- 1:16We are back.
- 1:17So we came in tonight planning on trying to tackle SDCC News and Spider man in under an hour.
- 1:25We were very foolish to think we could do that.
- 1:27So we impromptly split it up into two episodes.
- 1:30So if you're tuning in and you want to listen to the first part, go back and thereby you can find all of our thoughts on San Diego Comic Con, on Wonder man, on what else are we talking?
- 1:42Like a little bit of the X Men casting news and what we're geeking out on.
- 1:46But now we're getting into Spider Man.
- 1:47Brand new day.
- 1:48And I am Kevin Schaefer.
- 1:50I am here with Evan Garcia, Joshua Noel, and Justin Coleman.
- 1:54Joshua actually has to go very soon, so I'm actually going to hand it over to him because I really do want to hear his thoughts on the movie before he has to go.
- 2:03And then we'll get into more discussion after that.
- 2:06So, Joshua, tell us all your thoughts on on the latest Spidey extravaganza.
- 2:11Lot to unpack.
- 2:12Really sad I won't be here to hear the rest.
- 2:14Glad I got to see you guys though.
- 2:15Like, especially, you know, especially all of you.
- 2:18But like, I haven't seen Justin in a minute, so I'm like, man, that did my heart good.
- 2:21And then getting it.
- 2:22You and Evan just have this, like, cool dynamic with the what's News episode and you need to like, be a little part of it.
- 2:27Oh, my God, this is cool.
- 2:28I'm like on a.
- 2:29On one of the Kevin Evan episodes.
- 2:32Hello.
- 2:33Yeah, man.
- 2:36First off, let me just say, fantastic film.
- 2:38I mean, it's not going to be like my favorite film or anything.
- 2:40Like, I do have critiques, but like, start to finish, never bored, not once.
- 2:46Are you sure as far as the pacing goes, are you sure about that?
- 2:49Oh, I'm very sure.
- 2:51I am ADHD to the max.
- 2:54And I was like, two and a half hours.
- 2:55Should I wait till this comes out on?
- 2:57Like, I really am.
- 2:57Like, should I wait?
- 2:58Because, like, can I pay attention that long?
- 3:01Yes, I can.
- 3:02I, like, I don't know if I blinked, I was like, this.
- 3:04This is it.
- 3:05And like, it helped.
- 3:06I watched a little short on Disney plus ahead of time that talked about some of like, the directors and the filmography and how they wanted to capture the action better than ever before and the action scenes, the like,
- 3:16the effects, everything.
- 3:17I'm like, oh, incredible.
- 3:19Just an incredible film.
- 3:21It felt to me, though, less like a Spider man film and a lot more like a buddy film.
- 3:25I've compared it to Rush Hour a few times.
- 3:28It's like the superhero rush hour movie with.
- 3:31With Peter Parker and Frick Castle.
- 3:32And I'm like, I could watch their dynamic all day, every day making a TV show.
- 3:38I will be there.
- 3:39Like I am for this.
- 3:41They're so funny.
- 3:44And dude, like, tearing up throughout the film.
- 3:47I did not think I'd get as emotional as the last film.
- 3:49And here I was also, since this is.
- 3:53We.
- 3:53We've said spoilers, right?
- 3:55This is spoiler.
- 3:56Yeah, we did a full spoiler review on Sunday as well there.
- 3:58Yeah, sorry.
- 3:59If you haven't seen the movie, come back later.
- 4:01So this is why I want to hear Andy at some point.
- 4:03Because I'm like, I'm notorious for bad opinions.
- 4:05And one of my bad opinions.
- 4:06It's pretty well known, I think, is that I just.
- 4:08I can't get into the X Men ever.
- 4:10Like, I didn't even like my favorite characters.
- 4:13Like Ms.
- 4:13Marvel, Kamala Khan.
- 4:15I'm like, that's my character.
- 4:16And as soon as she joined the X Men, I'm like, all right, I'm going to start reading X Men comics.
- 4:19And I'm like, oh, man, I can't stay awake through this.
- 4:22I just.
- 4:24I want to like the X Men everything about it.
- 4:26I'm like, it's cool.
- 4:27It is so cool.
- 4:28But it just doesn't click for some reason.
- 4:30And then I'm like, oh, man, Sadie Sink's gonna be Jean.
- 4:33Ah, this is gonna make me not like them.
- 4:35It didn't.
- 4:36I love that character.
- 4:37I want more.
- 4:38And I'm like, I didn't think they could make me care about an X Men character, but here I am caring about an X Men character.
- 4:43Yay.
- 4:44Oh, man.
- 4:45Then they're cap.
- 4:47Like, they capitalize on all the stuff from the last film.
- 4:49The lessons he learned about, hey, we don't kick ass, we cure ass.
- 4:53You know, we're gonna go help the people.
- 4:57And I'm like, wow.
- 4:58It's just.
- 4:59It's so moving.
- 5:00Not two different themes.
- 5:01That's kind of hard to tackle.
- 5:02I love that they built on that.
- 5:04He didn't have to relearn the same lesson.
- 5:06It wasn't AN Iron Man 2 of, hey, Iron Man's gonna learn the same thing he did the last movie, right?
- 5:10He still has that.
- 5:11Even at his lowest point, his darkest point here, he still hold on to the lessons he learned in that last film from Aunt May, from the other Peters, where he's like, no.
- 5:19And I know they don't use the Bible language, but I love my enemies and I was like, oh, listen, Captain America is my favorite hero.
- 5:26And I, like, he inspires me.
- 5:28But there is nothing more heroic than the spider man we've seen in this movie.
- 5:31In the last movie, who says it is not about kicking ass.
- 5:34It is about helping people.
- 5:36And I'm like, oh, God, this is hard not to be moved by.
- 5:41Christian shouldn't watch it.
- 5:42You know, it's not a let nothing move you kind of film.
- 5:46No, I'm joking.
- 5:47I know Kristen loved the movie, too, and that, you know, we play.
- 5:50But, man, all the way through, even, like, the relationship with mj, what happened where, like, he thought he was kissing her and she remembered him, and then, like, that being turned around, I was like, oh, that hurt me
- 6:00even a little bit, right?
- 6:01And going through the whole thing, the emotional arc, the action, every part.
- 6:05And I was worried it was gonna be crowded because you have Frank Castle.
- 6:08You have, you know, Jean Grey, you got Hulk.
- 6:10It wasn't crowded.
