Liz Liz
- 32:05Speaker 3: of White Diamonds fame going. She was famous, She was
- 32:11Speaker 3: friends with Michael Jackson. She had a perfume called White Diamonds.
- 32:15Speaker 2: Liz Taylor. Sure, she's in a movie about a horse
- 32:20Speaker 2: named National Velvet.
- 32:21Speaker 1: I believe.
- 32:21Speaker 2: So does she ride National Velvet?
- 32:23Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 32:24Speaker 2: Horse names are psycho when we get like real horse
- 32:29Speaker 2: names like that, it's like who when you name a
- 32:32Speaker 2: horse and you do that sort of naming, you are
- 32:33Speaker 2: revealing something very weird about yourself. I like it.
- 32:37Speaker 3: I like, I want to shirre that says horse names
- 32:40Speaker 3: are psycho.
- 32:42Speaker 5: It's worse than you even thought because the National Velot
- 32:44Speaker 5: was the name of the film. But the horse is
- 32:46Speaker 5: the Pie, the original horse, Pie Pie.
- 32:50Speaker 2: The Pie. And now that's kind of a stupid name.
- 32:53Speaker 3: The Pi E P I E the Pie.
- 32:56Speaker 2: I wish it was the private investigator.
- 32:58Speaker 3: Private investigator, What are you going to do? I'm going
- 33:01Speaker 3: to ride that pie. I'm going to ride that pie.
- 33:05Speaker 2: The pie. The horse is called the pie, the pie.
- 33:08Speaker 2: So when you're talking to it, you have to say, hello,
- 33:10Speaker 2: the pie.
- 33:11Speaker 3: Drop it, the pie?
- 33:14Speaker 4: Drop it?
- 33:15Speaker 3: Do you say that to a horse?
- 33:17Speaker 2: I think your horses constantly have things in their mouth.
- 33:19Speaker 3: Ye, leave it.
- 33:24Speaker 2: It's chewing up a big piece of bone or whatever,
- 33:27Speaker 2: just like drop the bone, the pie, the pie, the pie.
- 33:30Speaker 2: But national velvet, God knows what that even means. Then
- 33:33Speaker 2: what does national velvet refer to? Does Liz Taylor play
- 33:36Speaker 2: national velvet?
- 33:38Speaker 3: I don't know. Is velvet the fabric of the ribbon
- 33:42Speaker 3: that you win?
- 33:43Speaker 2: You get the national velvet? Yeah, the pie gets the
- 33:46Speaker 2: national velvet.
- 33:47Speaker 3: Everyone wants these twelve yards of fabric.
- 33:52Speaker 2: Wow, national velvet.
- 33:53Speaker 3: I really don't know.
- 33:55Speaker 2: Wow. The fact that you were able to pull that
- 33:57Speaker 2: film is.
- 34:00Speaker 3: But not the Taylor who knows a brain is a
- 34:05Speaker 3: brand is a weird.
- 34:07Speaker 2: As far as celebrity names goes mine is the most broken.
- 34:11Speaker 2: I cannot name a celebrity. The fact that I was
- 34:13Speaker 2: able to pull up Elizabeth Taylor was I think I
- 34:16Speaker 2: deserve a lot of.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Credit because I can't name on your emails.
- 34:20Speaker 2: Everyone, Yes, your ribbons, your National velvet vels. I deserve it.
- 34:26Speaker 2: I can't name my favorite celebrities. I have a very
- 34:28Speaker 2: hard time with that, really, And I brought this up
- 34:30Speaker 2: to my boyfriend. I was like, maybe there's something wrong
- 34:32Speaker 2: with me mentally, or maybe my brain is breaking. Down,
- 34:35Speaker 2: and he just brushed it off. So if something goes wrong,
- 34:38Speaker 2: it's his fault, okay, because I've warned him, Yes, and
- 34:43Speaker 2: I've also warned you, and I warned all of our listeners.
- 34:46Speaker 3: Now it's all of our faults.
- 34:47Speaker 2: Everyone's responsible but me. Okay, unicorns, unicorns, and we named
- 34:53Speaker 2: what we didn't name a single horse after me saying
- 34:55Speaker 2: they were famous horses. You said National Velvet, We learned
- 34:57Speaker 2: the pie. There's ed your seabiscuit.
- 35:02Speaker 3: Oh that's a pretty famous horse.
- 35:04Speaker 2: M And that's the end of my list, I guess.
- 35:07Speaker 2: But again, two more than a unicorn, I would say. Yeah.
- 35:11Speaker 2: And then there's the movie about the unicorn getting hit
- 35:13Speaker 2: by a car.
- 35:13Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a movie called a Unicorn Store.
- 35:17Speaker 2: What's that?
- 35:18Speaker 3: I think that Bree Larsen directed it.
- 35:23Speaker 2: Oh so it's new, No, it's well is compared to Velvet? Yeah,
- 35:30Speaker 2: newer than that Unicorn Store. Yeah, do you know what
- 35:33Speaker 2: that's about. I don't know why I'm asking you.
- 35:37Speaker 3: You know what, it's about a lot of movie. I
- 35:39Speaker 3: have a lot of movies to watch.
- 35:41Speaker 2: I know.
- 35:42Speaker 3: I got to get back to you.
- 35:43Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll check in with you periodically. Be able to
- 35:47Speaker 2: see National Velvet did you see unicorns?
- 35:49Speaker 3: It can be a new section of your podcast where
- 35:52Speaker 3: you just call me and ask me if I've seen
- 35:54Speaker 3: the movies that you want to know about.
- 35:57Speaker 2: It'll be years. You'll never watch any of them, but
- 35:59Speaker 2: we'll keep calling, calling and calling.
- 36:01Speaker 3: I probably won't. I don't think i'll watch those.
- 36:04Speaker 2: I have a hard time. You know, I'll put movies
- 36:06Speaker 2: on a list and I never get to the list. Yeah,
- 36:09Speaker 2: this is something I do. I'm going to reveal a
- 36:11Speaker 2: secret about myself. When someone recommends something to me. If
- 36:13Speaker 2: I say I'll put that on my list.
- 36:15Speaker 3: You mean fuck off.
- 36:16Speaker 2: Yes, absolutely, it's like it's not happening. It's just not Yeah,
- 36:22Speaker 2: it will have to be purely by mistake that I
- 36:24Speaker 2: watch your recommendation. You know I don't, and I don't
- 36:27Speaker 2: know why that is.
- 36:28Speaker 3: What do you gravitate toward, Like if you were to sit.
- 36:31Speaker 2: Down, just whatever is immediately in front of me, Oh, okay,
- 36:37Speaker 2: or that's valid. I think this might be Tell me
- 36:40Speaker 2: if this is true. I think most people have a
- 36:43Speaker 2: hard time actually taking a recommendation. I feel like when
- 36:46Speaker 2: I recommend something, I don't trust that anyone's ever gonna
- 36:49Speaker 2: actually even with I think the closest you'll come is this.
- 36:52Speaker 2: If it's a song, someone might listen to a three
- 36:55Speaker 2: minute thing, do you recommend? But and then I think
- 36:57Speaker 2: there are categories. It's like maybe a song mm hm,
- 37:01Speaker 2: potentially a YouTube video okay, next level TV episode of
- 37:08Speaker 2: a TV show, okay, what would be the next movie?
- 37:13Speaker 2: And then book book is probably the last thing someone's.
- 37:16Speaker 3: Gonna Actually, a restaurant are we only talking?
- 37:19Speaker 2: Restaurant is number one? Okay? Maybe even before a song.
- 37:22Speaker 2: Wouldn't you say that.
- 37:23Speaker 3: You'll try a restaurant?
- 37:24Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 37:24Speaker 3: But does it depend on where it is?
- 37:27Speaker 2: Location is important? Yeah, if it's a restaurant within ten minutes. Yeah,
- 37:33Speaker 2: people probably.
- 37:34Speaker 3: Are like in Japan, like if I was like, oh,
- 37:36Speaker 3: you're going to try this?
- 37:39Speaker 2: I mean, although I had probably nine people send me
- 37:41Speaker 2: lists of things to do in Japan, I probably took
- 37:43Speaker 2: one recommendation.
- 37:45Speaker 3: Right, which is something one on a nine ain't bad.
- 37:50Speaker 2: But you like, if I were to say, oh, you
- 37:52Speaker 2: have to hear the song, would you actually listen to it?
- 37:55Speaker 3: Probably?
- 37:55Speaker 2: Okay? And I think you would have to have it
- 37:58Speaker 2: be sent to you.
- 38:00Speaker 3: I will, I will. I like I like a reason
- 38:05Speaker 3: to judge someone.