- 6:11It wasn't boring to me.
- 6:13And I'm like, this.
- 6:14How did they pull this off?
- 6:15Was astounding.
- 6:17And to me, that moment at the end where he saves Jean Grey, the person who was the enemy, the whole film, by jumping in front of the bullet, I'm, like, simultaneously flipping through Jesus's words of love your enemy
- 6:29and better love.
- 6:30Is this better love hath no man than willing to lay down his life for his friends, right?
- 6:34And I'm like, bingo.
- 6:35Hold up.
- 6:35He's not even laying down his life for his friends, though.
- 6:37He's laying his life down for his enemies.
- 6:39And what did Jesus say?
- 6:40It is easy to love your friend.
- 6:42It's easy to love your neighbor, love your enemy.
- 6:45And he's showing the greatest love for his enemy.
- 6:48Yep.
- 6:48Y.
- 6:48And I'm like, I listen, if this doesn't make it to the pulpit in every church the next couple Sundays, I don't know if we're doing things right.
- 6:56Come on.
- 6:57Come over the world.
- 6:58I was like, you named it, man.
- 7:00Spot on.
- 7:00Exactly.
- 7:01The fact that Frank Castle picked up on that, too, that was huge.
- 7:05I thought.
- 7:05I was like, right on, dude.
- 7:07Right on, man.
- 7:08I was like, I just.
- 7:10The whole thing just shook me.
- 7:12Even, like, Frank Castle with his.
- 7:13Like, oh, you.
- 7:15You think that I chose this life?
- 7:16And I'm like, man, I didn't choose to be lonely.
- 7:20And that's tackling to me.
- 7:21So, like, not only do they tackle, like, these huge Christian themes that are, like, central to why I believe what I do and do everything that I do, not only are they tackling that you know, they don't mention
- 7:29Jesus, but that's what that is.
- 7:32Not only are they doing that, the other theme of the movie, they're tackling the most.
- 7:35To me, one of the most relevant things in the world right now is the loneliness pandemic.
- 7:40And Peter Parker's right there in the middle of it.
- 7:43And we're saying to me what's interesting.
- 7:44And one of the criticism I've seen, you know, the couple I've seen, I'm like, there wasn't a real enemy.
- 7:48And I'm like, you know, it would be cool.
- 7:50There was also a different antagonist, not just Jean Grey, but again, it's already two and a half hours, borderline crowded.
- 7:56We didn't need it.
- 7:57I don't think the other criticism that I do kind of see is like, wait, he's done this before.
- 8:01And I'm like, okay, I get it.
- 8:04He did the, oh, no, I need my friends thing early on.
- 8:06But to me, like, that's.
- 8:07It's really relatable.
- 8:09How many times have I learned a lesson and then went, oh, wait a minute, that lesson was wrong.
- 8:13And then I had to relearn the lesson.
- 8:14Like, a lot of the times for me, when I learn things, maybe it's because I'm slow.
- 8:18It's like a pendulum or whatever, right?
- 8:20Where, like, I'm like, okay, fundamentalism was wrong and now done with all the rules, I'm like, wait a minute.
- 8:25No.
- 8:26Some of those stances were there for a reason.
- 8:28Maybe I need to go back.
- 8:28And then I'm like, oh, man, maybe I went back too far.
- 8:31And I'm like, I constantly corrected myself back and forth.
- 8:34So to see Peter doing the same thing, I'm like, yeah, that's what it's like, man is like.
- 8:38And there's the childish version of when he learned the first time he needed his friends, it was more of a selfish.
- 8:43Like, this is about him and what he needs in him.
- 8:46And here it's no longer selfish.
- 8:48It's.
- 8:49He wanted to be selfless.
- 8:51He wanted to like, hey, I'm doing this for them.
- 8:53And then he sees what he was doing wasn't.
- 8:55It wasn't really for them.
- 8:56So, like, yeah, it's a similar lesson, but that's real life, man.
- 8:59Like, we do have to learn the same lesson over and over and add nuance to it as we go through our lives.
- 9:03And that's such a relevant topic for today.
- 9:06I was like, everything, the themes, the characters, the way they did the action, all of it was cool.
- 9:12Literally, my only disappointment, if we're gonna have him do the mutation gene thing.
- 9:16I want Man Spider, but that could be in another movie still, so I'm not.
- 9:20It's not a real criticism.
- 9:21It's a.
- 9:22Please give me that at some point, Marvel.
- 9:24I would like that.
- 9:24That's fair.
- 9:25Yeah.
- 9:26I really did think they were gonna do that.
- 9:28And I'm.
- 9:28But I'm also kind of glad they didn't, because somebody I was.
- 9:31I.
- 9:31I mean, I said this on Sunday.
- 9:33I was amazed at how much they had going on, but it didn't feel overstuffed.
- 9:36And I think if they had.
- 9:37If they had.
- 9:38I mean, as much as I wanted to see Daredevil show up, I'm also kind of glad he didn't like.
- 9:42Because I'm like, it wasn't needed.
- 9:44Like, the.
- 9:45The characters that did show up here were relevant to the story.
- 9:48And, yeah, they were able to tease the Man Spider thing and neogenic Nightmare from the Animated Series without going all the way there.
- 9:54But they could still do it at a later point.
- 9:56Yeah, they could have Man Spider on Battle World in Secret war.
- 9:59Just an idea.
- 10:01That's what that tracker was at the end.
- 10:02Listen, if y' all listening, if R.
- 10:04Brothers are tuning in right now.
- 10:05Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 10:06I thought, like, once I saw that tracker in space, I'm like, oh, God, Peter's on Battle World.
- 10:11Are we going to get Man Spider on Battle Y.
- 10:14Please, Please.
- 10:17Yeah.
- 10:17So I'm thrilled.
- 10:18I'm glad you guys let me do a little rant.
- 10:21I wish you could be more part of the.
- 10:23Is there anything directly you guys want to say about anything that I said?
- 10:25Because I do want to, like, engage a little bit.
- 10:28I don't want to just, you know, rant and leave.
- 10:32I'll throw out the.
- 10:34So you mentioned the critique of it being a movie with.
- 10:37With no enemies.
- 10:39I very much like that because that's.
- 10:43That's our real world.
- 10:44Right.
- 10:45So we.
- 10:46So we make.
- 10:47We make our enemies.
- 10:49We build stories that create enemies that supports the story about ourselves that we want to tell.
- 10:55That's indification, you know, the making of enemies so that we reinforce our own narratives.
- 11:03And so I just love to see that on.
- 11:06On the screen and this.
- 11:09And it's this moment of redemption that helps multiple people see.
- 11:16This is a.
- 11:17This is a fallacy.
- 11:18This is a.
- 11:19This is a fiction that has been created here.
- 11:23And.
- 11:23And redemption transforms our vision so that we can see through the fiction into reality.
- 11:30So.
- 11:30Yeah.
- 11:31Yeah.
- 11:31Have you.
- 11:32Have you ever watched the Vinland Saga anime or read the manga or anything?
- 11:38Okay.
- 11:38So, like, these Vikings, some of them, like, one or two convert to Christianity.
- 11:42It's like historic fiction.
- 11:44You know, some of the stuff happened, like, really based off characters.
- 11:47So this is the quote that I love the most from the series.
- 11:49And TJ and I are doing an episode about the character who says this coming up soon.
- 11:53And I'm going to reference the Spider Man.
- 11:54So we're going to go, like, double reference.
- 11:55You guys just got to keep tuning into this myology.
- 11:57But, like, I got to read the quote.
- 11:59You have no enemies.
- 12:00No one in the world is your enemy.
- 12:02There is no one you need to hurt.
- 12:04And that's like the theme of that whole show is, no matter what, who's killing who, who's fighting, who's attacking you, there are no enemies.
- 12:11Yeah.
- 12:12So I love what you said.
- 12:13I love the message.
- 12:14It's just.
- 12:14I love this.
- 12:15Yeah, I love all that.
- 12:16Anything else about the stuff that I said, then, I don't want to rant and run.
- 12:20I love it.
- 12:21Justin, do you have your sermon ready on Spider Man?
- 12:24Because I.
- 12:27Need to.
- 12:29I need to.
- 12:29I was going to talk about Eutychus falling out of the window while Paul was preaching, but, man, I might have something.
- 12:37You spoiled mine.
- 12:39You spoiled mine.
- 12:41Oh, my goodness.
- 12:42No.
- 12:42I mean, I like.
- 12:44I mean, I kind of shared in my review the other night kind of the way, like, Spider man movies, the movies specifically hit me at different points in my life.
- 12:52Like, I was a kid when the Raimi trilogy came out.
- 12:54I was going into college when the first Andrew Garfield one dropped.
- 12:59I was like, post college when Tom Holland started.
- 13:02And now I'm a grown man.
- 13:03And, like, it's still, like, the different eras of Spider man movies have hit me with different emotions and different.
- 13:10And have meant something different each time.
- 13:12But, like, there's this nuance and this universal resonance about the character that carries throughout.
- 13:17And I thought this movie really captured that.
- 13:19And I said it on Sunday, too, that I thought Gene was a perfect antagonist here, where, yes, you know, she's going to be redeemed by the end because if you know anything about the character, like, yeah, she's not
- 13:30going to stay this way.
- 13:31But I thought it was a perfect way to have Peter's mindset challenged and, you know, and to learn that there are others like him out there, because at this point, even when he had other Avengers around him, they
- 13:45weren't as much of outsiders like he was.
- 13:48And especially now where the whole world has forgotten them and the ones he loved the most are gone.
- 13:53And, like, even the ones he loved the most.
- 13:55They're still here.
- 13:56They have no idea who he is.
- 13:57So he is totally alone.
- 13:59And, you know, he's wrestling with that.
- 14:01And his solution is to, oh, just work all the time.
- 14:03But then when he finds someone who is in the same shoes but in a different layer, like, you know, he's able to use empathy to resolve that conflict.
- 14:14And.
- 14:15And it also challenges his mindset toward authority figures, because at this point, he's been much more on the side of authority and the side of, like, government without really questioning any of that.
- 14:28And this really transforms it because, you know, you look at Jean's motivations, she was completely justified in wanting to take out damage control.
- 14:36Like, after what they did to Sarah, what they did to her.
- 14:39So it's like, you can't really blame her or where she.
- 14:43Where she's at right now.
- 14:44And.
- 14:45And I love it.
- 14:46And it kind of.
- 14:47With Peter there, it kind of mirrors Tony, too.
- 14:50Like, where he starts seeing, like, oh, wow, my talents, my technologies, my powers are being used for evil purposes.
- 14:57It mirrors how Tony at the beginning of the MCU when he learns that his weapons technologies are being used by terrorists and, like.
- 15:08And so I love how that dichotomy is explored.
- 15:12But, yeah, it's just.
- 15:13It's so good.
- 15:13Like, I'm.
- 15:14I.
- 15:15It's a blast of a movie that also has really powerful themes to go off.
- 15:20More about the enemy, love.
- 15:23Like, what I loved about it was that, that, that, that, that.
- 15:29That Peter, he literally just learned the lesson, and he was still able to take a backseat and be like, hey, she needs his help.
- 15:41I need to.
- 15:44The way he stepped up by stepping back, that was beautiful, too.
- 15:47I was just like, here.
- 15:50Here's what my aunt had to say.
- 15:53I think you will learn from this.
- 15:57That was beautiful.
- 15:57Yeah.
- 15:58Oh, yeah.
- 15:59Oh, yeah.
- 15:59Man, I wish I could stick around for the rest of the conversation, guys.
- 16:03I'll throw out part of why I'm really excited to hear from you guys and Andy one day mention X Men are really hard for me.
- 16:11I.
- 16:11Literally, the only thing I knew about Jean Grey going into this is, like, I think it has something to do with mind stuff.
- 16:17She might be a good guy, but, like, I know about Dark Phoenix, so I'm not really sure if she's a good guy.
- 16:22Unsure.
- 16:23So to me, like, I basically was going in, like, you know, the noobs who were like, I don't know anything about this character.
- 16:29So I'm excited to hear from people who do know more about the character and then maybe hear from Andy, if he's like super mad about how they betrayed her or something like that would be kind of cool.
- 16:36I.
- 16:37I'm curious his thoughts, but yeah,.
- 16:39I'm really looking forward to his opinion as well.
- 16:41Yeah.
- 16:41Thanks, Joshua.
- 16:42Great seeing you.
- 16:43It was a blast, man.
- 16:45See you.
- 16:45Okay, now, Evan, I have been wanting to hear this since last week when you send in the group text, like, okay, I want to talk.