- 38:07Speaker 2: So that's a great Yeah, wait to think about this,
- 38:12Speaker 2: if I could reframe it in my mind as I
- 38:14Speaker 2: get to judge them, I'll.
- 38:15Speaker 3: Get to judge you and decide if your taste is good,
- 38:17Speaker 3: if you're worth being a person or not. But I
- 38:22Speaker 3: think like, as you know, if people recommend things and
- 38:25Speaker 3: you try them, and then if you're like, Okay, my
- 38:27Speaker 3: taste kind of aligns with this person's taste, you.
- 38:30Speaker 2: Know, right, I think that's the way to go, where
- 38:32Speaker 2: it's like the song is a nice little teaser, and
- 38:36Speaker 2: if that works for you, you can start asking this
- 38:38Speaker 2: person for more things.
- 38:39Speaker 3: Yes, do you send like like videos to friends on Instagram?
- 38:45Speaker 2: I'm so careful. I'm maybe more careful than I need
- 38:48Speaker 2: to be, uh, because I maybe it's because I'm so
- 38:52Speaker 2: annoyed by people sending me things. I'm like, this has
- 38:55Speaker 2: to be perfect for me to send it to somebody.
- 38:58Speaker 2: And then maybe it's the pressure I'm putting myself. But
- 39:01Speaker 2: it's very rare that I'll send somebody a video maybe
- 39:05Speaker 2: like you know, like on Instagram, there will be like
- 39:08Speaker 2: a reductrous me or ClickHole thing that you have to
- 39:12Speaker 2: read seven words. I might send that okay video. I
- 39:16Speaker 2: have to be really sure of myself. What about you
- 39:18Speaker 2: do you?
- 39:19Speaker 3: I think yeah, Like different groups of people have become
- 39:23Speaker 3: like different things, Like I have two friends in a
- 39:27Speaker 3: group chat called pop Parade where we just send like pop.
- 39:30Speaker 2: Puppy that's great to each other or yes, yeah.
- 39:32Speaker 3: And that's nice. And if I have another group of
- 39:36Speaker 3: friends like my closest friends, and if someone sends me
- 39:38Speaker 3: a video that I'm not into, I will be like,
- 39:40Speaker 3: I'm not into this video.
- 39:42Speaker 2: You're that honest?
- 39:43Speaker 3: Yeah, because like, let's curate this. Don't be sending me
- 39:47Speaker 3: more of this. I'm not I don't care for it.
- 39:50Speaker 3: And I hope that the same thing will be said
- 39:52Speaker 3: to me, like no, thank you to this one, like okay, okay,
- 39:54Speaker 3: your taste is not going in that direction.
- 39:57Speaker 2: That is so healthy, That is such a healthy the
- 40:00Speaker 2: behavior because that is the opposite of me, where I
- 40:03Speaker 2: will no matter what anybody sends me, I will not
- 40:07Speaker 2: express my unless I really I'll tell someone if I
- 40:09Speaker 2: really love it, but I'll never say I don't love something, which.
- 40:13Speaker 3: You'll just never speak to them again. I slowly left
- 40:17Speaker 3: that friendship trouble into the sea.
- 40:20Speaker 2: No. I'm on a text thread with two other friends
- 40:23Speaker 2: and we send each other music all the time, and
- 40:25Speaker 2: two of us I think we're brought up in houses
- 40:28Speaker 2: that never wanted to keep things as that everything's fine
- 40:32Speaker 2: as possible. And the other person was a house wherever
- 40:35Speaker 2: everyone was honest with each other. And he'll constantly be like,
- 40:37Speaker 2: I don't like this, I don't like this, and I
- 40:38Speaker 2: think my other friend and I will be.
- 40:40Speaker 3: Like, oh that hurts it though, Yeah, that means you
- 40:42Speaker 3: don't like me.
- 40:43Speaker 2: Yeah, that's reflection of my being my good as a person. Yeah,
- 40:47Speaker 2: but he's just being honest, which is totally fine. I'm
- 40:50Speaker 2: slowly learning that that's an okay thing to do.
- 40:53Speaker 3: I think it comes with age, right, I hope so
- 40:56Speaker 3: I think so where it's like, oh, they are actually
- 40:59Speaker 3: like a ton of different ways to do things, and
- 41:01Speaker 3: if someone does it differently than me, maybe that doesn't
- 41:04Speaker 3: mean I'm a piece of shit.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Right. And I didn't create this, Yeah, I sent a link.
- 41:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I just opened this clam. I didn't make this
- 41:12Speaker 3: clam exactly.
- 41:15Speaker 2: But I'm just people are sending me everything all the time,
- 41:17Speaker 2: willy nilly because they don't know what I care about.
- 41:20Speaker 2: I guess, yeah, but then I complain about everything else,
- 41:23Speaker 2: so I don't know what's wrong with me ultimately, well
- 41:26Speaker 2: more start here to find out right today we get
- 41:30Speaker 2: the answers about my personality. Yeah, no, I could do
- 41:35Speaker 2: a little more curating as far as just telling people,
- 41:37Speaker 2: oh no, stop sending me this. Maybe I don't have
- 41:41Speaker 2: to be that harsh.
- 41:41Speaker 3: It's a no for me dog. Maybe just make it funny.
- 41:47Speaker 2: Yeah, but see, I feel like I'll overcorrect and then
- 41:50Speaker 2: just be rude.
- 41:51Speaker 3: Well, if they're your real friends, they listen to your
- 41:55Speaker 3: podcast and now they know so.
- 41:57Speaker 2: I have zero friends. I wonder if I often wonder
- 42:02Speaker 2: if any of my real friends listen to my podcast.
- 42:05Speaker 2: If you're a real friend for each other.
- 42:07Speaker 3: Out send him an email. I have one of my
- 42:11Speaker 3: very dear friends with my closest friends, Elizabeth lame Haw's
- 42:14Speaker 3: a podcast called Nobody's Listening Right, and it's just her
- 42:19Speaker 3: and her husband Andy talking. And I have a hard
- 42:22Speaker 3: time listening to it because you know the person if
- 42:25Speaker 3: I'm friends with her, like, just tell me if you
- 42:27Speaker 3: want me to know otherwise, Like, I don't know.
- 42:30Speaker 2: Right, I feel like, yeah, I wouldn't blame anyone in
- 42:33Speaker 2: my immediate life if they well except for.
- 42:35Speaker 3: My well, whatever, who are we blaming?
- 42:40Speaker 2: There are a couple of people like you could be
- 42:42Speaker 2: listening to this, yeah, but my friends are like I
- 42:46Speaker 2: would never expect them to listen, Like we are in
- 42:48Speaker 2: constant communication with each other. Yeah, and why wouldn't I
- 42:52Speaker 2: just tell you? And also it feels almost.
- 42:54Speaker 3: Nosy, Yeah, my business.
- 42:57Speaker 2: I could be talking about you. Yeah, I could be
- 43:01Speaker 2: complaining about you to the rest of the time.
- 43:02Speaker 3: I am stop sending me your shitty music.
- 43:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I uh so, I can't. I mentioned too many
- 43:10Speaker 2: of my actual friends listen to the podcast.
- 43:13Speaker 3: When my mom my mom will be like I listen
- 43:15Speaker 3: to your podcast, I'm like, don't that's not for you.
- 43:18Speaker 2: That feels invasive, right, yes.
- 43:20Speaker 3: Like she'll comment on my Instagram, Oh that's very sweet.
- 43:24Speaker 2: It is.
- 43:24Speaker 3: It's sweet, but it's also like, get out of my business.
- 43:27Speaker 3: But also, I'm you're making everyone else's costs of thousands
- 43:32Speaker 3: of people, I'm making it everyone's business.
- 43:35Speaker 2: Is that something you had to get comfortable with, like
- 43:37Speaker 2: as a public person, like your family knowing, Like, sure,
- 43:41Speaker 2: that's something I had to as well. Yeah, Oh, I
- 43:44Speaker 2: guess they just have access to this. Yeah, you just
- 43:46Speaker 2: have to be okay with that.
- 43:47Speaker 3: And isn't that funny? Why do we feel like so prete,
- 43:50Speaker 3: Like we're like, yeah, any like Tom Dick or Harry Right, fine,
- 43:53Speaker 3: but like I don't my mom.
- 43:55Speaker 2: To know God, Mom, yeah she can't know this.
- 43:58Speaker 3: No, like when you were have you ever smoked?
- 44:01Speaker 2: I'm like.
- 44:04Speaker 3: Camp also my child, but if you ever hear?
- 44:09Speaker 2: Oh my god. The next level, totally next level is
- 44:13Speaker 2: that how old your kid can?
- 44:15Speaker 3: I ask thirteen?