- 17:52Because I really didn't like it.
- 17:53I got to hear.
- 17:54Okay, well, there you said now before we start recording, like, it was one specific element that threw you off.
- 17:59So I got to hear.
- 18:01You're hot.
- 18:02Get over it.
- 18:03It is because it is boring, as you know what I'm going to say.
- 18:09I was bored out of my mind.
- 18:11I, I called.
- 18:13I knew what everything was going to happen and it happened, but I was just.
- 18:20And I loved it.
- 18:21Like, I hate that.
- 18:23I loved it.
- 18:24And I hated it too.
- 18:25I love it so much because the way it executed some of these, these themes that we are talking about.
- 18:34It's beautiful, it's beautifully done.
- 18:36But the movie itself, it's like watching paint dry.
- 18:39I'm like, what is happening?
- 18:41I was so.
- 18:43I wanted.
- 18:44And for.
- 18:46I tried, I tried, I tried three times.
- 18:48I saw this movie three times.
- 18:50And I'm just like, nope.
- 18:51This is like, I love hot dogs, but I hate seeing how they're made.
- 18:57And this is how they are made.
- 18:59And I don't like it, but I love, I love what this film says and the timeliness of it, but I just can't get over that because I have agency and like, it's just kind of, it's kind of like
- 19:19a smack in the face how just boring it is to me.
- 19:23I am generally offended.
- 19:24Like, how do.
- 19:26And I found out why there's a whole mechanic on.
- 19:30I'm not bored, but I'm, I'm kind of exhausted because there's, there's so many plot points that there's no release from them.
- 19:39And I'm like, okay, that kind of makes sense.
- 19:42And, and they just keep kind of building, building, building, building, and you are just tired by the end of it.
- 19:48And yes, I just want to pull out my phone and just be like, okay, okay.
- 19:53But.
- 19:54But yeah, but that's it.
- 19:56I, I, I live in this attention where I love it, but I generally hate it too.
- 20:02Like, I, it's just, it's the cardinal sin.
- 20:07It's like there, there are films that I know that I realize, hey, I will need to meet it on its level.
- 20:17I can only do that so Much.
- 20:19I can't.
- 20:20I can't.
- 20:21It's.
- 20:22It.
- 20:22Yeah, it's.
- 20:23Yeah, it's just boring.
- 20:25It's boring.
- 20:27Like, oh, it's a thing.
- 20:31I was not expecting that because when you said, you know, like, I thought it was going to be.
- 20:35You had a problem with like jeans.
- 20:39I mean, hey, I will say.
- 20:40Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 20:42I empathize with you only because that was my reaction to Fantastic Four last year.
- 20:47Like, I, like, I.
- 20:48It was.
- 20:48I was very much caught in a love 8 there because I loved the production design, I loved the casting, but I thought it was a terribly executed film from.
- 20:57Particularly from an editing standpoint and a directing.
- 21:00And I was bored in that one for that reason.
- 21:03So, like, I, it had everything in place to be good for me, so that's where I can relate to you.
- 21:07I, Like, I.
- 21:08Again, I did not feel that way at all with this one.
- 21:10I was having a blast from start to finish and.
- 21:12But it.
- 21:13That's really interesting though.
- 21:14I love.
- 21:15Yeah.
- 21:15I was just scared as soon as you said that text.
- 21:17I'm like, I gotta find the characters.
- 21:20Yeah, it's just.
- 21:21Yeah.
- 21:23Interesting.
- 21:23Okay.
- 21:24Okay.
- 21:24And would you say it was primarily.
- 21:28The.
- 21:30Predictability that usually.
- 21:33No, because I can do that for some films and be like, okay, 1, 2, 3.
- 21:40And then it plays out and I usually don't mind it.
- 21:45And here I didn't mind it.
- 21:47Like, that wasn't the problem because I did call it.
- 21:52I didn't see Sarah coming.
- 21:54The, the sister.
- 21:56I was like, okay.
- 21:57I was like, that's a cool twist.
- 21:59But I figured, oh, and the Oppenheimer, the.
- 22:06How he's creating the inhibitor that for sure is gonna become the callers and stuff.
- 22:14That was a fun twist.
- 22:15And I kind of freaked out in the theater telling my wife, oh my God, it's the colors.
- 22:21It's the colors.
- 22:22Yeah.
- 22:23But no, like, I can forgive it for that because, because, because, because it's.
- 22:31It's because it's good in that sense too.
- 22:35It's.
- 22:37It's just.
- 22:38I don't know, it's hard to explain.
- 22:41There's a Mr.
- 22:43You, Mr.
- 22:45Mr.
- 22:45Know it all on.
- 22:47On, on the.
- 22:49On the YouTube channel.
- 22:51Has like a 45 minute breakdown on it.
- 22:54And I'm like, what you said, dude, like, that's exactly what it is.
- 22:58That, that, that, that I'm feeling.
- 23:02But he was able to give it like a 10 out of 10 and whereas I can't.
- 23:08So.
- 23:09So yeah, no, I'm looking forward to now kind of talking what I do like about it.
- 23:17But, yeah, I'm looking forward to watching it again, Evan, with this critique in mind.
- 23:25You know, it wasn't my.
- 23:26The experience that I had.
- 23:28I wouldn't say I was at the edge of my seat during the whole movie, but I just.
- 23:32I was enjoying some of the currents that were in the movie and seeing how they played out.
- 23:38So I think that's what.
- 23:39That's what held me, but knowing.
- 23:41But now I'm going to go back and look at it with some different eyes and see how you don't want.
- 23:46To spoil it for you.
- 23:47I'm seeing it again tomorrow because I have a friend who hasn't seen it yet, so I'm.
- 23:50Yeah, like, I.
- 23:51I know I read it.
- 23:52Like, I'm like.
- 23:52He said.
- 23:53He's like, you want to get around?
- 23:54Like, yeah, I'm ready for round three.
- 23:55He's like, oh, my gosh.
- 23:57This was the first movie since the Phantom Menace that I saw twice in one day.
- 24:03Twice in one day.
- 24:05Wow.
- 24:05Yeah.
- 24:05Yeah.
- 24:06That's amazing.
- 24:08Yeah.
- 24:09Who was the third?
- 24:10Did you go the third time by yourself again?
- 24:13So I went with him.
- 24:15Okay, gotcha.
- 24:16Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 24:16Gotcha.
- 24:17Yeah, yeah.
- 24:17Nice.
- 24:18Yeah.
- 24:19Justin, do you usually go with the, like, with your whole family to these or, like.
- 24:23Yeah, yeah, I do.
- 24:24I mean, and I must say, there's been a Marvel erosion in my family in that.
- 24:28Yeah, for a while, it was like, me, my three sons, and myself, we would just all go.
- 24:36We were there enjoying ourselves.
- 24:40And now it's.
- 24:42My youngest is the one who's really hanging in there because the others have gotten a little disillusioned with Marvel.
- 24:52I'm interested to see if Doomsday brings my eldest back, because Dr.
- 24:56Doom is his first favorite MCU character, and he has been so disappointed in the past with these previous iterations.
- 25:07And so once when I say, hey, buddy, you gonna.
- 25:11You come in with me to see it?
- 25:12I'm interested to see what he.
- 25:14What he says.
- 25:14So we'll see.
- 25:15We'll see.
- 25:16But, yeah, my youngest and I went a great time.
- 25:20He.
- 25:20He loved it.
- 25:21He.
- 25:22He likes anytime there is a.
- 25:25A scene that is a.
- 25:27A scene from a comic book, you know, a direct adaptation.
- 25:32I mean, my.
- 25:32My kiddo, he, like, knows them all, so he's naming them in the movie.
- 25:36That one screenshot, you know, so.
- 25:39So that was.
- 25:40That was a lot of fun.
- 25:41Yeah, so he.
- 25:42I mean, I honestly, I thought, you know, he might need to jump on here with me because he's.
- 25:48He's.
- 25:49He's.
- 25:50He's.
- 25:51He is once he was a Padawan learner, but now he's become a Jedi, a geekology Jedi.
- 26:02One of the things that I liked about this movie was this theme of transformation and how we pay attention to our interior movements and how they can lead us.
- 26:17And I'll use the Ignatian language here, how they can lead us to either consolation or desolation, you know, in that.
- 26:23So the.
- 26:24The inhibitor and that move to inhibit ourself rather than embracing.
- 26:32Sometimes it's kind of this embracing of.
- 26:35Of nature, and it doesn't even mean that you have to capitulate to everything that you're not feeling internally, but.
- 26:46But to not.
- 26:47To not pretend that it's not there and to actually deal with it in a way that actually brings balance.
- 26:55I love seeing that over the course of the movie because I do think we see this in our lives.
- 27:01We see it in our spiritual lives.
- 27:03You know, the people who I've seen who just really trying to.
- 27:09Trying to put false inhibitors up rather than truly seeing, understanding, embracing in a way that you can actually shift the energy and direct the energy in ways and in healthy and positive ways.
- 27:27I enjoyed that journey for Peter across the movie because the false inhibitor has created.
- 27:39In various ways, kind of spiritually speaking, those false inhibitors have created some pretty awful falls, as I've seen it, where people just kind of break themselves on because of that kind of thing.
- 27:55So I thought that movement was really interesting.
- 27:58That's super powerful that you say that, because that's why I was very, very quiet.
- 28:05Because I was very quiet with my.
- 28:08With my.
- 28:10With my disappointment or my un.
- 28:13Or.
- 28:14Or what they found.
- 28:17Yeah.
- 28:18Because I didn't want to ruin that message for my son.
- 28:23I wanted him to pick that up.
- 28:26And I was trying to be clear, be like, hey, I have my opinions, but these lessons, I believe, are very important.
- 28:37And I would love for you to pick up on this and to think about this, but don't let me be grumpy guy and be like, oh, my dad doesn't like it.
- 28:46So.
- 28:47So, yeah, so, yeah, that is huge to that.
- 28:53To try to eradicate that part of yourself can have so many domino effect to your life that it can just.
- 29:06And you.
- 29:07And you won't.
- 29:08And you won't be able to see the negativity that.
- 29:13That it produces because a lot of times it's a tide with being pious and we get all kind of like, oh, yeah, I got my sin controlled.
- 29:25You know, it's like, oh, yeah.
- 29:26Like I do.
- 29:28I.
- 29:29I don't struggle with this.
- 29:30And that it's like, nope.
- 29:32And I've, I came to a point personally where I've.
- 29:38Through therapy and stuff, I was like, oh, I'm.
- 29:41I'm doing this to myself.
- 29:43And like, and, and how it so, and how it kind of so, so, so, so like so deeply affects your relationships.
- 29:55It's a whole switching where like, I've learned this, this comedian Pete Holmes, like, he, he, he said once, he goes, yeah, I don't let my sin drive, but, but I don't care that, that it sits in the front
- 30:17seat.
- 30:18I'm like, that's perfect.
- 30:20That's perfect.
- 30:21Because you are aware of it.
- 30:24You can name it, you can process it and see it for what it's worth, but it's there.
- 30:31It's not over there.
- 30:34It's like, so, yeah, yeah.
- 30:36In Peter's ability to name, to name it and be, be honest about it is, Is actually what helped him to truly live beyond it.
- 30:51It was the, it was again that, that inhibit, that false inhibitor that was actually creating the struggle.
- 31:00He thought it was giving him the peace, but it was actually creating or enhancing the struggle.
- 31:06And so in that ability to speak the truth to himself and, you know, and before others is actually what helped him to, to truly be transformed.
- 31:19So I thought that was good.
- 31:22Between that and it, it reminded me, the movie reminded me a little.
- 31:27This, this is a little obscure theological nerdy here, but David Bureau wrote a book called Friendship and Ways to Truth, and in which he asserts that truth is, or friendship is not merely about people agreeing, having common agreement
- 31:50around a truth.
- 31:51That's not fundamentally what friendship is.
- 31:53And that's sometimes, you know, in the life of the church, kind of what we say, like, hey, there's this truth.
- 31:58If we can gather around it, we can be friends.
- 32:00But what, what Burrell talks about in that book is that that friendship is one of the ways that we come to know the truth 100%.
- 32:11And so, and so I just, I saw the, the, this idea that that truth is relational here.
- 32:24And we, we see that, we see.
- 32:27So, and I'm thinking about, there are multiple friendship dynamics we could talk about in the movie, but the ways that the relationship between Peter Parker and Jean Gray as they came together, there's a learning of a truth together
- 32:45and seeing of a truth together.
- 32:47They both saw a truth in their ability to actually engage one another and to relate to one another as these two people who were so alone in the world.