- 44:16Speaker 2: Is this something you have to talk to your kids
- 44:17Speaker 2: about now? Like don't smoke?
- 44:20Speaker 3: Eah? Not totally yet for him, but like vaping is
- 44:24Speaker 3: a big conversation because there's also like billboards everywhere.
- 44:28Speaker 2: Right of course? Yeah, and what is that conversation with
- 44:31Speaker 2: a teenager at this point? I feel like my parents
- 44:34Speaker 2: never really talked to me about that, Like elementary school,
- 44:36Speaker 2: they kind of just like hammered at home, like don't smoke. Yeah,
- 44:39Speaker 2: my parents didn't smoke, so I don't know. I never
- 44:41Speaker 2: felt like a conversation. But do you feel like there's
- 44:44Speaker 2: a lot of pressure for your kid not to smoke? No? Okay,
- 44:48Speaker 2: I don't.
- 44:48Speaker 3: Feel like kids smoke as much as they do, but
- 44:52Speaker 3: I guess four kids from his school just got suspended
- 44:56Speaker 3: for vaping at school.
- 44:58Speaker 2: So age smoking it's like very.
- 45:02Speaker 3: Fun, It's vaping though, now, so I think you can
- 45:04Speaker 3: just kind of like it's not like having.
- 45:06Speaker 2: A cingarette right right, You just go into the and you.
- 45:09Speaker 3: Just feel like like people do it inside.
- 45:13Speaker 2: Like completely completely, but probably do it on airplanes. Probably interesting. Yeah,
- 45:18Speaker 2: so the kids got in trouble. I wonder how they
- 45:21Speaker 2: got caught. I don't know.
- 45:23Speaker 3: Kids are stupid. Sorry, kids, you're listening.
- 45:28Speaker 2: When was the first time you smoked?
- 45:31Speaker 3: Fifteen?
- 45:32Speaker 2: Okay? Was it a peer pressure situation or were you
- 45:34Speaker 2: the person?
- 45:35Speaker 3: I think I was probably trying to just be cool.
- 45:37Speaker 3: As we've established, I have a deep.
- 45:40Speaker 2: Deep, desperate, clawing, deep.
- 45:42Speaker 3: Hole inside me that needs to be filled with people
- 45:46Speaker 3: thinking I'm cool.
- 45:50Speaker 2: I mean, well, let me speaking of cool, you're trying
- 45:52Speaker 2: to fit in constantly obviously bringing something to the podcast
- 45:56Speaker 2: with the skiff, there's still other things.
- 45:57Speaker 3: There's two more things in there. I just did a
- 45:59Speaker 3: teenage any grab bag?
- 46:00Speaker 2: Yeah. The next thing feels almost like a piece of taffy.
- 46:03Speaker 2: Let's let's see if I'm good at ooh what Actually
- 46:06Speaker 2: it is a candy but it's not taffy.
- 46:08Speaker 3: What is It's the best caramel you've ever had?
- 46:11Speaker 2: Should I eat it now? Is that gonna be gross
- 46:13Speaker 2: on Mic.
- 46:13Speaker 3: I don't know, are you brave enough? It is your
- 46:18Speaker 3: I can fill I can feel to. This is me
- 46:20Speaker 3: just trying to feel to.
- 46:21Speaker 2: Can you sing? Yes?
- 46:22Speaker 3: Okay, this is my podcast.
- 46:24Speaker 2: Now, okay, I'm gonna try this. Now, let's see. This
- 46:28Speaker 2: might take a while for me to eat caramel? Is
- 46:29Speaker 2: you know what?
- 46:30Speaker 3: It's not so bad, It's not the stickiest time, it's
- 46:33Speaker 3: I got it when I was in Yucca Valley this weekend. Okay,
- 46:39Speaker 3: at Mojave, at a small local store.
- 46:42Speaker 2: M eat half of it some case.
- 46:44Speaker 3: But can you do you like it? Do you like
- 46:46Speaker 3: a caramel? Isn't it so salty in the best way?
- 46:50Speaker 2: That's incredible. It's so buttery.
- 46:52Speaker 3: I got it Mojave Mercantile, I think is what it's
- 46:55Speaker 3: called in Yucca Valley. But it's a le bon arson
- 47:00Speaker 3: I think it said on the box.
- 47:02Speaker 2: Oh that's fantastic. Right where do they make this? Is
- 47:05Speaker 2: it French?
- 47:06Speaker 3: It sounds like I don't know. I did no research.
- 47:09Speaker 3: I pulled it out of a box of many of them. Oh,
- 47:13Speaker 3: I'm sorry I didn't bring enough for everyone. I thought
- 47:16Speaker 3: about it. I feel bad that I didn't bring enough
- 47:18Speaker 3: for the class.
- 47:19Speaker 2: I'm sorry, I hate that I'm rushing through it.
- 47:22Speaker 3: Yeah, you're gonna have to drive to Yuccavelley to get
- 47:25Speaker 3: some more of those sweet sweet salty.
- 47:28Speaker 2: It's so salty, it's amazing. Yeah. Yeah, that's what Almost
- 47:31Speaker 2: every candy I need now is almost not to be
- 47:34Speaker 2: sweet at all.
- 47:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 47:35Speaker 2: I just want it to be salt and barely sweet.
- 47:37Speaker 3: Like licking a clam.
- 47:40Speaker 2: If only this was thicker, colder, and slimier, I would
- 47:44Speaker 2: have loved it.
- 47:44Speaker 3: But I did give you that same staring at you,
- 47:47Speaker 3: an expectation while you were eating it.
- 47:50Speaker 2: Suddenly I'm gagging.
- 47:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm like, oh, swallow it, swallow it.
- 47:54Speaker 2: That's so good. Why were you in Yucca Valley Because.
- 47:57Speaker 3: My friend is in a band called Hardcouartet all fantastic
- 48:01Speaker 3: and they're touring right now.
- 48:02Speaker 2: They're a recent kind of super group.
- 48:04Speaker 3: Yeah, they're incredible. Oh my friend Emma Kelly is in it.
- 48:08Speaker 3: That's great, amazing and yeah, so I just got to
- 48:11Speaker 3: go see like my nineties.
- 48:13Speaker 2: That's so cool. It's Stephen Malchelmus.
- 48:18Speaker 3: Yeah, who are the is Matt Sweeney right? Jim White's
- 48:21Speaker 3: the drummer, yes from Dirty Three, and then Emmett Kelly.
- 48:25Speaker 2: Oh that's so cool.
- 48:26Speaker 3: Oh my god, they're so good.
- 48:27Speaker 2: I imagine this is their first tour or something.
- 48:29Speaker 3: First tour. Okay, so I saw the very first show.
- 48:32Speaker 2: I'm sure everyone was thrilled about it.
- 48:34Speaker 3: It was amazing.
- 48:35Speaker 2: Oh that's really cool.
- 48:36Speaker 3: You mean me being there?
- 48:37Speaker 2: Yes? Of course, who gets a sh about the band? Yeah?
- 48:41Speaker 3: Everyone was thrill.
- 48:42Speaker 2: Did you see who's in the audience?
- 48:43Speaker 3: Yeah? Yes, because she wouldn't stop crying.
- 48:50Speaker 2: Wow. Are you a big music person into that? I am?
- 48:53Speaker 3: I like to see live music, okay, okay?
- 48:55Speaker 5: Do you?
- 48:56Speaker 2: Oh? I love it? I love it and I hate it.
- 48:59Speaker 2: Concerts are a complicated experience for me, and I complain
- 49:03Speaker 2: about them often, even shows I really love. I have
- 49:05Speaker 2: a hard time. And I've said this before, and it's
- 49:07Speaker 2: often because I'll go to a concert and I'll be
- 49:09Speaker 2: like I'll be looking around at everyone in the audience
- 49:11Speaker 2: and be like, oh, I'm like these people. Do you
- 49:15Speaker 2: know what I mean?
- 49:15Speaker 3: Sure?
- 49:16Speaker 2: It's just like to me, a concert feels like I'm
- 49:18Speaker 2: a mirror that can push you around. You're like you're
- 49:22Speaker 2: getting knocked back and forth by people who are like you,
- 49:24Speaker 2: and you're realizing, oh I hate me.
- 49:26Speaker 3: Sure, I hear you? I do feel like I was
- 49:29Speaker 3: watching myself being proud of myself, thinking that I wasn't
- 49:33Speaker 3: worried about people what people were thinking about me.
- 49:37Speaker 2: During the grace, and you weren't drunk.
- 49:39Speaker 3: I was. I don't drink.
- 49:40Speaker 2: Oh amazing. Yeah, so well that's a big moment for
- 49:45Speaker 2: you just as a person to be like.