- 32:59And so it's, it brought them to a greater truth, which created a broader territory which I just thought was a beautiful part of the movie.
- 33:09So the way the movie talks about friendship or kinship and the way that it talks about truth in the way that this idea of memory danced through the movie and what it means to remember in that kind of
- 33:26communion way.
- 33:27Um, what.
- 33:28What does it mean when we.
- 33:30When the body starts coming back together again, which is that.
- 33:34That slow reconnection between Peter and his friends.
- 33:39Right.
- 33:40You know, and how.
- 33:41And the restorative aspects of that.
- 33:44Man, I just, I loved all of.
- 33:47All of those.
- 33:48And also, like, the way we respond to trauma, like, in this way.
- 33:53And Peter's response is to go full workaholic and become fully Spider Man.
- 33:57And I'm like, I.
- 33:58Again, going back to the personal element of how the different eras of Spider man movies have really, like, connected me.
- 34:04Like, I related so much to the Raimi once I was younger because I was terrible at like, staying focused on trying to juggle multiple things and be all over the place.
- 34:11And then here it's like, no, he's got his stuff together as Spider Man.
- 34:14He just ignores his life as Peter completely.
- 34:16And I'm like, yeah, I've done that too.
- 34:18Where I go into full workaholic mode when I'm trying to, like, deal with personal trauma and stuff like that.
- 34:24I'm like, yeah, I get that.
- 34:25And then it just hits on so many of those themes and again, bridging, like, having that connective tissue between him and Jean's journeys.
- 34:35I thought it was.
- 34:37It made so much sense to have her as the antagonist because, yeah, you could have pulled like, I love seeing tombstone here.
- 34:44Mr.
- 34:44Negative would have been cool, but this was just the perfect way to not only have a great antagonist as a follow up to no Way Home, because no Way Home already did Sinister 6.
- 34:55And yeah, it's like you could have done another version of one of those iconic villains or a new one, but it just wouldn't have been as formidable a threat when Spider man is at the top of his game
- 35:05here and this.
- 35:06And like, and I saw some criticism saying that, like, yeah, like, Gene and some of the other characters were like the only missteps here because some thought that it was too overstuffed and too concerned with setting up the
- 35:20Mutant saga.
- 35:21I disagree.
- 35:22I thought, like, what I loved about this movie so much is it combines some of the best elements of the Raimi trilogy and classic Spider man with all the MCU stuff where it's a lived in world.
- 35:32I love seeing all these characters pop up and not just show up for, you know, just for the sake of it.
- 35:38Like, I think, again, if.
- 35:39Even though Daredevil is my absolute favorite, if he had shown up here, I think that would have been forced and that would, like.
- 35:44I thought that each character that had, like, had an actual part to play in the story with hall, particularly with Punisher and then with Jean.
- 35:52And I thought it did a great job of not just setting up the next phase of the mcu, but making it very relevant to the story in this movie.
- 36:01I like what you said about trauma there, because it's like Spider man almost.
- 36:06Became Batman, like, with the whole Commissioner Gordon, too, thing.
- 36:11He's.
- 37:26Yeah.
- 37:26They had Dead Wolf as the Gordon.
- 37:27Yeah.
- 37:28Wow.
- 37:29I hadn't even thought about that.
- 37:30But, yeah, and to.
- 37:32To.
- 37:34To continue that thread on trauma, I don't know if they did this on purpose.
- 37:40Probably not.
- 37:41But to have two of the main characters from that show, the Bear, and to have those kind of themes in this film, I think.
- 37:52I think they knew what they were doing.
- 37:53I think they knew what they were doing.
- 37:55So.
- 37:56Yeah, well.
- 37:58And also just by how.
- 37:59Even though Punisher, I thought he got some great comic relief, which is ironic having, you know, making Punish the comic relief character.
- 38:06But even then, like, I thought they didn't shy away from the darkness of that character and having him as a mirror of what Peter could become if you continue to go down that path.
- 38:18It was, I thought, very important to have Punisher as the.
- 38:21Because in every MCU Spider man movie, we've had, like, another Avenger or, like, a character, you know, as sort of the main.
- 38:31I don't want to say sidekick, but, like, Whereas, like, mentor figure.
- 38:33It was Tony first, then Mysterio, then Dr.
- 38:37Strange, and now Punisher and I.
- 38:39Punisher was the perfect one to bring in here, not only for the buddy comedy aspect, but more so for where, oh, they, like, you know, if Peter kept going down this path, he could easily become that and, you
- 38:51know, and throw away his principles.
- 38:54So I thought.
- 38:54And.
- 38:55And then what I wasn't expecting and I thought would work really well is by the end of the movie, even Frank is questioning his own values because as many people as he has no problem gunning down.
- 39:08This was the first time you actually see him regret almost.
- 39:14Almost killing someone because he does care for Peter.
- 39:18Well, they did kind of.
- 39:19Well, there was.
- 39:19In Punisher season two, they did of.
- 39:22There was a point where he thought he had killed a couple of civilians, but it was a manipulation by Billy Russo.
- 39:32But still, it's like, other than that, we hadn't really seen him have any remorse for killing or almost killing.
- 39:40And this, you know, I thought provided a really interesting kind of roadblock in his path going forward.
- 39:47And I would love to see more of this duo.
- 39:49Yeah.
- 39:50He becomes a soldier at the foot of the cross.
- 39:52Right.
- 39:52You know, after Peter has made this sacrifice is like whoa.
- 39:57His.
- 39:58The ground was.
- 39:59Was shaken and for.
- 40:02For Peter Punisher and.
- 40:05And it did help to open his eyes up to something new.
- 40:08Yeah.
- 40:09And how about that?
- 40:11I heard that there was going to be that there's a.
- 40:14That there's a deleted scene that.
- 40:16That Rosario Dawson, she is the one that saved his suit.
- 40:22I saw that.
- 40:23Yeah.
- 40:24Everything.
- 40:24So yeah, that would have been cool.
- 40:27To have in there.
- 40:28That would have been cool.
- 40:29And that moment at the end, they're all cheering and he is all.
- 40:35And he is inside of it and that little boy does a little thwip thwip.
- 40:40You know, it's like, oh, so good.
- 40:45There's.
- 40:45There was also speculation maybe that kid is Miles.
- 40:48I don't know.
- 40:49Like.
- 40:50Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, I know.
- 40:52Yeah, yeah.
- 40:53But like there was that and I was kind of hoping that because I like, you know, if I have any criticisms, the post credit scene I could have done without.
- 41:01I know they had do a doomsday tie in but it was kind of.
- 41:04That was whatever.
- 41:05But I kind of was hoping for him to see the woman in the apartment building again and be like, sorry, I didn't get it.
- 41:13You get your name and she's like, I'm Gwen.
- 41:15You know, like I was like that.
- 41:17Would have been the relationship with Ned.
- 41:20How that, that and how they left it on that note was like, oh, I see what you're saying now.
- 41:30It's like a film is how it ends.
- 41:33And they are.
- 41:35They are ending it on the relationship between him and Ned.
- 41:40So, so yeah, yeah.
- 41:43Well, again they're like the power of.
- 41:45Of.
- 41:46Of friendship.
- 41:47It.
- 41:47It's that that moment reminded me of the power of friendship and like just whatever the.
- 41:55The what the memories that ground us.
- 41:58So it reminded me of when I'm doing a pastoral care visit for someone who is in a memory unit and the moment I say start praying the Lord's Prayer, bam.
- 42:14Like they just.
- 42:15They're locked in.
- 42:16They don't remember who I am, don't remember many things, but say the Lord's Prayer locked in with me or if I start seeing an amazing grace, locked in with me.
- 42:27Right.
- 42:28There's just these, these things where that are.
- 42:31Have become so deeply a part of us that, that even the things that have robbed us.
- 42:37Can't rob us of it.
- 42:39Yeah.
- 42:40And so just that handshake and how it just went back into it, I was like, oh man, that is so good.
- 42:50How.
- 42:50Yeah, even.
- 42:51Even the, even this cosmic magic cannot rob friendship is more powerful than even that analogy.
- 43:00Yeah, for sure.
- 43:02That's for sure.
- 43:04I get.
- 43:04Oh, Evan did have already made my quote on Sunday into a meme.
- 43:08I was.
- 43:09I knew he would, but I, I did the like, one day we will.
- 43:14There will be a day when grown men won't cry during a Spider man movie.
- 43:18But it is not the same.
- 43:20Yeah, I couldn't cry.
- 43:22Like, I couldn't cry because of, because of my problem with it.
- 43:27And the first thing that I thought of was this is a super kind of like a deep cut or kind of niche.
- 43:35But do you guys know that.
- 43:38That, that.
- 43:40That that's a fan made animated metalcore song where they critique the sequel trilogy for Star wars, saying that they.
- 43:51That they.
- 43:52That they should have cried.
- 43:54But.
- 43:55But, but they ruined my.
- 43:58My, my Star wars for me.
- 44:01That's what happened to me.
- 44:02It's like I want to cry here.
- 44:04I want to feel these emotions.
- 44:07I want to, but I can't.
- 44:09I can't.
- 44:10Like, I should have cried.
- 44:14Yeah, right on, right on, right on.
- 44:16I covered it for you, Evan.
- 44:18So I'm good?
- 44:18Yeah, yeah, you crack.
- 44:21Kevin cried for all.
- 44:23Twice.
- 44:24Sadie Sink has done that to me all the time.
- 44:26Because the, the, like the scene wherein stranger things.
- 44:31Well, she technically does die, Max.
- 44:33Like temporarily dies.
- 44:34That.
- 44:34I mean that.
- 44:35That scene wrecked me every time.
- 44:37But then all.
- 44:37But it was the same in here when, when she and Peter come together.
- 44:42And that's another point that, that's cool that you bring that up.
- 44:47That's another example of the power of your.
- 44:52Of your community and the, the power like the good that can come from you being vulnerable to your friends with.
- 45:03Where they know what music you like.
- 45:06So when you go get caught by some demon, they know what song to play to bring you back.
- 45:11You know, it's like you like.
- 45:14Yeah.
- 45:14So.
- 45:15Right, right.
- 45:16Yep, yep.
- 45:17Mercedes Sink was cool.
- 45:19Jean Gray and the whole.
- 45:22Yeah, what's that song?
- 45:23That.
- 45:24That is like, I'm a man, but I'm an island or something like that.
- 45:29I was trying to think of that old song.
- 45:31It's like from the 70s or something.
- 45:33I don't know.
- 45:36I'm not sure off the top of my head, but okay.
- 45:38But yeah, you know, I just.
- 45:41I'm a huge X Men fan, so it was great to see part of this origin story emerge and you discover why.
- 45:55One of the reasons Jean Grey values friendship and community is because of.
- 46:01Of what transpired in this.
- 46:04I love that.
- 46:04The other thing that I love there was just a little bit of a thank you.
- 46:09Finally.
- 46:10This has been annoying me for so long is Peter Parker's comment to the Hulk.
- 46:21I didn't know you could get that big.
- 46:24I mean, funny in some way, but I was like, finally, thank you for not a tamp again.
- 46:32Like a Hulk.
- 46:33Hulk.
- 46:33Yeah, you're in that Hulk form.
- 46:35It, like, I want that whole form to fight Thanos again.
- 46:38Can we have a rematch?
- 46:40Because.
- 46:41Yes.
- 46:42Right.
- 46:42I.
- 46:43I feel like Hulk has been one of the most inconsistent characters in the mcu.
- 46:46Like, I've always loved Mark Ruffalo in the role, but, like, they made him way too comedic for a while there and kept on getting down.
- 46:52And I'm like, yes, finally make him terrifying again where.
- 46:56Where, like, you don't mess with this and make it a reason for why.
- 47:00And the afraid the savage Hulk probably knows Peter is.
- 47:05That's pretty.
- 47:05That's.
- 47:06That's 80.
- 47:06That's an interesting twist I didn't see coming.
- 47:09Yeah.
- 47:10So.
- 47:11Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 47:12That was good.
- 47:13I mean, I.
- 47:14So I was.
- 47:15And how big his hand was compared to Spiderman.
- 47:18It's been like knowing they did such a great, great job at putting the scale of how big he was compared to his body.
- 47:26I was like, his hand took up, like, half of his whole body.
- 47:29I was like, holy moly.
- 47:31Yeah, this dude is huge.
- 47:35Oh, man.
- 47:36Yeah.
- 47:36It was just that moment for me.
- 47:38That whole scene for me was like, when somebody, like, adjusts a picture on the wall.
- 47:43I have a picture.
- 47:44Okay.
- 47:44Thank you.