- 49:46Speaker 3: I'm so proud of me for not thinking about myself constantly.
- 49:50Speaker 3: Right now, I could just enjoy this experience. It's just
- 49:55Speaker 3: about watching your thoughts, right Yeah. I suppose they come
- 49:58Speaker 3: in and there fuck bananas.
- 50:01Speaker 2: They're almost all imagined.
- 50:03Speaker 3: And to be like, I'm not going to attach to you.
- 50:05Speaker 2: Just keep going, keep moving, keep keep moving. How often
- 50:08Speaker 2: are you going to a live show?
- 50:10Speaker 3: I mean, I guess it depends on, like if it's
- 50:15Speaker 3: concert season kind of, but I would say at least
- 50:18Speaker 3: once a month.
- 50:19Speaker 2: Oh, that's great.
- 50:19Speaker 3: I saw Shannon and the Clams.
- 50:21Speaker 2: Oh fantastic band, Clams.
- 50:23Speaker 3: And Clams, the best kind of Clams.
- 50:27Speaker 2: She's an amazing singer, what a voice.
- 50:29Speaker 3: I love her very much. She's a wonderful person.
- 50:31Speaker 2: Oh good, that's nice.
- 50:32Speaker 3: She's amazing. Okay, And they were playing at Tippatinas when
- 50:36Speaker 3: I was in New Orleans.
- 50:37Speaker 2: Oh cool. Yeah, so just by chance you got to
- 50:40Speaker 2: see them?
- 50:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I just happened to be there at the same time.
- 50:43Speaker 2: Do you have a like an all time favorite concert?
- 50:46Speaker 5: Ah?
- 50:46Speaker 3: Yes, I think Neutral mal Hotel. Oh my god, also
- 50:50Speaker 3: in New Orleans.
- 50:51Speaker 2: Wow? When was that?
- 50:53Speaker 3: Maybe like ten years ago?
- 50:54Speaker 2: Oh, that's really cool. That's a rare thing.
- 50:57Speaker 3: I feel like I could send you music and you
- 50:58Speaker 3: could send me music. I feel like seem to be vibing.
- 51:01Speaker 2: Yes. Absolutely, Wow, that's a really cool show. Was it long?
- 51:05Speaker 2: Did he play for a while?
- 51:06Speaker 3: Yeah, they played forever. They sounded perfectly like I also,
- 51:11Speaker 3: I love an LCD sound system just because they sound
- 51:15Speaker 3: so much like the album that a dance party, dance part.
- 51:19Speaker 2: Are you going to see them later this year with Pulp? Yes? Oh,
- 51:22Speaker 2: I can't wait. Polp is one of my all time,
- 51:25Speaker 2: all time favorite best amazing And so I haven't bought
- 51:28Speaker 2: tickets yet. Someone told me to wait at the Hollywood's. Yeah.
- 51:31Speaker 2: Does it make sense to wait for tickets?
- 51:33Speaker 3: I don't know. Maybe you can get like last minute tickets,
- 51:37Speaker 3: maybe because like the bots buy them all up and
- 51:39Speaker 3: they're then they're at the height of their price and
- 51:41Speaker 3: then they.
- 51:41Speaker 2: Go down somebody just told me they've got Beyonce tickets
- 51:44Speaker 2: for twenty dollars, So maybe I did hear.
- 51:46Speaker 3: That Beyonce's tickets were not as much interesting.
- 51:50Speaker 2: What's happening there.
- 51:51Speaker 3: We're all horrified and afraid of all of our money
- 51:55Speaker 3: being taken from us by the government.
- 51:59Speaker 2: There's a Yeah.
- 52:01Speaker 3: I did go to book a plane ticket and my
- 52:03Speaker 3: card didn't work like twice, and I was like, oh
- 52:05Speaker 3: my god, it's happened. They've taken my money and I'm
- 52:07Speaker 3: only allowed to buy things if my husband says it's okay.
- 52:11Speaker 3: And then I was like, oh, maybe my credit card's expired.
- 52:15Speaker 3: That's the other option.
- 52:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess there is always that worry. But I
- 52:19Speaker 2: guess I'll just be waiting a couple of months. So
- 52:21Speaker 2: then if it does, if I can't buy tickets, I'll
- 52:23Speaker 2: just call me.
- 52:24Speaker 3: I'll call you and Bee like, please, please, can I
- 52:28Speaker 3: go with you?
- 52:30Speaker 2: Give me your other tick.
- 52:31Speaker 3: There's no other way I can get a ticket.
- 52:33Speaker 2: You're the only person I know that I've talked to
- 52:35Speaker 2: about this. No, I'll just blame my friend and just
- 52:38Speaker 2: ruin his life or something. He goes some more concerts
- 52:41Speaker 2: than I do. Certainly he knows better than I do.
- 52:43Speaker 2: Great Neutral Milk Hotail. That was your favorite show?
- 52:46Speaker 3: Yeah, do you have a favorite show?
- 52:50Speaker 2: Yes, Eleanor Friedberger I saw. I don't know. Do you
- 52:55Speaker 2: know the Banfiery Furnaces, Yes, she's half of that band,
- 53:00Speaker 2: but she's got four amazing solo albums and her Fiery
- 53:05Speaker 2: Furnaces as a band. Whenever you would see them live,
- 53:07Speaker 2: they would play their music completely differently than as recorded,
- 53:11Speaker 2: which is an incredible experience. It's so fun to see
- 53:14Speaker 2: just like totally new versions of songs you like, and
- 53:16Speaker 2: then she does kind of slightly similar thing where you
- 53:19Speaker 2: go in. It was like the like her music's not
- 53:22Speaker 2: the most the most rocking music you've ever heard on album,
- 53:26Speaker 2: but live it was like singing a punk show. It
- 53:30Speaker 2: was unbelievable. It was so cool, and I love her
- 53:34Speaker 2: so much, but it was an unexpected thing too, so
- 53:36Speaker 2: I think that's what made it such a wonderful concert.
- 53:39Speaker 5: I think that.
- 53:39Speaker 2: Oh and then Pulp seeing them last year was Jarvis
- 53:43Speaker 2: Cocker is sixty two or so and still performs like
- 53:48Speaker 2: he's twenty eight or something. It's so fun to see
- 53:50Speaker 2: that's such a cool, naturally cool person. Those are my
- 53:54Speaker 2: two favorites, i'd say, oh, that's great. I don't know that.
- 53:56Speaker 2: I've tried to think if I've ever had a really
- 53:58Speaker 2: horrible concert experience.
- 54:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I know I have, Yeah, but it's just like, yeah,
- 54:07Speaker 3: I've been to somewhere like it's too crowded and everyone's
- 54:11Speaker 3: a little too drunk, and there are people like screaming loudly,
- 54:14Speaker 3: like what's she playing? Play? What I want you to play?
- 54:19Speaker 3: Like that kind of situation.
- 54:21Speaker 2: There's always one really drunk person that can ruin it
- 54:24Speaker 2: for everybody. There's a band that I love, but when
- 54:29Speaker 2: a band gets too jammied live, that can be a
- 54:32Speaker 2: difficult experience. I saw Built a Spill a long time
- 54:35Speaker 2: ago and there was a little too much jamming.
- 54:37Speaker 3: Was it at the will Turn?
- 54:39Speaker 2: No, this was when I was still living.
- 54:40Speaker 3: In Salt Lake, And I don't know when that was because.
- 54:46Speaker 2: I don't know twenty years ago, twenty years ago.
- 54:49Speaker 3: Maybe I feel that way about I love Built a
- 54:51Speaker 3: Spill too, and I feel that way about Built.
- 54:52Speaker 2: It sometimes live there's just there's some noodling on the
- 54:55Speaker 2: guitar where I just feel like, I know people love jamming.
- 54:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I can use some edit, yeah, And I don't
- 55:01Speaker 3: really speak guitar. So like, sometimes I'm like, like, my
- 55:05Speaker 3: husband's very musical, and so sometimes I'll be like, I
- 55:08Speaker 3: bet he's enjoying this in a way that I'm not
- 55:10Speaker 3: able to enjoy it because I don't understand the mechanics.
- 55:13Speaker 2: Of it, right, That's how I am. I'm just like, well,
- 55:15Speaker 2: now this just isn't the.
- 55:17Speaker 3: Song that I and then we become the junk girl play.
- 55:25Speaker 2: But I do again. I love Built a Spill. I
- 55:27Speaker 2: don't want to say anything too terrible.
- 55:29Speaker 3: Same, don't come at us Built a Spill, jeez, I
- 55:32Speaker 3: will say.
- 55:33Speaker 2: A nice experience is to leave a concert early with
- 55:35Speaker 2: friends and everyone everyone recognizes we're done here, and you
- 55:38Speaker 2: get to leave, yeah, because you all feel so connected
- 55:41Speaker 2: to each other. We're like, we don't have to stay
- 55:43Speaker 2: as far longer than we need to be here.
- 55:45Speaker 3: Oh yeah. I did also get to say this will
- 55:48Speaker 3: be my last one, and then there's one last thing
- 55:50Speaker 3: in there. Liz Fair oh exile of course. Last year
- 55:57Speaker 3: she played the whole.
- 55:58Speaker 2: Oh that's amazing and it was so fun. Oh that
- 56:03Speaker 2: sounds great. I love this. I don't know if bands
- 56:06Speaker 2: love this new trend of having to play their old
- 56:08Speaker 2: albums all the way through. But it's like, when else
- 56:11Speaker 2: are you going to get an.
- 56:12Speaker 3: Opportunity to hear though it was I think thirty years
- 56:15Speaker 3: oh at least right, and she was so like like
- 56:19Speaker 3: she just kind of kept being like, I can't believe
- 56:21Speaker 3: you guys enjoy. So it also was like she was like,
- 56:25Speaker 3: this is amazing, and we were like, this is amazing.
- 56:28Speaker 3: It was great. Yeah.
- 56:30Speaker 2: Yeah, a lot of bands their first few are their
- 56:34Speaker 2: best anyway, and so you but it's like I feel
- 56:36Speaker 2: guilty that I don't want to listen to your newer.
- 56:38Speaker 3: Yeah, or it hates you. It's it's about hitting you
- 56:41Speaker 3: at a certain time in your life.
- 56:43Speaker 2: Oh yeah, there's no Soldia tied into it and all
- 56:45Speaker 2: sorts of things. And then yeah, but I think that's
- 56:48Speaker 2: a great trend.
- 56:49Speaker 3: Yeah, me too. Keep it coming.
- 56:51Speaker 2: I'm happy with that.
- 56:52Speaker 3: Keep it coming.
- 56:53Speaker 2: Okay, let's get into this final thing here. It feels
- 56:56Speaker 2: like another.
- 56:58Speaker 3: Oh it's also orange.
- 57:00Speaker 2: It's a look out beautifully. I mean, if you're watching
- 57:04Speaker 2: the video of this on YouTube, you're now saying on
- 57:07Speaker 2: almost art directed episode where I've got a unicorn, that's
- 57:10Speaker 2: color of my tst.
- 57:12Speaker 3: It goes with back here.
- 57:13Speaker 2: I'm just going to put these on our shelf. Yes,
- 57:16Speaker 2: these just go permanently on here.
- 57:18Speaker 3: I was hoping my guys make it back there. I
- 57:20Speaker 3: didn't know. I don't know you, so I didn't know
- 57:22Speaker 3: if you were more of a dinosaur person or more
- 57:24Speaker 3: of a unicorn person.
- 57:26Speaker 2: I would say, I'm kind of in the middle, you know,
- 57:29Speaker 2: unicorn dinosaur thing. It's a spectrum. Ultimately, it's a spectrum.
- 57:33Speaker 2: It's just like anything else in the world. It's a spectrum.
- 57:37Speaker 2: And I would say, I'm right here in the middle
- 57:39Speaker 2: of this.
- 57:40Speaker 3: You're the Eiffel Tower.
- 57:41Speaker 2: I'm the Eiffel Tower of unicorns and dinosaurs. No, I
- 57:46Speaker 2: like Growing up, I probably would have read more about
- 57:49Speaker 2: unicorns fantasy level, but I like dinosaurs and science type stuff.
- 57:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 57:54Speaker 2: I love Jurassic Park, the original at least so good.
- 57:58Speaker 2: Still a great movie.
- 57:59Speaker 3: Just rewatch it. Highly highly recommend it.
- 58:01Speaker 2: It holds up really well. Yeah. I've only seen a
- 58:04Speaker 2: couple of the other ones, and I've never been as thrilled.
- 58:07Speaker 2: Yeah they're fine.
- 58:09Speaker 3: Yeah, Yeah, are.
- 58:10Speaker 2: There any other Well, Godzilla is not quite a dinosaur,
- 58:13Speaker 2: but I saw that Godzilla minus whatever it was, the
- 58:17Speaker 2: Japanese one last year. Unbelievable, very cool, it's like genuinely scary.
- 58:22Speaker 3: Yeah, really loved that one.
- 58:23Speaker 2: Yeah, it really feels like as close as I felt, like, Oh,
- 58:26Speaker 2: this is what it would feel like if Godzilla existed.
- 58:28Speaker 2: It would be kind of scary, very scary. This thing
- 58:31Speaker 2: is an giant creature destroying Japan. Yeah.
- 58:36Speaker 3: I would just went on a swamp tour also, highly
- 58:40Speaker 3: first swamp. I was from Mississippi and Louisiana grew up
- 58:44Speaker 3: going there. Highly recommend Ragin Cajun Swamp to War.
- 58:48Speaker 2: I love the name. I'm behind it already.
- 58:50Speaker 3: But yeah, got to meet a thirteen foot long twenty
- 58:56Speaker 3: six year.
- 58:57Speaker 2: Olds like it kind of if you stuff right there,
- 59:01Speaker 2: you just met a thirteen foot long twenty six year old.
- 59:04Speaker 3: That's it worth it, alligator. But like even just seeing that,
- 59:11Speaker 3: the massive size of that thing, that is terrifying. Like
- 59:14Speaker 3: even if just that was running around, Oh my god.
- 59:17Speaker 3: Of course it doesn't even have to be.
- 59:19Speaker 2: I don't think I could be in a boat near that.
- 59:21Speaker 2: I would be so scared.
- 59:22Speaker 3: I was afraid right before I went. And they have
- 59:26Speaker 3: them crawl up onto the boat.
- 59:28Speaker 2: Not that ba no no no no oh.
- 59:30Speaker 3: But the smaller ones. There were sisters named Shanaya and twain.
- 59:34Speaker 2: It was cute.
- 59:35Speaker 3: They did a good job.
- 59:37Speaker 2: Did you get to touch them?
- 59:38Speaker 3: No? Okay, they're like I mean, they're straight up wild animal, right,
- 59:42Speaker 3: but they live in this like I think this company
- 59:45Speaker 3: probably owns this amount of swampland. So they're used to
- 59:48Speaker 3: the boats okay, okay, And they feed them chicken legs,
- 59:52Speaker 3: but not so much that they won't eat their natural Yeah. Yeah,
- 59:57Speaker 3: they're natural prey humans and unicorns. That's what happened to
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: the unicorns.
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: Wow. The thing that scares me most about alligators is
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: the whipping and thrashing. The jaws are not like, but
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: I feel like if you got closer and starts freaking out,
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: that scares me. Getting whipped by that table.
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: You and take you underwater and row and roll you
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: around until you're drowned and like soft and then shove
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: you and I'll shove you in a log and come
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: back and eat you later.
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: Is that true? It puts you away, It puts you.
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: Away for later to soften you up. That's what you
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: should have done to the clam.
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: That's what the sushi chef should have done to the colts.
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: That's true.
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: I'm not responsible for this, holding this for me actually
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: put this in a log for a few days.
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: Are just in your palm, in your warm palm.
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: Wow, I didn't know that's a new fact about alligators.
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: I didn't know.
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure it's true.
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: Well, they have kind of a food storage system that
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: they've got going humans all over for later. Yeah, but
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: that is kind of like that's not The teeth aren't
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: as much danger, right, it's the like strangling you to
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: death or.
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: I don't know, I think the jaw.
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: Big clampers, clampers. Speaking of animals that are used to humans,
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: we went to a monkey parkist.
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: Kyoto where you go inside the house.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: And yeah, it's incredible, incredible.
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: Did you love it?
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: I adored it. And it didn't feel like it wasn't
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: like a I may be wrong and I'll just continue
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: to be ignorant about this because it didn't feel like
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: a tiger king situation where every animal was in danger.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: I felt like they were taking advantage of us rather
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: than us taking advantage of them.
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: Yeah, you go in the little house and buy food
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: for them.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: Yes, I was feeding them apples or I could have
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: bought peanuts or whatever, and they come and just take
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: it from you. And it's wonderful and you see them
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: running around. I saw a mother holding a little baby,
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: and it's unbelievable experience.
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: Did you see well, let's see, I think we went
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: around the same time. So you missed the cherry blossoms.
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: Missed the cherry blossoms. I'm sure that was incredible.
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: Did you go to a don Quixote?
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: Is that the grocery store?
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: It's like like a Target kind of a place.