- 47:45This has been.
- 47:46I've been waiting for this.
- 47:50You bring up the Hulk and it, like, the way, like, I related to.
- 47:58I was not expecting, like, the way that Bruce Banner, the way he freaked out at the end where he said, what did I do?
- 48:10Did I hurt somebody?
- 48:12That's powerful.
- 48:13That's powerful because I.
- 48:15I felt that in my first.
- 48:19My first episode that I did or that I had for my.
- 48:25My psychosis episode.
- 48:28That's the first thing that I said.
- 48:30I said, where's my daughter?
- 48:31Did I hurt my daughter?
- 48:32It freaked me out.
- 48:34It freaked me out.
- 48:35And I know the power of, like, blacking out and being like.
- 48:39And kind of losing control like that.
- 48:41And to show up and like, oh, shoot.
- 48:43Oh, shoot.
- 48:43What happened?
- 48:44What happened?
- 48:45And they.
- 48:46I was not expecting to feel that.
- 48:49And then kind of.
- 48:50Kind of like went back into the story.
- 48:53I was like, that was hard.
- 48:56Yeah.
- 48:57And then we don't know where he went, so I don't know.
- 49:01Yeah.
- 49:02Well, that's.
- 49:03That's also going to be really interesting to see where the.
- 49:06Yeah.
- 49:06Where did this.
- 49:07Where does the Hulk go next?
- 49:08Just general this whole journey.
- 49:11Rematch.
- 49:12She Hulk.
- 49:14So much.
- 49:15Anyone who thinks superhero movies aren't, are like too immature.
- 49:19I'm like, look at all the like, theology and philosophy we're getting.
- 49:23They are as, as, as Jill said they are.
- 49:27Well, they are the modern day myth.
- 49:30They are the Odyssey.
- 49:32Yeah, absolutely.
- 49:34Yeah.
- 49:34And absolutely one day.
- 49:37Awesome.
- 49:39Funny story.
- 49:40So when he's fighting the hand.
- 49:42Okay, hold up the hand.
- 49:44Completely wasted here.
- 49:46Like, completely wasted.
- 49:47They're just there to look cool.
- 49:49And why are they teaming up with the DoD like, whatever.
- 49:54But they were cool.
- 49:55But when they were in the last fight, when they were.
- 50:00When they were doing a Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon stuff, I remember because I made that connection to what Joel said.
- 50:09How.
- 50:10How they are modern day myths.
- 50:13And I remember when I saw Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, I had a similar feeling that I felt because for a split second I thought that people in real life, they could fly and they could fight like that.
- 50:30So I had a kind of like, deconstruction from that too.
- 50:36Wait,.
- 50:38They can't do this.
- 50:39And you're like, rip off.
- 50:41People can't actually do this.
- 50:42What is this?
- 50:47Well, guys, this has been a blast.
- 50:49I know we're ran out of time here and I don't want Joshua's computer to explode when he edits, but any quick closing thoughts before we sign off for the evening?
- 51:01I'm not gonna lie.
- 51:02Like, I'm kind of excited for Doomsday.
- 51:08But as much as the problem that I had with this film, I'm cool with if a doomsday completely flops because we have the setup of the X Men, which was greatly done here.
- 51:24So, yeah, I'm kind of cool with that.
- 51:26One more thing I wanted to get clear because I wasn't sure.
- 51:30So the.
- 51:31So what I picked up on was that the Lexmen, they probably do not.
- 51:37Exist in this universe.
- 51:38Right.
- 51:39That's kind of what I picked up on.
- 51:41Okay.
- 51:42Yeah.
- 51:42Or not.
- 51:43Yeah, yeah, not yet.
- 51:45I was expecting a Professor X to.
- 51:49To take off the Cerebro helmet.
- 51:52It gotta show up.
- 51:53I'm like, oh, okay.
- 51:55Yeah, right, right.
- 51:56Yeah, yeah, right.
- 51:57Yeah,.
- 52:00Right, right.
- 52:01But that's the big man.
- 52:02It's like mutation clearly exists in the mcu.
- 52:06Like I said, not even counting the Fox X Men, but like mutants in this universe, basically they exist as to what area.
- 52:14Like, you know, is Professor X already there?
- 52:17How is that gonna go out?
- 52:18Like, I don't think we're getting all the answers there until after Secret wars or during Secret wars, however that plays out.
- 52:25So they exist.
- 52:26But yeah, I don't think the team is formed yet.
- 52:28And that's what's going to.
- 52:29What the reboot movie is going to be about.
- 52:32Yeah.
- 52:32Yeah.
- 52:32The only thing I have to say, a closing thought since we're talking about X Men is please do not kill off an iteration of Patrick Stewart's Professor X another time on the big screen for me.
- 52:45How many times?
- 52:46Madness.
- 52:46Yeah, that one was hard to watch.
- 52:49Yeah.
- 52:49I mean, yeah, this could be.
- 52:53Yeah.
- 52:54Because we've got.
- 52:55Yeah.
- 52:55Last stand Logan.
- 52:58Multiversimatis.
- 52:59Yeah.
- 52:59I mean, come on.
- 53:00How many times do you have to work hard?
- 53:02Please, let's not do this again.
- 53:03Yeah, please.
- 53:04Okay.
- 53:05Yeah.
- 53:05Also, if any one, like, I'm excited to see a new iteration of the X Men and as much as I love the Fox movies, like, yes, we're bringing on to something else after Doomsday, Secret Wars.
- 53:16But if they wanted to carry one over, not even Wolverine, like I want to say, Jackson, I'm okay with doing a different Wolverine.
- 53:22I just want them to carry Channing Tatum over because I'm just like, I can't see anyone else playing Gambit.
- 53:27So if they want to wreck Iron, use him for the MCU by all,.
- 53:31Whoever they have, we'll take it.
- 53:33We'll take it.
- 53:34If it's a team of people or there's a one guy that is, that's a writing the content and feed dialogue for, for, for Nightcrawler in X Men 97.
- 53:51Bring him on here.
- 53:53Like we want that, we want that vibe because they are, they are 100%.
- 54:02They are throwing strikes with that character, man.
- 54:06It's there.
- 54:07Oh, so good.
- 54:08Yeah.
- 54:10Bring all The X Men 97 writers over to the movies because they know what they're doing.
- 54:15They do, they do.
- 54:17Oh, cool.
- 54:18Fun times.
- 54:20Awesome.