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: But I kept reading about it. Never saw you.
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: Gotta go back for that.
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: I honestly would love that.
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: Yeah, it's pretty amazing.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: What did you buy anything at the Target of Japan?
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: I didn't. But there was like a little boy whose
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: buttthole was like sticking out.
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: Like a little Oh, I see this is at Target
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: all the time.
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: Just the air vapor coming out. It was like a
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: room humid a fire, but it's just like a little
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: it's blasting out of a little boys but hole.
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: This was like some sort of entrapment. This was like
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: to catch a predatory. Do you buy that thing?
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: Japanese authorities just yeah, they come right out and they're like, no,
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: my skin is just dry, and yeah.
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: We got her fellows. Yeah. Wow, I'm sorry to have
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: missed that store though I feel like a big like
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: buy all sorts of crazy things. I didn't really get
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: to experience that. Yeah, we went to a place called Hands,
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: which was kind of a big department store, but didn't
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: feel like that kind of thing. Don quixote. Why did
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: they call it that?
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: No idea?
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: Do they sell any windmills?
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: That's the big question that I saw mister Pinko pachinko
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: on the ground floor.
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: Did you play Pachinko?
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: I didn't.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: Did you know what is pachinko? I think about the
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: wheel or the prices, right game pallinko?
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: Okay?
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: Is that maybe plinko plinko, Clinko plinko different things.
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: I think that's different.
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: Pachinko has nothing to do with a ball rolling down
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: a thing, I don't think. So. I want to just
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: get my eyes on it.
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: Get your eyes on.
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: It, because I saw plenty of these casinos. Oh yeah, there's,
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: of course the wonderful book called Pachinko, which.
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: Is an incredible book now a TV show.
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: Now a TV show.
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: But the game itself, maybe it is a ball that
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: goes down.
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: It is it's almost like a pinball machine or something
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: that's gambling. Yeah, so I wasn't that far off. It's
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: kind of a beautiful game. Look at that.
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: Oh that's lovely. Oh I actually used to have one
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: of those that I got at the Rose Bowl. Oh
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: you're kidding, a vintage.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: You could have opened a casino. I should have this opportunity. Damn.
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: I love a casino too.
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: Do you really know? I hate because guys going to
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: leave the podcast.
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: They're the worst.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: I despise a casino.
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: When's your birthday?
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: October ninth?
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: When's yours on Sunday?
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: On Sunday?
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: Happy birth eleventh? Also Mother's Day? Oh your listeners must it?
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: Sorry you guys?
- 1:04:24Speaker 5: Wow?
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: Rude, rude of them, really inconsiderate.
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: Not too late to send something, though, I'll always take
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: a gift. The ones that you don't want, I'll take them.
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: Are you doing anything for your birthday?
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: I'm going to go out to Malibu for a couple
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: of days.
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: Very nice. Yeah that sounds relaxing.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: I mean.
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: You can't drive up the one.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: Oh yeah, actually that now that I'm thinking about recent events.
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: Yeah, so I don't know, but it feels maybe like
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: good to put money back into the and I love
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: shout out broad Street oyster. Oh interesting, that's a good
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: restaurant recommended.
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: Are they serving claims?
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: They probably? Yeah, they definitely have fried clams for sure.
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: Well count me out. All right, I think we should
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: play a game.
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: Great, is it pachinko?
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: We're playing pachinko? Bring it out?
- 1:05:12Speaker 5: Yes?
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: No, We're gonna play a game called Gift or a Curse.
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: But first I need a number between one and ten
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: from you. Eight. Okay. I have to do some light
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: calculating to get our game pieces. So right now you
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: can recommend, promote, do whatever you want.
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: Oh okay. I am currently shooting season two of my
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: Netflix series with Ted Danson created by Michael Schuer called
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: A Man on the Inside. Please tune into that if
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: you have not tuned into it. It's very different from
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: the other show that a lot of people know me
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: for called It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which is also
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: about to premiere season seventeen. I've been doing that show
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: for twenty years. And what else am I doing right now?
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: Just trying to stop and smell the flowers. Here's a
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: shout out for stopping and smelling the flowers.
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: You know, beautiful. Everybody go watch those shows. Both great
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: shows and don't forget to smell the flowers, and smell
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: the flowers for God's sake.
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: Come on, what are you doing?
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: What else are you doing?
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: You too good for flowers?
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: I'm not. I'm smelling them constantly. Do I have anything
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: to recommend outside of anything? I probably do, but I
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: can't think of it right now.
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: It's hard. Quartet, go see.
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: That's a great idea.
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: Oh Alabama Shakes? Are you going to see Alabama Shanks?
- 1:06:39Speaker 5: No?
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: Where are they playing?
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: Shannon and the Clams are going to open for the.
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: Hollywood Bull's got it all, got it all? Nothing comes
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: to mind for me. No one can blame me. I'm tired.
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: But this is how we're going to play Gift a curse.
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: I'm going to name three things. You're going to tell
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: me if there are a gift or a curse and why?
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: Then I'll tell you if you're right or wrong, because
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: there are correct answers. You can fail. Hopefully you won't,
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: but you might well, so be careful.
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: If you fail me, you might be failing. So just saying, okay,
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: don't take criticism.
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: Well, all right. These are all suggestions from our Patreon
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: listeners today because the list has gotten out of control
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: over on Patreon, and I've got to make my way
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: through it. So let's just get into it. This first
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: one is from a listener named Lindsey. Gift or a curse.
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: When you're overnight out of town, guest sees your bathtub
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: and says, hmm, maybe i'll have a bath while I'm here.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: Hmm.
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: Oh well, there's so many caveats, like, who's the person?
- 1:07:43Speaker 3: You know what I mean, right, seize my bathtub. No,
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: it's in my bathroom. You shouldn't have even come up
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: here to look. You're not welcome, So curse.
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: Wrong. That's a gift. That's like, I love this person.
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: They're storming around the house making declarations about what they're
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: going to do with your home, and they're making themselves
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: just comfortable. Comfortable.
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: You love it.
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: They're saying, Bridger, I love your bath I'm gonna take it.
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: They're taking control of my They're essentially hijacking.
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: My life, and you like to have your life hijacked.
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: I like a visitor who says what they're gonna do. Oh,
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: I love if I find a visitor in my bathtub,
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: good for them. You know, I invited them into my
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: home and they're doing it up. Okay, there's no wishy washy,
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: there's no maybe I'll take a bath. Well, actually they
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: still say maybe I'll have a bath. But you know,
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: they're living their dream, okay, and I'm happy for them.
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: You're a better person than I am. Maybe they say
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: maybe I'll have a bath, and I say, I don't
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: think so, motherfucker.
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: Maybe I'll wear your clothes while I am.
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: Why don't you just sleep with my husband? Geez, get
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: out of my bathroom.
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: Good for them, Good for them. I'm on the all right.
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: We have different takes, h I have the correct one.
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: You have the I got in correct one.
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: You got on that one. Okay. Second one is from
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: a listener named Chris Gift or a curse Outdoor cats.
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: Outdoor cats, I mean, uh, there's some drama happening with
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: this on my Instagram page because we found our cat. Okay,
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: he was a one year old stray, found him in
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: our backyard, took him in, and he's an indoor outdoor
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: cat Gift because he poops outside.
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: Oh dream come true.
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: Barely ever have to see this cat's poop, but pulls
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: in lizards. Day before Easter, pulled in a bunny. Bunny's okay,
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: Bunny's okay. People will argue that the bunny's not okay
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: because my cat's mouth touched it, to which I say,
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: I'm sorry. Should I shoot my cat now? Is that
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: what you would like me to do? That's where I go.
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: Why was the bunny outdoors? Right, that's the bigger question.
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: It was a It was a wild rabbit.
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: I didn't know La had wild rabbit.
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: I it does. I had a full on conversation with
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: a coyote this morning, just walking down the street.
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: It was pushing its kid in a stroller.
- 1:10:16Speaker 3: It was looking for that bunny. Probably, Oh my god.
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel like I've been robbed of an LA
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: experience not seeing a rabbit.
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: I also was like, I have never seen I don't
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: think I've seen a wild rabbit.
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: What did it look like? Did it look like a
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: desert hair? Yeah? Wow, I know.
- 1:10:31Speaker 3: I'll show you a photo.
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: I've got to see this. That's fascinating.
- 1:10:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: I need to get my eyes on an outdoor rabbit
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: now in La.
- 1:10:38Speaker 3: Hang out in my bathtub. Maybe my cat will bring
- 1:10:40Speaker 3: one to you.
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: So I say, gift, correct, absolutely a gift. I mean
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: I think there are outdoor cats. There's a lot of
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: It's a complicated issue for a lot of people, but
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: ultimately what it comes down to is I love cats. Yeah,
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: I love cats taking care of local pests. You know,
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: this is this podcast is not really on the side
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: of rats or mice, and so the idea of cats
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: being around to protect me at all.
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: For it, some Godzilla rat comes crashing into your house.
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: I was at a restaurant recently where there are rats
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: running in the trees. That wasn't a good experience. So
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: that restaurant, if they had outdoor cats, they wouldn't be
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: a problem. I never have a problem when I see
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: a cat outside. Yeah, you know, I think, oh, that's wonderful.
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: I mean, hopefully it's being well fed and yeah, care
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: of baba.
- 1:11:35Speaker 3: Your cats do all that. But like, look, especially in
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: a place like LA, there's going to be outside cats.
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: Yes, and hopefully they're being taken care of. But I
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: don't have at least a spiritual problem with them. I
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: love to see them, agreed, there are protectors.
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: Like what is the name of the movie with the
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: cat and there's no words in it? And I think
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: at one and us.
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: Go, oh, what was that called?
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: It's like, yes, reflection, what feel free to step in?
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: Ripple water water cat? What is that? I saw half
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: of it was really beautiful.
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: I watched the whole thing.
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: Flow flow, flow, flow flow. It's so pretty. Yeah, and
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: it has no words in it whatsoever. Really, but that
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: cat's an outdoor cat.
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: Yeah. So if you have a problem with that cat,
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: you've got problem with Oscar winning films.
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: You have no taste? Yeah, all right, so you've gotten
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: one right so far. And this final one is from
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: a listener named Hannah Gift or a curse eating bacon
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: with a fork so your fingers don't get greasy.
- 1:12:45Speaker 3: All right. Well, we've established that I have not eaten
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: meat in a really long time for you, so I
- 1:12:51Speaker 3: would say eating bacon is a no because I like
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: cats and I like pigs. Live pigs, as I think,
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: get your fingers dirty. What are you scared of the
- 1:13:05Speaker 3: hepe outbreak that's happening in Los Angeles right now?
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: Is that true?
- 1:13:09Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: I know?
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: Are we all getting vaccinated? At the end of this podcast?
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: Is someone out hepatitis vaccines?
- 1:13:17Speaker 3: There's so many hepatitises you don't know.
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: There are at least three. I can at least three
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: A B and C, A B and C, and I
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: wouldn't be surprised if they've got a D on the way.
- 1:13:25Speaker 3: I'm sure it's coming. So I say, I say no
- 1:13:30Speaker 3: to the fork, just you know, jump in, go for it,
- 1:13:33Speaker 3: go for it.
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: Correct, that's a curse. I think that bacon, whether it's
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: any you know, regular turkey, veggie, I guess there's beef,
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: bacon whatever. I think part of the experience is a
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: lot of There are certain foods you have to eat
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: it with your hand or it doesn't taste right. Yeah,
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: it's like eating a muffin with a fork. I just
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: feel like you need to. Or a donut you like,
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: if you don't, if your hand doesn't bring it to
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: your mouth for whatever reason.
- 1:14:03Speaker 3: Yeah, what's the point bene powdered sugar to blast off?
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: Yes, and you don't you if you cut it with
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: your knife and fork. The texture goes wrong with a donut,
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: like flattens out of it, right, So get a life,
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: you know, just pick it up.
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: Get over yourself.
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: Your fingers are why do you care if they're greasy
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: during breakfast?
- 1:14:23Speaker 3: What else are they for?
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: What's your napkin for? What are your pants for?
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: What's your mouth for?
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: What is everything around you for? Just wipe it?
- 1:14:31Speaker 3: Else, wipe it? Are your friend?
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: What are you? What's your hair for?
- 1:14:37Speaker 3: What's your hair? Run your hands, your fingers looks great?
- 1:14:41Speaker 3: Oh thank you. It's making grease.
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: Got two out of three. Not bad, Okay, I'll take
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: it very nice and on at least. Do you have
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: your gift or a curse? Yeah?
- 1:14:52Speaker 4: But I got to roll back a few minutes to
- 1:14:54Speaker 4: something that's been bothering.
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: Oh my god, I love it long simmer and cat.
- 1:14:59Speaker 4: No, it's no.
- 1:15:00Speaker 5: A little farther back than that, I'm sorry to say
- 1:15:02Speaker 5: a few weeks ago where you're you know, you were
- 1:15:05Speaker 5: spanking and eating an uncooked block of Velveta cheese on
- 1:15:10Speaker 5: this podcast, and yet eating a caramel on MIC is
- 1:15:13Speaker 5: now too much?
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: Really, That's where this is what I'll say. Caramel cheese,
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: I knew I was going to only have a small
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: bit and swallow it, swallow it as quickly as possible,
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: because I thought this isn't going to taste good, Whereas
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: with this caramel, I knew it would taste good. And
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: caramel is a chewy thing that can the mouth noise
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: can get disgusting and I'm always trying to just think
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: on every level as far as mouth noise goes for
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: this podcast and so on. Alice, you're wrong, and the
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: fact that you brought this up this late is humiliating
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: for you.
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: He also hadn't punished this food in any way before
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: putting in this mouth spanking, which is a critical step.
- 1:15:58Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, fair enough, fair enough, I'll accept that fired.
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: Okay, Well, now that you've fallen on your face, would
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: you like to bring up your gifter because jan Lis
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: is going to do one, and we're both going to
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: speak to it, and then they're going to tell us
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: who's correct.
- 1:16:11Speaker 4: Great, all right, gift or a curse? Refrigerated water.
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: If you want to go.
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: I have a strong Oh okay, I'm very curious. Curse?
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: Why?
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: Oh?
- 1:16:22Speaker 3: Who wants a mouthful of cold, cold coldness, Not in
- 1:16:27Speaker 3: a clam, not in a water, not in ice, don't
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: you ice? It doesn't absorb. It needs to be room
- 1:16:34Speaker 3: temperature to absorb properly and more quickly into your body.
- 1:16:40Speaker 3: That's how I feel.
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: I think it's a gift, an absolute gift, for a
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: lot of reasons. First of all, I feel like this
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: started very young for me in piano lessons when I
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: knew when I my teacher, Missus Siegler, had a thing
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: of refrigerated water in her fridge, and I knew that
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: if I didn't want to play the piano, I could
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: simply ask for a drink of water and it would
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: take a long time to get and it would take
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: up at least five minutes of my piano lesson. So
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: that's where my love of this began, and it's just
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: been a lifelong love affair for me with refrigerated water.
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: I think it tastes great. It's so refreshing, and I
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: don't need to use the ice cubes. I have no
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: problem with it whatsoever. I don't care if it absorbs
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: or not. They can just run out of my mouth
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: for all I care. Wow, it's hitting the cold.
- 1:17:25Speaker 3: Cold like a cold water fall straight from from the lips.
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: And I'll tell you what else I love is brushing
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: my teeth and then having a glass of cold water.
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: It feels so cold, so cold.
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: I don't care for the cold.
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: You're not a cold your mind temperature.
- 1:17:39Speaker 3: My son loves the like held shoe ice.
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: Oh yeah, which is a sign sometimes of like an
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: iron deficiency. I think interesting look into it.
- 1:17:47Speaker 3: I mean he loves like a popsicle, though he frosion
- 1:17:50Speaker 3: bananas that are covered in chocolate into it.
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: Yeah that I can't.
- 1:17:55Speaker 3: You can't.
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: I can chew an ice, a small ice, pebble ice.
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: That's the only one I can really, So I guess
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: I'm a fraud, but I love a refrigerated water. It's
- 1:18:07Speaker 2: a gift.
- 1:18:08Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:18:10Speaker 4: So I was worried about our relationship for a second there, Bridge.
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: I mean, I'm always a little worried about as am I.
- 1:18:15Speaker 4: But I think we turned it around because I agree
- 1:18:17Speaker 4: with you. It's a gift.
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 1:18:19Speaker 4: It's a gift.
- 1:18:20Speaker 5: There's nothing more crisp and refreshing. And also, as I
- 1:18:24Speaker 5: have to say, as a single person, I can't go
- 1:18:27Speaker 5: through that Brita on my counter that fast if it's
- 1:18:29Speaker 5: room tamp oh, I don't drink that much water. So
- 1:18:32Speaker 5: then I'm going to be drinking like, you know, bacteria
- 1:18:35Speaker 5: filled water. If it just sits there on the counter
- 1:18:37Speaker 5: for too long. It needs to be fresh out of
- 1:18:40Speaker 5: the fridge. It lasts longer.
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: Yeah, go on a walk, come.
- 1:18:42Speaker 4: Home, nice big glass of cold water. Ah, nothing better
- 1:18:46Speaker 4: we go.
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: Yeah, room temperature water might as well be pond water.
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: I love a pond water. Delicious pond water.
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: Well, you got a lot of things wrong.
- 1:18:56Speaker 3: I sure did. This is why you guys do this podcast.
- 1:19:00Speaker 3: And I'm just a guest and if you need me,
- 1:19:01Speaker 3: I'll be in your bathtub.
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: Okay, we need to answer a couple one or two
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: listener questions from the Patreon which you helped me answer. Yes, okay.
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: This first one is more of a listener named Sarah
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: sent me a screenshot of breaking news and I guess
- 1:19:17Speaker 2: we just need to speak to this and it says
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: it's from the Wall Street Journal. It says Cole's fired
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: at CEO for funneling business to a romantic partner. What
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: do we think of this?
- 1:19:25Speaker 3: Oh wow, there is a lot to unpack there. It
- 1:19:29Speaker 3: feels like, really, we're gonna take someone to tell we're
- 1:19:33Speaker 3: going to take the Cole CEO to task. Look at
- 1:19:35Speaker 3: our president. Look what our president's doing.
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: Yeah, he's doing all sorts of shit and he gets
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: to do it.
- 1:19:40Speaker 3: How come Cole's is getting in trouble.
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: This guy was running Coles. Let him do whatever he wants.
- 1:19:45Speaker 3: Just let him give is his romantic partner whatever he wants.
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: He was he was trying to make Coles a little sexier. Yeah,
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: and it's already a very sexy department.
- 1:19:57Speaker 3: Store, so sexy, not as sexy as a don Quixote.
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: But you know, for America, when people think romance, they
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: think Coles. And how is this guy able to resist
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: bringing his romantic partner in and giving them some money
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: and taking them on all sorts of trips?
- 1:20:16Speaker 3: Is that what they were funneling? I don't know.
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: I mean, they could be anything, could be anything, chocolates, caramels, Cruis.
- 1:20:22Speaker 3: Shoes, shoes isles.
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: For yeah, probably discount. He was giving them discount shoes
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: and purses.
- 1:20:31Speaker 3: Oh that's kind.
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: I think there's all he should not. Well, actually, first
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: of all, we're assuming he which from I mean, I'm
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: assuming which was sexist.
- 1:20:40Speaker 3: Yes, it's the person in charge. Obviously it's a man.
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, yeah, of course. So if this was a guy,
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: he was the boss.
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: Bosses are men, yes, agreed, blessing.
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: But whoever it was, I'm happy for them and they
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: found love and found a way to embezzle money and
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: a new way.
- 1:21:00Speaker 3: Yeah, just discount purses full of cash.
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: I'm from the till Yeah, just the CEO at the
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: cash register. I'm happy for him. He should more her.
- 1:21:14Speaker 3: Or whoever are all, whoever's involved.
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: Whoever's involved should not be in trouble. Yeah, this is
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: what I'm having to say. Whoever fired them should be fired. Yes,
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: and the romantic partner and the CEO should be reinstated
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: as soon as possible.
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: Yes, and sent on a romantic vacation to Japan.
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: So we've spoken to that. Fantastic. And here's one short question.
- 1:21:37Speaker 2: It says, if you were dating a man with an
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: ex wife and the co parent a six year old son,
- 1:21:42Speaker 2: would you be okay with the ex wife calling him
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: to help with stuff like handyman things around the house
- 1:21:48Speaker 2: and to help her when she is locked out of
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: the house. Much leven love. And that's from Megan. What
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: do we think about this?
- 1:21:55Speaker 3: Oh, Meghan? Meghan? Meghan?
- 1:22:00Speaker 2: Yeah? Do we think that Megan is the person question here?
- 1:22:04Speaker 3: Megan, this is what you know. We've been talking a
- 1:22:07Speaker 3: lot about cold wet clams. Megan. You're coming in with
- 1:22:10Speaker 3: some some actual UH therapy work here.
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: And I think one thing that would be nice to
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: know is the man the CEO of Coles.
- 1:22:19Speaker 3: Yeah. I think that that that's always the most important.
- 1:22:22Speaker 3: First question, if he's the CEO of Coles. We've kind
- 1:22:26Speaker 3: of he's exonerated.
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: He could do whatever he wish, and it's oaken his
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: ex wife because uh, you know, they have romance, they
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: have coals, they have so many things tying.
- 1:22:37Speaker 3: To do, things that we like. Right, Let's see. I
- 1:22:42Speaker 3: mean I think, yes, if the conversation has been had
- 1:22:46Speaker 3: about it and you feel okay about it, and if
- 1:22:49Speaker 3: you don't feel okay about it, bring up how you feel.
- 1:22:51Speaker 3: We've established that you have to you have to cultivate
- 1:22:55Speaker 3: your own experience here, right, you like the song? Do
- 1:22:58Speaker 3: you not like this song?
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: Right? And you know there's a chance that their boundaries
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: being stepped over here or not. We've got to clarify
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: that they have a son together. Yeah, if she's calling
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: him to sleep with her, it's a different Maybe that's
- 1:23:12Speaker 2: a and maybe even that's okay, Okay, we don't know.
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: You don't know. You Megan has to decide.
- 1:23:19Speaker 3: Megan knows what's and we don't.
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: Even know if it's me Megan's that's maybe it's the
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: next or neighbor. Maybe it's Megan's fringe.
- 1:23:25Speaker 3: Maybe it's the ex husband who wrote in as Megan
- 1:23:29Speaker 3: to try to shove Meghan's nose in it.
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: He says, See, Meghan's husband signed up for the Patreon
- 1:23:36Speaker 2: in order.
- 1:23:36Speaker 3: To to get your opinion on whether it's okay for
- 1:23:41Speaker 3: him to be a handyman for his X way.
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: Which would I would say is the most appropriate route
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: to take care of this problem?
- 1:23:47Speaker 3: Agreed, do not sleep?
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: Yes, concise you will get the best possible answer and
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: everything will be resolved via Patreon, via podcast, via fake name,
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: acting as the you are someone's wife, yes, or your
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: own wife. I think that that's healthy, fair and honest.
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: And maybe he should be this he maybe he is
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: the CEO.
- 1:24:08Speaker 3: Cool to see you.
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: That's how you become seen. You know, it's a man.
- 1:24:11Speaker 3: That's all we know.
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: Ultimately, the only thing that ever matters is that it's
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: a man.
- 1:24:17Speaker 3: Be a man. Be a man, Megan, Be a man, Megan,
- 1:24:21Speaker 3: and then you can do whatever you want.
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: Well, we answered both of those questions more than perfect,
- 1:24:26Speaker 2: really well, we answered We solved problems. I would say, yes,
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: and this is all with me being sleep deprived and me.
- 1:24:34Speaker 3: Being a failure and a total total failure on every level.
- 1:24:39Speaker 2: Yeah, which is you've overcome a lot of things today.
- 1:24:42Speaker 3: Or just realized how much I haven't over how much
- 1:24:45Speaker 3: more I have to overcome.
- 1:24:46Speaker 2: But we're rooting for you.
- 1:24:48Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: That's all that matters. In the end.
- 1:24:50Speaker 3: I'll become a man soon enough. Please, one can only dream.
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: Please, if you ever want that CEO position, which I do?
- 1:24:58Speaker 2: You do you want to be running.
- 1:25:00Speaker 3: Coles to tell from all the choices I've made in
- 1:25:02Speaker 3: my life.
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: Dream job running coals, That's kind of my dream job,
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: to be honest, Well, I have all I have most
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: of my gifts. I've eaten one. I have a gift
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: card that I may never use. I'll have to be
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: in the neighborhood. I'll have to be in the right
- 1:25:15Speaker 2: state of mind to say I deserve to use a
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: gift card today, that I have this little card to
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: tell me I have the courage.
- 1:25:23Speaker 3: To use that gift card.
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: And then we have the unicorn and the dinosaur, which
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: have already become part of the show's set, which is amazing.
- 1:25:29Speaker 3: I appreciate that.
- 1:25:30Speaker 2: I don't think we've ever had a listener go this
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: quickly from gift set.
- 1:25:34Speaker 5: Wow.
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: So that's impressive.
- 1:25:36Speaker 3: I feel honored.
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: You should be honored. I've had such a wonderful time
- 1:25:39Speaker 2: with you.

- 1:25:43Speaker 2: Of course, listener, the podcast is over. I've got to
- 1:25:48Speaker 2: either go to sleep or be awake for a day.
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: I don't know what my body's gonna do. Maybe I'll die,
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: I don't know. No one ever knows what's going to
